Speaker 1: the nightstand to allow room for the drip stains noted
• 1:44
Speaker 1: in the floor. B. Drip stains and and drip trails
• 1:48
Speaker 1: are noted on the bottom shelf of the nightstand and
• 1:50
Speaker 1: on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. Drip
• 1:53
Speaker 1: stains and trails are created when a surface, wet with blood,
• 1:57
Speaker 1: is above the level of the surface showing deposition. C.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: Spatter stains associated with impact are noted on the wall
• 2:05
Speaker 1: and on top of the nightstand. 57. Stain 31 in
• 2:07
Speaker 1: DSC 4941 is a cessation pattern located on the wall

Speaker 1: A closer view of the spatter pattern is depicted in
• 3:03
Speaker 1: DSC 4562. B. The appearance of the stains indicated by
• 3:09
Speaker 1: the yellow oval in DSC 4562 is consistent with diluted blood.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: Diluted blood is created when blood is mixed with another liquid. I.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: The mouth and nose injuries of Xenocrinodal, as noted in
• 3:22
Speaker 1: the autopsy report, are potential sources of diluted blood. C.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: The shape of area of convergence of these spatter stains
• 3:31
Speaker 1: indicate that the source of blood was slightly above the
• 3:33
Speaker 1: level of these stains. 60. Spatter stains associated with impact
• 3:39
Speaker 1: are located on the wall to the right of the
• 3:42
Speaker 1: opening for the closet as depicted in image ISP 4740.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: The spatter is indicated by marker 29 in image DSC 4892. A.

• 3:57
Speaker 1: DSC 4892 cropped. I. The mouth and nose injuries of Xanocarnotl,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: as noted in the autopsy report, are potential sources of
• 4:07
Speaker 1: diluted blood. B. The directionality of the spatter stain is
• 4:11
Speaker 1: from right to left, as indicated by the yellow arrow
• 4:14
Speaker 1: inserted in image DSC 4892, cropped. C. These spatter stains
• 4:21
Speaker 1: originated from an impact to a source of exposed blood
• 4:24
Speaker 1: located approximately 3 feet and 7 inches above the floor,
• 4:29
Speaker 1: as indicated by the scale in image DSC 4892, cropped. 61.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: Transfer stains are noted on the white faux fur chair
• 4:39
Speaker 1: depicted in image ISP 5091. This chair is located adjacent
• 4:44
Speaker 1: to the head of Zanacur Notal. There are additional transfer
• 4:47
Speaker 1: stains on the uppermost portion of the leg of the
• 4:50
Speaker 1: desk depicted in image ISP 1593 and are indicated by
• 4:54
Speaker 1: marker 35. A. Marker 35, presumptive test for blood, was positive. B.
• 5:01

• 5:06
Speaker 1: the trash can underneath the desk as depicted in image
• 5:10
Speaker 1: DSC 4800 and DSC 4800 cropped, and indicated by marker T. A.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: Swipe stains result from the transfer of blood from a
• 5:20
Speaker 1: blood-bearing surface onto another surface, with characteristics that indicate relative
• 5:24
Speaker 1: motion between the two surfaces. B. Testing showed the presence
• 5:29
Speaker 1: of blood of Xanocarnotl. Upper portion of Xanocarnotl's bedroom door, 63.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: DSC 4781 depicts the upper portion of Xanocarnotl's bedroom door.
• 5:41
Speaker 1: The bloodstains are depicted and indicate a Cast-off pattern composed
• 5:47
Speaker 1: of diluted blood and associated flow patterns. 1. Cast-off is
• 5:51
Speaker 1: created when blood is released as a result of a
• 5:53
Speaker 1: bloodied object in motion. 2. The appearance of the bloodstains
• 5:57
Speaker 1: reveal the blood has been diluted by another liquid. 1.
• 6:01
Speaker 1: The mouth and nose injuries of Xanocarnotl, as noted in
• 6:04
Speaker 1: the autopsy report, are potential sources of diluted blood. 3.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: Flow patterns in this instance are are the result of
• 6:12
Speaker 1: gravitational attraction. Lower portion of Xanakernodle's bedroom door and adjacent floor. 64.
• 6:19
Speaker 1: DSC 4784 shows the lower portion of Xanakernodle's bedroom door
• 6:24
Speaker 1: exterior surface. A. Stain 36 indicates diluted flow stains on
• 6:30
Speaker 1: the exterior surface of the bedroom door. 1. The appearance
• 6:34
Speaker 1: of these stains indicates that the blood has been diluted
• 6:37
Speaker 1: with another liquid, altering their appearance. 2. Subsequent testing of
• 6:42
Speaker 1: these flow stains on the exterior of the bedroom door
• 6:45
Speaker 1: indicates the blood of Xanocurnodal. 3. The mouth and nose
• 6:50
Speaker 1: injuries of Xanocurnodal, as noted in the autopsy report, are
• 6:53
Speaker 1: potential sources of diluted blood. B. Drip stains were noted
• 6:57
Speaker 1: on the bedroom floor below the door. This relative location
• 7:01
Speaker 1: of the drip stains is indicated by a pink marker
• 7:04
Speaker 1: on the floor in images DSC 4784. These drip stains
• 7:09
Speaker 1: are better visualized In image DSC 4787. 1. These drip
• 7:16
Speaker 1: stains do not appear to have been altered or diluted. C.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: The location of these drip stains near the opening edge
• 7:22
Speaker 1: of the bedroom door represents the furthermost location of undiluted blood. D.
• 7:28
Speaker 1: Once Zanna Kernodel was actively bleeding, there is no physical
• 7:32
Speaker 1: evidence that she was ever east of this location. Conclusions.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: There's no physical evidence that any of the decedents were
• 7:40
Speaker 1: outside of their respective bedrooms after sustaining significant bloodletting injuries.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: The only decedent to move from the bed and or
• 7:48
Speaker 1: be standing upright after actively bleeding was anachronotal. 2. Someone
• 7:53
Speaker 1: other than the decedents had a source of blood on
• 7:55
Speaker 1: their person or in their possession and is responsible for
• 7:59
Speaker 1: the creation of the bloodstains in the following locations. A.
• 8:03
Speaker 1: Madison Mogan's bedroom door. B. Stairway leading from the third
• 8:07
Speaker 1: level to the second level. C. Stairway leading from the
• 8:10
Speaker 1: second level to the first level. D. Diluted stain on
• 8:14
Speaker 1: top of the beer pong table on the second level. E.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: Half wall near the end of the beer pong table
• 8:20
Speaker 1: on the second level. F. Wooden ledge on the half
• 8:23
Speaker 1: wall on the second level. 3. Presence of diluted bloodstains
• 8:28
Speaker 1: outside of the respective bedrooms indicates that the person, persons
• 8:31
Speaker 1: responsible for the creation of these bloodstains, also caused their dilution. 4.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: The cast-off bloodstains on the half-wall at the end of
• 8:40
Speaker 1: the beer pong table and in the stairwell between second
• 8:43
Speaker 1: and first floor indicate that the source of the diluted
• 8:45
Speaker 1: blood was in motion. 5. Presence of diluted blood from
• 8:50
Speaker 1: Kaylee Gonsalves and Madison Mogan in the cast-off bloodstains on
• 8:54
Speaker 1: the half-wall at the end of the beer pong table
• 8:56
Speaker 1: and in the stairwell opening between the second and first
• 8:59
Speaker 1: floors establishes that Ms. Gonsalves and Ms. Mogan had already
• 9:04
Speaker 1: been injured and that the source of their blood had
• 9:06
Speaker 1: been mixed with another liquid before the cast-off stains were created. 6.
• 9:12
Speaker 1: Transfer stain D on the north side of the wooden
• 9:14
Speaker 1: ledge of the half wall in the living room, which
• 9:17
Speaker 1: was identified as containing the blood of Ethan Chapin in
• 9:20
Speaker 1: the only undiluted blood stains identified outside of the bedroom. 7.
• 9:25
Speaker 1: The knife sheath recovered from the bed of Madison Mogan
• 9:28
Speaker 1: had DNA associated with Brian Kohlberger and blood spatters associated
• 9:32
Speaker 1: with with an impact delivered to Kaylee Gonsalves and Madison Mogan. 8.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: There is no physical evidence to indicate that a significant
• 9:39
Speaker 1: amount of time elapsed during the commission of this violent activity. 9.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: There is no physical evidence to exclude a single perpetrator
• 9:47
Speaker 1: causing the death of these four individuals. 10. There is
• 9:52
Speaker 1: no scientific basis to predict the necessary occurrence of secondary
• 9:56
Speaker 1: footwear transfer stains due to the overall lack of visible
• 9:59
Speaker 1: footwear patterns in the entire crime scene. The findings are
• 10:03
Speaker 1: based upon the material provided to date. Submission of additional
• 10:07
Speaker 1: material could alter these conclusions. Respectfully submitted, T. Paulette Sutton
