- 0:01Speaker 1: The play is in confused.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Podcast is rated M for marijuana no miners, but your
- 0:05Speaker 2: audience is only.
- 0:07Speaker 1: It's good to be back after some much needed time off. Yeah,
- 0:11Speaker 1: we didn't do a podcast last week, so and people
- 0:15Speaker 1: did reach out to me like what the hell? Oh
- 0:17Speaker 1: good people reach out to you at all?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Right, Really, I do constantly have people that say that
- 0:24Speaker 2: they're enjoying the podcast.
- 0:26Speaker 1: So far, so good.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Have my responses always Wow, somebody's listening. Sweet, thanks, Yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 2: we have a couple of those. That's pretty cool. Couple listeners.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Nice. Working on getting sponsorship. Yeah, yeah, things are
- 0:36Speaker 1: falling into place for us. I think they are. The
- 0:39Speaker 1: stars are aligning.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We're gonna sing on the podcast every week.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Now, didn't I tell you that it's a new feature.
- 0:48Speaker 1: How are we doing on cursing this time around? I
- 0:50Speaker 1: only said fuck once so far? Well now twice? All right,
- 0:53Speaker 1: so we're going to try to make another conscious effort
- 0:55Speaker 1: to not Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Sure, I mean this still is not going to be
- 0:58Speaker 2: your family friendly podcast.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I wouldn't recommend, you know, listening with the kids in
- 1:02Speaker 1: the car.
- 1:03Speaker 2: However, I will tell you that, you know, I often
- 1:06Speaker 2: don't think about parents driving in the car with their
- 1:09Speaker 2: kids when I should be. I remember a few times
- 1:13Speaker 2: discussing Santa Claus and or the Tooth Fairy on the
- 1:20Speaker 2: air and getting some nasty emails from some parents in
- 1:23Speaker 2: Lowersaucen Township that were a little annoyed.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and how did you say?
- 1:28Speaker 2: I think, I like told the story about how I
- 1:30Speaker 2: discovered that Santa Claus and all that shit was fake.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Ah. That's an interesting topic though, Like when is it
- 1:36Speaker 1: okay to talk about something like that in public? Mark?
- 1:39Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 1:40Speaker 3: It seems to me like people do whatever they want
- 1:42Speaker 3: in public anymore?
- 1:44Speaker 2: What's they cut off with Santa Claus? What's the cutoff
- 1:47Speaker 2: with Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy for them?
- 1:49Speaker 3: Matter if you're fifteen or sixteen and still will even
- 1:52Speaker 3: either well.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Fifteen, geez, fifteen you want to? I mean, I feel
- 1:57Speaker 2: like you figure it out on your own by like,
- 2:00Speaker 2: so I started asking some questions second third, fourth grade?
- 2:03Speaker 1: You know around there for fourth grade? Is that when
- 2:06Speaker 1: you found out? Fourth grade, even I think is a
- 2:08Speaker 1: little old. Third grade? I think is is that when
- 2:10Speaker 1: you found out? Can you?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yeah, what about you? Mark?
- 2:14Speaker 3: My parents told us from the start that it wasn't true.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Really yep. Interesting huh.
- 2:19Speaker 3: So my job was just to not tell other people
- 2:22Speaker 3: that I knew this.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah, was there a reason they It was just because
- 2:26Speaker 1: they didn't want to spread false stories. They said they
- 2:29Speaker 1: just didn't feel comfortable lying to us.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Huh.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Very interesting. I found out because I found presents hidden
- 2:37Speaker 1: and I stumbled upon them, and then I acted like
- 2:39Speaker 1: I didn't know. But then they found out that I
- 2:41Speaker 1: definitely found them. Like there was like I made a mess,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I was going through stuff. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I think I was probably about eight. Yeah, if
- 2:52Speaker 1: I had to guess, yeah, no, I'll tell you how
- 2:54Speaker 1: I found out. It was.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It was like a quadruple Waymy my parents took care
- 3:00Speaker 2: of it all in one. So I got in trouble
- 3:02Speaker 2: for a lying in school. I got like I lied
- 3:05Speaker 2: about something. I don't remember the specifics of what, but again,
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was in elementary school.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I think I was in like second third grade. Previously.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It was like Easter, so the Easter bunny had dropped
- 3:15Speaker 1: off a basket.
- 3:16Speaker 6: And I remember this as I don't know, I don't
- 3:18Speaker 6: know why I did this, but I remember this as
- 3:20Speaker 6: a kid, like I remember waking up on Easter morning
- 3:23Speaker 6: and I remember taking a dog treat, like going in
- 3:25Speaker 6: the cabinet in the kitchen and taking a dog treat
- 3:27Speaker 6: and putting a dog treat in the easter basket and
- 3:30Speaker 6: being like, oh.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The Easter bunny left a treat for the dog. And
- 3:34Speaker 2: I remember my parents waking up that morning and being like,
- 3:38Speaker 2: why is there what what the Easter bunny left the
- 3:41Speaker 2: treat for the Oh okay, yeah, the Easter bunny left
- 3:44Speaker 2: the tree for the dog.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Okay, sure, sure.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And then I remember getting in trouble a couple weeks
- 3:48Speaker 2: later at school for lying about something, and I remember
- 3:50Speaker 2: my parents being so pissed off at me that my
- 3:52Speaker 2: mom freaked out and was like, you know how I
- 3:55Speaker 2: know you lied because there is no Easter Bundy because
- 3:58Speaker 2: I'm the Easter buddy and I'm the tooth fairy.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Wow.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but you know, are you traumatized?
- 4:06Speaker 2: No, Because, like, in their defense, I was a little
- 4:08Speaker 2: ship back then, Dude, I was like always I was
- 4:11Speaker 2: always in trouble, Like there was always something going on.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So I can see that. Yeah, yeah, it's not that bully, man.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I their fault. I drove them to drink. It's amazing
- 4:19Speaker 1: my parents aren't alcoholics.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I wonder what a kid would think an experience of
- 4:24Speaker 3: actually seeing the Easter Bunny would be like them, because.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Could you imagine then, could you imagine waking up in
- 4:33Speaker 6: this giant but especially if it looks like the Easter
- 4:36Speaker 6: Bunny at the mall, that's creepy.
- 4:38Speaker 1: That thing hops in your house. It doesn't even have
- 4:40Speaker 1: to hop because it's like a human.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Even if you saw that from a distance, it would
- 4:44Speaker 3: be scary.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Let alone walking into your living room like at night
- 4:48Speaker 1: and seeing the silhouette of a gigantic Easter Bunny in
- 4:51Speaker 1: your living Oh my god. Yeah, that's horrifying. You could
- 4:54Speaker 1: you imagine? That's a very good point, Mark, very good point.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Your apartment's not that bad today said it was gonna
- 4:59Speaker 1: be messy, But it looks like you did some straightening up.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I did. I I tried to clean up a little bit.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Do you remember when you walked in here, Mark, if
- 5:05Speaker 1: it smelled like any kind of herb. I don't think
- 5:08Speaker 1: it smelled like anything. I've had a candle. So Mark
- 5:11Speaker 1: and I lived together for a really long time back
- 5:13Speaker 1: in the day. We used to smoke in our apartment
- 5:15Speaker 1: and we lived above a pizza restaurant in downtown Bethlehem.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Do the math. People were listening around. Wow, let's be clear.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You say, oh that sounds awesome, right does unless you
- 5:26Speaker 1: have a guy who runs a pizza shop and somehow
- 5:29Speaker 1: can fuck up pizza. You know what. The pizza wasn't good,
- 5:32Speaker 1: It wasn't very good. So wasn't preferred. I wasn't preferred.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Was it free? Ever? One time? It comes to mind
- 5:40Speaker 1: one time? Wait, wait, one time our friend at old roommate, Ron,
- 5:45Speaker 1: who lives in Canada. Now, we were we got really high.
- 5:48Speaker 1: We went outside and we were having a cigarette I
- 5:50Speaker 1: smoked at the time, and then our landlord came out
- 5:52Speaker 1: with a pizza box and he said, hey, you guys
- 5:54Speaker 1: want to leftover pizza? And I went no, and Ron goes, yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 1: well the pizza and he's like, don't say no to
- 6:01Speaker 1: you know, our landlord like that. But you know, a
- 6:05Speaker 1: plain pizza, how can you fuck it up? Some places can't,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it turns out. But the rest of the food pretty good.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And we had access to beer way too easily, you know.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And if we ran out of beer, I was in
- 6:14Speaker 1: a four loco phase for a while.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I had the caffeine in it yeah, so Becker
- 6:20Speaker 3: would just be up all night drinking his four loco
- 6:23Speaker 3: and staying on Wednesday night.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yuh four loco?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Is it scientifically proven that if you smoke a lot
- 6:32Speaker 2: of marijuana that your nose doesn't smell it? Like I
- 6:36Speaker 2: feel like I don't smell weed like other people do.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Ah same here, Like sometimes some people walk in this
- 6:42Speaker 2: apartment and they go, whoa reeks in here, dude, And then.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Other people are like, I don't smell anything. I think
- 6:47Speaker 1: you get acclimated to do it. It's just something that
- 6:48Speaker 1: you do. You think it's smelled like today, Just curious
- 6:51Speaker 1: because most people when they come in here, you ask
- 6:53Speaker 1: them do you smell like weed in your But when
- 6:54Speaker 1: we lived together, we had people over all the time,
- 6:57Speaker 1: always smoking, and I just always thought, oh, if my
- 7:00Speaker 1: dad had to come over or something like that, we
- 7:02Speaker 1: could clean the place up, like put the pillows on
- 7:04Speaker 1: the couch and put some air freshener and stuff like that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: No one's gonna figure, you know.
- 7:09Speaker 3: This was in our twenties. That was different. I think, yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 3: And if I did have somebody coming over, I was
- 7:17Speaker 3: definitely aware of making sure they were that it was
- 7:22Speaker 3: aired out or whatever needed to be done, you know, Yeah, definitely,
- 7:25Speaker 3: but that just didn't happen a lot at that period
- 7:28Speaker 3: of time. Yeah, I normally didn't have any money over
- 7:32Speaker 3: that would be any kind of.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah, most of our friends smoked. That apartment was occupied
- 7:38Speaker 1: for a long time, over a decade. And I don't
- 7:41Speaker 1: know if our landlord knew that we smoked upstairs or
- 7:45Speaker 1: if he didn't know. And then the one day I
- 7:47Speaker 1: found out he actually did know because I was home
- 7:50Speaker 1: from work on a day off, I had a friend over,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and typically when we smoked, the windows were closed, and
- 7:56Speaker 1: that particular day, I decided for some reason to open
- 7:59Speaker 1: up the window. And are you paying attention? I need
- 8:04Speaker 1: your reaction to this story. I'm taking selfie, okay, anyway, No, no, no,
- 8:08Speaker 1: go ahead, No, I'm playing attention.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Gee.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know the story, so Selex is an
- 8:14Speaker 1: old man. I'm listening to your story.
- 8:16Speaker 2: See look, look, waited, hold on, you're taking a selfie
- 8:23Speaker 2: right now?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm txting somebody.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was supposed to call somebody and I didn't, so
- 8:28Speaker 2: I'm taking a selfie and saying I'm recording my back cast.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Gotcha all right? Go ahead? And am I allowed to
- 8:34Speaker 1: do that?
- 8:34Speaker 2: Sure, all right, go ahead, should we get started. I
- 8:38Speaker 2: didn't need to finish that story either. That's the fuck.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, good finishing story. There you go. You made me
- 8:44Speaker 1: curse again, made me curse again. It is a very
- 8:48Speaker 1: long intro. My longtime friend and uh he's a travel guy.
- 8:54Speaker 1: We're gonna talk more about that in a few minutes.
- 8:55Speaker 1: His name is Mark and he is on episode thirteen
- 8:58Speaker 1: of the Blaze of Confused podcast, which we're gonna kick
- 9:00Speaker 1: off right now. I guess Wow, episode thirteen.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Becker had told me that I would be getting the
- 9:05Speaker 3: Tyler Rothrock treatment. So far, I'm not sure about it.
- 9:09Speaker 1: The Tyler Rothrock treatment. There you go, let's start this
- 9:13Speaker 1: fucking show. Stop Curtzy.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Welcome to the Blazed and Confused podcast with Becker and Joel,
- 9:22Speaker 5: the trivia podcast where the questions are high, and so
- 9:26Speaker 5: are they. It's time to spuck your curiosity and light
- 9:30Speaker 5: up some knowledge.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Though.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Blazed and Confused podcast starts.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Now.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Wow Lucky Episode thirteen. Unlucky, I can't hear anything. What
- 9:42Speaker 1: do you mean you can't hear anything? I hear like
- 9:44Speaker 1: music really low and I can't hear anything else. Hey there,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I am cool. God, what did you have turned down.
- 9:50Speaker 3: No, he had turned the music down because it was
- 9:53Speaker 3: too loud for me, gotcha, it was just very loud.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It's hardy to hurt yours.
- 9:59Speaker 3: More about my hearing because of all the concerts and
- 10:02Speaker 3: standing right by huge speakers and things. Yeah, yeah, you should.
- 10:05Speaker 3: You should be concerned about that. Now, be concerned about it.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Now he's doing that thing from forty years ago. It's
- 10:14Speaker 3: still funny after all these use.
- 10:17Speaker 1: All right, let's get the show rolling here. We got
- 10:21Speaker 1: some rapid round questions for Mark today.
- 10:23Speaker 2: That's after karaoke, still crazy after oh these yes, yes.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Stu crazy.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I'm not convinced you should make that a regular feature.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Thank you anyway, sixty seconds, ten questions, whichever you know
- 10:39Speaker 1: finishes first. I go first. Yeah, the game begins.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Three two, All right, mikey rothe's questions. Remember which war
- 10:51Speaker 2: ended with the signing of the treat of Versailles. It
- 10:55Speaker 2: went to go get ice cream at a place called Versailles.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It was the sweet Street of Versailles.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Treaty is a typeo.
- 11:05Speaker 4: The game.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'll read it again.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Which war ended with the signing of the Treaty of
- 11:15Speaker 2: Versailles eighteen twelve? Now wrong, in Breaking Bad. What is
- 11:20Speaker 2: Walter White's alias The Man in the Hat Close? Which
- 11:25Speaker 2: rock band released the album A Night at the Opera
- 11:27Speaker 2: in nineteen seventy five?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Point?
- 11:30Speaker 4: Got it?
- 11:31Speaker 1: In which sport would you perform a slam dunk?
- 11:33Speaker 2: That's an easy one. I think, yeah, that's an easy one.
- 11:36Speaker 2: How many, jeez? How many colors are there on a
- 11:39Speaker 2: Rubik's cube?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Six? Got it? Six?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Which animal is the largest species of the cat family,
- 11:44Speaker 2: tooth cat?
- 11:47Speaker 1: How often? How often do we experience a leap year?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Four years?
- 11:51Speaker 4: You got it?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Which actress played the fictional character Catnus Everdeen. Oh, Jennifer
- 11:56Speaker 1: Laurence got it?
- 11:57Speaker 2: A graphic interchange format is the proper name of what?
- 12:01Speaker 1: I got? Which famous magician died from a punch in
- 12:05Speaker 1: the stomach and David Copperfield. No, he's still alive. I
- 12:10Speaker 1: don't know who that is? That should? I know who
- 12:13Speaker 1: that is? Harry Houdini. I know who that is. Who's
- 12:16Speaker 1: David Copperfield. He's a pretty famous magician as well, so Mark,
- 12:20Speaker 1: he did pretty all right. Which war ended with the
- 12:22Speaker 1: signing of the Treaty of Versailles. That was World War two?
- 12:25Speaker 1: You said the War of eighteen twelve we were a
- 12:27Speaker 1: couple of years old.
- 12:29Speaker 2: In Breaking Bad, Walter White's alias is Heisenberg.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You said the Man of the Hat, he did wear
- 12:34Speaker 1: a hat. He did wear a hat. That's why it
- 12:35Speaker 1: was close. Which rock band released the album Night at
- 12:38Speaker 1: the Opera? You got that one? That was queen? In
- 12:41Speaker 1: which sport would you perform? Slam dunk? That was basketball?
- 12:44Speaker 1: I didn't know if you get that one. Yeah. How
- 12:46Speaker 1: many colors are there on a Rubik's cube? That was six?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Which animal is the largest species of the cat family?
- 12:51Speaker 1: That was tiger? How often do we experience a leap heer?
- 12:54Speaker 1: That's every four years. I didn't know this, but if
- 12:56Speaker 1: it's divisible by four, it's a leap yer. I didn't
- 12:59Speaker 1: know that. Did you know that? Divisible? Yeah? The year
- 13:01Speaker 1: is divisible by four dividible? Is that what that means?
- 13:04Speaker 1: The same thing? Yeah? Yeah. Catnus Everdeen was played by
- 13:07Speaker 1: Jennifer Lawrence and Hunger Games Graphic Interchange Format GIF? Is
- 13:10Speaker 1: it GIF or JIFF? I always said Giff, Jeff sounds weird.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Jeff is the peanut? Butter agreed? Can you edit out that?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I didn't know the World War II one?
- 13:22Speaker 1: We don't edit this, which famous magician died from a
- 13:26Speaker 1: punch in the stomach. That was Harry Houdini. And the
- 13:30Speaker 1: answer is maybe no. I did I know what a
- 13:33Speaker 1: slam dunk is? Yeah? No, For God's sake, it's ridiculous.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Now we have questions for each other. Let's do those
- 13:39Speaker 2: Who's going first this week? You can go first. I'm honored.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I'm honored.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Question number one.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So if I need your help, Mark, I can ask
- 13:48Speaker 1: you to chime in. Okay, okay, So I have four questions.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Becker can go to you one time for a lifeline, yes,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and then when he asks me my questions, I can
- 13:57Speaker 2: go to you one time.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Okay, got it?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all right, all right, okay, yes, yes, all right,
- 14:06Speaker 2: let's go.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Okay. Where as your generation says, let's go, I hate that,
- 14:11Speaker 1: you know, I really do hate that. Let's go, let's
- 14:14Speaker 1: go where I hate that? Okay.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Question one, Guess the year. I feel like you're going
- 14:20Speaker 2: to get this question correct. Guess the year. What year
- 14:23Speaker 2: was the original Jurassic Park movie released? Oh?
- 14:29Speaker 1: My guess is nineteen ninety two.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Three.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I have to give it to you.
- 14:41Speaker 2: The reason why you got that correct is because my
- 14:43Speaker 2: face gave it away what you started saying two? I
- 14:45Speaker 2: should have just let you say two because you would
- 14:47Speaker 2: have fallen on your face.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about. That's three. Do
- 14:50Speaker 1: you remember when Jurassic Park came out? Ye, salt in
- 14:52Speaker 1: theaters in nineteen ninety three. How old were you in
- 14:55Speaker 1: nineteen ninety three? Nine? Oh, so that was like a
- 14:58Speaker 1: big deal when that came out. Oh I was a
- 15:00Speaker 1: mega mega release. Yeah. Do you remember where you saw it?
- 15:03Speaker 1: Mark Boyd Theater? I believe where you saw it at
- 15:05Speaker 1: the Roxy in Northampton? Wow? Good?
- 15:07Speaker 3: Those were both cut options. The Roxy still is.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And how much do you think you paid for that
- 15:11Speaker 2: movie ticket in nineteen ninety three?
- 15:13Speaker 4: Like?
- 15:13Speaker 1: What seven dollars?
- 15:14Speaker 2: Probably dollars seventy five, Probably a dollar seventy.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Five, Maybe it was two fifty what? Yeah, movies were
- 15:21Speaker 1: pretty inexpensive in the early nineties. Wow, also made a
- 15:24Speaker 1: lot less money, you know, and all balances out in
- 15:26Speaker 1: the end. Have you ever seen that movie Jurassic Park?
- 15:28Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah? Have you seen any other ones?
- 15:31Speaker 2: They should have stopped after the first one, right, yeah, Well, no,
- 15:34Speaker 2: they're not like some of them. The last one they earlier.
- 15:36Speaker 1: How many is there.
- 15:38Speaker 3: There have been four of these new ones, right, so
- 15:40Speaker 3: that I think seven total.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Seven. It's just like Jaws, that's his favorite movie. I
- 15:46Speaker 1: think Jaws. It's up there.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I like the original one, Jaws two is okay, and
- 15:50Speaker 2: then after that it's like, all right, come on here.
- 15:52Speaker 3: It's interesting that they continue following that same family, different
- 15:56Speaker 3: members of the Brody family, and they always live near
- 16:00Speaker 3: the water.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Always, right.
- 16:02Speaker 2: You think it after all that drama that they would move,
- 16:05Speaker 2: and they would move. You know, it's like, man, wouldn't
- 16:07Speaker 2: it be nice to move to Gee? I don't know Idaho? Yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 2: I don't think there's water in Idaho? Right about a farm?
- 16:13Speaker 1: You know's Idaho? Ridiculous.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I've said this for years. This is how I feel
- 16:17Speaker 2: about the movie Home Alone two, because I love the
- 16:21Speaker 2: original Home Alone, like the first one with Macaulay Culkin,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and then the.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Second one lost in New York. People love this movie.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I think it's stupid as shit. I love the second one.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I think it's hilarious. Boston, New York. Yeah, it's very
- 16:34Speaker 1: similar to the first. Yeah, we re expecting like a different format.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Honestly, I like Home Alone three or four better than
- 16:41Speaker 2: the second one.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Nobody's even watched those Yes, yes, what you know why?
- 16:45Speaker 2: I like it better because it's not the McAllister family,
- 16:47Speaker 2: So it's easier to believe, like, what are the odds
- 16:50Speaker 2: that they leave their kid at home one year and
- 16:52Speaker 2: go to Paris and then the next year they go
- 16:54Speaker 2: to New York and then man, they lose them in
- 16:56Speaker 2: New York too.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's like, boy, what are these people do it? Somebody
- 17:00Speaker 1: take all of their kids away. I'll die standing on
- 17:03Speaker 1: that hill. That Home Alone three is better than Home
- 17:06Speaker 1: Alone two. That movie is atrocious. Oh it's better.
- 17:10Speaker 2: At least it's a really really it's a different family.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I guess Question two, Okay, let's do some acronyms here.
- 17:18Speaker 2: What does the acronym PDF as in a PDF document?
- 17:22Speaker 2: What does a PDF stand for?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Photo design format? I have no idea.
- 17:29Speaker 2: All right, so you got one word out of the
- 17:32Speaker 2: three of them, correct? Which one format are you going
- 17:35Speaker 2: to your lifeline?
- 17:37Speaker 1: I thought it was like public display, fection, faction.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I have no idea. It's a portable document format. A
- 17:52Speaker 2: portable document format.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It's a good one. Interesting, So you like sending PDF.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite formats to receive a document.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Ah, yeah, can't go wrong with the PDF, right, we
- 18:07Speaker 2: all love PDFs.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You know what I pretend to be good at every day?
- 18:11Speaker 1: What Excel? Yeah, that's my new thing. I don't know
- 18:14Speaker 1: how I excel. Excel is confusing. I don't know how
- 18:18Speaker 1: to use it. Do you know do you know any
- 18:20Speaker 1: of like the key commands or anything?
- 18:22Speaker 4: No?
- 18:22Speaker 2: No, no, I have not had to use Excel since
- 18:26Speaker 2: two thousand and three. You know the thing that bothers
- 18:29Speaker 2: me about Excel. It should be easy, but you should
- 18:32Speaker 2: be able to type in like two plus three equals
- 18:37Speaker 2: and it should just spit out the answer for you.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And instead it throws some like weird looking like format.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Like there's a calculator will do that?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you know what I mean, and I
- 18:48Speaker 1: know that I know what two plus three is five? Right, Yeah.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I don't think you need the Internet for that. Okay.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Question three? Okay, anyway, high school chemistry? Fucking goofy.
- 19:02Speaker 2: What's the chemical symbol for potassium?
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna say mark for the last one. I'm gonna
- 19:07Speaker 1: take a stab at this one and say it's p
- 19:11Speaker 1: P potassium. No, it's wrong already, It's not P. Fuck ship,
- 19:17Speaker 1: We're not supposed to curse. All right, guy, what is it?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Fuck shit or fuck mark?
- 19:21Speaker 3: I guess for chemistry questions. I'm not a lifeline.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Just for fun.
- 19:27Speaker 3: You want to take a stab at it, well, my
- 19:29Speaker 3: all my guesses would have also begun with P.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's no, it's not something that you would think.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Seven three? No? Is he wrong? Is it seven to three?
- 19:45Speaker 1: What did you say? What? Who are you? What's the answer?
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's busy taking another fucking selfie for whatever reason. The
- 19:54Speaker 1: answer is k K. I know that it's up a bitch.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah you know what.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You knew that because I told you that one last
- 20:02Speaker 2: time when we talked about chemistry and the podcast.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Damn it. Yeah, So it was a double way of me.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I wanted to see if you knew the chemistry question,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and then I wanted to see if you're paying attention
- 20:10Speaker 2: to the last time.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Noah. Sometimes I'll listen to the podcast and like, kind
- 20:16Speaker 1: of room it after we're done, Yeah, and I'll be like,
- 20:19Speaker 1: I remember talking about that. I know, I know, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: feel the same way. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 2: That's just like years of being on the radio two,
- 20:25Speaker 2: I get people that are always like, hey, man, remember
- 20:27Speaker 2: the one time when you said.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And I'm like to be honest with you, No, not really,
- 20:33Speaker 2: like I really I don't remember that.
- 20:36Speaker 1: No, it's time for question for.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Question for twenty what okay?
- 20:45Speaker 2: The category of slogans. The power of Dreams is the
- 20:50Speaker 2: slogan for what automotive brand?
- 20:54Speaker 1: The power of dreams? The power of dreams. I'm only
- 21:04Speaker 1: guessing this because I don't know their slogan, so they've
- 21:08Speaker 1: used it since the early two thousands. I was gonna
- 21:13Speaker 1: guess Tesla. But what is it again? The power of dreams.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I haven't used Mark as my real lifeline yet, Mark
- 21:23Speaker 1: for a Clark.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah, question the power of dreams?
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yeah, any input.
- 21:30Speaker 3: You're not using me for a lifeline. That's the last
- 21:32Speaker 3: question question.
- 21:33Speaker 1: So he kind of has to.
- 21:36Speaker 3: My microphone with my headphone. Sorry for all those clanking
- 21:42Speaker 3: sent The power of dreams?
- 21:47Speaker 1: Are we giving up here? Since the early two thousands?
- 21:50Speaker 1: We give it up here?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Power of dreams, The power of dream American? I don't
- 21:56Speaker 2: think so right now, Power of dream Dodge. No, No,
- 22:02Speaker 2: I have no fucking idea. All right, we don't got
- 22:04Speaker 2: all day?
- 22:05Speaker 4: You got it wrong?
- 22:05Speaker 1: What is it?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Okay, Mark, I think you drive one of these. The
- 22:09Speaker 2: correct answer is Honda the power of dream.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Did not know that.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Heated about whether or not it was an American car.
- 22:18Speaker 1: If that's not American? No, No, where's it? Mate? China?
- 22:23Speaker 1: You should stop talking about this.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Huh.
- 22:26Speaker 5: If you're lost, they probably are too blazed and confused.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Podcast question number one.
- 22:35Speaker 1: All right, which US state has the largest coastline? Oh? Uh,
- 22:42Speaker 1: think about this one? Texas? No ship, that's wrong. No,
- 22:49Speaker 1: it's so incredibly wrong, way gonna be. I'm not a
- 22:54Speaker 1: geography guy. He's always not.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 22:58Speaker 2: wait wait wait text, it's the longest coastline.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I already told you it was in Texas. You can't
- 23:04Speaker 1: guess that. California. No, the longest coastline Florida. No, uh
- 23:14Speaker 1: give up?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Oh Alaska, you got it out seventeenth try Alaska. I
- 23:21Speaker 2: got wrong, you know, but we should really establish rules
- 23:25Speaker 2: of I think that once you get past guests like one, Yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 2: well you're wrong, once you get past guess one. The
- 23:33Speaker 2: longest coastline Alaska?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Not in Alaska? It is Alaska?
- 23:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I know. Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, So there's like beaches on Alaska.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Beaches but there's water, you know? Yeah? But is there
- 23:47Speaker 1: any practically surrounded by it?
- 23:48Speaker 5: So?
- 23:49Speaker 1: But but Mark, and maybe you'd know this as like.
- 23:51Speaker 2: A tropical guy or a tropical guy, a travel guy.
- 23:55Speaker 1: My question is, for as long as I've known Mark,
- 23:57Speaker 1: he's always been a tropical, tropical guy, traffic guy.
- 24:00Speaker 2: My question is, though, is there anything ever tropical in Alaaska?
- 24:08Speaker 1: I don't think you'd describe it as tropic? No ever?
- 24:11Speaker 1: I mean warm and sunny.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Ever, they have warm er seasons, but it's not tropical.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Are we done with tropical? Mark? Did he help you? Tropical? Mark?
- 24:25Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 24:26Speaker 4: One question too?
- 24:31Speaker 1: I have an acronym question for you too. This might
- 24:33Speaker 1: be easy, but I think you're gonna get it wrong.
- 24:37Speaker 1: What does the acronym n A s A stand for?
- 24:41Speaker 1: Is in NASA? What does NASA stand for? Is it
- 24:47Speaker 1: like the space people? Yeah? No, No, he's not very
- 24:50Speaker 1: interested in space, which really bothers me. Are you interested
- 24:53Speaker 1: in space?
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 24:54Speaker 3: But I don't like to think too long about it
- 24:57Speaker 3: breaks you out right a little bit? Yeah, I could
- 24:59Speaker 3: care les see, I like it in short bursts, A.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Bunch of little dots. Up in the sky, who gives
- 25:05Speaker 1: a ship? God who cares? Most people should anyway? What
- 25:09Speaker 1: does the acronym NASA? Is a NASA stand for? Yeah?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Okay, so here's here's here's where my brain's at. Now,
- 25:17Speaker 2: nationals in there somewhere.
- 25:19Speaker 3: If it's anywhere, it's at the beginning, it's in the
- 25:22Speaker 3: and it's.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Anywhere I think it'd be in the end. Word right,
- 25:24Speaker 2: So national, Uh isn't one of them? Like it's a
- 25:29Speaker 2: real long a word like are erergonomics, ergon ergonomics, National
- 25:36Speaker 2: era AICs?
- 25:39Speaker 1: What's the rest of it? Well, what's that word ergonomics? Ergonomics?
- 25:44Speaker 1: This is your guess, National Ergonomics and A S and Space? Yep,
- 25:51Speaker 1: that one's good. Uh association. No, No, it's not ergonomics.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I don't know what that is.
- 26:01Speaker 2: It's the National Aeronautics Aerospace Administration.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I thought you would get the rest of it, right.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I just thought I thought aeronautics would be the tough
- 26:13Speaker 1: one for you, And it was, what is it? Ergonomics?
- 26:18Speaker 1: That's what you guessed. You made that thing up on
- 26:20Speaker 1: your own National Aeronautics and Space Administration. What's aeronautics air
- 26:29Speaker 1: and being in it? Yeah, and being nautic in it.
- 26:33Speaker 1: What's being not an aeronautics like nautic?
- 26:36Speaker 3: Like nautical you're in the water, going through the water,
- 26:39Speaker 3: and he aeronautic you're up in the air.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but what's nast to do it in the wall?
- 26:45Speaker 1: They're not. We're just fucking with you. Let's go to
- 26:47Speaker 1: the next one. Question three, Question three? What was the
- 26:54Speaker 1: first feature length animated film ever released? Ah? Ah, Remember
- 27:03Speaker 1: you have a lifeline and Mark is a movie guy.
- 27:09Speaker 1: He doesn't look very much.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Clarification questions here is it a cartoon like animated?
- 27:17Speaker 1: That's in the fucking question?
- 27:19Speaker 4: Huh?
- 27:19Speaker 1: What was the first feature of length animated? Fell? Poops?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Sorry I wasn't paying attention. I want to say, like Cinderella. No,
- 27:32Speaker 2: I feel like that's wrong, that's wrong. Okay, Well I
- 27:35Speaker 2: wasn't guessing that. I was just saying I want to say, oh,
- 27:38Speaker 2: I did all right in the thirties.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yes, snow white, snow white and the seventh is what
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Yeah, nineteen thirty seven, that's what the
- 27:50Speaker 1: first in color and sound?
- 27:53Speaker 4: Ho hi, ho.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Work we go? Is that the words? That's yeah, dun dud,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you're a hole. You're a hole. You're a big fat ho.
- 28:06Speaker 1: You're a ho ho ho ho ho ho. It's always
- 28:09Speaker 1: really easy to tell who the younger person is on
- 28:11Speaker 1: the show.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Question four twenty, what.
- 28:17Speaker 1: How many sides does a hexagon have? Ah, I'm not
- 28:22Speaker 1: good with my with my gons. My shapes are these
- 28:25Speaker 1: shapes like a hexagon and octagon. That's just a shape, right,
- 28:29Speaker 1: it's the name of the shape. If it's not a shape,
- 28:31Speaker 1: what would it be?
- 28:32Speaker 4: Right?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not good with my gons. Man, that sounds
- 28:40Speaker 1: like something mind set. What's after octagon?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Eight?
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yeah? So that can't be the answer. Okay, you want
- 28:46Speaker 1: to know about hexagons. I think a hexagon it's not five,
- 28:54Speaker 1: and it's not seven, but I think it might be six.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Is it six? Hexagon? Six is the answer?
- 29:02Speaker 4: It is.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Six? Yep? Six? What is how? I used to remember
- 29:09Speaker 1: that as a kid. I remember six? I mean you
- 29:11Speaker 1: just said that, what is seven?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Heptagon h E P T A G O N A heptagon,
- 29:18Speaker 3: So hexagon and then heptagon, heptagon and.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Then octagon and then ann What's which one? Which shape
- 29:27Speaker 1: has nine sides? A nanagon pretty.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Close, pretty close, tens a decagon? Yeah, that one I
- 29:35Speaker 2: remember eleven agon. Yeah, I'm not gonna.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I think that points right now.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Trivia you didn't know you needed, or maybe you still don't.
- 29:46Speaker 5: It's still Blazed and Confused podcast.
- 29:49Speaker 1: You know. I love going on vacation and like finding
- 29:51Speaker 1: somebody that has some herbage and like just relaxing on
- 29:53Speaker 1: the beach.
- 29:54Speaker 2: It's like the best thing in the world, finding somebody
- 29:56Speaker 2: that has urbage. It's usually a guy that comes up
- 29:59Speaker 2: on a kai act of sorts or something like that.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Where is this vacation you're going, Oh, I don't know.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Just a lot of islands, you know these people? Yeah, see,
- 30:06Speaker 2: that would creep me out. I don't know if I
- 30:08Speaker 2: do that. I watched too much True crime. I can't
- 30:10Speaker 2: believe you watched that at all.
- 30:11Speaker 1: What true crime?
- 30:12Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 30:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, dude, I love true crime. Listen to this,
- 30:15Speaker 1: You've got to watch. I can't get a grasp on
- 30:17Speaker 1: what this kid likes as far as content, like I
- 30:19Speaker 1: like movies I have. I just can't get I like crime.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I've always liked true crimes, Brady Bunch. What else true crime? Stuff?
- 30:25Speaker 5: Now?
- 30:26Speaker 2: Documentaries, music, game shows, game shows, a lot of documentaries.
- 30:30Speaker 1: If it's longer than an hour. He probably hasn't seen it.
- 30:33Speaker 1: It's just pretty crazy. Hour and a half. Yeah, so
- 30:36Speaker 1: a lot. We saw that Dylan movie. How long was that? Yeah?
- 30:39Speaker 1: I think I passed out. But uh, Mark works in travel,
- 30:44Speaker 1: I do a lot of stuff. And actually, as he
- 30:46Speaker 1: had said, tropical.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to go specialist good, but yeah, I
- 30:53Speaker 2: want to go somewhere war with tropical. All right, So
- 30:55Speaker 2: here's here's the thing I wanted to talk about this.
- 30:56Speaker 2: So I want to go on a cruise really bad.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Have you been on a crew Well, technically yes, my
- 31:03Speaker 3: parents took me on an Alaskan cruise when I was
- 31:06Speaker 3: two or three years old.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Okay, so, but Alaska's not tropical. We discovered that Alaska's not.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I went on.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I've been on a couple of river cruises before. But
- 31:17Speaker 3: as far as actual cruises, we definitely sell them. But
- 31:21Speaker 3: I personally don't really like to be out on the
- 31:23Speaker 3: water for that length of time. Just personal preference. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 3: almost a fear, I guess.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 3: So that's why I can't tell you much from personal experience.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I just want to experience it one time.
- 31:35Speaker 2: There's so much to do, man, there's so many restaurants
- 31:39Speaker 2: and there's but think about.
- 31:40Speaker 1: How many carsple are on that ship, you know, like,
- 31:43Speaker 1: versus how much you actually be able to do well.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Some people do love cruises. What do you like about that? Over?
- 31:50Speaker 3: Just like an all inclusive resort in some tropical location.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I'm having all of that and a beach that you
- 31:56Speaker 1: can go to anytime.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I like the idea of and a lot of people
- 31:59Speaker 2: don't when they're on vacation. But I like the idea
- 32:02Speaker 2: of the ship people telling you when stuff is going
- 32:05Speaker 2: to happen. You get off the ship, you do some stuff,
- 32:08Speaker 2: you come back, dinner is now you learn it?
- 32:11Speaker 4: That? Yeah, kind of.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I like the idea that. I don't know if I
- 32:14Speaker 2: like that, but I think I like that. That's why
- 32:16Speaker 2: I want to go try it and experience it for
- 32:17Speaker 2: the first time.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I don't know, I just don't feel like I would
- 32:19Speaker 1: be I want to be on a schedule like that.
- 32:21Speaker 1: When I'm on Vakasha, I just want to relax for
- 32:23Speaker 1: the most part. I'll kind of go about the day
- 32:26Speaker 1: of what happens happens.
- 32:27Speaker 2: You know. Well, don't you like the idea too of
- 32:29Speaker 2: you're in one place one day and then you're in
- 32:31Speaker 2: another place another day. I want to go on a cruise.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I can't find anybody that wants to cruise with me.
- 32:36Speaker 2: It's a cheap way to travel. You can see a
- 32:38Speaker 2: lot for not a lot of money. And again I
- 32:40Speaker 2: think that there's a lot to do on a cruise ship.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I've watched all these documentaries. I watched the documentary on
- 32:45Speaker 2: Netflix about the poop Cruise. However, dude, I tell you
- 32:48Speaker 2: the thing that I watched recently on Netflix, also involving
- 32:52Speaker 2: a cruise was so good and you need to go
- 32:55Speaker 2: home right now and watching. If you're listening to watch
- 32:57Speaker 2: it you haven't already. It's called Where is Amy Bradley
- 33:00Speaker 2: or Amy Bradley Is Missing? I think that's what it's called.
- 33:03Speaker 2: It's about this woman in nineteen ninety eight, in like
- 33:06Speaker 2: March of nineteen ninety eight, and that disappears on a
- 33:09Speaker 2: cruise ship at three point thirty.
- 33:11Speaker 1: In the morning. Her and her brother are like partying on.
- 33:13Speaker 2: This cruise ship and they get back to their room
- 33:18Speaker 2: and they're sitting out on the balcony and he goes
- 33:20Speaker 2: into bed, and it's three thirty in the morning. Again,
- 33:22Speaker 2: she's sitting out on the balcony, she's smoking her cigarettes.
- 33:25Speaker 2: He goes into bed and that's the last time they
- 33:26Speaker 2: see her, and she just mysteriously disappears off this cruise ship.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Geez, yeah, you want to watch that and then go
- 33:33Speaker 1: on the cruise.
- 33:34Speaker 2: No, No, I'm not saying this. I'm not saying that
- 33:36Speaker 2: this is I know, weird connection. I'm not saying this
- 33:38Speaker 2: is motivating me to go on a cruise. I'm saying
- 33:41Speaker 2: that through it all, there's all these reasons to not
- 33:44Speaker 2: go on a cruise, and I'm like, screw you people,
- 33:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna go on a cruise.
- 33:48Speaker 3: You're right, there are plenty of reasons to go on
- 33:50Speaker 3: a cruise. A lot of people love it. We got
- 33:52Speaker 3: a lot of a lot of cruiser requests. Definitely if
- 33:56Speaker 3: you like to get out in the water. And Becker
- 33:58Speaker 3: and I have friends who have a list going of
- 34:01Speaker 3: every island they've been to, and a lot of times
- 34:03Speaker 3: that's you know, they can rack up a few on
- 34:06Speaker 3: one cruise and they just enjoy doing that.
- 34:08Speaker 2: The one thing that I am concerned about, though, I
- 34:10Speaker 2: remember when I was I don't know, probably thirteen twelve thirteen,
- 34:14Speaker 2: my aunt and uncle uh took me and my cousin's
- 34:18Speaker 2: on this deep sea fishing expedition which was awful gets sick.
- 34:24Speaker 2: The reason why it was awful, yeah, is because I
- 34:26Speaker 2: got real nauseous the whole time. And I'm hoping that
- 34:30Speaker 2: if I go on a cruise, like because the ship
- 34:33Speaker 2: is so big, like, you don't feel it rocking back
- 34:36Speaker 2: and forth?
- 34:36Speaker 4: Do you?
- 34:37Speaker 1: I don't think you do. I think you do, and
- 34:38Speaker 1: you get used to it. That makes me a little nervous.
- 34:41Speaker 3: I'm sure that you're sweet or your room would come
- 34:45Speaker 3: with like a barf bag, like on an airplane.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Oh that's wonderful. I'm glad. I know that. Thank God,
- 34:51Speaker 1: that really sold me. You gonna go a cruise? Oh well, well,
- 34:54Speaker 1: my god, I have a barf bag now, of course
- 34:56Speaker 1: I have to a you'll be alone. So here's here's
- 34:59Speaker 1: about when you travel, Like are you gonna want to
- 35:01Speaker 1: bring a pen with you or have something to smoke? Okay,
- 35:04Speaker 1: So this is.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Interesting because we're going to talk about this and it
- 35:07Speaker 2: may or may not be incriminating, but whatever. The statute
- 35:10Speaker 2: of limitations is long over now, right, so as of recently,
- 35:13Speaker 2: like I went to California, and I know that recreational
- 35:16Speaker 2: marijuana is legal in Los Angeles, is legal in California,
- 35:19Speaker 2: and there's dispensaries on every street corner. It's like it's
- 35:22Speaker 2: like coffee shop, dispensary, record store. Coffee shop, dispensary, record store.
- 35:27Speaker 2: It's perfect. And that's where I got. Los Angeles has
- 35:29Speaker 2: made for me. It's great. But anyway, I still like
- 35:33Speaker 2: felt the urge and I don't know why, but I
- 35:35Speaker 2: still felt the urge to like make sure that I
- 35:38Speaker 2: had a disposable with me just in case. Yeah, and
- 35:43Speaker 2: I did end up taking some medables, but I don't know.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I feel like you do kind of have to be
- 35:48Speaker 2: a little worried, not worried, but concerned smart with how
- 35:53Speaker 2: you travel with your marijuana.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Still right, well, it is not legal to cross state
- 35:59Speaker 1: lines with it, even on a cruise. I think marijuana
- 36:01Speaker 1: on a cruise is like a big no no, isn't
- 36:03Speaker 1: it correct?
- 36:04Speaker 3: You definitely aren't supposed to travel with it?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Now?
- 36:07Speaker 1: Will they?
- 36:08Speaker 3: Will they say something? Just my opinion, I don't think
- 36:12Speaker 3: that's generally what they're looking for. However, if you got
- 36:16Speaker 3: randomly pulled aside so they search through all your things,
- 36:19Speaker 3: that's happened to me before they do it. Sometimes do
- 36:21Speaker 3: you want them to see that? So if you're going
- 36:25Speaker 3: to a place where, like you said, you can get
- 36:28Speaker 3: it no problem. Potentially it would be an unnecessary risk.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah, however, California you can get it no problem. You
- 36:35Speaker 2: going to some island, you can get it, no problem.
- 36:39Speaker 2: But you gotta trust some random dude on the street.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I'm not doing that.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there are some places that have decriminalized it,
- 36:47Speaker 3: you know, like in Jamaica.
- 36:49Speaker 1: It's I guess more or less what it is.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Like in Philadelphia, you're allowed to have a certain amount
- 36:54Speaker 3: and it's usually pretty generous. But I mean, and they
- 36:59Speaker 3: have medical the Rastafarians, if you are a Rastafarian. But
- 37:03Speaker 3: I don't think that that applies to Taurus. Maybe it does,
- 37:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I think that even if you have your med card
- 37:10Speaker 2: like in the United States and you go to travel,
- 37:12Speaker 2: you can't travel with marijuana, right, you.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Know a how to travel with it regard traveling period
- 37:17Speaker 1: at all. Yeah, like you shouldn't have any of that
- 37:19Speaker 1: on you ever. Yeah. I also think that at the
- 37:22Speaker 1: end of the day, TSA is really just looking for
- 37:24Speaker 1: like yeah, like he says, Yeah, the dogs are looking
- 37:27Speaker 1: for the bad stuff.
- 37:28Speaker 3: It's very impressive to me that they can smell bombs.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Yeah, the dogs. Yeah, dogs are crazy, right, Lucy.
- 37:35Speaker 4: You hear this.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You hear what these dogs are doing, Lucy. They're changing
- 37:38Speaker 1: the world. And what are you doing? You're barking at
- 37:39Speaker 1: everybody up. Maybe she's a drug sniffing dog. Maybe that's
- 37:42Speaker 1: why she freaks out when people come over, because she
- 37:44Speaker 1: doesn't like the weed.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not good enough. That's the real reason why
- 37:49Speaker 2: my dog doesn't like you. Are we going to spark
- 37:51Speaker 2: a debate here quick? Before we get out of here?
- 37:52Speaker 1: Do you have something to talk about?
- 37:54Speaker 4: Oh?
- 37:54Speaker 1: I have something to talk about? Do it all right,
- 37:55Speaker 1: let's talk about it.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Welcome to spark a debate where Becker and Joel turn
- 38:01Speaker 5: one topic. You're doing all out, puff puff, pass off
- 38:05Speaker 5: and see who burns out first.
- 38:07Speaker 1: All right, Oh god, a weird look you gave me.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I want to I want to debate Becker's idea of
- 38:15Speaker 2: vacation time and how he takes his vacation time. Oh
- 38:19Speaker 2: so it's kind of tied into what we were just
- 38:20Speaker 2: talking about, because yes, it's exactly perfect vacation time.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're not going anywhere. That's the difference anyway.
- 38:25Speaker 1: If I'm doing like a staycation. Yeah, like, I'm just
- 38:28Speaker 1: if I'm just taking days off.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, let's debate this because I
- 38:32Speaker 2: think that what you do is genius.
- 38:34Speaker 1: However, I think it's annoying. It's an art, it's an
- 38:38Speaker 1: annoying It's this annoying strategic way of utilizing your time
- 38:41Speaker 1: off that I've earned by it. But it's annoying, all right.
- 38:44Speaker 1: So this is what this is what this, This is
- 38:46Speaker 1: what this dude does. I notice. I really want to
- 38:49Speaker 1: curse right now, and I can't. But this is what
- 38:51Speaker 1: he does.
- 38:52Speaker 2: So in the summertime, instead of taking off for you know,
- 38:56Speaker 2: like a week at a time here and there, like
- 38:58Speaker 2: most normal people do, mister Becker over here takes off
- 39:02Speaker 2: every Monday of every Monday of the week for four
- 39:08Speaker 2: months in a row. It fucking seems like today's Monday.
- 39:11Speaker 2: We're recording this podcast. Did you work today?
- 39:14Speaker 5: No?
- 39:14Speaker 2: No, you didn't because it's Monday. So you always work
- 39:18Speaker 2: a four day work week, not all the time. I
- 39:20Speaker 2: start taking time off in July. I don't take any
- 39:23Speaker 2: time off in the beginning part of the year. So
- 39:25Speaker 2: there's like six months where I don't take off at all.
- 39:28Speaker 2: That's valueboy.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Friday in December. Yeah, and I take three day weekends
- 39:34Speaker 1: pretty much in December and October, especially because I like
- 39:37Speaker 1: the haunted spooky season, like to watch Hart movies and stuff. Yeah,
- 39:42Speaker 1: it's a good way to take vacation time. It's smart.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Make you get three days off. Listen to me.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's more smart. I'm just saying I've
- 39:49Speaker 2: been on the receiving end of this.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It's like, oh, joy to work past ten thirty. Now,
- 39:55Speaker 1: you were there pretty often now, yeah, you know anybody
- 39:58Speaker 1: when I worked with you, you were always I was
- 40:00Speaker 1: always hustling. However, it'd be like, oh, where's record? Oh
- 40:05Speaker 1: oh well it's Monday. Hey, I worked there for twenty years.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I have a lot of vacation time.
- 40:12Speaker 2: I know. Well why can't And don't you think it's
- 40:14Speaker 2: been more beneficial for me to take one day off
- 40:16Speaker 2: here and there rather than a full week.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Would you rather cover all my work for a full week?
- 40:20Speaker 1: It makes sense. I do it for other people because
- 40:23Speaker 1: it was mostly for my own sanity. You guys would
- 40:26Speaker 1: funck shit up all the time. I come back and
- 40:27Speaker 1: be like, what did you guys even do while I
- 40:29Speaker 1: was gone? Do it for other people? Let me get
- 40:31Speaker 1: you my let me get my violin.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Anyway, we were gonna say, Mark, I'd rather listen to that.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Do you ever take off in the middle of the week. No,
- 40:40Speaker 2: I think that's kind of fun sometimes, just like a
- 40:42Speaker 2: random Wednesday. I wanted just for a few nights to
- 40:45Speaker 2: Camcoon earlier in the year, just by myself. Yeah, just
- 40:48Speaker 2: in the middle of the week for the heck of it.
- 40:50Speaker 1: You know, it's kind of like a tease for me,
- 40:52Speaker 1: like I'm gonna be like, oh, I have one random
- 40:54Speaker 1: day off then have to go back to work the
- 40:55Speaker 1: next day. Already, it just seems kind of not my speed.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I'd just rather have a long weekend. So it is
- 41:00Speaker 1: pretty good though. It's a good way to take your
- 41:03Speaker 1: time off, wouldn't you agree?
- 41:04Speaker 2: Again, I'm not that that's not the coworker as a coworker, though,
- 41:09Speaker 2: if anybody else did that that you work with, wouldn't
- 41:12Speaker 2: that piss you off?
- 41:14Speaker 1: As an employee?
- 41:15Speaker 4: How?
- 41:16Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 41:16Speaker 2: How you No?
- 41:18Speaker 1: I know, I know it's my time though. I know.
- 41:21Speaker 3: I know, like I'm right now at a newer job
- 41:24Speaker 3: and I'm doing that, you know, and they're okay with
- 41:26Speaker 3: that right out the gate. You're doing that and they're
- 41:29Speaker 3: all right with that.
- 41:31Speaker 4: I do.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Listen when I'm out you are, And just like I
- 41:41Speaker 2: did when I worked with you, Joel, I would work
- 41:43Speaker 2: my butt off to make it as as easy as possible.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I would work way ahead. I would work late nights
- 41:49Speaker 1: to do that for you guys. So it's just a
- 41:51Speaker 1: busy job. Now I'm able to work ahead. Like today,
- 41:54Speaker 1: I left very little things for people to do, and
- 41:57Speaker 1: hopefully if they had anything to do, it was like
- 41:59Speaker 1: something that came down today. It wasn't something that I
- 42:01Speaker 1: left there.
- 42:02Speaker 5: You know.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I like Fridays and Mondays.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You know, I have some friends at work for these
- 42:07Speaker 2: big corporations in New York City and they have UPTO.
- 42:12Speaker 2: You know what, this is unlimited unlimited paid time off.
- 42:16Speaker 2: But the interesting thing when you talk to people that
- 42:18Speaker 2: have that, it's so funny. All the old people that
- 42:20Speaker 2: are listening to this podcast right now are.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Like, limited paid time off?
- 42:24Speaker 2: What is that? And it's like, well, it's when you
- 42:26Speaker 2: have an unlimited amount of days that you can take
- 42:29Speaker 2: off and you still get paid. Yeah, shocking concept.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I like that. You think older people are listening to
- 42:34Speaker 1: this like they've made it this far. Yeah? True, Probably not,
- 42:39Speaker 1: probably not. But no.
- 42:40Speaker 2: The interesting thing is when you talk to people that
- 42:42Speaker 2: actually have unlimited paid time off, it seems that it really,
- 42:46Speaker 2: at the end of the day, to me, sounds like
- 42:49Speaker 2: more or less like a scheme because you either don't
- 42:54Speaker 2: use your days ever or you use it all the time.
- 42:57Speaker 1: So you used it. Either you it or you abuse it.
- 43:01Speaker 1: There's really no like fine line.
- 43:03Speaker 2: But also though, I think that there's going to be
- 43:06Speaker 2: no such thing as like a nine to five job
- 43:08Speaker 2: very very very soon. I think that the way that
- 43:10Speaker 2: the economy and the way that the you know, tech
- 43:14Speaker 2: is like progressing. Don't you think that the world is
- 43:16Speaker 2: turning more into a like gig esque world, Like people
- 43:21Speaker 2: have gigs now, it's not I guess people aren't the
- 43:24Speaker 2: career driven. It's gig driven now. It's you have your
- 43:28Speaker 2: work that money.
- 43:30Speaker 4: You know.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I don't think that's the future. You don't think that's
- 43:33Speaker 1: the future. I have no idea. I think everyone's gonna
- 43:38Speaker 1: not have a job. Machine look over in like another
- 43:42Speaker 1: two years and then we'll that's why. Then you're gonna
- 43:44Speaker 1: do no, And then you're gonna have to have a gig.
- 43:46Speaker 1: You're gonna have to have something. And then the computers
- 43:48Speaker 1: will take your gigs. Probably.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I did hear something the other day from the I
- 43:53Speaker 2: think his name is Sam Altman. He's like the CEO
- 43:55Speaker 2: of Open AI and he said that a kid born
- 43:59Speaker 2: today will never live in a world where a computer
- 44:02Speaker 2: is not smarter than a human, which is crazy to
- 44:05Speaker 2: think about. I'm glad I'm not that kid. Same then
- 44:08Speaker 2: I also, there's all this, like all these questions now
- 44:10Speaker 2: about you know, AI, and people were like, well, well,
- 44:14Speaker 2: like what about politics? Like you got to think about it,
- 44:16Speaker 2: like if we're turning in a society where everybody just
- 44:19Speaker 2: turns to their phone and asks it a simple question
- 44:22Speaker 2: or asks it anything and everything, Like what what if
- 44:24Speaker 2: our politicians hypothetically are going to start turning to their
- 44:27Speaker 2: chat shobt and saying.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Yeah, who's really in charge? Now?
- 44:32Speaker 4: You know?
- 44:34Speaker 3: So I don't have any questions about AI because James
- 44:37Speaker 3: Cameron already answered them all for me.
- 44:40Speaker 2: James Cameron, he's an actor, right, Oh my god? Anyway, Mark,
- 44:46Speaker 2: where's your favorite place you've traveled? I like going to Mexico,
- 44:49Speaker 2: but I went to Antiga last year. I know it
- 44:52Speaker 2: was pretty excellent.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Noquah, it's Antigua and Tiga there's a place in Europe
- 44:58Speaker 3: that is the same spelling and on Antiqua. I was
- 45:01Speaker 3: going to say that one's Antiqua. Interesting Antika.
- 45:05Speaker 2: This is a tropical Mark yes, rebarding live Yes, and
- 45:10Speaker 2: uh you can book your your trip through Mark now.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Gotta mark ar at trip guy dot com. Oh, look
- 45:16Speaker 1: at that trip guy dot com. That's it. I like
- 45:18Speaker 1: that trip guy dot com. Real simple, you know exactly
- 45:21Speaker 1: what it is.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Yeah, my boss is the trip guy. To be clear, Yes, man,
- 45:26Speaker 2: they look at a sponsor a podcast. Ts you want
- 45:29Speaker 2: to send us to Antiqua. Yeah, Adiga there too.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I don't think we're allowed to go. We'll go everywhere.
- 45:34Speaker 1: We'll go there too. Mark, thanks for hanging out with us,
- 45:36Speaker 1: Episode thirteen of the Blaze of Confused podcast on Becker.

- 45:44Speaker 1: Thanks for joining MI. Thank you.
