- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by Jinjag.com and Fuel by Brass Tax Coffee right now.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: We are talking.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: and I felt tight ends.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: The ESPN list rolls on, ranking the top 10 players at each position, giving honorable mention.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: This is basically put together by ESPN Jeremy Fowler, but it is comprised of voting from anonymous scouts, executives, coaches around the league, but these lists up together.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's fascinating to see.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: where Jack Wars land on this list.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So far they have done running backs, corner backs, adressors, defensive tackles, and now, today the Titan list came out and unexpectedly, or excuse me, expectedly.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, no running backs for the Jaguars or on the list.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you just don't have anybody who has been given the opportunity at a large scale to carry a running back room.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: And Jackson, like do you think you have Chris Rodriguez and Bachelorette Newton have both shown to be efficient, high-success rate backs in 2025, but yeah, not surprising that they didn't make the list.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: At corner back again, not surprising.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: A Jaguars didn't make the list although,
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter did receive votes despite only having like 150 160 snaps at corner back in his young career.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that he has the ability to certainly crack the top 10 in 2026, or you know, going into the 2027 season.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Ed Drescher's Josh Heinz Allen was on her will mention, not on the top 10, I think that that list was a little ridiculous, drive on Walker received votes, so both of those guys at least consider in consideration, again Travis Hunter kind of in consideration,
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: edge and corner there at defensive tackle, they didn't have anybody that had any votes, which isn't surprising even though Devon Hamilton is one of the best run defending defensive tackles in the league and Eric Arm said is still a very talented interior pass rush or disruptor type and then tight end, Britain strange, did not make the top 10.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: which shouldn't really be surprising.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is a top 10 tight end in the NFL.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: He also though did not finish an honorable mention, which honorable mention would be 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: So he didn't even finish inside the top 15.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar has just paid this guy, a lot of money.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: 12 million dollars in base up to $16 million per year over a three year contract extension.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he doesn't finish in the top 10.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that is ridiculous.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, Britain's strange is one of the most balanced titans in football.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: He was elite when he was on the field last year for the Jag wars as a, again, somebody who can line up in line, can line up in the backfield, can line up in the slot.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: His winning, one on one route, is getting open, against zone, is coming down with contested catches, as well shows the ability to make plays with the football in his hands, and then he also is an enforcer when it comes to getting on the move and blocking.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: and really helping in the run game, specifically in the run game a lot.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then also in past protection, when asked.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: So let's go ahead and look at the players that are ranked ahead of him.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's really fascinating.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Brock Bowers, that's no surprise there.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's really more of a receiving weapon than a tie-in.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think you can say the same thing about training.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: Bride, both very good receiving weapons.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: George Kittle is a true tight-end and he deserves to be up there in the top five Sam Laporta again more of a receiving weapon than a true tight-end.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: but he does he does block so he's up there at number four Tyler Warren coming in at number five not it's surprising to see what what he where he ranks after the production he had as a rookie had eight hundred seventeen receiving yards last year as a rookie tie-to-end which is very impressive and he has just so much ability and potential Tucker craft coming in at number six
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly think that Tucker Kraft and Britain strange are very similar.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they bring a similar skill set to the field, similar mindset to the field.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Britain strange should be around Tucker Kraft.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Colson Lovelin comes in at number seven.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: He really took off down the stretch last year for the bears.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think this is the range that I think Britain Strange should be in.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Six, seven.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle pits his at eight.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a tight end.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's a receiving threat.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Mark Andrews is at nine.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I would take Britain strange ahead of Mark Andrews right now any day the week same thing with Travis Kelsey at ten.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: These guys are on the list because of their career achievements, not because of who they are right now.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: I feel strongly about that.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that worst Britain strange should be in the top ten.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to make the argument, he should be like nine or ten.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: I would get that.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: outside of the top 10, I think is crazy.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have honorable mention, Dalton Kincaid, who honestly think belongs in the top 10 over Kelsey and Andrew's right now.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think Dalton Kincaid is really good.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Pat Friermuth gets on our album mentioned, and to me, he's like a less explosive, less exciting version of Britain Strange.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Cole Comet, I think you can say the same thing.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's a little bit of a bigger body, but I think that Cole Comet's skill set is that of a lesser version of Britain Strange, Jake Ferguson.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's just a solid tight end, but he's not as good as Britain Strange.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strange brings higher level play at both the receiver position and blocking.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then Harold Fannon Jr is just a receiving threat, receiving kind of mismatch that you can move all over the field.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And so, for all of those guys to be ranked ahead of Britain's strange, I think is absolutely ludicrous.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's a trotis, I can't stand it.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: But, again, it's this fuel for the Jaguar's fire, all Liam Cohen has to do.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond taking a look at the Jaguar's failing the off-season, multiple websites now, bigwebcites.nfl.com, ESPN, maybe not ESPN, but NFL.com, and was it ESPN?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: CBS, I don't remember who it was.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: Puttin' out.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is failing, the offseason getting an F grade.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: You've got that part of it.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: You've got the fact that everybody's picking the Texans to win the south to go to the Super Bowl.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: And now you've got this list of top 10s where Josh Hines Allen, Trayvon Walker, aren't in the top 10.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Britain strange, not in the top 10.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: You can use that same thing for Devon and Eric arms that too because they could easily get up there if they play their best and get the recognition they deserve.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is, this is good, this is playing right into Liam Cohen's hands, you know, talking about last year, respect and income and it's not, they've got to go take it absolutely, they've got to do it for more than a year, absolutely, that's fair.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to do.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that this is exactly the type of thing.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that a lot of these players pretty much all of them on the Jaguars and coaches are.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: internally motivated, right?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think it hurts to get this external motivation either, like to get no respect basically this offseason from an individual standpoint, from a team building standpoint with the, you know, giving the Jaguars an F grade for their offseason, all these things are adding up to, in my opinion, a very fired up Jaguars team that can feel like they're the underdogs once again, however,
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: The opponents that they're going against are not going to think of them that way.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be a team that is not sneaking up on anyone, point blank period.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: They are not sneaking up on anybody after a 13 and 4 season.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: So that's something you have to keep in mind, but just trying to go earn that respect, take that respect from the media world.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's going to be on the Jaguar's mind.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think Liam Cohen will use that as fuel in a very positive way.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: He showed the ability to do that at a high level last year.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to see what these Jackson do.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Excitacy, I think Britain's Strange is absolutely deserving of being on this top 10 list.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: And if I was honestly putting together my list, he wouldn't be outside of the top 7.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: The other guys, I think you can make arguments, but I mean, you've also got like, is this a tight end?
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is this a receiving weapon?
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strange is a true tight end.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I just can't wait to see him play football and shut up the haters this year.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all tuning in.
