- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Anyone who watches, please just subscribe.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: It'll be doing us a massive favour.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: You know, I said I had a joke for you last week, didn't I?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Not the Carl midfield.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Um which player played against his teacher in the World Cup?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Don't know.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: David Batti, 1998, played against Batti's tutor.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's Postman told us in the shop.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I just said I'll tell her.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Isn't it?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Oh rubbish.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Alright, are you all okay?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you have you can yeah.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: It's only got worse.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: You were on one.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: When?
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Saturday night.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Saturday, Sunday.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Just call people out, got out sometimes.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: We'll get to them though.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Reaction to last week.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Board players and TikToks.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Someone's wrote in Lee.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I enjoyed that podcast.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Like, Dylan could get a season ticket with our lot.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: That was that was that was a proper East Stand head loss when he said our centre half's too busy editing TikToks.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: So that this is um so that I think that was Rob Rob Morley, I think, said that in.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: He um he says when he sits in the with he sits in the uh east stand with all these pals, and it's just they just can't believe it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Apparently at the weekend they were shouting when Nicholson went down the tunnel, weren't they?
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna put that on your TikTok?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, from the poddock, yeah.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Are we getting straight into that?
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: Well, I've had another one here.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Sat near the relegation zone in the National League, and we've got a keeper posting photos of himself after flogging five.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Werning Nicholson posting shite after stinking the place out, and Malarkey, who's not even fist fit, posting himself on his Aldi shop, utter clowns.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: That's from Rob.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Surely the keeper never posted a picture after the game.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: That was from Lee Crow that.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: That was from Lee, yeah.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Rob Molly was the other one.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Who is going tomorrow night, by the way, with his young boy, and he said, like, for the price it costs, he just doesn't know how much longer he can do it for.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: And you think don't you when it's a cost and that?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: What was my ticket Saturday?
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: 25.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And then I put back into the fan zone one pint, three, four food.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Two lads came with us, so all my mates are up when they're collar golf club on Saturday.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Funny them.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: 30 of them, and two came, and they were loving it.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: They were going, this is a proper game.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, like a stadium, the fan zone, loving it, and then the game started, and they're like, should be we should be two-one up with that.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: As Ganyas are right into it, and then they're just like, What the hell?
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: What the hell's going on?
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: But aye, we'll get on to that.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Uh, another message in good crack again, fellas.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: This is on last week.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: On the collar United theme.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: I know nothing about the tactical side, but there's too many bluffers, too many posers.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: This is before Saturday, by the way.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Too many posers, too many think they've made it because they're a so-called big club, bottom end of the National League now.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: What happened to a bit of self-pride in their themselves, and more importantly, bit of self- sorry, bit of self-pride in their own game, effort, commitment, knowing you've done your all.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So many letting themselves and more importantly, their families down.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: That's all supporters want.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: If you get beat by a better team, it'll happens, but not trying is a big no-no.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Too many of them seem to think they've only have to play when they have the ball, get the local youngsters in.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Results might be might not change, but I'd rather watch a group of lads with a bit of fight having a go rather than this shower of shite.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: All valid points.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: One more to go?
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Just going out statements, you know.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Lads, go to town on this social media thing of wanting to look like a pro footballer before you can play like one.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Raise the question why we're told Linny had severe tonsillitis and Quincy, but he was doing a carpool karaoke with Nicholson after training, singing away, yet it stops him in being able to place a shot more than a foot from the keeper's body.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Right, I'll say one thing on it.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: The players are either shite or they've stopped playing for William for Elliot.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: So either way, we're in.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: So, how do you explain the first half then?
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Because it looked to me like they were playing for him, but them chances they miss again are guilt-edged.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: But that second half, they're just down tools and I don't know if they're playing for him.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I think they're playing for like they start the game, they see they can get at walking, they don't get the goal, a little bit that goes against them, suddenly that I know we got the throw in and got an own goal, but we were given that goal.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: But yeah, once things start going, just as the the play starts, 15-20 minutes gone, the opposition have worked us out.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: They're soft, they're fit, they're not fit.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Tell me how many I'll I only watch the extended highlights of the goals and stuff.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: How many 50-50s?
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Watch the goals back.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: How many 50-50s did he lose leading up to just the goals?
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: I mean the whole game.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Every single game gets done.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Wheeling gets ragdolled.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Does it get just goodness?
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: What about the first goal where he's half goes out to close him down with his hands behind his back outside the box?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: You're gonna go, you gotta go.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're gonna go, go and close him down properly.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: That's a second, innit?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Go and stop the cross.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Genuinely try and stop the cross.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: You're not trying to stop the cross, you're just going to be because you're the closest man, you put your hands behind your back outside the box, like but that's it does my head in him watching any football now.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Like, you I get they give handballs and stuff of VR and that, right?
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But every player now puts a hand behind the back, every single defender you can't distance.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: You can't move.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Have you done a uh defending role and told the lads they run about?
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: You can't do it, you can't move your body, you can't react.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: He might as well have not he might as well just stare in the box because as you say, he doesn't he doesn't he doesn't go with any conviction, he just thinks, well, I'll go and sort of close him down because I'm the nearest man to him.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: And he was always going to get the crossing, and you know what?
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Why are their fullbacks crosses much better than ours?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Every team they put a few across the six to see the keeper with the first goal three header, like he's in the back of the net.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Don't get me started on the second one, the second one or something.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: That's what I feel something I actually feel sorry for the manager because he seems like a decent guy whose interviews and stuff, they're trying.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: You can see some of the videos they put out, the the the coaches and that they look like they go in there and they're trying to make things better.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: They're not going in and trying to lose games.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: But when you've got players that are soft, so busy with social media, keepers throwing them in the net, yeah, like it just doesn't get and you're missing chances.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: That that's what chance you got as a manager.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Them chances first half for me are guilt-edged chances.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Like the header has to hit the target at least.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Bunker side foot side foot has to get out of the way.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Does it in the warm up when there's no so like he can't put the ball in the net for them?
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: But I get where I get where he's getting the criticism because of where they are in the league.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Like he's gonna get the hammer, the butt falls with him.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: They're gonna have to change on tomorrow night, Tuesday.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Well, he said in his in his interview after the game, hasn't he?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: He's gonna get sort of lads who are gonna dig in, isn't he?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: We'll see.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: It'd be interesting to see what the standard 11 is.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: But see if you if you had to write down like four or five things that could go wrong for a manager, yeah, losing 50-50s, no stopping crosses, your keeper can't keep it out of the net, don't take your chances.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Like what chance are you?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Like forget tactics, forget diamonds or three, five, twos, four, four.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Doesn't matter what what you work on all week.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: If you can't get four, four of them, if you at least one of them, right?
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Just no chance.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: You know what I'd do?
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: I'd give them another mini pre-season.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Would you they don't look fair?
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Hold on, do they bunk?
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's because bunk has socks, but that's not contributing.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I know he looks tired, and when you've got your socks down like that, I know it's probably a style thing.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: You have your socks like that at eight minutes when you've got cramped.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I know, yeah, so it looks yeah, he's a big boy, although it looks like tough when he runs.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Like, do you not think because he's so thick set as well?
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Do you think playing midfield week in week out now, which is it's gonna catch up with them?
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Well, to be fair, and it's probably credit to him as well.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: I think I've not seen a lot of the games, but he's probably trying to do too much now because he's trying to when I played with him, it seemed like a boy at Cared.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like so he's probably he's probably given an extra 10-15% on trying to do other things, whereas at the start, he was just hitting the box, getting holes.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Now he's probably dropping in and getting on the ball.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: I would say to him, be more selfish, look after yourself, do your own job, and then if the others can't do them, because he's as you say, he's putting out fires for it, he's getting involved when Wern's getting ragged all the week, he's running over to and it's easy to do it now.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Anyway, we'll come on to it, we're gonna go into it much more deep.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: So just going back off last week, social media icks.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: Couples who have a joint Facebook account may as well just announce that one of them has been caught previously messaging someone they shouldn't.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, can I can I add one to that?
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, Cotton controversial, but see see when they get pets and stuff like that, they've got like names of their pets in like houses.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Like they've actually got Instagrams or like oh, so they've got their own like account.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Just I like like a startup, do you know what I mean?
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Like a start up and they're built and they're building stuff in the house and stuff like that.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: So a house renovations and all that.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Or like a dog come with me when we'll fit like oh that's gonna stop.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Like what someone made a few quid off that though, they're gonna send stuff.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: You had your APS twice when you were younger, no once.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: My nana done it.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: You nana done it knacked when I just put like a big pin, um, sterilised it, put my ear on the kitchen top, and just whacked it through.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: I went to the market and you castle.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Gun, bang.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: And then I looked at myself and thought, take it out.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Zora wanted it pestered and pestered and pestered, got it done.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: I head went up my arse with the pain.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: She nearly never went back for the other one.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: I went, You're getting the other one done.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Dad it knacks.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Um speaking of couples, didn't tell you about this in Malta, did I?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: So in Malta, one of the days it was pissing down, and I mean pissing down.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: There's videos of it like flooding and all that.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: So it's in the street.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: We were stuck at a junction, and there was a massive puddle, and you couldn't get through.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: You had to tiptoe around, so we're changed for the night time.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: So me and Laura are waiting, and then the next thing, this fucking hero behind us gets his lass' shoes, puts her on his fucking short like on biggie back, wades through, gets our.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: She looks at us and goes, Any chance?
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I went, absolutely not.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Have you seen his clubber flip-flops and that?
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I'm sitting in Wraith and on.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm not getting this for anyone.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't do it in bad cover, you was just absolutely killed us.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Um got something sent this the other day about a lass saying sending your ix on her Instagram.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So people were putting in the ix off the men.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Go on when the barber pumped his chair up.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Aye, I love that when he couldn't parallel park when we're on holiday and he was treading water in the pool and going down a pool slide.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: The best one for me is always, I think we did discuss it though.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: He when the DJ said make some noise, and the lad went, yeah, and she went, but some lads commented and went, I came on here to have a go at women in general, but I can't disagree with any of the right.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Got one from Minnie Moynen, and I'm allowed to name him.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: So Minnie uh he sponsored the pod at the Smith.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Just to just watching last week's pod catching up.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: This is a couple of weeks ago.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Date story, if you're still on about them.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Being with Claire, I had been with Claire for about seven night seven years.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: After nights out, when we had a little fallout, but still had the horn.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: I'd ask her to marry me.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: Got my lol got me lol end away.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: Sweet.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Took it back the next day, played the card I can't remember card.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: So he's got it with it.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Months later, same scenario, fall out, pissed, home, horny, fuck it, will you marry us?
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Didn't mention it the next day, thought tidy, she's forgot.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Dragged me up town rough.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Next thing she's buying a fucking ring.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: I wasn't taking it back this time.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Got engaged, and about a year later, she said she had only picked the ring because it was a cheaper one, and I couldn't take the proposal back.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Fuck's sake.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Had to go back to the jewelers and do it properly.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Picked the ring and shit.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: So two rings for a few minutes of passion.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Few minutes, mini.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Hi, good one.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: So that's how I got engaged.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Ever the Romantic.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Eh.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: That said, we've been together 25 years and married the 17.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Just shows you don't need all this lovey dovey Facebook bollocks plastering it all over and all that shite.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: True.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Very true.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Promising the world.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Just for a minute or two.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: I got one in from Tracy Sturgis, who's a massive Carlisle United fan.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: When um pretty sure it's Tracy who lived next to who went to Aldershot after Hav Harris.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Can't remember his name.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Harris, the centre midfielder we signed from Aldershot.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Harris.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: No, he played against us the other week.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Oh Jane Harris.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Jane Harris and I.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And he was a bit homesick, wasn't he?
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So she lived next door and she got in touch based just saying.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know if he's opened up to anyone at the club or anything like that.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: So I just put a text and saying he might need an arm round him or something like that.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Meant be a good lad.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: But anyway, hi Chris, another great pod.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Gets better week after week.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I have a bottle of Bell's whiskey and a bottle of Jura whiskey.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: Can I don't need donate these to the raffle?
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Of course you can.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, thank you very much.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Scott Beebe, I'm not sure if I mentioned this.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: He won the Vieri.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Who am I?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: And goes into the raffle with two extra places as well.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Also, thank you to uh Darren Moyner, who we just spoke about.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Love's Young Dream there.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: He's got a donation of£100 worth of vouchers for the Crown and Thistle at Rockcliffe.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Have you ever been in?
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: No.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Oh God, hard to get in.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: I just had to.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: I got a ring.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: So for the raffle, there's two days left.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: I'll put the link up.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: We've got over two grand.

- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Skip, are you giving the massage?
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Bell's whiskey and Jura whiskey.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: So plenty of that.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: And we'll do it live.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Well, we'll do it on the pod in a week or so's time.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we'll draw it.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: So Carl United.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Are you ready?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.

- 15:47SPEAKER_00: Maybe can go for me tomorrow.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: If he's wanting to bring stuff in.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: So if you need three out or four out.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Wheelan, there'd be takers, wouldn't that?
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: So Shields will take them.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Wern.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there'd be takers.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: I think in National League.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: I'd do as well, yeah.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Williams.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Just not work for him.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Power, pace.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I just feel there'd be takers if you needed them out.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: You've got Duru, you've got Ellis who can play there.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: There may be someone they're bringing in.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Harper.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: There's a bit of if you played him, put him on centre mid again on Saturday, didn't he?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Would I give maybe give him another go at left back, you know?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Because I'd play a four now.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: I'd play a proper left back, a proper right back, two centre halves.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: I'd probably bring Hayden Atkinson back and put him with Feeney.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: I'm not having Galvin back.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Or I'd play Ellis.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: I'd have Ellis in the team somewhere now.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: I would, and I would like you say, I mean, I know Harper's definitely not said midfield, and that's that's been proven.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: But I think he's better.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: He can't be any worse than Galvin Thuli.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not having him at all.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Richardson, just tear his contract up.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: If you need people out, if if there'd been a promise now to bring more players in, which I probably don't think they should do that.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Are you allowed to bring them in?
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: No winder.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: No wondering.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: No wonder in the National League.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: So but we can we can't sign from can we sign then from you can't surely can't go to national league teams and take No, you can take National League.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Can we take League One and League Two players?
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: No, they'll be contracted to Windows.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: To Windows.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Unless there were free agents.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: But Richardson, like as I say, if we're wanting people out and if he needs people out, Richardson's not played.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: He's on a one-year deal, so it wouldn't take much to get him out.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: I know Spenny Moore and South Shields were after him.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Spenny Moore struggling.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: It might suit him not training every day.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Because his body seems to be shutting down on him.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, Mark Tianney's getting a lot of grief, which we've got a thingy about what he does.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: What he I put a text into Mark at the weekend and just went, listen, you're gonna have to help yourself, yeah.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: And probably come out along with the family and say something.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: I've also been very critical of the trust, too, rightly, because this I don't know if you know it, Dylan.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: The trust used to have 25%, something like that of the club.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: So when the family came, so they could block any takeover.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: So they were very hands-on with the old regime, Andrew Jenkins, John Nixon, Steve Papp, which was going it unfortunately at the end, it was going really downhill, but the trust backed them.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: This new kind of group came in and not infiltrated the trust, but took over and they promised the right things, and you went, Here we go.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Like they're not gonna be a if someone comes in and wants to buy it like the PyTex, these lads are gonna sort it out.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: So they've reduced to 10% so the Piertex could take it over, which you're like Pyot, you could take it over, you're like brilliant.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: But the problem is now everything they said they were gonna do at the start, they've went reverted back to what the other trusts were doing when Andrew Jenkins, John Nixon, and they're just for me, just there's nothing, there's no communication, kind of like a kid a boys' club.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: They're living the dream of being in the boxes and stuff, but no one's standing up for it.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: And obviously, there's leaks within Collar United.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: They get quite a lot to say in some of these meetings, especially the early days when the when the Americans came in as well.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: So I think they need to to start representing supporters if they've got members.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I don't know how many members they've got, like not that many, I don't think.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: But if you are, you've got to.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: There needs to be some sort of statement, don't there?
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Even if it's right, we're gonna back this manager, we're gonna say something.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: This this silence is just I just was listening to the social, they've put a request out for Well, you're not you're not are you not contracted to make are you not contracted to I don't know.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: You have to make interviews, you have to hold forums, you have to AGMs and stuff on that.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: I think it's a bowl level or that kind of stuff.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: But as I said to Mark, I said, I think you can help yourself, yeah.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Just go, this is what I do, this is what the process is like just be open and honest, because sometimes you'll go actually I get it now.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Why sometimes they're players, don't you?
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: See see when the silence that's when people just they make the story up for you, don't they?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Like, ah, he's doing this, he's doing that, he's not doing this.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But see if you can come out and kind of lay out what your plan is, what you've been doing, the background, the infrastructure.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: They might not agree with it, but at least they can understand it.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: It's a process.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: So, or if you're back in the manager, right?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: What's what's the reasons for it?
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Obviously, not like Nigel Clibbins, the way was it the maths?
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, was it the data or something?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: No, the maths is the maths.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: The maths is the maths.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Know that sort of statement, but like just I he was too busy trying to get me off the radio, M2 man, to be a cheap exact.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: He was one of them when he absolutely backed, no, it wasn't us, he absolutely backed Andrew Jenkins and John Nixon, didn't he?
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'll help you out.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: The minute they got shoved to the side, he was like to the family, oh yeah, but I'm I'm I'm happy user.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Absolutely different animal he was.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, I just think as I say, it's nice to understand what goes into it.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: A lot of people have gone on about Simo, what we're talking about last week, and as you say about stories, like a lot of them saying he was offered the sporting director, or he turned it down.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: He wasn't the plan, was for him to be sporting director, and at the start of the league one season, I'm pretty sure.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Well, this is start the league one season, he was gonna go upstairs, that's what he wanted to do.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And they said, Can you just stay on?
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: We've not got a manager in players, and then one game between four games between eight years.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: So when he was sacked, I think he was quite shocked he was sacked from the whole the whole club.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: It's a family as well, wasn't it?
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: It was kind of like Jake and stuff, and yeah, yeah, I think they were pretty upset about it.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: See, for me though, like no matter what's happened the last few years, they should be find out where Simma is, turn up to his door, fucking flowers and chocolate and say, listen, let's forget everything that's happened.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: How do we fix this?
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Like, we need you somebody like you.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Not manager.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not the manager.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Like, come on board, advise us, be a man of the people run about the town, be a front for us.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Because the people know you're gonna fight for the club.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And the people, so you be the the figurehead of that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And we'll trust you.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Because I know the m the the owners are obviously backing it the club a lot with financial and what they're doing off the pitch.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: We've spoken about it to death, but they need people to to help them.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: What do you think about today that's coming out?
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: You know, the sources that give us it that that they're gonna throw more money in it today for more players.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I think that comes from the second half on Saturday.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: I just think it was.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, my my whole time watching Carlisle, I'm 44 year old.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: That's that second half the worst I've ever seen.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: The first 20 minutes of the second minutes of the second half couldn't get out.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Mate, it could have been seven, eight, or nine in the end.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: It should have been, it should have been five-one after about 55 minutes.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: It could have been 11 in that space, wasn't it?
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: That was it was I was like, how can't they get the ball out?
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like and and the it was just walking just every attack.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Did you watch the little day?
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Did you watch it?
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: So when they scored the third, Rob Elliott's turned round and Linny's there, but I think Wheelins just ran past them and Elliott's just went, used two.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: As if like just ended it off.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Well, certainly Linny was I think Linny was palm, but I'm certain Wheelan was just there and he went, get your stuff off.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: And the the butt it was just like get on.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And as I say, Whelan got ragdolled.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Like, do you know the goal where they've scored it in the box?
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: And I think Feeney's ran at somebody, yeah, pointing the finger.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Who's he pointing the finger at?
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Feeney.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Er Linny.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Is it Linny?
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: They turn over and they get it back, and I think he he tries to like dribble round, and the boy gets it off from him.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I can't get my head round is when he comes out as captain or wheeling the week before and they said they wanted it more than us, they ran more than us.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: I like the honesty, but it's kind of killing.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Oh shit, though.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Like that shouldn't that shouldn't be you shouldn't label yourself that.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: That's don't that's his players as well.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: I know it's the managers.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Listen, it's at the end of the day, it's him that's gonna get he'll get sacked.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, if it keeps going on.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: So but as a group of players, I'd rather the sat, I'd rather the paid six or seven.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Six aye, just go, you know what, it's not worked.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: Atkinson Lowers, come back, we can fill it, this, we can get through it, get a few three or four players, and use there's your contract, there's because it's poison, it's yeah, it's just not what there's clubs we all know.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: We're doing clubs and it doesn't work far too nice.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: And I don't think supporters, even if we win tomorrow night, even if we win Saturday, people's I don't mean them in the club.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Can you believe you're going to f this no disrespect to File either?
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Can you believe you're going to file tomorrow night?
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Half dreading it, thinking, what could happen?
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know what you're gonna get.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Like what I said to use it and I don't want to be one of like, oh I told you so.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: But I went to the game, they won.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Scoobdall won't scored a couple of goals, and I said to use it, and I was like I said to scroll.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: I was like, I don't think they'll go up.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: I don't think they'll go up because they just I don't see a team.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: They've got a couple of decent players on their day can score a goal or two.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Well, that was before the last two weeks, but you know, like that was when Aziz put one in the top corner, Linny came on and scored, like you've George Kelly's got a header or two.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Like, I thought they've got power there, but as a team, and then as you as when they goals dry up, they don't score in the first half.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: I wonder if George Kelly's took the decision not to do a couple of interviews, you know, because he has said he's bit, and if he keeps saying it, it becomes so other people are taking responsibility to do it.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: I've got a text in from John Tyson.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Well, lads, I'm speechless.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: 52 years of following the blues.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Today is probably the only second time I've walked out before the end.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: I worked my arse off to go and watch that shite.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Apart from probably two or three players, the rest wouldn't get a game in Sunder League football.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: Who allowed Elliot to sign ex-players from Gator?
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: No leaders on the pitch and rolled over by a very, very poor walking team.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: When the Piatics came in, they were full of promises.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: They brought in the slogan own the north.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: They couldn't even own a fart.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: I could go on and read that.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: I'll show you that.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: I couldn't I could go on and on.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Who the fuck decided Elliot was the man for the job?
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Why why our keepling why is our keeper coach and fitness coach?
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: This oh no, I'm not gonna read that bit.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Seriously, we're the laughing stock, John Tyson.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: I don't think the fitness coach you're on about is the fitness coach.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: I think you've got maybe one of them mixed up, but I got point taken.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: People come in all shapes and sizes, that's what I'll say.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Excellent, John.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, do you know what?
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Do you know when you you look at some of the lads in the team who you think are worthwhile in the team?
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: The likes of Feeney, for example.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: Does he dread playing next to Nicholson?
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: He must do.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: Because he is so weak, that that lad.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you now, he's and for me, he just talks a good game because I don't see it with him.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: I think he gets bullied.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I I think I think he's average on the ball.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: But it's like he's not his.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: This is the problem I've got.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: He's obviously come for an interview and said, I'll sign a couple cheap and I'll get you up.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: He's definitely said that.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: And they've realised quite quickly.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Feeney, to be fair, Feeney needs.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: I know that I like Feeney, and and he is our best defender in that.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: But he's he's he gets injured a lot.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he is at fault for some of it, but also he's trying to handle everything by he needs, as you've just said, he gets someone next to him.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's 27.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: Why has he got to be the voice of everything?
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Where's these 30 Gans saying a 33-year-old like who won't train but players every Saturday?
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And you know you're gonna get out of it.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: And then Feeney doesn't have to concentrate on everything where he has to at the minute, he has to concentrate on everyone around him.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: He's trying to find corners, and he's just he's even charging the ball.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: I feel sorry, let him have his career.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: What are he's doing at the minute?
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: He's being hindered because he's having to organise every bloody thing and baby wet wipe everything and babysit.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: But where's the leadership group?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: They talk about that now, don't they?
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Like they seem that all these TikToks going on.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: I know we're going back to it, and all these it looks like it's clicky, doesn't it?
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: It all looks clicky and around, it doesn't look like it's there's someone um you know, just two people in a car doing one, there's someone doing that.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm a hammering worn, he's got a podcast or whatever.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: He's not sitting with the lads after a like a training, is he?
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: He's getting off, which is fair enough.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: There's a time and place, innit?
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: I said this when that announced like a lot of different things on social the the annoying thing for me, the TikToks, all that kind of stuff, is what allows you to put out content like that, right?
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Life of a footballer, all this kind of stuff, is actual football.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: So see when that starts affecting the basics of what you what you are as a person now in your career, yeah, is football.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: So if that starts getting in the way, yeah, concentrate on what actually makes you tick as a footballer, yeah.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: And if it's taking if people like us are sitting around a table and pointing a finger and people are writing intake too many TikToks, blah blah blah.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Like, take away the negativity, take away the outside noise and concentrate what you actually done when you were three, four, five year old.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: But I know that you can't upset players these days, but if that was Peter Reid, Simmo, John Ward, Steve Parkin, Bounzi, you'd say, disable that account today, or you don't play for us again.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Done.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: So why does that not happen now?
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Because they're all like that, they're all made.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: I love these boys.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: Give it he's gonna get you the sack.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: Oh no, they're not gonna be your mates when you're driving on an A69.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I think that's uh the manager's interview on Saturday.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: I think that's when it's I like that though.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've got I think that's when he's realised that these boys are actually gonna get mini sacked by being too nice.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and don't get me wrong, let's see, even like me as a young kind of coach and player, like I feel if I was a manager, I would want the boys to like me as well.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: Like now the way you're coaching that, you're like, I want the boys to be like he's a good guy, yeah.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: But the more you kind of see things like this and you think of your own experience as a manager, you probably need to take sometimes change your kind of behaviours.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: I like we got the best out of it as players when a manager, you're always that kind of like fear factor, fear factor.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you see Rob Elliott now, really nice guy, the assistant looks really good, put no stone unturned.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but then that's allowing an environment where boys like the centre half feel like they actually can get away with you doing what they're doing off the pitch.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I could sit and have a beer with Simon a Saturday night, 7 till 11, put the world to rights, talk anything but football, yeah, yeah.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Shake hands, say a great night, Monday morning.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: I'd go in and you'd walk, and I'd be at that level of respect where I'm like, right, I need to be at it today, yeah, and I want to be at it because he's I'm he's doing just because I've sat and had a beer with him, yeah, there's no favours.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you're not doing the you're not doing the job, but like Peter Reid, you'd sit with you all day.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: If you're not at it, training the next day.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: And I think what you're saying's right.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: I think managers these days want to be the mate, but I liked it when I didn't see a manager for a bit.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: Like I wouldn't say Simone would pop his head in, but I wouldn't see him till training, the training ground.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Whereas now they're in amongst each other all the time because you can see it with football stuff as well.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Right, Kirsty Stone, been sat on my feelings of how it was going at Brunton Park.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: My granddad played for the blues in the 1950s, so it's in my blood and very close to my heart.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: But how much can we take as fans?
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: We are paying the money into the club, tickets, shirts, fan zones, new hospitality, but aren't getting any returns off the field.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: I personally give 40% of the blame to the bloody pink shirt.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: I was always told if you were going to wear a snazzy colour or bright boots, you better have the pride and skill to match.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: You're right, though you look in that fan zone again, everyone's it's not cheap to go at the match.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: There's still over 6,000 down Sunday.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: I was surprised.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, I was as well, and that's fair play to people, but it's gonna dwindle if something doesn't happen.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: But like you said, his interview after the game, he was different, wasn't he?
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just like someone had snapped inside.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: How did even though you got a game, run them?
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Or just bring them in, yeah.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: Bring them in and spoil the week again, yeah, watch it back and get the thoughts and make people you know what?
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Now there's nothing worse than watching a game and you've fucked up.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you're like shit shit.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: This is the game.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: We'd watch the full game.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Neil Lennon would sit us down and watch the full game, and it would take us two or three hours because anything that happened in the game, he would pause it, he'd pause it, and he'd like look looking for you now in the thing, and he's like, What the like effing and shouting, like what you do, and you know it's coming because you know, like do you know what I mean?
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Like, but again, it was almost that fear factor.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: You knew the next game.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: If somebody ran off me, he's got and he's pausing it and hammering me in front of everybody next week.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: I guarantee you nobody was running off me.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: It just it can give you accountability.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: I used to come in.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: We've been like we beat Bristol City or Bristol Rovers midway, 3-1 to you take us to the title, got in the dressing room, what a massive win that is.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: Dennis Booth.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: He ran off you for that goal.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: That's all I thought about in the way I went.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Fucking did he run off me.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: Played for crew, what a goal in the championship.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: Do you know what that's clever from him though?
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: Because he'll know that with the character that you are.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: Played for crew in the championship, 3-0 up, had one of the games in my life.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: Last minute, someone's run offers and scored.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Manager for crew is not arsed.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: He's like, What a result, what a game.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: But I in my head, instead of going up to supporters like that, I was like, Fucking hell, why'd I let him run offers?
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was like, bastard.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: The worst I've ever been was Northwitch away for Barrow.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: I've tried to cry someone in my own box, and it was 2-1 to us.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: They took offers and scored.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: And Janona just manager, Bill and Chairs, but McNulty was there behind us as well.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: He's went to see and he was screaming at us, and I wouldn't look back.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: But he was telling you that.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: But it was a 90-second minute anyway, so I even got like 20 minutes for him to calm down.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: The whistle went about 30 seconds later.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I've never been a scared walking in the change room and we're like, Priesty, Brian Shelley, just went with 2-1 up.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: And I see Priesty going, slow it down.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: He's chucked it in.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: They've headed forward, and as they're attacking, Shells is getting back.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: I can hear Priesty going, F these score, Shells, if these score, and they're scored, didn't they?
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: And he's just ran over to him, like left his centre-forward position and just give it that.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: It's about 20 minutes left.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: And Shells is next to me, he goes, He's gonna fucking kill me in that dressing room.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: I went, he really is.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: I don't remember aye.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Well, when I got in the change room, I just I remember the door just needed to come off with hinges.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: I knew it was him, and I could just and he just went to town on us like and I deserved it.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: But do you know what?
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Obviously, we were part-time.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: You didn't cry for it again.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: I've never cry for it again anywhere near my box after that.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: Over 55, he's playing safe, just not even up through anything.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: I'm wondering why every time he does a cry now he goes white.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: No, but that was on a Tuesday night.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: We trained on the Thursday.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: We'll mate again.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Aye, do you know what I mean?
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Like he's he's said what he needed to say, and I deserved it.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: I still would have held it against you for a few weeks.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Uh, this is from Colin Bargest as I was going on about the the money that people pay.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: He says, Hi, bud, hope you're good.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: Season ticket holder, War at Road End with my daughter.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: I have been for 30 years.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: It's gloomy at present, but hopefully get a good result.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Any chance of you could use three coming out of retirement?
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I hope you keep well.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: I travel from West Cumbria, Cellarfield Way, but it's really getting expensive now with diesel, and I pay£200 for a parking bay outside the club shop for disability.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Does he?
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Jesus.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, the players will start to show the same dedication as me.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: I think we'll still be okay this season, but it needs to start soon.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: What are your thoughts, lads?
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Catch you soon, lummy.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Colin Barr and Laura Barr.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: See, that's fucking that's what you forget.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not seeing these players.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Listen, we've been there, I'm aware you do get caught up in it and it's your job, and you do forget about these sort of things.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: So I'm not hammering for that.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: It's just nice to sometimes when you're getting booed, when you're getting frustrated, when the people are wanting people not to do TikToks, or when they want the head of football to come out and do an interview, that's why because they just want to be feel like they're appreciated.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: And it's like the trust, people are getting at them.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: Like I I hammered a couple of people on Saturday night, Dan and Matt Spooner.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: And I actually like them as people, but when you put yourself in a position where you are, it's like when I played, they were allowed to hypose at me and boom me.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Now they're in a position I'm allowed to go at them.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: So I think when these statements come out and they actually take on board what you're saying, if they don't agree, just say we appreciate what it looks like, and you go, Well, you know what?
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: That's all I kind of asked for.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: You might not agree with it, but you can kind of accept.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: I always thought that when we speak about managers and stuff, see if they're like dropping you and stuff, you've had a one and they're dropping you.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: See you might not always agree by the decision, but you appreciate the actual the thought processors telling you.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: Do you think you can understand?
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: I can understand from um from a manager's point of view, like why you're making a decision now.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: Like did Simmons did Simmo pull you in?
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: Aye, Simmons was good at that.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: Greg Abbott didn't, Neil MacDonald did.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Um some people didn't, so some people just had enough of you, hadn't they?
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: Just went, it's my decision to change the team.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: You didn't know till the side of he was putting me in when we were like trying to get more kind of control of the ball and stuff like that.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: Do you know?
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: So it was good and bad, but I only mentioned Simmer because I remember you saying he had to be.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: I like just you you might not agree with it, but you can understand that he's in a position where he needs to make decisions, do you know what I mean?
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: And yeah, these people are in a position where they are making decisions, but they need to tell the fans.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: Do you see what the Stoke lads used to call Tony Pulis?
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: What the new drop because he'd go, Johnny, how's the family?
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: How's the family?
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Fucking hell because he'd go, How's your family?
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: Well, I've got to tell him that my wife's fine, but he's gonna say just leaving you out tomorrow.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: It's a good way to start.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: How's your family?
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: The Charlie Adam one's good on another kosh.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: Johnny, I've seen a few clips, looks good.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Um, right, let's get away from that shower of shite for a bit.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: File tomorrow.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: You're commentating, aren't you?
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: I'm commentating.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Let's get one-nil, gritty win.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: That's all you want, don't you?
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: Um Rob, get your win and tear it at them still afterwards and go.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this isn't still nowhere near good enough, even if you've if you get the right result.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: You're looking at my team there.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna do yours.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: So, what we're gonna do in the next three weeks, we're gonna see who we've played against, the best players we've played against.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Now, this doesn't have to be the biggest names.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: It's so yeah, say I played against, I don't know, Rio Ferdinand, played against him a couple of times, but then I've played against the League One centre half five or six times, who has always been in the team of the year.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Well, mine's it mine's a bit of both, but yeah, a bit of no bit of both.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: So I'll do Dylan, you do ours next week.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we'll do skips this week.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: So I'm going 4-3-3.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, you got it, right?
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: Who's your keyboard?
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: But he's someone who's never played in the football league before, right?
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: That's and he should have done Aaron Taylor to play with working as Taylor, yeah.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: So he was very unlucky because he he went to Carlisle pre-season one time.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: What year do you think that was?
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, good question.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: I think that was 2007.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so, yeah.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And I and I got him a trial at Akron Stanley.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: Um good at you've got former getting keeper.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: He should have been in the night, couldn't he would have got the fall?
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: And he'd done really well, and Paul Cook turned round and he just got a phone call off after the game for an experienced keeper.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: So he went with the experience, but he really rated as.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: And as he's the best keeper, one of the best keepers, if in my eyes, to come out of this town by a by a long shot.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: And he he's 40-year-old now, he's still playing for Carl C.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: And I believe the difference he's made is unbelievable.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: So he's my keeper.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right back, George Pilkington.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: Port Vale.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: So I was I was I was teammates with him and played against him.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: So he was at Everton Reserves, um, and he was very, very good.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: And I was a teammate of him at Port Vale for two years.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: But he couldn't have been down there.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, outstanding.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just you know, like someone who's never ever let you down.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: I don't think I've ever won there.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: You didn't win when I played.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, did I?
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: 3-1.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Uh tell you what I said to him.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: Go on.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: I said, just fucking go and wash my car.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: I just set two up mind and got man of the match and put us top of the league when he was on about his cars.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: Just tell me what go and wash my cars.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Uh he had two courses.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: So the centre half he wasn't yeah.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: We went to play him the next time.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: He'd already been fucking Horton had Bindon.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: A great game against us.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: So centre half, Danny Shitu.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: Played against him at QPR.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Animal.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Animal.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: In the tunnel, you went to the bottom.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Beating his chest in the tunnel.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: He was about eight foot tall and he was just an animal.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: QPR Watford.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: They beat us 5-0 at Loftus Road.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: When the league wanted to be a team, when we were at Port Vale and he was just a good team, that yeah.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: He he was technically rubbish, but defending and that's it.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: You've never played a QPR?
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: No, that's some atmosphere.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: He's the type of guy, Carl Al Neen, right now.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: Just like a Kev Grey type of guy.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: No nonsense.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Big no nonsense, just and his partner would be Robert Hooth.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Played against him for Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Absolutely units.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: And he was just a monster.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: Why though?
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Just a roll.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: Bigger than you thought.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: Bigger than I thought.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: Rolls Royce made all the right decisions.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: Rolls Royce.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: He had never put him as a Rolls Royce.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Easy for him.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: Just one of them that glided across the grass.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: He was just tell you who I played against, and I used to shout, leave him on it.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: It's crap.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Where's Morgan?
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: And he'd give us back, and then he's lifted the lifted the prem.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: Left back Stephen Warnock.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Liverpool reserves.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: So strong in the tackle, and like he was a strong, strong guy.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Like, just but again, quality, and he could play anywhere.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: He um had a right pot at Bignettes, didn't he?
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: Because he got told he was in the squad for the Champions League.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: And then he went in the next day and he was completely out of it, not even travelled.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he spoke about that on a podcast.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: Do you know David Raven used to play for us?
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: So they were all Lee Potter.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Remember Potter played for MK Dons for a lot of years.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Darren Potter.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: So they were all like first year pros.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: So if you watch the footage properly, they've all ran on.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: But AC Milan, the big hitters are when don't want losers' medals.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: They've all grabbed them.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: So they've got they've got the losers up his runners up.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: Flog it.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: So here's my left back.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: So the three midfield central is Gary McAllister.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: Player manager for Coventry when I just signed for Portville, played them pre-season.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: He was 38 or 39.
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: Seen him in Marbiat, and he really won the absolutely ran the show.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: To the left of him, Jimmy Bullard.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: Calm down, yeah.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Played against him Peterborough, mate.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Busy.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: Busy's not the word.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: He wanted to take goal kicks, throw-ins, corners, everything.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Doesn't surprise you.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: And that squarky Cockney voice, he just didn't show up all game.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: He was unbelievably good.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Technically was he always like laughing and joking.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: But he's one who could complete the bleep test for his injuries.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: So you're not like you're not oh was he super super fan.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Was he?
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: So that's Gary McAllister sitting in front of the back four.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Jimmy Ballard to the left.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Jason Kumas to the right.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: I thought he was coming.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Debut from hell against him.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Um I lasted 55 minutes.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: So you know that crew game I was on about there, the 3-0, 3-1.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: He was playing for is that his boy playing for Liverpool now?
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: But he was a bit heavy, you know, Kumas.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Until he got a West Brom.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: But he was class.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: Then they got him.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: He was always heavy, but they got him like extremely not.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: So he was not a centre.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: He wasn't he would be class in this day and age now.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Because he it was a he'd playing a three and you you just two footed as well.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: He squared you up in midfield to run at you.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: You didn't know which way he was going to go because you must have to go.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Just pass it.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: I've got you've got my share.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: You're just showing you a he'd just pass away.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Has Taylor never thought he'd be in the same conversation as fucking hooth, Gary McCoy.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: When did you see this with the three forwards he's in with?
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Hooley better not be on this.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: So three forwards.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: So on the left, Wayne Rooney.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Fair enough.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Everton reserves.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Jesus.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: He only played half an hour like I've talked about.

- 45:06SPEAKER_00: Granholt, yeah.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Just because even though I played against him against Rochdale and he dived, he says he never, but he did.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: He was still outstanding, but it's a lot of that's to do with the career he's had and where they come from as well.

- 46:07SPEAKER_00: Chat GBT, come on on.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: I've traveled now.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: What's going on with that?

- 46:21SPEAKER_00: This lad's got a big NVQ to do.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: And uh I just said, listen, I'll help you with it.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: All I've done was take a picture of the front of the paper.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: Then 10 seconds, it's got every detailed answer, like about a hundred pages long.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: I'm like, how the fuck?
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: Problem is now though, everyone will be doing it, so you've got to change the words.

- 47:05SPEAKER_00: So CB go in and you delete it and put your dash on on your keyboard, or is it shot in the middle of the channel?
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: I'd like to think I don't need Jack JB to I'd need it for a couple of things.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Or the email isn't it?
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, Adam, can we get that team in a graphic?
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: Post it and try.

- 56:16SPEAKER_00: The squads right now.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: They put now.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: They are.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: Bottom half champions.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: They've been the championship.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: Take away the last couple of the results for Celtic.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Where are you putting Celtic?
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Don't say a Premier League.
- 56:26SPEAKER_00: The Premier League.
- 56:28SPEAKER_00: I know he's your mate.
- 56:28SPEAKER_00: McGregor couldn't run.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: He wouldn't get amongst it.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: Last couple of games.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: Who put them in a forward?
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: That's in a forwards league one.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: We put him in last year in the Europe League games or Champions League games they've had in the last two, three years.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: They couldn't do it week in, week out.
- 56:43SPEAKER_00: Bought mark a championship.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: Who have we got?
- 56:45SPEAKER_00: How?
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: How?
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: And um Hill.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: And who else we got?
- 56:53SPEAKER_00: Coventry.
- 56:53SPEAKER_00: Coventry.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 56:55SPEAKER_00: Coventry, yeah.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: That's a good argument.
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: That's actually an active good argument.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: I think you've got to actually get it.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Well I was gonna I was gonna say top end of the championship.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: That's what I was gonna say.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: Well you'd say it.
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: I am, that's what I'm saying to you now.
- 57:05SPEAKER_00: Top end of the champion.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: Right, so unfortunately.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: What if Chelsea went against it's what if what players what Celtic Ringers team is going and buying somebody from Cobland Trade?
- 57:18SPEAKER_00: Right, yeah, okay.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: So what what is that the market they're in?
- 57:21SPEAKER_00: I don't doesn't mean everything, right?
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: Well they're not in a Newcastle market.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: Sunderland would beat them.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: Of course, I'm not top.
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: I think who would beat Celtic beat Sunderland in Newcastle last year?
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in a friendly, I sometimes five one or something.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Ah, in a friendly, what you in a friendly doesn't matter.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: Does matter you can run then, McGregor could run then right.
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: Stick it up for the Scottish Ave.
- 57:44SPEAKER_00: You can you can't blame him.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: I I wouldn't put them in this Prem.
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't top into the championship.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: Tottenham have no score to go in.
- 57:49SPEAKER_00: Tottenham would decide them.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: Tottenham would destroy them.
- 57:53SPEAKER_00: Who's the keeper?
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: He's terrible.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: Johnston.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: The centre halves, Carbackers.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: Tottenham Dave went in the World Cup.
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: Alistair Johnson, if he wasn't injured, phenomenal.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: He'll go to the Prem.
- 58:06SPEAKER_00: Chris Birchell went to the World Cup, man.
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: That's a good shout, to be fair.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: Keen Tierney with the Arsenal.
- 58:12SPEAKER_00: Let's forget that one.
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: McGregor's Scotland.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: Can we get the other ones?
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: Hibbs, bottom league one.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: He's titling me up, isn't he?
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: The shit.
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: No, to be fair, Hibbs Hibbs are top of double for that.
- 58:28SPEAKER_00: Top half league one.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 58:30SPEAKER_00: Who's getting the goals?
- 58:32SPEAKER_00: Erm what are you called?
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: The Hib centre forward?
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: Err Bowie?
- 58:37SPEAKER_00: Bowie, that's it.
- 58:38SPEAKER_00: They won it since Huddersfield have absolutely real though.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: They might do alright because everyone in League One will try playing out from the back and they'll fucking press them.
- 58:49SPEAKER_00: That's the problem.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: But Livingston and that did sign people from League Two and that all the time.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:57SPEAKER_00: Hard to be top end of the champ.
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: None of the Hibs and Hearts players are going Prem.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: Unless they're 16, 17, 18.
- 59:04SPEAKER_00: No, no, I agree with that.
- 59:05SPEAKER_00: What are you saying?
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: Hard to be in the championship.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: Livingston will be National League.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: Livingston are championship club this year, though you're not.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: Dundee United, we've bought them in League Two, mid-table.
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: Right, move on, come on.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: Dundee United would be League 2, mid-table.
- 59:21SPEAKER_00: Nah, I'm not even responding to that.
- 59:23SPEAKER_00: Chesterfield popping them off the park.
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, Barnes have just went through up against Hearts.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: What I will say before we move on is how many boys you see from England coming up to Scotland and thinking they're going to breeze it?
- 59:40SPEAKER_00: Think it's going to be a piss.
- 59:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but what level I know they're got they're getting moved to the game.
- 59:44SPEAKER_00: And you struggle, Chris Sutton.
- 59:46SPEAKER_00: But even boys at Livingston and stuff like that, they come up in Hearts, Hibs.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: They think oh they've had a good career down here, League One Championship, and they come up, they struggle.
- 59:54SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying they're bad players, but it's it's harder than you think to play.
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: I know the argument started in Rangers, if they were in the Premier League, they would spend the money.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_00: So I get that they would end up being there and staying there being a total force.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_00: Right at this point, yeah, they're beating Coventry and Hull.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, to be fair, a few of them.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_00: Ipswich, Coventry.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_00: I think Ipswich would be too much for them.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_00: Coventry haven't been I don't know.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Coventry a bit.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: Right, it's a good very good question.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is a good question.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_00: We'll probably get a lot in about that, so let's embrace that.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: Again, subscribe on the YouTube and get some comments on.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_00: Um, gents, latest podcast I listened to, you mentioned Anthony Gordon.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: Reminding me of an embarrassing incident that happened to me.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_00: Gordon lived near Gordon lived near Morpeth during his time at Newcastle.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: Nice place.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_00: I currently live there.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: Ross Henderson got a few quid.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I was walking through the town centre a couple of years ago when I clocked this tall lad walking towards me and he smiled and gave me the nod.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_00: Presumed I knew him, so I stopped and asked how he was, hoping where I knew him from would click.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: I asked about his parents, what he'd been up to, then hit rock bottom by asking how his job was going.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_00: At that point, some kids ran up and asked for his autograph.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_00: It clicked.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_00: I said, I don't know you, do I?
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_00: He said no and walked away.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_00: That's bad enough on its own.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: But I tried to repeat the exact same thing in Marks and Spencer's a week a month later.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_00: He stopped me and said, This is the second time you've done this, but laughed.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_00: Anyway, what's the worst mistake in identity you've been involved in or know about?
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_00: I said hello to this lad for about 13 years running every Saturday in the castle and pal and nated them off.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_00: Crippled with fear that one week someone would go, how do you know each other?
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_00: What's ever in it?
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_00: I'm terrible with names.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: I'm terrible.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: So round here, I'm terrible because I didn't grow up here.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: I know, but I didn't spot no.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: I've like, I know them people by face.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_00: You know everyone by face, not by names.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_00: I I pal and met people off and then realised afterwards, and I think he must think I'm a right dick because I didn't say him by his name.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_00: But I just it twigs after I've seen them, and I'm you have got no excuse, you are from round.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_00: I'm bad for it, yeah.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: I'm bad for it.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_00: There's nothing worse though, like not even like related to football when you know someone you're talking, and you can't remember the name.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: I know it's awful as well.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_00: And you're trying to you while you're talking, you're trying to think of it.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_00: How do I know them?
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: Is it like through the kids' clubs or whatever it is?
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_00: Uh and you're scrambling, and you oh, it's a nice.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_00: Stevie Hayward told me that Jean Tiggenar took over at Fulham.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_00: So all he done for the first week was play 11v11.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_00: So Kevin Ball was in the 11, Steve Hayward, Lee Clark, but Jim Tiggenarch kept calling Baalie Clarky, and then said Baalie ran past Steve Hayward when he fucking calls me Clark he won my fucking time.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_00: And then Steve Here went, You shouldn't let him, you might get in the fucking team.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_00: Cheers, Ross Henderson.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: Next time you see him, well, you won't see him, he's in Barsa now.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: Joe Young.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_00: Dylan mentioned in the last one somewhere about supporters being entitled to an opinion.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: How much as players do you actually value the opinions of fans who go to every game?
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: I'll always believe that you have had to have played the game or been involved at a half decent standard to have a valid opinion on football players.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: So people who are every match at three o'clock on a Saturday between the age of 16 and 35 clearly can't play the game.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_00: So is their opinion really valid at all?
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_00: So years and years ago, I think throughout football, and I was kind of the same opinion was have you played the game?
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_00: You know, when opinions came in.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: Because it was before social media, so if someone's giving you a bit, you would bite back, wouldn't you?
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_00: So players are lost used to it now where there's a lot of attention on you.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_00: And I probably would have gone along that same line, but now I think there's so much access to football, so much it's more explained.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_00: You get things pointed out on all these podcasts or shows of what can happen, and I think you can learn the game quite well without actually playing it.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_00: So I'll get his point, and I do, but I think there's a bit more of an understanding now, even if you haven't played the game.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_00: Good point.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_00: What my point would be is not on the pitch, where people are miles off it is off the pitch in the dressing room, the politics, in the stand, directors of football, contracts, transfers, agents.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_00: That's where they really don't know what is going on.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_00: But how would the yeah it's a good point, innit?
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_00: You talk about off the pitch.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't feel a lot of people understand they see obviously your halands, your runies and stuff like that, and the the kind of lifestyle.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: Majority of footballers haven't they got that luxury.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_00: Do you know you finish football, they need to go work, they do what I mean, like ourselves.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of trying to get normal fans to kind of understand that as well.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_00: Like you're actually just normal people, they that people follow their job, but on the pitch I feel again, people have opinions and you like they're miles off it.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_00: They're all people who are well, so I thought he was a good, I thought he was a he he had a good game, and you're thinking, nah, like that's but then but I feel majority of times they kind of say what they see.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_00: See if you're talking tactics and all this kind of stuff, I'd be like, I don't really know if I think.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_00: We talk of it as a bluffer, yeah.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_00: They might know not know a bluffer.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_00: We know a bluffer who pretend to go in for tackles, or we know a captain who gives it the big in, yeah, who we've played with in your own.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_00: Or the keeper runs out in the shooting when you go shots or this kind of stuff.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_00: It's all for sure.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_00: See when I feel they're valid, and they're usually kind of on the same wavelength of at the weekend when they're like they gave up.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: No one in fifty-fifties or that kind of stuff.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_00: That's just black and white, like you can see it, and majority feel it.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_00: Anybody can see it.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_00: And that's valid.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_00: I'm in a group chat with my mates from Newcastle, and sometimes I have to switch it off of some of the views.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_00: Carl supporters on whole are quite intelligent support.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_00: Like the again, the saying plaud walking off.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_00: Like the the applaud visiting support uh players and stuff like that.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_00: They kind of got a good of a pre you always get the odd odd person who you think, what?
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: You always find something there's always one or two who actually go against the green, don't they?
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_00: But they think like everybody's jumping on him, so I'm gonna kind of back them.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: Like it's just that natural.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I don't like?
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: There'll be people who let's take the Rob Elliott, Mark Hughes thing, and they'll never want to admit say Rob Elliott was top of the league now.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: They'd never want to admit because they wanted Hughes to stay, they'll never admit that it was the wrong thing, or vice versa.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: Like the ones who wanted Hughes to stay now are like totally so.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: But like I like people who go, you know what?
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_00: Hold me hands up.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_00: I was wrong about like the players we used to see he's crap.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_00: If Nicholson turns in next week, if Nicholson from this minute turns into the best centre off, there'll be no one happier than us.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_00: Like, or wheeling starts ragdolling people about, and you're like, right, here we go.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: Here we go, yeah.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_00: That's what you want, yeah.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: Because as your boy last season, the start of it was he was go out the door, he was going, and you're like, what is he bringing?
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: And then next thing he's cutting him and you're like, Here we go.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: He's back to that now, though.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, wow, he was but yeah, I think the understanding football, because of all the exposure, you got a better understanding of it, like Carraghan Neville, the break it down.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_00: There's so many different routes to watch and listen to football, isn't there?
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there is a lot of fans who who do speak sense, but like you say, when some sometimes the miles off it, I I get the just me personally.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_00: If you front it sometimes, you get it thrown at you, or is it because I didn't play the game?
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_00: I I I'm not allowed an opinion, or just because I didn't play arm, that makes me wrong.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, I just say you didn't play the game, just your and respect that, but you know, opinion answered Tosh.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_00: And another one is like they're going about loyalty in football sometimes, you know, with like players and all that, but sometimes you get trapped like shit at clubs, too.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_00: I was too loyal, it cost me a leads move for playing a fucking.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_00: They need to know more than what they actually know for certain.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_00: And the same club, the same club who say he didn't take that move, they've released them a year later, or say he's gone, and you're like, and you've forgotten in a week.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: Like the lad could get injured, as we keep saying, Pete Handyside, God rest him, was going to Middle.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_00: So he was on uh£800 a week at Grimsby.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's going to Middlesaire under Brian Robson for four and a half grand a week.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: What played one more game for Grimsby, slit his Achilles, move over, and Grimsby the year after released him because he couldn't get fit.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what I'm talking about, yeah.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_00: So hard to the boy at Rangers, didn't it?
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_00: The boy Chermity.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_00: Supposed to be going for like 20 minutes in the striker.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_00: And he's not useful to Chermitty.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he played he played one more game, he was going to Everton.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: No, he came from Everton, and he's supposed to be going for a big, big money, played one more game, done his ACL.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_00: Done.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, nightmare.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_00: Deal off.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_00: So Joe, thank you very much.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_00: He talks some sense.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_00: Joe, he's based over the northeast, watches a lot of non-league football.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_00: Um saying that I was with someone on Saturday.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_00: It's small world.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_00: One of the Geordie lads who came with us who I didn't know, good friends.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_00: His son played in the same team as a player who's just in at Middlesbrough, and we were in from the other week on loan.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_00: Middlesbrough blocked it.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_00: Kalou.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_00: I'm just like sitting at I'm just like, can I never see, never met you, and then next thing you start talking about players and that.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_00: Uh Sunday results.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: Carl City Sunday League.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_00: We'll wrap up before we get off.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_00: So results for Sunday, the 27th of September, not many games, but Dalston Junior Black Reds 2, the Goslin Bridge 2, Longtown 6, Harobi Catholic Club 2.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: This is Premier League.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_00: Premier League.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_00: Division 2, New Leites 3, Clubhouse FC seven, Reunited FC two, Eden Town FC four.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_00: Eden Town got pumped in the first game, about 10, didn't they?
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_00: Then they've won everyone.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_00: Stanick's nil, Beehive Reunited FC five.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_00: So Premier League this weekend.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_00: Dalston Black Reds host Club Britannia.
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_00: Harrowby hosts the Currick.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_00: What time's that?
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_00: Sunday morning, half ten.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_00: Keenan Park, won't it?
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_00: And Longtown host Denton Holme.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_00: Division two, a busier weekend in the second division as Clubhouse hosts New Leiths.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_00: Where's New Leiths?
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_00: Where is it?
