- 0:07Speaker 1: We have a special guest on the blulet keV Show today,
- 0:10Speaker 1: a legend, one of the greatest rappers to ever touch
- 0:12Speaker 1: a microphone. Thank you, man. I appreciate it when we
- 0:15Speaker 1: talk about lyricism and we talk about at any given time,
- 0:19Speaker 1: this guy could be considered the best rapper alive when
- 0:21Speaker 1: he's just in his pocket. Man, I appreciate that, bro
- 0:25Speaker 1: Crooked Eye. What up with you, cav Man? Would you
- 0:29Speaker 1: consider yourself one of the most underrated rappers of all
- 0:31Speaker 1: time as well? You know? Well, I feel like I
- 0:34Speaker 1: underrate you. Sometimes when people ask me that question, I
- 0:36Speaker 1: always go to like Black Thought or Sean Price. I'd
- 0:39Speaker 1: be like, no, you're one of those guys too. I mean,
- 0:42Speaker 1: m have posted that in his opinion, I was the
- 0:46Speaker 1: most underrated in hip hop history. That's a MC you
- 0:49Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, And a lot of people feel
- 0:51Speaker 1: that way. Who's it depends on who's doing the rating.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Mm you feel me? So, if you know you know,
- 1:00Speaker 1: if you know, you know, No, there's a lot of
- 1:02Speaker 1: goat contenders, you know what I mean who don't get
- 1:06Speaker 1: on songs with me? Yeah, I mean listen, I just
- 1:08Speaker 1: think when it comes to like wordplay, lyrics. I mean,
- 1:11Speaker 1: the things that make an MC and MC. I just
- 1:13Speaker 1: I think that when you're in your bag, it's rough.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I mean, there ain't a lot of people who can
- 1:20Speaker 1: hang with you. Man, Hey, I appreciate that. I mean,
- 1:22Speaker 1: that's that's years. That's years. That's years. Man. It's crazy
- 1:25Speaker 1: too because I just remember back in the day buying
- 1:28Speaker 1: the Swaying King Tech albums from like the liquor store,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and that is where I first discovered you from those
- 1:34Speaker 1: freestyles because they used to have like the best of
- 1:36Speaker 1: the wake Up Show. And this might have been around
- 1:39Speaker 1: the time you're on Death ro Er, it might have
- 1:41Speaker 1: been before, but that was like kind of you know,
- 1:45Speaker 1: I mean, how many years ago was that, man, I
- 1:46Speaker 1: was a kid, so that was that was years I
- 1:48Speaker 1: was a kid too. I mean that was in the
- 1:51Speaker 1: nineties probably somewhere, you know what I mean. Shout out
- 1:54Speaker 1: to Swain Tech because they always heard Tech nine for
- 1:56Speaker 1: the first time too. Yeah, they have their platform. They
- 2:00Speaker 1: really shared their platform with real lyricists, you know, and
- 2:04Speaker 1: when their platform was at its hype, you know, syndication
- 2:08Speaker 1: and you know, they're on one of the biggest stations
- 2:10Speaker 1: in America. They were letting people come up there and
- 2:13Speaker 1: drop straight bars. I hope that we get a documentary
- 2:18Speaker 1: for them, in the same way we got to Stretch
- 2:19Speaker 1: and Bobido documentary, because I feel like what they did
- 2:23Speaker 1: was like equals equally as important for guys like Eminem,
- 2:27Speaker 1: for guys like all these you know, we could go
- 2:28Speaker 1: on and on. Yeah, I mean, that's the first time
- 2:31Speaker 1: I ever heard Eminem was on Swing Tech Facts. Well, listen,
- 2:36Speaker 1: welcome to the show. Obviously, so much we got to
- 2:39Speaker 1: talk about so much, we got to unpack it'dt you
- 2:45Speaker 1: got an album coming out with Joel, Yes, sir, Tomorrow Night.
- 2:51Speaker 1: This is an album that is obviously stirred up a
- 2:53Speaker 1: lot of controversy. It's stirred up a lot of opinions.
- 2:58Speaker 1: The records that you guys have out have been great
- 3:01Speaker 1: so far, and for people who are unaware, this is
- 3:03Speaker 1: the second time you and Joel have put out a
- 3:05Speaker 1: joint project. Absolutely, so let's get Let's get for first
- 3:10Speaker 1: of all, who like the initial idea of theming this
- 3:18Speaker 1: album around the Rise and Falls Slaughterhouse? Right? Where did
- 3:23Speaker 1: the idea come from? And how long have you guys
- 3:28Speaker 1: been working on this body of work? Basically? Man, you
- 3:33Speaker 1: know I had an opportunity for the whole group Slaughterhouse.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And you know, let's give us the timeline. How long
- 3:41Speaker 1: ago was that. This was in August okay, August of
- 3:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. August of twenty twenty one. I had
- 3:46Speaker 1: an opportunity. I felt it was a good opportunity for
- 3:49Speaker 1: where Slaughterhouse is today. You know what I mean. We
- 3:54Speaker 1: kind of dropped off the scene as the streaming era
- 3:58Speaker 1: took off, you know what I mean. Our last album
- 4:01Speaker 1: was in twenty twelve. That's ten years ago. Wow, that's
- 4:05Speaker 1: so great. I'm fucking old man. Yeah, Doug, that's what
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. So, our fans
- 4:11Speaker 1: have been with a glass house. No, the Glasshouse never
- 4:14Speaker 1: came out, I know, that's right. That was the That
- 4:16Speaker 1: was the Welcome Dark House with the Celo single and
- 4:18Speaker 1: all that. Yes, sir, So that was ten years ago,
- 4:21Speaker 1: and our fans have been waiting on music for ten years,
- 4:23Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I had this opportunity.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I thought it was a great opportunity. I spoke to
- 4:31Speaker 1: a couple other guys about it, and it was brought
- 4:34Speaker 1: back to me that Joe didn't think that that was
- 4:36Speaker 1: a good opportunity, you know what I mean, he didn't
- 4:38Speaker 1: want to do it. So Joe didn't want to do it,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and Royce said he didn't want to do it. If
- 4:43Speaker 1: if Joe wasn't doing it, now maybe maybe Royce felt like,
- 4:47Speaker 1: it's not really slaughter House unless it's all four, you
- 4:52Speaker 1: know what I mean? Because and so it might not
- 4:55Speaker 1: just because of Joe per se. It could have just
- 4:57Speaker 1: been whatever. But I went back to the label and
- 4:59Speaker 1: I was like, Yo, what could you offer us for
- 5:01Speaker 1: just us three? You know what I mean? Because Joe
- 5:04Speaker 1: is retired and he's he doesn't seem interested in this
- 5:06Speaker 1: deal right here. And they were like, Yo, we're rock
- 5:10Speaker 1: and roll with you. Let's do it, you know. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: so when I brought that to Royce, he was like, nah,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you know, slaughter House needs to be all four of us.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So when we hung up the phone, met him and Joel.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Me and Joel got back on the phone the next
- 5:26Speaker 1: day and was like, yo. I was like, Yo, how'd
- 5:28Speaker 1: you feel about that conversation? And he said it felt
- 5:32Speaker 1: like the group was officially over? And I said, yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: it does. You know, spent ten years we bring an
- 5:38Speaker 1: opportunity to the table. You know, they don't want to
- 5:41Speaker 1: do it, you know, for whatever reason. You know, they're
- 5:44Speaker 1: entitled of course to to you know, want to do
- 5:47Speaker 1: business or not. I was like, man, this shit is
- 5:52Speaker 1: pretty pretty much over. So, you know, we sat on
- 5:55Speaker 1: it for a minute, and then I called Joel back
- 5:58Speaker 1: and I was like, yo, man, let's get back in there.
- 6:00Speaker 1: He was like, yeah, Man, let's get back in there
- 6:02Speaker 1: and do something. And it was just a conversation. What
- 6:05Speaker 1: are we going to talk about? And I was like, man,
- 6:07Speaker 1: let's talk about all the shit that happened. It's slaughter house.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Let's talk about the good times the bad times. Let's
- 6:14Speaker 1: just let's get a fan some closure, you know what
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm saying, and let's give ourselves some therapy, you know.
- 6:21Speaker 1: And uh, that's how the whole concept started rolling out.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And this was in like I would say, probably after
- 6:29Speaker 1: September or something like that. October. So the other day
- 6:35Speaker 1: the IG Live happens with Joe and Royce and then
- 6:39Speaker 1: Joelle comes on. You were on a flight, right, Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I was on a flight. You were in the area.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You probably would have been on there as well, right.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I tried to get in there, though I would even
- 6:46Speaker 1: I would even gather to say that that conversation would
- 6:49Speaker 1: have probably been a lot more measured if you were
- 6:51Speaker 1: a part of it, because I feel like you're you're
- 6:53Speaker 1: kind of I just know you. Yeah. Now, there were
- 6:59Speaker 1: certain aspects of that conversation where I could kind of
- 7:01Speaker 1: see everyone's perspective right when we when we think of
- 7:06Speaker 1: like like, did you guys ever actually hear Joe say no?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Or was it like some hearsay because he said he
- 7:13Speaker 1: never turned down the deal? And the thing that Royce
- 7:16Speaker 1: kept bringing out was when did we When did we
- 7:18Speaker 1: say no? Over and over and over and then there
- 7:21Speaker 1: was just a lot of back and forth. Royce is
- 7:24Speaker 1: calling Joel a liar, Joel's calling them like why are
- 7:27Speaker 1: y'all lying? What? Like? Is there any chance that there
- 7:31Speaker 1: was muddled communication or there was, because I mean, all
- 7:36Speaker 1: four of you guys, from what I know, are stand
- 7:37Speaker 1: up guys who would not lie on each other. Yea,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I think that. Can you kind of give me some
- 7:43Speaker 1: context on where some of the you're a liar? Why
- 7:46Speaker 1: the fuck are you lying? Well, you're lying? When did
- 7:48Speaker 1: I turn a depth like that is kind of where
- 7:51Speaker 1: it's like to me, it's like, Okay, there's a huge
- 7:53Speaker 1: disconnect on each side of what actually happened, right, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: it's it's I feel like, to be honest, they were
- 8:04Speaker 1: kind of put in a position. Who's that Joe and Royce? Okay,
- 8:10Speaker 1: they didn't know that this album was coming out, so
- 8:16Speaker 1: I kind of afforded them, you know, a little elbow
- 8:21Speaker 1: room to be emotional and you know, try to address
- 8:29Speaker 1: it in the best way that they could being caught
- 8:31Speaker 1: off guard like that. You know what I'm saying now,
- 8:37Speaker 1: within that I'm trying to say that, you know, maybe
- 8:41Speaker 1: that's the reason that the story doesn't add up. You
- 8:45Speaker 1: see what I'm saying, because it's like, yo, what are
- 8:48Speaker 1: we going to say? You feel me? But point blank
- 8:52Speaker 1: no fact, no opinions, no no lies, no just straight facts.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I brought the deal to the table, Okay. I told
- 9:01Speaker 1: the guys, I need to get on a phone call
- 9:03Speaker 1: with all of them. I couldn't get in contact with
- 9:08Speaker 1: Joe because Joe said he never actually saw a deal, right,
- 9:11Speaker 1: Joe never called me. So so I got on Twitter
- 9:17Speaker 1: and I said, hey, guys, cause I talked to my supporters.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You're very active on Twitter on Twitter very much, so
- 9:24Speaker 1: I say, hey, guys, I didn't tell him about the deal.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I'm just like, yo, y'all want to see the gang
- 9:29Speaker 1: back together. I'm giving everybody forty eight hours to call me. Okay,
- 9:33Speaker 1: forty eight hours went by. Race hit me, yo, what's
- 9:37Speaker 1: going on. That's when I say, Yo, this is what's
- 9:39Speaker 1: going on. I got this deal. It's it's a great
- 9:41Speaker 1: opportunity for us. That's ownership involved. You know, we're gonna
- 9:44Speaker 1: be able to do our thing, roll it out how
- 9:46Speaker 1: we want to roll it out. Everything is laid out,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know. We good, all right, we just need to
- 9:52Speaker 1: all get on the phone. So he calls Joe. All right,
- 9:56Speaker 1: So Joe, I don't want to do it. Okay, Joe
- 10:02Speaker 1: calls Joel, Man, what's Crooked doing on Twitter? He got
- 10:06Speaker 1: everybody in my telling me to call him? Yeah, right right,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Well he got this deal, Joe, and YadA, YadA, YadA. Well,
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't want to do the deal, and I don't
- 10:15Speaker 1: want to be the one that ship on cook right
- 10:17Speaker 1: now about this deal. So I'm gonna call I'm gonna
- 10:19Speaker 1: think about it, but I'm gonna call Crook in a
- 10:21Speaker 1: couple hours. And that this was related to you from
- 10:24Speaker 1: Royce from from Joel told me that to expect a
- 10:28Speaker 1: call from Joe in an hour, and he was gonna
- 10:32Speaker 1: tell me why he didn't want to do the deal.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Assuming you never got the call. Never got the call.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Royce called me a couple of times. I remember, like
- 10:41Speaker 1: it was yesterday. I was getting the COVID test because
- 10:43Speaker 1: I was going to Hawaii. I was at the airport
- 10:46Speaker 1: and he said, Yo, So Joe said, he don't think
- 10:50Speaker 1: that's a good deal. You know the thing the deal
- 10:55Speaker 1: memo points that I kind of conveyed to Royce. Royce
- 10:58Speaker 1: told Joe the advance amount, yeah, all that shit, percentages whatever.
- 11:06Speaker 1: So I said, well, I'll tell you what. Royce, tell
- 11:12Speaker 1: Joe to call me. We'll all get on the phone,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and whatever Joe wants, we'll give it to him. Because
- 11:18Speaker 1: I got juice like that with the people that I'm
- 11:20Speaker 1: working with people, so we have full contexts. Who are
- 11:23Speaker 1: the people that offer the deal. Well, one of my
- 11:26Speaker 1: business partners has distribution through every major that there is,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and he's a business partner of mine outside of music too,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and I've been doing business with him. He's like a
- 11:36Speaker 1: brother to me. This guy was in a position where
- 11:40Speaker 1: he wanted it bankroll the situation. He could bankroll it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: He could if you just wanted to bankroll it yourself,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know, you could just use the whatever. So he had,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but he was going to bankroll it. So based on
- 11:54Speaker 1: what those deal points where Joe was, Joe said he
- 11:58Speaker 1: didn't want to do it, okay, And I told Royce
- 12:01Speaker 1: to give me a call. I can get Joe whatever
- 12:03Speaker 1: he wants to get put into the paperwork, but I'm
- 12:05Speaker 1: not going to go back and forth and you know,
- 12:07Speaker 1: with the attorneys and let's see this, and let's see this.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Just tell me what you want. We've all been in
- 12:11Speaker 1: the game past twenty some years. We know what contracts
- 12:13Speaker 1: look like. Tell me exactly what you want. We'll put
- 12:16Speaker 1: it in the contract and then we'll start from there.
- 12:18Speaker 1: We'll start from where you want, Joe, wherever you want,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And I was doing that
- 12:22Speaker 1: honestly as a courtesy to Royce, because I got love
- 12:25Speaker 1: for Royce, you know what I mean. Already was at
- 12:28Speaker 1: a point where this was my last time ever trying
- 12:30Speaker 1: to do business with Joe Button again. So I got
- 12:33Speaker 1: love for Royce. So I said, you know what, as
- 12:35Speaker 1: a courtesy, we'll do that, you know what I mean,
- 12:37Speaker 1: to try to see if we can get the fans
- 12:40Speaker 1: this last album. So you know, he was like, all right, man, y'all,
- 12:44Speaker 1: y'all gotta talk about it. I'm like, yeah, because he's
- 12:47Speaker 1: being the middle man. Joe was using Royce as a
- 12:50Speaker 1: middleman to communicate with me. I didn't like that because Joe,
- 12:53Speaker 1: because Royce is a general, and I start feeling like,
- 12:56Speaker 1: why is he trying to use this man as a
- 12:57Speaker 1: foot soldier. You know what I'm saying, This do is
- 13:00Speaker 1: a general. All men are created equal. We all should
- 13:02Speaker 1: be on the phone together. It's no reason you shouldn't
- 13:04Speaker 1: be calling me right now. So he didn't call. He
- 13:07Speaker 1: never called. Weeks went by, months went by, and it
- 13:10Speaker 1: was like everybody just went back to their corners and
- 13:12Speaker 1: I never even heard back about the deal, you know,
- 13:14Speaker 1: none of that stuff. It was just over, man. So
- 13:17Speaker 1: you know, and once Royce said that he didn't want
- 13:21Speaker 1: to do it as a three man crew, which he's
- 13:24Speaker 1: totally entitled to. Right. Once he said that, it was like,
- 13:27Speaker 1: all right, well, this shit is over. You know what
- 13:30Speaker 1: I'm saying. I don't think. I don't think that what
- 13:35Speaker 1: I could have communicated better to Royce because as a friend,
- 13:40Speaker 1: I could have communicated it better to him that I'm
- 13:44Speaker 1: only talking to Joe for you. I would prefer to
- 13:50Speaker 1: move slaughter House forward without Joe because Joe is retired
- 13:53Speaker 1: and there's been a lot of snags dealing with Joe
- 13:57Speaker 1: in the business side of things. So I would rather
- 13:59Speaker 1: move slaughter House for without Joe. But as a courtesy
- 14:02Speaker 1: to my friend, and I know you fuck with Joe,
- 14:06Speaker 1: and I know you have a different relationship with Joe. Yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: that's fine, bring Joe to the table, But I don't
- 14:12Speaker 1: think that as a friend. I don't think that I
- 14:15Speaker 1: communicated that enough. He knows where I'm at, But I
- 14:20Speaker 1: feel like he felt like he could massage the situation.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Crook got love for me, Joe got love for me.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I could probably be the glue to keep all that
- 14:27Speaker 1: shit together, you know what I mean. But he didn't
- 14:29Speaker 1: know that I was at my last final breaking point
- 14:32Speaker 1: with Joe. With Joe as far as the slaughter House
- 14:35Speaker 1: situation goes, now, you had said that, to be fair,
- 14:41Speaker 1: Joe and Royce did not know this album was coming. Yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: they didn't know. Can you take any responsibility in keeping
- 14:51Speaker 1: them in the loop or did you not feel like
- 14:53Speaker 1: you needed to because this was not a Slaughterhouse album.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It's not a Slaughterhouse album. I'm not kept in the
- 14:59Speaker 1: loop with no of their albums that they dropping. And
- 15:03Speaker 1: to be honest with you, it was a situation where
- 15:06Speaker 1: I said, you know what, we need to tell our
- 15:08Speaker 1: story and we don't need any distractions. We need to go.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Maybe if you give them the heads up, the distractions
- 15:15Speaker 1: start coming from behind the scenes and you guys aren't
- 15:17Speaker 1: able to focus on your task. Absolutely, there's no way.
- 15:22Speaker 1: We had to take that energy when we got off
- 15:24Speaker 1: the phone, that heartbreak, that heartbreak, that energy that we
- 15:28Speaker 1: had that this shit is over. We had to take
- 15:31Speaker 1: that into the into the booth. That had to go
- 15:34Speaker 1: into the booth. That was the energy that needed to
- 15:36Speaker 1: go into the booth to create this for the fans,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And all we talked so much,
- 15:43Speaker 1: Like Willie d say, no more talk. We talked so much.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It got to the first ten years, it got to
- 15:50Speaker 1: the point where talking and no actions was just I
- 15:55Speaker 1: had it up to here, man, I couldn't I couldn't talk.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I couldn't talk one more time saying with the with
- 16:00Speaker 1: the slaughter House situation in general, and I'm sure fans
- 16:02Speaker 1: feel the same way. Fan. I mean, listen, you guys
- 16:04Speaker 1: have a core fan base that it's there, right, But
- 16:07Speaker 1: I do feel like over time, the fan base, the
- 16:10Speaker 1: excitement for a new Slaughterhouse, I'm just getting smaller and
- 16:13Speaker 1: smaller and smaller because it's just been so long ten years. Brother, Like,
- 16:18Speaker 1: think about that. Put yourself in the in the fans
- 16:22Speaker 1: shoes for two seconds. And I don't think this is
- 16:24Speaker 1: what the group ever did. I don't think they really
- 16:28Speaker 1: specifically what Joe and Royce are saying. I don't watch
- 16:31Speaker 1: everything that they say because I'm not about to fall
- 16:35Speaker 1: into that type of trap and that low vibration energy
- 16:39Speaker 1: and you know, calling names and you know liars and
- 16:43Speaker 1: all this type of shit. I'm not even trying to
- 16:45Speaker 1: fall into noh, none of that. But people send me clips,
- 16:48Speaker 1: people tell me, hey, this, this is what happened in
- 16:50Speaker 1: all this. You know, put put yourself in a fan
- 16:53Speaker 1: put yourself in the fan shoes for a minute. You've
- 16:55Speaker 1: been waiting on one of your favorite groups in the
- 16:57Speaker 1: world to drop an album for ten years now. Behind
- 17:02Speaker 1: the scenes, I've been taking flights to New York go
- 17:04Speaker 1: talk to Paul Rosenberg. I've been taking flights to Detroit,
- 17:07Speaker 1: talking to EM, talking to to Royce. How can we
- 17:10Speaker 1: put this back together? You know what I mean? And
- 17:13Speaker 1: it's not happened in ten years, So it's like, you
- 17:17Speaker 1: know what you're telling me, You want me to wait again.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And then I saw something where roy said that we
- 17:25Speaker 1: weren't waiting on anybody. That that's a lie. So I
- 17:28Speaker 1: need to address all this stuff because whenever they say that,
- 17:32Speaker 1: I just come back with the truth. You know what
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, you can attack my character, my integrity,
- 17:37Speaker 1: you could try to assassinate it and say that I'm
- 17:39Speaker 1: a liar and I'm doing this for money and all
- 17:41Speaker 1: this other type of shit, But I'm gonna just keep
- 17:43Speaker 1: on hitting back with truth. We started off slaughter House
- 17:47Speaker 1: in the early days, waiting on Joe, you know what
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm saying. Like when we first got our deal with Shady,
- 17:52Speaker 1: we had a song called Session one on one of
- 17:57Speaker 1: EM's projects. He was trying to, you know, put the
- 18:00Speaker 1: group on one of his projects. I think it was
- 18:02Speaker 1: gonna be a bonus cut or something on one of
- 18:04Speaker 1: the albums, and you know, we're new to the label.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Let me share my platform with the group. So we
- 18:10Speaker 1: do Session one and all the Slaughterhouse fans know Joe
- 18:16Speaker 1: Budden isn't on Session one. Well, why isn't Joe on
- 18:18Speaker 1: Session one? Joe was signed to another label. He was
- 18:23Speaker 1: caught up in some paperwork something. He was signed to
- 18:27Speaker 1: a Malcolm Digital, okay, and they called over to Shady like, hey,
- 18:35Speaker 1: we have him under contract. You have to get a
- 18:37Speaker 1: clearance from us to have him appear on that song. Right,
- 18:41Speaker 1: So we're like, wait a minute, because all of us
- 18:44Speaker 1: went in as supposedly free agents to sign this deal
- 18:48Speaker 1: with Shady and come to find out Joe was under paperwork.
- 18:52Speaker 1: He said that they forged his signature and that wasn't him,
- 18:57Speaker 1: and the group was put on the shelf for a minute.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It while he was fighting a Malcolm Digit on court
- 19:05Speaker 1: and we were waiting on Joe because we couldn't move forward.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Now here we are with a brand new deal with
- 19:10Speaker 1: Shady Records, and we can't even really move forward as
- 19:14Speaker 1: a group because we got to wait on Joe in
- 19:16Speaker 1: court and that took months. Let me tell you that
- 19:20Speaker 1: took months. Right So, after the the signature expert determined
- 19:26Speaker 1: that that was his signature on the on the contract,
- 19:29Speaker 1: we was able to figure out how you know, to
- 19:31Speaker 1: matter forward after that, you know what I mean? And
- 19:35Speaker 1: that was that was the first time waiting on Joe
- 19:38Speaker 1: to give the fans slaughter house. A lot of other
- 19:42Speaker 1: scenarios like that kept happening, you feel me, So Joe
- 19:48Speaker 1: related scenarios where we're waiting on Joe. Okay, So when
- 19:52Speaker 1: when when Roy says, we don't wait on Joe, Just like,
- 19:54Speaker 1: wait a minute. What about when we were Glasshouse was
- 19:57Speaker 1: sitting around collecting dust and we were all on a
- 20:00Speaker 1: conference call with Paul Rosenberg and all of the Shady staff,
- 20:03Speaker 1: and we say, hey, guys, when we're gonna get back
- 20:05Speaker 1: together to do the album. And we're like, okay, let's
- 20:08Speaker 1: finish the album in the summer. And Joe's like, nah,
- 20:10Speaker 1: we can't do the summer. You know, I gotta throw
- 20:12Speaker 1: pool parties and shit and I gotta do this other
- 20:14Speaker 1: shit and all that. Like okay, so we'll wait on that.
- 20:18Speaker 1: We'll reconvene in September or October. Hit him September October. Nah,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I still ain't ready waiting on jail. So everybody was
- 20:27Speaker 1: on the same page to finish Glasshouse except Joie for
- 20:31Speaker 1: a while. For a while, you know what, I'm saying
- 20:34Speaker 1: Royce's studio was always open. See Royce, I feel he's
- 20:37Speaker 1: always down to work if everybody is on board. But
- 20:41Speaker 1: if everybody's not on board, he's gonna do his own thing,
- 20:44Speaker 1: which makes sense, you feel me. I mean, that's just logical.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It was always us waiting on Joe to be on board.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And when I brought this last and final opportunity to
- 20:57Speaker 1: the table, and you're telling me that I got to
- 21:00Speaker 1: wait on Joe, Joe doesn't like it. He wants to
- 21:03Speaker 1: do some other kind of deal. Well, what kind of
- 21:05Speaker 1: deal does Joe want to do? Because all of a
- 21:07Speaker 1: sudden there's deals that he wants to do. But for
- 21:11Speaker 1: ten years there's been nothing. It's been crickets. But now
- 21:14Speaker 1: that I have this, now he wants to do another
- 21:17Speaker 1: kind of deal. And it's like, okay, well what kind
- 21:19Speaker 1: of deal does he want to do? He wants to
- 21:21Speaker 1: finance it. That's what I heard him talking about when
- 21:24Speaker 1: I did catch a piece of the live They want
- 21:26Speaker 1: to he wanted to finance it. He's like, Yo, it
- 21:29Speaker 1: takes a lot of trust to go into that type
- 21:32Speaker 1: of business with somebody. You know what I'm saying, You
- 21:35Speaker 1: gotta have like if I was to if we would
- 21:40Speaker 1: have to all for financing one it could never be
- 21:44Speaker 1: just one person, and that one person could definitely not
- 21:47Speaker 1: be mister Joe. But I'm sorry, you know, he don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: have that type of credit with me when it comes
- 21:53Speaker 1: to the business. You know what I'm saying now, I'm
- 21:55Speaker 1: just speaking on slaughter house business. He doesn't have the
- 21:59Speaker 1: credit with me for me to say, oh yeah, cool,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you can finance it, Joe. That's not gonna work. So
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't know, whatever kind of deal that they envisioned
- 22:09Speaker 1: for the group, it wasn't gonna work with me anyway.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So we come to a stalemate. He don't want to
- 22:15Speaker 1: do the deal I'm bringing, and I'm not doing the
- 22:17Speaker 1: deal his way. So it all leads to slaughter House
- 22:20Speaker 1: being over. I think to a lot of people. Got
- 22:23Speaker 1: to understand it is like, after ten years of conversations,
- 22:31Speaker 1: hitting a wall that involved one person. Maybe you know,
- 22:36Speaker 1: under normal circumstances, yourself and Joelle would have at least
- 22:39Speaker 1: kept Royce in the loop. But at a certain point
- 22:42Speaker 1: in time when the frustration is at a level where
- 22:46Speaker 1: it's like, you know what, we know we've done this
- 22:48Speaker 1: over and over and over. Here we just got to
- 22:51Speaker 1: do what we gotta do. It just is what it is, like,
- 22:54Speaker 1: it just is what it is at this point, and
- 22:56Speaker 1: it's like, you know, I was in my kitchen right
- 23:01Speaker 1: we were talking, me and Royce and Joel, and I said, Royce,
- 23:05Speaker 1: if Joe ain't gonna rap, because he's not gonna rap,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I didn't even believe Joe will rapp. Yeah, I'm like, Yo,
- 23:13Speaker 1: are you down or do the Three Man Crew? Don't
- 23:17Speaker 1: say that, crook, don't put that in the universe. He's
- 23:20Speaker 1: gonna he's gonna be, he's gonna do do the right thing.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So we keep talking for fifteen twenty minutes and we're
- 23:26Speaker 1: about to hang up the phone. I say, listen, Rayce,
- 23:28Speaker 1: I just really need to hear this. I know you said,
- 23:31Speaker 1: don't put in the universe. I'm not trying to put
- 23:32Speaker 1: any negativity, no negative vibes out there. But if Joe
- 23:37Speaker 1: isn't with this, are you gonna do the three Man Crew?
- 23:43Speaker 1: And He's like, slaughter house is four people, So what
- 23:47Speaker 1: do you think that means? Call that means no. It
- 23:50Speaker 1: means no. Without saying no, that means no. He's slarter
- 23:53Speaker 1: houses for people. So technically, neither of you are lying
- 23:57Speaker 1: because technically, well, I didn't say, well, I'm gonna tell
- 24:01Speaker 1: you list like this. I'm Joel was like, no, no, crook.
- 24:06Speaker 1: He did say Slaughterhouse is not for people. But I
- 24:08Speaker 1: was on the call he said no, okay, and I
- 24:11Speaker 1: was like, I was just so clouded and my mind
- 24:15Speaker 1: got clouded when he said that, because it meant so
- 24:18Speaker 1: much to me that when he said slaughter house is
- 24:22Speaker 1: for people, and I'm like, Yo, this is over. So
- 24:26Speaker 1: I kind of blacked out on the phone, like all
- 24:30Speaker 1: this fucking work that I put in, all this shit
- 24:32Speaker 1: that we built together, this shit is really over. Was
- 24:35Speaker 1: there ever an idea to replace Joe? People always said, hey,
- 24:41Speaker 1: won't you replace Joe? You know, won't you put him
- 24:44Speaker 1: in that slot? Let him go? Was the other guy
- 24:46Speaker 1: who was supposed to be part of the group. Was
- 24:48Speaker 1: it Nino Blessed? Was that his name? Nino bless I
- 24:50Speaker 1: remember he was like on that first Slaughterhouse record that
- 24:53Speaker 1: was like not even a slaughteruse. Yeah, shut out Nino
- 24:55Speaker 1: bless you know what I mean? Like, he's very instrumental
- 24:58Speaker 1: into how this whole thing came together. He's part of
- 25:01Speaker 1: the story, you know what I mean? And I just
- 25:03Speaker 1: think that. You know, everybody who was part of the
- 25:07Speaker 1: story needs to mention now, you know. So how about this, Like,
- 25:11Speaker 1: I know you and Royce better than I know Joelle
- 25:14Speaker 1: and Joe. I know you guys could be men of
- 25:16Speaker 1: high integrity, high character. You guys have the longevity you've
- 25:20Speaker 1: had in this industry for a reason. Never know bullshit
- 25:23Speaker 1: involving y'all's names, right, you know, I can understand the
- 25:28Speaker 1: frustration of Royce's side saying, Hey, that's that's our logo
- 25:33Speaker 1: that you guys are putting on the front of that,
- 25:35Speaker 1: and you guys just bombard us with this album that
- 25:38Speaker 1: I had no idea was coming, and it's our logo
- 25:41Speaker 1: on fire. You know, he has to me, he has
- 25:45Speaker 1: he has a right to be emotional about that and
- 25:47Speaker 1: to feel a way about that. Would you agree? Absolutely?
- 25:52Speaker 1: And and like you guys obviously know that, like you said,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you said, you said, I I can give I knew
- 25:57Speaker 1: that this. I didn't give them a heads up, so
- 25:59Speaker 1: I understood that they that there's gonna be an emotional reaction,
- 26:02Speaker 1: and you kind of counted for that already, right, No,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I give them room to react to that. You know
- 26:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you know, I'm watching how I'm watching
- 26:12Speaker 1: the reactions, you know what I'm saying, because if it
- 26:16Speaker 1: was me, you know, but I feel differently. But if
- 26:20Speaker 1: it was me, I don't care. They can use the
- 26:22Speaker 1: Slaughterhouse logo for whatever they want to use it for,
- 26:25Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like I said, I owns
- 26:26Speaker 1: that logo. Well, what happened was they're saying that ownership
- 26:30Speaker 1: was relinquished to the group later. I haven't seen no
- 26:34Speaker 1: paperwork stating that we got jerked in the beginning. You know,
- 26:39Speaker 1: somebody owned it that was not a part of the group,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you feel me, So somebody on the management team owned it,
- 26:50Speaker 1: to my knowledge, someone who was a part of the
- 26:52Speaker 1: group's management groups management, you know what I mean? So
- 26:57Speaker 1: right off, rip that should have been that's that's a
- 26:59Speaker 1: rip flat. But I heard that they made it write
- 27:02Speaker 1: and relinquished it to the group when we went to Shady.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I've never seen the paperwork on that.
- 27:07Speaker 1: When I go and look look up the trademark, I
- 27:10Speaker 1: don't see our names anywhere mentioned on the trademark. So
- 27:15Speaker 1: I don't know who wants it and feel some type
- 27:18Speaker 1: of way somebody would just see you yeah, and I
- 27:20Speaker 1: would just take it off the cover and keep going,
- 27:23Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, because this story is gonna
- 27:25Speaker 1: be told. They can't stop it. They can't, you know.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I feel like they have efforts to try to do
- 27:32Speaker 1: damage control over something that they haven't even heard yet,
- 27:35Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And it's like, you know,
- 27:41Speaker 1: this story needs to be told for us on our fans.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I think the fans need closure, and I think y'all
- 27:47Speaker 1: need clothes. I need Hella closure, keV. I'm gonna tell
- 27:49Speaker 1: you because guess what, every fucking time you do an
- 27:52Speaker 1: interview or Joelle does an interview, or Royce does an interviewer,
- 27:55Speaker 1: everyone's asking what's up with what's up with glass House?
- 27:58Speaker 1: What's up with slaughter House's It'll never go away until
- 28:01Speaker 1: you just close the chapter and say, burn the book
- 28:04Speaker 1: you have to. And that's what I had to do, man,
- 28:07Speaker 1: like a lot of people like you burning the shirts
- 28:09Speaker 1: up on a video. Now listen, I'm trying to get
- 28:12Speaker 1: this low vibration shit out of my life forever. I'm
- 28:15Speaker 1: in a whole nother place. I'm six years sober. I
- 28:18Speaker 1: haven't I've been, you know, in master classes. I've been
- 28:21Speaker 1: you know, trying to better myself, get to get myself
- 28:24Speaker 1: into a better headspace, just be a better human being. Period.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I need this negative triggering shit the fuck out of
- 28:30Speaker 1: my life for the forever. I don't want to go
- 28:32Speaker 1: back to it. They could do whatever they want with it,
- 28:35Speaker 1: and that was my that was my intention. So just
- 28:38Speaker 1: me symbolically tearing slaughter House down out of my life,
- 28:44Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Me personally, if they want
- 28:46Speaker 1: to uphold it and they want to put it on
- 28:48Speaker 1: a pedestal, they could do that all day and they're
- 28:50Speaker 1: not gonna hear a peep from me, you know what
- 28:52Speaker 1: I mean. But me personally, I had to get it
- 28:54Speaker 1: out of my life because every single time we spoke
- 28:57Speaker 1: about it, talked about it, try to do it again,
- 28:59Speaker 1: and it did happen, And all the interviews and the
- 29:02Speaker 1: post a fucking piece of toast on Instagram and people
- 29:05Speaker 1: still like, Yo, what's up That toast is cool? But
- 29:07Speaker 1: what's up with slaughter House? You know? It's just too much. Man,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I'm over it. It needs to go, you know what
- 29:12Speaker 1: I'm saying. I mean, listen, I respect it, man, I
- 29:14Speaker 1: respect it. I think. I mean, like I said, I
- 29:16Speaker 1: understand everyone's kind of side. I think that you know,
- 29:22Speaker 1: the one thing I saw, I just saw Rory. Did
- 29:23Speaker 1: you see Rory and Maul? And so they kind of
- 29:27Speaker 1: talked about what's going on in their podcast and Mal
- 29:32Speaker 1: was like, now, fuck that they can they they should
- 29:35Speaker 1: be able to do that album, like you know what
- 29:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. And the one thing that like they said,
- 29:39Speaker 1: and I know that they're probably closer to the situation
- 29:43Speaker 1: than a lot of people are, right, absolutely, especially Mall.
- 29:48Speaker 1: You guys weren't friends, is what they said. Them guys
- 29:51Speaker 1: ain't friends. They were in a group together. That don't
- 29:54Speaker 1: mean that they're friends. Yeah, I was friends with it
- 29:57Speaker 1: was it was odd. I was friends with Joe, Joel
- 30:00Speaker 1: and Royce. You know what I'm saying. Royce was friends
- 30:03Speaker 1: with me, and Joe saying Joel was friends with me
- 30:09Speaker 1: and Royce, and then some happened to that dynamic between
- 30:12Speaker 1: him and Royce. So it was just like me and
- 30:14Speaker 1: Joel was friends. It was just really really really odd man.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And it's just it might be the oddest concoction for
- 30:21Speaker 1: an actual group that toured together, that put albums out
- 30:24Speaker 1: together in terms of like how it was formed. Right,
- 30:28Speaker 1: there was really no you guys never had a real
- 30:31Speaker 1: origin story. It's not like you guys grew up together.
- 30:34Speaker 1: We think of Grizzela, we think of Wu Tang. All
- 30:35Speaker 1: these people grew up together, so you know the downfalls
- 30:40Speaker 1: of those groups. It was a lot of emotional family
- 30:43Speaker 1: based shit with you guys. It was listen, man, the
- 30:46Speaker 1: fans wanted this. We did it. Would you say you start?
- 30:49Speaker 1: Because I think, like I always talked to groups. There's
- 30:54Speaker 1: a group out of LA called Shoreline Mafia. Yeah, shout
- 30:58Speaker 1: out to h o Gez And he had said that
- 31:00Speaker 1: like when they did their first tour together, he started
- 31:03Speaker 1: to kind of notice the cracks in the foundation because
- 31:07Speaker 1: they had to be around each other a lot, Right,
- 31:10Speaker 1: your guys' first tour was it the Tech nine tour?
- 31:12Speaker 1: I think that was our first victory. Yeah. Did you
- 31:15Speaker 1: notice back then, just being on the road together that
- 31:18Speaker 1: there was that there was some red flags? Well, when
- 31:22Speaker 1: I first we first did our thing at best Buy
- 31:26Speaker 1: And I don't want listen, I'm not here to assassinate
- 31:28Speaker 1: Joe character, So i'ma I'm gonna get off Joe. You
- 31:30Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I'm gonna just say this. We
- 31:33Speaker 1: did our when we did our our first n story
- 31:36Speaker 1: at best Buy on the East Coast. You know, somebody
- 31:40Speaker 1: told me, whatever you do, don't let Joe be Joe.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And I didn't know what that meant because we were
- 31:49Speaker 1: relatively brand new to each other. You know, I didn't
- 31:52Speaker 1: know what that meant, you know, but I found out,
- 31:55Speaker 1: you see what I'm saying, yeah, rather quickly, and and
- 31:58Speaker 1: you just got people who have two different types of vibes,
- 32:01Speaker 1: two different types of mindsets, two different types of you know,
- 32:05Speaker 1: what their moral compass is and things of that nature.
- 32:07Speaker 1: It's just, you know, it is what it is. So
- 32:10Speaker 1: it was very hard for us to even you know,
- 32:13Speaker 1: rock like that. And it was almost like a lot
- 32:16Speaker 1: of times, dog, I stayed I stayed silent because I
- 32:22Speaker 1: had love for Royce, you know what I mean. So
- 32:26Speaker 1: a lot of times I was like, yo, I'm a
- 32:28Speaker 1: chill because I had love for Royce and I understood
- 32:31Speaker 1: that Royce had a different relationship with Joe. But Royce
- 32:34Speaker 1: knew because sometimes I was like, Yo, this dude, this
- 32:36Speaker 1: dude wilding right now, you know what I mean, And
- 32:39Speaker 1: me and him have a conversation. Glue. He was the
- 32:44Speaker 1: group for between that between Joe and the rest of
- 32:47Speaker 1: the group. Yeah, yeah, I mean and the and the
- 32:50Speaker 1: and the thing is now, don't get me wrong, Joe
- 32:52Speaker 1: brings a lot to the table. Of course, he rose
- 32:58Speaker 1: in his bag. He's one of the one, he's one
- 33:00Speaker 1: of them one. So he brings, he brings, he brings
- 33:03Speaker 1: all that to the table, you know what I mean.
- 33:04Speaker 1: But you know that's dope from a fan perspective. But
- 33:09Speaker 1: when you have to be inside a group of someone
- 33:11Speaker 1: you have to be doing business. You have to do
- 33:13Speaker 1: business with somebody, you have to be you know, shared
- 33:15Speaker 1: the same quarters with somebody, it's different, you know what
- 33:18Speaker 1: I mean. And and uh, it wasn't gonna work. It
- 33:21Speaker 1: just wasn't gonna work. So where did you, like, at
- 33:24Speaker 1: what point in time did you reach your break because
- 33:26Speaker 1: you had said earlier that you had already had you
- 33:27Speaker 1: had already reached your breakup point with Joe when you
- 33:29Speaker 1: would kind of okay, I'm gonna give it one more go.
- 33:32Speaker 1: When did you initially reach that break up point with Joe? Well,
- 33:36Speaker 1: Royce wanted everybody to come to Heaven in Detroit, his
- 33:39Speaker 1: studio and do some joints for Glasshouse, and we all
- 33:48Speaker 1: scheduled it, said, I will be there. You know. This
- 33:53Speaker 1: was some years ago too, and I flew out there
- 33:58Speaker 1: and I was the only one that showed up. Wow,
- 34:03Speaker 1: you see what I'm saying. And I'm like, where, what's
- 34:06Speaker 1: going on? Where's everybody else? So I called Joel where
- 34:09Speaker 1: are you at? He was like, oh, crook man, you
- 34:12Speaker 1: down there. I should have called you before you jumped
- 34:15Speaker 1: on the plane. Joe told me he wasn't going, so
- 34:16Speaker 1: I didn't get on the plane. I'm figuring, if he
- 34:18Speaker 1: not going with me, waste your time. And I said,
- 34:21Speaker 1: but why did he say that? And he was like
- 34:23Speaker 1: He's like, I don't know. He just said he wasn't
- 34:25Speaker 1: going at the last minute. And I was like, wow.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So now here I am in Detroit. It's snowing like
- 34:31Speaker 1: a motherfucker. It's cold as shit, and I'm standing outside
- 34:34Speaker 1: smoking a fucking cigar with fucking snowflakes on my beard,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and shit, like, what the fuck am I gonna do now?
- 34:40Speaker 1: So me and Boyce ended up doing like nine or
- 34:43Speaker 1: ten joints ourselves, just using the time to create, you
- 34:48Speaker 1: know what I mean, songs you might not never hear,
- 34:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And uh, that was it
- 34:53Speaker 1: for me. On my plane ride back. I was like,
- 34:55Speaker 1: you know what, I'm never doing this. I'm not doing
- 34:58Speaker 1: this with that type of energy. And I was only willing,
- 35:04Speaker 1: like I said, for Royce and funny enough, you know,
- 35:09Speaker 1: I know, I know how Royce feels. I'm very considerate
- 35:12Speaker 1: of other people's feelings, but sometimes you gotta consider your
- 35:16Speaker 1: own feelings and it was time for me to shut
- 35:20Speaker 1: down shop and move on. Yeah, I think, like I said, like,
- 35:24Speaker 1: I understand the perspective of like Joe and Royce saying, hey,
- 35:29Speaker 1: that's our logo, Slaughterhouse is ours too. You're kind of
- 35:32Speaker 1: putting out this album kind of you know, telling his story,
- 35:36Speaker 1: telling our story for us, and also using telling this
- 35:40Speaker 1: using the group's imagery, using I'm not telling this story,
- 35:43Speaker 1: kind of using Slaughterhouse as like the focal point of
- 35:45Speaker 1: this project. So I understand their perspective. Like in my
- 35:49Speaker 1: like like I'm sure if I had a fucking the
- 35:53Speaker 1: bootleg Head podcast and my producer Cook started a podcast
- 35:56Speaker 1: talking about the behind the scenes and it was like
- 35:58Speaker 1: my name, my my logo X style, I'd be like, yo,
- 36:01Speaker 1: what the fuck? But it wasn't. Maybe there was no
- 36:04Speaker 1: disrespect intended, but I could understand that perspective. But on
- 36:08Speaker 1: the other hand, it's like if you guys knew, like, look,
- 36:12Speaker 1: fuck it, whatever happens happens. We're lighting this bitch on fire,
- 36:15Speaker 1: and I need this shit off of me. I gotta
- 36:17Speaker 1: get this ship off me. It's like both I think
- 36:20Speaker 1: both sides. Okay, So tell me this. If you do
- 36:22Speaker 1: a documentary on Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen's gonna be in
- 36:26Speaker 1: that bitch true. And I think that it's kind of
- 36:29Speaker 1: a similar thing to where you think of like how
- 36:31Speaker 1: Scotty Pippen got mad about the last dance. Yeah, so
- 36:34Speaker 1: I understand why he was mad because he didn't really
- 36:36Speaker 1: get to fully explain what happened. So that's what Scottie
- 36:40Speaker 1: Pippen goes and makes his last dance. Joe Royce go musically,
- 36:44Speaker 1: go talk to the fans, right, do do whatever you want.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Maybe that's what their IG life was. No, man, that's
- 36:50Speaker 1: not gonna work. It's it's it's art over over live,
- 36:54Speaker 1: over lives, his art over IG lives. Bro, what did
- 36:56Speaker 1: you think of IG live in terms of because a
- 36:59Speaker 1: lot of were making I think a lot of people
- 37:01Speaker 1: took some of the stuff out of context in terms
- 37:03Speaker 1: of the headlines. I saw right like Joe saying that
- 37:07Speaker 1: album can suck my dick. Some people were like, yo,
- 37:09Speaker 1: he told Joe Ortiz, the suck is dick. Yeah. Well yeah,
- 37:12Speaker 1: even though he said the album, I just feel like
- 37:14Speaker 1: that's going too far, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 37:17Speaker 1: there's certain shit you just don't do. But you know
- 37:20Speaker 1: what I think of it, I wanted to get in there,
- 37:22Speaker 1: land landed. I'm in their pressing requests, let me different conversation. Yeah,
- 37:29Speaker 1: it would have been a different conversation because at that
- 37:32Speaker 1: point they were saying that there was no deal, and
- 37:33Speaker 1: then I could have probably got them to admit that
- 37:36Speaker 1: there was a deal and that point they were saying
- 37:38Speaker 1: they never said no. And then you know, later on
- 37:41Speaker 1: Joe did an interview with one of the guys who
- 37:43Speaker 1: I watch all the time on PSA Hip Hop, and
- 37:46Speaker 1: he said, you know, it all boiled down to Crook
- 37:49Speaker 1: wanted to do a deal that Joe didn't want to do.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You know, Joe didn't want to do the deal, so
- 37:54Speaker 1: he did say no. He's admitting now that you know
- 37:56Speaker 1: what I mean, he didn't want to do the deal,
- 37:58Speaker 1: and we it got caught up in semantics like I
- 38:01Speaker 1: never said no, there was never a deal, that's all
- 38:03Speaker 1: I felt like. It felt like themantics. You know there
- 38:06Speaker 1: was a deal. You know you didn't want to do
- 38:08Speaker 1: the deal. Let's get past that, because we can't find
- 38:10Speaker 1: common ground if we don't start off with honesty and truth.
- 38:13Speaker 1: You know, we got to start at honesty and truth
- 38:15Speaker 1: and then try to find common ground. If you're going
- 38:17Speaker 1: to say you know there was no deal, where's the paper?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Of course there was no paper because I said, have
- 38:22Speaker 1: Joe hit me? And he never fucking hit me? So
- 38:24Speaker 1: how can I even put his desires for the deal
- 38:28Speaker 1: in paperwork for him if he's not even gonna call me?
- 38:31Speaker 1: So it's impossible. When was the official release of you
- 38:35Speaker 1: Guys as a group from Shady It was over a
- 38:38Speaker 1: year ago. Over a year ago. Yeah, and again, who
- 38:41Speaker 1: do we do that for? For Joe? Right? I mean,
- 38:45Speaker 1: because really I feel like when Joe was on Everyday
- 38:47Speaker 1: Struggle talking about Eminemli, obviously some of the things he
- 38:51Speaker 1: said I didn't necessarily disagree with, right, But you know,
- 38:55Speaker 1: but if you're Joe Budden and you're signed to your group,
- 38:57Speaker 1: signed to the label, you you might want to make
- 38:59Speaker 1: the business decision to just gotta hold hold back a little,
- 39:03Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, But especially if if your
- 39:05Speaker 1: brother Royce is over there trying, you know, to hold
- 39:09Speaker 1: it together. I was over there too, but let's just
- 39:13Speaker 1: put it on Royce. If Royce was over there trying
- 39:16Speaker 1: to he was trying to put Glasshouse out under the
- 39:21Speaker 1: Shady umbrella the same day when Joe was throwing those
- 39:26Speaker 1: grenades at everything. He was working during that time period
- 39:30Speaker 1: to try to get Glasshouse out. Do you think Joe
- 39:33Speaker 1: knew that? Probably because if he knew that, and yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I know he probably knew it. You know what I'm saying.
- 39:39Speaker 1: He probably knew it. He wanted off Shady. Let me
- 39:42Speaker 1: know if I'm wrong. Glasshouse was supposed to be executive
- 39:45Speaker 1: pretty Jess Blaze or was it executive produced by just Blaze?
- 39:49Speaker 1: And we kind of like formulated this slaughterhouse of producers
- 39:52Speaker 1: of all amazing producers, you know, Justice League, Illmind, Cardiac
- 39:56Speaker 1: was there, you know, man else was in there. It
- 40:01Speaker 1: was it was crazy to see them all making beasts
- 40:04Speaker 1: together like it was just it was amazing. I don't
- 40:09Speaker 1: know if have any of those songs leaked, Some of
- 40:12Speaker 1: the songs we've played pieces bits and pieces and things
- 40:15Speaker 1: like that. But for the most part, there's a whole
- 40:17Speaker 1: album that nobody really ever heard, you know what I'm saying.
- 40:21Speaker 1: And it was easy to finish. Yeah, like you had
- 40:23Speaker 1: enough joints to you could go into what we recorded
- 40:26Speaker 1: and create an album out of that, you know what
- 40:28Speaker 1: I'm saying. Hopefully somebody leak conveniently leaks that ship up. Well,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I thought about the leak man, but it's like, you know,
- 40:35Speaker 1: those producers worked hard, they didn't get paid, you know
- 40:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying, and I'm sure wouldn't mind. Well if
- 40:41Speaker 1: they could reach if they Yeah, if the producers are
- 40:44Speaker 1: on board, then absolutely, but that's on it, you know.
- 40:47Speaker 1: But you know, we don't want to We don't want
- 40:48Speaker 1: to harm anybody business wise. You know, because one of
- 40:51Speaker 1: the beasts went to Ross. You know what I mean.
- 40:55Speaker 1: The song is called I Forgot Suggests Blaze Ross Ross Song. Okay,
- 41:02Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it went one of
- 41:04Speaker 1: the beats went to Ross. So you know, if those
- 41:07Speaker 1: producers can still find a way to eat off those beats,
- 41:10Speaker 1: I would just say someone conveniently who has access to
- 41:13Speaker 1: the album give it to someone else who just conveniently
- 41:16Speaker 1: leaks it and honestly online, and then it's on Reddit,
- 41:18Speaker 1: and then you know, the people who want to hear
- 41:20Speaker 1: it can hear. Hey, it might leak tonight. They might
- 41:22Speaker 1: try to They might try to leak. They might try
- 41:24Speaker 1: to leak it before me and Joel shit drop. Hey
- 41:28Speaker 1: got some real ship? I could see that. So they
- 41:31Speaker 1: could change the subject and ship. Yeah, you can't change
- 41:34Speaker 1: the subject. The fans want closure, bro. I talk to
- 41:37Speaker 1: them every single day on turn Now you're super active.
- 41:40Speaker 1: They want closure, bro. They want to know why. How
- 41:45Speaker 1: you know if we put the fans are the fifth
- 41:47Speaker 1: member of Slaughterhouse. If we ever put them first, Glasshouse
- 41:51Speaker 1: would have came out. Everybody put egoing prior first. That's
- 41:55Speaker 1: why Glasshouse never came out. It's that simple, like if
- 41:58Speaker 1: you had to really it sounds like and again it's
- 42:03Speaker 1: just sounds like if it weren't for Joe Budden, the
- 42:05Speaker 1: album would have been out. Hey, am I crazy? Yo? Listen?
- 42:09Speaker 1: Joe retired. He said it on his podcast. I can
- 42:13Speaker 1: go and do whatever I'm trying to tell you. I
- 42:16Speaker 1: think see. Royce is a music He's a heavy, heavy
- 42:21Speaker 1: music guy, so in his mind he probably has this album.
- 42:25Speaker 1: This this crazy album that he knows that we can
- 42:29Speaker 1: achieve as a group, that he wants to, you know, help,
- 42:35Speaker 1: He wants to paint this picture. He just probably has
- 42:37Speaker 1: so many ideas when it comes to Slaughterhouse that he
- 42:40Speaker 1: wants to do, But what he doesn't understand is is
- 42:43Speaker 1: that it's not gonna get done. Bro. Yeah, I mean
- 42:48Speaker 1: it's ten years. Bro. I feel sad every time I
- 42:51Speaker 1: see him talking about he was gonna get Joe to rap.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, he was never gonna rap. I mean, listen,
- 42:56Speaker 1: race is one of the greatest of all time. Yes, absolutely,
- 42:59Speaker 1: I think when you're Royce and you put out I
- 43:02Speaker 1: mean the Book of Ryan and The Alligatory got nominated
- 43:05Speaker 1: for Rap Album of the Year, probably the two best
- 43:08Speaker 1: bodies of work of his career. Absolutely, I'm not sure
- 43:12Speaker 1: like if your Royce like The Headache or the it's
- 43:16Speaker 1: just a lot, Like it sounds like the whole Slaughterhouse
- 43:18Speaker 1: thing is a lot. It is and anything when there's
- 43:22Speaker 1: four moving parts for four people. Ever, you got a manager.
- 43:25Speaker 1: He's got a manager, he's got a manager. We all
- 43:27Speaker 1: got four lawyers. It's just it's a lot and and
- 43:29Speaker 1: and you know, for me, like I just had always
- 43:32Speaker 1: assumed this ship was a rap forever. When Joe retired,
- 43:35Speaker 1: I was just like, oh, well, now see you assume that. Yeah,
- 43:39Speaker 1: well now you you're like, no, we're gonna put an
- 43:41Speaker 1: album out and let you know it's a rap. Yeah. Yeah,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I mean because because there's your guys' fans are a
- 43:47Speaker 1: certain type of cult following where they're they're letting until
- 43:52Speaker 1: they get the final No, They're going to keep harping
- 43:54Speaker 1: on the situation. They're very invested in two Slaughterhouse. They
- 43:58Speaker 1: are very invested, you know what I'm saying. And I
- 44:01Speaker 1: don't think in this whole Debaco nobody is. Nobody's caring
- 44:06Speaker 1: about it. I mean, I even heard Joe say the
- 44:07Speaker 1: fans are idiots. I'm like, Doug, listen, I'm when we
- 44:12Speaker 1: was on tour, I'm the last man on the tour bus,
- 44:16Speaker 1: first man off. I'm out there with the fans. We
- 44:19Speaker 1: get off the stage, I'm taking pictures with them, I'm
- 44:21Speaker 1: signing art the grounds, I'm doing shots with the fans
- 44:23Speaker 1: were talking rap. You know what I'm saying, That's just
- 44:25Speaker 1: who I am. These are the people who love what
- 44:28Speaker 1: we love. These are the people who put us where
- 44:29Speaker 1: we are, you know what I mean. And I'm out
- 44:32Speaker 1: there showing love, having fun with the fans at all times.
- 44:34Speaker 1: So I've always been that type of person. And it
- 44:36Speaker 1: doesn't stop because slaughter House stops, you know what I'm saying.
- 44:39Speaker 1: So when the fans hit me and they're like, yo,
- 44:41Speaker 1: you we you know I was listening to your song Goodbye,
- 44:44Speaker 1: and you know my uncle died of cancer too, and man,
- 44:46Speaker 1: it just really it saved me from wanting to harm
- 44:48Speaker 1: myself and just know that you're going through the same
- 44:51Speaker 1: thing and all that. I take that shit to heart.
- 44:53Speaker 1: That shit ain't just a comment on my fucking script
- 44:56Speaker 1: on my screen. That's fucking real shit. And I take
- 44:58Speaker 1: that shit to heart. And when they tell me they
- 45:00Speaker 1: want to know what the fuck is going on with
- 45:02Speaker 1: the music and why we ain't putting out no records
- 45:04Speaker 1: and what happened to Slaughterhouse, I want to give them
- 45:07Speaker 1: that closure to look, this is what happened. Now. I'm
- 45:09Speaker 1: not gonna go super deep and dig up all kinds
- 45:12Speaker 1: of shit and show you where the bodies are. I'm
- 45:14Speaker 1: just gonna be like, yo, this is what happened. And
- 45:16Speaker 1: you know, thank you for all your support over the
- 45:19Speaker 1: fucking years. I'm sorry to be the bad news. I'm
- 45:22Speaker 1: sorry to be that guy, but this is what the
- 45:24Speaker 1: fuck happened. It's over and some of the best motherfucking
- 45:28Speaker 1: movies are based on a true story. This is a
- 45:30Speaker 1: true story period. Did YO ever feel a type of
- 45:33Speaker 1: way when you started to do Crook's Corner? Uh? And
- 45:37Speaker 1: you're like, your your platforms and by the way, you're
- 45:41Speaker 1: not doing that anymore, are you? Yeah? The YouTube channel? Yeah?
- 45:44Speaker 1: Are you still like cause I feel like I feel
- 45:46Speaker 1: like you did. You slowed down a bit on doing it.
- 45:49Speaker 1: We started doing because you were doing it. Started for
- 45:52Speaker 1: a while, right, I was doing it with hip Hop
- 45:54Speaker 1: d X, and then you know, I moved it to
- 45:57Speaker 1: another to my own channel. I got the eminem interview,
- 46:00Speaker 1: and you know, my channel got taken deleted for some
- 46:06Speaker 1: some other stuff. Right, so I started a brand new channel.
- 46:10Speaker 1: And you know, I started a brand new channel. I
- 46:12Speaker 1: have a brand new location. We we do Crooks Corner
- 46:15Speaker 1: and a new location now you know what I mean.
- 46:16Speaker 1: We got it's a beautiful location. Least that out for
- 46:20Speaker 1: a year. And you know I've been having guests coming
- 46:24Speaker 1: in and out shoot man, all kinds of people. So yeah,
- 46:29Speaker 1: we still we're still doing it. It's still rocking and rolling.
- 46:32Speaker 1: The new channel is growing right now, you know what
- 46:33Speaker 1: I mean. I'm very happy at where we are with
- 46:35Speaker 1: Chris Corner. I think my next episode is gonna be
- 46:38Speaker 1: with Ice Tea. He dropped some jewels, you know what
- 46:40Speaker 1: I mean, and uh yeah, shout out to Ice Tea.
- 46:43Speaker 1: He came in. He killed it, you know, and uh
- 46:47Speaker 1: you know, I had Chamelionaire on there. He was talking,
- 46:49Speaker 1: you know, business, he's killing on the tech side. So
- 46:53Speaker 1: it's going now. To answer your question, I don't know
- 46:57Speaker 1: how he felt, but I had c Ob Radio before
- 46:59Speaker 1: he still started the Joe Button podcast already had Cob Radio.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Me and DJ Ski had I remember, you know what
- 47:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. So I've always been in this space. It's
- 47:07Speaker 1: just that I've been juggling shit, you know what I mean,
- 47:09Speaker 1: because I got a lot of different ventures and businesses
- 47:12Speaker 1: that I'm a part of. So it's like I have
- 47:14Speaker 1: to always juggle my time and shit. But now I'm
- 47:17Speaker 1: planning to you know, I'm in the middle of making
- 47:20Speaker 1: my retirement album. So once I get that retirement album done,
- 47:23Speaker 1: I'll be able to focus on Chris Corner. Multimedia and
- 47:25Speaker 1: we'll be able to just start taking on. So you're
- 47:27Speaker 1: retiring next Yeah, so you're done. Yeah, I mean I
- 47:31Speaker 1: don't mind to come out to play for a future.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm not one of these I'm saying, yeah, but making
- 47:37Speaker 1: making solo albums and you know, and that was another
- 47:40Speaker 1: reason why this album was so necessary to me, man,
- 47:42Speaker 1: with me and Joel, because I want to say all
- 47:45Speaker 1: the things I need to say to the people before
- 47:46Speaker 1: I turn the mic off. You know, that's such a
- 47:48Speaker 1: large part of your legacy, man, it's a large part.
- 47:51Speaker 1: This is you know, people like, well, why did you
- 47:53Speaker 1: rap about that? Listen, I've been rapping about my life,
- 47:55Speaker 1: my whole fucking life, and this is something that happened
- 47:58Speaker 1: in my life. That's why I get when people are like, hey,
- 48:00Speaker 1: why are you rapping about it? Oh? When I left
- 48:03Speaker 1: death Row Records, I rapped about it. You know what
- 48:05Speaker 1: I'm saying. I left Shady Records in Slaughterhouse, I'm rapping
- 48:09Speaker 1: about it. I'm entitled to rap about it, you know
- 48:12Speaker 1: what I mean. That's what I've been doing my whole
- 48:13Speaker 1: fucking life. Some of my fans know my life better
- 48:18Speaker 1: than people in my family. Would you ever write a
- 48:20Speaker 1: book for sure, because I feel like you're one of
- 48:22Speaker 1: the few artists that could say you were a part
- 48:24Speaker 1: of Death Row and Shady and then also just some
- 48:28Speaker 1: of the walls you broke down in terms of when
- 48:31Speaker 1: you were dropping a record every week, that was something
- 48:34Speaker 1: that you were the first to do. Yes, then everybody everybody,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I mean that blog era. You were early, like I
- 48:41Speaker 1: remember like early blog era shit, and you were there,
- 48:43Speaker 1: but not Rights and the two Dope boys dropping a
- 48:45Speaker 1: record every fucking week, Yes, sir, And then everybody else
- 48:48Speaker 1: did it. Everybody else did it, and I think once
- 48:50Speaker 1: everybody else did it, it it ultimately changed the way all
- 48:53Speaker 1: fans digest music. It kind of if you think about it,
- 48:57Speaker 1: you're kind of right because now everyone we used to
- 49:01Speaker 1: think if I got an album from our favorite artist
- 49:03Speaker 1: every year and a half or two, I'm that's I'm good. Yeah,
- 49:07Speaker 1: So now your favorite artists gotta be super active because
- 49:11Speaker 1: you got it on your phone and yeah, now that's
- 49:13Speaker 1: some real ship and some real ship. We shifted the
- 49:15Speaker 1: game with that. So yeah, dog, I'm down to write books.
- 49:19Speaker 1: You know. I started on a book I had. Actually
- 49:23Speaker 1: we have this mini series called Foreclosure. Me and Joel
- 49:26Speaker 1: that's you know that we're advertising the album, how we're
- 49:30Speaker 1: rolling out the album, right, And that that actually comes
- 49:33Speaker 1: from a book title because I actually wrote a book
- 49:36Speaker 1: about Starterous. He wrote a whole book, but I ain't
- 49:39Speaker 1: finish it, but I got I got hella chapters. It's
- 49:41Speaker 1: dope too. It's it's really dope. It's a dope ass book. Man.
- 49:45Speaker 1: It talks about you know, how it all was in
- 49:48Speaker 1: the beginning, and and and and the the creative process.
- 49:51Speaker 1: It's just really dope. I just never I haven't finished it.
- 49:54Speaker 1: But it was called Foreclosure, you know what I'm saying.
- 49:56Speaker 1: So this is something that's always been on my mind,
- 49:58Speaker 1: Like you know this, this is something that I needed.
- 50:01Speaker 1: I needed to get out there and you know, I
- 50:04Speaker 1: needed that therapy. I needed that medicine. I needed group
- 50:06Speaker 1: therapy with the fans, the ones who built it with us.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I needed to tell him what was going on and
- 50:12Speaker 1: hear feedback. I'm not always right, you know what I'm saying.
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm open to the feedback, but you know, just don't
- 50:18Speaker 1: don't try to don't try to assassinate my character by
- 50:21Speaker 1: saying that I'm lying about something, because I'm not lying
- 50:23Speaker 1: about anything. Every time I speak, I want the truth
- 50:26Speaker 1: to come out. I'm not lying about nothing. There's nothing
- 50:29Speaker 1: that I've said so far that's false. You know what
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm saying. I said that I brought a deal to
- 50:32Speaker 1: the table. I did. I said that Joe didn't want
- 50:34Speaker 1: to do it. He didn't. I said that Royce didn't
- 50:36Speaker 1: want to do the three man group. He didn't want
- 50:38Speaker 1: to do the three man group. I haven't told one
- 50:40Speaker 1: lie yet. I don't understand how they can call me
- 50:42Speaker 1: a liar. Does this album permanently fracture your relationship with Royce?
- 50:48Speaker 1: In my mind it shouldn't. But you know what I'm saying.
- 50:51Speaker 1: All I could do is speak for myself. I just
- 50:53Speaker 1: think of his IG post, you know, like what he said,
- 50:56Speaker 1: any ig post. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's like,
- 50:58Speaker 1: you know, in my mind, No, it shouldn't, you know
- 51:02Speaker 1: what I'm saying. In my mind, it shouldn't. You know
- 51:04Speaker 1: what I mean, because I got love for Royce. You know,
- 51:11Speaker 1: me and Royce have similar beliefs. You know, we live
- 51:16Speaker 1: by a similar code. You know what I'm saying. So
- 51:18Speaker 1: it's like I got love for Royce, no doubt. But
- 51:23Speaker 1: this is something that had to happen, and you know,
- 51:27Speaker 1: if he wants to continue to wrap do business with Joe,
- 51:31Speaker 1: you know, that's great, you know, And I'm just saying, yo, bro,
- 51:34Speaker 1: I had to get off that bus. I can't. I
- 51:35Speaker 1: can't be on the bus no more with that. That's
- 51:37Speaker 1: it's a wrap on that. How close was the reunion
- 51:42Speaker 1: on the West Side gun Ship from happening? Like, how
- 51:44Speaker 1: close was that actually going to transpire? Because it seemed
- 51:47Speaker 1: like everyone was like was everyone on board to do
- 51:50Speaker 1: that for for Gun? Like? How close? Like like how
- 51:53Speaker 1: far did those discussions get? Because I think if there's
- 51:56Speaker 1: anyone who embodies the energy you guys had, it's it's
- 51:58Speaker 1: Griselda right now. Well, they said that they were going
- 52:01Speaker 1: to do it, but it became one of those slaughter
- 52:04Speaker 1: house things. You know, nobody, nobody ended up turning in
- 52:09Speaker 1: what they had to turn in. And I think I
- 52:12Speaker 1: think Gun changed his mind or something, and he ended
- 52:16Speaker 1: up using the same beat that we all got. He
- 52:18Speaker 1: used that song with us for our Money, Caesar, him
- 52:22Speaker 1: and Miney Caesar did a joint on there, and once
- 52:24Speaker 1: that floated out, I threw my verse out as a freestyle,
- 52:28Speaker 1: and I told my fans and supporters you know, this
- 52:31Speaker 1: was supposed this was supposed to be to Griselle, the
- 52:33Speaker 1: joint that we were all gonna do at Slaughterhouse. But
- 52:35Speaker 1: you know, once again, as soon as they asked me
- 52:38Speaker 1: to rap I rap, I was, I had a joint
- 52:41Speaker 1: on there, you know what I'm saying. And it was
- 52:43Speaker 1: funny when Roy said that because my my fans and
- 52:46Speaker 1: supporters were in the comments, like, dog, we've been knowing
- 52:48Speaker 1: that that ship wasn't gonna happen. He was. You know,
- 52:50Speaker 1: you're pretty transparent with I'm super transparent now now that
- 52:54Speaker 1: I'm on Discord on Discord at the Discord. Yeah, now
- 52:57Speaker 1: that I'm on Discord lip, Yeah, it's lit. I got
- 52:59Speaker 1: the I got the Chris Corner server over there, and
- 53:02Speaker 1: we we inside our chat room talking all kinds of
- 53:04Speaker 1: ship to each other, you know what I mean, Like
- 53:06Speaker 1: we we talk about everything man and and and and
- 53:09Speaker 1: that's I think that's what separates me from you know
- 53:13Speaker 1: a lot of people out here, is that we're not
- 53:15Speaker 1: We're we're on equal footing man with with people who
- 53:18Speaker 1: support us. Man, unless some people think they rap stars
- 53:20Speaker 1: and ship and they think they too good to talk
- 53:22Speaker 1: to people, you know what I mean, even too good
- 53:24Speaker 1: to return phone calls. But I ain't. You're not that guy.
- 53:27Speaker 1: I you go do that? Yeah, I'm not that guy.
- 53:30Speaker 1: This album coming out, your guys, the second album together
- 53:35Speaker 1: just Hewling and Joel. Is this, uh, something you guys
- 53:38Speaker 1: are gonna continue obviously the next if you guys do.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I'm assuming not every album is gonna be based on
- 53:44Speaker 1: mur Rising Falls Slaughter at all, because the first one wasn't.
- 53:48Speaker 1: But is this something you guys are gonna keep on
- 53:50Speaker 1: doing or just yeah? I think me and Joel might
- 53:53Speaker 1: make another one. I'm not sure. I don't want to really,
- 53:55Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. But when we did the
- 53:58Speaker 1: first one, the pandemic just I was in New York.
- 54:01Speaker 1: We did it Rest in Peace, Fred to God's Son.
- 54:03Speaker 1: He was He was in every session with us, and
- 54:07Speaker 1: the pandemic had just hit. So after we I came
- 54:09Speaker 1: back home, it was very hard to move around because
- 54:13Speaker 1: the country this was something new to us. People quarantine
- 54:16Speaker 1: early on. It was impossible. It was impossible, so we
- 54:18Speaker 1: couldn't really roll the album out like we wanted to. So,
- 54:21Speaker 1: you know, we took this opportunity to be able to really,
- 54:24Speaker 1: you know, put our vision out there and show people
- 54:27Speaker 1: that you know what we do. I mean, shout out
- 54:29Speaker 1: to my man, Herb, the our true team, our visual
- 54:32Speaker 1: our visual game ain't playing either for sure, you know
- 54:34Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So it's like, you know, we we
- 54:37Speaker 1: have a great team, you know, in place to do
- 54:40Speaker 1: whatever we want to do. If if he wants to,
- 54:42Speaker 1: we could do some more music, you know, if not,
- 54:45Speaker 1: I feel it, you know what I mean. But I'm
- 54:47Speaker 1: definitely after I'm finished with this album, the retirement, Yeah,
- 54:50Speaker 1: after I'm done with that. You know, I'm I'm transitioning, man,
- 54:53Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I'm transitioning, but I'm gonna
- 54:55Speaker 1: leave with a bang, like like this last album, the
- 54:59Speaker 1: first four joint it's just ridiculous. So I'm like, yo,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure I get out of here and
- 55:04Speaker 1: say something, you know, the right way, the right way, Yes, sir.
- 55:06Speaker 1: How's your current relationship with m That's good? You like,
- 55:11Speaker 1: I feel like if you have a retirement album, I
- 55:13Speaker 1: feel like Eminem kind of has to be onder. Hey man,
- 55:16Speaker 1: come on, Marshall. Man, you know I'm getting out of here. Baby,
- 55:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's gonna happen. You know, this is
- 55:23Speaker 1: the last I talk to him about it. He was like, Man,
- 55:26Speaker 1: don't retire because he ain't. Because he ain't, you know
- 55:30Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But I mean, and that dude has
- 55:33Speaker 1: a hard job, boy, because he's a word smith. He
- 55:36Speaker 1: gotta go in there every time and try to top
- 55:38Speaker 1: that last one. You know what I'm saying that that's
- 55:41Speaker 1: that's what he does. Though he's a gunner. Somebody like
- 55:43Speaker 1: Ross who kind of used the same blueprint in terms
- 55:47Speaker 1: of like what you were doing in the early blog
- 55:48Speaker 1: days to kind of get on just dropping the record
- 55:50Speaker 1: every week, reaches out to you, get you on the
- 55:53Speaker 1: chomp ep the first one Stockholm Syndrome. We I mean
- 55:58Speaker 1: because Russ, I think what he's done with these two
- 56:01Speaker 1: Chop projects is like pretty special because like, if you
- 56:07Speaker 1: didn't know better, you would be very surprised to hear Russ,
- 56:11Speaker 1: who's known for his melodies, and you know he'd be
- 56:13Speaker 1: saying some fly ship popping and ship but he's really
- 56:17Speaker 1: throwing punges with the best of the best of these
- 56:19Speaker 1: two projects. What was that like, like him reaching out
- 56:21Speaker 1: to you, did he just slide you in the DM
- 56:23Speaker 1: or yeah, he just hit me on he just hit
- 56:25Speaker 1: me online? Because you know, we always in the trenches.
- 56:27Speaker 1: He see me, and a lot of times his name
- 56:30Speaker 1: used to pop up in my timeline. People be like, yo,
- 56:32Speaker 1: what do you think of Russ all this? And I'm like, yo,
- 56:34Speaker 1: I like Russ. You know, Russ is out there doing
- 56:35Speaker 1: this independent thing. You know, he's giving jewels the up
- 56:38Speaker 1: and coming artists and lots of jewels. I fuck with Russ,
- 56:41Speaker 1: so you know, he hit me up and he's like,
- 56:43Speaker 1: would I do it? I was like, shit, that's nothing,
- 56:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean, sent it back to him.
- 56:46Speaker 1: He's like, yo, you killed that shit. I was like,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you're looking, bro, It's all good, you know. So it's
- 56:50Speaker 1: real easy. I'm very easy to work with, and I
- 56:54Speaker 1: liked I liked that kind of environment. I like that
- 56:56Speaker 1: people who are easy to work with. I like to
- 56:58Speaker 1: be in good native environments where it's not a lot
- 57:01Speaker 1: of you know, head button and some people like that
- 57:05Speaker 1: because that's sometimes that brings out some of the best music,
- 57:08Speaker 1: you know, super challenges and adversity and all that type
- 57:11Speaker 1: of shit. But I don't like that. I like the
- 57:13Speaker 1: good workflow, you know what I'm saying. I had that
- 57:15Speaker 1: as a as a fucking kid. I've been in the
- 57:16Speaker 1: game a long time you've been I'm too old for
- 57:19Speaker 1: all that ship now. I like the Google environment, you know,
- 57:21Speaker 1: just out of bean bag over here, you chilling you
- 57:23Speaker 1: sip and lemonade over there? Yo? Pull it beat the alright, cool,
- 57:26Speaker 1: let's get it cracking. None of that other ship before
- 57:30Speaker 1: we get out of here. Obviously, the album. By the
- 57:32Speaker 1: time this comes out, the album will be out. Yeah,
- 57:34Speaker 1: go get the album. Yes, go run it up, run
- 57:36Speaker 1: it up. I'm sure is there going to be merch.
- 57:40Speaker 1: There's merch available, you know, the merch the pre orders
- 57:43Speaker 1: is looking nice. You know what I'm saying. Run up
- 57:45Speaker 1: the merch, run up. Maybe a book coming soon, Tireman album.
- 57:51Speaker 1: What's up with the Horseshoe Gang? Yo? The Shoe Gang man?
- 57:54Speaker 1: Like am he really loved him too? And you know, uh,
- 57:59Speaker 1: is everyone Horseshoe Gang related to you? Yeah? That's my
- 58:01Speaker 1: little brothers. Okay, yeah, yeah, they they masters that They're incredible,
- 58:06Speaker 1: and you know, they're starting to turn the corner. A
- 58:08Speaker 1: lot of people are giving them other people want to
- 58:11Speaker 1: work with them. You know, some super producers want to
- 58:14Speaker 1: work with them now, so we we we in the
- 58:16Speaker 1: mix with that right now. Also shout out to Uh.
- 58:18Speaker 1: I want to shout out Raz Cast's sons because they're
- 58:21Speaker 1: in a group called Post Contra. I'm trying to get
- 58:25Speaker 1: them on the show. They they've been opening up on
- 58:26Speaker 1: the cord A tour. Yeah, they're fucking crazy to those guys.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I just saw one of their freestyles pop up on
- 58:35Speaker 1: my ship and I was like, oh my god, who
- 58:36Speaker 1: are these kids? Yeah? Yeah, them kids dope. And I
- 58:39Speaker 1: didn't even know I'd reached out d M. And then
- 58:41Speaker 1: like I saw Raz like repost them and I was like,
- 58:43Speaker 1: oh shit, those are his sons. The twins are his boys.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Like that ship is crazy. I love it. Hey, listen, man,
- 58:48Speaker 1: hip hop is aging, so we're able to see things
- 58:51Speaker 1: we never seen before. It's a new genre of music,
- 58:56Speaker 1: relatively new, so we've never got to see the lineage.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Then we had Chris Rivers sitting right here like a
- 59:02Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago, and man, that motherfucker went crazy.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Yeah that's what I'm saying, Chris Rivers, you know what
- 59:07Speaker 1: I mean, Like, you know, it's just it's dope to
- 59:09Speaker 1: see the growth. Man, everything is dope. But yeah, well look, man,
- 59:12Speaker 1: I appreciate you pulling up and giving us some context
- 59:14Speaker 1: on what the fuck is going on? Yeah, man, you
- 59:16Speaker 1: know they throwing darts at me, keV. You know what
- 59:18Speaker 1: I'm saying. I had to come in and set the
- 59:19Speaker 1: record straight, real quick list. I think it's just important
- 59:22Speaker 1: to get all of the context, you know, to get
- 59:26Speaker 1: as much of your side of what's going on. And
- 59:30Speaker 1: you know, I think that that was a big thing
- 59:32Speaker 1: that was missed about. You know, some of the headlines
- 59:34Speaker 1: that were made off of that IG live was you
- 59:36Speaker 1: really weren't able to speak. I wasn't able to speak,
- 59:38Speaker 1: you know. I tried to get in there, so I
- 59:39Speaker 1: did my own live, you know what I mean. And
- 59:42Speaker 1: you know, I talk to the people myself. But you know,
- 59:45Speaker 1: it's it's all good. Like like I said, dog, it's
- 59:47Speaker 1: just getting it out there. The story is out there,
- 59:51Speaker 1: the fans are getting closure. Leave the slaughterhouse questions behind
- 59:54Speaker 1: after just go press play for all the fucking questions. Yeah,
- 59:59Speaker 1: that's all y'all got to do, man, And you'd be
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: all right with me, you know what I mean. Here
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: it is man, King Crook Crooked. I appreciate you pulling out.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Thanks for having me. Hey, shout out your YouTube channel
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that you that you know Brooks Corner, Come to Crook's Corner,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Come mess with me. Man, We've got a lot of
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: content over there's beautiful boom
