- 0:28Speaker 4: Tatiana King aka Tatiana handed the King aka Sir Arlen
- 0:31Speaker 4: of the Dollar Tree Akaa Lord of Lightsabers latt Old
- 0:35Speaker 4: High Tower. It was all a dream fire kodat Blackwoods,
- 0:38Speaker 4: Tatiana the King Slayer, Tatiana the King's Guard and the
- 0:42Speaker 4: King of the North. And I am joined today by
- 0:46Speaker 4: my lovely co host, Mester p herself.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Hello everyone, it's Master p Aka Portia aka the Master
- 0:55Speaker 1: of Green Dreams aka Lady Mary Jane of High Garden
- 1:00Speaker 1: aka Dry Guns. Make her dance and I would like
- 1:05Speaker 1: to dance today, but there's pennies and trees, so I
- 1:07Speaker 1: don't know if any dragons are raining.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Yes, thank you and shout out to DJ Benjamin, Happy
- 1:15Speaker 4: birthday to you. He is out probably in Dorn, living
- 1:20Speaker 4: it up in the sunshine while we waste the way
- 1:22Speaker 4: in the north.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Winter has come.
- 1:25Speaker 3: It is coming with John.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Snow and m But that said, we are here to
- 1:31Speaker 4: discuss one of our favorite things in the world, Duncan
- 1:34Speaker 4: Egg themselves, also known as a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
- 1:38Speaker 4: This is for episode six, titled The Morrow. And I
- 1:42Speaker 4: had said this to you earlier today, Portia, I am
- 1:45Speaker 4: so sad, like I love this show so much. And
- 1:49Speaker 4: it's so funny because when we were like preparing to
- 1:53Speaker 4: like start the review of this series, I was just like, wait,
- 1:56Speaker 4: what's coming out? Like I wasn't even thinking about it,
- 2:00Speaker 4: let alone even remembering that this was coming. And then
- 2:03Speaker 4: now I'm sitting here like complete fan girl about it
- 2:06Speaker 4: because it is just so it was just such a brilliant,
- 2:10Speaker 4: brilliant first season, thank god, but such a brilliant first
- 2:13Speaker 4: season of this story of Sir Duncan and Egg aka
- 2:17Speaker 4: egg On. So what are your feelings like now that
- 2:21Speaker 4: we've just come to the end. Before we get into
- 2:23Speaker 4: the details, just tell me how you've been feeling about
- 2:25Speaker 4: this show, and.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It's really your pressure. I feel like that's kind of
- 2:29Speaker 1: odd to say about a Game of Thrown series because
- 2:32Speaker 1: they tend to like and you know, I love it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm here because I loved the political intrigue, the draw dropping,
- 2:38Speaker 1: the grayness, the darkness, but then the light within it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But it's just been mostly light with a little bit
- 2:45Speaker 1: of gray, and I think after having that color most
- 2:48Speaker 1: of the universe this whole time, this is exactly what
- 2:51Speaker 1: it's supposed to be, like a little palette cleanser. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: think everyone, it seems like everyone involved, from the people
- 2:58Speaker 1: who have written this a recoot, worked on a series,
- 3:02Speaker 1: people who are watching it and engaging with it. It
- 3:04Speaker 1: seems like we're all in a place of like knowing
- 3:07Speaker 1: that it's going to be what it's going to be
- 3:08Speaker 1: with just like three seasons at most, and we're appreciating it,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and it's like brevity, and because we're appreciate being able
- 3:16Speaker 1: to appreciate it, then we actually enjoy it.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So it's really nice to see that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Like short form things can have these lasting impacts and
- 3:24Speaker 1: they're they're very necessary as we're seeing here.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that's actually very well, said Porsche, because one of
- 3:30Speaker 4: the mean even myself included one of the mean complaints
- 3:34Speaker 4: about this show has been nothing about anything within it,
- 3:37Speaker 4: but just how short it is, right, short episodes, short seasons.
- 3:41Speaker 4: It's only been six episodes, and I don't know if
- 3:44Speaker 4: the next season, which is actually already filming, I don't
- 3:47Speaker 4: know if season two is going to be just as short.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I have a little bit more.
- 3:50Speaker 4: But interestingly enough, it's it's it's less of a complaint
- 3:54Speaker 4: and more.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Of just a I had to try to try to
- 3:57Speaker 3: figure out the right word to explain.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Is it's more so just that a love like you
- 4:02Speaker 4: want more, You're yearning for more at the end of
- 4:05Speaker 4: the day, Like this is still technically sound like it's
- 4:09Speaker 4: in terms of how it's approached. As you mentioned, the
- 4:12Speaker 4: brevity of it is what makes this show so special,
- 4:15Speaker 4: the fact that it gives you what you need in
- 4:18Speaker 4: a small package. And it's just like, damn, that's that's
- 4:22Speaker 4: what it is, right, and this is and I don't
- 4:25Speaker 4: know if it's just like I'm just coming from the
- 4:27Speaker 4: world of areas or projects that just be having all
- 4:31Speaker 4: these episodes to do nothing with.
- 4:33Speaker 3: You get these series that do be having eighteen episodes,
- 4:37Speaker 3: and it's so much filler in between. I've been watching
- 4:40Speaker 3: a lot of anime lately, so it's just.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Like, God, damn, like I'm just tired of, you know,
- 4:45Speaker 4: all the fillers. So but I'm just become accustomed to Okay,
- 4:48Speaker 4: you just have all this time to just run your mouth,
- 4:51Speaker 4: whereas this is just like, no, we have limited space,
- 4:54Speaker 4: limited time with you, right, because what it's like each
- 4:58Speaker 4: episode is barely it's not even a full hour half
- 5:00Speaker 4: the time, you know, damn.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Near Bay thirty minutes.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's barely like twenty five twenty, right, So.
- 5:07Speaker 4: It forces you in a space where and it's also
- 5:11Speaker 4: released on an episodic basis weekly, right, so you have
- 5:14Speaker 4: to wait. So that's just taking us back to how
- 5:16Speaker 4: it was back in the day, where it's like you
- 5:18Speaker 4: got a little bit, you got a taste of what
- 5:20Speaker 4: was next in this storyline, and you had to wait
- 5:22Speaker 4: so and you have to savor it, and you had
- 5:25Speaker 4: to think about it, and you had to sit with it, right,
- 5:28Speaker 4: let it marinate, understand what's going with the characters.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Give you space to also learn more.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Right, we're in the age of in it where you
- 5:34Speaker 4: can go online, go read some more about the characters.
- 5:37Speaker 3: The library down the street, go read some books about this.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Like, it's just interesting that it's turning a lot of
- 5:45Speaker 4: what I feel is the habits that we've had as viewers,
- 5:49Speaker 4: at least in the last ten years that sometimes you
- 5:53Speaker 4: just gotta take what you can get and just be
- 5:57Speaker 4: happy for that and understand and see the art in it.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So I think you had a great explanation of all
- 6:03Speaker 3: of that, So thank you.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I think it's also like just the other thought that
- 6:07Speaker 1: came to me was, it's funny how it's related to
- 6:11Speaker 1: who's in the series, right, the main characters. It was
- 6:14Speaker 1: a tall order for this new series to kind of match.
- 6:19Speaker 1: There's a whole world already at hand before they even
- 6:22Speaker 1: brought it to time here, so the timing of the
- 6:24Speaker 1: series already had a big shadow to fill in. But
- 6:28Speaker 1: then the brevity of it, the shortness is like egg.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So you got Dunk in the tall and you got
- 6:34Speaker 1: little Egg, and they to fill in the little bit
- 6:37Speaker 1: of like light that we needed.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I just.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Love the poetry of that, and I appreciate that, like
- 6:46Speaker 1: everything here works, and I think when we see the
- 6:50Speaker 1: portrayal of these characters, like I'd watch like I said,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I I'd read the graphic novels like.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Ahead of time, and knowing that.
- 6:58Speaker 1: The people who were like the guy who plays Dunk
- 7:01Speaker 1: actually read the graphic novels before he like took on
- 7:04Speaker 1: the role or as he's taken on the role. It
- 7:07Speaker 1: actually like and he I was just as anxious as
- 7:09Speaker 1: Dunk is for sure to be anxious, and like all
- 7:11Speaker 1: these things, I'm like, I love the symmetry that they
- 7:13Speaker 1: pulled into it. So in the after episode after yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: after the episode or whatever.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Just because after episode like five ten minutes at the Twelkie.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a good thing to see, like
- 7:23Speaker 1: how they wrapped it up. And I'm sure we'll hear
- 7:25Speaker 1: more and like the days to come about how they
- 7:27Speaker 1: feel about like creating this work.
- 7:29Speaker 2: But it was something to be very proud of. Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Shout out to Peter Claffie, who played and continues to
- 7:36Speaker 4: place Sir Dunk in the Toll.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Shout out to Dexter soul On Sell.
- 7:40Speaker 4: The little cute little one that plays Egg, Daniel Ings
- 7:44Speaker 4: who plays Sir Lionel Birdie Carvel that plays or Prince
- 7:48Speaker 4: Baylor or Unk as I like to call him. And oh,
- 7:52Speaker 4: shout out to Sean Thomas who plays the uh Ben
- 7:56Speaker 4: always last, I call him the Fossy, you know.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That one, but there the good apple, green apple.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Right, and really the entire cast, you know, Danny Webb
- 8:07Speaker 4: who played Sir Land and Pennytree like.
- 8:10Speaker 3: They did they big one with the casting.
- 8:13Speaker 4: They did ay big one with the choice of how they,
- 8:17Speaker 4: as you mentioned, delivered the characters. And it's interesting, particularly
- 8:21Speaker 4: in this episode, I really saw a lot of it
- 8:23Speaker 4: when you talked about the poetry, the poetry of and
- 8:26Speaker 4: of their Dunk in the Eggs relationship and the light
- 8:30Speaker 4: that they bring.
- 8:30Speaker 3: And it's been we talk a lot.
- 8:33Speaker 4: This whole season about the cinematography, but it just seemed
- 8:36Speaker 4: particularly pointed in this last episode where anytime it was
- 8:40Speaker 4: Dunk and Egg generally in a scene like there were
- 8:44Speaker 4: some there was either in the daytime where it was
- 8:46Speaker 4: nice and bright and you saw the distinct colors all
- 8:48Speaker 4: around you, or there was some like major light source
- 8:51Speaker 4: to brighten them up. Right Like from there was the
- 8:55Speaker 4: one point where after the first time Dunk went to
- 8:59Speaker 4: talk to may Car and he was in the hallway
- 9:02Speaker 4: with Egg and you know, Egg was basically just like,
- 9:05Speaker 4: don't you want to you know, don't you want me
- 9:06Speaker 4: to let me squire for you? He was like, hell no,
- 9:09Speaker 4: there was still that big window, right, It was still
- 9:11Speaker 4: like there is a point of light between these two.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Right towards the end when when Egg ran out lying
- 9:17Speaker 4: by the way, but he ran.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Out saying, oh yeah, you know, my father said that
- 9:20Speaker 3: you can square.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Nobody else knew any better.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Listen when he ran out there like it was it
- 9:26Speaker 4: was just a market difference, Like you know, it was
- 9:28Speaker 4: the rolling hills, the greenery, it was lush, it was happy, right,
- 9:33Speaker 4: And at the end of the day, that's what we've
- 9:35Speaker 4: taken away from this relationship between the two, Like they are,
- 9:38Speaker 4: they are twinsies, what they twin in them, they every
- 9:42Speaker 4: like they're brothers, they're they're they're all these things. And
- 9:45Speaker 4: it's a start contrast when you see Dunk in rooms
- 9:49Speaker 4: with other people, Like when he's in the rooms with
- 9:50Speaker 4: just the Targaners, it's dark as fucking there, right, he
- 9:53Speaker 4: might got something like but a little bit of flame
- 9:55Speaker 4: over here anytime, generally speaking, when he's in rooms with
- 9:58Speaker 4: other people who it's not like on his side like that,
- 10:02Speaker 4: it's dark, right, or people who just don't seem to
- 10:05Speaker 4: have some ounce of honor.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I've noticed that, right, it's a bit dark in the scenes.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Whereas with what others Baylor included, other folks like you
- 10:12Speaker 4: see the literal not just figurative figurative, but literal brightness,
- 10:17Speaker 4: and yes, it's been happening all season, but I really
- 10:20Speaker 4: peaked this last episode.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I mean it's also the finale, right, so they're gonna
- 10:25Speaker 1: like you're gonna like you're saying, like they give us
- 10:28Speaker 1: little nuggets, little cliff fingers to hold on to you
- 10:31Speaker 1: or when we see them again, so hold on to that,
- 10:35Speaker 1: like re ready for it again. And we're gonna have
- 10:38Speaker 1: House of Dragon return in June, so that brightness we
- 10:42Speaker 1: need to remember when we go through what we're about
- 10:44Speaker 1: to go through with the House of the.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Dragons, which which is just like because of where we landed,
- 10:51Speaker 4: where we began, and where we landed with Duncan Egg
- 10:54Speaker 4: this show.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I'm just like, I don't know if I want the negativity.
- 10:57Speaker 4: I don't thrive off the negativity like I did a
- 11:00Speaker 4: couple of years ago when I was just talking about
- 11:03Speaker 4: what the Greens and the Blacks, you know, just fighting
- 11:07Speaker 4: against each other, Like I was all about that negative life,
- 11:10Speaker 4: you know, like you know, Crimson blood type shit, And I'm.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Just like, damn, can we just have like a.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Nice soothing situation like even though those last the second
- 11:20Speaker 4: and last episode with the actual fight between the Seven,
- 11:24Speaker 4: like that was brutal, brute, tall beyond believing. I watched
- 11:28Speaker 4: you and Ben, I mean recap it.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It gave me the anxiousness.
- 11:32Speaker 4: And remember before when we first started, I was like, oh,
- 11:34Speaker 4: I don't feel no interestness when I watched that effed
- 11:37Speaker 4: me up fine, But to come back, like even the
- 11:41Speaker 4: way this finale episode opened with the smooth jazz like
- 11:45Speaker 4: that sent me like I was. I was like I
- 11:49Speaker 4: was dying laughing. But it also just reminded me like
- 11:52Speaker 4: we're coming back full circle. Like when this season started,
- 11:57Speaker 4: it was on some funny shit, it was on some
- 11:59Speaker 4: comedy shit, and it was such a nice departure from
- 12:04Speaker 4: all of the negative I hate you, I hate your cousin,
- 12:08Speaker 4: I married your brother, and now I'm your uncle type shit,
- 12:11Speaker 4: like like you understand, like it was, it was just
- 12:14Speaker 4: I just am in like a happy place. And it's
- 12:17Speaker 4: like as excited as I was seeing the trailer for
- 12:20Speaker 4: the next season of House with Dragons, I was.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Just like, damn, we back to this ship again.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I was, I was, I just I was. It was positive.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's like when you get away from like your toxic
- 12:34Speaker 1: family or whatever, you gotta go back for like a holiday,
- 12:38Speaker 1: and you're like.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Oh, it's like, oh, okay, I mean I ain't gonna
- 12:41Speaker 4: I'm gonna be seated for the drama.
- 12:43Speaker 1: That's why we do this podcast. The meal is here
- 12:46Speaker 1: and it's served.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I will be eating.
- 12:49Speaker 4: However, however, I'm a you know, I did enjoy dunkin Egg.
- 12:55Speaker 4: But yeah, let's let's let's talk about that intro again.
- 12:59Speaker 4: That that that the smooth jazz. Actually, it was driving
- 13:01Speaker 4: me nuts because I was like, that's a real Obviously,
- 13:04Speaker 4: all these songs like are real, these are soundtracks we're
- 13:06Speaker 4: talking about. But I was just like, what song is that?
- 13:09Speaker 4: The the briefness of the jazz? It was called It's
- 13:13Speaker 4: a song called Alone Together by Kenny Durham. He was
- 13:17Speaker 4: a black jazz artist and like that song has been
- 13:20Speaker 4: done over and over by many different artists. It was
- 13:23Speaker 4: on Broadway and it's just considered a jazz standard. So again,
- 13:26Speaker 4: just it's interesting when they put modern music into like
- 13:30Speaker 4: Renfair type settings. It's very off, but it also leads
- 13:34Speaker 4: to the candor of the scene, right, Like that was
- 13:37Speaker 4: meant to be kind of funny, kind of comedic, and
- 13:41Speaker 4: you have Lionel who made it, and remember we said
- 13:44Speaker 4: who made it out?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Right, Lionel made it out.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Green Apple, the you know, good Apple boy made it
- 13:50Speaker 4: out and was that it did anybody else make it?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Everyone else made it? So they said the two Humphreys
- 13:57Speaker 1: are the ones who didn't make it. So one of
- 13:58Speaker 1: the Humphries was on I believe I did. I was
- 14:02Speaker 1: supposed to double check this, but I believe the two
- 14:06Speaker 1: Humphreys were, like one of them was on Dunk side
- 14:10Speaker 1: and one of them was on.
- 14:11Speaker 2: The side of the Targarians Arian.
- 14:16Speaker 1: But I had to be doubles checking because I feel
- 14:17Speaker 1: like Sir Humphrey of the Bright Star is like the
- 14:20Speaker 1: one who the same one that Ben was saying like
- 14:24Speaker 1: he was a dick because he was a very plain.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So I'm like, I made it from the bottom, you know,
- 14:31Speaker 1: side it from the bottom now were hear? But he
- 14:33Speaker 1: actually is like the bottom of like a wealthy family.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So yeah, double checking that, But yes, those are the
- 14:39Speaker 1: ones who made it out. Who know, those are the
- 14:42Speaker 1: ones who died. So it's two plus Prince Baylor. So
- 14:46Speaker 1: three people in total died out of.
- 14:48Speaker 3: The trial, seven out of Dunk, seven out of.
- 14:51Speaker 2: The trial of seven. So the out of the complete trial, seven.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Out of everybody, how many people.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Died brief fatalities?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Okay, and again that Baylor and.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And there's two Humphreys and the too Humphries.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Okay, then I have no legs him right? And then okay, so.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Is the one who had like already like had his
- 15:14Speaker 1: legs taken out of him?
- 15:15Speaker 2: M And we.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Knew that was gonna happen.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Wait, I was like I thought I was okay, No,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I was right, it was all right. It was the two.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I was the second guess to myself. It was the
- 15:25Speaker 1: two on dunk side. So the one of the legs
- 15:28Speaker 1: and then the one with the the eye patch.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Oh, old man, yeah, the wild boy, the wild boy,
- 15:33Speaker 3: old man.
- 15:33Speaker 4: But we knew he was going to he's going you know,
- 15:35Speaker 4: he on the he on the extra season side.
- 15:38Speaker 3: So you know Colonel Sanders had to go. All right,
- 15:41Speaker 3: Well that's that's too bad.
- 15:44Speaker 4: But like I said, I don't know what the what
- 15:47Speaker 4: the odds are of anybody put their parlaids up. But
- 15:49Speaker 4: I don't know if y'all, any of y'all actually won,
- 15:50Speaker 4: because I know Ben asked who was gonna make it.
- 15:52Speaker 3: But I just, ah, man, I'm so sad about like
- 15:57Speaker 3: I know he could.
- 15:59Speaker 4: And that's how it is with you throws, just like
- 16:00Speaker 4: the ones you love the most, that's the one that's
- 16:02Speaker 4: gonna go. I was just like, I guess he's the
- 16:05Speaker 4: ned star good season. So whatever, it's like.
- 16:08Speaker 2: If we get we barely got to know him.
- 16:10Speaker 1: You know, Like.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I was like, that's my nid dude, like in that
- 16:15Speaker 3: little bit.
- 16:16Speaker 1: But like, what did you think about how Lionel Barrathian
- 16:21Speaker 1: said that basically Prince Baylor was a fraud for he
- 16:26Speaker 1: was like protected the whole time, and so for him
- 16:29Speaker 1: to fight against his own protection exactly him invoking the
- 16:33Speaker 1: bods God's wrath by like being a fraud star, he
- 16:37Speaker 1: was never really in trouble and so by.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Acting as if he was in peril when he really
- 16:43Speaker 2: was not, he invokes their ath.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Here's the thing about Lionel's statement, Sir Lionel Barathian, He's
- 16:51Speaker 4: not all the way wrong, but did he have to
- 16:55Speaker 4: say it like that? And I just he does come
- 16:59Speaker 4: off as a I will say that, and the and
- 17:01Speaker 4: the hate is real, like he does not fuck with
- 17:03Speaker 4: Targarians understandably we are we And that's another beacon of
- 17:09Speaker 4: light when it comes to this series.
- 17:10Speaker 1: But I also noticed who all was attending the funeral
- 17:13Speaker 1: for and like again for us Baylor to be one
- 17:16Speaker 1: of the better Targarians that funeral attendants tells the story, Oh.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Everybody was there?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Who was missing? Was everybody?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Was somebody missing?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Do you who?
- 17:27Speaker 3: Who was? Everybody?
- 17:28Speaker 2: Was Targarians that were there and the Highers.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Who also you're you're saying, I expected all the Targarian houses,
- 17:34Speaker 4: you mean, other people outside of non Targarians being present,
- 17:38Speaker 4: and we know that, but we know, but like I said,
- 17:41Speaker 4: like that's what what I was gonna say, was That's
- 17:43Speaker 4: what this show also was very good at, like showing
- 17:46Speaker 4: you like nobody's really fucking with the Targarians, like we
- 17:49Speaker 4: have been conditioned to fuck with them because of all
- 17:51Speaker 4: of the shows we've watched and now we're seeing like
- 17:54Speaker 4: we've essentially watched things in reversed. We've watched things from
- 17:57Speaker 4: the sight and from the opinion of the villain, really right,
- 18:03Speaker 4: and so that's why we've all been like, oh, right
- 18:05Speaker 4: near this and Danny that, and now it's coming along
- 18:08Speaker 4: like oh no, I am the small folk that gets
- 18:10Speaker 4: burnt up every time these niggas say boo to each other.
- 18:13Speaker 3: So No, that wasn't surprising to me.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I knew it was just gonna be the fam What
- 18:19Speaker 4: was again, just what was interesting about that? Like I
- 18:21Speaker 4: said back to Lionel, I still think you know, I
- 18:25Speaker 4: understand his hate.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It's also kind of a hater thing to say, because.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Regardless of and I'm not trying to became a thrown
- 18:35Speaker 4: religion into it. Regardless of how you think the gods
- 18:37Speaker 4: was responding to Baylor's choice or his involvement, he still
- 18:44Speaker 4: made a choice, and he made a very public choice,
- 18:47Speaker 4: one where he stood in the face of the ridicule
- 18:51Speaker 4: that Dunk was receiving, the bullshit that Dunk's receiving. He
- 18:54Speaker 4: was like, he essentially was like fuck y'all. Like, yes,
- 18:58Speaker 4: he knew that he had the shield of being protected, right,
- 19:03Speaker 4: but that was part of the strategy. They not gonna
- 19:07Speaker 4: harm me. I could help you more, they can't. Like
- 19:11Speaker 4: That's how and That's why I'm like on the hater
- 19:13Speaker 4: side of the things. I'm just like I Baylor was
- 19:15Speaker 4: still there to help Dunk. He was He was the
- 19:17Speaker 4: only one who stood up for Dunk when Dunk was
- 19:19Speaker 4: going around trying to get Co signed and nobody would
- 19:22Speaker 4: co sign for him, here come Baylor.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Whenever Dunk was.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Just like seeing on his you know, prestigious and honorable things,
- 19:28Speaker 4: and everybody was keiking laughing at him.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Baylor was on the other side like, well, no, give
- 19:33Speaker 3: this nigga a chance.
- 19:34Speaker 4: So at the end of the day, like, regardless of
- 19:36Speaker 4: how you personally feel about Targarians, Lionel Baylor still was
- 19:40Speaker 4: there Like that was he stood up.
- 19:43Speaker 3: At the end of the day, he stood up and he.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Paid for it with his whole life, which was the
- 19:49Speaker 4: deepest part about it. So regardless of the God's raft,
- 19:51Speaker 4: and he stood up. Lionel stood up because he hates
- 19:57Speaker 4: Targarians period. He's a little blood thirsty too, but primarily
- 20:02Speaker 4: because he hates Targaris.
- 20:03Speaker 3: And he was like, oh, an opportunity to fuck these
- 20:06Speaker 3: niggas up. Count me in under, Like.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Everyone has their reasons, but to then hate on that
- 20:12Speaker 4: nigga's reasons.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Like, well, it's not as noble as you think.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Like I don't know about that, bro, And I will
- 20:18Speaker 4: still give him credit because, like I said, he wasn't
- 20:20Speaker 4: entirely wrong, because it's just like because this is a
- 20:23Speaker 4: whole religious weird thing going on about like oh, this
- 20:27Speaker 4: is about honor and the gods choose who makes it and.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Who lah blah blah.
- 20:31Speaker 4: I get it, But at the end of the day,
- 20:32Speaker 4: like don't and I understand that I have.
- 20:35Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Maybe my little bit of love for Baylor's is making
- 20:38Speaker 4: me defend him more. But it's just he has clearly
- 20:41Speaker 4: shown aside different from everybody, he's one of.
- 20:43Speaker 3: The least uh dirty Targarians out there.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Right, I'm not saying he has never done no dirty
- 20:48Speaker 4: I don't know what the nigga's done, but as far
- 20:50Speaker 4: as I've seen, he's the least dirtiest.
- 20:52Speaker 3: So like and like, let's celebrate that.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Let's celebrate something something kind of good happening instead of
- 20:59Speaker 4: old that nigga, Like I don't know it was given
- 21:01Speaker 4: hater a little, just a little bit.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I Mean, what's funny to me is that for any
- 21:07Speaker 1: of the nobility who's like grumbling about the Targarians, they
- 21:11Speaker 1: wish we were them, Like if it were them, they
- 21:16Speaker 1: wish you were them. Like if any of them get
- 21:18Speaker 1: jockey for power, they're the ones who were like we
- 21:20Speaker 1: saw it with the high towers. If any of them
- 21:22Speaker 1: can get jockey up for power and like make themselves
- 21:24Speaker 1: be on the throne. They're gonna do it. Barrathian does
- 21:27Speaker 1: it when like we see Robert Barrathian or whatever.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Like they're the.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Great houses want to the Targarians have centralized power because
- 21:35Speaker 1: they have dragons. The once the kingdoms came together and
- 21:39Speaker 1: became that they're separate kingdoms of restaurants with united under
- 21:44Speaker 1: that one iron throne, like it became strategic for all
- 21:48Speaker 1: the great houses to figure out how they can get
- 21:50Speaker 1: themselves on that throne too, along with Tigerians and Targarians
- 21:54Speaker 1: were in breeding and keeping them from being able to
- 21:58Speaker 1: do that frequently. So they are like there's a lot
- 22:01Speaker 1: of reasons to hate the Hargarians. But if you're a
- 22:04Speaker 1: great house, your squat, your beef ain't the same as
- 22:08Speaker 1: the small folks beef. So to like sit there and
- 22:11Speaker 1: be like try to bring that to Dunk when it's
- 22:14Speaker 1: like the beef you got is not the beef he's
- 22:16Speaker 1: ever going to have, and you know this, but you don't.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You're just like ready to try to like make an
- 22:20Speaker 1: equal leveling plane for between the two of you. It's
- 22:23Speaker 1: kind of like, okay, sir, I think that's possibly why
- 22:26Speaker 1: Dunk doesn't even really take Lionel's offer to heart like
- 22:31Speaker 1: he's just like, you know, I don't even want to
- 22:32Speaker 1: go with him, like I'm good.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I mean, and honestly, who wants to go to depressing
- 22:36Speaker 4: ass storms End? I mean, storm Den is not a
- 22:38Speaker 4: cute castle.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Like I don't.
- 22:40Speaker 4: It was a TikTok where they were like, if you
- 22:42Speaker 4: could choose any game of thro't castle live at?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Where would you live?
- 22:44Speaker 4: The answer it High Garden, but you could choose any castle.
- 22:47Speaker 4: And they was showing all the castle.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And I was like, you know Warden gives like cribs mtvs.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Yes, well it's like storms that is legitimately a depressing
- 22:58Speaker 4: place to be in, uh, you know, And then they
- 23:01Speaker 4: show like Harron Hall and all these other places, where
- 23:04Speaker 4: is Aaron, the errands of the Robins, nest, the bird bail,
- 23:07Speaker 4: the veil, thank you?
- 23:10Speaker 2: Second to.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Strategic, ain't nobody coming from me? Ain't nobody coming up there?
- 23:19Speaker 4: Because they most people it's not making it. But beyond
- 23:23Speaker 4: that a lot of these places are just not it.
- 23:25Speaker 4: So I understood Dunk like no, and and also Dump's
- 23:28Speaker 4: whole thing was he was done with the whole nobility
- 23:30Speaker 4: bullshit like you see, like he from Jump Street. He
- 23:35Speaker 4: came there like, I'm an I'm trying to come here
- 23:38Speaker 4: on honor. I'm trying to make a name for myself.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I'm gonna enter this tourny. I'm gonna get be like
- 23:44Speaker 4: a real night. I'm I'm gonna bring honor to the
- 23:47Speaker 4: Dollar Tree name fine and every fucking like literally every
- 23:52Speaker 4: day of the tournament, all of these quote noble people
- 23:55Speaker 4: showed him how disgusting, ratty, dishonorable, dusty, all the d
- 24:03Speaker 4: words you could think of that they are like, and
- 24:06Speaker 4: it just made and I understand that made him look
- 24:08Speaker 4: like why.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Why would I fuck with these people?
- 24:10Speaker 4: Like these people got like all of this, all of them,
- 24:14Speaker 4: And that's just why. Like in the beginning where I
- 24:16Speaker 4: was just like, you know, is he is he silly
- 24:18Speaker 4: or he's just not well educated? Right, And it was
- 24:22Speaker 4: less than that. It was he was inexperienced. And now
- 24:25Speaker 4: that he had this one experience, this major experience, life
- 24:28Speaker 4: changing really with all this, like he's understanding like, oh,
- 24:33Speaker 4: these are not these are this is not necessarily something
- 24:36Speaker 4: to aspire to to be a knight of these lords
- 24:39Speaker 4: and gold as storms and in gold as summers eve
- 24:43Speaker 4: or whatever the name of whatever it's called like that's
- 24:49Speaker 4: not something to aspire to necessarily, Like for all of that,
- 24:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna be on. I'm gonna be back in the
- 24:54Speaker 4: hedges with with thunder and lightning and the rest.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Of my horses, Like why am I wh.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Y'all it is dishonor disgrace? Indeed, I think it's all narrative.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And I think that's something that like we all what
- 25:09Speaker 1: a time right to watch the show and recognize how
- 25:13Speaker 1: much is all narrative. They tell us narratives about who
- 25:17Speaker 1: to point fingers at and why we should be scapegoating them,
- 25:21Speaker 1: much like the Royal family love to use Dunk as
- 25:24Speaker 1: their escapegoat this whole entire see.
- 25:28Speaker 3: All of them. This is Darren's fault.
- 25:31Speaker 2: It is Darren's fault, the Dunk being involved. Darn Darren.
- 25:36Speaker 2: That's that's if it was any if.
- 25:41Speaker 1: And I forget to mention Darren is the eldest son
- 25:49Speaker 1: of Maker. So as much as Arion is playing around
- 25:53Speaker 1: these games, Darren could have been checked him in the
- 25:56Speaker 1: yard like if you'll sitch a bit.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Chass down and stop, oh and will know better everybody, And.
- 26:03Speaker 2: So for me, I just like.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Dunk coming through and catch it from Macar because like
- 26:12Speaker 1: he kept getting he's been getting it all season long,
- 26:15Speaker 1: but this episode alone, he gets it from Velar because
- 26:19Speaker 1: he goes up to Veilar and says, sorry for your loss.
- 26:22Speaker 2: And Valor's gonna say some oh, why you didn't have
- 26:26Speaker 2: to be my father?
- 26:27Speaker 1: And you why not you? And that was like I
- 26:30Speaker 1: asked myself the same thing, like fuck you, you'll over
- 26:32Speaker 1: hear spoil little prince like you. Why are you putting
- 26:36Speaker 1: this on this man when? And it's like that, of
- 26:38Speaker 1: course you are, because he's not your clan.
- 26:41Speaker 2: You can't. Y'all been in fighting this whole time. You
- 26:44Speaker 2: get to show a united front to.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Keep the narrative up that y'adn stopped having in fights
- 26:48Speaker 1: because y'all just finished.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Up a war for fighting.
- 26:52Speaker 1: So you can't actually sit here and blame who you
- 26:55Speaker 1: need to blame. So you're gotta put it on this man.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, And once a, I understand how you feel.
- 27:01Speaker 4: That's your that's your pappy, that your pappy died in
- 27:05Speaker 4: your armor, which is cold.
- 27:06Speaker 3: I'm like, damn, that's fucked up. But this isn't on dump.
- 27:11Speaker 4: And this goes back to what I said about like
- 27:13Speaker 4: the Lionel's and Don Yes, it fucking was that nigga
- 27:16Speaker 4: Baylor did not They didn't have to come to none
- 27:19Speaker 4: of this. This is all because of y'all niggas.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's all starting a freaking and then secondary Arian. It's honestly,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and especially if I want to say, I I would give
- 27:31Speaker 1: Aaron the most because Darren, like he was, he's a
- 27:36Speaker 1: drunkard his father and you know, even for Darren his
- 27:38Speaker 1: I blave his father more because like.
- 27:40Speaker 2: How do you not know your son is a drunkard?
- 27:41Speaker 2: How do you know?
- 27:42Speaker 1: Like whenever he gets stressed out, gets anxious, he's gonna
- 27:45Speaker 1: he knows.
- 27:46Speaker 3: He didn't say that he was exactly with Egg.
- 27:48Speaker 4: He was like, this is my last good son left,
- 27:50Speaker 4: Like he knows.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Exactly, So you set him out on a trail for
- 27:54Speaker 1: failure and then want to ask surprise, let's not play that.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So Maker is the ultimate big dummy word worst behavior
- 28:02Speaker 1: key Targarian here and second to him is Arion. And
- 28:06Speaker 1: and Arion said, I mean Arion setting this all up
- 28:10Speaker 1: and being such a punk that he would not just
- 28:14Speaker 1: be like, okay, well I want to take you because
- 28:16Speaker 1: you know you don't get you know, you got only
- 28:18Speaker 1: a couple of minutes before he starts bodying me with
- 28:19Speaker 1: his weight. And if you if he just lets you
- 28:22Speaker 1: keep flying around, flying around, and it like takes hits
- 28:24Speaker 1: and then it starts pounding you.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Right, you're out.
- 28:27Speaker 4: And you know what's interesting because what we did find
- 28:29Speaker 4: out during attorney is Aaron can fight.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Yeah, the nigga is trained.
- 28:33Speaker 4: So he was being a bitch ass niggah number one,
- 28:37Speaker 4: like he couldn't tried. But I but as we see,
- 28:39Speaker 4: like when the going and I told y'all this because
- 28:42Speaker 4: even though shit was rough, I told y'all, Dunk is
- 28:47Speaker 4: from the gutter, Dunk is from the streets. He ain't
- 28:50Speaker 4: gonna he didn't him bitch up And it took the
- 28:55Speaker 4: power of the Dollar tree to get him up.
- 28:58Speaker 3: But he got up.
- 29:01Speaker 2: From the family artist waving between his nose. I'm up.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yes, it's just I knew, I knew. But but to
- 29:09Speaker 3: your point, back to your point.
- 29:11Speaker 4: You see, like he at the end of the day,
- 29:14Speaker 4: he gone heat from the streets and he and he's
- 29:16Speaker 4: gonna end up bodying him.
- 29:17Speaker 3: But but it's just like why are you.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Why are you are all y'all so bitch made and
- 29:23Speaker 4: multiple you're bitch made physically, your bitch made mentally, your
- 29:26Speaker 4: bitch made psychologically like it's an ship, you bitch made
- 29:30Speaker 4: emotionally like it's coward and.
- 29:34Speaker 2: You're the ones running ship.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And again, if that's not a mirror to what's happening
- 29:39Speaker 1: in the world today.
- 29:41Speaker 4: And you know, I wanted to say, oh, this is
- 29:43Speaker 4: because y'all compensating for the dragons, but y'all was acting.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Like this with the dragons too, So I'm just.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Like, at least whenever they had dragons, I actually was like,
- 29:52Speaker 1: you know what, I'm not. I'm not even gonna act
- 29:55Speaker 1: like I don't know why everybody else listening to them,
- 29:56Speaker 1: it's listening to well I know exactly I would be
- 29:59Speaker 1: listening to them any moment.
- 30:01Speaker 4: If you have a bazooka pointed at the whole realm,
- 30:04Speaker 4: then obviously I'm not going say shitn't either, but I listen.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Oh man, Yeah, I don't know. I got I got
- 30:13Speaker 4: mad all over again. But I'm sorry.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk about the next person who powered on
- 30:18Speaker 1: to Dunk about so Star. I saw this episode with
- 30:23Speaker 1: dunk On himself. He's the first and it's like, dunk
- 30:25Speaker 1: please stop. But it's him on himself.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Then it's valance always like that, and then it's.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Freaking make art when he has make make art, Summon's
- 30:39Speaker 1: dunk to him just to be like, I'm the one
- 30:43Speaker 1: who did the blow, I'm the one who caused the death.
- 30:47Speaker 3: But you what, here we go again with the ascribing
- 30:53Speaker 3: blem to someone the whipping boy. Yeah, who shouldn't be.
- 30:58Speaker 4: But not only that, trying to spread their own feeling
- 31:06Speaker 4: of guilt to others, right because they're misery.
- 31:10Speaker 3: And all this other stuff. Because he had that conversation
- 31:14Speaker 3: with him, he was just like, well, we know.
- 31:16Speaker 4: What happened, but you know what the whispers is gonna say.
- 31:18Speaker 4: People's whispering. They're gonna say, I can't.
- 31:20Speaker 2: And who's spread the whispers? Sir? Who who's in the
- 31:23Speaker 2: royal court? Who's the pr right?
- 31:26Speaker 4: But it's also like, dug, you didn't have to do that.
- 31:29Speaker 4: I mean, whether it was quote on purpose or not,
- 31:32Speaker 4: y'all are track careas, Yes, y'all are treacherous. Niggas were
- 31:34Speaker 4: gonna think this of you regardless. I think even if
- 31:38Speaker 4: he made it out, people were still gonna whisper like,
- 31:40Speaker 4: oh you know that Butcher's niggas set them up like
- 31:42Speaker 4: it's gonna happen regardless, And I don't know Mager like
- 31:46Speaker 4: maybe he's really sad, maybe he's not. I don't fucking know.
- 31:48Speaker 4: I don't know how they really fucking feel about each
- 31:50Speaker 4: other as like siblings, as blood besides the besides when
- 31:56Speaker 4: they spout in a puffy chest talking about the blood
- 31:59Speaker 4: of the dragon and all this, Like do y'all really
- 32:02Speaker 4: live for each other like that as like a record
- 32:05Speaker 4: label or y'all just.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I mean, get into it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: We saw towards the end that like even poor little
- 32:14Speaker 1: Egg is out here, like when Ben had that moment
- 32:18Speaker 1: last episode and he was like, do you think he
- 32:20Speaker 1: really wants his brother? Did? Yes?
- 32:24Speaker 4: Are y'all dragging on Dragon crime every day?
- 32:31Speaker 2: We seen this.
- 32:34Speaker 3: For years.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Yes, he wanted that nigga gone out of here, out
- 32:40Speaker 4: the paint fuck out.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yes, he wanted him un alive, as the fact.
- 32:47Speaker 1: That Mayard sitting there was the only reason why that
- 32:52Speaker 1: man did not wake up to his.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Brother, like just.
- 32:57Speaker 3: I would have absolutely if no one was there to stop.
- 33:00Speaker 4: I think Arion would have been a push pin cushion
- 33:05Speaker 4: one trillion person, one trillion because he.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Was and you could see like Egg already had the hate.
- 33:12Speaker 4: But and I don't blame him as according to all
- 33:14Speaker 4: the things he his brother has done to him.
- 33:16Speaker 3: But like he was even.
- 33:18Speaker 4: Still hyping himself up as he was walking towards the bed,
- 33:20Speaker 4: like no, I gotta get this done.
- 33:21Speaker 3: He was crying. He was crying before the father came over.
- 33:25Speaker 4: And the way that the father didn even have no
- 33:27Speaker 4: reprimanded words for egg, like ah, why would you do
- 33:30Speaker 4: that your brother?
- 33:31Speaker 3: He was like, I get it. Put his hand on
- 33:32Speaker 3: her shoulder again, cloak he.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I think that his face gave me. I tried to
- 33:37Speaker 2: do this to my father once.
- 33:39Speaker 3: So let's go back.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Oh they whispering talk about I cut my brother on purpose? Yes,
- 33:45Speaker 4: fuck Nikka you who else would it be?
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 33:50Speaker 3: And then again back to saying.
- 33:52Speaker 4: You know what they're gonna whisper about you if it
- 33:54Speaker 4: was to Dunk, if it wasn't for you, Bailey stupid
- 33:57Speaker 4: here no no, no, no, yes, I mean yes, yes,
- 34:00Speaker 4: some people are going to be thinking of that. But like,
- 34:02Speaker 4: don't again, don't subscribe your feelings of guilt and all
- 34:08Speaker 4: this other stuff to this guy who barely made it
- 34:10Speaker 4: out his damn self, And none of that should have
- 34:13Speaker 4: happened to in the first place.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I want to note because I think that was kind
- 34:17Speaker 1: of brilliant for this episode, is to start off the
- 34:19Speaker 1: episode seeing how toe up everybody is, because a lot
- 34:23Speaker 1: of times post fight scenes you just see someone like
- 34:25Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Like of a like, oh they had a bandage, or
- 34:28Speaker 2: they're in the sling or whatever.
- 34:29Speaker 1: But Duncan's over here, whole crutch. His face is like
- 34:33Speaker 1: half black or whatever. I can't see why Bossy gotta
- 34:37Speaker 1: cut boss Away is over here thinking he getting people
- 34:41Speaker 1: pregnant seven months pregnant over one night, by.
- 34:44Speaker 3: The way, And I wasn't that Who was that girl?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Wasn't that the one yirl?
- 34:50Speaker 3: Because when she popped up, I was like what you
- 34:53Speaker 3: what you mean?
- 34:54Speaker 2: Wife?
- 34:54Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, she's scammings and she was.
- 34:58Speaker 2: She was basically pulling like a phavor of part or whatever.
- 35:04Speaker 3: How far along are you this baby coming out?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Wait a minute?
- 35:10Speaker 1: But she was like five six months pregnant. All this
- 35:12Speaker 1: baby coming out now because some don't even know that
- 35:16Speaker 1: much because we know Dunk.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Don't like Sam. I just seen her and she was
- 35:22Speaker 2: smiling big in his face like.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Yes, I go why But because she knew he was
- 35:26Speaker 3: gonna say nothing.
- 35:27Speaker 4: And my thing is he's also he's mainly not gonna
- 35:29Speaker 4: say them because you see how happy Grenapple is, right,
- 35:32Speaker 4: good boy Raymond, He's he's got his little wife and
- 35:36Speaker 4: his old situations.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I was like, all right, and and we talk about
- 35:40Speaker 3: this again.
- 35:41Speaker 4: It's not so much that you're they're not dumb, they're
- 35:43Speaker 4: just uneducated, because if he was more educated, he would
- 35:45Speaker 4: understand that's just impossible that all.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Of a sudden she's pregnant, but whatever that pregnant to
- 35:50Speaker 1: be like that pregnant is comic, But I think it's
- 35:53Speaker 1: funny because I looked at it, I was like, I
- 35:55Speaker 1: can't even call this a Cinderella moment. I'm gonna call
- 35:57Speaker 1: it a pretty woman moment because like she went from
- 36:00Speaker 1: doing sex work so now she's wiped up to one
- 36:02Speaker 1: of the Nobi houses that had to come up. And
- 36:05Speaker 1: I'm not gonna hate on it. And I love that
- 36:06Speaker 1: Dunk and didn't didn't.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Like, didn't didn't blow up a spot right, let us
- 36:11Speaker 3: lie like you got it?
- 36:13Speaker 2: You got it? What did you think? I mean?
- 36:16Speaker 4: We talked touched upon it already, just like the fact
- 36:19Speaker 4: that when make our first ask Dunk to let Dunk
- 36:23Speaker 4: be let egg be the squire, and he was just like, hell, no,
- 36:26Speaker 4: I don't fuck with the princess. But then he came
- 36:28Speaker 4: back later like, okay, I'll do it, but not at.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You said Summer's end. Was it in Summer Hall?
- 36:34Speaker 4: Summer Hall? Not at Summer Hall if you got to
- 36:37Speaker 4: go on a roll with me, be my roadie? What
- 36:39Speaker 4: did you think about that approach from him?
- 36:42Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's came into the story. I think I
- 36:49Speaker 1: enjoyed that they've made it a multi part though, because initially,
- 36:52Speaker 1: like in a story, the discussion happens, and that's what
- 36:54Speaker 1: Dunk says to him when he first talks into him.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Like when they first summoned Dunks in the room, they
- 36:59Speaker 1: didn't have the back and forth where Dunk was like
- 37:00Speaker 1: I'm done, We're princess period. They like he kind of
- 37:03Speaker 1: just is like I'm good. But then he like, there
- 37:08Speaker 1: was no, you didn't. We don't see Eggon go to
- 37:11Speaker 1: try to kill his brother.
- 37:13Speaker 2: We don't see.
- 37:15Speaker 1: The things that kind of help like show like whenever
- 37:17Speaker 1: Dunk comes back to like whenever Darren stopped, Duncan was like, hey, yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 1: once Arion was a happy little prince and now he's
- 37:27Speaker 1: the monster that he is right because he's in that
- 37:30Speaker 1: fu as environment with no discipline, no nothing.
- 37:35Speaker 2: And so Duncan the story does say that.
- 37:37Speaker 1: He says, so the princess that you already have, they
- 37:41Speaker 1: didn't sleep in ditches. They got that rare steak, they
- 37:44Speaker 1: got good, rich, spoiled prince, saying did you over here
- 37:47Speaker 1: ready to put them? Put your last son through and
- 37:50Speaker 1: look at him?
- 37:51Speaker 2: You happy with that? That's what you want.
- 37:54Speaker 4: But and as I'm saying, even in the face of
- 37:56Speaker 4: like clear logic, and I guess he's a daddy, right,
- 38:00Speaker 4: make car is just like, is.
- 38:02Speaker 1: It about being daddy or is it about being like
- 38:04Speaker 1: in control of that?
- 38:07Speaker 4: I think it's that being in control, because again when
- 38:09Speaker 4: he said about well, this is my last son, like
- 38:11Speaker 4: this is my last shot for this to to raise
- 38:14Speaker 4: someone in the image of a true king, I think
- 38:18Speaker 4: it is just about control.
- 38:19Speaker 1: And knowing that Baylor raised his sons, and his sons
- 38:23Speaker 1: don't have nearly the same like bad reputation, not at
- 38:29Speaker 1: all to his two eldest travesties, the other one going
- 38:35Speaker 1: to be a master.
- 38:36Speaker 2: He got himself.
- 38:36Speaker 1: He was like, that's the one that's smart enough to
- 38:38Speaker 1: be like I ain't here for that, I got I
- 38:39Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. And another one also dipped,
- 38:42Speaker 1: but just dipped to dunk. So yeah, that goes your parenthood.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Like if you wanted to display of how people think
- 38:50Speaker 1: about how your parents within your own house, your children
- 38:53Speaker 1: are like nah.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Egg is a compulsive liar.
- 38:57Speaker 4: That's one thing that I don't think is ever gonna
- 38:59Speaker 4: get out that little boy system.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Well you know, I mean.
- 39:03Speaker 4: He's doing it for good reasons, you know, relatively speaking,
- 39:07Speaker 4: but he is a compulsive flyer.
- 39:10Speaker 2: I just think it. You know, here's the thing. He's
- 39:12Speaker 2: also a prince, so learned behavior.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yes, also he is like I want to give a
- 39:21Speaker 1: special moment to the costume designer the drip for his
- 39:25Speaker 1: funeral wear. It's probably the best drip I've seen a
- 39:28Speaker 1: Targarian ware for seasons.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:31Speaker 4: No, no, the costuming overall of the series, but yes,
- 39:36Speaker 4: as of the funeral pire and all the funeral pier scene.
- 39:40Speaker 4: And it's a beautiful, absolutely gorgeous word gorgeous costume.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I was like, this looks like he is about to
- 39:47Speaker 1: go to the wall or something like he needs that
- 39:48Speaker 1: extra little fort fer Larry or whatever.
- 39:50Speaker 4: He's like, yeah, yeah, it was given the later seasons
- 39:53Speaker 4: then there because the nearest costumes was going hard towards
- 39:55Speaker 4: the end too, So I will I agree, yeah, yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 4: so when eggs But the fact, like this principliness it's
- 40:01Speaker 4: shown there, right, this is the first time I really
- 40:03Speaker 4: seen Egg, like we've seen him and other Targerian gears,
- 40:06Speaker 4: like he's kind of just like he was a kind
- 40:08Speaker 4: of like transitioned egg to targarian, but this is like
- 40:10Speaker 4: full on targarian Egg. And I think as he's wearing that,
- 40:17Speaker 4: he's also embodying like like the whole time he's moved
- 40:21Speaker 4: that way, Like whenever things were happening with Dunk and
- 40:23Speaker 4: he was like giving his opinion about it, and like
- 40:26Speaker 4: Junk was like, what do you know or whatever, and
- 40:27Speaker 4: He's like, well.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I mean I know a lot because I actually.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Actually books, I know what's happening.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Yeah, he really doesn't know a lot, and it's a
- 40:36Speaker 4: lot that he's running from, which, as I said, like
- 40:39Speaker 4: learned behavior because he's running from being a targer and
- 40:42Speaker 4: he's running from alleged and supposed destiny. What do they
- 40:46Speaker 4: say the seeds of Mannus are sewn in the wounds
- 40:49Speaker 4: when a Targarian is born or whatever. So it's like
- 40:53Speaker 4: it's bound to happen, right, like type shit when it
- 40:56Speaker 4: comes to these people and eat like.
- 40:58Speaker 1: A coin toss, like yeah, you don't know which is
- 41:00Speaker 1: gonna flip.
- 41:01Speaker 4: And even there is a tinge of self hate too,
- 41:05Speaker 4: like well maybe more than the hinge.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're gonna if you hate the target, you
- 41:09Speaker 1: hate yourself because you're a targarian.
- 41:11Speaker 2: So if you hate, yeah, but you don't hit yourself.
- 41:14Speaker 4: I mean if he shaved his whole head and just
- 41:17Speaker 4: shouldn't even have the wherewithal as a child, even though
- 41:20Speaker 4: he's not the tiniest shot, but like still like to
- 41:22Speaker 4: just do that.
- 41:24Speaker 3: And then like even that scene like right.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Before he went to try to offer his brother, he
- 41:28Speaker 4: was looking at his hair growing back and you saw
- 41:30Speaker 4: that platinum blonde, and he like became enraged because remember
- 41:34Speaker 4: that scene way back when when when his brother said,
- 41:36Speaker 4: you know all, you know, you look like me when
- 41:38Speaker 4: you have your hair out or whatever what you do
- 41:40Speaker 4: to your hair.
- 41:40Speaker 3: He don't want to be him. He don't want to
- 41:42Speaker 3: go near that man.
- 41:43Speaker 4: He don't want to even appear in his image by
- 41:46Speaker 4: any means, and even just as a target.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Aarya and you saw how quick.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Towards the end when he was lying talking about oh,
- 41:51Speaker 4: I'm good to go, how he threw on them rags
- 41:54Speaker 4: real quick, right, And they look like they have a
- 41:56Speaker 4: little green hue too, a little bit of a green hue.
- 41:59Speaker 4: But the point is he threw on them rags asam.
- 42:01Speaker 4: He was like, Nope, I'm gonna live as a commoner
- 42:04Speaker 4: in the streets with my boy.
- 42:06Speaker 3: We gonna be good.
- 42:07Speaker 1: And sadly, that's kind of like it's kind of like
- 42:11Speaker 1: he's doing his own therapist because he's like, I gotta
- 42:13Speaker 1: get away from here before I about to murder someone,
- 42:15Speaker 1: and that someone is gonna be my brother, and I
- 42:17Speaker 1: can't go out like that.
- 42:18Speaker 2: I can't be the murderer of my brother.
- 42:20Speaker 1: And like, think about it, he just went to the
- 42:22Speaker 1: funeral basically of his father murdering his brother, and now
- 42:26Speaker 1: he's sitting here was about to murder his brother and
- 42:30Speaker 1: then his father is the one, like you know what
- 42:32Speaker 1: I mean?
- 42:33Speaker 2: The levels, the how.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Much Targarian on Tigerian on, Tigerian on Tigarian Ild, Violet
- 42:39Speaker 1: Dragon on the Dragon Violent since House of Dragon, you
- 42:43Speaker 1: know what I mean? This is like ye're going We're
- 42:45Speaker 1: gonna go right, back into the thin of it.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Takically start at the first Game of Thrones, remember John
- 42:51Speaker 4: Snow and theirs.
- 42:53Speaker 2: He started even before that.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Was Visaras and Danny, like the Targerians don't know how
- 42:59Speaker 1: to bet Targanians without corrupting each other.
- 43:04Speaker 4: He talked a lot about like Egg teaching Dunk, which
- 43:07Speaker 4: is that's a symbiotic relationship that they have, Like Dunk
- 43:10Speaker 4: is one hundred percent teaching Egg to like live life,
- 43:14Speaker 4: real live it in the image of the of the
- 43:16Speaker 4: small folk, living it in with with by humble means
- 43:22Speaker 4: not to rely on nobility and princehood and all the
- 43:26Speaker 4: other stuff.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Like he's teaching him.
- 43:27Speaker 4: All that, and he's teaching him in the image that
- 43:30Speaker 4: he was taught from Pennytry right. And then conversely, Egg
- 43:34Speaker 4: is teaching him a lot of like common sense and
- 43:37Speaker 4: what to give and impartying.
- 43:40Speaker 3: In him a sense of like not just understanding.
- 43:44Speaker 4: But like giving him more wherewithal like why like just
- 43:49Speaker 4: like the jousting thing that happened a while ago with
- 43:51Speaker 4: with Aria and where he was like, oh that was
- 43:54Speaker 4: like like like Dunk thought it was an accident, and
- 43:56Speaker 4: he was just like, no, he killed that horse on purpose, right, like.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Just giving him that sense.
- 44:01Speaker 4: In addition, like in this episode he said to him
- 44:03Speaker 4: when he said, oh, you know the seven kingdoms, and
- 44:05Speaker 4: it was like, there's nine kingdoms, and it was like
- 44:08Speaker 4: a little back and forth, like he was like, what
- 44:09Speaker 4: are you talking about? Was that just again Dounk not
- 44:12Speaker 4: being an educator or did I miss something or I
- 44:16Speaker 4: must have missed some because I was just like, oh wait,
- 44:17Speaker 4: there are.
- 44:19Speaker 2: So Technically, so here's the thing. This is narrative. It's all.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It all comes back down to narrative.
- 44:25Speaker 1: So what happened is and you know what, I have
- 44:29Speaker 1: a concept for this for doing some lower sharing, so
- 44:35Speaker 1: we'll talk about that later.
- 44:37Speaker 2: But basically, we got to go back to the time
- 44:41Speaker 2: of sir. Wow, the wind, I'm sorry, it's okay.
- 44:46Speaker 3: We are in the like we told y'all were in
- 44:48Speaker 3: the north. We're at the wall right now.
- 44:52Speaker 2: That the fouls like the winter fells. Oh my god, Okay,
- 44:57Speaker 2: winter is coming.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Winter is here.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It's here.
- 45:00Speaker 1: The night King is whistling, and I'm just like, wow, okay,
- 45:03Speaker 1: so ag gone the Conqueror. When he conquered newst Roast.
- 45:08Speaker 1: What had happened is that there's two there's there are
- 45:11Speaker 1: three great dragons and egg Gone the Conqueror rode the biggest, blackest,
- 45:19Speaker 1: the black dread the.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Like huge hit the sky.
- 45:23Speaker 1: You didn't see the sun eclipse was coming, and this
- 45:26Speaker 1: is the first that west Ross is seeing this, and
- 45:29Speaker 1: it's coming to the houses and being like, so we've
- 45:32Speaker 1: been quiet on Dragonstone for you know, a couple of decades,
- 45:35Speaker 1: like just like that was our summer house. But now
- 45:37Speaker 1: we decided, since our hometown has gone under, we're gonna
- 45:43Speaker 1: take over this place, and y'all gonna just capture, like
- 45:46Speaker 1: actually answer to us. And the different great houses were
- 45:51Speaker 1: like this bitmashit.
- 45:53Speaker 2: You can try, but I know that.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Me and my homeboy across the way, we ain't gonna
- 45:58Speaker 1: play that. So Eggon and his sisters also his wives
- 46:05Speaker 1: come through with their dragons, and one at a time
- 46:09Speaker 1: they make people see the air of their ways. Sometimes
- 46:12Speaker 1: that's just a straight up burning. That's what happens to
- 46:14Speaker 1: hair in Hall. Sometimes people like, you know what I
- 46:18Speaker 1: heard about hair and Hall. I heard about destruction over
- 46:19Speaker 1: here over there.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I don't want that. I don't want the heat you
- 46:22Speaker 2: got it.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a little bit of negotiation that's kind of
- 46:26Speaker 1: like what happened at Winterfel for a little bit.
- 46:29Speaker 2: M kind of.
- 46:30Speaker 1: So that's how the seven Kingdoms. I'm not going into
- 46:35Speaker 1: lot of deta y'all don't want to people know more stuff.
- 46:37Speaker 1: But that's how the seven kingdoms come to be. Is
- 46:39Speaker 1: that seven of the different kingdoms that the Targarians were like,
- 46:43Speaker 1: y'all gonna freaking bow to us, y'all gonna answer to us,
- 46:46Speaker 1: and then they built it down the source and created
- 46:47Speaker 1: the Iron Throne. Because there's kingdoms, they became one. That's
- 46:52Speaker 1: what we got seven kingdoms from that, right. What also
- 46:56Speaker 1: happened is that Dorn is like a land. It's connected
- 46:59Speaker 1: by a do they're too basically the area around the
- 47:02Speaker 1: Reach where High Garden and Old Town and stuff is.
- 47:05Speaker 1: And multiple times throughout the generations, the Targarians decide they're
- 47:08Speaker 1: going to try to go conquer Dorn.
- 47:10Speaker 3: And Doe is like we're Dorn, Like no, yeah, the
- 47:15Speaker 3: fucks do you think that is?
- 47:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:17Speaker 2: In this current time period, at least one of.
- 47:20Speaker 1: The Targarians actually like was able to figure out marrying
- 47:26Speaker 1: into Dorn or whatever enough for Dorn to be like,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I technically okay, but I guess we're kind of part
- 47:35Speaker 1: of this or whatever. So that's become that's the eighth kingdom, okay,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and then the ninth I think I'm trying to remember
- 47:43Speaker 1: what that is.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Is it the villa?
- 47:45Speaker 1: It's they are there, but no, everyone officially dishonors. The
- 47:49Speaker 1: idea of the seven Kingdom is like there's fifty states,
- 47:53Speaker 1: but we also have Guam in Puerto Rico and like
- 47:56Speaker 1: other places that we haven't made officially parts of the
- 47:59Speaker 1: United States, but the territories of the United States.
- 48:01Speaker 3: That's what you're saying.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Okay, So that's basically what's happening with the seven Kingdoms
- 48:05Speaker 1: versus nine kingdoms thing that Egg's talking about. So Egg's right,
- 48:09Speaker 1: and also narrative is happening so that we're only honoring
- 48:14Speaker 1: the seven because and John also does back out at
- 48:20Speaker 1: some point and like fuck y'all seriously, Yeah, and it's
- 48:22Speaker 1: really the seven.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool. But's like the trivia and
- 48:27Speaker 4: the like you said, the lore and all that stuff.
- 48:28Speaker 4: That's that's pretty cool, cause I'm just like, what's he
- 48:30Speaker 4: talking about?
- 48:31Speaker 2: Like that I missed upthing?
- 48:32Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, you know, as we were we round out
- 48:37Speaker 4: like the end of the episode, one of the major
- 48:39Speaker 4: things that has been a huge presence again physically, mentally,
- 48:44Speaker 4: emotionally has been Sir Arlen, right, And they almost did
- 48:48Speaker 4: a like Paul Walker fast and furious kind of thing,
- 48:54Speaker 4: like at the end when they were on their horses,
- 48:57Speaker 4: when when Dunk and Egg were going, We're away in
- 49:00Speaker 4: the field of gold and the I assume the ghost
- 49:04Speaker 4: of Sir Arland was like traveling with him, and then
- 49:08Speaker 4: you know, veered off into the sunset away, you know.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Towards the trees and stuff. That.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Don't tell me that was not on some faster furio
- 49:16Speaker 4: for a walk. And shit, remember when that was the
- 49:18Speaker 4: same thing. When it was it was hearing.
- 49:21Speaker 2: The song in my head when I see you.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Kids, right, you know, the Vind's on her name right,
- 49:29Speaker 4: is on my side, and you know Paul goes off
- 49:31Speaker 4: to you know, fast and furious heaven or whatever, same thing.
- 49:35Speaker 3: With pedantry, and I want that.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I ain't mean it.
- 49:38Speaker 3: It's a comedic way.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I just thought about it, but I heard the song
- 49:42Speaker 1: and I couldn't start more seriously.
- 49:46Speaker 3: I was just like the force that this man has.
- 49:49Speaker 4: Been in Dunk's life, like the character that was built,
- 49:54Speaker 4: you know, ever since obviously since Dunk was a kid
- 49:57Speaker 4: and you know, he literally found him on the side
- 49:59Speaker 4: of the road passed out. Like everything that makes the
- 50:02Speaker 4: makeup of Dunks, how he moves, it's all come from
- 50:09Speaker 4: what I'm seeing as his father. His father figures for Arlen,
- 50:12Speaker 4: and even like like in the most intense moments, twice
- 50:17Speaker 4: Sir Arlon saying get up, wake stand up.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like I want to note that, like
- 50:25Speaker 1: even that's kind of comedic, like the because like that
- 50:27Speaker 1: also is what came to in my head as I
- 50:29Speaker 1: was laughing, because like the fake out of Sir Arlen
- 50:32Speaker 1: given his last tale and then he's like.
- 50:41Speaker 4: I was like, oh, it wasn't it full I thought
- 50:44Speaker 4: it was full circle back to where the very beginning
- 50:47Speaker 4: where beginning he was wearing. So I thought that was
- 50:51Speaker 4: that scene. So I was like, oh, that's how he died.
- 50:53Speaker 4: I'm sat there being all serious.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it was very poignant too, because it was like
- 50:58Speaker 1: it's like we finally see the the question that been
- 51:00Speaker 1: asked the beginning of the series, do we believe that
- 51:04Speaker 1: Dunk was actually knighted by Penny Tree and he wasn't.
- 51:09Speaker 1: And then but the fact that the fact of the
- 51:11Speaker 1: matter is that he asked man like it's like is
- 51:14Speaker 1: his last question to this.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Man, why didn't unite me? And the answer is you
- 51:22Speaker 2: ain't knighted.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Sir, gonna go figure that out on this journey and this
- 51:25Speaker 1: freaking series right, the season or whatever. Right, And this
- 51:29Speaker 1: man is telling his story about the Penny Tree and.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Pass is out and Dunk is like toe up to Alan.
- 51:41Speaker 4: I mean like no, because I was with Dunk like,
- 51:43Speaker 4: oh no, he passed, he passed, you know, and then
- 51:48Speaker 4: for him to justice no, I was just like, man,
- 51:51Speaker 4: I was mad as hell. I was like, man, at
- 51:53Speaker 4: this point, you need to go because don't do that
- 51:55Speaker 4: to me.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I loved running bold esclamation like a bold face letters
- 52:02Speaker 1: a knight always finishes his story, and I think we're
- 52:08Speaker 1: going to see that would be consistent from Sir Christian Cole.
- 52:13Speaker 1: We'll get back to his punk apt and Crisco to
- 52:17Speaker 1: everything we see go forward with Duncan Egg.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Got it? Okay?
- 52:23Speaker 3: Was there anything else you wanted to mention or anything
- 52:25Speaker 3: we missed or you.
- 52:27Speaker 4: Wanted to highlight about this last episode this season finale,
- 52:32Speaker 4: not the series finale.
- 52:34Speaker 2: I also wanted to just give a little because like
- 52:36Speaker 2: this was just a.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Funny literary thing or whatever, like pun but I never
- 52:44Speaker 1: seen someone look at gift course in the mouth before,
- 52:48Speaker 1: like literally played out. And so the fact that when
- 52:53Speaker 1: Raymond foust Away bought back, Sweetfoot brought this horse over.
- 52:58Speaker 2: To Dunk and was like, here, he's your horse. Man.
- 53:02Speaker 2: I was like, that was sweet.
- 53:04Speaker 1: He's just a sweet guy, right. And then Dunk, also
- 53:07Speaker 1: a sweet guy's like, man, I can't keep this horse.
- 53:11Speaker 1: She's not my horse no more. And and then us,
- 53:16Speaker 1: Sir Raymond, is like, well, what do you want?
- 53:19Speaker 2: What do you think we should do? And he's like,
- 53:21Speaker 2: I think that she should go with you, she should
- 53:22Speaker 2: go to the orchardy orchard. And he's like, well, she
- 53:26Speaker 2: is a nice horse.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Like you don't even it wasn't that much of a hesitation.
- 53:30Speaker 3: He was like are you sure?
- 53:33Speaker 2: He was, well, she is a nice horse. I ain't
- 53:34Speaker 2: gonna lie. He's a repetting her. He's like, you she
- 53:36Speaker 2: like apples, and and Douck is like yeah, because the
- 53:39Speaker 2: last thing he told the.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Stable mess to give us, like give her some work,
- 53:43Speaker 1: some apples, right, And then here it is, She's going
- 53:45Speaker 1: to go live at an orchard.
- 53:47Speaker 2: It's super sweet. And then he even shares half.
- 53:50Speaker 1: His green apple of his new schedule house with this horse,
- 53:54Speaker 1: he started taking his journey, and it was just yeah,
- 53:58Speaker 1: was cute.
- 53:58Speaker 2: It was cute.
- 53:59Speaker 1: But also again I'd never seen because I've heard that
- 54:02Speaker 1: phrase never live a gift and.
- 54:06Speaker 4: Here, so this was like a literal representation.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 4: Yeah, And and and you mentioned the shield just reminded
- 54:13Speaker 4: me just like you know, we see Dunk, shield is
- 54:16Speaker 4: all fucked up, but you know still got that.
- 54:18Speaker 2: That's Mary.
- 54:20Speaker 4: And again another brilliant take you from the last episode
- 54:23Speaker 4: you made, just how it was very very much Iron
- 54:26Speaker 4: Man versus Cat scene with the with the shield and
- 54:29Speaker 4: all that. But but the but the oak tree, so
- 54:31Speaker 4: is it an oak tree or is it a different
- 54:34Speaker 4: tree elm? Think it the elm tree still standing right,
- 54:36Speaker 4: still strong, still there, so and Dunk is still standing,
- 54:41Speaker 4: Egg is still standing. We are going to see now
- 54:44Speaker 4: they're going to go on their wacky high jinks and
- 54:46Speaker 4: their travels. As mentioned earlier, they are already filming season
- 54:51Speaker 4: two and allegedly supposed to premiere like in twenty twenty
- 54:55Speaker 4: six at some point so later this year, which is crazy.
- 54:58Speaker 4: If it does, I'm like, oh wow. Before that though,
- 55:02Speaker 4: we're gonna get house with Dragon in June.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Rainaer in them and you know we again.
- 55:10Speaker 4: I'm just this this was an amazing episode A plus
- 55:14Speaker 4: the whole season. I also had to say a plus
- 55:16Speaker 4: as mentioned before. I just think it was just so
- 55:18Speaker 4: for refreshing to see things on from a different perspective,
- 55:21Speaker 4: and to also get the comedy in and get the lightness,
- 55:25Speaker 4: and to also learn that sometimes brevity is really important
- 55:29Speaker 4: and really is most powerful when storytelling. You don't necessarily
- 55:32Speaker 4: have to fill in every freaking blank and give so
- 55:36Speaker 4: much extra detail and so many extra filler episodes.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Sometimes what you get is good enough.
- 55:41Speaker 4: And that's my general take on everything a Night of
- 55:45Speaker 4: the Seven Kingdoms, any last words on you from you
- 55:48Speaker 4: about the season the episode.
- 55:51Speaker 1: My take is like it's all it's all coming down
- 55:53Speaker 1: a narrative right across the board, and the narrative they
- 55:56Speaker 1: try to give us with this final episode like as
- 55:58Speaker 1: the like coda, it's the kind of tell us why,
- 56:01Speaker 1: like what actually is at piece here at least from
- 56:03Speaker 1: the like the noble side for the Tigerians is that
- 56:07Speaker 1: nothing good comes of nobility, like sinking down to the
- 56:11Speaker 1: level of like the small folk or whatever, or like
- 56:13Speaker 1: hitch knights or whatever, and then they create dunk as
- 56:18Speaker 1: the scapegoat, but they're essentially just reinforcing all the bad
- 56:23Speaker 1: behaviors they've already created with like the spoiled princess, and
- 56:27Speaker 1: so they were trying to make him the escapegoat.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Only for the last scene that we.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Get being the now the heir to the throne because Baylor,
- 56:40Speaker 1: who was the heir to the throne, is now out.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Technically his sons.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Are higher in the hierarchy than their uncle Maker is
- 56:49Speaker 1: because reasons, but that's.
- 56:52Speaker 2: He's like now close higher in line to the throne
- 56:54Speaker 2: than he was.
- 56:56Speaker 1: He's being now he is the like the cold because
- 57:00Speaker 1: his son that he's so adamant that he was going
- 57:03Speaker 1: to control, has evaded him.
- 57:06Speaker 2: And now he's looking around and looking.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Again twice again by the same sun or once again,
- 57:12Speaker 1: so and then where's that son going with the same
- 57:15Speaker 1: basic hedge night that he and his sons and everyone
- 57:19Speaker 1: in the hare tried to railroad into not sticking up
- 57:23Speaker 1: for himself or living actually because the Chilot seven is
- 57:27Speaker 1: basically trying to call for his death. So I just
- 57:30Speaker 1: like the symmetry in that. I like the symmetry of
- 57:33Speaker 1: like the whole season being this discussion between high houses,
- 57:37Speaker 1: rich people versus like the have nots and the regular folks.
- 57:41Speaker 1: And at least at the end of this season we
- 57:44Speaker 1: end with We're up.
- 57:47Speaker 4: We up. This small folk is up ten to one
- 57:51Speaker 4: one twenty We up all right, y'all. That has been
