- 0:00Speaker 1: Marximoni's back on seventeen wor well, a lot going on,
- 0:11Speaker 1: a lot going on. So we were talking about this
- 0:15Speaker 1: incident in Maine. Ice killed someone. It looked pretty justified.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Even witnesses said the guy was in his car trying
- 0:23Speaker 1: to run in to run over the Ice agents. They
- 0:25Speaker 1: ordered him to stop, get out of his car. Instead,
- 0:28Speaker 1: he took his car and tried to basically kill themself.
- 0:32Speaker 1: And again witnesses say that there's no body cam footage
- 0:35Speaker 1: yet revealed, but again you got multiple witnesses. It'll become
- 0:41Speaker 1: they're trying to make this. Democrats trying to make this
- 0:43Speaker 1: a big story. It's all over CNN and MSNBC, but
- 0:47Speaker 1: they can't seem to get it to really catch on.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It's not big, big news everywhere, but they're trying to
- 0:53Speaker 1: make it so. And in Maine they're especially trying to
- 0:56Speaker 1: make it big news because they think it'll help them
- 0:58Speaker 1: in the election to defeat Susan Collins, the main, longtime
- 1:04Speaker 1: main senator. Now, she's not a big Trump supporter, she's
- 1:08Speaker 1: not a Trumpie, she's not a MAGA, she's not a
- 1:11Speaker 1: big Ice support. It's actually probably going to help her
- 1:14Speaker 1: in the long run. Now, I don't think they realize
- 1:16Speaker 1: that they're going to play this up, not realizing in
- 1:18Speaker 1: the end she'll benefit fit from it. I mean, they've
- 1:21Speaker 1: got to find themselves a candidate, and Susan Collins always
- 1:25Speaker 1: in the end seems to get re elected. So things
- 1:29Speaker 1: look look pretty good for her. You know, you got
- 1:33Speaker 1: all these main people yelling and screaming about it.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And the question is what did he do with his vehicle?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Were officers threatened? Were the threats rising to the level
- 1:45Speaker 2: that justified deadly force?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it looks like they did, and there's witnesses. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't see how they're going to make much out
- 1:52Speaker 1: of that. Governor hokel one year ban on data centers
- 1:57Speaker 1: in New York. All right, these data centers, we need
- 2:01Speaker 1: this for AI. You know, as much as people love AI,
- 2:04Speaker 1: I don't think they realize it uses like a million
- 2:06Speaker 1: times more electricity than regular Internet Google searches. It uses
- 2:11Speaker 1: a ton of electricity, and it takes massive data centers.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And you think, well, that'd be great to have a
- 2:17Speaker 1: big data center in art. No, because the problem is
- 2:19Speaker 1: the data center uses up all the electricity in the town,
- 2:22Speaker 1: uses up all the water supply. They're trying to figure
- 2:26Speaker 1: this all out, how they can power these things and
- 2:29Speaker 1: what they can do for water. But in the meantime,
- 2:32Speaker 1: Kathy Hockel one year ban on data centers. That may
- 2:35Speaker 1: not be a bad thing, to take a pause for
- 2:38Speaker 1: a year and figure out if we really want these
- 2:40Speaker 1: or not. Let's say it works out elsewhere, So it's
- 2:45Speaker 1: possible Kathy Hochel actually did a smart thing here. As
- 2:48Speaker 1: they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day,
- 2:52Speaker 1: so it could have happened. There's a new study out
- 2:55Speaker 1: that shows there are a lot of millionaires leaving New York.
- 2:58Speaker 1: In fact, so many left from New York that we
- 3:02Speaker 1: lost eleven billion dollars in tax revenue in the past year.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Eleven billion lost because of all these millionaires leaving. Now,
- 3:11Speaker 1: you remember the millionaires and zillionaires, they pay all the tax.
- 3:14Speaker 1: The top one percent pays like a forty nine percent
- 3:17Speaker 1: of the tax. The top ten percent pays like ninety
- 3:21Speaker 1: nine percent of it. So you really don't want to
- 3:24Speaker 1: lose them. You're losing tons and tons and tons of revenue.
- 3:28Speaker 1: New York has lost more population to every state than
- 3:32Speaker 1: it has gained from them. When New York loses population,
- 3:36Speaker 1: who benefits the most. Florida and Texas biggest recipients of
- 3:40Speaker 1: ex New Yorkers. Many of them very wealthy, so they
- 3:43Speaker 1: provide a lot of tax revenue. Number of millionaires in
- 3:47Speaker 1: New York it used to be almost thirteen percent. Now
- 3:49Speaker 1: it's eight percent. That's a big drop. That's millionaires. It
- 3:57Speaker 1: keeps dropping off. We don't course correct and get laser
- 4:02Speaker 1: focused on keeping these people here. It's not good. You're
- 4:06Speaker 1: going to lose a lot of tax revenue. Also as
- 4:09Speaker 1: a result, you're losing a lot of businesses. The number
- 4:11Speaker 1: of small businesses actually decreased in New York. That's a
- 4:14Speaker 1: very bad thing. The city council speaker, who's pretty good,
- 4:17Speaker 1: Julie men and she's pretty common sense, a Democrat, but
- 4:21Speaker 1: a common sense one, has been really really trying to
- 4:24Speaker 1: talk about this the last couple of days. We can't
- 4:27Speaker 1: have less small business now than before. It's just not
- 4:30Speaker 1: going to be a good thing. Top ex Iranian commander
- 4:36Speaker 1: Iranian military leader says that Iran can assassinate Trump any
- 4:41Speaker 1: time they want. They can do it inside the White
- 4:44Speaker 1: House if they want. We are capable, he says. Now
- 4:48Speaker 1: this is tradition in that part of the world where
- 4:50Speaker 1: they just make these ridiculous claims. Remember Sodom Hussein made
- 4:54Speaker 1: all those kind of claims when we went to work
- 4:58Speaker 1: and claiming he was going to wipe us out in
- 5:00Speaker 1: two seconds, he could destroy the whole country. They've able
- 5:03Speaker 1: to make these kind of ridiculous claims. But the Iranians,
- 5:07Speaker 1: this is a former general, he said, the country is
- 5:10Speaker 1: not actually aiming for peace. That's not their aim. We
- 5:15Speaker 1: are not negotiating for peace with Trump and his criminal
- 5:19Speaker 1: aids and the negotiations. We are only seeking to restore
- 5:22Speaker 1: our rights and clarify the accusations made against us by
- 5:27Speaker 1: the United States. As for revenge and retaliation, it's on
- 5:31Speaker 1: the table. Well, and of course the accusations are true.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It's a Ran that was funding and financing and backing
- 5:39Speaker 1: hesbala hamas hoodies. They're the biggest sponsor of terrorism all
- 5:44Speaker 1: over the world, no doubt about that from anybody. Hey,
- 5:49Speaker 1: some suburban news. Now you could argue, where's it better
- 5:54Speaker 1: to live right in the middle of the big city
- 5:56Speaker 1: or out in the nice, beautiful Bucolic suburbs. Well, I
- 6:00Speaker 1: don't know. I look at right here in the big city.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Although I spend a lot of time out in the suburbs.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But some people think I would never live in that city.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It's dangerous. I want to be in the suburbs. Now,
- 6:11Speaker 1: let's take Connecticut for instance. You're living in beautiful Connecticut,
- 6:15Speaker 1: grass and trees and so scenic. Look and listen to
- 6:18Speaker 1: this story. Number of bears entering homes increasing at an
- 6:25Speaker 1: alarming rate in Connecticut. That's one thing to be out
- 6:28Speaker 1: in your yard and there's a bear, or you're having
- 6:30Speaker 1: a barbecue and a bear shows up, But they're now
- 6:34Speaker 1: entering homes at an alarming rate Connecticut in just this
- 6:38Speaker 1: year is confirmed thirty one home entries by bears. Now
- 6:44Speaker 1: as frightening as it might be to look out and
- 6:46Speaker 1: see a bear in your yard, are you imagine seeing
- 6:50Speaker 1: a bear in your living room? I don't even know
- 6:53Speaker 1: what are you supposed to do? Just leave your house run.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It's the most frightening thing I've ever heard of. It's
- 7:00Speaker 1: increasing dramatically. Officials say it's because bears are getting more
- 7:07Speaker 1: and more used to people. They're getting more comfortable around people,
- 7:10Speaker 1: they're not afraid of them. They've also come to realize
- 7:13Speaker 1: that where there's people, there's food. There's always food around people.
- 7:18Speaker 1: They've been coming into yards because they go through the garbage.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Or if you have a barbecue and you know, that
- 7:23Speaker 1: thing just sends out the smell of food in every
- 7:25Speaker 1: direction and attracts bears. And if you have garbage and
- 7:29Speaker 1: it's not, you know, all sealed and everything, it attracts
- 7:33Speaker 1: unsecured trash and bird feeders are the two biggest reasons
- 7:37Speaker 1: bears will come to your house. There's other reasons, but
- 7:41Speaker 1: now more and more they're entering homes. They're going through windows,
- 7:44Speaker 1: through screen doors. They will not stop a bear if
- 7:49Speaker 1: they smell food and you know it's in your kitchen,
- 7:52Speaker 1: or they'll smell food. More and more bears entering homes.
- 7:57Speaker 1: There's another reason to live here in the city, not
- 8:01Speaker 1: out in the suburbs. There are I'll tell you one
- 8:05Speaker 1: thing the suburbs have that's better than anything in the city. Supermarkets.
- 8:10Speaker 1: We don't have the greatest supermarkets. You know, they're mostly
- 8:14Speaker 1: just kind of regular old supermarkets. They're small, they're cramped.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It's right in the middle of the New York City.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You got Butterfields. There's two of them in Manhattan. They're
- 8:23Speaker 1: much more, you know, higher end, but even they're not
- 8:26Speaker 1: that big. You go to the suburbs. They got supermarkets
- 8:30Speaker 1: that go for miles. There's Stu Leonards, it's ten miles long.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You ever been in a Wegmans in the suburbs. You
- 8:35Speaker 1: couldn't even go up and down. There's like one hundred
- 8:38Speaker 1: and fifty aisles. You know, when you ask somebody where
- 8:40Speaker 1: something is, they don't say, oh, it's Aisle three, it's
- 8:43Speaker 1: Aisle one, one hundred and twenty seven. You need a
- 8:46Speaker 1: golf cart this shop there. So that's an advantage of
- 8:49Speaker 1: the suburbs. Hey, the best one is my favorite is
- 8:51Speaker 1: Uncle Giuseppes. They're all over Long Island. There's a couple
- 8:55Speaker 1: in New Jersey Uncle Giuseppes. It's like the Italian Wegmans.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's unbelievable. If you're ever out in Long Island, wherever
- 9:04Speaker 1: there is, just going to Uncle Giuseppes, you will be
- 9:07Speaker 1: stunned at how great it is. It's absolutely incredible. They're
- 9:10Speaker 1: opening a new one Wheatley Plaza. Was that Greenvale? This
- 9:16Speaker 1: is how big they are. They're opening this new supermarket.
- 9:18Speaker 1: The company wants to hire two hundred and fifty people
- 9:21Speaker 1: for the supermarket. They're actually looking for one thousand team members.
- 9:25Speaker 1: In the next year they're opening, Oh, they're opening a
- 9:27Speaker 1: couple more in New Jersey, Pennsylvania. There should be a
- 9:31Speaker 1: law passed that Uncle Giuseppes has to open in Manhattan
- 9:34Speaker 1: and that's it and Connecticut. But they're really it's an
- 9:38Speaker 1: amazing place. You've ever been to Italy? You know that
- 9:41Speaker 1: looks pretty cool? Uncle Giuseppes is that times like twenty thousand?
- 9:47Speaker 1: As long as you're tving Long Island. Also, congratulations London Jewelers,
- 9:50Speaker 1: one of the great great Long Island stores. London Jewelers
- 9:53Speaker 1: celebrating their hundredth anniversary. Great people that run. That's Mark
- 9:58Speaker 1: you Dell and his wife Candy, and it's like third
- 10:02Speaker 1: generation London Jewelers. They opened a Short Hills mall and
- 10:06Speaker 1: they're all over the place and they're great friends of
- 10:09Speaker 1: iHeart and they're doing just wonderful work. Congratulations on one
- 10:13Speaker 1: hundred years. John Stewart, this guy is crazier and crazier.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So he has Jack Smith on the show. You know,
- 10:24Speaker 1: the bug eyed weirdo with the cape that went after Trump,
- 10:27Speaker 1: the dirty prosecutor who's whenever they need a hit man
- 10:31Speaker 1: to go after some political enemy, they always bring in
- 10:34Speaker 1: Jack Smith. So when it was time to get Trump,
- 10:36Speaker 1: they flew him in from like halfway around the world,
- 10:39Speaker 1: right in Washington, d C. Twenty five hundred guys who
- 10:43Speaker 1: would have been perfect for special counsel, but they went
- 10:45Speaker 1: halfway around the world to get this hitman to come in.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So I don't know why, because that case is long gone,
- 10:53Speaker 1: the document's case at mar A Lago. And it turned
- 10:55Speaker 1: out Jack Smith was lying about everything. Turned out there
- 10:58Speaker 1: weren't boxes of classified documents. In the end, all he
- 11:02Speaker 1: found were thirty five If you put him in a folder,
- 11:06Speaker 1: that folder is one inch thick, so it's one inch
- 11:08Speaker 1: of one box. He never made clear that all the
- 11:11Speaker 1: boxes and those pictures were not classified documents. But John
- 11:15Speaker 1: Stewart has the guy on and is drooling all over him,
- 11:19Speaker 1: fawning all over him. I mean, jacksmanth had to wear
- 11:22Speaker 1: a bib for this interview. John Stewart is drooling all
- 11:25Speaker 1: over this guy. And then he talked about he said
- 11:28Speaker 1: he was overwhelmed by his manly manness. I mean, if
- 11:35Speaker 1: you're looking for if you were casting a movie, I
- 11:38Speaker 1: knew a manly man look. Would you bring in Jack Smith,
- 11:41Speaker 1: this scrawny, bug eyed weirdo with the Cape. I don't
- 11:45Speaker 1: think so. He's John Stewart fawning all of them say, Oh,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I see a guy like you. I just literally want
- 11:51Speaker 1: to do shots with you. You look so manly. Now,
- 11:55Speaker 1: this will give you an idea how warped, how out
- 11:57Speaker 1: of touch John Stewart is with reality. He said, you
- 12:00Speaker 1: see this guy and you just want to go to
- 12:02Speaker 1: a Giants game with him? Can you picture Jack Smith
- 12:05Speaker 1: at a Giants game? I don't think so. I mean,
- 12:09Speaker 1: he looks like he's not a football fan, looks more
- 12:11Speaker 1: like the birdwatcher, a stamp collector type of guy. Hey,
- 12:16Speaker 1: Alec Baldwin, they always obnoxious, unpleasant. Alec Baldwin. He and
- 12:25Speaker 1: his wife Hilaria. You know, they've had this Hampton's mansion
- 12:29Speaker 1: for years, this mansion that they've been living in. They
- 12:34Speaker 1: live in Manhattan, but they've got this mansion in the
- 12:35Speaker 1: Hamptons selling for about thirty million dollars, but nobody wants it,
- 12:41Speaker 1: so they keep lowering the price. It was thirty million,
- 12:43Speaker 1: it was twenty five million, and then they brought it
- 12:46Speaker 1: down to nineteen million. That's a big drop from thirty million.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And it's been on the market for three years. Nobody
- 12:54Speaker 1: wants it, and they just delisted it. They finally took
- 12:59Speaker 1: it off the mark market. That's it. It's off the market.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think it's because of Alec Baldwin. You know how
- 13:06Speaker 1: sometimes the house is great, but its people know it's
- 13:09Speaker 1: a haunted house. Nobody wants it. It's known to be haunted.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I think this has kind of this Alec Baldwin stink
- 13:15Speaker 1: all over this house, because if you look at the pictures,
- 13:17Speaker 1: there's even a video tour online, it looks like one
- 13:20Speaker 1: of those big Hampton's mansions. But nobody wants this thing.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It's an amagansett. It's ten thousand square feet, seven bedrooms,
- 13:28Speaker 1: nine bathrooms. It has a wood paneled library, it has
- 13:33Speaker 1: a movie theater, a wine room, a pool, and a spa.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And nobody wants it. And things are sounding like crazy
- 13:40Speaker 1: in the Hamptons. It's a big, big seller's market right now.
- 13:44Speaker 1: So it's on three point two acres, it has a
- 13:47Speaker 1: lot of land. I mean, it's got to be Alec Baldwin.
- 13:50Speaker 1: It looks pretty nice. Houses are sounding like crazy. This
- 13:54Speaker 1: is like four years. Nobody will buy this house. Nobody
- 13:57Speaker 1: even looks at it. They just delisted it. Tells you
- 14:00Speaker 1: what even people in the Hampton's think. Alec Baldwin. Anyway,
- 14:05Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. Hey, we're always This week
- 14:08Speaker 1: we won a lot of new callers, a lot of
- 14:10Speaker 1: new people that haven't called before. We'll take some calls next.
- 14:13Speaker 1: The number is eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Is the number eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 14:22Speaker 1: ten
