SPEAKER_01: Oh, hey, hi.
0:30
SPEAKER_01: How are you?
0:31
SPEAKER_04: I'm good.
0:32
SPEAKER_04: How are you?
0:33
SPEAKER_01: I am good.
0:33
SPEAKER_01: Like everything went wrong like two seconds before this little intro ended.
0:39
SPEAKER_01: I have something in my eye or on my eyelash, and I was trying to get at it really quick.
0:44
SPEAKER_01: I was yawning like 500 times as Clay can attest.
0:47
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's happening right now.
0:49
SPEAKER_01: I I have a case of the onset.
0:50
SPEAKER_01: Somebody told me like you need oxygen.
0:52
SPEAKER_01: You're just not getting enough air.
0:53
SPEAKER_01: I don't really know why I wouldn't be getting enough air, but it's all good.
0:57
SPEAKER_01: I'm fine.
0:59
SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
0:59
SPEAKER_01: It's all good.
1:01
SPEAKER_01: How are you, Clay?
1:02
SPEAKER_04: I'm good.
1:03
SPEAKER_04: I uh it's been uh it's been a week, you know.
1:06
SPEAKER_04: I mean, obviously the world stays busy, it never stops.
1:09
SPEAKER_04: And uh you and I try and keep up as best we can.
1:12
SPEAKER_04: And so we'll spend the next hour or so trying to decipher all the crazy crap that's going on in the world right now.
1:19
SPEAKER_01: Yes, and uh here's a little rundown of the crazy crap.
1:23
SPEAKER_03: From the Pope trading barbs with the White House over Iran to a possible nuclear deal hanging in the ballots, draft registration quietly changing, a Supreme Court justice going personal, and one California congressman finally shown the door.
1:35
SPEAKER_03: Today on the show we cut through the noise, tell you what's really happening, and ask the questions the mainstream won't.
1:41
SPEAKER_03: Buckle up.
1:43
SPEAKER_01: Buckle up, cutting through the noise.
1:46
SPEAKER_01: That's what we do, what we do and how we do it, everybody.
1:51
SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness.
1:52
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh, as we said, and as you just heard, we got a bunch of topics to talk about.
1:56
SPEAKER_01: Um, we are starting right off the bat with uh the Pope and the Prez.
2:02
SPEAKER_01: A little bit of a clash there, a little bit of a kerfuffle, kerfuffle.
2:08
SPEAKER_01: Sure, that'll work.
2:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I I felt the need to uh channel my inner Candace Owen and mispronounce things.
2:15
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, now I'll get like five people like I'm unfollowing you.
2:22
SPEAKER_01: You can't make fun of Candace.
2:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she knows the things.
2:25
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Tucker and now Megan and all the rest of them.
2:29
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
2:30
SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
2:30
SPEAKER_01: But listen, I know that's not on our list of topics, but can we take a second?
2:34
SPEAKER_01: Can we take a second and just acknowledge that like this is it's just insanity.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: Like, I I am I well, I'm not sorry.
2:41
SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry at all.
2:44
SPEAKER_01: I genuinely feel that that crew has just um sold out, sold their souls, and um have are taken a whole different track here.
2:53
SPEAKER_01: And you know, the reason I say that, guys, is because I understand how this game works of social media, of content.
3:02
SPEAKER_01: And you know, when you start calling yourself an independent media, as I call myself independent media, um, because that's typically you're supposed to mean that you know you're not in anybody's pocket, you're just doing whatever the heck you want to do, and nobody's um you know handing you the money to to say certain things, but uh you're talking about these big huge names who I mean they're they they make millions off of their content, like their videos, you know, one video with uh several million views, and you know what sells?
3:36
SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what sells.
3:37
SPEAKER_01: We all know what sells.
3:38
SPEAKER_01: I'm not telling you something that you don't know, guys.
3:40
SPEAKER_01: You all know um that chaos and controversy and um strife and drama, that's what sells.
3:51
SPEAKER_01: Coming on here and telling people to take the pause and take the middle road and wait things out.
3:58
SPEAKER_01: That's not what people want to hear.
3:59
SPEAKER_01: They know this, they take advantage of it.
4:02
SPEAKER_01: And you know, I mean, I'm a capitalist, I get it.
4:05
SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm okay with it, but it's just really a shame what what's happening.
4:09
SPEAKER_04: The old Tom Hemling song, right?
4:10
SPEAKER_04: Dirty laundry, right?
4:11
SPEAKER_04: That was you know kick them when they're up, kick them when they're down.
4:15
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if it bleeds, it leads.
4:16
SPEAKER_04: Like that's the old adage.
4:17
SPEAKER_04: And listen, folks, they're you know, they're they are who they are, they're business people, and none of them are you know, none of them are doing this stuff for free, like Elsa and I do every week, right?
4:28
SPEAKER_04: You know, interestingly enough, you mentioned independent journalism, and I know we're going way off topic already, but um, there's a you know, there's a a bill being crafted in the state of California, and it has to do with um our our boy Nick going there into the state of California and finding.
4:45
SPEAKER_04: I saw that.
4:46
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
4:47
SPEAKER_04: And now the state of California is trying to restrict quote unquote independent journalists uh from investigative journalism.
4:56
SPEAKER_04: So it's a clear violation of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, which will never get passed.
5:00
SPEAKER_04: It should never get passed as a law in the state of California, regardless.
5:05
SPEAKER_04: But then and it should certainly never get passed their state Supreme Court, but it definitely will not get past the SCOTUS.
5:11
SPEAKER_04: There's no way.
5:12
SPEAKER_01: No, no way.
5:13
SPEAKER_01: But it's insane that it's even a conversation.
5:15
SPEAKER_04: That it's even the state of California right now, and the fear of good independent journalists, right?
5:21
SPEAKER_04: Right.
5:22
SPEAKER_04: Um there's actually it's my understanding is there's actually two bills.
5:25
SPEAKER_04: One of them is a way to, you know, restrict or or at least limit in some form or fashion independent journalism.
5:31
SPEAKER_04: Two is the ability of any person or organization who is investigated by independent journalism.
5:39
SPEAKER_04: Let's take Minneapolis as an example.
5:40
SPEAKER_04: The Learing Center that we all love so much in Minneapolis, they uh would have the ability to through the court of law have all of those video clips taken down, whether they're guilty or not.
5:53
SPEAKER_04: Because that's what they're shooting for, and it really is because of Nick and his investigation into all the fraud and corruption that's going on, which is you know, it's literally being called the Nick Shirley.
6:04
SPEAKER_01: It is, yeah, yeah, yep, for sure.
6:07
SPEAKER_01: Unbelievable.
6:08
SPEAKER_01: And you know, and that brings us to a really good point here.
6:12
SPEAKER_01: Um notice that at no point did I say cancel, cancel Candace Owens, cancel Kelly, cancel Tucker.
6:20
SPEAKER_01: No, literally, all I'm saying is take what they say and test it against, you know, you know, test it, test it.
6:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, does it stick?
6:31
SPEAKER_01: You know, is it just creating more?
6:34
SPEAKER_01: Is it just feeding the the chaos narrative and the division?
6:38
SPEAKER_01: Or does it have legs?
6:40
SPEAKER_01: And yeah, you know, it sucked that you can't just sit back and listen to somebody and trust that their word is is gold, but you can't.
6:47
SPEAKER_01: You just can't.
6:48
SPEAKER_01: So don't, you know, you want to listen to them, you love them, great, go for it, keep watching them, but just you know, try a little discernment.
6:55
SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that, I'm not even saying like here's the craziest part, probably.
6:59
SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that they're wrong.
7:01
SPEAKER_01: I have no idea if they're wrong.
7:03
SPEAKER_01: I suspect they're wrong on quite a lot of things.
7:06
SPEAKER_01: I also think they're right on some things, but it it's it's on us.
7:11
SPEAKER_01: I include myself in this, it's on us to test it to see if it holds, you know.
7:17
SPEAKER_01: So that's it.
7:18
SPEAKER_01: I I I'm sorry.
7:19
SPEAKER_01: I went on a little, I took us on a little side trip here.
7:23
SPEAKER_04: Let's get back to the Pope and the president.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: Let me let's try that again.
7:27
SPEAKER_01: Pope Leo, uh, let's see.
7:28
SPEAKER_01: So the first American Pope holds a peace vigil, calls out the delusion of omnipotence behind the behind hitting Iran's nuke sites, and basically tells Trump to chill.
7:41
SPEAKER_01: Uh, Trump fires back on Truth Social.
7:44
SPEAKER_01: He says Pope Leo is weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy.
7:47
SPEAKER_01: I don't want a Pope who thinks it's okay for Iran to have a nuclear, nuclear weapon.
7:52
SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, he drops the uh the Jesus slash doctor AI image that sent uh the world into a tizzy.
8:05
SPEAKER_01: Um, do you want me to go right into that?
8:07
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean the yeah, so the the let's just very briefly talk about it before it pops up.
8:12
SPEAKER_04: But listen, I you know, President Trump's a highly capable guy.
8:16
SPEAKER_04: Um, I'm pretty sure he didn't come up with this image on his own.
8:19
SPEAKER_04: No.
8:19
SPEAKER_04: I'm sure some staffer did this, but he, I'm sure, blessed off on it, or he may even have given the guidance that said, Hey, somebody figure out how to do an image of me and make me, you know.
8:30
SPEAKER_04: Um, it may have been that, or it may have just been some anxious staffer that said, Hey, I got an idea.
8:34
SPEAKER_04: And the person looked at it and goes, That's hilarious.
8:37
SPEAKER_04: Go ahead and put that up.
8:37
SPEAKER_04: And he did it to troll people.
8:39
SPEAKER_04: Highly possible.
8:40
SPEAKER_04: Um but it that has obviously, you know, rubbed some folks the wrong way.
8:46
SPEAKER_04: So yeah, let's go ahead and take it.
8:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
8:48
SPEAKER_01: I did read, just as a side note, I did read, and I don't really know if this is true or not, because you know, the internet, um, that supposedly somebody else, the the creator of this AI image, I forget the name of the guy, uh, somebody said he was actually a pastor.
9:02
SPEAKER_01: Don't know if that's true or not.
9:04
SPEAKER_01: Um, but somebody apparently somebody had posted this like months ago.
9:08
SPEAKER_01: It got some traction.
9:10
SPEAKER_01: And then by the time that it got to President Trump or Trump's people, um, it supposedly got altered uh to some degree and then was posted.
9:22
SPEAKER_01: Again, you know, everybody in the comments that shouldn't is an expert, so I'm sure they will tell me if I'm right or wrong on that.
9:28
SPEAKER_01: I'm so snarky lately.
9:31
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
9:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
9:32
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I'm so I'm sure somebody has the the correct answer in there somewhere in all that.
9:38
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so here's here's uh the image and what uh President Trump had to say about it.
9:44
SPEAKER_00: Post that picture of yourself depicted as Jesus Christ.
9:47
SPEAKER_00: Well, it wasn't depicted, it was me.
9:49
SPEAKER_00: I've I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and it had to do with the Red Cross, is the Red Cross worker there, which we support.
9:56
SPEAKER_00: And uh only the fake news could come up with that one.
9:59
SPEAKER_00: So I I had uh I just heard about it and I said, How did they come up with that?
10:05
SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to be me as a doctor making people better, and I do make people better, I make people uh a lot better.
10:14
SPEAKER_01: It'll listen, as we well know, I am a Christian.
10:18
SPEAKER_01: Um, I saw it and I literally let out a big sigh and just kind of went, yeah.
10:27
SPEAKER_01: Dude, uh, you know, absolutely.
10:30
SPEAKER_01: I would have preferred that he did not share that.
10:33
SPEAKER_01: I would have preferred that uh he just simply said, Hey, listen, I posted it.
10:40
SPEAKER_01: I thought it was funny.
10:41
SPEAKER_01: I guess it's not.
10:42
SPEAKER_01: My bad.
10:43
SPEAKER_01: Let's move on.
10:44
SPEAKER_01: You know, I I I'm never a fan.
10:46
SPEAKER_01: And listen, maybe that's the hundred percent truth, but he his response, maybe that is 100% the truth.
10:52
SPEAKER_01: Um, it it just it's kind of hard.
10:55
SPEAKER_01: It's kind of hard to be like, yeah, okay, you definitely thought you were being depicted as a doctor.
11:00
SPEAKER_01: I mean, okay, if you say so, I'm gonna take it.
11:04
SPEAKER_01: Um, I didn't like it.
11:07
SPEAKER_01: Am I mad enough to like, you know, burn my MAGA hat and denounce him?
11:12
SPEAKER_01: No, no, I'm I'm actually a big girl.
11:15
SPEAKER_04: And uh, you know, and he's trying to I mean, you know, when the Pope the obviously the Pope is a is a world leader because you know the Catholic faith is as large as it is across the world and truthfully feeling a resurgence here in the United States.
11:31
SPEAKER_04: Um so you know, popes have at in varying degrees um you know weighed in on world affairs when they feel it's appropriate.
11:40
SPEAKER_04: Um I think this pope, you know, I I read today that when he was a cardinal, he actually had an ex account where he would weigh in often on public affairs and especially things going on in the United States, uh, and a lot of it relative to uh President Trump, etc.
12:00
SPEAKER_04: That X page, which has had screenshots captured, of course, um, was taken down the day that he got elected as the Pope.
12:09
SPEAKER_04: Completely scrubbed gone because um but he is very it's he is all of the things that President Trump said he is.
12:17
SPEAKER_04: He is anti-TA, he is you know very light on crime, he is very he is all of those things, um, you know, big on immigration, uh etc.
12:28
SPEAKER_04: So what President Trump said is not wrong.
12:31
SPEAKER_04: Uh he actually had I won't say it's inside baseball, but he did have you know his ducks in a row when he made that statement because there is evidence of that out there.
12:39
SPEAKER_04: And I I you know what everybody needs to understand is that the Pope is not a geopolitical expert of any kind at all.
12:49
SPEAKER_04: And so, you know, while he weighs in as the leader of the Catholic faith, um his expertise is nil truthful.
12:57
SPEAKER_04: If he has any any expertise at all, it's out of a personal nature.
13:01
SPEAKER_04: Uh his job doesn't come with that.
13:03
SPEAKER_04: He's not professionally educated in that realm uh as the Pope.
13:08
SPEAKER_04: Uh and so, you know, the Catholic Church has had its own issues over the years, and I'm not even talking about the most recent issues we've had with, you know, child molestation by priests, etc., etc.
13:20
SPEAKER_04: You know, go back in history and look at the Vatican and the thing, you know, the crusades and everything else that has happened underneath, you know, various popes.
13:27
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, it's not a place that can throw a lot of uh a lot of stones.
13:31
SPEAKER_04: They live in a pretty glass house for anybody who knows history.
13:34
SPEAKER_04: But but reality is that what bothers me the most is that the very same people who are one not Catholic either by you know faith or non-practicing Catholics, people like me.
13:46
SPEAKER_04: I was born and raised Catholic, eight years of Catholic school.
13:48
SPEAKER_04: I I don't practice Catholicism at all at this point.
13:52
SPEAKER_04: Um, but people like me and and again non-Catholics are suddenly super interested in what the Pope has to say.
14:01
SPEAKER_04: Pro-abortion, you know, uh pro all of that.
14:04
SPEAKER_04: They they don't follow any of the followings of the Catholic Church, they have no desire to be involved in the faith, they have no desire to follow the Vatican, but on this specific issue, because it is against President Trump, suddenly most of the world who on a normal day doesn't give a crap what the Pope says, suddenly believe that he knows everything and he is the expert because he is on the opposite side of President Trump.
14:27
SPEAKER_04: It is ridiculous.
14:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and isn't it so typical?
14:30
SPEAKER_01: And this is human nature, this is what we do.
14:32
SPEAKER_01: The minute somebody says something that we like, we think they're wonderful.
14:36
SPEAKER_01: And the minute they something say something we don't like, but they're the worst.
14:40
SPEAKER_01: They're a monster.
14:41
SPEAKER_01: And, you know, and and I think there is, and this kind of goes back to what we were talking about at the top of the hour here.
14:48
SPEAKER_01: Um, it kind of goes back to this whole thing of like we we need to start shifting to the middle and and tempering our reactions and our responses.
14:59
SPEAKER_01: And I think, you know, and it's so ridiculous to even have to say that, like it should be the matter, of course.
15:05
SPEAKER_01: But you know, what we're constantly seeing across social media, because this is social media is our main source of everything, whether you're you know, good, bad, indifferent, it is what it is.
15:15
SPEAKER_01: And it is the fact that this is where people are going for all of their uh, you know, immediate information now.
15:23
SPEAKER_01: It's social media, it's X, it's Facebook, it's whatever, it's TikTok.
15:27
SPEAKER_01: Um, and everybody is you know getting bombarded with these extreme views and the extreme opinions and the loudest voices and you know, the most dramatic deliveries of everything.
15:39
SPEAKER_01: And the truth is, you know, the the truth is the truth is somewhere in the middle of all of that.
15:45
SPEAKER_01: You know, is Trump wrong on certain aspects?
15:48
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
15:48
SPEAKER_01: Is the Pope wrong on certain aspects?
15:50
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
15:51
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think he's wading into areas in uh in a way that he has no business doing.
15:56
SPEAKER_01: And it's coming, it's coming across very clear that it is it is anti-Trump um and not a pro-peace, you know, as as it's being posed uh by him, you know, this push for peace and everything.
16:09
SPEAKER_01: You know, if there were if that were the case, and many people um way smarter than me kind of pointed that out, you know, to say, well, where where were you?
16:16
SPEAKER_01: Where were you when it was time to talk about this and in other areas and other aspects?
16:21
SPEAKER_01: But when it's Trump doing something, suddenly you got a lot to say about it, you know, which is you know, that's a little problematic.
16:29
SPEAKER_01: That's it's just uh it would be lovely if we could have people like the Pope not showing bias, you know, that would be great.
16:36
SPEAKER_01: Because the the only the only lane he should be in is is Jesus.
16:41
SPEAKER_01: That's it, you know.
16:42
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and and when he says, when he makes statements, and uh and again, folks take this with a grain of salt if it's incorrect, but I saw it enough places.
16:51
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, the statement the Pope supposedly made that said Jesus, God doesn't listen to the prayers of people who make war um is absurd.
17:02
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like that is positively absurd.
17:04
SPEAKER_04: That is that breaks down the thing.
17:07
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that breaks down the entire basis of the faith, right?
17:11
SPEAKER_04: It is, you know, the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament is the Old Testament God was, you know, like that was the God he held a grudge, and he, you know, and then so kind of the New Testament, you know, with Jesus was a very forgiving God and and all you had to do was ask for it and mean it.
17:28
SPEAKER_04: I I can't imagine that anyone who studied Christian faith, let alone Catholicism, would believe that you know, God suddenly just stops listening to those who pray to him because they because of something like that.
17:40
SPEAKER_04: Just that that is to me just debases everything about this Pope.
17:44
SPEAKER_04: Um, that as a religious leader, it's ridiculous.
17:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:50
SPEAKER_01: I think um, yeah, I think it's uh it's disappointing.
17:55
SPEAKER_01: You know, if if you're somebody who I it's disappointing for a Catholic, I would say, you know, I obviously I I'm not um I don't have any strong feelings or affiliation for the bo.
18:07
SPEAKER_01: I grew up with like, you know, uh just kind of an automatic reverence for the Pope as a title, um, because that's just what you did.
18:17
SPEAKER_01: But you know, it gets it gets harder and harder to do that, you know.
18:19
SPEAKER_01: So I I respect anyone's faith, and I would never um want to deliberately um you know mock or criticize or or put down their their faith and what they believe, and and you know, so many people love their the Pope.
18:34
SPEAKER_01: And um sorry, I just I I think he's I think he's wrong on this one.
18:39
SPEAKER_01: I you know, listen, I already said somebody's gonna be like, oh MAGA, you know, you're you're you pray to King Trump and blah blah shut up.
18:50
SPEAKER_01: I already called him out.
18:51
SPEAKER_01: I already said he was uh he was wrong to do that, didn't like it.
18:54
SPEAKER_01: Um however, he was being very Trump-like in this is you know, this is the type of thing that he does with that.
19:02
SPEAKER_01: But uh the Pope, I don't know.
19:04
SPEAKER_04: Listen, I I agree with you.
19:05
SPEAKER_04: The Pope's he's he has stepped outside of his box on this one.
19:08
SPEAKER_04: And and I like you said, if this was a purely a hey folks, let's let's work towards peace, let's settle things down a little bit.
19:16
SPEAKER_04: Um that's not what this is.
19:18
SPEAKER_04: If that was his goal, if that was the way it was carefully worded, carefully stated.
19:22
SPEAKER_04: And listen, folks, it's not a language barrier issue.
19:25
SPEAKER_04: The guy's from the south side of Chicago.
19:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he can he can we can understand him just fine.
19:30
SPEAKER_04: That's got nothing to do with it.
19:31
SPEAKER_04: So I just think he's outside of his box, and uh, you know, really what he needs to do is just keep his mouth shut and let this fade away.
19:38
SPEAKER_04: Uh and and and and if he, you know, if President Trump keeps going, then hey, Pope, closest to God, take the high road, right?
19:47
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, just right?
19:49
SPEAKER_04: How about that?
19:49
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so we'll we'll see what happens, but uh it it's not a good look for the Pope or the Vatican at this point.
19:55
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
19:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I read a uh a great line as I was just researching this, and it's I'm just gonna read it to you.
20:01
SPEAKER_01: It says if the Pope is right that war is always wrong, does that mean America should have let Hitler keep going or let Iran build the bomb?
20:11
SPEAKER_01: Where is the line between faith and national survival?
20:14
SPEAKER_01: So, you know, if he can answer that one, uh, good on him.
20:17
SPEAKER_01: Give an answer that that's reasonable and good.
20:20
SPEAKER_01: That is, anybody can answer.
20:22
SPEAKER_01: You know, can I buy it?
20:24
SPEAKER_01: Can I buy what you're selling is the question.
20:27
SPEAKER_01: Oh, all right, let's see.
20:29
SPEAKER_01: Well, let's move on.
20:30
SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about well, I mean, we're still kind of sorta, kind of sort of continuing the same topic.
20:35
SPEAKER_01: Uh, Ron, what's a deal?
20:37
SPEAKER_01: Uh, but will it actually mean peace?
20:38
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think are we all doubtful about that idea?
20:41
SPEAKER_04: Last week we talked about, you know, we gave a little bit of an update, and Vice President Vance was uh on his way or even there, I think maybe when we recorded last week.
20:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
20:51
SPEAKER_04: Uh again, negotiations, that did not go well.
20:55
SPEAKER_04: Uh and and you know, the in-person negotiations were very short-lived.
20:59
SPEAKER_04: And uh Vice President Vance, you know, packed it up and left.
21:02
SPEAKER_04: And so, you know, President Trump's been operating on this timeline and the time, the clock is ticking.
21:08
SPEAKER_04: So just uh yesterday we closed the street of Hormuz with uh a naval blockade.
21:15
SPEAKER_04: Uh and so this is kind of where we're, you know, President Trump is in the enforcement part of this.
21:20
SPEAKER_04: Like, listen, you can take a you're gonna take a good deal or you can take a bad deal, but you're gonna take a deal one way or the other, and and that's kind of where we're at right now.
21:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
21:31
SPEAKER_01: By the way, guys, it is uh Wednesday for us.
21:34
SPEAKER_01: We're recording.
21:35
SPEAKER_01: This will be airing tomorrow on Thursday.
21:38
SPEAKER_01: So if anything has changed from this moment to that, which let's face it, it certainly could.
21:44
SPEAKER_01: It certainly could.
21:46
SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so now you know.
21:48
SPEAKER_01: Now you know.
21:49
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
21:50
SPEAKER_04: So they've stopped.
21:51
SPEAKER_04: I I think the number as it stands now, uh, is nine.
21:55
SPEAKER_04: There were nine tankers that have attempted to move, maneuver their way through.
22:00
SPEAKER_04: The blockade, uh you know, we're contacted ship to ship and told, hey, turn around uh because you're not you're not moving through.
22:08
SPEAKER_01: So was there a lot of back and forth, Clay?
22:10
SPEAKER_01: Because I feel like like one minute I read it's closed.
22:12
SPEAKER_01: The next minute I read it's open.
22:13
SPEAKER_01: Oh, they closed it again.
22:15
SPEAKER_04: Is that accurate?
22:16
SPEAKER_04: So I think there was uh there were reports initially of are we gonna close it?
22:21
SPEAKER_04: And then I think somebody jumped the gun.
22:22
SPEAKER_04: So I think there was this, hey, we're gonna close it, and then that was taken as it's already closed.
22:28
SPEAKER_04: Listen, folks, it takes a little while to get the ships to get them in place to get the orders down to the right people, you know, hey, how are we gonna enforce it?
22:34
SPEAKER_04: Those kinds of things.
22:36
SPEAKER_04: Um, so it took a little while, you know, hours essentially to get everything set.
22:40
SPEAKER_04: In that time, I think there was a lot of gray area of is it closed, is it open?
22:44
SPEAKER_04: Uh and then once they locked it down, my understanding is there's been nine attempts, nine different tankers have all tried to move their way through.
22:52
SPEAKER_04: Uh, and again, we're told, hey, turn around and head back.
22:56
SPEAKER_04: Thankfully, we haven't had to take any action in terms of either boarding those vessels and forcibly turning them around.
23:07
SPEAKER_04: Um, there's been no ship-to-ship contact, thank God.
23:10
SPEAKER_04: There's been no you know, aircraft enforcement, there's been none of those things, which are all my biggest concerns.
23:16
SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm very interested in the rules of engagement that the Navy is obligated to and how they're going to do an escalation of force.
23:23
SPEAKER_04: If listen, if a you know, a tanker full of oil is moving through the straits and they decide to play chicken with the U.S.
23:30
SPEAKER_04: Navy, how does that get handled?
23:32
SPEAKER_04: Right.
23:33
SPEAKER_04: And so, you know, that there's answers that, you know, they'll they'll uh you know put some folks on the deck, fly helicopters on.
23:41
SPEAKER_04: And listen, uh our Marines, Navy, there's there's people who know how to do that stuff and they'll do it.
23:46
SPEAKER_04: Um, but it gets dangerous very, very quickly.
23:48
SPEAKER_04: So um the count right now is nine.
23:51
SPEAKER_04: And there's this pre-recorded, I think it's in a number of different languages.
23:55
SPEAKER_04: Um, United States Navy has closed the strait, please return to your port, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
24:01
SPEAKER_04: And they they burst that out over the radio uh frequencies, and those nine ships have abided by that and turned around.
24:08
SPEAKER_04: So um we are all, you know, kind of feeling this.
24:12
SPEAKER_04: I think I am at the gas pump.
24:14
SPEAKER_04: I assume everybody else is.
24:15
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
24:16
SPEAKER_04: Um but at the same time, if you think about it, President Trump has not only closed the Strait of Hormuz, but has also essentially taken over oil production out of Venezuela.
24:29
SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
24:29
SPEAKER_04: And then of course you've got United States oil production.
24:31
SPEAKER_04: So, like the three greatest sources of oil on the planet are all essentially under the thumb of the United States at this point, which is very interesting.
24:40
SPEAKER_04: You would think that would mean gas would be like seven bucks a barrel and we would be paying pennies per gallon.
24:45
SPEAKER_04: Right.
24:45
SPEAKER_04: That's not how it's working.
24:46
SPEAKER_04: So um, we'll we'll see.
24:48
SPEAKER_04: I I personally have a feeling that there's gonna be a spike uh and uh and then it'll eventually come back down.
24:54
SPEAKER_04: But the crux in all this is the the nuclear material.
24:59
SPEAKER_04: No that that is why I think Vice President Vance's uh negotiations broke down.
25:05
SPEAKER_04: I think that's why the Iranians are playing such hardball because it has turned into a um you will not develop not only will you not develop nuclear weapons, you will not develop nuclear energy, which is a significant issue for the Iranians.
25:20
SPEAKER_04: They want to maintain that ability.
25:21
SPEAKER_04: We just can't trust them.
25:22
SPEAKER_06: Right.
25:23
SPEAKER_04: And basically what President Trump said is you can give us the radioactive material, or we will come get the radioactive material, which is a scary proposition.
25:32
SPEAKER_04: Uh but we'll have to see how that plays out.
25:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, his hand's kind of forced here because he he he can't back down.
25:39
SPEAKER_01: He can't back down at all on this now.
25:42
SPEAKER_01: And you know, good, bad, or indifferent, uh, you know, everybody stands on different different sides of this, obviously.
25:49
SPEAKER_01: Um, but the stakes are in so many ways, in the most obvious ways, of course, but the stakes are really high for him as far as he has got to this has to be a W for him, this has to be a win for him so that he can you know shut everybody up that listen, and I don't know how that can happen.
26:09
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, well, he you know, he he's the art of the deal, right?
26:11
SPEAKER_04: And and his, you know, you you don't even have to read the book.
26:15
SPEAKER_04: If you just pay attention to what's been going on in his you know, five and a half years of presidency, you can figure out he goes in with an outlandish demand on the top because he knows he's not gonna get it, but somewhere in the top is exactly what he's looking for.
26:27
SPEAKER_04: So honestly, I it would not surprise me if what ends up happening is a US-owned, US-run nuclear power plant and program is established in Iran, under the United States, and they have nuclear power, but it turns into a financial gain for the US, and then they'll be perfectly happy with that.
26:49
SPEAKER_04: It would not shock at all if that turns out to be the solution to this entire thing.
26:53
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, and then, oh, by the way, that kind of stabilizes things, it becomes a business relationship between the US and Iran, they become dependent upon us.
27:02
SPEAKER_04: Uh that kind of settles things down as well.
27:04
SPEAKER_04: So we'll we'll see what happens.
27:06
SPEAKER_04: Um I have said, folks, from the time that this started, regime change does not come, successful regime change, to a regime that you want, that we want, that we that would be, you know, um, allied or at least friendly with the United States.
27:22
SPEAKER_04: That does not come without putting boots on the ground.
27:25
SPEAKER_04: Uh and so I am convinced that it's gonna happen that way, uh, or it's gonna be a failure of some sort.
27:30
SPEAKER_04: So I don't know if I'm wrong, but it's never happened in the past.
27:34
SPEAKER_04: So um yeah, yeah, we'll we'll have to keep our eyes on this.
27:37
SPEAKER_04: Obviously, I mean I I watch this if not daily, or if not hourly, definitely daily.
27:43
SPEAKER_04: I'm paying attention to what's going on.
27:45
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:46
SPEAKER_01: I just, you know, I don't know how I don't know how he's gonna make this happen.
27:51
SPEAKER_01: I don't know how he's gonna make it work.
27:53
SPEAKER_01: However, I I do believe that if there is anyone that can, it's it's gonna be him.
28:00
SPEAKER_01: If you know, he's his track record has already proven that you know, all of the you know, seemingly crazy things that he said he's going to do, and then everybody said there was no way it's gonna happen.
28:11
SPEAKER_01: He's like, watch me, watch me.
28:14
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, go back to Greenland.
28:16
SPEAKER_04: Seriously, just go back to Greenland, right?
28:19
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was listen, we'll just take it over ourselves.
28:21
SPEAKER_04: Everybody lost their mind, right?
28:23
SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, they're gonna buy, they're gonna take over the United States, they're gonna, you know, whatever.
28:27
SPEAKER_04: All he wanted them, all he wanted was NATO to pull their weight.
28:31
SPEAKER_04: That's all he wanted.
28:32
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, really, and so we did that, and he threw it out on the table, and everybody freaked out.
28:37
SPEAKER_04: And go figure, NATO got their crap together, and here it is.
28:41
SPEAKER_01: He got what you think they you think they wise up to the game here, but they don't.
28:46
SPEAKER_01: Nobody does.
28:47
SPEAKER_01: Nobody does like every time he's like, well, you know, it's like when you um you pretend to throw a ball for a dog.
28:55
SPEAKER_01: 20 times, 20 times, and that dog every time is like, where is it?
28:59
SPEAKER_01: Where is it?
29:00
SPEAKER_01: Every single time.
29:01
SPEAKER_04: 99% of America hasn't figured it out yet.
29:04
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
29:06
SPEAKER_01: It's wild.
29:07
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
29:07
SPEAKER_01: And the rest of it, you know, like the rest of us are just sitting back, raising a glass, just chilling out.
29:13
SPEAKER_01: Like I think I even posted something or reposted, reshared something to the effect of, you know, everybody's basically running around like chickens with their heads cut off and freaking out and all of that.
29:24
SPEAKER_01: And then there's then there's the rest of us that are just, you know, like I said, just sitting back, chilling with their bucket of popcorn and taking it easy.
29:34
SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, it's okay.
29:36
SPEAKER_01: It's all gonna be fine.
29:37
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I listen, I stay in that lane um, period.
29:41
SPEAKER_01: I stay in that lane no matter what, because I I have been in the you know uh mental state of you know, freaking out over all of the things and like what's gonna happen here and what's gonna happen there, and how they're gonna do this, and how's this gonna get better?
29:55
SPEAKER_01: And how's and it's like, you know what?
29:57
SPEAKER_01: That did not facilitate any improvements.
30:00
SPEAKER_01: My stressing out about it, giving myself heart palpitations and and you know, getting all anxious about it did not make anything happen other than my heart rate.
30:11
SPEAKER_01: So now I'm just like, it's all good.
30:14
SPEAKER_04: Well, you started you started listening to me when I told you to just take a breath and wait.
30:18
SPEAKER_01: I think I, you know, I'm I'm gonna give you the credit.
30:21
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna give you that credit.
30:22
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I am, I am.
30:24
SPEAKER_01: You guys heard it.
30:24
SPEAKER_01: I gave them the credit.
30:27
SPEAKER_01: All right, we're moving on.
30:29
SPEAKER_01: Dang it.
30:30
SPEAKER_01: Uh stain and sort of itch the same line.
30:32
SPEAKER_01: I love the way these topics are flowing right together.
30:34
SPEAKER_01: Uh, draft registration is changing.
30:38
SPEAKER_01: Oh, gasp, everybody panic, freak out.
30:40
SPEAKER_01: Just kidding.
30:41
SPEAKER_01: Um, but is the draft itself sneaking back in?
30:44
SPEAKER_01: And the answer seems to be no.
30:46
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna uh lean on you, Clay, to go ahead and explain it.
30:50
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so Selective Service, for those that don't know, I think everybody does, but when a young man at this point, and it is still restricted to men only, at the age of 18 have to register for selective service, which means you are registering for a draft if there is one enacted, right?
31:06
SPEAKER_04: So every male between the age of 18 and 26 is registered for the draft under selective service.
31:12
SPEAKER_04: Now, that is still an analog process.
31:16
SPEAKER_04: You still have to go and like you know, fill out paperwork and go to the post office and like all of that stuff, okay?
31:24
SPEAKER_04: There's about 19% of males between the age of 18 and 26 who have not registered for selective service.
31:32
SPEAKER_04: All this does, this process, the intent of this process is if you have a social security number in the United States and you are a male on your 18th birthday, you are automatically registered under for selective service, right?
31:46
SPEAKER_04: They've taken the analog, the voluntary, it's all going away.
31:50
SPEAKER_04: Um, and so you know, I have heard uh, you know, in the last couple of years, I have heard mothers specifically say, you know, mothers of sons who are seniors in high school say, I'm not, I'm not allowing that.
32:04
SPEAKER_04: I'm not registering my son.
32:06
SPEAKER_04: I'm not, but when he turns 18, and you know, and this is what I tell him, when he turns 18, he's not yours anymore.
32:10
SPEAKER_04: Right?
32:11
SPEAKER_04: And you don't get to say no, it's federal law.
32:14
SPEAKER_04: Um so all this does is this takes the analog out of the process.
32:18
SPEAKER_04: It's you're volunteer, you're you're automatically uh, you know, signed up for selective service.
32:23
SPEAKER_04: But every time the discussion of selective service comes up in any capacity, people assume a draft is coming.
32:30
SPEAKER_04: Every few years, the conversation of should we include women into the registration for selective service?
32:36
SPEAKER_04: We did it, we did a topic on this less than two years ago.
32:41
SPEAKER_04: And and we talked about women being, you know, part of the draft pool.
32:45
SPEAKER_04: Um, when that goes in front of Congress, which they never vote on because they're all a bunch of cowards, people believe that this means a draft is coming.
32:54
SPEAKER_04: People, because of the context of Iran and this now automated selective service system, people are freaking out because they think a draft is coming.
33:01
SPEAKER_04: Sure.
33:01
SPEAKER_04: I I will tell you folks, nobody wants an all-military draft.
33:07
SPEAKER_04: I personally am a believer that uh mandatory government service is a good thing.
33:11
SPEAKER_05: I agree.
33:12
SPEAKER_04: I have no problem with that.
33:13
SPEAKER_04: There's it's done in many countries around the world.
33:15
SPEAKER_04: I think it would do our nation and the youth of our nation some good.
33:18
SPEAKER_04: Um but as a 27-year veteran, I will tell you the military is not for everybody.
33:24
SPEAKER_05: No.
33:24
SPEAKER_04: Um, and so I think the option of you know doing something other than the military and contributing to the country is is a good thing, and I fully support that.
33:34
SPEAKER_04: There's an old adage in the military, I know at least in the army, and I'm sure that it goes to the other branches, that uh leaders spend 90% of their time dealing with 10% of their soldiers, which means your time is consumed with the 10% that you do you shouldn't be consuming yourself with.
33:50
SPEAKER_04: It's the non-performers, it's the guys who get themselves in trouble, it's the young, young kids who do dumb things or who just aren't doing the job.
33:58
SPEAKER_04: And it consumes your time.
34:00
SPEAKER_04: Now take that and throw a draft in there, and you're gonna have a whole population of kids that don't want to be there in the first place.
34:05
SPEAKER_04: Remember, even the 10% who are substandard performers volunteered for the military.
34:11
SPEAKER_04: Now throw in a bunch of kids who don't want to be there, and it gets 10 times worse.
34:15
SPEAKER_04: So um again, mandatory service, I'm all about.
34:19
SPEAKER_04: Uh I think there is no draft coming.
34:22
SPEAKER_04: I do personally believe that women should be part of the draft pool.
34:25
SPEAKER_01: You beat me to it.
34:26
SPEAKER_01: I was gonna ask you, what's your opinion?
34:27
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but listen, they we have opened every single job in the military to women.
34:31
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
34:32
SPEAKER_04: Every single job.
34:34
SPEAKER_04: There is no reason at this point, especially when, oh, by the way, you've got all these people aching and pining and begging for you know the you know sports being integrated with trans athletes and all kinds of other stuff.
34:48
SPEAKER_06: Right.
34:48
SPEAKER_04: Um, you you can't do that and then say, you know, women shouldn't be drafted to go fight.
34:53
SPEAKER_04: Sorry.
34:54
SPEAKER_04: Um, so I think women should be included in the pool.
34:57
SPEAKER_04: Um, but there is there's no draft coming, folks.
34:59
SPEAKER_04: There just there just isn't.
35:01
SPEAKER_04: It's not it's not gonna happen.
35:02
SPEAKER_01: No.
35:03
SPEAKER_01: No, it's not gonna be necessary, first of all.
35:06
SPEAKER_01: Or at least let's put it this way.
35:07
SPEAKER_01: Let's hope to heck that it's never necessary, uh, that we're never in a position that where it would be necessary.
35:13
SPEAKER_01: Um, but yes, I I will say I agree with you.
35:15
SPEAKER_01: I think um, you know, if women want equality in all areas and and access to all areas that uh men are in, that is a lane that has been exclusively required of men.
35:32
SPEAKER_01: Um obviously there's women in the military.
35:35
SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, I mean, fair is fair.
35:38
SPEAKER_01: You know, I always go back, you know, my husband laughs when I when I say it, but I'm like, I'm so mad at my gender.
35:44
SPEAKER_01: Like, we're so my goodness, how dumb.
35:48
SPEAKER_01: I would like I would be in a 1950s.
35:52
SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is gonna make so many people so mad.
35:54
SPEAKER_01: I can't wait.
35:56
SPEAKER_01: I love the idea of being a 1950s wife, being home all day, going to the store, doing nice go shopping, have dinner ready for my husband.
36:07
SPEAKER_01: Love it, love it.
36:09
SPEAKER_01: That's why our depression rates, our suicide rates, our you know, all of our mental health issues, all of the things, because we had to do it all.
36:20
SPEAKER_01: We want to do everything, dummies.
36:23
SPEAKER_01: It's gonna make so many people mad in the comment section.
36:26
SPEAKER_04: And we can have a whole discussion about what it did.
36:29
SPEAKER_04: We could nuclear family and all that kind of stuff.
36:32
SPEAKER_01: So oh, we could.
36:33
SPEAKER_04: We could easily let's we could talk about that anytime.
36:37
SPEAKER_04: We'll always we'll keep that as a reserve.
36:39
SPEAKER_04: We will, we will just put it in my back pocket for when we need it.
36:44
SPEAKER_01: Yes, indeed.
36:45
SPEAKER_01: All right, what are we talking about?
36:47
SPEAKER_01: We're still talking about the draft or we could check.
36:49
SPEAKER_04: We solved that one today.
36:50
SPEAKER_01: We solved it.
36:51
SPEAKER_01: It's not happening.
36:51
SPEAKER_01: Everybody, calm down, calm down for heck's sake.
36:55
SPEAKER_01: All right, let's talk about uh this right here, Justice Sodomer Mayor.
37:01
SPEAKER_01: And uh, whoa, where'd that go?
37:02
SPEAKER_01: I lost it.
37:03
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, it just drifted off of me.
37:04
SPEAKER_01: Uh takes a swing at Kavanaugh when personal attacks hit the highest court.
37:09
SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, so that's not cool, huh?
37:12
SPEAKER_01: I mean, listen, it it's it kind of feels like it's a bit of waves of a you know what show starts with S going on there.
37:23
SPEAKER_01: It I just feel like the level of decorum in all of the things that we are supposed to imagine and picture when we think of the Supreme Court, I feel like that is getting diminished.
37:36
SPEAKER_01: Am I wrong to think that, Clay?
37:38
SPEAKER_04: No, and this was a this was a personal thing.
37:41
SPEAKER_04: So she was uh, I think she was at an event or she was giving an interview, and basically what she said about Justice Kavanaugh uh was that she sees things through a different lens because she has contact with poor people, and that he grew up as a rich kid, um and and that he he doesn't understand or know anything about the poor people in the United States, and therefore he he views the issues in front of the Supreme Court very differently.
38:11
SPEAKER_04: Um now you know what she did do at the same time was say, yes, well, both of his parents were lawyers, okay, which you know that led him to being a lawyer.
38:22
SPEAKER_04: But his mother balanced children, uh, she balanced getting a law degree with children, uh, she balanced being a practicing lawyer with children, uh, and and so on and so forth.
38:36
SPEAKER_04: So she worked like this was a a classic American tale of a woman who worked her ass off, went to night school kind of thing, and and you know, got her law degree and passed the bar and did all those things.
38:48
SPEAKER_04: So there's no credit given, right?
38:51
SPEAKER_04: You know, now this is a blame game of well, he doesn't get it because you know he doesn't know any poor people like I know poor people.
38:58
SPEAKER_04: And it's ridiculous, right?
39:00
SPEAKER_04: It's a it's a blame game, it's a shame game.
39:03
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, and and she said she's friends with most of the justices on the court.
39:08
SPEAKER_04: I'm pretty sure she excluded Justice Kavanaugh off the court.
39:12
SPEAKER_01: I feel like maybe she did, yeah.
39:14
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but at the same time, you know, it brought to light things that are going on.
39:18
SPEAKER_04: You said it, it's a it's a I'll say it, it's a shit show, right?
39:21
SPEAKER_04: In the Supreme Court right now.
39:23
SPEAKER_04: And so I read an article today that there is now, I I hadn't heard this yet, but Justice Alito, who is 76 years old, there is discussion about him potentially retiring within the next year.
39:35
SPEAKER_04: Uh, and when President Trump was asked about it, he said, I have a short list of people that I would nominate.
39:42
SPEAKER_04: Uh, and so he this has at least been a point of discussion, probably within the Oval Office itself.
39:48
SPEAKER_04: I don't know if it's been a discussion with Justice Alito, but you know, he had an incident not that long ago.
39:52
SPEAKER_04: He was at an event, he got dehydrated, he had to be treated, and his age became an issue.
39:57
SPEAKER_04: Now, Clarence Thomas is also a year older than he is, um, also the longest sitting justice uh in history, by the way.
40:05
SPEAKER_04: And so there's discussion about Alito retiring, potentially Thomas retiring while President Trump during this administration while President Trump is in office.
40:13
SPEAKER_04: So President Trump said in it when asked about this, he said it may end up being one, may end up being two, who knows?
40:19
SPEAKER_04: It could be three.
40:20
SPEAKER_04: Meaning he would potentially have to appoint one, two, potentially three new Supreme Court justices while he's still in office.
40:27
SPEAKER_04: Um and so there's a lot going on.
40:30
SPEAKER_04: Obviously, um, you know, our favorite and newest justice, uh Kadani Brown, however you pronounce her name, um, has shown herself to be incompetent and incapable, even to her peers, uh, in the peers within her party.
40:44
SPEAKER_04: Uh so you know, Justice Soto Maior is not obviously above criticizing Kavanaugh.
40:50
SPEAKER_04: Uh is also not above criticizing anybody else that sits on the bench, as it seems.
40:56
SPEAKER_04: So, yes, SCOTUS right now is uh a a little uh yeah, I don't even know what you would want to call it, other than Shitko.
41:03
SPEAKER_01: But uh and the issue here is that they're it's personal attacks.
41:08
SPEAKER_01: Yes, argue, argue, you know, you're like you're yeah, it's not professional.
41:12
SPEAKER_01: It's you're not arguing the the um the the constitution the or constitutionality of something.
41:21
SPEAKER_01: Um you're you're making a personal attack, and that that's the issue here in in case anybody might have missed it.
41:29
SPEAKER_01: It's it's not that they disagree, that's part of what they do, you know, and they figure it all out, but everything is should be is supposed to be all based on interpretation and uh uh of the constitution.
41:43
SPEAKER_01: That's the things they're supposed to be debating with each other or arguing about, not about um personal upbringing or um, you know, I don't know, beliefs, I guess, uh on the personal level.
41:57
SPEAKER_01: It's like what does the constitution say?
41:59
SPEAKER_01: Where does our authority um dictate here for us?
42:03
SPEAKER_01: And disagree all you want on that.
42:05
SPEAKER_01: Come please come to some kind of conclusion here that everybody can at least somewhat agree on, meaning them.
42:11
SPEAKER_01: Um but yeah, that that takes it to a level that's just not okay.
42:17
SPEAKER_04: You know, could you imagine?
42:18
SPEAKER_04: Could you imagine if someone had said, you know, well, Ruth Bader-Ginsburg can't be um, you know, she can't rule correctly, she sees things differently because she's Jewish.
42:31
SPEAKER_01: Right.
42:32
SPEAKER_04: Perfect example if that would have been said by any, any, any of the justices.
42:36
SPEAKER_04: I don't care who it was.
42:38
SPEAKER_04: Um, but somehow because this is Sotomayor, Latino woman, you know, essentially attacking, you know, white guy.
42:46
SPEAKER_01: No white guy.
42:46
SPEAKER_01: No white guy.
42:47
SPEAKER_04: So everybody's like, well, and they kind of let it go, but a lack of professionalism, we expect more from the Supreme Court.
42:54
SPEAKER_04: Um, but it's it's a bit of a mess right now.
42:57
SPEAKER_04: So this, I you know, I think that in the next three years, we're gonna see a lot of things happen inside of the Supreme Court.
43:06
SPEAKER_04: Um, I think I think President Trump is right.
43:08
SPEAKER_04: I think the number is at least one and it potentially could be two.
43:11
SPEAKER_04: Um I I seek I personally believe that when he said it could be three, I actually think somewhere in his mind, there is potential there to impeach Kidani Brown because of her lack of capability.
43:26
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think there is potential there for that, at least you know, in the minds of those kind of closest to the Supreme Court.
43:33
SPEAKER_01: Historically, has that ever happened?
43:35
SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
43:36
SPEAKER_04: I don't think so.
43:37
SPEAKER_04: Um, but when you're catching that kind of uh flack from you know inside of the the the other justices and inside of your own party, uh yeah, it becomes an issue.
43:49
SPEAKER_04: I I doubt it, but again, it's President Trump.
43:52
SPEAKER_04: He believes he can do anything as quick as possible.
43:54
SPEAKER_04: So when he counts to three, my guess is those are the three he's talking about.
43:58
SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
44:00
SPEAKER_01: Very likely.
44:01
SPEAKER_01: What about um you know, granted, this doesn't necessarily merit disciplinary action, but when it comes to s the Supreme Court, what what is there for disciplinary action?
44:13
SPEAKER_01: Do you have any idea?
44:14
SPEAKER_01: I have like I don't have the faintest idea.
44:16
SPEAKER_04: Not a not a clue.
44:17
SPEAKER_04: I I impeachment would be the only and I don't even know if that's the right term.
44:21
SPEAKER_04: There may be a different legal term for it.
44:23
SPEAKER_01: Right.
44:24
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm super curious if you guys competency, right?
44:27
SPEAKER_04: There's gotta be, and I know that there was discussion about that with Justice Kinsburg as she got older.
44:33
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, there were fears of her competency slipping, right?
44:37
SPEAKER_04: And so, you know, it's almost you know, 25th Amendment-ish kind of stuff.
44:42
SPEAKER_04: I I would imagine there's something like that in place, but I don't know if it's ever been acted on.
44:48
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, I'd be curious if you guys in the comment section have any uh intel on that.
44:52
SPEAKER_01: I would love to hear that.
44:53
SPEAKER_01: That would be very interesting.
44:55
SPEAKER_01: Uh, let's see, what else?
44:57
SPEAKER_01: Uh blah.
44:59
SPEAKER_01: Oh, this guy.
45:01
SPEAKER_01: So listen, anybody that didn't know this guy was gross already had their head in the sand, just saying, like, I didn't know, obviously, I had no clue that that was going on, but sure as heck didn't surprise me.
45:12
SPEAKER_01: We're talking about uh Swalwell.
45:15
SPEAKER_01: I mean, just the name alone.
45:16
SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
45:17
SPEAKER_01: I know somebody can't help what their last name is, but um, so yeah, I is it safe to say that he is done with politics forever, because he certainly should be.
45:28
SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's obviously um we're probably gonna be looking at some criminal charges too, right?
45:33
SPEAKER_04: Potentially.
45:34
SPEAKER_04: I mean, you know, the way this evolved was um, you know, he's running for governor of California uh whilst uh sitting congressman.
45:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
45:43
SPEAKER_04: And you know, these accusations of sex sexual assault, not just sexual harassment, sexual assault came out.
45:50
SPEAKER_04: And then he said, No, not me, you know, and did the did the normal thing.
45:54
SPEAKER_04: You know, these accusations are false, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
45:57
SPEAKER_04: I never fast forward 36 hours.
46:00
SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna drop out of the governor's race and because it's not the right thing.
46:05
SPEAKER_04: And then 24 hours after that, there were more accusations, and then it was, yeah, I think I'm gonna resign from Congress, but it's all false.
46:14
SPEAKER_04: None of this is true.
46:15
SPEAKER_04: I didn't do anything wrong.
46:16
SPEAKER_04: Is it this?
46:17
SPEAKER_01: I don't want to be, I don't want to be a distraction, right?
46:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
46:21
SPEAKER_04: Um, and so it it evolved very, very quickly.
46:24
SPEAKER_04: Like this was not, I mean, like you said, other than the fact that everybody knew that he was an idiot, uh you just go back to Fang Fang, um, and all of this.
46:33
SPEAKER_04: But even last week when we recorded, this was not on the radar screen.
46:36
SPEAKER_04: So he went from sitting congressman and uh gubernatorial candidate to resigning from Congress in less than a week.
46:44
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and so you know, the accusations are uh sexual assault, sexual harassment, um, potentially interactions with an underage woman uh as part of all of that.
46:55
SPEAKER_04: Uh and and you know, there's some some repercussions coming too.
46:59
SPEAKER_04: I guess a a multi-million dollar donor has lent him or let him allowed him to be in house for free.
47:06
SPEAKER_04: And now that guy wants his money back, um, and and all kinds of other things.
47:10
SPEAKER_04: Now, folks, listen, Elsa and I are all about keeping things on up and up and on the evens.
47:17
SPEAKER_04: You know, Gonzalez from Texas, Republican, also they literally read their resignation letters back to back in chambers this week.
47:26
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
47:26
SPEAKER_04: Gonzalez has been under fire for something similar, um, although no criminal charges heading his way.
47:33
SPEAKER_04: He did have an affair with a staffer, uh, and we all know this because that young lady was damaged enough by this uh entire ordeal that she lit herself on fire uh to commit suicide.
47:48
SPEAKER_04: Like that obviously, whatever happened, uh I'm not saying he did something horrific, um, but it it obviously affected her significantly uh to put her in that kind of mental state.
48:00
SPEAKER_04: So both him and Swalwell, uh again, they literally like I don't know if you saw that film clip, um, but they read his Gonzales.
48:11
SPEAKER_04: The lady took the piece of paper and handed it off and reached over and got the Swalwell one, and then she never even moved from the podium.
48:18
SPEAKER_04: Literally, like back in the city.
48:20
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I didn't see that yet.
48:21
SPEAKER_04: That was crazy.
48:22
SPEAKER_04: Um, so they're both out, and it's both for inappropriate, you know, um sexual relationships, uh, while while it's a you know sitting congressperson.
48:31
SPEAKER_04: So um and and good.
48:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
48:35
SPEAKER_01: You know, the the thing that um that gets me with this is the you know, my BS factor is up to like, you know, infinity in regards to like you're gonna tell me that nobody knew this is a surprise to everyone.
48:53
SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, that's the part that we should honestly be, yeah, if not the most disgusted with, at least on the radar of being disgusted.
49:02
SPEAKER_01: Like this came out because they let it come out, because they decided that this guy who was okay in their book, as long as he was useful to them, swalwell I'm talking about, um, until they decided that he's not.
49:18
SPEAKER_01: And now, you know, now they all these little Democrat cronies are like, oh, clutching their pearls.
49:25
SPEAKER_01: I had no idea.
49:26
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm disgusted.
49:27
SPEAKER_01: I'm appalled.
49:28
SPEAKER_01: This is, you know, irreprehensible, unacceptable behavior.
49:32
SPEAKER_01: You knew, you knew, you lying cows, you all knew, and now it's time to turn.
49:38
SPEAKER_01: Now it's and believe me, this is not with an ounce of sympathy for this guy.
49:43
SPEAKER_01: I don't even have a even like a crumb of sympathy for him at all.
49:49
SPEAKER_01: Um, it's just an acknowledgement of how dirty and disgusting and seedy and nasty that whole world is within politics.
49:58
SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh, and I know it's more than just in politics, but this is our I'm not gonna say this would have prevented it.
50:04
SPEAKER_04: Right.
50:05
SPEAKER_04: Limit this.
50:06
SPEAKER_04: Do you remember not two months ago?
50:08
SPEAKER_04: There was the vote on the slush fund for settling sexual harassment right inside of Congress.
50:15
SPEAKER_04: If that became public and we knew about that, uh and we knew who was being paid and who it was, you know, for from or covering for, these kinds of things, I'm not gonna say they're gonna stop because we all know that that's not true.
50:29
SPEAKER_04: But it's gonna go from where it's at to a lot lower, right?
50:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
50:33
SPEAKER_01: And who is it?
50:34
SPEAKER_01: Uh Anna Paulina Luna.
50:35
SPEAKER_04: I think she's a great follower on social media, by the way.
50:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she is.
50:39
SPEAKER_01: She's the firecracker I like her a lot so far.
50:42
SPEAKER_01: You know, so I always have to add so far to everything because you you never know tomorrow is gonna be something.
50:47
SPEAKER_01: Uh, but right now, uh uh I'm enjoying her.
50:50
SPEAKER_01: And uh, but she's uh been one of the most vocal uh ones for making that happen.
50:56
SPEAKER_01: And you know, definitely makes your eyebrow go up when you you're realizing that how many people uh you know in Congress and government are resisting this happening.
51:06
SPEAKER_01: It just tells you how deep and how widespread this issue is across both parties.
51:12
SPEAKER_01: Uh, I have no um, you know, partiality to either one when it comes to that.
51:17
SPEAKER_01: We know uh just proven um that it's happening on both sides.
51:21
SPEAKER_01: No one should be getting away with that, period, whatsoever.
51:24
SPEAKER_01: So expose them all, please do it.
51:28
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so yeah, so the irony, of course, of um Swalwell is you know, he's a guy who's like lecturing the country on women's safety.
51:38
SPEAKER_01: And meanwhile, meanwhile, like could have seen that coming from a mile away.
51:43
SPEAKER_04: There was another one that came even just this morning.
51:47
SPEAKER_04: A fifth victim that came out, and they have all collectively the five of them have collectively said um we're we all came out and we made this public because we knew if we didn't, he would continue to do this as long as he was in Congress.
52:01
SPEAKER_04: So they knew this guy was a scumbag, and that's why they all step forward.
52:05
SPEAKER_04: And again, now there's five.
52:06
SPEAKER_04: So rightfully so.
52:08
SPEAKER_04: And your question to your question earlier, do I think his political career is done?
52:12
SPEAKER_04: He's a Democrat, so no.
52:14
SPEAKER_01: No, no, he's just gonna, he's just gonna take a little breather, yeah, just gonna lay low for a minute, rebrand with the uh, you know, the apology tour, the I've changed tour.
52:23
SPEAKER_01: I've learned my lesson, and you know, let me let me let me help you grow from my experience.
52:29
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah.
52:30
SPEAKER_01: He's he's not sadly, he's not done.
52:32
SPEAKER_01: And you're right, we've seen this time and again.
52:34
SPEAKER_01: The rebrand, the great rebrand comes up.
52:37
SPEAKER_01: Uh, I I don't know.
52:39
SPEAKER_01: I I didn't never liked him for a single second, so I can't imagine any rebrand that guy could do to be successful.
52:45
SPEAKER_01: But like you said, talking about the Democrats and their their acceptance of a lot of things.
52:52
SPEAKER_01: My gosh, this oh, this topic could another one that could branch off into so many different little tributaries, right?
53:01
SPEAKER_01: Oh, but we're not gonna do that because our time's almost up.
53:04
SPEAKER_01: And what would a show be without ending?
53:08
SPEAKER_04: Before we jump into the comments, there's one thing I do want to say, and maybe we can cover it more in depth next week.
53:14
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so folks, if you haven't seen it, this is when you realize that your elected officials don't understand economics.
53:21
SPEAKER_04: LA, the city, Mayor Bass, the biggest dum-dum on the planet, and I live outside of Chicago, where Mayor Brand is the biggest dum.
53:31
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um she mandated minimum wage raised to$30 an hour.
53:37
SPEAKER_04: $30 an hour.
53:38
SPEAKER_01: Did you say she mandated it?
53:41
SPEAKER_04: Inside the city of Los Angeles, yeah.
53:46
SPEAKER_04: Within 24 hours, just the hotels inside of Los Angeles cut 650 jobs.
53:53
SPEAKER_04: Of course, just the hotels.
53:55
SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
53:55
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
53:56
SPEAKER_04: Again, folks, this is when you know that your elected officials do not understand the economy, they don't understand capitalism, and they don't understand how America works.
54:06
SPEAKER_04: So just because this woman is this is she's the West Coast mom Donnie uh for different reasons.
54:12
SPEAKER_04: He's a socialist communist, she is an idiot.
54:15
SPEAKER_04: Um yeah, so we'll we'll keep an eye on that one.
54:19
SPEAKER_04: That one may circle, we may get more on that.
54:21
SPEAKER_04: That one's only maybe 36 hours old um as far as seeing the effects of how it's affecting Los Angeles, but there's more to come on that one.
54:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that'll be a quick topic.
54:30
SPEAKER_01: It'll start with, hey, I told you so.
54:34
SPEAKER_01: I told you so.
54:35
SPEAKER_01: Maybe we should, maybe that should be a uh running segment.
54:37
SPEAKER_01: The I told you so segment.
54:41
SPEAKER_01: All right, back to the running segment of the comment section.
54:46
SPEAKER_01: So uh, you know, so I I did something last week that I I knew, like I knew what I was doing when I did it.
54:53
SPEAKER_01: It felt uh it felt slightly manipulative to to make sure I posted this.
54:58
SPEAKER_01: But uh last week we had talked about um uh Artemis II and uh the the orbit there around around the moon.
55:06
SPEAKER_01: Um and I I knew when I was putting together clips to put out from the episode, I knew if I put out a portion of that clip, uh, which we were talking about, or I think I I specifically was saying uh that I was in no mood for the um uh moon landing deniers and you know it's all fake, it's all fake, didn't happen, none of it happened.
55:30
SPEAKER_01: The moon landing didn't happen, they didn't really orbit the moon, none of it happened.
55:35
SPEAKER_01: I I provoked, I poked the bear, is what I did, and uh I kind of mocked those people and you know, surprise, surprise, no surprise, they did come up in the comment section like I I'm so disappointed in you.
55:48
SPEAKER_01: I can't believe you believe that they actually landed on the moon.
55:53
SPEAKER_01: And there was, you know, quite a few comments like that.
55:56
SPEAKER_01: Uh, I did not read them all.
55:57
SPEAKER_01: I literally just before we came on uh the air here, I I perused and I took a look at them or not.
56:05
SPEAKER_01: There we go.
56:06
SPEAKER_01: All right, so let's see.
56:07
SPEAKER_01: Uh so this guy said, and bear with me, guys.
56:11
SPEAKER_01: I am reading this verbatim.
56:14
SPEAKER_01: I said the moon landing is fake, and I certainly believe in God.
56:18
SPEAKER_01: Double exclamation points.
56:19
SPEAKER_01: Study my channel so you can stop being ignorant.
56:23
SPEAKER_01: Another proof is the slingshot theory, no propulsion in space.
56:29
SPEAKER_01: Strap your leap to a rocket and aim for around 200,000 miles away, moving target moon, and estimate your speed, distance to moon, and its location when you arrive there and hope to God to save you for your foolishness.
56:45
SPEAKER_01: Major Tom and he, meaning Jesus, won't.
56:50
SPEAKER_01: As Jesus, it's very long, guys.
56:53
SPEAKER_01: As Jesus said to Satan, you shall not test your God when you miss, hard enough to hit a flying duck 300 feet away with an advantage of spraying multiple buckshot, not a single bullet, another exclamation point.
57:05
SPEAKER_01: Then the theory of cycling around the moon, much smaller mass, and what around 17, 17% of Earth's gravity, with only the last smallest capsule left a much smaller engine with much less gravity to provide thrust against to make it back to Earth and not miss it again.
57:24
SPEAKER_01: I'll get right on that.
57:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
57:28
SPEAKER_01: Um what?
57:33
SPEAKER_01: I'm sure anybody listening to that or trying to read it themselves, just like their head just exploded because it was, for the most part, one giant run-on sentence.
57:44
SPEAKER_01: In fact, it was so uh um jarring to me that I actually put it into, and I'm not kidding, I actually put it into chat and I said, what is he trying to say?
57:55
SPEAKER_01: What is this guy even saying?
57:57
SPEAKER_01: Can you put this in, like, you know, something grammatically understandable?
58:02
SPEAKER_01: And it did, of course.
58:04
SPEAKER_01: And it was also so kind as to give me some rebuttal because listen, moon landing stuff, not my lane, not my thing.
58:10
SPEAKER_01: Um, but I I just wanted to give some of the answers here so I can just set them off even more.
58:18
SPEAKER_01: So um, rockets work in space because of Newton's third law.
58:22
SPEAKER_01: They throw hot gas backward.
58:24
SPEAKER_01: They go, um, hang on, they go forward, no air required.
58:29
SPEAKER_01: We've been doing it since Sputnik.
58:31
SPEAKER_01: Um, hitting the moon isn't hope and prey, it's math, radar, star trackers, and mid-course corrections.
58:39
SPEAKER_01: The moon's huge Apollo 11 hit within four miles after 240,000 miles.
58:45
SPEAKER_01: Way easier than your duck fantasy.
58:48
SPEAKER_01: As far as returning, the moon's one-sixth gravity makes it easier to leave.
58:54
SPEAKER_01: The engines were designed for vacuum.
58:56
SPEAKER_01: They fired, we came home and brought back 842 pounds of rocks plus laser reflectors.
59:03
SPEAKER_01: We still bounce laser off of today.
59:05
SPEAKER_01: And then his don't test God is very cute theology, but engineering the universe he's supposed he made isn't tempting him.
59:14
SPEAKER_01: It's using the brain and physics that he gave us.
59:17
SPEAKER_01: Um, his your proofs, sir, were debunked 55 years ago.
59:21
SPEAKER_01: The data, footage, and tell I don't know that word, are public.
59:25
SPEAKER_01: No need to study your channel when reality already did the homework.
59:29
SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, I totally had to cheat on that, guys, and and just get the answer because I can't care enough about this whole thing.
59:40
SPEAKER_04: This is like the moon landing has become the new JFK, right?
59:44
SPEAKER_04: There's 500 theories about is it true, is it not?
59:47
SPEAKER_04: You know, this is no different than the magic bullet.
59:50
SPEAKER_04: This is no different than any any the grassy knoll and everything.
59:53
SPEAKER_04: You could argue, you know, communication through the Van Allen belt, you know, with radiation.
59:58
SPEAKER_04: You can talk about you know the heat and cold on the moon and how did they power everything.
1:00:04
SPEAKER_04: You can talk about there's there's a million reasons uh for and against believing in the moon landing.
1:00:10
SPEAKER_04: Uh and and truthfully, you're gonna believe what you want to believe at this end of the day.
1:00:18
SPEAKER_04: It doesn't matter, you know.
1:00:19
SPEAKER_04: I and I said this last week, uh at least I think I did, you know, I do love the fact that basically President Trump, in his first uh administration, basically said, why are we not doing this?
1:00:31
SPEAKER_04: Like we need to, and he set this in motion and it moved through the Biden administration and then ended up in the second Trump administration for execution.
1:00:38
SPEAKER_04: And good, right?
1:00:40
SPEAKER_04: I think this is something that we need to do.
1:00:42
SPEAKER_04: And for everybody who says that we didn't do it or that we can't do it, um, at some point when it does happen, that'll just end the argument and I won't care anymore.
1:00:51
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
1:00:52
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just I I can't, I just can't currently care about these arguments.
1:00:57
SPEAKER_01: They're they're back and forth for every single person who comes up with, you know, really valid sounding reasons for why it didn't happen or why it couldn't have happened.
1:01:09
SPEAKER_01: Um, there are just as many people that come right back with, well, here is all of the proof that it did.
1:01:15
SPEAKER_01: Like, here is all of the explanations for all of the questions that you've raised.
1:01:19
SPEAKER_01: So you can go back and forth all day long.
1:01:22
SPEAKER_01: You can, like Clay said, believe whatever you want to believe.
1:01:26
SPEAKER_01: If that makes your heart happy, go for it.
1:01:29
SPEAKER_01: Go for it.
1:01:30
SPEAKER_01: I'm just not gonna participate until I see something that I believe to be, you know, concrete, in indisputable, irrefutable uh arguments and and proof and facts.
1:01:43
SPEAKER_01: I'm not playing the speculation games with you guys.
1:01:47
SPEAKER_01: And when something becomes, like I said, indisputable, then you got me.
1:01:53
SPEAKER_01: And uh fine, I I I don't have a problem admitting when I'm wrong.
1:01:58
SPEAKER_01: However, I'll also say I haven't really committed to anything to have to say that I'm wrong.
1:02:03
SPEAKER_01: Like I've said many times over, I believe in the possibility of many, many, many, many things.
1:02:10
SPEAKER_01: I just like facts and I like proof.
1:02:12
SPEAKER_01: I like that the famous, um, you know, the famous, which is now a famous Candace line, the receipts.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_01: I want to see the receipts.
1:02:19
SPEAKER_01: Don't tell me you have receipts.
1:02:21
SPEAKER_01: Show me your receipts.
1:02:23
SPEAKER_01: That's all.
1:02:24
SPEAKER_01: That's all I got.
1:02:25
SPEAKER_01: That's it.
1:02:26
SPEAKER_01: That's it.
1:02:27
SPEAKER_01: As for the rest of the comments in the comment sections, you all are wonderful.
1:02:30
SPEAKER_01: You're all amazing.
1:02:31
SPEAKER_01: Even you people that come out with your craziness, you're amazing too.
1:02:34
SPEAKER_01: And I love you.
1:02:37
SPEAKER_01: Oh, Clay, what else you gotta say here?
1:02:40
SPEAKER_01: I I'm good.
1:02:41
SPEAKER_01: I'm done.
1:02:41
SPEAKER_01: I'm not yelling at anybody this week.
1:02:43
SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
1:02:44
SPEAKER_04: We do.
1:02:45
SPEAKER_04: We love it, it's entertaining.
1:02:46
SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, we do I think actually Elsa and I decided last week before we even finished recording that there was gonna be a moon comment that was going to end uh on this week's show.
1:02:58
SPEAKER_04: So I don't know where it'll come from next week, but we appreciate everybody's input.
1:03:01
SPEAKER_04: We love you guys, it's always a blast.
1:03:03
SPEAKER_04: And uh, you know, we we do this for our own entertainment, but we do it for you guys too.
1:03:08
SPEAKER_04: And we love the fact that you join us every week on Facebook and YouTube and across all of the listening spectrum as well.
1:03:13
SPEAKER_04: So uh we appreciate you, and we will see you next week.
1:03:16
SPEAKER_04: And as always for me, keep moving, keep shooting.
1:03:18
SPEAKER_01: Take care, guys.
1:03:19
SPEAKER_01: See you next week.
1:03:20
SPEAKER_02: The headlines will change by tomorrow, but the patterns won't.
1:03:24
SPEAKER_02: Thanks for spending this time with us.
1:03:26
SPEAKER_02: We'll be back to keep asking the harder questions and telling the quieter truths.
1:03:30
SPEAKER_02: Until then, stay grounded, be discerning, and we'll see you next time.
