- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We are an Action Network podcast. I'm your host, Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:18Speaker 1: back at it with my peoples, the first Lady of
- 0:20Speaker 1: the pod, Kendra Middleton, and the Prime Minister of Dgen
- 0:24Speaker 1: Nation Stucky. We're all a little foggier than usual post
- 0:28Speaker 1: super Bowl, but we'll break it all down. Put a
- 0:30Speaker 1: nice cap on the season. Kendra, how much food did
- 0:35Speaker 1: one thousand dollars get you at Hooters for the group?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What was your final wings and motts count?
- 0:42Speaker 2: It was insane.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I actually have a video clip that I should put
- 0:45Speaker 3: up on Socials today of how much food we had.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We had twelve people, lots of drinks, lots of food.
- 0:50Speaker 3: My final food count, I had eleven wings, two mots
- 0:55Speaker 3: of Rellistics, three buffalo shrimp, a basket of fries, half
- 0:59Speaker 3: of the you tray that came for the table, and
- 1:01Speaker 3: a piece.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Of chocolate cake and to diet cokes with lemon.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'm all disappointed in the amount of mozzarella sticks that
- 1:09Speaker 1: were consumed there, but yet I'll.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Bring us more or I would have had more.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You were trying to share with the group. How many
- 1:15Speaker 1: people were you with?
- 1:16Speaker 2: There were twelve of us.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, stucky, I know you. You go pretty hard
- 1:21Speaker 1: for the Super Bowl every year. What was it like
- 1:23Speaker 1: on your end?
- 1:24Speaker 4: Ah? Terrible. I had a wholeful super Bowl because of
- 1:27Speaker 4: the fourth quarter. First, the whole day was awful. I
- 1:30Speaker 4: ordered I pre ordered one hundred and fifty wings for
- 1:34Speaker 4: the bar at I pre ordered them at noon and
- 1:38Speaker 4: they're supposed to get there at six at six thirty. Nothing,
- 1:43Speaker 4: I call and they didn't. They got the orders mixed
- 1:46Speaker 4: up and never got my order, so I had to
- 1:48Speaker 4: order again. Got that. They ended up getting there at
- 1:51Speaker 4: like eight thirty, and everyone was hungry. I bought so
- 1:56Speaker 4: many squares of this big of this big bar pool
- 2:00Speaker 4: and there was only like a one row and one
- 2:01Speaker 4: column left. I got both two's, so there's thousands of
- 2:06Speaker 4: dollars down the drain. And then my five like main
- 2:11Speaker 4: positions on the game, where I had the Seahawks under
- 2:15Speaker 4: twenty five and a half total points, which I thought
- 2:19Speaker 4: was gonna be good.
- 2:22Speaker 1: That's what we usually think.
- 2:24Speaker 4: And then I had under three and a half touchbacks,
- 2:28Speaker 4: so Drake May throws a pick six after two short
- 2:31Speaker 4: field scores, there's a pick six and then there's a
- 2:35Speaker 4: touchback after that, so then I have Hunter Henry props,
- 2:42Speaker 4: so I'm like, all right, well, at least they're getting
- 2:43Speaker 4: blown out, and then the Pats are gonna met the ball.
- 2:44Speaker 4: He gets a concussion and doesn't come in for the
- 2:48Speaker 4: final dry, so it's Austin Hooper who gets the catches.
- 2:51Speaker 4: So I had Henry over sixteen and a half longest catch.
- 2:54Speaker 4: His longest catch was sixteen. Henry over three and a
- 2:57Speaker 4: half receptions. He ends with three under twenty five and
- 3:00Speaker 4: a half Seahawks, they score a pick six to go
- 3:03Speaker 4: over in the fourth quarter under three and a half touchbacks.
- 3:07Speaker 4: There's four touchbacks because of that pick six. And then
- 3:11Speaker 4: my other main position was over seven and a half
- 3:13Speaker 4: total runners in the game. There was seven and the
- 3:17Speaker 4: Patriot there was no sneak from Barner. There was no
- 3:21Speaker 4: no one else in the Patriots ran it. They didn't
- 3:22Speaker 4: get creative, so I lost. The only thing I got
- 3:25Speaker 4: right was under under longest punt return great, and then
- 3:30Speaker 4: I had some Barner touchdown, but I even had what
- 3:32Speaker 4: could have saved the day. I also had some all
- 3:35Speaker 4: unders which all got blown up.
- 3:38Speaker 1: In the fourth and that was such an under game too.
- 3:40Speaker 1: But it just they got aggressive. The Pats got aggressive
- 3:44Speaker 1: at the end, just trying.
- 3:45Speaker 4: To yeah, and then he gets gets a concussion.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So we all did. I think we all did pretty bad.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Did not hit the parlay Kendrick's leg of Drake May
- 3:59Speaker 1: throwing a pick the one to come through. I saw.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I saw the shit eating grin on Kendrick's face when
- 4:04Speaker 1: you mentioned Austin Hooper, because I know you were on Hoop,
- 4:07Speaker 1: but I was going through the app. We all sucked.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Okay, Also defensive MVP, which could have said that, but
- 4:14Speaker 4: any defensive player to gain MVP and guy.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Controude, So let's just let's just get to it. Let's
- 4:22Speaker 1: just get to the main dish. We'll start with the
- 4:24Speaker 1: MVP because Kendrick's all up in arms over the kicker
- 4:29Speaker 1: with a bunch of chip shots not getting m VP.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I think if anybody other than Kenneth Walker, and it
- 4:34Speaker 1: was pretty obvious throughout the game that if Seattle won,
- 4:37Speaker 1: which they was never really a sweat, that they were
- 4:40Speaker 1: going to that Kenneth Walker was going to claim MVP.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I thought, Devin Witherspoon, if you're just looking at things
- 4:45Speaker 1: schematically in the and and the basically the strip sack
- 4:49Speaker 1: that he had that sealed the game. I think you're
- 4:51Speaker 1: gonna make made a case for him. Why Jason Myers.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I mean, other than the fact that the guy hit
- 4:56Speaker 1: a bunch of easy field goals, how does that equate
- 4:59Speaker 1: super Bowl MVP status.
- 5:02Speaker 3: He had the most points, He did the things he
- 5:05Speaker 3: was supposed to do. Honestly, if it wasn't for the
- 5:08Speaker 3: absolute breakdown of the offensive line in the second.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Half, he he he.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Should have been my MVP one because I think he
- 5:16Speaker 3: deserved it too. I think it would have been so funny.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I just I needed it for the plot. It was
- 5:22Speaker 3: the super Bowl we deserved, it was the MVP we deserved,
- 5:25Speaker 3: and for the hilarity of it all. He had an
- 5:27Speaker 3: incredible first half, didn't miss extra points.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Also, his my king him or the punter like that?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Then, dude, I knew that the game sucked when the
- 5:38Speaker 1: punter started getting credit for the way he spun the
- 5:41Speaker 1: ball off of his foot of like, this is not
- 5:43Speaker 1: going to go down as one of the all time
- 5:45Speaker 1: great super Bowls. I was good with the way that
- 5:48Speaker 1: it went. As far as Walker getting it, he is
- 5:50Speaker 1: the first running back that we've seen since Terrell Davis
- 5:54Speaker 1: in Super Bowl thirty two to take home Super Bowl MVP. Stucky.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Do you think the voters got it right?
- 6:02Speaker 4: I get I mean, I guess it was. It's a
- 6:04Speaker 4: tricky one. I mean, the fact that Walker had such
- 6:07Speaker 4: a successful day against that run defense, Uh, he deserves
- 6:11Speaker 4: his flowers for that. But I mean, honestly, it just
- 6:17Speaker 4: the way that that game went, it feels like it
- 6:18Speaker 4: should have been someone on the Seahawks defense. I mean,
- 6:23Speaker 4: Drake May was miserable. He now he ends with the
- 6:27Speaker 4: worst EPA in NFL history in any postseason. Uh, he
- 6:32Speaker 4: was terrible. Again. I don't know what the Patriots game
- 6:36Speaker 4: plan was. What what did they They didn't do anything creative, nothing.
- 6:42Speaker 2: They they were so unprepared for that game. It was
- 6:45Speaker 2: the defense they were playing.
- 6:48Speaker 4: What what did they do for the past two weeks?
- 6:50Speaker 4: There was there was? They just drop back Drake May
- 6:53Speaker 4: with that offensive line after and just pray.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Never mind the fact that Vrabel was one of the
- 6:59Speaker 1: most aggressive coaches in the NFL all year. They've got
- 7:02Speaker 1: a fourth and one midfield in the middle of that
- 7:05Speaker 1: game and they punt. That's not been their brand all year.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It just felt like they played scared. They got away
- 7:12Speaker 1: from who they were. And I do think the Drake
- 7:16Speaker 1: may injury perhaps played a factor in this, because we
- 7:19Speaker 1: did see the story that he received in an injection
- 7:22Speaker 1: in his shoulder prior to the game. That means there
- 7:24Speaker 1: was some real pain there, and I felt like he
- 7:26Speaker 1: only got worse in terms of missing some throws that
- 7:29Speaker 1: he's been making all year as the game went along.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Is that toar doll shot starts to wear off. It
- 7:35Speaker 1: felt like that was an impact in my opinion, Kendra.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Has that been a big conversation around your area.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been a massive conversation, just because all of
- 7:43Speaker 3: the people who are known to be very in the
- 7:47Speaker 3: Patriots pocket up here were very adamant that it was fine.
- 7:52Speaker 3: It wasn't going to be a story, it wasn't going
- 7:54Speaker 3: to be a difference maker. I'm sorry, if you take
- 7:57Speaker 3: a tour it all shot, it's not enough.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It's not something you haven't been struggling with. It is.
- 8:03Speaker 3: You don't choose to do that if something is not wrong.
- 8:06Speaker 3: And I get that he was on the injury report
- 8:08Speaker 3: and they wound up, you know, taking him off and
- 8:10Speaker 3: saying he was fine.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I'm sorry, getting a tourt all shot.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Is not being fine, and so that's been like a
- 8:17Speaker 3: big conversation up here. The other thing that's been a
- 8:19Speaker 3: big conversation I watched up to the first half before
- 8:23Speaker 3: we hopped on here just to kind of make sure
- 8:25Speaker 3: that I wasn't seeing things that I wasn't in the
- 8:28Speaker 3: moment full of hooters and in a daze.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But Will Campbell was terrible.
- 8:34Speaker 3: That was one of the worst performances that I've seen
- 8:38Speaker 3: from him all season.
- 8:39Speaker 2: On him and Drake both, but it starts with Will Campbell.
- 8:42Speaker 3: The other big story up here has been that he
- 8:44Speaker 3: had just a disaster of a game and declined to
- 8:48Speaker 3: speak to the media last night. So it seems like
- 8:50Speaker 3: things are not all peachy Keene up here at the moment,
- 8:54Speaker 3: which you knew they would be, but in ways that Drake.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I saw an interview with him in the national media.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Is there a specific sector of the media that he declined.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Will Campbell declined the Will Campbell.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Okay, okay, sorry, yeah, uh no, he was You're right,
- 9:10Speaker 1: he was terrible. The fact that guard like he is
- 9:13Speaker 1: a guard, the fact that he that May got sacked
- 9:15Speaker 1: six times, and Will Campbell couldn't block a tissue box
- 9:19Speaker 1: last night, and I and I still couldn't get home
- 9:21Speaker 1: on DeMarcus Lawrence to record a sack was a little
- 9:23Speaker 1: bit depressing.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I know, I tailed you on that one. That was
- 9:26Speaker 3: that was very depressing considering everything.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Oh everybody else got involved. Don't worry. We had Devin
- 9:31Speaker 1: Witherspoon sacks and all of that stuck you. How much
- 9:34Speaker 1: of the lack of offensive firepower that we saw from
- 9:39Speaker 1: New England do you put on the injury that we
- 9:42Speaker 1: we tried to kind of brush under the rug.
- 9:45Speaker 4: I mean, here, here's a rebuttal to that, though, is
- 9:47Speaker 4: that to what kend was saying, may look like he
- 9:51Speaker 4: looked against all of the top five defenses he faced
- 9:54Speaker 4: in the playoffs. He's been horrible all playoffs and he's
- 9:57Speaker 4: horrible again. So and on this there was another step
- 10:00Speaker 4: up in class as far as the opposing defense that
- 10:03Speaker 4: he faced. So he was he was terrible literally from
- 10:07Speaker 4: start to finish in the playoffs again when he finally
- 10:09Speaker 4: had a face top defenses. So yeah, I there's there's
- 10:14Speaker 4: definitely questions moving forward about you know, he was inching
- 10:18Speaker 4: towards everyone saying that he might be a top five
- 10:20Speaker 4: quarterback in the league. We might have rushed the judgment
- 10:23Speaker 4: and in the end, the schedule one, the schedule arguers
- 10:27Speaker 4: all were proven right.
- 10:30Speaker 3: And how much of his struggles in the postseason do
- 10:33Speaker 3: you think are related to him being hurt though, or
- 10:36Speaker 3: just the step up in class?
- 10:38Speaker 4: I mean, what was he hurt in the.
- 10:41Speaker 3: People are saying it's been for a few weeks now.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I just figured it was the weather. You know that
- 10:46Speaker 1: I was willing to dismiss the lack of productivity because
- 10:51Speaker 1: the guy was playing in blizzards for two.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Thirds of where I was at.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I mean, there's if you can't put all on him either.
- 10:56Speaker 4: The offensive line is still a problem. The wide receivers
- 10:59Speaker 4: aren't elite at getting separation. But you cannot not come
- 11:05Speaker 4: away from watching him in the postseason and say, like
- 11:10Speaker 4: he was missing wide open guys. He looked frazzled in
- 11:13Speaker 4: the pocket. His lack of pocket presence and awareness was
- 11:19Speaker 4: evident from the start. I mean, he did not look
- 11:22Speaker 4: comfortable once under pressure since the Chargers game in the
- 11:28Speaker 4: first round. So yeah, there's and if you look, there's
- 11:32Speaker 4: a clear difference in who the Pats faced during the
- 11:36Speaker 4: regular season, the defenses they faced versus the playoffs, and
- 11:41Speaker 4: Drake May's production fell off a cliff, and it doesn't.
- 11:44Speaker 4: You can't blame at all on him. But I also
- 11:47Speaker 4: find it amazing that Josh McDaniels has now been on
- 11:51Speaker 4: the offensive staff of ten teams that have made a
- 11:55Speaker 4: Super Bowl since two thousand and they've scored a total
- 12:00Speaker 4: of three points in the first quarter. Three points in
- 12:04Speaker 4: ten Super Bowls.
- 12:05Speaker 2: That's a great scott like that.
- 12:07Speaker 4: It's embarrassing. They came up with nothing. You have two
- 12:10Speaker 4: weeks to prepare. There was nothing creative. There was You
- 12:13Speaker 4: didn't try to, you know, get your wide receivers involved
- 12:18Speaker 4: in the run game, try a trick play here or there,
- 12:21Speaker 4: come up with something different schematically and said just drop
- 12:24Speaker 4: Dre Drake may back against this defense and hope and
- 12:27Speaker 4: pray that that what did they They didn't come up
- 12:30Speaker 4: with anything creative over the tw weeks and that's but
- 12:34Speaker 4: it's pretty crazy. Twenty years, ten super Bowls, twenty five years,
- 12:38Speaker 4: ten Superls, three first quarter points.
- 12:41Speaker 1: It's unfortunate that we don't have a game next week
- 12:43Speaker 1: because the Patriots would be a great bet. After getting
- 12:46Speaker 1: blown out. This would be a pretty un brand for
- 12:49Speaker 1: the podcast to go back into the Patriots. Well next year, though,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know, you've got that trend that you can follow
- 12:57Speaker 1: teams coming off of a Super Bowl loss that really
- 12:59Speaker 1: struggle and Kansas City was the latest example of that
- 13:03Speaker 1: this year. The Patriots early on next year could be
- 13:06Speaker 1: a really strong fade candidate. So keep that in your
- 13:09Speaker 1: back pocket.
- 13:10Speaker 4: For next year. Everything went. Look, it's not a given
- 13:14Speaker 4: that you're going to get back to the super Bowl.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Like if I think about all the quarterbacks that really
- 13:19Speaker 4: good quarterbacks that have only made one Super Bowl, some
- 13:21Speaker 4: have never made any super Bowls. In order to get
- 13:24Speaker 4: to a super Bowl unless you're like the elite of
- 13:26Speaker 4: the elite, and a lot of times to get to
- 13:29Speaker 4: a super Bowl, you need a number of things to
- 13:30Speaker 4: break your way, which they did for the most part
- 13:33Speaker 4: with the Patriots. It was injuries, the sket they were
- 13:36Speaker 4: healthy for most of the year, They had a last
- 13:39Speaker 4: place schedule that ended up being the easiest of any
- 13:43Speaker 4: team this century. And then in the playoffs they get,
- 13:47Speaker 4: you know, a backup quarterback in the ANFC Championship game.
- 13:50Speaker 4: You have all of the elite quarterbacks in the AFC
- 13:52Speaker 4: were taken out or didn't make the playoffs. This was
- 13:55Speaker 4: every single thing broke the Patriots away. This year for
- 13:58Speaker 4: them to get to the super Bowl next year, Guess what,
- 14:02Speaker 4: you got a first place schedule. You now have a
- 14:05Speaker 4: target on your back. You're probably not gonna have as
- 14:07Speaker 4: good of injury luck, and I doubt that they get
- 14:13Speaker 4: back there next year. So this was the year and
- 14:16Speaker 4: they got to the super Bowl, but they took credits
- 14:18Speaker 4: them for taking advantage of the schedule. But you're not
- 14:21Speaker 4: gonna get Jarrett Stidham in the AFC Championship Game ever again.
- 14:24Speaker 4: And now you have a first place schedule and things
- 14:27Speaker 4: are going to get much more difficult for the Patriots
- 14:30Speaker 4: next year.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Usually after a team wins the Super Bowl, we just
- 14:33Speaker 1: automatically install them as the favorites and somewhat overwhelmingly. And
- 14:39Speaker 1: it doesn't feel like that is going to be the
- 14:41Speaker 1: case this year. I do believe they are tied with
- 14:45Speaker 1: the Rams. Yeah, they're both at plus nine p fifty
- 14:48Speaker 1: to win the Super Bowl next year are the Seattle Seahawks.
- 14:51Speaker 1: But typically when you see this team that's they go
- 14:55Speaker 1: through this run in the playoffs and they hoist the Lombardi,
- 14:57Speaker 1: there's that conversation the next of man, like, who's gonna
- 15:01Speaker 1: beat this team next year? Is there a dynasty forming
- 15:04Speaker 1: and all of that, and it doesn't feel like this
- 15:06Speaker 1: is that year. Definitely for the Patriots as being on
- 15:08Speaker 1: the losing side, but for Seattle as well.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Kendra, I was gonna say, I hate to continue to
- 15:14Speaker 3: be a Pats troll, but the second the total comes
- 15:18Speaker 3: out for next year, I might be on the under
- 15:20Speaker 3: Like I, you can't tell me that there's not going
- 15:22Speaker 3: to be some sort of one weird regression. There's no
- 15:25Speaker 3: way they're gonna spend money. I just I don't see
- 15:29Speaker 3: them going out and actually doing the right thing by
- 15:32Speaker 3: getting a new left tackle and moving Will Campbell to guard, like,
- 15:35Speaker 3: I just don't see them doing the right things to
- 15:37Speaker 3: get better, and their schedule is about to get a
- 15:39Speaker 3: lot more difficult.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Probably I would think it's do you know I blame
- 15:46Speaker 4: for the I mean that Super Bowl was horrendous, by
- 15:48Speaker 4: the way, one of the worst goals I've ever watched.
- 15:50Speaker 1: It was terrible. I turned it off with two minutes
- 15:52Speaker 1: to go. I don't think I've ever turned to Super
- 15:54Speaker 1: Bowl up if not.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Nothing happened for the first like the if what was
- 15:57Speaker 4: the most memorable play of the first half.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I have to say it got to a point where
- 16:02Speaker 3: we were all sitting in Hooters, which was they sold out,
- 16:05Speaker 3: packed out Hooters, by the way, and it was so
- 16:08Speaker 3: silent that we could hear them doing dishes in the back.
- 16:13Speaker 4: That's amazing. What was the first Oh, I also had
- 16:16Speaker 4: zero zero first quarter tie, which was amazing. I ended
- 16:18Speaker 4: at three nothing h even the Patriots had they kicked
- 16:24Speaker 4: the touch back to start the game, Like, you couldn't
- 16:26Speaker 4: you let them start the thirty five? So but what
- 16:32Speaker 4: was the most memorable play of the first half?
- 16:36Speaker 3: That punt that the Seahawks punter had that it was
- 16:39Speaker 3: an absolute bomb. Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I agree with our producer David Payne and our private
- 16:45Speaker 1: puts national anthem to flyover epic ten out of ten. Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 4: But do you know I blamed all this. I mean
- 16:51Speaker 4: partly it's John Harball for not for kneeling down. Uh
- 16:58Speaker 4: he could have if he just ran a play and
- 17:00Speaker 4: then kick the field goal, the Ravens could have been here.
- 17:02Speaker 4: But I blame the Bills. It's always the Bill's fault.
- 17:06Speaker 4: The Bills number one, if they just they get that
- 17:09Speaker 4: dumb fourth down stop when Trevor Lawrence's shin hits and
- 17:14Speaker 4: then they have to beat the Jags, which is fine.
- 17:16Speaker 4: I mean I think the Jags. If the Jags won
- 17:17Speaker 4: that game, I think the Jags were gonna go to.
- 17:19Speaker 3: The You know who didn't look this shitty against the
- 17:21Speaker 3: Seattle Seahawks this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars bit they were
- 17:25Speaker 3: really good against.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I think the Jags were gonna go to the super
- 17:28Speaker 4: Bowl and they would have given us their offense would
- 17:30Speaker 4: have at least looked confident, and Liam Cohen would have
- 17:33Speaker 4: had an actual game plan. Yeah, that was whatever Bills.
- 17:37Speaker 4: The Bills would have put up put up a fight
- 17:39Speaker 4: against Seattle. So the Bills whatever, they beat Jacksonville. We
- 17:42Speaker 4: all hated that was the matchup that we put the
- 17:45Speaker 4: Bills in.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Jags, And what's the point of them winning their division
- 17:48Speaker 3: if they're gonna pull the Bills Like that's such bull crap.
- 17:51Speaker 2: We seriously need to get to a point where it's
- 17:53Speaker 2: like a school yard pick them.
- 17:54Speaker 3: You get the best in the conference, you pick who
- 17:58Speaker 3: you want to play first, and then the second place
- 17:59Speaker 3: gets a pick.
- 18:00Speaker 2: That's the only way that this is going to solve.
- 18:02Speaker 2: And this bullshit's gonna end.
- 18:04Speaker 4: But let's yes, the Jags got screwed, so but the
- 18:09Speaker 4: Bills win. Okay, that's fine. So then they go to
- 18:11Speaker 4: Denver and not only did they lose, they took the
- 18:17Speaker 4: Broncos right to the brink. So Bonnicks gets hurt and
- 18:21Speaker 4: is out for the year. So then Jared Stidham has
- 18:24Speaker 4: to start in the AFC Championship game, and that's how
- 18:27Speaker 4: we get the Patriots in the Super Bowl. So in
- 18:30Speaker 4: the end, it's always the Bill's fault.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yes, And to your point about the first half, let
- 18:36Speaker 1: me just run through the play by play here. Field
- 18:39Speaker 1: goal for Seattle, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, field goal, punt, punt, punt,
- 18:47Speaker 1: field goal, end of half. That was the first half
- 18:50Speaker 1: of the Super Bowl.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 18:52Speaker 1: That is what we witnessed last night.
- 18:55Speaker 4: And had a long halftime. So and then the third
- 18:58Speaker 4: it felt so long. Yeah, in the third quarter, the
- 19:03Speaker 4: lead up to the Super Bowl two is so long,
- 19:06Speaker 4: Like the afternoon, the three thirty, the six thirty is
- 19:10Speaker 4: it feels like it's like ten hours, so you're waiting
- 19:12Speaker 4: for the game and then nothing pretty much happened until
- 19:15Speaker 4: like eight thirty at night. So it was that that'll
- 19:20Speaker 4: go down as one of the worst Super Bowls I
- 19:22Speaker 4: can ever remember. Not then, and then I also lost
- 19:24Speaker 4: every single bet that I made, So a little, nice
- 19:27Speaker 4: little cherry on top.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Yeah, a great, great way to end the season.
- 19:29Speaker 4: In the fourth quarters, like all my bets were looking
- 19:31Speaker 4: okay in the most boring game ever. So I was like, well,
- 19:35Speaker 4: at least some of my bets look good and then
- 19:38Speaker 4: of course everything blows up in the fourth quarter. So
- 19:41Speaker 4: I will I will not look back fondly on the
- 19:45Speaker 4: Super Bowl or my betting performance.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I will never rewatch this one. I can guarantee that.
- 19:50Speaker 1: One other note, I know that he wasn't ever gonna
- 19:53Speaker 1: win MVP in this game because he didn't need to
- 19:55Speaker 1: be elite last night. And that is the quarterback of
- 19:58Speaker 1: the Seahawks, Sam Darnold, who go was completely overlooked in
- 20:01Speaker 1: our entire dialogue here.
- 20:02Speaker 2: He wanted to throw a pick.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So oh, he was definitely trying. He wanted to get
- 20:07Speaker 1: involved in that pick parlay that we had. But if
- 20:10Speaker 1: you look at the waves of impact that that Darnald
- 20:14Speaker 1: acquisition created, it's pretty outstanding. So the Seahawks won a
- 20:17Speaker 1: Super Bowl. That's first and foremost. The Vikings fired their
- 20:21Speaker 1: general manager. The Raiders wound up with the Gino Smith.
- 20:25Speaker 1: They were so bad with him they get the number
- 20:27Speaker 1: one overall pick, which is going to be Fernando Mendoza,
- 20:30Speaker 1: and then the Seahawks offensive coordinator becomes their new head coach.
- 20:33Speaker 1: And he admitted that in the postgame interview the catalyst
- 20:36Speaker 1: to all of this was Seattle choosing Darnald over Gino
- 20:40Speaker 1: is what set all of this into motion. It's just
- 20:44Speaker 1: amazing when you watch the ripple effect of Sam Darnold
- 20:47Speaker 1: winding up with the Seattle Seahawks.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I put this in our notes, but him being the
- 20:52Speaker 3: first of his draft class quarterback wise to win a
- 20:55Speaker 3: Super Bowl between him Lamar, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen, hilarious.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Hilarious.
- 21:02Speaker 3: By the way, I did see a really good meme
- 21:05Speaker 3: that someone sent in our group chat, and it was
- 21:07Speaker 3: like Sam Donald and this woman in the corner and
- 21:11Speaker 3: then like a person sitting in the back in a
- 21:13Speaker 3: coup chair with a Jets hat on, and the girl
- 21:16Speaker 3: is like, is this okay?
- 21:18Speaker 2: It's just the Jets in the back in the chair.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I thought that that was so good.
- 21:24Speaker 4: You mentioned Donald, and I mean, yeah, it's an important No,
- 21:29Speaker 4: I mean, who wasn't great in this?
- 21:31Speaker 2: No, he was not great.
- 21:32Speaker 4: He was actually pretty bad. I thought I mean, what
- 21:35Speaker 4: have you finished nineteen to thirty eight or two hundred yards?
- 21:39Speaker 4: I think the biggest storyline of the entire season and
- 21:44Speaker 4: of the Super Bowl. It was the microcosm of this season.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Was you mentioned the decision to move on from Gino
- 21:51Speaker 4: and bringing Donald, which was important, but the decision to
- 21:54Speaker 4: move on from Pete Carroll and to go to Mike McDonald. Right,
- 21:59Speaker 4: this is a guy that won a Super Bowl, that
- 22:01Speaker 4: was beloved in Seattle to make that sit that aggressive
- 22:05Speaker 4: decision to move on to new coach, and I think
- 22:07Speaker 4: that was the key storyline of the season. We've talked
- 22:11Speaker 4: about this ad nausea, right, Ben Johnson, his impact not
- 22:14Speaker 4: only to Chicago, but his loss and that impact to
- 22:20Speaker 4: Detroit and what happen with them. Liam Cohen not only
- 22:23Speaker 4: his impact on Jacksonville but how much Tampa missed him.
- 22:27Speaker 4: And you can go on and on about these coaches
- 22:29Speaker 4: and the coaching changes, and then the most impactful of
- 22:32Speaker 4: all was McDonald going to Seattle and the defense that
- 22:34Speaker 4: he was able to craft and lead this team to
- 22:36Speaker 4: a Super Bowl. And it just shows the impact of coordinators,
- 22:42Speaker 4: coaches and change can have on an organization in just
- 22:46Speaker 4: one season. In the NFL, and then you look, I
- 22:50Speaker 4: think that's again going to be a huge storyline going
- 22:54Speaker 4: into next year. I didn't even mentioned. I mean, you
- 22:56Speaker 4: could talk about the Eagles right there, the offensive coordinator
- 22:59Speaker 4: mets that they had all year and how that ended
- 23:02Speaker 4: up costing them. But you go into next year with
- 23:05Speaker 4: ten new head coaches, right you have Lafleur at Arizona,
- 23:11Speaker 4: Stefanski in Atlanta, Mint and Baltimore, Brady and Buffalo, Monkin
- 23:16Speaker 4: and Cleveland, Kubiak in Vegas, Hafley and Miami, Harball in
- 23:22Speaker 4: New York, McCarthy and Pittsburgh, Sala and Tennessee, and then
- 23:26Speaker 4: you go on to all the coordinator changes. One of
- 23:31Speaker 4: our jobs is going to be and I think this
- 23:33Speaker 4: is going to be key to wind total betting futures
- 23:36Speaker 4: is determining which one of those hires or handful of
- 23:39Speaker 4: hires it's going to have the most positive and also
- 23:45Speaker 4: the least positive or the most negative impact to that team.
- 23:48Speaker 2: And it's like the Lions effect from last year.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and we saw both of their coordinators leave and
- 23:53Speaker 3: they missed the postseason. You know, like that was the
- 23:56Speaker 3: number one thing that I thought about when their win
- 23:58Speaker 3: total came out.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Yeah, like Mike McDaniel going to the Chargers as a
- 24:04Speaker 4: new offensive coordinator with their you know now healthy offensive line.
- 24:08Speaker 4: How much impact does that have? There's so many storylines
- 24:11Speaker 4: and you can tell that NFL teams I think are
- 24:16Speaker 4: now being more aggressive when it comes to coaching changes
- 24:19Speaker 4: and moving on from guys and understanding the impact that
- 24:23Speaker 4: coordinator moves, head coaching changes can have. And that was
- 24:28Speaker 4: extremely evident this season and ended up ending with a
- 24:32Speaker 4: ended up leading to a super Bowl in Seattle because
- 24:34Speaker 4: of McDonald.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I think you may have just identified our first episode
- 24:38Speaker 1: theme in the off season is trying to track down
- 24:42Speaker 1: what those coaching moves are. You detailed a lot of them,
- 24:46Speaker 1: but figuring out how to value that going into next
- 24:49Speaker 1: season is going to be extremely valuable. We'll keep the
- 24:52Speaker 1: conversation rolling, but first a word from our very own
- 24:56Speaker 1: Kendri Middleton.
- 24:57Speaker 3: The Favorites podcast has teamed output rap King Sports Book,

- 25:20Speaker 2: If your bet wins, the crown is yours?
- 25:24Speaker 1: All right, Kendra post super Bowl, load it up on
- 25:27Speaker 1: wings and Mazzarella sticks and Triump didn't even know Hooters
- 25:31Speaker 1: had that.
- 25:32Speaker 2: They're so good?
- 25:33Speaker 1: What's on your mind?
- 25:33Speaker 4: What sell could you have been?
- 25:38Speaker 3: All one Monaco not being the entrance song. He went
- 25:48Speaker 3: with the song everybody thought he would open with, which
- 25:50Speaker 3: is so boring.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I was like disappointed in that.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I thought that the set for the halftime show was
- 25:56Speaker 3: very catered to the TV audience, which makes sense, like
- 25:59Speaker 3: that's where as people are going to be watching. I
- 26:01Speaker 3: expected more of the like Shakira style stage, but I
- 26:04Speaker 3: liked that it was interactive, which led me to I
- 26:08Speaker 3: know that you guys have been chronically online like myself,
- 26:11Speaker 3: and we all saw that the bushes that were around
- 26:14Speaker 3: the set were actually people dressed as bushes. Could you
- 26:19Speaker 3: imagine being on a gummy dressed like a bush going
- 26:23Speaker 3: to do the Super Bowl halftime show?
- 26:25Speaker 2: Because that is my personal dream.
- 26:27Speaker 3: It gives like the Stanford you guys know the Stanford mascot,
- 26:30Speaker 3: how it's like a tree and it's a different person
- 26:32Speaker 3: from their band every week that has to go dress
- 26:34Speaker 3: up as the tree and like dance around at their stuff.
- 26:38Speaker 3: This is my dream, dreams to be a tree, To
- 26:43Speaker 3: be a tree at the super Bowl halftime show off
- 26:46Speaker 3: a gummy.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Yes, I think she specifically said loaded on THHC while
- 26:51Speaker 1: also dressed as a tree is the specific time.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Sometimes when I'm high in public, I get anxious.
- 26:57Speaker 3: But if I'm hiding in that and I get to
- 26:58Speaker 3: just stand there and vibe and listen to Bad Bunny
- 27:01Speaker 3: and like not have actual, real human thoughts, that is
- 27:04Speaker 3: so ideal.
- 27:05Speaker 4: I stopping you from doing that in your own house.
- 27:07Speaker 1: That's true, you could do that on the podcast We
- 27:10Speaker 1: won't judge you.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I do think that we should do a four twenty
- 27:14Speaker 3: episode the Stressed is Trees.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I did. I did very minimal Bad Bunny research, And
- 27:21Speaker 1: by research, I mean just listening to a few of
- 27:24Speaker 1: his songs that were popular and either I didn't listen
- 27:28Speaker 1: to them enough to recognize them, or he didn't play
- 27:31Speaker 1: them last night.
- 27:32Speaker 2: So he played is it anything, only.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Part of it. Stucky that Mia song. I was vibing
- 27:40Speaker 1: to that on Saturday and then he didn't even sing
- 27:43Speaker 1: it right or did I miss it?
- 27:46Speaker 2: I don't what.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm not going to sing it here me me that one.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I don't.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't know that's a song with Cardi B. I
- 27:55Speaker 1: like it.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Oh, So, speaking of Cardi B, there's what what Evan?
- 28:00Speaker 4: Can you clarify? So there's a huge controversy on the
- 28:05Speaker 4: prediction markets with stage or not.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Mean definitely on stage.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:11Speaker 5: What's all I gotta say is I got paid out.
- 28:14Speaker 5: I took no and there's more money in my account.
- 28:17Speaker 5: But it wasn't, So I think they're saying technically she wasn't.
- 28:23Speaker 5: I really don't want to look into it more because
- 28:24Speaker 5: I feel like they're going to catch me and they're
- 28:26Speaker 5: going to take my money away from me. So I
- 28:28Speaker 5: just want to leave it alone and move on to
- 28:30Speaker 5: college basketball.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Was she not on stage?
- 28:34Speaker 5: Was just I guess they're trying to say she like
- 28:37Speaker 5: wasn't a performer, or but I thought the bet was.
- 28:40Speaker 5: I think that like I had the Gaga bet that
- 28:43Speaker 5: lost because she obviously was a performer, but Cardi b
- 28:46Speaker 5: I'm guessing that they said that she wasn't. And there
- 28:50Speaker 5: was a lot of people on a lot of different
- 28:51Speaker 5: shows who had action on that bet because they're like,
- 28:54Speaker 5: why would you be on stage? She's there with Stefan Diggs,
- 28:57Speaker 5: blah blah blah blah blah.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But was is that the specific wording of the bet?
- 29:02Speaker 1: Was it perform or appear on stage?
- 29:04Speaker 5: We read yeah, she did not perform, and I think
- 29:08Speaker 5: that was the difference, but a.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Lot of.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Was that it was it had to be a performance. Also,
- 29:18Speaker 3: I added into our notes that allegedly Cardi and Stefan
- 29:23Speaker 3: Diggs broke up last night.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I did do the research. They both.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Unfollowed each other on Instagram, and.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Apparently he brought another.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Girl back to his room last night after they all
- 29:39Speaker 3: went out and she found out and freaked out, allegedly.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Which returning in the TMZ here, I will say, I
- 29:46Speaker 4: don't how much how liquid were those on stage bets
- 29:53Speaker 4: on the prediction market? Seven? Yeah?
- 29:56Speaker 5: Very I mean there's so much volume. There was a
- 30:00Speaker 5: a lot of money. To me like, oh yeah, of course.
- 30:05Speaker 4: I mean, listen, you know you used to be able
- 30:06Speaker 4: to bet these things, you know, back in the day
- 30:10Speaker 4: before legalized down but you could I mean, what would
- 30:12Speaker 4: you could get like a fifty dollars bat down right
- 30:15Speaker 4: like correct? Which no, they're not, you're not. You don't
- 30:18Speaker 4: have to worry about insider trading like there's but as
- 30:22Speaker 4: these markets get more looking, I mean, how many people
- 30:24Speaker 4: are involved in the actual production that are you know,
- 30:28Speaker 4: workers at the stadium that know all these things.
- 30:32Speaker 5: So Gago was Goago was definitely inside information because she
- 30:36Speaker 5: was at like minus five hundred, minus six hundred, which
- 30:38Speaker 5: made little sense, and she obviously a lot of people
- 30:42Speaker 5: obviously knew about that. But I believe me, like most
- 30:47Speaker 5: of that is definitely a little insidery, which you could understand.
- 30:53Speaker 5: But this one just had a lot of controversy, which
- 30:56Speaker 5: is obviously making the market more public, if that makes sense.
- 31:00Speaker 1: If I may, Evan, what motivated you to bet on
- 31:03Speaker 1: this in the first place?
- 31:04Speaker 5: Sitting there talking with my wife and a few other people,
- 31:07Speaker 5: and I was bored and I wanted to kind of
- 31:10Speaker 5: diversify my portfolio. And during the Super Bowl and that
- 31:13Speaker 5: was honestly the funny thing is on our stream for
- 31:16Speaker 5: our playbook live show in the morning, I told everyone
- 31:19Speaker 5: I had the no Gaga bet which lost, but failed
- 31:22Speaker 5: to tell people that I had that CARDI b bet,
- 31:25Speaker 5: which now I guess won, and I've you know, I'm
- 31:28Speaker 5: taking that money and running.
- 31:29Speaker 2: This is shady.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I think I learned that I'm not going to bet
- 31:33Speaker 3: heavy on the super Bowl, Thanksgiving or Christmas next year.
- 31:37Speaker 3: I'm going to keep it the same as I always do.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I can't go hand for these anymore.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I hate I hate the super Bowl. I hate this
- 31:47Speaker 4: when as far any game during the whole year, the
- 31:50Speaker 4: super Bowl is one of my least favorite games, which
- 31:53Speaker 4: is crazy to say, but there's two weeks leading up
- 31:56Speaker 4: to one game you're so sick of talking about, like
- 31:59Speaker 4: I'm talking to as a as someone who does content,
- 32:01Speaker 4: you're so sick of talking about it, right, and then
- 32:05Speaker 4: you have like the lead up to the game, and
- 32:07Speaker 4: then there's the long halftime and it's just it's exhausting.
- 32:11Speaker 4: I'd like, I look, I'm more excited about a random,
- 32:15Speaker 4: you know, Tuesday night mac football game than the super Bowl.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So yeah, we just treated it so differently. I had
- 32:25Speaker 1: twelve bets on this game. No what I'm saying, well,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I would never have twelve. Yeah, it could be the
- 32:31Speaker 1: biggest Game of the week in Week six. I would
- 32:33Speaker 1: never put twelve bets.
- 32:34Speaker 4: On again out in the super Bowl. I mean, you had,
- 32:37Speaker 4: that's part of it. That's part of the fun. I mean,
- 32:39Speaker 4: that's that's one of the that's part of the fun.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Like you, it's hard to find you're not gonna have
- 32:42Speaker 4: like a huge edge on the side or total I
- 32:43Speaker 4: don't think in the super Bowl at the end of
- 32:45Speaker 4: the year. So uh yeah, I always did gen out
- 32:49Speaker 4: and make a bunch of bets. That's part of the
- 32:52Speaker 4: fun of it, like sweating the props. But obviously I
- 32:55Speaker 4: got everyone wrong, so maybe I shouldn't do that.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I like going out a winner. Did not happen here.
- 33:01Speaker 1: All right, guys, let's plant our flag presented by DraftKings.
- 33:04Speaker 1: The crown is yours.
- 33:07Speaker 2: M flag in a shut up, I'm trying to plant
- 33:10Speaker 2: my flag here.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Okay, you're really planning your flag in that thing. Obviously,
- 33:14Speaker 1: if we have no game next week, sadly to plant
- 33:18Speaker 1: our flag on. But let's plant our flag for twenty
- 33:21Speaker 1: twenty six or for the champion of that we'll be
- 33:24Speaker 1: in twenty twenty seven, whichever direction you guys want to
- 33:27Speaker 1: go on this. If you want to go Super Bowls.
- 33:29Speaker 1: To quick tidbit on that Seattle, as I mentioned earlier,
- 33:32Speaker 1: tied with the Rams at plus nine point fifty to
- 33:35Speaker 1: win the Bowl, followed by the Bills at eleven to one.
- 33:38Speaker 1: The Eagles, Ravens and the Patriots are next at thirteen
- 33:43Speaker 1: to one. Kendro, what are you looking at for twenty
- 33:46Speaker 1: twenty six?
- 33:47Speaker 3: I didn't take this as a plant your flag for
- 33:50Speaker 3: a Super Bowl situation. I took it as like a
- 33:52Speaker 3: plant your flag on a team that you think is
- 33:54Speaker 3: going to be a lot better next year. And it
- 33:57Speaker 3: might be a little dead to say now, but I've
- 33:59Speaker 3: been saying it for quite some time, so I'm going
- 34:01Speaker 3: to continue to lap on this. I think the New
- 34:03Speaker 3: York Giants are going to be sick. That defensive line
- 34:06Speaker 3: is baller. People like to make jokes that Jackson Dart
- 34:09Speaker 3: and Camp Scatabow are going to have the most electric
- 34:11Speaker 3: five year career ever. I totally agree. The coaching's going
- 34:14Speaker 3: to help. Their draft positioning is going to help. I
- 34:17Speaker 3: think that the New York Giants are going to be
- 34:20Speaker 3: so good next year.
- 34:22Speaker 1: They clearly got a huge coaching upgrade. That's going to
- 34:25Speaker 1: be one of the teams that we give a huge
- 34:26Speaker 1: tick up to because of who they added. You mentioned
- 34:29Speaker 1: the draft implications. They pick fifth in what.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Should be telling me a quarterback though exactly.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And it's a loaded class outside of the quarterback position,
- 34:40Speaker 1: so that should help them as far as some of
- 34:42Speaker 1: the skill positions go, or if they want to add
- 34:44Speaker 1: another piece to a defense, that should be a lot better.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I like that. Look that will be definitely be a team.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Where did they end up finishing. I guess they finished
- 34:52Speaker 1: in the last place in their division, So they're also
- 34:54Speaker 1: going to be fortunate enough to get that easy schedule.
- 34:57Speaker 1: So we saw how beneficial that can be. I like that,
- 34:59Speaker 1: look stucky. What about you? Where will you plant your flag?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Whether it's for the season, a team that you like,
- 35:04Speaker 1: or the Super Bowl.
- 35:05Speaker 4: I have no idea. I haven't even started to think
- 35:07Speaker 4: about or look it. Next year. I will plant my
- 35:09Speaker 4: flag on Kansas beating Arizona tonight, handing them their first
- 35:13Speaker 4: loss in Lawrence. That's my that's my plant to flag
- 35:18Speaker 4: for today.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Market what's the what's the line on that game?
- 35:21Speaker 4: I think plat Kansas plus two at home and Daron
- 35:26Speaker 4: Peterson as long as he plays, I don't know. Sometimes
- 35:28Speaker 4: they he doesn't play in the second half of games.
- 35:30Speaker 4: I think his his people call down and say, don't play.
- 35:34Speaker 4: But he played like the entire game against Utah on Saturday.
- 35:36Speaker 4: So but if he plays the whole game, Kansas beats
- 35:40Speaker 4: Arizona tonight, that's my plan flag.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I kind of like that idea of just planting a
- 35:44Speaker 1: flag on something entirely different. I do have the heat
- 35:47Speaker 1: minus seven tonight, So if you want to go at
- 35:49Speaker 1: the NBA route, I'm gonna go with the Falcons. I
- 35:52Speaker 1: already place the bet on it seventy five to one.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Now here's the thing.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Literally, just stay on our quarterback like I.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Love you, but this is you are literally being like
- 36:07Speaker 3: you know what, tread on me, daddy and handing the
- 36:10Speaker 3: sports book your wallet.
- 36:12Speaker 1: I mean still, I still think position to NFC South. Yes,
- 36:18Speaker 1: James Pierce did get arrested. It doesn't look good for
- 36:21Speaker 1: him and his future. Ten and a half sacks last year. Uh,
- 36:25Speaker 1: their quarterback situation is in flux. But uh there what
- 36:29Speaker 1: we go back to the coaching upgrade. I think they
- 36:31Speaker 1: get a massive coaching upgrade with Stefanski, and I love
- 36:34Speaker 1: the talent on that team and I hate that division.
- 36:37Speaker 1: So this is just about carrying a seventy five to
- 36:41Speaker 1: one ticket into the playoffs. That's the that's the flag
- 36:44Speaker 1: plant right there, stuck. He looks like he wants to
- 36:46Speaker 1: vomit on his sweater right now.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I mean, at least I don't go division. No one
- 36:50Speaker 4: will let you down more than the Atlanta Falcons.
- 36:52Speaker 2: That's what I said when you put it in and
- 36:54Speaker 2: we talked about it. The first one, I was like,
- 36:55Speaker 2: why not just the division? And even that is dumb
- 36:57Speaker 2: ast shit.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Where the bron I think the Broncos are like eighteen
- 37:01Speaker 1: to one. That might not be a bad idea for Jans.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Might fuck around and win that division next year.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Uh, tough division because everyone is just like the same,
- 37:13Speaker 4: everyone's like you same.
- 37:15Speaker 2: The most money I made with on that division were
- 37:20Speaker 2: just like.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Middle class, like just buying for a promotion.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Another one that I think is interesting, So I mentioned
- 37:26Speaker 1: the Broncos. What about the Chiefs at fifteen to one?
- 37:29Speaker 1: That you are never going to get the Kansas City
- 37:31Speaker 1: Chiefs any cheaper than that.
- 37:34Speaker 3: So that's they're like, even though they have a better
- 37:37Speaker 3: draft position this year, they still are just too old
- 37:39Speaker 3: and need to retool.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Like, I don't think it's going to be this year.
- 37:42Speaker 3: I think if they're going to be a good team
- 37:44Speaker 3: again and make like a decent run, it's going to
- 37:46Speaker 3: be next year. I get that the schedule they're gonna
- 37:48Speaker 3: pull is probably going to be favorable this year, especially
- 37:51Speaker 3: at those odds, but they just need to change too
- 37:54Speaker 3: many old people over they are.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I think they're going to get really aggressive in the
- 37:58Speaker 1: off season and they're gonna end up catch and some
- 38:00Speaker 1: hype when they do that, we're going.
- 38:02Speaker 4: To making a Falcon's super Bowl quick slip in the
- 38:07Speaker 4: YouTube description because no one would ever click that. So
- 38:11Speaker 4: I kind of agree that's fair.
- 38:12Speaker 1: You know what, maybe they're getting longer odds now.
- 38:14Speaker 3: That I was crazy for the Panthers though, So you
- 38:17Speaker 3: know what, more power to your sister.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Who do you think is if you had to for
- 38:26Speaker 4: your you get a free million dollars risk free if
- 38:32Speaker 4: you name both super Bowl participants next year and you
- 38:37Speaker 4: got to choose right now, nothing else obs Atlanta.
- 38:43Speaker 1: And.
- 38:46Speaker 4: So you're going to Atlanta, Chiefs, you go with?
- 38:49Speaker 1: We did. I didn't know. I didn't know we were
- 38:51Speaker 1: getting I'm trying to make a million, I'm not trying.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I didn't know we were getting a million dollars for
- 38:55Speaker 1: free here.
- 38:56Speaker 4: Change if you if you get right, who would you
- 39:00Speaker 4: go with?
- 39:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna say the Ravens.
- 39:06Speaker 4: And trying to get on my good side?
- 39:10Speaker 2: Was I on your bad side? No, I'm gonna say
- 39:13Speaker 2: the Ravens and forty nine ers.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Hmm, I'm gonna say the I want to say the Jags,
- 39:26Speaker 4: but I'm gonna say Jags.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Twitter's already going crazy with the logo of next year
- 39:31Speaker 3: being handsaid Jags Cowboys, so that's what has.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Been running all over Jags Twitter this morning.
- 39:38Speaker 4: This is tough because what's I don't I don't know
- 39:40Speaker 4: what's gonna happen with the Rams. I want to say
- 39:42Speaker 4: the Rams, but.
- 39:44Speaker 1: They are the They have the shortest odds along with Seattle,
- 39:48Speaker 1: so if you're just playing the odds game, the Rams
- 39:50Speaker 1: would be the right choice.
- 39:52Speaker 3: I also wanted to say the Rams, but I feel
- 39:54Speaker 3: like Stafford, this was his last year.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Of like being old and good. Next year he might
- 39:58Speaker 2: just be like old and mid.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna answer the question. I'm curious to
- 40:04Speaker 1: see where Stucky goes to. I just want to get
- 40:07Speaker 1: this thought bubble popped here. I think Washington is going
- 40:10Speaker 1: to be sneaky next year. They were so over hyped
- 40:13Speaker 1: going into this season. Jaydon Daniels is still a really
- 40:15Speaker 1: good quarterback. I think that that could be a team
- 40:19Speaker 1: that's that returns to being on the rise. The Chargers are.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Interesting because of this move dummy, who's a dummy, dan Quinn.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Their defense is so old and slow. They need to
- 40:31Speaker 4: they need to do a lot on the defensive side
- 40:32Speaker 4: of the ball. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Chargers Rams.
- 40:39Speaker 1: In l A and the Super Bowls and so.
- 40:49Speaker 4: That's that's that's what I'm going with.
- 40:50Speaker 3: All thirty seven of their fans would show.
- 40:53Speaker 4: And I'm going I'm going Jags Rams.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Oh that was a quick switch up. Okay, you're going
- 40:58Speaker 1: Jags Rams.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Can picking each other's teams, Yes, this is so cute, guys.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna pick the Dolphins.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Sorry, I would judge you if you did the Super Bowl.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I'll go with the Chiefs. They're gonna be doubted all year.
- 41:14Speaker 1: This is when you want to buy with my three
- 41:16Speaker 1: million dollars and not the I'll take Seattle to get
- 41:24Speaker 1: back there as hard as bucket Chief Seahawks for me.
- 41:29Speaker 1: How about that? All right? Guys? That was a lot
- 41:32Speaker 1: of fun. That's gonna do it For today's episode special
