- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: So OTAs are here and it's hard to judge anything that they do, right?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: All you can do from this OTA to last is I guess you could compare, right?
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: You could compare one to the other.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, today we have a ton of questions because there was a bunch of questions that I did not get to last week that I will get to this week.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a ton of questions to go through.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: We highly recommend that you check out our feed, and you see the show that I did with Blake Sebo, our media analyst of an only fence.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's there on only fence.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's a member on only fence.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: So you could interact with him as well.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a bunch of questions that you guys asked last week that I did not get to, so I will get to them this week.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So should be an extensive Q&A period on this show, but I'll talk a little bit about, you know.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: What is transpiring this week?
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: I guess they're going to lay the the foundation for how they're going to run the team how they're going to manage the team going forward and that's a you know that's an interesting thing to to learn right and you're going to watch them operate now these practices are going to look very very different to what
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: we're going to see in training camp.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Training camp practices should be different because since it's a new coaching staff, whole new defense, the offense is not going to be completely new, but it's new to a lot of players.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Think about how many new players they have.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Devon H. was here last year.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Malik Washington was here last year.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Greg Dulsech was here last year.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the offensive line was here last year, but Malik will as wasn't.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Neither was Chris Bell, Kevin Coleman,
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: you know, they have a lot of draft picks that they've picked up, uh, you know, woke as America is going to have to be an intricate part of install, especially if this running game is going to resemble anything like it did last year.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be extremely important for install.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: So these LTA should be different than what we're going to see in training camp.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: There should be more classroom involved.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to do that much field work.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they'll do some conditioning.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: some conditioning will make some sense, but other than that, I'm not sure it will, you know, so let me, okay, somebody saying that,
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: But the last few Q&A's, uh, my voice was much quieter than the guest, so it was hard to get the volume right just for the information.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: It was an issue last week.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: The thing is that since I'm recording off the discord, it's hard to change the tempo and the pitch and the volume on each of our voices because it records on one track.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: when we do a podcast, yeah, when we do a podcast on StreamYard, we do a podcast anywhere else, yeah, I could change the volume I need to the track so I could fix that, right?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: But last week, Blake Seabose Mike was a little higher, but that's who you wanted to listen to.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was just asking him questions.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Let you listen to my questions last week.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I understand that my voice was a little lower last week.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was very hard to actually up the voice on this show.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: I will be able to up the voice and you'll be able to hear me perfectly.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I understand that last week there was an issue.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I see that the show was very well received.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of you downloaded it and I'm thankful for that.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, check out that show.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, back to what was happening this week, or it's happening today.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going to see a lot of, well, you're not going to see it, but it's what they're going to do.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to have to be a lot of classroom work, and if you notice, they started off on the bubble, and that's something that happened last year as well in training camp.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: They would do the first 15 minutes of practice in the bubble, which was essentially just doing install to get ready to implement it on the field.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: So when it's called, it's remembered and recalled and actually performed, right?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm pretty sure they're going to do some of that because they had to do plenty of install to be ready for training camp like this is going to be a much more involved OTA than usual.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: The offseason program is going to be extremely important for this team.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now we're not talking about wins and losses.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be important to actually look even competent, right?
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because you got to
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're implementing two new systems, and I do believe that Bobby Slok is going to change up Disoffence a ton if you saw his offense in in Houston, that's that's pretty much what he wanted to run and if you saw it it was You know
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: heavy in West Coast concepts, heavy in, you know, what the shenanetry has traditionally done, but very different as far as what Mike McDaniel was doing here.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Mike McDaniel ran a much more complicated offense, especially in the run game.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Bobby Sloaks a little bit different.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: His run game is going to be much more simple, while his past game concepts are a little bit more complicated
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: and I understand that the Bob is still a cast of reputation as far as you know his passing games the last few years that he's been in or around a team or involved with a team haven't been all that great.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, there's a reason for that.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: And if you can go all the way back to CJ Strahd's rookie, you know, but it was complaining.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Where are they?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: When CJ Strahd was having the most efficient season for a rookie quarterback in NFL history, right?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I would expect, again, back to the topic at hand, these OTAs to be much more involved in the classroom in the bubble.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: install.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: So that way you don't spend too much time on install and teaching and going over things that you shouldn't be able to go, they shouldn't have to go over in training camp.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: In training camp you want to hit the ground running.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: from day one, you know, you want to have your segmented practices, you want to have your install period, and then you're, I don't know if they're going to do seven on seven this year, I don't know if this, if half leads the guy that wants to do seven on seven, they haven't traditionally done seven on seven, usually the only do seven on seven whenever they do the joint practices, whether the teams, they don't implement them on their own.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Mike McDaniel ran a lot of 1111 full speed for most of practice, which is something I
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I did not like about Mike McDaniels that he changed up his practice tempo from year to year.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: His first year, 2022, those practices were hectic and were 100 miles an hour and mostly all football.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it was like 90% football and the following year in 2023, he started introducing some drills.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: He started introducing some skeleton drills, some one-on-one ones.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: which was odd, you know, you run one on one, but you won't do seven on seven.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then the final year, or not the final year, 2024, he started introducing a little bit of seven on sevens, and then that became what his practices started looking like, much more involved, much more diversified for 2025.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Halfly, I don't know what kind of practices he's going to run.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I guess I'll learn, come, train camp.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: but this is essentially just a dress rehearsal so that way you could just hit training camp and you don't have to spend too much time teaching too much time installing stuff you could just go right from install period right to drills right to 7 on 7 if that's what you can do right to 11 on 11's and you could have like a rhythm because remember has the CBA tells you
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: You have limited practices and pads.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: You have limited time with your players.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, might as well make the best use of it.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Any other news?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I'll get to it in the chat.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, levian moss did retire, which is all kinds of odd, right?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was weird.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why he would retire.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: He signed a pretty pretty damn good deal.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like what was it?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was $285,000 he was going to get.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Some people asked, oh, does he get some of that money?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, this is America.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you get, usually get paid to play.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, no, he has to give all of that back.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: He gets nothing.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: If he participated in any day, he does get a pro-rated stipend for that day, I guess.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think he ever suited up.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he ever did anything.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: He showed up at the facility.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know that.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: But he didn't do anything else.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, we're going to go to break and when we come back from break, I will take all of your questions.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: You have plenty of questions.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I have plenty to get to on the other side of this break.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: But first, these words.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, we are back.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, first of all in the chat, if you can hear me good, just say so, I'm pretty sure I'm all right on sound this week, and if not, I can edit it in post and it will come out, it'll come out better.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me get to the questions from last week, the ones I didn't get to.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, uh, first question, and I'm gonna try to go to rapid fire here so I could get to the questions that you guys have today.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Does the retirement of Levy on Moss mean that Jaila Wright makes the team or do you still think he'll be traded?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that Levy on Moss being on the team made Jaila Wright a little bit expendable.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of look at the mass kind of the same player.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, although, yeah, I know some will say, oh, let me almost has an extensive injury history.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: It gets injured a lot.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what about jail, right?
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: All right, uh, jail right has had some injuries.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, he's had, he's missed time.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: He missed time.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: He missed time in a couple of train games.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think he makes a team now, like, you know, they're extremely thin there again.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: I thought they would make an investment at running back, and then when they got leaving a muscle, I was pretty jazzed about it.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, man, you got a guy that a lot of people had as a day three pick.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: You got him as a UDFA.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's a capable player.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's a player.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I actually like a lot, but he retired.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: You're thin once again, and yeah, Jailorite seems almost necessary now.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, things have changed.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: All right, next question I had heard that jailerite had trouble picking up McDaniel Schemies.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: He did and that the outside zone wasn't a great fit for him.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't say that.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think that outside zone was actually a pretty decent fit for him.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Then he says, now that we are going to be more likely a gap zone.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, it's I think they're going to mix in some gap scheme stuff, but they're still going to be an outside zone running team.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: will be more uh... better suited yes i would say so uh... his issues in the McDonald's game was in the passing game general right just had no clue in the passing game he just he he wasn't very well-timed on his routes he was not a guy that you know and he was not a guy that you could just you know plug in play with davon a chan and he could do the things davon a chan could do he just got
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: They tried, they tried a couple of times to do things that Devon H and would do, but he just couldn't do it.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the same player, that the same skill set.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Jailal Wright is just not very good in the passing game.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Will he be better in this scheme?
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they have him do less, and that's better.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: All right, next question, do you think we are going to have a high snap full back in this offense?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: If yes, then why would we sing gold?
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't, I never understood why releasing Engel, but then you realize, look, man, they're scrounging for every penny that they can get under the cap.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: At the time, they needed every single penny to be able to have any kind of free agency.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: So, I understood it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: He was on the list.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: He was on the list that we gave you on this show of players that would likely be on the chopping block.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: And sure enough, they found, they were like, you know, working, we find, you know, pennies under the, you know, under the sea cushion to, you know, to put into the piggy bank.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the easiest places.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do all of those first.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then we'll do some of the hard places next.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, that's where they went.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Are they going to have a high snap fullback in this offense?
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have a high snap guy playing fullback, I believe.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think Woke has America will play some in that role.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: They just added CJ Herman.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: What do we know about him?
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: Not much.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I do know this our own time a kind of road story and you could check out his story He puts a link to it on his own Twitter page and on our discord You could check it out on the three web you see channel and He discusses Devon HN success with a fullback in front of him and let's just say it's vast So it stands to reason yeah, they should have a fullback in this offense and he's good one so
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was cutting Alec and gold a good thing.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Was that necessary thing?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fortunately.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: When you have the issues you have with the cap, then yeah.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: If our rookie lineback just get real playing time, does that still leave a role for what it gets?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it looks like we're headed back to that.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: We're really getting just going to be left sitting there.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Not having much to do.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's a stance right now, like Willie Gay is a, I don't know, is he going to get snaps?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of doubt it, right?
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be a special teamer for the for the most part as a right now.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know how things are going to shake out.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know if they're going to play Carlos at at safety.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know a lot of things.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: We will know a lot of these things come training camp.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: Is DJ Herman a real threat to make the team yes as a full back because they don't have one or is he just a campbody?
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think he's a real threat because they don't have a full back right now Is there any real expectation that stormed up becomes a quality starter or is he just there because we're so thin at the position?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: We are so thin at the position that Any help that they can get is welcomed Next question.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: How much of the pistol are we going to be running this season?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's a good question
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: because Bobby Slug last seen as office coordinator was in Houston, right?
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: And his use of the pistol wasn't as much as wasn't as high as what Mike McDaniels was this past season.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: So these these are questions we're going to learn we're going to they're going to be answered country and can.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, and how much of a benefit is that for all offensive linemen?
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you get a chin, a good running start.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: It gives them time and space to read blocks.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it helps the offensive linemen considerably.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's because merit going to be that six offensive linemen, meaning is you're going to be like an inline tied in.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, absolutely is the answer.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like that one I can't answer.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: The Dolphins have a first-run grade on Jacob Rodriguez, um, I've asked.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: I have not been told that.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just told what you're what you're always here, which is like, oh yeah, we're thrilled to have this guy.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I do know that they had them ranked higher than Anthony Hill, and there's an obvious reason for that.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: All right, because they took him instead of Anthony Hill, so we know that.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: So did they have a first-run grade on him?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, it's a good question, right?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: If they did, wouldn't they have taken him in Chris Johnson's role?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: But they had Chris Johnson completely earmarked.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of people had Chris Johnson as a high second-round grade.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you could have made the argument that if they had Jacob Rodriguez as a first round, if they had a first round great on Jacob Rodriguez, you could make the argument that would have taken Jacob Rodriguez in the first round, and they would have circle back to take Chris Johnson in the second round, although I don't think Chris Johnson had any chance whatsoever at making 43.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I think he would have gone to the bills very soon thereafter.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Had they taken Jacob Rodriguez in the first round.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think they did a very, very,
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Um, if that's really one, if that's who the who was on their board, they took them in the right slots and they did exactly what they needed to do.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: The move up for Chris Johnson was a good move.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I normally do not like trading day two assets just to move a few spots.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: But in this case, I think it was the right thing to do.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: Who are the instant rookie starters from the draft?
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think Chris Johnson is a starter.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Kate and Proctor, you already know is a starter.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Rodriguez, I think will eventually become a starter.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the three.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the big three.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: The rest are specialists for the most part, but consequential guys, you know, I think Kyle Lewis is going to have a pretty big role on this team and Wilka's America is going to play a ton of snaps.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, this is a consequential draft.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: If these guys are good,
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna help the team.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna make the team better.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't say good because good's a load of word for this season.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: We won prediction on starting boundary corners and nickel, wow.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna be hard to predict, right?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say storm duck is in the slot.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Johnson is outside.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: And what he said is jujube rents on the other side.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, what's the bar you want the team to clear this season?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: The bar I want this team to clear this season.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Look, there are over under that four and a half, right?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: So if they win five in my happy, well, I'm satisfied.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to see them push for wins.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: If they could get six, if they could get six wins, be in another three games.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: That goes a long way, man.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: Because then you could start to see how, you know what, this team is actually a little bit ahead of schedule, and in 2027, this team can absolutely make the playoffs.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, six, man, if they could get to six wins and be competitive in another two to three games.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would be pretty jazzed about that.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: It would also mean that Malik Wilson's good.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: So that's a good thing.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, the demand is not really there, but we only get so many football games a year.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we have to watch it.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know when likes Thursday and I football.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're holds hostage by the scarcity of the product.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: I guess this wasn't a question.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a statement.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me get to more questions.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um... All right, some people have some statements.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: All right, could you go over the 2026 schedule of games we went and lose?
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: Then see if certain circumstances could flip any losses to wins.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: How do you like the games offseason so far?
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'll take a couple here.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think the the king's first because I had to get to the schedule you want me to do the Oh, this is the win.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is a loss.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: The old Mike Francesa.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the king's offseason.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: What are what are the offseason they've had?
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: I go ahead and say it.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's May 19th, 2026.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: My expectations, deep playoff run, realistically, kind of expect them to win the national championship.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: get you heard that correctly.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think they'll be a top four seed.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: If they're a top four seed, you kind of want to win the national championship.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting a by week.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: So if you get a by week, yeah, I'll tell you what.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what my expectations are.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: If they beat Notre Dame November 7th, my expectations are for them to win the national championship.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: Period.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: Pair it and it could be an undefeated season if they beat Nordadame on November 7th So needless to say the team is absolutely loaded this year Next oh, and he wanted me to go over the schedule of games.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, they're they're favored in one game Which game is that week 12 against the jet
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: So as far as winning and losing, man, I'm not going to go week for week, but I'm going to tell you the winnable games, week one against the Raiders is absolutely winnable.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: Then you got pretty much a death march for the next two weeks at San Francisco, Kansas City at home.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's virtually no chance, really.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be double digit underdogs in both of those games.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: At Minnesota Week 4 is a really, really rough spot as well.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: I explained it on the podcast.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: You go out west for Raiders, 49ers, come back east.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then you have to go back out west to Minnesota.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's that that's usually a terrible spot.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: Week 5 is also a bad spot.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: The jets week 7 at New York.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Can they win that one?
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: How good is New York going to be?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: How good is the quarterback play going to be?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: How good is the genus Smith going to be?
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: Do they have enough talent on offense?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, man, as far as winnable games, this is a rough schedule.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: A rough schedule.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: And they really aren't a deserved favorite over pretty much anybody on this schedule except week 12.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know,
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: the gauntlet that they end the season they end the season with six consecutive games where you can make an easy case a simple easy case that they should go an automatic over six okay at Denver Chicago at home at Green Bay the charges at home buffalo at home at New England yet there's not a win to be had there
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: So it looks terrible, it looks terrible on paper and as far as games that they can turn that they can flip a couple of the home games I guess if if Wallace is really really really really good that's why I say look if they went six games They're doing something if they went six games they're competitive and another two or three I'm gonna be extremely jazzed about 2027 because I'm gonna have a lot more draft picks to use
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: and a great in a great draft class, by the way, so they're going to have a lot of draft picks to use in a great draft class and free agent dollars.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be able to participate in free agency in earnest this time.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: So they went six games.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Man, get excited.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: Get excited.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: This team could be a lot of fun in 2027, but expectations are low.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question, what little you hope to see and hear from OTA is well, no interest.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: Simple as that.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: Does that much else to learn or gleamed from OTAs?
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: Who is here now you expect gone by the season well?
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to get into that, it's the roster has a billion people on it.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you're hearing anything with Well, Janice to the heat.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: The same bullshit we hear every single year.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna try again.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, does Jonah start the season or is he a backup?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think he starts.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: He starts the, there's virtually no chance whatsoever he is not going to start.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: If he doesn't start the season, Massick a fork in him.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, stick a fork in him.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: If he doesn't start the season, that's as bad as sign as you're ever going to find for his development and his prospects going forward.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he starts.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: He starts up right guard.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think HM finishes the top five running back in fantasy after losing water, but line looking better on paper?
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, a good fantasy question.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'll answer it this way.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's a first round pick, but I have him as a must draft in the second round if you get him on the go back, like if you're picking 11th or 12th in a 12th man league and then you're immediately picking the second round.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: If he somehow makes it out of the first round, which I think is unlikely, then I think that there's no chance he makes it past 12, right?
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think he's a first-round pick.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: So let's say Is average draft position ADP is going to be I think 7 something like that?
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think his ADP is going to be about 7.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the worst He's going to be is the 14th overall pick So yeah, he's an absolute Must draft inside the top 14 and more likely than not you could pass on him in the top 7
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: And like if you're toward the end of the first round, I don't know how the hell you're passing on him and I think he's a must draft.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's like an auto draft at 13 and 14.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let me see next question.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Kasimarak had a career high receiving yards back in his red shirt freshman season at Ohio We've also playing with guys like Jeremiah Smith, Colonel Tate, and even Max Clare at Ohio State Is a reasonable to think that he will be a more productive receiver in the NFL than he was in college Yes, the thing is that they're not going to use them too much as a wide receiver in this in this This offense Don't you try to junior play the highest volume of special team snaps for DBs last year for Miami
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, he's going to repeat that role, I believe.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he has a serious chance to start.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Michael Taff and 2026 more defensive snaps or special things.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think more defensive snaps.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a legitimate chance to actually start this year.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think we can call it here.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: And we will.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: We will be with you again next week.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be with you the entire off season.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so, oh, somebody writes, I don't think we're gonna get Jeremiah Smith because our the dolphins gonna be worse than the Raiders, our schedule is much worse than the Raiders.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Even if we do beat the Raiders week one, all right?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'll say that.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I think we're gonna call it right here.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: We will be with you again next week.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: Again, we wanna participate in these shows.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta become a member of our discord
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: uh... we will be with you again next week of course i have the offseason tomorrow with maric graves so listen to that and there's a lot of stuff going on in on the channel uh... and on our feet scouting the fence with some patel and coach co-geric smith so listen to that as well all right that's it there is no more we will talk to you again next week thanks for listening to only fence here in a lot
- 29:54[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.
