- 0:00laced up let's go it's time for banter with the
- 0:04boys that's good or bad hey welcome back to banter
- 0:15with the boys uh f1 what are we doing fast laps
- 0:18that's what it's called where we got the miami
- 0:20recap and the emila emilia romagna that's what
- 0:24i meant uh emilia romagna Parmesan cheese. Let's
- 0:30see. What happened? That's rough. Anyway, yes,
- 0:39we're here. I'm Smelty. That's good. Joe. I'm
- 0:43Joe. Hey, Joe. And then Mike. Hello. Hi, Mike.
- 0:47I'm here again. Mike got off work early even,
- 0:50or like well before. Yes, sir. We thought this
- 0:54was going to be a late one. And we ended up actually
- 0:56being earlier than our normal time, so that's
- 0:57awesome. Anyway, not that you guys care. I'm
- 0:59rambling. Yeah, let's just head right into the
- 1:04Miami GP recap. ah yes uh right into the gp recap
- 1:23um yes we got the fp1 uh were those were those
- 1:29year notes joe yes yes fp1 lay fp1 on us and
- 1:34sprint quality while you're at it yeah sure all
- 1:36those right into each that sounds great yeah
- 1:38so uh I guess, like, the biggest, like, not really
- 1:41headline, but, like, the clip that came out of
- 1:43FP1 were the tools left in Lando's car after
- 1:46he left the garage. I think they left, like,
- 1:48two large lights. He had reported that they were,
- 1:50like, knocking around his cockpit. So he got
- 1:53back in. They pulled everything out. He was good.
- 1:56So it was just, like, a little clip. That would
- 1:57be rather annoying. Oh, I'm sure. Yeah. Imagine,
- 1:59like, going full throttle, and you just have,
- 2:02I mean, I would say broken bones, probably. I
- 2:05mean, you're going mock Jesus in these things,
- 2:07and you just got lights bashing around. There's
- 2:09only like a top speed of like 210 miles an hour.
- 2:11Only? I mean, that's not even, I do that every
- 2:14day. I do that every day on my way to work. He's
- 2:17over here, police. This is more of a weekend
- 2:23note. Actually, maybe we'll touch on it when
- 2:25we get to them. So I'll leave that. At the end
- 2:29of free practice one, the only free practice
- 2:31because we had a sprint, Ali Behrman did crash
- 2:33with about four minutes, 30 seconds left in the
- 2:36session. I think he just lost it. I don't think
- 2:39there's really anything else to it. Yeah, I think
- 2:41so. It is what it is. It is what it is. Going
- 2:44into sprint quali, biggest notes, Yuki out in
- 2:47SQ1. I just don't think he was able to set a
- 2:50very good time. I mean, we'll touch on it, too,
- 2:54when we get to the... gp and red bull as a whole
- 2:56the car is just not great not great not great
- 2:59um and then the last little note i had uh i believe
- 3:03jack duane was released a little late and behind
- 3:06his teammate um so there was some conversation
- 3:09that he had to his engineer on the radio the
- 3:12first and Last time, I think we're going to hear
- 3:15Jack swear and a little angry on the radio with
- 3:18his engineers because of how they released him.
- 3:20I think it was to the point where he got to the
- 3:22line and the flag had already been waved or something
- 3:24like that. Probably just blew his whole GP. That's
- 3:27why. Yeah. That's why it was bad. Definitely.
- 3:29The only reason. It was definitely that reason.
- 3:31It just overflowed into the GP. Absolutely. But
- 3:35I mean, like, really, the most exciting part
- 3:38of sprint qualifying, Antonelli Pole, the youngest.
- 3:43to be on any kind of pole position in the sport.
- 3:47Isn't that crazy? A, it's insane. B, Antonelli
- 3:51is quickly becoming my new favorite driver. The
- 3:54dude is just effing electric. There's something
- 3:57about Miami, man. Every race, okay, like the
- 4:00last three races, he has slowly been, not slowly,
- 4:05but he has been. starting to take more and more
- 4:08chances. Like, some of them not as smart, right?
- 4:11And that's just age and experience in F1, you
- 4:15would imagine. But, I mean, I don't know. It's
- 4:19becoming, I better get up so I can watch what
- 4:22Kimi Antonelli's going to do this week. Yeah.
- 4:24You know what I mean? Definitely. There have
- 4:25been people I've been talking about, though,
- 4:28who have been seeing, like, us, we're all very
- 4:31excited that Kimi did that. I'm very proud of
- 4:33Kimi. But, like, there are a lot of people who
- 4:35are like, It was a sprint quali. Does it even
- 4:37really count? He had a good GP, too. He had a
- 4:40good sprint. He had a good race quali, too. I'm
- 4:43like, guys, it was still a qualifying session.
- 4:46What did you think? They were holding back for
- 4:47a qualifying session? He still beat the McLarens,
- 4:51which nobody can apparently do right now. Yeah,
- 4:53right. It was still an absolute fire lap. And
- 4:57he took the record for the fastest lap on the
- 5:00track so far. So that is the fastest that we've
- 5:03seen come out of that track. a guy who's the
- 5:06youngest pole setter ever. So like, I think people
- 5:10got to give him a little more credit. Oh yeah,
- 5:11definitely. I think his, his quality time, his
- 5:14one lap pace is absolutely there. Definitely
- 5:16needs a little work on his race pace. He lost
- 5:18a lot of, a lot of positions both in the race
- 5:20and the sprint and, and sprint. But his, his,
- 5:23yeah, I mean, Miami was just a very good track
- 5:26for him. Was this the first time he's driven
- 5:28at Miami too? Literally first time ever. That's
- 5:30insane. I think it was, uh, I think it was...
- 5:33I was like, F2 didn't go there last year. I think
- 5:39most of the rookies, I think this was their first
- 5:42time here. There were a few other rookies who
- 5:45have been here before, like, raced, like, FP1
- 5:48sessions or stuff like that. But this was, like,
- 5:50literally Kimmy's first time ever being in Miami.
- 5:52So, like, and I think it was... Was it Jensen
- 5:55Button or whatever was saying that, like, he
- 5:57was talking to Kimmy before the race, and he's
- 5:58like... Do you have any tips? Like, what am I
- 6:00supposed to do here? I've never been here before.
- 6:03And, I mean, to be fair, not to get into the
- 6:07GP too much, but to be fair, I mean, still finishing
- 6:11P6 is, you know, for the first time ever. Yeah,
- 6:14you started P3. Totally. That's a negative three,
- 6:17obviously. For a rookie, I would not expect less.
- 6:22And, you know, yeah, letting Albon, you know.
- 6:25beat you to the line but at the same time williams
- 6:27had a great day we'll touch on them might yet
- 6:29it'd be a mercedes issue not an antonelli issue
- 6:31yeah yeah for sure but anyway where were we um
- 6:35yeah the sprint i think i have a lot of notes
- 6:38on the sprint um I actually wrote them all inside
- 6:42our dock, and then I deleted them because it
- 6:44was taking up so much of it. That's a good point.
- 6:47I'll just run through them really quick. Go for
- 6:48it. Very rainy on Saturday. Very rainy. The formation
- 6:52lap started under the safety car and then ended
- 6:55up in a red flag. About half an hour later, the
- 7:00race started, I think. It started on lap three.
- 7:03It was a standing start. Piastri, Norris, and
- 7:07Verstappen all took Antonelli in the first corner.
- 7:10Verstappen was noted for being out of position
- 7:12at the start. We saw Sainz and Ocon having some
- 7:15decent fights. Yuki was the first to pit for
- 7:17slicks on the 11th lap. We saw, I think, another
- 7:21big highlight from sprint, Verstappen and Antonelli
- 7:24colliding in the pit lane from an unsafe release
- 7:26from Verstappen. He did end up getting a 10 -second
- 7:29penalty, which just brought him right down the
- 7:31order. Sainz gets a puncture, has to retire.
- 7:38Norris gets saved by the safety car that comes
- 7:42out at the end of the race because Fernando did
- 7:43crash after getting what I believe looked like
- 7:46pit by Liam Lawson, just straight up. So Norris
- 7:50was able to get the last pit under safety car
- 7:53and just pull ahead of Piastri and win. So the
- 7:56race finished under the safety car. Nothing no
- 7:58one could do about that. Verstappen had to eat
- 8:01the 10 -second penalty under the safety car,
- 8:03so he just dropped down the order. Sprint final
- 8:07was Norris Piastri Hamilton, Albon Russell Stroll,
- 8:10Lawson, and Behrman. Lawson, after everything
- 8:15he had done, still got into points. Isn't that
- 8:18crazy? I can't believe that. That's wild. What
- 8:22a rubbish. I do have like... Actually, no. I'm
- 8:27so sorry. That's not true. There were penalties
- 8:30after the race. Lawson did not. Yeah, you have
- 8:32your finishing eight as Norris, Piastri, Hamilton.
- 8:35Hamilton, Russell, Stroll, Sunoda, Antonelli,
- 8:37Gasly. Yeah, keep Gasly. After penalties and
- 8:41after all that fun stuff, yeah, sorry. After
- 8:45all the penalties, Liam Liamed. Love that. I'm
- 8:50curious. There's been two major discussions that
- 8:54I saw come out of this race or the sprint. First,
- 8:58is how do you guys feel about potentially going
- 9:01forward? Like this was, I think a lot of people
- 9:03agreed, the most eventful sprint that we have
- 9:05seen to date. Like this was a super fun sprint.
- 9:08And I think one of the things that made it so
- 9:11much fun was pits. And so there are a lot of
- 9:13people talking like, maybe we should just start
- 9:15doing a forced pit in the sprints and just force
- 9:19like, kind of like how you have to take at least
- 9:21one pit in a full length race. You have to take
- 9:24one pit in the sprint, which now. Forces some
- 9:28strategy onto teams, would allocate an extra
- 9:30tire for the weekend to make up for it. Yeah.
- 9:32But, like, and that's fine. Like, we could do
- 9:35that. There's nothing wrong with that. And it
- 9:36would force more strategy into what we're doing,
- 9:39how late do we pit, because we can already cover
- 9:42the whole sprint distance on one set of tires.
- 9:45Like, it opens up a ton of new strategy on what
- 9:47we can do. And a lot of people are talking about
- 9:50it could be fun. And I'm kind of curious what
- 9:52you guys take. I don't hate that. I don't hate
- 9:55that. I do agree that the sprint was extremely
- 9:57exciting. I don't hate it. Force pit. Yeah. I
- 10:04mean. You're right in that the reason. You're
- 10:05the devil's advocate today, Joe. Only a tiny
- 10:08bit. You better be careful. Yeah, only a tiny
- 10:10bit. I'm not going to rant about it. You're definitely
- 10:12right. It was like the pit is probably what really
- 10:14made it exciting, and that's because of the inclement
- 10:16weather. So, like, obviously that also had a
- 10:19play in it, but mostly because they had to pit.
- 10:21So, yeah, I mean, it'd be interesting to see
- 10:23how they do it. I mean, it's such a short race.
- 10:26The sprint felt real NASCAR -ish to me. Sure.
- 10:29In the sense of carnage. Yeah. You know what
- 10:30I mean? Like, they were racing each other real
- 10:33aggressive. almost arguably for me, almost more
- 10:37aggressively in the sprint than the GP. And I
- 10:39don't know why that was. I have a new pitch.
- 10:42But pitch it. We make the track wet before the
- 10:46sprint every time. I mean, it's just pure chaos.
- 10:51Yeah. So that sounds funny. All right. Really.
- 10:55And also, I forgot to mention Leclerc crashes
- 10:57on the way to the grid, so he did not participate
- 10:59in the sprint. Yeah. The other thing that I saw
- 11:04people talking about with this was Max got really
- 11:08the short end of the stick for, you know, the
- 11:12unsafe release 10 second penalty and then being
- 11:15forced to end under a safety car. Because of
- 11:17that, it bunched all the cars up. And so it pushed
- 11:19him from what was it like, like fifth, like fourth
- 11:22or fifth and knocked him all the way down to
- 11:25basically dead last. Right. And that really sucks.
- 11:31I feel like in a situation like that, in rare
- 11:33situations where you're finishing under a safety
- 11:37car, they should do something slightly different
- 11:40where a 10 -second penalty would have otherwise
- 11:43have been roughly about a two -place grid penalty.
- 11:46I think they should have just given him a two
- 11:47-place grid penalty. I think it would have been
- 11:49more than two places. It's still a sprint. I
- 11:52don't know if they were that far apart from each
- 11:55other. Maybe they were. I don't remember what
- 11:58the gaps were. I see what you mean. If they start
- 12:01imposing place penalties for races, it just gets
- 12:05a little messy because like, what if, what if
- 12:08he was. 20 seconds ahead of third or fifth, right?
- 12:12And he gets a two -place grid penalty. It's like,
- 12:15I would have cleared that with even the worst
- 12:17penalty they could have given me. It just introduces
- 12:21more variables or rather more flexibility, which
- 12:25they shouldn't have. It should be set in stone.
- 12:28It does suck. You're right. I mean, it wasn't
- 12:30his fault either. It was his team's fault. But
- 12:33the team's got to take that penalty and he's
- 12:35just got to deal with it, unfortunately. To me,
- 12:37it's like... It's a specific thing of like when,
- 12:40if like a situation like this where somebody
- 12:42has a penalty to serve, like when the race ends
- 12:45under a safety car specifically, because the
- 12:47safety car then bunches everybody together. So
- 12:49that 20 second gap goes away. So like. At that
- 12:53point, then under that circumstance, it feels
- 12:55like we should change things because we're under
- 12:58a weird circumstance already by finishing under
- 13:00a safety car, which is something that the FIA
- 13:02actively tries not to do. But if it is something
- 13:05that happens, then maybe we should alter what
- 13:07our penalties are because we're not in a racing
- 13:09situation. We're in a safety car situation. Yeah,
- 13:12I definitely see your point, and it kind of makes
- 13:14me think, and I want to hear your thoughts on
- 13:16this too, Smiltzy, because I'm interested in
- 13:17if you have any ideas. Maybe they introduced,
- 13:22like, before the safety car came out, this was
- 13:24the time gap, like, right before. So because
- 13:27of that, the 10 -second penalty will be reduced
- 13:30in that setup. Oh, sure, yeah, that makes sense.
- 13:34Because we finished under safety car. But then
- 13:36you still have people that are like, that's unfair.
- 13:38You're saying if somebody finished 20 seconds
- 13:40ahead, still using that example? Yeah, yeah.
- 13:43Like, yeah, if he was 20 seconds ahead. before
- 13:46the safety car came out, but he had a 10 -second
- 13:48penalty. But they finish under safety car. Instead
- 13:50of putting him back all the way to the back of
- 13:52the grid, they're just like, hey, you had 20
- 13:54seconds right before the safety car, so we're
- 13:57going to impose your 10 seconds on that, technically.
- 14:00I think that's the most fair way to do it. If
- 14:02we're being real. It's messy, but I guess it's
- 14:06the most fair. But at the same time, races are
- 14:09races and anything can happen. Which is also
- 14:11a fact. Liam Pitt Alonzo, do you think that's
- 14:15fair? Alonzo? No, of course not. Before the safety
- 14:19car, he didn't pit Alonzo, so Alonzo should actually
- 14:21finish sixth, right? Yeah, sounds great. It introduces
- 14:24Alonzo. It gets messy. Do you have any thoughts
- 14:29about that, Smelty? If you could change the rule?
- 14:32No. Not on this one. I like your thoughts. I'm
- 14:37going to pitch you for director of FIA. I think
- 14:40you'd be a good fit. Everybody just, whatever
- 14:43you want. It's fine. Sounds good. Meanwhile,
- 14:48Mohammed bin Salam is like, what's a smelty?
- 14:52I just got word. He just introduced a rule that
- 14:55actually doesn't allow you to be. I'm so sorry.
- 14:57That's tough. It's crazy how that happens. Yeah,
- 14:59wait. Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah. We'll get
- 15:02there. We'll get there. Oh, we're going to get
- 15:03there. Yeah, because I can't wait to hear why.
- 15:07Anyway, we'll talk about it. After I saw it,
- 15:10I chose not to dig into it, so you can tell me
- 15:12so I can react to that live. Anyway, what are
- 15:16we at? We're at qualifying for the GP, so we
- 15:17better hurry that along. You got any good notes
- 15:20on that, Joe? No. Perfect. Wait a minute. Hamilton
- 15:27out in Q2, both Williams and Ocon in Q3, just
- 15:30because, you know, I mean, come on. That's it,
- 15:34though. Nothing else. Oh, and then just before
- 15:36race, Gasly starts in the pit lane. Do you remember
- 15:38why? You know what? That'd be a good question
- 15:41for an Alpine fan. Was it just... Did he he made
- 15:44obviously was parked for make changes, right?
- 15:46Yeah, like I was curious if you knew exactly
- 15:49I mean it was an LP and he was gonna be in the
- 15:51back. Anyways, whoa It just says do to set up
- 16:01changes, yeah, okay that they just easy enough
- 16:04He must have been pretty low that he went out.
- 16:06He went out q1. I think I think he went I think
- 16:13it was P18, actually, but you're right. Yeah,
- 16:15Q1. So, like, at that point, just take your setup
- 16:18changes and hope for a better race. Yeah, totally,
- 16:20which is exactly what they ended up doing. Yeah.
- 16:25Yeah. Anyway, McLaren. Take it away, Joe. Your
- 16:30boys absolutely killing it. I mean, there's not
- 16:32really any other way to put that. A race of their
- 16:35own, right? Truly. Both of them are max Verstappen.
- 16:39Both of them are Franz Herrmann, I should say.
- 16:42They are so, I mean, 30 seconds ahead of P3.
- 16:48And that was just Lando. Making Oscar almost
- 16:5140 seconds. They didn't have to fight each other.
- 16:55Piastri got ahead of Verstappen immediately.
- 16:57Lando did have to fight him a bit. Yeah, exactly.
- 17:00And those two laps, not even. It was like a lap
- 17:02and a half. But of Lando and Max fighting, oh,
- 17:05my God. It was so much fun. But you could tell
- 17:08Max was fighting the heck out of that guy. Just
- 17:10trying to stay up with him. Yes, yes. Lando had
- 17:13a moment where I think he thought, or rather,
- 17:15I mean, yeah, he thought he went off track and
- 17:17gained advantage, so he gave Max the position
- 17:19back. But, yeah, he did it so well. that he was
- 17:23right on him at the next, yeah. It was really
- 17:25good racing from McLaren. I mean, come on, no
- 17:28notes, really. And I mean, Piastri, I mean, he's
- 17:31quite literally, it's the definition of driving
- 17:35away with the WDC right now. I mean, if I don't,
- 17:38it's going to be really tough just getting that
- 17:40dude's way. Even if you're Lando, like he, the
- 17:44last few races, he's had way more pace than Lando
- 17:47anyway. So I don't know, dog. We could be looking
- 17:51at a brand new WDC champion already, and it's
- 17:54freaking May. I just learned today, too, which
- 17:57is interesting. Please play devil's advocate
- 18:00on that. Oscar has won three races in a row now,
- 18:03right? And he's looking for his fourth. And McLaren,
- 18:07as a team, has never won more than four races
- 18:11in a row. Interesting. More than four. And the
- 18:14only driver to win four races in a row for McLaren
- 18:17was Prost. wow so crazy so uh if just imagine
- 18:24if oscar shows up guy in his third year ever
- 18:27shows up and sets a record for such a tenured
- 18:30team like mclaren that'd be so cool and you know
- 18:33they have i mean they have two drivers that can
- 18:35break their record they do and they're both gonna
- 18:37be up there i think gleno's gonna have to work
- 18:39for it a little more though I would agree with
- 18:42that. I would agree. He's going to this point.
- 18:44I will. OK, listen, it's everyone. It's on everyone's
- 18:47mind. I know this is easy to say this, right?
- 18:49Oscar is doing so well. Well, yeah, because he
- 18:51is. It's a fact. You know what I mean? He is.
- 18:53No, he is. He is driving. He's driving better
- 18:55than Lando. It's just it's just full stop. He's
- 18:58driving better than Lando. That being said, Lando,
- 19:01I think while he still has to drive well, it's
- 19:04not going to be. I mean. You guys say he has
- 19:08some work ahead of him. You're right. To get
- 19:11to Oscar, he does, but his car is so fast. Oh,
- 19:14it is. Oh, yeah. As long as he doesn't scuff
- 19:18up quality, which they have a knack for doing
- 19:20sometimes for some reason, he's in the race.
- 19:23He's going. This is reminding me so far of Verstappen,
- 19:28Checo, and then Louis Botas right now. Like,
- 19:33they're so dominant that they're going to be
- 19:35able to just hold their own. Lando almost has
- 19:37two locked to me until Russell can put more pressure
- 19:42on him. Yeah. Which I think could still happen.
- 19:45Right. I do truly think George Russell could
- 19:47probably battle Lando, and we could see some
- 19:50fighting, some really good battling there the
- 19:52rest of this season. Yeah, I would love to see
- 19:53Mark kind of get up there more. And Max is just
- 19:56going to, you know, be Max. He's going to be
- 19:58in there somewhere. He's going to be in there
- 20:00somewhere. Max could still get P2 as well. But
- 20:03it's going to be fighting a really difficult
- 20:04car. Right. Anyway, sorry. No, that's, I mean,
- 20:09what else is there to say? It was a literal perfect
- 20:12weekend, right? Yeah, for McLaren. Yeah, no doubt.
- 20:15Mercedes, we already talked. George Russell finishing
- 20:18P3. But Kimi Antonelli. I like what you said
- 20:21here. His race craft, he needs to work on a little.
- 20:24I think that hits it right on the head. That's
- 20:26totally true. I mean, yeah, we saw it. He lost
- 20:28positions almost immediately, both in race and
- 20:31in quality. Well, the first couple turns in the
- 20:33GP were quite interesting. He was, like, keeping
- 20:36up with Max. I was like, what? Definitely. You're
- 20:39right. And then it ended. But, I mean, his quality
- 20:41was quick. Yeah. So quick. I don't know where
- 20:45that came from. And then George was struggling
- 20:48so much in qualifying. Right. Like, so much.
- 20:51It was a bad weekend for George, and he came
- 20:53up on the podium. And he's on the podium. And
- 20:55in good George Russell fashion, happenstance
- 20:58is his way into another podium. And I'm really
- 21:00sad that I didn't take George on my podium this
- 21:03week. Didn't you? I thought you did. You guys
- 21:05did a really crazy job. Wow, we had a shakeup
- 21:07there. I can't wait to get to that. That's right,
- 21:09you had Charles. Holy crap. What a shakeup. Yeah.
- 21:12Four point. Is that the first four point? No,
- 21:15that's two four points in a row. All right, we'll
- 21:17get to that. Mike's killing us, Joe. What the
- 21:20heck here? He almost got... He was so close.
- 21:22I was so close. We were watching the race together,
- 21:25and he was so close to getting six points, and
- 21:28I was just like... Joe was like, oh, no. I was
- 21:30like, I don't want... I want the McLaren 1 -2,
- 21:33but I really can't have Max in third place right
- 21:36now. Oh, my God. You'll figure out what we're
- 21:42talking about in a second. If you're already
- 21:44a fan, you know what we're talking about. For
- 21:45real. Ferrari, Leclerc finishing P7, Lewis finishing
- 21:50P8. Yep. Yep. I mean, that's... At this point,
- 21:56I really had higher hopes for Ferrari and thinking
- 22:00that they could battle. But, I mean, now Antonelli's
- 22:02beating you pretty handily, it feels like. So,
- 22:09I don't know. I think seven and eight, maybe
- 22:11that is the most realistic thing we're going
- 22:14to see from Ferrari this year. Like, I think
- 22:16Leclerc, who knows? You know, I think he could
- 22:20still, I don't know if he's going to get a podium,
- 22:22though. I was fairly confident he could still
- 22:23get podiums. But this is just like, they're consistently
- 22:26where Aston was last year. Charles said over
- 22:31the weekend that he's like, I think I got everything
- 22:34I could have out of the car this weekend. I believe
- 22:37him. He said, I don't think I can get more out
- 22:40of that car. So, barring weird things happening,
- 22:43they are... I mean, this is kind of what to expect
- 22:47out of them. Like, 5, 6, 7, that's probably where
- 22:52they're at. I know they're bringing a really
- 22:55small upgrade to Imola, but I don't... I don't
- 23:00think they can catch the Mercedes right now.
- 23:01Yeah, I don't think they can catch the Mercedes
- 23:03right now either. Barring weird situations happening,
- 23:05the Mercedes starting on fire or something. Which
- 23:08could happen. Yeah. You know, it's interesting,
- 23:10though. Hamilton finished third in the sprint,
- 23:13which kind of makes me think, what if their whole
- 23:17issue is strategy? Right? What, Ferrari with
- 23:21strategy issues? Isn't that crazy? No. Isn't
- 23:24that wild? Ferrari's never had strategy issues
- 23:26ever. That being said, doesn't account for them
- 23:29being beat by Williams. But, you know, so there's
- 23:32that. There's that. I don't know what's going
- 23:33on with Ferrari. I don't know. Maybe it was their
- 23:35livery. It was just really ugly this weekend.
- 23:37Yeah, it was not awesome. Too much paint on that
- 23:40car. I would agree with that. What's this Team
- 23:42Orders thing that you put in here, Joe? Oh, okay.
- 23:45So I was going to ask first, do you guys have
- 23:47any radio call -outs? for today no no okay then
- 23:51we can just skip that section because this is
- 23:53the only thing i had yeah so there was a portion
- 23:56in the race where hamilton and leclerc were racing
- 23:59together hamilton was on fresher i think soft
- 24:02tires right uh medium or medium so he was on
- 24:05mediums leclerc was on hards he asked to switch
- 24:08with leclerc so he could try catching albon yep
- 24:11i'm pretty sure um and they took forever to confirm
- 24:14that switch um and he was getting very impatient
- 24:17and calling him out on it um they finally did
- 24:20make the switch like way too many laps later
- 24:22and by that point Yeah, by that point, Hamilton
- 24:26was like, I mean, he had already kind of like
- 24:27burned through his tires a little bit more and
- 24:29he could not catch him. So they told him to give
- 24:34the position back to Claire, which he did, I
- 24:36think, fairly quickly. But he was not happy about
- 24:39the situation as a whole. So some of the radio
- 24:42messages that we got from Hamilton during this
- 24:46time. I just read one. Yeah. So this is. Yeah.
- 24:53Leclerc was told to swap positions after three
- 24:55laps of Hamilton asking. How did I miss this?
- 24:57Hamilton says, I gave the position in China.
- 25:00What are we doing? The engineer says, we are
- 25:02working on it. Hamilton responds, have a tea
- 25:04break while you're at it. Dude, that's. Right.
- 25:07That's like, I'm kind of paraphrasing. I don't
- 25:09think that's exact quote. No, have a tea break
- 25:11while you're at it. Come on. Quote. Yep. He did
- 25:15say that. Lap 53. This is after Leclerc swaps
- 25:18back with Hamilton. So Leclerc's now back in
- 25:20front. Engineer gives him info, Hamilton info.
- 25:23Signs 1 .3 behind. Hamilton responds, you want
- 25:27me to let him pass too? Oh yeah, that one was
- 25:30so good. Oh my gosh. Man. You want me to let
- 25:33him pass? Oh yeah, you want me to let him pass
- 25:35as well? That one I did see. It is so interesting.
- 25:39Zesty. Uh, it's almost like, and we, we've seen
- 25:42this right when like two years ago, Ferrari was
- 25:45known for making the worst strategy calls. So
- 25:48they basically gave the strategy to the drivers
- 25:50to make themselves. It seems like they're trying
- 25:53to take that control back a little bit. And I
- 25:55don't think the drivers are doing well with that.
- 25:58At least Hamilton's not, I didn't hear Pete from
- 26:00the entire race, but seven time WDC. And now
- 26:03you're going to. But he didn't have to do this
- 26:06at Mercedes, right? It's just, I don't know what's
- 26:10going on. Then again, he never had a teammate
- 26:13that could stack up to him at Mercedes. He was
- 26:15either really had a Botas or he was a bit behind
- 26:19Russell near the end there. We're just going
- 26:22to say that Ferrari is in shambles. Ferrari is
- 26:26in shambles. You know who isn't in shambles right
- 26:28now, though? I'm giving you the greatest segue
- 26:32I can here. For who? Next on my list is Max Verstappen.
- 26:37We haven't talked about Williamson? No, I know.
- 26:40That's because Joe made it. Not me. That makes
- 26:43sense because your list is better, right? Well,
- 26:45no, but I do the team based on the highest position.
- 26:50That's the only reason. I didn't do that. I could
- 26:54have made it, and I didn't make it. I'm sorry.
- 26:57No, no. I'm sorry that I was doing a producer's
- 27:00job. I'm sorry I was doing a producer's job,
- 27:03Kevin. Oh, wow. That's what I'm saying. Credit
- 27:10me. Kev's just getting shots. He doesn't deserve
- 27:16this. Technical difficulties. Max Verstappen,
- 27:22four. Yuki Tsunoda, ten. Okay. You should read
- 27:27that first line. This is dad Verstappen. Is that
- 27:31what we're calling him now? That's what I'm calling
- 27:33him now. I'm either calling him dad Verstappen
- 27:35or Franz Herr. You gotta say it when you wear
- 27:37the shirt though. Crofty. Said something about
- 27:42like like this is why Max Verstappen showing
- 27:45us why he's the daddy or something like that
- 27:47Daddy on the track. Yeah crazy like man. I don't
- 27:57know great Yeah qualified Q1, didn't he? Can
- 28:03we call him that when he's finishing P4? I mean,
- 28:05it's still Verstappen. It was a great qualifying.
- 28:08It was a good qualifying. I want to note this
- 28:12earlier. Red Bull was running an updated floor
- 28:14in Max's car, not Yuki's car. I guess that could
- 28:17explain some of the distance between them. It's
- 28:21Max Verstappen, let's be honest. I don't know
- 28:24if that floor really worked well. I mean, Yuki
- 28:26got a point. Yuki got a point. He fought for
- 28:29the point, too. He got there, so I'll give him
- 28:30that. He's still got beat by both Williams. Still
- 28:34better than Liam. Still doing better than Liam
- 28:36ever did. How about the Malpeans? No, we don't
- 28:39even need that. Yeah, Gasly finished P13. After
- 28:42starting in the pit, as we've mentioned. That's
- 28:45actually pretty good, though. Yeah, the doing
- 28:48loss and thing. I mean. It's T1, right? That's
- 28:51just. Turn one, lap one. Yeah, it was right away.
- 28:55I mean, there's a reason why. colo pinto is going
- 29:00to be in the car i mean unfortunately for jack
- 29:03uh hopefully he gets another opportunity but
- 29:06it could still be without him ran into lawson
- 29:09right but to me it did unfortunately okay um
- 29:14yeah um the best comment i saw coming out of
- 29:18that i'm sorry um was the last full lap of the
- 29:22race that do hand did was in the lego car yeah
- 29:25yeah His last full lap of an F1 track. It's also
- 29:31the happiest he's looked in the... That was hilarious.
- 29:36I loved watching that back. It was so funny.
- 29:39So funny. And taking a little bit of damage like
- 29:42that. That cracked me up. And people are like,
- 29:44oh, the people that spent so many hours are probably
- 29:47so upset. And somebody else is like, absolutely
- 29:49not. They're probably going crazy right now.
- 29:51They're watching F1 drivers have the time of
- 29:56their life in something they built. I'm sure
- 29:58they were ecstatic. And Pierre Gasly, just the
- 30:00best reactions. He was losing it. His laugh is
- 30:03hilarious. It was so good. I know. It was awesome.
- 30:06I loved that. If you have not seen that, you
- 30:08need to go back and watch. It's totally worth
- 30:09your time. Unlike watching Haas this weekend.
- 30:12Ayo! Womp womp. Womp womp. I did actually have
- 30:21one of my few notes about the races that actually
- 30:23Ollie in the sprint. uh started p20 and raced
- 30:27his way up to p8 before uh getting knocked down
- 30:31to a penalty it was an unsafe release yeah 20
- 30:36to 8 that's insane insane right i'm saying this
- 30:39is insane did he get help from the the pit lane
- 30:42or the pits at all He probably did, yeah. But
- 30:45even so, he made a bunch of overtakes as well.
- 30:48It's kind of funny looking at Oli. We're talking
- 30:50about Kimi and how Kimi's got such great one
- 30:53-lap pace, and he can put up a really good qualifying,
- 30:56but his race craft isn't really there. I feel
- 30:58like it's the opposite for Oli. I feel like Oli
- 31:01is struggling in his one -lap, but man, his race
- 31:03craft is good. Interesting. Watching this guy
- 31:06race every single race is so cool. I got to lock
- 31:08that in next race. I'm going to pay heavy attention
- 31:11to Oli. I have not been paying attention to Ocon
- 31:14basically at all because anytime I'm watching
- 31:16a Haas, I'm like, what's Oliver doing? That's
- 31:18fair. He pissed me off last year. Why? Williams.
- 31:25Williams. My favorite underdog. Yeah, Dave. What
- 31:29a race. Actually, yeah. What an awesome race.
- 31:32I mean. Battling, I mean, Albon up there. Albon
- 31:35in fifth? Yeah. Sick. That's insane. So sick.
- 31:39That's crazy. The thing is, I don't think that's
- 31:44actually an anomaly. I think they could actually
- 31:47consistently beat out Ferrari going the rest
- 31:51of the season, which actually sucks. That's crazy.
- 31:53Because I had Ferrari. I know. I had Ferrari
- 31:56up. Hold on. He's got to grab his notes. I have
- 32:00the original paper. Where did I put Ferrari in
- 32:03constructors? Second. We all put Ferrari in second.
- 32:06Darn. We're all idiots. We're all bad. Because,
- 32:08I mean, at this point, I could see Williams at
- 32:11least starting to finish consistently higher
- 32:15than Ferrari. Definitely battling. I mean, they
- 32:19looked good all race, really. I do need to address
- 32:22one thing, and this is a note that I did make
- 32:24sure to write down, is vowels after the race
- 32:27when he was talking about this, and their reporters
- 32:30were asking, like, this is great, where did all
- 32:31this pace come from? And vowels did state...
- 32:34that this finish isn't going to be a normal thing,
- 32:38and that this track is a special performance,
- 32:40and that they have upgrades for very specific
- 32:43tracks, that they believe that they'll be able
- 32:45to put up performances like this again, but not
- 32:49to expect this in every race. No, yeah, that
- 32:50makes sense. Can we expect points then, at least?
- 32:53Oh, I'm sure. Like 9 -10, 8 -9 -10, somewhere
- 32:56in there. Eight's pushing it? You know, I'm really
- 33:00happy to see them up there. Because they looked
- 33:02so fast this week. They did. They looked so good.
- 33:04I was like, dang, they flipped a switch. I would
- 33:05love to think that these upgrades will... Turns
- 33:07out they didn't. They're going to turn it back
- 33:08off. Yeah, I would love to think that these upgrades
- 33:10will carry them through the next couple races,
- 33:12at least close to points. To say that they're
- 33:15going to continuously beat Ferrari, I just think
- 33:17Ferrari's going to come back. I mean, they got
- 33:20Imola coming out. A whole other half a season,
- 33:22right, essentially. Williams didn't actually
- 33:24bring full upgrades. This was just a package
- 33:26that they had for Miami. For Miami. Yeah, because
- 33:29Val's has stated the fact that they're like,
- 33:31we're not working on this car this year, guys.
- 33:33They're like, we're not upgrading. We're focused
- 33:35on next year. They're like, this car, this performance
- 33:37is just what we've got. So they're like, if the
- 33:40people around us continue to upgrade. That's
- 33:42not our problem. What a chance to come out of
- 33:44the gate. Hot next year for Williams. They're
- 33:47focusing on next year basically entirely. And
- 33:50they've just got a couple of packages for a couple
- 33:52of races. Like Miami was one that they are going
- 33:55to show up with. But aside from that, it's just...
- 33:57I just wondered if anybody got it. Don't antagonize
- 34:02the poor boy. No, no, he didn't antagonize. He
- 34:03just said something wild. I made his brain go
- 34:06like... Wait a minute. Hold on. You need to stop
- 34:07thinking about that and go focus on what the
- 34:09heck he just said. I'm going to just ignore that.
- 34:14Despite it just being a package from Miami, Williams
- 34:18not doing horrible in general. In general, yeah.
- 34:20So I'm hoping at least through this half of the
- 34:23season they can do some. Do we have an updated
- 34:25instructors pull -up? Yeah, I can pull it up
- 34:27really quick. I'm screen peeking. What do we
- 34:30want to see? Do we want to see what Williams
- 34:31is at? Williams is fifth right now. Yeah, okay.
- 34:34Right below Ferrari. How many points below Ferrari?
- 34:39Quite a bit. Like 27. That's a good distance.
- 34:42How many points are they above six? 47 points.
- 34:44They're 17 points above Haas. Yep. Yep. I mean,
- 34:48they could absolutely... That's a good battle
- 34:50right there, Williams and Haas. Yeah. I think...
- 34:55I think those are the two frontrunners for fifth
- 34:57right now. I think Williams is crawling away
- 35:00with it. Haas has got to figure out. Haas could
- 35:02absolutely catch him, especially if Vaughn's
- 35:04going to come out and say that. Yeah, I mean,
- 35:06do either of them finish in fifth, though? You
- 35:09think Haas could finish in fifth? I think one
- 35:12of those two teams is going to finish fifth.
- 35:13Who's in seventh right now? Seventh is Aston
- 35:15Martin, and I just don't see them. Right now,
- 35:18they're not improving. They're not gaining any
- 35:20traction. But then you have Racing Bulls. Who
- 35:23could still flip the script? Alpine and then
- 35:26kick Sauber. Kick is done. The only way Alpine
- 35:29flips the script this season is if Colapinto
- 35:31comes out hot. But, I mean, Gasly also hasn't
- 35:35been finishing awesome. The car's not good. Gasly's
- 35:38either. Qualified okay in at least half the races
- 35:42this year, you know. But he can't get the car
- 35:45to the finish, you know, in points. So, I don't
- 35:49know. Yeah, they've got to fix the car. I'm not.
- 35:51I don't think Alpine can make that jump as much
- 35:53as I want them to, and I had them actually finishing
- 35:55fifth. I mean, of the bottom... And you had Aston,
- 35:58so... I do, and that was crazy of me. Of the
- 36:00bottom five, I see... I don't see either Williams
- 36:04or Haas finishing fifth. I see, like, an Alpine
- 36:07or a Racing Bulls coming back somehow. Please
- 36:09be Alpine. That's crazy. That would be awesome.
- 36:11Because, like you said, Williams is not working
- 36:13on the car, so it just doesn't really make sense
- 36:15that they would keep it. It'd be cool if they
- 36:17did, but, like... And if Racing Bulls... Hadjar
- 36:20can absolutely battle for points with the likes
- 36:24of Ali and Williams. I think he can wiggle his
- 36:27way into that mix pretty easily. Lawson, I just...
- 36:30I think there's a log jam right now between P8
- 36:33and P12, and I don't think Lawson is going to
- 36:36be part of that log jam. No. So racing bulls
- 36:39for me would be tough to climb up there. Alpine
- 36:42started okay. They had a future for this season,
- 36:48but that's quickly going away from them as well.
- 36:52They'd need a really crazy flip, and I just don't
- 36:56know right now. Yeah, and Aston Martin needs
- 36:58to... I don't think Aston's pulling through.
- 37:03I don't think Aston's even in question. I think
- 37:05you could see, I mean, yeah, we saw Hulkenberg
- 37:09finish in front of him this week, but that could
- 37:11be normal. It could be. I think at this point,
- 37:14Bortolato, I don't know. He's finished race,
- 37:16but the car sucks. I think I've mentioned this
- 37:18in a previous episode, but when you look at Williams
- 37:21versus Haas, you look at Haas, which should be,
- 37:23I think, a better car technically. Than Williams?
- 37:25Versus Williams, which has, in my opinion, better
- 37:28drivers. Oh, yeah, for sure. So it's a very interesting
- 37:32mashup between the two. He didn't say that Miami
- 37:37was the only package they're bringing. Correct,
- 37:39yeah, they do have a couple other packages in
- 37:41the future. They just need to hit really, really
- 37:44hard for just three more races, and then they
- 37:47have fifth pretty much locked, I think. I think
- 37:49they're a good contender. I mean, think about
- 37:52it. If you're finishing, what was it, fourth
- 37:54and eighth or fifth and eighth? Fifth and ninth,
- 37:58yeah. And then you just have the top four teams
- 38:00filling in the rest of the gaps. How is anyone
- 38:03going to get you? Who's going to catch you? Okay,
- 38:06I see. The only people that are there are going
- 38:09to be the top four teams. And then you've got
- 38:11Max and then Yuki should be getting 10. I mean,
- 38:1417 points, though. There are 17 points above
- 38:17Haas. How many points did you say Williams has
- 38:19right now? 37. 37? I mean, Aston last year finished
- 38:25with 94 points in fifth. So they're already a
- 38:28third of the way to where Aston finished last
- 38:29year. This was... This was round seven, right?
- 38:33Round six? This was round six. How many races
- 38:36do we have? 22? 24. 24 races? Yeah. So we're
- 38:40a fourth of the way there. We're a fourth of
- 38:41the way there. And they're a third of the points.
- 38:44Smeltsy, that's very interesting. They're not
- 38:49going to do this every single race. They're the
- 38:51third of the way there, but they could have a
- 38:54losing streak of just no points. I'm looking
- 38:59forward to this fight, though. This Williams
- 39:01-Haas... Throw Alpine in there just to be fun.
- 39:05I do hope that Alpine does make a comeback because
- 39:08now that Okan's off the team, I can start liking
- 39:10him a little bit more. You just did not like
- 39:12Okan, huh? don't care for the guy, you know?
- 39:15I don't know what it is. He's a bit of a prima
- 39:17donna. I don't know what it is. He's been pretty
- 39:19chill ever since joining Haas, though. Well,
- 39:22we touched on Kick and Aston. We don't need to
- 39:24talk about them. We talked about the radio for
- 39:28Hamilton, which was pretty much the only comms
- 39:30we heard this week. So, Kev, let's head right
- 39:34over into our news. And to start off our news,
- 39:53as the resident Alpine fan, Oliver Oaks resigns.
- 39:59There is some controversy. There is rumors about
- 40:03Flavio disagreeing with Oaks and pushing him
- 40:07out the door. Everything has been false so far,
- 40:11but the controversy is, I mean, that part of
- 40:13it is fairly true. with uh oaks's brother william
- 40:17i believe his name is uh being arrested william
- 40:20is a president of uh high tech yeah yeah high
- 40:24tech so um and then there's yeah what's the thing
- 40:28there's something related with the mazapan family
- 40:30like i thought william bought something that
- 40:35the mazapan family used to own like a share in
- 40:37something or something i can't remember what
- 40:39i what i think i was hearing was that they were
- 40:41basically using like high tech to launder money
- 40:44oh boy i did not hear that deep into it yeah
- 40:48so it sounds like it's yes money laundering yeah
- 40:50so the mazpins were basically money laundering
- 40:53through high tech with william and uh that's
- 40:56why ollie or oliver oaks was like got out and
- 41:00like basically right after miami like didn't
- 41:02stick around for any press conferences nothing
- 41:04just on a plane boom out to saudi arabia So he's
- 41:10gone. And, yeah, a lot of people are very interested
- 41:14right now because they're like, wow, was Flavio
- 41:16not the bad guy for once? Like, was Flavio actually
- 41:19in the right for once? And Flavio came out and
- 41:21said that it was nothing to do related to the
- 41:24team, which, I mean, obviously with this news
- 41:26coming out, we can probably gather that, you
- 41:29know. Because what's his name? Mazepin's dad,
- 41:32I can't remember. Mika? No. I think you're...
- 41:35I got it. Anyway, he was like... Daddy Mazepin.
- 41:38UK was like... Oh, what's the word for it? Nikita
- 41:43Mazepin. What's the word for it? Oh, it is Nikita,
- 41:46huh? Oh, wait. Essentially... No, Dmitry Mazepin.
- 41:48Essentially trying to blame Dmitry because he's
- 41:51close to Putin and stuff for the Ukraine war
- 41:53and all this stuff. So it's getting bad. It's
- 41:56getting bad. So yeah, all the oaks decided to
- 41:58dip out, whether he's involved or not. That's
- 42:02all it would end up being about anyway, so it
- 42:04kind of sucks for him. Let's just say, let's
- 42:07hope he's not involved. Let's see. Jack Doolin,
- 42:12out. Colpinto in for the next five races. I feel
- 42:18like that was going to happen as soon as Flavio
- 42:20took over. I mean, we knew that was going to
- 42:23happen, and honestly, Colpinto's probably going
- 42:26to do a better job than Jack. Just even from
- 42:30the slight experience he had. Now, we liked him
- 42:32when he came in a couple times last year, right?
- 42:34How many races did he have last year? Colapinto?
- 42:37Yeah. I think he had at least five or six, I
- 42:40think. Yeah, and I feel like the first few races,
- 42:43I'm saying first two races, we were pleasantly
- 42:47impressed, like, wow, okay. And then he ended,
- 42:49and he kept wrecking, kept wrecking, kept wrecking.
- 42:52So I'm hoping it's going to be better. than what
- 42:56Jack was given Alpine to start this season. I
- 43:00think he'll definitely do a little bit better.
- 43:03I think his big issue... Because he was in the
- 43:05Williams last year, right? Yeah. I think his
- 43:06big issue last season is that he had a lot of
- 43:08pressure on him. In the fact that he's like,
- 43:12I know... To try to obtain a seat? Yeah, he's
- 43:15like, I know I don't have a seat, and this is
- 43:16really my chance to show what I'm worth. And
- 43:19he pushed himself really hard. And he actually
- 43:21took credit for his Las Vegas crash, saying,
- 43:23yeah, I was pushing myself harder than I should
- 43:26have, because I know that I need to try and make
- 43:28a name for myself here. I really like that point.
- 43:32Yeah. I think he's... slotting into this seat
- 43:34right now way more comfortable than he was in
- 43:37the in the william seat so i think he's gonna
- 43:40come in with a with a different mentality very
- 43:42much more relaxed and comfortable like i know
- 43:45i've got my seat i know i've got a team that
- 43:47wants me to be here you know so interesting oh
- 43:52here it comes yeah he gives me this look all
- 43:54the time i think I think the biggest thing I
- 43:58want to talk about is how much he loves Jack
- 44:00and Liam so much that he wants to, like, Cadillac
- 44:05needs to have them and then Logan Sargent's the
- 44:07reserve. It all leads back to Logan. And then
- 44:10Mick. Mick Schumacher. I have news on Mick. So
- 44:16we'll come back to Mick. So the biggest thing
- 44:21that I want to talk about. is that they are calling
- 44:23this a rotate seat so you said he has a seat
- 44:26but he really doesn't have the seat but he does
- 44:29they could be calling it a rotates a rotate seat
- 44:32just to make jack feel better or make his swapping
- 44:35look better and then it could keep colapento
- 44:37I'm just going to say it. I don't think Colapinto
- 44:39is going to do any better than Jack did in five
- 44:41races. I don't either. I don't think it's a problem
- 44:45with the drivers. It's not a problem with the
- 44:48drivers. It's a problem with the car. Well, there's
- 44:50a couple of things that Jack has done that I'm
- 44:52like, whoa. But I don't think Colapinto is going
- 44:55to be like worlds better than him. Probably not
- 44:58worlds. So I'm interested in when they say rotate
- 45:02seat and they are like, when I was reading about
- 45:05it for the first time, they were pitching it
- 45:07as a strategy of like, we want the seat to be
- 45:11like a rotating seat where we can bring talent
- 45:13in and out. throughout the season to build up
- 45:16to fy 26 fy 20 i'm so sorry i'm talking work
- 45:19to why 2026 i don't um sorry that was crazy um
- 45:252026 so they're they're trying to figure out
- 45:27who best who best slots in the seat yeah so they're
- 45:30doing tryouts right now essentially live trouts
- 45:32which is crazy actually right i mean without
- 45:36telling the drivers that right like that's That's
- 45:40probably the best way to do it. That's what Flavio
- 45:42said, though. He was like, we want this seat
- 45:44to be rotating so we can take drivers in and
- 45:46out to figure out who best fits our team for
- 45:50the new regulations. Which is so interesting.
- 45:53It's also worth noting. I was hearing today that
- 46:00there are rumors going around that in like...
- 46:03Some of the test runs that they were doing. The
- 46:06other driver they have is Paul Aaron, their other
- 46:08reserve driver. I'm sorry, Paul Allen. I guess
- 46:14there were rumors going around that Paul Allen
- 46:17was putting up better times in the Alpine than
- 46:19Franco was, which could also be part of why...
- 46:23Is he part of the rotating team? Are we going
- 46:25to see a third driver in the Alpine? I think
- 46:27we are. It could be why Flavio was like, okay,
- 46:29you know what? Colapinto, we put all this effort
- 46:32into him, and he's a big name, and we want to
- 46:34put him in the seat. So we're going to rotate
- 46:35him in and give him a couple races, and if it's
- 46:38not working out, whatever, he's not scoring us
- 46:40points. We'll try and put Paul Allen in and see
- 46:43how he's doing and see if maybe he's a little
- 46:45bit faster. You know what? They're all the same,
- 46:46Jack. Get back in there at the end of the season.
- 46:48You know, let's just give Logan a call. Ooh,
- 46:51man. Mick? Mick? So say the Mick Schumacher,
- 46:56and then we'll talk about NBA. I mean, Mick Schumacher,
- 46:59I mean, I guess I'll let you, you probably have
- 47:01more red on, like, you might have like a better
- 47:04point to say. I just know what he's doing right
- 47:05now. I just, oh, I, yeah, I heard that. Where's
- 47:09my, where's my note on it? So actually Mario
- 47:11Andretti had made a comment that Mick Schumacher
- 47:16has potential as a contender for the Cadillac
- 47:18spot. Oh. And so Andretti is. Andretti is trying
- 47:23to potentially push for, or not push for, but
- 47:25is talking about, like, we can't rule out Mick
- 47:27in this seat. And when talking about it, he pointed
- 47:30out the fact that in World Endurance, which I
- 47:33think is what you were probably going to bring
- 47:34up, he's gotten two podiums out of the three
- 47:36races. So he's actually been doing really, really
- 47:39well in endurance. And so it's been kind of turning
- 47:42some heads, being like, maybe Mick has got a
- 47:44little bit of gas in the stove still. And we've
- 47:47preached PR with Danny Rick and Sergio. Right.
- 47:52Why not? You have preached that. Why not? Why
- 47:54not? The biggest name in F1 and Schumacher of
- 47:57all, possibly all time. One of the biggest names.
- 48:00Let me calm down. One of the biggest names in
- 48:02F1. One of the biggest last names. Yeah. Right.
- 48:05One that, you know, dumb American fans, no offense
- 48:08to us, would be like, oh my God, we're going
- 48:11to be a Schumacher. We're going to be. Well,
- 48:17yeah, so, like, what's... That's exactly it,
- 48:19though. Mick, after his time with Haas, lost
- 48:23some of his, like, sponsors that he had that
- 48:26got him into Formula One. And so that's part
- 48:29of the reason he went to World Endurance, because,
- 48:30like, he lost that sponsorship, he lost all interest,
- 48:32whatever, or other teams and sponsors lost interest
- 48:35in him. I would imagine he also got swapped for
- 48:39Valtteri as a reserve driver, too, so that probably
- 48:41freed him up to do other stuff. So... Taking
- 48:47him is a bit of a gamble because they don't get
- 48:51as much sponsorship money out of him, and that's
- 48:53something that a lot of teams need to think about,
- 48:55especially nowadays, which only furthers my ambitions
- 48:58that they're going to take Checo as their other
- 49:00seat, a pay driver who gets paid very well from
- 49:03big Mexican sponsors. How good would it be if
- 49:07they had Sergio and Mick Schumacher? Checo spotted
- 49:13in Miami. Checo's in Miami. He wasn't. Checo's
- 49:18in Miami for the upcoming Cadillac reveal. He
- 49:21was in Miami. Crickets. Nothing. Nothing happened.
- 49:25The reveal was stupid. The reveal was stupid.
- 49:28The reveal was dumb. I didn't even see it. It
- 49:30was stupid. It was just like a video. It was
- 49:32just a video. Terry Crews was there. I think
- 49:35some of the artists were there. So he's racing
- 49:36next year. Yeah. Terry Crews. They fit him in
- 49:39a car somehow. The Cadillacs are going to be
- 49:41bigger cars than all the other cars on the track.
- 49:44I mean, true to nature. Just like the NASCAR.
- 49:49The Camaro in the WEC. The Camaro at Le Mans.
- 49:53Yeah, that was. crazy um those pictures blow
- 49:56my mind yeah they were yeah it's yeah you don't
- 49:58realize like how like car size you think that
- 50:01those prototype cars are like huge but they're
- 50:03truly car sized yeah yeah um no yeah that's yeah
- 50:08i i still think i feel like honestly mick is
- 50:11a better choice or a more logical choice than
- 50:14checko or danny that's crazy you're right though
- 50:17checko would bring in way more money if that's
- 50:20what they were what they're looking for and maybe
- 50:21maybe they should be But I feel like a fresh
- 50:24driver looking for a good name as well, Mick
- 50:27would be a pretty good choice. I just don't think
- 50:29they're going to pick Checo. They'd start selling
- 50:30a lot of Cadillacs in the U .S. more so if Checo
- 50:33became part of it. Maybe, yeah. Interesting.
- 50:36Okay, so yeah, that was not my point. I was going
- 50:39to move Mick. I was going to mention Mick is
- 50:40currently racing in Alpine Hypercar in WEC, doing
- 50:44very well. I think he just did the... Was it
- 50:4712 hours of Spa? I think he did decently. He's
- 50:52on the podium, I thought. That Alpine WEC has
- 50:56not been a great car to drive, so he's doing
- 51:00it well. How many drivers are in the 12 -hour
- 51:02one? It's not just how many drivers, but how
- 51:06many cars, because there's three different classes
- 51:08of cars that are driving at the same time, or
- 51:10four different classes of cars. Don't they use
- 51:13four drivers for the 24 -hour races? Per car?
- 51:17Per car, yeah. It's like two to three, I think.
- 51:19I thought it was four. Okay, never mind then.
- 51:21I think I want to say it's two to three. They
- 51:22probably still use the same two to three then
- 51:24for the 12 -hour. Yes. Yeah, so never mind. Yeah,
- 51:26so like K -Mag is also in that series as well.
- 51:30He's in the BMW currently, and he's also been
- 51:33doing very well. Much like Antonelli, his qualifying
- 51:37is incredible, but their race craft is not very
- 51:40good. It's like they're former F1 drivers. Yeah,
- 51:42the former F1 drivers tend to do very good unless
- 51:45they're Nick DeVries. I see usually in these
- 51:47endurance races. Oh, his other buddy. He loves
- 51:50that one. Who loves that one? Nick DeVries. I
- 51:53don't like Nick DeVries. Moving on. MBS, lay
- 51:58it on us. What's the deal here? And then we're
- 52:00going to skip the last thing. So I have to give
- 52:01credit to Mike for finding this. There was a,
- 52:07I guess maybe a rumor or something, Carlos Sainz
- 52:11Sr. People were bidding him to take MBS's spot,
- 52:16saying that he could run for it. And I think
- 52:19he maybe indicated a little bit of interest somewhere.
- 52:22I don't know if there's any validity to that.
- 52:24That being said, today... MBS came out and is
- 52:29proposing changes to the statutes of the governing
- 52:32body that would essentially, without getting
- 52:34into the nitty gritty, not allow that to happen
- 52:36because it would be a conflict of interest. But
- 52:39he's making that? Yes. So the current president
- 52:42makes rules. So that means Toto's wife couldn't
- 52:44do it either. Yes. Yeah. She already came out
- 52:47and said she wouldn't, but the current president
- 52:49is making rules saying, the current FIA president
- 52:53is coming out and making rules saying that Future
- 52:57people couldn't become the current FIA president.
- 53:02That's not how that's supposed to work, Joe.
- 53:04It's not. No. That sounds like a dictator. I
- 53:10did go check it out. Carlos Sainz Sr. did confirm
- 53:15that he was seriously considering running for
- 53:17the position. So it was confirmed by him that
- 53:20he's like, yeah, I am very seriously thinking
- 53:22about doing this. So what if Carlos Sainz was
- 53:24no longer racing? Then what? He could probably
- 53:26do it. He could do it. I think so. His son would
- 53:29probably be less than happy because his son would
- 53:32get the short end of the stick here. Williams
- 53:35would probably be really unhappy because they'd
- 53:36lose their driver. No, no, no. I'm not saying
- 53:38like, hey, Carlos, you need to quit so I can
- 53:40do this thing. That's definitely not what I'm
- 53:42saying. I'm just saying like 10 years down the
- 53:44road and Carlos is done racing and it was still
- 53:47a thing. Yeah, then Senior could in theory run
- 53:51for it. Interesting. Yeah, so this is pretty
- 53:55scummy. I do have other news about MBS as well,
- 54:00something that came out prior to this. Yeah,
- 54:02more MBS news. I love it. Because there's always
- 54:03something with MBS. He goes to be so cool. He
- 54:08stated that the FIA is going to work on toning
- 54:13down the rules for Appendix B. which is that
- 54:18ruling about drivers cussing on, like, over radio
- 54:21and in press conferences and things like that.
- 54:24Toning it down, but we just get rid of it. So,
- 54:26yeah, I agree. But, which, there's actually a
- 54:29lot of... speculation that they're going to get
- 54:32rid of it but they can't until they're between
- 54:33seasons they can't they can't make major rulebook
- 54:36changes until they're between season that so
- 54:39they're just going to dial down and kind of lay
- 54:41back off of appendix b right now so that like
- 54:43like ollie made a quote stating that he's like
- 54:46i can't mess this up because i could in theory
- 54:49get fined for almost my entire year's pay oh
- 54:52yeah so he's like he's like like what i make
- 54:56from my team is almost how much the fine is so
- 55:00And that's why, like, ever since that has come
- 55:02out, they've been getting a lot of negative press.
- 55:04Interesting. I did not hear that about Oli. Yeah.
- 55:06So MBS has come out and he's like, yep, the FIA,
- 55:10we're going to back off on that just a little
- 55:12bit. We're still going to enforce it. But, like,
- 55:14maybe if you mess up, we'll just, like Max, send
- 55:17you to go do community service or something.
- 55:20Which is still so dumb. We aren't going to fine
- 55:22you a million dollars. I don't think Max did
- 55:29community service. We would have heard if he
- 55:32did it. I don't think he did. He said he wasn't
- 55:33going to do it. That's funny. At least I think
- 55:36Hamilton said Max shouldn't do it. I wouldn't
- 55:39do it. I hope he didn't. That would be way funnier.
- 55:43Yeah, that's crazy. I was starting to type, did
- 55:45Max Verstappen, and it said win. Come on. Come
- 55:48on. I mean, yes. Over, under. That is interesting.
- 55:52It makes me think if they are going to kind of
- 55:55hold back or rather pull back on their regulations
- 55:57of what people can say. I think another big part
- 56:00of it is probably because Max has refused to
- 56:02just talk during interviews. He's just refused.
- 56:07He's like, I'm not going to talk about that because
- 56:09I'll get in trouble. That's like his main line
- 56:11now. And that's probably not great either. No,
- 56:14that's terrible press. That's worse. AI overview.
- 56:19Okay. We always trust AI. Correct. Always. It's
- 56:242025. Come on. Yes. Max Verstappen completed
- 56:27his community service penalty in Rwanda. He served
- 56:31his punishment before the FIA Awards Gala, where
- 56:34he received his fourth championship title. So,
- 56:37yeah. I don't know what he did, but apparently
- 56:39he got it done in Rwanda. Huh. Okay. Props to
- 56:45him, I guess. Sorry. I don't know. Sorry, Kev.
- 56:50This is absolutely ridiculous. Unprofessional.
- 56:54Yeah. Yeah. Well, it was a video of Max just
- 56:56happening in Rwanda doing community service.
- 56:58I wanted to see that. Oh, fair. It's just him
- 57:00talking at a microphone. So he probably gave
- 57:02a speech and they were like, that's good. Good
- 57:05job. And now he's driving a car in Rwanda. I
- 57:08do. Okay. No. He does not do anything. I mean,
- 57:13did the community like it? They must have. He
- 57:16was servicing the community. That's true. I'm
- 57:19going to go in a circle for four hours. But he's
- 57:21driving it. Yeah. So I do have one other quick
- 57:24note, too. And I told you about this ahead of
- 57:27time. But I did also hear as well that Red Bull
- 57:31has been trying to commune with the FIA and try
- 57:37and push back some of the regulations on next
- 57:39year's engine and change some of the rulings
- 57:43because they are. Red Bull is trying to do this?
- 57:45Yes. They are afraid of how much the engine uses
- 57:49battery and how that will affect the engine on
- 57:52large straights and in high altitude locations.
- 57:55We're afraid everybody's going to be on the same
- 57:58playing field as us. That's the problem. That's
- 58:01what it is to me. I think what it is is that
- 58:03Red Bull is secretly like, oh, crap. uh the ford
- 58:08engine is not panning out to be as powerful as
- 58:11we want and they need more time to work on it
- 58:13so we need to make some changes that benefit
- 58:15us so please that's not gonna happen that's so
- 58:17funny uh I read a news article today. I'm not
- 58:20saying you're wrong. I think maybe they're backtracking
- 58:22or trying to do some PR. I read a news article
- 58:24today where Ford came out and said, yeah, the
- 58:26engine stuff is going great. They came out and
- 58:30were like, yeah, I feel like obviously we don't
- 58:32have the whole thing done, but things are proceeding
- 58:34really well. We're getting information fed to
- 58:37us and we're getting ready. We're basically building
- 58:40parts to test now and it's going well. Hearing
- 58:43that, I'm like, whoa, maybe that was just PR.
- 58:46Maybe it is. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe
- 58:48Red Bull is just blowing smoke out their butts
- 58:51or something. I don't know. Maybe they're just
- 58:53trying to hassle the rest of the team as Red
- 58:56Bull likes to do. Typical. Or the rest of the
- 58:59grid, I mean to say. All right. All right. We
- 59:01got to move on. Preview, Kev. Preview. Just send
- 59:04it whenever you're ready. That sounds good. Joe,
- 59:06you ready? And it is time to go up to speed for
- 59:23the Formula One AWS Gran Premio del Made in Italy
- 59:27e del Emilia -Romagna 2025. Say that five times
- 59:31fast. You killed that. I'm really glad I'm not
- 59:34trying to say those anymore. Yeah, I mean, I
- 59:37think this is the one we mentioned last year,
- 59:39too, of like, that was a mouthful. That was a
- 59:41mouthful. All right. As a fun fact, per usual,
- 59:45this circuit has been known by three different
- 59:47names. Autodroma di Imola, Autodroma Enzo e Dino
- 59:52Ferrari, and Emilia -Romagna Circuit. I just
- 59:56call it Imola. I'm going to mention Imola a lot.
- 59:58I wrote Emilia -Romagna a lot because I think
- 1:00:01that's technically what it should be called,
- 1:00:02but it'll forever be Imola to me. That's the
- 1:00:04technical name. Yeah, it's going to forever.
- 1:00:07I think it's because it's the region that they're
- 1:00:08in. I don't know. Right. Our starting grid for
- 1:00:13last year's race is Max to Lando, Charles to
- 1:00:16Carlos. We go racing at Emilia -Romagna, and
- 1:00:19Max keeps his lead ahead of Lando. Both Ferraris
- 1:00:22side -by -side and close behind them, trailed
- 1:00:24by Oscar and a pair of Mercedes. An incredibly
- 1:00:27clean start from every driver in the field through
- 1:00:29the first corners, the only one to gain positions
- 1:00:31in the top 10 being Hamilton, moving ahead of
- 1:00:34Yuki. It is smooth sailing for 10 laps until
- 1:00:37we cut to Albon running slowly around the track
- 1:00:39after his pit stop. A replay of his stop is shown
- 1:00:42where only three of his tires are bolted down.
- 1:00:44He limps back to the pits for another change
- 1:00:46in comes out a lap down on the field. Perez,
- 1:00:49who started out of point and attempted to claw
- 1:00:51his way back, has a small incident on lap 14
- 1:00:54going off the track and into the gravel after
- 1:00:56a quick lockup down into the last few corners
- 1:00:58before the starting straight. While the top of
- 1:01:01the order remains fairly static, we get to watch
- 1:01:03some more fights down the field, namely Yuki
- 1:01:05overtaking Logan in the start of the S's after
- 1:01:07a long first straight, and Hulkenberg taking
- 1:01:10Logan on the next set of S's quickly after. After
- 1:01:13his pit stop, Perez starts to regain control
- 1:01:15of this car and control his race, making a couple
- 1:01:17of easy moves into the bottom. bottom of the
- 1:01:18points, taking 9th from Hulk and 8th from Sonoda.
- 1:01:21Lap 47, Hulk's day gets worse as he loses the
- 1:01:24final point position to Stroll, and 4 laps later,
- 1:01:27Stroll's day gets better as he takes Yuki's place,
- 1:01:29putting himself in 9th after utilizing the fresher
- 1:01:31set of tires. The battle for 2nd between Norse
- 1:01:34and Leclerc gets put on hold as Charles cuts
- 1:01:36through the grassy last chicane, losing time
- 1:01:38to Norse and falling slightly behind. By lap
- 1:01:4146, Max is starting to feel a little under pressure
- 1:01:43as his tires start to fall off. And he's racing
- 1:01:46well after being given his final. And rather,
- 1:01:48he is racing well on the edge being given his
- 1:01:50final warning from the track limits. He is told
- 1:01:52to focus on keeping it on track and, of course,
- 1:01:55staying ahead of Lando. All the while, Lando
- 1:01:57is encouraged to push towards the leader. Lando
- 1:02:00is able to lessen the gap to 1 .6 seconds by
- 1:02:03lap 58 when his engineer tells him that he can
- 1:02:07push even more on certain turns. Lando drives
- 1:02:10his car to the absolute limit, taking it to the
- 1:02:12knife edge of the curbs, almost losing control
- 1:02:14as he drives over them. At the end of the day,
- 1:02:17however, Max Verstappen is still Max Verstappen.
- 1:02:19Lando ends up closing the gap to under a second
- 1:02:21to Max. However, Max is able to keep him behind
- 1:02:23through the final lap, taking the win in Imola.
- 1:02:26Our finals, Verstappen, Norris, Leclerc, Piastri,
- 1:02:30Sainz, Hamilton, Russell, Perez, Stroll, and
- 1:02:33Sonota. I'm a little headed. What happened? I
- 1:02:41mean, you pounded it out. Yeah. You pounded it
- 1:02:44out. It seemed like it was a, I mean, I don't
- 1:02:47want to say a boring race, but it wasn't the
- 1:02:48most exciting race ever last year. So, you know,
- 1:02:51it's an easy track now, a ton of overtaking opportunities.
- 1:02:54It's an older track. It is. So it does struggle
- 1:02:58with what some of the older tracks have, that
- 1:03:00our cars are very big now. The F1 cars are much
- 1:03:03bigger than they used to be, so it's harder to
- 1:03:04overtake on the track. So another week where
- 1:03:08qualifying is going to be oh so crucial and something
- 1:03:11that we expect. Yeah, something you've got to
- 1:03:14think about. Other thing that will make qualifying
- 1:03:16interesting that I failed to bring up in news
- 1:03:19is this weekend will be the first weekend where
- 1:03:21we will be able to use the C6 tire. which is
- 1:03:25also previously known as the Hypersofts. They
- 1:03:29were previously the purple tire. So they'll be
- 1:03:33available. They will be available. I'm not saying
- 1:03:34they have to use them, but they will be available.
- 1:03:36But likely chance that they will use it for qualifying.
- 1:03:41I mean, yeah. They have to. Because they are
- 1:03:44just the fastest. They would have to, yeah. So
- 1:03:46there's a good chance that that'll happen. We'll
- 1:03:49see some fast laps. Interesting. With the boys?
- 1:03:52There will be a few boys. That's us. That's us.
- 1:03:58Sorry, I'm a little behind. Are we doing a pod?
- 1:04:01No. So last week in Miami, I got one point. Joe
- 1:04:07got three. And Mike, he got four. Joe and Mike
- 1:04:11both picking Oscar to win the race. Hello. Yellow.
- 1:04:18That's my boy. So wait a minute. Yeah, so if
- 1:04:22he would have put George, yeah, he would have
- 1:04:24got, that would have been six -pointer. That's
- 1:04:27the most we can get, yeah? Yep. Yep, yep, six.
- 1:04:30So far, you're still the only one to get six.
- 1:04:34You got six on the second race. Oh, that's right.
- 1:04:36You did that. Because of George Russell. Yeah,
- 1:04:38I did do that. Because of George Russell. The
- 1:04:39only one. Who else? Yeah, yeah. So anyway, I'm
- 1:04:43no longer in the lead, so I no longer have to
- 1:04:44go first. Yeah? Mike with the four points, and
- 1:04:47I only grabbed one this week. We did a little
- 1:04:49switcheroo. Now is it my turn to start reminding
- 1:04:52that I am now in the lead for the first time
- 1:04:54in the boys' history? I mean, like you've done
- 1:04:59every episode. Yeah. You've done every episode.
- 1:05:04First time. First time. Look at me. I'm number
- 1:05:07one. So I am so lost on who to pick because there's
- 1:05:15so many. Yeah. Qualifying is going to be really
- 1:05:19good. Well, there's so many good options that
- 1:05:22I'm like, pretty much anything you guys say,
- 1:05:24I'll be like, yeah, sure. That's fair. So you
- 1:05:27should go with William. In third, I am picking
- 1:05:32Lando Norris. Crazy. Okay. In second, I am picking
- 1:05:41Max Verstappen. What a joke. And in first, I
- 1:05:46am picking Oscar Piastri. And there's a little
- 1:05:49bit of copium in that. Although I do feel like
- 1:05:52there's a very real world where we see... Max,
- 1:05:56qualify first. Bro's just stealing my podium
- 1:05:58from last weekend. That's crazy. I mean, to be
- 1:06:02honest, I lost. Yeah, true. All right, Joe. So
- 1:06:07you should be happy, right? It's not my turn.
- 1:06:09It's your turn. That was a good podium, by the
- 1:06:12way. I know. You're the wild card, by the way.
- 1:06:20I think Mike and I typically always pick the
- 1:06:22same podium, more or less. Like, order kind of
- 1:06:26withstanding, the people are the same. You, however,
- 1:06:30had Charles in your podium. Hey, I picked Charles
- 1:06:33Leclerc once. Once. Yeah, and I got points off
- 1:06:36of him, too. He's done it almost every weekend.
- 1:06:42Hey, you know what? This is basically a home
- 1:06:44race for him. I have not picked... It is Italy.
- 1:06:46I have not picked Oscar to win yet. It is Italy,
- 1:06:49yep. Yet this year. Other than one time. Wow.
- 1:06:53Just failing. This is also basically a home race
- 1:06:56for Kimmy, too. It is. Yes, that's true. That's
- 1:07:00a really... Honestly, that's a really good point.
- 1:07:03I really want to leave Oscar off my podium just
- 1:07:06to throw a wrench in things. But I feel like
- 1:07:08that's not going to be smart. So we'll go Oscar
- 1:07:11winning because it just seems like a safe choice.
- 1:07:13I want to leave him off my podium. We're going
- 1:07:16to keep him in the top. Oh, man. You guys are
- 1:07:27going to. This is going to be crazy. George Russell.
- 1:07:30I was about to say. George and Charles. George
- 1:07:33freaking Russell and P2. Do it. Yes, let's go.
- 1:07:38And then say Charles Sinclair. Max for seven.
- 1:07:41Yeah, that's fair. That's probably smarter than
- 1:07:43Charles. But Lando not on the podium. I don't
- 1:07:47know. That makes me nervous. And George at two,
- 1:07:49that's crazy. So whatever. You guys made my job
- 1:07:54easy. It's Lando, Oscar, and Max. I thought about
- 1:07:57doing Lando winning. And then I left him off
- 1:08:00my podium. Yeah, I was going to do anything.
- 1:08:02So just a little insight into my game. I was
- 1:08:05going to do any opposite winner because I knew
- 1:08:07you were going to pick Oscar Orlando. I was going
- 1:08:10to opposite winner for you. So, yeah, Orlando.
- 1:08:12I was trying to get a free two points this week.
- 1:08:14That's all I'm trying to do. I was very seriously
- 1:08:16thinking about putting Max up as my winner because
- 1:08:18Max is super fast. And they're going to qualify
- 1:08:21on C6s more than likely. And Max's one lap pace
- 1:08:25is unreal. I like this track, Satasa. It's going
- 1:08:29to be a toss -up this weekend. My gut's telling
- 1:08:33me that Max is going to qualify first, and he's
- 1:08:35going to take a 5 -second penalty, or like a
- 1:08:375 -10 -second penalty from track limits, and
- 1:08:39he's going to get pushed down to the second.
- 1:08:41Track limits is a great thing to bring up, too.
- 1:08:44Because he struggled with track limits last year.
- 1:08:46He did. And this car is a lot harder to handle
- 1:08:49than last year's car. Okay, well, that actually
- 1:08:53helps my thought of potentially going really
- 1:08:57crazy and putting Kimi at three. That would have
- 1:08:59been sick. Just to be fun. I would love to see
- 1:09:01Kimi. But, like, I think the track limit thing,
- 1:09:03you know, it is a skinnier track. And watching
- 1:09:07some of these drivers the past few years that
- 1:09:09go to their home for the first time, like, it
- 1:09:12doesn't usually go well. Usually, yeah. So, like,
- 1:09:14I just don't, I'm not feeling it. I could put
- 1:09:18Kimi on a podium this year. Predictions be damned.
- 1:09:21I would like to see Kimi. I think it would be
- 1:09:23cool if he got a podium here. Of course, it would
- 1:09:24be cool. It would be cool if freaking Joe Granu
- 1:09:30won a freaking F1 championship, but I don't know
- 1:09:33how cool that would be. Joe Granu? What's his
- 1:09:35name? Joe Guan Yu. See, I can't say it. I, no
- 1:09:41joke, had no idea who you were talking about.
- 1:09:44Yeah, Guan Yu. My bad, Joe. I saw a different
- 1:09:48creator who was talking about how funny it's
- 1:09:51going to be if Kimi is fighting the Ferraris
- 1:09:54this weekend. Because what is the Tifosi going
- 1:09:56to do? They're going to be like, who are they
- 1:09:57going to root for? Their home team of the Ferraris
- 1:10:00or the Italian driver? I think they can root
- 1:10:03for both. They're going to like, Kimi will pass
- 1:10:05or the Ferraris will pass. They'll be like, yeah!
- 1:10:07And then Kimi will pass and they'll be like,
- 1:10:09yeah! Screw it. Might as well. Tifosi, if there's
- 1:10:16any Tifosi watchers, let me know. All right.
- 1:10:19Man, that's it, fellas. That's it. That's a wrap.
- 1:10:22Already? That's a wrap. What do you mean already?
- 1:10:24We're at an hour 10, dog. I could push this another
- 1:10:26half an hour easy. We almost could have wrapped
- 1:10:27this up at 30 minutes. That's the sad part. So
- 1:10:29here we are. Glad you're still here with us.
- 1:10:32We're here the next three weeks. Triple header.
- 1:10:35Yeah. We don't have a break until Canada, until
- 1:10:38right before Canada. Excuse me. We got Monaco
- 1:10:41coming up, don't we? Yeah. Yep. So it's Amelia.
- 1:10:46And I'm going to be done saying other names this
- 1:10:49weekend. Good job. And then. Yeah, Parmesan,
- 1:10:51Romeo, and then... Parmesan, Romero. Yeah. And
- 1:10:56then I think it's Monaco, and then it's Spain.
- 1:11:00Is it Monaco after Ebola? I think so, yeah. I'm
- 1:11:02pretty sure. I'm pretty sure Monaco's next. And
- 1:11:04we got the Spain, J -Pay. I love... J -Pay. I
- 1:11:08love España. All right, don't forget to like,
- 1:11:11comment, subscribe, wherever you listen to the
- 1:11:13band, or whether that's YouTube, Spotify, Apple
- 1:11:15Podcast, or iHeartRadio. Don't know what happened
- 1:11:19there. That's it. Peace.
