Latest / DFW’s The Wolfpack / Episode 2
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: A wolf pack is not an accidental gathering of hunters.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack.
- 0:21Speaker 2: But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he
- 0:23Speaker 2: was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it
- 0:28Speaker 2: grew by one.
- 0:47Speaker 1: The date is September 22nd, 2026. And you are listening
- 0:51Speaker 1: to DFW's The Wolfpack. This is episode two. Appreciate you listening.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And thanks to those of you returning. I am the
- 0:59Speaker 1: White Wolf, Rene DeLeon, and I am joined by El
- 1:02Speaker 1: Lobo de Cuadres himself, Manny Galvan.
- 1:08Speaker 3: What's going on, everybody? Welcome to the second episode.
- 1:13Speaker 1: If you would like to comment on the pod, you
- 1:14Speaker 1: can find us on our social media, at WolfpackDFW for
- 1:18Speaker 1: both Instagram and Twitter X. That's at WolfpackDFW for both. So,
- 1:25Speaker 1: kind of feedback you get on the pod, man.
- 1:28Speaker 3: We had a couple likes on the stories that we posted,
- 1:34Speaker 3: and then we had somewhat of a detailed review for
- 1:41Speaker 3: one of our P1s from the ticket.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Mr.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Jeff Ortiz, shout out.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Shout out, Jeff Ortiz. He's been with us day one.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, he was just like... He said, I sound like
- 1:56Speaker 3: I was doing it from a manhole. He said, leave
- 2:01Speaker 3: the job so I can wait, bro. But shout out.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Appreciate the feedback.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we had some technical difficulties. And, you know, we're
- 2:13Speaker 1: working through those. But, yeah, we're all good now. We're
- 2:16Speaker 1: here together. We're in the Wolfpack studio. The official Wolfpack studio.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah, the feedback I got was positive, mostly. I got
- 2:32Speaker 1: a couple of guys from the ticket. They contacted me
- 2:36Speaker 1: and said, hey, man, we should get a look on
- 2:39Speaker 1: the pod. That was pretty cool of them.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that was nice. Not going to lie, also, I
- 2:47Speaker 3: feel like last week on Tuesday, my wife and I
- 2:52Speaker 3: went to a theater to see the It's Juan Gabriel
- 2:56Speaker 3: from Palacio Villas Artes, I believe. So I might have
- 3:00Speaker 3: had a little bit, a little few drinks.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Well, it was Wednesday when we did it.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So by that time on
- 3:07Speaker 3: Wednesday night, I was a little tired. I was not
- 3:10Speaker 3: going to say the effort wasn't there, but I was
- 3:12Speaker 3: definitely moving slow. So I apologize for that. But no,
- 3:16Speaker 3: we're better today. Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, the response I got was pretty good. Man, the
- 3:23Speaker 1: numbers are crazy. I mean, I put a clip out
- 3:26Speaker 1: of our Cowboys segment, just a 29, what, 30-second clip. And, dude,
- 3:32Speaker 1: in 10 hours, it had 200 views. I was like,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that's incredible, man. And the numbers just on Twitter, the
- 3:39Speaker 1: post of us posting the podcast, both links of Apple
- 3:44Speaker 1: and Spotify. they were at 200 in a day and
- 3:49Speaker 1: it was incredible, man. Just the numbers, the listeners and
- 3:52Speaker 1: the downloads. I really appreciate you guys listening to us. Uh,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I had, I had a buddy of mine asked, Hey, uh,
- 4:02Speaker 1: so is there a competition between you and the other podcast?
- 4:05Speaker 1: And I said, yeah, not really. There's no competition.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Just because I mentioned it. Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Just because you mentioned it. And I'm like, yeah,
- 4:12Speaker 1: there's really not a competition. We, and I was very
- 4:15Speaker 1: surprised at it, but Hey, That's the ticket kiss, man.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I was telling everybody, I was telling my brother, that's
- 4:21Speaker 1: the ticket kiss. The fact that we were on the ticket,
- 4:24Speaker 1: that little kiss, that Sunday two hours that we did,
- 4:28Speaker 1: that brought people to us, man. And the fact that
- 4:33Speaker 1: the other podcasts were not even close to us is
- 4:36Speaker 1: because we're not on there anymore. And this is the
- 4:40Speaker 1: podcast that Everybody wants to listen to the sports talk.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Speaking of followers, I think from this month until now
- 4:52Speaker 3: on Instagram views, they have been from September 2nd to
- 5:00Speaker 3: today or to the 21st of yesterday, 1,958 views on
- 5:04Speaker 3: our Instagram. And we were at 20, I want to
- 5:07Speaker 3: say 22, 2300. Then, when I checked it, and then
- 5:14Speaker 3: in the past few days, since we put out the
- 5:16Speaker 3: first episode, our viewership has gone up.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Man, that's awesome. Yeah, it's really surprising, man. I'm like, wow,
- 5:26Speaker 1: that's where we are, man. People are following us. People
- 5:28Speaker 1: want to know what we're doing. People want to hear
- 5:31Speaker 1: our opinions about it. So like I said, we'll be
- 5:34Speaker 1: putting these out weekly.
- 5:35Speaker 3: And again, appreciate everybody that's been here since... You know,
- 5:38Speaker 3: since we started, well, I want to say we started,
- 5:41Speaker 3: that was the radio thing. And then when we went
- 5:44Speaker 3: on our own, that has been a good thing. And
- 5:48Speaker 3: I think that some of the listeners that are following
- 5:50Speaker 3: us on Instagram, just listening.
- 5:53Speaker 1: As we learned, you never know who might be listening. Exactly.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You never know who might be listening. We had a
- 5:58Speaker 1: good show. We will end with what are we watching?
- 6:03Speaker 1: We haven't done that in a while since we did
- 6:05Speaker 1: the last episode of the radio show. or our last
- 6:08Speaker 1: radio show we did. We'll be doing that. Got another
- 6:12Speaker 1: segment of Hit It and Quit It. People really liked
- 6:14Speaker 1: the opening to Hit It and Quit It, I was told.
- 6:17Speaker 1: We'll talk a little college football talk as we got
- 6:22Speaker 1: the Battle of the UTs coming up this Saturday. Saturday morning.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I'm surprised it's Saturday morning. Yeah, yeah. I'm really surprised
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's Saturday morning, but I guess they want A &
- 6:32Speaker 1: M and LSU in the afternoon. That's the night game.
- 6:35Speaker 1: On ABC.
- 6:35Speaker 3: That's going to fuck with my sleep on Saturday morning,
- 6:37Speaker 3: but whatever, I'll be up. But yeah, I mean, I'm
- 6:40Speaker 3: surprised that they won the LSU. I mean, yes, they
- 6:43Speaker 3: are ranked, but after the.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Both teams lost, yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, the performance, especially A & M' s performance. LSU, they
- 6:51Speaker 3: were kind of close a little bit. But A & M,
- 6:53Speaker 3: I mean, they shit the bed, especially in the second half.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so we'll get to that. We'll also do the
- 6:59Speaker 1: around the NFL, and we'll do Cowboys talk. But before
- 7:01Speaker 1: we do that, In need of some car maintenance? Check
- 7:04Speaker 1: engine light turned on all of a sudden? Call American
- 7:07Speaker 1: Auto Masters today at 972-438-8859. That's 972-438-8859. American Auto Masters

- 7:40Speaker 1: DeLeon sent you. American Auto Masters, serving DFW since 1985.
- 7:43Speaker 1: We're sending out love. Everybody have a happy football! Yes, indeed,
- 8:07Speaker 1: it was happy this week as the Dallas Cowboys victorious
- 8:13Speaker 1: 37-20 against the Washington Commanders. Defense played better, but you
- 8:20Speaker 1: kind of wonder, man, how would it have looked if
- 8:24Speaker 1: Jayden Daniels hadn't gotten hurt?
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely wanted to bring that up, but.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Yeah, as I've been saying, I think this team could
- 8:35Speaker 3: go 12-5. But in the last two games, I don't know, man.
- 8:41Speaker 3: This is looking like an average team. It's looking like
- 8:46Speaker 3: an average team. Not because of the offense. I'm not
- 8:51Speaker 3: worried about the offense. The offense is still doing what
- 8:54Speaker 3: it's supposed to be doing. But the defense, like you said,
- 8:58Speaker 3: it was better this game, but... I think there's still
- 9:02Speaker 3: communication issues. And the fact that, at least to me,
- 9:09Speaker 3: the two best players in your defense, your best player
- 9:12Speaker 3: in the defense is Caleb Downs, hands down. But, and
- 9:18Speaker 3: the linebacker is going to be Jay Sean. Jay Sean Barham.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I did kind of shit on him last game because
- 9:24Speaker 3: he was not showing up. It was like he was
- 9:25Speaker 3: nowhere to be found. I kind of did text you
- 9:28Speaker 3: on Sunday and said, Wayne, he's not hustling. in the
- 9:32Speaker 3: but he got better throughout the game.
- 9:35Speaker 1: The fumble he caused yeah yeah that closing speed bam
- 9:40Speaker 1: hit the guy punched it out and then the guy
- 9:41Speaker 1: didn't know what to do and right he was just
- 9:44Speaker 1: trying to move around and he fumbled the ball and
- 9:46Speaker 1: yeah barham there's something there and it's gonna get better
- 9:51Speaker 1: yeah for sure as long as he stops puking all
- 9:54Speaker 1: over the field yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah that was that that was that was funny when
- 9:57Speaker 3: i was like oh i had to rewind it because.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I was like look he did the wheelie beam in
- 10:01Speaker 1: from any given Sunday.
- 10:03Speaker 3: And I think that was one of the players that
- 10:04Speaker 3: he kind of took off, understandably, you know, because he
- 10:08Speaker 3: just threw up. I don't know what he was feeling
- 10:09Speaker 3: down there. But, yeah, the fact that those two players
- 10:13Speaker 3: are the best players on your defense, it's a little
- 10:16Speaker 3: bit of a problem. Two rookies are your best players. Yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 3: for the future, it looks great. I get that. But
- 10:21Speaker 3: for now, I mean, Quillian Williams hasn't shown up. He
- 10:25Speaker 3: had a better game.
- 10:25Speaker 1: What the hell is going on with him, dude?
- 10:27Speaker 3: I have no idea. I heard Jerry Jones today. They
- 10:30Speaker 3: asked him if he's hurt. He said no. And I
- 10:34Speaker 3: was like, okay, well, Rashawn Gary hasn't shown up. Kenny
- 10:38Speaker 3: Clark has been average. And they just gave these guys extensions.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Dude, where is the pass rush?
- 10:46Speaker 3: The best one that you've had is Donovan Zarocco. But
- 10:49Speaker 3: he can not sign the quarterback to save his life.
- 10:51Speaker 3: He had three chances.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Nobody got... Every time they got close, Mariota and Jaden
- 10:57Speaker 1: Williams got away. Jaden Daniels got away.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And like you said, man, I don't know what would
- 11:02Speaker 3: happen if Jaden Daniels doesn't get hurt. And, yeah. Somebody...
- 11:09Speaker 3: And this is a stupid joke, and this is kind
- 11:11Speaker 3: of taste.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Kind of.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Depends on how you look at it, but it's like
- 11:17Speaker 3: Jaden Daniels getting hurt on the five-yard line. What an irony,
- 11:23Speaker 3: I guess, you know, because of the whole five.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Damn, I didn't even think about that. Wow. That's hilarious.
- 11:30Speaker 3: You never want to see a guy get hurt. But
- 11:32Speaker 3: that was funny that I saw it, and I laughed,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and I was like, that's a little bit distasteful. I
- 11:37Speaker 3: don't know.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That's funny, bro.
- 11:39Speaker 3: But, yeah, obviously the offense, Dak Prescott going off, breaking
- 11:43Speaker 3: the touchdown record.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Dak came with it today, man. Finally, Gotti. That's what
- 11:50Speaker 1: they meant when they said we want to be Gotti.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 11:53Speaker 1: That game right there. Hey, and if your defense, look,
- 11:57Speaker 1: if the defense can keep the 20. If you just
- 12:02Speaker 1: can give up giving 20, they're going to win games
- 12:05Speaker 1: because they're going to score 28. They're going to score 31.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think also because the defense, and we
- 12:10Speaker 3: kept saying even before, you know, Before the season started,
- 12:14Speaker 3: when we're talking about Christian Parker coming over and doing
- 12:18Speaker 3: the hype. And we agreed that if this defense can
- 12:22Speaker 3: be average, just average. Middle of the pack, give me 16,
- 12:26Speaker 3: top 14 to 16, 17 maybe. If the defense can
- 12:31Speaker 3: do that, I think that the offense got you and
- 12:32Speaker 3: they can score enough points to beat teams. But you
- 12:35Speaker 3: can't be always coming back to try to win the game,
- 12:39Speaker 3: that kind of thing. No. No.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You can't. And that's the whole thing is that being
- 12:47Speaker 1: middle of the pack is an improvement because you were
- 12:51Speaker 1: the worst. Right. So being middle of the pack, that's
- 12:54Speaker 1: going to help you.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 1: That's going to help you big time. Just being middle
- 12:58Speaker 1: of the pack is going to win you, like I
- 13:00Speaker 1: said in the offseason, is going to win you four games.
- 13:02Speaker 1: They just get 50% better, they'll win more games.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's as simple as that.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Let me ask you a question, though. Speaking of middle
- 13:08Speaker 3: of the pack. Would you rather have an offensive middle
- 13:11Speaker 3: of the pack and an elite defense? Obviously, people always
- 13:14Speaker 3: say defense wins championships. That's the whole– everybody always says that.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Or would you rather have a middle of the pack
- 13:20Speaker 3: defense and have a powerful offense like the Cowboys? Obviously,
- 13:24Speaker 3: they do. They obviously do. The run game right now
- 13:26Speaker 3: is not– I think they struggle a little bit in
- 13:28Speaker 3: the run game both ways, both defense and offensively. But
- 13:31Speaker 3: would you rather have a middle of the pack offense
- 13:33Speaker 3: or a middle of the pack defense and then the
- 13:35Speaker 3: opposite for each side?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Well, I mean, judging by the Super Bowl– We saw
- 13:40Speaker 1: two teams with elite defense and the team with the
- 13:45Speaker 1: better offense win the game. Simple as that.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and that was a boring-ass game. Even the rematch
- 13:51Speaker 3: on Wednesday night, that was terrible as well.
- 13:54Speaker 1: But, yeah, this team can just get to the quarterback, dude.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I think the defense would be a lot better. And
- 14:01Speaker 1: that's the big thing. It's like you need, I mean,
- 14:06Speaker 1: I think training for Max Crosby, Just because that's out there.
- 14:10Speaker 1: It's been out there. If you trade for a Max Crosby,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I think it unlocks Vaughn Miller. It unlocks Rashawn Gary.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I think it unlocks a lot of things because you
- 14:22Speaker 1: got to worry about a guy.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I think right now, offenses are like, we don't have
- 14:27Speaker 1: to worry about this guy. We don't have to worry about.
- 14:29Speaker 3: The only one that has to worry about is 20
- 14:32Speaker 3: Williams in the middle because I did see him a
- 14:34Speaker 3: couple of plays where he got double teamed and got
- 14:36Speaker 3: pushed back 10 yards. And that was because they're not
- 14:39Speaker 3: worried about Rashawn Gary or Kenny Clark.
- 14:41Speaker 1: How often is Quinton and Kenny Clark playing? Because I
- 14:45Speaker 1: saw Quinton come off the field and Kenny Clark come
- 14:47Speaker 1: back on. How often are they playing together? Man, I
- 14:50Speaker 1: don't know. I think the way these teams are running
- 14:54Speaker 1: on them, maybe they should go through a 4-3 front. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Maybe. You think so? But I think it's just the
- 15:02Speaker 3: philosophy of Christian Parker and how he wants the defense.
- 15:06Speaker 3: The 3-4 works better for what he's bringing.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We'll see this weekend when they go to Rio and
- 15:11Speaker 1: face Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Dude, I'm afraid of that, to be honest. I am.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I am.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Because, ah, man, I don't know. Our defense, our defense,
- 15:28Speaker 3: when it comes to, well, yeah, when it comes to
- 15:29Speaker 3: the run, yeah, it's been talking just like offensively as well. Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah that defense man is like i i was they
- 15:42Speaker 1: weren't wrapping up daniels was running free and they they
- 15:49Speaker 1: could have actually if a couple things go the commander's
- 15:53Speaker 1: way we might be talking about them being down in
- 15:56Speaker 1: the first half that's the thing is like daniels had
- 16:00Speaker 1: an overthrow of a wide open uh was it mclaren
- 16:03Speaker 1: yeah yeah wide open overthrow and then uh In the
- 16:08Speaker 1: third quarter, they had the missed flea flicker.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Yeah. So right now, to answer the question, it looks
- 16:19Speaker 3: like they play together about 70% of the time.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Damn, okay, that's even worse.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Because we're getting run on. Yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 3: But because, like I said, I think the only worry
- 16:29Speaker 3: about Quentin Williams and Kenny Clark.
- 16:30Speaker 1: And it started so great, dude. They went three and
- 16:32Speaker 1: out in the first series. And I'm like, okay, three
- 16:35Speaker 1: and out. And then the second series, it all changed,
- 16:38Speaker 1: and Washington was just going up and down.
- 16:40Speaker 3: And another thing with that is Jaden Daniels ran on
- 16:47Speaker 3: you five times. Ran on you five times. I think
- 16:50Speaker 3: he averaged about 10 yards per carry.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Dude, they gave up a third and 17 conversion. Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: A third and 17.
- 16:57Speaker 3: So what was that one play where they had– who
- 16:59Speaker 3: was the one that was– four dudes in the– or
- 17:03Speaker 3: am I– I think I'm mistaken games. I think it
- 17:05Speaker 3: was Texas game or was it? No, it was a
- 17:07Speaker 3: Cowboys game, right? Where they like, there was like four,
- 17:10Speaker 3: four defenders around the, the, the runner, the receiver, whoever
- 17:12Speaker 3: it was. And they couldn't bring him down.
- 17:14Speaker 4: All of them.
- 17:15Speaker 3: It was four of them.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, yeah, it is worrisome, especially because
- 17:21Speaker 3: you were facing probably one of the best ever to
- 17:25Speaker 3: be a dual threat quarterback, which is Lamar Jackson. So,
- 17:29Speaker 3: and people kept saying, I kept hearing that, oh, well,
- 17:34Speaker 3: you know, Derrick Henry, he's getting older. He's still elite.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he's elite.
- 17:41Speaker 3: He's close to breaking Emmitt Smith.
- 17:43Speaker 1: My biggest thing with the Baltimore was that Lamar hasn't
- 17:46Speaker 1: looked good. He didn't look good last year. And they're
- 17:49Speaker 1: coming off a loss to the Saints. He didn't look
- 17:51Speaker 1: good in that game either. So, yeah, I mean, I'm
- 17:54Speaker 1: telling you, there's something there. That's why Harbaugh left because
- 17:57Speaker 1: he's like, he didn't get fired. He left. He's like,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I want out.
- 18:00Speaker 3: But, you know, and I was saying about the running
- 18:03Speaker 3: from Jane Daniels, that tells you that your secondary is
- 18:07Speaker 3: covering well.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Can we not get a quarterback spy?
- 18:11Speaker 3: I think they might have to. They're going to have
- 18:12Speaker 3: to find somebody.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I mean, after two Jane Daniel runs, they didn't tell
- 18:17Speaker 1: you to spy? Because they gave it, what, two more
- 18:21Speaker 1: times to him.
- 18:22Speaker 3: But now with the injuries to the secondary, who are
- 18:26Speaker 3: you going to put up there? you're going to do,
- 18:28Speaker 3: you're going to put Caleb Downs because Caleb Downs only
- 18:31Speaker 3: gave up, what, 11 yards, four catches for 11 yards
- 18:35Speaker 3: while covering. And he's helping the run game as well. So,
- 18:42Speaker 3: I don't know if you're going to, if you're able
- 18:43Speaker 3: to afford to, to be able to keep a spy
- 18:47Speaker 3: on the field from the secondary.
- 18:50Speaker 1: You got to do something, man, because Lamar is going
- 18:52Speaker 1: to take advantage of that.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but the injuries kind of suck though. You know,
- 18:56Speaker 3: PJ Locke has a, ruptured nuts and ruptured nuts. He
- 19:01Speaker 3: tore his plantar fascia.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Dude, Daniels ran it seven times. Seven times for 69
- 19:08Speaker 1: yards and he had a long of 20.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Okay, dang. So this average is 10.
- 19:13Speaker 1: 9.9, yeah.
- 19:14Speaker 3: But yeah, no, it is worrisome that we cannot stop
- 19:20Speaker 3: the run still. And they talked about this whole time.
- 19:24Speaker 3: It was like the Quentin Williams trade. Yes, that was
- 19:26Speaker 3: a great trade. I'm not going to say I'll take
- 19:28Speaker 3: it back. But that was a whole problem. And they
- 19:32Speaker 3: still cannot stop.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They had 182 yards. Washington did. And that was.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Russian.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah. And that was early because, you know, once that
- 19:43Speaker 1: got out of hand, they had to throw the ball.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I mean, we're still looking at that. But the positive is,
- 19:48Speaker 3: that the offense is doing, like you said, this is
- 19:51Speaker 3: the gaudy offense that they keep talking about.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I mean, you unlocked CD. You unlocked Ferguson. You still
- 20:00Speaker 1: haven't unlocked Javante because Javante didn't have a good game.
- 20:04Speaker 2: No.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You haven't unlocked Perkins.
- 20:06Speaker 3: No. Dude, I heard somebody say, I don't know if
- 20:09Speaker 3: it was on Twitter, I don't know where it was,
- 20:12Speaker 3: that Javante Williams spent about 3.5 seconds in the backfield
- 20:19Speaker 3: every time he took a carry. That's crazy, bro.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, he got hit a bunch of times in
- 20:25Speaker 1: the backfield.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It's like, wow. But again, the positive is Dak Prescott
- 20:31Speaker 3: went off, CeeDee Lamb, eight receptions, 153 yards, two TDs.
- 20:37Speaker 3: You had the colonizer. He had a colonizer.
- 20:40Speaker 1: That's what he calls Jake Ferguson because he's of Spanish descent.
- 20:43Speaker 3: George Pickens. He still would show up. But this game,
- 20:47Speaker 3: I think CD lamb, obviously they're good friends or whatever,
- 20:51Speaker 3: but I think this is the one that shows like, Hey,
- 20:53Speaker 3: I'm still number one in this team. This is still
- 20:55Speaker 3: my team. This is still, I'm still the number one
- 20:58Speaker 3: receiver in this team. Obviously, there's going to be games
- 21:01Speaker 3: where George Pickens is going to get most of the
- 21:04Speaker 3: targets or deflections in the yards, touchdowns, whatever you want
- 21:07Speaker 3: to call it. But, yeah, I think it's still CeeDee
- 21:11Speaker 3: Lamb is going to be number one. Another highlight that
- 21:13Speaker 3: I think was good, it was a return game. I
- 21:16Speaker 3: think Kevontae Turpin did a really good job. He was
- 21:19Speaker 3: getting some good runs. He was a couple moves to
- 21:24Speaker 3: get the big one. He looked better. And, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 3: highlights again on the defense is Caleb Downs, man. They
- 21:33Speaker 3: were the two highest-rated, two of the top five highest-rated
- 21:40Speaker 3: rookies in PFF, which, you know, take whatever you want
- 21:46Speaker 3: with PFF, bud. Yeah, they were. Jay Shambaram was 84.8.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Caleb Downs, 75.9. And that's two of the top five,
- 21:56Speaker 3: which is good.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Caleb had some plays where I was like, oh, man,
- 22:01Speaker 1: he looked like a rookie there.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 1: He had a couple where I was like, oh.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Yeah, most definitely. But, man, both of those guys I'm
- 22:11Speaker 3: excited about. I think Malachi Lawrence also had a good game.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I think he can rush the passer, but I think
- 22:16Speaker 3: that he needs to get a lot more snaps. I
- 22:20Speaker 3: think they need to give him more snaps.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Well, overshown. I think he's taking it, man. I think
- 22:25Speaker 1: once Overshawn gets back, he's going to have to be
- 22:26Speaker 1: playing for the second linebacker with Dean Winters. I think
- 22:29Speaker 1: they're going to compete for playing time because I think
- 22:31Speaker 1: Barham showed enough where you're like, we got to stick
- 22:35Speaker 1: with this kid. He's going to get better. Yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 3: And I heard I heard Dave Laufenberg say that he
- 22:42Speaker 3: doesn't think that Overshawn is a he's a middle linebacker
- 22:47Speaker 3: type guy because he's a converter. He converted from safety.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think so either, man. I think he's
- 22:53Speaker 1: the guy that you need on the edge. Yeah. I
- 22:56Speaker 1: never thought that. I mean, there's a reason he didn't
- 22:58Speaker 1: play that at Texas. He was more suited to, you know,
- 23:04Speaker 1: go from the edge and protect that sideline.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you think that... Obviously, I think that he
- 23:11Speaker 3: lost the green dot to me, to Barham. I think
- 23:15Speaker 3: Barham is going to be the middle linebacker from now on.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Probably. I think if... How long is he going to
- 23:21Speaker 1: be out? Is he going to be out three games?
- 23:23Speaker 3: I think maybe three more games.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, if that's the case, then yeah. Overshown, lost
- 23:30Speaker 1: a dot. Barham has it. Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Because I think that's a true middle linebacker. That's the
- 23:34Speaker 3: type of guy that you see. So, yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 1: So one thing that I noticed right away, and I
- 23:42Speaker 1: texted you and you were like, I don't know what
- 23:43Speaker 1: you're talking about. There was no sun at 3.30 game.
- 23:49Speaker 1: And there was no sun on the field. They retinted
- 23:52Speaker 1: the windows.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:54Speaker 1: The glass doors. And it seemed to work.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Is that a fact?
- 23:58Speaker 1: Yeah. They retinted them. Yeah? Yeah, because they were talking about,
- 24:03Speaker 1: because FIFA had the curtains.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Right, yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And FIFA brought their own curtains to make sure. And
- 24:09Speaker 1: then everybody told Jerry, you know, hey, you had a
- 24:12Speaker 1: bunch of games. Because the semifinal was at, what, 2 o'clock? Yeah, yeah. Yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 1: so they were like, you know. now what do you think?
- 24:22Speaker 1: And they were talking about, well, we're going to put
- 24:25Speaker 1: new tint on the windows. We're not going to use curtains.
- 24:27Speaker 1: New tint on the windows. And yeah, it worked. I
- 24:29Speaker 1: didn't see a glare of sun. Did you?
- 24:31Speaker 3: No, I didn't. Not like a usual type. Exactly.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It's 3.30. It was sunny outside. We're like, yeah, there
- 24:37Speaker 1: was no tint, no sun whatsoever.
- 24:40Speaker 3: It wasn't noticeable anyway.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that new tint must have worked.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Where the hell has that been?
- 24:45Speaker 3: It took FIFA to It took the World Cup for
- 24:48Speaker 3: him to realize that that's what.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You know it opened in 2010, right?
- 24:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 1: This damn thing opened in 2010.
- 24:53Speaker 3: There have been plenty of receivers from the Cowboys and
- 24:57Speaker 3: from other teams saying, yeah, that son really fucks with
- 25:00Speaker 3: you and that's what they do.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Took 16 goddamn years.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but as long as he... I wish he would
- 25:05Speaker 3: just realize that he could do real grass just for
- 25:09Speaker 3: the sake of the players because, I mean, the players
- 25:12Speaker 3: just voice that all the time. And speaking of grass,
- 25:16Speaker 3: what about the.
- 25:18Speaker 3: The field issues they have over in Rio.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Man, that's going to be interesting, dude.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Apparently it's a non-factor. They say it's a non-factor. That's
- 25:27Speaker 3: why they have all these NFL staff down there trying
- 25:30Speaker 3: to figure it out. Because they have been getting a
- 25:33Speaker 3: lot of rain down in Rio. But it's going to
- 25:37Speaker 3: be nice weather. 78 supposedly on Sunday. And it's also
- 25:42Speaker 3: not a big time difference. It's only two hours.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, of course. It's on the East.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so I was looking forward. I am kind of
- 25:52Speaker 3: looking forward to that game. I'm nervous, but.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Well, I mean, you come out of there a win.
- 25:59Speaker 1: You come out of there two and one. I think
- 26:02Speaker 1: you've got a good playoff team.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Heading to Houston, which they've been playing like. Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 1: They've been playing bad as well. They've got problems.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, yeah. What's his name? Quarterback. He's struggling. Obviously,
- 26:16Speaker 3: the defense is still really, really good.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Let's get to the NFL, man. Some stuff. I told you.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Jackson Smith and Jigba, man. He rolls that offense, man. Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 1: He's making Drew Locke look like an all-pro.
- 26:29Speaker 3: What do you got? 279 yards?
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yeah. And the first catch, 82-yard touchdown.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I saw that one, yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 3: He's just.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He's that offense with Seattle, man. Yeah, that's crazy, dude.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Maybe it's not Darnold. Maybe it's just having that guy.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I think that's the difference. You have that guy, that
- 26:49Speaker 1: game-breaker that, you know, he controls the offense. And if
- 26:55Speaker 1: Jeremiah Smith is better than JSN, then damn. Okay.
- 27:00Speaker 3: People are calling him the best player in college football.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I mean.
- 27:07Speaker 1: We'll see, but he had a couple injuries, man. Caleb
- 27:11Speaker 1: Williams hurt besides Jaden Daniels.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Caleb Williams got hurt. Apparently, it was just a hammy.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I don't know how long he's going to be out.
- 27:19Speaker 3: I mean, look worse than what they say it is.
- 27:22Speaker 1: By the way, going back to Jaden Daniels, though, how
- 27:25Speaker 1: stupid is Dan Quinn going for it? Take the damn points.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I think.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You take the points, you get points, and you don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: lose your quarterback.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I get it. I get it. I get it.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Just say, you know, take the field goal and kick it.
- 27:39Speaker 1: But you.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I think you were down, what, 17-3 at that time?
- 27:45Speaker 1: No, it was 10. 17-10? Yeah.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but it meant, like, if you... They say it
- 27:49Speaker 3: works out, and that 17-17 all at the halftime, that
- 27:54Speaker 3: changes the... I mean, I think the whole Jaden Daniels
- 27:58Speaker 3: getting hurt changed the whole... game yeah i mean they
- 28:01Speaker 3: did i'm not saying marcus riori actually kind of played
- 28:04Speaker 3: decent yeah but i mean i don't blame dan quinn
- 28:10Speaker 3: for going for it i don't but i think i
- 28:15Speaker 3: think one thing that to me is i don't know
- 28:19Speaker 3: if it's to me but a lot of people have
- 28:21Speaker 3: been talking about on twitter about the way that the
- 28:25Speaker 3: offensive lineman walked out walked off when he got hurt Yes,
- 28:29Speaker 3: there's things that you see.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Nobody was around him, only Mariota came out.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah, when you see that elbow getting numb and stuff
- 28:35Speaker 3: like that, yes.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Brady dropping an S-bomb on live TV. Yeah, he did.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But he also, didn't he, something happened to his ankle first,
- 28:45Speaker 3: and then when he tried to land.
- 28:47Speaker 1: He stepped on the, no, the guard stepped on his leg,
- 28:52Speaker 1: and that's why he stumbled.
- 28:53Speaker 3: And that's when he fell.
- 28:54Speaker 1: And then he tried to brace himself.
- 28:55Speaker 3: And they see that, and they just walk off.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Snap.
- 29:00Speaker 3: And then Tom Brady's just shit.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I'm sorry. He forgot.
- 29:05Speaker 3: That was funny, dude.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Jackson Dart's also hurting. Looks like he's done for the year.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what they say. That was a bad. I
- 29:12Speaker 3: didn't see it live because I think I was just
- 29:14Speaker 3: getting home from work. So I didn't catch like the
- 29:16Speaker 3: first few minutes of the first quarter. And he was
- 29:19Speaker 3: already out by that time. But I saw the replay. Oh,
- 29:22Speaker 3: that was a terrible hit. I mean, it wasn't on
- 29:24Speaker 3: the defender. I think it was just that's football.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yep. A couple of teams are struggling, man. Packers struggled
- 29:34Speaker 1: with the Jets and the Eagles struggled with the Titans.
- 29:37Speaker 1: What was that about?
- 29:37Speaker 3: I was just telling you. you this is a– it's
- 29:42Speaker 3: the– I guess you never know.
- 29:44Speaker 1: The more shocking one to me was the Packers and
- 29:47Speaker 1: the Jets. You think so? Yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Because the Jets are bad or because the Packers are
- 29:51Speaker 3: supposed to be good?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Both. You know, the Packers are supposed to be a
- 29:57Speaker 1: team competing for the North and And the Jets aren't
- 30:00Speaker 1: supposed to be very good. They got Geno Smith back, quarterback.
- 30:03Speaker 1: And they trailed, man. They had to come back and
- 30:06Speaker 1: win that game. The Eagles, I think that's two weeks
- 30:09Speaker 1: in a row. There's something wrong with the Eagles.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Well, I feel like we knew there was going to
- 30:15Speaker 3: be something wrong with the Eagles. And I hate to
- 30:18Speaker 3: admit it, but that winning drive, Jalen Hurst, he looked
- 30:23Speaker 3: very clutch.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of knew that. Once they got to
- 30:28Speaker 1: that point, I'm like, all right, the Eagles are going
- 30:30Speaker 1: to come back and win this. But, man, the practice
- 30:33Speaker 1: to have to force overtime with the Jets. Yeah, man.
- 30:39Speaker 3: That just tells you. I don't know. I think that
- 30:44Speaker 3: the NFC East, and I hope it is, is going
- 30:49Speaker 3: to be like the AL West just so that everybody's batting.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Everybody's batting. Speaking of batting. The NFC South is bad, but, man,
- 30:58Speaker 1: the Panthers might be the team. They're scoring some points.
- 31:03Speaker 1: They just took it to Atlanta. Rang them for 34
- 31:06Speaker 1: points on them.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Who were they?
- 31:08Speaker 1: The Panthers.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Well. And they kept them to three.
- 31:14Speaker 3: They did, yeah. I mean, but Atlanta is bad, though, man.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Michael Penix is starting for them this weekend.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that. Yeah, it's going to be interesting
- 31:34Speaker 3: what they do. Obviously, they just signed B. John. I
- 31:37Speaker 3: don't think B. John is going anywhere because I feel
- 31:39Speaker 3: like that's their whole offense. Drake London is pretty good,
- 31:42Speaker 3: but I don't know if he's going to be enough. So,
- 31:49Speaker 3: I was looking for a– there was a stat that
- 31:52Speaker 3: I saw when you were speaking about the Jets. About
- 31:55Speaker 3: Garrett Wilson.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Catching it from a different.
- 32:00Speaker 3: No, that he hasn't scored at home since like 24, 2024. No, wow.
- 32:07Speaker 1: No shit.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Let me see if I can find it, but that
- 32:12Speaker 3: was the one.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Well, I believe that. He didn't score much at all.
- 32:19Speaker 3: And they're not even playing at home this weekend. They're
- 32:22Speaker 3: playing in Dublin or something like that?
- 32:28Speaker 1: No, that's not the Dublin game yet. Is it? I
- 32:32Speaker 1: don't think it is. I think Brazil is the only...
- 32:39Speaker 1: Brazil is the only... The NFL Rio game, yeah. Let's see. No, that's...
- 32:48Speaker 1: I believe that's... Colts-Commanders NFL London game on Sunday on
- 32:53Speaker 1: week four. Eagles-Jaguars London game in week five. Texans-Jaguars London
- 33:02Speaker 1: game week six. Yeah. We got a Paris game, Steelers-Saints
- 33:08Speaker 1: in week seven. Yeah. Yeah, I don't see a Dublin game.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Got the Madrid game, Bengals and Falcons week nine. Patriots, Lions,
- 33:22Speaker 1: Week 10 in Munich. Yeah, and then Week 11, the
- 33:28Speaker 1: Mexico City game. Yeah, next week is just the Cowboys-Ravens.
- 33:33Speaker 1: They're the, what do you call the game? The abroad game.
- 33:42Speaker 1: The expansion game, the worldwide game. They're calling it the
- 33:45Speaker 1: NFL Rio game.
- 33:48Speaker 3: But that's a Cowboys game. That's a Cowboys home game.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I wonder how they got Jerry to do that finally.
- 33:55Speaker 3: So before he scored against the Packers, he hadn't scored
- 33:59Speaker 3: since the 2025 season opener at home on September 7, 2025.
- 34:03Speaker 3: And he hadn't scored. And going back before that, it
- 34:09Speaker 3: was the 2024 season. His last home game, September 19, 2024.
- 34:18Speaker 3: That's how I saw this thing, and it was like,
- 34:21Speaker 3: That's how these things, and it was Juan Soto signing
- 34:25Speaker 3: with the Mets and all this other stuff that happened
- 34:27Speaker 3: before he even scored at home, which is crazy. That's
- 34:32Speaker 3: how bad the Jets are.
- 34:34Speaker 1: If you look at the AFC West standings, bro, Chargers 0-2,
- 34:40Speaker 1: Broncos 1-1, Chiefs 2-0, and the Raiders are 2-0.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so that was going to be one of my
- 34:47Speaker 3: points that you said about Max Crosby.
- 34:52Speaker 1: They're winning, man.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, at what point.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Do you want them to just keep losing? I don't
- 34:58Speaker 3: know what their schedule looks like, but.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I mean, they beat the Chargers. That's the thing, is
- 35:04Speaker 1: they beat the Chargers. They beat a division foe.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Right, yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And they did it pretty easily, too. They did. Yeah. Man,
- 35:10Speaker 1: what's going on with the Chargers and Harbaugh and Herbert?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Wasn't there something like, it just looks better or something
- 35:18Speaker 3: like that? With that.
- 35:24Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Cousins?
- 35:27Speaker 3: No, no, no, no. For the Chargers running back.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Oh, Jenty? Oh, Hampton, you mean?
- 35:33Speaker 3: No, the quarterback.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Oh, Herbert?
- 35:37Speaker 3: There was some sort of audio about like, it just
- 35:39Speaker 3: looks better. Oh, dang. They just won the division. So, well,
- 35:44Speaker 3: all right. So, we're looking for the Raiders. So, they had.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Chargers, Dolphins... They play the Saints, which I think that's
- 35:55Speaker 3: a loss. Chiefs, Patriots, I think those are losses. Bills, Rams.
- 36:03Speaker 3: At this point, they're 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- 36:07Speaker 3: To me, that looks like they'll be 5-2 by October 25th.
- 36:14Speaker 3: And they play the Jets. That's a 50-50. Then the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I think by October, by November, I think they'll be
- 36:25Speaker 3: ready to sell. And let's not forget.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Well, let's hope they don't keep winning because if they
- 36:31Speaker 1: keep winning, he ain't going nowhere.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Well, let's not forget what Jerry Jones said. There ain't
- 36:36Speaker 3: nothing more dangerous than an old man with money.
- 36:39Speaker 1: That's hilarious. Let's get to some college football talk as
- 36:46Speaker 1: we had a couple of really good games. One big upset.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Down in College Station. Oh my God. Bobby, I hope
- 36:53Speaker 1: you're not listening to this because we're about to tell
- 36:57Speaker 1: the truth and the Texas A & M Aggies gets
- 37:02Speaker 1: trounced in their own backyard against the Kentucky Wildcats in football.
- 37:10Speaker 1: In football. We're not talking about basketball. We're talking about football.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Kentucky beat Texas A & M and absolutely outclassed them,
- 37:19Speaker 1: outclassed They were out-coached. They out-physicaled him. Yeah.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Everything.
- 37:25Speaker 1: And for all those people who were saying that, oh,
- 37:28Speaker 1: Marcel Reed's going to take a step. He's going to
- 37:31Speaker 1: take a step. Yeah, you might want to start thinking
- 37:35Speaker 1: about who's the next guy because Marcel Reed ain't it, man.
- 37:40Speaker 1: He ain't it.
- 37:40Speaker 3: No, I don't think anybody's scared of him.
- 37:45Speaker 1: He can run all he wants. He cannot throw... worth
- 37:48Speaker 1: of damn they got a new offensive coordinator and so
- 37:54Speaker 1: my buddy AJ he was at the Texas Tech Houston
- 37:58Speaker 1: game which Tech barely survived we'll get into that in
- 38:03Speaker 1: a little bit but yeah he I was texting him
- 38:10Speaker 1: and he was at the game and he got out
- 38:11Speaker 1: of the game and he goes yeah he goes I'm
- 38:14Speaker 1: just worried about Arizona State now He goes, because I
- 38:18Speaker 1: think Arizona State, he said, might play us really well
- 38:24Speaker 1: because they played A & M really tough in the
- 38:26Speaker 1: first half. And I said, bro, I said, A &
- 38:29Speaker 1: M is going to lose four games. I told him
- 38:31Speaker 1: straight up. They're going to lose four games, watch. And
- 38:34Speaker 1: he goes, no, man. He goes, they're not losing four games.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I said, you watch.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Okay, so we already have Kansas. I mean, Kentucky. Kentucky.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Kentucky.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Texas.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Texas. They're playing. I think they lose to LSU.
- 38:46Speaker 1: It's at LSU.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Is it at the Swamp? Not at the Swamp. Death Valley?
- 38:49Speaker 1: Death Valley, yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Sorry, Florida Gators.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 38:53Speaker 1: They've got a couple teams that it looked like they
- 38:56Speaker 1: might lose to, but yeah. I said four losses because
- 39:00Speaker 1: that first game against Missouri State, they were 12 to nothing.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Pretty much in the, and you remember how last year
- 39:09Speaker 1: when we struggled against UTSA. We struggled against San Jose State.
- 39:16Speaker 1: We were winning, but we weren't winning the way we
- 39:18Speaker 1: were supposed to. The Longhorns. And everybody's saying, oh, see,
- 39:22Speaker 1: same thing here. If you're playing to the lesser teams,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and even though Marcel Reed struggled against Arizona State, he
- 39:29Speaker 1: got lucky He got a couple of pick sixes from
- 39:33Speaker 1: the defense. Right. But, yeah, dude, that defense got pushed around.
- 39:39Speaker 1: They couldn't stop Kentucky.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and let's not not give– Kentucky, you know, the credit. Oh, no.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Kentucky went in and whooped their ass. They played well
- 39:52Speaker 3: against Alabama. I mean, that second half against Alabama, they
- 39:55Speaker 3: just shit the bed. I'll be honest. That's what they did.
- 39:59Speaker 3: And on this one, second half, three touchdowns. Boom, boom, boom.
- 40:05Speaker 3: And A & M could not move the ball. I mean,
- 40:08Speaker 3: they looked bad. They looked really, really bad. And shout
- 40:12Speaker 3: out to the coach for Kentucky, man. He's 34 years old.
- 40:18Speaker 3: I think it was his first head coaching job, but
- 40:22Speaker 3: he went straight from high school to head coach in college,
- 40:27Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 40:28Speaker 1: No, he was the offensive coordinator for Oregon.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm saying he went.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah, he was a.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Will Stein, yeah. 34 years old?
- 40:38Speaker 1: Yeah. He's actually a Texas high school football coach.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so, I mean, they did really well. And they've
- 40:45Speaker 3: been playing well, so we'll see what they bring. But, yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 3: this is....
- 40:52Speaker 1: Big problems down there in College Station, man.
- 40:54Speaker 3: He also, he was a coach, assistant coach at Louisville, UT,
- 41:01Speaker 3: Lake Travis High School, UTSA, and Oregon. And he was
- 41:08Speaker 3: a walk-on at Louisville. So, yeah, I mean, look out
- 41:13Speaker 3: for Kentucky. We'll see what they go after this. And
- 41:18Speaker 3: you know who looked well? I mean, really good was C.J. Baxter.
- 41:23Speaker 1: C.J. Baxter, yeah.
- 41:24Speaker 3: He had a good hell of a game.
- 41:24Speaker 1: He had two touchdowns, man.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Transferred from Texas, which is good for him, you know.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he said he was on with Shannon Sharp and
- 41:34Speaker 1: Ocho Cinco in that cap, and he said that, I
- 41:36Speaker 1: just needed a change from Texas, man. I just needed
- 41:38Speaker 1: a change. He goes, I know he'll will, but He said,
- 41:41Speaker 1: I just needed a change. I was hurt. I just
- 41:44Speaker 1: needed a fresh start.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah, take note, Parker Livingston.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Let's get to that, man. Oklahoma barely beat Mexico State.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Barely.
- 41:55Speaker 1: 14-6. They got problems, too, at quarterback. Mateer had two
- 41:59Speaker 1: long bombs, but that's it. That's it.
- 42:03Speaker 3: He didn't get hurt. I thought he got hurt for
- 42:05Speaker 3: some reason.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And apparently the... The people, the fans were yelling at him.
- 42:13Speaker 1: He heard a loud roar, and he said, yeah, because
- 42:15Speaker 1: I heard the loud roar, and I guess that means
- 42:16Speaker 1: I missed somebody wide open. Wow.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, my God. They have a problem, too, which
- 42:26Speaker 3: is good for Texas. So do whatever. I don't even– yeah.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that game doesn't concern me right now.
- 42:34Speaker 3: I mean, just because you have– Jason Witten is your
- 42:38Speaker 3: tight end coach. That doesn't mean shit.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Let's get to the big game, man. Ole Miss, LSU.
- 42:48Speaker 1: What a game, man. Ole Miss came out firing. It
- 42:51Speaker 1: looked like Lane Kiffin was either in a Snickers commercial
- 42:54Speaker 1: or an old Southwest Airlines want to get away commercial. Yeah, yeah.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Because he looked happy and unhappy, and then they tied
- 43:01Speaker 1: it up, but then Ole Miss came back, and then
- 43:04Speaker 1: finally– Interception and game over.
- 43:08Speaker 3: That was that one picture. I forgot who the player
- 43:11Speaker 3: is that was pointing at him. Pointing at him, yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 3: I kept going between Texas game and LSU. At first,
- 43:21Speaker 3: neither team could move the ball, but then I think
- 43:23Speaker 3: Ole Miss just turned it up and started scoring. I
- 43:28Speaker 3: thought it was going to be a blowout.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It kind of changed when Chambliss threw the interception. When
- 43:33Speaker 1: he got nailed and threw the interception, that's when it changed.
- 43:35Speaker 1: And then they got stopped. They got a three and out,
- 43:38Speaker 1: I believe. And then after that, LSU tied the game up.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a good game to watch.
- 43:45Speaker 1: What did you think of his postgame presser, Lane Kiffin,
- 43:49Speaker 1: saying that, well, I guess I had to leave.
- 43:51Speaker 3: I had to leave to show up an hour to
- 43:53Speaker 3: the stadium. I was like, oh, you're such a fucking douchebag, bro. Like,
- 43:57Speaker 3: come on, man. I get it. Yes. Mm-hmm. you built
- 44:01Speaker 3: that program. I mean, the five years he was there, he, he,
- 44:04Speaker 3: he was the one that built this program and got
- 44:07Speaker 3: them to where they are now. But man, be humble, man.
- 44:11Speaker 3: You left, you left them before the playoff game and
- 44:14Speaker 3: you decided to go to LSU and just be humble.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Just like, Hey man, you know, I did what I
- 44:18Speaker 3: did here and that's it. And let's move on. We
- 44:21Speaker 3: lost whatever. Now he had to, he had to throw
- 44:24Speaker 3: some dirt on them. Yeah.
- 44:26Speaker 1: That's a classless thing. I saw that. I was like,
- 44:29Speaker 1: really bro. Just take the L. That's all you got
- 44:32Speaker 1: to do, man, is take the L. Yeah. Take the
- 44:34Speaker 1: L and forget about it. Just say, hey, you know,
- 44:37Speaker 1: I enjoyed my time here. I don't regret leaving, but,
- 44:40Speaker 1: you know, it is what it is. He really wants
- 44:43Speaker 1: to be the villain, man.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he does.
- 44:46Speaker 1: He wants to be the villain. There's just no way
- 44:49Speaker 1: around it. He wants to be the villain. So let's
- 44:51Speaker 1: look at this weekend. We have six top 25 matchups.
- 44:58Speaker 3: SEC not just top 25 SEC.
- 45:01Speaker 1: No no no we got well we got Iowa we
- 45:05Speaker 1: got four four top SEC but it's six with Iowa
- 45:10Speaker 1: Michigan and Oregon USC so we got Texas Tennessee one
- 45:15Speaker 1: versus 14 that's at 11 o'clock our time Ole Miss
- 45:20Speaker 1: Florida 2.30 our time Ole Miss Florida 2.30 our time
- 45:24Speaker 1: Iowa Michigan 6.30 our time, Texas A & M LSU.
- 45:28Speaker 1: That's going to be the ABC game. Oregon, USC, and
- 45:34Speaker 1: then at 6.45 our time, Missouri, Mississippi State. And Knoxville,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I'm surprised it's not a night game. If it was
- 45:44Speaker 1: a night game, I'd be a little bit worried about Texas,
- 45:47Speaker 1: but I'm really confident. I think we're going to go
- 45:50Speaker 1: in there. I mean, everybody's talking about, well, you know,
- 45:52Speaker 1: they coasted against UTSA. Well, yeah, they coasted. It It
- 45:56Speaker 1: was okay. It didn't matter. I mean, I think UTSA
- 45:59Speaker 1: was throwing some blitzes at Arch.
- 46:01Speaker 3: They did, for sure.
- 46:02Speaker 1: And Arch had some happy feet because of it, and
- 46:05Speaker 1: it was missing some throws. But, yeah, I think it'll
- 46:08Speaker 1: be all right.
- 46:09Speaker 3: That was a little bit of a hangover game, I
- 46:12Speaker 3: feel like. After beating Ohio State, I think they just
- 46:14Speaker 3: went in there and was like, let's just try to
- 46:16Speaker 3: get this win. I would have loved for them to
- 46:20Speaker 3: win 50-7 or whatever, but they just did what they did.
- 46:25Speaker 3: They won the game. They're still number one at the
- 46:28Speaker 3: end of the day.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the defense didn't let them do much. The defense
- 46:33Speaker 1: looked pretty good, which I'm glad about that. But, yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 1: you got to make sure on these blitzes that you
- 46:40Speaker 1: shore it up because Arch can't be getting hit, you know.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for sure. You don't want them to get hurt.
- 46:47Speaker 3: But Cam Coleman had a good game. And to me,
- 46:52Speaker 3: of those six ranked matchups, I think Oregon is the
- 46:58Speaker 3: one that has the most pressure on them. They have
- 47:01Speaker 3: to win this game. I saw some people giving them
- 47:05Speaker 3: crap about being able to score 84 points against Portland State,
- 47:10Speaker 3: but they came in from big losses. They needed to.
- 47:13Speaker 3: And it's not like they did it only with one quarterback.
- 47:17Speaker 3: They had four quarterbacks play in that game that scored
- 47:19Speaker 3: 84 points. It was just like, oh, let's just throw
- 47:21Speaker 3: our number one just to win this game. They just
- 47:23Speaker 3: won it. But if Oregon is going to have to
- 47:26Speaker 3: climb back in the top 10, or not even the
- 47:28Speaker 3: top 10, it's just the football playoff, they're going to
- 47:32Speaker 3: need to win out. They're going to have to run
- 47:34Speaker 3: the table. They have to beat USC.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they have to beat USC. The LSU A &
- 47:40Speaker 1: M game, That game right there is a basically who's
- 47:46Speaker 1: going to the playoffs, who's going to stay in contention
- 47:49Speaker 1: for the playoff, and who's going to be out. Because,
- 47:53Speaker 1: like I said, I think A & M is going
- 47:54Speaker 1: to lose four games. They just lost one. I think
- 47:58Speaker 1: they're going to lose this weekend, and I think they're
- 48:00Speaker 1: going to be out. I think they're going to have
- 48:02Speaker 1: to run the table, and I don't see them doing that.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, not on the SEC. No. No, I think they're
- 48:07Speaker 3: out if they lose. But it should be a good one, man.
- 48:11Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know what I'm going to do.
- 48:14Speaker 3: I'm going to have to do the multi-view on the
- 48:16Speaker 3: YouTube because at the same time, Oregon and.
- 48:24Speaker 1: What game is that? What is that on? Is that
- 48:26Speaker 1: on NBC?
- 48:27Speaker 3: Which one? Oregon. Oregon. That's probably going to be ESPN.
- 48:31Speaker 1: No, they have the Big Ten. The Big Ten is
- 48:34Speaker 1: normally on NBC. The Big Ten? Yeah.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Okay, so Texas A & M and LSU or what? ABC.
- 48:39Speaker 1: That's the ABC game.
- 48:40Speaker 3: Okay, so then there you go.
- 48:42Speaker 1: That's the ABC game, but ABC, ESPN doesn't put it
- 48:45Speaker 1: on what.
- 48:48Speaker 3: But even shortly after that, the Mizzou.
- 48:50Speaker 1: The Iowa-Michigan game is probably on CBS because they have
- 48:52Speaker 1: the Big Ten game at 2.30. So I'm guessing the
- 48:57Speaker 1: Oregon-USA game is an NBC game, a Channel 5 game.
- 49:02Speaker 3: What about that Ole Miss-Florida? That's ESPN?
- 49:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they're all ESPN. The SEC games are all ESPN
- 49:09Speaker 1: and SEC Network. So, yeah.
- 49:12Speaker 3: It's going to be a good weekend of college football, man.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be a really good weekend of college
- 49:16Speaker 1: football i believe but uh how are you feeling about texas.
- 49:22Speaker 3: I think they need to go up there and uh
- 49:25Speaker 3: do a not just even if they barely win is
- 49:30Speaker 3: they gotta be it's gotta be i don't know man
- 49:34Speaker 3: it's good I don't want to say they want to
- 49:37Speaker 3: go up there. They've got to be dominant. They've got
- 49:39Speaker 3: to be dominant on the face of the game, whether
- 49:41Speaker 3: it be defense or offense, and win that game. They
- 49:45Speaker 3: have to win that game. I say that they have to.
- 49:49Speaker 3: Maybe they don't have to, but in my eyes, they
- 49:51Speaker 3: do have to. Go beat Tennessee and Knoxville and show
- 49:56Speaker 3: why you're the number one team in the country.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Like I said, SEC road games, any road game
- 50:02Speaker 1: in college– Terrifies you a little bit because you know
- 50:06Speaker 1: the hostile environment. If you can go in and get
- 50:08Speaker 1: a win, man, that's a huge, huge confidence builder.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for sure. And I think that'll help confidence
- 50:16Speaker 3: of Arch Manning and the whole team. They're just going
- 50:20Speaker 3: to be, they got to win. They got to win.
- 50:23Speaker 3: I hit it and quit it.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Then I move on to the next. And with the next,
- 50:31Speaker 4: I hit it and quit it. And what do I
- 50:34Speaker 4: do with the next one? I hit it and quit it.
- 50:38Speaker 1: I want you to hit it.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Hit it and quit it.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I want you to hit it.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Time for a little hit it and quit it. As
- 50:55Speaker 1: we look at the Texas Rangers, man. As we sit
- 51:00Speaker 1: right now, they are one game up, but they are
- 51:03Speaker 1: losing at the point right now, 6-3. The Astros in
- 51:08Speaker 1: the bottom of the second are up 1-0 on the Mariners.
- 51:11Speaker 1: One game up, dude. Six games left as of now.
- 51:15Speaker 1: We don't know how these will end, but that's crazy, bro.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, they got to go, what, 3-3 at least?
- 51:24Speaker 3: In the last 16?
- 51:25Speaker 1: I say four and two.
- 51:26Speaker 3: I think if you go four and two. Do they
- 51:28Speaker 3: have the tiebreaker?
- 51:29Speaker 1: No, Astros have the tiebreaker. So if you end up tied,
- 51:32Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. I think you need to go
- 51:33Speaker 1: four and two. And even if the Astros go four
- 51:38Speaker 1: and two, you win out. But, you know, it's right
- 51:46Speaker 1: now they're losing six to three, top of the eighth.
- 51:52Speaker 1: depending on how Houston does with Seattle, I mean, it
- 51:56Speaker 1: looks like the Rangers are going to lose at 6-3.
- 52:00Speaker 1: If it was like maybe 6-5, I'd say, okay, maybe
- 52:03Speaker 1: a chance, but 6-3, they're going to lose. But, man,
- 52:05Speaker 1: just the fact that— It's the Mets, dude. It's the Mets,
- 52:08Speaker 1: but the Mets have been playing really good in September.
- 52:10Speaker 1: They've been averaging five runs at least. So, yeah, their
- 52:14Speaker 1: offense has figured it out now that they're out.
- 52:17Speaker 3: I mean, but if this was in the last six
- 52:19Speaker 3: games or the last two weeks of the season, you
- 52:22Speaker 3: would never say... I don't think you could say, oh,
- 52:24Speaker 3: they figured it out because I think they're going to
- 52:26Speaker 3: go and shit the bed anyway like they've done all
- 52:28Speaker 3: season after signing Juan Soto and spending all this money.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I just hate the Mets, bud. I just hate the Mets. Yeah.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I think.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to go four and two, right? Four
- 52:38Speaker 3: and two and win the division. What's a wild card
- 52:42Speaker 3: looking like?
- 52:44Speaker 1: It is.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Yankees, Red Sox, and White Sox. White Sox have, I believe,
- 52:49Speaker 1: a three-cushion lead.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Three-game lead.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Three-game lead on everybody. So they're pretty much got it.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Unless something catastrophic happens to them, but they've pretty much
- 52:58Speaker 1: got it. Yeah, this is a division now. It's come
- 53:00Speaker 1: down to this. I told you, man, they had to
- 53:05Speaker 1: go six and four at least, I would say, in
- 53:09Speaker 1: the last ten. Well, they went two and two since
- 53:14Speaker 1: I said that. And the Astros went 1-3. They won
- 53:18Speaker 1: the last game in Kansas City. But then they got
- 53:20Speaker 1: swept by the Braves. Yeah. So, I really, dude, I
- 53:25Speaker 1: really wanted that Sunday game for the Rangers. But the
- 53:29Speaker 1: bullpen just could not hold it. And, bam, just the
- 53:32Speaker 1: floodgates opened. I was like, well, good thing. I really
- 53:35Speaker 1: wanted a two-game lead. If you would have had a
- 53:38Speaker 1: two-game lead going into the last six, I think.
- 53:41Speaker 3: You'd be sitting pretty. I think you should because, like
- 53:44Speaker 3: we've been saying it, For a while now, I don't
- 53:46Speaker 3: think anybody wants to win this. I don't think the
- 53:48Speaker 3: Astros want to win this. They just keep giving it up.
- 53:50Speaker 3: I mean, they're going to.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Whoever wins the division is going to be, what, 500
- 53:56Speaker 3: or a game under 500? Which is kind of weird.
- 54:00Speaker 3: But you know who has it worse is the NL wildcard, dude.
- 54:08Speaker 3: In the NL, you got the Dodgers. You got the Brewers.
- 54:13Speaker 3: And you got the Braves, right?
- 54:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:15Speaker 3: So the wild card is Phillies and the Padres. So
- 54:19Speaker 3: whoever gets a two seed, or the one seed actually, no,
- 54:25Speaker 3: the two seed, they play the Phillies. And then if
- 54:28Speaker 3: they win, they're going to play the Dodgers right after that,
- 54:30Speaker 3: which is crazy. It's going to be a fun last
- 54:34Speaker 3: week of baseball, and I'm here for it. My Yankees already,
- 54:38Speaker 3: they lost the division. Just hold on to the wild card,
- 54:42Speaker 3: which they should. even though Aaron Judge is probably going
- 54:46Speaker 3: to miss the wild card round.
- 54:50Speaker 1: So there's a little bit of baseball as well, dealing
- 54:53Speaker 1: with the umpires. You know, the umpires this year had
- 54:55Speaker 1: to deal with the ABS system, the automated balls and
- 55:00Speaker 1: strike system. And some of them, you know, have already
- 55:05Speaker 1: put in their papers saying they're retiring at the end
- 55:07Speaker 1: of the year. Laz Diaz and C.B. Buckner are one
- 55:11Speaker 1: of them. And Laz Diaz says, There's too much negativity
- 55:16Speaker 1: toward umpires right now. Here's this quote via Bob Nightingale,
- 55:20Speaker 1: USA Today. There's so much scrutiny now. We don't get
- 55:23Speaker 1: the recognition like with Angel Hernandez and C.B.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Bugner.
- 55:27Speaker 1: They got so much criticism, and they're great umpires. Everything
- 55:31Speaker 1: is so black and white now, you can't manage the game.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Black and white, that's the whole point of balls and strikes,
- 55:39Speaker 1: outs and no outs. It is black and white.
- 55:43Speaker 3: It should be.
- 55:43Speaker 1: It should have been. It's a yes or no. It's
- 55:46Speaker 1: not a maybe. No, it's a yes or no. And
- 55:50Speaker 1: the fact that he said, the fact that he even
- 55:52Speaker 1: said Angel Hernandez is a great umpire.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, he called the two, him and the
- 55:59Speaker 3: other two, the three worst umpires that I remember seeing. So, yeah, dude.
- 56:07Speaker 3: And I've been saying this since, oh, now you don't
- 56:10Speaker 3: like it that the players show you up.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Or that you could see that the fans know and
- 56:14Speaker 1: the fans get to see you being wrong when they
- 56:17Speaker 1: know you're wrong.
- 56:18Speaker 3: And before nobody could do that because it was like, oh,
- 56:21Speaker 3: we saw it on TV, but nobody saw it at
- 56:23Speaker 3: the stadium. They might see the replay or whatever on
- 56:27Speaker 3: the screen. But, yeah, dude, just shut up. Retire. Get
- 56:31Speaker 3: out of here. That's good. Let's move on.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Yeah, bro. Honestly, I'm like, come on, man. You got
- 56:38Speaker 1: to realize that. Your job is, yes, it's under scrutiny
- 56:44Speaker 1: because we can tell if you're wrong or right. And
- 56:47Speaker 1: when you're wrong, you won't accept that you're wrong. Right.
- 56:51Speaker 1: And you won't even talk to the press when you're wrong.
- 56:54Speaker 1: The only umpire I ever remember is saying, talking to
- 57:00Speaker 1: the press after he made a huge blunder was Jim
- 57:02Speaker 1: Joyce when he did the Andres Galarraga.
- 57:06Speaker 3: The perfect game that wasn't?
- 57:08Speaker 1: Armando Galarraga, my bad. Armando Galarraga game and In the
- 57:12Speaker 1: last out, that wasn't even close, the guy, the runner
- 57:17Speaker 1: was a good foot off the bag, and you called
- 57:19Speaker 1: him safe. There was no replay back then, and you
- 57:22Speaker 1: cost the guy the perfect game. And then you cried
- 57:24Speaker 1: about it, like, oh, man, I just crossed this kid.
- 57:27Speaker 1: That's the only time I remember. Angel Hernandez has never.
- 57:30Speaker 3: No, they always stood on their business.
- 57:34Speaker 1: And they wouldn't even talk about it.
- 57:37Speaker 3: And that's one thing I've always loved about baseball is
- 57:40Speaker 3: that you know, the human element to it. But now
- 57:43Speaker 3: with the technology that we have to be able to
- 57:45Speaker 3: do that and you can't, now you cannot call somebody
- 57:52Speaker 3: like a perfect game or a perfect game in reverse
- 57:55Speaker 3: from a pitcher. You know, you call a ball strike
- 57:58Speaker 3: or something like that. Now they lost a perfect game.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Now you can't do that. And I love that now
- 58:03Speaker 3: because it's like, okay, now we're going to call it right. Which,
- 58:06Speaker 3: like I said, you know, now I'm going back to
- 58:08Speaker 3: my argument about the human element and all that stuff.
- 58:11Speaker 3: But I think it needed to be done.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:13Speaker 3: I think I've grown up and I realized that, yeah,
- 58:16Speaker 3: it needed to be done.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Yeah. The human element.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Humans make mistakes. And in this sport, in sports, when
- 58:26Speaker 1: you make mistakes, you cost people money.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:28Speaker 1: You cost people things. You cost them championships at times.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Well, especially in this era now with the betting and
- 58:36Speaker 3: how much money is on these type of games.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:39Speaker 3: Come on man you gotta do something about it because
- 58:41Speaker 3: they they're the ones putting money into all this yeah
- 58:44Speaker 3: so yeah i'm glad it happened and he can go
- 58:48Speaker 3: and retire and enjoy your life i'm sure you made
- 58:50Speaker 3: a lot of money so just leave it alone.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Yeah uh just the umpires these days now they're like
- 58:57Speaker 1: oh we're i don't like 40 000 people cheering that
- 59:00Speaker 1: i'm wrong.
- 59:01Speaker 3: I'm like dude you're an umpire shut up you're wrong
- 59:03Speaker 3: yeah You're not man i'm a child make it 300
- 59:06Speaker 3: million dollars a.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Year you think these baseball players want to hear people
- 59:11Speaker 1: uh uh boo after they had a forced strikeout night
- 59:15Speaker 1: right no but it's part of the territory yeah it
- 59:17Speaker 1: is what you know they're paying their money to see
- 59:19Speaker 1: the game and they didn't come to see an um
- 59:21Speaker 1: show yeah They came to see the players. They came
- 59:24Speaker 1: to see the game.
- 59:25Speaker 3: They came to see the players perform, not you arguing
- 59:29Speaker 3: with somebody. Just call the game, and if you're wrong,
- 59:32Speaker 3: you're wrong. Just say, I was wrong, and that was it.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it. Just say it like that. So, man,
- 59:46Speaker 1: let's talk about the playoffs real quick. Who do you
- 59:49Speaker 1: think is going? Because by the time we get there,
- 59:52Speaker 1: next week, it's, uh, Oh, you talking about, yeah. Like,
- 59:57Speaker 1: cause we're, by the time we record next week, we're
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: going to know who's in the, who's in and who's, uh,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: who's going and what our picks are going to.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: Be.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Are the Dodgers that hurt that they're not, is baseball going,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: is baseball not going to get what they want and
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: the Dodgers winning at all so they can say, Hey, we, we, it,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: it happened.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: I mean, I hope they don't, but that's just me
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: being the Dodger hater. But, I mean, right now, earlier
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: you heard me say the Rays just won the division.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: So the AL East, the Yankees are in. They're not
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: going to lose the wild card with, what, six games
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: to go. The Red Sox are in. Guardians are winning.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: And the AL is going to be Rays, Guardians, Rangers, Astros,
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: depending on who wins the division. And then wild cards
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: are going to be Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox. That's it.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: The only one that's still up for grabs is the
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: AL West, and that's it. Now, the National League, as
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: I was saying earlier, it's Braves, Brewers, Dodgers, with the Padres.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Can the Brewers finally do it? Can they jump over
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the hump? Can they get over that hump?
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: You know what?
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Can they get to a seven-game series with the Dodgers?
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: I think I will be speaking a little bit out
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: of my reach because I don't watch that many Brewer games. Obviously,
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: I'm a sports fan, and I hear how good they are.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: We've seen them for years, man, make the playoffs, and
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: then they fizzle out in the playoffs. It reminds me
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: a lot of the 2000 Moneyball Oakland A's where they
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: get there and then they just cannot win. They can
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: never get– I think they got once to an American
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: League championship series. I think that's it. But they could
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: never win the big one. They could never win it.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: They could never go to the World Series. And it
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: seems like the Brewers are the same way.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Well, they haven't even– they've clinched a division, but they
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: haven't won the best record. Only right now it just
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: happened that Tampa Bay Rays won the best record in
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: the American League. They already clinched that.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Dodgers are, what, two games behind them? Yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: So that's it. That's what's holding it up. But, yeah,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I think they'll end up getting it.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: I mean, so then– so we got AL, Tampa Bay,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: Cleveland– And right now it's Texas, the top three division leaders.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Then the three wild cards are going to be New York, Boston.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: New York has a nine-game lead on that. So they're
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: not losing that. Boston has a three-game lead. They're three
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: games ahead of the White Sox. And Houston is half
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: a game right now from the White Sox. Or three
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: and a half games.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Yeah, three and a half games. Yeah, three and a half.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: You can pencil the White Sox in. They're not going
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: to get out.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: Right now, basically the only playoff spot that's open is
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: the AL West champion. That's it. That's the only one
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: that's open. So you tell me, I mean, in the AL,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: it's going to be Boston, New York in the wild
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: card on Tuesday, and then the winner of the AL West, Texas,
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: Houston against the White Sox. So that's that one.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Man, I'm going to say Milwaukee finally gets in the hump.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I think Dodgers are– there's something wrong with the Dodgers
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: this year. It's like I think they've played too many
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: games that they're just breaking down. I mean, I see
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Otani's being activated on Wednesday.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Yeah. But he's only hitting, obviously.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah. And, I mean, do they really need pitching? I mean,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: they got enough pitching. They got screwball, for God's sakes.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Oh, okay. You know what? I got confused a little bit. So, yeah,
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: the top two division winners get the bye.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the top two division winners get the bye.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: So that's probably going to be.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Ooh, update in Houston and Seattle. Houston's up 4-0. So
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: it looks like they're going to be tied, and Houston's
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: going to be up with the tiebreaker. Yeah. So we'll see.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: It'll come down to the last five games.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: So let's say the season ends right now. Boston, New
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: York are locked for the wild card, and then Texas,
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: White Sox.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Well, if it ends right now, if it ends the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: way this game's going, it's Houston.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Houston and the White Sox. Okay.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: And then in the National League, Milwaukee and Dodgers get
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: to buy. And then Atlanta will go to Philly and
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Chicago and San Diego. I'm more intrigued about the National League.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: I am intrigued. I think the Cubs have it in
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: them to go out there and make some noise. I
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: don't trust the Phillies. And San Diego just has this,
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: they have a way to lock down games. Once they've
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: got a lead, I don't think, it's kind of hard
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: to lose it. And they have a good bullpen. So
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: I am just, yeah.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Man, I'm going to say it's going to be the
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: lowest rated World Series ever. Tampa and Milwaukee.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: That would be terrible. I'm still watching, but. That would
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: be terrible. I don't know, man.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: I don't know. So you're saying Milwaukee is going to
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: run through?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I think they're finally going to get over the hump, man.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I think they got the guy. They got the pitcher
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to do it. All right. Can they put together the runs, man,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: to get it? But, yeah. They need to. If they don't,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I don't know how. I mean, it helps baseball if
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Milwaukee doesn't go, if Tampa doesn't go.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: It gives me hope.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: If it's... If it's Yankees or Boston against the Dodgers
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: in the World Series, it helps baseball's cause for a
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: salary cap. But, yeah, who do you got? Yankees?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: In the World Series? No, not– it all depends on–
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: because if George is not going to play in the
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: wild card, yeah, they've been holding it down ever since
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: he went down in July. They actually stayed right there
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: and they've, you know, did whatever they had to do
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: to stay, to stay relevant, especially in the American League
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: East win the Red Sox. They sucked for a while,
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: and then they came back, and they have a winning
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: record now. There's six games. The Yankees are six games
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: behind the Rays, and there's no way they can catch
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: them up. They're already clinched. But I think it all
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: depends if the Yankees can get out of the wild
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: card without Judge. I think they'll get to the AL
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Championship Series, but now I don't have them going to
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: the World Series. It hurts to say, but I don't
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: think that you can.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: What are we watching? A little of what we're watching
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: before we head out. So we did this on the
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: radio show last time we were on the radio. And
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I said I was watching Landers. At that point, it
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: was three episodes in. We are now six episodes in.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: There's two left. to come out. Episode 7 comes out
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: this Sunday. And I gotta tell you, man, as I'm
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: watching it, I know it's part of the Superman, Supergirl universe,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: but it doesn't feel like it. It feels more like
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: it's part of the Robert Pattinson Batman universe. It feels
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: that dark, that gritty. Even the Green Lantern who was
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: on the Superman movie, he finally came out this past weekend.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: And even his character, felt different okay it didn't he
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: was like a a jokesy type character buffoon in in
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: superman and i didn't feel like that in this.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: One when i was going to ask you uh did
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: you think that one of these lanterns are going to
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: be in batman 2 or well on that universe.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: No they're going to be uh john stewart the the
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: black guy and who's going to be the the lantern
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: he's already they've already confirmed he's in the new superman
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: movie coming out next year i think it's next year
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: uh man of tomorrow him and the one he was
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: in who was in the first superman movie that green
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: lantern guy gardner they're both going to be in the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: new superman movie.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: And is the new superman movie the same guy that
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: people sucked.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Yeah it's the same guy dude yeah they it was
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: weird they announced a bunch of movies at the very
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: beginning and superman was the first one and then they
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: announced you know uh supergirl they announced uh paradise lost
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: was supposed to be a wonder woman movie and then
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: they announced a couple other movies and then out of
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: nowhere they just after the first superman and And then
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: they got bad reviews on Supergirl movie before it came out.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: They just said, oh, yeah, we're making the sequel to
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Superman right away. They just said right away, we're making
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the Superman sequel. And I guess they're trying to get
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: as much as much as they can out of that series. OK, well, because,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: you know, they just got bought by Paramount. And apparently
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: that Paramount made some concessions on some things. So it
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: could be the merger could be. officially go through so
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: things might be changing.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: There okay yeah and what is that when does that
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: batman movie come on 27 or.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: 28 27 but it's not like i said it's not
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: part of the superman supergirl universe that's a whole different
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: thing that's what i'm saying the way this feels because
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: i was i was talking to one of the guys
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: from the ticket ea and i said I like Green Lantern.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I like the Lantern series, but it doesn't feel like
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: an honest adaptation. It's a different take on the Lanterns,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: but it doesn't feel like what I've grown up and read.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Right, yeah.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: It doesn't feel like that.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: I might have to get on that and watch it
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: on my free time. You said this is Max?
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, HBO Max. I mean, I like it. It's really good.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: But yeah, I just think it's not what I... I
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: think is, uh, what I've grew up reading. It's, it's a,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I mean, I, I think I equate it to the Joker,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: the Joker movie. The one with, with, with Joaquin Phoenix.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: If you take the Batman element out of it, I
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: think it's a great movie. It probably wins a bunch
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: of auction, but it had something to do with Batman.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I think this is the same way. If you take
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: the lantern thing out of it and these guys are
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: either like two FBI agents or two CIA agents trying
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to solve something, I think it would still be a
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: great show, but they're, it's in the.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's in the lanterns.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Well, so what have you been watching?
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Just, uh, I really haven't watched anything because of football,
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: obviously football and baseball, but, uh, just consistent watching Ted Lasso.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Last episode was pretty good. It was, again, it was
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: a series of feel good series. They had the girls
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: out celebrating new year and all that kind of thing.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: They made up with some guys that give him crap
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: at the beginning of the series where they're like, Oh,
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: you bunch of girls, blah, blah, blah. And then, then,
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: They kind of get into it, and then they just
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: make up. But that's about it so far. This is
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: a series that I want to watch, but I just
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: can't get to them. I've been re-watching Tires Season 3.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Man, you really love Tires.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: I've just been cracking up. I just wanted to watch
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: it a second time because I feel like the first
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: time I watched it was like I didn't know what
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: to expect, but it was funny. Now I want to
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: watch it again. Now that I kind of understand, so.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: that's about it. Nothing.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: There's a couple of things that like, uh, I want
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: to see that are coming out. Um, did you see
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: that on, there's a Norm Macdonald documentary that just, it's
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: going to drop next month. No. From a Jed Apatow.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Jed Apatow has been doing a lot of documentaries lately.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: He did the Gary Shandling documentary and it's always about comics.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: He did the Mel Brooks documentary on HBO max. And
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: so those both were HBO max, but this is on Netflix.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: And I guess it's cause, uh, Norm signed a deal
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: with Netflix before he died.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: And so I'm guessing that's what it's honoring because he
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: had a standard special during COVID where it's just him
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: telling jokes, recording on his laptop, and that came out.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: It was pretty cool.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: No, actually, speaking of the ones that are coming out,
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: and I think I texted you, is Nick Saban coming
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: out on ESPN. I don't know if it's a 30
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: for 30, but I think it's a six part. Documentary
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: about Nick Saban coming out on October 8th or something
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: like that.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: That one looks good, and I can't wait to watch that.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: I really cannot wait. Cool.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: That'll do it for us this episode. Hope you guys
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: have enjoyed it. Once again, if you wish to contact

- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope everybody liked this one better. We didn't
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: have very many technical difficulties. We had some stuff that
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: we were working out before we got on, but we
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: worked it out.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Yeah.

- 1:13:52Speaker 1: good sports fortune in the week to come. Till next week.
