- 0:04SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: I was on the way to work.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm torn because it's 9-11 today.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: But it's also Nelly Day.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: And I think most of us are in that same position of let's honor the day.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: But also party at night.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: And and and moving forward with our lives, knowing that there is still like, okay, there's, you know, people like Jon Stewart fighting the good fight.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, sure.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Funding for 9-11 victims and their families.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And then E.I.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: E.I.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: uh.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: I I I know.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Tonight, oh boy.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: What's happening now?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you what, though, I'm beginning to wonder if the calendar has not affected people.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: So we've mentioned this a couple times.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: It's kind of a screwed-up calendar this year because Labor Day was late.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: In Christmas?
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: In Christmas's back pocket.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: We're like two weeks away from Christmas and Thanksgiving.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: And it was later.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: And here we are.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: I'm but I only passed two cars on the way to work today.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, did everybody finally go snooze?
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: It's time to hit snooze.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: We're tired.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Because, you know, you figure in New York, schools got back in.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Everybody was trying to get into that schedule.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: That takes a toll on the system.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: It really does.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: It does.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And you know it's so funny that you say that.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Yesterday, producer Jordan woke up at 5 16.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Now that's much later than we would wake up.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Well, I I don't know what time he normally wakes up, but I would assume it is 6 1.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: I would assume he wakes up around like 4 o'clock, like we do.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: And then when I roll over and say, Good morning, Scott.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wow, I thought we hung up that phone call.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: This morning, uh Junior woke me up at like 3.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So I didn't I was like, what am I gonna do?
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Do I stay awake?
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, no, no, no.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: I need to be well rested for Nelly.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try to go back to sleep.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: So it was like 3.24.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I looked at the clock.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try to sleep for another like half hour or so.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden this morning, Zach's like, honey, it's 5.16.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Oh gosh.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: The exact time that Jordan woke up yesterday.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: That's funny.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: How weird is that?
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: It's somewhere in your subconscious, you were like, oh God.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I never, never oversleep.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: That is the weirdest thing.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: So I don't know what is going on with my body and its rhythm, but it Nah, I think it's this week.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I really do.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, even though you don't have to get on a schedule with kids per se, I think everybody's just like, whoa, yeah, this was a lot.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Ready to parter.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: There is not a person that I don't know going to this.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I went and walked with my friend Sarah yesterday, and everyone asks me, can I still get a ticket?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, yeah, you can.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Tagstickets.com.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Except for we do have some today.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: We do have some pairs today.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: And it happened in the office yesterday.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: In one of our sales guys, actually, it happened twice.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: We have a new guy in the front office.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So if you come to pick up a prize, welcome him.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: His name's Jonathan.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Say hi to John.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: He asked me, he goes, What's the pecking order if somebody doesn't pick up the ticket?
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Like, can any of us have one of those tickets?
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: And I I said, There's no pecking order.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Yes, you can.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: And you're sitting real close to him.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So there's one, right?
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: There's one person that has not picked up tickets from us from our front office.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: I'm tempted to call her.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Anyway, that's here nor there.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Well, right.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: And then we had a sales guy who never asks for anything.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And he wanted a pair.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, um Do you want me to squeeze one out of my butt?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: It's like, let me, I you might be able to talk to another sales guy who handles that.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: That other sales guy came to me.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Allie, do you have any tickets?
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh no.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: No, no, I don't.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Guess what?
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Somebody's winning a pair today.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we actually have um let's start with two.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: We have at least two pairs to give away, and we'll start with that.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: That's gonna happen this morning.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Obviously, we're gonna reflect a bit on uh 9-11.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: You know, I mean that's I you know the biggest thing for me with that?
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: 25 years, a quarter of a century.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I still remember every detail from that day.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: I remember where I was, what I was doing, everything about that.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Uh and it but it for me, it's like, wow, that's been 25 years.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: I was young enough that I I didn't quite, even though I was in college, I was my it was my freshman year of college, I didn't quite understand everything that was going on.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Well, you you may not have been in the mode at that point of of saying, I'm gonna pay full attention to this.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: You know, it's something that at that age you would have been like, oh, the gravity of the situation's hitting me now more as the day progressed.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Where yeah.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: But also, I don't think anyone really knew what was going on.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, in the beginning they didn't.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: I can tell you that.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: And someone that was working media that morning, I can tell you none of and we didn't have the internet the way we do today.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: You know, with such instant I mean, we you you had the internet, but you have to remember 25 years ago it was not what it is today.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: I did not have a smartphone.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, none of us had that.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Those didn't come around until the middle of the 20 uh the first one.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I think my first I think my first smartphone came in 2003, four, five, six.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Might have been even a little bit later than that, yeah.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: I had one here and I moved here in 2006.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Okay, it would have been shortly after, probably, or right before, either one.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: So But they weren't even that great at that time.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: It's not like you were being bombarded with all the headlines in the news.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Like right now, I can't even get away from a headline showing up on my phone.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: You can't, you couldn't have more than one app open at a time.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: That's the one thing I do remember about my first smartphone.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, dang it, I really wanted to listen to Nelly, but I want to also look at the headlines.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Do you remember also you could not text and be on a phone call at the same time?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: The text would be remember that?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, yes.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Yes, of course I do.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, really, we were we were trapped with old school style of delivering, you know, information at the time.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: And trust me, I remember that.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Anyway, we've got lots to do today.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: Hang with us.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: We'll get to your text in a minute, too.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: I see a lot of you guys are popping in, and uh, we'll say hi and and we're going.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Here we go.
