All prisons use slave labor. In Oklahoma, they are being farmed out to make phone calls for political candidates. Not just phone calls, but deceptive ones. But the phone call is not the main issue—the slave labor is! People get so hysterical so quickly when DSA type people talk about “Abolish the Carceral System” that we almost never get to have a real conversation about why it needs to be abolished and the short answer is slavery.
