- 0:06Hello. What's your least favorite?
- 0:08Scary movie? Julie's.
- 0:16Favorite scary movie, the podcast, are you talking about
- 0:18the good, the bad, the ugly, and the Absurd, and all of our
- 0:21favorite and least, favorite scary movie.
- 0:23Is because we believe every horror movie rightfully, has its
- 0:25fanbase, even if we don't always get it?
- 0:27My name is Travis. My name is Jessie.
- 0:30And today, we're back with another live uncut and mostly
- 0:33undrawn bonus episode of to be or not to be repaired.
- 0:38And if you like, hey, you just had one of these.
- 0:42Well, yes, we did. Yeah.
- 0:44The thing is December is a busy month.
- 0:48Yeah, what of traveling, a lot of seeing people.
- 0:52So, our weekends are going to be pretty much covered for the rest
- 0:55of the month. So we had.
- 0:56This is basically our only time we could do this.
- 0:58Yeah. So yes, here we are and also I'm
- 1:03sorry if I sound sick, I happen. Yeah, I'm feeling good but I
- 1:08still sound like shit so I can't really do anything about that.
- 1:12I'm sorry. But I just want to say that.
- 1:17Okay, we're talking about the Gingerdead Man.
- 1:18Today. Are you surprised that I picked
- 1:21this? No really.
- 1:24I didn't realize it was on to be.
- 1:27So it didn't like cross my, like, It didn't cross my radar
- 1:32is a possibility but I do I know you wanted to do something
- 1:37that's kind of seasonal. Yeah it's there's a very loose
- 1:40connection there. It's the connection is that we
- 1:43like to make gingerbread men cookies.
- 1:46Yeah and that's our connection. It's that, I mean that's a very
- 1:49seasonal we're covering not this week.
- 1:55This week is going to be Halloween kills but next week
- 1:57we're going to be covering Jack Frost.
- 1:59Yeah. So I feel like It also ties into
- 2:01that. It was unintentional, but they
- 2:03do pair well together. Yes, I will say Jack Frost.
- 2:08Oh, I like that way more. Yeah.
- 2:12But not to say I don't like this one.
- 2:15I'm still kind of processing. We just watched this like five
- 2:18minutes ago. We just finished it.
- 2:19So very fresh. We started it an hour and 15
- 2:24minutes ago. It's a really short but yeah,
- 2:25it's an hour and 10 minutes. So you don't have a lot to
- 2:28analyze here. It's just a little bit more of a
- 2:32commitment than thankskilling. Yeah.
- 2:35I was thinking about thankskilling whenever I picked
- 2:37this because like it feels very Similar totally wear.
- 2:43It just absolutely doesn't take itself seriously to the degree
- 2:46that thankskilling does, but they don't go full
- 2:49thankskilling. It's like an in-between between
- 2:51that and Jack Frost. Yeah.
- 2:53Like if we had a scale. Yeah, exactly.
- 2:55This would be in the middle. Yeah, I know sewer like the
- 2:58other ends of yeah. Okay, well yeah, I, they have
- 3:03like, the whole full moon catalog on to be, I think, I
- 3:06don't know if it's all one but like most of its there.
- 3:09So Yeah, I don't know, just it just seemed like a fun movie.
- 3:13We have own part 3 for like almost a decade and we've never
- 3:19watched it. Yeah, because I'm a purist and I
- 3:21want to watch it from the beginning.
- 3:23Yeah, I feel. This is a role that I have for
- 3:26no other franchise ever. Yeah, I was gonna say on that
- 3:28same DVD Bill Joy three, yes. And we've watched that.
- 3:32Yeah, one time at least. Yeah.
- 3:34Maybe maybe had revisit those two at some point.
- 3:38It seemed like they would be fun.
- 3:40Dove in the same spirit is well, I would probably see Robin.
- 3:45That's your fate Robin Sydney? Yep, Robinson.
- 3:49Yeah, we'd probably see her because she's she's a full moon
- 3:53darling. Yes.
- 3:54Yeah, you were telling me you were desperately searching for
- 3:58Christmas movie roles? No, no.
- 4:01What? No?
- 4:02What was it? No, I was searching for
- 4:04Christmas movie roles for the barometer.
- 4:06No. Oh, the other girl for the movie
- 4:08that we left on the TV for, The pets.
- 4:10All we record. Oh, that's what you were talking
- 4:12about that. You're talking about this.
- 4:14I was like holy shit. She's in Christmas movies.
- 4:16What do you know? Yeah, would ya know Robinson,
- 4:18he's not in Chris's movies and she was not, Winnie Cooper in
- 4:21The Wonder Years. I'm just telling you there's
- 4:22like an odd amount of crossover with horror movie actors and
- 4:26Christmas movies. We saw the girl from Terra fire
- 4:28that gets solved from upside down, Dawn.
- 4:32Freddie, Prinze jr. You ever forget her name after
- 4:37David, how are Thornton? I just think of the name and my
- 4:41team up with me in crack of dawn.
- 4:43Yeah ii-i'm. Sorry you're right.
- 4:45You're right. But you have those two and then
- 4:48you have wasted should bear who was in the black Christmas
- 4:51remake it. Sorry she is 100% Mean Girls for
- 4:54me and I know the also happens to be in the black groups and
- 4:58like so many Christmas movies also.
- 5:01Yeah that was her start of. Do you think I like the
- 5:05Christmas card? They were really obsessed with
- 5:12eyes in that last movie I did. And still do nothing Agnes's.
- 5:19Okay, so, let's get on into this one of them.
- 5:22Okay. So, the Gingerdead, Man, this
- 5:24game out. November 8, 2005.
- 5:27Okay. Obviously, we watch this on too
- 5:30because it's part of the show. Yeah, we're not telling you,
- 5:33where else you can watch it, go watch it on TV, show to be the
- 5:35love and respect they deserve, so you can handle a couple
- 5:38commercial breaks, it's fine. He's like a son to us for us and
- 5:41they were mostly like one commercial.
- 5:43Yeah. When I was like 5 Seconds, Grand
- 5:46of like, here's this number for Medicare.
- 5:48Yeah. And that's it.
- 5:49Yeah, it did. You're like, maybe spending an
- 5:52hour and 15 minutes instead of an hour which would say I
- 5:56wouldn't even say it. Added 55 minutes.
- 5:58Oh really? Okay.
- 5:59Well yeah, listen. Five minutes of hats.
- 6:01It's not like cable TV. Yeah, we love to be in this
- 6:04house to go. Check out to be.
- 6:06Yes, this was written by William Butler and Dominique Muir okay
- 6:11directed by Charles Band. Can't the guy that created full
- 6:15moon. I believe music by Robert
- 6:18Ballinger. Okay.
- 6:20That's one thing I'll say about these full moon movies.
- 6:22I fucking hate their soundtracks.
- 6:23Ya know, the music? They try to be everything.
- 6:26Yeah, every time I played I was like this just feels off, it's
- 6:29out of place. Yeah, it's really really bad.
- 6:32I can't stand it but they make up for it because they have Jon
- 6:36Karl bugler, you sure? Remember.
- 6:39We have this every single time. Time that he's on.
- 6:41I say buechler. I said beagley Giancarlo be
- 6:45yeah. Yeah, we got the JCB.
- 6:47Yeah, she should be. Yeah, he's here.
- 6:51He does. The special makeup effects and
- 6:55he does a good job. I think he always does.
- 6:58Yeah, he does. But see the whole thing with
- 7:01full moon and Charles band. Is there a notorious for being
- 7:04super cheap? Yeah.
- 7:05So he probably didn't have a lot to work with.
- 7:09I mean, when they Have when they have to have a human and the
- 7:12gingerbread interacting in the same scene that gingerbread
- 7:15looks terrible. I have a lot of thoughts on the
- 7:19ginger. Yeah, we all do.
- 7:23Okay. So this thing is starring Gary
- 7:26Busey as milord findell Meyer and the Gingerdead Man.
- 7:33Well the Gingerdead Man is Elliot Finn domeier.
- 7:36Kind of like Chucky kind of Charles will you raise kind of
- 7:39like Jack Frost is Jack Frost? He doesn't get it, he doesn't
- 7:45get it. Yeah, it's a shame.
- 7:50It's weird seeing him, you know, I'm, I think that this is
- 7:54actually, the only Gary Busey movie I've ever really seen.
- 7:59I know that he was like a big time.
- 8:01Well, I don't know if he was a big star, but he's like a name
- 8:04that people recognize from back in the day, it's like, it's a
- 8:08weird choice, but I think it works well, because they all
- 8:13kind of lean into them. Certainly exactly the right
- 8:15energy to the roll. Yeah, it does a good job with
- 8:18it. What if they wrote it with him
- 8:21in mind to play him? I like to imagine.
- 8:23He came up to full moon and he was like, Hey, what if I was a
- 8:26cookie gingerbread man Charles bad.
- 8:30Like he's like, I have to make this, like, I can't, I'm
- 8:33terrified. Gary Busey.
- 8:35Seems like an intimidating, Amanda period.
- 8:37I think he's got a really intense energy.
- 8:39I'm not sure if I'm confusing him with somebody else, so he
- 8:41became kind of a pop culture joke.
- 8:45Yeah. Because I had an accident.
- 8:46Intransitive. Yeah, which is a really
- 8:48fucked-up thing to joke around about.
- 8:50Yeah, it is. Yeah, I can't remember what it
- 8:53was. I think it was like, an accident
- 8:54or something, but yeah, he had like pretty severe brain damage
- 8:59and yet people do to kind of make fun of him and I don't know
- 9:03if he's like, don't do that. Don't ya dick like that or think
- 9:06that they're doing that with this?
- 9:08No I think he's just this is just, he's got an intense energy
- 9:12which he's not the only actor out there that has a really
- 9:15intense. No, that's true and other
- 9:18people. Yeah.
- 9:19So I think I think he brought the right kind of Charisma to
- 9:24the roll. Yeah, it's authentic enough but
- 9:27it's still like cheesy and over-the-top.
- 9:31Okay next up we have Robin Sydney who plays Sarah, Sarah
- 9:35Lee Sara Lee yes she's a baker. Yeah Ryan look plays Amos Alexia
- 9:43ellman what I want to know if he's in This equals and he
- 9:48starts baking with her and then that's how we get Famous.
- 9:51Amos God. That would be weird I ever tell
- 9:55you about the time. I did not know how to pronounce
- 9:57the name. Amaz know, how do you pronounce
- 9:59it? Okay, you know, the Famous Amos
- 10:01cookies, yeah, it never crossed my mind that they were called
- 10:03that because it's a cutesy rhyming scheme.
- 10:06Uh-huh. I thought it was famous and most
- 10:09famous. Mm, yeah, how many times did you
- 10:14say that the people I did? I saw I said it exactly one
- 10:18time. Before my mom, like the many
- 10:22people heard you say, famous and most this is one of those.
- 10:29It like I always just like said it silently in my head and one
- 10:32time I said it out loud, it was embarrassing.
- 10:35There's like a whole Famous Amos cookie currency on my once you
- 10:40table this boy that would sit at our table.
- 10:43He if you were on his good side that day, he Would give you a
- 10:47cookie and he would like make a well-known thing.
- 10:50Like, I like this guy today, he's getting the Famous Amos
- 10:53cookie and he likes, slide it on the table and it was like a
- 10:56whole thing. Everybody wanted him, we
- 10:59competed. Did you ever get any?
- 11:02Oh yeah, I got plenty. Okay, I did.
- 11:03I was a good boy. I did pretty well.
- 11:08Okay. Alexia element plays Warner and
- 11:11Jonathan Chase plays Brick. Is.
- 11:16Is it still him at the end? Yeah, I think so.
- 11:19It looks like Buffy makeup. Right?
- 11:22Like oh yeah, like vampire make. Yeah, it looked exactly like
- 11:24that. They just kind of like filled
- 11:26his face out a little bit more. And then put like, I like black
- 11:29makeup around his eyes and lips as a and then they were like
- 11:34hate you on this green? Yeah.
- 11:37And by the way, why is your transforming until guy just like
- 11:41he seemed taller. Yeah, he did.
- 11:43He did. So I was like, do they like, did
- 11:45they Bring in somebody new, is that Gary Busey under
- 11:49Prosthetics is that that was not Gary Busey, what's its face
- 11:52under pressure. I think it was.
- 11:54I think it was the real, dude. The real brick, man.
- 11:57I know, yeah, the whole ending is so fucking weird.
- 12:01This movie is just so strange, man.
- 12:03Yeah, I just, I don't know you seem super pumped to go check
- 12:08this out. Yeah.
- 12:09And I'm kind of terrified of what I've may have started this.
- 12:13I don't know where this is gonna go from here.
- 12:16Okay, so I don't have a budget for this.
- 12:20I don't have a box office. Smash it did not come out in
- 12:23theatres and yeah, no, gross. I do have an IMDb score though.
- 12:29Is 3.4 it is very, very low. Yeah.
- 12:34But it is a bad movie but like I feel like that's kind of the
- 12:38point. But, you know, if bad movies are
- 12:42like hard to like, you know, it has to be like this is like,
- 12:45clearly something that That you were saying this in your Q Zone
- 12:48as you put it. Yeah, this is my Moon River
- 12:50Rock. Yeah.
- 12:52And you know, it's not everybody, it's not in
- 12:54everybody's Q Zone. You know what?
- 12:56Yeah, not everybody can sing that.
- 12:59I don't even know why I'm talking about anymore.
- 13:00I'm talking about singing when we're actually talking about
- 13:02watching a movie but I get why it's not somebody's thing.
- 13:10All right, I did pull three movies.
- 13:11Okay, first one. Okay, urban Legends, Bloody
- 13:16Mary. Oh boy.
- 13:18Hmm I'm just going to say man 2005 was a pretty good year for
- 13:22horror. I left off a lot of Heavy
- 13:24Hitters for this with. I'd like to hear some of them
- 13:27when you get through this list. Okay, hear what your idea of a
- 13:30heavy hitter is. Okay, so this released July 19th
- 13:36and it had a budget of 3.5 million do not have a gross on
- 13:41that either. That's a really high budget for
- 13:42the second movie. Yeah, I think it probably went
- 13:45straight to do because that's the third one.
- 13:47Yeah, that's your favor, right? You like the?
- 13:52That's all your favorite and know, I'm thinking of you
- 13:54thinking, of Boogeyman, you do this every time you, yeah,
- 13:57you're right. And like word of God, I feel
- 13:59like we've watched this one together like a matically.
- 14:02They're similar, except for a very important detail where one
- 14:06a supernatural and one isn't, is this one.
- 14:09Not a supernatural movie? I've ever been Legend?
- 14:11I don't know. I don't know if Bloody Mary, is
- 14:13that someone that I'm not familiar with, I thought it was.
- 14:16Maybe we've talked about it multiple times.
- 14:17I said, hey, we need to watch those and you're like, we have
- 14:19and I'm like, I swear we have Okay, or if we have then it's
- 14:23like a stay alive situation where we have no memory of
- 14:26having watched it, we got to watch it.
- 14:28The yes, it's on to be, I think, oh my God.
- 14:32So I don't know, maybe well. Okay, man, I'm thinking a
- 14:35boogeyman again. God, I don't know where this is.
- 14:42It was on Hulu for a bit, it was.
- 14:44Yeah. I don't care anymore.
- 14:46Okay, I remember the first two were so maybe it's out there
- 14:48somewhere. Yeah, the second one is like the
- 14:50film. Student thing.
- 14:51Yeah, that one's really good Final Cut.
- 14:53Yeah, I like that one a lot. Okay so that one has I'm DB
- 14:58score of 4.1 so whole point above a dead man.
- 15:03Next up Wolf Creek. Oh wow that came out Christmas
- 15:07Day. Yeah. 2005 with a budget of
- 15:10Merry Christmas. Yeah, it's a good Christmas
- 15:13movie. He said, 1 million 1 million 1
- 15:15million for the budget. Worldwide, gross of, 30 million,
- 15:20and Ace A 6.4 on. Well, you know, it's a 6.4. 6.2
- 15:28on IMDb. Okay, okay.
- 15:31They has a good movie. It's a really good movie.
- 15:34And here's the final one, I got another heavy hitter, the
- 15:37dissent that came out on my birthday, August 4th in 2005!
- 15:42Wow! Bunch of the 3.5 million like
- 15:45urban legends with a fifty Seven million dollar gross 7.21, IMDb
- 15:51okay and some of the other ones would have been Devil's,
- 15:57Rejects, okay, House of Wax. That's a Far.
- 16:03Cry Wolf. Oh shit.
- 16:06Yeah, there's a lot of pretty good ones that came out that you
- 16:08said, okay, yeah, okay, okay, three taglines.
- 16:13Oh, boy, I'm excited. Yeah, this is like a good one
- 16:16for, you know, doing taglines fine.
- 16:18Yeah, because it's, there's a lot of potential here.
- 16:21Okay, first off out of the oven it into your heart.
- 16:26I don't get that. It sounds like it's like he's
- 16:28trying to get your love. I knows, this is too adorable
- 16:30for this baby. He's not adorable at all.
- 16:34I want to watch the lifetime version of this movie though.
- 16:37Yeah, you think that one would exist.
- 16:39Maybe that could be our Christmas movie.
- 16:42I thought our Christmas movie was going to be even saying I
- 16:44need this and I, we make two, okay.
- 16:47Yeah. I mean, come on.
- 16:48We can make as many as we want. They are like they are they
- 16:50being dead debuting, new movies like every single day out there
- 16:54on the channel. That's still a chance.
- 16:56Sir. Yeah.
- 16:58Okay. Next up, some things in the
- 17:01oven. How is that?
- 17:03It, that's okay. I know like they didn't that one
- 17:08seems. Excuse my pun half-baked.
- 17:12Travis you proud of me. I am.
- 17:16OK. Thank you.
- 17:17Yeah. That wasn't it feels like a cut
- 17:19off too soon. If you could have a lot of fun
- 17:21with it and this one, evil never tasted so good.
- 17:27I like that one. That shit will take a taste of
- 17:29nasty when he eats them in this movie.
- 17:31Well, yeah, because he liked actually bleeds.
- 17:34I'm not going to go into the physics cookie.
- 17:37Yeah. Well, I mean, it's kind of like,
- 17:39Chucky, right? You kind of takes gets the
- 17:42human. And parts of them inside.
- 17:45Yeah, once he's been on the doll for too long and he starts to
- 17:47bleed, human blood. I gotta find a child.
- 17:51Yes, I heard of all right, that's it for the taglines.
- 17:55Okay. Okay, so let's get on into this
- 17:58movie, then Jesse tell me what you thought of it.
- 18:02Okay, so the good like you said this, maybe isn't my keys own.
- 18:08I that opening happened and I was like embarrassingly a Watch
- 18:13the movie. I've been sleeping all day and
- 18:15was like, yeah, she perked up like a mediator.
- 18:18Yeah, it's dumb. It's just, it's just dumb and I
- 18:23love dumb movies. He sometimes.
- 18:26You just need a dumb movie. Exactly the bad.
- 18:31I think it honestly like drags a little bit in the middle, which
- 18:35is really hard to say, for a movie, that is 70 minutes long.
- 18:39Yeah. Yeah.
- 18:39You're right. It just gets a little bit like
- 18:45This is very much a first draft. Yeah kind of feeling a rush
- 18:49production on this like they got the scripts they got the people
- 18:52attach that. Okay.
- 18:53We've got two days to shoot this and they're like, okay go that's
- 18:57it. Yeah I mean It clearly, it's a
- 19:02formula ended up working out for them because there's about 57,
- 19:05sequels and crossovers. Yeah, yeah, I think there's
- 19:08Gingerdead Man versus the evil bong.
- 19:10Yeah. The evil bong series.
- 19:12I've not seen a single one of those.
- 19:14They seem really, really bad. I am just curious about that
- 19:20because it is it an anthropomorphic bong?
- 19:24I think. So it's got a face.
- 19:26So how does it move around like a Gingerdead, Man?
- 19:30Least the kind of got like yeah, I don't know.
- 19:34That's a good. Very good question.
- 19:35I we'd have to watch it. I know dark season a couple of
- 19:39them. Yeah, so yeah.
- 19:41That's the thing. See that ugly.
- 19:46I mean, you know, I may be like this is never going to handle
- 19:50sensitive subjects and just ever so I just did Gary Busey scares.
- 20:00Actor, are you talking about? No, just like any of it really
- 20:05like you know, the alcoholic mothers treated as an
- 20:10afterthought. The, the way she, the waist area
- 20:17is talk to you at the beginning. I fully thought she was a child
- 20:20till she stood up and then I was like, what the fuck?
- 20:22She wasn't a child. No, I thought that was like a
- 20:24flashback. No, that was two years prior.
- 20:29Oh my God. I thought that she was a child
- 20:31this entire time. No.
- 20:33Wow. Okay, yeah.
- 20:37So like it's just, I don't know and then like really honestly
- 20:42The way Lorna and Sarah are in the middle of being under attack
- 20:48and arguing about a boy, the huh.
- 20:51I fucking hate that kind of shit.
- 20:53Yeah, definitely. And this is why I like the
- 20:56bechdel test is like the lowest of a low bar to pass because
- 21:02this may be technically passes, the bechdel test and 50% of the
- 21:07dialogue between these two. Women is about a boy.
- 21:12Yeah. So yeah.
- 21:15I guess you're right. Okay.
- 21:17What's your absurd when he gets in Jimmy's fucking car?
- 21:22And he's the only girl. This is so stupid.
- 21:30He's got the gun just like tucked under his arm.
- 21:33Yeah, he never pulls the trigger.
- 21:35I just everything with the ginger, with the gingerbread
- 21:40man. Even his giant fucking cookie
- 21:42cutter. Oh, my God.
- 21:48Like they only had, like, they were definitely.
- 21:53Nobody makes cookie. Did it roll that do out flat
- 21:57enough. So, with how things, She cut it
- 22:00and how big it was. It was just going to like melt
- 22:03into the whole pan. Yeah, like a.
- 22:08So yeah. So all that said, I don't think
- 22:13it's the best bad movie I've ever watched.
- 22:16But it does make me want to watch the sequels to see if they
- 22:21find their footing a little bit more with it.
- 22:24Okay. Yeah.
- 22:24Because I think movies sometimes like if a movie is really really
- 22:28good on its first First outing, then it's a little bit
- 22:30nerve-racking to see sequels. Yeah, because then it's like, oh
- 22:34well we're just going to try and either up the Annie or, you
- 22:38know, just redo like that was the first one.
- 22:41Yeah. Whereas if it starts off, kind
- 22:44of rough. It's like, okay, cool.
- 22:46We have got the concept down. We've figured out his sense of
- 22:49humor, we figured out the tone of this franchise.
- 22:52Now, we can have some fun, which, I feel like, is how these
- 22:55types of movies go. So, I'm going to give it a 5
- 22:58just for the potential. I See.
- 22:59Okay, I thought you were going to go higher without now gushing
- 23:02about this thing. I wouldn't say it was gushing
- 23:05all. You were like, so excited.
- 23:07Like your I could see you were kind of giddy to talk about this
- 23:11and watch it. Yeah.
- 23:13Okay, cool. So are you got a five?
- 23:18I think that's about where I'm at to.
- 23:20Okay, five, so the five skis. Yeah, the good for this thing, I
- 23:25think, I think it's just, I guess it's fun.
- 23:29Done it. It's just very much in that that
- 23:35same like you know, the Jack Frost's category of movies and
- 23:39kind of like we were saying like those are just kind of fun to
- 23:41watch whenever you're wanting something stupid.
- 23:44This is the type of movie that I feel like, if you and I had or
- 23:47either one of us had seen it before we first started talking
- 23:51to each other. Remember how we started talking
- 23:52about Troll 2, and, like, all these other bad movies, like we
- 23:55were brought this up. Oh, for sure.
- 23:56Yeah, it's just It's not that you're totally right.
- 24:01It's not the best bad movie I've seen, but it is at least
- 24:04entertaining and it's short and bad movies like this when
- 24:09they're short like this that I'm never going to complain about
- 24:12that. I'm not ever going to be like,
- 24:13man. I feel like I needed a little
- 24:14bit more of the yeah. And I'm just going to go ahead
- 24:16and take this moment because I know we said that we were going
- 24:18to watch thankskilling, 3 on Thanksgiving, we got about 10
- 24:21minutes and before we said fuck this turned it off and then just
- 24:24to make sure we weren't missing something, we did put it on the
- 24:27kill, count for it to be like like yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:31And he even said, like Chelsea ditched him during the movie,
- 24:34too. It's, it's all puppets.
- 24:37And one of my favorite things about thankskilling is this,
- 24:40terrible puppet? Interacting with people that
- 24:43don't react to it being a terrible public.
- 24:45Those are the best moments of that movie, especially with him
- 24:49in the sheriff. Yeah.
- 24:51So the fact that the sequel is all puppets, kind of takes away
- 24:54a big part of the, like, visual humor of it all for me.
- 24:58So we Didn't make it very far. I think we made it to the
- 25:01grandma puppet, before like alright, cool.
- 25:03We can do other things with our lives.
- 25:05Yeah. And then we confirmed that it
- 25:07doesn't get any better from there.
- 25:08So very bad. We will not be covering it.
- 25:11No ever. Speaking of bad, the bad for
- 25:15this movie. I think that this movie.
- 25:19It has way too much filler. I think like the opening
- 25:23credits. So this take like five minutes
- 25:26out of a movie that's 110 minutes.
- 25:29And then you also just have like it again.
- 25:32Did I yeah? 110 minutes?
- 25:34Yeah. No, that's that's right.
- 25:36No, it's not. Fuck, yeah, you're right.
- 25:43Make that distinction. Your brain wants an hour to be
- 25:46under the metric system for time.
- 25:51Okay, an hour and 10 minutes. Okay, that's way too long for
- 25:56credits to be opening credits for movie, the short, and then
- 26:00there's just like all these, like, nothing shots of, like,
- 26:02the like that whole plot of the building next door.
- 26:07That's a competing The bakery. I guess.
- 26:10Like this. Not even really like a big do.
- 26:12Okay. Well, the owner is name.
- 26:13Is Jimmy Dean? And is that Jimmy D?
- 26:17Yeah, I think they were trying to be very cute soon.
- 26:19Oh shit. I didn't catch his name.
- 26:21Yeah, okay. Wow, that's kind of funny.
- 26:26So, yeah. Ugly, I think the camera work on
- 26:29this thing is, like, they always did the fucking diagonal shot.
- 26:32I don't know what the actual technical name for that type of
- 26:35shot is, but it Kind of bothered me.
- 26:39I don't know. It's a very cheap looking movie.
- 26:43Yeah, I guess this is like the infant days of video recording
- 26:46with the you know, electronic cameras.
- 26:49Yeah. So yeah, it's going to look very
- 26:52rough and my absurd moment is the part where you eat some in
- 26:57the end like that shit was so weird.
- 27:00I just I think we were both a little bit shell-shocked in that
- 27:03moment. I just because he resident the
- 27:05cookie and we're like, okay cool.
- 27:07And then he like, She actually eats him.
- 27:09Yeah, and I thought you would just be a normal cookie, but I
- 27:13said I just see like guts and blood coming out.
- 27:16And this guy is not even like hesitating.
- 27:18I wish it had been like they played into the bakery aspect of
- 27:22it a little bit more intimate like a raspberry puree or
- 27:25something. Coming out.
- 27:27There's it's like that would have driven the budget up too
- 27:31much? I don't think they could afford
- 27:33that. Okay, so yeah, I give it a 5.
- 27:37Okay. It's an okay movie.
- 27:41Yeah. Would you watch never mind?
- 27:42That's the, that's the answer. That's okay.
- 27:45We ask that the end of this, I'm all over the place.
- 27:50Okay, well, it's a shame. These are unedited episode.
- 27:53I know, I know I'm gonna make a fool of myself in front of
- 27:56everybody's face a Travis. You're going to be embarrassed.
- 28:00Okay, let's talk about. Okay, so we open at Cadillac
- 28:05Jack's. This is Gary Busey She is
- 28:08robbing this Diner. It's a very like Pulp Fiction
- 28:13levels and violence. Yes, the Steiner.
- 28:16I don't, they don't give any explanation what this guys
- 28:19doing. I don't like know if this is a
- 28:22robbery gone wrong, or if he's just decided to go on a killing
- 28:26spree. He's just killing these people.
- 28:28Is just shooting them. This boy comes over and tries to
- 28:33talk him down, and he makes him say, put your gun down, please
- 28:36like 10 fucking times. I get different time every
- 28:39single time. Yeah.
- 28:40And it's kind of like vaguely mentioned but his dad had
- 28:44already tried to stop him and was killed.
- 28:46Yeah. So he puts the gun down and
- 28:51takes out a little tiny knife and then he stabs him instead.
- 28:54Gary brute Gary, Busey brought a knife to a gunfight.
- 28:58I got anyone? Well, I mean, he brought both
- 29:01the weapons, so I don't think it's surprising that he won, but
- 29:04if you have a gun and a knife, you're probably going to do
- 29:08very, well, no matter what you brought a gun and a knife to a
- 29:12fistfight. Yeah.
- 29:15So that just leaves, apparently, not try.
- 29:18Child Sarah, Sarah here. And then he has her stand up.
- 29:25He calls her Kitty and it's really gross.
- 29:27Yeah. This is Gary Busey definitely,
- 29:30gives off some very creepy Vibes in this moment.
- 29:35He's like having like an internal struggle because he
- 29:38made a promise to his mom that he would always finish what he
- 29:42started. He's like, but I'm not going to
- 29:44kill you, but I have to do right by my mom.
- 29:47I feel like Going to get a lot more mom in the sequels.
- 29:50Yeah, maybe they'll, that's prom is a key component of a lot of
- 29:53this and we get absolutely don't have it in this movie.
- 29:56Yeah. It's just like some kind of
- 29:57weird driving other than Miller. It is definitely a mama's boy.
- 30:01Yeah. Yeah yeah.
- 30:04So he shoots we don't know if it's her then he runs out you
- 30:08here at the cop sirens. I feel like it had to have hit
- 30:11her because when she's having her whole like post-traumatic
- 30:16like anxiety attack, Fair. She would like, you know, not
- 30:20just talk about missing her family and struggling to keep
- 30:23the big reopen. And oh, also, by the way, I
- 30:26can't afford my medical bills. Oh yeah, really had to dig the
- 30:29slug out of my shoulder and I had to do 10 weeks of therapy.
- 30:33Yeah, she's overwhelmed. This movie.
- 30:36Yeah. So then we cut to two years
- 30:38later at a shop that I did not learn until the end is not
- 30:45called bellies Bakery. That's not the name of it.
- 30:48Apparently Betty's Bakery Betty's.
- 30:51I thought that was belly. Yeah.
- 30:53Well, her mom's name is Betty. Okay, then makes and then when I
- 30:57saw the sign again later on it's got the tiniest crosses on the
- 31:02t's. It looks like they couldn't
- 31:04afford a side, they just draw our by like a giant chalkboard
- 31:07like it just it legitimately looks like bellies Baker and I
- 31:10was like well food goes in your belly that tracks.
- 31:13There's a place here in town called biscuit Valley.
- 31:15Yeah, that's a chain. Is a sure.
- 31:18Okay, that makes me not want to eat there though, because I'm
- 31:20like, I don't want to get a fun biscuit belly.
- 31:23I mean, the cats are already pretty brutal to us about
- 31:25anything. They have biscuit though.
- 31:28He's you talking about. So we cut to the kitchen.
- 31:34I just want to say I love an industrial stand mixer.
- 31:38Yeah, I know that was kind of cool to watch after doing some
- 31:42baking over Thanksgiving. That's what they do.
- 31:46They've got one of those at Outback and They make the the
- 31:50sauce. Oh, really?
- 31:52Yeah. Okay.
- 31:53So make it in a giant stand mixer like gallons of it at a
- 31:57time that's gonna be satisfied. This is like another.
- 32:03I feel like baking kind of makes us a Christmas wish movie too.
- 32:07You know because baking and Christmas movies.
- 32:09Go hand in hand. Yeah.
- 32:10Okay. Have one without the other.
- 32:12Yeah. So yeah, she's a she's mourning
- 32:17her. Brother, it's his birthday.
- 32:19His birthday 21st birthday. He wanted to go to the titty bar
- 32:22for his 21st birthday, and she's like, hope they have strippers
- 32:25and Lone Star up there. These like, this movie is meant
- 32:30to be set in Texas because they frequently like they'll mention
- 32:33things like Lone Star. Yeah.
- 32:34It's a doubt, Joe Bob. They the very thick southern
- 32:38accent. Yeah but the accents don't match
- 32:42Texas. Like Lorna sounds a lot more
- 32:44like Louise. Yeah, that's what I was gonna
- 32:46say. Yeah, it's not accurate now.
- 32:49I mean they're just doing their best out there man.
- 32:53Oh people struggled to do good, Southern Accents.
- 32:57Yeah, people are legal. Other instance I am like we kind
- 33:00of like English accents on the same day all day are.
- 33:04Who the fuck are we to talk about this, right?
- 33:06Yeah, that's why I decided to get self-deprecating with it.
- 33:11Okay, so yeah, she's mourning her brother and then we hear
- 33:15some like voiceover flashbacks to read before Millard.
- 33:20One Millard was sentenced due to her testimony he said I'll get
- 33:24you if it's the last thing I do very Charles Lee Ray.
- 33:27Yeah. Yeah, and it's very strange.
- 33:29She has like the newspaper clippings on the wall framed.
- 33:35They're not on the wall though. They're like on a box on a
- 33:38shelf. I don't understand.
- 33:39I don't know, either way she. Why would she want to keep that?
- 33:43Because this is a good because of exposition travel.
- 33:46Yeah, that's okay. If we're talking realistically
- 33:49than yeah. It's Exposition.
- 33:51But just thinking about is so stupid.
- 33:54But he has the death sentence. He's going to go to the electric
- 33:57chair. Has.
- 33:58This is Texas. It's only been two years and
- 34:00this is not in any way. An implausible to wind down
- 34:03there. Apparently.
- 34:05He did get yeah, and he's been cremated also.
- 34:10Yes, which I was not at all surprised because oh, there's a
- 34:14mystery delivery, to the back door of the bakery and it's a
- 34:19box of Grandma's gingerbread seasoning.
- 34:22You know what? Gingerbread seasoning is
- 34:24cinnamon. Ginger, cinnamon nutmeg, Like
- 34:28you have all of those things are like you don't need a premade,
- 34:30there are some things that it's helpful to have a premade
- 34:32mixture of spices for not for gingerbread.
- 34:36It's simple, right? Yeah.
- 34:37Maybe they have like, a special thing in there, you know.
- 34:40Well, in this case, they have the ashes of Millard.
- 34:43Findell Meyer, that's true. This, it's not advertised on the
- 34:46box. This is why the FDA requires a
- 34:49thorough and complete ingredients list.
- 34:52Yeah, this is why you don't buy the seasoning.
- 34:55You just make it yourself. I don't buy.
- 34:58Anything where it says it's Grandma's own Bowl block,
- 35:00because that's bullshit. There's no, that's good
- 35:02marketing, though. Like if I don't trust, anybody
- 35:05always thinks of their Grandma's cooking or baking, ain't no
- 35:08grandma involved in that. No, probably not.
- 35:13So, brick is going to wrestle palooza, mouthful and very much.
- 35:19They're like, what is the non copyrighted version of
- 35:23WrestleMania? It sounds like a wrestling Music
- 35:26Festival. Can you imagine?
- 35:29So they're letting amateurs get in there for tag-team damage and
- 35:35body slam image. It's time for the butcher Baker
- 35:39so you can meet your maker or whatever is here.
- 35:43You love some Rhymes, he wants to be okay.
- 35:45I couldn't tell if he was actually trying to be one there
- 35:47to here's the thing though. Is that rustling while it is
- 35:51physical is also theatrical and that you know, You have to, you
- 35:58know, rehearse and practice and understand how to do things in a
- 36:00way where you're not going to actually like potentially really
- 36:04hurt somebody. Now, you feel like having that
- 36:06concept of like an amateur wrestler coming in is not good.
- 36:12This kind of rub clearly. It's like the WWE kind of
- 36:16wrestle. Ya know this is like yeah
- 36:18WrestleMania for greater. Yeah so Rick is I keep I wrote
- 36:24him down as Rick the entire time.
- 36:26Yeah. I was surprised when ever, I was
- 36:27literally the only other time I've heard the name brick as an
- 36:30Anchorman. Yeah, me too.
- 36:32So, yeah, his name is Brick and he cuts himself because he's
- 36:38was, he doing, is he cutting? You don't know.
- 36:40So there are so many things wrong.
- 36:41So, first of all, he opens his box of seasoning and it's just
- 36:46Dust In A Box. There's yeah, it's ashes.
- 36:50That's all it is. This guy is so fucking dumb,
- 36:52dude. Many times.
- 36:54Dude giant canister and then he doesn't like mysteriously Cuts
- 36:59himself and his oh I'm bleeding and hold his hand much more the
- 37:03canister. Yeah, he bleeds into it.
- 37:07So I don't understand why his blood plays any importance of
- 37:11this. I think something something
- 37:14magic. Something something Revival.
- 37:17I don't. Okay.
- 37:18So whatever the blood is in the the ashes now which is Also
- 37:24mixed in with the legitimate. Yeah, baking supplies.
- 37:28Yeah. And then he goes and pours it
- 37:30into the industrial stand mixer and they leave that shit meeting
- 37:35for a long time. It looks so good.
- 37:40Well, Sarah hears, a scream. It's her friend Julie who also
- 37:43works at the bakery. She supposed to be decorating a
- 37:45cake and she isn't and she's like Millard was electrocuted
- 37:51two days ago. How old is your newspaper?
- 37:53How She not have been informed. I think, usually, in a instance
- 37:57like this, like families of victims are kind of given.
- 38:02Yeah. Okay.
- 38:04I didn't, I don't know that etiquette, or the procedures for
- 38:07stuff like that, but yeah, so okay that I guess it gets her
- 38:12closer. She's like, I don't worry about
- 38:14that guy anymore and then she's got to go.
- 38:17Well and she's like, please decorate this cake.
- 38:20I'm very stressed out. And then, Julie sitting there,
- 38:23holding a Piping Bag staring off into the middle distance.
- 38:26And Sarah goes, hey, Julie, the cake and Julie goes.
- 38:32It's the, the dialogue in this movie is really strange, right?
- 38:35Like, it feels like they, I feel like they had like, one take and
- 38:40they were very familiar with their lines.
- 38:43Oh, one of the times? Yeah, well, okay, like this,
- 38:46very next scene, where Betty is out front, she is drinking
- 38:49straight from the bottle and she is shooting.
- 38:51I'm at the building across the street.
- 38:53I do want to give Betty credit here.
- 38:54She's got very good aim, she is just knocking that banner down,
- 38:58and she was, like, that'll teach them.
- 39:00And at first, I'm like, all you're doing is knocking a
- 39:03banner down, but with how angry Jimmy is about it later.
- 39:06I guess it was actually effective.
- 39:08The, it's just a banner for a store that's going to be open
- 39:12Billy. Yeah.
- 39:13Like and she's just shoot, if she's shooting it down.
- 39:17Like, that is. So fucking weird.
- 39:19She's also drinking to. Yeah.
- 39:21And then Sarah comes out there and she's like, Mom, you can't
- 39:24do this and that is just like they're gonna close this down.
- 39:29It's not, right? She says the same thing like
- 39:30three times, so I think that really kind of goes towards your
- 39:33whole. They probably didn't have a ton
- 39:35of time to personalize. Yeah, she was just like, yeah,
- 39:38everything's really. Yeah.
- 39:41Okay. So they get her inside and they
- 39:42put her down to sleep. No I like killer.
- 39:46No, no no, no, no, like that. They put her to rest, not not
- 39:58eternally, they tuck her in, okay?
- 40:05She's too drunk. She needs to go get some sleep,
- 40:07Julie, supposed to be keeping an eye on her.
- 40:10Yeah, we've also been getting little flashes of brick.
- 40:13Practicing his routine as a wrestler.
- 40:17Your ass is toast, he's basically just rehearsing.
- 40:22Yeah. And then Jimmy and his daughter
- 40:24Lorna come up offer Sarah, fifty thousand dollars for the bakery
- 40:30so they can knock it down. And she was just like no we're
- 40:35not taking that and then he was like my daughter won the
- 40:38prettiest face of Waco competition or whatever.
- 40:42The fuck it. Yeah.
- 40:43I'm not even I'm not dumping it down.
- 40:45Yeah. Like it was literally like
- 40:47something that them. Yeah and so she goes back into
- 40:51her. Goes back in and she makes the
- 40:53world's largest gingerbread. Oh my God!
- 40:57Okay they have so much fucking do and then I I just can't
- 41:02imagine Somebody ever wanting to buy a cookie cutter.
- 41:06This big, it just doesn't make sense.
- 41:08It doesn't serve a purpose. Unless you're trying to do, like
- 41:10the Guinness World Book record of biggest gingerbread cookie.
- 41:15It makes me think with how thick that do is.
- 41:18It makes me think of when I was showing her older, nice, how to
- 41:21bake gingerbread cookies last Christmas and she was too
- 41:25impatient for me to roll out the dough and she just kept like
- 41:28cutting out these thick ass cookies and they were they were
- 41:32pretty do even Came out of the oven.
- 41:34Yeah, it's okay. She did.
- 41:36Okay. Yeah.
- 41:37Same. They like they tasted.
- 41:39Okay, they're just not quite as crispy as I normally won't my
- 41:44gingerbread men. So Sarah is decorating.
- 41:48The gingerbread man, giving them little eyes.
- 41:50A little buttons on his chest, giving him a nice little smile,
- 41:54and she shows them in the biggest fucking oven I've ever
- 41:56seen it. An oven that seems unsafe
- 41:59because she just walks into. Yeah, right?
- 42:01It's like a door. Like, okay.
- 42:03Okay, that's like a walk-in freezer but it's an oven.
- 42:06This is like the spiritual sequel to microwave Massacre,
- 42:10like that giant microwave. Yeah, this is the giant oven
- 42:14version of that same manufacturers.
- 42:16I am confused by this oven though because they treat it
- 42:19like that room. Yeah, they walk in sauna or
- 42:22something. Yeah, it's weird.
- 42:24But it's not. It does not.
- 42:26However, the ovens have to be at a minimum, it would have had to
- 42:29be 350 degrees to cook this cookie, realistically.
- 42:33Probably closer to 2450 with how thick that fucking do was.
- 42:36Sorry, I'm not going to get over it.
- 42:40This movie really just asks you not to ask any questions and
- 42:45just or ask every question and let the questions get more and
- 42:48more real. Yeah.
- 42:49Okay. I guess you know some some
- 42:52people may enjoy that more a giant.
- 42:55Yeah, I know you do. Okay, so Lorna trespasses with a
- 43:02rat. Oh yeah.
- 43:04Then Sarah retaliates by throwing a pie in her face.
- 43:08It's like the wettest pie ever. Yeah, it's like just straight up
- 43:12whipped cream and then like maybe some caramel.
- 43:14Yeah, I don't know what it was. It was weird.
- 43:16It starts a whole fight. They start wrestling in the next
- 43:20to the oven and they hit like a power thing.
- 43:27I don't need CI, we're asking questions.
- 43:30We had be doing the know. I don't know what this is, but
- 43:32apparently, we get like a Frankenstein.
- 43:35Yeah. Oh Maj where the oven has a
- 43:39little electricity. Yeah, and then we here at this
- 43:44point, Amos comes in Amos, you know, a mess.
- 43:47We've established him as yeah, sure.
- 43:49It was just, I don't know, I don't know what the fuck is
- 43:53this. He comes in and he was like
- 43:54Lauren I why are you taking so long?
- 43:56I thought you were just leaving a note and said his oh is it?
- 43:58Really a rat. And he goes, oh, and then, and
- 44:01then Lauren is like, there's something in the oven.
- 44:04And then they realized that the oven is like smoking after this
- 44:08power surge so Amos and Sarah, go to open it up and she goes,
- 44:11no whatever's in. There is gonna kill us, which is
- 44:13quite a leap. Oh, yeah.
- 44:15Like I'm she wasn't wrong. But like he had and all
- 44:18rationality. This is quite a leap.
- 44:21Yeah. But she's also had her head hit.
- 44:23She might be oh yeah, loosening. Yeah.
- 44:26Okay. Yeah, they got shocked.
- 44:28They could be experiencing a lot of trauma.
- 44:30Yeah. So when they open this, massive
- 44:33safety risk of an oven, the Cookie Runs Out and they're
- 44:37like, wait what? And he makes some remarks
- 44:40indicating that he knows there. He's gonna get Sarah and he's
- 44:43going to make her pay and they're like, wait, what?
- 44:46And then Lauren it aside. So she's gonna blame Sarah for
- 44:48all this and Sarah's like, it's not my fault that I baked
- 44:52cookies with blood and Ashes mixed into them.
- 44:54Yeah, my straightened out bricks fall and then line is like I
- 44:58know about this kind of stuff because I don't know Ouija board
- 45:00before. Yeah, I know this is like the
- 45:02most. This is probably one of the
- 45:04funniest lines because she talks about how long the message was
- 45:07on the Ouija board and Amos goes.
- 45:10Those things go one letter at a time.
- 45:12Yeah. He's like there's no way you got
- 45:14all that information from the Ouija board.
- 45:16Imagine that was their entire night was just watching you that
- 45:21gently doing a Ouija board and you contact somebody who's just
- 45:24like one of those people that doesn't know what is on top of
- 45:26my God, that would be the word. Time you try and take your
- 45:29fingers off the planchette like they're glued to it.
- 45:31And yeah, keep moving around. All night long.
- 45:35That goes with and you're like, okay well I gotta go now and
- 45:38then just located the conversation, just starts a
- 45:40whole new conversation to give you try and save by five times
- 45:44before you actually get out. Well, I don't know if it's a,
- 45:51they she has some kind of experience with this shit for
- 45:54its magic. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:55Basically is with a chalk, it up to, and then Amos is like Hey,
- 45:59we could get famous with this cookie famous Avis.
- 46:03Yeah, he's wanting to like show it off, I guess.
- 46:05And then Sarah is just nervous about, you know, and
- 46:08anthropomorphic cookie running around.
- 46:10So I decided to look for it. Yeah, exactly.
- 46:13The phones aren't working. So Lorne, I use her cell phone
- 46:18and calls her dad and then her phone dies because she doesn't
- 46:21charge it. I feel it.
- 46:23It's fine. Oh yeah, that was me the other
- 46:25day for sure. So yeah.
- 46:28He's on his way. Yeah, meanwhile, Betty has woken
- 46:31up. She sees the rat in the kitchen
- 46:35and she's like, I gotta go find my gun.
- 46:37But first, let me find my secret stash of alcohol.
- 46:40That's hidden under a pot. I this reminds me of black
- 46:44Christmas with the, the house mother that has all the drinks
- 46:48in their own. So she the gingerbread.
- 46:55Excuse me, dude. You're dead man.
- 46:56She sees him. And she goes up to him and she's
- 47:00got this. Look, I just Euphoria she's on
- 47:04her knees and this guy is like, threatening her the entire time
- 47:08and she goes to poke his belly like the Pillsbury.
- 47:12Exactly. Yeah, exactly what you're
- 47:14talking about. I don't understand this.
- 47:16Why is she, why are you not freaked out about a talking
- 47:18gingerbread, man? It feel like she's not, she
- 47:21hasn't sobered up. Any well still, I mean, even if
- 47:24I were drunk and I saw a gingerbread man talking to me, I
- 47:28would be concerned in question it.
- 47:31I wouldn't be like joyed. I might poke its belly.
- 47:35That's true. Your lipsticks belly.
- 47:36I know how I am as a drunk person.
- 47:38You know, I know that I think about it.
- 47:39Poking bellies is not exactly the most out there with ya for
- 47:45especially for a drunk person. Yeah.
- 47:48Okay. Well yeah, I poke bellies when
- 47:49I'm drunk too, sometimes. Exactly.
- 47:51You're right. All right, I see, you know, I
- 47:53believe this so I she goes in for the Poke and he takes the
- 47:58knife. Knife and cuts off her finger
- 47:59and said, later, we find out that it's her ring finger.
- 48:03Yeah. Right.
- 48:04No sense. Because it's not like she went
- 48:05up to. Okay.
- 48:07I can do it. It's weird.
- 48:08Like, you're not going to be poking anything with that.
- 48:12This is this, I don't like this. Yeah, also see you're holding up
- 48:15your right hand because that's the hand.
- 48:17She was using. Uh-huh.
- 48:20Ring fingers on the left and that's the one that she has
- 48:24wrapped up later, I think. Oh my God.
- 48:25You're right. Yeah, I'm trying.
- 48:28I'm gonna be, she has her. I can't wait.
- 48:30She's okay. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:33Yeah. I think you're right.
- 48:34Either way. I think it's that way.
- 48:35Okay. Her fingers cut off.
- 48:38She falls back into the laundry basket.
- 48:41Yeah, the yeah, the laundry basket.
- 48:43Yeah. And I wanted to make a joke
- 48:45about, you know, how you keep your laundry basket in the
- 48:47kitchen. Yeah, right.
- 48:48We your Laundry basket is currently sitting in our
- 48:51kitchen. Okay.
- 48:53Yeah. But it's not dirty stuff.
- 48:56Everything in there's clean. Okay, you know what?
- 48:59That doesn't make it any better in my laundry is still sitting
- 49:01in the kitchen. I can't talk and I can't talk
- 49:05bad about this way. I've done all this shit, no
- 49:07matter how absurd this stuff is the most granted movie.
- 49:11We have ever covered on the show.
- 49:13It might actually be. Oh my God.
- 49:16Okay, so she falls back into that and he's going in for the
- 49:20kill, but, here's Julie. Yeah, she's coming back and she
- 49:24was like, I'm supposed to be keeping an eye on you.
- 49:26And I figured you come back in the back way it It's been a long
- 49:29time. Julie.
- 49:30She's been in here. Raising a Ruckus for a while.
- 49:33Yeah, and she gets hit, she gets the old frying pan to the head.
- 49:39That old trick. Lorna and Sarah are talking, is
- 49:45Amos goes to his car, to see to get a gun.
- 49:49And she was like, oh well, I don't really like a mess, but
- 49:52I'm not gonna let him flirt with you.
- 49:54Like this is their whole conversation.
- 49:56It's just like I don't know. You guys are being attacked by a
- 49:59cookie. I feel like you can you can set
- 50:00these things aside. Yeah, talk about you know who's
- 50:03going to be bone and Julio. I don't think they want to admit
- 50:07that they're actually facing a cookie right now.
- 50:10They're just Going for distractions, like anything to
- 50:13not acknowledge what's happening.
- 50:15Because like once you admit that you're being chased by a cookie,
- 50:18there's no going back from that. Oh my God.
- 50:21Oh my God. What stick with me for a second?
- 50:25This is a lot. Like the Limp Biscuit song,
- 50:30which did it all for the Nikki for the nookie?
- 50:35Because that's what they're talking about digital for the 0
- 50:38because of the. So you can take that cookie.
- 50:40That's are these actual lyrics Right Here unfortunately.
- 50:45Yes that's an actual. Let's biscuit song.
- 50:49Yeah, did offer the nookie for the cookie?
- 50:53Did it over the Nokia? Come on, the Nokia, come on.
- 50:56So you could take that cookie. It up your ass too.
- 51:04Okay. I can't believe you.
- 51:05Never heard that. I might have.
- 51:07I don't know. I used to.
- 51:08Okay. I did go through a little bit
- 51:09everybody. Yeah.
- 51:10Everybody had a new metal phase in our generation.
- 51:13That's true. Yeah, it's like unavoidable.
- 51:17I think those are the lyrics now.
- 51:18I feel the need to like confirm. Okay.
- 51:21I'm not making an asshole and myself, all right?
- 51:25Okay. Well in the meantime, I'll Go
- 51:27ahead and just say, the gingerbread man cuts the power
- 51:30to the building. So they all decide to go to the
- 51:33generator to get the place quit backup.
- 51:37While this is happening, the owner of the competing store
- 51:40that will be there. One year later pulls up, I guess
- 51:43his name is Jimmy Dean and oh, what?
- 51:48Oh my God, what I really do? Think that the song might be
- 51:52inspired by The Gingerdead, Man? You fucking kidding me.
- 51:55Was this a? I came into this world as a
- 51:57Reject look into these eyes and you'll see the size of the
- 52:01flame, get it because it's like too heated.
- 52:04Yeah. And then baked in the oven,
- 52:05okay? Dwelling on the past, he's
- 52:08trying to get revenge. It's burning on one screen.
- 52:12This is really Revenge by the way that he liked that she
- 52:15didn't die. Is a God damn it.
- 52:17I'll get you for this for not dying.
- 52:20It's not wrong in him in any way.
- 52:24Okay, you got any more lyrics? I mean there's so many more
- 52:27lyrics. Okay, but yeah, yeah, no you
- 52:30might be right? I wouldn't like Fred Durst has
- 52:32done horror movies, but I did it all for the Nike, come on the
- 52:35Nike, come on. So you can take that cookie and
- 52:37stick it up your. Yeah, stick it up your.
- 52:38Yes, to get up here. So, yeah.
- 52:41But I mean, basically, I always thought it was saying ass, but
- 52:46yeah, well, you might be right, like I said, he's done horror
- 52:49movies. He's got a John Travolta, horror
- 52:50movie out there to when the song came out.
- 52:53Okay. Are we talking?
- 52:55And I'm going to, I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
- 52:57Okay, well, we're talking about the part where your favorite
- 53:01absurd moment happens where the guy gets out of the car and the
- 53:05gingerbread man gets in the car and fashion, some kind of little
- 53:09thing to where he can reach the pedals.
- 53:11Petals and he like drives into him into the building and kills
- 53:16him. All right, I need some help.
- 53:19Jesse, I need, I need somebody to work with here.
- 53:22Okay, hold on. I'm just, I need to know when
- 53:25this year came out. All right.
- 53:26Well, this is why I've an unedited because he's like, have
- 53:28by no, I'm okay release date. Here we go.
- 53:32Here it is 1999. Maybe the movie was inspired by
- 53:35Nike, maybe maybe. I'm glad we got to the bottom of
- 53:38that. Okay, so what happens are you
- 53:43weren't even listening? Dude?
- 53:46Why did you even tell me to do anything?
- 53:48He said, it was my favorite part where he is driving the car and
- 53:51he hits learn his dad. Yes.
- 53:54Tell us what happens? Yes, he's dead now.
- 54:00Amos and Sarah are talking. She mentions how she punched him
- 54:04as a child because he tried to kiss her.
- 54:06Yeah, bitch, you know what, if you don't want to be kissed,
- 54:09that's an appropriate reaction. Action his reaction to that is.
- 54:11Maybe I get turned on when women hit me.
- 54:14That's what he says to her. Yes, sir.
- 54:16Sir. You guys were six.
- 54:18Yeah. Right.
- 54:19What the fuck? Yeah.
- 54:20That's that's that's a weird thing that's like to say, see
- 54:25and that's what I'm saying. Like there's one way to like
- 54:29misinterpret signs go in for a kiss and then be rejected.
- 54:33I'm not saying that you should always automatically go for the
- 54:36punching, but if this is his way of flirting is saying I like
- 54:39being hit. Yeah.
- 54:40Yeah. Yeah.
- 54:42He's like he's trying to be kinky.
- 54:44Hmm. Either way he sees a blood trail
- 54:48and he follows it. Yeah.
- 54:51Lorna meanwhile has gone outside.
- 54:53Found her dead dad stolen his jewelry.
- 54:55Uh, come back inside. Get her.
- 54:58She did. I know it was like it's reading,
- 55:00right? Basically, until she one of
- 55:02those like something to remember him by where it's just going to
- 55:06pawn it later. She's definitely going to use it
- 55:08for money. Yeah, probably.
- 55:10So she comes back and she's yelling at them for not having
- 55:12fixed the generator. It didn't have any gas.
- 55:16They see this trail of blood they go today, freezer follow
- 55:21it. Yeah, and Lauren is like, you
- 55:22guys are crazy. I'm not gonna stay here while
- 55:25you do this and this freezer is like this, I believe because
- 55:30walk-in freezers, I think that's a thing.
- 55:32Yeah, they find Julie's body. She's covered in whipped cream.
- 55:35Yeah, I don't get it. I don't understand what the
- 55:40ginger. Bread man was trying to do make
- 55:42her extra cold, maybe, I don't know like that.
- 55:46There's, there's other ways to do that.
- 55:48Yeah, water. Maybe like that works really
- 55:51well in the freezer. Yeah.
- 55:53So they pull her out and they're trying to like she's still alive
- 55:57but they figure she's been hit on the head and this is where
- 56:00serious. Like, yeah, I've been going to
- 56:02night classes. I'm thinking about becoming a
- 56:03nurse. It's like saying yeah.
- 56:06Because you know, is how to like read her healthier like yeah.
- 56:10Cause she's an expert now. She's been taking classes or
- 56:12yeah. She doesn't interest.
- 56:13Yeah, she took biology 101. Yeah, she does it.
- 56:18She does how people operate. And then he was says, you are
- 56:21pretty and smart, and could be the prettiest smartest surgeon
- 56:24if you wanted to be. And that makes her party.
- 56:28So they tell you, yeah, meanwhile, Lorna freaking out
- 56:32about her. Dad comes back on the front of
- 56:34the bakery gets her face cut facing.
- 56:38Pretty no more. If that's not true.
- 56:40Yeah. She's so very pretty.
- 56:41Yeah, and it's not very good. Fake blood know, what is?
- 56:45Sorry. Jason.
- 56:45Yeah. It's like a bright bright,
- 56:48bright red. And it's very thin.
- 56:50Yeah, it is very thin. Yeah.
- 56:52Like a one Cody water? Yeah.
- 56:54Yeah. It's not good.
- 56:56So I'm surprised she survived that though because she like
- 56:59runs downstairs and then interrupts Amos and Sarah's will
- 57:04smooshing session. Yeah.
- 57:05And she's like I've been cut now, I'm not the prettiest face
- 57:08of Waco. I'm mad.
- 57:12I'm going to walk away into this very obvious trap, like there's
- 57:16a rope, do not like fishing line.
- 57:18Like it's a full-on rope. She walks into it.
- 57:20Get stabbed in the head. I don't know how the Gingerdead
- 57:23man who's had time for all of these hijinks.
- 57:25I know. Right.
- 57:26Like he's he's a little boys. All this shit.
- 57:31How is he getting around that fast?
- 57:32He's not the smart. There's no way.
- 57:36Oh, I don't know, maybe he watched a lot of home alone.
- 57:39I'm Abi Do the same thing. You know you see that you watch
- 57:42Macaulay Culkin, you're like he's a little boy, he's got tiny
- 57:45legs. Surely he's not that smart, he
- 57:47doesn't have an advanced understanding of engineering.
- 57:49You know why you're right. He's probably watch them alone
- 57:52because like this is how I die kid.
- 57:54That is not big enough to do this stuff to take on these
- 57:57people himself because he's a tiny little gingerbread man.
- 58:00Like, he doesn't have the strength.
- 58:01He does not have the size on his side.
- 58:02He has to get creative. Another title would be the
- 58:05Christmas movie? Yes boo.
- 58:08Yeah. So Now milord is taunting Amos
- 58:13and Sarah in a mouse and mouse. This is a weird scene Sarah
- 58:18finds her mom's wedding ring and then Millard saves.
- 58:25She's a real smart cookie and that prompts her to go check the
- 58:28oven. I don't get this chain of
- 58:29events, but yeah, she goes into the oven room, I guess I'm Sana.
- 58:34Yeah. And the mom is just kind of lay
- 58:36it in there. So they're like, all right,
- 58:38let's get her out and then they get her out and then Then the
- 58:40gingerbread man takes that opportunity to walk Sarah in the
- 58:44oven and turn up the heat, and this seems to have little to no
- 58:47effect on her. Yeah, she seems totally fine to
- 58:50be in an oven. She's sweaty, and she cries a
- 58:52little bit, and then she gets out.
- 58:54Yeah, she's able to Amos is knocked down and he takes his
- 58:58gun and shoots the door, not like in any particular spot that
- 59:01would be helpful but apparently, it opens the door.
- 59:04So Sarah can now get out of the oven.
- 59:07And fuck. What happens here.
- 59:11Is this where break comes in? Yes, we're bridge jumps is
- 59:14super, it comes in and Julie wakes up and Betty wakes up
- 59:18everything just happens all at once.
- 59:19Yeah, so break jumps in the butcher, Baker prepare to meet
- 59:23your maker or whatever the fuck it is.
- 59:25He says, and he wrassles the cookie to the ground.
- 59:30And apparently the only way he can think of to permanently stop
- 59:34the cookies to eat its head. You think he would try this
- 59:37move? Of in the wrestling ring against
- 59:38like an actual poet. Maybe like he maybe that's what
- 59:41he would do. Like he's like I eat people.
- 59:43I am the baker. I will bake you.
- 59:45His tomania Guinea ack. Yeah, so I don't know, I don't
- 59:51know, it's weird and it's disturbing and I think this is
- 59:55not acting from anybody on the set when they look super
- 59:59horrified because they've been told what the scene is actually
- 1:00:02going to be in there. Like what?
- 1:00:03Yeah do you think? Because we see that he's got
- 1:00:09blood. Do you think he's got like
- 1:00:13squishy eyeballs? Do you think his teeth?
- 1:00:16Are your bone? Like, yeah.
- 1:00:23Probably, does he have any properties of a skull?
- 1:00:28Yes, because he's got that like formation in the center of his
- 1:00:32head there. I feel like it can also be kind
- 1:00:35of like an exoskeleton situation.
- 1:00:37That's also true. This is a new species.
- 1:00:41We have not had a chance to dissect it.
- 1:00:43Let's try it and explore it. And well now we're not going to
- 1:00:47get a chance. It's because he ate it and then
- 1:00:49now that's he's overcome with the spirit of milord.
- 1:00:54Yeah. This somehow has him possessed
- 1:00:57by Bye. Yeah.
- 1:00:59So then he attacks Sarah and then what can old Buffy vampire
- 1:01:03like? Yeah.
- 1:01:04And then he tries to like liquor with his blue tongue.
- 1:01:07Yeah. So he's got fruit, punch mouth.
- 1:01:09But he's got like the blue Kool-Aid, fruit.
- 1:01:11Punch mouth. Yeah, it just fit it.
- 1:01:13Trout Amos comes in and throws him off of her.
- 1:01:17And then, while this is happening, they all team up on
- 1:01:21brick and push him into the oven then, walk em in there.
- 1:01:26And then Betty goes, I have third-degree Burns and nine
- 1:01:30fingers, can I please go to the hospital?
- 1:01:32Yeah, but she looks okay, right, I got some scabs and likewise,
- 1:01:37she's they did not make any attempt to, like, do any type of
- 1:01:42burn makeup at all. I don't, I don't know.
- 1:01:44I can't, I cannot explain those to you like.
- 1:01:47See, - effort here. This is.
- 1:01:50This is the part where they don't want you to ask any
- 1:01:52question. Yeah, they really don't.
- 1:01:54Yeah, you don't do anything here.
- 1:01:56And then they cut to to sometime later.
- 1:02:00They're having a big sale. Outside of the bakery.
- 1:02:06Why? I don't know.
- 1:02:08It's so weird. You have a perfect venue five
- 1:02:11feet behind. Yeah, right.
- 1:02:13You can still do a bake sale inside of your building or maybe
- 1:02:16it's only been like, a day and like, there's a lot of shit
- 1:02:18that's still needed. Cleaned up inside there.
- 1:02:21I don't need a couple people been cooking in there.
- 1:02:24It's like a smell too good. That's true.
- 1:02:27I don't know. Anyways, some kids ask for
- 1:02:29gingerbread men and they find a box of them and all of a sudden,
- 1:02:33the Develop eyes and that's it. It's really, really bad.
- 1:02:39Do I smell sequel? Yeah, it's very much
- 1:02:42thankskilling ending energy here but yeah, that's how it ends.
- 1:02:47Yeah, and they're also the bake sale.
- 1:02:49By the way is not for the bakery to help repair the damages or
- 1:02:55you know the bills for Betty or funeral costs for Brick.
- 1:03:01It is for the hospital. Yeah.
- 1:03:04Yeah, right in the nurses, there's two nurses that are just
- 1:03:06there. And they're like, look at Betty.
- 1:03:09She looks so good. Like she looks like you took the
- 1:03:12to fake scabs off of her face and boom.
- 1:03:15Same. Yeah.
- 1:03:16They did not put any thought into this.
- 1:03:18They like they're like okay, gingerbread man and they're like
- 1:03:22we are going to tell not show about Betty's growth.
- 1:03:26Yeah, it's so strange. Okay.
- 1:03:30All right. How do you feel about it after
- 1:03:31talking about it? Honestly, about the same.
- 1:03:35Oh yeah. Like I didn't think we would Be
- 1:03:38able to. I thought we was really going to
- 1:03:40be under there in the middle aside from my Limp Biscuit
- 1:03:45Divergence. I thought that we were gonna
- 1:03:50kind of really loose Anything to talk about there in the middle
- 1:03:54and we didn't know, we could have gave cliff notes of this
- 1:03:57whole thing, right? Like we touched on all the
- 1:03:59highlights. There are a lot of like, weird
- 1:04:03like the whole scene with the mouse.
- 1:04:04It's kind of weird. It doesn't add anything.
- 1:04:07He's just antagonizing a mouse. Yeah, you know, like it's not
- 1:04:10necessary. Yeah.
- 1:04:11But they needed some time to fill this movie, like they were
- 1:04:15struggling to get enough minutes in bike.
- 1:04:17Make this a feature. I do wish that they were like
- 1:04:20more deaths. Yeah, there's no, what it's It's
- 1:04:23Jimmy and brick and the kind of milord.
- 1:04:26Yeah. Yeah, his head gets enough.
- 1:04:29Yeah. But then he transfers into brick
- 1:04:31and the like and then we've got the cookies at then.
- 1:04:34I don't know, I don't know. But the implication is that
- 1:04:37Miller's Mom dropped those cookies off.
- 1:04:39So that's why I think we're going to get more of her.
- 1:04:41And that's right, right. Yeah, okay.
- 1:04:45Well thank you. Did it five?
- 1:04:47Okay. I'll make my own like a 4.5
- 1:04:53because I do feel like like I I get trying and I don't know if
- 1:04:58you're trying to be bad here with this movie, but like
- 1:05:02there's just like no care put into the details.
- 1:05:06It feels very rushed. It just, I don't know, like a
- 1:05:12put it up like a half-hearted effort for this and I like the
- 1:05:16premise. I feel like that and Gary Busey
- 1:05:19and Character, all that alone, carries it enough to be still
- 1:05:22entertaining but if I'm going to like actually read it.
- 1:05:25Yeah, 4.5 feels right. Okay, okay.
- 1:05:31Travis. I think I know this.
- 1:05:34Who did you relate to? Oh, I thought we were going to
- 1:05:37scout. No, I'm gonna say that one.
- 1:05:39Okay. I really needed to Brick because
- 1:05:42I have poor knife etiquette with cutting things in the kitchen.
- 1:05:46I've cut myself before and I've done in the past and I will do
- 1:05:50it in the future also. Okay, bye-bye.
- 1:05:55I really needed to Who did I really do II guess?
- 1:06:05I probably related to Betty because of the whole impulse to
- 1:06:08poke the belly. Oh, yeah, it's time.
- 1:06:11That's an easy one. Yeah.
- 1:06:13That was like a surprisingly relatable moment, right?
- 1:06:15Yeah. I was like, one of the more
- 1:06:18human moments of the whole movie.
- 1:06:19Yeah. That's the one that really made
- 1:06:20me feel like it was a grounded movie.
- 1:06:22Yeah. Okay.
- 1:06:25All right Scouts. Yeah.
- 1:06:26What was scouts favorite part of this movie?
- 1:06:28Jasmine. Favorite part was, when Betty
- 1:06:30was in the oven because she likes to be on the oven and get
- 1:06:32burnt no dummy. What does Scouts favorite part
- 1:06:36was? Obviously, when they were
- 1:06:38kneading the dough? Yes.
- 1:06:42I feel like both of those. It's like the oven because like
- 1:06:45any time we have the oven on Scout loves to get on top of it
- 1:06:48because it's just warm scallops were stuck.
- 1:06:51Yeah. Remember that time that I walked
- 1:06:53over to her washer and dryer and started a load of laundry in the
- 1:06:58washing. Washing machine?
- 1:07:00Yeah, and she thought I was starting the dryer, and when I
- 1:07:03sold her, the dryer wasn't on. She me out at me and I'm still
- 1:07:07got mad. That's like I give it 30 minutes
- 1:07:11this extra warmth. She does.
- 1:07:14Okay. Well this movie has plenty of
- 1:07:16sequels. What do you want?
- 1:07:18Do you want the mother and sequels.
- 1:07:21I feel like we meet that. Yeah yeah.
- 1:07:23Like I said there's very much an aspect to Millard.
- 1:07:26That is His mom is important to his character Arc, I guess it
- 1:07:32would be okay to get a little bit of background.
- 1:07:34You don't really need background for The Killers.
- 1:07:36Usually, I don't need the background.
- 1:07:38I just like she's still actively a part of his murder streak.
- 1:07:42Okay, true. So yeah, what's her role?
- 1:07:45Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:07:46Other than making demonic cookies.
- 1:07:48Yeah, and I would like to see Like I know sir, I know the
- 1:07:57actress that plays Sarah's and several, this equals.
- 1:07:59I didn't see if it was the same character or not the ladies like
- 1:08:03that, it's not necessarily a given that they playing the same
- 1:08:05character, but if she is playing the same character, I'd like to
- 1:08:09see her, you know, maybe. And we're going to do a Sidney
- 1:08:13Prescott, and she's gonna go to school and feel like she's
- 1:08:16feeling things a little bit. And if the Gingerdead Man,
- 1:08:18followed her to college, I would love that.
- 1:08:20That would be Be amazing. Like, and it would be so easy to
- 1:08:23do. Because think about all the
- 1:08:24times in the dorm the military, we got snacks in the common area
- 1:08:27for everybody and like, one of them who's like, Sony's, like,
- 1:08:30who brought this giant cookie? It's kind of a weird.
- 1:08:33Oh, my God. Yes, this one.
- 1:08:35It would ya if they haven't made one of those yet.
- 1:08:37There's your idea Charles right there.
- 1:08:40Higher hires hire us. Yeah.
- 1:08:44Okay. So that was the time I guess to
- 1:08:50be or not to be Jesse. How do you feel about it?
- 1:08:54I would re-watch this. Yeah, yes, I would read watch
- 1:08:57it. I definitely want to watch at
- 1:09:01least some of the sequels, if not all of them eventually, but
- 1:09:06I feel like this is one that like, it would be dumb harmless
- 1:09:10fun to have on in the background.
- 1:09:12Yeah, I feel the same way. I think I would watch this
- 1:09:15again. Another question, would you show
- 1:09:18this to anybody? Would you actually put this on
- 1:09:22for like people? They're like, I want to watch
- 1:09:24something like stupid tonight. It probably wouldn't be my first
- 1:09:29suggestion, okay? But I wouldn't not show it to
- 1:09:33people like if we're scraping the bottom of the barrel.
- 1:09:35Like if we have friends over and they're just like You know, not
- 1:09:41big into scary movies, but they were big and too stupid things.
- 1:09:44Like, this is a good one. Yeah, it would be okay.
- 1:09:47If I feel like there are better options.
- 1:09:49Yeah, but I wouldn't, yeah, I give somebody saw this on her
- 1:09:52shelf. If we ever had this.
- 1:09:54Like, I wouldn't be embarrassed. Yeah, and I kind of, you know,
- 1:09:57if someone's like, oh, what's this?
- 1:09:58Like, can we watch out? Yeah, sure.
- 1:09:59Fuck. Yeah.
- 1:10:00Like you're about to experience Gary Busey be a gingerbread
- 1:10:03cookie. Yeah.
- 1:10:04And I mean, like I said, we haven't watched the sequel's
- 1:10:06yet. So, potentially watching the
- 1:10:08sequels will change my answer. I feel like well, yeah.
- 1:10:10I would maybe show them this one but I'd rather show them part
- 1:10:13whatever. Yeah.
- 1:10:14The one where they go to college?
- 1:10:16Yeah, yeah. Or go to space.
- 1:10:20Maybe they've done that too. They might have the probably
- 1:10:22have he fight our? We know that he fights an evil
- 1:10:25bong at one point. That's true.
- 1:10:27Yeah, I mean, the possibilities are endless.
- 1:10:29You really are. Okay.
- 1:10:32Alright. I think that's it for this one.
- 1:10:34Yeah. So on the Main feed on Thursday,
- 1:10:38we will have Halloween kills. Yes.
- 1:10:41So be on the lookout for that. We finally have our December

- 1:12:58Yeah, we had the actual, our first patrons pick.
- 1:13:01It's not a Jack Frost. Yeah.
- 1:13:02So that was, that was That's for a budget level.

- 1:13:11each month? Which we talked about?
- 1:13:12Stay wife, the unrated version. Yes, the mythical copy that.
- 1:13:16We only found out in the wild Are Holy Grail?
- 1:13:19Yes. As fun.
- 1:13:20Yeah, like I really liked how that episode turned out.
- 1:13:23Yeah, that it up being fun, I don't think we're doing episode
- 1:13:26taglines for our to be or not to be episodes.
- 1:13:27Are we by the way? I know.
- 1:13:29Okay. Okay, yeah, we're not doing art
- 1:13:31for it, so we're not going to put tagline on the cover, okay?
