- 0:00Eric: This podcast was created by fans or fans and is not affiliated with or sponsored by Hallmark or the Hallmark channel.
- 0:09Eric: This is Eric.
- 0:12Sydney: And this is Sydney.
- 0:14Eric: And this is Hallmark Mysteries and more.
- 0:17Eric: Okay, sydney, how have you been?
- 0:23Eric: It's been a while, it's been a minute since we've seen you.
- 0:26Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 0:27Sydney: I wish I could say it's all been sparkly, rainbows and unicorns, but moving and being pregnant and also having a full-time job has been a nightmare.
- 0:37Sydney: I could use more Hallmark touches in my life right now.
- 0:43Eric: Well, in Hallmark world, you don't have to worry about any of those things Plus we were just talking before we started recording.
- 0:51Eric: You're dealing with your own mystery the mystery garbage man.
- 0:57Sydney: Yeah, the mystery of where are my trash bins.
- 1:00Eric: Where are they?
- 1:01Eric: Someone come take my garbage?
- 1:04Sydney: Please.
- 1:05Sydney: And then it's a Friday, so of course you can't get anyone from waste management.
- 1:12Eric: Man, I'm sorry.
- 1:13Eric: All right, so today's episode, because we're kind of a hiatus before any new mysteries start.
- 1:21Eric: We're just going to have fun, and Sydney and I each prepared 10 questions for the other one, and we don't know what those questions are.
- 1:31Eric: It could be something very silly, it could be serious, it could be anything, yeah.
- 1:37Eric: But while we are in this little hiatus, we did get some news of a new mystery that's coming out True Justice, family ties starring Catherine McNamara, and then it has what's the dude's name?
- 1:53Sydney: I can't say that, but he's cute.
- 1:59Eric: Yeah, he was in like one other one that I remember him from and he was pretty good.
- 2:03Eric: But the interesting thing is, it seems we don't really know too many details yet, but it seems like Nicky Delosh and Benjamin Ayers are kind of supporting.
- 2:15Eric: I mean, those are like Hallmark royalty and it seems like they have secondary roles in this one, which is interesting.
- 2:22Sydney: I kind of like them in those like wise, like for backup, for lack of a better way of putting it, like wise elder positions, like guiding them along.
- 2:36Eric: Yeah, so so it's Catherine McNamara, who obviously was from Love Classified.
- 2:42Eric: I'll be honest, I'm not not hating that she's coming in.
- 2:47Eric: She, she was great in that.
- 2:50Eric: She's not too hard on the eyes either, which isn't the worst.
- 2:54Eric: But so she's a law student and I don't know who the guy is if he's like a fellow law student.
- 3:00Eric: But then Benjamin is the DA and Nicky's a professor.
- 3:06Sydney: Yeah, and I love this.
- 3:07Sydney: I love.
- 3:08Sydney: I love that no one's a detective.
- 3:10Sydney: I think this was something that we might have discussed like maybe there needs to be more.
- 3:15Eric: Well, I don't know, maybe that is that guy, a detective Like.
- 3:18Eric: I don't know who he is, other than they just said his name.
- 3:22Sydney: I didn't I bet you, he's just like an assistant.
- 3:25Eric: DA, or maybe yeah, I don't know.
- 3:27Eric: Yeah, I don't know, but I'm excited early January.
- 3:31Eric: So that will be our first new movie we get a chance to watch and review, but until then we just get to talk about some other fun stuff.
- 3:39Eric: So yeah, let's get into this rapid round of questions.
- 3:46Eric: By the way, what's it?
- 3:48Eric: Sorry, before we dive into it, I did do my little passive, aggressive post about it, where I'm like I'm excited to be getting this new mystery, but, damn it, give me one of the, give me a second episode of one of them.
- 4:02Sydney: Which one?
- 4:03Eric: This doesn't count as one of our questions, but which of the lingering one episodes out there do you most want this to have the follow up?
- 4:14Eric: I'm still on the cut color, murder All right, I knew you were going to say it.
- 4:21Sydney: I know what you're going to say too, but you go ahead.
- 4:24Eric: What are you?
- 4:25Eric: You go ahead and guess.
- 4:28Sydney: Nora.
- 4:29Eric: Okay, I'm transparent.
- 4:32Sydney: Oh, you just left those two ladies, that's all.
- 4:36Eric: I'm actually starting to feel a little badly because we're known in fish, is starting to like back on my hallmark movie review or the you know my romcom stuff that I just do.
- 4:48Eric: She's starting to engage and, like my posts, she resharing something.
- 4:53Eric: So I'm thinking she may be getting a little bit of a crush on me and I I'm really not sure how to handle that because I don't want to hurt her.
- 5:03Sydney: Is this?
- 5:03Sydney: Is this a bad time to say that, like she has liked some of my stuff that I posted about her and maybe you're not yeah, but it's different, it's different.
- 5:12Eric: I can tell her feelings.
- 5:16Sydney: Okay.
- 5:17Eric: Right.
- 5:18Sydney: Yeah.
- 5:19Eric: So I think she's.
- 5:21Eric: Yes, I'm probably going to blow it down a little easy, but yes, I do love this too, but I will say why.
- 5:28Eric: Yes, Nikki Nora is the one I most want.
- 5:31Eric: Cases of mystery lanes not too far behind.
- 5:38Sydney: Oh well, I thought, for sure we'll get another one of those.
- 5:41Sydney: I'm not even thinking about that as like a.
- 5:43Eric: You can't say for sure, we don't know anything.
- 5:46Sydney: Well, that would be so dumb.
- 5:46Sydney: I mean not that Hallmark has been really smart lately about these mysteries, but Actually we do know.
- 5:53Sydney: What.
- 5:55Eric: Because we were given some top secret information which we can't say.
- 5:59Eric: If you recall, we do know one.
- 6:07Sydney: You know I only have a real short memory these days.
- 6:10Eric: Okay, well, we're sworn to secrecy so I'll have to tie off her.
- 6:15Eric: Okay, let's get into our questions.
- 6:20Eric: I will let you go first.
- 6:25Sydney: Okay, eric, what is your favorite Christmas cookie?
- 6:29Eric: What is my favorite Christmas cookie?
- 6:31Eric: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:34Sydney: It is the season.
- 6:36Eric: I'm going to probably have to just be super boring and just go chocolate chip.
- 6:40Eric: You are, but obviously with some nice little red and Wow, red and green, because I'm going to say the only real Christmas cookie no, no, no, no, no, no Gingerbread cookie, that's Christmas right.
- 6:55Eric: Because, you're asking the Jew what his favorite Christmas cookie is.
- 6:59Sydney: Okay, I'm going to have a lot of, but the gingerbread are.
- 7:03Eric: That's like a Christmas cookie, like a gingerbread snap type thing, right.
- 7:06Eric: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, all day, every day.
- 7:08Eric: Those are delicious, good, Absolutely delicious.
- 7:11Eric: I almost had said like Oreo, because that's my favorite cookie.
- 7:16Eric: Wow, did they make a Christmas Oreo?
- 7:20Sydney: I think they probably do.
- 7:21Eric: They make like so many random ones now, so yeah.
- 7:25Eric: Okay, so I am going to incorporate your new situation in your other hallmark persona is living the hallmark dream.
- 7:39Sydney: Yeah.
- 7:40Eric: So you are now owning your own home.
- 7:44Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 7:45Eric: So tell me how you are incorporating the hallmark dream into your new home.
- 7:52Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 7:52Sydney: Well, right now it just doesn't feel as living the hallmark dream I'm giving you your plans.
- 7:59Eric: You don't have to Like, you're just moved in.
- 8:03Sydney: I don't expect it to be showroom ready, but I think, just when you look at all those sets on the hallmark movies, I'm definitely drawing inspiration from there.
- 8:14Sydney: I love like pops of turquoise and I love, you know, the pastels and I love like the cutesy wallpaper and things like that.
- 8:26Sydney: And, of course, I have my cat with me.
- 8:29Sydney: She's my Moisha, yes, my version of Moisha, and so we have a nice cat tree for her, which I will say was maybe a little bit inspired by the most.
- 8:41Sydney: Why don't the semi most recent episode of Murder Shaped?
- 8:46Eric: When Micah gave it.
- 8:48Sydney: Yeah, I thought I need to have a cat tree for Noel so that she's more adjusted, and so, yeah, I'm picking up on stuff.
- 8:59Sydney: It's definitely a work in progress.
- 9:03Eric: So the two things that have stuck out with me and what I was waiting to see with your answer were the turquoise, and you said it.
- 9:12Eric: You use the color the turquoise phone from I believe that was the red the very beginning, right.
- 9:18Eric: The family history mysteries yeah Right.
- 9:21Eric: And then the different lamps on the bed tables.
- 9:28Sydney: Yeah.
- 9:29Eric: So I expect, I expect you to have that going.
- 9:31Sydney: Those lamps that are on are because I'm trying to go room by room and the master is like the first spot.
- 9:39Sydney: But those night table lamps are matching, so they're not different but they're cute and eclectic looking.
- 9:49Eric: So Okay, I am disappointed.
- 9:52Eric: Okay, my second question.
- 9:55Eric: Oh wait, I go second Now you know, you know, you went first, I go second, first and second, and then you go there.
- 10:03Eric: We take.
- 10:03Sydney: Oh, okay, all right.
- 10:05Eric: I'm just so subtle.
- 10:08Sydney: Oh, I go.
- 10:09Eric: Oh, geez, okay.
- 10:10Eric: So right here, right now, you are pregnant.
- 10:16Eric: Yeah, you're having a baby right here, right now.
- 10:19Eric: Can we name them?
- 10:20Eric: And if it's a boy, brennan, and if it's a girl, brooke, right now, let's decide.
- 10:26Eric: That's it.
- 10:28Sydney: It is a girl, but I'm.
- 10:31Sydney: I already have a name it's a, it's Lucette.
- 10:36Eric: That doesn't match anything.
- 10:40Sydney: It's, it's my name for her, lucette, and then we'll call her Lucy, but.
- 10:47Eric: I ask your question.
- 10:50Eric: Ask your question.
- 10:51Sydney: Okay, if you could invite anyone, dead or alive, to dinner, who would it be?
- 10:58Eric: Well, I have like my little emotional one and then I have my fun one, so I'll do with the emotional one is, my best friend was unfortunately killed when he was 19 years old in a traffic accident.
- 11:17Eric: So it would be fantastic for him to be able to, whatever, come in back and enjoy some more time with him, because his life was cut way, way, way too short.
- 11:29Eric: That's the serious answer.
- 11:32Eric: The other answer for a little more fun answer is going to be Elvis, because Elvis is just Elvis and that would be awesome, just hanging with the king.
- 11:45Eric: We'd go Viva Las Vegas for some all you can eat buffet.
- 11:53Eric: He'd be getting his peanut butter and fried banana sandwiches, viva Las Vegas, and Margaret would show up and we'd have a great all time.
- 12:02Eric: So I would go with Elvis.
- 12:04Sydney: Nice, I like that All right, oh, okay.
- 12:08Sydney: Number three are you a morning or evening person?
- 12:18Eric: Oh, this is so easy.
- 12:20Eric: I'm way too much of a morning person.
- 12:23Eric: Since I wake up, Some are usually between 3.30 and 4.
- 12:27Eric: I take my nap probably around 6.30 at night and I go to sleep sleep probably around 9 o'clock.
- 12:39Eric: I'm pushing it at 9 o'clock at night.
- 12:42Sydney: Wow.
- 12:43Eric: I am definitely a morning person and I have to, at work with everyone who's new, warn them that when I send them a message I don't text them.
- 12:54Eric: I send them a Teams message or whatever I'm like.
- 12:56Eric: Don't worry, I do not expect you to answer any time, it's just I'm awake and I'm getting something off my mind.
- 13:03Eric: I learned that at an old job.
- 13:06Eric: I would send a message and people started freaking out, thinking I was testing them.
- 13:12Eric: They started responding early and I was like, oh great, Everyone's awake.
- 13:17Eric: I later found out no, they were just because I was the boss.
- 13:20Eric: They had to do it.
- 13:23Eric: I've learned my lesson that I don't do my thing.
- 13:27Eric: What's crazy is my boss is also a crazy morning person.
- 13:34Eric: I, unfortunately he'll send me a message and I'll respond by 4.15 in the morning.
- 13:42Eric: I'm full-fledged working away in some days.
- 13:46Sydney: That is too much.
- 13:49Eric: I got into it because back when I was running like marathons and training out here in Arizona, you just have to wake up early to beat the heat.
- 13:58Eric: Once I got that routine, I couldn't go back, unfortunately.
- 14:04Eric: Back to your house.
- 14:07Eric: You built this wonderful brand new house that you designed custom from floor up.
- 14:15Eric: Have you put in a space where you're going to be able to record the podcast, where we're not going to be listening to your husband do the dishes in the background?
- 14:30Sydney: Actually, I'm surprised you can't hear him right now.
- 14:33Sydney: He's putting together a file cabinet.
- 14:34Sydney: I think this room will work.
- 14:40Sydney: If not, I'll just move into this room.
- 14:43Sydney: The room has a walk-in closet, so I'll just be in the walk-in closet.
- 14:49Eric: You know, what's funny about that is when, way back when I was watching all the YouTube videos of how to set up a podcast, there was one of the women was saying, oh yeah, you got to get the quiet place.
- 14:59Eric: She was saying that's what she did for her first year.
- 15:02Eric: Was her closet, was her studio, because it also had a lot of clothes.
- 15:07Eric: It gave some great dampening and stuff.
- 15:10Eric: But I was just laughing about seeing, like, if you saw my house, my house or Phoenix standard is old and the closets are very small.
- 15:21Eric: I just had this vision of this person being huddled, basically with no room to move clothes on them, trying to record her podcast.
- 15:31Eric: That could be.
- 15:32Eric: You Probably will be.
- 15:34Eric: Now the tough questions are getting a little tougher and I've got a three-part question.
- 15:42Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 15:44Eric: You have a reservation for four.
- 15:46Eric: I did this in our Instagram, but so I'm throwing it at you.
- 15:49Eric: You have a reservation for four at this swanky LA restaurant.
- 15:53Eric: You can invite three Hallmark actors.
- 15:55Eric: The actors can be male or female.
- 15:58Eric: Who are you bringing with you?
- 16:02Sydney: Well, brennan Elliott, for sure, that was easy.
- 16:06Sydney: Well, I think I would actually want to bring Lacey, because I'm I like her from other things too.
- 16:18Sydney: I think it would just be really interesting to talk to her.
- 16:22Sydney: Um, and who else?
- 16:28Sydney: No, it's tough.
- 16:30Sydney: I'm going between, like, barbara Niven and Dylan McNeal.
- 16:37Eric: Can't go, can't go wrong.
- 16:38Eric: I do.
- 16:38Sydney: Dylan McNeal would be one of mine, but Of course, yeah, um, I feel like it's hard, but either one of those.
- 16:47Eric: Barbara would be good, because?
- 16:49Eric: Well, here then I'll let you just pick one.
- 16:53Sydney: Okay, I'll pick Barbara.
- 16:55Eric: Okay.
- 16:55Eric: So the second part of the question is what three hallmark mystery characters would you bring?
- 17:02Eric: So not the actor, the character, oh, okay, well, obviously, um.
- 17:09Sydney: you know Dylan's character from Gourmet Detective.
- 17:13Eric: Henry Ross.
- 17:14Sydney: Yes, uh, this is tough.
- 17:21Sydney: Well, I'd like to bring Shannon Hughes from Fixer Upper Mysteries, because she might just whip out her guitar and serenades.
- 17:30Eric: If you did not choose her?
- 17:32Eric: I was just going to fall out of my chair.
- 17:34Sydney: Oh my gosh, um.
- 17:37Sydney: And then I'd probably pick um all all all then case, because he would just be so adorably awkward, because he'd be like, why am I here?
- 17:54Eric: Great, great picks, great picks.
- 17:56Eric: Okay, and then the last part of the question is who's your hall pass?
- 18:01Eric: Who's your hall pass Brennan Elliott or Steve Basic?
- 18:06Sydney: Oh, you did not do that I did.
- 18:10Eric: I've got my hall pass though.
- 18:12Eric: I made it very clear to my whole family knows that that bro burns is my hall pass.
- 18:18Sydney: Yes, we know that.
- 18:20Sydney: Um, oh, my gosh, that's hard.
- 18:23Sydney: I think I'd say Brennan, because I just like.
- 18:27Sydney: I think I'd like talking to him more.
- 18:31Eric: He was.
- 18:31Eric: Yeah, it was just like I had someone who mentioned him and said he's like, seems like such a good guy and I was like he really is.
- 18:42Eric: Like after talking to him, yeah, he's just a cool guy.
- 18:45Sydney: So kind yeah, yeah.
- 18:48Eric: All right, your turn.
- 18:50Sydney: Okay, so number four any historical event that you are like completely fascinated by some weird, maybe more, maybe more of a current historical event, anything that you just like, anytime you see it.
- 19:06Sydney: You're like that's your Roman Empire.
- 19:09Eric: Yeah, I would actually.
- 19:10Eric: I would go back to the the revolution.
- 19:15Sydney: Oh, the American one.
- 19:16Eric: Yeah, is that fine to go that far back.
- 19:19Eric: Yeah, yeah, that's not I mean, I guess it's modern if you're looking at how long you know people have been in existence.
- 19:24Eric: But yeah, just I, that's like one of the great things my daughter being out in Boston, you got the freedom freedom trail and there's just so much history back there.
- 19:33Eric: And then just that whole time period I'm just fascinated with about how you know all the change that they went through and what people had to do and how there's like united but not, and it was still a lot of bickering and everything and that took place and you know we didn't really monetize it, but it was a little messier than than we think.
- 19:56Eric: But at the end of the day, some really cool things happen.
- 20:01Eric: So yeah, I definitely go back Like that's when I read history.
- 20:06Eric: That's usually what I read, so it's a very fascinating time.
- 20:13Sydney: Whenever you visit her, you should really check out.
- 20:15Sydney: There's this place and it's in Western Massachusetts, so I don't know if you'd want to drive that far, but you know, everything's not really far over there compared to California.
- 20:26Sydney: It's called Deerfield and there was actually like a crazy battle fought like against the Indians and the colonial people, and most of there's all like street of original houses and a museum and it's really neat looking.
- 20:47Eric: My best friend now.
- 20:48Eric: He went to Amherst there and they used to be called the Lord Jeffs and I said something about he's like oh yeah, we're not the Lord Jeffs anymore.
- 20:56Eric: I forget what they're called and I'm like wait, what happened to Lord Jeff?
- 21:00Eric: Was he, you know, was?
- 21:01Eric: Was he bad guy?
- 21:02Eric: Is he's like?
- 21:03Eric: Well, he's the one who gave the smallpox blanket to all the Native Americans.
- 21:08Eric: Like, oh yeah, that counts as bad.
- 21:11Sydney: I guess you, I guess you would know.
- 21:13Eric: I guess yeah, yeah he was.
- 21:14Eric: They did it on purpose, so I guess that's not the quote, unquote the hero that you want your school to be all aligned with.
- 21:27Sydney: So if you could transport yourself anywhere in the world world right now, where would it be and why?
- 21:35Eric: I would love to live in Amsterdam because it's Amsterdam, because you would I would love to live.
- 21:39Eric: I'd love to live in Amsterdam.
- 21:41Eric: That would be absolutely fascinating, though you know it's crazy.
- 21:45Eric: Last night my son came over and it was first night of Hanukkah and all that and he was just talking to us and he said you know what?
- 21:55Eric: You guys should move to Vancouver, I'm going down, and I was like that's fantastic and it actually my wife and I had talked about that years ago, about how it'd be a cool place to live and this is before, like all the hallmark stuff, and but her family all lives in Florida, so eventually she wants to move east to be a little closer to everybody.
- 22:20Sydney: Yeah.
- 22:21Eric: But I was like nope, nope, let's go in, let's go hallmark, and I'm like I totally would become an extra in hallmark movies.
- 22:28Sydney: You would.
- 22:30Eric: If I was there, I would be, I would be, I'd be so cool.
- 22:34Eric: And so, yeah, I said so I said, and then my, when we were walking this morning, I told my wife why I was so absolutely because my son has absolutely no idea that that's where hallmark movies are filmed.
- 22:45Eric: And so I told my wife why I was.
- 22:47Eric: So he was dumb about it.
- 22:48Eric: So nice to pursue my dream of being an extra in hallmark movies.
- 22:54Sydney: Okay.
- 23:01Eric: So we are closing in on a year of doing the podcast.
- 23:04Eric: What has been the biggest surprise of doing a podcast that you discovered and what would you say has been your highlight?
- 23:13Sydney: The biggest surprise is always hearing what I sound like.
- 23:17Sydney: Every episode I'm like, oh my gosh, this is what my voice sounds like.
- 23:22Sydney: And the highlight has definitely been the people.
- 23:28Sydney: Like, people have been so nice.
- 23:32Sydney: And that goes even for the other hallmark Living, the hallmark dream that I do.
- 23:42Sydney: You know, I haven't been on for quite a while because it's, you know, start out with the pregnancy and then the move, and it's just like I haven't been able to devote enough time to the content that I was making.
- 23:54Sydney: So I've kind of been on like this hiatus and I've had a couple ladies on there reach out and say, hey, we hope, I hope you're doing okay.
- 24:05Sydney: I haven't seen you on here in a while and I'm thinking of you.
- 24:08Sydney: And that's just like the sweetest thing to think like, wow, you're, you matter to someone, or like they took notice of you, because sometimes you're just doing it and you're thinking I don't know if anybody really cares, but I like doing it.
- 24:27Sydney: So, yeah, and the same goes for people who reach out on the podcast.
- 24:35Sydney: It's nice to know that people like feel the same way as you, or don't feel the same way, or you know, they know what you're referencing, and it's just, it's fun.
- 24:51Eric: Yeah, I'll agree with you there that it's.
- 24:55Eric: It's weird because there's definitely a handful of people who I think we've really just made you know the actors, once again, it's amazing how Friendly and engaging and just consider it they are.
- 25:10Eric: And you know, I think that goes a long way and it conveys in the movies and all that.
- 25:14Eric: But, as you like, you said, also just that hallmark community of you know some of the other podcasters who we talked to and just other I feel weird saying fans but you know people who, like enjoy the podcast, who now will always send us little messages and stuff and it's really it's really fun and, and you know, I hope at some point it can meet some of these people, because talk to them quite a bit and it's like They'll.
- 25:39Eric: Oh hey, I really want to know your thoughts on this.
- 25:41Eric: And that says yeah it's been very fun.
- 25:46Eric: Okay, you are now stranded on a remote island and you have access to three programs that you're just going to have to watch over and over and over again.
- 25:57Eric: You get a Hallmark Romcom.
- 26:00Eric: You get a Holiday Movie and a Mystery One episode.
- 26:05Eric: You can't be like Cross, Repulse and Mysteries.
- 26:08Eric: It's only one episode of a something.
- 26:10Eric: So what Romcom do you pick?
- 26:15Sydney: Is this a Hallmark, romcom?
- 26:17Eric: Well, I guess it doesn't have to be, but yeah, that's.
- 26:21Eric: Okay, Like are you going to go like Harry Metzower or something?
- 26:25Eric: I don't know?
- 26:28Eric: Yeah, go Hallmark, favorite Hallmark.
- 26:31Eric: So basically your favorite Hallmark.
- 26:33Sydney: So I think there's one that I just always watch when it's on, and it's from a couple of years ago, and it's called Ring by Spring.
- 26:47Eric: Rachel Boston.
- 26:48Sydney: Yeah, and like Ann, I think.
- 26:51Sydney: Who is it?
- 26:52Sydney: Angie, something is in it.
- 26:55Sydney: The one that the lady who was in Heart to Heart with Robert Wagner she plays like this soothsayer lady in it, which I thought was kind of funny.
- 27:06Sydney: Stephanie Powers, yeah.
- 27:13Eric: I just actually saw that not too long ago and, to be honest, I don't know if I realized that was Stephanie Powers.
- 27:19Sydney: Yeah, and I think it was almost like maybe it made sense because they were playing all those Heart to Heart like after murder she wrote in the evenings.
- 27:28Sydney: Maybe they were just playing into that, but I really liked that.
- 27:31Sydney: And then I like when I first saw it it really resonated with me.
- 27:37Sydney: So it's either that one or there's another one called like Tulips for Spring or something, and it's about a girl who goes back to her family's Tulip farm.
- 27:51Eric: I can't remember that one, but those two whenever they're on.
- 27:54Sydney: I must have a spring thing.
- 27:55Eric: I don't know.
- 27:56Eric: I was about to say, yeah, you like the spring movie.
- 27:57Eric: And then Then your holiday movie.
- 28:01Sydney: Holiday.
- 28:02Sydney: Oh, does it have to be Christmas, or can it be a different holiday?
- 28:09Eric: Yeah, christmas, though there's really one right answer, but what's the right answer you told me.
- 28:19Eric: It's a wonderful time of the year.
- 28:22Sydney: Was that the oh?
- 28:24Sydney: You know what I really liked the ghosts of Christmas past.
- 28:30Eric: Christmas always, but that's also completely acceptable because that's in the top three.
- 28:34Sydney: I feel like you always correct me on that.
- 28:36Sydney: I always see the ghosts of Christmas past.
- 28:38Sydney: You always think the ghosts of Christmas are like.
- 28:40Eric: Yes, that is absolutely fantastic movie, so that is a correct, that's so cute.
- 28:45Eric: That is a completely acceptable answer.
- 28:48Sydney: And then what was the last one?
- 28:49Eric: Then your mystery, the episode.
- 28:52Sydney: Oh.
- 28:53Eric: So once again A single episode.
- 28:58Sydney: Well, I'm sure it would be murder mystery 101.
- 29:04Sydney: But which one?
- 29:07Sydney: I'm not really sure because I don't know the names by heart, but it would be one of those.
- 29:16Eric: The Aaron Cahill.
- 29:18Sydney: That was a really good one.
- 29:20Eric: Which is that words to kill which has no words to kill, as long as Steven basic.
- 29:27Sydney: Oh, but that one's good too.
- 29:30Eric: All right.
- 29:32Sydney: Okay, all right.
- 29:34Sydney: So what's your favorite animal?
- 29:38Sydney: Any animal.
- 29:40Eric: Well, it used to be a dolphin, but I'm just going to have to go with a dog, because my little three legged dog just cracks me up nonstop.
- 29:49Eric: What?
- 29:50Sydney: I'm giving a shout out.
- 29:51Sydney: What's its name?
- 29:52Eric: Stanley.
- 29:53Sydney: Stanley.
- 29:55Eric: Yeah, we have the other dog, charlie, which is my wife's dog, who just looks at me with disdain because he knows that he's her favorite.
- 30:02Eric: But Stanley is just an absolute goofball and he's just hilarious and, like I said, I just look at him and I just feel warmth all over.
- 30:16Eric: So definitely a dog.
- 30:19Sydney: That's good.
- 30:20Sydney: Okay, what is your favorite album?
- 30:24Sydney: Music album that you could listen to like the whole way through?
- 30:28Sydney: You don't have to skip any songs, you just love it.
- 30:32Eric: I love the song the Best Album Ever, Best band ever and that's their best album ever.
- 30:40Eric: Every single song in that album is a 10.
- 30:45Sydney: Yeah, Because even when I was younger you couldn't just pick whatever song you could listen to, you had to buy a CD.
- 30:55Sydney: So sometimes you become attached to the whole CD.
- 30:58Sydney: I thought and there's some that you actually can listen the whole way through.
- 31:06Eric: I've had this discussion and once again, because you have modern day, I haven't bought an album full thing and probably, I don't know, maybe 15 years or so, maybe 20 years, because you can just do iTunes or now Spotify and everything.
- 31:26Eric: But we just had a debate.
- 31:28Eric: And, yes, london Calling I'm dating myself, but Meet Love, bad Outta Hell and YouTube, octune Baby were three albums that I said were just no bad song.
- 31:42Eric: Every single song on there is perfect, good, all right, but yeah, but now you don't.
- 31:49Eric: I mean I'm sure some people do, but you know you just buy your songs that you like.
- 31:55Sydney: Or you just on Spotify or just like meh meh.
- 32:02Eric: What is your opinion of Hawaiian pizza?
- 32:07Sydney: That's a pass for me.
- 32:08Sydney: I'm definitely.
- 32:12Sydney: I'm one of the ones that has all the traditional toppings.
- 32:15Sydney: I think they call it the supreme.
- 32:18Eric: This has become my little mission in life.
- 32:21Eric: Ever since Madison Smith told me how that was his favorite pizza, I was like disgusting.
- 32:28Sydney: Yeah, sorry, but but.
- 32:28Eric: Okay, okay, thank you, okay, okay, okay.
- 32:32Eric: Yeah, john Christian Palmer did bring up.
- 32:35Eric: He's like well, you're from Hawaii, it's okay.
- 32:37Eric: I'm like okay, I'll give a pass to them.
- 32:39Eric: I don't know if it really is a Hawaiian thing or not.
- 32:42Sydney: Yeah.
- 32:43Eric: But I will say okay, if you're from Hawaii, you can like Hawaiian pizza.
- 32:46Eric: Other than that, you are just crazy.
- 32:50Sydney: Yeah.
- 32:52Eric: All right Along the same lines.
- 32:54Eric: You are pregnant and historically it goes with the pregnancy and cravings.
- 32:58Eric: What is your favorite ice cream?
- 33:01Sydney: My favorite ice cream is Hagen Doss Caramel Cone.
- 33:06Sydney: It is like.
- 33:08Eric: Sounds fancy.
- 33:10Sydney: It's a vanilla ice cream and inside it has swirls of like super good caramel and chunks of like waffle cone that's covered in chocolate.
- 33:20Sydney: It is so good.
- 33:24Eric: Have you been enjoying a little bit of it?
- 33:26Eric: Why?
- 33:28Sydney: Well, I actually ended up buying the Tillamook version of it and it's not.
- 33:34Sydney: There isn't as much cone as I would like and so I'm not enjoying it as much.
- 33:40Sydney: But I have had like.
- 33:42Sydney: Strange, I wanted cinnamon rolls.
- 33:47Sydney: So bad the other day.
- 33:48Sydney: I wanted like a cherry hard candy.
- 33:51Eric: I'm not pregnant and I want cinnamon rolls.
- 33:55Sydney: There's like such, I'll put pickles on top of pasta.
- 33:59Sydney: It's very strange.
- 34:01Eric: Seriously.
- 34:02Sydney: I did do that the other day.
- 34:04Eric: You never did that before, right.
- 34:06Sydney: No, not really.
- 34:07Sydney: There's something about like the brininess of like a pickle or an olive or something that I really want.
- 34:16Sydney: Okay.
- 34:17Sydney: I think it's like that whole.
- 34:19Sydney: It's like a Someone said that when you're pregnant you really like extreme flavors, so you like things that are really sweet or things that are really salty.
- 34:28Sydney: I think it's just kind of one of those things where it's like really vinegary and yeah.
- 34:36Eric: I don't remember my wife having like any weird cravings, just more I want, like you said, ice cream or something.
- 34:45Eric: Yeah, there would just be something and she just wanted it.
- 34:50Eric: Yeah, like I said, she didn't have any of the weird no pickles on spaghetti, but it would be.
- 34:56Eric: Go give me some ice cream now.
- 34:58Sydney: Right or Mexican food.
- 34:59Sydney: Mexican food is always.
- 35:01Sydney: I always want that.
- 35:03Eric: Here's my advice Don't have.
- 35:07Eric: What does she have Like steak and Brussels sprouts the night before our son was born?
- 35:17Sydney: Oh.
- 35:18Eric: It was not.
- 35:19Eric: No, he came three weeks early so it was not planned.
- 35:21Eric: But let's just say it's not the food to have in your system when you are delivering.
- 35:27Eric: So there's my advice for you.
- 35:29Sydney: Got it, got it.
- 35:30Sydney: I'll take that advice, oh okay.
- 35:34Sydney: So if you could be a character in any of Hallmark's mysteries, who would you?
- 35:40Sydney: Like to be.
- 35:42Eric: So I'm injecting myself, or do I have to take over?
- 35:45Sydney: so much more.
- 35:46Sydney: You're taking over.
- 35:46Sydney: You're taking over.
- 35:48Eric: Do you really have to ask that question?
- 35:49Eric: I think I know who, but I want I am Henry Ross, every day, all day, all year, not a doubt.
- 36:02Eric: And I'm doing episode three over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
- 36:10Sydney: Okay, fair enough.
- 36:13Eric: So there's no doubt I am opposite Maggie, and Maggie is a smooch in me.
- 36:23Sydney: Oh, wow, okay, All right.
- 36:26Sydney: What is your favorite childhood book?
- 36:30Eric: Well, I guess it depends on how childhood we're talking about, but I'll just go with and it makes sense the Hardy Boy series.
- 36:38Eric: I could not get enough of those and I don't know I can envision it.
- 36:46Eric: But I would read those things in a day and make my mom take me back to the library.
- 36:53Eric: And I remember library you could only check at least the library we had.
- 36:57Eric: You could only check out three books and I remember I'd be so upset because I could only take three Hardy Boy books and stuff like that.
- 37:05Eric: But I was really into the Hardy Boys as a kid.
- 37:08Eric: But then as a little kid it's the what's the one with Max, like where the wild things are, I think.
- 37:16Sydney: Oh yeah.
- 37:17Eric: Yeah, yeah, that was like when I was a little kid.
- 37:20Sydney: My favorite, marie Cendak.
- 37:22Eric: Yeah, but as far as like being an older kid reading myself and all that, it was definitely Hardy Boys.
- 37:29Eric: And then it rolled into, when I was done with all those, rolling into Nancy Drew and Nancy Drew, yeah, nancy Drew, and those were all really good and fantastic as well which I just recently found out that they were not written by like one person, that it was written by just a series of people and it was like a made up author kind of thing.
- 37:52Sydney: I know that.
- 37:53Sydney: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 37:55Sydney: You like mysteries?
- 37:57Eric: So yeah, I'd say it was funny.
- 38:00Eric: I didn't realize it until later, like when we're doing this and we talked to I talked to Brooke, who does her podcast on mysteries, cozy mysteries and books and stuff, and when we were talking about it and I like really sort of like, oh yeah, that makes sense now Should I do my last one, or are you All?
- 38:23Eric: Right, Go ahead.
- 38:25Eric: Ask the last question.
- 38:28Sydney: Okay, I'm stealing one from the actor's studio.
- 38:31Sydney: When you end up at the pearly gates, what are you hoping they will say?
- 38:39Eric: Well, first start with I hope I end up at pearly gates.
- 38:43Sydney: We know you will.
- 38:45Sydney: You win Stanley.
- 38:51Eric: What am I hoping they say?
- 38:52Eric: I'm hoping they say that I was a good husband and a good dad and just basically treated those guys well.
- 39:06Sydney: Well, there you go.
- 39:07Eric: Yeah, a little mushy, but at the end of the day that's, I guess, what counts right.
- 39:12Sydney: That's okay, yeah.
- 39:15Eric: So here's the thing I'll say too is you're going through this and you're about to have a kid and you'd like think, oh, I know what loving is like.
- 39:22Eric: I love my husband, I'm gonna love this kid.
- 39:23Eric: When you have your kid it's like a whole level that you think you know what you're going in for, and it's so much more.
- 39:32Eric: It's just you can't even explain it.
- 39:35Eric: Once you hold little Brooke, you will totally know exactly what I'm talking about.
- 39:44Sydney: Okay.
- 39:45Eric: You can go with Maggie too.
- 39:46Eric: I'll be okay with that.
- 39:49Sydney: Afraid not.
- 39:51Eric: Okay, final question for you.
- 39:54Eric: So when we talk to JC Dutton and talk to Mannequin, they both are very accomplished singers and one of the things we talked about was putting in a little karaoke scene into Curious Cater, because Nikki DeLoe should have been known to be able to carry a tune herself.
- 40:17Eric: Andy Walker, not quite sure, but regardless, he'd be quite fun on the karaoke stand.
- 40:24Eric: But you and I we're getting cast, as you know, as Woman in Bar and Dead man 2.
- 40:34Eric: So when you are Woman in Bar, you're in the karaoke bar.
- 40:38Eric: What is your go-to karaoke song?
- 40:41Eric: You are on stage right before they all come in.
- 40:47Eric: So Mala and Jessamy and Goldie come in, and then, I guess, detective Tom later, but and they're like, let's go, and you're on stage.
- 41:01Eric: What are you?
- 41:04Sydney: saying I have two go-to karaoke songs, two All right, oh, either one, I think, will work.
- 41:11Sydney: First one is the B-52's Love Shack.
- 41:15Sydney: Second one is Spice Girls wannabe.
- 41:19Eric: So oh nice, but Love Shack's kind of a hard one though, because it's duet-a-yish.
- 41:26Sydney: Yeah, I just do both of them.
- 41:29Eric: Okay, okay.
- 41:31Sydney: I've done them a guy.
- 41:34Eric: Very, very good.
- 41:35Eric: Wow, those are adorable.
- 41:36Eric: Which one are you doing, though?
- 41:37Eric: You gotta be doing wannabe when they come in.
- 41:41Sydney: I think so because also you have to feel the energy, and those are women.
- 41:46Eric: So I'm like we love the Spice Girls moment, so yeah, yeah, and I could see Jessamy like hopping up on stage with you and taking it over.
- 41:57Eric: So awesome, all right, well, that was a lot of fun.
- 42:01Eric: Some of your answers, I was expecting.
- 42:04Eric: Some of them I was not expecting, so.
- 42:06Sydney: Yeah.
- 42:07Eric: Very, very good.
- 42:08Eric: Make sure when your husband gets back from chasing down the garbage man, you talk to him about your Brennan Elliott Hall Pass.
- 42:16Eric: Make sure you get it in writing.
- 42:18Sydney: Yeah, I don't know how that'll go.
- 42:20Eric: I think we'll just do that.
- 42:21Eric: Very important thing for a marriage is always make sure you get that all pass in writing.
- 42:27Sydney: In writing.
- 42:27Sydney: I think we'll just be back.
- 42:29Eric: Actually, no, you're just a little more dangerous, because you actually potentially have a chance.
- 42:33Eric: Oh, to meet Brennan, right, we know what pizza face he goes to.
- 42:38Eric: We've talked to him.
- 42:39Eric: Actually, I have to tell you I'm feeling really good, right now, eric.
- 42:44Sydney: See, now you've got me thinking of this pizza.
- 42:47Sydney: I won't be able to not think of it.
- 42:50Eric: Oh, and how long is about an hour away to go get it now.
- 42:54Sydney: Yeah, I think so, I don't really know, it's probably out of Door Dash range.
- 42:58Sydney: Oh yeah, I think it's up in Burbank, so that's even further.
- 43:04Eric: So all right, Okay.
- 43:07Eric: Well, that's where we stand for the questions.
- 43:09Eric: Next time we are going to be talking Sign sealed, delivered.
- 43:14Eric: What is the Christmas one actually called?
- 43:17Eric: It's just called Christmas.
- 43:19Sydney: Oh yeah, Hold momentarily.
- 43:24Eric: I know it's the Christmas movie.
- 43:29Sydney: I just had it.
- 43:29Sydney: Now, of course, I can't find my hallmark.
- 43:33Eric: Why we have our debate, which we have still yet to have.
- 43:36Eric: And I was thinking maybe we get one of the Sign Sealed Deliver podcasters like Suspender what's it?
- 43:44Eric: Suspenders Unbuttoned or whatever.
- 43:45Eric: Maybe get one of them on there when we debate whether or not Sign Sealed Delivery is a mystery or not.
- 43:52Eric: So, but regardless, we'll be talking about the Christmas one next time and giving it our review of thoughts and all of that.
- 44:03Eric: It's kind of like is Die Hard a Christmas movie?
- 44:07Eric: Well, we know that Sign Sealed, delivered is a Christmas movie, but is it a mystery?
- 44:11Eric: So okay.
- 44:14Sydney: Oh, yeah, sign Sealed, delivered for Christmas.
- 44:17Eric: Yeah, it's close enough to Christmas movie, all right, well, sydney, this was fun.
- 44:23Sydney: Yes.
- 44:24Eric: Go have some pickles and spaghetti.
- 44:29Sydney: I won't.
- 44:31Eric: I won't do it.
- 44:32Eric: Follow it up with your.
- 44:34Eric: What is it?
- 44:35Eric: The caramel?
- 44:38Sydney: Caramel cone, caramel cone Pog and Doss.
- 44:40Eric: Yeah, follow up with a little bit of that.
- 44:42Eric: Send the hell out to go get that.
- 44:45Sydney: Oh, I need it now my flex, my flex.
- 44:49Eric: Don't give me any of that.
- 44:50Eric: Tell them a crap.
- 44:51Eric: I need the Hog and Doss.
- 44:52Eric: You know, All right, lots of fun.
- 44:57Eric: We'll talk to you next week.
- 44:59Eric: Yes, take care Till then.
- 45:04Sydney: Bye, bye, bye, I'll see you next time.
