Seventeen-year-old Laniyah Danyell Whitted has been identified among human remains found in Cumberland County, bringing closure to her family after years of anguish since she vanished in November 2021. Her alleged killer, 22-year-old Kabron Markell Thaggard, is now in custody facing first-degree murder and body concealment charges — no bond granted.
