- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, what happened in the game between me and Thor? Well,
- 0:05Speaker 1: we're going to update you, and guess what? We play
- 0:08Speaker 1: again this week in another league. Here we go. Let's
- 0:12Speaker 1: find out what happened and see who you should be
- 0:14Speaker 1: starting in this week's episode of Fantasy Freakin' Football.
- 0:18Speaker 2: The one that hurts the most.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Did every guy on your bench go off? Did you
- 0:26Speaker 3: decide to set your top scorer because you had a hunch?
- 0:31Speaker 3: Did your drafting a kicker in the first round strategy
- 0:34Speaker 3: not pay off?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Then this is the.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Show for you.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Now here to help you set your lineups every week,
- 0:42Speaker 3: it's Eddie and Thor with Fantasy Frickin' Football.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yeah, as you heard by Thor's overwhelming response there. Didn't
- 0:51Speaker 1: go well for him last week.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Fantasy's gone off.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It's gone off the rails for you.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Dude, in one league, it's a nightmare situation.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Honestly. The injury situation, because I'm dealing with injuries too.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Everyone is.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean like the amount of, like my running
- 1:06Speaker 1: back situation is hot garbage right now. Like almost all
- 1:10Speaker 1: of the running backs that I have are injured right now.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And so luckily in one league, I decided to pick
- 1:15Speaker 1: up Alvin Kamara as just a whim. I was like,
- 1:18Speaker 1: you know, maybe with the injury of a Chan, you know,
- 1:20Speaker 1: that he may get a carrier too. Uh, but luckily
- 1:23Speaker 1: I had a good game last weekend. So it's like, Oh, okay.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Maybe he's the guy there. I don't know. Hopefully you
- 1:28Speaker 1: picked up maybe like a Brian Robinson went off for
- 1:30Speaker 1: you or whatever, but. There's so many injuries at the
- 1:33Speaker 1: running back spot and all these different spots. It is tough.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And I will totally admit, your injury situation, it's almost
- 1:40Speaker 1: comical at this point.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It's just every week. And then guys I pick up
- 1:43Speaker 2: to start, then they get hurt. And now like Ramadri,
- 1:46Speaker 2: I have Saquon Barkley's hurt. Justin Jefferson's hurt. Zay Flowers
- 1:49Speaker 2: has been out of the lineup. Jalen Waddle's my only
- 1:52Speaker 2: real big bust. Dart's done for the season, which then
- 1:55Speaker 2: affects Isaiah Likely because he's been a turd since... And
- 1:58Speaker 2: then on top of that, Rasheed White, who I picked up,
- 2:00Speaker 2: he was hurt, and now Ramadre Stevenson's hurt. Dude. And
- 2:02Speaker 2: then Saquon Barkley.
- 2:04Speaker 1: How do you field a team?
- 2:05Speaker 2: And then Saquon Barkley, he's out, but the Eagles just
- 2:08Speaker 2: traded Cam Jurgens. And Lane Johnson retired. So I'm just like...
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my God. So I'm going to come
- 2:14Speaker 2: in last in that league. I'm not going to win
- 2:16Speaker 2: a game.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I don't think fantasy is good for your mental health.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Well, my other leagues I'm doing okay. Like our work league,
- 2:21Speaker 2: I'm okay. I'm one in three, but I'm okay. And
- 2:23Speaker 2: then another league I'm doing pretty well. But like in
- 2:25Speaker 2: this one league, it's just the second year in a row.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It's a nightmare.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Well, the work league is the league that I smashed
- 2:30Speaker 1: you in.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: But you mean you have injuries there too, right?
- 2:32Speaker 2: I have injuries there, but I don't feel like– I'm
- 2:35Speaker 2: not worried yet though. Like even if I go to
- 2:37Speaker 2: one in four, eight teams make the playoffs in that league.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So I'm not– and my team's not bad.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Jonathan Taylor, Pickens, Watson, Michael Wilson. I'm not worried.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You just need guys to show up, like Pickens. You
- 2:47Speaker 1: need him to show up.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you need him to show up. Brees Hall will
- 2:49Speaker 2: come back eventually. DJ Moore will come back eventually. I'm
- 2:52Speaker 2: not freaking out about that league yet. And then this
- 2:56Speaker 2: other league I'm in, it's fine. But yeah, in my
- 2:58Speaker 2: big league that we love, my team's just a nightmare.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I haven't gotten 100 points for weeks in a row. Oh, wow. Like,
- 3:06Speaker 2: it's just like, what the hell? Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And that's tough for PPR to not score 100 points.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But yeah, I ended up beating you by almost 40
- 3:13Speaker 1: in the one league. And now we play each other
- 3:16Speaker 1: again in that league. You're a disaster.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And I have all these injuries and my matchups are terrible. Like,
- 3:23Speaker 2: I don't understand it. Like, oh, God, it's frustrating. And
- 3:26Speaker 2: then we had this stupid rule in that league that
- 3:29Speaker 2: my moron friend wanted to do. And it really pisses
- 3:32Speaker 2: me off. I don't know why he's obsessed with a punishment.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Well, in that league, they want to do punishments. And
- 3:38Speaker 1: the punishment for that league.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Which we haven't done ever, by the way. We had one,
- 3:42Speaker 2: but it didn't happen. Then we didn't do one last year.
- 3:44Speaker 2: But he got this wild hair that he wants to
- 3:46Speaker 2: do this punishment that somebody gets regulated from the league.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Relegated.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Relegated, whatever. It's so stupid.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Like, what? So if you come in last, you are
- 3:55Speaker 1: not allowed to play the next year. We bring in
- 3:58Speaker 1: an additional person, and then they get your spot. And
- 4:02Speaker 1: so you have to sit out the whole year. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: you have to show up to the draft and not
- 4:06Speaker 1: be able to draft.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And if that happens to me, I will be done
- 4:09Speaker 2: with the league.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You're going to quit the league?
- 4:11Speaker 2: I won't quit, but I'll be done. I won't play anymore.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I'll show up to the draft. I'll do the thing.
- 4:15Speaker 2: And that will be it. I'm done with the league.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But then the next year, you're back. The next year,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you're back.
- 4:19Speaker 2: No, I'm not. I'll be done.
- 4:20Speaker 1: You'll be done?
- 4:21Speaker 2: I will be done.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Well, that's crazy.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I will be done. I will be like, you know what?
- 4:25Speaker 2: Maybe this is a good thing. That's the punishment. No,
- 4:27Speaker 2: this is a good thing. I'm done. I'll do two leagues.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I have two kids now.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You're extreme right now.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I have two kids now. I'm done.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You're in a dark place.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I'm wiping my eyes. A league I started 15 years ago.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I will be done with. Oh, my God. Well, yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So we'll see what happens. But it is getting crazy
- 4:42Speaker 1: right now in fantasy. I have been offered a trade
- 4:46Speaker 1: that I have accepted.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Oh, nice.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So I'm not the biggest trader. You love making trades
- 4:51Speaker 1: in fantasy. Well, nobody wants.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I have no one to trade with.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the awful part. It's cruel. Um, but I
- 4:55Speaker 1: got offered a trade and me and this guy have
- 4:58Speaker 1: been going back and forth for almost three weeks now where,
- 5:02Speaker 1: you know, they, I love trades where they try to
- 5:04Speaker 1: get one over on you. And it's like, why would
- 5:05Speaker 1: I do that? It doesn't even make any sense. Um,
- 5:08Speaker 1: like I got to get something out of it too,
- 5:09Speaker 1: you know? And so he will offer me a terrible trade.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I offer him a terrible trade back. And then we
- 5:16Speaker 1: go to, we just reject each other's trade offers back
- 5:18Speaker 1: and forth. And we get to the point of where
- 5:20Speaker 1: we're getting closer. And then I was like, Oh, maybe, well,
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'd rather have this guy than this guy. And then
- 5:25Speaker 1: he rejects it. Then he offers me something and I'm like,
- 5:28Speaker 1: that's close, but I don't want that guy reject. And
- 5:30Speaker 1: then we, you know, we just been doing this back
- 5:32Speaker 1: and forth. And like, I'm not the one looking for
- 5:34Speaker 1: the guy though. He's the one that wants the trade.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So I'm like, you got to give up something if
- 5:39Speaker 1: you want my guy. So the guy that I have
- 5:41Speaker 1: is Brock Purdy. So he's got injuries at the quarterback situation.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And so he's also a Niner fan. And so he
- 5:48Speaker 1: really wants Brock Purdy. He's on my bench because I
- 5:50Speaker 1: have Josh Allen. I'm never going to not start Josh Allen.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I don't care. Purdy's having a great season, but he's
- 5:55Speaker 1: not Josh Allen.
- 5:56Speaker 2: No, not in fantasy.
- 5:57Speaker 1: No. So I'm like, sorry, I'm never going to start Purdy,
- 6:01Speaker 1: but I'm glad I have him. And so the one
- 6:03Speaker 1: bye week that the Bills had, I was going to
- 6:05Speaker 1: play him, but that's all I'm going to use Brock
- 6:06Speaker 1: Purdy for, or unless Josh gets hurt, God forbid. And
- 6:09Speaker 1: so he's been offering me these ridiculous trades for Brock Purdy,
- 6:14Speaker 1: all that stuff. And I'm like, no, dude, you got
- 6:15Speaker 1: to kind of package things together and make this work. Otherwise,
- 6:18Speaker 1: why would I do that? I don't need to make
- 6:21Speaker 1: the trade. And so finally, we got to the point
- 6:23Speaker 1: of where he offered me a straight-up trade. I liked it,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so I'd made the trade. He offered me Debo, Debo Samuel,
- 6:31Speaker 1: for Brock Purdy. I'm set at quarterback. Obviously, I could
- 6:35Speaker 1: always use help at wide receiver or the flex position
- 6:38Speaker 1: or whatever. Debo's having a great year so far. God forbid, again,
- 6:42Speaker 1: hopefully he doesn't get hurt. That's usually Debo's M.O., But
- 6:45Speaker 1: for right now, for a backup quarterback, for Debo, who
- 6:48Speaker 1: is probably going to start for me, I decided to
- 6:50Speaker 1: make the deal.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Nice.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So, yeah, you know, again, it took a long time
- 6:55Speaker 1: to get to that spot. I mean, it was ridiculous,
- 6:57Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah, now imagine being like a real GM. That's why
- 6:59Speaker 2: these trades take so long, right?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Seriously, you don't realize it. You're just like, you're not
- 7:02Speaker 1: going to get one over on me, bro. Like, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: got to get something back.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And like, why does it always have to be that?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Why can't it be fairness?
- 7:07Speaker 1: You know, because you will end up finding a guy
- 7:10Speaker 1: who doesn't know that much about fantasy or whatever, and
- 7:13Speaker 1: they'll see a guy who has a giant week, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: their guy's not performing that well. Like, say, I have, like,
- 7:18Speaker 1: Courtland Sutton on my team. He has done nothing so far.
- 7:20Speaker 1: But eventually, they got to start throwing him the ball,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I would imagine.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Well, and my thing right now is I would love
- 7:26Speaker 2: to trade Saquon or Justin Jefferson.
- 7:28Speaker 1: But who's going to take him? Yeah, who's going to
- 7:30Speaker 1: take him?
- 7:30Speaker 2: I mean, so I got to wait. And while I'm waiting,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I got to keep losing. Yeah. Because neither of them
- 7:34Speaker 2: are done for the year. but they're hurt right now.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And I don't want to trade Zay Flowers, though Lamar's out.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So it'd be like you right now offering Justin Jefferson
- 7:44Speaker 1: straight up for like CeeDee Lamb. Yeah, it doesn't make
- 7:46Speaker 1: any sense. And you go, well, why would I do that?
- 7:47Speaker 2: Why would I do, yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 1: At the beginning of the year, if you make that offer, okay,
- 7:51Speaker 1: there's some, you know.
- 7:51Speaker 2: But now with him hurt.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And then CeeDee just went off. You go, huh.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Which, by the way, I don't understand why CeeDee Lamb
- 7:57Speaker 2: got 17 catches and And George Pickens has five. They're
- 8:01Speaker 2: paying George Pickens almost $ 30 million a year. It's so ridiculous.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I would be happy if I had CD in that situation,
- 8:07Speaker 1: but you don't. You got Pickens, and now you're just like,
- 8:09Speaker 1: what the heck?
- 8:09Speaker 2: It's killing me, man.
- 8:10Speaker 1: It is weird. I don't know what's going on with that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Same with Ted McMillan. You're like, what the? There's nobody
- 8:15Speaker 1: else he's got on the team? It's great if you
- 8:18Speaker 1: have him.
- 8:18Speaker 2: And at what point does the defense say, hey, we
- 8:20Speaker 2: can't let him beat us anymore. Let's just start doubling
- 8:23Speaker 2: him and make somebody else beat us.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy. All right, let's get to your questions.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You can hit us up on email. You can email
- 8:29Speaker 1: us your questions every week that we'll get to, or
- 8:31Speaker 1: you can hit us up on X, at the show Thor,
- 8:34Speaker 1: at the show Eddie, and we'll get to your questions
- 8:36Speaker 1: every week. This question is about the quarterback spot. It says, hey, guys,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm in the need of a quarterback with Lamar Jackson,
- 8:42Speaker 1: most likely not playing this week, and Patrick Mahomes is
- 8:45Speaker 1: on a bye, so I don't have very many options
- 8:48Speaker 1: on the waiver wire. Who would you guys pick up?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Would you go with Deshaun Watson, Sam Darnold, or Jalen Daniels?
- 8:55Speaker 1: the new starter in Tampa.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Oh, definitely not Jalen Daniels. He didn't look very good. No,
- 9:00Speaker 2: he's undrafted free agent rookie. Uh, I would probably go
- 9:04Speaker 2: with Darnold because I think the Niners are a really
- 9:07Speaker 2: good team right now, but they did give up a
- 9:09Speaker 2: lot of points to Jacoby Brissett, um, a couple of
- 9:11Speaker 2: weeks ago. So I'd probably go with Darnold just because
- 9:15Speaker 2: I think he's key and, and they, they're familiar with
- 9:18Speaker 2: that defense. I'd probably go with Darnold.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you. Um, Deshaun, um, Even though
- 9:24Speaker 1: they're winning, I don't trust him. I definitely don't trust
- 9:26Speaker 1: him in the massage parlor.
- 9:27Speaker 3: No.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But, you know, I don't trust the Browns. I think
- 9:31Speaker 1: this is false goods. You know, I think it's fool's gold.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I know right now they're 3-1 and everyone's on the Browns.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It's not like he's putting up monster numbers either.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and I know everyone's like down on the Jets
- 9:40Speaker 2: because they lost to the Bears. I'm not sure the
- 9:41Speaker 2: Browns beat the Jets in New York.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I could easily see the Jets winning that game.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Also, look at the weather. The weather's going to be
- 9:47Speaker 2: crappy again on those East Coast games. So that sucks.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So just a heads up on that. Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I think Donald's the play there for sure. Uh, tight
- 9:54Speaker 1: end who to start Harold Fannin versus the jets or
- 9:57Speaker 1: Jawan Johnson versus Minnesota.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I'm going Jawan Johnson. He's been one of, Chuck's top targets.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Chuck has really fallen back down to earth recently, but
- 10:05Speaker 2: he's still getting the ball.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Did you want, I guess the question I was going
- 10:08Speaker 1: to finish the, he said it's because of the matchup.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He did. He's afraid of the Vikings defense, I guess.
- 10:14Speaker 2: But I mean, then again, though, I don't, the Vikings
- 10:17Speaker 2: defense wasn't as gray as I thought against the dolphins
- 10:20Speaker 2: last past Sunday. So you just never know.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I thought they held them pretty low.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but the game was like 12-6. Yeah, so that's
- 10:28Speaker 2: good defense. Yeah, but.
- 10:29Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 10:30Speaker 2: But they didn't score 15-10. But they only had like
- 10:34Speaker 2: seven points. I thought they were going to totally dominate.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Meh.
- 10:37Speaker 2: So, I don't know. I'd still... start Jermaine Johnson. I
- 10:40Speaker 2: just don't trust the Browns.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Fannin, he's been kind of Watson's guy. So,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I mean, I get the question. It's a legit question.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I guess I would probably give the nod to Johnson
- 10:53Speaker 1: just because he's been consistent. Like every week, they're at
- 10:58Speaker 1: least targeting him in the end zone and things like that.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And so he's been pretty good for them. So, yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'd probably give a slight edge to Jawan Johnson in
- 11:06Speaker 1: that matchup. This question says, should I give up on
- 11:09Speaker 1: Marvin Harrison at this point? I know he scored last week,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but that was all he did. I have Denzel Boston
- 11:16Speaker 1: as a backup. Should I be starting him?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I think Marvin Harrison's done. I think
- 11:21Speaker 2: he's just a bust.
- 11:23Speaker 1: He looks slow.
- 11:24Speaker 2: He looks like he's quit on the team. which is
- 11:26Speaker 2: never a good sign.
- 11:26Speaker 1: He needs a change of scenery.
- 11:27Speaker 2: But even then.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Like, I'd trade him to the Chiefs or something. Like,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I mean, do something with this guy.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But even then, he just doesn't seem like he's that good,
- 11:34Speaker 2: which is crazy because he.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Was supposed to be. He's got all the talent.
- 11:36Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 11:37Speaker 2: But he doesn't look fast. I don't know. It's weird, man.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, Denzel Boston has been okay. Again, a
- 11:43Speaker 1: lot of Cleveland questions today. Yeah, a lot of Cleveland.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He's been okay. And so, yeah, I would probably– again,
- 11:50Speaker 1: if you look at your game log and see– What
- 11:53Speaker 1: has Harrison done? What has Boston done? Boston is outperforming him.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So at this point, yeah, I get it. I never
- 12:00Speaker 1: want to do the thing where I finally bench a
- 12:01Speaker 1: guy and then he goes off on your bench. I
- 12:03Speaker 1: hate that feeling. But at some point, you've got to go, well,
- 12:06Speaker 1: he's not consistent, so I can't rely on him. So yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you've got to pull the trigger.
- 12:09Speaker 2: And I know that the Cardinals play the Lions this week,
- 12:13Speaker 2: but I think it's going to be a Michael Wilson
- 12:15Speaker 2: game and a Trey McBride game. Oh, yeah. More than anything.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And most games are for him.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Marvin Harrison Jr. doesn't even get that
- 12:23Speaker 2: many targets.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It's weird. Because he's not getting open.
- 12:25Speaker 3: No.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's bizarre. Final question is, again, a quarterback question. Who
- 12:29Speaker 1: should I start, Jalen Hurts or Drake May?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Drake May.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You think he's back?
- 12:33Speaker 2: I mean, Lane Johnson is retired. Cam Juergens just got traded.
- 12:38Speaker 2: The Eagles are only a game out of first place.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I don't know what they're doing. It's really odd because
- 12:43Speaker 2: they're right in it. So I don't know what's going
- 12:45Speaker 2: on there, but no Saquon. I don't know if Devontae
- 12:48Speaker 2: Smith's going to play. I think Drake May is going
- 12:50Speaker 2: to have– he finally found his rhythm a little bit,
- 12:54Speaker 2: and they play the Raiders.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Raiders, obviously better.
- 12:56Speaker 2: They're better, but I still.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Think– Tough matchup with Philly against Jacksonville.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I still would start Drake May.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Drake May is probably your start there.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I may be starting Drake May this week because I
- 13:08Speaker 2: have Kyler Murray and Justin Jefferson doesn't play. I'm going
- 13:10Speaker 2: with Drake May.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I totally agree with that. Definitely in that matchup.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts, you know, you always think Jalen may, you know,
- 13:16Speaker 1: rush one in. So you have that possibility. Jaguars are good, though.
- 13:21Speaker 2: But without, I mean, their offensive line is just in
- 13:22Speaker 2: such shambles now.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah, they may not score a lot of points. Even
- 13:26Speaker 1: with a good offensive line, they haven't looked good. So, yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I think Drake May is probably your start there. All right,
- 13:31Speaker 1: let's get to our starts and sits for the week
- 13:34Speaker 1: at quarterback. Who is your start?
- 13:35Speaker 2: I mean, I think the worst defense in the league
- 13:37Speaker 2: is the Lions at this point. So anytime a team
- 13:39Speaker 2: plays the Lions, I'm taking them. I'm going to start
- 13:42Speaker 2: with Jacoby Brissett. I think he's going to have a
- 13:43Speaker 2: big game against the Lions.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, we just said it. Drake May was
- 13:47Speaker 1: my start for the week.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Oh, there you go.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he's going against the Raiders. He looked
- 13:51Speaker 1: way better this past week. He's got to cut out
- 13:54Speaker 1: the turnovers. I think he's starting to figure it out, though.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And I mean, he was obviously good. I don't know
- 14:00Speaker 1: why he looked so bad the first few weeks, but
- 14:02Speaker 1: I think he's starting to figure it out. So I'm
- 14:04Speaker 1: going to go with Drake May on that one. Who's
- 14:05Speaker 1: your sit?
- 14:05Speaker 2: Jalen Arts. We were just talking about it. I just
- 14:08Speaker 2: wouldn't start really anybody on the Eagles right now.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. It is tough. which affects so many
- 14:13Speaker 1: different players too, Devontae Smith, all that stuff. So yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: that makes sense. My sit, again, is a guy who
- 14:19Speaker 1: you look at and you go, at this point, I
- 14:22Speaker 1: don't know what's going on with the Packers because the
- 14:25Speaker 1: Packers look atrocious, and I don't know what's up. And
- 14:28Speaker 1: the matchup this week with the Packers taking on the Bears, again,
- 14:32Speaker 1: look at the Bears' defense. They have been unbelievable this year.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So Jordan Love this week is easily a sit for me.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I'm worried about the– like, again, they have no running game.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You have Christian Watson. You have Golden. And you have
- 14:47Speaker 1: a couple of targets there that you're hoping he gets
- 14:49Speaker 1: the ball to. But overall, I don't foresee a big
- 14:52Speaker 1: game by Jordan Love. So he's my sit this week.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Running back, who's your start?
- 14:55Speaker 2: This guy scored 30 points in a PPR league last week.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Kyle Menungai against the Packers. I know you're like, well, Swift, Menungai.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I always– last year I had Swift, and I always
- 15:07Speaker 2: got frustrated because Menungai– He was a touchdown vulture. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 2: and I feel like it's already starting. Swift always– he's
- 15:13Speaker 2: always never practicing Wednesday and Thursday, and then he practices Friday.
- 15:16Speaker 1: He's put up points, too. Yeah, but– But last week
- 15:19Speaker 1: was crazy.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Menungai's the guy.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Oh. Is that– are we saying his name correctly? Are
- 15:24Speaker 1: we pronouncing it right?
- 15:25Speaker 3: Menungai?
- 15:25Speaker 2: Or is it Menagi? I thought it was Menungai.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Well, when you made that little pun there, I thought
- 15:29Speaker 1: that was– Menungai, the guy.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Okay. Okay.
- 15:31Speaker 1: My start this week is, again, another guy who kind
- 15:33Speaker 1: of had a slow start. They're finally getting in the ball.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It didn't work out for a win for them last week,
- 15:40Speaker 1: but I do think the Broncos are starting to utilize R.J.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Harvey a little bit more. This guy has to be
- 15:46Speaker 1: involved in the passing game. He's not the best running back,
- 15:49Speaker 1: but he catches balls out of the backfield, and he
- 15:51Speaker 1: does a really good job about that. The Chargers are
- 15:54Speaker 1: in disarray. They're just a hot mess.
- 15:56Speaker 2: They go 0-5?
- 15:56Speaker 1: I mean, I think so, honestly, which is crazy. So
- 16:00Speaker 1: I actually think Again, obviously, if you have better starters
- 16:03Speaker 1: out there, go with them, clearly. But if you're looking
- 16:07Speaker 1: for a guy or he's on your bench and you
- 16:10Speaker 1: have a bye week and you maybe have Kenneth Walker
- 16:12Speaker 1: or whatever, R.J. Harvey is a decent start. So I
- 16:15Speaker 1: think R.J. Harvey has a good week this week. Who's
- 16:16Speaker 1: your sit?
- 16:17Speaker 2: This guy was the preseason number one last year. He
- 16:21Speaker 2: had a pretty whatever season. This year he stinks. I
- 16:25Speaker 2: don't know what this team was thinking making a seventh-round pick.
- 16:28Speaker 2: They're starting running back. Jacory Kroski-Merritt. He stinks.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Bill?
- 16:32Speaker 2: Bill, he stinks. And I think Rashid White's a better back.
- 16:36Speaker 2: So if he practices this week, he'll play. But the
- 16:40Speaker 2: Giants can't stop the run.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Even Rodriguez was getting touches.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah. And then, well, Rodriguez is.
- 16:44Speaker 1: On the Jaguars.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Who was it?
- 16:45Speaker 1: There was another guy that was getting touches.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Austin Eckler.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Who just signed off the street.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Who just signed, yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 2: So I wouldn't start. The Giants can't stop the run,
- 16:52Speaker 2: but I wouldn't trust Rodgers. Bill Merritt this week.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Okay. My sit this week was my darling pick to
- 16:59Speaker 1: have a good season. And he has done nothing. Blake Corum. Yeah, man.
- 17:04Speaker 1: It's so disappointing because I really thought.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And now he's not getting touches.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Well, it was a 50-50 kind of deal there for
- 17:10Speaker 1: a long time. But Kyron Williams is the guy there.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I mean, he's getting all the goal line touches. He's
- 17:14Speaker 1: getting there. And he's the guy. And so Corum, he'll
- 17:18Speaker 1: get barely anything. And so at this point... He still
- 17:22Speaker 1: may be okay at some point, but I don't trust
- 17:24Speaker 1: him week to week thinking he's going to score anything
- 17:27Speaker 1: because he hasn't. And so, again, tough matchup against Buffalo,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but yeah, I just don't. At this point, I'm sitting
- 17:34Speaker 1: Blake Corham. Wide receiver, who's your start?
- 17:36Speaker 2: I said it earlier. I think Michael Wilson will ball out.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I think he's the best receiver. Anytime you have a
- 17:42Speaker 2: receiver and a quarterback matchup against the Lions, start him.
- 17:45Speaker 2: The Lions defense is the worst in the league.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's terrible. It's so bad. And it's always their secondary.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I don't know why. You're going to like this. My
- 17:53Speaker 1: start this week, Malik. neighbors oh wow yeah again Washington
- 17:58Speaker 1: not a great football team um and so the Giants
- 18:01Speaker 1: surprisingly three and one yeah I do feel like Jameis
- 18:04Speaker 1: is starting to get a little bit of a rhythm
- 18:06Speaker 1: going you know it's taking him a while I know you.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Hate him he I know he missed he he threw
- 18:11Speaker 2: three touchdowns but and he threw two picks but it
- 18:14Speaker 2: wasn't just about the picks it was like the So
- 18:17Speaker 2: many open receivers.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Again, this isn't about Jameis. It's about Malik. And so
- 18:22Speaker 1: I do think he's going to find Malik. He just
- 18:25Speaker 1: is going to.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I agree. I just think that he's going to leave
- 18:28Speaker 2: a lot of meat on the bone. Probably.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Probably. But all that matters is he gets you points.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And so I do think neighbors has a big game
- 18:36Speaker 1: against Washington. Who's your sit?
- 18:37Speaker 2: My sit this week is Josh Downs at the Steelers.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Daniel Jones stinks.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Oh, another guy.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Everybody stinks, huh? If you watch the game against– if
- 18:47Speaker 2: Mariota played, I think the commanders would have won because
- 18:51Speaker 2: once he went out, they had no offense. Daniel Jones
- 18:54Speaker 2: can't throw the ball. He stinks. The Steelers have a
- 18:58Speaker 2: pretty good decent defense sitting Josh Downs.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Uh, my thing, your theme is stinks. My theme is like,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm kind of over certain guys. You keep waiting for
- 19:09Speaker 1: them to be great.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Uh, you keep waiting for guys to be good and keep,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you know, hearing all preseason. They're going to be great.
- 19:16Speaker 1: This guy's going to have a breakout year, this guy.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And then they don't like Marvin Harrison is a great
- 19:19Speaker 1: example of that quorum I'm waiting for. The other guy
- 19:22Speaker 1: you're kind of waiting for to have a huge breakout
- 19:24Speaker 1: game and it hasn't happened yet is Roma Dunzay. yeah
- 19:27Speaker 1: like you keep going well he was supposed to be
- 19:30Speaker 1: caleb's guy caleb's not there and you go okay but
- 19:32Speaker 1: even when caleb was there he still didn't do anything
- 19:35Speaker 1: i don't know if i'm going he stinks no but
- 19:37Speaker 1: i do say that yeah but i'm like waiting for
- 19:39Speaker 1: rome to do something he hasn't done anything yet i
- 19:41Speaker 1: know they're playing the packers i do like.
- 19:43Speaker 2: The matchup Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh, you've been waiting for that one. I have. Okay.
- 19:47Speaker 1: That stunk. Okay. So he's my sip for the week.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Tight end, who's your start?
- 19:52Speaker 2: So this guy is very up and down. Like, I'm
- 19:54Speaker 2: looking at his stats right now. He's had three touchdowns
- 19:57Speaker 2: in four games. The one game, the reason why he's
- 20:01Speaker 2: up and down is he didn't have a target. But
- 20:03Speaker 2: no Jamar Chase. Tee Higgins may not play. Mike Gesicki.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Is this your second week in a row?
- 20:08Speaker 2: With Gusecki.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You either said he was your Sid last week. Two
- 20:10Speaker 1: weeks ago, he was my Sid. He got a mention.
- 20:12Speaker 1: He got a mention. I forget what it was.
- 20:14Speaker 2: And now he's your start.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Mike Gusecki. Because no T. Higgins, maybe, and definitely no
- 20:20Speaker 2: Jamar Chase. There's no way he's playing. You get a concussion,
- 20:22Speaker 2: you miss a game. It's just the way that it is.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So I'm not starting. Yeah, I'm starting Gusecki.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Wow.
- 20:27Speaker 2: They're going to have to score points, and they're playing
- 20:28Speaker 2: the Dolphins.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:29Speaker 2: So somebody's going to score points in that game.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That's a wild start. My start this week, a guy, again,
- 20:34Speaker 1: he's kind of up and down, too. There's so many
- 20:38Speaker 1: targets there, so it's kind of hard. But as bad
- 20:41Speaker 1: as the Lions' defense is, their offense is great. So
- 20:44Speaker 1: I like Sam Laporta. I think this week against Arizona,
- 20:47Speaker 1: I think the Lions have a nice bounce-back game. I
- 20:49Speaker 1: think they win this game. And I think Sam Laporta
- 20:51Speaker 1: is going to find the end zone this week. Who's
- 20:52Speaker 1: your sit?
- 20:53Speaker 2: A guy that we were– he's in the Marvin Harrison Jr. world.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I don't even know why they gave him a contract.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pitts. He's never going to be the
- 21:00Speaker 2: guy that.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I thought he was going to be. I think he's
- 21:02Speaker 1: your sit every week. I think he's your sit every week.
- 21:04Speaker 2: He might as well be. I don't even think he's
- 21:05Speaker 2: had the seven points this year.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Does he?
- 21:08Speaker 2: Everyone balls out in that offense.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Does he?
- 21:10Speaker 2: He stinks.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Stink?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Okay, he stinks. The backup running back balls out. John
- 21:14Speaker 2: Robinson balls out. Drake London balls out. They all get
- 21:17Speaker 2: points except for him.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Stinks.
- 21:18Speaker 2: He stinks.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Okay, good to know. The guy I'm sitting this week,
- 21:22Speaker 1: he was a big waiver wire pickup when Brock Bowers
- 21:24Speaker 1: was injured and not playing. Michael Mayer at this point,
- 21:27Speaker 1: Why is he on your roster? Cut him, because Bowers
- 21:30Speaker 1: is back, and he looked great again last week. So
- 21:33Speaker 1: pointless to have him on your team. Just cut him.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I don't know if he stinks, but get rid of him.
- 21:39Speaker 1: So there you go. Hopefully your week doesn't stink, and
- 21:42Speaker 1: hopefully you go out there and get a win.
