[upbeat rock music] And welcome to Full Spectrum Cycling,
• 0:23
this being show number 165. Today- When-... when we're doing the show I got nothing. In the notes, I started [laughs] 166 because I thought 165 was actually last week's show.
• 0:35
I got confused when I looked, but then I- No, I'm kidding... got it. Yeah, 16- well, anyway. [laughs] There was a bunch of stuff that we didn't get to last week- Right... that we may get to this week. Maybe. May not.
• 0:43
Maybe, maybe. It's all filler, folks. There's really nothing of substance there pretty much. Right. Just a wonderful cud. [chomping] Chewing, chewing on the cud. [laughs] Today here in the- Cud spit room...
• 0:55
podcast Milwaukee, Podcast MKE Studio, we got JK. Hello, hello. Fat Tony. Yep. And, uh, we got no more music, so I guess it's time to start talking. So [laughs] But we funded the music and got called out. Wait, what?
• 1:13
By, uh, Fat Bike Tony on the 91.7. Ah. Oh, yeah, yeah. That was three times, third time. I saw that in the, in the texties, but I didn't know what it was all about. It's in the archives. It's- What's that all about?
• 1:22
What show was that? Quite, it's- It was a Von Munz show. It, it was... Yeah, every, every pledge drive I decide to donate to a different DJ just because.
• 1:31
Um, and this year or this period, it was Eric Von Munz, and I thought I'd pitch the, uh, Full Spectrum Cycling podcast. So I said, "You know, this is
• 1:42
Fat Bike Tony throwing out a challenge for you people willing to listen to the, the, uh- And it was spoken to-... the Full Spectrum Cycling podcast- [laughs]... to anyone willing to donate and match me or try."
• 1:53
And I threw out 120 bucks, and of all people, Chris Zito threw in 120 bucks- Oh, nice... from Bike Milwaukee. Way to go, Zito. And then JK threw in some cash.
• 2:05
Well, yeah, after the, uh- So now we know the name of our listener... over, over-the-air shame. Yeah. I, you know, and- [laughs]... and I totally pitched the, uh- I was like, damn [laughs]...
• 2:14
I totally pitched Full Spectrum Cycling too. I'm like, for the f- you know, and- Right on, right on... and Squid got to, like, j- Yeah... gave me the shout-out for the whole thing.
• 2:22
I'm like, John McCain's daughter has talked- [laughs]... shouted me out on air. Shouted you out. I'm like, that's, so yeah, that was- No, it's one of the few days I wasn't listening to that show.
• 2:31
I think we were trying to get stuff done downstairs and- I was napping and I got called out over the air for napping. [laughs] Yeah.
• 2:38
And we did- You do not nap during Eric Von Munz's show [laughs] He, he is pretty much my favorite DJ. Hell yeah.
• 2:44
He is a fantastic- And then he got the slide in where it was just like, yeah, I could've been playing a whole hour of Clutch and you'd never known. [laughs] That was the best. And I'm just like, damn, dude.
• 2:52
[laughs] WMSC.org. Yeah, you found the greatest radio station. Also, you would, you would, yeah, you could stream it anywhere- I got the license plate cover... in the world. Oh, did you? Oh, yeah. Hell damn yeah, I did.
• 3:00
I had to. If you, uh, if you support the station, they got a lot of good... Schwag. Yeah. What do you call them? Uh, bonuses or rewards or- Yeah, yeah... whatever. I got a lapel pin too. A lapel pin.
• 3:10
Turn- turntable lapel pin. All right. That's, uh, that's WMSC, folks. Yep. Point one. [imitates guns firing] Cha-ching. I think, was that in our thing? I don't know. Whatever. I don't know. Yeah, yeah.
• 3:20
Call it an audible or whatever you wanna do. I know the biggest event of the past week was [blows air through closed lips] Riverwest 24 registration, folks.
• 3:26
Wow, you almost said it completely in unison the whole way through. [laughs] 'Cause it was outstanding. Talk about perfect weather. Yeah.
• 3:34
There was only one other year that sleeping out had perfect weather, and l- you're sleeping out at, at Black Husky, other than the getting grumpy because my, my hammock failed and- Your fancy Hennessey failed...
• 3:47
yeah, and I ended up on the ground. Well, isn't it like rock? Like- Gravel, pea gravel... pointy, pointy- Yeah... pointy rocks? I'm very happy to say I missed all the plants.
• 3:57
I was- Yeah, and the planter, which is like- It just seems like- And the planter which could've hurt like hell... yeah, it would have.
• 4:02
[laughs] So I, I, uh, I, I met Tony over there and started the Riverwest 24 photo coverage- Yeah... as he arrived to begin. And when I left, you were actually sleeping in the chair. It was very comfortable.
• 4:12
I thought you were just gonna crib in the chair the whole night long. So was I, but then I thought, "Oh, I brought this hammock." I kind of flaked on that completely- Yeah... until I saw the [laughs] shit the next day.
• 4:20
I'm like, "Oh, oh." [laughs] Yeah, it was, it was fun. That's today and that was last night. My friend Sarah's tradition showed up. Uh, she's, she's the sweetest. On the morning? Uh, the morning of, yep.
• 4:30
It's a running joke we've had forever. Yeah, she was there before I brought you coffee, so. Thank you for bringing me that coffee. I need to know what that was other than Sendik's. It was pretty damn good.
• 4:35
Uh, that would be Sendik's, uh... Yeah, I can get you the- At breakfast, or what was that? That was, that was- Fancy red bag version... good. I don't know. I can figure it out. Yes. You good? It was a fun time.
• 4:43
I, the, the, I, my team name was thrown at me, which I think is absolutely perfect. [laughs] Um, it's, it's offensive and, and great. It's Damn It Damien, Where's My Fucking Ham? Ah.
• 4:56
[laughs] Because we want Scardina's to open again soon. Well, I got so excited- [laughs]... when I read the show notes quickly that it was gonna open on June 12th. Yeah.
• 5:07
But that's actually a different thing, so we'll get to that in a little while. And, and that got canceled. I know, right, which we'll talk about.
• 5:12
But yes, the other, the other most hilarious thing was being in line for the Riverwest 24 and hearing a tattooed young lady who had a really cute tattoo of a pasta that said al dente, and she's, she said, "You know, my dad got his first tattoo in last year's Riverwest 24."
• 5:30
I said, "Oh, really? Where?" And she said, "In a house under construction." She might've said in [laughs] an abandoned house. I can't remember. [laughs] I'm like- Yeah, yeah... "No."
• 5:39
That, that's what's, where all the punk rock shows are done, isn't it? Yeah. I'm like, "No, he got it in my house." Mwa-ha-ha-ha.
• 5:46
And the lady, the, the young lady thought it was the coolest thing where I'm like, "Yes, several hundred people got tattooed in my house- Your dad is not special... 24 hours." [laughs] Not like that, no. It's just- No.
• 5:59
I'm like, wow. [laughs] That's so cool to me. It's probably not several hundred. Four an hour- No, eight an hour I get- For 20 hours...
• 6:06
Tony over there dream crushing That's, that's a lot of tattoo ink 160 in my- Yeah, that's a lot of tattoo ink... in my mathematical brain. Right. Yeah. [smacks lips] Whoa. Wow. Whoa. Dropou- hey, Dropout...
• 6:16
Now, we got the Dropout Fight Club downstairs. That's the, uh, more boxing oriented, kind of fitness-based, boxing-oriented- Circuit... or, or real boxing circuit training- Kind of thing... boxing business.
• 6:28
But Otto- Otto... who owns Dropout Fight Club, just announced that- It's gonna be-... in the room directly to the north of where we are right now will be Dropout Athletic. Oh.
• 6:38
Which will be more CrossFit than, than boxing. I, I think they're kind of a different- We're moving across... crowd.
• 6:46
Which is gonna be right next to the, the new location of the bike shop is gonna be right [laughs] there. Are you doing the rope thing? It's gonna... Yeah, there's a big rope. [laughs] I totally saw that.
• 6:54
Tony- I totally saw it was a big rope thing. JK's doing the big rope deal. That's more like a strongman thing or is that a CrossFit thing? Whatever. I don't see. That's a CrossFit thing.
• 7:01
It's, uh- It's, you get, you got your ket- Tires, too... you got your kettle bells, you got your this and that's and... But I, hey, more power to them, 'cause guess what we get out of the deal? New bathrooms. Oh.
• 7:11
Two new bathrooms right across from the new shop. Um- That's where, that's why they were ripping that section out... convenient.
• 7:18
Well, we ripped, we ripped the old storage room out so you can get through there now, because otherwise it would be blocked off by the shop. Oh, all right. Tech- technically, it's not done yet, but- It will be...
• 7:31
theoretically by next week it will. Right, right, right. So it'll be a good thing. Yes. We're gonna go down there and check it out after the, after the, the big show that you're all listening to.
• 7:41
A really big sh- Really big shoe... really big shoe. Shout out to my wife- Shoe... 'cause she said she hasn't been listening to the show. Wendy, hi there. Hey, Wendy. She, she- My wife doesn't listen to this show...
• 7:49
well, she's, she's wrapping up school and testing and not having a lot of time to goof off and listen, so. Looking for a podcast to listen to. Why don't I listen to- [laughs] I think she-... Ta Da...
• 8:00
I think she's like, "What's the only way I know what you're doing?" I'm like, "Yeah, well, you know." [laughs] Sorry, Wendy. No, yeah, K- [laughs] Kim's like, "Uh, I tried. [laughs] I have no idea- Fair enough...
• 8:12
what you're fucking talking about." [laughs] Molly does once in a while listen, and I'm, like, kind of shocked at that. [laughs] Yeah, just so she can- I'm like, "I don't even-... see how childish we all are...
• 8:21
I don't either"... sometimes. Maybe, maybe. I'm sometimes- Make sure I'm not talking about naked chicks and stuff. [laughs] Yeah, sometimes when we're talking, man- But that, what you're talking about is fine...
• 8:28
like, like that, that dude that didn't win reelection, that Madison dude who I think is- Oh, yeah. Oh, yes... talk about naked chicks and stuff. Well- [laughs]... you know, that's what you get when you're a dick. Yep.
• 8:39
[laughs] Uh, so and he's so- Oh, yeah. Yes. I guess I'm looking at my cro- [laughs] my crotch, man. Here. [laughs] Yeah. He's still here, though. That, that asshole's still here. Oh, that's Matt, Matt, Matt's mouth.
• 8:48
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, uh- Matt... at More 24 registration, that... So the next day, I did not plan on being there for another 12 hours, so I've already done 12 hours of the 24. I did 52 before it even started once.
• 9:02
[laughs] Mm-hmm. You know, come on, man. I did the lottery. You're, you're preaching to the choir now. Right? I did the lottery. It was really fun. I think I got a little of- I did the lottery... the sunstroke.
• 9:09
It was very, very nice- Yes... on registration day. Yes. It was gorgeous, but it was hot. I did as well. Wendy said I was pink. I, I met Elphaba- Yes, I was very flush-... the girl with the mohawk... for the next day.
• 9:19
Um, I was also quite warm. And so lethargic. Thank, thank God for Dan and, and, uh, and Jessica for having some sunscreen, 'cause they put some on my face or I'd have been in really rough shape.
• 9:30
Well, I was trying to stay under the umbrellas or in the shade- Yeah, I kept moving... and I, it just didn't work. I met a lot of really fun people. It was really a neat day.
• 9:40
Um, there were, there were- And I got in solo. And I met Lon. Solo. Yeah. And somebody... I, I was looking at the, the, the leaderboard's already up, which is cool. [laughs] Um- Who's winning? W- Well, no, I'm- I am...
• 9:51
just the names. You know, just catching the names. I'm always winning. Some clever names, man. Eh. And I have one of them. I [laughs] if I do say so my damn self, I'm a loner, Dotty, a rebel. I like it. Loner Solo.
• 10:06
I was gonna do, um, Solo Lone. Well, you were wearing the T-shirt. I think that's already been taken. There's already been a Loner Solo. I know. Yeah. But there was one, yeah, well, at first. And that's taken.
• 10:17
When I w- the f- my first solo adventure, I was thinking that one. You might as just went as Team James T. Kirk. But then, like no, somebody put, uh, Han Solo Alone. Solo, Solo Alone. [laughs] I don't know. It was fun.
• 10:30
I don't know. So that's happening the last, uh, weekend of July, 29, 30. Mm-hmm. Hopefully I get more than one or two laps. Wonder if they're gonna cancel the Brady Street Festival too, which is the- No... same Saturday.
• 10:43
Weekend. Um, also, I just happened to catch on WMUC today the, uh, on Squid, you should listen to Squid, um, the Summer Solstice on North Avenue's got some, actually some really great local bands this year.
• 10:58
I just think with all the- I haven't-... bullshittery of the last week here in Milwaukee that a lot of- Yeah, yeah, yeah... these free festivals where everybody used to have fun are getting ruined by- People with guns...
• 11:07
by youths. People with guns. Youths with guns. And- Well, the location of- Matt, all those kids were-... not to get all locally- Matt, all the shooters were youths... locally whatever, yada, yada, yada, but where the...
• 11:20
Some of those shots were fired, remember River Splash? And remember why? [laughs] Yeah, yeah. River Splash went bye bye. It, yeah, yeah. [laughs] I was like, that's exactly, like, you're reenacting 1997.
• 11:31
And- Well, they've already, they've already canceled- History... Locust Street Days, which would be a really- Mm... day- Mm-hmm... which was a really good festival, which the old shop- I, I don't think they-...
• 11:40
was right there... I don't think they canceled that because of this. I think they canceled it because it's just they realized it's just way too short a notice. I don't know. James- 'Cause I checked the website- So-...
• 11:48
today, there's no bands... James' band was in. They c- they were gonna play. Oh, fuck. Hawk As a Weapon, our, our downstairs neighbor with the- Yeah, that sucks... the practice space and studio business.
• 11:57
Speaking, speaking of bands, you see that, uh, I'm thr- doing a huge throwback here, but X-Ray Arcade has got Joan Loves Jezebel coming. [laughs] I'm like- I think I was aware of it... I told that to Molly.
• 12:08
She's like, "Oh, God, when?" Like, "We're totally going to that show." I'm like, "Yes, we are." That's gonna be a good show. All right. Ring-a-ding-a-ding-a-ding-a-ding. Oh, this thing. Oh, it's right there.
• 12:17
Oh, I didn't see it. [bell ringing] Hey, Top of the Hill everybody. [bell ringing] Top of the Hill. JK brought the, uh, Top of the Hill brew once again. Again? Yeah. It's a Squeezy Rider. Yeah, Squeezy.
• 12:33
I, I thought it was a clever name- Yeah... until I noticed the wave. I don't know if they're talking about surfing or if it's... But it's still a good name. It's West Coast IPA. Yeah, yeah.
• 12:41
There was a, a dab of dankness. Dankness. "Chill out with this juicy refresher that's packed with heaps of hops." It does, um- "Brings torrential tides-... it is very juicy. It's-...
• 12:50
of tropical flavor and a dab of dankness," man. It's got a punch. It clocks in at 7. I didn't notice until after I poured it. Yeah, it, it- Well, it's good there's only six of them then. Right.
• 12:59
[laughs] 'Cause it's got a punch. Yeah, it's got a follow-through on it. Each, for each person. So- Just saying... this reminds me of something that I read when I was trying to
• 13:08
do more podcasting education, and apparently if people are all like [lips smacking] when they talk with the smacking- Mm-hmm... if you suck on a lemon for about a half hour that goes away. [laughs] Oh, shit.
• 13:22
Because this has some sort of- Lemon-y... fruit, tropical fruity kind of going- So it's gone away, is that what you're saying? Well, I don't do that normally anyway. Me neither. I don't think. Do I?
• 13:31
No, not as far as I know. Well, you're the one that keeps listening to this damn recording. [laughs] Well, you know, just gotta make sure we're- My old roommate-... not totally fucking up...
• 13:38
would smack anything up as a- Hey, just so, just so everybody knows, uh, Big Sexy's in the green room, but, uh, be- before we get to Big Sexy, do you need a lemon, Michael? [laughs] Michael, do you need a lemon, Michael?
• 13:49
Well, I'll be right. I do wanna mention another event, actually cycling oriented, that's coming up here in Milwaukee. Everything is cycling oriented. Fat Tire Tour of Milwaukee. Yeah, June what?
• 13:58
18th, which I would imagine is Father's Day weekend, isn't it? But the Saturday of- Yeah... possibly. Milwaukee Shop of Horrors theme. Yep. Not sure what that means, unless you're gonna go as the- Little Shop?
• 14:11
What's the plant's name? Little Shop of Horrors. Seymour? Uh, feed me. No, Seymour. Feed me, Seymour. Seymour is, uh- The plant is named, oh- The plant... what happened? No, it's got a name. What is its name?
• 14:20
I'm not into the musical. But the- Oh, I love that movie... but on a, if that- And the musical... you know, if that day is a good day- It's not bad... there'll be 4 to 500 people- Yeah, easily...
• 14:28
riding bikes in Milwaukee. Yeah. So. Easily. June 18th, good time to come to Milwaukee and check that out. A well marshaled ride, not a chaotic- Yeah, there's cops and everything...
• 14:38
yeah, and super fun time, and- Right, we're gonna have to-... like, like doing our seat of the pants, which, Jesus Christ, come on We're gonna have to revisit our Steelies route planning. I like- Yeah. Why, hey.
• 14:48
[laughs] Hey, we've got a, we got, like, the same thing stuck in the- All right, everybody We already have a, a... Yeah, there was, like, the unused path. It's that time.
• 14:58
[laughs] Welcome to the radio program called- Audrey... Who Do We Have on the Line? Audrey. Audrey is the- The plant's name is Audrey... right. It's, uh, it's, it's Big, it's Big Sexy and Heather. Beard. No Audrey?
• 15:08
Yeah, Audrey's- How y'all doing? We're doing well. How's Big Sexy? Don't forget Heather, though. And Heather. And Heather. Oh, how's Heather? She's the victim here. Uh-oh. [laughs] Sitting on top of her, as you do.
• 15:22
No, no, no. She's fine. Um, I, I, I actually had a really wonderful time, uh, in very, very, very northeast Arkansas. Um, it's called Paragould. Okay.
• 15:35
Um, a fella, a fella, uh, by the name of Matthew installed the chain,
• 15:42
the n- the new main chain, and, uh, we tightened her up, and we, we, and we, and we did some nuts and bolts on the, on the bottom carriage of Heather, and everything seemed to be okay. And he was such a nice guy, man.
• 15:57
He's, he, he, he charged me five bucks. I gave him 10. He came out with a couple of beers- Nice... an excusing, a couple stickers. I, I'm like, I'm like, "Dude, come... Uh, come on, let me tip you."
• 16:08
You know what I'm saying? I know. I w- I was gonna say- Yeah, yeah, that's cool... you tipped him the beers. Um- [laughs]...
• 16:13
and, and it was the same, it, it's almost the same as Fernandina Beach with one of those guys who has worked on Heather a, at least twice.
• 16:21
And every time I try to give them a little extra, they gotta g- give me a little extra at the end. I'm like, "Come on. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm trying to, like, give you a little extra for helping me out."
• 16:32
And they're like, "Oh, no, no, no. We're gonna give you a little extra now."
• 16:35
It's like, it's kinda like it, it becomes like a, um, you know, when you put your hand down and the person puts your ha- their hand on top of your hand, you put your hand on top of their hand, and you go blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
• 16:44
It's like when you have a, when you have a baseball bat, whoever gets to the top of the bat first is the- Right, right, the winner... or loser- Right... depending on how you do it. Right. E- e- exactly.
• 16:53
But, you know, I w- I was just, I was just, I was just trying to be the, the, the nice citizen and tip them for their services, but they just kept on coming out with more shit.
• 17:02
And more and more people came out and, and asked me my story and blah, blah, and they're like, "Oh, man, you know, oh, it looks like your tires are a little, uh, your tires are getting a little thin."
• 17:12
I'm like, "Yeah, well, you know, I, as soon as I can afford it, I'm gonna get some new ones." And, uh, I'll tell you what, I've gone through four inner tubes in the past two days, and it, it's, it's all because
• 17:27
I could find the leak, and I've got a patch kit and all that. I can fi- I, I can do it, but I've got the inner tube, so I'm like, "What the... Uh, why spend the time and the gut-wrenching, you know,
• 17:42
frustration on that when I got inner tubes?" Now I've got almost 27 miles to go to a fucking Walmart before I get inner tubes. I got one inner tube left, and I got three slow leaks going on here. Ruh-roh.
• 17:57
Did you, did you save the tubes so you can patch them when you're bored? Yeah, no. Um, uh, i- if, if I were to save the tubes, I would look like, uh- [laughs] I, I, I have no idea what I would look like- [laughs]...
• 18:09
but I'd have, like, inner tubes flapping out of everywhere- I would think-... and rubbing up against the tires and getting stuck in the spokes and shit like that Like, no, um- Looking at that...
• 18:18
but, um, the, the slow leaks in the back tires are very slow. It's like a couple days. Oh, that's fine. But, but old, old fronty here goes down every couple of hours. So I was like, "Uh."
• 18:32
But I've only got, uh, 17, about 17, maybe 20 miles to go to the, to the next Walmart so I can get some tubes and some tires, so. Are, are you out of Arkansas yet? Yes.
• 18:44
I am, I am officially in Missouri, and I don't know... Oh, okay. Um, I forgot to do roll call. Who's all there? You got Sven, y- you got JK, and you got Tony. Yep. Okay. Three of you? Yep. Okay.
• 18:58
Out of the three, out of, out of the three of you, I want three guesses on how much a 12-pack of 16-ounce hams, a half pint of Jagermeister, and a bag of ice was here in Missouri today. Sven says 12 bucks. How much?
• 19:16
[laughs] 12, wait, wait. A 12-pack of hams of- 12-... 12 16-ouncers... 12, 12-pack of 16-ounce hams. Okay. 12-pack of 16-ounce hams, half pint of Jagermeister, and a small bag of ice. Oh.
• 19:31
  I don't know the Jagermeister market. Yeah. That's, that's a- That's my hard part... that's a new currency on me. 17.99. I'll go $25. Okay, I heard 25. Yep. Sven says 12. Sven says 12. Yeah, that's a little low. I know.
• 19:47
Tony's- Come on, man. You're in the middle of a walk-in... Tony, what did Tony say? 17.99. T- Tony said 17.99. I'm looking at the receipt right now. 18.42. Ooh. Oh. Winner, winner, Tony's dinner.
• 19:58
You were closest without going over. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. That, that, that would've been, that would've been, that would've been 25 or 26, maybe more, dollars in Arkansas. What, what was the Jager?
• 20:10
That had to be the high one. The Jager was 7.49 for the half pint. So wait, how mu- the hams was ex- it was expensive as heck Maybe the ice was expensive. Probably was. The, the hams were 3.80 for a six-pack, Be- Bob.
• 20:26
Geez. 3.80. Yeah, the ice was probably five bucks for the bag. The ice was 99 cents. [laughs] I don't like math. Math, I'm having to add too many numbers. I don't like math.
• 20:39
So what, what i- what are the next- God, I love Missouri [laughs] What are the next, uh- And misery... what does the next week, um, look like for you? Where are you headed in, in Missouri? I'm, I'm heading up the river.
• 20:51
Um, um, we're, uh, we're gonna come back to this, but I'm in New Madrid right now. Do you know what, you know what that is? No. Negatory. Okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. So I'm in New Madrid right now. I'm, I'm heading to St.
• 21:06
Louis. I have a friend in St. Louis who's gonna put me up in a Red Roof Inn, and she's gonna take me out on the town like she did last time, and we're gonna have a great time.
• 21:15
And then I'm heading up to Minneapolis, and then, uh, eventually into Wisconsin, and then to River West 24. But, um, back to New Madrid, in 1811/1812, because this happened in December and January,
• 21:31
they suffered a major, major earthquake. And it sunk most of the town down, and it, it caused the Mississippi River to, to flow backwards for a couple of days. Wow.
• 21:49
And they say it can happen again. Of course it can. Yeah, this is a very active fault line. If you look it up on YouTube, you can, you can, you can learn about it.
• 21:59
And a- as I was going over a bridge over I-55 today, I'm like, "Okay, no earthquakes, no earthquakes, no earthquakes. Come on, let's go."
• 22:06
[laughs] Because, I mean, if a earthquake happened when I'm over an interstate, I'm fucking toast. Yep. Yep. Seen that happen in- But i- i- you know, if I'm-... in San Francisco...

• 22:45
Oh, please- I've heard the name Hailstorm. It's not funny... intro- introduce me, introduce me, introduce me to her if I ever arrive. I wanna know a girl named Hailstorm. Yeah, she's... Well, we, she may be around.

• 23:16
Um, I'll, I'll probably, uh, give it a couple weeks at least, but, um, but yeah, but no, we're, we're doing great.
• 23:22
We need, we need new tires, because every time we run over anything, we're getting a flat, so it's, it's time for new tires. Right. We'll see what we can put together. But then, you know, that,
• 23:34
that's a, that's a couple of bucks, and then, and I, I just keep on going on my way. It's, it's fine and dandy.
• 23:40
I'm, I'll, I'll make it up that way, and I'll, uh, I'll, uh, probably be in contact with you in a couple weeks. All right, man. Sounds great. Good to hear from you. Glad you're doing well, and Heather as, as well.

• 24:23
That's the problem, is you gotta go to Missouri [laughs] to do it You know, along the river there though, if he's along the Miss-sip right there, it's not a bad drive As a, uh, as a young man, I, uh, supported my car habit by driving to Missouri to buy fireworks inexpensively to resell in Wisconsin Oh, yeah Yeah, you could buy a gross- Across state lines, you were a felon probably Yeah.
• 24:44

• 25:20
I'm like, "I have no idea what you're talking about." He's like, "I'm really looking to buy some fireworks." [laughs] And I open the door, I'm like, "Come on right down, sir."
• 25:27

• 25:29
Fireworks Emporium It was hilarious, 'cause he, you know, full uniform, and he bought, like, a couple of gross of bottle rockets, some Roman candles, some firecrackers. And he's like, "Have a great day." I'm like, "Wow."
• 25:39
You know, they got a lot of lakes up that way. You can- Yeah, you can... fire them over Bottle rockets into a bucket of water, so cool All right. So someday we'll have Dave Lunz on the show- Bottle rockets...
• 25:47
and he can tell you about Roman candles and bottle rockets inside his apartment on Humboldt.
• 25:52
[laughs] He had these plants in the window, so we just put the bottle rockets in there, and some of them stayed in there, but some of them didn't.
• 25:58
And we were laughing, and we're like, "Well, that'd be kinda fun just to let them fly around the living room." And- Yeah, they did, didn't they? And the Roman candles came out [laughs] Inside the house.
• 26:07
And then the smoke coming out of the house made the lady next door think the house was on fire [laughs] So she called the f- fire department? I don't know.
• 26:14
Not as far as we know, 'cause- Oh, you didn't have, like, the connection I don't know that we did or didn't, but it happened more than once, because people were laughing so hard- Oh... when they heard it.
• 26:23
They're like, "Can we do it again?" We're like, "Yeah, I guess." [laughs] Oh, Professor Lunz. Prof- now, yeah, now. Well, that story can't get out. Oh my gosh. Might have to edit. No, we don't do that.

• 28:27
[laughs] the, the wine salesman, uh, who used to live in River West is the reason I know about the Riverwest 24. We, Molly and I had moved back to Milwaukee, and he was selling wine at Sendik's, and
• 28:40
I was getting wine, 'cause wine At Sendik's because- Because, yeah... instead of at Dino's, where it's- And, and he asked me-... very, very inexpensive [laughs] for a very long pour from Donnie Well, he, he, he...

• 30:33
It's, you know, I've, I've been in it before. It's very- I do think a lighthouse would be great-... very cramped... but I think it's a lot easier to find a lighthouse to spend the night in than a submarine. Probably.
• 30:44
But this thing's been up there for, I don't know, 25-plus years- Yeah, yeah. No, I, I-... if not more I mean, yeah, last time I took the Badger, I remember, like, had a half hour to- I don't-...
