- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya Brad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are.
- 0:15Speaker 3: We are screw rubbing.
- 0:18Speaker 2: What happened?
- 0:19Speaker 4: That was my fault. I'm sorry.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Yeah, our engineer is.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I apologize anything.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm raw dogging to it.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Let's just leave it. Tanya doesn't have headphones in. It's fine.
- 0:34Speaker 3: We're scrubbing in.
- 0:35Speaker 2: We are screw rubbing about us.
- 0:36Speaker 3: We can swivel, pivot.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Pivot on the flash of a dime. Yep.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah. I was laughing at our episode with Haley and
- 0:47Speaker 3: I said, and ticket sales are on sale.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Now you're nervous.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I don't. I go Haley, I think you made me nervous.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I think she did. Yeah, she does not making me nervous.
- 1:00Speaker 3: You blush a little bit.
- 1:02Speaker 2: How you doing, dude?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Good? Hoiden, I'm good, just fresh off of the three
- 1:08Speaker 3: day weekend.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Md w mm hmmmmm.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Then what did you do?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Well, first things first, I don't know when to get
- 1:15Speaker 5: into this, but the Survivor finale was crazy.
- 1:21Speaker 6: I'd be careful because there are people that do not
- 1:24Speaker 6: want to know who won who out.
- 1:26Speaker 2: There has not seen.
- 1:27Speaker 6: I don't know who won, and I'm being very careful
- 1:29Speaker 6: about that.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That Yeah, that's right, that's right there.
- 1:33Speaker 3: At this point, there's no this is crazy.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Do you want to talk about it because I can
- 1:40Speaker 6: walk out of the room. Well, yeah, let me know
- 1:46Speaker 6: when you're done.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I won't spoil it.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you kind of what happens.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I want to hear about being there. That's just no names.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Okay, sure, sure, great, And then when I say names,
- 1:57Speaker 5: I'll tell you to vacate the premise.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:59Speaker 5: So oh, this is the first Survivor finale that they've
- 2:02Speaker 5: had since the pandemic, so pre Pandy. This is no
- 2:05Speaker 5: live sorry Live finale. Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And so.
- 2:10Speaker 5: We were there with the Pod meets World boys.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I do enjoy those boys.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Are you strong? Yes?
- 2:17Speaker 4: And will Fredell?
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yes?
- 2:19Speaker 5: And they were really cute and sweet and we were
- 2:22Speaker 5: all on the same road together. So we show up.
- 2:25Speaker 5: It's like basically it's filming is from five to eight pm.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Check in is from two thirty to four thirty. And
- 2:33Speaker 5: I was like, babe, I need we need to get
- 2:34Speaker 5: there like as early as possible because they scare you.
- 2:36Speaker 5: They're like, if you're not in your seats by four
- 2:37Speaker 5: forty five, like your seats are gone. And I was like,
- 2:40Speaker 5: if there's a long line, like the last thing I
- 2:42Speaker 5: want to do is like show up again, show up
- 2:44Speaker 5: in white, get kicked out, show up late, get kicked out.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Like that's not what I want.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So we pick up Sabby from school, pick them up early.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Go.
- 2:52Speaker 2: We're like the first ones there.
- 2:54Speaker 5: They check you in, they put you in like kind
- 2:56Speaker 5: of like a holding room where there's like water and
- 2:58Speaker 5: like some snacks, et cetera. We are Ding Dong's and
- 3:03Speaker 5: we were in the press line and there was like
- 3:05Speaker 5: press badges, but I wasn't like press, like.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I wasn't doing interviews, so I didn't think to.
- 3:09Speaker 3: You were a fan.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I was a fan fan first, so I didn't think
- 3:13Speaker 5: to grab the press badge. Had we grab the press badges,
- 3:17Speaker 5: we could have gone to the carpet where Boston Rob was,
- 3:20Speaker 5: where all the contestants were. They were doing fun like
- 3:23Speaker 5: games like the Survivor games for people.
- 3:27Speaker 3: How did you know I was there?
- 3:30Speaker 5: I realized it as I was watching social media and
- 3:33Speaker 5: I was like, oh, that's where that's I think where
- 3:38Speaker 5: we were meant to go. So that was a sad realization. However,
- 3:43Speaker 5: it did not damper our our time because we we
- 3:46Speaker 5: show over with the We were the first ones to
- 3:48Speaker 5: enter the whole like thing.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty cute. Robably got a video.
- 3:53Speaker 6: It's not Television City anyway.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It was the Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Oh cool.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but listen to how crazy this is.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Every single chair in the auditorium fourteen hundred people had
- 4:03Speaker 5: our name on it. Oh wow, like every chair was
- 4:05Speaker 5: accounted for.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Those are some busy.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Yeah, did you spy any name, any exciting names when
- 4:14Speaker 4: you're walking in?
- 4:14Speaker 5: Yes? So there were like past survivor contestants like sitting
- 4:18Speaker 5: around us that we were excited about.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Some of them were on the.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Show Traders, and so like that was like fun to
- 4:23Speaker 5: kind of see. So everybody files in and basically during
- 4:28Speaker 5: so what they do is they show like the stuff
- 4:30Speaker 5: that they aired in Fiji, and then they cut to
- 4:33Speaker 5: live present moment finale. Right, so like you're all watching
- 4:37Speaker 5: a show on a screen that happened in Fiji a
- 4:40Speaker 5: year ago. But then Jeff Probes is live in studio
- 4:43Speaker 5: with you, doing some stuff with certain contestants that have been.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Right in and out of commercials and out of commercials.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Correct, So it's like kind of live but also kind
- 4:51Speaker 5: of taped. Okay, okay, you might want to leave the premise.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Okay, thank you very much. I'll see you.
- 4:56Speaker 5: So actually want I won't use So we're watching the show. Okay,
- 5:02Speaker 5: now we're down to the final four, no names, final four.
- 5:06Speaker 5: But what they do at the final four is to
- 5:08Speaker 5: go in to the final three and then the other
- 5:11Speaker 5: two make fire and it's like this like competition. They
- 5:14Speaker 5: make fire, whoever burns the thing, and then the flag
- 5:16Speaker 5: goes out. They go to the final three. Okay, so
- 5:19Speaker 5: we're watching we know, we now see and they make
- 5:23Speaker 5: this whole story arc out of it. This person doesn't
- 5:26Speaker 5: know how to make fire, but then they're getting taught
- 5:27Speaker 5: how to make fire, and that's gonna be like this
- 5:29Speaker 5: big comeback and you're like whoa. So we see them
- 5:32Speaker 5: go in cuts to commercial or cuts to live. Jeff
- 5:36Speaker 5: Probes walks out. He brings out one of the people
- 5:39Speaker 5: who's in the live fire making contest, and in my mind,
- 5:43Speaker 5: I'm like, this feels risky. This is a contestant. They're
- 5:46Speaker 5: not media trained, they don't know what they're gonna say.
- 5:49Speaker 2: What if they blow it?
- 5:50Speaker 5: You know, and then surely they're gonna bring out the
- 5:52Speaker 5: second person making fire right after to interview them. Jeff says,
- 5:57Speaker 5: and now here's your final member of the jury and
- 6:01Speaker 5: has him sit down, and we're all like, like, everybody's
- 6:05Speaker 5: like looking around, like we didn't see that. We didn't
- 6:08Speaker 5: see him lose, So we're all freaking out, like what's
- 6:11Speaker 5: going on? And then Jeff goes what just happened, Like
- 6:15Speaker 5: what what have you guys seen? And so everybody's like,
- 6:17Speaker 5: we don't know who won, and all the people in
- 6:19Speaker 5: the juries and they're like they didn't see them do fire.
- 6:23Speaker 3: So then they come, you haven't seen the news like
- 6:28Speaker 3: this is a sideline.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Jeff Probes accidentally reveals winners that stay far away from
- 6:33Speaker 6: that story.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I know have chills thinking about it because it was
- 6:36Speaker 5: so we're like, surely this.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Is not live, Like this is crazy.
- 6:41Speaker 5: They just spoil like it's a spoiler in like the
- 6:43Speaker 5: biggest episode of the whatever. We go on social media
- 6:47Speaker 5: to check, and sure enough, people in New York were
- 6:49Speaker 5: posting like what just happened, Oh yeah, phones, yeah, that's.
- 6:54Speaker 3: The age of social media. They want you to hire.
- 6:57Speaker 5: They they put him on airplane mode, which I'm probably
- 6:59Speaker 5: the only or that did. But I was like, I
- 7:02Speaker 5: was getting a lot of amber alerts that day because
- 7:04Speaker 5: they was like and I was like, if my phone
- 7:06Speaker 5: goes off and I get kicked out again, I was like,
- 7:08Speaker 5: I just want to stay in here.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Amber alerts for fires, just like to maybe read those
- 7:16Speaker 3: every No anyway.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Anyways, justids the point I put my phone on on
- 7:22Speaker 5: a airplane mode like a loser, and so we're like,
- 7:26Speaker 5: oh my gosh, Like it was like such a crazy thing.
- 7:28Speaker 5: So then I guess they cut to commercial and uh,
- 7:33Speaker 5: Jeff comes out and he's like asking the audience like
- 7:35Speaker 5: what just like he had no idea.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So then like they think on their feet so fast.
- 7:39Speaker 5: They come back and Jeff is like, you know, season
- 7:42Speaker 5: fifty in the hands of the fans, we're doing things differently.
- 7:45Speaker 5: So now we're going to show you fire because we
- 7:50Speaker 5: just spoiled it for you. So here we are watching,
- 7:52Speaker 5: you know, like the way they pivoted it was like
- 7:55Speaker 5: we're gonna we're going to tell you what happens before
- 7:59Speaker 5: it happens about it.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Yeah, changing it out this year, Yeah, I wonder if
- 8:03Speaker 6: they changed it for the West Coast broadcast or for
- 8:05Speaker 6: the Paramount plus Stream.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Well, I don't know.
- 8:08Speaker 4: People were like, I did. I think they fit, Like
- 8:10Speaker 4: I think they left all that in.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Wow, they must have, because there's no way you can
- 8:13Speaker 5: flip it around that fast. And then they started they
- 8:15Speaker 5: wove it in through the rest of the show like
- 8:17Speaker 5: making like poking fun of it. But what I found
- 8:20Speaker 5: interesting is like people were like, I can't believe Jeff Probes.
- 8:23Speaker 5: He's such a pro how did he make that big mistake?
- 8:25Speaker 5: And I'm like, that's not Jeff Probes. That's literally like
- 8:27Speaker 5: they had all the seats out for the jury, like those.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Are all segmented in blocks. Those are producers people.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Jeff's not watching the show back live. He's just worried
- 8:36Speaker 5: about the next thing he has to hit. That's like
- 8:39Speaker 5: a lot of people that had to fail to make
- 8:42Speaker 5: that happen, like a lot.
- 8:44Speaker 6: That's nuts.
- 8:46Speaker 2: So anyways, it was crazy.
- 8:49Speaker 5: It was like total maham and I feel so honored
- 8:51Speaker 5: that I was there to witness it.
- 8:52Speaker 3: It's iconic. It was iconic.
- 8:55Speaker 5: It was iconic. And then and then they revealed the winner.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Were you happy?
- 9:01Speaker 3: Were you happy with the winners?
- 9:03Speaker 6: So not really I'm scared right now, but you're going
- 9:07Speaker 6: to say a gender or something.
- 9:10Speaker 5: What was left? I'm happy with the winner. Oh with
- 9:12Speaker 5: what was left, yes, like it wouldn't have been my choice,
- 9:15Speaker 5: but with what was given to me in the finale.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I'm happy with who was given.
- 9:20Speaker 3: And not what. That's not giving anything away.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Season given?
- 9:30Speaker 5: Okay, well great, yeah, excellent season. I'm I also heard
- 9:33Speaker 5: that a scrubber, a big scrubber, is in season fifty one.
- 9:37Speaker 7: Alert.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yes, I don't know which one she is one hundred
- 9:42Speaker 5: percent yet, but I saw the trailer.
- 9:44Speaker 6: And I haven't.
- 9:44Speaker 5: I have a hunch.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah, that's crazy crazy, how exciting?
- 9:50Speaker 5: So exciting?
- 9:51Speaker 3: When does that begin?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Once a year they do?
- 9:56Speaker 3: Ye?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:58Speaker 6: What are they doing for fifty one? Because they got
- 9:59Speaker 6: to do something different, don't they?
- 10:01Speaker 3: No?
- 10:01Speaker 2: I think you mean, I think fifty one is going
- 10:03Speaker 2: to be new.
- 10:03Speaker 6: People understood, but they got to do a whole new
- 10:06Speaker 6: I guess it's the new era, another new era starting
- 10:08Speaker 6: because after fifty if.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Release something different.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it seemed similar, run of the mill Survivor. But
- 10:16Speaker 5: but I do think they're going to be bringing people
- 10:18Speaker 5: back more because I think people really enjoy seeing yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 5: other people come back.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but only if it's a it would they
- 10:26Speaker 3: bring people back from previous seasons with just random people
- 10:29Speaker 3: that are there for the first time that has happened before.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I really really that's a little advantage.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree, but it could be a disadvantage because
- 10:38Speaker 6: you're gonn want to get that person out because they
- 10:40Speaker 6: already know yes, correct.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's like, what's the point.
- 10:43Speaker 6: Yeah, I like seeing old players come back.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Did you ever do Survivor?
- 10:48Speaker 6: Mark, No, couldn't. It'd be terrible. I mean, it's fun
- 10:52Speaker 6: to think about, but in reality never Yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't mean that. I don't think I can.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I can't do kidding me, I.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Just don't have to see if anyone was still an
- 11:03Speaker 3: extra confidence today. See.
- 11:05Speaker 5: And I do feel like the new era Survivor is
- 11:07Speaker 5: a little bit like I'm like, people are wearing like
- 11:09Speaker 5: sports coats and stuff like back in the day. Like
- 11:12Speaker 5: back in the day it was brutal, like they had
- 11:15Speaker 5: bug bites all over then, like they.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Looked withered, weathered and withered.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Now I feel like it's a little less intense of
- 11:24Speaker 5: the surviving.
- 11:26Speaker 6: So do you see their legs every time they sit
- 11:28Speaker 6: for an interview, their legs are torn up.
- 11:30Speaker 2: The feet, the feet gets are really dark.
- 11:34Speaker 5: I'm like, why I can't handle it.
- 11:38Speaker 3: It's just showing that things are legit bad out there.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Yeah, but I have to say it was like such
- 11:42Speaker 5: a core life memory and uh, really really cool.
- 11:47Speaker 3: That's amazing. I mean, what a dream getting to go
- 11:50Speaker 3: to a live show of your live viewing of your
- 11:52Speaker 3: favorite show. Like my biggest loss is not getting to
- 11:55Speaker 3: go to a friends recording since they did that, but
- 11:59Speaker 3: you can say that you got to see one of
- 12:00Speaker 3: your favorite shows live.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'll be back if they do it the press.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Bad and she won't bring it her press bad. Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I wonder if they're gonna keep doing the finales live
- 12:09Speaker 5: from now on or if they were like.
- 12:12Speaker 3: That was a lot. Yeah, I don't know.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 12:15Speaker 5: But between that Off Campus and and Love Island coming
- 12:19Speaker 5: back next week, like I am Heaven, I.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Did start off Campus and the first two episode, like
- 12:28Speaker 3: I was, I was about to just never trust anyone
- 12:31Speaker 3: again with TV shows because I was like, it wasn't
- 12:34Speaker 3: so much that they were that bad. It wasn't the
- 12:36Speaker 3: worst show I've ever seen, but it was that it
- 12:39Speaker 3: was the hype that I was like, alright, is the
- 12:43Speaker 3: bar on the ground, like, what's happening? But it's gotten
- 12:45Speaker 3: so much better.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Have you finished?
- 12:47Speaker 3: No, I'm still on episode six. I haven't started it,
- 12:51Speaker 3: but that's where i'm starting, So.
- 12:53Speaker 2: So you still have six, seven, and eight.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if that's still thing.
- 12:58Speaker 4: I was gonna watch it because everyone's saying it's so good,
- 13:00Speaker 4: and then when I found out it was straight people,
- 13:02Speaker 4: I was.
- 13:05Speaker 3: So good. You said he did rivalry. Who's so? When
- 13:08Speaker 3: you said that on the podcast.
- 13:09Speaker 4: I was like, Oh, I thought it was hockey players
- 13:12Speaker 4: was hockey.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I think it's getting compared to it because it's hockey.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, I don't want to watch straight people over there.
- 13:19Speaker 3: So here's my my take on it. The well, first,
- 13:22Speaker 3: the music's amazing. I love the music. But you compared
- 13:25Speaker 3: it to a c W show, and the first two
- 13:28Speaker 3: episodes were giving ABC family like, So that's my take.
- 13:32Speaker 5: If you're have you respect, if you disrespect.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Have you started it yet? I would say the first
- 13:41Speaker 3: two episodes, you go in and you're getting introduced to it.
- 13:45Speaker 3: But then once episode three starts, things start picking up.
- 13:48Speaker 3: And I do understand the c W reference because there's
- 13:52Speaker 3: multiple guys that like this girl and they're all like
- 13:56Speaker 3: it is very c w in this s she's kind
- 13:59Speaker 3: of like the musical like artsy girl and these three like.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Hot guys are all pining never was me, and you're like,
- 14:09Speaker 5: never was me and you're always wish it was.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Which one is she gonna choose? Who am I supposed
- 14:14Speaker 3: to be rooting for? So I get that element of
- 14:16Speaker 3: like it, and I think the girl is so cute
- 14:18Speaker 3: And I never realized she was British in real life.
- 14:20Speaker 5: It's crazy when actress have accents like that. I'm like, blow,
- 14:23Speaker 5: that made me feel more impressed by her. Yeah, I
- 14:26Speaker 5: could be more and more impressed with.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Her, That's what I'm saying. Yeah, she I was already
- 14:30Speaker 3: like she's really cute and great actress, but then she
- 14:33Speaker 3: ampted up knowing that she has a British accent. Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 3: the guys are all very cute. I just can't really
- 14:39Speaker 3: tell what I'm who I'm supposed to Like, where are
- 14:42Speaker 3: my what direction am I supposed to be?
- 14:44Speaker 2: Plain and simple?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Paragram told me it's a two yerne adventure. She's like,
- 14:49Speaker 3: they're all cute, so and they're all seem like nice guys.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You can choose your own adventure unless something happens that
- 14:55Speaker 3: I'm not prepared for. No, nothing happens, but yeah, they
- 15:00Speaker 3: watch it but know that there's no gay gayness. Well
- 15:03Speaker 3: the there's a sister who's non binary, who is Jules
- 15:10Speaker 3: the blonde. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's no love story around them.
- 15:18Speaker 2: But Jules has no love story.
- 15:21Speaker 4: But they are people don't deserve love.
- 15:24Speaker 2: It's like Gossip Girl essentially.
- 15:25Speaker 3: They are. They are like the social media behind the
- 15:29Speaker 3: hockey team, the lore. Okay, yeah, there you go, Easton.
- 15:33Speaker 5: But if I may give one critique because I'm TV executive,
- 15:41Speaker 5: what I enjoy watching is like the pining, Like I
- 15:45Speaker 5: love the like the yearning, the like are they going
- 15:48Speaker 5: to get together? Are they not? Like is she going
- 15:51Speaker 5: to keep pushing him away? Is he going to keep
- 15:52Speaker 5: fighting for her? Like that's like I love that, And
- 15:55Speaker 5: I feel like we get to the goal pun intended
- 16:00Speaker 5: quite quickly, right, And I could have used like.
- 16:05Speaker 2: A full eight episodes of just the pining.
- 16:07Speaker 3: No, not even eight episodes, but I could have waited.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Till the very last episode of the season to see
- 16:13Speaker 5: they got together.
- 16:14Speaker 3: But That's why I'm curious if something exciting or a
- 16:17Speaker 3: shocking twist happened in the next few episodes because it
- 16:19Speaker 3: felt like there was a bliss so so soon.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I think I was like reading some of the things
- 16:25Speaker 5: that like she had to cut some of the episodes
- 16:28Speaker 5: down because like they don't give ten episode seasons right
- 16:32Speaker 5: off the bat. You prove your prove your groove.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I think she proved it.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I think she proved it too.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well you're you're not alone. And like I said,
- 16:39Speaker 3: I'm I'm gonna like I'm excited to finish it. So
- 16:42Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not like hate watching it at all.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Okay, for the first two episodes, I was like, oh
- 16:47Speaker 2: my gosh.
- 16:48Speaker 5: The first episode had me in a absolute chokehold.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And it's so funny.
- 16:55Speaker 5: So Robbie and I we watch all of our TV
- 16:57Speaker 5: shows like together, if we watch something separate after he
- 17:00Speaker 5: goes to sleep or whatever. This is the first time
- 17:02Speaker 5: that he's like kind of like he sits there and
- 17:05Speaker 5: like watches it. And his remarks were I was just like,
- 17:08Speaker 5: get out of here, Like I'll let.
- 17:10Speaker 2: You watch all the sports you want.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I don't talk trash on your hoops and your tall men,
- 17:15Speaker 5: so stay down.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Okay, what's his issue? What's he saying, I.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Mean there's a couple of scenes that are like.
- 17:22Speaker 4: They showed Dick in it, right, Yes, they do.
- 17:27Speaker 5: They do.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yet when lot of Dick, I've seen the.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Last episode, I think for like second to last episode,
- 17:33Speaker 5: not that I episode eight mini, but I'm not episode
- 17:44Speaker 5: seven or episode eight.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Well, everyone's very cute, and I do I do feel
- 17:49Speaker 3: like the acting and like I said, the music is great,
- 17:51Speaker 3: so I would rate it seven out of ten.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I give it a ten out of ten.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Yes, where does it ring? And in terms of barbecue
- 18:01Speaker 3: brawl so very different, I know, but like in terms
- 18:06Speaker 3: of like being last.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Night, oh my gosh, no spoilers the holidays, does.
- 18:14Speaker 3: You gotta step out? Uh reminder everyone, if you haven't already,
- 18:24Speaker 3: please go buy your Girls Like Girls tickets.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Literally, yeah, we're already on mine.
- 18:30Speaker 3: We got some sold out theaters already, so we got two.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Tickets by the skin of our teeth. This morning, I
- 18:38Speaker 5: went on at like I think it was nine am,
- 18:41Speaker 5: and we're like in one of the first three rows
- 18:43Speaker 5: because it was either like the first three or the
- 18:45Speaker 5: very last row.
- 18:47Speaker 3: That's interesting that you would choose the first three of
- 18:49Speaker 3: the last row.
- 18:49Speaker 2: We want to be as close as possible.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Energy. Yeah, of course, so yeah, go do that. There's
- 18:57Speaker 3: also so she did. This is the first time they've
- 18:59Speaker 3: done this, I think. But you can sign up to
- 19:01Speaker 3: get your own link, and then if depending on how
- 19:05Speaker 3: many tickets you sell, you can win prizes and merchants stuff,
- 19:09Speaker 3: So it's like your own affiliate link. So the winner
- 19:11Speaker 3: I think, I don't know if she's announced, but it's
- 19:13Speaker 3: a really good prize.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Okay, you probably shouldn't spill.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Easton Alan on Instagram if you want to buy your
- 19:19Speaker 4: girls like girls.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Tickets Atilly, So yeah, go do that. I loved our
- 19:27Speaker 3: episode with Haley. It was so cute.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Where's our dance?
- 19:30Speaker 3: I'm gonna post it today.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it's go liveing. Okay, So since it is Memorial
- 19:37Speaker 5: Day or well, it just passed, so we're past memorally,
- 19:40Speaker 5: so it's like officially summer. I think we should all
- 19:42Speaker 5: make our predictions because last summer we failed so bad.
- 19:45Speaker 2: What the Song of the Summer is gonna be?
- 19:47Speaker 3: This is my favorite thing that we do, and I
- 19:49Speaker 3: don't think anyone's ever gotten it.
- 19:51Speaker 5: So we take a quick break and we'll be right back.
- 20:11Speaker 3: We're back.
- 20:12Speaker 6: We're by.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Song of the Summer, where we thrive most here it's
- 20:18Speaker 3: scrubbing in finger on the pulse breaking.
- 20:24Speaker 5: I'm not having a very interesting choice, but I'm sticking
- 20:29Speaker 5: by it.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Okay, it's just we're picking one, right.
- 20:34Speaker 5: We're picking one.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Last year we did honorable mentions.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Still no one got it.
- 20:40Speaker 2: But correct, we did an honorable mention.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yes, we all had to, but that didn't help us
- 20:45Speaker 3: at all. Here's my question is are we it's hard
- 20:51Speaker 3: because there's so many album albums and music that's still
- 20:55Speaker 3: to come. That's very true within the next month or so.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Yes, so I understand.
- 21:03Speaker 5: No, Okay, we can revisit. How about you revisit a
- 21:06Speaker 5: fourth of July weekend.
- 21:09Speaker 3: If we need to switch it up, write that down.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Yeah, but the rule being, you can only add a
- 21:17Speaker 5: song that has been new since Memorial Day.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 21:21Speaker 2: This You can only choose a song.
- 21:24Speaker 5: If you want to replace the song you're choosing, you
- 21:26Speaker 5: can only replace it with a since then newer song.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Like if a banger comes out.
- 21:31Speaker 5: In like if you don't pick Harry Styles American Girls Today,
- 21:34Speaker 5: it's gone.
- 21:35Speaker 6: Wow, it's off the table. Ariana's coming to Olivia's going eligible.
- 21:40Speaker 5: Correct.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Mark understands, okay, and he would like to go first.
- 21:45Speaker 6: You are chomping at a bit. I think you should
- 21:47Speaker 6: go first.
- 21:48Speaker 2: So my first choice for Song of the Summer, I
- 21:52Speaker 2: thought it was only one.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Yeah, pending fourth of July alterations.
- 21:56Speaker 5: Will get an honorable mention. Okay, oh yeah, okay, So
- 21:59Speaker 5: my song is going to be bed on fire g flip.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Oh that's a good one though. It's having a moment
- 22:06Speaker 3: on Uh, it was on.
- 22:08Speaker 2: It's so happen.
- 22:10Speaker 5: It's super fun, it feels like summer. It makes me
- 22:15Speaker 5: want to jump around, it makes me feel like I
- 22:17Speaker 5: want to have a popsicle in the pool with the
- 22:21Speaker 5: espresso in my hand. Yes, So that is my choice
- 22:25Speaker 5: for Song of Summer twenty twenty six, with my honorable
- 22:29Speaker 5: mention going to American girls hairy styles.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Wouldn't that have happened by now? If it was going
- 22:34Speaker 6: to happen, I thank.
- 22:35Speaker 5: You Mark for your concern. I think it's going to
- 22:38Speaker 5: grow as he continues to tour.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I think it's going to grow as his hair grows back,
- 22:42Speaker 3: which it is growing back, and I'm enjoying the tour
- 22:44Speaker 3: videos more. Yeah. I'm here to say yeah, and I've
- 22:47Speaker 3: noted the comments really validate my feelings because they're like, Okay,
- 22:51Speaker 3: we're coming, he's coming back, he's heating up, he was
- 22:54Speaker 3: just a little rusty.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Yeah. So those are my that's my pick and my
- 23:00Speaker 5: honorable mention who wants to go second?
- 23:03Speaker 3: Okay, So just clarifying, I can only pick a song
- 23:05Speaker 3: that's currently out.
- 23:07Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, I mean you can't.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I've heard Haley's album, so I was gonna say, that's fine.
- 23:12Speaker 5: If you've heard it, that's fine. I'm just like, I
- 23:14Speaker 5: personally would have chosen Ariana Grande perhaps, but I haven't
- 23:17Speaker 5: heard it, so I just feel like I don't want
- 23:19Speaker 5: to speak too soon.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Okay. Mine is gonna be Die for You. It's Hailey
- 23:23Speaker 3: Kyoko featuring Young Miko. It's like makes you want to
- 23:27Speaker 3: be in a it's a very summary and it makes
- 23:30Speaker 3: you want to be like on a beach in Mexico. Okay,
- 23:33Speaker 3: and my honorable mention is going to be Orbiter by Noah.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Con That feels unlikely, so fat chance on that.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Fine, I'll go Midnight sun Zara Larson.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Oh why okay?
- 23:51Speaker 3: I love her? I love her?
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, thanks, Okay, So I think it's having a
- 24:04Speaker 4: moment right now, so I don't know if it's going
- 24:05Speaker 4: to sustain the momentum. But I really think I Choose
- 24:08Speaker 4: in Texas by La Langley can can take us through
- 24:11Speaker 4: those hot months at Mark Mark hates this song.
- 24:14Speaker 6: I'm offended by its existence.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah, Mark hates it.
- 24:17Speaker 6: What is it I heard all about? Oh my gosh,
- 24:20Speaker 6: it's so buzzy this Choose in Texas. Oh my gosh,
- 24:22Speaker 6: it's like crossing over to top Fortyes, so big. So
- 24:24Speaker 6: I'm going to give this a listen. There's never been
- 24:27Speaker 6: a more generic country song I've ever heard in my life.
- 24:29Speaker 6: So I don't understand what the appeal is. It's like
- 24:31Speaker 6: every other country song.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Not it is.
- 24:34Speaker 5: It's not you don't even listen to country, I know.
- 24:36Speaker 5: But every time I hear Choosing Texas, it makes me
- 24:38Speaker 5: want to like put on a cowboy hat, dig my
- 24:41Speaker 5: cowboys shoes.
- 24:42Speaker 6: In, and like that's what country music does.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Not Mark Mark isn't an Lfella clearly not a Langley.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Luke Brian has a song called fish Hunt Golf Drink,
- 24:53Speaker 4: and that, to me is more generic. I think Ella's
- 25:02Speaker 4: got it through the summer. I'm very impressed by what
- 25:04Speaker 4: she's accomplished.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good that's honestly a good, guess.
- 25:07Speaker 4: And I think in my honorable mention is good. Oh
- 25:12Speaker 4: a Lush Life by Zara Larson which came out in
- 25:14Speaker 4: twenty eighteen and is coming down.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Wow.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a Zara Larson summer. Yes, if she wants
- 25:19Speaker 3: it to be really.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Really does feel like it is between that and the
- 25:22Speaker 6: State Side. So I would say, first of all, I
- 25:25Speaker 6: think it's actually going to be whatever Olivia Rodrigo has
- 25:28Speaker 6: upper sleeve when this album comes out. But since I
- 25:31Speaker 6: have the big stuff that's already out, you drop Dead,
- 25:34Speaker 6: I don't think it's dropped dead. I drop dead is
- 25:36Speaker 6: already on its way down.
- 25:38Speaker 3: It's dead.
- 25:39Speaker 5: That's not good.
- 25:40Speaker 6: I think it has peaked, but it's coming down. That's
- 25:42Speaker 6: why she released a cure, because that's kind of how
- 25:44Speaker 6: you time it out. But I will say I do
- 25:48Speaker 6: like Homewrecker. I think home Wreckers.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Are really good honestly, so it's like one of my
- 25:52Speaker 5: favorite songs of all time.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Wow, well yeah it is.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Spoiler.
- 26:00Speaker 5: I guess.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I'm like of all time in a specific genre, just
- 26:06Speaker 3: like like.
- 26:07Speaker 5: All the time of my life. I think it is
- 26:10Speaker 5: so earwormy and like it's good.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Chorus is really good.
- 26:14Speaker 5: However, I feel like it's a little old and that's
- 26:15Speaker 5: how Midnight Sun as well. But I'm gonna not take
- 26:18Speaker 5: those away from you, guys.
- 26:19Speaker 6: I'm going to go home wrecker with an honorable mention
- 26:21Speaker 6: of Midnight Sun and saving olivera Drigo for our big
- 26:25Speaker 6: Fourth of July extravaganza.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Wow, I do think Olivia and Arianna are going to
- 26:31Speaker 3: give us some summer bops. I'm didn't get enough recognition
- 26:37Speaker 3: in my and from Ariana Grande. It's is gaving me
- 26:42Speaker 3: the title of it because I can just hear the chorus,
- 26:45Speaker 3: don't you don't No, no, no, it's from her. It's
- 26:48Speaker 3: from recently.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Of recent years.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Wait, I'm so upset. I can't. I can never remember.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It was very memorable.
- 26:58Speaker 3: No I can. It's not like I'm stand over you.
- 27:04Speaker 3: It's so bad the way you made Twilight Zone.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Oh my god, I definitely had I got a lot
- 27:11Speaker 2: of credit. No, it didn't.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I feel like I did not get the credit and deserved.
- 27:19Speaker 3: But I'm glad that. I'm just hoping for more songs
- 27:23Speaker 3: as such. I'm happy for.
- 27:28Speaker 5: Did not get its flowers, actually did, I'm really happy
- 27:32Speaker 5: that deserves them.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I'm sorry that I missed it. Okay, wait, this next
- 27:39Speaker 3: conversation is something that I feel very scene by or
- 27:47Speaker 3: called out for, okay, and it's it's something that millennials
- 27:51Speaker 3: apparently do. And I want to talk about it because
- 27:56Speaker 3: I felt very seen and also exposed. And we'll talk
- 28:01Speaker 3: about it when I come back.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Oh, I wanted to do something else. We get back, Well,
- 28:05Speaker 5: we can do back.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Okay, we're back.
- 28:23Speaker 5: I can't I'm not dogging. I can't hear it.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Oh my.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Oh still so confident too? So does does anyone in
- 28:33Speaker 3: this room add lol to.
- 28:35Speaker 5: The end of their messages or their tan of my texts?
- 28:38Speaker 4: Everyone?
- 28:39Speaker 3: It's apparently one of the biggest millennials stereotypes.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Fine by me, and.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I didn't know that, but I do it, and I
- 28:47Speaker 3: don't know why. Sometimes I add LOL and I'm reading
- 28:51Speaker 3: the message and I'm like, that wasn't an LOL message.
- 28:54Speaker 5: I think it shows people that you're engaged, that you're
- 28:56Speaker 5: laughing out loud with them, so you're.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Actually we got loud if you muse it, I have LOL. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 5: I think it's nice, and it like it turns it
- 29:08Speaker 5: to like a levity.
- 29:10Speaker 4: I think millennials misjudge text with no punctuation as being
- 29:14Speaker 4: negative or aggressive when they are not, and adding LOL
- 29:19Speaker 4: softens that, which in reality is like if you just
- 29:22Speaker 4: say yes with no punctuation, that's fine. But even me,
- 29:25Speaker 4: just thinking about that makes me, Oh, they're mad at me.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I always think Mark is mad at me.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Do you want to hear what the the traits are
- 29:34Speaker 3: for people who use lol at the end of their text.
- 29:36Speaker 3: According to doctor Dixon, who is a clinical sychologist, well,
- 29:42Speaker 3: she says, these are the traits of someone who adds LOL.
- 29:47Speaker 3: They they're worried about how they're perceived. They have anxiety,
- 29:51Speaker 3: they fear over sharing, they want to be understood. They're empathetic,
- 29:57Speaker 3: they value connection, they're sarcastic. I think mine is probably
- 30:02Speaker 3: most attributed to they worry about how they're perceived, because
- 30:06Speaker 3: I think that's what it is. I don't want to come.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Across as to direct or too negative to negative. If
- 30:13Speaker 5: I ever said like okay or yes or sure, what
- 30:17Speaker 5: about k, it's okay l O L so they know
- 30:22Speaker 5: it's like lights.
- 30:24Speaker 3: But if you're serious.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Exactly exactly, what about punctuating with an emoji instead of
- 30:33Speaker 4: L O L.
- 30:33Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 30:34Speaker 3: I hit them with both the emo and the lo
- 30:38Speaker 3: O L.
- 30:40Speaker 2: What the devious little one you are?
- 30:47Speaker 5: Can we do my thing now?
- 30:52Speaker 2: Talk L shifting gears.
- 30:56Speaker 6: But that is why I do that. That's why I
- 30:58Speaker 6: come off as cold on text because I don't do
- 31:00Speaker 6: the L O L. I don't do the emoji. I
- 31:02Speaker 6: just say what I want.
- 31:03Speaker 4: You are.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Like it could not use Antarctica like I have to
- 31:08Speaker 5: be like you good wash and Mark Lol.
- 31:11Speaker 6: That's why you come off as needy anxiety.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Actually needy was not on the list. Mark.
- 31:18Speaker 5: Yeah, but well I am a little needy, especially when
- 31:23Speaker 5: I'm on my period, which is now.
- 31:24Speaker 3: And what do you need from me right now?
- 31:26Speaker 2: I want us to do this?
- 31:28Speaker 9: Wow?
- 31:29Speaker 5: Okay, Trent, Okay, okay, okay, So I'll explain it to
- 31:34Speaker 5: the people who don't know, because I didn't know this
- 31:36Speaker 5: as of yesterday.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Jesus, is it old?
- 31:39Speaker 3: I mean, it's just it's just everywhere. Is it old?
- 31:43Speaker 3: I don't think it's old.
- 31:44Speaker 2: But like Robbie said, you and Ali did it, and
- 31:46Speaker 2: I was like, no, they did it.
- 31:47Speaker 3: We did on TikTok. You're trying to find your breaking news.
- 31:52Speaker 3: It's such a ginger cham. If you go to TikTok,
- 31:54Speaker 3: you'll find the Wow. Okay, trend quick.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Okay, So then do you want to explain it?
- 32:01Speaker 5: Since you've seen so many.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I feel I trust that you can do it.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Okay, So here's the trend.
- 32:06Speaker 5: You take the words wow okay, and you all have
- 32:11Speaker 5: to take turns and maybe since there's four of us,
- 32:13Speaker 5: each one can like win around. We can see who
- 32:15Speaker 5: wins each round okay, okay, so you do it in
- 32:18Speaker 5: a supportive tone, a disappointed tone, a sarcastic tone, and
- 32:21Speaker 5: a flirty tone. So whoever says it the best each
- 32:24Speaker 5: round wins is the judge, though it has to be unanimous.
- 32:28Speaker 3: Voute okay, So among you.
- 32:30Speaker 6: Can judge maybe Sam, she's also gen Z or something?
- 32:34Speaker 3: Okay, heavy?
- 32:35Speaker 5: Do you want to judge this competition? Do you have
- 32:38Speaker 5: communication with Mark so you can tell him who want?
- 32:41Speaker 6: Each has a microphone?
- 32:42Speaker 3: Is this working?
- 32:44Speaker 9: No?
- 32:44Speaker 5: I mean like on slacks so she can also like
- 32:46Speaker 5: just I guess you just go to ye. I can't
- 32:48Speaker 5: hear her because I'm wrong, I know, so sorry, Ivy,
- 32:53Speaker 5: I can't hear you. But okay, may the force be
- 32:55Speaker 5: with you.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Let's just never tell telling you if she wins?
- 32:58Speaker 6: Okay, no, come on.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Point two point to whoever wonts thank you, thank you.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Okay, so, uh let's do the supportive round.

- 37:10Speaker 2: Lip tear.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Okay. I feel like we should end the episode with
- 37:15Speaker 3: one deer Banya episode.
- 37:18Speaker 5: I just I realized Easton saw the Mandalorian this weekend,
- 37:21Speaker 5: and I just have to ask you, did you cry?
- 37:23Speaker 4: Did I cry?
- 37:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, that makes me feel so much better.
- 37:28Speaker 4: There's a little baby character when they're doing like that
- 37:32Speaker 4: chase in the like uh, and baby Yoda's in the
- 37:36Speaker 4: like stroller.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Is not Grogu Sorry I call him by his his
- 37:40Speaker 2: other name.
- 37:41Speaker 4: When Gregor's in the little stroller, it's like another little
- 37:43Speaker 4: baby that's like about to get hit and he's like
- 37:44Speaker 4: he looks like scared. For two seconds, that part made
- 37:46Speaker 4: me cry.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, there's this part you would cry.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I can't handle anything with so.
- 37:52Speaker 5: Grogu' is like the it's like the baby, he's like
- 37:54Speaker 5: the little Yoda and his master or I don't even.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Know who's what's his dad?
- 37:59Speaker 5: His dad?
- 37:59Speaker 4: Oh that's his dad the Mandalori. Yeah, their condom is
- 38:04Speaker 4: dad in that movie Rod of the is conom is dad?
- 38:07Speaker 5: That not doing well? And uh, Grogu like curls up
- 38:13Speaker 5: in his arm, and the way he curls up in
- 38:15Speaker 5: his arm is the way Sonny curls up into our arms.
- 38:17Speaker 5: And I just start sobbing in the middle of the theater.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't do all with this. Yeah.
- 38:23Speaker 5: Robbie and the kids were like, not a sad movie.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Why is she crying?
- 38:28Speaker 4: He's never in peril or anything. It's always a sweet moment.
- 38:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Well, I'm you enjoyed the movie aside from
- 38:36Speaker 3: the sadness heres that you felt and not knowing the storyline.
- 38:39Speaker 6: Apparently Star Wars.
- 38:43Speaker 3: I know she's really leaning into like mother step boy mom.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's what you have to do.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Like some of the movies I did want, Like some
- 38:53Speaker 5: of the movies, I do want.
- 38:54Speaker 2: To see some I have no interest in.
- 38:56Speaker 5: See. This was a zero. Yeah, this was really the
- 39:00Speaker 5: zero out of the ten. It fell asleep for the
- 39:02Speaker 5: first half, but once I woke up, I really enjoyed it.
- 39:08Speaker 4: I love It's getting some hate online. I loved the
- 39:11Speaker 4: Mandalorian and Grogu. I loved Job of the Hut. He's
- 39:14Speaker 4: my favorite Star Wars character. There's a lot of Hut
- 39:16Speaker 4: stuff in this movie, a lot of hut. Jeremy Allen White,
- 39:19Speaker 4: Oh my god. I went to this movie going I
- 39:20Speaker 4: want Jeremy Allen White's voice unmodulated. I want him speaking English.
- 39:24Speaker 4: He's the voice of job Is jacked son. Jaba has
- 39:27Speaker 4: a son who's like a wrestler's super buff. He's this
- 39:29Speaker 4: big slug. He's so gross. And they speak a different language.
- 39:32Speaker 4: They speak hut ease, And I'm like, I want Jeremian
- 39:35Speaker 4: White speaking English and I want to just and that's
- 39:37Speaker 4: exactly what we got.
- 39:38Speaker 6: Baby.
- 39:38Speaker 4: It's there's a giant voice.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Wasn't modulated. I feel it didn't sound like himself at all.
- 39:42Speaker 4: They put like a lower tone in there to make
- 39:45Speaker 4: it sound like his two throats, which I think they do.
- 39:47Speaker 4: And but other than that, he's just Jeremie al White going.
- 39:49Speaker 4: I don't want to be like my father.
- 39:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 5: I enjoyed it for the part you were conscious for.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Yeah, the part you were watching in a way.
- 39:59Speaker 2: You know what, it's fan only time we do dinner
- 40:01Speaker 2: in a movie. It's cute.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Yeah, good, reclimb the seat if I need to take
- 40:06Speaker 5: a old nap.
- 40:07Speaker 3: When it comes to Star Wars movies, I always encourage
- 40:10Speaker 3: Haley to find a friend who loves to watch Star
- 40:12Speaker 3: Wars and even come with them. I'm gonna send her
- 40:15Speaker 3: with please do the yeahd to Star Wars.
- 40:20Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 40:21Speaker 3: Okay, So I was thinking we could do the anonymous
- 40:24Speaker 3: Yeah that looks yeah, yeah juicy.
- 40:25Speaker 6: Hi Beckat on your market East and I love your podcast.
- 40:28Speaker 6: I listen every week. I want your advice. I can't
- 40:29Speaker 6: tell if I'm overreacting. My husband in a class with
- 40:32Speaker 6: a girl his freshman year of college. They studied together
- 40:35Speaker 6: one night in his dorm, they slept together. They stayed close,
- 40:38Speaker 6: casual friends, but never dated. Then he met me and
- 40:41Speaker 6: the rest is history. We've been married for close to
- 40:43Speaker 6: twenty years. Fast forward to today. My husband is the
- 40:47Speaker 6: principal at the school her kids attend. She's very involved,
- 40:51Speaker 6: so they see each other off and honestly, I don't
- 40:53Speaker 6: trust her vibes. She seems very comfortable around him, and
- 40:56Speaker 6: I can't help feeling jealous. My husband is great, there's
- 41:00Speaker 6: nothing there. They never even dated, but it still makes
- 41:03Speaker 6: me uncomfortable. And obviously he can't control where her kids
- 41:06Speaker 6: go to school or her level of involvement there. Am
- 41:09Speaker 6: I being weird and insecure? Would this bother you too?
- 41:14Speaker 3: Kind of both? Yeah?
- 41:17Speaker 5: My truth can be yeah true.
- 41:21Speaker 3: And that is the truth.
- 41:22Speaker 5: That is the truth.
- 41:24Speaker 3: I think that sometimes our insecurities can get the best
- 41:29Speaker 3: of us, and we make up a story that's not real.
- 41:33Speaker 3: And I also think she could be maybe a woman
- 41:35Speaker 3: who feels very comfortable and might come across as flirty
- 41:39Speaker 3: even if she's just being like kind and friendly, or
- 41:41Speaker 3: she might have bad intentions. I don't know this woman.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Yeah, well she left out whether this other woman. I mean.
- 41:47Speaker 5: That doesn't mean anything.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I mean it should, but yeah, I mean it doesn't.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Two people can still misbehave even if they're both married.
- 41:57Speaker 6: Yeah, but she'd be more I think she'd be more.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Secure if if she were married.
- 42:03Speaker 6: Yeah, you were more righteous in questioning her motives if
- 42:05Speaker 6: she were divorced or that sort of thing, right.
- 42:08Speaker 5: Which she didn't specifically put in here, So I led
- 42:10Speaker 5: to believe she is not single.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Right, I think that's true.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I don't think you're crazy. However, I do feel.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Like, and this is kind of I always I always
- 42:24Speaker 5: think like this because I trust Robbie with everything, Like
- 42:28Speaker 5: there's no question, Like I never question his loyalty. But
- 42:33Speaker 5: I'm sure people at some point in our lives are
- 42:35Speaker 5: going to flirt with him, do you know what I mean?
- 42:36Speaker 2: Like, it's just it is what it is.
- 42:38Speaker 5: You just have to trust your partner and just kind
- 42:41Speaker 5: of like hold I feel like, you've been married for
- 42:42Speaker 5: twenty years, your husband is obviously loyal. If he's giving
- 42:46Speaker 5: you reasons to question him, then maybe I would maybe
- 42:49Speaker 5: give it some sort of energy. But if he never has,
- 42:53Speaker 5: like I would just really try hard to just like
- 42:55Speaker 5: not even let this be anything.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say, you've it's seen like you've already
- 43:00Speaker 3: questioned him about it, and he's like, basically kind of
- 43:04Speaker 3: makes it seem like they it was never even their
- 43:07Speaker 3: hookup wasn't even a big deal. It's like a one
- 43:09Speaker 3: night thing. So I would say, it's like, you're not
- 43:12Speaker 3: a crazy person for having insecurities. We all are human
- 43:15Speaker 3: and having insecurities. I just want to I wouldn't let
- 43:18Speaker 3: it go so far that you act out on those
- 43:22Speaker 3: insecurities and trust that the man that you're married to
- 43:25Speaker 3: and have been married to for twenty years is trustworthy. Yeah,
- 43:30Speaker 3: and apparently knows where you stand on it if you've
- 43:35Speaker 3: brought it up, like he knows that it makes you
- 43:37Speaker 3: feel insecure. I'm assuming since you brought it up, So hopefully,
- 43:42Speaker 3: if if there's a situation where maybe he's being too
- 43:45Speaker 3: friendly back to her and you and it's something.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Right or like things are if their boundaries being crossed,
- 43:50Speaker 5: like this woman's like texting him instead of emailing.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Him, or what about kids or the school.
- 43:54Speaker 5: Yeah, like, obviously make sure that there's like boundaries, but
- 43:57Speaker 5: like you know, if this woman's flirting with him, there's
- 44:01Speaker 5: only so much you can do. You just have to
- 44:02Speaker 5: trust him.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but don't don't don't feel like you're being crazy
- 44:09Speaker 3: for having an insecurity and also don't act out of insecurity.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Yeah, we're here for you, yes anonymous, and also.
