- 0:09Speaker 1: explain well why size matters? Is the Northern Territory Major
- 0:13Speaker 1: events Corn Honey, good morning to you.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Good morning Katie.
- 0:17Speaker 1: How are you, Koran? I'm well mate, Explain to me
- 0:20Speaker 1: how does this new campaign work? And well why size
- 0:24Speaker 1: does matter in this case?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Yes, well, I'm I'm not sure if should be talking
- 0:28Speaker 3: about this, but size matters?
- 0:30Speaker 2: What does it mean?
- 0:31Speaker 3: So I suppose, in partnership with sports bit, for all
- 0:34Speaker 3: of December, if you catch one of our beloved tagged
- 0:38Speaker 3: barrow money during this period whatever I suppose, whatever it
- 0:43Speaker 3: measures and centimeters multiply five thousand and that's what you're getting.
- 0:46Speaker 3: So if you catch a seventy centimeter fish, you're going
- 0:50Speaker 3: to be collecting seventy k's with this.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Period, Koran.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Is this for everybody that catches one of those tag
- 0:56Speaker 1: fish or only.
- 0:56Speaker 3: For the biggest, just for the longest the space of
- 1:00Speaker 3: the period of December. So catch you fish, register it
- 1:03Speaker 3: straight away, because we will if there is a tie
- 1:05Speaker 3: for arguments take it will be on the first fish
- 1:07Speaker 3: that's caught, comes in, it all gets measured officially, gets
- 1:11Speaker 3: stored away as such in terms of that measurement. And
- 1:13Speaker 3: like I said, if you're fortunate enough to be getting
- 1:15Speaker 3: to the end of December and you've got the biggest
- 1:17Speaker 3: fish there, well, the longest fish, you'll be paid out
- 1:19Speaker 3: percent a minute.
- 1:20Speaker 1: This is awesome, Like I reckon, it's a fantastic thing
- 1:22Speaker 1: to do, and no doubt it's going to mean that
- 1:24Speaker 1: we've got even more people getting out there and wanting
- 1:26Speaker 1: to fish.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Well, this season's been the biggest by far and away ever.
- 1:31Speaker 3: You know, we've had sixteen fish court today, so one
- 1:33Speaker 3: hundred and seventy thousand already paid out, which is remarkable.
- 1:37Speaker 3: So thanks to Sports Better Partners for that. But more importantly,
- 1:40Speaker 3: you've got to be out there having a go, and
- 1:43Speaker 3: our numbers are up, the registrations are up, and what
- 1:45Speaker 3: we do know at the moment is once again for December,
- 1:48Speaker 3: you've got to have a line out in the water
- 1:49Speaker 3: to catch them.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So please register and get out there and do your best.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Now, what's the biggest catch so far? Just to set
- 1:56Speaker 1: a bit of a benchmark for fish ice.
- 1:58Speaker 3: First, first fish off the ranks, send the meters.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It was ninety centimeters yep.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So that would be ninety k payout.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Geez, that's good going.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Is a lovely start to twenty twelve.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be incredible? It'd be absolutely incredible. I think
- 2:11Speaker 1: people are going to go berserk for this. Are you
- 2:14Speaker 1: guys sort of just as keen to give the cash
- 2:15Speaker 1: away as what people are to win.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It, considering it's not our money. So yeah, absolutely, And
- 2:22Speaker 3: I said, we're just fortunate we've got a good, good
- 2:24Speaker 3: partner on board with sports Bet. So it's it's a
- 2:26Speaker 3: fantastic opportunity. You know that the season's been fantastic to date,
- 2:31Speaker 3: and you know, but there's nothing better for it. We
- 2:33Speaker 3: love this storm the year because we get people coming
- 2:35Speaker 3: to the office, we get the mirror of fish, heavy yarn,
- 2:38Speaker 3: and more importantly, there's some cash getting stacked in some
- 2:40Speaker 3: pockets leading into a pretty cool time of the year
- 2:43Speaker 3: being Christmas.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's sure is Hey, what are some of the key
- 2:45Speaker 1: spots where people have been, you know, catching those winning.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Fish across all of the I suppose the fishing regions
- 2:53Speaker 3: we've got fish out there, but to date we've seen
- 2:56Speaker 3: fish court down the Mary daily's going pretty.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Good at the moment as well.
- 3:00Speaker 3: You know, it's all across the territory in general, this
- 3:04Speaker 3: fish throughout the entire entire region.
- 3:06Speaker 2: So just get out there and have a crack.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So how many of the ten k fish have gone
- 3:11Speaker 1: so far?
- 3:11Speaker 2: Sixteen sixteen so far?
- 3:13Speaker 3: And we had one fish which was in another part
- 3:15Speaker 3: of another competition which was double the dough. So one
- 3:18Speaker 3: hundred and seventy k has already gone out the door.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Fantastic and so many how many of the ten k
- 3:23Speaker 1: fish we got out there?
- 3:24Speaker 3: There was one hundred in total so on my masts,
- 3:27Speaker 3: not that flash, but it will.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Be still plenty left over.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Eighty Just get the big one.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Isn't that good either? Now do you reckon? This season
- 3:37Speaker 1: has been one of the best.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It has by far and away. So it's been the
- 3:40Speaker 3: biggest start for the first couple of months. I think
- 3:42Speaker 3: we're seven or eight fish up on previous years today.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And I think it says a lot about this.
- 3:48Speaker 3: People are out there in a crack, you know, and
- 3:50Speaker 3: we're fortunate that people are catching them.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's great, good stuff. I mean, it's been a fantastic
- 3:55Speaker 1: season so far. We know that it's going to heat up.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I guess for one of a better word over this
- 4:00Speaker 1: Christmas break period as well, because probably people have a
- 4:02Speaker 1: little bit more time on their hands if they get
- 4:04Speaker 1: a bit of time off work to get out there
- 4:06Speaker 1: and get amongst it.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah, we see it like it's like everyone we're all
- 4:09Speaker 3: keen for a bit of a break as well. But
- 4:12Speaker 3: you know, I've got it. Enjoys me coming in from
- 4:15Speaker 3: a holiday to see someone and verifirefish and you.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Know, put like I said, put some money in someone's pocket. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 2: Australia's richest fish and competition. It's we're so lucky.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it is fantastic made. It's been a massive year
- 4:26Speaker 1: for NT major events, hasn't it? Do you guys? Do
- 4:29Speaker 1: you get to wind down at all towards the end
- 4:31Speaker 1: of the year or not?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Really we do a little bit, to be honest, but
- 4:35Speaker 3: it's been awesome. Like our six main events this year,
- 4:37Speaker 3: we've head over one hundred and thirty five thousand people
- 4:39Speaker 3: through over seventy sorry, over seventy five thousand people through,
- 4:43Speaker 3: driving about one hundred and thirty five million of economic impacts.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So we clean those events up now, to be honest,
- 4:48Speaker 3: and we reset and push really hard. So based in
- 4:51Speaker 3: the grasses, in the market, Supercars NRL. All of those
- 4:54Speaker 3: events are selling nicely, so you know, we prep for
- 4:57Speaker 3: them now and we move forward for twenty twenty three.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It will be a massive year, no doubt next year,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and it's always plenty of fun, always wonderful to catch
- 5:05Speaker 1: up with you guys and hear more about the fantastic
- 5:07Speaker 1: things that NTA major events have got underway each and
- 5:11Speaker 1: every time.
- 5:11Speaker 2: As you're talking to you and working for everyone, it's awesome.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Thank you, good on you.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Thanks Car
