- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 0:04Speaker 2: R.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Well, Hey, a beautiful day to day. It's gonna be well,
- 0:11Speaker 3: it's gonna be very hot ninety tomorrow, ninety on Saturday,
- 0:15Speaker 3: but bright sunshine. It's like summer. It changes on Sunday,
- 0:18Speaker 3: gets a little cooler, and there there might be rain.
- 0:21Speaker 3: We'll get to Scott Pelley in a moment. A couple
- 0:24Speaker 3: of things going on. Todd blanche the acting attorney general.
- 0:29Speaker 3: President Trump has nominated him to be the attorney general.
- 0:35Speaker 3: They'll try to Democrats in Congress will try to stop him.
- 0:38Speaker 3: They'll yell about Epstein and all kinds of things. Yeah,
- 0:41Speaker 3: and the other thing. If you're Democrat and you watch
- 0:44Speaker 3: MSNBC or CNN, all they'll be telling you all day.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I watched him do it this morning. President Trump has
- 0:51Speaker 3: nominated Todd his personal lawyer. This is a horrible, unheard
- 0:56Speaker 3: of to nominate your personal lawyer to be the attorney general. Well,
- 1:02Speaker 3: they're just lying to you. It's happened many times. Remember
- 1:06Speaker 3: John Mitchell was the attorney general. He had been Nixon's
- 1:08Speaker 3: personal lawyer. Ed Meese was the attorney general under Reagan.
- 1:11Speaker 3: He had been Reagan's personal lawyer. It happens a lot.
- 1:15Speaker 3: It's not unusual. Don't listen to these people. Hey, John F.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Kennedy appointed his brother attorney general, who'd not only been
- 1:24Speaker 3: his personal lawyer, he'd been his campaign manager. He'd been there.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It's perfectly normal. Happens all the time. Now, this guy
- 1:30Speaker 3: that I always forget his name, the guy that Trump
- 1:33Speaker 3: has nominated for DNI Director of National Intelligence, doesn't seem
- 1:37Speaker 3: to be qualified. Everybody's got problems with this guy. But
- 1:41Speaker 3: you got to remember he has not nominated him to
- 1:44Speaker 3: be the Director of National Intelligence, Bill Poltz. He has
- 1:47Speaker 3: thrown him in there as the acting DNI, acting. He
- 1:54Speaker 3: is not nominating him for the job. Now, this happened
- 1:58Speaker 3: once before, and I can't remember the names, but a
- 2:00Speaker 3: long time ago, in the first Trump term, he just
- 2:03Speaker 3: threw somebody in there is acting for a couple of
- 2:06Speaker 3: months until he found who he wanted, which was John Ratcliffe.
- 2:10Speaker 3: And Ratcliffe was a great choice. So you'll see the
- 2:13Speaker 3: same thing here. This guy's just temporary. He's not going
- 2:16Speaker 3: to be the nominee. Yeah. Oh, I wanted to mention Ukraine.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Good for them, Ukraine is but you know when Russia
- 2:27Speaker 3: invaded Ukraine, you figured, ouh, that's it for Ukraine be
- 2:32Speaker 3: wiped out in two months. Well it's about six years
- 2:34Speaker 3: later and they're doing just fine. In fact, if you
- 2:37Speaker 3: had to score this on points, Ukraine wins at this point.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Now they've gotten really good. Instead of just coming over
- 2:45Speaker 3: here crying and begging for our weapons, they've gotten really
- 2:48Speaker 3: good at making their own weapons. They've been using drones
- 2:51Speaker 3: more than ever. And they not only used drones, they
- 2:54Speaker 3: figured out how to make drones. They built massive drone
- 2:58Speaker 3: factories in the Ukrain they're making all their own drones.
- 3:02Speaker 3: They've become so effective with drones. In fact, when it
- 3:05Speaker 3: comes to going to war in Iran or something, we
- 3:07Speaker 3: might be able to learn something from Ukraine about what
- 3:10Speaker 3: they've been doing drone wise. Now Putin is about to
- 3:16Speaker 3: go to his big economic forum. It's his version of Davos.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It's this very ritzy annual economic forum. They hold it
- 3:24Speaker 3: in Saint Petersburg. It's the Saint Petersburg International and Economic Forum.
- 3:30Speaker 3: It's going to be held this week. Well, right before
- 3:32Speaker 3: it opens, Ukraine strikes Saint Petersburg with the drones. They
- 3:38Speaker 3: got a big fuel export depot there, big fuel hub,
- 3:44Speaker 3: very important to Putin. Ukraine wiped it out in a
- 3:47Speaker 3: drone blitz at the beginning of the week, just wiped
- 3:50Speaker 3: out that fuel hub right before he's about to start
- 3:53Speaker 3: this economic forum. Good for Ukraine. Ukraine blew it all up.
- 4:00Speaker 3: In fact, if you go to the Economic Forum, you'll
- 4:02Speaker 3: notice thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Long range
- 4:07Speaker 3: drones slammed into that oil terminal and completely wiped it out.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Pretty amazing. Hey, we're talking about oh one more thing,
- 4:17Speaker 3: John Bolton. You remember John Bolton got indicted. He had
- 4:21Speaker 3: stolen classified documents. They found out he had lots of
- 4:24Speaker 3: classified documents. He had absolutely no authorization to take them,
- 4:30Speaker 3: and he was indicted. A while back, he was arrested.
- 4:35Speaker 3: He was indicted and said, well, it's this is a
- 4:38Speaker 3: frame job. It's Trump out to get people. He's frame Well,
- 4:43Speaker 3: not only was he not framing him. Yesterday Bolton pled guilty.
- 4:48Speaker 3: He pled guilty. They made a deal. He won't go
- 4:50Speaker 3: to prison, he'll pay a two million dollar fine, but
- 4:53Speaker 3: he's guilty. He admitted to being guilty. He pled guilty.
- 4:55Speaker 3: He was guilty. Remember Bolton, he's that guy with the
- 4:58Speaker 3: big Walrus mustard. He's a guy who for a thousand
- 5:04Speaker 3: years was screaming we have to go blow up Iran.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We have to.
- 5:07Speaker 3: You know, he was a real hawk, a real war guy,
- 5:11Speaker 3: real warhawk. I have to blow up a Ran, blow
- 5:13Speaker 3: up a in now. Trump did hire him in the
- 5:15Speaker 3: first term. But Trump can't stand to me either and
- 5:18Speaker 3: knows he's a nutjob. But Trump hired him just to
- 5:22Speaker 3: be in the pictures in the room to scare Iran
- 5:25Speaker 3: in other countries because they were afraid of Bolton because
- 5:28Speaker 3: he was such a hawk and he was ready to
- 5:29Speaker 3: blow him all up. So Trump didn't want have to
- 5:32Speaker 3: do that back then, So he's hired Bolton to make
- 5:34Speaker 3: it look like there's something bad could happen, just to
- 5:37Speaker 3: intimidate them. He had Bolton sitting there. But Bolton's a bad,
- 5:42Speaker 3: bad guy, and he did steal classified documents, as did
- 5:46Speaker 3: Joe Biden. He was caught with seven thousand stolen classified
- 5:50Speaker 3: documents in his house when he took them he was
- 5:53Speaker 3: a senator, no authority to take them. The others he
- 5:57Speaker 3: took when he was vice president and his vice presid
- 6:00Speaker 3: you have no authority to take them. Trump, who did
- 6:03Speaker 3: not have classified documents in mar Lago, They really found nothing.
- 6:06Speaker 3: They found thirty five sort of classified if you put
- 6:11Speaker 3: them in a folder, it's one inch of one box
- 6:13Speaker 3: that was even considered classified documents. But they're not classified
- 6:17Speaker 3: because Trump, as president, has the authority to take the documents.
- 6:23Speaker 3: He's the one that's classifying them. He's the President's up
- 6:26Speaker 3: to him what's classified, and he could unclassify anything at
- 6:29Speaker 3: any time. So if that had gone to a real court,
- 6:32Speaker 3: all of that would have come out. Same thing happened
- 6:33Speaker 3: to Bill Clinton when he was caught with classified documents.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It went into a real court and he pointed out,
- 6:38Speaker 3: I'm the president and I unclassified them. He has every
- 6:41Speaker 3: right to do that, and Clinton won the case in court,
- 6:44Speaker 3: as Trump would have. So, Hey, CBS, Scott Pelley, despite
- 6:51Speaker 3: his sanctimonious nonsense, was a fake news guy. He ran
- 6:55Speaker 3: lots and lots and lots of fake news and CBS,
- 6:58Speaker 3: unfortunately sixteen Minutes went all to hell about ten years
- 7:02Speaker 3: ago and became I guess because of Trump. They went
- 7:04Speaker 3: crazy because of Trump, and they became a fake news
- 7:07Speaker 3: organization and they were running lots of fake news. It
- 7:11Speaker 3: was really really ugly fake news. They made up that
- 7:15Speaker 3: whole fake Ron Desanta scandal that didn't exist. He could
- 7:19Speaker 3: have explained it in one second. They wouldn't let him
- 7:21Speaker 3: on the air to explain it. They wouldn't include him
- 7:23Speaker 3: in the piece. They lied about Hunter Biden's laptop laptop,
- 7:28Speaker 3: they lied about Trump and the wire tap. They said
- 7:33Speaker 3: he wasn't wire tapped in Trump Tower. Of course he was,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and it was proven. Remember they doctored up the Kamala
- 7:41Speaker 3: Harris interview right before the election. When asked about Israel,
- 7:45Speaker 3: she couldn't answer and she mumbled out some ridiculous word
- 7:49Speaker 3: solid answer. Well, they cut it out and they stuck
- 7:51Speaker 3: in a good answer that they found from some other
- 7:54Speaker 3: interview and for another question. So they doctored up the interview.
- 7:58Speaker 3: They doctored up interviews with Biden to make him look coherent.
- 8:01Speaker 3: You can see it when you watch it as he's talking,
- 8:03Speaker 3: all of a sudden, you can see there's edits because
- 8:05Speaker 3: he lost his place and didn't know what he was saying.
- 8:07Speaker 3: They cut all that out. So it's just total fake news. Now,
- 8:10Speaker 3: when did CBS go really bad? It was really dan
- 8:13Speaker 3: Rather If you go back to the great Kronkite era,
- 8:18Speaker 3: they were always a little kind of left wing guys working.
- 8:20Speaker 3: They were always Democrats and sometimes there was a little slant.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I mean sometimes they just put in a certain adjective
- 8:27Speaker 3: or something. But when Rather came in, it was total corruption.
- 8:32Speaker 3: They went total fake news. Remember it began when Bush senior,
- 8:38Speaker 3: George H. W. Bush was running for reelection and it
- 8:41Speaker 3: was getting close to the election and he and Clinton, well,
- 8:44Speaker 3: it was very close, so they were trying to hurt Bush.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So Rather decided they would open the Evening News every
- 8:50Speaker 3: night with a special feature called Economy in Crisis and
- 8:56Speaker 3: this dramatic music. Every night they'd opened the CBS Evening
- 8:59Speaker 3: News are special feature Economy in Crisis. It wasn't in crisis,
- 9:03Speaker 3: but they did this every night, five nights a week.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Every broadcast they'd give you the headlines the day and
- 9:09Speaker 3: also coming up our special feature Economy in Crisis. All
- 9:15Speaker 3: of a sudden, the election happens, Clinton wins. That night,
- 9:18Speaker 3: the features gone, there's no Economy in crisis. They dropped
- 9:21Speaker 3: it that night and it was just total fake news.
- 9:24Speaker 3: And uh, you remember the famous confrontation. George HW. Bush
- 9:29Speaker 3: goes live on the CBS Evening News with Rather and
- 9:33Speaker 3: Rather it's just mister fake news trying to punch and
- 9:36Speaker 3: beat up Bush. Although Bush fought back, In fact, Bush
- 9:39Speaker 3: fought back so strongly that a lot of people think
- 9:42Speaker 3: that's what turned it for him. That was the first
- 9:44Speaker 3: time he ran and helped get him elected. But it
- 9:47Speaker 3: was rather that changed everything. You could do whatever you want,
- 9:51Speaker 3: You could make up stuff, you could lie. It was
- 9:54Speaker 3: rather than push that whole fake story that George W.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Bush had gone a wall, which he did no truth
- 10:01Speaker 3: to that, and to prove it he used a forged
- 10:04Speaker 3: fake document, total fake document. He got caught with a fake,
- 10:10Speaker 3: forged document supposedly from some superior officer about Bush going
- 10:16Speaker 3: a wall, and he actually ran this work got him fired.
- 10:21Speaker 3: When they investigated, they realized he faked this document. And
- 10:25Speaker 3: when he got caught, he found some secretary or something
- 10:30Speaker 3: from that National Guard office to say, well, it may
- 10:34Speaker 3: have been fake, but I think that's what he would
- 10:36Speaker 3: have written, and he put her on the air. He
- 10:40Speaker 3: used that as evidence, but he wouldn't put on the
- 10:43Speaker 3: air the guy's wife. The guy's wife had said to him,
- 10:47Speaker 3: I know him better than anybody. He loved George W.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Bush.
- 10:50Speaker 3: He was very impressed with him. He never went a wall.
- 10:52Speaker 3: In fact, he said, George W. Bush is one of
- 10:54Speaker 3: the best guys he's got in the Guard one of
- 10:56Speaker 3: the best pilots he's ever had. Rather refused to put
- 10:59Speaker 3: that on the air. That's when it changed, and Rather
- 11:02Speaker 3: began that era of total fake news. Recruited some of
- 11:05Speaker 3: the worst people in the world. He was running pretty
- 11:07Speaker 3: much running the CBS News and that leads to sixty
- 11:11Speaker 3: Minutes going corrupt and Scott Pelley and expect Leslie Stall
- 11:16Speaker 3: to be gone pretty soon. Hey, she's eighty five. It's
- 11:18Speaker 3: enough eighty five years old. Expect her to be gone
- 11:22Speaker 3: at some point. So I read to the Pelly statement.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Here Variety, you know, a Variety, the show business magazine,
- 11:30Speaker 3: very slanted, left wing. Here's the headline, CBS News gutted
- 11:35Speaker 3: sixty minutes on air, Team, Can the show really go on? Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 3: it'll be on this Sunday, it beyond every Sundays, gonna
- 11:45Speaker 3: be just what kind of really go on? Of course
- 11:47Speaker 3: it can go on. You can do it without fake news.
- 11:50Speaker 3: It is possible. Here's a guy who's in the media world,
- 11:57Speaker 3: broadcasting guy. He's not in the news business, in the entertainment.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I don't want to say who it is, friend of mine.
- 12:04Speaker 3: This is on his Facebook, he writes, two hundred and
- 12:08Speaker 3: fifty years of a free press was nice, but with
- 12:12Speaker 3: Ellison his owner, the party's over. Yeah, we have no
- 12:14Speaker 3: more free press. These people believe this stuff. They get
- 12:18Speaker 3: themselves all worked up. He writes. It was another backroom
- 12:22Speaker 3: deal among the cabal of billionaires, and those with their
- 12:25Speaker 3: eyes on the ball could see it playing out, along
- 12:28Speaker 3: with the Colbert thing, the continuing attacks against Disney, the
- 12:32Speaker 3: attempt to silence Kimmel. Next stop unless somebody jumps in,
- 12:36Speaker 3: Allison will be owning Warner Brothers and CNN. And as
- 12:40Speaker 3: for you and the Maga crowd, assuming you can assimilate
- 12:43Speaker 3: all these words, they convince themselves that anybody for Trump
- 12:47Speaker 3: is uneducated, dumb, can't talk, can't think. Before you post
- 12:51Speaker 3: an opinion, you consider the facts that over half a century,
- 12:55Speaker 3: sixty Minutes was the top rated show of all programs
- 12:59Speaker 3: on TV. Yeah that's true. Yeah, sixty million, eighty million
- 13:04Speaker 3: people will watch it. Well, now it's four million, So
- 13:08Speaker 3: it's a bit of a difference. You know, when you've
- 13:09Speaker 3: got sixty million people watching, you can charge this much
- 13:13Speaker 3: for the commercials. When you got four million, you can
- 13:16Speaker 3: charge eh, maybe this much. That's it. And the ratings
- 13:19Speaker 3: are down ninety percent. I don't know anything anywhere and
- 13:24Speaker 3: broadcasting where you could have your ratings down ninety percent
- 13:27Speaker 3: over ten years and not have management make some changes.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I have never heard of that in the history of broadcasting.
- 13:36Speaker 3: So you realize how nobody in the world has ever
- 13:39Speaker 3: taken themselves as seriously as Scott Pelly. Boy does he
- 13:43Speaker 3: take himself seriously? And remember that Jim Acosta, who they
- 13:47Speaker 3: threw the hell out of CNN, talk about taking yourself seriously.
- 13:51Speaker 3: You make no mistake. They don't care about the ratings,
- 13:53Speaker 3: they don't care about making money. This is an ideological
- 13:56Speaker 3: and partisan political project on the part of the Ellisons,
- 14:00Speaker 3: the Trump friendly Ellisons who now control Paramount, who, by
- 14:03Speaker 3: the way, are trying to take control of WBD and
- 14:06Speaker 3: CNN and turn it into this giant media conglomerate that
- 14:11Speaker 3: will essentially act like a state media organization in support
- 14:15Speaker 3: of Donald Trump. Yeah, first of all, as we said,
- 14:18Speaker 3: the new owner, David Ellison is not a political guy.
- 14:20Speaker 3: He's not a Republican, he's not anything. He's no interest
- 14:22Speaker 3: in politics. His father's Larry Ellison. He is I don't
- 14:26Speaker 3: know if he's a Republican, but he is friends with
- 14:28Speaker 3: the president. But and Barry Weiss is a Democrat, not
- 14:32Speaker 3: a Trump supporter. She's a Democrat, but a normal common
- 14:36Speaker 3: sense Bill Clinton sort of a Democrat. Hey, we'll take
- 14:40Speaker 3: some calls next. Jimmy Faylor will be with us in
- 14:42Speaker 3: a few minutes. We'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 14:45Speaker 3: three two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 14:48Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten. Welcome back to
- 14:53Speaker 3: the Mark Simone Show.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Live from the WR Life Back studio.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:03Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Ron
- 15:06Speaker 3: and Pittsburgh. Ron, how you doing, Hey.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Mark, Hey, good morning to you. Hey, thank you for
- 15:14Speaker 5: letting me introduce and nots to Jimmy Call. He's gonna
- 15:17Speaker 5: be coming on your show. I listened to this guy.
- 15:19Speaker 5: He explains everything said dagone. Good. I like how we
- 15:22Speaker 5: always these these hypocrite democrats, how they always say something
- 15:27Speaker 5: now and he'll say what they said a couple of
- 15:29Speaker 5: years ago, play what they say now? They flipped like
- 15:32Speaker 5: a fish.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Well, he's great, He's gonna be on a few minutes.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I know, when was the last time you heard anybody say
- 15:37Speaker 3: the word dag gone? Say that again?
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry, No, it's good.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I like that. It's very good.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Very I'm old dude.
- 15:43Speaker 3: No, it's a good words. I thought I was watching it.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Last time I heard that word was a gun smoke episode.
- 15:48Speaker 5: But hey, yeah, I like gun smoking. Many people hypocrites,
- 15:53Speaker 5: I mean big time.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Hypocrites, democrats, hypocrites.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 15:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you're gonna you're gonna vote for a guy and
- 15:58Speaker 5: has a Nazi a thing on his chest and you
- 16:01Speaker 5: get on peace headss. We're across and you know, I
- 16:04Speaker 5: just I just they just they blow my mind.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Who was that talking back there?
- 16:09Speaker 5: That's my wife, She's my patriot.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Yeah, never stops talking right now, you don't have to answer.
- 16:19Speaker 3: The witness may step down now.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Thank you in trouble.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Thanks for going. Let's go to uh Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 16:25Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 16:27Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 16:30Speaker 6: I get a kick out of these liberals who are
- 16:32Speaker 6: now defending companies like Disney, who, not that long ago,
- 16:36Speaker 6: was the evil empire to them because of their wholesome,
- 16:39Speaker 6: homespun product that they put out. Now all of a sudden,
- 16:43Speaker 6: they're the endangered species. And they also act as if
- 16:47Speaker 6: you know, sixty minutes or Scott Pelley or any of
- 16:49Speaker 6: these shows that the first show is ever in the
- 16:51Speaker 6: history of television to get canceled. It's you know, they
- 16:54Speaker 6: canceled the Caesar Show. They canceled you know, you know
- 16:58Speaker 6: millions of shows.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Still upset laughing, got canceled.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Right exactly, what's my line?
- 17:08Speaker 1: You name it?
- 17:08Speaker 6: All these classic shows leave it to Beeber got canceled.
- 17:12Speaker 6: You know they all like exactly, they're all martyrs.
- 17:14Speaker 5: Well, okay, which is nothing.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Nothing's canceled sixteen minutes has five hundred different correspondents through
- 17:19Speaker 3: the years. They're just changing a couple exactly exactly.
- 17:23Speaker 6: And I wish Trump was as powerful as they portray
- 17:25Speaker 6: him to be, you know, I wish he was that powerful.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, good point, Mike, thanks for calling. Listen.
- 17:32Speaker 3: They're gonna get rid of Scott Pelly, they'll probably get
- 17:34Speaker 3: rid of what's her name, Leslie Stallt. They'll put in
- 17:37Speaker 3: somebody else. It doesn't matter. This is not as bad
- 17:40Speaker 3: as when they switched Darren on Bewitch. That was more upsetting.
- 17:45Speaker 3: That was that was traumatic. This is different. Let's go
- 17:48Speaker 3: to Kevin in uh Mystic, where's that mystic Connecticut?
- 17:53Speaker 4: Oh?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Yes, very beautifully got that new De Lamar hotel there,
- 17:56Speaker 3: don't you.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah, indeed next to the seaport.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and a beautiful place.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you have a great show.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Mark.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Hey, I was wondering about sixty minutes. I haven't watched
- 18:10Speaker 2: the show much, but have they done any stories on
- 18:15Speaker 2: all the corruption in Minnesota with the fraud?
- 18:20Speaker 3: Excellent point. You know, they're so sanctimonious. They act like
- 18:23Speaker 3: they're the greatest under uncovering every they're the worst that
- 18:27Speaker 3: they got a billion zillion trillion dollar budget. They didn't
- 18:31Speaker 3: uncover any of that fraud. This kid, Nick Shirley, a
- 18:34Speaker 3: dollar fifty in his own iPhone, discovered it all. You're right,
- 18:37Speaker 3: where was sixty minutes on that?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Good? Well?
- 18:40Speaker 2: I hope they they continue their good work tracking down
- 18:45Speaker 2: all this fraud across America.
- 18:46Speaker 3: No, you will, good point. Thanks for calling Kevin. Yeah,
- 18:49Speaker 3: Barry Weiss, if you're listening, get rid of everybody. At
- 18:54Speaker 3: sixteen minutes, just hire Nick Shirley. He'll he's done amazing
- 18:58Speaker 3: work uncovering fraud everyone where. Let's go to Bob in Connecticut. Bob,
- 19:02Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 19:04Speaker 7: Ah? Mark? Yeah, by the way, it's Corrupticut. It's not Connecticut.
- 19:08Speaker 7: They changed the.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Name, well parts of it. Parts of it are corrupt.
- 19:11Speaker 3: You got Waterberry, you got the Bridgeport, you got heart
- 19:16Speaker 3: for How many of those mayors have gone to jail,
- 19:18Speaker 3: a whole bunch of.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Them, Yeah, and a bunch of police have gone Well, actually.
- 19:23Speaker 3: You've had a couple of governors go to jail, right, yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 7: Yeah, so it's Corrupticut. But anyway, I got a question
- 19:29Speaker 7: for you because on your news blurb it said this
- 19:32Speaker 7: basketball tournament is going to produce jobs in New York
- 19:36Speaker 7: And how long does this tournament take? Like two weeks?
- 19:41Speaker 3: Well, first of all, it's not a news blurb, it's
- 19:45Speaker 3: a newscast. You go down the hall there and you
- 19:48Speaker 3: make a right, there's an enormous newsroom, a correspondence and right,
- 19:53Speaker 3: and the one doing it here right, that was Daria
- 19:55Speaker 3: Albinger is one of the great network correspondents for years.
- 20:00Speaker 3: You see news right.
- 20:02Speaker 7: Anyway, blurb on the newscast, Yes, who's going to create jobs?
- 20:07Speaker 7: And if it's three weeks that it goes, the only
- 20:11Speaker 7: jobs I could envision being created are hookers, muggers, and pickpockets.
- 20:17Speaker 7: And then when they have the money from doing that,
- 20:19Speaker 7: they can buy from the drug dealers. Increase their job.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Where are you in Connecticut, Trumble? Yeah, see, that's why
- 20:27Speaker 3: Trumble's a beautiful place. I like Trumble. But you're like
- 20:32Speaker 3: when you come into New York, you're like on a truck,
- 20:34Speaker 3: like the Beverly Hillbillies kind of deal. You're New York
- 20:38Speaker 3: to here is a scary place. It's not so bad.
- 20:41Speaker 7: No, I don't go to New York.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, oh, you wouldn't even go. It's not bad
- 20:44Speaker 3: at all. It's look out the window. People are walking around.
- 20:47Speaker 3: It's fine. It's beautiful out there.
- 20:49Speaker 7: Uh yeah, and they're looking around.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Nobody's looking around. We're in Midtown Manhattan, perfectly safe here.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Nothing happens here, right.
- 20:58Speaker 7: So what jobs do they say they're going to create?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Well, these a lot of these people coming in buying
- 21:04Speaker 3: these two. Are you talking about the World Cup or
- 21:05Speaker 3: the Knicks? The Knicks, Well, the Knicks, it's only two
- 21:10Speaker 3: or three games. I think I think they were talking
- 21:11Speaker 3: about the World Cup. That's a bunch of games. But
- 21:14Speaker 3: people come from all over the world and they spend
- 21:16Speaker 3: a ton of money. So if you're a restaurant, if
- 21:19Speaker 3: you're a store, if you're something, you got to go.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Even a hotel you got to go out and hire
- 21:22Speaker 3: extra people for those few weeks. It creates jobs.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Yeah, but for a few weeks, what does that really do?
- 21:30Speaker 3: Well, it's better than nothing.
- 21:33Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, all right.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Calm down, calm down, take it all right. Well, anyway,
- 21:40Speaker 3: it's going to be uh when does the Knicks come
- 21:41Speaker 3: to New York Monday? The game is Monday night, Madison
- 21:44Speaker 3: Square Garden. The President will now also remember if he
- 21:48Speaker 3: comes to this game, God bless them, but they're going
- 21:52Speaker 3: to close all the streets. It's going to be a
- 21:54Speaker 3: traffic nightmare. And when is it? When is the game?
- 21:57Speaker 3: Eight thirty? So it will come like about six thirty'd
- 22:01Speaker 3: be right in the middle of Russia. I was going
- 22:02Speaker 3: to be a mess anyway, Hey, when we come back there,
- 22:04Speaker 3: great Jimmy Fayla will be with us next on seven
- 22:08Speaker 3: to ten WR Marcellone WR. Well, Jimmy Fayla a great comedian,
- 22:17Speaker 3: great talk show host, and he does a wonderful show.
- 22:20Speaker 3: If you listen to it every night on WR, you'll
- 22:23Speaker 3: love it. It's nine to midnight. If you haven't heard it,
- 22:25Speaker 3: try it tonight. Jimmy Fayla nine to midnight every weeknight.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Here Hey, and make sure you watch his TV show.
- 22:31Speaker 3: It's the best late night show in television, Saturday nights
- 22:34Speaker 3: at ten on the Fox News Channel. You'll love it.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Jimmy Fayla, how you doing?
- 22:40Speaker 4: You know what, I'm good and I'm gonna chew my
- 22:42Speaker 4: horn for one second. I did a big Olzheimer's benefit
- 22:45Speaker 4: last night at the Gotham Comedy Club and they raised
- 22:48Speaker 4: three hundred and eighty five thousand for Alzheimer's research, which
- 22:52Speaker 4: is great and let's all hope President Biden gets.
- 22:56Speaker 3: To carry needs. Hey, Jill Biden, are you impressed with
- 23:01Speaker 3: the incredible, amazing job she's doing on this book tour.
- 23:09Speaker 5: It's my favorite thing in the world.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Man.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought he was having a stroke, so I
- 23:14Speaker 4: brought him on stage at a rally with five thousand people,
- 23:18Speaker 4: and then we went to waffle House. Mark you know this.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I love waffle House. I look like I get paid
- 23:23Speaker 4: in waffle House. But nobody who's concerned about.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Your health is bringing you to a waffle house. Okay,
- 23:31Speaker 1: we all know that.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Okay, if you're looking to work on your jiu jitsu
- 23:34Speaker 4: at two.
- 23:34Speaker 1: In the morning, you go to waffle house.
- 23:36Speaker 4: You fight the crazy guy, but you're not going there
- 23:38Speaker 4: for outpatient care. Come on, Jill, but.
- 23:43Speaker 3: She is really have you read the book, She really
- 23:46Speaker 3: has nothing to say and it goes out for three
- 23:49Speaker 3: hundred tabs.
- 23:49Speaker 1: It's interesting, you make.
- 23:51Speaker 4: The best point is usually they say things to get
- 23:54Speaker 4: you to buy the book, and what she's done in set.
- 23:57Speaker 4: You know, they usually give you dirt and juice, like
- 24:00Speaker 4: he took a real high road with Doug and Kamala.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Kamala smoked Joe Biden her book like for real.
- 24:06Speaker 4: They said that they kept her stashed away. They gave
- 24:08Speaker 4: her all these BS assignments.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Jill had it.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Out for her, like Kamala was trying now again. Kamala
- 24:14Speaker 4: was also in a tough spot because she had the
- 24:16Speaker 4: only book that began in chapter eleven.
- 24:21Speaker 3: But you're right, I didn't think about that. Usually you
- 24:22Speaker 3: give some juicy tidbits from the book. Nobody. She can't
- 24:25Speaker 3: do it. No, the publisher can't give you any There's
- 24:28Speaker 3: nothing in the book. So hey, are you a big
- 24:32Speaker 3: Knicks fan?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Oh buddy, this is a wild time man. I have so,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you know.
- 24:40Speaker 4: But you know I have paid and not paid my
- 24:43Speaker 4: mortgage from betting NBA basketball over the course of the
- 24:46Speaker 4: last thirty years. I was one of those guys growing up,
- 24:49Speaker 4: but obviously a huge New York fan just in general.
- 24:52Speaker 4: And I'm telling you what I've been telling everybody. They're
- 24:55Speaker 4: going to win. San Antonio is soft. Okay, they're star
- 24:58Speaker 4: Wembaiana is French.
- 25:01Speaker 1: He's soft. He is not ready for Madison Square Garden.
- 25:04Speaker 4: If they couldn't win a mile from the river Walk
- 25:07Speaker 4: where everybody's you know, their best buddies, they just.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Gotta follow the yellow brick road to the basket.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Okay, New York is gonna eat that dude a lot
- 25:14Speaker 4: like they're gonna win. I'm telling you now, they're going
- 25:16Speaker 4: to win, and I don't want to be here when
- 25:19Speaker 4: it happens.
- 25:20Speaker 1: It's gonna be a mess.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Oh what do you mean? Oh, you're right, you're right.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I didn't think about that. Well, hopefully they went out
- 25:26Speaker 3: of town. Oh that doesn't matter. They'll still.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Now listen.
- 25:32Speaker 4: I mean, let's think of it this way. If the
- 25:34Speaker 4: next wind and they wreck, and they wreck midtown, it's
- 25:37Speaker 4: not gonna.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Look any different at this point. Will be fine.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Hey, Once in a while through the somebody invite me
- 25:43Speaker 3: to sit with them in their court side seats, and
- 25:45Speaker 3: I never go what is the Who the hell would
- 25:47Speaker 3: want to sit court side two inches from these guys
- 25:50Speaker 3: sweating all over you and bumping into you. What's the
- 25:52Speaker 3: thrill of court side?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Well, it's the thing. It's a C n B scene,
- 25:58Speaker 1: you know, place it's happening.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of celebrities. There's a lot of good energy.
- 26:03Speaker 4: I mean, you're mister in New York. So they're bringing
- 26:06Speaker 4: you there as currency for themselves. It makes them look
- 26:08Speaker 4: cool because they're sitting with you, and you know again you're.
- 26:11Speaker 1: You're lending your name and your brand.
- 26:14Speaker 4: To that atmosphere because they believe me you would be
- 26:17Speaker 4: really appreciated that they'd love to see you there. Like
- 26:19Speaker 4: anytime I'm at one of these games like that, they
- 26:21Speaker 4: love it because, like you know, you're.
- 26:23Speaker 1: A personality that's recognizable. So that's who's there.
- 26:26Speaker 4: It's either people like us who work in media that
- 26:28Speaker 4: folks have heard of, or people who make fifty times
- 26:31Speaker 4: as much money as.
- 26:32Speaker 1: We do and nobody's heard of. You know, but they
- 26:35Speaker 1: have a good racket.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Though I'm not telling you that's they got the better deal.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Probably.
- 26:39Speaker 4: You know, if you're the CEO of a company I
- 26:42Speaker 4: have to google, no one's making you sign something into urinal.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Okay, we're in a different way.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but court set, they literally crash it. You know,
- 26:53Speaker 3: I like sitting in the front of the Yankee game,
- 26:55Speaker 3: but I don't want to sit and shares along the
- 26:56Speaker 3: first baseline or fryet it.
- 26:59Speaker 4: But you know what, you'd be used to people slamming
- 27:02Speaker 4: into if you rode the subway more.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you.
- 27:06Speaker 3: So, hey, what is the betting? Is the betting in
- 27:12Speaker 3: favor of the Knicks right now?
- 27:14Speaker 1: So here's the deal.
- 27:15Speaker 4: The Spurs were the favorites to win the series before
- 27:18Speaker 4: it's started. Yeah, and now it's close to an even
- 27:21Speaker 4: money bet. A lot of people think the Knicks can
- 27:24Speaker 4: win this thing. So you got you know, you're gonna
- 27:27Speaker 4: have some real intensity when this series gets back to
- 27:29Speaker 4: the garden Monday night.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You're gonna have the trump Man there. Did you see that?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yeah, But it's not gonna be like a UFC fight
- 27:38Speaker 4: where he walks into a standing ovation.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I think he's gonna be in a luxury box.
- 27:43Speaker 4: But I would expect the crowd, in all honesty, they're
- 27:47Speaker 4: probably going to either cheer him or be predominantly cheering him.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Because the fans are there to win a game, and
- 27:55Speaker 4: the game is so much more important when you haven't
- 27:58Speaker 4: won in fifty three years than the politics.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So I would actually expect if he was.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Going to a game in you know, the middle of
- 28:05Speaker 4: may or March or whatever, you know, you might see
- 28:07Speaker 4: a little more activism out of the crowd. I genuinely
- 28:10Speaker 4: don't expect it. I do not expect him to get
- 28:12Speaker 4: boot in the garden. Not the guy who's been going
- 28:15Speaker 4: to Knicks games his whole life, Like.
- 28:16Speaker 1: For real, he's been to a lot of next games.
- 28:19Speaker 4: He's he's chased more loose balls than James Talla Vico.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Come on, man, god, everybody.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Oh hey, Scott Pelley, the biggest pompous ass in the
- 28:31Speaker 3: history of broadcasting. You know, I'm reading the variety variety,
- 28:35Speaker 3: this left wing Hollywood thing that says, with the firing
- 28:39Speaker 3: sixty minutes, can it go on? Yeah, what do you mean,
- 28:42Speaker 3: Kenny go on? It'll be on Sunday night. It's just fun.
- 28:47Speaker 1: He was such an arrogant jackass. And again, everybody who's
- 28:52Speaker 1: trying to make this something else, like, oh, the freedom
- 28:54Speaker 1: of speech. You're President Trump.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Okay, Well then you go into your boss's office in
- 29:00Speaker 4: front of the whole staff and curse.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Him out and let me know how that goes.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Okay, it's like everybody's conveniently leaving out the most important
- 29:08Speaker 4: part of this story, that he trashed his boss in
- 29:12Speaker 4: front of the whole company, videotaped it and handed it
- 29:14Speaker 4: to the New York Times. I don't care where.
- 29:17Speaker 1: People are listening right now.
- 29:19Speaker 4: There's not a single person in a single profession that
- 29:22Speaker 4: can do that and hold on to their job.
- 29:24Speaker 3: So apparently they called him in the next day in
- 29:27Speaker 3: private just to air this out. Yes, and he did
- 29:30Speaker 3: it again. So do you think you think he was
- 29:34Speaker 3: deliberately doing this to get fired and go out as
- 29:37Speaker 3: a martyr and then maybe that way you get some.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Other job, because he thinks doing this gives him integrity,
- 29:45Speaker 4: because he thinks this is like a journalistic stand.
- 29:48Speaker 1: And what a lot of people that.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Are in that little left wing bubble don't understand is
- 29:53Speaker 4: no one takes them seriously.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Like people know sixty minutes lies, they know they edited,
- 29:58Speaker 1: commonly interviews they I've seen.
- 30:00Speaker 4: I mean that one of the most egregious things he
- 30:02Speaker 4: ever did, Pelly is if you ever watch him, he
- 30:04Speaker 4: was interviewing the Moms for Liberty, and the Moms for
- 30:07Speaker 4: Liberty were a group that didn't want sex books in kindergarten.
- 30:11Speaker 1: So they formed a group to say, hey, can we
- 30:13Speaker 1: do something about the curriculum.
- 30:14Speaker 4: We don't need kindergarten kids, because let's be clear, anybody
- 30:17Speaker 4: who wants to read a sex book to a kindergartener
- 30:20Speaker 4: shouldn't be allowed around a kindergarten.
- 30:21Speaker 5: I think it's pretty straightforward.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Okay, but the point is Mom's for Liberty. You're making
- 30:26Speaker 1: that case if you watch the video.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Okay, he just starts voicing over their comments. He's like,
- 30:31Speaker 4: soh told me a little bit about your group, and
- 30:33Speaker 4: she's like, well, we were formed because there were sex
- 30:35Speaker 4: books in our kindergarten. And he just starts talking over
- 30:37Speaker 4: them to voiceover. They seem to be regurgitating a lot
- 30:41Speaker 4: of Maga talking points. I'm like, does did anybody hear
- 30:45Speaker 4: the part about the books and the kids, because that's
- 30:48Speaker 4: not maga, that's humanity, you know.
- 30:51Speaker 5: But that's who he was.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And they all think just two things.
- 30:55Speaker 4: They think they're better people than the rest of us,
- 30:58Speaker 4: that they have some moral high ground, and they think
- 31:01Speaker 4: because he was e'veen in TV too long Okay, the
- 31:04Speaker 4: game changed, like the era of you make twenty million
- 31:07Speaker 4: dollars a year to cover two stories a month and
- 31:10Speaker 4: you can talk down to your boss in front of people.
- 31:13Speaker 1: TV Ain't that anymore?
- 31:14Speaker 4: Mark, You know, TV is a lot of things. It
- 31:17Speaker 4: is not nineteen eighty. It is not nineteen seventy. Okay,
- 31:20Speaker 4: in twenty twenty six you were on the wrong side.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Of supply and demand. If you work in TV, you
- 31:26Speaker 1: should know that.
- 31:27Speaker 3: The good point. Maybe if you're a Milton Berl in
- 31:30Speaker 3: nineteen forty and a nineteen fifty you could do that
- 31:33Speaker 3: to NBC since you were the only hit show they had.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 31:36Speaker 3: But hey, you're a big TV star now big radio start.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Could you ever imagine taking yourself that? Seriously?
- 31:43Speaker 1: No, that's what I don't get because nobody.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Wants to be around that person. And when you're doing
- 31:50Speaker 4: TV and doing radio, we are company. Everybody listening right now,
- 31:54Speaker 4: whether they're commuting, they're already work, they're listening at home,
- 31:57Speaker 4: they're out in the morning walk, we're hanging out with them.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Where their company?
- 32:01Speaker 4: And would you really want company who comes over and
- 32:03Speaker 4: just tells you he's better than everybody all day? It's
- 32:06Speaker 4: horrible and like, I don't know how they don't know that,
- 32:09Speaker 4: but they don't know that. So it's funny to watch
- 32:12Speaker 4: this play out because the people defending him are basically
- 32:15Speaker 4: telling you that what he did was okay.
- 32:16Speaker 1: You know, like Jake Tapper is acting all surprised, but
- 32:19Speaker 1: this is this is the same guy who wrote a
- 32:21Speaker 1: book about the cover up of Joe.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Biden's cognitive decline, like it was the oj Confession book.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Tapper, He's like, I can't believe the media nobody was
- 32:29Speaker 1: onto this.
- 32:30Speaker 4: I'm like, as you defended him every night.
- 32:32Speaker 1: You fraud.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Hey, Jimmy, Philip Listener writes a question. I love it
- 32:39Speaker 3: when he says it, but ask him, well, he always says,
- 32:41Speaker 3: hey girl, where did hay girl come from?
- 32:44Speaker 4: Oh?
- 32:44Speaker 5: You want to laugh?
- 32:45Speaker 4: That is actually how me and the women of Fox
- 32:47Speaker 4: News talk about talk to each other. We don't entirely
- 32:51Speaker 4: know why, but we think it's based out of like
- 32:53Speaker 4: the cat calling era in New York City and that
- 32:55Speaker 4: was like a viral issue. So I always walk around
- 32:58Speaker 4: in the hallways at Fox and I'll be like, hey girl,
- 33:01Speaker 4: and a lot of women like Kennedy or Dana Perino
- 33:03Speaker 4: and Martha will.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Be like hey girl, And that's like a thing. Now, Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: I just do it as a joke, But that's funny.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I'm glad they.
- 33:10Speaker 7: Wanted to know.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Oh it's very catchy. So Jimmy Fayla, you got to
- 33:13Speaker 3: you gotta listen to him every weeknight, nine to midnight
- 33:17Speaker 3: right here on w R. What do you got on tonight?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Ooh, it's just comedians.
- 33:21Speaker 4: I'm bringing on Dave Landow, one of my favorite comics
- 33:24Speaker 4: in the world. And Ryan Reese is a New York guy.
- 33:26Speaker 4: And we're just gonna make fun of the California election.
- 33:28Speaker 5: I mean, how are we living in.
- 33:30Speaker 4: A country where we can ship the president of Venezueli
- 33:33Speaker 4: here in less than six hours, but we need two
- 33:35Speaker 4: weeks to count votes.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Nobody bought that. That's crazy.
- 33:38Speaker 3: So nine to midnight every weeknight and then Saturday nights,
- 33:41Speaker 3: he does the best late night show on television. President
