Speaker 1: I didn't understand it at first.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Comment, if you know what it means.
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: Alright, I actually.
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: No, I didn't.
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: I recorded a podcast yesterday, I think.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: Right, I just uploaded the video today.
• 0:59
Speaker 1: Did I record one today?
• 1:00
Speaker 1: Man, I'm all over the place.
• 1:02
Speaker 1: Hold on, let me check real quick.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: I gotta go to my.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: Did I record one today?
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Man, I'm all over the place.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: Hold on, let me check real quick.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: I gotta go to my podcast website.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: So it says I think it was yesterday.
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, so yesterday, yesterday, I recorded a podcast, uploaded it, but I just did the videos today.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: So that's why I'm thinking, anyway, I was while I was doing that, oh, and I finally prayed the rosary again today.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: It's been a minute, man, it's been not quite a month, but man, it's just too long.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: So I did that.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: I go all out too, kind of.
• 1:42
Speaker 1: I got my little prayer station thing, which is kind of orthodox, and I have, I have, you know, candle going, I have frankincense burning and do the whole thing getting the.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: You know, I like the smell of frankincense, man I don't know, and so does God, anyway.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: So as I was, you know, doing the video editing, editing what very little bit of editing I do I was just kind of doom scrolling again and I don't know what I was on.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: I think it was TikTok or something maybe, and it was showing police clearing a house and finding dead bodies in Utah.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: I lived in Utah, so I'm like what, and it's like I don't know the whole story, because it was just like you know how they show you one part clip and then you've got to watch the next part, and I hate getting sucked into that sometimes and I kind of didn't have the time, so I just saw that and then I was like, so all this family, you know, like the husband and the wife were like getting a divorce, and so then you, you know the a, what do you call it when you call the police to go welfare check?
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: There we go.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: Did a welfare welfare check?
• 2:52
Speaker 1: No answer was able to get somebody that had a key, a family member.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: They went in, cleared the house and found a bunch of dead bodies, but it wasn't saying what was going on, you know, and I was just kind of watching, waiting, and then, yes, and you know, looks like shot to the face, you know, the kids, everybody, man, and I don't know what it is.
• 3:11
Speaker 1: I'm assuming the husband did it and probably killed himself.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: I have no idea.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: There is some information on it, so I was going to read over it and talk about it, but so I'm not going to get too fissilofical about it.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: But so I'm not going to get too fissilofical.
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: What?
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: How Philosophical man?
• 3:35
Speaker 1: Philosophical, no, philosophical, no, how do you say it?
• 3:41
Speaker 1: Man, I have a hard time saying certain words Heroic, I have a hard time saying it.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: Like I have to really concentrate to say heroic, and I've noticed when listening to other podcasts about heroic I say it wrong and I could not say it for the longest time.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: There are certain words that I just have a hard time saying.
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: I don't know why.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: I got two cameras going on, I got my phone recording plus the thing.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: I'm going to try something new with the videos and maybe add in different angles and stuff just to see, if I don't know, make it a little more interesting, I guess.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: See how it goes.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: It's more work, though.
• 4:13
Speaker 1: You know me, I'm lazy boom, boom, boom, anyway, why can't I say it?
• 4:25
Speaker 1: So, philosophy, philosophy, philosophical, right, isn't it something like that man?
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Anyway, I'm just going to get into the story and we'll go from there, because I don't know a whole lot.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: So, let's see, this is man.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: This is sad, though this is going to be horrific.
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 4:48
Speaker 1: It says so on wikipedia.
• 4:50
Speaker 1: You know it's always my go-to.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: First one the killing of the, the hate family, height family h-a-i-g-h-t.
• 4:59
Speaker 1: Hate or height, anyway, enoch.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: I don't know where enoch is, I've never been there.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: But on january 4 2023, a family side also like, killed his family.
• 5:11
Speaker 1: Okay, occurred in enoch, utah, united states, when eight members eight dang, I thought it said of a single family consisting of three adults and five children so he probably shot himself were fatally shot in their home in a mass shooting.
• 5:23
Speaker 1: Authorities identified one of the adults, 42-year-old Michael Haight, as a perpetrator.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: Haight had been investigated by the Enoch Police Department for domestic abuse allegations in 2020.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Two weeks prior to the killing, his wife had commenced divorce proceedings.
• 5:44
Speaker 1: Police went to the family residence to conduct a welfare check at 4 pm january 4th and found eight family members deceased from gunshot wounds.
• 5:51
Speaker 1: They were identified as 42 year old michael height hate, his wife tasha, her mother gail and five children, 17, 12, 7 and 4 dude man.
• 6:04
Speaker 1: The welfare check had been requested by family friend after Tasha had missed an appointment earlier that afternoon.
• 6:11
Speaker 1: And when you watch the, the, the video I watched it was it had audio from the 911 call and it must be a small town or something because it was like oh she's, she's an hour late.
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: She's never late.
• 6:22
Speaker 1: It's like an hour you're calling the police when somebody didn't make a video conference for an hour.
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: It's a little strange.
• 6:28
Speaker 1: But I guess you know there were some issues at home.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: So maybe she, you know, but I'm kind of surprised that the police, based on that, went and checked.
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: You know.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure they didn't rush over there.
• 6:40
Speaker 1: It was, you know, myself working in law enforcement for the Army and as a civilian and stuff it was.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: You know you do welfare checks, but it was always, you know, in order of receiving it and, you know, depending on what's going on.
• 6:54
Speaker 1: So nothing's going on.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: Okay, now we got a welfare check, let's go do it.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: And then it turned into a thing, obviously.
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: But anyway.
• 7:03
Speaker 1: Authorities determined that the perpetrator was the father Michael, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after fatally shooting his family members.
• 7:14
Speaker 1: Man, how do you?
• 7:17
Speaker 1: You know I've talked about depression and suicide and stuff.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: I've talked about depression and suicide and stuff.
• 7:25
Speaker 1: You know, I used to before I couldn't understand suicide and then I got to a point where I understood it.
• 7:32
Speaker 1: You know, I'm not saying it's the right thing.
• 7:34
Speaker 1: Definitely now, as a Catholic, it's not the right thing, but I kind of understood it because it wasn't.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: I mean, for some people it's just an easy way out, they're done, and for others it's, you know, they feel like they're a burden on other people.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: So they want to rid their loved ones of the burden and so they kill themselves, you know.
• 7:54
Speaker 1: But to just take out your family, it's like if you, you, if you can't handle it and whatever, then you know what, take the coward's way out, that's fine, but don't take your family with you.
• 8:13
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know he's going to hell for sure, but I mean, how do you, I don't know.
• 8:26
Speaker 1: I just I don't, just like that one guy that had the Netflix special, killed his wife and killed his kid, like I don't know what it's more it's.
• 8:36
Speaker 1: I hate, you know.
• 8:38
Speaker 1: But demons, man, like what would possess somebody, you know, oh, what would possess somebody to kill their family?
• 8:42
Speaker 1: A demon, a demon, would you know.
• 8:43
Speaker 1: Demons, man, like what would possess somebody, you know, oh, what would possess somebody to kill their family?
• 8:45
Speaker 1: A demon, a demon, would you know.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: So he depression or sadness over you know what was going on with his wife, why were they getting divorced though I'm going to see if maybe it talks about that but like, was he cheating with her?
• 8:58
Speaker 1: Was he kind of abusive?
• 8:59
Speaker 1: Was he little things, that kind of invite the demons into your, into your life and your soul.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: And then, you know, they make him think that, oh, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta leave, you gotta and take your kids with you, like what, take your family.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: But that's what possesses someone to kill their entire family.
• 9:23
Speaker 1: Anyway, so hate, why is it?
• 9:27
Speaker 1: It's always like, whenever I do this, there's always names that I don't know if I'm pronouncing right.
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: I think it's hate, because H-A-I-G-H-T Hate.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: I think that's what it is.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: That's what I'm going to say.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: I think that's what it is.
• 9:43
Speaker 1: That's what I'm going to say.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: Haight had been investigated by the Enoch Police Department for domestic abuse due to accusations made by his eldest daughter.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: Macy reportedly told police that her father had become assaultive over the three previous years and he had choked her and she was afraid his attacks would worsen and very afraid that he was going to kill her.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: Michael told the investigating officer that his daughter, 14 at the time, was mouthy Quote-unquote mouthy.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: He told the investigating officer that he had surveyed his wife's phone and tablet to assure himself she hadn't spoken about the family in a negative way to anyone.
• 10:20
Speaker 1: Tasha Haight told the officer that she didn't believe filing charges was necessary and that she expected Michael would take this as a quote-unquote wake-up call.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: The officer told Tasha there was no indication that there would be any violent behavior on Michael's part.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: Asked about the domestic violence allegations after the killings, the county attorney's office said it found insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges.
• 10:46
Speaker 1: Tasha had commenced divorce proceedings against Michael two weeks prior to the shooting.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: Days before the shooting, tasha had reportedly told her family that Michael had removed all guns from the family home.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: Okay, but so he said?
• 11:00
Speaker 1: Oh, he said he removed them all.
• 11:02
Speaker 1: Come on, man, he's going to keep one in his car.
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: Somebody gets divorced.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: See, that's the thing you know.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: I don't know I'm not going to get into all that, but people are too quick to divorce, you know, need to really find out the root cause of what's going on and try and fix it, because that's one of the important things about being a Christian Catholic the sanctity of marriage.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: You know People and you know that's kind of the reason why the world is crappy like it is.
• 11:49
Speaker 1: Why the world is crappy like it is is people will marry people and not think too much about it because they can always get divorced.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: Like it's not.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: You know I got married pretty quick so I can't really, I can't really preach about it.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: You know, like I don't know, but like I was very picky with who I wanted to date.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: You know, yes, I had premarital sex and I hooked up with girls but I never was serious with them because for some reason I just I don't know it's like you just kind of know you have that feeling or something.
• 12:35
Speaker 1: I don't know it was just there were certain girls that I was open to becoming serious and whatever, but then it just didn't work from their you know point of view or mine maybe, I don't know.
• 12:47
Speaker 1: But when I met my wife, I mean it wasn't like immediately, but I just kind of felt like she was a good woman, she would be a good mother and I thank God for her all the time.
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: You know it's I don't know.
• 13:12
Speaker 1: But so, and you know, we're going on.
• 13:13
Speaker 1: Pretty soon it's going to be 20 years.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: We've been married, hasn't always been great, but I'm just really thankful that we are still married and now with you know, I mean she was always Catholic, but she wasn't like a practicing Catholic, so to speak.
• 13:32
Speaker 1: You know she grew up Catholic but she wasn't like a practicing Catholic, so to speak.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: You know she grew up Catholic, went to Catholic school and everything like that.
• 13:37
Speaker 1: But I don't know what I was trying to say, I don't know.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: It's just I feel like almost like you know I was just, you know God was, this was part of His plan.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: I know it's like I don't say like, oh, he gets involved in every little thing, but in the baby it's not so much God, it's the Holy Spirit or whatever.
• 14:05
Speaker 1: But there are things, you know, I was never really big on being.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: I mean, you know I didn't hook up with girls and have one night stands or whatever, but it never got to be like debauchery, I don't know.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: It never got to be like debauchery, I don't know.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: I never, when I was dating, I never, you know, cheated or had any kind of weird things go on.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: I always felt like it was wrong to cheat on somebody.
• 14:24
Speaker 1: You know like that was and I think that was the whole the sanctity of marriage kind of inside me.
• 14:30
Speaker 1: That you know it wasn't the same thing, but it was just.
• 14:32
Speaker 1: That was there for me.
• 14:33
Speaker 1: You know, the, the, the idea of me being christian was there, or it was like implanted inside me.
• 14:40
Speaker 1: It was deep inside me, which took me a while to find it, to get it out, because, you know, a lot of the values I had were are catholic in nature.
• 14:52
Speaker 1: I just didn't, you know, put two and two together.
• 14:54
  Speaker 1: I didn't realize it.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm trying to say, it's just, I'm definitely not, you know I still I'm a sinful person.
• 15:03
Speaker 1: I try not to and you know, like I said, I haven't done the rosary in like a couple weeks, three weeks I think.
• 15:10
Speaker 1: But I'm still trying, I still see it, I still believe, I still love god and, uh, you know, I, I believe in the sanctity of marriage and I believe that family is, you know, the most important thing on earth and and I I believe that satan is trying to destroy the family.
• 15:28
Speaker 1: You know dynamics with women being independent and you know whatever this and that, and children, you know getting into porn at early ages and now all the you know, it's just, it's destroying the family.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: And yeah, why am I going this way, just talking about this and myself, the demons.
• 15:56
Speaker 1: How did I get to where I'm at?
• 15:57
Speaker 1: Anyway, I don't know, it's just really sad.
• 16:02
Speaker 1: Oh, I was talking about divorce and everything.
• 16:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, so divorce, oh, yeah, okay, this is the whole reason I went on this.
• 16:08
Speaker 1: So that's why Christians and Catholics, when you get married, you marry another Christian with the same values and it's important the marriage, and you have family and kids and everything and everything.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: Because when and you work on it, because when you don't, you know you have divorce and that really kind of messes up families and kids and and it just brings in the demons, man, you know, and when I say demons, it's literally demons, but it's just also just all the negativity that goes along with it depression and and drug abuse and everything.
• 16:52
Speaker 1: Those are, all you know, brought on and glorified by demons.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: So you know, people are like, oh, they're really.
• 17:00
Speaker 1: It's like dude, demons are real.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: They're not, you know, a little horned person hiding behind the door to jump scare you, but they're a presence in the world and they feed on the negativity that's brought on by, you know, families that are not compatible and get divorced and all this stuff.
• 17:20
Speaker 1: You know, I'm curious what this guy I'm going to see if I can find some more information on him just based on I don't know like what.
• 17:27
Speaker 1: Anyway, back to the story.
• 17:30
Speaker 1: Oh crap, I just changed the camera.
• 17:32
Speaker 1: I moved my monitor.
• 17:33
Speaker 1: I realized I forgot that I got a camera recording me.
• 17:35
Speaker 1: Hold on, I got to look and make sure I didn't check it out.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: All right, tilt it.
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: There we go.
• 17:40
Speaker 1: Okay, where am I at?
• 17:43
Speaker 1: I'm at, oh, I'm so good.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: Okay, the aftermath Family members of the victims released a statement shortly after the shooting in which they invited all to turn to God in the time of need, praised first responders' efforts and advocated against the use of the situation for political agendas, claiming that all protective arms had previously been removed from the home earlier.
• 18:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, when you know, after the Catholic shooting.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: And then you had the mayors, everybody talking and putting down and dissing prayers, oh prayers.
• 18:12
Speaker 1: What it's like, dude.
• 18:21
Speaker 1: That is just sick and demonic, you know.
• 18:22
Speaker 1: The statement also states that the GoFundMe had been created to help the funeral arrangements and other costs.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: The victims were buried in a single-service LA Viscosity Cemetery.
• 18:30
Speaker 1: It was reported that Michael's name went unmentioned at the service and that he had a separate private funeral held.
• 18:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean after the funeral services.
• 18:38
Speaker 1: Another statement was released by Tasha and Gail's family where they say they have no ill will against the Haight family in the wake of the shooting.
• 18:46
Speaker 1: But man, they're looking.
• 18:49
Speaker 1: An obituary of unknown origin praised Haight as a loving father.
• 18:54
Speaker 1: It was removed after the description sparked outrage.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: You can't say he was loving when he took out his whole family.
• 18:59
Speaker 1: Maybe he was loving at a time.
• 19:01
Speaker 1: At one point state and local governments offered their condolences in the wake of the shooting.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: Additionally, counselors and therapists offered their services.
• 19:10
Speaker 1: So I'm kind of let me see, I'm going to see if I can pull something up their services.
• 19:13
Speaker 1: So I'm kind of let me see, I'm going to see if I can pull something up While we're I'm here.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Usually I do this kind of stuff.
• 19:21
Speaker 1: See, I'm not very good at planning these because, like, I'll pull up.
• 19:28
Speaker 1: When I do get ready and pull a bunch of stuff up, I don't get to it.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: Because I don't get to it because I don't know, I just end up talking too much.
• 19:38
Speaker 1: And then, when I don't look at it, man, I got these nice little family pictures.
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: It's heartbreaking man.
• 19:46
  Speaker 1: I wonder why.
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: Let's see.
• 19:50
Speaker 1: So this happened in 2023.
• 19:52
Speaker 1: Let me see what.
• 19:53
Speaker 1: The newest, the latest article on him let's see Three years ago, two years ago, two years ago.
• 20:00
Speaker 1: So I wonder if there's something a little newer.
• 20:02
Speaker 1: Maybe that has a little more information.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: Let me try this one.
• 20:07
Speaker 1: Just kind of curious.
• 20:19
Speaker 1: Utah man who allegedly killed wife and five kids in murder, suicide, blamed spouse for failed marriage.
• 20:21
Speaker 1: Utah man said I would rather rot in hell.
• 20:23
Speaker 1: Oh, so he left a suicide note.
• 20:25
Speaker 1: Okay, this is what I was talking about.
• 20:26
  Speaker 1: All right, okay?
• 20:28
Speaker 1: Utah man who, police say, killed his wife, five kids and his mother-in-law appears to have placed blame on his spouse in a suicide note that officials recently released.
• 20:36
Speaker 1: Michael 42, allegedly killed allegedly, I mean, I guess, yeah, you can't, but it's pretty.
• 20:42
Speaker 1: Anyway, killed his five children and wife in Utah home, which came just two weeks after his spouse filed for divorce.
• 20:52
Speaker 1: See, this shouldn't be so I mean, I'm not saying you know, oh, don't file for divorce because you're going to get murdered.
• 20:59
Speaker 1: But I guess she probably wasn't thinking.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe he really believed in the sanctity of they're probably Mormon, I would assume.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: It hasn't said, though.
• 21:07
Speaker 1: Several individuals contacted police and requested a welfare check because she missed her appointments.
• 21:16
  Speaker 1: So he killed.
• 21:18
  Speaker 1: Dang it.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: Here it comes again.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: Police recently released their final report, which states that Michael left behind a suicide note blaming his wife for the couple's marriage problems.
• 21:33
Speaker 1: I'm going to see if I Is this the actual?
• 21:35
Speaker 1: Like the report instead of getting somebody else talking about it.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: I want to see if I don't know, I think that's something else.
• 21:47
  Speaker 1: Dang it.
• 21:47
  Speaker 1: Anyway.
• 21:49
Speaker 1: I cannot believe that God has allowed the person who should be the closest to me in the world to fault-find gossip and disparage me at every turn.
• 21:58
Speaker 1: I have never seen someone who is so intent on finding faults in others.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: I have tried helping, but it generally backfires and I seem to always get blamed.
• 22:07
Speaker 1: I would rather rot in hell than to put up with another day of this manipulation and control over me.
• 22:15
Speaker 1: I have been complained about every step of the way that I work.
• 22:19
Speaker 1: Too much, put my church calling before my wife and on and on and on.
• 22:24
Speaker 1: She has been so awful to me and my family for the years.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: I have generally been patient, trying to work through her issues with my family, our kids, neighbors and wards yeah, so they're Mormon Members and others who don't make her the center of attention.
• 22:42
  Speaker 1: This is nonsense.
• 22:43
Speaker 1: I can't handle it One more day.
• 22:45
Speaker 1: We will not be a burden on society.
• 22:47
Speaker 1: See there, it is a burden.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: That's what it is.
• 22:50
Speaker 1: It's like they're helping either their loved ones or society or something.
• 22:54
Speaker 1: I kept asking for help and you wouldn't listen.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: One of their children, briley, texted indicating that she just needs to have someone to make sure she is safe.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: Police said the four divorce papers were drawn.
• 23:10
Speaker 1: December 23rd, michael allegedly told a client that he had left his job at Allstate as an insurance agent.
• 23:16
Speaker 1: Police said in their report that Michael made several concerning Google searches, including how loud a 9mm gunshot sounds like.
• 23:26
Speaker 1: I heard gunshots near my house.
• 23:28
Speaker 1: What do I do If you heard a single gunshot in your neighborhood at night?
• 23:31
Speaker 1: Would you immediately recognize it as such?
• 23:33
Speaker 1: Would you either be alerted?
• 23:34
Speaker 1: So that was pretty premeditated there.
• 23:39
Speaker 1: Another one of their children, macy, told her dance chaperone that her father is being a jerk again and is excited about the divorce.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: So I mean, the letter doesn't it kind of contradicts?
• 23:52
Speaker 1: It seems like they both were a little.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: What do you call it?
• 23:59
Speaker 1: What is it when people are just so into themselves and worry about nothing but themselves?
• 24:07
Speaker 1: I can't think of what it is.
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: Let's see.
• 24:12
Speaker 1: Okay, on January 2nd, tasha reported that firearms were removed from the home to her attorney, so I guess maybe she witnessed it.
• 24:21
Speaker 1: On January 3rd, briley told a friend that her parents are divorcing and that she's quote-unquote really excited to have her father out of the house.
• 24:28
Speaker 1: That same day, police say that Michael uncarriistically left his secretary's paycheck on her desk.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: He also leaves living trust paperwork on his desk.
• 24:39
Speaker 1: January 3rd, police say that Michael recorded a video on his phone with him asking his wife to work things out.
• 24:44
Speaker 1: I feel like you're backing me into a corner, he said during the video.
• 24:47
Speaker 1: The same night, michael texted Tasha asking her to talk, to which she didn't respond.
• 24:53
Speaker 1: January 4th, after the incident took place, a neighbor reports hearing what she thought were fireworks.
• 24:58
Speaker 1: She described the cadence of the sounds.
• 25:00
Speaker 1: Police then conducted a welfare check.
• 25:03
Speaker 1: Details in the released information are the result of dedicated and passionate investigators.
• 25:09
Speaker 1: Okay, so it, you know, and it's never just one person, you can't.
• 25:13
Speaker 1: You know, his letter makes it kind of seems like he felt like he did all he could and she wasn't, she didn't care, or whatever.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: But then the kids kind of seem, you know, I mean, it could be, it could be kind of true, you know, maybe the wife was just done, she didn't like, she didn't want nothing to do with him, and so then he became just kind of, because it doesn't just happen, it happens over time, you know.
• 25:39
Speaker 1: So I'm sure, over time he was just frustrated and unhappy and was probably not fun to be around.
• 25:45
Speaker 1: You know, I'm getting my moods.
• 25:48
Speaker 1: It's getting better now.
• 25:49
Speaker 1: But, man, there are times where I know I'm not fun to be around and that's when I would just, you know, I would tell my kids I'm like, hey, I don't know why, but I'm just, I'm not in a good mood, so I'm going to be in the room, don't come and bother me, unless you need to, you know, because I don't want to blow up on them for something stupid, and you know I hate that.
• 26:06
Speaker 1: So I'm learning to kind of control that a little bit through prayer and and just trying to, you know, be the good Christian that I should be.
• 26:16
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: It just kind of seems like.
• 26:17
Speaker 1: It seems like they probably both they, they needed marriage counseling.
• 26:24
Speaker 1: It kind of seems like though she just was done, she didn't care and gave up on it.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: Maybe he was trying to fix it, I don't know, and then he just became an asshole over it.
• 26:37
  Speaker 1: Who knows?
• 26:39
Speaker 1: That's what it kind of seems like.
• 26:41
Speaker 1: But maybe he was an asshole to begin with, maybe he needed some, you know, I don't know, it's hard to say like what, but you know, some therapy, some prayers.
• 26:50
Speaker 1: They should have, you know, converted to Catholicism.
• 26:53
Speaker 1: That probably would have helped.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: You know, talking to a priest figuring out, you know, how to protect the sanctity of marriage and and set up man, that just sucks.
• 27:05
Speaker 1: You know, people go.
• 27:09
Speaker 1: Well, you know they're Catholics.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: It's like, well, yeah, they're, you know, but just because someone's Catholic doesn't mean that they.
• 27:15
Speaker 1: You know, like I said, my wife wasn't really a practicing Catholic.
• 27:20
Speaker 1: She just went to school and would go to Mass sometimes.
• 27:23
Speaker 1: And now I mean now we all go.
• 27:25
Speaker 1: Now we all go to Mass once a week.
• 27:27
Speaker 1: We, you know, pray before every meal.
• 27:31
Speaker 1: Slowly but surely, you know, the family's becoming more and more Catholic and trying to be a good Catholic father and trying, you know, be a good Catholic father and try, and, you know, be a good example for my kids.
• 27:49
Speaker 1: You know, it's just tough for me because I still, you know, I'm still kind of learning myself.
• 27:53
Speaker 1: So I feel like I kind of feel like a fraud when I'm preaching about it, like sometimes I do on the podcast, or you know, I had a conversation with my, a friend of mine.
• 28:02
Speaker 1: I talked about it.
• 28:03
Speaker 1: I think he's like a Protestant, you know, and and I'm trying to explain to him, like why I think Catholicism is the correct way and it's the church that Jesus built, and you know.
• 28:13
Speaker 1: But it's like I still kind of feel like, you know, I'm not one to talk really, you know what I mean, I don't know, but I think it's time for me to just kind of, you know, just talk about what I know, keep learning.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: Obviously I'm still, but yeah, that situation, just that sucks.
• 28:32
Speaker 1: I couldn't man the place you'd have to be, you know.
• 28:41
Speaker 1: So he's like I can't do nothing, this is it's over.
• 28:43
Speaker 1: So he's like I can't do nothing, this is it's over.
• 28:44
Speaker 1: So he's like, was he like, okay, I'm just going to take my life.
• 28:47
Speaker 1: But then he's like man, like, was it to stick it to her?
• 28:50
Speaker 1: Maybe he wanted to kill her and himself.
• 28:52
Speaker 1: But then he's like I can't do that to my kids, I don't want my kids to suffer, so they're going to go to a better place.
• 28:58
Speaker 1: Bam, bam, which is true, but I don't know.
• 29:04
Speaker 1: Those are, you know, sad?
• 29:07
  Speaker 1: I didn't.
• 29:07
Speaker 1: I've never heard about this story either.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy.
• 29:09
Speaker 1: I thought I would have by now.
• 29:10
  Speaker 1: Anyway, that's it.
• 29:12
Speaker 1: Thanks for hanging out.
• 29:13
  Speaker 1: Appreciate your time.
• 29:14
Speaker 1: Let me know what you think and God bless.
• 29:17
Speaker 1: All right, see you next time.
• 29:18
  Speaker 1: Bye.
