  I

  am

  Eric
• 1:32
  G.
• 1:33
  John
• 1:33
  Dudley.
• 1:34
  Great
• 1:34
  to
• 1:34
  have
• 1:34
  you
• 1:34
  on
• 1:34
  again,
• 1:35
  my
• 1:35
  brother.
• 1:35
  What's
• 1:36
  happening,
• 1:36
  brother?
• 1:36
  Another
• 1:37
  day.
• 1:38
  Always
• 1:38
  good.
• 1:39
  Always
• 1:39
  good
• 1:40
  to
• 1:40
  see
• 1:40
  you.
• 1:40
  And
• 1:40
  this
• 1:41
  is.
• 1:41
  We're
• 1:41
  getting
• 1:41
  into,
• 1:41
  like,
• 1:42
  you're
• 1:42
  in
• 1:42
  my
• 1:42
  wheelhouse
• 1:43
  right
• 1:43
  here
• 1:43
  with
• 1:44
  this
• 1:44
  subject.
• 1:45
  I
• 1:45
  love
• 1:45
  it
• 1:46
  more
• 1:46
  Yours.
• 1:47
  We're
• 1:47
  talking
• 1:47
  kitchens.
• 1:48
  Mine.
• 1:48
  But
• 1:48
  you
• 1:49
  were
• 1:49
  the
• 1:49
  one
• 1:49
  throwing
• 1:49
  it
• 1:49
  together
• 1:50
  and
• 1:50
  taking
• 1:50
  my
• 1:50
  designs
• 1:51
  and
• 1:51
  trying
• 1:51
  to
• 1:51
  make
• 1:52
  it
• 1:52
  look
• 1:52
  good.
• 1:52
  Right.
• 1:53
  That's
• 1:54
  how
• 1:54
  it
• 1:54
  works.
• 1:55
  And
• 1:55
  it
• 1:55
  worked
• 1:55
  well.
• 1:56
  And
• 1:56
  you
• 1:56
  saved
• 1:57
  me
• 1:57
  plenty
• 1:58
  of
• 1:58
  times.
• 1:58
  So
• 1:59
  that's
• 1:59
  why
• 1:59
  I
• 1:59
  say
• 1:59
  more
• 1:59
  your
• 2:00
  wheelhouse
• 2:00
  than
• 2:00
  mine.
• 2:01
  I'm
• 2:01
  like,
• 2:01
  eric,
• 2:02
  I'm
• 2:02
  going
• 2:02
  to
• 2:02
  do
• 2:02
  this.
• 2:03
  You're
• 2:03
  like,
• 2:03
  yeah,
• 2:03
  no,
• 2:03
  you're
• 2:04
  not.
• 2:04
  No,
• 2:04
  you're
• 2:04
  not,
• 2:06
  man.
• 2:07
  I
• 2:07
  tell
• 2:07
  you
• 2:07
  what,
• 2:07
  as
• 2:08
  a
• 2:08
  certified
• 2:08
  kitchen
• 2:09
  designer
• 2:09
  for
• 2:10
  what,
• 2:10
  geez,
• 2:10
  35
• 2:11
  years,
• 2:12
  you
• 2:12
  learn
• 2:13
  some
• 2:13
  lessons
• 2:13
  along
• 2:14
  the
• 2:14
  way,
• 2:14
  for
• 2:15
  sure.
• 2:15
  And
• 2:17
  some
• 2:17
  of
• 2:17
  the
• 2:17
  mistakes
• 2:18
  I
• 2:18
  made
• 2:18
  over
• 2:19
  the
• 2:19
  years.
• 2:19
  And
• 2:19
  that's
• 2:19
  how
• 2:20
  you
• 2:20
  learned.
• 2:20
  I
• 2:20
  mean,
• 2:20
  it's
• 2:21
  so
• 2:21
  crazy
• 2:21
  when
• 2:22
  you
• 2:22
  look
• 2:22
  at
• 2:22
  how
• 2:22
  the
• 2:23
  industry
• 2:23
  has
• 2:23
  changed.
• 2:24
  When
• 2:24
  I
• 2:24
  started,
• 2:25
  everything
• 2:25
  was
• 2:26
  hand
• 2:26
  drawings.
• 2:26
  This
• 2:27
  was
• 2:27
  before
• 2:28
  CAD
• 2:29
  was
• 2:29
  just
• 2:30
  coming
• 2:30
  out.
• 2:30
  But
• 2:30
  it
• 2:31
  was.
• 2:31
  It
• 2:32
  was
• 2:32
  really
• 2:32
  rudimentary
• 2:34
  and
• 2:34
  I
• 2:35
  learned
• 2:35
  in
• 2:35
  a
• 2:35
  home
• 2:36
  center
• 2:36
  type
• 2:36
  thing
• 2:36
  at
• 2:37
  Eagle
• 2:37
  Hardware
• 2:37
  and
• 2:37
  then
• 2:38
  went
• 2:38
  from
• 2:38
  there.
• 2:39
  And
• 2:40
  technology
• 2:40
  has
• 2:40
  changed.
• 2:41
  I
• 2:41
  remember,
• 2:42
  though,
• 2:42
  back
• 2:42
  in
• 2:42
  the
• 2:43
  90s,
• 2:44
  some
• 2:44
  of
• 2:44
  the
• 2:44
  stuff
• 2:44
  we
• 2:44
  have
• 2:44
  today
• 2:45
  was
• 2:45
  coming
• 2:45
  out
• 2:45
  in.
• 2:46
  GE
• 2:46
  had
• 2:46
  an
• 2:47
  induction
• 2:47
  cooktop
• 2:47
  back
• 2:48
  then.
• 2:48
  Yeah.
• 2:48
  That
• 2:49
  they
• 2:49
  were
• 2:49
  trying
• 2:49
  to
• 2:50
  push.
• 2:50
  They
• 2:50
  were
• 2:50
  just
• 2:51
  20
• 2:51
  years
• 2:51
  ahead
• 2:51
  of
• 2:52
  themselves
• 2:52
  on
• 2:52
  it.
• 2:52
  Right.
• 2:53
  It
• 2:53
  was
• 2:53
  interesting
• 2:53
  to
• 2:54
  see
• 2:54
  how
• 2:54
  that's
• 2:54
  gone.
• 2:55
  But
• 2:56
  I
• 2:56
  wanted
• 2:56
  to
• 2:56
  talk
• 2:56
  about
• 2:57
  today.
• 2:57
  Just
• 2:57
  our
• 2:57
  10
• 2:58
  pitfalls
• 2:58
  that
• 2:58
  people
• 2:59
  make
• 2:59
  out
• 2:59
  there.
• 2:59
  And
• 3:00
  the
• 3:00
  first
• 3:00
  one
• 3:02
  is
• 3:02
  so
• 3:02
  common,
• 3:03
  but
• 3:03
  it's
• 3:03
  copying
• 3:04
  the
• 3:04
  old
• 3:04
  design
• 3:05
  from
• 3:05
  30
• 3:05
  plus
• 3:06
  years
• 3:06
  ago.
• 3:07
  Yeah.
• 3:08
  That's.
• 3:08
  Don't
• 3:09
  do
• 3:09
  that.
• 3:10
  Think
• 3:11
  about
• 3:11
  it.
• 3:11
  Think
• 3:11
  about
• 3:12
  30
• 3:12
  years
• 3:13
  ago.
• 3:14
  People
• 3:14
  had
• 3:14
  the
• 3:14
  microwave
• 3:15
  cart.
• 3:16
  Yeah.
• 3:16
  And
• 3:17
  you
• 3:18
  had
• 3:18
  the
• 3:18
  cupboard
• 3:18
  full
• 3:19
  of,
• 3:19
  like,
• 3:19
  margarine
• 3:20
  containers
• 3:20
  that
• 3:21
  were
• 3:21
  the
• 3:21
  Tupperware
• 3:21
  containers
• 3:22
  of
• 3:22
  the
• 3:22
  day.
• 3:24
  Right.
• 3:24
  Yeah.
• 3:26
  Yep.
• 3:28
  You
• 3:28
  have
• 3:29
  the
• 3:29
  toaster
• 3:29
  oven,
• 3:29
  the
• 3:30
  mixer,
• 3:30
  and
• 3:30
  that
• 3:31
  was
• 3:31
  about
• 3:31
  it.
• 3:31
  Yeah.
• 3:32
  Now
• 3:33
  they
• 3:33
  have
• 3:33
  retailers
• 3:34
  out
• 3:34
  there
• 3:34
  that
• 3:34
  just
• 3:35
  Sell
• 3:35
  the
• 3:36
  junk
• 3:36
  that
• 3:36
  goes
• 3:36
  in
• 3:36
  your
• 3:37
  kitchen
• 3:37
  cabinets
• 3:38
  and
• 3:38
  they
• 3:38
  have
• 3:38
  a
• 3:38
  store
• 3:38
  of
• 3:38
  it.
• 3:39
  Yep.
• 3:39
  You
• 3:40
  got
• 3:40
  the
• 3:40
  Sur
• 3:40
  La
• 3:40
  Tabs,
• 3:41
  the
• 3:42
  all
• 3:42
  the
• 3:42
  different
• 3:43
  companies
• 3:43
  out
• 3:43
  there,
• 3:43
  Williams
• 3:44
  Sonoma
• 3:45
  that's
• 3:45
  selling
• 3:45
  all
• 3:45
  the
• 3:45
  crazy
• 3:46
  stuff
• 3:47
  and
• 3:48
  you
• 3:48
  gotta
• 3:48
  store
• 3:49
  it
• 3:49
  someplace.
• 3:50
  And
• 3:50
  those
• 3:50
  old
• 3:50
  designs
• 3:52
  really
• 3:53
  were
• 3:53
  usually
• 3:54
  done
• 3:54
  by
• 3:54
  the
• 3:55
  builder
• 3:55
  to
• 3:55
  save
• 3:56
  money.
• 3:56
  Yeah.
• 3:57
  There
• 3:57
  were
• 3:57
  boxes
• 3:57
  they
• 3:58
  didn't
• 3:58
  take
• 3:58
  into
• 3:58
  consideration
• 3:59
  any
• 3:59
  of
• 4:00
  the
• 4:00
  stuff
• 4:00
  that
• 4:00
  we
• 4:00
  have
• 4:00
  now.
• 4:01
  Like,
• 4:01
  it's
• 4:01
  a
• 4:01
  whole
• 4:02
  different
• 4:02
  storage
• 4:03
  factor
• 4:03
  that
• 4:03
  you
• 4:03
  have
• 4:04
  to
• 4:04
  consider.
• 4:05
  Back
• 4:05
  then,
• 4:06
  the
• 4:06
  traditional
• 4:07
  kitchen
• 4:07
  had
• 4:08
  one
• 4:08
  bank
• 4:08
  of
• 4:08
  18
• 4:09
  inch
• 4:09
  drawers,
• 4:10
  three
• 4:10
  or
• 4:10
  four
• 4:10
  drawers,
• 4:11
  top
• 4:12
  drawers
• 4:12
  around
• 4:12
  the
• 4:12
  rest
• 4:13
  of
• 4:13
  the
• 4:13
  kitchen.
• 4:14
  And
• 4:14
  you
• 4:14
  were
• 4:14
  good.
• 4:15
  I
• 4:15
  just
• 4:16
  remember
• 4:16
  the
• 4:16
  Tupperware
• 4:17
  drawer
• 4:17
  since
• 4:18
  you
• 4:18
  brought
• 4:18
  up
• 4:18
  the
• 4:18
  margarine
• 4:19
  container.
• 4:19
  And
• 4:20
  it
• 4:20
  was
• 4:20
  always
• 4:20
  the
• 4:20
  big
• 4:21
  deep
• 4:21
  drawer
• 4:22
  on
• 4:22
  the
• 4:22
  bottom
• 4:23
  that
• 4:23
  you
• 4:24
  to
• 4:24
  dig
• 4:24
  through
• 4:24
  to
• 4:25
  try
• 4:25
  to
• 4:25
  find
• 4:25
  the
• 4:25
  one
• 4:25
  top
• 4:26
  that
• 4:26
  fit
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  one
• 4:27
  green
• 4:28
  something
• 4:29
  container
• 4:30
  that
• 4:30
  you
• 4:30
  were
• 4:30
  trying
• 4:31
  to
• 4:31
  put
• 4:31
  mashed
• 4:31
  potatoes
• 4:32
  in.
• 4:32
  You're
• 4:32
  like,
• 4:32
  oh
• 4:33
  my
• 4:33
  Lord.
• 4:34
  Oh,
• 4:34
  yeah.
• 4:35
  And
• 4:35
  then
• 4:35
  by
• 4:35
  the
• 4:35
  time
• 4:35
  you
• 4:36
  found
• 4:36
  it,
• 4:36
  you
• 4:36
  realized
• 4:37
  the
• 4:37
  bottom
• 4:37
  had
• 4:37
  a
• 4:38
  split
• 4:38
  in
• 4:38
  it
• 4:38
  and
• 4:38
  you
• 4:39
  had
• 4:39
  to
• 4:39
  throw
• 4:39
  it
• 4:39
  away
• 4:41
  because
• 4:41
  it
• 4:41
  wasn't
• 4:42
  going
• 4:42
  to
• 4:42
  work.
• 4:42
  Yeah.
• 4:43
  You
• 4:43
  know,
• 4:43
  so.
• 4:43
  And
• 4:44
  here's
• 4:44
  the
• 4:44
  thing
• 4:44
  that
• 4:44
  I
• 4:45
  think
• 4:45
  that
• 4:45
  people
• 4:46
  miss
• 4:46
  when
• 4:46
  it
• 4:46
  comes
• 4:46
  to
• 4:47
  design.
• 4:48
  When
• 4:48
  you're
• 4:48
  looking
• 4:48
  at
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  price
• 4:49
  of
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  cabinet,
• 4:50
  let's
• 4:50
  say
• 4:50
  we're
• 4:50
  looking
• 4:51
  at
• 4:51
  that
• 4:51
  18
• 4:52
  inch
• 4:52
  4
• 4:52
  drawer
• 4:53
  kitchen
• 4:54
  cabinet.
• 4:54
  Right.
• 4:54
  When
• 4:55
  you're
• 4:55
  looking
• 4:55
  at
• 4:55
  that
• 4:56
  is
• 4:56
  twice
• 4:56
  the
• 4:56
  price
• 4:57
  of
• 4:57
  a
• 4:57
  traditional
• 4:58
  base
• 4:58
  cabinet
• 4:59
  that
• 4:59
  had
• 4:59
  a
• 4:59
  drawer
• 5:00
  and
• 5:00
  a
• 5:00
  door.
• 5:01
  And
• 5:01
  so
• 5:01
  many
• 5:01
  times
• 5:02
  builders
• 5:03
  in
• 5:03
  the
• 5:03
  day,
• 5:03
  or
• 5:04
  even
• 5:04
  the
• 5:04
  remodeler
• 5:05
  before
• 5:05
  that
• 5:05
  copied
• 5:05
  the
• 5:05
  old
• 5:06
  design,
• 5:07
  based
• 5:07
  it
• 5:07
  upon.
• 5:07
  Drawers
• 5:08
  are
• 5:08
  expensive.
• 5:09
  You
• 5:10
  know,
• 5:10
  we.
• 5:10
  We
• 5:11
  don't
• 5:11
  want
• 5:11
  to
• 5:11
  put
• 5:11
  a
• 5:11
  lot
• 5:11
  of
• 5:11
  them
• 5:12
  in
• 5:12
  there
• 5:12
  because
• 5:12
  that
• 5:12
  just
• 5:12
  makes
• 5:12
  it
• 5:13
  more
• 5:13
  expensive.
• 5:13
  And
• 5:14
  these
• 5:14
  days
• 5:15
  drawers
• 5:15
  are
• 5:15
  just
• 5:16
  more
• 5:16
  efficient.
• 5:16
  And
• 5:17
  I
• 5:17
  would
• 5:17
  rather
• 5:17
  have
• 5:17
  a
• 5:17
  drawer
• 5:18
  than
• 5:19
  two
• 5:19
  doors
• 5:20
  and
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  pullout
• 5:20
  even,
• 5:20
  because
• 5:21
  that's.
• 5:22
  Yeah.
• 5:22
  Open
• 5:23
  one
• 5:23
  door,
• 5:23
  pull
• 5:24
  out
• 5:24
  the
• 5:24
  pull
• 5:24
  out.
• 5:24
  I'd
• 5:25
  much,
• 5:25
  much
• 5:25
  rather
• 5:26
  just
• 5:26
  grab
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  drawer
• 5:26
  and
• 5:26
  pull
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  out
• 5:27
  and
• 5:27
  have
• 5:27
  all
• 5:27
  those
• 5:28
  extra
• 5:28
  moves
• 5:29
  and
• 5:29
  things
• 5:29
  just
• 5:30
  out
• 5:30
  of
• 5:30
  the
• 5:30
  way.
• 5:30
  Yeah.
• 5:31
  This
• 5:31
  is
• 5:32
  a
• 5:32
  cleaner
• 5:32
  setup
• 5:33
  too
• 5:33
  for.
• 5:34
  Right.
• 5:34
  For
• 5:34
  the
• 5:34
  items
• 5:35
  we're
• 5:35
  talking
• 5:35
  about.
• 5:35
  There's
• 5:35
  so
• 5:36
  many
• 5:36
  different
• 5:37
  collections.
• 5:38
  Right.
• 5:38
  You
• 5:38
  bring
• 5:39
  up
• 5:39
  williamsonoma.
• 5:40
  Okay,
• 5:40
  look,
• 5:41
  that
• 5:41
  stuff
• 5:42
  goes
• 5:42
  in
• 5:42
  this
• 5:43
  drawer
• 5:43
  instead
• 5:44
  of
• 5:44
  a
• 5:44
  mix
• 5:45
  of
• 5:45
  things
• 5:45
  across
• 5:46
  two
• 5:46
  cabinets.
• 5:47
  Right.
• 5:47
  Or
• 5:47
  two
• 5:48
  doors.
• 5:49
  You
• 5:49
  got
• 5:49
  your
• 5:50
  matching
• 5:50
  custom
• 5:51
  color
• 5:51
  Le
• 5:52
  Creuset
• 5:52
  32
• 5:53
  piece
• 5:53
  set
• 5:54
  that
• 5:54
  weighs
• 5:54
  400
• 5:55
  pounds
• 5:55
  in
• 5:55
  there.
• 5:55
  And
• 5:56
  a
• 5:56
  kitchen's
• 5:56
  a
• 5:57
  personal
• 5:57
  thing.
• 5:57
  Right.
• 5:58
  So
• 5:58
  we
• 5:59
  say
• 5:59
  this
• 5:59
  stuff,
• 5:59
  but
• 6:01
  I'm
• 6:02
  not
• 6:02
  allowed
• 6:02
  in
• 6:02
  the
• 6:02
  kitchen.
• 6:03
  Let
• 6:03
  me
• 6:03
  just
• 6:03
  say
• 6:04
  that.
• 6:04
  So
• 6:07
  I
• 6:07
  had
• 6:07
  you
• 6:07
  As
• 6:07
  a
• 6:08
  designer
• 6:08
  telling
• 6:09
  me,
• 6:09
  no,
• 6:09
  you
• 6:09
  can't
• 6:10
  do
• 6:10
  that.
• 6:10
  No,
• 6:10
  that's
• 6:10
  a
• 6:11
  bad
• 6:11
  idea.
• 6:12
  And
• 6:13
  as
• 6:13
  far
• 6:13
  as
• 6:14
  me
• 6:14
  functioning
• 6:15
  in
• 6:15
  the
• 6:15
  kitchen
• 6:16
  doesn't
• 6:17
  happen.
• 6:18
  So
• 6:18
  I'm
• 6:18
  probably
• 6:19
  not
• 6:19
  a
• 6:19
  good
• 6:19
  judge.
• 6:20
  Boy,
• 6:20
  I'd
• 6:20
  sure
• 6:21
  love
• 6:21
  xyz.
• 6:23
  Yeah.
• 6:23
  I
• 6:24
  could
• 6:24
  tell
• 6:24
  you
• 6:24
  how
• 6:24
  to
• 6:24
  install
• 6:25
  them
• 6:25
  and
• 6:25
  what
• 6:26
  I
• 6:26
  like
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  build
• 6:26
  and
• 6:26
  what
• 6:27
  I
• 6:27
  like
• 6:27
  to
• 6:27
  work
• 6:27
  on
• 6:27
  and
• 6:27
  what
• 6:28
  I
• 6:28
  think
• 6:28
  looks
• 6:28
  pretty.
• 6:29
  But
• 6:29
  as
• 6:29
  far
• 6:30
  as
• 6:30
  functionality
• 6:30
  and
• 6:31
  use,
• 6:31
  I'm
• 6:31
  out
• 6:31
  of
• 6:31
  the
• 6:31
  loop.
• 6:33
  What's
• 6:33
  funny
• 6:33
  too,
• 6:34
  man,
• 6:34
  is
• 6:34
  that
• 6:34
  that
• 6:35
  there's
• 6:35
  some
• 6:35
  accessories
• 6:36
  out
• 6:36
  there
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  people
• 6:38
  now
• 6:38
  it's.
• 6:39
  It
• 6:39
  used
• 6:39
  to
• 6:39
  be
• 6:39
  magazines,
• 6:40
  now
• 6:40
  it's
• 6:40
  Pinterest
• 6:41
  and
• 6:41
  they
• 6:41
  save
• 6:42
  their
• 6:42
  Pinterest
• 6:42
  stuff
• 6:43
  or
• 6:43
  whatever.
• 6:44
  And
• 6:45
  some
• 6:45
  of
• 6:45
  those
• 6:45
  accessories
• 6:46
  have
• 6:46
  not
• 6:46
  stood
• 6:47
  the
• 6:47
  test
• 6:47
  of
• 6:47
  time.
• 6:48
  Like
• 6:48
  the
• 6:48
  tilt
• 6:49
  out
• 6:49
  drawer
• 6:49
  front
• 6:49
  always
• 6:50
  runs
• 6:50
  into
• 6:50
  the
• 6:50
  sink.
• 6:51
  It
• 6:51
  never
• 6:52
  works.
• 6:52
  And
• 6:52
  so
• 6:53
  there
• 6:53
  was
• 6:53
  a
• 6:53
  lot
• 6:53
  of
• 6:53
  that
• 6:53
  stuff
• 6:54
  that
• 6:54
  you
• 6:54
  would
• 6:54
  have
• 6:54
  to.
• 6:55
  You'd
• 6:55
  sell
• 6:55
  20
• 6:56
  of
• 6:56
  them
• 6:56
  and
• 6:56
  then
• 6:57
  people
• 6:57
  would
• 6:57
  come
• 6:57
  back
• 6:57
  and
• 6:58
  say,
• 6:58
  Johnny,
• 6:58
  can
• 6:59
  you
• 6:59
  take
• 6:59
  that,
• 6:59
  pull
• 6:59
  out,
• 6:59
  out
• 7:00
  that
• 7:01
  tip
• 7:01
  down
• 7:01
  sink
• 7:01
  tray?
• 7:02
  It
• 7:02
  doesn't
• 7:02
  work.
• 7:03
  Yeah.
• 7:03
  And
• 7:04
  makes
• 7:04
  no
• 7:04
  sense.
• 7:04
  They
• 7:05
  broke
• 7:05
  a
• 7:05
  lot
• 7:07
  to
• 7:07
  that
• 7:08
  too.
• 7:09
  So
• 7:10
  that's
• 7:10
  the
• 7:10
  first
• 7:10
  one
• 7:11
  on
• 7:11
  our
• 7:11
  top
• 7:11
  list
• 7:12
  of
• 7:12
  10
• 7:12
  here.
• 7:12
  The
• 7:12
  next
• 7:13
  one
• 7:14
  is
• 7:14
  one
• 7:14
  that
• 7:15
  if
• 7:15
  you're
• 7:15
  on
• 7:15
  a
• 7:15
  budget,
• 7:16
  you
• 7:16
  can
• 7:16
  do
• 7:16
  it.
• 7:16
  But
• 7:17
  really,
• 7:17
  if
• 7:17
  you're
• 7:18
  going
• 7:18
  to
• 7:18
  go
• 7:18
  out
• 7:18
  and
• 7:18
  do
• 7:18
  it
• 7:18
  right,
• 7:20
  buying
• 7:20
  different
• 7:20
  brands
• 7:21
  of
• 7:21
  appliances
• 7:22
  that
• 7:22
  don't
• 7:22
  match
• 7:23
  is
• 7:23
  a
• 7:23
  big
• 7:23
  mistake
• 7:24
  because
• 7:26
  it's
• 7:26
  not
• 7:26
  just
• 7:26
  the
• 7:27
  white
• 7:27
  appliances
• 7:28
  that
• 7:28
  we
• 7:29
  had
• 7:29
  in
• 7:29
  the
• 7:29
  70s
• 7:30
  that
• 7:30
  was
• 7:30
  just.
• 7:30
  It
• 7:31
  didn't
• 7:31
  matter
• 7:31
  if
• 7:31
  they
• 7:31
  didn't
• 7:32
  match.
• 7:32
  Nowadays
• 7:33
  the
• 7:34
  handles
• 7:34
  match,
• 7:34
  the
• 7:35
  stainless
• 7:35
  steel
• 7:36
  has
• 7:36
  to
• 7:36
  match
• 7:37
  all
• 7:37
  the
• 7:37
  different
• 7:38
  things.
• 7:38
  And
• 7:39
  if
• 7:39
  you
• 7:39
  buy
• 7:40
  the
• 7:40
  Samsung
• 7:40
  range
• 7:41
  and
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  LG
• 7:42
  fridge.
• 7:42
  Yeah,
• 7:43
  they
• 7:43
  don't
• 7:44
  look
• 7:44
  right.
• 7:44
  It
• 7:44
  looks
• 7:45
  haphazard.
• 7:45
  Different
• 7:46
  stainless,
• 7:48
  right?
• 7:48
  Yep.
• 7:49
  And
• 7:50
  then
• 7:50
  some
• 7:50
  companies
• 7:50
  have
• 7:51
  their
• 7:51
  no
• 7:51
  touch
• 7:51
  stainless,
• 7:52
  which
• 7:52
  is
• 7:52
  a
• 7:53
  gray,
• 7:53
  not
• 7:53
  a
• 7:54
  stainless,
• 7:54
  it's
• 7:54
  a
• 7:55
  painted
• 7:55
  finish
• 7:56
  or
• 7:56
  whatever.
• 7:57
  Is
• 7:57
  it
• 7:57
  even
• 7:57
  really
• 7:58
  stainless?
• 7:59
  I
• 8:00
  don't
• 8:00
  know.
• 8:00
  That's
• 8:00
  what
• 8:00
  they
• 8:01
  call
• 8:01
  it.
• 8:01
  So
• 8:01
  I'll
• 8:01
  go
• 8:01
  with
• 8:02
  it.
• 8:02
  That's
• 8:03
  what
• 8:03
  they
• 8:03
  call
• 8:03
  it.
• 8:03
  The
• 8:03
  point
• 8:04
  being
• 8:04
  is
• 8:04
  there's
• 8:05
  so
• 8:05
  many
• 8:05
  shades
• 8:06
  to
• 8:06
  each
• 8:06
  of
• 8:07
  those.
• 8:07
  And
• 8:07
  yeah,
• 8:08
  if
• 8:08
  you
• 8:08
  don't
• 8:08
  stick
• 8:09
  to
• 8:09
  the
• 8:09
  same
• 8:09
  one,
• 8:09
  you're
• 8:10
  gonna
• 8:10
  end
• 8:10
  up
• 8:10
  with
• 8:11
  a.
• 8:11
  I
• 8:11
  thought
• 8:12
  that
• 8:12
  it
• 8:12
  looked
• 8:12
  gray
• 8:12
  in
• 8:13
  the
• 8:13
  store.
• 8:13
  Yeah,
• 8:13
  no,
• 8:14
  it's
• 8:15
  different.
• 8:16
  And
• 8:17
  now
• 8:17
  with
• 8:17
  smart
• 8:17
  home
• 8:18
  appliances,
• 8:18
  it's
• 8:18
  even
• 8:19
  more
• 8:19
  because
• 8:19
  the
• 8:19
  refrigerator
• 8:20
  and
• 8:20
  the
• 8:20
  dishwasher
• 8:21
  and
• 8:21
  the
• 8:21
  range
• 8:22
  and
• 8:22
  the
• 8:22
  microwave
• 8:22
  are
• 8:22
  talking
• 8:23
  together
• 8:23
  within
• 8:23
  their
• 8:23
  system.
• 8:24
  This
• 8:24
  is
• 8:24
  so
• 8:24
  crazy.
• 8:25
  That
• 8:25
  frightens
• 8:25
  me.
• 8:26
  But
• 8:26
  yes,
• 8:26
  it's
• 8:26
  true.
• 8:28
  The
• 8:29
  things
• 8:29
  that
• 8:29
  make
• 8:29
  a
• 8:30
  difference
• 8:30
  though,
• 8:30
  when
• 8:30
  you're
• 8:31
  talking
• 8:31
  smart
• 8:31
  appliances,
• 8:32
  though,
• 8:32
  it's
• 8:32
  nice
• 8:32
  to
• 8:33
  go,
• 8:33
  hey,
• 8:33
  we're
• 8:34
  having
• 8:34
  people
• 8:34
  over
• 8:34
  tonight.
• 8:35
  I
• 8:35
  better
• 8:35
  jump
• 8:35
  on
• 8:35
  my
• 8:36
  phone
• 8:36
  and
• 8:36
  turn
• 8:36
  on
• 8:36
  the
• 8:37
  extra
• 8:37
  ice
• 8:37
  to
• 8:37
  make
• 8:38
  extra
• 8:38
  ice
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  make
• 8:39
  sure
• 8:39
  that's
• 8:40
  going
• 8:40
  and
• 8:41
  all
• 8:41
  of
• 8:41
  those
• 8:41
  different
• 8:41
  things
• 8:42
  that
• 8:42
  you
• 8:42
  can
• 8:42
  do.
• 8:43
  Smart
• 8:44
  appliances.
• 8:44
  I
• 8:45
  love
• 8:45
  it
• 8:45
  when
• 8:45
  the
• 8:45
  laundry's
• 8:46
  done
• 8:46
  and
• 8:46
  it
• 8:46
  sends
• 8:47
  me
• 8:47
  a
• 8:47
  thing
• 8:47
  on
• 8:47
  my
• 8:47
  phone.
• 8:48
  I
• 8:48
  don't
• 8:48
  have
• 8:48
  to
• 8:48
  keep
• 8:48
  going
• 8:48
  in,
• 8:49
  going.
• 8:49
  Is
• 8:49
  the
• 8:49
  dryer
• 8:49
  done?
• 8:49
  Is
• 8:50
  the
• 8:50
  dryer
• 8:50
  done?
• 8:50
  Is
• 8:51
  the
• 8:51
  dryer
• 8:51
  done?
• 8:52
  It
• 8:52
  saves
• 8:53
  time.
• 8:54
  It
• 8:54
  saves
• 8:55
  time.
• 8:56
  So
• 8:56
  I
• 8:56
  think
• 8:57
  those
• 8:57
  things
• 8:57
  are
• 8:57
  cool.
• 8:58
  You're
• 8:58
  seeing
• 8:58
  now
• 8:58
  that
• 8:59
  for
• 8:59
  people
• 8:59
  that
• 9:00
  can't
• 9:00
  cook,
• 9:00
  like
• 9:00
  you,
• 9:01
  Johnny,
• 9:01
  for
• 9:01
  instance,
• 9:02
  you
• 9:02
  can
• 9:02
  go
• 9:02
  in
• 9:03
  and
• 9:04
  look
• 9:04
  at
• 9:04
  the
• 9:04
  directions
• 9:05
  and
• 9:05
  go,
• 9:05
  okay.
• 9:06
  And
• 9:07
  literally
• 9:08
  punch
• 9:08
  in
• 9:08
  on
• 9:09
  the
• 9:09
  touch
• 9:09
  screen
• 9:10
  on
• 9:10
  the
• 9:10
  range.
• 9:11
  Okay,
• 9:12
  I'm
• 9:12
  cooking
• 9:12
  this.
• 9:12
  And
• 9:12
  it'll
• 9:13
  say,
• 9:13
  oh,
• 9:13
  the
• 9:13
  best
• 9:13
  way
• 9:14
  to
• 9:14
  cook
• 9:14
  that
• 9:14
  in
• 9:14
  this
• 9:14
  oven
• 9:15
  is
• 9:15
  this.
• 9:15
  It'll
• 9:15
  set
• 9:16
  the
• 9:16
  temperature
• 9:16
  and
• 9:16
  tell
• 9:16
  you
• 9:17
  the
• 9:17
  time.
• 9:17
  And
• 9:17
  then
• 9:18
  you
• 9:18
  can
• 9:18
  throw
• 9:18
  the
• 9:18
  box
• 9:18
  of
• 9:18
  Stouffers
• 9:19
  in
• 9:19
  there
• 9:19
  and
• 9:19
  have
• 9:19
  yourself
• 9:20
  some
• 9:20
  lasagna.
• 9:20
  I
• 9:20
  go
• 9:20
  to
• 9:21
  my
• 9:21
  phone,
• 9:21
  dude,
• 9:21
  and
• 9:22
  I
• 9:22
  say,
• 9:22
  deliver
• 9:22
  me
• 9:23
  a
• 9:23
  burrito.
• 9:25
  There
• 9:25
  you
• 9:25
  go.
• 9:25
  It's
• 9:26
  game
• 9:26
  over.
• 9:27
  There
• 9:28
  you
• 9:28
  go.
• 9:28
  That
• 9:29
  works.
• 9:29
  If
• 9:29
  I'm
• 9:29
  feeling
• 9:30
  frisky,
• 9:30
  all
• 9:30
  order
• 9:31
  Chinese.
• 9:32
  Oh,
• 9:33
  can
• 9:33
  you
• 9:34
  get
• 9:34
  Chinese
• 9:34
  in
• 9:35
  Colombia?
• 9:35
  Oh,
• 9:35
  yeah,
• 9:36
  yeah.
• 9:36
  There's
• 9:36
  some
• 9:37
  good
• 9:37
  ones.
• 9:37
  It's
• 9:38
  hit
• 9:38
  and
• 9:38
  miss,
• 9:39
  right?
• 9:39
  But
• 9:39
  okay.
• 9:40
  But
• 9:40
  is.
• 9:40
  Yeah,
• 9:41
  Thai
• 9:42
  is
• 9:42
  a
• 9:42
  little
• 9:42
  harder
• 9:43
  to
• 9:43
  find.
• 9:43
  There's
• 9:43
  a
• 9:43
  lot
• 9:43
  of
• 9:44
  Vietnamese,
• 9:44
  a
• 9:45
  lot
• 9:45
  of
• 9:45
  sushi.
• 9:46
  It's
• 9:46
  normal.
• 9:47
  We're
• 9:47
  normal
• 9:48
  down
• 9:48
  here,
• 9:48
  dude.
• 9:48
  It's
• 9:49
  pretty
• 9:49
  metropolitan.
• 9:51
  I
• 9:51
  didn't
• 9:51
  know.
• 9:51
  I
• 9:52
  haven't
• 9:52
  been
• 9:52
  down
• 9:52
  there
• 9:52
  yet.
• 9:53
  So
• 9:53
  it's
• 9:53
  one
• 9:53
  of
• 9:53
  those
• 9:53
  things
• 9:54
  that.
• 9:54
  That
• 9:54
  you
• 9:55
  go,
• 9:55
  okay,
• 9:55
  it's
• 9:56
  20
• 9:56
  years
• 9:56
  ago
• 9:56
  when
• 9:56
  you'd
• 9:57
  get
• 9:57
  Thai
• 9:57
  food
• 9:57
  in
• 9:57
  the
• 9:57
  Pacific
• 9:58
  Northwest.
• 9:58
  It
• 9:58
  was
• 9:59
  hit
• 9:59
  and
• 9:59
  miss
• 9:59
  back
• 9:59
  then,
• 9:59
  too.
• 10:01
  Yeah.
• 10:01
  Ty
• 10:02
  is
• 10:02
  probably
• 10:02
  the
• 10:02
  hardest
• 10:03
  to
• 10:03
  find
• 10:03
  down
• 10:03
  here,
• 10:03
  and
• 10:04
  that
• 10:04
  bums
• 10:04
  me
• 10:04
  out
• 10:04
  because
• 10:04
  I
• 10:05
  love
• 10:05
  it.
• 10:05
  And
• 10:05
  then
• 10:06
  you
• 10:06
  go
• 10:06
  to
• 10:06
  Tacoma
• 10:06
  and
• 10:07
  go
• 10:07
  to
• 10:07
  Indochine
• 10:08
  and
• 10:08
  let
• 10:08
  it
• 10:08
  ruin
• 10:08
  you.
• 10:09
  Oh,
• 10:09
  yeah,
• 10:09
  because
• 10:09
  it's
• 10:10
  so
• 10:10
  good.
• 10:11
  Wow.
• 10:12
  Man.
• 10:12
  I
• 10:12
  hadn't
• 10:12
  thought
• 10:12
  of
• 10:12
  that
• 10:13
  place
• 10:13
  in
• 10:13
  a
• 10:13
  while.
• 10:13
  Thanks
• 10:13
  for
• 10:14
  ruining
• 10:14
  it.
• 10:15
  Right?
• 10:16
  That
• 10:16
  place
• 10:16
  is
• 10:16
  so
• 10:17
  good.
• 10:18
  So
• 10:18
  good.
• 10:19
  So
• 10:19
  that's
• 10:19
  another
• 10:20
  one.
• 10:20
  When
• 10:20
  we
• 10:20
  come
• 10:20
  back
• 10:21
  here,
• 10:22
  I'm
• 10:22
  going
• 10:22
  to
• 10:22
  talk
• 10:22
  about
• 10:23
  probably
• 10:23
  the
• 10:23
  most
• 10:23
  expensive
• 10:24
  mistake
• 10:25
  you
• 10:25
  can
• 10:25
  make.
• 10:25
  And
• 10:26
  if
• 10:26
  you
• 10:26
  want
• 10:26
  to
• 10:26
  find

• 10:28
  you
• 10:28

• 10:28
  to
• 10:28
  get

  this,

• 12:58
  Johnny
• 12:58
  and
• 12:58
  I
• 12:59
  are
• 12:59
  sitting
• 12:59
  here
• 12:59
  talking
• 12:59
  about
• 13:00
  those
• 13:01
  top
• 13:01
  10
• 13:02
  mistakes
• 13:02
  or
• 13:02
  pitfalls
• 13:03
  you
• 13:03
  can
• 13:03
  make
• 13:04
  when
• 13:04
  planning
• 13:04
  and
• 13:05
  designing
• 13:05
  and
• 13:05
  installing
• 13:06
  that
• 13:06
  new
• 13:06
  kitchen.
• 13:07
  And
• 13:07
  I
• 13:08
  think
• 13:08
  the
• 13:08
  most
• 13:08
  expensive
• 13:09
  one
• 13:09
  here
• 13:10
  is
• 13:10
  this
• 13:11
  one.
• 13:12
  Not
• 13:12
  hiring
• 13:12
  a
• 13:13
  kitchen
• 13:13
  designer
• 13:14
  to
• 13:14
  design
• 13:15
  out
• 13:15
  the
• 13:15
  kitchen.
• 13:15
  Maybe
• 13:16
  you
• 13:16
  go
• 13:17
  and
• 13:17
  grab
• 13:17
  your
• 13:18
  pad
• 13:18
  of
• 13:18
  paper
• 13:19
  or
• 13:19
  you
• 13:19
  jump
• 13:20
  on
• 13:20
  and
• 13:20
  try
• 13:20
  to
• 13:20
  have
• 13:20
  AI
• 13:21
  do
• 13:21
  it
• 13:21
  for
• 13:21
  you.
• 13:22
  This
• 13:22
  can
• 13:23
  get
• 13:23
  expensive
• 13:24
  when
• 13:24
  things
• 13:24
  don't
• 13:25
  fit.
• 13:25
  No
• 13:26
  bias
• 13:26
  coming
• 13:26
  from
• 13:27
  the
• 13:27
  certified
• 13:28
  kitchen
• 13:28
  design.
• 13:29
  But
• 13:30
  here's
• 13:30
  the
• 13:30
  thing.
• 13:31
  Even
• 13:31
  good
• 13:32
  designers
• 13:32
  make
• 13:33
  mistakes.
• 13:33
  Go
• 13:34
  to
• 13:34
  the
• 13:34
  countertops
• 13:35
  on
• 13:35
  this
• 13:35
  one.
• 13:35
  When
• 13:35
  you
• 13:35
  said
• 13:35
  most
• 13:36
  expensive.
• 13:36
  No,
• 13:37
  but
• 13:37
  go
• 13:37
  ahead.
• 13:38
  Yeah,
• 13:38
  that's
• 13:39
  the
• 13:39
  next
• 13:39
  one
• 13:39
  here,
• 13:39
  brother.
• 13:40
  This
• 13:40
  is
• 13:40
  one
• 13:41
  that
• 13:41
  I
• 13:41
  think
• 13:41
  is
• 13:41
  a
• 13:42
  huge
• 13:42
  mistake
• 13:42
  that
• 13:42
  people
• 13:42
  make
• 13:43
  because
• 13:44
  what
• 13:44
  they'll
• 13:44
  do
• 13:45
  is
• 13:45
  they
• 13:45
  go,
• 13:45
  okay,
• 13:46
  I'm
• 13:46
  going
• 13:46
  to
• 13:46
  go
• 13:46
  in
• 13:47
  and,
• 13:47
  oh,
• 13:47
  I'm
• 13:48
  just
• 13:48
  going
• 13:48
  to
• 13:48
  get
• 13:48
  a
• 13:48
  pad
• 13:48
  of
• 13:48
  paper,
• 13:49
  run
• 13:49
  down
• 13:49
  to
• 13:49
  my
• 13:49
  home
• 13:49
  improvement
• 13:50
  store
• 13:50
  or
• 13:51
  run
• 13:51
  down
• 13:51
  to
• 13:51
  the
• 13:52
  knockdown
• 13:52
  import
• 13:52
  shop
• 13:53
  and
• 13:53
  I'm
• 13:53
  going
• 13:53
  to
• 13:53
  get
• 13:54
  these
• 13:54
  cabinets
• 13:54
  off
• 13:55
  the
• 13:55
  shelf,
• 13:55
  put
• 13:55
  them
• 13:55
  together
• 13:56
  or
• 13:57
  whatever.
• 13:58
  And
• 13:58
  then
• 13:58
  don't
• 13:58
  realize
• 13:59
  you
• 13:59
  have
• 13:59
  to
• 13:59
  put
• 14:00
  fillers
• 14:00
  up
• 14:00
  against
• 14:01
  walls
• 14:01
  because
• 14:02
  the
• 14:02
  wall's
• 14:02
  not
• 14:02
  square
• 14:03
  or
• 14:04
  how
• 14:04
  come
• 14:04
  that
• 14:05
  corner
• 14:05
  cabinet
• 14:05
  doesn't
• 14:06
  fit.
• 14:06
  Yeah.
• 14:07
  And
• 14:07
  all
• 14:07
  of
• 14:07
  those
• 14:08
  things
• 14:08
  that
• 14:09
  you
• 14:09
  think
• 14:09
  about
• 14:09
  it,
• 14:09
  a
• 14:10
  kitchen
• 14:10
  designer,
• 14:10
  if
• 14:10
  they
• 14:10
  go
• 14:11
  to
• 14:11
  school,
• 14:11
  they
• 14:11
  go
• 14:11
  to
• 14:12
  college,
• 14:12
  for
• 14:12
  instance,
• 14:14
  and
• 14:15
  they
• 14:15
  take
• 14:15
  their
• 14:15
  four
• 14:16
  year
• 14:16
  design
• 14:16
  degree
• 14:17
  when
• 14:17
  they
• 14:17
  get
• 14:18
  out
• 14:18
  in
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  real
• 14:18
  world,
• 14:19
  it
• 14:19
  takes
• 14:19
  them
• 14:19
  a
• 14:20
  couple
• 14:20
  years
• 14:20
  to
• 14:20
  be
• 14:21
  really
• 14:21
  proficient,
• 14:22
  to
• 14:22
  be
• 14:23
  really
• 14:23
  good
• 14:23
  at
• 14:23
  what
• 14:23
  they
• 14:24
  do.
• 14:25
  And
• 14:25
  you
• 14:25
  as
• 14:25
  a
• 14:25
  homeowner
• 14:27
  have
• 14:27
  little
• 14:27
  or
• 14:27
  no
• 14:28
  hope
• 14:29
  to
• 14:29
  do
• 14:29
  that
• 14:29
  the
• 14:30
  first
• 14:30
  time
• 14:30
  around.
• 14:30
  It's
• 14:31
  going
• 14:31
  to
• 14:31
  be
• 14:31
  expensive
• 14:32
  when
• 14:32
  you
• 14:32
  have
• 14:32
  to
• 14:32
  go,
• 14:33
  oh,
• 14:33
  we're
• 14:34
  not
• 14:34
  going
• 14:34
  to
• 14:34
  give
• 14:34
  you
• 14:34
  your
• 14:34
  money
• 14:34
  back
• 14:34
  on
• 14:35
  this
• 14:35
  cabinet.
• 14:35
  So
• 14:35
  you
• 14:35
  got
• 14:35
  to
• 14:36
  order
• 14:36
  four
• 14:36
  more
• 14:37
  to
• 14:37
  make
• 14:37
  this
• 14:37
  work.
• 14:38
  Yeah,
• 14:38
  a
• 14:38
  designer
• 14:39
  would
• 14:39
  have
• 14:39
  been
• 14:39
  less
• 14:39
  expensive.
• 14:40
  Not
• 14:40
  to
• 14:40
  mention,
• 14:41
  you're
• 14:41
  going
• 14:41
  to
• 14:41
  leave
• 14:42
  out
• 14:42
  so
• 14:42
  much.
• 14:42
  Like
• 14:43
  you
• 14:43
  said,
• 14:43
  filler
• 14:43
  strips,
• 14:44
  scribe
• 14:45
  that.
• 14:45
  Right.
• 14:46
  The
• 14:46
  list
• 14:46
  goes
• 14:46
  on.
• 14:47
  Yeah,
• 14:48
  there's
• 14:49
  so
• 14:49
  many
• 14:49
  pieces
• 14:50
  to
• 14:51
  a
• 14:51
  good
• 14:52
  cabinet
• 14:52
  installed
• 14:53
  that
• 14:55
  generally
• 14:55
  speaking,
• 14:56
  90%
• 14:56
  of
• 14:57
  homeowners
• 14:57
  just
• 14:57
  aren't
• 14:58
  even
• 14:58
  aware
• 14:58
  of.
• 14:59
  Oh,
• 14:59
  that,
• 15:00
  oh,
• 15:00
  that's
• 15:01
  how
• 15:01
  you
• 15:01
  got,
• 15:02
  like
• 15:02
  you
• 15:02
  said,
• 15:02
  the,
• 15:03
  the
• 15:03
  corner
• 15:03
  lazy
• 15:04
  Susan
• 15:04
  to
• 15:04
  fit
• 15:04
  in
• 15:05
  there
• 15:05
  correctly.
• 15:05
  Well,
• 15:06
  that's
• 15:06
  because
• 15:07
  there's
• 15:07
  a
• 15:07
  filler
• 15:07
  strip
• 15:08
  six
• 15:08
  feet
• 15:08
  away
• 15:09
  from
• 15:09
  that
• 15:09
  makes
• 15:09
  that
• 15:09
  possible
• 15:10
  and
• 15:10
  makes
• 15:10
  it
• 15:10
  tie
• 15:11
  together
• 15:11
  with
• 15:12
  blah,
• 15:12
  blah,
• 15:12
  blah
• 15:12
  and
• 15:13
  line
• 15:13
  up
• 15:13
  with
• 15:13
  the
• 15:13
  uppers
• 15:14
  and
• 15:14
  that.
• 15:14
  Yeah,
• 15:14
  it's.
• 15:15
  Here's
• 15:16
  one
• 15:16
  of
• 15:16
  the
• 15:16
  best.
• 15:17
  Hates
• 15:18
  admitting
• 15:18
  that,
• 15:18
  but,
• 15:19
  you
• 15:19
  know,
• 15:19
  you
• 15:19
  won
• 15:20
  my
• 15:20
  heart
• 15:20
  decades
• 15:21
  ago.
• 15:21
  I'm
• 15:21
  like,
• 15:22
  okay,
• 15:22
  that.
• 15:23
  Yeah,
• 15:23
  there's
• 15:23
  a
• 15:23
  difference.
• 15:24
  Well,
• 15:25
  and
• 15:25
  Johnny,
• 15:25
  here's
• 15:25
  what
• 15:26
  can
• 15:26
  happen
• 15:26
  too.
• 15:26
  It's
• 15:27
  the
• 15:27
  knowledge.
• 15:27
  Right?
• 15:28
  Yeah.
• 15:28
  If
• 15:28
  you
• 15:29
  order
• 15:30
  plywood
• 15:31
  cabinetry
• 15:31
  boxes
• 15:32
  here,
• 15:32
  I'm
• 15:32
  going
• 15:32
  to
• 15:32
  pay
• 15:32
  a
• 15:32
  little
• 15:32
  more
• 15:33
  and
• 15:33
  get
• 15:33
  plywood.
• 15:34
  Plywood
• 15:34
  is
• 15:35
  not
• 15:35
  a
• 15:35
  consistent
• 15:36
  thickness.
• 15:37
  If
• 15:37
  you
• 15:37
  put
• 15:37
  a
• 15:38
  mic
• 15:38
  on
• 15:38
  it
• 15:38
  and
• 15:39
  get
• 15:39
  it.
• 15:40
  I
• 15:40
  have
• 15:40
  had
• 15:41
  custom
• 15:42
  cabinets
• 15:42
  made
• 15:43
  or
• 15:43
  even
• 15:43
  manufactured
• 15:44
  cabinets
• 15:44
  made
• 15:44
  out
• 15:45
  of
• 15:45
  plywood.
• 15:45
  And
• 15:46
  if
• 15:46
  that
• 15:46
  plywood
• 15:47
  is
• 15:48
  maybe
• 15:48
  a
• 15:49
  16th
• 15:50
  thicker
• 15:50
  or
• 15:50
  thinner
• 15:52
  per
• 15:52
  panel.
• 15:53
  Yeah.
• 15:54
  That
• 15:54
  adds
• 15:54
  up
• 15:55
  on
• 15:55
  a
• 15:55
  10,
• 15:56
  12,
• 15:56
  14
• 15:57
  foot
• 15:57
  run.
• 15:57
  Yep.
• 15:58
  I
• 15:58
  have
• 15:58
  had
• 15:59
  it
• 15:59
  where
• 15:59
  just
• 15:59
  the
• 16:00
  veneer
• 16:00
  thickness
• 16:01
  throws
• 16:01
  it
• 16:02
  off
• 16:02
  three
• 16:02
  quarters
• 16:02
  of
• 16:02
  an
• 16:03
  inch
• 16:03
  down
• 16:04
  at
• 16:04
  the
• 16:04
  other.
• 16:04
  Side
• 16:04
  and
• 16:05
  it's
• 16:05
  hanging
• 16:05
  over
• 16:05
  the
• 16:06
  better.
• 16:06
  Have
• 16:06
  that
• 16:06
  under
• 16:07
  it's
• 16:07
  past
• 16:07
  your
• 16:07
  wall.
• 16:08
  By
• 16:08
  an
• 16:08
  inch
• 16:08
  by
• 16:09
  the
• 16:09
  time
• 16:09
  you
• 16:09
  get
• 16:09
  there.
• 16:11
  Why
• 16:11
  is
• 16:11
  this
• 16:12
  cabinetry
• 16:12
  in
• 16:12
  the
• 16:12
  hallway?
• 16:13
  That's
• 16:13
  not
• 16:13
  good.
• 16:14
  Nope.
• 16:15
  Or
• 16:16
  it's
• 16:16
  going
• 16:16
  between
• 16:16
  the
• 16:16
  two
• 16:17
  walls.
• 16:17
  Where's
• 16:18
  that?
• 16:19
  What
• 16:19
  are
• 16:19
  we
• 16:19
  going
• 16:19
  to
• 16:19
  do
• 16:19
  with
• 16:20
  that
• 16:20
  extra
• 16:20
  inch
• 16:20
  that
• 16:21
  needs
• 16:21
  to
• 16:21
  be
• 16:21
  in
• 16:21
  there.
• 16:21
  Yeah.
• 16:22
  Yeah.
• 16:23
  And
• 16:23
  so
• 16:24
  I've
• 16:24
  had
• 16:24
  to
• 16:24
  go
• 16:24
  both
• 16:25
  ways.
• 16:25
  I
• 16:25
  mean,
• 16:25
  I
• 16:25
  had
• 16:26
  one
• 16:26
  where
• 16:26
  I
• 16:26
  had.
• 16:27
  The
• 16:27
  client
• 16:27
  was
• 16:28
  so
• 16:28
  mad.
• 16:28
  I
• 16:29
  don't
• 16:29
  want
• 16:29
  these
• 16:29
  big
• 16:29
  three
• 16:29
  Inc.
• 16:30
  Fillers.
• 16:30
  They
• 16:31
  won't
• 16:31
  be
• 16:31
  there
• 16:31
  by
• 16:31
  the
• 16:32
  time
• 16:32
  we
• 16:32
  get
• 16:32
  done.
• 16:33
  And
• 16:33
  because
• 16:33
  it
• 16:34
  was
• 16:34
  an
• 16:34
  older
• 16:34
  house,
• 16:34
  by
• 16:35
  the
• 16:35
  time
• 16:35
  it
• 16:35
  was
• 16:35
  there,
• 16:36
  it
• 16:37
  was
• 16:37
  almost
• 16:37
  too
• 16:38
  close.
• 16:38
  We
• 16:38
  were
• 16:38
  almost
• 16:39
  shaving
• 16:39
  drywall
• 16:40
  to
• 16:40
  get
• 16:40
  it
• 16:40
  to
• 16:40
  fit
• 16:41
  in
• 16:41
  there.
• 16:41
  Yeah.
• 16:41
  And
• 16:42
  we
• 16:42
  lost
• 16:42
  two
• 16:43
  and
• 16:43
  a
• 16:43
  quarter
• 16:43
  inches
• 16:44
  out
• 16:44
  of
• 16:44
  that
• 16:44
  run
• 16:45
  because
• 16:45
  it
• 16:45
  was
• 16:46
  long.
• 16:46
  And
• 16:46
  that
• 16:47
  gets.
• 16:47
  That
• 16:48
  will
• 16:48
  bite
• 16:48
  you.
• 16:48
  And
• 16:49
  there's
• 16:49
  a
• 16:49
  thousand
• 16:50
  things
• 16:50
  like
• 16:51
  that
• 16:51
  you
• 16:51
  got
• 16:51
  to
• 16:51
  be
• 16:51
  careful
• 16:51
  with.
• 16:52
  Yeah.
• 16:53
  You
• 16:53
  just
• 16:54
  say
• 16:54
  shaving
• 16:54
  drywall.
• 16:55
  I'm
• 16:55
  like,
• 16:55
  I
• 16:55
  don't
• 16:55
  miss
• 16:56
  it
• 16:56
  that
• 16:56
  much.
• 16:57
  No,
• 16:58
  it's
• 16:58
  tough.
• 16:59
  And
• 16:59
  then
• 17:00
  you
• 17:00
  gotta
• 17:00
  get
• 17:00
  into
• 17:01
  all
• 17:01
  the
• 17:01
  building
• 17:02
  codes
• 17:02
  and
• 17:02
  stuff
• 17:03
  out
• 17:03
  there
• 17:03
  of
• 17:03
  somebody
• 17:04
  puts
• 17:04
  the
• 17:05
  range
• 17:05
  up
• 17:05
  against
• 17:05
  the
• 17:05
  wall
• 17:06
  and
• 17:06
  it's.
• 17:06
  Well,
• 17:06
  you
• 17:07
  need
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  have
• 17:07
  a.
• 17:08
  At
• 17:08
  least
• 17:08
  6
• 17:08
  inches
• 17:09
  there
• 17:09
  between
• 17:09
  the
• 17:09
  side
• 17:09
  of
• 17:10
  the
• 17:10
  cooking
• 17:10
  surface
• 17:10
  and
• 17:10
  the
• 17:11
  wall
• 17:11
  to
• 17:12
  not
• 17:12
  catch
• 17:13
  the
• 17:13
  wall
• 17:13
  on
• 17:13
  fire
• 17:14
  and
• 17:14
  all
• 17:15
  of
• 17:15
  those.
• 17:15
  I
• 17:15
  want
• 17:16
  a
• 17:16
  shelf
• 17:16
  to
• 17:16
  put
• 17:16
  my
• 17:17
  microwave
• 17:17
  on
• 17:17
  over
• 17:18
  the
• 17:18
  top
• 17:18
  of
• 17:18
  the
• 17:18
  stove.
• 17:18
  Well,
• 17:19
  no,
• 17:19
  you
• 17:19
  can't
• 17:19
  do
• 17:20
  that
• 17:20
  because
• 17:20
  that's
• 17:21
  a
• 17:21
  burning
• 17:21
  surface
• 17:22
  over
• 17:22
  the
• 17:22
  top
• 17:22
  of
• 17:22
  a
• 17:23
  cooking
• 17:23
  surface.
• 17:23
  So
• 17:24
  all
• 17:24
  these
• 17:25
  Things
• 17:25
  that,
• 17:25
  that
• 17:26
  you
• 17:26
  can
• 17:26
  save
• 17:26
  money
• 17:27
  on,
• 17:27
  that
• 17:28
  you
• 17:28
  just
• 17:28
  miss
• 17:28
  those
• 17:29
  critical
• 17:29
  things
• 17:30
  and
• 17:30
  that
• 17:31
  can
• 17:31
  get
• 17:31
  expensive.
• 17:31
  And
• 17:32
  look,
• 17:32
  a
• 17:32
  kitchen
• 17:33
  remodel
• 17:34
  period
• 17:35
  is
• 17:35
  already
• 17:35
  expensive.
• 17:37
  Don't
• 17:37
  make
• 17:37
  it
• 17:37
  worse
• 17:38
  on
• 17:38
  yourself.
• 17:39
  Yes.
• 17:40
  You
• 17:40
  know
• 17:40
  what
• 17:40
  I
• 17:40
  mean?
• 17:40
  That's
• 17:41
  like
• 17:41
  me
• 17:41
  saying
• 17:41
  I'm
• 17:42
  gonna
• 17:42
  build
• 17:42
  my
• 17:42
  own
• 17:42
  car.
• 17:43
  No,
• 17:43
  I'm
• 17:44
  not.
• 17:44
  In
• 17:44
  fact,
• 17:45
  I'm
• 17:45
  not
• 17:45
  even
• 17:45
  gonna
• 17:46
  do
• 17:46
  the
• 17:46
  brakes
• 17:46
  on
• 17:47
  my
• 17:47
  car.
• 17:47
  Like
• 17:48
  they're
• 17:49
  brakes
• 17:49
  and
• 17:49
  they
• 17:49
  stop
• 17:50
  you
• 17:50
  and
• 17:50
  save
• 17:50
  your
• 17:50
  life.
• 17:50
  I'll
• 17:51
  just
• 17:51
  stick
• 17:51
  to
• 17:51
  what
• 17:52
  you're
• 17:52
  good
• 17:52
  at.
• 17:52
  I
• 17:52
  don't
• 17:52
  know.
• 17:53
  I'll
• 17:53
  do
• 17:53
  my
• 17:53
  own
• 17:53
  brakes
• 17:53
  because
• 17:54
  I've
• 17:54
  done
• 17:54
  them
• 17:54
  enough
• 17:54
  that.
• 17:55
  So
• 17:55
  have
• 17:55
  I.
• 17:55
  That's
• 17:55
  why
• 17:56
  I
• 17:56
  don't
• 17:56
  do
• 17:56
  them
• 17:56
  now.
• 17:57
  Yeah,
• 17:57
  there
• 17:57
  we
• 17:58
  go.
• 17:58
  There
• 17:58
  we
• 17:58
  go.
• 17:59
  When
• 17:59
  you
• 17:59
  think
• 17:59
  about
• 18:00
  it
• 18:00
  with
• 18:00
  the
• 18:00
  kitchen
• 18:00
  like
• 18:01
  that,
• 18:01
  it's
• 18:01
  just
• 18:02
  there's
• 18:02
  so
• 18:03
  many
• 18:03
  things
• 18:03
  that
• 18:03
  can
• 18:04
  go
• 18:04
  sideways
• 18:04
  and
• 18:05
  it
• 18:05
  hurts
• 18:05
  your
• 18:05
  schedule
• 18:06
  as
• 18:06
  well
• 18:06
  if
• 18:06
  you
• 18:07
  have
• 18:07
  to
• 18:07
  wait
• 18:07
  six
• 18:07
  more
• 18:08
  weeks
• 18:08
  for
• 18:08
  new
• 18:08
  cabinets.
• 18:09
  Yeah.
• 18:09
  That's
• 18:09
  a
• 18:10
  big
• 18:10
  issue
• 18:10
  with
• 18:11
  kitchen.
• 18:11
  Well,
• 18:12
  with
• 18:12
  cabinetry.
• 18:12
  Right.
• 18:13
  One
• 18:13
  glitch,
• 18:14
  one
• 18:14
  mistake,
• 18:15
  one
• 18:15
  manufacturer
• 18:16
  malfunction,
• 18:17
  whatever
• 18:17
  it
• 18:17
  is.
• 18:18
  Yeah.
• 18:18
  It's
• 18:18
  not
• 18:19
  run
• 18:19
  down
• 18:19
  and
• 18:19
  grab
• 18:19
  another
• 18:20
  piece.
• 18:20
  It's.
• 18:21
  You're
• 18:21
  waiting
• 18:21
  six
• 18:22
  or
• 18:22
  eight
• 18:22
  weeks,
• 18:22
  depending.
• 18:23
  And
• 18:23
  that's
• 18:24
  brutal.
• 18:25
  And
• 18:25
  my
• 18:25
  favorite
• 18:25
  one,
• 18:26
  the
• 18:26
  drawer
• 18:26
  that
• 18:27
  opens
• 18:27
  into
• 18:27
  the
• 18:27
  side
• 18:27
  of
• 18:28
  the
• 18:28
  appliance.
• 18:28
  It
• 18:28
  only
• 18:28
  opens
• 18:29
  an
• 18:29
  inch.
• 18:30
  That's
• 18:30
  another
• 18:31
  one.
• 18:31
  I
• 18:32
  don't
• 18:32
  miss
• 18:32
  it.
• 18:33
  I
• 18:33
  don't
• 18:33
  miss
• 18:33
  it
• 18:33
  either.
• 18:34
  And
• 18:34
  that's
• 18:34
  the
• 18:35
  thing.
• 18:35
  That's
• 18:35
  it.
• 18:36
  That's
• 18:36
  number
• 18:36
  three
• 18:36
  on
• 18:37
  this
• 18:37
  list.
• 18:37
  Now
• 18:37
  the
• 18:38
  next
• 18:38
  one
• 18:38
  here,
• 18:39
  I'm
• 18:39
  gonna.
• 18:39
  I'm
• 18:40
  gonna
• 18:40
  fire
• 18:40
  you
• 18:40
  up
• 18:41
  here.
• 18:41
  Refacing
• 18:43
  instead
• 18:43
  of
• 18:43
  a
• 18:43
  full
• 18:44
  remodel.
• 18:44
  No.
• 18:45
  Might
• 18:45
  as
• 18:45
  well
• 18:45
  burn
• 18:45
  it
• 18:45
  down.
• 18:46
  Yeah.
• 18:47
  I
• 18:47
  am
• 18:47
  not.
• 18:49
  I
• 18:49
  am
• 18:49
  not
• 18:50
  a
• 18:50
  kitchen
• 18:50
  refacing
• 18:51
  person.
• 18:52
  Yeah.
• 18:53
  I
• 18:53
  can't
• 18:53
  even
• 18:54
  rant.
• 18:54
  There's
• 18:55
  just
• 18:55
  not.
• 18:55
  Words.
• 18:56
  Yes.
• 18:57
  Man.
• 18:57
  You
• 18:58
  are
• 18:58
  not
• 18:58
  saving
• 18:59
  money.
• 19:00
  I
• 19:00
  don't
• 19:00
  know
• 19:00
  how
• 19:00
  to
• 19:00
  be,
• 19:00
  like,
• 19:01
  gentle
• 19:01
  about
• 19:02
  this.
• 19:02
  You're
• 19:02
  not
• 19:02
  saving
• 19:03
  money
• 19:03
  and
• 19:03
  it's
• 19:03
  not
• 19:03
  going
• 19:03
  to
• 19:04
  look
• 19:04
  good,
• 19:04
  so
• 19:04
  don't
• 19:04
  do
• 19:04
  it.
• 19:05
  That's
• 19:05
  all
• 19:05
  I
• 19:05
  really
• 19:06
  can
• 19:06
  say.
• 19:06
  Yeah.
• 19:07
  And
• 19:08
  then,
• 19:08
  then
• 19:09
  the
• 19:09
  other
• 19:09
  fatal
• 19:09
  mistake
• 19:10
  people
• 19:10
  make,
• 19:10
  and
• 19:10
  you
• 19:10
  and
• 19:11
  I
• 19:11
  talked
• 19:11
  about
• 19:11
  this
• 19:11
  earlier,
• 19:12
  but
• 19:13
  taking
• 19:13
  that
• 19:13
  30
• 19:14
  year
• 19:14
  old
• 19:14
  kitchen,
• 19:14
  pulling
• 19:15
  off
• 19:15
  the
• 19:15
  tile
• 19:16
  countertops
• 19:16
  and
• 19:17
  putting
• 19:17
  quartz
• 19:17
  back
• 19:18
  on
• 19:18
  it,
• 19:19
  because
• 19:19
  guess
• 19:20
  what,
• 19:20
  guys,
• 19:20
  when
• 19:20
  you
• 19:20
  go,
• 19:21
  oh,
• 19:21
  that
• 19:21
  looks
• 19:21
  beautiful,
• 19:22
  boy,
• 19:22
  I
• 19:22
  hate
• 19:23
  these
• 19:23
  cabinets.
• 19:24
  Now
• 19:24
  you're
• 19:25
  stuck
• 19:25
  refacing
• 19:25
  those
• 19:26
  cabinets
• 19:26
  because
• 19:26
  that
• 19:27
  quartz
• 19:27
  is
• 19:27
  probably
• 19:27
  going
• 19:27
  to
• 19:28
  have
• 19:28
  to
• 19:28
  be
• 19:28
  thrown
• 19:28
  away
• 19:29
  when
• 19:29
  they
• 19:29
  install
• 19:30
  that
• 19:30
  in
• 19:30
  silicone,
• 19:31
  those
• 19:31
  solid
• 19:32
  surfaces
• 19:32
  down,
• 19:33
  it's
• 19:33
  not
• 19:34
  coming
• 19:34
  back
• 19:34
  up
• 19:35
  because
• 19:35
  you've
• 19:35
  got
• 19:35
  holes
• 19:36
  cut
• 19:36
  for
• 19:36
  cooktops
• 19:37
  and
• 19:37
  sinks.
• 19:38
  Those
• 19:38
  break.
• 19:39
  They
• 19:39
  just
• 19:39
  do.
• 19:40
  You're
• 19:40
  going
• 19:40
  to
• 19:40
  be
• 19:41
  throwing.
• 19:41
  You're
• 19:41
  paying
• 19:41
  to
• 19:42
  throw
• 19:42
  that
• 19:42
  away.
• 19:42
  So
• 19:42
  you're
• 19:43
  literally
• 19:43
  going
• 19:43
  to
• 19:43
  be
• 19:43
  paying
• 19:44
  hundreds
• 19:44
  of
• 19:45
  dollars
• 19:45
  to
• 19:45
  put
• 19:45
  that
• 19:45
  in
• 19:45
  the
• 19:45
  dumpster
• 19:46
  to
• 19:46
  haul
• 19:47
  it
• 19:47
  to
• 19:47
  the
• 19:47
  landfill.
• 19:48
  And
• 19:49
  it's
• 19:50
  just
• 19:50
  garbage
• 19:50
  at
• 19:51
  that
• 19:51
  point.
• 19:51
  So
• 19:52
  my
• 19:52
  solution
• 19:53
  many
• 19:53
  times
• 19:54
  to
• 19:54
  people
• 19:54
  is
• 19:54
  when
• 19:54
  they
• 19:55
  go,
• 19:55
  oh,
• 19:55
  I'm
• 19:55
  thinking
• 19:55
  about
• 19:56
  putting
• 19:56
  the
• 19:56
  new
• 19:56
  countertops
• 19:57
  on,
• 19:57
  and
• 19:57
  then
• 19:57
  down
• 19:57
  the
• 19:58
  road,
• 19:58
  do
• 19:58
  the
• 19:58
  kitchen.
• 19:58
  It's,
• 19:59
  please
• 19:59
  save
• 20:00
  your
• 20:00
  money.
• 20:00
  Unless
• 20:01
  you
• 20:01
  just
• 20:01
  got
• 20:01
  money
• 20:02
  to
• 20:02
  burn,
• 20:02
  then
• 20:03
  go
• 20:03
  ahead.
• 20:04
  No
• 20:04
  one
• 20:04
  has
• 20:04
  money
• 20:04
  to
• 20:05
  burn,
• 20:05
  my
• 20:05
  friend.
• 20:06
  No
• 20:06
  one
• 20:06
  has
• 20:06
  money
• 20:06
  to
• 20:06
  burn.
• 20:07
  All
• 20:07
  people
• 20:07
  do.
• 20:08
  There's
• 20:08
  people
• 20:08
  out
• 20:08
  there,
• 20:09
  like,
• 20:09
  yeah,
• 20:10
  there
• 20:10
  are.
• 20:10
  Ah,
• 20:11
  let's
• 20:11
  just
• 20:11
  swap
• 20:11
  the
• 20:11
  countertops.
• 20:12
  I'll
• 20:12
  worry
• 20:12
  about
• 20:12
  the
• 20:12
  rest
• 20:13
  of
• 20:13
  it
• 20:13
  in
• 20:13
  three
• 20:13
  years.
• 20:14
  Okay.
• 20:15
  All
• 20:15
  right.
• 20:16
  I
• 20:16
  mean,
• 20:16
  that's
• 20:16
  something
• 20:16
  I
• 20:17
  do,
• 20:17
  to
• 20:17
  be
• 20:17
  honest.
• 20:18
  To
• 20:18
  be
• 20:18
  fair.
• 20:18
  And
• 20:18
  to
• 20:19
  be
• 20:19
  honest,
• 20:19
  I
• 20:20
  might
• 20:20
  go
• 20:20
  that
• 20:21
  road
• 20:21
  because
• 20:22
  I'm
• 20:22
  that
• 20:22
  well,
• 20:22
  but
• 20:23
  because
• 20:23
  I'm
• 20:23
  like,
• 20:24
  that's
• 20:24
  your.
• 20:24
  I
• 20:24
  don't
• 20:25
  care.
• 20:25
  I
• 20:25
  don't
• 20:25
  care.
• 20:26
  I'll
• 20:26
  deal
• 20:26
  with
• 20:26
  that
• 20:26
  in
• 20:26
  three
• 20:27
  years.
• 20:27
  Yeah,
• 20:28
  that's.
• 20:28
  But
• 20:28
  here's
• 20:28
  the
• 20:28
  thing.
• 20:28
  That's
• 20:29
  because
• 20:29
  you're
• 20:29
  doing
• 20:29
  the
• 20:29
  work,
• 20:29
  though,
• 20:30
  right?
• 20:30
  You're
• 20:30
  going.
• 20:31
  I'm
• 20:31
  going
• 20:31
  to
• 20:31
  rip
• 20:31
  it
• 20:31
  out
• 20:31
  and
• 20:31
  do
• 20:32
  it,
• 20:32
  and
• 20:32
  it
• 20:32
  won't
• 20:32
  be
• 20:32
  that
• 20:32
  big
• 20:33
  a
• 20:33
  deal.
• 20:33
  It's
• 20:34
  a
• 20:34
  value.
• 20:34
  When
• 20:34
  you're
• 20:34
  paying,
• 20:35
  litter
• 20:35
  it
• 20:36
  before
• 20:37
  you
• 20:37
  blow
• 20:38
  6k
• 20:39
  on
• 20:39
  a
• 20:39
  granite
• 20:39
  countertop.
• 20:40
  And
• 20:41
  at
• 20:42
  least
• 20:42
  know
• 20:42
  that
• 20:43
  if
• 20:43
  you
• 20:43
  are
• 20:43
  going
• 20:43
  to
• 20:44
  redo
• 20:44
  the
• 20:44
  kitchen
• 20:44
  in
• 20:44
  three
• 20:45
  years,
• 20:45
  you're
• 20:45
  just
• 20:45
  throwing
• 20:46
  $6,000
• 20:47
  away.
• 20:48
  And
• 20:48
  if
• 20:48
  you
• 20:48
  can
• 20:48
  accept
• 20:49
  that
• 20:49
  and
• 20:49
  sleep
• 20:49
  at
• 20:49
  night,
• 20:50
  head
• 20:50
  on,
• 20:51
  man.
• 20:51
  It's
• 20:51
  your
• 20:51
  kitchen.
• 20:52
  It's
• 20:52
  your
• 20:53
  kitchen,
• 20:53
  your
• 20:53
  money.
• 20:54
  And
• 20:54
  you
• 20:54
  know,
• 20:55
  it's
• 20:55
  good
• 20:55
  for
• 20:55
  the
• 20:55
  granite
• 20:55
  supplier
• 20:56
  that'll
• 20:56
  be
• 20:56
  out
• 20:56
  there
• 20:56
  in
• 20:56
  three
• 20:56
  years
• 20:57
  doing
• 20:57
  it
• 20:57
  all
• 20:57
  over
• 20:57
  again
• 20:57
  for
• 20:58
  you.
• 20:58
  Yeah,
• 20:58
  that's
• 20:59
  the
• 20:59
  key.
• 20:59
  All
• 21:00
  right,
• 21:00
  let's
• 21:00
  run
• 21:00
  out
• 21:00
  to
• 21:00
  break.
• 21:01
  We've
• 21:01
  got
• 21:01
  another
• 21:01
  one
• 21:02
  here
• 21:02
  coming
• 21:02
  back.
• 21:02
  That's
• 21:03
  going
• 21:03
  to
• 21:03
  be
• 21:03
  a
• 21:03
  good
• 21:03
  one.
• 21:03
  And
• 21:03
  you're
• 21:04
  going
• 21:04
  to
• 21:04
  be.
• 21:04
  You're
• 21:04
  going
• 21:04
  to
• 21:04
  laugh
• 21:04
  about
• 21:05
  this
• 21:05
  one
• 21:05
  because
• 21:05
  it's
• 21:06
  one
• 21:06
  of
• 21:06
  my
• 21:06
  biggest
• 21:06
  pet
• 21:07
  peeves.
• 21:07
  We'll
• 21:08
  talk
• 21:08
  about
• 21:08
  that
• 21:08
  just
• 21:08
  as
• 21:09
  soon
• 21:09
  as
• 21:09
  around

  the

• 23:25
  We've
• 23:25
  been
• 23:25
  talking
• 23:26
  here
• 23:26
  about
• 23:26
  the
• 23:26
  top
• 23:26
  10
• 23:27
  mistakes
• 23:27
  you
• 23:27
  can
• 23:27
  make
• 23:28
  when
• 23:29
  designing
• 23:29
  and
• 23:30
  remodeling
• 23:30
  that
• 23:31
  kitchen.
• 23:31
  And
• 23:31
  we've
• 23:32
  been
• 23:32
  going
• 23:32
  down
• 23:32
  through
• 23:32
  the
• 23:32
  list
• 23:33
  here.
• 23:33
  This
• 23:34
  next
• 23:34
  one
• 23:34
  is
• 23:34
  one
• 23:35
  of
• 23:35
  my
• 23:35
  pet
• 23:35
  peeves.
• 23:36
  If
• 23:36
  you're
• 23:36
  listening
• 23:37
  to
• 23:37
  the
• 23:37
  show,
• 23:37
  bear
• 23:37
  with
• 23:38
  me
• 23:38
  because
• 23:38
  we're
• 23:38
  going
• 23:39
  to
• 23:39
  talk
• 23:39
  about
• 23:39
  this
• 23:39
  again.
• 23:40
  But
• 23:40
  is
• 23:41
  messing
• 23:41
  up
• 23:42
  that
• 23:42
  vent
• 23:43
  hood
• 23:43
  replacement
• 23:45
  or
• 23:45
  it's
• 23:46
  not
• 23:46
  even
• 23:46
  there.
• 23:47
  And
• 23:47
  this
• 23:47
  is
• 23:48
  one
• 23:48
  of
• 23:48
  my
• 23:48
  biggest
• 23:48
  pet
• 23:49
  peeves,
• 23:49
  because
• 23:50
  that
• 23:50
  cooking
• 23:51
  surface
• 23:51
  really
• 23:52
  is.
• 23:53
  It's
• 23:54
  your
• 23:54
  most
• 23:54
  polluting
• 23:55
  thing
• 23:55
  you
• 23:55
  can
• 23:55
  do
• 23:55
  to
• 23:56
  the
• 23:56
  indoor
• 23:56
  air
• 23:56
  in
• 23:56
  your
• 23:56
  house
• 23:57
  is
• 23:57
  that
• 23:57
  cooktop.
• 23:58
  And
• 23:58
  you
• 23:58
  want
• 23:58
  to
• 23:58
  get
• 23:58
  that
• 23:58
  stuff
• 23:59
  out
• 23:59
  of
• 23:59
  there.
• 24:00
  To
• 24:00
  be
• 24:00
  honest,
• 24:00
  it
• 24:00
  doesn't
• 24:00
  matter
• 24:01
  if
• 24:01
  it's
• 24:01
  a
• 24:01
  gas
• 24:01
  one
• 24:01
  or
• 24:02
  an
• 24:02
  induction
• 24:02
  one
• 24:02
  that's
• 24:03
  super
• 24:03
  green,
• 24:04
  you're
• 24:04
  still
• 24:04
  cooking
• 24:05
  stuff.
• 24:05
  There's
• 24:05
  still
• 24:06
  lots
• 24:06
  of
• 24:06
  gases,
• 24:07
  lots
• 24:07
  of
• 24:07
  moisture,
• 24:08
  lots
• 24:09
  of
• 24:09
  chemicals
• 24:09
  from
• 24:10
  cooking
• 24:10
  food
• 24:11
  you
• 24:11
  want
• 24:11
  out
• 24:11
  of
• 24:12
  the
• 24:12
  house.
• 24:12
  So
• 24:12
  if
• 24:12
  you've
• 24:13
  got
• 24:13
  that
• 24:13
  one
• 24:14
  that
• 24:14
  we
• 24:14
  call
• 24:14
  the
• 24:14
  forehead
• 24:15
  duster,
• 24:16
  it's
• 24:16
  that
• 24:16
  Bro
• 24:17
  Newtone
• 24:17
  one
• 24:17
  that
• 24:18
  kicks
• 24:18
  it
• 24:19
  right
• 24:19
  out
• 24:19
  the
• 24:19
  front,
• 24:20
  right
• 24:20
  into
• 24:20
  your
• 24:20
  face,
• 24:21
  that
• 24:21
  recirculates.
• 24:22
  That
• 24:23
  thing
• 24:23
  does
• 24:23
  you
• 24:23
  no
• 24:24
  good.
• 24:25
  Get
• 24:25
  rid
• 24:25
  of
• 24:25
  it.
• 24:25
  It's
• 24:25
  pretty
• 24:26
  and
• 24:26
  it's
• 24:26
  not
• 24:27
  that
• 24:27
  expensive.
• 24:28
  I
• 24:29
  know.
• 24:29
  And
• 24:29
  I
• 24:29
  wish,
• 24:30
  I
• 24:30
  wish
• 24:30
  we
• 24:30
  could
• 24:30
  ban
• 24:31
  those
• 24:31
  for
• 24:31
  sale
• 24:31
  in
• 24:31
  the
• 24:32
  United
• 24:32
  States
• 24:32
  because
• 24:32
  they're
• 24:33
  absolutely
• 24:34
  pointless
• 24:35
  decoration.
• 24:36
  It
• 24:37
  is
• 24:37
  a
• 24:37
  metal
• 24:38
  hood
• 24:38
  liner
• 24:39
  that
• 24:39
  might
• 24:39
  slow
• 24:40
  down
• 24:40
  a
• 24:40
  kitchen
• 24:40
  fire
• 24:41
  for
• 24:41
  a
• 24:41
  few
• 24:41
  minutes
• 24:42
  until
• 24:42
  you
• 24:42
  get
• 24:42
  the
• 24:42
  fire
• 24:42
  extinguisher.
• 24:43
  That's
• 24:44
  about
• 24:44
  all
• 24:45
  it's
• 24:45
  good
• 24:45
  for.
• 24:46
  You
• 24:46
  could
• 24:46
  just
• 24:46
  hang
• 24:46
  a
• 24:47
  painting
• 24:47
  there
• 24:47
  instead,
• 24:48
  right?
• 24:49
  Oh,
• 24:50
  so
• 24:51
  bad.
• 24:51
  And.
• 24:51
  And
• 24:52
  you
• 24:52
  need
• 24:53
  a
• 24:53
  properly
• 24:53
  sized
• 24:54
  exhaust
• 24:55
  hood.
• 24:55
  You
• 24:55
  do.
• 24:55
  It
• 24:56
  needs
• 24:56
  to
• 24:56
  go
• 24:56
  all
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  way
• 24:56
  out,
• 24:57
  not
• 24:57
  into
• 24:57
  the
• 24:57
  attic
• 24:57
  space,
• 24:58
  but
• 24:58
  all
• 24:58
  the
• 24:58
  way
• 24:58
  out
• 24:58
  through
• 24:59
  the
• 24:59
  roof,
• 24:59
  through
• 25:00
  the
• 25:00
  sidewall
• 25:01
  outside.
• 25:02
  And
• 25:02
  you
• 25:02
  need
• 25:03
  to
• 25:03
  size
• 25:03
  it
• 25:04
  for
• 25:05
  the
• 25:05
  cooking
• 25:06
  surface
• 25:06
  you
• 25:06
  have.
• 25:06
  If
• 25:07
  you
• 25:07
  have
• 25:07
  that
• 25:07
  big
• 25:08
  48
• 25:08
  inch
• 25:09
  range
• 25:09
  with
• 25:09
  six
• 25:10
  or
• 25:10
  eight
• 25:10
  burners
• 25:10
  on
• 25:11
  it,
• 25:11
  you're
• 25:12
  going
• 25:12
  to
• 25:12
  need
• 25:12
  something
• 25:12
  probably
• 25:13
  800,000,
• 25:14
  1200
• 25:15
  cubic
• 25:15
  feet
• 25:15
  per
• 25:16
  minute.
• 25:16
  And
• 25:17
  when
• 25:17
  you
• 25:17
  think
• 25:17
  about
• 25:18
  that
• 25:18
  1200
• 25:19
  cubic
• 25:19
  feet
• 25:20
  per
• 25:20
  minute,
• 25:20
  that
• 25:21
  is
• 25:21
  1200
• 25:22
  basketballs
• 25:23
  of
• 25:23
  air
• 25:23
  per
• 25:23
  minute.
• 25:24
  So
• 25:25
  now
• 25:25
  if
• 25:25
  you've
• 25:25
  got
• 25:25
  a
• 25:25
  nice
• 25:26
  super
• 25:26
  tight
• 25:26
  house
• 25:27
  that's
• 25:27
  energy
• 25:27
  efficient,
• 25:28
  you
• 25:28
  need
• 25:28
  makeup
• 25:29
  air
• 25:29
  to
• 25:30
  bring
• 25:30
  back
• 25:30
  in
• 25:31
  so
• 25:31
  you're
• 25:31
  not
• 25:32
  sucking
• 25:32
  in
• 25:32
  the
• 25:32
  carbon
• 25:33
  monoxide
• 25:34
  from
• 25:35
  whatever's
• 25:35
  venting
• 25:36
  outside.
• 25:36
  So
• 25:37
  there's
• 25:37
  some
• 25:38
  science
• 25:38
  to
• 25:38
  this.
• 25:39
  Make
• 25:39
  sure
• 25:39
  you're
• 25:39
  doing
• 25:40
  it
• 25:40
  right.
• 25:41
  Or
• 25:41
  if
• 25:41
  you've
• 25:42
  got
• 25:42
  that
• 25:42
  70s
• 25:42
  house
• 25:43
  that
• 25:43
  just
• 25:43
  leaks
• 25:44
  like
• 25:44
  a
• 25:44
  sieve,
• 25:44
  not
• 25:45
  that
• 25:45
  big
• 25:45
  a
• 25:45
  deal.
• 25:47
  You
• 25:47
  think
• 25:47
  about
• 25:48
  that.
• 25:48
  Just
• 25:49
  piss
• 25:49
  the
• 25:49
  hibachi
• 25:50
  out
• 25:50
  back,
• 25:50
  you
• 25:50
  go
• 25:51
  yeah.
• 25:52
  You
• 25:52
  know,
• 25:52
  not
• 25:52
  that
• 25:52
  big
• 25:53
  a
• 25:53
  deal.
• 25:53
  Houses
• 25:54
  that
• 25:54
  breathe,
• 25:55
  you
• 25:55
  know,
• 25:56
  not
• 25:56
  that
• 25:56
  big
• 25:56
  a
• 25:56
  deal.
• 25:57
  Houses
• 25:58
  that
• 25:58
  don't.
• 25:58
  It
• 25:58
  can
• 25:59
  be
• 25:59
  deadly.
• 25:59
  So
• 25:59
  you
• 26:00
  want
• 26:00
  to
• 26:00
  make
• 26:00
  sure
• 26:00
  on
• 26:00
  that.
• 26:01
  Yeah.
• 26:01
  There's
• 26:02
  rules
• 26:02
  for
• 26:02
  a
• 26:02
  reason.
• 26:03
  Yeah.
• 26:04
  And
• 26:05
  here's
• 26:05
  the
• 26:05
  nice
• 26:05
  thing.
• 26:05
  When
• 26:05
  you
• 26:06
  have
• 26:06
  a
• 26:06
  properly
• 26:07
  sized
• 26:07
  hood
• 26:08
  and
• 26:08
  it's
• 26:08
  nasty
• 26:09
  outside,
• 26:09
  it's
• 26:10
  raining,
• 26:10
  or
• 26:10
  you're.
• 26:11
  You
• 26:11
  just
• 26:11
  want
• 26:11
  to
• 26:11
  throw
• 26:12
  that
• 26:12
  steak
• 26:12
  on
• 26:12
  that
• 26:12
  cast
• 26:13
  iron
• 26:13
  pan,
• 26:14
  you're
• 26:14
  not
• 26:14
  going
• 26:14
  to
• 26:15
  smell
• 26:15
  in
• 26:15
  the
• 26:15
  rest
• 26:15
  of
• 26:15
  the
• 26:15
  house
• 26:16
  for
• 26:16
  the
• 26:16
  next
• 26:16
  two
• 26:16
  weeks
• 26:17
  because
• 26:17
  you
• 26:18
  gas
• 26:18
  the
• 26:18
  house
• 26:18
  out
• 26:19
  or
• 26:19
  cooking
• 26:20
  that
• 26:20
  salmon,
• 26:21
  you
• 26:22
  know,
• 26:22
  and
• 26:22
  you
• 26:22
  don't
• 26:22
  want
• 26:22
  the
• 26:22
  fishy
• 26:23
  smell
• 26:23
  around.
• 26:24
  That's
• 26:24
  the
• 26:24
  worst,
• 26:25
  dude.
• 26:26
  Yeah,
• 26:26
  that.
• 26:27
  And
• 26:27
  just
• 26:28
  throw
• 26:28
  the
• 26:28
  vent
• 26:28
  to
• 26:28
  the
• 26:28
  attic
• 26:29
  and
• 26:29
  call
• 26:29
  it
• 26:29
  good.
• 26:30
  So
• 26:30
  your
• 26:30
  bedroom
• 26:30
  upstairs
• 26:31
  smells
• 26:31
  like
• 26:31
  steak
• 26:32
  all
• 26:32
  the
• 26:32
  time.
• 26:35
  So
• 26:35
  bad.
• 26:36
  Yeah.
• 26:37
  And
• 26:37
  not
• 26:37
  only
• 26:37
  do
• 26:37
  you
• 26:38
  get
• 26:38
  the
• 26:38
  grease
• 26:38
  in
• 26:38
  the
• 26:39
  attic,
• 26:39
  that's
• 26:39
  all
• 26:39
  over
• 26:40
  everything
• 26:40
  up
• 26:41
  there
• 26:41
  because
• 26:41
  that
• 26:41
  filter
• 26:42
  doesn't
• 26:42
  do
• 26:42
  that
• 26:43
  good
• 26:43
  a
• 26:43
  work.
• 26:44
  Now
• 26:44
  you
• 26:44
  got
• 26:44
  the
• 26:45
  mold
• 26:45
  and
• 26:45
  everything
• 26:45
  else
• 26:45
  up
• 26:46
  in
• 26:46
  the
• 26:46
  attic.
• 26:46
  And
• 26:46
  man,
• 26:47
  I
• 26:47
  tell
• 26:47
  you
• 26:47
  what,
• 26:47
  if
• 26:48
  you
• 26:48
  want
• 26:48
  to
• 26:48
  see
• 26:48
  an
• 26:48
  expensive
• 26:49
  price,
• 26:49
  go
• 26:49
  get
• 26:50
  mold
• 26:50
  abatement
• 26:50
  for
• 26:51
  your
• 26:51
  attic.
• 26:51
  Put
• 26:52
  that
• 26:52
  on
• 26:52
  your
• 26:52
  bingo
• 26:53
  card.
• 26:53
  That's
• 26:54
  expensive.
• 26:54
  That's
• 26:55
  super
• 26:55
  expensive.
• 26:56
  So
• 26:56
  take
• 26:56
  the
• 26:57
  time,
• 26:57
  do
• 26:57
  it
• 26:57
  right.
• 26:58
  Get
• 26:58
  a
• 26:58
  good
• 26:58
  one.
• 26:59
  The
• 26:59
  good
• 26:59
  ones
• 27:00
  are
• 27:00
  quieter.
• 27:01
  I
• 27:01
  mean,
• 27:01
  I
• 27:01
  did
• 27:01
  one,
• 27:02
  I
• 27:02
  was
• 27:02
  just
• 27:02
  walking
• 27:03
  the
• 27:03
  other
• 27:03
  day
• 27:04
  through
• 27:05
  a
• 27:05
  neighborhood
• 27:05
  and
• 27:05
  oh,
• 27:06
  I
• 27:06
  remember
• 27:06
  I
• 27:06
  remodeled
• 27:07
  that
• 27:07
  house.
• 27:07
  Yeah,
• 27:07
  I'm
• 27:07
  that
• 27:08
  guy.
• 27:08
  You're
• 27:08
  the
• 27:08
  same.
• 27:09
  Driving
• 27:09
  through
• 27:09
  Tacoma,
• 27:10
  I
• 27:10
  remember
• 27:10
  when
• 27:10
  I
• 27:10
  did
• 27:10
  that
• 27:11
  house.
• 27:12
  But
• 27:12
  we
• 27:12
  did
• 27:12
  one
• 27:12
  of
• 27:13
  the
• 27:13
  flush
• 27:13
  vent
• 27:13
  hoods.
• 27:14
  It's
• 27:14
  flush
• 27:14
  with
• 27:14
  the
• 27:15
  ceiling
• 27:15
  up
• 27:15
  on
• 27:16
  a
• 27:16
  8
• 27:16
  foot
• 27:17
  high
• 27:17
  ceiling.
• 27:17
  And
• 27:18
  they
• 27:18
  had
• 27:18
  a
• 27:18
  remote
• 27:18
  control
• 27:19
  and
• 27:20
  it
• 27:20
  was
• 27:20
  wider
• 27:20
  than
• 27:20
  the
• 27:20
  cook
• 27:21
  cooktop
• 27:22
  up
• 27:22
  there.
• 27:22
  But
• 27:22
  the
• 27:22
  fan
• 27:23
  was
• 27:23
  built
• 27:23
  into
• 27:23
  the
• 27:23
  attic
• 27:24
  space,
• 27:24
  so
• 27:24
  they
• 27:25
  didn't
• 27:25
  have
• 27:25
  this
• 27:25
  hood
• 27:26
  hanging
• 27:26
  down
• 27:26
  and
• 27:26
  in
• 27:26
  their
• 27:27
  view
• 27:27
  and
• 27:27
  everything
• 27:27
  else.
• 27:28
  But
• 27:29
  kind
• 27:29
  of
• 27:29
  cool
• 27:29
  when
• 27:30
  you
• 27:30
  can
• 27:30
  do
• 27:30
  that.
• 27:30
  There's
• 27:31
  so
• 27:31
  many
• 27:31
  different
• 27:31
  hood
• 27:31
  options
• 27:32
  out
• 27:32
  there.
• 27:33
  You
• 27:33
  know,
• 27:33
  there's
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  good
• 27:34
  one.
• 27:34
  One
• 27:34
  of
• 27:34
  the
• 27:34
  biggest,
• 27:35
  most
• 27:35
  expensive
• 27:36
  mistakes
• 27:36
  people
• 27:37
  make
• 27:37
  as
• 27:37
  well
• 27:37
  is
• 27:37
  when
• 27:37
  they
• 27:38
  do
• 27:38
  those
• 27:38
  wood
• 27:38
  hoods,
• 27:39
  you
• 27:39
  know,
• 27:39
  the
• 27:39
  decorative
• 27:40
  wood.
• 27:41
  And
• 27:41
  then
• 27:42
  if
• 27:42
  you're
• 27:42
  not
• 27:42
  a
• 27:43
  good
• 27:43
  designer
• 27:43
  or
• 27:44
  you're
• 27:44
  trying
• 27:44
  to
• 27:44
  design
• 27:45
  it
• 27:45
  yourself,
• 27:45
  that
• 27:45
  wood
• 27:46
  wood
• 27:46
  hood
• 27:47
  has
• 27:47
  to
• 27:47
  be
• 27:47
  wider
• 27:48
  than
• 27:48
  the
• 27:48
  cooking
• 27:48
  surface
• 27:49
  because
• 27:49
  otherwise
• 27:49
  you
• 27:50
  got
• 27:50
  a
• 27:50
  piece
• 27:50
  of
• 27:50
  wood
• 27:51
  over
• 27:51
  the
• 27:51
  top
• 27:51
  of
• 27:52
  a
• 27:52
  flame.
• 27:52
  Never
• 27:53
  good.
• 27:54
  No,
• 27:54
  not
• 27:55
  the
• 27:55
  best
• 27:55
  idea.
• 27:56
  So,
• 27:56
  for
• 27:57
  example,
• 27:57
  to
• 27:57
  give
• 27:57
  you
• 27:57
  guys
• 27:58
  a
• 27:58
  clean
• 27:58
  picture
• 27:58
  of
• 27:58
  this,
• 27:59
  if
• 27:59
  you've
• 27:59
  got
• 27:59
  that
• 28:00
  48
• 28:00
  inch
• 28:01
  range,
• 28:01
  many
• 28:01
  times
• 28:02
  you
• 28:02
  need
• 28:02
  a
• 28:03
  54
• 28:04
  inch
• 28:04
  hood
• 28:04
  to
• 28:04
  go
• 28:04
  over
• 28:05
  the
• 28:05
  top
• 28:05
  of
• 28:05
  that
• 28:05
  because
• 28:05
  the
• 28:06
  inside
• 28:06
  liner
• 28:07
  has
• 28:07
  to
• 28:07
  be
• 28:07
  at
• 28:07
  least
• 28:08
  as
• 28:08
  wide
• 28:08
  and
• 28:08
  deep
• 28:09
  as
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  hood.
• 28:09
  So
• 28:10
  there's
• 28:10
  some
• 28:10
  math
• 28:11
  involved
• 28:11
  there.
• 28:11
  And
• 28:11
  you
• 28:12
  don't
• 28:12
  want
• 28:12
  to
• 28:12
  have
• 28:12
  the
• 28:12
  kitchen
• 28:12
  done,
• 28:13
  go
• 28:13
  get
• 28:13
  your
• 28:13
  final
• 28:13
  inspection.
• 28:14
  And
• 28:14
  I've
• 28:15
  seen
• 28:15
  this
• 28:15
  happen.
• 28:16
  Not
• 28:16
  on
• 28:16
  my
• 28:17
  jobs,
• 28:17
  but
• 28:17
  I've
• 28:17
  seen
• 28:17
  this
• 28:17
  happen
• 28:18
  because
• 28:18
  I
• 28:18
  got
• 28:19
  the
• 28:19
  phone
• 28:19
  call,
• 28:19
  how
• 28:19
  do
• 28:19
  we
• 28:20
  fix
• 28:20
  this?
• 28:20
  Later,
• 28:21
  when
• 28:22
  the
• 28:22
  designer
• 28:23
  quit,
• 28:23
  and
• 28:23
  I
• 28:23
  had
• 28:23
  to
• 28:23
  go
• 28:23
  in
• 28:23
  and
• 28:24
  rescue
• 28:24
  it.
• 28:24
  And
• 28:25
  I
• 28:25
  was
• 28:25
  just
• 28:25
  going
• 28:25
  to
• 28:25
  say,
• 28:26
  now
• 28:26
  we're
• 28:26
  back
• 28:26
  to
• 28:26
  kitchen
• 28:27
  designer,
• 28:27
  because
• 28:27
  now
• 28:28
  you
• 28:28
  got
• 28:28
  to,
• 28:28
  what,
• 28:29
  cut
• 28:29
  an
• 28:29
  upper
• 28:30
  cabinet
• 28:30
  in
• 28:30
  half
• 28:30
  to
• 28:31
  fit
• 28:31
  your
• 28:31
  range.
• 28:32
  You're
• 28:32
  ordering
• 28:32
  two
• 28:33
  new
• 28:33
  cabinets
• 28:33
  and
• 28:34
  a
• 28:34
  $6,000
• 28:35
  wood
• 28:35
  range
• 28:36
  hood
• 28:36
  and
• 28:36
  liner
• 28:37
  that
• 28:37
  you
• 28:37
  need
• 28:37
  to
• 28:37
  do
• 28:37
  or
• 28:38
  more.
• 28:38
  That's.
• 28:38
  Yeah,
• 28:39
  that's
• 28:39
  the
• 28:39
  stuff
• 28:39
  you
• 28:40
  miss.
• 28:41
  Yep,
• 28:41
  that's
• 28:41
  the
• 28:42
  stuff
• 28:42
  that
• 28:42
  I
• 28:42
  don't
• 28:42
  miss
• 28:43
  at
• 28:43
  all.
• 28:44
  So.
• 28:45
  All
• 28:45
  right,
• 28:46
  next
• 28:46
  one
• 28:46
  here
• 28:47
  on
• 28:47
  the
• 28:47
  list.
• 28:48
  Using
• 28:48
  the
• 28:49
  wrong
• 28:49
  countertop
• 28:50
  materials.
• 28:51
  And
• 28:51
  now
• 28:51
  I'll
• 28:52
  say
• 28:52
  using
• 28:52
  tile
• 28:53
  as
• 28:53
  a
• 28:53
  countertop.
• 28:54
  I
• 28:54
  hate
• 28:55
  tile
• 28:55
  countertops.
• 28:56
  Yeah.
• 28:56
  I
• 28:56
  hate
• 28:57
  putting
• 28:57
  them
• 28:57
  in.
• 28:58
  I
• 28:58
  hate
• 28:58
  having
• 28:58
  to
• 28:58
  clean
• 28:59
  the
• 28:59
  grout.
• 29:00
  I
• 29:00
  hate
• 29:00
  tearing
• 29:01
  them
• 29:01
  out.
• 29:02
  They're
• 29:02
  the
• 29:02
  worst.
• 29:03
  It's
• 29:04
  just
• 29:04
  something
• 29:04
  that
• 29:05
  should
• 29:05
  be
• 29:05
  left
• 29:05
  in
• 29:05
  history
• 29:06
  as
• 29:06
  a
• 29:06
  bad
• 29:06
  idea.
• 29:07
  I
• 29:08
  did
• 29:08
  it.
• 29:08
  We've
• 29:09
  all
• 29:09
  done
• 29:09
  it.
• 29:09
  Yeah,
• 29:10
  I've
• 29:10
  done
• 29:10
  it.
• 29:11
  Yep.
• 29:12
  Not
• 29:12
  a
• 29:12
  fan.
• 29:13
  Not
• 29:13
  a
• 29:13
  fan.
• 29:14
  I
• 29:14
  mean,
• 29:14
  even
• 29:15
  that,
• 29:15
  you
• 29:16
  know,
• 29:16
  even
• 29:16
  with
• 29:16
  a
• 29:17
  16
• 29:18
  inch,
• 29:19
  16th
• 29:20
  of
• 29:21
  an
• 29:21
  inch
• 29:21
  gap.
• 29:22
  Right.
• 29:22
  So
• 29:23
  you
• 29:23
  don't
• 29:23
  have
• 29:23
  a
• 29:23
  big
• 29:24
  grout
• 29:24
  line
• 29:24
  to
• 29:24
  clean.
• 29:25
  It's
• 29:25
  still
• 29:25
  just
• 29:26
  dirty
• 29:26
  and
• 29:26
  bad.
• 29:27
  It's
• 29:28
  just
• 29:28
  like.
• 29:28
  It's
• 29:29
  a
• 29:29
  bad
• 29:29
  idea.
• 29:29
  Solid
• 29:30
  surface
• 29:30
  all
• 29:30
  the
• 29:30
  way
• 29:31
  around.
• 29:31
  And
• 29:32
  I
• 29:32
  know
• 29:32
  where
• 29:32
  you're
• 29:32
  going
• 29:33
  next
• 29:33
  with
• 29:33
  the
• 29:33
  butcher
• 29:34
  block,
• 29:34
  so
• 29:34
  go
• 29:34
  ahead.
• 29:35
  Yep.
• 29:35
  Yeah.
• 29:36
  I
• 29:36
  mean,
• 29:37
  so
• 29:37
  many
• 29:37
  people.
• 29:37
  Hey,
• 29:38
  I.
• 29:38
  You
• 29:38
  know,
• 29:38
  and
• 29:39
  again,
• 29:39
  I
• 29:39
  get
• 29:40
  people
• 29:40
  on
• 29:40
  budgets,
• 29:41
  right?
• 29:41
  You
• 29:41
  know,
• 29:41
  they
• 29:42
  go
• 29:42
  out
• 29:42
  and
• 29:42
  say,
• 29:42
  oh,
• 29:42
  I'm
• 29:43
  tearing
• 29:43
  out
• 29:43
  this
• 29:43
  laminate
• 29:44
  that's
• 29:44
  destroyed.
• 29:44
  Or
• 29:45
  that
• 29:45
  old
• 29:45
  Corian
• 29:46
  that's.
• 29:46
  That's
• 29:47
  destroyed
• 29:47
  in
• 29:47
  there
• 29:48
  that
• 29:48
  they
• 29:48
  just.
• 29:48
  It's
• 29:48
  tired
• 29:49
  and
• 29:49
  it's
• 29:49
  old.
• 29:50
  They
• 29:50
  run
• 29:50
  down
• 29:50
  to
• 29:51
  Ikea
• 29:51
  or
• 29:51
  their
• 29:51
  home
• 29:51
  improvement
• 29:52
  center
• 29:52
  and
• 29:52
  buy
• 29:52
  some
• 29:52
  butcher
• 29:53
  block
• 29:53
  tops
• 29:53
  and
• 29:54
  get
• 29:54
  out
• 29:54
  the
• 29:55
  circular
• 29:55
  saw
• 29:55
  and
• 29:55
  the
• 29:55
  screw
• 29:56
  gun
• 29:56
  and
• 29:56
  put
• 29:56
  it
• 29:56
  in.
• 29:57
  But
• 29:57
  the
• 29:57
  problem
• 29:58
  is,
• 29:58
  is
• 29:58
  wood
• 29:59
  and
• 29:59
  water
• 29:59
  do
• 29:59
  not
• 30:00
  mix
• 30:00
  when
• 30:00
  it
• 30:00
  comes
• 30:00
  to
• 30:00
  butcher
• 30:01
  blocks.
• 30:01
  They
• 30:01
  will
• 30:02
  split,
• 30:02
  warp.
• 30:03
  And
• 30:03
  then
• 30:04
  I
• 30:04
  see
• 30:04
  people
• 30:04
  going
• 30:05
  to
• 30:05
  put
• 30:05
  like
• 30:05
  their.
• 30:05
  I
• 30:06
  put
• 30:06
  eight
• 30:06
  coats
• 30:06
  of
• 30:07
  Jim
• 30:07
  Verathane
• 30:08
  on
• 30:08
  it,
• 30:08
  and
• 30:08
  it's.
• 30:09
  It'll
• 30:09
  be
• 30:09
  fine.
• 30:09
  Well,
• 30:10
  guys,
• 30:10
  your
• 30:11
  food's
• 30:11
  gonna
• 30:11
  touch
• 30:12
  that.
• 30:12
  So
• 30:12
  if
• 30:12
  you're
• 30:12
  gonna
• 30:13
  put
• 30:13
  a
• 30:13
  coating
• 30:13
  on
• 30:14
  it,
• 30:15
  make
• 30:15
  sure
• 30:15
  it's
• 30:15
  a
• 30:15
  food
• 30:16
  safe
• 30:16
  coating.
• 30:16
  I
• 30:17
  don't
• 30:17
  want
• 30:17
  the
• 30:17
  gym
• 30:17
  stuff
• 30:18
  in
• 30:18
  my.
• 30:19
  In
• 30:19
  My
• 30:19
  sandwich
• 30:20
  that
• 30:20
  you
• 30:20
  just
• 30:20
  made
• 30:20
  on
• 30:20
  the.
• 30:21
  On
• 30:21
  the
• 30:21
  countertop.
• 30:22
  Yeah.
• 30:22
  Salami
• 30:23
  with
• 30:23
  varnish.
• 30:24
  Ah,
• 30:25
  yeah.
• 30:26
  What's
• 30:27
  the
• 30:27
  dipping
• 30:27
  sauce?
• 30:27
  Spar
• 30:28
  varnish.
• 30:28
  Yeah,
• 30:29
  It'll
• 30:29
  be
• 30:29
  great.
• 30:30
  Yeah,
• 30:30
  super.
• 30:30
  It'll
• 30:31
  be
• 30:31
  great.
• 30:32
  Here's
• 30:32
  a
• 30:32
  glass
• 30:33
  of
• 30:33
  turpentine.
• 30:34
  Oh.
• 30:35
  Oh,
• 30:36
  yeah,
• 30:36
  yeah.
• 30:36
  Spoonful
• 30:37
  of
• 30:37
  sugar
• 30:37
  makes
• 30:37
  the
• 30:38
  medicine
• 30:38
  go
• 30:38
  down,
• 30:38
  as
• 30:38
  he
• 30:39
  used
• 30:39
  to
• 30:39
  say.
• 30:39
  Oh,
• 30:40
  you're
• 30:40
  right.
• 30:41
  Way
• 30:41
  to
• 30:41
  go,
• 30:41
  Mary
• 30:42
  Poppins.
• 30:42
  Look
• 30:42
  at
• 30:43
  you.
• 30:44
  Housing
• 30:44
  chorus
• 30:45
  in
• 30:45
  fifth
• 30:45
  grade.
• 30:45
  I
• 30:46
  remember.
• 30:47
  You
• 30:47
  remember.
• 30:47
  I
• 30:48
  think
• 30:48
  we
• 30:48
  all
• 30:48
  were
• 30:48
  by
• 30:48
  force.
• 30:49
  But
• 30:49
  really,
• 30:50
  that's.
• 30:50
  That's
• 30:51
  the
• 30:51
  mistake
• 30:51
  people
• 30:51
  make.
• 30:52
  And
• 30:52
  then
• 30:52
  they
• 30:52
  go,
• 30:52
  oh,
• 30:52
  wow,
• 30:53
  it's
• 30:53
  split,
• 30:54
  it
• 30:54
  warped,
• 30:55
  it
• 30:55
  did
• 30:55
  all
• 30:55
  these
• 30:55
  crazy
• 30:56
  things.
• 30:56
  And
• 30:56
  it's
• 30:57
  wood.
• 30:58
  It's
• 30:58
  wood.
• 30:58
  It's
• 30:59
  gonna
• 30:59
  move.
• 31:00
  It's
• 31:00
  gonna
• 31:00
  move
• 31:00
  when
• 31:00
  you
• 31:01
  get
• 31:01
  it
• 31:01
  wet
• 31:01
  and
• 31:01
  it's
• 31:01
  gonna
• 31:02
  get
• 31:02
  destroyed.
• 31:02
  So
• 31:03
  I've
• 31:03
  seen
• 31:03
  people
• 31:04
  do
• 31:04
  it.
• 31:04
  And
• 31:05
  here's
• 31:06
  the
• 31:06
  other
• 31:06
  thing,
• 31:06
  too.
• 31:06
  When
• 31:07
  you
• 31:07
  get
• 31:07
  into
• 31:07
  marbles
• 31:08
  and
• 31:08
  things
• 31:08
  like
• 31:08
  that
• 31:09
  in
• 31:09
  Europe,
• 31:10
  people
• 31:11
  have
• 31:11
  used
• 31:11
  marble
• 31:12
  for
• 31:13
  millennia
• 31:14
  for
• 31:15
  surfaces,
• 31:16
  and
• 31:16
  they
• 31:16
  fully
• 31:17
  understand
• 31:17
  that
• 31:18
  someone
• 31:18
  that
• 31:18
  spills
• 31:19
  wine
• 31:19
  on
• 31:19
  it
• 31:20
  is
• 31:20
  gonna
• 31:21
  totally
• 31:22
  stain.
• 31:23
  And
• 31:23
  it's
• 31:23
  just
• 31:24
  part
• 31:24
  of
• 31:24
  the
• 31:24
  patina.
• 31:25
  Our
• 31:25
  American
• 31:26
  culture
• 31:27
  here
• 31:27
  in
• 31:27
  the
• 31:27
  US
• 31:28
  is
• 31:29
  not
• 31:29
  designed
• 31:30
  for
• 31:30
  that.
• 31:30
  People
• 31:31
  want
• 31:31
  it
• 31:31
  to
• 31:31
  look
• 31:32
  like
• 31:32
  the
• 31:32
  brand
• 31:33
  new
• 31:33
  car
• 31:33
  when
• 31:33
  it
• 31:34
  came
• 31:34
  off
• 31:34
  the
• 31:34
  lot.
• 31:35
  Perfect.
• 31:36
  Yeah.
• 31:36
  And
• 31:36
  when
• 31:37
  you
• 31:37
  put
• 31:37
  a
• 31:37
  soft
• 31:37
  living
• 31:38
  finish
• 31:38
  down,
• 31:39
  it
• 31:39
  usually
• 31:40
  doesn't
• 31:40
  go
• 31:40
  well.
• 31:40
  So
• 31:41
  for
• 31:41
  you
• 31:41
  folks
• 31:41
  out
• 31:41
  there
• 31:42
  that
• 31:42
  want
• 31:42
  it
• 31:42
  to,
• 31:42
  like,
• 31:42
  look
• 31:43
  perfect,
• 31:44
  find
• 31:44
  a
• 31:44
  quartz
• 31:44
  or
• 31:45
  porcelain.
• 31:45
  I
• 31:45
  like
• 31:45
  porcelain
• 31:46
  a
• 31:46
  little
• 31:46
  bit
• 31:46
  better
• 31:46
  because
• 31:47
  it's
• 31:47
  more
• 31:47
  durable
• 31:48
  and
• 31:48
  you'll
• 31:48
  be
• 31:48
  fine.
• 31:49
  Porcelain
• 31:50
  by
• 31:50
  far,
• 31:50
  I
• 31:50
  think,
• 31:51
  is
• 31:51
  the
• 31:51
  most
• 31:51
  durable
• 31:51
  surface
• 31:52
  you
• 31:52
  can
• 31:52
  put
• 31:52
  down
• 31:52
  there
• 31:53
  in
• 31:53
  slab
• 31:53
  form.
• 31:54
  You
• 31:55
  know,
• 31:55
  it's
• 31:55
  more
• 31:55
  durable
• 31:56
  than
• 31:56
  granite.
• 31:56
  It's
• 31:56
  non
• 31:57
  porous.
• 31:57
  You're
• 31:57
  not
• 31:58
  going
• 31:58
  to
• 31:58
  hurt
• 31:58
  it.
• 31:58
  It'll
• 31:59
  take
• 31:59
  a
• 31:59
  beating
• 31:59
  and
• 32:00
  keep
• 32:00
  on
• 32:00
  ticking.
• 32:01
  So
• 32:01
  don't
• 32:02
  you
• 32:02
  put
• 32:02
  travertine
• 32:03
  on
• 32:03
  the
• 32:03
  floor.
• 32:04
  Oh,
• 32:05
  man.
• 32:06
  I'm
• 32:06
  still
• 32:06
  scarred
• 32:07
  from
• 32:07
  the
• 32:07
  2000s
• 32:08
  of
• 32:08
  travertine.
• 32:09
  You
• 32:10
  would
• 32:10
  get
• 32:10
  people
• 32:10
  with
• 32:11
  acidic
• 32:12
  water.
• 32:13
  And
• 32:13
  I
• 32:13
  saw
• 32:14
  this
• 32:14
  happen
• 32:14
  twice.
• 32:15
  They
• 32:15
  did
• 32:16
  the
• 32:16
  travertine
• 32:17
  tile
• 32:18
  in
• 32:18
  about
• 32:18
  nine
• 32:19
  years.
• 32:20
  The
• 32:20
  water
• 32:20
  was
• 32:21
  hitting
• 32:21
  the
• 32:21
  shower
• 32:22
  wall
• 32:22
  and
• 32:22
  it
• 32:22
  wore
• 32:23
  through
• 32:23
  the
• 32:23
  travertine.
• 32:24
  And
• 32:24
  they
• 32:25
  were
• 32:25
  seeing
• 32:26
  the
• 32:26
  mastic
• 32:26
  come
• 32:27
  through
• 32:27
  from
• 32:28
  where
• 32:28
  the
• 32:28
  water
• 32:29
  wore
• 32:29
  through
• 32:30
  it.
• 32:30
  Yeah,
• 32:32
  I
• 32:32
  mean,
• 32:33
  it's
• 32:33
  beautiful
• 32:34
  stuff.
• 32:34
  I
• 32:35
  put
• 32:35
  a
• 32:35
  ton
• 32:35
  of
• 32:35
  it
• 32:36
  in.
• 32:36
  But
• 32:36
  don't
• 32:37
  put
• 32:37
  it
• 32:37
  on
• 32:37
  your
• 32:37
  kitchen.
• 32:38
  Floor,
• 32:39
  Vicky,
• 32:39
  or
• 32:40
  anything
• 32:40
  polished
• 32:41
  as
• 32:41
  well.
• 32:41
  No
• 32:42
  polished
• 32:42
  tiles
• 32:43
  because
• 32:43
  that
• 32:43
  gets
• 32:43
  slick.
• 32:44
  Yeah.
• 32:46
  So,
• 32:46
  yeah,
• 32:46
  not
• 32:46
  good.
• 32:47
  Not
• 32:47
  good.
• 32:48
  Well,
• 32:48
  we're
• 32:48
  running
• 32:49
  out
• 32:49
  of
• 32:49
  time
• 32:49
  on
• 32:49
  this
• 32:49
  one
• 32:50
  here.
• 32:50
  Let's
• 32:50
  wrap
• 32:51
  this
• 32:51
  up
• 32:51
  when
• 32:51
  we
• 32:51
  come
• 32:51
  back,
• 32:52
  Johnny,
• 32:52
  because
• 32:52
  I
• 32:52
  Tell
• 32:53
  you
• 32:53
  what,
• 32:53
  we
• 32:53
  got
• 32:53
  a
• 32:53
  bunch
• 32:53
  to
• 32:54
  go
• 32:54
  through.
• 32:54
  We
• 32:54
  still
• 32:54
  got
• 32:54
  four
• 32:55
  more
• 32:55
  to
• 32:55
  do
• 32:55
  here
• 32:55
  on
• 32:55
  our

• 32:56
  So
• 32:56
  we'll
• 32:57
  do
• 32:57
  that
• 32:57
  just
• 32:57
  as
• 32:57
  soon

• 35:11
  is
• 35:12
  an
• 35:12
  amazing
• 35:13
  one
• 35:13
  because
• 35:14
  I
• 35:14
  watch
• 35:15
  this
• 35:15
  happen
• 35:16
  every

  day.
• 35:17
  I'm

• 35:24
  There's
• 35:24
  40,
• 35:24
  50,000
• 35:25
  people
• 35:25
  in

  of
• 35:30

• 35:30

• 35:31
  that
• 35:31
  are
• 35:31
  in
• 35:32
  there
• 35:32
  are
• 35:33
  not
• 35:33
  from
• 35:33
  the
• 35:33
  brands.
• 35:34
  You
• 35:34
  see
• 35:34
  it
• 35:34
  Home
• 35:35
  Depot.
• 35:36
  It's
• 35:36
  not
• 35:36
  from
• 35:37
  Lowe's,
• 35:37
  it's
• 35:38
  not
• 35:38
  from
• 35:38
  Ikea.
• 35:39
  It's

• 35:41

• 35:44
  The

• 35:45
  manufacturer.
• 35:46
  So
• 35:47
  many
• 35:47
  people
• 35:48
  out
• 35:48
  there
• 35:49
  assume

  custom
• 35:51
  has

• 35:55
  Yeah.
• 35:56
  And
• 35:56
  it
• 35:56
  doesn't.
• 35:57
  You
• 35:58
  have
• 35:58
  to
• 35:58
  consider
• 35:58
  what
• 35:59
  these
• 35:59
  guys
• 35:59
  are
• 35:59
  up
• 36:00
  against.
• 36:00
  Right.
• 36:00
  Like
• 36:00
  it's
• 36:01
  one
• 36:01
  thing.
• 36:02
  I
• 36:02
  don't
• 36:02
  know
• 36:03
  how
• 36:03
  to
• 36:03
  pitch
• 36:03
  all
• 36:04
  this.
• 36:04
  The
• 36:04
  point
• 36:04
  being
• 36:05
  is
• 36:05
  that
• 36:05
  you're
• 36:05
  talking
• 36:05
  about
• 36:06
  a
• 36:06
  five
• 36:06
  man
• 36:07
  team
• 36:07
  up
• 36:07
  against
• 36:07
  a
• 36:07
  craft
• 36:08
  made
• 36:09
  like
• 36:09
  they
• 36:09
  gotta
• 36:10
  cut
• 36:10
  costs
• 36:10
  somewhere.
• 36:11
  Right?
• 36:12
  Yeah.
• 36:12
  And
• 36:13
  that
• 36:13
  means
• 36:14
  maybe
• 36:14
  their
• 36:14
  blades
• 36:15
  aren't
• 36:15
  as
• 36:15
  sharp,
• 36:15
  maybe
• 36:15
  their
• 36:16
  saws
• 36:16
  aren't
• 36:16
  as
• 36:16
  straight.
• 36:17
  Maybe
• 36:17
  they
• 36:18
  are
• 36:18
  in
• 36:18
  a
• 36:18
  hurry
• 36:19
  because
• 36:19
  they
• 36:19
  got
• 36:19
  four
• 36:19
  orders.
• 36:20
  And
• 36:20
  I
• 36:21
  mean.
• 36:21
  Exactly.
• 36:22
  Margins
• 36:22
  are
• 36:22
  tight.
• 36:23
  Help
• 36:24
  us
• 36:24
  thin
• 36:24
  it.
• 36:25
  The
• 36:26
  finisher
• 36:26
  just
• 36:26
  quit
• 36:27
  and
• 36:27
  the
• 36:27
  new
• 36:27
  kid
• 36:28
  that
• 36:28
  was
• 36:28
  boxing
• 36:28
  cabinets
• 36:29
  is
• 36:29
  now
• 36:29
  the
• 36:29
  new
• 36:29
  finisher
• 36:30
  and
• 36:30
  has
• 36:30
  never
• 36:30
  sprayed
• 36:31
  in
• 36:31
  his
• 36:31
  life.
• 36:31
  Right.
• 36:32
  And
• 36:32
  now
• 36:32
  he's
• 36:32
  supposed
• 36:33
  to
• 36:33
  be
• 36:33
  staining
• 36:33
  some
• 36:34
  dark
• 36:34
  maple
• 36:35
  job
• 36:35
  that
• 36:35
  he's
• 36:35
  never
• 36:36
  done
• 36:36
  before.
• 36:36
  And
• 36:37
  it's
• 36:38
  where
• 36:38
  it
• 36:38
  goes.
• 36:39
  It's
• 36:39
  where
• 36:39
  it
• 36:40
  goes.
• 36:40
  And
• 36:41
  so
• 36:41
  many
• 36:42
  times
• 36:42
  you
• 36:43
  think
• 36:43
  about
• 36:43
  and
• 36:43
  people
• 36:44
  rip
• 36:44
  on
• 36:44
  all
• 36:44
  those
• 36:45
  big
• 36:45
  box
• 36:46
  manufacturers
• 36:47
  like
• 36:47
  that.
• 36:47
  Right.
• 36:47
  Well,
• 36:48
  they
• 36:48
  realize
• 36:49
  that
• 36:49
  time
• 36:49
  is
• 36:50
  money
• 36:50
  and
• 36:50
  callbacks
• 36:51
  cost
• 36:51
  them
• 36:51
  money.
• 36:52
  So
• 36:53
  they
• 36:53
  have
• 36:53
  the
• 36:53
  CNC
• 36:54
  machine
• 36:54
  that
• 36:54
  takes
• 36:55
  the
• 36:55
  unit
• 36:55
  of
• 36:55
  plywood.
• 36:56
  Yeah.
• 36:57
  That
• 36:57
  is
• 36:57
  pre
• 36:57
  finished
• 36:58
  and
• 36:59
  is
• 36:59
  cutting
• 37:00
  pieces
• 37:00
  down
• 37:01
  to
• 37:01
  the
• 37:01
  64th
• 37:02
  of
• 37:02
  an
• 37:02
  inch
• 37:03
  and
• 37:03
  kicking
• 37:03
  out
• 37:04
  where
• 37:04
  you
• 37:05
  got
• 37:05
  the
• 37:05
  guy
• 37:05
  showing
• 37:06
  up
• 37:06
  on
• 37:07
  a
• 37:07
  Tuesday
• 37:07
  morning
• 37:08
  that
• 37:08
  watched
• 37:09
  the
• 37:09
  basketball
• 37:09
  game
• 37:10
  last
• 37:10
  night
• 37:10
  that
• 37:10
  probably
• 37:11
  had
• 37:11
  six,
• 37:12
  six
• 37:12
  Beers
• 37:13
  too
• 37:13
  many.
• 37:14
  And
• 37:14
  is
• 37:14
  trying
• 37:14
  to
• 37:14
  focus
• 37:15
  on
• 37:15
  his
• 37:15
  tape
• 37:15
  measure
• 37:16
  to
• 37:16
  make
• 37:16
  sure
• 37:16
  he
• 37:16
  cuts
• 37:17
  the
• 37:17
  box
• 37:17
  correctly
• 37:17
  on
• 37:18
  the
• 37:18
  table
• 37:18
  saw.
• 37:19
  Sometimes
• 37:20
  it
• 37:20
  doesn't
• 37:20
  go
• 37:20
  as
• 37:20
  planned.
• 37:21
  I'll
• 37:21
  tell
• 37:21
  you
• 37:22
  what
• 37:22
  I
• 37:22
  mean.
• 37:23
  And
• 37:23
  we
• 37:23
  say
• 37:23
  this,
• 37:24
  but
• 37:24
  we've
• 37:24
  dealt
• 37:24
  with
• 37:25
  some
• 37:25
  really
• 37:25
  good
• 37:25
  custom
• 37:26
  shops,
• 37:26
  you
• 37:26
  and
• 37:27
  I
• 37:27
  both,
• 37:27
  a
• 37:27
  hundred
• 37:27
  percent.
• 37:28
  So
• 37:28
  they
• 37:28
  are
• 37:28
  out
• 37:29
  there.
• 37:29
  So
• 37:29
  let's
• 37:30
  not
• 37:30
  bag
• 37:30
  on
• 37:30
  all
• 37:30
  of
• 37:31
  them,
• 37:31
  but
• 37:32
  be
• 37:33
  forewarned
• 37:34
  and
• 37:34
  do
• 37:34
  some
• 37:35
  research.
• 37:36
  Right.
• 37:36
  Before
• 37:37
  you
• 37:37
  just
• 37:37
  go
• 37:37
  buying
• 37:38
  some
• 37:38
  snake
• 37:38
  oil.
• 37:39
  Peddler.
• 37:39
  I'm
• 37:40
  a
• 37:40
  custom
• 37:40
  cabinet
• 37:40
  maker.
• 37:41
  For
• 37:41
  how
• 37:41
  long?
• 37:42
  And
• 37:42
  who
• 37:42
  are
• 37:43
  your
• 37:43
  clients?
• 37:43
  And
• 37:43
  give
• 37:44
  me
• 37:44
  some
• 37:44
  references
• 37:45
  and.
• 37:45
  Right.
• 37:46
  Custom
• 37:47
  cabinet,
• 37:48
  custom
• 37:48
  cabinet
• 37:48
  shop.
• 37:49
  Been
• 37:49
  around
• 37:49
  for
• 37:49
  20
• 37:50
  years.
• 37:51
  I'll
• 37:51
  buy
• 37:51
  that.
• 37:52
  Yeah,
• 37:52
  yeah.
• 37:53
  But
• 37:53
  their
• 37:54
  weakest
• 37:54
  point
• 37:55
  is
• 37:55
  usually
• 37:56
  the
• 37:56
  fish.
• 37:57
  They
• 37:57
  got
• 37:57
  it
• 37:58
  quit
• 37:58
  some
• 37:59
  big
• 37:59
  shop
• 37:59
  and
• 38:00
  just
• 38:00
  started
• 38:00
  two
• 38:00
  years
• 38:01
  ago
• 38:01
  and
• 38:01
  is
• 38:01
  doing
• 38:01
  custom
• 38:02
  cabinets.
• 38:03
  Yeah.
• 38:03
  Hold
• 38:03
  off
• 38:04
  on
• 38:04
  that
• 38:04
  one.
• 38:05
  Yeah.
• 38:06
  Finishes
• 38:06
  where
• 38:06
  the
• 38:07
  problems
• 38:07
  always
• 38:08
  pop
• 38:08
  up.
• 38:08
  Right?
• 38:09
  Yeah.
• 38:09
  Because
• 38:10
  finishing
• 38:10
  is
• 38:10
  not
• 38:11
  easy.
• 38:12
  It's
• 38:12
  not.
• 38:12
  And
• 38:13
  space
• 38:13
  alone
• 38:14
  that
• 38:14
  you
• 38:14
  need
• 38:14
  to
• 38:14
  do
• 38:14
  it
• 38:15
  correctly
• 38:15
  is.
• 38:16
  Puts
• 38:16
  half
• 38:16
  the
• 38:16
  guys
• 38:17
  out
• 38:17
  of
• 38:17
  the
• 38:17
  ball.
• 38:17
  Out
• 38:18
  of
• 38:18
  the.
• 38:18
  Absolutely
• 38:19
  right.
• 38:20
  Some
• 38:20
  of
• 38:20
  my
• 38:20
  warning
• 38:20
  signs
• 38:21
  that
• 38:21
  I
• 38:21
  see
• 38:21
  out
• 38:22
  there
• 38:22
  is
• 38:22
  when
• 38:23
  they
• 38:23
  tell
• 38:23
  the
• 38:23
  homeowner
• 38:24
  to
• 38:24
  go
• 38:24
  to
• 38:25
  the
• 38:25
  Home
• 38:25
  Depot
• 38:25
  or
• 38:25
  the
• 38:26
  Lowe's
• 38:26
  or
• 38:26
  the
• 38:26
  Menards
• 38:27
  or
• 38:27
  whatever,
• 38:28
  grab
• 38:28
  some
• 38:28
  stain
• 38:29
  and
• 38:29
  recreate
• 38:29
  the
• 38:30
  stain
• 38:30
  color
• 38:30
  and
• 38:30
  bring
• 38:30
  it
• 38:31
  into
• 38:31
  me
• 38:31
  and
• 38:31
  tell
• 38:31
  me
• 38:31
  what
• 38:32
  you
• 38:32
  got.
• 38:32
  Oh,
• 38:33
  yeah.
• 38:33
  If
• 38:33
  they're
• 38:33
  buying
• 38:34
  the
• 38:34
  finish
• 38:35
  off
• 38:35
  the
• 38:35
  shelf
• 38:36
  of
• 38:36
  their
• 38:36
  local
• 38:36
  store,
• 38:37
  that's
• 38:38
  the
• 38:38
  next
• 38:38
  one.
• 38:39
  If
• 38:39
  they're
• 38:40
  running
• 38:40
  down
• 38:40
  to
• 38:40
  Home
• 38:41
  Depot,
• 38:41
  Lowe's,
• 38:41
  even
• 38:42
  Sherwin
• 38:42
  Williams
• 38:43
  off
• 38:43
  the
• 38:43
  shelf
• 38:43
  and
• 38:43
  they're
• 38:44
  buying
• 38:44
  it,
• 38:45
  that's
• 38:45
  a
• 38:45
  no
• 38:45
  go
• 38:45
  for
• 38:46
  me.
• 38:46
  Can't
• 38:47
  just
• 38:48
  wipe
• 38:48
  some
• 38:48
  Minwax
• 38:49
  on
• 38:49
  there
• 38:49
  and
• 38:49
  seal
• 38:50
  it
• 38:50
  in
• 38:50
  the
• 38:50
  clear.
• 38:51
  Call
• 38:51
  again.
• 38:52
  Oh,
• 38:52
  dude.
• 38:53
  So
• 38:53
  horrible.
• 38:54
  And
• 38:54
  these
• 38:54
  are
• 38:55
  the
• 38:55
  things
• 38:55
  that
• 38:55
  I
• 38:55
  see
• 38:55
  out
• 38:56
  there.
• 38:56
  And
• 38:56
  it's
• 38:56
  just
• 38:57
  three
• 38:57
  times
• 38:58
  a
• 38:58
  week
• 38:58
  I
• 38:59
  can
• 38:59
  say
• 38:59
  there
• 38:59
  is
• 38:59
  somebody
• 39:00
  with
• 39:00
  this
• 39:01
  awful
• 39:02
  cabinet
• 39:03
  that
• 39:03
  I'm
• 39:03
  just
• 39:03
  like,
• 39:03
  oh,
• 39:04
  it's
• 39:04
  so
• 39:04
  horrible.
• 39:04
  I
• 39:05
  feel
• 39:05
  so
• 39:05
  bad
• 39:05
  for
• 39:05
  him.
• 39:06
  And
• 39:06
  two
• 39:07
  more
• 39:07
  warning
• 39:07
  signs
• 39:08
  before
• 39:08
  we
• 39:09
  jump
• 39:09
  over
• 39:09
  to
• 39:09
  the
• 39:09
  next
• 39:10
  one
• 39:10
  here
• 39:10
  that
• 39:10
  I
• 39:10
  see.
• 39:11
  When
• 39:12
  you
• 39:12
  order
• 39:12
  that
• 39:12
  cabinet
• 39:13
  and
• 39:13
  it
• 39:13
  goes
• 39:13
  into
• 39:13
  production,
• 39:14
  that
• 39:14
  cabinet
• 39:15
  package,
• 39:16
  you
• 39:16
  should
• 39:17
  have
• 39:17
  a
• 39:17
  sample
• 39:18
  that
• 39:18
  you've
• 39:18
  approved.
• 39:19
  That's.
• 39:20
  You
• 39:20
  should
• 39:20
  have
• 39:20
  a
• 39:20
  stain
• 39:21
  color
• 39:21
  or
• 39:21
  a
• 39:21
  paint
• 39:22
  color
• 39:22
  you've
• 39:22
  approved.
• 39:23
  There
• 39:23
  should
• 39:23
  be
• 39:24
  drawings
• 39:24
  that
• 39:25
  you
• 39:25
  approve.
• 39:25
  So
• 39:25
  many
• 39:26
  times
• 39:27
  I
• 39:27
  see
• 39:27
  people
• 39:28
  do
• 39:28
  that.
• 39:28
  And
• 39:29
  here's
• 39:30
  the
• 39:30
  biggest
• 39:30
  one.
• 39:31
  If
• 39:31
  they're
• 39:31
  staining
• 39:32
  cabinets
• 39:33
  for
• 39:33
  you
• 39:33
  and
• 39:33
  they're
• 39:33
  going
• 39:34
  to
• 39:34
  stain
• 39:34
  them
• 39:34
  in
• 39:34
  the
• 39:35
  field,
• 39:36
  you
• 39:36
  hired
• 39:36
  the
• 39:36
  wrong
• 39:37
  cabinet
• 39:37
  shop.
• 39:38
  I
• 39:38
  can't
• 39:39
  tell
• 39:39
  you
• 39:39
  how
• 39:39
  many
• 39:39
  times
• 39:40
  I
• 39:40
  see
• 39:40
  here's
• 39:41
  my
• 39:41
  white
• 39:41
  oak
• 39:41
  kitchen
• 39:42
  that's
• 39:42
  raw
• 39:43
  getting
• 39:43
  installed.
• 39:44
  You
• 39:44
  can
• 39:44
  see
• 39:44
  that
• 39:45
  they're
• 39:45
  drywallers
• 39:46
  and
• 39:46
  finishers,
• 39:47
  and
• 39:47
  so
• 39:48
  it's
• 39:48
  just
• 39:48
  soaking
• 39:48
  up
• 39:49
  all
• 39:49
  the
• 39:49
  moisture.
• 39:50
  And
• 39:50
  I
• 39:51
  guarantee
• 39:51
  you,
• 39:51
  you're
• 39:51
  going
• 39:51
  to
• 39:52
  have
• 39:52
  warped
• 39:52
  doors.
• 39:53
  They're
• 39:53
  going
• 39:53
  to
• 39:53
  say
• 39:54
  it
• 39:54
  was
• 39:54
  installed
• 39:54
  in
• 39:55
  an
• 39:55
  improper
• 39:55
  situation
• 39:56
  because
• 39:56
  of
• 39:56
  the
• 39:56
  humidity.
• 39:57
  That's
• 39:58
  a
• 39:58
  job
• 39:58
  site
• 39:58
  because
• 39:59
  you've
• 39:59
  got
• 39:59
  tile
• 39:59
  people
• 40:00
  in
• 40:00
  there.
• 40:01
  It's
• 40:01
  the
• 40:01
  highest
• 40:02
  humidity
• 40:02
  of
• 40:02
  the
• 40:02
  entire
• 40:03
  build.
• 40:04
  And
• 40:04
  you
• 40:04
  never
• 40:05
  want
• 40:05
  to
• 40:05
  put
• 40:05
  unfinished
• 40:06
  cabinets
• 40:06
  into
• 40:07
  a
• 40:07
  house,
• 40:07
  period.
• 40:08
  No.
• 40:09
  And
• 40:09
  the
• 40:09
  unfortunate
• 40:09
  part
• 40:10
  is
• 40:10
  there
• 40:10
  are
• 40:10
  those
• 40:10
  outlet
• 40:11
  places
• 40:12
  where
• 40:12
  you
• 40:12
  can
• 40:12
  go
• 40:13
  and
• 40:13
  buy
• 40:13
  the
• 40:14
  raw,
• 40:14
  stick
• 40:15
  them
• 40:15
  in.
• 40:15
  You're
• 40:15
  like,
• 40:15
  oh,
• 40:16
  we
• 40:16
  saved
• 40:17
  2,000
• 40:17
  bucks.
• 40:18
  No,
• 40:18
  actually,
• 40:19
  you
• 40:20
  burned
• 40:20
  8,000,
• 40:21
  because
• 40:21
  you're
• 40:21
  gonna
• 40:21
  be
• 40:22
  replacing
• 40:22
  them
• 40:22
  in
• 40:22
  three
• 40:23
  years.
• 40:23
  And
• 40:23
  then
• 40:24
  the
• 40:24
  other
• 40:24
  problem
• 40:24
  is
• 40:24
  that
• 40:24
  you're
• 40:25
  bolting
• 40:25
  all
• 40:25
  these
• 40:25
  cabinets
• 40:26
  together.
• 40:26
  Right.
• 40:26
  And
• 40:26
  now
• 40:27
  the
• 40:27
  edges
• 40:27
  touching
• 40:28
  aren't
• 40:28
  finished.
• 40:29
  So
• 40:29
  that's
• 40:30
  just
• 40:30
  gonna
• 40:30
  soak
• 40:30
  moisture
• 40:31
  in.
• 40:31
  If
• 40:31
  you
• 40:32
  have
• 40:32
  that
• 40:32
  little.
• 40:33
  The
• 40:33
  dishwasher
• 40:34
  is
• 40:34
  always
• 40:34
  steaming,
• 40:35
  you
• 40:35
  know,
• 40:35
  when
• 40:36
  it's
• 40:36
  drying.
• 40:36
  So
• 40:36
  there's
• 40:37
  always
• 40:37
  humidity
• 40:37
  there.
• 40:38
  These
• 40:38
  are
• 40:39
  all
• 40:39
  those
• 40:39
  problems
• 40:39
  you
• 40:40
  really
• 40:40
  got
• 40:40
  to
• 40:40
  be
• 40:40
  careful
• 40:41
  of,
• 40:41
  and
• 40:42
  it's
• 40:42
  part
• 40:42
  of
• 40:43
  the
• 40:43
  process
• 40:43
  there.
• 40:44
  So
• 40:44
  if
• 40:44
  they're
• 40:45
  sending
• 40:45
  you
• 40:45
  unfinished
• 40:46
  cabinets,
• 40:46
  that's
• 40:47
  a
• 40:47
  hard
• 40:47
  no.
• 40:48
  If
• 40:48
  they're.
• 40:49
  If
• 40:49
  they
• 40:50
  can't
• 40:50
  get
• 40:51
  a
• 40:51
  good
• 40:51
  sized
• 40:51
  sample,
• 40:52
  make
• 40:52
  sure
• 40:52
  that
• 40:52
  it's
• 40:52
  the
• 40:53
  exact
• 40:53
  color
• 40:53
  that
• 40:53
  you've
• 40:54
  got.
• 40:55
  I
• 40:55
  see
• 40:55
  so
• 40:55
  many
• 40:55
  people
• 40:56
  that
• 40:56
  will
• 40:56
  place
• 40:56
  the
• 40:56
  order,
• 40:57
  though.
• 40:57
  Yeah,
• 40:57
  we
• 40:57
  got
• 40:57
  the
• 40:57
  order
• 40:58
  placed.
• 40:58
  Really?
• 40:58
  What
• 40:58
  would
• 40:59
  Species.
• 40:59
  Oh,
• 41:00
  we
• 41:00
  haven't
• 41:00
  figured
• 41:00
  that
• 41:00
  out
• 41:00
  yet.
• 41:01
  What
• 41:01
  do
• 41:01
  you
• 41:01
  mean
• 41:01
  you
• 41:02
  haven't
• 41:02
  figured
• 41:02
  that
• 41:02
  out
• 41:02
  yet?
• 41:03
  Yeah,
• 41:04
  so
• 41:04
  get
• 41:05
  it
• 41:05
  all
• 41:05
  written
• 41:05
  out,
• 41:06
  have
• 41:06
  it
• 41:06
  under
• 41:06
  contract,
• 41:07
  have
• 41:07
  samples,
• 41:08
  and
• 41:08
  then
• 41:08
  you
• 41:09
  can
• 41:09
  compare
• 41:10
  that
• 41:10
  because
• 41:10
  you
• 41:11
  need
• 41:11
  to
• 41:11
  be
• 41:11
  able
• 41:11
  to
• 41:11
  say,
• 41:11
  hey,
• 41:12
  this
• 41:12
  is
• 41:12
  what
• 41:13
  it's
• 41:13
  supposed
• 41:13
  to
• 41:13
  look
• 41:13
  like.
• 41:14
  And
• 41:14
  what
• 41:14
  shows
• 41:14
  up
• 41:15
  needs
• 41:15
  to
• 41:15
  look
• 41:15
  the
• 41:16
  same.
• 41:16
  I
• 41:17
  can
• 41:17
  save
• 41:17
  you
• 41:17
  a
• 41:17
  ton
• 41:18
  of
• 41:18
  headaches
• 41:18
  with
• 41:18
  that
• 41:19
  now.
• 41:20
  And
• 41:20
  if
• 41:20
  it
• 41:20
  doesn't,
• 41:21
  there's
• 41:22
  another
• 41:22
  eight
• 41:22
  weeks.
• 41:23
  Yeah.
• 41:24
  Oh,
• 41:24
  yeah.
• 41:24
  If
• 41:25
  not
• 41:25
  more,
• 41:25
  because
• 41:25
  they're
• 41:25
  going
• 41:26
  to
• 41:26
  take
• 41:26
  three
• 41:26
  or
• 41:26
  four
• 41:26
  weeks
• 41:27
  to
• 41:27
  debate
• 41:27
  the
• 41:28
  repair.
• 41:29
  That's
• 41:29
  the
• 41:29
  biggest
• 41:30
  one.
• 41:30
  Next
• 41:31
  one
• 41:31
  on
• 41:31
  here.
• 41:31
  Hiring
• 41:32
  the
• 41:32
  lowest
• 41:32
  bidder
• 41:32
  for
• 41:32
  design
• 41:33
  and
• 41:33
  install
• 41:34
  up
• 41:34
  there,
• 41:34
  the
• 41:34
  low
• 41:35
  price.
• 41:36
  I
• 41:36
  tell
• 41:36
  you
• 41:36
  what,
• 41:37
  there
• 41:37
  are
• 41:38
  some
• 41:38
  great
• 41:38
  cabinet
• 41:39
  installers
• 41:39
  that
• 41:39
  do
• 41:40
  spec
• 41:40
  house
• 41:40
  kitchens
• 41:41
  that
• 41:41
  can
• 41:41
  be
• 41:41
  in
• 41:42
  and
• 41:42
  they
• 41:42
  can
• 41:42
  put
• 41:42
  a
• 41:43
  kitchen
• 41:43
  and
• 41:43
  two
• 41:43
  bathrooms
• 41:44
  in
• 41:44
  a
• 41:44
  day.
• 41:45
  Yep.
• 41:46
  They're
• 41:46
  in
• 41:46
  and
• 41:46
  out.
• 41:47
  Yep.
• 41:47
  There's
• 41:48
  no
• 41:48
  moldings.
• 41:49
  There's
• 41:50
  no
• 41:50
  crown
• 41:50
  molding.
• 41:50
  It's
• 41:51
  very
• 41:51
  simple.
• 41:52
  And
• 41:53
  if
• 41:53
  you've
• 41:53
  got
• 41:54
  all
• 41:54
  of
• 41:54
  these
• 41:54
  details
• 41:55
  stacked,
• 41:55
  crowns,
• 41:56
  recessed,
• 41:57
  this.
• 41:58
  You
• 41:58
  better
• 41:59
  Have
• 41:59
  a
• 41:59
  craftsperson
• 42:00
  in
• 42:00
  there
• 42:00
  to
• 42:00
  put
• 42:00
  that
• 42:01
  together
• 42:01
  because
• 42:02
  those
• 42:03
  details
• 42:03
  matter.
• 42:04
  And
• 42:04
  if
• 42:04
  you
• 42:04
  get
• 42:04
  the
• 42:04
  wrong
• 42:05
  person,
• 42:05
  they
• 42:05
  just
• 42:05
  put
• 42:06
  up
• 42:06
  inch
• 42:07
  and
• 42:07
  a
• 42:07
  quarter
• 42:07
  scribe
• 42:08
  around
• 42:08
  everything.
• 42:09
  It
• 42:09
  looks
• 42:09
  horrible.
• 42:10
  It
• 42:10
  looks
• 42:11
  horrible.
• 42:11
  And
• 42:11
  you're
• 42:12
  gonna,
• 42:12
  yeah,
• 42:13
  you're
• 42:13
  gonna
• 42:13
  spend
• 42:14
  a
• 42:14
  bunch
• 42:14
  of
• 42:14
  money,
• 42:14
  whatever.
• 42:15
  Yeah,
• 42:15
  I,
• 42:15
  I'm
• 42:16
  just
• 42:16
  gonna
• 42:16
  bite
• 42:16
  my
• 42:16
  tongue
• 42:17
  on
• 42:17
  this
• 42:17
  one.
• 42:17
  Never
• 42:18
  mind.
• 42:18
  I'm
• 42:18
  crossing
• 42:19
  my
• 42:19
  arms
• 42:19
  and
• 42:20
  going
• 42:20
  home.
• 42:21
  Yeah.
• 42:21
  It
• 42:22
  just
• 42:22
  gets
• 42:22
  expensive.
• 42:23
  It
• 42:23
  gets
• 42:23
  expensive,
• 42:23
  guys.
• 42:24
  That's
• 42:24
  one
• 42:24
  of
• 42:24
  the
• 42:24
  biggest
• 42:25
  one.
• 42:25
  And
• 42:26
  then
• 42:26
  the
• 42:26
  next
• 42:26
  one
• 42:27
  here,
• 42:28
  I
• 42:28
  think
• 42:28
  it's
• 42:28
  important
• 42:29
  is
• 42:30
  using
• 42:30
  inexpensive
• 42:31
  hardware,
• 42:32
  especially
• 42:33
  when
• 42:33
  it
• 42:33
  comes
• 42:34
  to
• 42:34
  cabinet
• 42:34
  handles.
• 42:36
  When
• 42:36
  you're
• 42:36
  drilling
• 42:37
  a
• 42:37
  hole
• 42:37
  in
• 42:37
  a
• 42:37
  drawer
• 42:38
  face
• 42:39
  and
• 42:39
  it
• 42:39
  might
• 42:39
  be
• 42:40
  a
• 42:41
  metric
• 42:41
  size
• 42:41
  versus
• 42:42
  inches
• 42:42
  or
• 42:43
  whatever,
• 42:44
  get
• 42:44
  what
• 42:44
  you're
• 42:45
  going
• 42:45
  to
• 42:45
  get
• 42:45
  and
• 42:45
  put
• 42:45
  it
• 42:46
  on
• 42:46
  there.
• 42:46
  And
• 42:46
  yeah,
• 42:47
  they
• 42:47
  can
• 42:47
  be
• 42:47
  expensive.
• 42:47
  But
• 42:48
  it's
• 42:48
  the
• 42:48
  difference
• 42:48
  between
• 42:49
  the
• 42:49
  $2
• 42:49
  pop
• 42:50
  metal
• 42:50
  one
• 42:50
  off
• 42:50
  your
• 42:51
  home
• 42:51
  improvement
• 42:52
  store
• 42:52
  that
• 42:53
  lasts
• 42:53
  a
• 42:53
  year
• 42:53
  and
• 42:53
  now
• 42:54
  you're
• 42:54
  driving
• 42:54
  around
• 42:54
  trying
• 42:55
  to
• 42:55
  figure
• 42:55
  out
• 42:56
  what
• 42:56
  can
• 42:56
  I
• 42:56
  fill
• 42:57
  those
• 42:57
  holes
• 42:57
  with
• 42:57
  to
• 42:58
  make
• 42:58
  it
• 42:58
  work
• 42:59
  because
• 42:59
  they
• 42:59
  failed.
• 43:00
  Yeah,
• 43:00
  spend
• 43:01
  the
• 43:01
  money
• 43:01
  and
• 43:01
  get
• 43:01
  the
• 43:01
  good
• 43:02
  stuff.
• 43:02
  Yeah,
• 43:03
  it
• 43:03
  makes
• 43:03
  a
• 43:03
  difference.
• 43:04
  And
• 43:04
  yeah.
• 43:04
  And
• 43:05
  right.
• 43:05
  And
• 43:06
  yeah,
• 43:06
  the
• 43:07
  sizes
• 43:07
  aren't
• 43:08
  always
• 43:08
  exactly
• 43:09
  the
• 43:09
  same
• 43:09
  or
• 43:10
  they're
• 43:10
  only
• 43:10
  the
• 43:10
  same
• 43:11
  for
• 43:11
  a
• 43:11
  year
• 43:11
  and
• 43:12
  then
• 43:12
  you
• 43:12
  go
• 43:12
  back
• 43:12
  next
• 43:12
  year
• 43:13
  and
• 43:13
  you're
• 43:13
  like,
• 43:13
  I
• 43:13
  wanna
• 43:14
  know.
• 43:14
  Yeah,
• 43:14
  it's
• 43:15
  an
• 43:15
  eighth
• 43:15
  inch
• 43:15
  off.
• 43:16
  That's
• 43:16
  a,
• 43:16
  that's
• 43:16
  a
• 43:16
  lot
• 43:17
  of
• 43:17
  holes.
• 43:18
  You
• 43:18
  know
• 43:19
  how
• 43:19
  many
• 43:19
  handles
• 43:19
  I've
• 43:20
  tried
• 43:20
  to
• 43:20
  bend
• 43:20
  into
• 43:21
  place
• 43:21
  and
• 43:21
  then
• 43:22
  rip
• 43:23
  the
• 43:23
  handle
• 43:23
  because
• 43:24
  I'm
• 43:24
  jamming
• 43:25
  the
• 43:25
  screw
• 43:25
  in
• 43:25
  there.
• 43:26
  Because
• 43:26
  I
• 43:26
  want.
• 43:26
  Yeah,
• 43:27
  though
• 43:27
  it
• 43:27
  happens.
• 43:28
  Yeah,
• 43:28
  it
• 43:29
  does.
• 43:29
  So
• 43:29
  get
• 43:29
  the
• 43:30
  good
• 43:30
  stuff
• 43:30
  because
• 43:30
  that's
• 43:31
  the
• 43:31
  wearing
• 43:31
  part
• 43:31
  of
• 43:31
  the
• 43:32
  kitchen.
• 43:32
  That's
• 43:32
  the
• 43:32
  part
• 43:33
  that
• 43:33
  the
• 43:33
  oils,
• 43:34
  the
• 43:34
  grease,
• 43:35
  the
• 43:35
  rings
• 43:35
  are
• 43:36
  going
• 43:36
  to
• 43:36
  bounce
• 43:36
  off
• 43:36
  of
• 43:37
  the,
• 43:37
  that
• 43:38
  kind
• 43:38
  of
• 43:38
  stuff.
• 43:38
  So
• 43:39
  plan
• 43:39
  ahead,
• 43:39
  get
• 43:39
  the
• 43:40
  good
• 43:40
  stuff.
• 43:40
  It
• 43:40
  will
• 43:41
  last
• 43:41
  you
• 43:41
  a
• 43:41
  lifetime
• 43:42
  if
• 43:42
  you
• 43:42
  get
• 43:42
  that
• 43:42
  stuff.
• 43:43
  And
• 43:43
  then
• 43:43
  the
• 43:43
  last
• 43:44
  one
• 43:44
  here
• 43:44
  on
• 43:44
  the
• 43:44
  list
• 43:44
  here,
• 43:45
  brother,
• 43:45
  before
• 43:45
  we
• 43:45
  go,
• 43:46
  is
• 43:46
  assuming
• 43:47
  open
• 43:47
  concept
• 43:47
  kitchens
• 43:48
  fit
• 43:48
  all
• 43:49
  lifestyles.
• 43:50
  Knocking
• 43:50
  down
• 43:51
  the
• 43:51
  walls
• 43:52
  and
• 43:53
  moving
• 43:53
  the
• 43:53
  load
• 43:53
  bearing
• 43:55
  walls
• 43:55
  and
• 43:55
  all
• 43:56
  that
• 43:56
  stuff
• 43:57
  just
• 43:57
  so
• 43:57
  people
• 43:57
  can
• 43:58
  see
• 43:58
  you
• 43:58
  in
• 43:58
  there.
• 43:58
  And
• 43:59
  if
• 43:59
  you're
• 43:59
  entertaining,
• 44:00
  maybe
• 44:00
  you
• 44:01
  want
• 44:01
  to
• 44:01
  be
• 44:01
  able
• 44:01
  to
• 44:01
  shut
• 44:02
  that
• 44:02
  door
• 44:02
  and
• 44:02
  leave
• 44:02
  the
• 44:03
  dirty
• 44:03
  kitchen
• 44:04
  so
• 44:04
  you
• 44:04
  can
• 44:04
  be
• 44:05
  out
• 44:05
  entertaining
• 44:06
  versus
• 44:06
  spending
• 44:07
  half
• 44:07
  the
• 44:07
  time
• 44:08
  cleaning
• 44:08
  up
• 44:08
  that
• 44:08
  kitchen
• 44:09
  for
• 44:09
  your
• 44:09
  dinner
• 44:10
  party.
• 44:11
  Sometimes
• 44:11
  having
• 44:12
  that
• 44:12
  kitchen
• 44:13
  around
• 44:13
  the
• 44:13
  corner
• 44:14
  is
• 44:14
  not
• 44:14
  a
• 44:15
  bad
• 44:15
  thing.
• 44:16
  Yeah,
• 44:16
  that's
• 44:17
  a
• 44:17
  valid
• 44:17
  point
• 44:17
  actually.
• 44:18
  I
• 44:18
  mean
• 44:18
  I
• 44:19
  love,
• 44:19
  I,
• 44:20
  I
• 44:20
  love
• 44:21
  the
• 44:21
  kitchen
• 44:21
  being
• 44:21
  open.
• 44:22
  And
• 44:22
  it's
• 44:22
  true.
• 44:23
  Everybody
• 44:24
  hoards
• 44:24
  in
• 44:24
  the
• 44:24
  kitchen,
• 44:25
  right?
• 44:25
  Or
• 44:25
  at
• 44:26
  an
• 44:26
  island
• 44:26
  or
• 44:27
  a
• 44:27
  bar
• 44:27
  or
• 44:27
  whatever.
• 44:29
  And
• 44:29
  it's
• 44:29
  fun.
• 44:30
  But
• 44:30
  you're
• 44:31
  right,
• 44:31
  you
• 44:31
  know,
• 44:31
  when
• 44:32
  the
• 44:32
  parties,
• 44:32
  when
• 44:33
  you're
• 44:33
  done
• 44:33
  eating,
• 44:33
  there's
• 44:34
  this
• 44:34
  big
• 44:34
  mess
• 44:34
  there.
• 44:34
  And
• 44:35
  there's
• 44:35
  always
• 44:35
  like
• 44:36
  two
• 44:36
  people
• 44:36
  in
• 44:36
  the
• 44:37
  kitchen
• 44:37
  cleaning
• 44:37
  that.
• 44:38
  You
• 44:38
  should
• 44:39
  be
• 44:39
  visiting,
• 44:39
  but
• 44:40
  you
• 44:40
  gotta
• 44:40
  clean
• 44:40
  the
• 44:40
  kitchen
• 44:41
  because
• 44:41
  it's
• 44:41
  horrifying.
• 44:43
  Yeah.
• 44:43
  If
• 44:44
  it's
• 44:44
  around
• 44:44
  the
• 44:44
  corner,
• 44:44
  you
• 44:45
  think
• 44:45
  about
• 44:45
  it.
• 44:45
  Yeah,
• 44:45
  we'll
• 44:46
  deal
• 44:46
  with
• 44:46
  that
• 44:46
  later.
• 44:46
  Let's
• 44:47
  go
• 44:47
  play
• 44:47
  cards.
• 44:48
  Yeah.
• 44:48
  You
• 44:48
  think
• 44:49
  of
• 44:49
  like
• 44:49
  Frank
• 44:49
  Lloyd
• 44:50
  Wright,
• 44:50
  we
• 44:50
  got
• 44:50
  to
• 44:50
  go
• 44:51
  out
• 44:51
  and
• 44:51
  wrap
• 44:51
  this
• 44:51
  one
• 44:52
  up.
• 44:52
  But
• 44:52
  Frank
• 44:52
  Lloyd
• 44:53
  Wright,
• 44:53
  you
• 44:53
  go
• 44:53
  in
• 44:53
  his
• 44:53
  kitchens,
• 44:53
  you
• 44:54
  go,
• 44:54
  wow.
• 44:54
  Not
• 44:55
  impressive
• 44:55
  on
• 44:55
  many
• 44:56
  of
• 44:56
  them.
• 44:56
  It's
• 44:57
  because
• 44:57
  they
• 44:57
  were
• 44:57
  utility
• 44:58
  room.
• 44:58
  They
• 44:58
  were
• 44:58
  no
• 44:58
  different
• 44:58
  than
• 44:59
  the
• 44:59
  laundry
• 44:59
  room
• 44:59
  back
• 44:59
  in
• 44:59
  the
• 44:59
  day.
• 45:00
  And
• 45:00
  only
• 45:00
  into
• 45:01
  his
• 45:01
  later
• 45:01
  years
• 45:02
  did
• 45:02
  he
• 45:02
  start
• 45:02
  doing
• 45:03
  stuff
• 45:03
  that
• 45:03
  is
• 45:03
  what
• 45:03
  I
• 45:04
  would
• 45:04
  call
• 45:04
  decorative
• 45:05
  and
• 45:05
  part
• 45:06
  of
• 45:06
  the
• 45:06
  house.
• 45:07
  It's
• 45:07
  pretty
• 45:07
  amazing.
• 45:08
  Johnny,
• 45:09
  thanks
• 45:09
  for
• 45:09
  being
• 45:09
  a
• 45:09
  part
• 45:10
  of
• 45:10
  this
• 45:10
  one
• 45:10
  today,
• 45:10
  man.
• 45:10
  I
• 45:10
  always
• 45:11
  appreciate
• 45:11
  it.
• 45:11
  It's
• 45:12
  always
• 45:12
  great
• 45:12
  to
• 45:12
  hear
• 45:12
  your
• 45:13
  take
• 45:13
  on
• 45:13
  it
• 45:14
  from
• 45:14
  the
• 45:14
  installer
• 45:15
  contractor
• 45:15
  point
• 45:15
  of
• 45:16
  view
• 45:16
  versus
• 45:16
  the
• 45:17
  designer
• 45:17
  point
• 45:17
  of
• 45:18
  view.
• 45:18
  Yes,
• 45:19
  sir.
• 45:19
  Thanks
• 45:19
  for
• 45:19
  having
• 45:19
  me,
• 45:20
  brother.
• 45:21
  Always
• 45:21
  fun,
• 45:21
  brother.
• 45:22
  I'm
• 45:22
  Eric
• 45:22
  G.
• 45:23
  You've
• 45:23
  been
• 45:23
  listening
• 45:24
  to
• 45:24
  around
• 45:24
  the
• 45:25
  House.
