- 1:56Speaker 1: crazy play hand straight up he went to go get
- 1:59Speaker 1: the black on page see for called the foul free
- 2:01Speaker 1: throws changed the game? How shitty or like salt two
- 2:03Speaker 1: with y'all at that moment because everybody looked at said
- 2:05Speaker 1: that ain't no fucking foul. We in the moment, I
- 2:09Speaker 1: just I looked at Trade's face and he was pissed,
- 2:11Speaker 1: like he was shaking his head. I forgot what he
- 2:13Speaker 1: said to the ref, but I was thinking next play
- 2:15Speaker 1: because Trade just had to hit that shot against Kansas before,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I think or two games before, so I'm like, oh,
- 2:21Speaker 1: we could still get back in it, you know. So
- 2:22Speaker 1: my mind was just like, all right, we could still
- 2:24Speaker 1: win win this game. You know. Yeah. I have to
- 2:27Speaker 1: say I'm sorry to bring it up, but as a
- 2:29Speaker 1: little bit fast it's one of the few things I
- 2:30Speaker 1: got to hold on to, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:32Speaker 1: They try to take that championship away from us and
- 2:33Speaker 1: act like we didn't all watch that fucking game on
- 2:35Speaker 1: Monday night, quit playing with us. So what I hope
- 2:39Speaker 1: we did cheat. I hope everything that they said was true.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Shout out to nail money. We've been on that type
- 2:44Speaker 1: of time, man. But you know, typically asked, especiallyhen we
- 2:48Speaker 1: get Hoops on the show of that origin. Shit, we
- 2:50Speaker 1: know your origin man, Like how was it to grow up?
- 2:52Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying as the son of Big
- 2:54Speaker 1: Dog the legend, especially in the two one nine, Like,
- 2:57Speaker 1: how was that like influential on your upbringing? Obviously with
- 3:00Speaker 1: that being your pops and growing up kind of in
- 3:01Speaker 1: the NBA. Yeah, you know, it's it's a blessing, for real.
- 3:06Speaker 1: That's how I met T for real. He knew my
- 3:08Speaker 1: pops and stuff when we was on the paces. But
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's a blessing, Like I grew up. I've seen cars,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I've seen whooping. I remember one time he was with
- 3:17Speaker 1: the Bucks and I'm in practice. I was a little
- 3:19Speaker 1: little kid. So I'm running on the floor and George
- 3:22Speaker 1: Carl he cuts me out, like, man, get you get
- 3:24Speaker 1: your son off the court. You know what I'm saying,
- 3:26Speaker 1: Get him off the court. After practice, were in the car,
- 3:29Speaker 1: My my pops let me drive. So I'm in the
- 3:31Speaker 1: standing wheel like this on his lap and uh, I
- 3:34Speaker 1: look over and it's somebody. It was I think Tim
- 3:36Speaker 1: Thomas just was flying past, and then my pops wrote
- 3:39Speaker 1: his window down. And I've seen Sam Sam Casale and
- 3:42Speaker 1: imagine seeing Sam Casale as a little kid. You see
- 3:44Speaker 1: his little thing, you see his place as a little kid.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm scared of And my pops never let that down.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And that's my guy, that's uncle Sam. Man. But my
- 3:57Speaker 1: pops never let that down. Man, Like you scared. My
- 3:59Speaker 1: son had to saw basketball early. I forget that day.
- 4:10Speaker 1: That's real, you know, it was suthing like that, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I was. I was in NBA practices, you know. I
- 4:16Speaker 1: got to see my pots pull up and in different
- 4:18Speaker 1: cars and stuff. So my my my mind was always
- 4:21Speaker 1: focused on what I wanted, you know, and Pops and
- 4:23Speaker 1: never influenced me to you know, because I played football,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I played different sports. He never was like you gotta
- 4:29Speaker 1: play basketball, you know, until I got to high school.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It was clear like spot like what you're doing. But
- 4:34Speaker 1: but yeah, nah man, I can't I can't complain. You know.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Obviously he was traveling. He wanted to ring with the Spurs.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I got to see a lot and and really follow
- 4:43Speaker 1: his footsteps in terms of the open one. I was
- 4:45Speaker 1: gonna ask you about the other guns, like you know
- 4:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying a lot of people who don't even
- 4:48Speaker 1: have no credentials and niggas whould just be on Instagram
- 4:50Speaker 1: place they'd be pressure they first moorn kids to fucking
- 4:53Speaker 1: get on the basketball court. Did you had that type
- 4:55Speaker 1: of pressure? It was just like he lets you fuck
- 4:57Speaker 1: with it. But then it came time, just like, nah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: so you don't see what I said, You like, we're
- 5:00Speaker 1: about to get the work type shite. No, I'm laughing
- 5:03Speaker 1: because I remember I was going to high school and
- 5:05Speaker 1: I was playing football. I still up into eighth grade,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and my post was like, I give you a cell
- 5:08Speaker 1: phone if you stopped playing football. But it was clear no,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and it was just a joke, but it was clear
- 5:14Speaker 1: I was I was better at basketball and that was
- 5:16Speaker 1: my path, and Pops was right, you know obviously. But nah,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I remember playing football. I used to be receivering. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: was nice, you know, but I was like, man, basketball
- 5:25Speaker 1: probably was crazy. I was probably like eighth grade six
- 5:32Speaker 1: two sixty three. Yeah, you was big in a big
- 5:38Speaker 1: six eighth grade there with one hand, you know, and
- 5:41Speaker 1: I was there, you know, but I was like, man,
- 5:43Speaker 1: this ain't my sport though, Because it got time for
- 5:45Speaker 1: practice and it's like them them drills with all right,
- 5:49Speaker 1: it's time to go head on against a linebacker. Somebody,
- 5:52Speaker 1: you gotta square up. I'm like, nah, it's football. Never
- 5:56Speaker 1: for me. I was a buck thirty in high school.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Six dog, listen, I grew up playing baseball, and I'll
- 6:05Speaker 1: take a fastball to the real cage for I catch
- 6:07Speaker 1: your motherfucking up the middle of linebacker to the nah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: dog Like, I don't see how people play football and
- 6:12Speaker 1: wake up and play that ship the next day. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that should have to be bill for brother. My brother played.
- 6:17Speaker 1: We we opposite my brother six six one, like three
- 6:20Speaker 1: hundred pounds linebacker. Hefl right now, Oh damn, Yeah, you're
- 6:24Speaker 1: playing for Saint Louis, the same team with a J. Mccarne.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So I've been checking that out. But yeah, we complete opposite.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Growing up, he was wrestling football. It got to a
- 6:34Speaker 1: point I'm like, nah, we ain't fighting no more, my brother.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah that's great. That look were cool on the hand. Damn.
- 6:44Speaker 1: So obviously you know what I'm saying. He put the
- 6:46Speaker 1: ball her hands. You get to play, You know what
- 6:48Speaker 1: I say? Before we get to your college and high school,
- 6:51Speaker 1: does how was it you? Because you had. You had
- 6:54Speaker 1: some young hitters and your team, but you came retire
- 6:55Speaker 1: period with high school basketball was really getting its uh shot,
- 6:59Speaker 1: especially on social media, and y'all that's why team was crazy.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That's y'all was cheating, y'all. We just had a lot
- 7:07Speaker 1: of talent over and Gary and Brandon Dawson was on
- 7:10Speaker 1: our team. We was naming a couple of Mitch McGarry
- 7:13Speaker 1: NBA players by the way, all NBA players. But before that,
- 7:17Speaker 1: a lot of people don't know I was born premature.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So I was born three pounds four houses and I
- 7:22Speaker 1: spent two months in an incubator as a kid. Save
- 7:25Speaker 1: me a produe basketball, like winning a little basketball and
- 7:27Speaker 1: put it in the incubator. So for two months that's
- 7:30Speaker 1: where I had the basketball. And then so I started
- 7:31Speaker 1: telling people that's when I started first started hooping. Damn,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it's just using that
- 7:37Speaker 1: moucker for two bucks two months. You had no choice
- 7:42Speaker 1: but do that basketball. And now that's why he came
- 7:47Speaker 1: to He was like, all right, your name, but trying
- 7:51Speaker 1: to return that investment side. Did y'all win? Did y'all
- 7:54Speaker 1: win any big tournaments? But we used to that was
- 8:00Speaker 1: before because I think we was under armor and oh
- 8:03Speaker 1: they was Nike when they was y'all talking about the Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 1: then we switched over with the under arm and I
- 8:08Speaker 1: remember we would used to go to Florida all of
- 8:10Speaker 1: them tournaments. We was running through all of them tournaments.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But we wasn't eype nigga,
- 8:14Speaker 1: what shoes was you hooping? The man? When Jennis first
- 8:21Speaker 1: came the pen leather toes stay the rest to genus man.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That's oh I had rolled my ankle so bad in him.
- 8:34Speaker 1: They had no likes. God me, I would I would
- 8:39Speaker 1: have rocked it. The curries are dasty. It makes me
- 8:45Speaker 1: step is one of the coldes niggas to touch of basketball.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And he got his shoes that we will never touch
- 8:49Speaker 1: again or touch the first time. That's why I asked
- 8:51Speaker 1: you what shoes usually were it bro, because that's a
- 8:54Speaker 1: crazy circuit to be Oh yeah, no, under armor was
- 8:57Speaker 1: popping though. That circuit was curtiy. Yeah, I'm talking about
- 8:59Speaker 1: this with the gears. Oh yeah, niggas would have rather
- 9:02Speaker 1: hand hooped in some knikes then you know what, Yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 1: because you can wear nikes off the court. Ain't no
- 9:06Speaker 1: under armstures, you was gonna wear off that court unners,
- 9:16Speaker 1: no sock? What was one of your toughest matchups and
- 9:21Speaker 1: that you can remember you us Muhammed was twenty two.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Oh me every time? Yeah, every time we used to
- 9:31Speaker 1: running him in championship game was up so but yeah,
- 9:34Speaker 1: that's that's who I remember. That's one of the mans
- 9:37Speaker 1: you forget about. Like it wasn't too far up. But
- 9:38Speaker 1: he was a problem in high school. But then we
- 9:41Speaker 1: remember he was big and the motherfucker Minnesota in Minnesota.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah year, Yeah, my rookie gear. He had that joint
- 9:49Speaker 1: B passport. Crazy what was he like? Just text? No,
- 9:57Speaker 1: he was. He was two years old. He was like older.
- 10:01Speaker 1: He wanted the og hole backs and who yeah he
- 10:05Speaker 1: was a double hole but he reclassified. I ain't got hill,
- 10:08Speaker 1: but by my god, I see I got him. I'm
- 10:14Speaker 1: best what he cool as hell? Oh damn? You know
- 10:17Speaker 1: what's crazy? I want to a tournament to Washington play
- 10:19Speaker 1: in the North Central and he was dunking on everybody
- 10:22Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, I'm like, bro, was I hurt?
- 10:25Speaker 1: The nigga was huge? Bro man child bro. And then
- 10:27Speaker 1: when they came out, I was like all right, I
- 10:30Speaker 1: get it. He wasn't man, you know what I mean?
- 10:36Speaker 1: You know what and I was shipped this to the
- 10:37Speaker 1: two and nine. You know what I'm saying. That EC
- 10:39Speaker 1: teen where they had Angel Garcia. Y'all not telling me
- 10:42Speaker 1: are Garcia was a high school player? Bro. I still
- 10:44Speaker 1: don't believe it. Bro. Where the documents? He was cold? Bro,
- 10:47Speaker 1: he was a grown man here, just got off a
- 10:48Speaker 1: ship at the steel mill. Bro put on that rear
- 10:50Speaker 1: jersey and gave niggas work. Damn. Angel was nice. He
- 10:54Speaker 1: was cold. But yeah, Man, high school, you know what
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'm saying. You said, Pop started telling you asked time
- 10:59Speaker 1: to really get it in, like what was your like
- 11:01Speaker 1: what was that switchlight for you when it became Basketball's
- 11:03Speaker 1: kind of like fun. He's like, nah, we we I'm
- 11:05Speaker 1: gonna show you, you know, seeing how I would, and
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm about to show you how to get it there,
- 11:08Speaker 1: Like was you going through them type of drills with practice?
- 11:10Speaker 1: So he was just letting you work out with your coach.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Nah man. He I would go visit my pops in
- 11:15Speaker 1: the summer, me and my brother for two weeks, and
- 11:17Speaker 1: that's when I remember about him. He was strict on
- 11:20Speaker 1: two things. You gotta do your cardio once a day
- 11:22Speaker 1: for twenty minutes, and then you gotta keep that pace
- 11:24Speaker 1: up to a certain level. And then you gotta eat right.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It was grilled chicken, broccoli, samon, something you gotta eat
- 11:31Speaker 1: right for lunch. So that as a kid, you know,
- 11:33Speaker 1: so that and still still to me like all right,
- 11:36Speaker 1: this is what I need to be doing to get
- 11:38Speaker 1: to the league. Yeah, you keep your body right. But
- 11:40Speaker 1: he said he learned that from Ray. Like Ray Allen
- 11:43Speaker 1: was was big on all of that back with the
- 11:45Speaker 1: bucks and everything. So but he didn't learn that type
- 11:48Speaker 1: of stuff till he got a certain age, you know,
- 11:49Speaker 1: so he spread that knowledge to me. I was I
- 11:51Speaker 1: was appreciative of. But he came to watch me work
- 11:54Speaker 1: out one time in high school and I used to
- 11:57Speaker 1: get up at five thirty in the morning. And a
- 11:59Speaker 1: lot of people kind of heard this story. But this
- 12:01Speaker 1: this like would I'll tell all the young kids this,
- 12:04Speaker 1: This what got me on and this got me my scholarships.
- 12:06Speaker 1: But I used to wake up at five thirty my college.
- 12:08Speaker 1: My high school coach was honking his horn in my driveway.
- 12:10Speaker 1: My mind, you know, you met, My mind was like
- 12:13Speaker 1: get your better, get up at five thirty, so I
- 12:16Speaker 1: hopped his car. We had the gym by five forty five.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I get a thousand shots up before school every day. Damn.
- 12:22Speaker 1: By sophomore year came in high school, I had my license.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I beat my high school coach up to the gym.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I beat him to the gym every single day. And man,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I used to turn on the lights. That's my favorite sound.
- 12:32Speaker 1: And thousand shots every day. In the sophomore year, I
- 12:35Speaker 1: had scholarship from Michigan, Colorado. You know all the schools
- 12:38Speaker 1: I had scholarships from. But I test what I tell
- 12:41Speaker 1: the kids. Man, A thousand shots a day, one hour
- 12:43Speaker 1: in the morning per day. That's all it took. You
- 12:45Speaker 1: was on the gun work. I was on the gun
- 12:47Speaker 1: about to say a minute, Pops came up there rebounded
- 12:50Speaker 1: for me. Okay, I know if you had one of
- 12:52Speaker 1: your niggas rebounding for about to say, shout out to
- 12:54Speaker 1: the rebounding Yeah, I was a rebounds all you gotta
- 13:04Speaker 1: working up with Big Wallace. That was. That was because
- 13:08Speaker 1: I used to shoot with with two hands on eighth grade.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You know how as a kid, we just throw the
- 13:12Speaker 1: ball up there. So eighth grade, my high school coach
- 13:15Speaker 1: was like, Yo, if you want to play, you're gonna
- 13:17Speaker 1: have to change your shot. Like you don't shoot with
- 13:18Speaker 1: two hands, it's the guy hand. This is how you shoot.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And I'm like, whoa, so I got it. I just
- 13:23Speaker 1: looked him off, like, man, he don't know what you're
- 13:24Speaker 1: talking about. It eight grade, you know. I'm like, I'm
- 13:26Speaker 1: kind of nice, but I wanted all that, like I'm
- 13:28Speaker 1: kind of nice, and man, I got in the gym
- 13:30Speaker 1: thousand shots per day and it started working, like I
- 13:33Speaker 1: was able to control where the ball was going because
- 13:35Speaker 1: you shoot with two hands, it's spinning his twist and
- 13:38Speaker 1: nasty man get control. I would started hitting them shots.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I'm like, whoa, this really worked. Thousand shots per day.
- 13:43Speaker 1: That's how I tell the kids. Man. Yeah, that's some
- 13:46Speaker 1: different type of different because I would have never been like, well,
- 13:50Speaker 1: what time would you get have to work out? Nigga?
- 13:52Speaker 1: I didn't go work no, nigga, what I want to
- 13:54Speaker 1: know shit like that? What time was you done? I
- 13:59Speaker 1: was done? You can just move back to so we
- 14:01Speaker 1: can hear you better. Yep this way, ye sir, yep,
- 14:03Speaker 1: he said what he was going to high school? Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 1: I'm saying five thirty. So what time did you get
- 14:10Speaker 1: the thousand shot up? Seven? And then it was like
- 14:13Speaker 1: six fifty five seven. I remember I had it was
- 14:16Speaker 1: a deodorant. It was popular. I used to spray that
- 14:19Speaker 1: shit on my head. Get the scrub real quick. I
- 14:21Speaker 1: had five minutes school start at seven fifteen. I had
- 14:31Speaker 1: to do what I had to do. Quick bird back,
- 14:33Speaker 1: quick bird back, run the ax on the hands. It's crazy.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It was spraying that motherfuck bro. I used to do that.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Pike Man, y'all niggas was sick all. You gotta sit
- 14:47Speaker 1: all day. You ain't took no shower in class. I'm
- 14:50Speaker 1: like I knew Hoop was for me the every day.
- 15:00Speaker 1: That was a young team. That was your boy. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: think nil in high school. Oh god, commercial with the
- 15:14Speaker 1: horse and you didn't had a soul locked. My nigga
- 15:20Speaker 1: lit a fucking superstar. They could get that on camera
- 15:23Speaker 1: him doing that every day. Imagine that nigga taking an
- 15:26Speaker 1: accent hinted with the lebron and bro. It would have
- 15:30Speaker 1: went viral. Shit. That's crazy. Dedication different though not for
- 15:39Speaker 1: real respect because like you said, you made your own
- 15:42Speaker 1: jump shot, like you had to go through and make
- 15:44Speaker 1: your own jump shot to get to the next level,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and like you said, that hard work in that dedication
- 15:48Speaker 1: got you your offers. We're gonna talk about some schools.
- 15:51Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's crazy how we got
- 15:53Speaker 1: two Indiana All Stars and what I'm saying two pros
- 15:56Speaker 1: in here that did not go to Indiana school was
- 15:59Speaker 1: there in the end, you know what I'm saying, in particular,
- 16:01Speaker 1: that should have maybe recruited you, but that didn't recruit you.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I got licking the camera when I said this, Dude,
- 16:07Speaker 1: Purdue already know already I would have went to Purdue
- 16:11Speaker 1: for real. I never said came out and said this,
- 16:13Speaker 1: but I probably would have went to Purdue. My pops
- 16:16Speaker 1: was a legend. There was number thirteen cent a banner.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I probably would have asked to wear number thirteen or
- 16:21Speaker 1: thirty one or something. It would have made a whole storyline.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But guy had better plans, you know about getting recruited me. Uh,
- 16:28Speaker 1: Tim Hardaway Junior. Shout out to Tim. He gave me
- 16:31Speaker 1: my my official visit. They was recruiting me. We went
- 16:34Speaker 1: out to parties, did all of that. Man. Yeah, man,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I had a great time Part eight seven. You know, However,
- 16:44Speaker 1: we was I'm like, whoa, this is what college is like,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I go to Michigan.
- 16:49Speaker 1: They on the roof, they playing beer, puk off the roof,
- 16:52Speaker 1: jumping off the ruf, everything all weekend. I'm like, whoa,
- 16:56Speaker 1: they party like this, but basketball football this is how
- 16:59Speaker 1: they get it in. Yeah. Here going to the schools
- 17:02Speaker 1: that got the dude, like the footballs and the basketball
- 17:05Speaker 1: lit hit different, especially like in the Midwest cold the
- 17:08Speaker 1: people white people don't care about the code. They gonna
- 17:10Speaker 1: turn up regardless. So you wasn't in Arbor and it
- 17:13Speaker 1: was a fucking party because that's like the Bloomington of Michigan,
- 17:15Speaker 1: but way better. Yeah, yeah, for real, Yeah, Michigan it was.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It was a good time the two years that I
- 17:21Speaker 1: was there. If it wasn't Michigan, what school was you
- 17:23Speaker 1: close to thinking about? Probably I don't know if for
- 17:30Speaker 1: some reason, Colorado always stick in my mind. I kind
- 17:33Speaker 1: of went to go further from from the crib. Okay,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I didn't have Kentucky or North Carolina, but I had
- 17:38Speaker 1: almost every other school. Really what I'm saying, Yeah, I
- 17:41Speaker 1: think I finished high school seventeen in the country or
- 17:43Speaker 1: something like that. But I you didn't offer me. Purdue
- 17:46Speaker 1: didn't offer me. It was a lot of schools that
- 17:48Speaker 1: passed up on me. That's crazy. Yeah, that on't even
- 17:50Speaker 1: makes sense. Yeah, don't offered me either. I thought I
- 17:54Speaker 1: was going so I thought I had off. Yeah, I
- 17:56Speaker 1: thought I committed and you don't have offer. I an't
- 18:02Speaker 1: know that I committed Perdue, but they told me you
- 18:07Speaker 1: got a scholarship. Bro, I want to tell you. I
- 18:11Speaker 1: was like, it's always up produce. He won't smoke. I
- 18:16Speaker 1: didn't think it's what p hey listen to. They offered
- 18:20Speaker 1: my little brother. I was like, why was I waste
- 18:21Speaker 1: your time? Yea, I committed, Bro. It was like I
- 18:30Speaker 1: was gonna call you back, but they called my dad
- 18:34Speaker 1: like I don't got a scholarship all right, So wait
- 18:41Speaker 1: old and this is like, this is the summer of
- 18:44Speaker 1: your junior year or your senior year already, this is
- 18:46Speaker 1: my junior early old on you called and say, hey,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm coming. I had just got all them scholarship offers,
- 18:53Speaker 1: so I had. I thought I had him in the
- 18:57Speaker 1: bag away from I just turned down Kansas all them.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm gonna to produce. You get on my
- 19:05Speaker 1: fucking Irish but literally stick got a scholarship. Oh did
- 19:13Speaker 1: you have your head ready? That's why I went to
- 19:18Speaker 1: the other Black and gold can go. I'm gonna wear
- 19:24Speaker 1: these dnps won't way or another day. That's crazy, I mean,
- 19:29Speaker 1: that's I just think that's crazy that we look, especially
- 19:31Speaker 1: now in the tournament, like we got so many kids
- 19:33Speaker 1: from the city that be out here getting the shipped
- 19:35Speaker 1: off and they're not in any of the home schools
- 19:36Speaker 1: that should probably work on that ship. NAS should have
- 19:39Speaker 1: been a shout to Nigel Pack. There's no reason these
- 19:42Speaker 1: good ass player should not be escaping the state. In
- 19:44Speaker 1: a dream scenario, IU would be a Nike school and
- 19:47Speaker 1: have a culture that just recruited in like Central Indiana
- 19:50Speaker 1: and the region, and they could probably win a national
- 19:52Speaker 1: championship every four or five years if you just recruited
- 19:55Speaker 1: in the city. But fuck them, but getting done with
- 19:59Speaker 1: them working, it's over with all right. If I could
- 20:02Speaker 1: come out of high school again, I probably don Michigan
- 20:05Speaker 1: for real. Juwan heard Jordan's They just said it was
- 20:09Speaker 1: fun to say you, Hell yeah, I'm god have been
- 20:11Speaker 1: a perfect mesch for YouTube. Hell yeah, And you went
- 20:13Speaker 1: to a crazy situation because Michigan. It was already solid.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And then you know what I'm saying, who came into
- 20:18Speaker 1: Michigan with y'all because y'all had a whip. They was
- 20:20Speaker 1: producing talent. But Trey Burke and Tim was already there. Me.
- 20:24Speaker 1: They started calling us to the new Fab five. They
- 20:26Speaker 1: started called us the fresh five. It was five freshman
- 20:28Speaker 1: that came in. Me Cares, Subvert, Nick Styleskis, Spike, All Break,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and Miss McGarry. So we came in and it was
- 20:35Speaker 1: the I remember the first uh like scrimmage we had
- 20:39Speaker 1: against each other, the seniors. It was seventh seeners. They
- 20:41Speaker 1: looked at us and they was like, yeah, we're about
- 20:43Speaker 1: to smack them. We got on the court man they
- 20:45Speaker 1: seen who we was like quick, we started whipping. We
- 20:49Speaker 1: was up twelve quick and uh coach was like, yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: we gotta switch something up. Seniors went to the coach
- 20:54Speaker 1: and was like, I think we're gonna sit down. We're
- 20:56Speaker 1: gonna take that role as leaders. They let all us
- 20:59Speaker 1: fresh and rock out except for Carris. They was like, yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: we're gonna red shirt him. Bline was like, yeah, we're
- 21:04Speaker 1: gonna red shirt him. Everybody was like, nah, Carris, nice,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I don't know what you think The singers went back
- 21:10Speaker 1: to him, was like, nah, we ain't red shirt and carrots.
- 21:12Speaker 1: He gonna play and that's when we just started all
- 21:14Speaker 1: that's hard. After that, Yeah, that's love. That's sure. That
- 21:18Speaker 1: happens nowhere else. We came to campus. Man, my mama
- 21:22Speaker 1: dropped me off and I was like, man, where am
- 21:24Speaker 1: i a? You know what I'm saying. I was like,
- 21:26Speaker 1: it was me and mitching the doing. It was he
- 21:27Speaker 1: was my roommate, Carros and Spike was over here and
- 21:31Speaker 1: Nick and I was like, man, it's all three of
- 21:33Speaker 1: us in the doing right in the hallway next to
- 21:34Speaker 1: each other. I'm like, man, we was having a good time.
- 21:36Speaker 1: That's why we came into practice. Start smacking them coaches like, yeah,
- 21:40Speaker 1: we gotta switch it up. They're gonna start nah they
- 21:43Speaker 1: just I mean, of course, shout out to your coach,
- 21:45Speaker 1: but at the same something, shout out to them bro,
- 21:47Speaker 1: because that don't happen. Yeah, so where they go to
- 21:50Speaker 1: the coach and not Man, fuck these little niggas many
- 21:52Speaker 1: not taking nah yea, they all got real good job.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Josh bartle thing is just got promoted with the Sun. Yeah.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Carmen bro he was one of them seniors. Yeah, so yeah, man,
- 22:07Speaker 1: they doing good things. They live. It was always smart.
- 22:11Speaker 1: It was another story too. We was the first one
- 22:13Speaker 1: to have them slogans on your shirt. And we got
- 22:15Speaker 1: to the to the final four and we had we owned.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So we was like, yeah, we come in the court
- 22:20Speaker 1: and we switched on the light switch. We own. We
- 22:22Speaker 1: turned on Yeah, and we was the first ones with
- 22:25Speaker 1: the slogan Adidas start selling them. Was we created this
- 22:28Speaker 1: by ourself. We went and printed them the team win
- 22:32Speaker 1: and printing them and we was just we were the
- 22:33Speaker 1: only ones that had them. Did it. The next game,
- 22:36Speaker 1: March madness came out at the whole we own slogan.
- 22:39Speaker 1: We ain't selling none of that money and getting nothing.
- 22:42Speaker 1: All of them seens was business students and everything. You know,
- 22:44Speaker 1: so we know what's going on. We see thirteen like
- 22:46Speaker 1: it's over with think about to make millions off this ship.
- 22:49Speaker 1: We ain't get nothing. Damn bro Bro, they millionaires now
- 22:56Speaker 1: if they would have did that. Tre Burke National Players
- 23:00Speaker 1: year millionaire. I mean obviously he made to the league,
- 23:03Speaker 1: but cold was trade Burking Colors bro. I mean we
- 23:06Speaker 1: know because we watched it. But you you know what
- 23:07Speaker 1: I mean, you rocked with him. So what was he luck?
- 23:11Speaker 1: I personally ain't no trade. When I pulled up, I know,
- 23:13Speaker 1: you know, a little dude from Ohio. You know, I'm
- 23:15Speaker 1: like little light skin du he got tattoos, you know,
- 23:17Speaker 1: corn rolls or you know, I'm like, man, who is
- 23:20Speaker 1: this kid started he started hooping. We called him like AI,
- 23:24Speaker 1: he's just cold with it, you know, justic with the ball.
- 23:27Speaker 1: And back then, you know, you get to the league.
- 23:29Speaker 1: You know, people taller and back in college. Man, he
- 23:32Speaker 1: used to get all his shit off. He was cold.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But to see a player like that National Player of
- 23:37Speaker 1: the Year it was Denar Robinson at that time in
- 23:40Speaker 1: Michigan and Shade Burke. You couldn't go to the cafeteria,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you couldn't go to Windy's if one of them was
- 23:45Speaker 1: over there. It was like, yeah, it's a rap that
- 23:48Speaker 1: I knew he had a bit. That's why I asked
- 23:49Speaker 1: you about it. But I mean, shout out to everybody else,
- 23:52Speaker 1: but I knew he was like a big deal. He
- 23:54Speaker 1: was a nigger. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I forgot Nar Robinson
- 23:58Speaker 1: was like that. He had it cracking damn both of
- 24:02Speaker 1: them on imagine that, and that's so crazy. We talk
- 24:07Speaker 1: about the nil money, like, especially at fucking Michigan. Niggas
- 24:12Speaker 1: be hating no dual to me. But I understand I'm
- 24:14Speaker 1: saying Nigazaga too. But I'm making way more brand living
- 24:16Speaker 1: on campus than I would pooping in the league. It's
- 24:19Speaker 1: a second round pig that changes everything. Hell yeah, so
- 24:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like you said, unfortunately, we
- 24:25Speaker 1: talked about what happened, but I wasn't making it to
- 24:27Speaker 1: the final four because like a lot of people don't
- 24:29Speaker 1: get to experience that running ha tournament, Like what's that feeling? Like?
- 24:32Speaker 1: That's probably like probably a part of paying like the
- 24:34Speaker 1: best tournament in the world, Okay, because it's not like
- 24:36Speaker 1: the NBA playoffs, No, Nah, it's crazy. It's fans from
- 24:40Speaker 1: everywhere obviously showing up National Championship game, playing in front
- 24:43Speaker 1: of seventy five thousand at the Georgia Dome. I'm in
- 24:47Speaker 1: warm ups almost air ball my first shot because everybody
- 24:49Speaker 1: looked like ants in the background. You know what I'm saying,
- 24:51Speaker 1: I ain't never experienced that playing on the court. Everybody
- 24:54Speaker 1: else looked like ants. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 24:56Speaker 1: usually the other way around. Looking at you so I'm like,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you threw off my whole you know what I'm saying,
- 25:00Speaker 1: my shot. But you get to the final four, you
- 25:04Speaker 1: get all the fresh gear. You know, whoever, whatever team, whatever,
- 25:07Speaker 1: whoever spots you're seeing, you all that pack of all
- 25:10Speaker 1: a good gear. The plane is different, you know what
- 25:13Speaker 1: I'm saying, is different, pert DM different, everything different. You
- 25:17Speaker 1: get to that final four. That's hard. But I'll never
- 25:19Speaker 1: forget coming back from the championship. We had all the
- 25:22Speaker 1: fans that was waiting on us as soon as we
- 25:24Speaker 1: had lost, though, but all the fans was there afterwards,
- 25:27Speaker 1: and it's like winning the championship when you get back
- 25:30Speaker 1: and it's all the students just there, like one hundred
- 25:32Speaker 1: thousand people just in the in the streets. So imagine that.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Damn my teammates spiked spike all break. He tweeted Kate
- 25:42Speaker 1: up there and when they took national championship, so he
- 25:45Speaker 1: got back. He was the man on captives. Yeah, all
- 25:47Speaker 1: the little chicks, ye, Trey Burke, because that's the trade
- 25:54Speaker 1: was in foul trouble. We had seventeen as the backup
- 25:56Speaker 1: point guard. Remember who he tweeted k up there afterward?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Was the man I was I was at the crib
- 26:05Speaker 1: shitty because I was like, all right, Trey Breaker, foul trouble.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I'm like, who, what the fuck is this little white
- 26:09Speaker 1: dude killing us? He was going nuts in the first half.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I was pissed. I'm looking at Russ Smith like, if
- 26:14Speaker 1: you don't wipe the fuck up? He one nine yep,
- 26:17Speaker 1: crown point yep, ye, running rapid. All right. So you
- 26:22Speaker 1: know you kind of like what you're going into the
- 26:26Speaker 1: draft situation. You know what I'm saying, You had a
- 26:27Speaker 1: chance to leave earlier than you even expected for school.
- 26:31Speaker 1: This tell us about that process of how you like,
- 26:33Speaker 1: you know, that summer going into your sophomore year you
- 26:35Speaker 1: kind of like, oh damn, I could have been his
- 26:37Speaker 1: And then like I'm going back to school. How was
- 26:39Speaker 1: that process for you thinking that out? And then when
- 26:41Speaker 1: did you decide all right, I'm gonna go ahead and bounce. Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I mean I wasn't really thinking about it when I
- 26:46Speaker 1: when I first got to Michigan, I was just trying
- 26:48Speaker 1: to I was trying to go there and be on
- 26:49Speaker 1: the team, you know, not be a role player. I
- 26:51Speaker 1: was obviously trying to start, but I didn't expect for
- 26:54Speaker 1: things to start moving like that. We made to national championship.
- 26:57Speaker 1: We lost. Next day, they like, yo, you leaving or not?
- 27:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, that's the option, Like it's
- 27:01Speaker 1: the next morning when you wake up in the hotel.
- 27:03Speaker 1: It like we're gonna leave or we're not, you know.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And I hadn't discussed it with my family nothing. I
- 27:09Speaker 1: remember talking to Pops and I think I'm eighteen nineteen
- 27:12Speaker 1: at the time, and he looked at me and he
- 27:14Speaker 1: was like, I don't think he ready yet. And I
- 27:17Speaker 1: was like, I had to respect that, because this is Pops.
- 27:19Speaker 1: He's been at that level or whatever. And back then
- 27:22Speaker 1: for me, I ain't know if I would have knew
- 27:24Speaker 1: what I knew now, we would have had a discussed
- 27:28Speaker 1: me off, because you know, you know how we talk.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You know, like the difference between going top ten and
- 27:35Speaker 1: going I went forty second round, So the difference between
- 27:38Speaker 1: that right there is four years then they're man, you know,
- 27:43Speaker 1: nice bread locked in, So yeah, I get second round Minnesota.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I ended up Wiggins was that's when the whole Lebron
- 27:51Speaker 1: trade went down. Wiggins came to Minnesota and me and
- 27:53Speaker 1: Lavine got drafted to Minnesota to two. So I was
- 27:56Speaker 1: the third or fourth wing on that on that spot,
- 27:59Speaker 1: they had to let me go and then I had
- 28:01Speaker 1: to make the team. Uh, it's the Sixers picked me
- 28:04Speaker 1: up and through the way versus I made the Sixers team,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and then my whole career was just like like that.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And it could have been different. Off the top team.
- 28:13Speaker 1: It would have been totally different because you're given a
- 28:16Speaker 1: bigger opportunity when you picked ten. Even like if he
- 28:19Speaker 1: went to camp, he would have went to camp with
- 28:21Speaker 1: Minnesota and he killed Levine because Lavigne wasn't good his
- 28:23Speaker 1: first year. He was, but you killed. It's like, okay,
- 28:27Speaker 1: you're killing him, but he ain't about to play. We
- 28:29Speaker 1: gotta give him a chance. Eight. So it's like, but
- 28:33Speaker 1: I couldn't believe he went back to school. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 1: I had that decision to go back and go ahead. No,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I was just I was saying, well, Bro. I was like,
- 28:42Speaker 1: well shit, Bro, Like I told you, Bro. Bro must
- 28:45Speaker 1: have had that thing back trying to let go. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:54Speaker 1: that grip o. Life is good. Like you said, you'll
- 29:03Speaker 1: come home a little after a loss. I couldn't imagine
- 29:05Speaker 1: the day to day he was probably living. Man. Yeah,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I really wasn't. I wasn't even thinking like that, like
- 29:11Speaker 1: all right, we're going top ten. Yeah, we out of here.
- 29:14Speaker 1: You know, I was thinking more like, all right, I'm
- 29:16Speaker 1: trying to line up what's best for me. Pop say,
- 29:18Speaker 1: you know, I ain't ready. I'm trying to line up.
- 29:19Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna go back next year and kill
- 29:22Speaker 1: I come back to Michigan. I'm supposed to be playing
- 29:24Speaker 1: the three. Blin still got me at the three and
- 29:26Speaker 1: the four. You know what I'm saying. I look up,
- 29:28Speaker 1: I'm gard Stephen Adams. One game, I'm I'm like, yo, nah,
- 29:34Speaker 1: this ain't what I sorry two. You know how college
- 29:37Speaker 1: coaches do you know you when you now you going
- 29:40Speaker 1: back or whatever? They got you in the bag, They're like, okay,
- 29:43Speaker 1: now we're gonna get our plans straight. Yea. So it's
- 29:46Speaker 1: crazy how the game work, you know what I'm saying.
- 29:48Speaker 1: And you and George was talking about that. But you know,
- 29:51Speaker 1: as I got older, I learned how to understood how
- 29:53Speaker 1: you got to play the game. As you become a professional,
- 29:56Speaker 1: things changed and you gotta let certain things go to
- 29:58Speaker 1: you know, that's alcohol before we move home, and you
- 30:01Speaker 1: got to talk about that. Steven Adams mashup I just
- 30:05Speaker 1: you ain't gotta go on the chill, but man, I remember,
- 30:08Speaker 1: keep your own bro. He kept me on. Bro, it's
- 30:11Speaker 1: a free throw line. Box out of pocket. You know,
- 30:14Speaker 1: I'm trying to box out Steven Adams on a bro.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I turned around and go like this, you know I
- 30:21Speaker 1: I turned around and go like this. It was that
- 30:23Speaker 1: he was going the strongest in the world broers as
- 30:29Speaker 1: a joke. Bro. Nah, yeah, for real, no matter who,
- 30:33Speaker 1: he's too strong. Bro. What's crazy is we was in
- 30:36Speaker 1: a bubble and Steven he just plays ukuleles. He's just
- 30:39Speaker 1: a chill He cool, cool dude, he got that court man.
- 30:42Speaker 1: He's strongest. Life is peace. Who with Steven Adams in
- 30:46Speaker 1: any aspect of life? Bro? He got eighteen brothers and
- 30:48Speaker 1: sisters and they all be That's crazy. He didn't got
- 30:51Speaker 1: beat up there. He don't care about nothing. The league's way.
- 30:55Speaker 1: He moved. That's crazy. Beat my wife stretch. Yeah, that's why.
- 31:01Speaker 1: That's why I'd understanding college players. Now that the portals open,
- 31:04Speaker 1: they'd be like, oh, why is everybody jumping in the
- 31:06Speaker 1: portal because y'all don't know would be going on from
- 31:08Speaker 1: year to year. Bro, People gotta make the best decisions
- 31:10Speaker 1: for them as players. Coaches can leave with no penalty.
- 31:13Speaker 1: But y'all be tripping with the kid. Make a good
- 31:15Speaker 1: decision for him if you have an issue with that
- 31:17Speaker 1: that you like. They said tournament because right now every
- 31:20Speaker 1: team is good right now is because of transfers. Shut
- 31:23Speaker 1: the fuck up. So, like you said, your first year
- 31:25Speaker 1: in the league, he was in Minnesota. Like, that's crazy
- 31:28Speaker 1: because when you think about all those guys you're talking
- 31:30Speaker 1: about now, they are all the different situations right now.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Did we all think the Lavigne was gonna be close
- 31:35Speaker 1: to better than Wiggins? I knew he was talented. You're
- 31:39Speaker 1: smoking earlier. I'll give you a props. You didn't say
- 31:41Speaker 1: that earlier. I always thought he was nice, but I
- 31:42Speaker 1: didn't think he was gonna be as cold as Wig was.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I always thought Wig was colde But that had to
- 31:49Speaker 1: be the highest jumping team in the league. Bro. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:53Speaker 1: y'alla one team. Yeah, y'all won't win it, ship, but
- 32:00Speaker 1: I have to practice. We was having a crazy Look, oh,
- 32:03Speaker 1: y'all fucking championship ship. You gotta jacket? Would we wouldn't
- 32:08Speaker 1: do it, but shit, that's scared. That's crazy. But me
- 32:11Speaker 1: and Zach because we was drafted together, so we was
- 32:13Speaker 1: just just home. That was the homie man. We used
- 32:16Speaker 1: to I used to take water to his crib because
- 32:17Speaker 1: I remember he wouldn't even drink no water. Now we
- 32:19Speaker 1: would go to restaurant, he just fries milkshake. So I'm like,
- 32:23Speaker 1: you know, go back to the story with Yeah, man,
- 32:25Speaker 1: you gotta do this. You know at nineteen, you know,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell him. So we would just go
- 32:30Speaker 1: back to the crib and play video games the whole day,
- 32:33Speaker 1: hit the gym at night, and Jack was like that
- 32:36Speaker 1: he was a dog. And I knew Zach was gonna
- 32:38Speaker 1: be nice, just the fact that he had that at him.
- 32:40Speaker 1: But to go back to what we were talking about,
- 32:41Speaker 1: Trey Burke was that way. And when you had asked,
- 32:43Speaker 1: when y'all asked me about Tray, Tray set the tone.
- 32:47Speaker 1: And I was already getting up from high school like that.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Tray set the tone for me saying in the gym
- 32:52Speaker 1: at night, Tray of being in the gym to three am. Damn. Yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 1: We would order to you know, the little meal cars
- 32:59Speaker 1: that you get in school. We ordered the meal cards,
- 33:01Speaker 1: the pizza or whatever we get for free to the arena,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and we like, yeah, drop it off here and we
- 33:05Speaker 1: eat go to play video games. Were right back out
- 33:07Speaker 1: there at three am, because you know we're in the dorm.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Ain't nobody trying to stay in the B line when
- 33:11Speaker 1: let us stay in the apartment. So we liked in
- 33:13Speaker 1: the dorms. We might as well stay in the gym
- 33:15Speaker 1: the whole the whole night. We was in there all night.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And that's where I got that from. That's crazy. Did
- 33:21Speaker 1: you when you was at White used just working out
- 33:23Speaker 1: with the team. We usually all I lived in the
- 33:25Speaker 1: gym and college I didn't start. I took basketball series
- 33:28Speaker 1: and I got the couliners from high school and give
- 33:30Speaker 1: a fuck. But when I got to college, I lived
- 33:32Speaker 1: in the gym. It was nothing to do it wait
- 33:33Speaker 1: for us. So I shot two thousand shots to day,
- 33:37Speaker 1: me and this dude named Gary Clark. That's crazy. Yeah,
- 33:41Speaker 1: that's all we did. I literally I never went out
- 33:43Speaker 1: for I never went to I went to two parties
- 33:44Speaker 1: in my whole time. I wait for us. Damn. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: unless we went to a club after again, went to
- 33:49Speaker 1: the End club like twice or something like that. But
- 33:52Speaker 1: I never went out, Like, I didn't even talk. I
- 33:55Speaker 1: walked around with my headphones one talk to two people
- 33:59Speaker 1: James Johnson, gar anybody awake forward nigga. It was probably weird,
- 34:05Speaker 1: like I ain't speaking nobody football niggas, but that was
- 34:12Speaker 1: just me. That's how it talks. You was when when
- 34:14Speaker 1: we first met, because I ain't no tea back then.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm from Gary and you know y'all from ye y'all
- 34:19Speaker 1: from down here. So I'm like, man, I ain't know you,
- 34:22Speaker 1: you know, so I had to introduce myself like I
- 34:26Speaker 1: ain't know what. People don't mess with me or not
- 34:28Speaker 1: because I'm like, man, I'm from the g and he
- 34:29Speaker 1: down here and he's like, nah, what up to you?
- 34:31Speaker 1: I know you're Pots from back in the Egg, you know. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 1: you know you have to barber shop blacks Pots stay
- 34:36Speaker 1: in the Egg. So we were just shopping up then.
- 34:39Speaker 1: But I was like, nah, bro, ain't gonna he ain't
- 34:40Speaker 1: gonna mess with nobody on the team. Just gonna stay
- 34:42Speaker 1: to yourself. That's usually I am. But I was like, yeah,
- 34:46Speaker 1: off top many, Yeah that's crazy because you think about
- 34:52Speaker 1: it like that sounds like real casual that you'all just
- 34:54Speaker 1: saying that ship. But that's really incredible niggas really like
- 34:57Speaker 1: living in the gym, like you have to be that
- 34:59Speaker 1: deady need to separate yourself in the times and situations.
- 35:03Speaker 1: But it's funny as hell just because you know what
- 35:05Speaker 1: your demeanor you act like that makes so much since
- 35:08Speaker 1: it's just a brain for that ship. Also, you know
- 35:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you gotta you gotta represent from the
- 35:12Speaker 1: two one nine right now, we got some things going
- 35:14Speaker 1: on because the outside world disrespects Indiana. Y'all gotta claim
- 35:17Speaker 1: to any animals, bro, we gotta we gotta trace they
- 35:20Speaker 1: they zip code and make sure that they're not from
- 35:22Speaker 1: the three one seven. But we're gonna put them on
- 35:23Speaker 1: the two one nine until I get the shit shorted
- 35:25Speaker 1: out because I get tired of when we go places
- 35:27Speaker 1: to the people, we say any animals. Yeah, I want
- 35:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, love to two one nine,
- 35:35Speaker 1: but I need you to speak to your people. You're
- 35:37Speaker 1: gonna have to get to the bottom of that. I'm
- 35:38Speaker 1: putting that on y'all. I'm not accepting that no more,
- 35:43Speaker 1: put put them in one. You know what I'm saying,
- 35:45Speaker 1: marrible that got space with the niggas whole bart. I'm saying,
- 35:49Speaker 1: you'll can throw them off at whole bart but you
- 35:51Speaker 1: gotta you gotta take care of them, bro, not bro.
- 35:58Speaker 1: That's funniest hell man. And so like you know what
- 36:00Speaker 1: I'm saying, you make it into the league. Now as
- 36:02Speaker 1: your relationship grows with your pops, I mean, not to
- 36:04Speaker 1: grow obviously it's so dad, but like it's just different
- 36:07Speaker 1: talk now, all right, you grow, you got your own bread.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You in the league. It's a conversations changer. Yeah, obviously
- 36:12Speaker 1: he's still got you. But how did those conversations evolve? Yeah,
- 36:15Speaker 1: I mean throughout the years, they've just been evolving. I
- 36:18Speaker 1: mean finance talking, we talk about money. A lot of
- 36:22Speaker 1: people don't know. My pops was the first one to
- 36:24Speaker 1: ask for a hundred million dollars facts, and I don't
- 36:27Speaker 1: think he wanted to do it, but his agent at
- 36:28Speaker 1: the time was like, nah, we're gonna go push for
- 36:30Speaker 1: this this hunter and the Bucks ended up getting sixty eight,
- 36:33Speaker 1: you know, but but still to ask for it, he
- 36:35Speaker 1: opened up that gate for a lot of people to
- 36:37Speaker 1: go get that back. Yeah, So I always got to
- 36:41Speaker 1: keep that in the back of my mind. Is like, man,
- 36:43Speaker 1: my pops really reinvented a lot of a lot of stuff,
- 36:45Speaker 1: you know, and he was a dog so but outside
- 36:49Speaker 1: of that, you know, I also respect who he is
- 36:51Speaker 1: and as a father, you know, to be able to
- 36:53Speaker 1: lead because I know what it takes. We know what
- 36:56Speaker 1: it takes to be in the league and nine months
- 36:58Speaker 1: out of your time and then to still be with
- 37:00Speaker 1: the family and do what you gotta do. I respect
- 37:03Speaker 1: that for real. So we talk about a lot of
- 37:05Speaker 1: different stuff. And I got a daughter now who who five?
- 37:07Speaker 1: So I need that guidance in my life, you know,
- 37:09Speaker 1: in times of all investments, you know, all all type
- 37:12Speaker 1: of stuff. Yeah, that's far because like you said, you
- 37:14Speaker 1: see your pops do it his wife and the right
- 37:16Speaker 1: way at the same time. So now it's like, all right,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you in the league. Now this conversation is different. Put
- 37:21Speaker 1: your money here and put stuff here. Don't be asking
- 37:23Speaker 1: me for no money because you're rich. I know how
- 37:25Speaker 1: much money you make. You ain't get no payday loans. Yeah. No,
- 37:29Speaker 1: My apostles are always good though, because a lot of
- 37:31Speaker 1: people they really don't. They think like we we Me
- 37:34Speaker 1: and my brother grew up with Pops and we was
- 37:36Speaker 1: like really spoon fed. But I grew up my mom
- 37:39Speaker 1: and my grandma, my dad did what he had to
- 37:41Speaker 1: do was on the road. We've seen him when he
- 37:43Speaker 1: could and I respect that. But I grew up with
- 37:45Speaker 1: my mom and my grandma and we from they from
- 37:47Speaker 1: the g and it's like, it's sir, man, everything we
- 37:50Speaker 1: do is is the right way. You know. They ain't
- 37:53Speaker 1: going for nothing sloppy. So Mom, yeah, man, And uh,
- 37:57Speaker 1: you know, she told me to go back to school
- 37:59Speaker 1: when I left. She like, you, you're gonna go back
- 38:00Speaker 1: to school and do that. And I just finished up
- 38:02Speaker 1: Harvard Business School, So I went back and did that thing.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Appreciate it, I can grabs me. Yeah, I was gonna
- 38:08Speaker 1: get to that. That's hard. How was it going to school?
- 38:11Speaker 1: Because I mean, you know what said the last time
- 38:12Speaker 1: you went to school is a little different. Time I
- 38:14Speaker 1: went to school. I think it was man with two fourteen.
- 38:17Speaker 1: So I'm like trying to back up. Like I opened
- 38:19Speaker 1: up a book. I'm like, man, it's been a minute.
- 38:21Speaker 1: It was a bunch of reading and all that, but
- 38:23Speaker 1: I knocked it out. I ended up getting number one
- 38:25Speaker 1: in the class, So congrats, b But I want to,
- 38:29Speaker 1: you know, start my own business, open up business companies
- 38:32Speaker 1: and all of that. A lot of stuff I've been
- 38:34Speaker 1: interested in I've been knocking out throughout these past two
- 38:36Speaker 1: years that I've been stepping away from the game since
- 38:39Speaker 1: Sacramento take care of my daughter, but I got its
- 38:41Speaker 1: real estate, Crypto. I got a chance to learn all
- 38:45Speaker 1: that stocks, you know, and really teach myself all that shit.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And that's what's important. Man. Like you see now, so
- 38:50Speaker 1: many athletes, we don't hear too many of those typical
- 38:52Speaker 1: stories of like athletes are going broken more because it's
- 38:54Speaker 1: it's draining the like I don't want to be a
- 38:55Speaker 1: thirty for thirty, but I got all these avenues and
- 38:57Speaker 1: it's people to teach you. But like you said, you
- 38:59Speaker 1: went back to school. You didn't go to iv Tech,
- 39:01Speaker 1: no disrespect the ib Tech, but you went to the
- 39:03Speaker 1: fucking IVY League. Like I can't only imagine the last
- 39:07Speaker 1: time I went back and look at a fucking textbook.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And like you said, when you was back in school,
- 39:10Speaker 1: you was win milling should getting your grades if you
- 39:12Speaker 1: weren't trying. That's hard. Yeah, I couldn't imagine going on
- 39:17Speaker 1: school the dog. It was crazy though, because it's like
- 39:21Speaker 1: all right, y'all know Gillette Razors Safer, It's like, all right,
- 39:24Speaker 1: we got to break down the company, look at a
- 39:26Speaker 1: bunch of numbers and it's like, what did they do
- 39:29Speaker 1: that was different that made them successful? And like when
- 39:31Speaker 1: they shit wasn't selling, they cut the prices in half
- 39:34Speaker 1: or they cut it down a certain amount. So it's
- 39:36Speaker 1: just knowing how to operate that business and like how
- 39:38Speaker 1: to because these folks talk about two hundred million, three
- 39:40Speaker 1: hundred million dollar companies like it's nothing. You know, the
- 39:44Speaker 1: owner I knew I wanted to get into business to
- 39:46Speaker 1: be involved in all this stuff. When the owner of Minnesota,
- 39:49Speaker 1: his name Glenn Taylor, but he owned a recycling company.
- 39:52Speaker 1: He come into games every day laughing at us on
- 39:55Speaker 1: the court, you know, just happy. I'm like, whoa dude? Different?
- 39:59Speaker 1: I wantn't do that, you know, but paper exactly. So
- 40:02Speaker 1: that's what it's about, man. It's just leveling up so
- 40:04Speaker 1: I can teach my daughter, I could teach the next generations.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Like you said, I got a foundation, but I think
- 40:09Speaker 1: it's important that we learn all that stuff so we
- 40:11Speaker 1: can stay on top, not just get there. That's what
- 40:13Speaker 1: I'm saying. We got to stay on top. Yeah, because,
- 40:17Speaker 1: like like you said, the way that they break down companies,
- 40:18Speaker 1: you'd be like, damn that this ship on a two
- 40:20Speaker 1: hundred dollar company. I'd be happy if I had a
- 40:22Speaker 1: ten million dollar company. And then you see that difference
- 40:25Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, okay, you gotta play this game.
- 40:28Speaker 1: That shit crazy. Yeah, exactly exactly, And we got it
- 40:32Speaker 1: in us because it's with everything, the same thing with
- 40:34Speaker 1: the shoe game. Everything that we do, it's ways to
- 40:37Speaker 1: whatever you interested in, it's ways to build that out,
- 40:40Speaker 1: to be a master at that and to make a
- 40:42Speaker 1: successful business. Yeah you know what I'm saying, especially with marketing,
- 40:46Speaker 1: because we make everything dope, Like we'd be we'd be
- 40:49Speaker 1: champion the craziest shit and we'd be the reason when
- 40:51Speaker 1: it dies. Yeah, like we really be having all the
- 40:54Speaker 1: control ship. If niggas got on TV and we say
- 40:56Speaker 1: hey we don't with George no more and really stuck
- 40:58Speaker 1: to it, it's gonna be a different They go sit
- 41:01Speaker 1: on the store. Yeah, you ain't got away for your
- 41:03Speaker 1: Jorgans in the middle. You got a river Oaks to
- 41:05Speaker 1: pick them sits up. When you stopped hoping, did you
- 41:07Speaker 1: go straight to school or you took a little break? Yeah? Nah.
- 41:11Speaker 1: So when I was with the Kings, and I think
- 41:14Speaker 1: it was February marks when I got released, and a
- 41:18Speaker 1: lot of people don't know I had hyper extending my
- 41:20Speaker 1: knee twice. So I'm on the court. I think I
- 41:22Speaker 1: was closing out on Jimmy Butler with the heat and
- 41:25Speaker 1: closing out, and it's just my knee just locked and
- 41:28Speaker 1: just gave out. And that's a scary feeling when you
- 41:30Speaker 1: just running and you just give out. So that ended
- 41:32Speaker 1: up twice right before the King situation. I ended up
- 41:36Speaker 1: leaving the team and then just got my got my
- 41:38Speaker 1: stuff right here in Indianapolis is home for me, make
- 41:41Speaker 1: sure my knee was right, got all the therapy ship born, yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 1: and then yeah, and then just make sure I make
- 41:47Speaker 1: sure I just handle what I wanted to handle, what
- 41:49Speaker 1: I wanted to do with my time. And now I
- 41:52Speaker 1: got everything that I need to get out the way
- 41:54Speaker 1: and now focused on getting back to the league. And
- 41:56Speaker 1: like I said, started my business. I ain't announced it yet,
- 41:59Speaker 1: but something to do with involving with dunking and hooping
- 42:02Speaker 1: for the for the next generation. It's introducing that to them.
- 42:06Speaker 1: So you know, I got the sauce, the secrets to that,
- 42:09Speaker 1: to that skill, and we could talk about that. I
- 42:11Speaker 1: remember when he was doing the dunk contest, like it's
- 42:14Speaker 1: a way to jump. Yeah. I'm like, you just go
- 42:17Speaker 1: go through the drip. He's like, nah, it's a secret
- 42:19Speaker 1: to everything. Man, this niggas. You got some space gym.
- 42:25Speaker 1: The strip shoes, remember that I bought all of them
- 42:28Speaker 1: and everything. So that's the reason why I'm doing this
- 42:30Speaker 1: is because I bought the shoes where it gave you
- 42:32Speaker 1: the heel or whatever you couldn't touch the ground. And
- 42:35Speaker 1: you know, I bought the DVDs to get my vertical
- 42:37Speaker 1: up and I put sat in my shoes like Jordan
- 42:39Speaker 1: everything and I figured out that the secrets to jump
- 42:43Speaker 1: and the sauce to jump. And so that's hard. I
- 42:45Speaker 1: want to get back and do that, but scale it
- 42:47Speaker 1: out and make it a business as you should. Yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 1: don't do nothing for free. You can't now, don't do
- 42:52Speaker 1: nothing for free. And that's hard. Like you said, you know,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you stuck that in there. You say you're working back,
- 42:56Speaker 1: you know, sing to get back activity streets. You know
- 42:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You see they headed out the bags,
- 43:00Speaker 1: go get you another one. I got a couple of
- 43:02Speaker 1: questions for you know what I'm saying. Far as your
- 43:04Speaker 1: poke career, what was the favorite team you're playing on
- 43:06Speaker 1: so far? The Warriors without a doubt. I can fucking
- 43:09Speaker 1: imagine a lot of people. That's a crazy topic because
- 43:12Speaker 1: a lot of people, you know, they shit on us
- 43:14Speaker 1: that year with the Warriors. They like, oh, y'all, y'all
- 43:16Speaker 1: was ya was trash and you know we we was like,
- 43:19Speaker 1: we didn't win a lot of games. But I'm looking
- 43:21Speaker 1: at it like, I'm here guarding Brian every night. I'm
- 43:24Speaker 1: guarding Brian Kauai PG. You know, every night, I'm at
- 43:28Speaker 1: that three spot. I'm starting. I'm doing what I gotta
- 43:31Speaker 1: do on both ends of the court, having the career numbers.
- 43:34Speaker 1: But besides all of that, playing with Dre Klay Thompson,
- 43:39Speaker 1: Steph Curry, getting to see them like what they really like.
- 43:42Speaker 1: It was crazy. Like Steve Kerr, I remember during practice
- 43:45Speaker 1: one time, he's like, all right, we're gonna call the
- 43:47Speaker 1: play reverse. He's like, nah, scratch that, I gotta I
- 43:50Speaker 1: drop a tesla. I'm gonna click it like this verse.
- 43:54Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, But it's just stuff like that way
- 43:57Speaker 1: keep us locked in. Were laughing and shit, But he like,
- 44:00Speaker 1: you think it's a funny joke, but we really like
- 44:02Speaker 1: locked in. Now we're like, all right, reverse everybody rubbing verse.
- 44:05Speaker 1: You know. But Coach like that man he sometimes you
- 44:08Speaker 1: walk in the gym, he like seventy five, Sonny, just
- 44:10Speaker 1: go and enjoy some somening, get your shots up, go
- 44:12Speaker 1: and enjoy the sun. No practice, damn you know what
- 44:14Speaker 1: I'm saying? What going for that? You need? What you
- 44:20Speaker 1: wasn't doing that? Bud was kind of like bubb would do.
- 44:22Speaker 1: That was like that. What was their work ethic? Like
- 44:26Speaker 1: seeing Draymond and there. I mean, I know you clearly
- 44:30Speaker 1: think you a thousand ice on your thinking. I know
- 44:35Speaker 1: you're you've been dedicated to their motherfucking bait, that little
- 44:45Speaker 1: lit my size of it. Nigga, alright, no, you're working
- 44:51Speaker 1: that waking bait. How was they ship though? Like watching
- 44:55Speaker 1: them like way step Steph Curry is is like a
- 45:00Speaker 1: beast man. Yeah, anything hand eye coordination. I think I've
- 45:03Speaker 1: seen an interview with andre Igudalla saying it, but anything
- 45:06Speaker 1: hand eye coordination, where if Steph would shoot, like shooting
- 45:09Speaker 1: from a mile away, he's gonna hit the target. If
- 45:12Speaker 1: he's darts, he gonna hit the target, pool table, he's
- 45:15Speaker 1: gonna he gonna knock that down anything, hand eye coordination,
- 45:18Speaker 1: steph owning and that he really liked that. But as
- 45:21Speaker 1: far as like his practice time, it's crazy, man, dude,
- 45:24Speaker 1: don't stop running. You see why he is shape. Yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You see why he is successful.
- 45:29Speaker 1: He gets to the gym early every day and he
- 45:32Speaker 1: put it in his work, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:33Speaker 1: So I respect all of him because too, Drea pull
- 45:37Speaker 1: up to pull up here to the pock put you know,
- 45:39Speaker 1: you know Dray coolest hell so same thing with Clay.
- 45:43Speaker 1: They all just they don't operate like the superstar mentality
- 45:46Speaker 1: where they can you know what I'm saying. They operate
- 45:49Speaker 1: off off love for the teammates. You can't do nothing
- 45:52Speaker 1: but respect that for sure. Yeah, I'm gonna that's always
- 45:56Speaker 1: be one of my fighter players. But you can tell
- 45:58Speaker 1: like the culture like you so I hate when people
- 46:00Speaker 1: say that were but you could tell like the culture,
- 46:02Speaker 1: like the relationships they gout there like that ship genuine
- 46:05Speaker 1: but especially like y'all who playing the multiple teams. You
- 46:08Speaker 1: go from places that's really lit like that, and then
- 46:10Speaker 1: you go to another organization. It's like, Nah, these niggas
- 46:12Speaker 1: ain't on this at all. It's hard to dial in
- 46:15Speaker 1: after that shit, like you got a really different sit
- 46:19Speaker 1: Let's talk about that practial school with oh yeah, yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I mean I went from Atlanta to the Paces. I
- 46:26Speaker 1: love the people with the people with the Pacers are
- 46:29Speaker 1: good people. Like the people around the organization and good people.
- 46:32Speaker 1: But that team was just not boy dysfunctional. It was
- 46:36Speaker 1: I love people with the Pacers that make them, you know,
- 46:40Speaker 1: like a decent organization as they do to small things
- 46:43Speaker 1: like when I came here, I was in Minnesota when
- 46:45Speaker 1: nobody that helped me find a crib. My mama out
- 46:48Speaker 1: there with me. We're trying to go get my friendly
- 46:50Speaker 1: to you know, practices, and shit. I get to Indiana,
- 46:54Speaker 1: they got everything set up. You know, can and call like, hey,
- 46:57Speaker 1: we got the house is set up. You want to
- 46:58Speaker 1: go check out the cribs we got for dealership. You know,
- 47:01Speaker 1: everything lined up with the Pacers. That's all right, you
- 47:05Speaker 1: know everything else that was going on during that time,
- 47:07Speaker 1: that real crazy time for the Pacers in Indiana. That
- 47:11Speaker 1: Pacer team, the organization is great. That it was really
- 47:14Speaker 1: good people. What's your funniest Pacier moment though? Off the
- 47:16Speaker 1: court with the squad, did y'all ever go out somewhere
- 47:19Speaker 1: at least I know it was hectic. But can you
- 47:22Speaker 1: remember time when y'all stepped out somewhere and y'all just
- 47:25Speaker 1: enjoyed each other? Pause? But you know what I mean,
- 47:27Speaker 1: just take it. I don't remember really doing much of
- 47:30Speaker 1: the team really ain't two games, y'a niggas didn't go
- 47:34Speaker 1: to one little. I mean we went places, but like
- 47:37Speaker 1: as a group, we wouldn't. Like that's a different as
- 47:40Speaker 1: team though. If you look at the different individuals on
- 47:42Speaker 1: that team, I can't see them niggas. Click it up.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I remember was it YR year. I think I got
- 47:47Speaker 1: hurt and there was my ankle. I got hurt my niggle,
- 47:50Speaker 1: and I got back from my surgery, and the whole
- 47:52Speaker 1: team was at my crib. We was doing some type
- 47:54Speaker 1: of like team buying. It was it was a mandatory
- 47:56Speaker 1: team buying it things. I was like, yeah, we're gonna
- 47:59Speaker 1: have it at my crib. And I ended up getting hurt.
- 48:02Speaker 1: So I come back from surgery. You know, I'm high
- 48:04Speaker 1: off this stuff that they gave you from the surgery.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I just popped the perk thirty I get back to
- 48:09Speaker 1: the crib. I don't know anybody that's there. You know,
- 48:12Speaker 1: I'm feeling wave like the whole the whole paces squad
- 48:15Speaker 1: is in there, you know. So that was funny, said,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I never forget that day. I thought you was on
- 48:19Speaker 1: that too. Now I wouldn't know that same year, the
- 48:21Speaker 1: year I was there. That's when you was like coming
- 48:23Speaker 1: into your own and I'm like, why y'a don't start
- 48:25Speaker 1: this fool. I was throwing him live. We had a
- 48:28Speaker 1: little backdoor play. I'm like every time every time I
- 48:32Speaker 1: used to say that. He was like every time, I'm
- 48:35Speaker 1: every time. It did, but they wouldn't feeling that they was.
- 48:41Speaker 1: But I remember when he was starting on a win
- 48:43Speaker 1: street because we was winning all our games at home
- 48:46Speaker 1: and then you know, yeah, shit go well yeah, I'll
- 48:50Speaker 1: be so sad talking about you know, I love it,
- 48:52Speaker 1: but so sad. The energy just drained. It wasn't like that.
- 48:58Speaker 1: It was like that's you could have been good. We're
- 49:00Speaker 1: supposed to be. It was supposed to be. If you
- 49:02Speaker 1: go down there, man, that was cool, bro, were supposed
- 49:06Speaker 1: We started the year off with stucky. We had so
- 49:08Speaker 1: many people on that team. It was so many forgot
- 49:11Speaker 1: under six foot gards of that team, man, so many
- 49:15Speaker 1: you shout c J Miles. Ye, did we have c
- 49:20Speaker 1: J Watson at some point too? We had all the
- 49:24Speaker 1: CJ fuck because I remember I text this nigga after
- 49:28Speaker 1: the first game. I said, you know what, my fucking
- 49:30Speaker 1: mouths he might be worth for them, said, I'm not
- 49:35Speaker 1: fucking with Jeff. I never get Jeff hit that. That
- 49:40Speaker 1: fake passed and then threw that bitch off, and I
- 49:42Speaker 1: was like, oh, we lift this ship. He can't push
- 49:45Speaker 1: that bitch and then we just looked in everybody was
- 49:47Speaker 1: like fuck. But really we just couldn't win on the road. Bro,
- 49:50Speaker 1: we want all our games. We want like thirty games
- 49:54Speaker 1: at home. Were losing to the nets at that time.
- 49:56Speaker 1: That's when the next when we was listening to everybody
- 50:01Speaker 1: on the road. But I think we want like seven
- 50:03Speaker 1: games on the road. I try to think it was though.
- 50:06Speaker 1: I think it was just well. But obviously in talent,
- 50:09Speaker 1: it wasn't that food. The chemistry, it was all bad.
- 50:13Speaker 1: As soon as I got there, as soon as I
- 50:15Speaker 1: walked in the door, it was can we blame it
- 50:18Speaker 1: on you? It was a lot of I was the team,
- 50:23Speaker 1: like the team mentor yeah I was. I was a
- 50:27Speaker 1: young young everybody's doing but you know, Mama's coming to me,
- 50:31Speaker 1: you know, And I'm like, yeah, I'm just trying to
- 50:32Speaker 1: keep up with the way, with everything that's going on,
- 50:35Speaker 1: you know, my eyesight, I'm trying to look around see
- 50:38Speaker 1: what's going on every day. It was something I'm like, man,
- 50:41Speaker 1: this is crazy. I just put my head down like
- 50:43Speaker 1: that get some money mantra the third But I used
- 50:49Speaker 1: to tell him like, bro, you're gonna be good. You
- 50:50Speaker 1: just gotta play. I gotta let you play. Yeah, it
- 50:53Speaker 1: was not playing like they shouldn't. That's crazy. So we
- 50:58Speaker 1: can blame Jeffer that Basil teams, which is in that's right,
- 51:01Speaker 1: that's wrong with that. We played a big part. I
- 51:04Speaker 1: probably was like six, I take that. That's a nice
- 51:09Speaker 1: shot because I just went open to being like yeah,
- 51:14Speaker 1: I mean we talked about it. I'm going to open
- 51:16Speaker 1: to the idea of being like that guy. I was
- 51:19Speaker 1: like that, they're gonna have to be cool with me.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Abody about to be all around. Ain't ride nobody meat
- 51:24Speaker 1: paused like how to be but you were supposed to
- 51:28Speaker 1: jump up, peg back bron see what I'm saying, messy.
- 51:35Speaker 1: It was just to trying the rumors to bring Gord
- 51:37Speaker 1: herod in what I'm saying, Bro, it wouldn't neat Bro.
- 51:43Speaker 1: They love God here they still I wouldn't mad. No.
- 51:47Speaker 1: We played the Hornets last weekend. I heard the broadcast.
- 51:49Speaker 1: It was like, God, they would be a great addition.
- 51:51Speaker 1: How I swear to guy. No, no, y'all could use me.
- 51:55Speaker 1: No stop that happened. That's gonna happen. It's gonna happen
- 51:58Speaker 1: to the We're gonna retire. Look what they did the
- 52:01Speaker 1: Ricky Rubio. They wished him to be a pacer forever.
- 52:03Speaker 1: He didn't even play. It was like, at some point,
- 52:05Speaker 1: we gonna get this nigga on the rock. Trying to
- 52:09Speaker 1: get Ricky for like three straight years. He was there
- 52:10Speaker 1: last year, but remember he was hurt. He didn't ever
- 52:12Speaker 1: play for the places, but they were determined to get
- 52:14Speaker 1: them motherfucking three or seven and get them. That's what
- 52:16Speaker 1: they gonna do. What year did you entered the Dunk concert?
- 52:21Speaker 1: Seventeen seventeen when that was the next year? Yeah, it
- 52:25Speaker 1: was it was that year. Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, yeah yeah,
- 52:29Speaker 1: because that's when I came up to you, I'm about
- 52:32Speaker 1: to win this motherfucker and he was in there practicing. Yeah,
- 52:35Speaker 1: and I'm watching the nigga through the door. Oh shit,
- 52:40Speaker 1: I see what he's doing. Like, I ain't gonna say that,
- 52:43Speaker 1: but I'm like, okay, how quick did you sign that?
- 52:47Speaker 1: Shooting with that with that that championship man, Well, it
- 52:50Speaker 1: was crazy. I was signing d Way shoes, so you know,
- 52:53Speaker 1: coming out we could talk about that. It was they
- 52:55Speaker 1: give you the options, you know, Nike gonna give you
- 52:57Speaker 1: like a little twenty five bands and give you like
- 53:00Speaker 1: the resting gear, you know, twenty five bands, twenty five
- 53:02Speaker 1: bands and gear, and Adida's gonna get you like whatever.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Leading was like, all right, we'll throw you were back.
- 53:08Speaker 1: So I'm like, all right, I'm going with leading the
- 53:10Speaker 1: gate after gate and uh, I was one of the
- 53:13Speaker 1: first ones, you know, that take that type of deal.
- 53:15Speaker 1: It was my rookie year. D Wade ended up seeing
- 53:17Speaker 1: me with the Summer League and then I did a
- 53:20Speaker 1: three sixty. D Wade seeing me and I was like,
- 53:22Speaker 1: now you coming up a way a Wade. So ever
- 53:24Speaker 1: since then me and d Wade we got cool. He
- 53:26Speaker 1: let me make my own shoes. I put the logo
- 53:28Speaker 1: on my shoes. We did a shoot here in that
- 53:30Speaker 1: list everything. But so we was like, Yo, we want
- 53:33Speaker 1: to do a crazy shoot for the Dunk contest. When
- 53:36Speaker 1: you take pictures and the flash go the show, whole
- 53:39Speaker 1: shoe gonna be reflective and it's gonna gonna change colors.
- 53:42Speaker 1: So they did that on the shoe for me and
- 53:44Speaker 1: I ended up. I had like two or three different
- 53:45Speaker 1: shoes that I wore, but the eyes were stacked against
- 53:49Speaker 1: me crazy. I remember it was me, Aaron Gordon, DeAndre Jordan,
- 53:55Speaker 1: and Derek Jones Junior and my age and had called
- 54:00Speaker 1: me because at first, I'm like, nah, I don't think
- 54:02Speaker 1: you know I can dunk, but I don't think I'm
- 54:04Speaker 1: gonna do to dunk contest. I don't know if this
- 54:05Speaker 1: is for me. I don't do that type of style
- 54:07Speaker 1: duncing and uh. He called me back and was like,
- 54:11Speaker 1: I got somebody for you, and I was like, okay,
- 54:14Speaker 1: let me talk to dude. He texts me, you're gonna
- 54:16Speaker 1: do a three sixty between the legs. He was like,
- 54:19Speaker 1: throw it off the backboard, double tack tap between. He
- 54:22Speaker 1: texts me a list of ten dunks I had never
- 54:24Speaker 1: heard before. I was he out his mind choosing a
- 54:29Speaker 1: fuck NBA Jamin. You know. Way I met up with dude.
- 54:33Speaker 1: He came to the Pacers facility one time after practice.
- 54:36Speaker 1: We walked through the dunks that he had on the list,
- 54:39Speaker 1: and I started making them ships. And then he started
- 54:41Speaker 1: stacking my cousin on top of boxes. So at this point,
- 54:44Speaker 1: my cousin like seven one, seven two, I'm clearing him.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I'm jumping over him. It's the first time I ever
- 54:49Speaker 1: tried to jump over somebody. In forty minutes, I'm started
- 54:52Speaker 1: clearing dude. I'm like, yeah, we're gonna win the dunk. Yeah.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Remember that's the practice he was telling I'm winning this.
- 55:00Speaker 1: The pacer aside Jim was pacside Jim. All the brick
- 55:02Speaker 1: in it. It's still there and it's just the favorite now. Yeah.
- 55:06Speaker 1: So yeah, man. And then we got to New Orleans
- 55:08Speaker 1: and you know, I didn't go out. I didn't do nothing.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, I ain't going out. I ain't partying,
- 55:14Speaker 1: damn in the weekend. I'm here to win a dunk
- 55:16Speaker 1: contest because ever since a kid, that's what I wanted
- 55:18Speaker 1: to do. You know, I've seen pops want a ring
- 55:20Speaker 1: and all that, but it ain't nobody want a dunk contest.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, I went une as a kid, I
- 55:25Speaker 1: broke my glass, the backboard, and you know, in my
- 55:28Speaker 1: mom's crib outside, I broke the whole shout out the
- 55:31Speaker 1: whole backboard and everything, trying to lower the room and
- 55:33Speaker 1: dunk as a kid. So I'm replaying this in my
- 55:36Speaker 1: mind as we pull up Aaron Gordon in the locker room,
- 55:40Speaker 1: h DeAndre Jordan locker room. Nobody stretched. We get out
- 55:44Speaker 1: there and I'm the only one that's stretching. You know,
- 55:46Speaker 1: I do some practice dunks. Nobody stretched, nobody did nothing.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I still got that same mentality. I go out there.
- 55:52Speaker 1: My first dunk was my best dunk. I stacked my
- 55:54Speaker 1: cousin on top of somebody's shoulders, cleared them, and I scared.
- 55:58Speaker 1: I feel like I scared the competition and gored messed
- 56:01Speaker 1: up his dunks. I just do it, messed up they
- 56:03Speaker 1: ducks and I ended up winning. And I remember grabbing
- 56:05Speaker 1: a trophy if I like, I blacked out as soon
- 56:07Speaker 1: as I graduated everything I wanted in my life, my
- 56:09Speaker 1: life as a kid blacked out as I grabbed. I
- 56:11Speaker 1: don't remember nothing else that happened as I raised my
- 56:14Speaker 1: head and uh, I grabbed a trophy, walked off and
- 56:18Speaker 1: Meek Mill was on the left and I was blacked out.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I just walked straight past him, and I think it
- 56:23Speaker 1: was my mom one of my homies was like, hey, gee,
- 56:25Speaker 1: that's me right there. And as a kid, you know,
- 56:27Speaker 1: high school, growing up, me was that guy. Like I
- 56:30Speaker 1: was listening to all of me. That my god, you know,
- 56:32Speaker 1: that's probably my favorite rapper. You're a dream chaser, man,
- 56:36Speaker 1: what's crazy? I'm about the story. I ran back to
- 56:39Speaker 1: him and shook his head. I'm like, I couldn't think
- 56:40Speaker 1: of nothing. I'm still blacked at this point. I'm like,
- 56:42Speaker 1: Jane Chases, Yeah, dream chasing, I see it, Melie. After that, though,
- 56:58Speaker 1: it was crazy, I started me a bunch of different people.
- 57:01Speaker 1: I started to come into my own like ice Cube said,
- 57:03Speaker 1: what's up at the garden? You know, all type of
- 57:05Speaker 1: stuff when we started playing, So it was love after that.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Then it's hard because, like you, I don't know what
- 57:11Speaker 1: they're gonna do with the Duck contest. Hopefully they get
- 57:13Speaker 1: this ship back because last year definitely wasn't it. It
- 57:17Speaker 1: was good this year though, Mac did this thing, yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 1: but the other ship was it was. It was good, bro, bro.
- 57:27Speaker 1: That's why I'll be hitting them dunks. That that Mac
- 57:29Speaker 1: was on. That's what I was talking about a little
- 57:31Speaker 1: bit about my course, them all them all secrets, them
- 57:33Speaker 1: all a little you know what I'm saying. You've seen
- 57:36Speaker 1: it in that gym. So I want to teach the youth,
- 57:39Speaker 1: like give away some of them tips, Like if I
- 57:41Speaker 1: told you, like, hey, this is the one thing I'm
- 57:43Speaker 1: gonna give away free game. The Dunk coach when he
- 57:46Speaker 1: came up to me, he was like, hey, g go
- 57:48Speaker 1: between the legs. And I tried to do it between
- 57:50Speaker 1: the legs, Dunk, I missed it. He was like, yo,
- 57:53Speaker 1: go up under the knee. It's the same thing. It's
- 57:55Speaker 1: just an illusion. I went up under my knee. I
- 57:58Speaker 1: started cockingmics back when I did it. I'm like, whoa, Yeah,
- 58:01Speaker 1: it seeks to all of it. So that's just and
- 58:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to the youngest out there. Fass. That's wild.
- 58:12Speaker 1: But that makes sense though. So duncan under is the
- 58:18Speaker 1: exact saying. I mean, it's gonna look whatever it's gonna look. Saying,
- 58:23Speaker 1: really damn if you're doing it between the legs, Dune, Yeah,
- 58:26Speaker 1: because most people between you're gonna try to go between
- 58:28Speaker 1: your legs and do all of this. It's like not
- 58:30Speaker 1: just go up under your do a skip with with
- 58:32Speaker 1: the dunk, go up under your knee and you'll get it.
- 58:34Speaker 1: That makes weight. It makes a lot of sense when
- 58:36Speaker 1: you just made it that simple. So it's a bunch
- 58:38Speaker 1: of stuff that's really that simple. Damn you all know
- 58:40Speaker 1: how two K got the whole layout where it's like,
- 58:42Speaker 1: all right, you can do. Jordan's done, Blake Griffin's done.
- 58:44Speaker 1: All that I could teach you. Jordan's done, Blake Griffin's done.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Anybody's duck. It's all. It's all just a simulation. You know.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It's it's easy. So I'm excited to tee. That's being
- 58:54Speaker 1: out through Harvard through Harbor. You heard the last part.
- 58:57Speaker 1: It makes through Harvard. Yeah something you got tips and ship.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I thought you had some drugs. My young boy the
- 59:08Speaker 1: eighth grade. How much conscription? What we gotta do because
- 59:14Speaker 1: I'm out in my head. She went to Harvard. She
- 59:17Speaker 1: got a peep plug, tapty gonna get that bra that
- 59:29Speaker 1: little bobby up he is closed, gonna take keep up
- 59:37Speaker 1: through the I'm about to take that. You got a
- 59:43Speaker 1: new visiting. I'm about to work on shore. We're gonna
- 59:48Speaker 1: put the podcast, hold to go back and home for
- 59:50Speaker 1: two years getting my knees back. I think he's got cabbage.
- 59:55Speaker 1: So you are stupid man. How is it? Uh? How
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: has it been, I'm saying, training to getting back to
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: get to game speed? Like, how has that been? Tapping
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: back in heavier to it? Like you said you was
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: in school and that was your your undervided focus, especially
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: with you having to baby taking care of that situation.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: How is it back now? You're feeling a little back
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: into the game or did it ever leave or do
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: you feel rejuvenated with it again? Yeah, it's it's it's
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: funny because I gotta love hey, relationship for the game.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I always have and since I've grown up, you know,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it's it's what I do. But I got a passion
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: for a lot of other things. But I can only
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: get to the other things through doing this, and that's
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: what I do and as part of what I do,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and I love hooking, you know. But it's at times
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: where and I did, I took a step away. I
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: handled what I had to handle when stuff was crazy,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: it was all over the place, you know. I got
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: traded from on the plane. I got traded on the
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: plane from the Warriors to feel it. Y'all know how
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I go. And after so long, seven eight years, I'm like,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: whoa this is? This is a lot, you know what
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I'm saying. But I'm enjoying getting back to it and
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: getting it to that routine because I think that's one
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: thing about Hoopers is we got a routine where you
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: know how it is. We wake up on the daily
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and it's like, all right, we get to it and
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I work in throughout the day and then you handle
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: your business at the two three pm if you ain't
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: got a game. So that's it's been. It's been. I
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: moved to Cali recently, Okay, so I got a gym
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: right off the water, you know, right off the coast
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: that I can go work out and I love the water,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: so I get to see the water every day. Is stuff.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: So it's been about it. You got a good dass
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: trading facility. You are here in vacation mode. You know what,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: open the gym doors. And that's what people don't understand
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: a lot. And you can attest to this. It's not
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: that people don't like doing their profession in sports whatever
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: it is, but the business of sports is totally different
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: than the outside person would ever understand like you said,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: you got traded on the team flight. That's just like
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: me driving to work and mother telling me, yeah before
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: you pull up, don't like that'll fuck your whole day up,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: like you gotta go, which I got forty eight hours
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: to report and you might fuck around have to play. Yeah,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: that shit crazy to a US two. And people don't
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: understand how much they account that this thing all you
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: get paid a lot of money. No, my whole life
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: is changing. I gotta move my daughter across the nation.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I got a fonswhere to live between practice, like you said, yeah,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: so let me come out here in my first game.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I ain't in the rotation for two weeks. Real like
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: that shit, I can understand like that way on people.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: People don't understand like that performance shit is real, like
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you gotta perform. Yeah, yeah, No, it is what it is,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you know. And I think it's I understand the fans
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: side of it. I think it's just a lot of
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: people gotta realize we're real people at the end of
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the day. So you know, I'm not with the whole
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: like you know everybody when and a half they time
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: to shine on the mic and talk crazy Stephen A. Smith.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: We don't get to him, but you know, everybody want
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to put the mic in front of the face and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: said crazy. I'm not that type of type of person.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: You know, it is what it is. But I think
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: fans should realize that we were human beings at the
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: same time, so anything regards don't be tweeting crazy stuff.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: The DMS is, you know what I'm saying. I really
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: didn't understand how crazy fans was until we got to
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: the league. And you know, after the game they sent
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: you some crazy they say anything anything, so they'd fan
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: duels all they started coming around, they started betting, and
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: now it's really popular. You know, six seven years ago
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I first came to the league, they was on that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I'm like, man, now it's crazy with the whole bad
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: and I can only imagine what they say by some
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: people walking. They got started on a Bobby Porter's rebounds.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Bro I got the most hate mail I ever got
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: in my life. It was like a parlor. I don't
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: even know how to go. But Bobby needed ten rebounds
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: to everybody to win. So you know how Bobby got
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the little chance everybody Bobby. Yeah, that ship came from
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: that because nigga. He was about to win a parlor,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: so like he needed one more rebound, but was like
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: took him out. They like Bob, Bobby, Bob. Everybody really
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: yelling Bobby. So Bobby standing up like they with me.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I'm like yeah, and I'm like, damn, they really love
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: this nigga. And then one of the things like they
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: needs one more rebounds to you fucked it out and
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I'm like like what nah yeah nahe but like it
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: was way earlier in the game and the rebound came
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: to me, like Bobby was right there and I just
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: grabbed it and like pushed the ball to court, and
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: they was just like that could have been a fucking rebound.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I could have won a thousand dollars. I'm like, yeah,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I just got crazy. Yeah, they'd be going crazy now.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: So hey, listen, I got beef with niggas to this
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: day I've never met because they sucked up a partlaf
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: But I ain't seen nobody that's out of pocket. B
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: When I was in Minnesota, Bro, they was out of pocket. Yeah.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: That's the only time you got like admitted, Yeah, I
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: got no love for Minnesota. You almost got some hate
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: meal from me for that Cleveland steak game. Man, I
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: would have gave oh yeah, yeah, I would have cared.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: You gotta have no flashback. But yeah, yeah that is now.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: But Minnesota, Nah, bro, I got one ounce of love.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I just got the type of Jeff t go on
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Twitter just half. I told you that shit is so funny.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: The Pacers picture of you hold your face on the
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: bitch is tweeted every day by some patients. Personally, I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: was like, this, nigga, don't even be on Twitter and
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: don't know how funny this is. Don't be on the crazy.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I literally Minnesota was like the worst experience ever. I
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: was swear the guy was already. I just cold, walk outside,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: make a fucking shot. Shoot, get the shoot a bit
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: like I would get the shoot. I got walking outside
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the warbest car. I was just like, I'll be mad
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: as it's Cold's not crazy cold? Is hey? I'm getting
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: gas turned watching drum be like, get Cat the ball,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: get the ball. It's crazy. Man's a fucking stupid wait.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Until that, I was like, they gotta give me the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: fuck out of here. I'm nothing to you getting twenty
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: three and get Cat the ball. But the guy you're
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: talking to and I lived downtown. So the worst Like
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I'm like yaally comes to the game, it ain't be empty.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: What was the best city or the worst city you
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: lived in? I mean, I'm gonna keep saying saying France was, man,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I had the time in my life and saying France
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: not the worst. The worst city Detroit, you know, me
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: being from Michigan a little bit better, but probably probably Sacramento,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the Kings, Kings or Philly. Even my Pops was a
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: little iffy on Philly both times. The Philly like here
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: we go again. That's how they don't like shit and
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Philly they don't like they you in the first quarter,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: they don't And that's when they love you. They love you.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: When they love you, they love you. Yeah, man, who
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: they love beside when Brett Brown was there, man feeling
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: for sure, Will, but everybody loves Will. They tough. They's
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: tough love and Philly love. It's tough. It's it's just
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: a it's just a hard city to playing. Like something
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: about the organization. Some some teams got that organization to
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: where it's just some rocky about them. I don't know, Damn,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: that's crazy. I see, well, you know, I'm a Patrios fan.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I don't know. Minnesota, it's just a Rocky likes. It's
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: probably cooler. I don't know, because that was probably getting
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: them there now, But before that it was a little spooky.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Yeah he was there, you know, it's like they actually
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: it's real cool people there. But it's just like some
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: we built up high. Yeah, rookie year. So at least
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: you had a little bit of that barely. And then
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: when we got that because Jimmy started complaining. Jimmy was like,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: take that down. Take that down that. I was like, this, dude, crazy, Damn,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: that's ugly. Take that down. Do y'all care about the players?
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Take this down? I'm like, damn, did you have you
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: had the sleeve jerseys where you was in Minnesota? The
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: NBA is nasty for that. I wanted one of them.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I thought, y'all fu with them. I mean, you ain't
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: on we with no fit, but the certain teams that had, yeah,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: we ain't had them with ripping bran different and you
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: got but you got in New Jersey now had the
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: sleeves all that, this would have been disgusting. Over the shoulder.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: The lead is wild out because I remember the Louisville Ones.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: When they play, I said, all these are nasty. These
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: are these are softball uniforms. That's when they started. They
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: had nigga v next they was out of pocket. That was, oh,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: that's nasty. So we got to get into it. Man, obvious.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: You know your pops is a legend. You know what
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. He had a particular Philly quote unquote a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: legend a little bit shook and speaking about how people
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: get on microphones to talk crazy, I think that, even
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: though it is hilarious, some of these niggas who had
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: podcasts while they play and have to chill out for
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: a second, the live updates after games be crazy because
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: they be talking insane about games that we know really
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: don't be matter. I fuck with it to a next
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: but I'd like something that ship be like, all right, y'all,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: like we got to chill out. Draymond should be funny
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: because Draymond know how to do that shit. Pat Beb
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: be hit or miss with me, even though I with
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Pat Beb. I think it all funny because I wish
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I would have did it, because I would have been
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: talking crazy in Minnesota. What I always gonna ta. I
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: would have been on there like you. This ship's awful
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: over here. They all passed the fucking ball. You aren't
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: even do it respectfully. You would have been lit though,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you would have been lit, but they would have got you.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: The fuck about it? Yeah, I would. I would have
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: been You would have got traded like you. I traded
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: like that bit. Where'd you find it? On the plane that?
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I was complained. I was coming to the coach to complaine, like,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: why the fuck you taking me out last night? He
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: was like, perfect, I need to talk. We've been waiting.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm like frying, what up? Man? Why are
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: you taking me out last night? Man? Gonna see your
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: t score. I scored eight in the quarter while you
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: take me out. You scored your last eight here? Then
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: don't walk in. He ain't like me from the beginning.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, you just got traded. I was like fuck.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, I did you a favor. I'm like,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: oh shit, I probably got to the maths. I'm about
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: to go to the playoffs. Sent you back to Atlanta?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: What worse than that? I was like, why are you
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: trade me there? He was like, you got a house, diret.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Don't you like it's motherfucker, that's crazy. It was like, cool,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: but that's crazy. Was this the same GM that got
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: you there? I was gonna say, there's no way that
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: could have happened in that year. God, my Minnesota when
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: they Minnesota kept me, I told you about that. I
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: was a rookie and it was a one time I
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: was sick and I'm sick. I'm like, I ain't going
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: to practice that. You know, you gotta go get a doctor.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I'm on my way to the doctor because you got
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to get a real excuse, like he really sick. I'm
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: on the way to the doctor. Agent called me like,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I think you're gonna get traded today. Don't go in.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I might not want to go in. So I'm at
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: the crib. I wasn't going in anyways. I'm sick. I
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: start calling everybody like, yo, it's the one time I've
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: been sick, the only time I'm a rookie. Na, y'all
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: can't do me like this. They ended up dropping my
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: bags off at the front at the front and garbage
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: bags in front of my condo build. It just dropped
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: it off and garbage maybe a different bro. It's a
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: brutal business and people don't understand. That's right, get as
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: much money as you can get on and like you said,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the relationships, you know what I'm saying, Like, look what
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: happened when you were in Michigan. You build a relationships
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: everywhere you go. You build a relationships with people to
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: like you said, once you get in bat you gotta
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: stay here because you get out. It's a strategy behind
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: it too, Like we talked about if you can go higher,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, or trying to scale out
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: to get you top ten or top of teen to team,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: because it really matter if you lottery pick that difference
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: between if you're gonna that first four years or not.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: You could be weak. But the GM with much rather
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: risk three years and almost being right, then wasting it
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: after one year and being wrong, because then his ass
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: is getting the ax exactly. Yea man, so many wonderful
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: sorts before we get out of here. We got we
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: gotta here. Man, the iconic, the iconic story Man, the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: two one nine legend on stephen A's ass Man, Where
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: where the fuck did this happen? From the man, It's
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it's a crazy story. I think it started from It's
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: a coach with the Bucks. I forget who was the
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: coach black? They had a black coach back then, and
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: you know, my pops, I guess they got into it.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: My pops, I don't care if you black, white or whatever.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: We don't agree. We don't agree. Stephen A. Smith found
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: it different and thought that Pops, you know what was
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: going at him because he's black. And we can do
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: the research and see who the coach was. But that's
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: it ain't none of my business. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: got none to do with me. But as we get
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to the story, stephen A. Whatever happened between them happened.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: My pops called me one day like a son. You
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: got a number of the TMZ from I. You know,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: something happened. The article came by Stephen had just said,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Stephen had just said something in the media, like I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: could find it for you. I made a couple of cars,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you know, got on the number. I turned on the
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: news TMZ Sports. It's like Big Dog asked to take
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith to the cage, to the USC cage
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: in the rain. Hell the post got him TMC secretary.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Oh wait, wait, he was gonna FaceTime. TMC called in.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I don't care what he SAYD tell him me me
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: in the cage. In the cage, yes, So I post
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: real about it. So next thing, I know, we have
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: a game in Houston, and we played in Houston. I'm
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: you know, I guard James Hard. I had a pretty
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: good game, and uh it was you know, Stephen had
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: noticed me afterwards, you know, and he didn't really know
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Glenn rops in the third. I don't know if it
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: clicked with him throughout my whole five years in the
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: league before that. So then he come up to me
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: in the back after the game and he was like, he's, hey, Glenn,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: you know whatever happened between me and your pops? You know,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: when I see him, I'm gonna tell him that I
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: didn't mean it was old is old. We're getting older.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: He got a son that's trying to make it in
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: the league, and I respect that you on your grind
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: and trying to do that. And I'm looking at him like,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: hold on, this is the same Steven Ay that's been
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: talking all this crazy at the all time. And I
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: can't wait to call my pops after that. Like he
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: just showed his card right here. That's exactly who he is.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, yeah, but yeah, I don't
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: like to beat that that personally. He tried to start
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: with players and how it's how it's brought about, and
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: then whatever said it said, it's done and need to
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: be done. But for some reason he just dragged the
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: thing along with my pops. And it's like, man, even
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: my pops say it was thirty years you know what
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, man, that was forever ago, and he
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: still want to put my name in his mouth, but
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Pop shut it down. Then when he said the UFC,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: he came and apologize quick. What's up with it? The
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: fact that he had you called TMZ, that's top two.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Fact that he FaceTime TNZ. I have never heard of,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: no interviews at all, No nothing, nobody heard from He
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: stayed itself. You know what I'm saying. And he called
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: me like you got the number that at all places
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: to a brother. That's why I had me weig. I
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: was stuck like Mark Spears, like he asked, nobody said TMC.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Pops will keep me around some messy motherfuckers because he
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: know what time it is, he knows what blog is.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Pop Man, we call it straight in. We gonna not
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: beat around the bloom. I mean he's smart though he
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: can't do ESP and they's gonna filter. He said, nah,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: who go get this message out? That motherfucker like hello,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: he was ready for it, man, he was. They let
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: him cussin on facetiwn with it. You ever think about
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: how crazy how much like how many points show Pops
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: at average in college, like playing in college, and you know,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: like that ship is Wow, it's even crazy my pops.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: So he didn't play his freshman year yea and Grace
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: and then that he had me. I was born the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: next year, damn. So they had me at school and
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: gen Katie off I probably said say this, Katie was
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: like it was like, yo, your firstborn son got a
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: scholarship to for too. I could have went, you know
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying, damn Matt. Yeah, so that player fucked
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: up the bag. So y'all lost in the first one.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: But man, it was crazy. It is crazy to look
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: back and see like everywhere I go, you know, out
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: here in Indiana, people know Pop's name legend bro. And
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: it's been always crazy for me to deal with as
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: growing up being a third having the same name as him,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: and I used to hate it growing up. But you know,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I hit a certain age al I was like, WHOA,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: this could actually help me, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I started to really my pop's cool. Like I started
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: to really see how cool my pops was. We do
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the same thing. I started to really take it for
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: what it was worth. But I never like sometimes I
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: go back and pop it. In his old games from Purdue,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: he dunked on greg osan tag. It's crazy to think
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: about number one player in the you know, college basketball
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: back then and a million and all of that stuff
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: is It's crazy, bro, The average that many points in
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: college is crazy. I don't know why that nigga always
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: just looks super big on and he is. Then my
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: brother is because he's six nine like this, Yeah, my
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: brothers six one and just like this, I just got
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: my at his height. Yeah, yeah, it's a difference. I
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: gotta ask you know what I'm saying. I know it's
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: a little bit of an a subscripency, you know what
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: I'm saying. Whence I get that one on one on
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: or that that ever happened, I know what happened to.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Somebody asked me this the other day and they was like, Yo,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: when was the first time that you beat your pops
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: one on one, and I was like, I think it
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: was probably around middle school, and we would go out
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: there in the summer with him for two weeks, and
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: so we stripped him up. We in the gym and
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I beat it was a game point, and I'm running
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: around the circles trying to get Pops tired. That's how
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I figured out I could beat him. I'm running around
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: circles like tea but the baby fucking circus. So finally
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I hit game. When it shot him, I ran out
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the gym and I never played him, saying I wouldn't. Yeah, man,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I beat him. That was probably like eighth grade, and
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I never played him again. So I couldn't get him
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to eighth grade though. I mean, sure you got him
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: a grade that's up. But still if we do a
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: shooting competition like that, he is still he is still
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: give me on one, like he still got his package. Nigga,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: that big bro moving like that. But he was really unguardable.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Swear to god, damn, that's crazy. Like you said, you
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: got him in eighth grade. Have you got him in
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: two k yet? Nah? Nah? He a legend ed in
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: He really cold. Yeah, he played two K more than
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: me and I played two K. You're ducking that smoke.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I ain't never ducking ducking that smoke ducking, but his
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: probably played two K. That's hard. And at that time
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I wasn't playing two K when I lived in the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Linna and he was owning you won't play. I'm like,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: he got us our first PlayStation, man, my brother, and
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: that's how we've been. You know, either somebody go Xbox
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: or PlayStation growing up, and then we went straight PlayStation.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: I never forget he walked in PlayStation. We could never
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: be him. And that's how he just left it at that.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: You gotta keep some of your kids, like you know
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: what you know, you gotta have some of your kids like,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. You're not gonna suck
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: me in this. I don't think my dad grab me
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: and nothing like that. I don't put it up. You
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: better than me at pools, better than me at pool.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: He's better than you at golf too, Bronig golf. But
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: you went out there. You're right, I could be better
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: than if I startin't wait till that day to come
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: on the show. Crazy Oh many first and four bouts man,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: we gotta say congratulations on your graduation. Oh yeah, go ahead,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: take off, Like what's that when you made to the league.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: What's that league moment for you? Like off the court,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: like we you know, everybody go out that first time.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: He'd be like, damn, I really in the league because
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: that dude just spend fifty thousand dollars, you know what
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I mean. Y'all was in Minnesota, so y'all was young,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: So like, did y'all have a moment like that? Man? Well,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: first I was a moment. I think it was my
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: fourth year and I was playing with the Pistons and
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: b G. Blake Griffin. Then I get to my rookie
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: but BG, we was We all went out to the club,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: you know, everybody on the team. We was out when
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I forgot what game it was. We won, We're feeling good,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: and Blake like, yeah, come out, we're gonna go here.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: So we all go. BG ain't never show up. So
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: we all in the locker room the next day, everybody tying,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: they shoot like looking around and Nigga like, do he know, man,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: we ran up the bill so bad that day, lighting up,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: bottle lighting up, bottle lighting up, just go ball, coming down,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: full of money everything. Everything. I forgot where we was.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Y'all was clowning. I forgot what we was. But we
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: came back to Detroit and we was in practice the
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: next day and we looked around in the locker room
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: and I was just looking at me. He said next
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: to me, I'm looking at him like, and he looked
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: like forgot looking at you know, you're talking. And everybody
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: was like nothing, don't worry about it. Ain't nobody ever
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: say nothing to him. It's probably the first time you
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: gonna find out him dollar Bill was just him spade.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Everything was on him. You know, you played with a
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: good vent like that, come to the club. You know
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: he had his card or whatever. Now in the whole situation,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: that's fun. We didn't have to worry about nothing. I
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: ain't get one of them. He gotta he got a
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: unbelievable bag for that. Yeah, Mo Williams. Though, he used
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: to give me his per diem every flight. He was
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: second round, so he knew it. It was like and
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: it was like a hundred, it was like one hundred
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and twenty five or whatever it was. But for him
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: to give that to me every flight, I was like
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: I'm like whoa like this per deem like whoa every
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: flight and you know we're going to La Trips two
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: weeks too. It's like two man in a little bag.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: We get every time every flight, Williams shout to my
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Williams never get. He came to Baker's life and gave
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: us fifty five man. Yeah, that's the team. Yes. I
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: could not believe it. I was just like, what the fuck?
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Fifty five? It was random two, It was a week
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: night picking. It was the craziest shit. I remember that video.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: He was and probably the last story I got for y'all.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: K D. I remember I got invited to the KD camp.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: As in high school, you wanted to make it as
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: a wing. So I'm like, I think I faced him
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: and everybody was scared to guard him. And you see
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: k D. He's seven foot, he's skinny as hell. I'm like,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I can lock him up. You know, I'm nineteen. I'm like, man,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I'm pushing him over because back that time, going into Michigan,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I was like, man, KAD came out there and hit
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: me with like a like a stiff arm lay up.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: Threw me back so bad. In high school, I was
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: as a seer, I'm like, nah, it's grown man strength.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: So I'm messaging him on Twitter and was like, yeah,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna see you in the league. And you know,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: I still got to tweet to this day, but he
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: ended up to tweet me back on DM like I
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: see you at the top, bro, And to that day,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I matched up against him and with the Warriors, and
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: he came at my neck three or four times straight.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I'm like, Yo, that's probably the toughest matchup that I
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: ever had. Was k D seven foot dribble shoot right
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: over you and shit, you got you gotta braun, you
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: gotta said. He was that negative. He's just like everybody Christmas, Bro.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: I don't even feel no way, how was gonna happen?
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Who liked the least expected person that you was hard
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: like you had to guard. Nobody would think like he
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: really liked that. We know everybody in the league is good.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Oh well, Luca, we know he liked that. Yeah. You
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: know then Luca, a couple of years ago, we didn't
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: know everything about his game. We just knew he was
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: coming from you know, overseas. Oh yeah, he started hitting
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: with the slow to quick and you know some of
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: them passed the ball and go cut off of it,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: some of the like euro League stuff. I was like, yo,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: he cold. It's hard to because he just looked like
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: he ain't about to do some of that stuff. But
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: shifty Aarona flollow my rookie year. Yes, they gassed me
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: up to come into the game. I had. I hadn't
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: got in the game like that yet. And I speak
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Flip Saunders had. He had just got sick, a Pete
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: flip and he had just got sick. And I think
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Sam sam Mitchell adventual the cover took over. He gave
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: me my shot. He was saying, was crazy as hell.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: He used to make you do all type of drills
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: fifty times, yelling at you. Yeah, I get in the
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: game myself. And he was gassing me up all morning
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: and fo hit three straight, three straight corner threes on me,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: fading away like Joe. You know, he he was cold.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Used to hate on that nigga still he thought he
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: was COVID man. He hit me with all that work
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: that day. I was like, yo, he really liked that
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: b he was. He was like that time, so that
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: probably that was probably the guy. I was like, yo,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: like all right, I know he was like that, I'm ahead,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: but he always averaged nineteen point six points a game
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: no matter where he was at. I told you he
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: used to hit on. I'm like, bro, he's really liked that. Bro,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: he could hold cooked me like that. Damn uh no
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: the Colo what nigga that he cooked me one game?
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: He was for the Spurs, who was like I remember
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: talking about he bore number twenty five and never forget
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: he was number twenty five, And I thought this nigga
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: was trash boy. He was terrible. It was going to work.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: What was this? It's probably like my fourth third or
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: fourth fild was that la? He gave you work? I
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: just didn't respect him like I was waiting for Tony Parker.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, and this nigga was killing It's my time. Yeah,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: he was going to work. I seen you with some
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: sneaky dunks, though, What was your probably favorite dunk that
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: she what was going to because I always wanted I
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: was running through d on somebody. Now my favorite dunk.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I dunked on Ray Allen. It what happened? Yeah? I
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: only like that because KG was just talking so bad
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: to me, and when I dunked on him like bitch.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Then I earbolt the game winner. KG followed me to
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: the tunnel. Nigga, don't ever fu with the basketball guy
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: like shit, I'm trying to run. I try to run
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: to the back of the tunnel like my fat y'all Joe,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: like everybody mad at me to you just hear KG
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: sniggle said sniggah. Hey, Airing was so crazy. Figured out
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: that man out the saddest sport wouldn't shit, don't the
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: part respect you? And then we played him in the
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: playoffs that year and he wouldn't say my name, like
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: he wouldn't acknowledge me, like you know how you gonna
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: shake Nigga's hand before the game. I'm like, yo, what up?
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: You know? Round though? Cool niggas. I want to go
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: reach for him that niggas is sporting started pacing. I'm like,
