- 0:00Speaker 1: I'll start Toyota Presents off the bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:03Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn say.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hester and Hester.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on the air, control the live from the Mercedes
- 0:18Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge studio.
- 0:20Speaker 3: It's off the bench, all right, rolling back in.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I remember three O TV, one of four, five ESPN,
- 0:44Speaker 2: Baton Rouge. Let's go out to the West Coast our
- 0:48Speaker 2: Guy Ross Jackson, Louisian Sports dot Net.
- 0:53Speaker 4: You know him, you love him covering the Saints out there.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Ross.
- 0:56Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Brother?
- 0:57Speaker 4: How we doing?
- 0:58Speaker 5: Hey man, I'm doing great, Glad to be here. Thanks,
- 1:00Speaker 5: having just wanted all right.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So, what's maybe been your biggest takeaway? Obviously, the Saints
- 1:04Speaker 2: they leave Metory, they go out west, they have a
- 1:07Speaker 2: preseason game against the Chargers, going to practice against the Rams.
- 1:10Speaker 2: What's kind of been the biggest takeaway maybe in the
- 1:13Speaker 2: road trip?
- 1:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I think the biggest thing that I would highlight,
- 1:16Speaker 5: sticking with the biggest story, which is that quarterback battle,
- 1:19Speaker 5: is that the quarterback battle got a lot more tight
- 1:22Speaker 5: out here and a lot more competitive out here. That
- 1:24Speaker 5: felt very much that quarterback battle like that was you know,
- 1:29Speaker 5: kind of spincer rattlers from the very beginning out in
- 1:32Speaker 5: uh Metai out in New Orleans, kind of getting you know,
- 1:35Speaker 5: accustomed to or being the guy that's already kind of
- 1:37Speaker 5: accustomed to the NFL game and the NFL speed and
- 1:41Speaker 5: all those other things. They kind of worked to his
- 1:42Speaker 5: advantage early on during training camp. But then the scenes
- 1:46Speaker 5: got out here in California and they did a lot
- 1:48Speaker 5: more of these kind of call it practice periods, so
- 1:50Speaker 5: they went away from kind of the scripted for working
- 1:53Speaker 5: this situation and this down and distance with this play
- 1:56Speaker 5: with this goal in mind, and it just got into
- 1:58Speaker 5: some live play calling almost like simulations scrimmages in some
- 2:02Speaker 5: cases as well. And that really kind of elevated Tyler
- 2:07Speaker 5: Shuck's game a bit, I think, and we've seen him
- 2:10Speaker 5: really build momentum here over the course of these West
- 2:13Speaker 5: Coast training camps. So now the things will go back
- 2:16Speaker 5: to do this preseason game on Sunday against the Jacksonville
- 2:20Speaker 5: Jaguars and still have a very very tight quarterback battle.
- 2:24Speaker 5: And so I think that would be my biggest takeaway
- 2:25Speaker 5: is just went from Spencer Ratler kind of leading the
- 2:28Speaker 5: way to at least it's still being now tight enough
- 2:31Speaker 5: for this battle to continue going into that second preseason game.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Rawson, I agree that it almost felt like they
- 2:36Speaker 2: were going to make a call, you know, the last
- 2:39Speaker 2: couple of days, maybe even after the first preseason game,
- 2:43Speaker 2: and then Shuck comes in, has some nice moments, certainly
- 2:45Speaker 2: nice two minute drive, and now it seems like they're,
- 2:49Speaker 2: you know, still in full on position battle mode. So like,
- 2:52Speaker 2: when do you think because I mean, like you said,
- 2:55Speaker 2: second preseason game, we know there's only three games now, Like,
- 2:57Speaker 2: when do you think a call is actually going to
- 2:59Speaker 2: be made?
- 3:00Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 3:01Speaker 5: I think the biggest thing that you're going to see
- 3:02Speaker 5: with this is that you might see two different calls, right,
- 3:05Speaker 5: you might see one that happens privately, and then you
- 3:07Speaker 5: have the announce that happens after the case. And so
- 3:10Speaker 5: a public announcement will probably be different than the actual
- 3:12Speaker 5: decision itself. But I think the Saints are in a
- 3:15Speaker 5: position now to where they could be just one really
- 3:18Speaker 5: strong performance away from either announcing or making up their
- 3:22Speaker 5: mind or kind of having that decision made for them.
- 3:24Speaker 5: I think that if you look at where the Saints
- 3:26Speaker 5: can be following that Jacksonville Jaguars game on Sunday. That
- 3:30Speaker 5: could be the big, you know, kind of situation there
- 3:33Speaker 5: that effectively tells them, hey, this is going to be
- 3:36Speaker 5: the guy that we're going to go with. I mean,
- 3:38Speaker 5: the Saints have seen this before. They had a preseason
- 3:39Speaker 5: game against the Jacksonville Jaguars years ago when they were
- 3:42Speaker 5: trying to make their decision between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill.
- 3:45Speaker 5: If you remember that a couple of years ago, and
- 3:48Speaker 5: it was a big performance by Jameis Winston that ended
- 3:51Speaker 5: up stealing that conversation. And so if either one of
- 3:53Speaker 5: these guys comes in and has a considerably more impressive
- 3:57Speaker 5: performance or a considerably more consistent and impactful performance up
- 4:02Speaker 5: against Jacksonville, that could be the proverbial nail in the coffin,
- 4:06Speaker 5: as it were. But I think you would have to
- 4:09Speaker 5: do something that's going to convince this team to hand
- 4:12Speaker 5: it over at that point. Otherwise I could see this
- 4:14Speaker 5: going into game week. I could see this going into
- 4:18Speaker 5: you know, at least this week. The tricky part is,
- 4:20Speaker 5: and you guys know this well, that after the second
- 4:23Speaker 5: preseason game, with the preseason now being condensed, this is
- 4:26Speaker 5: kind of after this game you start to really start
- 4:29Speaker 5: to move into some Week one preparation to kind of
- 4:31Speaker 5: know what your roster is going to be after this game.
- 4:34Speaker 5: With some exceptions, those guys to you know that are
- 4:37Speaker 5: still battling for spots and buying for opportunities they're going
- 4:41Speaker 5: to play in that third preseason game, which you're probably
- 4:43Speaker 5: not going to play a ton of guys that you're
- 4:45Speaker 5: sure about in that third preseason game, and so you
- 4:48Speaker 5: can start to transition your you know, first team focus
- 4:52Speaker 5: and your early team focus over to game planning and
- 4:55Speaker 5: having a quarterback ready for that could be really valuable.
- 4:59Speaker 5: So if I would say that if one of those guys
- 5:01Speaker 5: comes out and has some kind of emphatic enough performance
- 5:03Speaker 5: and there's a separation in the game against Jacksonville, at
- 5:06Speaker 5: the Saints could feel pretty comfortable at least starting to
- 5:08Speaker 5: change their focus before making the announcement about who that
- 5:12Speaker 5: starting quarterback might be.
- 5:13Speaker 6: Do y'all have any indication or heard from any of
- 5:17Speaker 6: the coaches on what the how they're going to do
- 5:20Speaker 6: the rotation for the Jacksonville game, Because like, there's a
- 5:23Speaker 6: big difference between playing in the first half of a
- 5:26Speaker 6: preseason game versus the second half. It's you can't judge
- 5:29Speaker 6: those apples the apples. So y'all have any indication how
- 5:32Speaker 6: that's going to be. I mean, it would be better
- 5:35Speaker 6: to have like a true like series by series if
- 5:37Speaker 6: you're trying to really compare apples apples as closely as possible.
- 5:41Speaker 6: But like you know, like you've seen it, deep balls
- 5:43Speaker 6: present themselves in practice, a guy makes a good move,
- 5:46Speaker 6: it might not present himself for the other guy. And
- 5:48Speaker 6: so that day, like that guy that hit the deep
- 5:50Speaker 6: ball because a guy got open looks better than the
- 5:52Speaker 6: other guy because the guy didn't have a guy like
- 5:55Speaker 6: streak out. Like so like things are scut That's why
- 5:58Speaker 6: it's so hard to like make a final call with
- 6:00Speaker 6: two unknowns and to make such a big decision on
- 6:03Speaker 6: the more, it's important because you have to figure out
- 6:05Speaker 6: the best way to compare apples to apples as close
- 6:08Speaker 6: as possible. And every day in practice or every every
- 6:12Speaker 6: game situation is not created equals. So what's the indication
- 6:15Speaker 6: right now and how they're going to do it.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Yeah, they haven't made any kind of indication to a
- 6:19Speaker 5: strict yet. I think that the typical rhythm would be
- 6:23Speaker 5: to let Tyler shuck get sort of that first crack
- 6:26Speaker 5: at the first team. You had Spencer Ratley do that
- 6:29Speaker 5: in the first game.
- 6:30Speaker 4: You could give.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Tyler Shuck that opportunity here in the second game. But
- 6:33Speaker 5: as in terms of how that rotation actually looks, right,
- 6:36Speaker 5: is that one quarter? Is that you know, like you
- 6:39Speaker 5: said drive by drive, which I think would be wise,
- 6:41Speaker 5: is that you know, five drives here, five drives there,
- 6:44Speaker 5: like we kind of saw durating that preseason game. They're
- 6:47Speaker 5: in the first preseason game. We haven't really got an
- 6:49Speaker 5: indication of that just yet. But and to your point,
- 6:53Speaker 5: I completely agree with sort of the preseason evaluation, if
- 6:56Speaker 5: you will, because the other thing is you're going out
- 6:59Speaker 5: there and yeah, you're taken, you're a starter in the preseason,
- 7:02Speaker 5: and you're taking quote unquote first team reps. So you're
- 7:04Speaker 5: taking quote unquote first team reps with maybe your first
- 7:06Speaker 5: team offensive line, but not with your first team skilled
- 7:09Speaker 5: players for instance, And so do you really have your
- 7:12Speaker 5: starting lineup right? And so I think that's one of
- 7:14Speaker 5: the reasons why yesterday's joint practice was so important for
- 7:18Speaker 5: the Saints and in evaluating that quarterback competition, because that
- 7:23Speaker 5: was really the only time that we've seen over and
- 7:25Speaker 5: over and over again Tyler Shuck and Spencer out there
- 7:29Speaker 5: both kind of go drive for drive with the actual
- 7:33Speaker 5: first team players that they, you know, are going to
- 7:36Speaker 5: line up next to in Week one in twenty twenty five, right,
- 7:39Speaker 5: and so so, yeah, I think that's that's one of
- 7:42Speaker 5: the reasons why David New Orleans really wanted that kind
- 7:46Speaker 5: of late scheduled joint practice and tried to pull that
- 7:48Speaker 5: off and bid pulled that off as they did, because
- 7:50Speaker 5: it kind of gives them that additional evaluation.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah, Ross.
- 7:53Speaker 2: One of the things that was surprising in the opening
- 7:55Speaker 2: preseason game was the struggles of the interior offensive line,
- 7:59Speaker 2: certainly Caeson one. He's a player that is going to
- 8:02Speaker 2: you know, obviously be counted.
- 8:03Speaker 7: All.
- 8:04Speaker 2: How have the practices gone against the Rams, because the
- 8:07Speaker 2: Rams have one of the better young defensive front and
- 8:10Speaker 2: all of that, you know the National Football League.
- 8:12Speaker 5: Yeah, not great, not great. The Rams defensive line kind
- 8:20Speaker 5: of took them the task. I'm not gonna lie to Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 5: it was. And look, there's a couple of things, a
- 8:25Speaker 5: couple of pieces of kind of context around that. You
- 8:28Speaker 5: don't you know, you don't game plan for joint practices, right,
- 8:31Speaker 5: you don't watch tape for joint practices. You don't do
- 8:34Speaker 5: those kinds of things, especially in a situation like this
- 8:36Speaker 5: where they were kind of thrown together in a rush,
- 8:39Speaker 5: and they were kind of, you know, impressively thrown together
- 8:42Speaker 5: in a rush. By the way, Like there's the logistics
- 8:43Speaker 5: of getting that together in less than a week is
- 8:46Speaker 5: pretty astronomical. And so but you know, as a team,
- 8:50Speaker 5: you're not watching game tape to get ready for, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 5: and you're not planning game planning for uh, these joint practices.
- 8:57Speaker 5: You're running scripted players, you're doing all these things. And
- 9:00Speaker 5: so I give a little bit of that context just
- 9:02Speaker 5: to say that, like a lot of the stuff that
- 9:04Speaker 5: the scene struggled with were stunts, twist things like that
- 9:07Speaker 5: that you would identify on tape and learn how to
- 9:09Speaker 5: counter and have a plan for. You just kind of
- 9:12Speaker 5: walk into a joint practice with no plan for. So
- 9:14Speaker 5: you just kind of have to respond to what it
- 9:15Speaker 5: is that you see, Like you have a general idea
- 9:17Speaker 5: of what these guys like to do, Like you know,
- 9:19Speaker 5: Kris shul is evolving that defense going into another year
- 9:22Speaker 5: as a defensive coordinator there after Raheem Morris left and everything,
- 9:25Speaker 5: and so there are things that they're going to be
- 9:27Speaker 5: doing differently. And so you know what, I say that
- 9:29Speaker 5: there was something you should look at from an optimistic
- 9:31Speaker 5: standpoint when it comes to that offensive line going up
- 9:34Speaker 5: against the Rams really talented defensive line. No, not necessarily,
- 9:37Speaker 5: but if there's a silver line coming out of it.
- 9:39Speaker 5: It was like, hey, that's what it looks like without
- 9:40Speaker 5: game planning week nine when they go up against the Rams.
- 9:42Speaker 5: So I have a chance to game plan a little bit,
- 9:44Speaker 5: go over some game film, and then see how they
- 9:46Speaker 5: can improve there. And so I would look for the
- 9:48Speaker 5: offensive line to perform better week one than we saw
- 9:51Speaker 5: them perform in the joint practices. But yeah, no, they
- 9:55Speaker 5: got taken a task quite a bit during.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Those joint practice and tell us like the one position
- 9:59Speaker 6: group or unit that during this joint practice where you
- 10:03Speaker 6: sat there and watched and consistently you could say, all right,
- 10:08Speaker 6: not bad, Alex's pretty good, like pretty excited about that
- 10:11Speaker 6: was what was that moment?
- 10:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean that's the edge rushers for me. The
- 10:15Speaker 5: Saints edge rushers. Chase Young had a phenomenal day. The
- 10:18Speaker 5: dude had like multiple pressures, two sacks that I would
- 10:22Speaker 5: have felt pretty comfortable calling sacks. I mean, you know,
- 10:24Speaker 5: it's Jimmy Garoppolo. You're not really escaping much right in
- 10:27Speaker 5: those situations, and so you know you're getting back there.
- 10:30Speaker 5: He's getting into the well, you know, I mean that
- 10:32Speaker 5: just mean he's not he's not the most mobile guy,
- 10:35Speaker 5: you know what I mean, And so you know you're
- 10:37Speaker 5: getting back there. He's getting these pressures and everything like that.
- 10:40Speaker 5: He's getting a couple of sacks I would say during
- 10:42Speaker 5: the day too. But then he also had like three
- 10:44Speaker 5: pass breakups because two of them he just got into
- 10:46Speaker 5: the backfielder was able to knock down the sort of
- 10:48Speaker 5: swing your outlet passes out to the flat to the
- 10:50Speaker 5: running backs. And he was actually in coverage against the
- 10:53Speaker 5: believe it was uh might have been Tyler Higbee was
- 10:55Speaker 5: one of the tight ends where he literally broke up
- 10:57Speaker 5: a pass in coverage and everything. Because these edge rushers
- 11:00Speaker 5: like this three four scheme, it's you're going to have
- 11:03Speaker 5: to drop every now and then. And so you know,
- 11:05Speaker 5: he did that and ended up getting a play. So
- 11:07Speaker 5: I thought he had just a fantastic day, one of
- 11:10Speaker 5: the better days that I've seen from Chase Young. And look,
- 11:12Speaker 5: you're hoping that this team, if you're this team, you're
- 11:15Speaker 5: hoping that you're they're going to be able to unlock
- 11:18Speaker 5: this guy's potential in a way that other teams haven't
- 11:20Speaker 5: been able to before. And Brandon Staley just seems like
- 11:23Speaker 5: maybe the right guy to get that done. So we'll
- 11:24Speaker 5: see what that looks like in the regular season. I
- 11:26Speaker 5: thought that Chase Carl Granderson had a strong day from
- 11:29Speaker 5: that position group for Dil Diggs had a pressure, a
- 11:31Speaker 5: potential sack.
- 11:32Speaker 6: We saw.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Chris Rump for the potential sack as well, and so
- 11:36Speaker 5: it just feels like that edge rusher position has gone
- 11:38Speaker 5: from you know, three marquee name guys in Chase Young,
- 11:42Speaker 5: Carl Grander, standing Cam Jordan maybe having up to six,
- 11:46Speaker 5: you know, five or six players that can be contributors,
- 11:50Speaker 5: you know, And I think that's a good place.
- 11:51Speaker 4: To be at that position group.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Ross One of the things we talked about last week,
- 11:55Speaker 2: it was so difficult to evaluate the running backs because
- 11:58Speaker 2: of how poor I thought the offensive line played, and
- 12:01Speaker 2: like even like a play, you know, that was a
- 12:03Speaker 2: two yard run. It's like, man, I could see some
- 12:04Speaker 2: bursts from the running backs and Kendre Miller's like, I
- 12:07Speaker 2: get it. I get why he's getting third and fourth
- 12:08Speaker 2: chances because you see that burst that he has. But
- 12:11Speaker 2: it's so tough to evaluate them because it's like where
- 12:14Speaker 2: do you tell them to go? Like I was watching
- 12:16Speaker 2: the end zone copy of the game and and me
- 12:18Speaker 2: and Matt kind of had the same thought process. It's like,
- 12:21Speaker 2: I don't know where to tell him to go on
- 12:23Speaker 2: this run. That's why it's a two yard run because
- 12:26Speaker 2: they just never were able to really get going. Like
- 12:29Speaker 2: that was a surprise to me, just because this offensive
- 12:32Speaker 2: line that you've had, you know, so many big investments
- 12:35Speaker 2: in like if it's past protection, Okay, maybe not ash shocking,
- 12:39Speaker 2: but in the run game, Like, it was very tough
- 12:41Speaker 2: to evaluate these running backs. And I think that's one
- 12:43Speaker 2: of the most you know, more intriguing position battles I
- 12:46Speaker 2: think in camp.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I can really agree, and I think I think
- 12:49Speaker 5: you're right. Like so to match an analytic with your tape,
- 12:53Speaker 5: the things offensive line allowed just zero point five to five,
- 12:56Speaker 5: so half a yard before contact on each of those
- 12:59Speaker 5: rushing attempts in yesterday's game or yesterday's game, listen to
- 13:03Speaker 5: me Sunday's game and so. And the reason why that
- 13:07Speaker 5: metric is important is because that's effectively for those that
- 13:09Speaker 5: aren't familiar with it, an offensive line metric that shows
- 13:13Speaker 5: you know, how much room are you giving your running
- 13:15Speaker 5: back before he's touched by a defender, and so you
- 13:17Speaker 5: typically want to be around one and a half to
- 13:19Speaker 5: two and a half yards Somewhere in that range is
- 13:22Speaker 5: a range from successful to very successful and you kind
- 13:25Speaker 5: of want to be in that range when it comes
- 13:26Speaker 5: to that. And the Stints were about a third to
- 13:29Speaker 5: a fifth of that in terms of their per carry
- 13:32Speaker 5: production during this game. Now, I think that that is
- 13:36Speaker 5: a big piece of context that matches what you guys
- 13:39Speaker 5: are talking about in terms of, like, I don't know
- 13:40Speaker 5: where to tell Kendre Miller to go with this football.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And he had twenty yards after contact. However he only
- 13:45Speaker 5: had fourteen rushing yards, which shows you how often he
- 13:49Speaker 5: was being contacted behind a lot of spillage, right, And
- 13:51Speaker 5: so I think that like, those are the little things
- 13:54Speaker 5: that you really need to see and want to see
- 13:57Speaker 5: accelerate in terms of the conversation. And to be clear too,
- 14:00Speaker 5: you know we're talking about the Kindre Miller rushes which
- 14:03Speaker 5: happened a lot behind starting offensive line. Guys, These aren't
- 14:06Speaker 5: you know, runs behind the third team offensive line. Or
- 14:09Speaker 5: anything like that, like this was this was behind the
- 14:11Speaker 5: starting offensive line or you know sins Eric McCoy of course,
- 14:16Speaker 5: who didn't play in the game, but you know, starting
- 14:18Speaker 5: offensive line, and then you know minus two or three
- 14:21Speaker 5: guys you know at certain times, and so you know,
- 14:24Speaker 5: you want to see when you get that full compliment
- 14:27Speaker 5: of starting offensive lineman on the fields. Even though Trevor
- 14:29Speaker 5: Penning is probably not going to be one of those
- 14:31Speaker 5: guys early on, it might be Dylan Raident's that left guard.
- 14:34Speaker 5: We'll see where things got with his injury. But that's
- 14:37Speaker 5: a place where you need to see this team improved
- 14:39Speaker 5: and where they struggled in each of the last few years.
- 14:42Speaker 5: And look, Kellen Moore's got a great run scheme, but
- 14:44Speaker 5: part of having a great run scheme is being able to,
- 14:47Speaker 5: you know, execute on the offensive line to create what
- 14:50Speaker 5: you need to create for those running backs, not force
- 14:52Speaker 5: the running backs to create on their own. And so
- 14:54Speaker 5: that's going to be a really really important sort of
- 14:56Speaker 5: piece of progress to track over the course of the preseason.
- 14:59Speaker 5: And I would say early on, like the first month
- 15:01Speaker 5: as offensive line play around the NFL settles in with
- 15:04Speaker 5: the regular season.
- 15:06Speaker 6: Ross before they headed out to California. We had kind
- 15:09Speaker 6: of heard the rumblings and people saying that Rashid Shaheed
- 15:12Speaker 6: might have been the MVP of camp up to that point.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Did that carry over to California and through the joint practice.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Yeah, especially the joint practice. I mean, there weren't a
- 15:21Speaker 5: lot of big plays he had for those young quarterbacks
- 15:23Speaker 5: who are under a lot of pressure with those first
- 15:25Speaker 5: team reps against the Rams. But one of those big
- 15:29Speaker 5: plays was this deep bomb down the left sideline from
- 15:32Speaker 5: Spencer Rattler to Rashid Jaheed. And you know, look, Rashid
- 15:36Speaker 5: Shaheed is one of the perennial outstanding deep threats in
- 15:42Speaker 5: the NFL, but he has shown so much in terms
- 15:45Speaker 5: of what he can do in the short intermediate areas
- 15:47Speaker 5: of the game so far here throughout camp that Kellen
- 15:50Speaker 5: Moore has kind of opened up that route tree a
- 15:52Speaker 5: little bit for him. Let him be a catch and
- 15:54Speaker 5: run threat, let him be you know, kind of that short,
- 15:56Speaker 5: you know, three level threat, which is only going to
- 15:58Speaker 5: make him better deep because he be more efficient with
- 16:00Speaker 5: their usage of that. I think that that is a
- 16:04Speaker 5: I think we've seen a lot of growth from Rashi Shaheed,
- 16:07Speaker 5: much like most of the team. The biggest question around
- 16:10Speaker 5: Shaheed is he going to be able to stay healthy
- 16:12Speaker 5: throughout the twenty twenty five season. And you're asking that
- 16:14Speaker 5: question for most teams, most players, right, especially the valuable ones,
- 16:19Speaker 5: and so no big surprise there, but his ability now
- 16:22Speaker 5: to kind of be this three level threat and be
- 16:24Speaker 5: utilized all over the field has really helped him kind
- 16:26Speaker 5: of step into that next level. Put on some weight
- 16:29Speaker 5: this offseason as well. He's trying to play around one
- 16:30Speaker 5: hundred and ninety pounds this year, so he's trying to
- 16:32Speaker 5: play up about you know, three four or five pounds
- 16:36Speaker 5: from last season to kind of help keep himself on
- 16:38Speaker 5: the field, help keep himself healthy, help you know, keep
- 16:41Speaker 5: him able to take hits, things like that. And he's
- 16:44Speaker 5: been awesome here throughout training. Game that definitely contigued.
- 16:46Speaker 7: Here in California.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Are there, He's I got Ross Jackson louisianasports dot Net,
- 16:52Speaker 2: always putting out incredible articles. Check him out on the
- 16:55Speaker 2: website of course, host of Lockdown Saints podcast as well.

- 17:03Speaker 2: very soon.
- 17:04Speaker 5: I can't wait. Man, I can't wait to step into
- 17:06Speaker 5: that humidity hug as I like to call it walking
- 17:08Speaker 5: out of the airport.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Can't wait.
- 17:09Speaker 5: I'll see you guys, can appreciate you have me on
- 17:12Speaker 5: all right again.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Ross Jackson does a great job for us over in
- 17:15Speaker 2: louisianasports dot Net.
- 17:17Speaker 4: We we got to talk about the offensively we have to.
- 17:23Speaker 6: I think he said everything we needn't know.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And that look, the Rams have a fantastic defensive line.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I mean it could be up as maybe the best
- 17:34Speaker 2: in its totality in the NFL.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Surely it could be. I got a lot of Jimmy's
- 17:38Speaker 4: and Joe's. But I was hoping. I was hoping that
- 17:41Speaker 4: Ross had been like you know it was gonna be.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Usually it's like iron sharping's iron. But this might have
- 17:47Speaker 6: been like iron sharpens butter, aluminum plastic.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I don't know, just iron through butter.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I iron, I don't even have to be hot old
- 17:58Speaker 2: any iron through the Saints butter.
- 18:00Speaker 7: Yeah, we're in a group chat. He just texted the
- 18:02Speaker 7: group chat yesterday and was like, offense was awful. I said, wait, really, I'm.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Beginning to think. I'm beginning to think as all the
- 18:14Speaker 6: things that Tyler Shuck did in the off season, eating
- 18:17Speaker 6: the oysters, like really doing all the things to get
- 18:20Speaker 6: into our our hearts here in Louisiana. I'm kind of
- 18:24Speaker 6: thinking he's not a hot weather guy.
- 18:27Speaker 3: You think that.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Practice practice is hard in the heat, or quarterback because
- 18:33Speaker 6: the balls. It's just it's just a different situation, especially
- 18:37Speaker 6: never been in it. Go out there to that good weather,
- 18:39Speaker 6: all of a sudden, you're spending it. I don't know, guys,
- 18:42Speaker 6: is he one of us? Can he handle the heat? Well?
- 18:44Speaker 8: So the good news is he didn't have to, Like,
- 18:46Speaker 8: he didn't have to a ton like he'll go to Tampa.
- 18:50Speaker 9: That's a division game, I know, Carolina. Atlanta's a dome.
- 18:54Speaker 9: You're a dome.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you play nine or ten, depending on the schedule
- 18:57Speaker 2: games inside of a dome.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Did you need all the oysters you want? If you
- 19:01Speaker 6: can't handle the.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Heat, get out the kitchen.
- 19:05Speaker 4: That's what they say.
- 19:06Speaker 6: They're getting the dome.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Yeah, h you heard of your first.
- 19:10Speaker 6: Tyler Shuck not a hot weather guy. All right, it's
- 19:13Speaker 6: the heat.

- 22:12Speaker 2: watching this on YouTube, you see my guy Chris there.
- 22:16Speaker 2: My man Chris is put together a custom card for
- 22:20Speaker 2: us and the handle on Instagram. I want to make
- 22:23Speaker 2: sure Chris I get this right at four C Underscore
- 22:26Speaker 2: Custom Cards. That is you got to speak right into
- 22:29Speaker 2: that microphone as well, so you can kind of bring
- 22:30Speaker 2: it up there micro that's okay, Hey, there we go.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So we've got Chris in studio with us. He does
- 22:43Speaker 2: custom cards and my oh my, he is put together
- 22:47Speaker 2: one of Flynn head Team O TB.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Which cameraman camera, Chris, appreciate you coming in studio. How
- 22:56Speaker 4: are we doing?
- 22:56Speaker 6: Problem check this way out? Like, look at this, So
- 22:59Speaker 6: this is a jet that's one of one there, one
- 23:02Speaker 6: of one a custom cards we made this?
- 23:04Speaker 2: Yes, all right, So if you if you don't know
- 23:07Speaker 2: Chris's work, you should again at four C Underscore Custom
- 23:10Speaker 2: Cards on Instagram. He can, you know, take any card
- 23:16Speaker 2: and make it into a custom one of one. That's
- 23:19Speaker 2: what he's done for us. Here, incredible card. It's okay,
- 23:23Speaker 2: we can get it. We can get a zoom, sit
- 23:25Speaker 2: you out, Nope, there we go. You can get the
- 23:30Speaker 2: idea right there. So I reached out to Chris, and
- 23:34Speaker 2: I've seen Chris at card shows and different shows before.
- 23:37Speaker 4: He's the one that did.
- 23:38Speaker 2: The custom one on one of me that we did
- 23:41Speaker 2: in the Jersey raffle there, so he did another one
- 23:43Speaker 2: for us because like, we gotta have a Flynn Hester
- 23:46Speaker 2: card that we can put here on the desk every
- 23:49Speaker 2: single day. So we're fired up about it. So, Chris,
- 23:53Speaker 2: how long does this take you to do a custom card?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Because again, check out his work on Instagram. He does
- 23:59Speaker 2: a lot of your favorite former l s U athletes
- 24:02Speaker 2: and Joe Burrow and Paul Schemes and he puts together
- 24:04Speaker 2: these incredible one of one cards.
- 24:07Speaker 4: But how long does something like this take?
- 24:10Speaker 10: Counting the planning and finding what I need? It takes.
- 24:14Speaker 10: It takes a while. At the shows, I don't really
- 24:17Speaker 10: charge a lot. It was a hobby. Yeah, people started
- 24:21Speaker 10: getting wind of it and seeing the stuff, and people
- 24:23Speaker 10: started wanting it, and I wanted it to stay affordable, right,
- 24:27Speaker 10: But I just take real cards and I cut them
- 24:31Speaker 10: and and make different cards out of them.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Now, how did you how did you start this process?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Was it something like maybe you saw someone else do it,
- 24:38Speaker 2: or maybe it's just like, hey, I want to create
- 24:40Speaker 2: my own cards. I wanted to look a certain way.
- 24:43Speaker 10: I actually ordered. I'm a big Cameron Jordan fan. Okay, Well,
- 24:49Speaker 10: and I ordered one from a guy on on Reddit.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and when it came in, it.
- 24:57Speaker 10: Was it was horrible.
- 25:00Speaker 6: I was just like a custom card that someone made.
- 25:02Speaker 10: Okay, he did the pretty much the same thing. He
- 25:05Speaker 10: took real cards. He put it behind a different background stuff.
- 25:08Speaker 10: But it was like hot glue together and spacers were
- 25:12Speaker 10: all messed up and cams crooked on the car. And
- 25:18Speaker 10: I said, I'm gonna tear it apart. I took pictures
- 25:21Speaker 10: of it and I said, I'm gonna see if iucking
- 25:22Speaker 10: and make it myself, right. And when I did, I
- 25:25Speaker 10: just I don't know, it just like unlock something. I
- 25:28Speaker 10: just thought it was was awesome, like so fun. And
- 25:31Speaker 10: I still have it.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:32Speaker 10: Still it's still sitting on my desk. It's not as
- 25:35Speaker 10: good as the stuff I do. Now.
- 25:36Speaker 2: It's the first one, first one, and you were having
- 25:39Speaker 2: to put together somebody else's you know, work and try
- 25:42Speaker 2: to make it something.
- 25:43Speaker 6: So yeah, so I'm looking at it. So people who
- 25:46Speaker 6: collect cards are in the hobby giving like they understand
- 25:48Speaker 6: like what a patch card is, so like this is
- 25:50Speaker 6: in the form of like a patch card. So how
- 25:52Speaker 6: does this whole like how does a card come together
- 25:55Speaker 6: where you have the patch in the background, the base
- 25:59Speaker 6: behind it, the print and everything. You said you cut
- 26:02Speaker 6: some cards up and kind of like make it your own,
- 26:04Speaker 6: but the layers of this, like how does this whole
- 26:06Speaker 6: thing come together?
- 26:07Speaker 10: Okay? Now, this particular card was both of y'all's upper
- 26:12Speaker 10: deck two thousand and eight rookie cards. Yeah, the l
- 26:16Speaker 10: s U at the top and bottom, those were taking
- 26:18Speaker 10: off the back of two different cards. The Teammates was
- 26:22Speaker 10: taking off of two thousand and seven Press Pass JaMarcus
- 26:27Speaker 10: Russell Dwayne Bouchard.
- 26:29Speaker 6: Okay, all right, the border.
- 26:31Speaker 10: Came off of two thousand and one score Jamar Chase,
- 26:36Speaker 10: the two purple stripes next for the Teammates that actually
- 26:40Speaker 10: came off of twenty twenty one and Terrace Marshall rookie card.
- 26:45Speaker 6: And then I just what about the what about the
- 26:47Speaker 6: tiger face patch in the background here from Thailand? They
- 26:52Speaker 6: just they just.
- 26:54Speaker 4: The tigers, iron I didn't even know that.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I didn't even know like so many different cards to
- 27:00Speaker 2: put together one card, Like you got to kind of
- 27:03Speaker 2: reach out, like find some Melow Shoe cards and maybe
- 27:05Speaker 2: have what you're looking for. But you know, I know, you,
- 27:08Speaker 2: you know, you get requests all the time, and you're
- 27:10Speaker 2: doing these like what is maybe the one that you
- 27:14Speaker 2: got that was maybe the hardest to find exactly what
- 27:17Speaker 2: you were looking for as you were putting it together.
- 27:20Speaker 10: I'm actually working on it right now. A guy h
- 27:24Speaker 10: sent me a he sent me a Saints patch off
- 27:29Speaker 10: of a hat.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Yeah, and he.
- 27:31Speaker 10: Wants it to be a single card horizontal that has Deuce,
- 27:36Speaker 10: Colston and Bush on it. And the problem I'm having
- 27:40Speaker 10: is finding the same size of each player match to
- 27:46Speaker 10: go on the card together. And for whatever reason, the
- 27:49Speaker 10: Colston is giving me a lot of trouble a lot.
- 27:52Speaker 2: So you just like when somebody gives you something like that,
- 27:54Speaker 2: You're like, hey, I'm I'm I'm working on it, but
- 27:57Speaker 2: I've got a research I gotta wait till this almost
- 27:59Speaker 2: kind of falls my laugh a little.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Bits.
- 28:02Speaker 10: He's ordered several from Okay, all right, so he's like, okay,
- 28:06Speaker 10: no problem.
- 28:06Speaker 6: Yeah, So what is it kind of your spouse? Is
- 28:09Speaker 6: it all professional collegiate athletes that kind of have current
- 28:12Speaker 6: cards or could someone reach out to you, like they
- 28:14Speaker 6: have a senior in high school or something like that
- 28:17Speaker 6: that's like, I want to make a card for my
- 28:19Speaker 6: my son. It's his last year played football, blah blah blah,
- 28:22Speaker 6: and they can have you ever done that?
- 28:24Speaker 10: Yes, sir, I've done. There's a there's a kid that
- 28:29Speaker 10: goes to Brayville High. Yeah, diet his first two years
- 28:33Speaker 10: at Dutchtown and his dad is.
- 28:37Speaker 4: It's gotten me to make each year.
- 28:39Speaker 10: Yeah, just so I just got the stuff the other
- 28:42Speaker 10: day to do his senior Yeah, that's very cool, and
- 28:44Speaker 10: I've done. I've done a couple of other people.
- 28:48Speaker 6: That's really cool.
- 28:49Speaker 10: That's played for l s U. But never you know,
- 28:51Speaker 10: Jake the Viking. Oh yeah, yeah, I did some for
- 28:54Speaker 10: him and his family. Right, But yeah, I've done. I
- 28:58Speaker 10: just did the Queen of Pink. She was some beauty queen,
- 29:02Speaker 10: all right, one for her. Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 6: So we can make we can make cards for anybody.
- 29:06Speaker 6: That's what we're saying.
- 29:07Speaker 10: Yeah, it's just when it comes to some people, you know,
- 29:10Speaker 10: like when Harbaugh first one, you know, the Michigan's national champion,
- 29:16Speaker 10: a lot of people reached out and wanted one of him,
- 29:18Speaker 10: but he didn't have any cards of him in the
- 29:20Speaker 10: Michigan uniform as a coach on the side of right,
- 29:23Speaker 10: and they just said, oh, you just go online and
- 29:25Speaker 10: print it. Now, I don't want to do that because
- 29:27Speaker 10: that's like copyright. Yeah, so I said, no, it has
- 29:30Speaker 10: once he comes out with a card that I can do.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Right, got it, Chris.
- 29:34Speaker 2: We appreciate it, man, I'm fired up for that again
- 29:38Speaker 2: at four C Underscore Custom Cards is the handle on Instagram.

- 32:28Speaker 6: high school diad and my body was in flux. What's grown?
- 32:35Speaker 6: M I'm ready to make a bold prediction.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Lron Landry's on the All Bicep team, but
- 32:40Speaker 2: his biceps got bigger in the NFL.
- 32:42Speaker 6: I think it's All Trapped team.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Yeah, he's Traps. Yeah, he's on the All Trapped team,
- 32:46Speaker 4: Traps and Delts. Yeah. I mean, I'm telling you right.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Richard Murphy BT big guns.
- 32:56Speaker 7: What's your bold prediction?
- 33:00Speaker 6: All right? So I wanted to do something before the
- 33:03Speaker 6: season starts where we all make extremely hot takes, like
- 33:07Speaker 6: bold predictions, and we can rake. I'm like, this is
- 33:09Speaker 6: like very unlikely to happen, but I'm gonna say it's
- 33:11Speaker 6: gonna happen. And what's gonna be a little competition. So
- 33:14Speaker 6: we got to make predictions throughout the season for the
- 33:17Speaker 6: end of the season, whatever it is.
- 33:19Speaker 7: I've got a doc that I'm starting to accumulate them.
- 33:22Speaker 6: Our first take, I'm gonna make it very bold. I
- 33:27Speaker 6: was gonna kind of like try to buffer it a
- 33:29Speaker 6: little bit by saying he'd be top two or three
- 33:31Speaker 6: in the voting, but that went against the spirit of
- 33:35Speaker 6: what we're trying to do. Yeah, I think Jordan Love
- 33:38Speaker 6: is gonna win the NFL MVP this year.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Ah, we're going, like I thought you was just going
- 33:42Speaker 4: to sugulate LSU.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Any any NFL or college football take.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Okay, so this is just for us enough for the
- 33:50Speaker 4: station survey.
- 33:51Speaker 6: This is not for the station survey. Oh no, no,
- 33:53Speaker 6: this is just just because I tease Jordan Love earlier.
- 33:56Speaker 6: I saw something come across Twitter yesterday that kind of
- 33:59Speaker 6: like got me thinking about his time as a starter
- 34:02Speaker 6: for the Packers and kind of what he's done up
- 34:05Speaker 6: to date. I know he hadn't gotten it done all
- 34:07Speaker 6: the time. He's had this like stretch his first year
- 34:10Speaker 6: starting towards the end where he was like there was
- 34:12Speaker 6: no quarterback playing better football than him. But I saw
- 34:15Speaker 6: this stat come across that he has the most completions
- 34:20Speaker 6: on twenty plus yard throws over the past two years.
- 34:25Speaker 6: He's got fifty nine of the past two years. So
- 34:29Speaker 6: a guy that's playing his first two years as a
- 34:31Speaker 6: starter in a wide receiver room with no like true
- 34:35Speaker 6: number one, he has been the most productive explosive passer
- 34:40Speaker 6: in the league, despite the fact that he's missed two
- 34:42Speaker 6: games starting and he missed like a couple of halves
- 34:44Speaker 6: here and there for injury as well. And with a
- 34:47Speaker 6: wide receiver corps that's really like the youngest wide receiver
- 34:50Speaker 6: corps in the NFL. Very talented albeit, but they also
- 34:55Speaker 6: were third in the league last year and dropped pastes.
- 34:58Speaker 6: They had thirty three drop passes. I believe the only
- 35:02Speaker 6: people that had more was the Browns and the Jets.
- 35:05Speaker 6: So now they add Matthew Golden, who all, like all
- 35:10Speaker 6: reports coming out of camp is he has been an
- 35:12Speaker 6: absolute stud. So you add this guy to that mix.
- 35:17Speaker 6: Jordan Love in the NC He's going to have all
- 35:19Speaker 6: these big, highlighted games, that's going to be primetime. He's
- 35:21Speaker 6: going to have two matchups versus the Vikings, two matchups
- 35:24Speaker 6: verst the Lions, and of course two matches versus former
- 35:27Speaker 6: number one pick with the Bears. Like all of those
- 35:29Speaker 6: games are going to be not maybe not games of
- 35:33Speaker 6: the week, but they're going to be highly watched because
- 35:36Speaker 6: all the implications that's going to have for one of
- 35:38Speaker 6: the best conferences or divisions excuse me, the divisions in
- 35:41Speaker 6: the NFL with that NFC North. So he's going to
- 35:44Speaker 6: have the opportunities, and you know, I think this is
- 35:48Speaker 6: the year where the Packers take the NFC North. I
- 35:50Speaker 6: think they are going to be I think they're going
- 35:52Speaker 6: to win those close, tight games. And I'm just looking
- 35:56Speaker 6: at his wide receiver corps. He's got Jayden Reed hundred
- 36:00Speaker 6: and fifty seven yards receiving last year's six touchdowns, Christian
- 36:03Speaker 6: Watson towards ACL but he had six hundred and twenty
- 36:05Speaker 6: yards before that, Romeo Dobbs six hundred and one yards,
- 36:09Speaker 6: Dontavian Wicks, who was their fourth guy, a four hundred
- 36:12Speaker 6: and fifteen yards, and they're tight end. Last year, Tucker
- 36:14Speaker 6: Craft was their second leading so they got a real
- 36:16Speaker 6: pass catching dude at tight end seven hundred and seven yards.
- 36:22Speaker 6: So with that being said, you throw Matthew Golden into
- 36:24Speaker 6: this mix, they are going to be a force. And
- 36:27Speaker 6: I've seen stretches where Jordan Love has played as good
- 36:30Speaker 6: as any quarterback had played in the entire NFL. So
- 36:33Speaker 6: there is my prediction. That is the first I'm kicking off.
- 36:36Speaker 6: Our bold predictions are bold hot takes. Jordan Love twenty
- 36:40Speaker 6: twenty five NFL MVP.
- 36:44Speaker 2: All right, I know, God, I know Taylor's got one
- 36:47Speaker 2: ready to go in the chamber.
- 36:49Speaker 6: We don't have to like go round the room. Y'all
- 36:51Speaker 6: can think about that. But I've been thinking about lady,
- 36:54Speaker 6: I've been thinking about all this.
- 36:55Speaker 4: I have one, but I know, I mean, it's Taylor,
- 36:58Speaker 4: He's got straight.
- 36:58Speaker 6: How bold do you want to go? I want to
- 37:00Speaker 6: go as bold as you want to go. Like my
- 37:02Speaker 6: ideal situation is we'd each come up with like five
- 37:05Speaker 6: or six and like extremely bold, pretty bold, and just
- 37:11Speaker 6: like kind of like on the edge, like I want
- 37:13Speaker 6: to see. I think we should have tiers of boldness here.
- 37:18Speaker 6: All right, I got a really bold one for you.
- 37:23Speaker 6: The Kansas City Chiefs will not win the.
- 37:25Speaker 9: AFC West.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Broncos, Chargers or Raiders.
- 37:33Speaker 9: Bold of the bold.
- 37:37Speaker 6: M thinking about this, okay, I don't hate it, don't
- 37:41Speaker 6: hate it. Who do you think is going to win?
- 37:46Speaker 8: I'm high on the Broncos and the Chargers. I just
- 37:49Speaker 8: think the division kind of beats each other up a
- 37:50Speaker 8: little bit, and the Chiefs play a lot of really
- 37:53Speaker 8: tough games on the road too. Like out of division,
- 37:56Speaker 8: I'll go to the Denver Broncos. I think the Denver
- 37:58Speaker 8: Broncos win that division. I think they're going to have
- 38:01Speaker 8: the best defense in the NFL.
- 38:03Speaker 6: Play well.
- 38:03Speaker 8: I think three teams in that division make the playoffs.
- 38:06Speaker 8: I think I think I think the Chiefs, the Chargers,
- 38:08Speaker 8: and the Broncos all make it. But I think the
- 38:10Speaker 8: Broncos win that division.
- 38:11Speaker 6: It's not like it's not terrible because the Chiefs aren't always,
- 38:15Speaker 6: like especially last year, not very sexy during the regular
- 38:18Speaker 6: season or the playoffs. I mean they Patrick Mahomes did
- 38:22Speaker 6: not lead any category in passing statistics sometimes wasn't even
- 38:27Speaker 6: that darn't good. But they won the game because all
- 38:30Speaker 6: they do, all Andy Reid cares about is winning a
- 38:33Speaker 6: football game, doesn't matter how it looks. And they've all
- 38:35Speaker 6: bought into that, and they win these close games and
- 38:38Speaker 6: they do it, do it, do it. So in order
- 38:40Speaker 6: for your prediction to come right, they have to be
- 38:42Speaker 6: a lot like they were last year, but just come
- 38:45Speaker 6: fall a little bit short in those games, which they
- 38:47Speaker 6: have never proven to do that.
- 38:49Speaker 9: You just you look at again. I think the division
- 38:52Speaker 9: beats each other up.
- 38:53Speaker 8: You look at the games the Chiefs play out of
- 38:55Speaker 8: the division, the Ravens, the Eagles, the Lions, the Commanders,
- 39:00Speaker 8: the Bills. I mean they have a tough out of
- 39:02Speaker 8: division schedule. I mean there's a chance that happens.
- 39:08Speaker 4: And you heard it. He said the Chargers are going
- 39:09Speaker 4: to win the division.
- 39:10Speaker 6: I mean the Chargers very well could Alva said, imagine
- 39:14Speaker 6: thinking the NFL will let Taylor Swift not win the Visions.
- 39:17Speaker 9: This guy is going to be in the playoffs, right, Okay,
- 39:20Speaker 9: all right.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Before I give you my Bowl prediction, I want to
- 39:23Speaker 2: remind you about our friends over at Pelican Roof and

- 39:57Speaker 4: My Bowl prediction.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Alvin Kamara for the first time in his career rushes
- 40:03Speaker 2: for a thousand yards.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Oh, I look it for the first time. I like it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: He's had seven eight, eight eighty three, seven ninety seven,
- 40:12Speaker 2: nine two, eight ninety eight, eight ninety seven, six ninety
- 40:16Speaker 2: four and nine to fifty a year ago. I think
- 40:20Speaker 2: he's going to get an opportunity young quarterback. He's going
- 40:22Speaker 2: to have a lot of carries. If he stays healthy,
- 40:25Speaker 2: he is going to be the driving force behind whatever
- 40:28Speaker 2: the offense ends up being. We saw what Saquon did
- 40:31Speaker 2: last year obviously with the Eagles.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Eight, and he's got a room full of first and
- 40:37Speaker 6: second rounders blocking for that.
- 40:39Speaker 2: He does that, he does, Derek that he does so.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Alvin Kamara, first time in his career thousand yard rusher.
- 40:46Speaker 4: That's bold. Has never happened, and he's played a long time.
- 40:50Speaker 6: That is bold because never done it. Two segments ago
- 40:54Speaker 6: we talked about it. I know where like we were
- 40:56Speaker 6: trying to coach the running back on where to run
- 40:58Speaker 6: the ball.
- 40:58Speaker 8: Yep, they did not specify how many carries it would
- 41:05Speaker 8: to get to it.
- 41:06Speaker 4: I can take all of the.
- 41:09Speaker 6: Three carries.
- 41:10Speaker 7: Had nine hundred and fifty yards last season.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Close.
- 41:13Speaker 4: He's close, close, Alandra, you want to do your I.
- 41:17Speaker 7: Didn't have an NFL one ready. I didn't know which
- 41:19Speaker 7: direction anywhere in football, So my bold prediction might be.
- 41:25Speaker 7: I don't know how bold this is, but it's I
- 41:27Speaker 7: think that Harold Perkins will finish top three in Heisman voting.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Oh wow, Okay, if you didn't know how bold that
- 41:35Speaker 2: WASLD So if.
- 41:37Speaker 7: I'm doing my research correctly, the last linebacker to finish
- 41:42Speaker 7: anywhere in the top three or even many TEO back
- 41:46Speaker 7: in twenty twelve. In twenty twelve, when he was in
- 41:53Speaker 7: he finished second in Heisman voting. He had forty nine
- 41:56Speaker 7: tackles solo tackles, sixty two assisted, and one and a
- 42:00Speaker 7: half sacks. I'm looking at Harold Perkins last like full
- 42:04Speaker 7: season back in twenty twenty three. Would he play the
- 42:06Speaker 7: full season in twenty twenty three?
- 42:08Speaker 3: Anyways?
- 42:09Speaker 7: He had forty three solo tackles, thirty one assisted, and
- 42:14Speaker 7: five and a half sacks. In twenty twenty two he
- 42:16Speaker 7: had thirty nine solo, thirty three assisted, and in twenty
- 42:20Speaker 7: three at seventy four total tackles. So if he's gonna
- 42:23Speaker 7: have the breakout season that people say he is, he
- 42:26Speaker 7: has an opportunity to have the same amount, if not
- 42:31Speaker 7: better stats than Manny Tail last time at a linebacker.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Oh was in high set.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Look if that, if that happens, LSU is in a
- 42:40Speaker 2: great spot as a team. We talked about it might
- 42:43Speaker 2: be the most important non quarterback across the country.
- 42:47Speaker 6: Oh, if that happens, come on, you'd have like him
- 42:49Speaker 6: and that's top three two. If that happens, we are.
- 42:57Speaker 9: You have a first round buy in the playoffs.
- 42:58Speaker 6: We have a first round buy in the playoffs, for sure.
- 43:01Speaker 6: I love it all right, Oh what the boulder the
- 43:04Speaker 6: bad as well?
- 43:04Speaker 4: Let's take our last break of the week. Wrap it up.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Answering your question, we'll ask the bench here on OTVP
- 43:11Speaker 2: the bench, Yeah, you got perking the Heisman ceremony there
- 43:16Speaker 2: winning us.
- 43:17Speaker 4: You know what you're enjoying?
- 43:18Speaker 8: Uh?
- 43:18Speaker 6: Yeah, a bunch of dose seconds.
- 43:21Speaker 2: You are feeder kicked up, going to dose more than
- 43:24Speaker 2: do having a great time that means LSU's having a
- 43:28Speaker 2: great season. Nothing pairs better than a good old dose
- 43:31Speaker 2: secids a little tailgate action there.
- 43:33Speaker 4: So look, it is apalling us.
- 43:35Speaker 2: We are less than ten days away from the first
- 43:39Speaker 2: game of the college football season, so tailgating season is year.
- 43:43Speaker 2: There's nothing better than having the tin up, having the
- 43:45Speaker 2: TV on, opening the ice chest and seeing some ice
- 43:48Speaker 2: cold dose sections.
- 43:50Speaker 6: Yeah, opening your fridge looking in there, and just seeing
- 43:53Speaker 6: that beautiful green bottle staring at you like he just
- 43:57Speaker 6: said it. We're getting ready for farm again. We got
- 43:59Speaker 6: no dog in that fight. But it's football. It's college football.
- 44:02Speaker 6: So having dokis ready to go that delicious ice cold
- 44:06Speaker 6: Mexican lager. Getting ready for football season. Drink those skis,
- 44:10Speaker 6: drink responsibly.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Bat boys, what about to rock you your mom?
- 44:14Speaker 3: So you gotta get into five?
- 44:17Speaker 4: What's waiting for?
- 44:18Speaker 3: If you want to?
- 44:19Speaker 1: From players to legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown l s
- 44:22Speaker 1: U football like only champions can.
- 44:36Speaker 11: Hey, hey, al right, welcome back in o TV.
- 44:55Speaker 4: You can go and keep this in the background. This
- 44:57Speaker 4: might be the new Friday song.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Ask the bench, we'll their duley supporters vote for him
- 45:02Speaker 2: if they find out he mocked a high school kid
- 45:05Speaker 2: for having fat anchors.
- 45:06Speaker 6: That's true body shaming.
- 45:09Speaker 9: He is running in Is he running in Georgia, Georgia, Georgia?
- 45:12Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 45:13Speaker 9: Yeah, he's gonna get bonus points.
- 45:14Speaker 6: For what a question? What a question?
- 45:17Speaker 7: You really got to dig deep into these people's past.
- 45:19Speaker 2: You turn it up, asked the bench. Favorite nineties hip
- 45:25Speaker 2: hop artist or rapper. If you go outside of like
- 45:32Speaker 2: the New Orleans guys, Buster Rhymes, Vanilla Ice, all right,
- 45:37Speaker 2: Rob van Winkle shout out, I don't know, you gotta
- 45:40Speaker 2: give one. Come on Usher, Heyday, you gotta give one.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Oh my god, week.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Sorry boom off the bench.
- 45:56Speaker 4: The guy from Walker can't give you a hip hop artist.
- 45:59Speaker 2: You go to Electrical dot Com the old Gulf of
