- 0:09Speaker 2: I'm Mike McGrath, retired Navy captain, and if you would
- 0:13Speaker 2: please join me in a pledge of lead. I pledge
- 0:16Speaker 2: the legiance to the flag of the United States of
- 0:18Speaker 2: America and to the Republic for which to stamp one
- 0:21Speaker 2: nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Richard Randall is on Colorado seven KVR. So if you
- 0:33Speaker 1: were thinking that things are starting to calm down here,
- 0:36Speaker 1: a little bit depends on where you look.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So if you look at Minneapolis and Minnesota generally, I
- 0:42Speaker 1: think really good news coming out of there. And do
- 0:45Speaker 1: not let any people on the left till you see
- 0:47Speaker 1: Trump Holman. We won. They all back down because we
- 0:51Speaker 1: had little checkpoints and we harassed ice and border patrol
- 0:54Speaker 1: so much that they back down. I heard Tom Holman.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm captivated. I'm looking at him. He was live this
- 1:00Speaker 1: morning about eight o'clock and from the very beginning to
- 1:03Speaker 1: the end. I had to miss a couple of minutes
- 1:06Speaker 1: at the end because I had to get in the
- 1:07Speaker 1: car and drive. But it was captivating and it really
- 1:10Speaker 1: encapsuled what he is about, what the President is about,
- 1:13Speaker 1: what you and I are about, what we would like
- 1:16Speaker 1: to see done in this country. And it's good news.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So we'll dive into that primarily here today. The mayor's
- 1:23Speaker 1: talking about safety downtown. There mean, some people who thought
- 1:27Speaker 1: it was a good idea, others not so much. But
- 1:30Speaker 1: the mayor dealing with that yesterday, so I'll tell you
- 1:32Speaker 1: about that. Gosh, what a great story if you get
- 1:36Speaker 1: a chance. Honestly, he is so good. Ryan Kaufman does
- 1:41Speaker 1: that Drivetime Sports in the afternoon, and I know some people.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You know, it's an acquired taste and you have to.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I get used to it pretty quickly because I'm immersed
- 1:50Speaker 1: in all of this news pretty much twenty four to seven,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and then I give myself the luxury of listening, not
- 1:58Speaker 1: always for the whole three hours, been hour or two.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And it's amazing the things I find out. I'm an
- 2:03Speaker 1: Avalanche fan. I had no idea that they've been playing
- 2:06Speaker 1: so poorly since s Gabe Blandeskog got hurt. Didn't know
- 2:09Speaker 1: that until I'm listening to him yesterday. Lindsay Vonn got
- 2:12Speaker 1: her over the weekend. One of my favorite sports is
- 2:16Speaker 1: downhill skiing and the Olympics in particular. And how out
- 2:20Speaker 1: of all of the news streams that I had coming in,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I didn't pick up that Lindsay Vonn got hurt over
- 2:25Speaker 1: the weekend. And I'm talking with Ryan and he said, well, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and she's going to compete, and I'm like, hold on, what, Yeah,
- 2:31Speaker 1: she's she's going to compete in the Olympics. She has
- 2:35Speaker 1: a torn acl and she's going to compete. She's ski
- 2:37Speaker 1: the other day. So we're gonna talk about that a
- 2:39Speaker 1: little bit. We'll hear from Lindsay Vaughn herself. But I
- 2:42Speaker 1: have to tell you, probably twenty minutes, fifteen minutes whatever,
- 2:46Speaker 1: it was probably about a half an hour into his show,
- 2:50Speaker 1: go to the podcast because he just tells the story
- 2:54Speaker 1: of Lindsay Vaughn. And maybe it's because I like skiing
- 2:56Speaker 1: so much in the Olympics and her so much, but
- 2:59Speaker 1: I'm I got choked up a couple of times because
- 3:02Speaker 1: it was so stunning. And part of her story is
- 3:06Speaker 1: she loves to represent the United States of America. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: wish that, you know, when she was all t vowed
- 3:11Speaker 1: up there that one season, and she's doing, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: kneeling with t vou and all that kind of thing
- 3:17Speaker 1: for a couple of weeks or whatever. I'm thinking, boy,
- 3:19Speaker 1: that would be great if the two of them could
- 3:21Speaker 1: start creating children, and we would have a great planet here.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I think she's a little bit more liberal than that,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and I think she's been critical of the president. I'll
- 3:31Speaker 1: tell you what, I don't like people who are critical
- 3:33Speaker 1: of the president, but I like people who love this country.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I think a lot of the people are critical of
- 3:37Speaker 1: the president have no idea how uninformed they are with
- 3:42Speaker 1: that criticism, just no idea whatsoever. And so I'm gonna,
- 3:47Speaker 1: in my own ways personally and on the air here
- 3:49Speaker 1: try to make some headway on that. But if people
- 3:52Speaker 1: won't listen to you, then there's no headway to be made.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And I keep seeing on X the past couple of
- 3:59Speaker 1: days all of these liberals saying, well, you need to
- 4:02Speaker 1: ditch your MAGA friends, and then you know, ditch I'm
- 4:05Speaker 1: never going to date somebody from MAGA. If I showed
- 4:08Speaker 1: you the woman that was saying that, I was gonna say,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I don't think that's gonna be much of a problem.
- 4:14Speaker 1: See that's so rude because I do look at a
- 4:16Speaker 1: lot of these people and how did I say this politely?
- 4:22Speaker 1: You know what, they look like freaks, and they want
- 4:24Speaker 1: to look like freaks. So there's this one woman yesterday
- 4:27Speaker 1: on X and you know she her face looks like
- 4:29Speaker 1: a pincushion. She's got so many piercings on it. And
- 4:33Speaker 1: I guess, you know, do your own thing whatever. But
- 4:36Speaker 1: it's almost predictable that some of the most outrageous stuff
- 4:40Speaker 1: is coming from some of the most outrageous people, right,
- 4:43Speaker 1: So we'll we'll talk about Lindsay Vaughn a little bit later,
- 4:46Speaker 1: but I recommend Ryan because he told her story. It's
- 4:50Speaker 1: just awesome. Want to remind you that over the weekend
- 4:53Speaker 1: they're going to have downtown a big celebration of the
- 4:56Speaker 1: kickoff to the Olympics. I went with my kids to
- 4:59Speaker 1: the one that they had for the Sochi Olympics. It
- 5:03Speaker 1: was awesome. Its cold as hell, but it was absolutely
- 5:05Speaker 1: worth the cold and it was absolutely awesome. And so
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'll probably be down there. The kids have grown up,
- 5:10Speaker 1: but I'll probably be down there myself for a little bit.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I would recommend it to you highly, and yes, if
- 5:16Speaker 1: you're asking it sounds like you kind of like the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Winter Olympics more than the summer. In fact, I do.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I do. True story, when I was a little kid,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I loved watching bob slid wild sports. Right, they'd always
- 5:27Speaker 1: have bob slid, or they'd have skeleton is what they
- 5:30Speaker 1: call it in San maritz It's kind of like looge,
- 5:32Speaker 1: except your head goes first, right, And I'd always watch that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And so I wrote a letter to the newspaper. I
- 5:38Speaker 1: say it was a tribute may have been the Sun Times.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So when I grew up, I'd like to be a
- 5:43Speaker 1: bob sled racer? How can I do that? And it
- 5:45Speaker 1: was kind of a snarky but polite letter that they
- 5:48Speaker 1: posted in the paper itself that said, well, that's a
- 5:52Speaker 1: good question. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to move to Lake
- 5:55Speaker 1: Placid because there is nothing remotely close to that here
- 5:59Speaker 1: in the mid or elsewhere in the United States. Now
- 6:01Speaker 1: that's changed. We have you know, Park City out there
- 6:04Speaker 1: in Utah. They've got a great facility as well. But
- 6:08Speaker 1: we've had a lot of athletes come out of Colorada Springs.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Who are you know, they're great when it comes to
- 6:13Speaker 1: lose or bobsledder all. I mean, we've had so many
- 6:16Speaker 1: great Colorado skiers. When I grew up, there weren't that
- 6:19Speaker 1: many great Colorado skiers. And then I think when Tommy
- 6:22Speaker 1: Moe came along Peekaboo Street, it started something. And so
- 6:26Speaker 1: some of the people you're looking at now, Lindsay Vond
- 6:28Speaker 1: some of the others, I think they grew up looking
- 6:30Speaker 1: at some of those folks and saying, no, it's not
- 6:32Speaker 1: just Switzerland and Austria and you know Norway, Sweden and
- 6:37Speaker 1: Italy that can have great France, that could have great skiers,
- 6:41Speaker 1: we have great skiers as well. And at age forty
- 6:44Speaker 1: one to come back with even an attempt to get
- 6:49Speaker 1: past a torn tendon like that and ski and.
- 6:53Speaker 4: She was out on the slopes already.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's an amazing story. When I'll be following, and I
- 6:57Speaker 1: promise not to over talk about it, because there are
- 7:00Speaker 1: so many other things that are going on in the world,
- 7:02Speaker 1: like well, like things are really heating up in the
- 7:06Speaker 1: Middle East. I'm keeping a close eye on it, and
- 7:08Speaker 1: I've got the advantage of a couple of friends, one
- 7:11Speaker 1: in particular, he's never given me a syllable of anything
- 7:16Speaker 1: that he shouldn't, but he steers me toward open source stuff.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And if you want to find out what's going on
- 7:21Speaker 1: in the Middle East, and there's a lot, there's a
- 7:24Speaker 1: ton of open source stuff out there. It's almost it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: almost creepy to be able to track exactly where our
- 7:31Speaker 1: aircraft carriers are, how far they are off the coast
- 7:34Speaker 1: of Iran. And apparently they pulled back a little bit
- 7:36Speaker 1: because Iran was threatening to use ICBMs on them, which
- 7:41Speaker 1: it's not really intercontinental, and I talked to my person, goes, well,
- 7:44Speaker 1: that's not a very good weapon to use against aircraft carrier.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But Chinese has been saying for a long time, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: their allies of Iran, they've been saying for a long time,
- 7:52Speaker 1: well we've got hypersonic that can take care of your
- 7:55Speaker 1: floating airport there pretty quickly. They did have a drone shootdown.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Le's get that out of the way. In fact, right
- 8:01Speaker 1: off the top, because I'm not going to do the
- 8:03Speaker 1: whole show on Iran. I'm just going to tell you
- 8:05Speaker 1: things are getting hot there and I will post some
- 8:08Speaker 1: stuff on my social media and I want it to
- 8:11Speaker 1: be on your radar because I don't want all of
- 8:14Speaker 1: a sudden, something just blows up there and your caught
- 8:17Speaker 1: flat foot at The US military says yesterday that it
- 8:19Speaker 1: shot down a drone from Iran that was aggressively approaching
- 8:23Speaker 1: that aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea. We've got Fox's
- 8:28Speaker 1: Lucas Tumlinson. He's in Washington. He's got the details on
- 8:30Speaker 1: that drone strike.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It's the first aired air kill for the Navies F
- 8:33Speaker 5: thirty five see launch from the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln
- 8:37Speaker 5: in order to shoot down that Iranian drone flying too
- 8:40Speaker 5: close to the strike group in the Arabian Sea. In
- 8:43Speaker 5: the past, Iran has used drone footage of US Navy
- 8:45Speaker 5: ships for propaganda purposes. The incident took place hours after
- 8:50Speaker 5: Rani and gunbowt Tarrasta US oil tanker transiting the Straight
- 8:53Speaker 5: of Horror moves a pair of vipers US Air Force
- 8:56Speaker 5: F sixteen's, along with the God of Missile destroyer uss
- 8:59Speaker 5: McFall escort of the tanker out of harm's way. Despite
- 9:02Speaker 5: the incidents, President Trump says talks will continue with Iran.
- 9:07Speaker 1: All right, So what is my take? Well, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 1: Lindsey Graham such a weird guy, and I'm not talking
- 9:12Speaker 1: about the other that's his own business. I don't even care.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I hate that people just, you know, shout that stuff
- 9:17Speaker 1: out of him. It's his life, it's his business. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: don't care unless it's somehow getting in the way of
- 9:21Speaker 1: what he does, and I don't think it is, because
- 9:23Speaker 1: it seems to be a pretty open secret. He did
- 9:25Speaker 1: say something the other day that I believe is true,
- 9:28Speaker 1: and it's not a very convenient truth. And that is
- 9:31Speaker 1: mister president, you kept telling people inside of Iran that
- 9:34Speaker 1: you would stand behind them, and some of those people
- 9:37Speaker 1: apparently believe you went out into the streets, got killed,
- 9:41Speaker 1: got injured, got captured, got put into prisons, got tortured.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And you need to keep that promise, not just for Iran,
- 9:49Speaker 1: but for all of the next time that you promise something,
- 9:52Speaker 1: not just for the people, do you promise it too,
- 9:53Speaker 1: but for a regime that if you warn them, don't
- 9:56Speaker 1: cross this red line. One of the examples that people
- 9:59Speaker 1: have been using in remember Syria, you had chemical weapons
- 10:02Speaker 1: there at Aleppo, and Obama's the president, and he said,
- 10:06Speaker 1: we got a red line here. You use any chemical
- 10:08Speaker 1: weapons and it's game over. They use chemical weapons and
- 10:11Speaker 1: it wasn't game over. So I think you have to
- 10:14Speaker 1: be pretty pretty astute when you start saying that, you know,
- 10:18Speaker 1: here's a red line and if you cross it, we're
- 10:20Speaker 1: in trouble. All right, let's take a little bit of
- 10:22Speaker 1: a short break here, and then when we come back,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we're gonna start talking about illegal immigration, primarily with Tom
- 10:29Speaker 1: Homan and the changes that are taking place announced just
- 10:32Speaker 1: a little over an hour ago in Minneapolis, and I
- 10:36Speaker 1: will post his entire press conference. I think it's about
- 10:39Speaker 1: twenty twenty five minutes long. Every word was golden and
- 10:42Speaker 1: if you want to know anything about what the status
- 10:45Speaker 1: of ice and border patrol and the border is, christin home.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Apparently he'll be down on the border and have a
- 10:50Speaker 1: press conference a little bit later today. It is one
- 10:53Speaker 1: stop shopping for all of that. I wish that I
- 10:56Speaker 1: could have time and I'd play the whole darn thing
- 10:58Speaker 1: for you, But we've got David's pulled a number of
- 11:00Speaker 1: clips on that, so we'll have that. One final thought,
- 11:03Speaker 1: So are you going out to Vegas anytime soon? You
- 11:06Speaker 1: was thinking about going out for a sporting of fun,
- 11:08Speaker 1: maybe you say a hockey game there, go see the
- 11:10Speaker 1: Eagles at the Dome or anything. Do you have any
- 11:13Speaker 1: concerns about whether the Chinese have been running an illegal
- 11:17Speaker 1: bio lab with a bola and stuff like that in
- 11:20Speaker 1: Las Vegas. Oh, you didn't have that concern. You should
- 11:23Speaker 1: have that concern. Tell you about that when we come
- 11:24Speaker 1: back Las Vegas. So I have to tell you about
- 11:31Speaker 1: Las Vegas. It's not an entirely unheard of thing for
- 11:35Speaker 1: there to be an illegal Chinese bio lab with apparently
- 11:42Speaker 1: samples of Ebola, West Nile and all of the rest.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Just not It's happened once before out in California, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: I didn't have time to just cross my mind. Now,
- 11:51Speaker 1: David's gonna look for it. That's how it works sometimes,
- 11:54Speaker 1: David's gonna look forward to see if he can find
- 11:57Speaker 1: what I think was a story coming out of maybe
- 11:59Speaker 1: Michigan again, there was a university there with a couple
- 12:01Speaker 1: of professors from China who were trying to smuggle in
- 12:05Speaker 1: some Ebola and things like that. It ties together with
- 12:08Speaker 1: this story that you'll see breaking a lot today or
- 12:11Speaker 1: a lot of talk about it, and that is Chinese
- 12:14Speaker 1: anchor babies. And the fact that Obama was okay with that, Well,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'm not okay with that, and I'm not Okay, with
- 12:20Speaker 1: the fact that Joe Biden let tons of Chinese come
- 12:24Speaker 1: across the border and we have no idea who these
- 12:26Speaker 1: people were. We had an expert on the border on
- 12:29Speaker 1: a couple of times, and one of the things that
- 12:31Speaker 1: he reminded us of he goes, you just have to
- 12:33Speaker 1: look at the people are coming in and like, why
- 12:35Speaker 1: do you guys look at the Chinese. You don't see
- 12:36Speaker 1: Chinese families coming in. You don't see little kids or
- 12:39Speaker 1: moms or elderly Chinese people coming across the border. You
- 12:43Speaker 1: see people who are all.
- 12:44Speaker 4: They look almost identical.
- 12:46Speaker 1: They're the same age, they're all male, they stand about
- 12:49Speaker 1: the same height, their haircut is almost identical. They have
- 12:52Speaker 1: good teeth, which is unusual in China. They have a
- 12:55Speaker 1: certain military bearing, and why would that be best because
- 12:58Speaker 1: they're in the military. They're just coming across the border
- 13:01Speaker 1: into the United States. So now we have this story
- 13:03Speaker 1: breaking out of Las Vegas, where over the weekend. The
- 13:07Speaker 1: story broke yesterday, apparently the raid was over the weekend.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You have a swat team go in there and they
- 13:12Speaker 1: have more than a thousand pieces of evidence with potential
- 13:16Speaker 1: biological and hazardous materials, primarily in a locked garage. The
- 13:22Speaker 1: video is up and you can look at that online.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I guess everybody values things differently. That stands to me
- 13:32Speaker 1: like a concern, like a pretty big story. I don't
- 13:36Speaker 1: know if that should be the lead story of a
- 13:38Speaker 1: newscast or the front page of a newspaper, but it
- 13:42Speaker 1: certainly ought to be on our radar. Why because that
- 13:45Speaker 1: one little biolab is so important, Richard, No, because that's
- 13:49Speaker 1: the one little biolab we know about. So how many
- 13:51Speaker 1: other biolabs are there out there? I mean it's funny
- 13:54Speaker 1: because people made a big deal and I understand why
- 13:58Speaker 1: about a biolab here in Colorado. But I knew somebody
- 14:01Speaker 1: who worked at that biolab, and the story that they
- 14:04Speaker 1: did a couple of weeks ago is actually a couple
- 14:06Speaker 1: of years behind in terms of what was going on
- 14:08Speaker 1: at that lab up near Fort Collins. And like I said,
- 14:12Speaker 1: I knew somebody who worked there, and the protocols were
- 14:14Speaker 1: strict as hell. I mean, background checks, go in, go out,
- 14:18Speaker 1: everything you only work, compartmentalize over here, westn alvirus, ebola, here,
- 14:24Speaker 1: a lot of other stuff. But it was very well
- 14:27Speaker 1: organized and very secure. That's not what we're talking about here.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And so if you find one in California like this,
- 14:33Speaker 1: which they did before, and you find this one in Vegas,
- 14:37Speaker 1: aren't you curious to know how many other ones are
- 14:40Speaker 1: out there?
- 14:42Speaker 4: I am, And.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So what could they be up to? I don't know,
- 14:46Speaker 1: you know, all I can think is they're just research
- 14:48Speaker 1: scientists who couldn't get, you know, a university to hire
- 14:52Speaker 1: them to help them with their research, so they've had
- 14:54Speaker 1: to go it alone. Do you think that's the possibility?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Do you think the possibility is that you know, they
- 15:00Speaker 1: want to have something like this in case they want
- 15:03Speaker 1: to release something in the United States, so that we
- 15:05Speaker 1: would have a Wuhan COVID too, except a lot worse
- 15:09Speaker 1: than what that was. I'm concerned about that, and I'm
- 15:12Speaker 1: dead serious about this. You don't have to call just
- 15:14Speaker 1: shoot me a text and tell me I'm crazy to
- 15:18Speaker 1: be concerned that we got Chinese bio labs and Chinese
- 15:22Speaker 1: people bringing hazardous materials and bio things that can be
- 15:27Speaker 1: used for bio weapons put it that way into the
- 15:29Speaker 1: United States, Because I don't think I'm crazy, and I
- 15:32Speaker 1: think it is something that ought to be on people's radar.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And if you find it's like a criminal. You know
- 15:36Speaker 1: you caught this guy stealing one car. Do do you
- 15:38Speaker 1: think you only caught him the very first time you
- 15:40Speaker 1: ever stole a car? Or do you think he probably
- 15:42Speaker 1: stole ten cars before this one and ten cars after
- 15:45Speaker 1: this one. But you're prosecuting for one And Democrats would
- 15:48Speaker 1: say he you know, he made a mistake, give.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Him a break.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Just because a person was charged or convicted one time
- 15:54Speaker 1: doesn't mean that the person didn't commit all these other crimes.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I say that to say that if you find a
- 15:59Speaker 1: bio weapon lab in Las Vegas, you ought to have
- 16:03Speaker 1: on your radar a lot of other things. And I
- 16:05Speaker 1: just there's no way around it. How does some of
- 16:08Speaker 1: this stuff happen Richard that you're worried about Chinese bio
- 16:11Speaker 1: labs or some of these other people that maybe sleeper
- 16:15Speaker 1: cells inside of the United States just waiting until there's
- 16:17Speaker 1: a conflict between China and the United States. Well you
- 16:20Speaker 1: could blame how about all one hundremierkis? Could you blame him?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Could you blame Joe Biden? Probably not, he wasn't cognitive
- 16:27Speaker 1: enough to know very much. Could you blame the Auto
- 16:30Speaker 1: pen gang there? You can blame them a little bit
- 16:32Speaker 1: I think as well. How about Kamala Harris, she was
- 16:35Speaker 1: the borders are right, she let all these people in.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And what the people in Minneapolis and all of these
- 16:40Speaker 1: anti Ico bad Bunny and these Hollywood people out there
- 16:44Speaker 1: will never acknowledge is that Tom Holman and this president
- 16:48Speaker 1: and een border patrol and all of the rest are
- 16:52Speaker 1: cleaning up a huge, serious problem that was created in
- 16:57Speaker 1: the four years, primarily the four years of the Biden administration.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Why don't all of these you know, liberals who want
- 17:04Speaker 1: to yell at President Trump and about ice and border
- 17:07Speaker 1: patrol and all the rest, why don't they just acknowledge
- 17:09Speaker 1: that we wouldn't even be doing any of this if
- 17:12Speaker 1: the border was locked down the way it is now.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You know, one of the things that Tom Holman said
- 17:16Speaker 1: this press conference today, and this is the guy worked
- 17:19Speaker 1: for several administrations, right, so when he says it, I've
- 17:22Speaker 1: got to believe him. He says, this is the most tight,
- 17:25Speaker 1: secure and lockdown border that the United States has ever happened.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Meaning if you read the book Pretty Horses, and they
- 17:33Speaker 1: went back and back and forth across the border. Panchobilla
- 17:37Speaker 1: comes in and attacks a town in Arizona. Border used
- 17:40Speaker 1: to be pretty poor. It's going back for a long
- 17:41Speaker 1: long time. It was only recently they had millions and
- 17:44Speaker 1: millions of people coming across it, And now how many
- 17:47Speaker 1: people do they have coming across it? That could have
- 17:50Speaker 1: been done at any time? And if you're thinking, I'm
- 17:53Speaker 1: giving people a pass on that, like Bush and some
- 17:55Speaker 1: of the others, Koch brothers, they wanted cheap labor, so
- 17:58Speaker 1: they're okay with the illegals coming in. A lot of
- 18:01Speaker 1: people could shut that border down if they wanted to,
- 18:03Speaker 1: but they didn't want to. President Trump's not a perfect man.
- 18:06Speaker 1: He's not a perfect president whatever that crapit. You have
- 18:09Speaker 1: to hear all the caveats and you know the exemptions.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But he is an American hero because he's making this
- 18:15Speaker 1: country secure. And had Joe Biden, people actually thought to
- 18:19Speaker 1: elect his vice president, who allowed this to go on.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I don't know if you could just have a little
- 18:25Speaker 1: Neon sign on the back of everybody out there after
- 18:27Speaker 1: they have their body cams on the front, on the
- 18:29Speaker 1: back they have solving the problem that was created by Biden,
- 18:32Speaker 1: Harris and my Orcus, that'd be kind of cute.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Let's go to New im Mariane Confidence with Sports on
- 18:39Speaker 3: kV R. For most athletes at toorn ACL means this
- 18:43Speaker 3: season is over. Lindsay Vaughan is apparently not most athletes.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Considering how mine feels, it feels stable, I feel strong,
- 18:51Speaker 6: my knee is not swollen, and with the help of
- 18:54Speaker 6: a kneebrace, I am confident that I can compete on Sunday.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Forty one year old gold Men suffered the injury just
- 19:01Speaker 3: last Friday, but we'll press on with her Olympic comeback.
- 19:05Speaker 3: The Cortina Games will be her first Olympics since twenty eighteen.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I'll have more on these stories on Drivetime Sports at three.
- 19:13Speaker 3: For now, I'm Ryan Kaufman and that's Sports on seven
- 19:16Speaker 3: forty kV OR.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Okay, So I need to say this because I'm listening
- 19:22Speaker 1: to Ryan yesterday. I'm interested in Lindsay Vonn.
- 19:25Speaker 4: And you know, even in just.
- 19:26Speaker 1: The first half hour of his show, it was so
- 19:28Speaker 1: good to just have a little bit of a break
- 19:30Speaker 1: of every all the conflict and everything that's going on.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Plus I found an update on Lindsay Vaughn. I love
- 19:35Speaker 1: Olympic skiing and also the Avalanche. I love the Avalanche.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I had no idea till I'm listening to him exactly
- 19:42Speaker 1: where the Avalanche is in terms of their season, especially
- 19:45Speaker 1: after Gabe Landis got hurt. It's kind of refreshing. But
- 19:48Speaker 1: the key thing then is I get done with that
- 19:50Speaker 1: and I go straight to Levin. So I would recommend it.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Give it a list now, Lindsay von A couple of
- 19:56Speaker 1: thoughts here. My first thing, and I'm sure you're thinking
- 19:58Speaker 1: the same thing, But wait a minut you're all talking
- 20:01Speaker 1: about Lindsay Vaughn here. She's amazing, she's forty one, she's
- 20:04Speaker 1: still cute, and she's gonna go out there and ski.
- 20:07Speaker 1: There are people I saw online who are like, she's
- 20:09Speaker 1: probably paking this, and she probably paked to have the
- 20:12Speaker 1: crash and the injury so that she can make this
- 20:14Speaker 1: heroic comeback and make more money and everything. I'm not
- 20:18Speaker 1: saying that that's never happened in sport. I guess it
- 20:20Speaker 1: may have. I'm pretty sure that's not what's going on
- 20:24Speaker 1: with her. First of all, for her to even come
- 20:26Speaker 1: back out of retirement at her age is amazing. I
- 20:30Speaker 1: did a very I don't want to sound like I
- 20:33Speaker 1: did ski race. I did a very tiny amount of
- 20:35Speaker 1: ski racing in the Midwest, and then out here for
- 20:38Speaker 1: a little bit, I did ski learn how to do
- 20:40Speaker 1: downhill with Billy Kidd and the guy who you know
- 20:44Speaker 1: trained people for the Olympics, and so I got a
- 20:47Speaker 1: little bit of experience. But I can also tell you
- 20:49Speaker 1: that I've skied one time since I tore my ACL
- 20:52Speaker 1: How'd you do that, Richard Well?
- 20:54Speaker 4: I went to Monarch.
- 20:54Speaker 1: I hadn't skied all year. I went out there at
- 20:56Speaker 1: the end of the season, and I was so excited
- 20:59Speaker 1: to get onto this slow that I didn't do anything
- 21:01Speaker 1: to warm up or stretch or anything. I just got
- 21:03Speaker 1: onto a run called Pecante. I will remember that forever
- 21:07Speaker 1: because you're whipping along and then next thing you know,
- 21:10Speaker 1: there's a pop. You're tumbling through. And I always had
- 21:13Speaker 1: these like racing skis, right, and you have racing bindings.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Now that's nice, sounds cool, right, Except the racing bindings
- 21:20Speaker 1: don't release easily because you don't want your ski flipping out.
- 21:23Speaker 1: If you put a lot of pressure on it, it
- 21:25Speaker 1: didn't release, so it tears up the thing. Now I
- 21:28Speaker 1: go to a great specialist, and I was stunned to
- 21:30Speaker 1: find out that, you know, John Elway played a good
- 21:34Speaker 1: part of his career I'm pretty sure he won a
- 21:36Speaker 1: Super Bowl on a bad leg because he had torn
- 21:39Speaker 1: his ACL didn't have it repaired. I did go out
- 21:42Speaker 1: one time subsequently and tried it to ski, put a
- 21:44Speaker 1: big knee brace on everything. It was wobbling, and it's
- 21:47Speaker 1: just it. It didn't feel like doing it again. I
- 21:50Speaker 1: mentioned that only because take my word for it. For
- 21:53Speaker 1: her to even be thinking about doing this so quickly
- 21:56Speaker 1: is the major deal. Now we come to the big
- 21:59Speaker 1: elephant in the room, right, Lindsay Vonn Donald Trump, Ice, Mega, you,
- 22:06Speaker 1: Richard Randall, when she was done with Tim Tebow, you
- 22:10Speaker 1: thought you had a chance.
- 22:11Speaker 4: No, I never had a chance. I didn't want to
- 22:13Speaker 4: have a chance. I was not available.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But I can tell you this, Lindsay Vonne, there's so
- 22:18Speaker 1: much to like about her. In by the same token,
- 22:20Speaker 1: I think she fits in with many of these other
- 22:23Speaker 1: athletes and many of these people in Hollywood and all
- 22:26Speaker 1: the rest. They're low information, and because they're low information
- 22:29Speaker 1: or they're only getting information from one source, they have
- 22:32Speaker 1: this attitude toward President Trump or make America great again,
- 22:35Speaker 1: or America First, or any of these things. So but
- 22:39Speaker 1: to what extent, Richard, Well, you know, apparently she had
- 22:42Speaker 1: said previously. Now this goes back to twenty seventeen. She
- 22:47Speaker 1: had come back then and she was gonna ski at
- 22:49Speaker 1: the twenty eighteen Olympics, and she made it clear that
- 22:51Speaker 1: she really had no interest. If she had won a
- 22:54Speaker 1: medal in going to the White House, she absolutely would
- 22:56Speaker 1: not do that because she was going to the Olympics
- 22:59Speaker 1: to represent the United States of America and not one person.
- 23:03Speaker 4: That person would have been Donald Trump.
- 23:04Speaker 1: That's fine. What did you think everybody went to the
- 23:07Speaker 1: Olympics was representing the president of their country at that time?
- 23:11Speaker 4: That's why would you think that? That's kind of stupid.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Do you think all of the teams that went to
- 23:16Speaker 1: the White House they won their championship because they were
- 23:19Speaker 1: representing that president or something? Lindsey, That's not the way
- 23:22Speaker 1: it works. You beat the hell out of your body.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I wasn't aware that he had any I'm not kidding here,
- 23:27Speaker 1: any concussions. I've had seven of them. It does something
- 23:30Speaker 1: to your brain, especially as you get a little bit older.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I just think it's low information, and so I think
- 23:37Speaker 1: the most telling thing here, David, you were the one
- 23:39Speaker 1: who told me about this. He's like, well, yeah, see,
- 23:41Speaker 1: she didn't want to say anything bad about President Trump.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I'm like really, so that's kind of new. And then
- 23:47Speaker 1: she didn't want to say anything bad about President Trump
- 23:50Speaker 1: heading into these Olympics in case she was going to
- 23:53Speaker 1: have her passport ganged stop
