- 1:19SPEAKER_04: But they know it now.
- 1:20SPEAKER_04: Proud of us.
- 1:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're expanding as a podcast.
- 1:24SPEAKER_04: Um, how do you guys feel about uh the two-day break that we had without seeing each other?
- 1:29SPEAKER_05: I actually love seeing you guys, so uh I'm glad that we're back here again.
- 1:33SPEAKER_04: Twice a week is a little bit too so for me.
- 1:38SPEAKER_07: What was the third time?
- 1:42SPEAKER_07: That's a home podcast.
- 1:44SPEAKER_08: Damn shit.
- 1:44SPEAKER_08: Once you see AG, that's podcast meeting.
- 1:46SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's like it's crazy.
- 1:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so uh I'm I'm having a little rough day too.
- 1:56SPEAKER_07: Nah, nah, yeah.
- 1:57SPEAKER_07: Yeah, white fun.
- 1:58SPEAKER_07: Just don't incriminate nobody on your show.
- 2:00SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna do it regardless.
- 2:01SPEAKER_04: So you either defend yourself or you let me tell the story for you.
- 2:05SPEAKER_07: You can tell the story for yourself.
- 2:07SPEAKER_04: Alright, so Chubbs calls me at like six in the morning and says there was a hooker with Coke on her pussy, should he or shouldn't he?
- 2:14SPEAKER_04: And I promptly told him no.
- 2:17SPEAKER_04: And then he hit me back like I did it.
- 2:19SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
- 2:21SPEAKER_04: And I was like, damn, this nigga's crazy.
- 2:23SPEAKER_04: And this is what he had guessed for hanging out with the white folk and though black person would have had him in that role.
- 2:29SPEAKER_07: And no man just had me doing some weed out of her pussy.
- 2:35SPEAKER_07: We not even do that.
- 2:39SPEAKER_07: You could they could they could inhale?
- 2:42SPEAKER_07: You never see you never seen the video of like the girls.
- 2:44SPEAKER_04: So you sure you having sex with women?
- 2:46SPEAKER_07: You never seen like the video of like the woman like inhaling um like hookah out of her pussy and blown out old?
- 2:51SPEAKER_07: What type of hookah?
- 2:52SPEAKER_07: Oh no.
- 2:53SPEAKER_07: Upload all blown out old.
- 2:55SPEAKER_07: That's not a shit.
- 2:56SPEAKER_07: She would legit.
- 2:56SPEAKER_07: She like it would be treading on Instagram.
- 2:59SPEAKER_07: Like she would that has had the hookah.
- 3:01SPEAKER_05: She'll pull it in and she'll puff at that.
- 3:03SPEAKER_05: This is definitely not world star.
- 3:04SPEAKER_05: Did you see the videos of that?
- 3:05SPEAKER_07: Oh, you didn't see the video I posted that damn near almost got my account banned twice.
- 3:09SPEAKER_08: I mean, if you shooting anything out of a vagina on any video you post it on Instagram, I can assume that's why you get kicked off.
- 3:16SPEAKER_04: This is actually a great segue into our Instagram topic.
- 3:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:19SPEAKER_04: Thank you for somebody for saying that.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: Informed the uninformed in the room.
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: Well, um, this is Toon's topic probably.
- 3:24SPEAKER_05: No, actually, I've seen it twice on the rollout.
- 3:26SPEAKER_05: I think KOcho had it as well.
- 3:28SPEAKER_04: You guys should uh tackle this topic together.
- 3:30SPEAKER_05: Tunes being that uh I'm frequently on Instagram, I was taken by surprise when I got the news that Instagram is uh taking down likes starting next week.
- 3:41SPEAKER_04: Whoa, next week?
- 3:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, starting next week.
- 3:43SPEAKER_04: Taking out likes.
- 3:44SPEAKER_04: What do you mean?
- 3:46SPEAKER_05: They're not allowed to do a lot of a lot of people.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: No, they were t they were testing it in different you know, countries and so yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_07: So I'm no longer allowed to like a picture?
- 3:53SPEAKER_07: No, no, no, no.
- 3:54SPEAKER_08: No, you can like it's not publicly shown how many likes you get per image or video.
- 3:59SPEAKER_08: But the user sees how many likes.
- 4:01SPEAKER_08: The user sees it, but you don't.
- 4:02SPEAKER_08: So now you have to screenshot it and then repost to show how many likes you have.
- 4:06SPEAKER_07: So you know what that just sounds like?
- 4:08SPEAKER_08: What does it sound like?
- 4:09SPEAKER_07: Oh, these motherfuckers that live off in Instagram, it's about to be a sad day for y'all motherfuckers.
- 4:14SPEAKER_06: I mean, they're still getting it.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: So I'll go through I'll go through, you know, my whole text because Nikki Minaj sort of touches on the city.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, she did a great job.
- 4:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, she did a great job.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: Her and Cardi Burning.
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: Anti.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: She didn't she didn't like it.
- 4:28SPEAKER_05: Um women.
- 4:30SPEAKER_07: Like I said.
- 4:30SPEAKER_05: Uh no, no, she had a great point.
- 4:32SPEAKER_05: I can't remember.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it wasn't even about it wasn't even about her.
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: So I'll just start with Nikki's point.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: So Nikki believes that they're removing it to make it more difficult for people to um that have misses as in um influencers because brands may just go to Instagram now to pay for a sponsored post because now they don't have that likes metric, so then they're won't be able to see how much traffic they got or interaction they have with their posts.
- 4:55SPEAKER_03: Um and then Cardi B's point, because you know, Instagram was saying like, oh, it's you know, to reduce um to help remove some of the social pressures relating to likes, which I don't think it's that serious.
- 5:05SPEAKER_03: But Cardi B.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: I don't think the pre I don't think the pressures are as serious for likes, to be honest.
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: Um, in terms of the negativity um that it's causing on people's lives.
- 5:15SPEAKER_03: So Cardi B says that the comments are the more influential part that negatively uh negatively affects um their users, such as like let's say if someone posts a nasty comment, now people can also like that comment, so it um makes that person feel validated when people like their comments, and then it continues that vicious cycle of people just posting nasty comments and then you know have it having other people's like it.
- 5:39SPEAKER_03: So those were their perspectives in terms of um how they felt about the issues, because I feel I feel like removing the likes doesn't do anything.
- 5:47SPEAKER_03: Like I don't think it's really gonna affect people that much.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 5:51SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 5:52SPEAKER_04: Alright, so first thing we should point out I mean in a positive way.
- 5:55SPEAKER_04: Can I can I give out my rebuttal?
- 5:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:57SPEAKER_04: But first thing before we rebut rebutter.
- 6:01SPEAKER_04: Um we um is this the first time in a long time that Nikki Minaj and Cardi B have agreed on something?
- 6:07SPEAKER_04: I think we should make notes.
- 6:08SPEAKER_08: I feel like it's the first thing that's not.
- 6:12SPEAKER_08: They're on the same side.
- 6:13SPEAKER_08: Yeah, they're on the same side.
- 6:19SPEAKER_05: I saw it from Nikki first.
- 6:20SPEAKER_05: I saw it.
- 6:20SPEAKER_05: So I don't know who spoke first.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Um I think I saw it from Cardi first, and then Nikki went on live recently.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: But they both like uh Cardi posted a video too on her actual page.
- 6:33SPEAKER_04: Okay, uh Chubbs, there's some things that you want to get off here.
- 6:37SPEAKER_07: I'll I agree with Instagram.
- 6:40SPEAKER_07: I agree with them taking it down because it a like does have a lot of social pressure.
- 6:45SPEAKER_07: Because I have, well, me, you, me, AG, and too, we have friends that y'all could y'all can agree to this that if they post a picture and it doesn't do a certain amount of likes, what do they do?
- 6:56SPEAKER_05: They remove it.
- 6:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 6:58SPEAKER_07: And there's a lot of people on Instagram that are either promoters or they want they're clothing and they feel like the likes means the world to them.
- 7:07SPEAKER_07: Where people buy likes.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:10SPEAKER_07: The likes and the followers, to me, if it didn't show how many likes and they didn't show how many followers you have, nobody would have Instagram.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:17SPEAKER_07: Because they use it, oh, I'm a popular kid.
- 7:20SPEAKER_07: I get I have this many followers.
- 7:22SPEAKER_07: Like, there's woman in the world that would tell you, like, oh, you only have 50 followers and wouldn't talk to.
- 7:29SPEAKER_07: And that has happened to me.
- 7:30SPEAKER_07: That's happened to you in real life.
- 7:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and you have seen that, and I had to look at her like, listen, I just created my upper account.
- 7:35SPEAKER_07: Come on, oh, I got hacked, and when I showed her my old account, I only had maybe 2,000 followers, and she's like, oh, okay, and had a conversation.
- 7:42SPEAKER_07: That's a problem in the world, in my opinion.
- 7:44SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 7:44SPEAKER_07: That likes and and what you go.
- 7:46SPEAKER_07: I see what they're saying with the comments, because a comment could be harmful.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I feel like just they're more important.
- 7:54SPEAKER_07: But I've seen people take that a picture because it got only 10 likes.
- 7:59SPEAKER_07: Like, there's people that if you don't see a number for likes and it's just the names, they know you have under the ten, and people people like, I'm taking it down.
- 8:09SPEAKER_04: Um, I think that uh you're absolutely correct.
- 8:13SPEAKER_04: Uh I think it's a double-edged sword though.
- 8:15SPEAKER_04: Because what about the people that their businesses rely on and their livelihood relies on social media?
- 8:22SPEAKER_04: If I start like this podcast, this podcast, right?
- 8:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, no, but if like you you understand how Instagram works.
- 8:28SPEAKER_04: If you post something and it has 40 likes versus 4,000, I'm gonna gear towards the thing that has 4,000 likes.
- 8:35SPEAKER_04: Why do 4,000 people like this?
- 8:36SPEAKER_04: So look at this podcast.
- 8:37SPEAKER_04: If we posted an episode and there was no likes at all, nobody's gonna really watch it.
- 8:42SPEAKER_04: Because they're not gonna follow that trend, you know what I'm saying?
- 8:45SPEAKER_05: I actually I actually disagree in a sense because now so you have a bunch of people that have like so I have a certain amount of followers, but it doesn't always correlate with how many likes I get.
- 8:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah, of course.
- 8:57SPEAKER_05: Of course, of course.
- 8:57SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: So now Exactly the views are sort of exactly.
- 9:01SPEAKER_05: So imagine now uh Gas Money has X amount of followers and you see it, but we only have X amount of people that's liking it.
- 9:09SPEAKER_05: Now with the likes not being there, I don't know really, really how to go into detail about it, but I was having a conversation conversation with my brother.
- 9:17SPEAKER_05: But now at this point, if you're trying to up up um, you're upcoming and you're trying to like build a brand, you don't have to worry about the likes anymore.
- 9:25SPEAKER_05: That's uh that's a lot of pressure of trying to gain the likes instead of gaining the followers.
- 9:30SPEAKER_05: Now, if you have a lot of followers, but your likes is not adding up to the followers, at least now you don't have to worry about proving that you, you know, that there's it's actual people liking your shit.
- 9:40SPEAKER_07: That is a big problem.
- 9:41SPEAKER_07: I agree with tune that if somebody has 10,000 followers and they only get 10 likes, everybody's gonna say you bought followers.
- 9:47SPEAKER_07: Of course.
- 9:47SPEAKER_07: Now if I can't see if I can't see the likes, but I have 10,000 followers, everybody's gonna be like, alright, 10,000 followers paid for what?
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: So this so removing the likes you think helps our businesses.
- 9:59SPEAKER_05: It does, because now if well maybe not business per se, but I know I'm speaking from an artist standpoint.
- 10:05SPEAKER_05: Not smaller.
- 10:05SPEAKER_07: That's what my point was.
- 10:07SPEAKER_07: But like if because think about like this, if I start.
- 10:12SPEAKER_07: Yeah, let's say this podcast, right?
- 10:14SPEAKER_07: I have Instagram, right?
- 10:15SPEAKER_07: We do.
- 10:16SPEAKER_07: And I yeah, but I'm just saying, like, in this scenario, I spend, let's say,$50 and get a hundred thousand followers.
- 10:22SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 10:22SPEAKER_07: But you can't see how many likes I have.
- 10:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 10:24SPEAKER_07: What does that look like?
- 10:26SPEAKER_07: It looks like my shit.
- 10:28SPEAKER_07: It looks like I'm late.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: But then this is the thing though.
- 10:31SPEAKER_03: This is Nikki's, this is Nikki's point.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Like you said, you can buy followers, right?
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Buy likes, but then now if you can't have those things correlating, right, in terms of how much interaction you get per post, you know, most brands, like she said, are just gonna go to Instagram and pay them for the sponsored post.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: Because they can they can spread that post with everybody.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: It's not just limited to a person's followers, it's everybody on Instagram.
- 10:54SPEAKER_03: So now that the the likes are supposed to correlate with how much real interaction you have with your followers.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: You can have a hundred thousand followers, but like you said, if you have ten likes, it seems like you're by exactly.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: So then without the likes, they can't verify how much traffic you're actually gonna bring with that post.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: So why were so if I'm a company like Starbucks and I wanted to promote a new drink, I would have to battle between, oh shit, do I get the influencers to do it because they get tons of likes, or do I go to Instagram and just to promote it?
- 11:22SPEAKER_04: If you remove the likes, the influencers are not necessary.
- 11:25SPEAKER_07: I was thinking you're saying like the the the IG comedians and saying too.
- 11:30SPEAKER_08: Um I I understand him there because if you're an artist, you're gonna put out things as pure to you, not what you think uh it's gonna get.
- 11:36SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 11:37SPEAKER_08: So if less likes are shown, you're I disagree.
- 11:39SPEAKER_08: Uh from an artist, you're an artist.
- 11:42SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 11:43SPEAKER_04: I think that artists are actually more inclined to do the shenanigans and bullshit because this is gonna get me likes.
- 11:49SPEAKER_04: But if there's no more likes, then it's like, damn, like a personality.
- 11:53SPEAKER_04: Let's get to the real shit.
- 11:54SPEAKER_04: Originally Blueface, he added the song, the bust down thatiana song.
- 11:58SPEAKER_04: And then ever since then, it's just all antics from the guy because he can't make another record.
- 12:01SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: So a lot of these dudes are gonna be stuck because their music can't speak for them anymore.
- 12:05SPEAKER_07: Nah, that that that's that's you're right, because it's just like D1 Pop that other day when you play a song like D1 Pop makes music.
- 12:11SPEAKER_07: I only know him for being an Instagram comedian.
- 12:13SPEAKER_07: He's an Instagram comedian.
- 12:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:15SPEAKER_07: And legit, I know him for being funny, but when he played the record, I'm like, yo, this record is actually good.
- 12:20SPEAKER_07: But I'm like, I would never know that because Instagram only showed you the funny.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think I think the losers are gonna be the influencers.
- 12:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, for sure.
- 12:28SPEAKER_05: Nah, of course.
- 12:28SPEAKER_05: But IG models, but also you were able to always go straight to IG for promotion anyway.
- 12:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 12:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but that was that's what Ace was saying.
- 12:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, I think it was Kyoto was saying.
- 12:38SPEAKER_04: Now that's the only output.
- 12:39SPEAKER_04: That's a dub.
- 12:40SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna just go straight to Instagram.
- 12:42SPEAKER_04: I don't have to go to pop D1 pop and be like, oh, D1 pop, make my shift lit.
- 12:46SPEAKER_04: It doesn't just give a shout out and say, Are you this?
- 12:49SPEAKER_04: Like that's that's a whole market that's about to be gone.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: That creates value in terms of yeah.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: So I don't know.
- 12:56SPEAKER_04: Because think about somebody like CasFax.
- 12:58SPEAKER_04: Like he made a name for himself by being funny, getting mad likes, getting mad reads.
- 13:02SPEAKER_04: I don't know how Twitter.
- 13:03SPEAKER_04: You know what the crazy part?
- 13:04SPEAKER_04: Who is he?
- 13:05SPEAKER_04: I don't I don't know.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: I'm just used to it.
- 13:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I know I saw the thing about it.
- 13:10SPEAKER_05: But he's yeah, he buzzed up.
- 13:12SPEAKER_05: He built that.
- 13:13SPEAKER_04: But now it's like, why would I go to Cas Facts to tell to repost my um my shoot of us or my just go to Instagram?
- 13:22SPEAKER_05: Because you also know who'll see it.
- 13:23SPEAKER_05: So I know I know Meek follows CasFax.
- 13:26SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 13:26SPEAKER_05: So I mean, as I know it's the I it's not likely if I tell CasFax to post this that Meek will see it.
- 13:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but Meek is using Instagram.
- 13:34SPEAKER_05: Nah, but of course, but also but also all paid sponsorship shit.
- 13:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, all paid sponsorship.
- 13:39SPEAKER_05: Yeah, see, I don't know I don't know how to do it.
- 13:40SPEAKER_07: Alright, so this the way the sp the the way sponsor the sponsor posts really work from what I understand is like let's say tombs.
- 13:46SPEAKER_07: So you don't even understand it.
- 13:48SPEAKER_07: No, I understand, I understand to a degree where let's say too um goes sponsors.
- 13:54SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 13:55SPEAKER_07: And I follow Toon.
- 13:56SPEAKER_07: It's gonna pop up on mine and the people that follow me, not who I'm following.
- 14:00unknown: Okay.
- 14:01SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: So like Instagram has its own account, I'm assuming.
- 14:04SPEAKER_04: No, they do.
- 14:05SPEAKER_04: They do have like Instagram, everybody's following Instagram or nobody's following Instagram.
- 14:09SPEAKER_04: No, no, no.
- 14:10SPEAKER_04: Nobody follows Instagram.
- 14:11SPEAKER_04: Have you ever seen an Instagram promoted thing that you didn't follow?
- 14:14SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 14:16SPEAKER_07: I don't think that happens.
- 14:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like for products, like for products, let's say hair products or whatever.
- 14:21SPEAKER_07: I've never seen, I only see like the shit that I Google and shit like that.
- 14:24SPEAKER_07: I don't really be seeing random.
- 14:28SPEAKER_08: It's usually exactly.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: It's usually like things based off like what you follow and like you know what you even click on, like on your like four page.
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: It's an algorithm.
- 14:38SPEAKER_04: Okay, so Instagram is the person that you're paying to promote your shit.
- 14:42SPEAKER_05: But everybody wants to see it ain't gonna see it.
- 14:45SPEAKER_05: I'm telling you.
- 14:46SPEAKER_05: I see exactly what you're saying.
- 14:48SPEAKER_05: And that makes sense, obviously.
- 14:50SPEAKER_07: But I'm telling you, like let's say let's say Toonposts a sponsored ad right now.
- 14:55SPEAKER_07: The chance of Meek Meal really seeing it is gonna be slick.
- 14:59SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's with the current system that's going on.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: I'm talking about when the likes are gone.
- 15:04SPEAKER_04: I'm talking about the new system.
- 15:06SPEAKER_04: So whatever the new system is.
- 15:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but the system that they have now isn't based off likes when you do the sponsored ad.
- 15:13SPEAKER_07: You just told me it's who you follow.
- 15:15SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's basically like if I follow him, I'm gonna see it, and the people that follow me.
- 15:18SPEAKER_07: Like, if you follow me.
- 15:19SPEAKER_04: Okay, yeah, but then I just asked you, have you ever seen an ad that you never followed anybody?
- 15:22SPEAKER_04: I've never really seen possible.
- 15:24SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 15:27SPEAKER_04: It never caught my eye.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: It exists.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: It exists.
- 15:29SPEAKER_07: I know it exists.
- 15:29SPEAKER_07: I don't even have it.
- 15:30SPEAKER_07: It exists.
- 15:30SPEAKER_07: I just never seen it personal, I can say.
- 15:34SPEAKER_07: It's just common sense.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like I would see it for like a bank or something.
- 15:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, just randomly.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: I can follow this bank.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I see it for random shit.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: It does exist.
- 15:42SPEAKER_04: And that's what's gonna that's the change in the game.
- 15:44SPEAKER_04: So I just want to know, just to go around the room, are you guys pro or anti-likes?
- 15:47SPEAKER_04: I'm pro.
- 15:48SPEAKER_04: Pro-like.
- 15:48SPEAKER_04: Pro keeping it?
- 15:50SPEAKER_04: No, pro smoking it.
- 15:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:51SPEAKER_04: No, no, no.
- 15:52SPEAKER_04: I'm anti-pro.
- 15:53SPEAKER_04: So you don't want the likes.
- 15:54SPEAKER_04: We want the likes to go.
- 15:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:55SPEAKER_04: Cool.
- 15:55SPEAKER_05: Oh, no, man.
- 15:56SPEAKER_05: I'm man's time.
- 15:57SPEAKER_04: So you want the likes to stay?
- 15:58SPEAKER_05: No, he's not.
- 15:59SPEAKER_05: That's what I'm saying.
- 16:00SPEAKER_05: You just said that.
- 16:02SPEAKER_07: Just say do you want the likes to stay or go?
- 16:06SPEAKER_07: I want the likes to go.
- 16:07SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 16:07SPEAKER_07: Get rid of the likes.
- 16:08SPEAKER_07: We got both.
- 16:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah, get rid of the lights.
- 16:10SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_04: Okay, that's how they feel about it.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: Um, to be honest, I don't obviously I don't I don't think it affects me, like my life.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: I never really cared about the likes.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, I just post pictures.
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: If people like it, cool.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: If not, whatever.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: But um I think just giving because it's just like you have a feed and you post pictures.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: You know, it's just basically it's also like a like a photo album of your life.
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: So you post for likes, pretty much.
- 16:36SPEAKER_05: Like, I yeah, I definitely post.
- 16:38SPEAKER_07: I don't.
- 16:38SPEAKER_07: I think a lot I'm a I am a teaching who on Instagram.
- 16:41SPEAKER_07: I am a thought.
- 16:42SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 16:43SPEAKER_07: So why wouldn't you post Instagram?
- 16:44SPEAKER_07: Because now then I don't have the have that I don't have to be.
- 16:47SPEAKER_03: Now you're not gonna be now you're not gonna be validating.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: Because it seems like you speak validation.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Now then now it's a good thing.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: He said it might help him to become a better person.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think that's better.
- 16:59SPEAKER_07: But nigga, I I'm I think a lot if I post a picture and I and it's legit just named, I get tight.
- 17:04SPEAKER_07: Like, what the fuck?
- 17:05SPEAKER_07: Like, nobody cares for me.
- 17:06SPEAKER_07: Like, think about going on live, right?
- 17:08SPEAKER_07: What if it's a bad thing?
- 17:09SPEAKER_03: But it's also because of the algorithm that they changed it from not being in chronological order, too.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: So not so even with that, they made it harder for people to like your shit.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: That's made it.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: Because you don't know when the fuck people are gonna see it.
- 17:21SPEAKER_03: So, like, that's another point that Nikki brought up.
- 17:24SPEAKER_03: She was like, they did that too, you know, so then the popular posts show up first.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: It wasn't like because then why why would they change it?
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: Everybody hated it, but they still kept it.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: Everybody hated it.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: They still kept it.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: Everything they do is like business obviously uh motivated.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: That's why I'm like removing the likes doesn't really I don't think it's gonna have some like positive impact on people and their social lives.
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: Like it might help some people, I'm not gonna disagree there, but it's like there could be an overarching reason as to why they're removing it.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: That's not so like you know, that's not a great reason.
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: It's just could be a business, you know.
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: Who owns Instagram right now?
- 17:58SPEAKER_04: Facebook.
- 17:58SPEAKER_04: Facebook, yeah.
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: Facebook still has likes?
- 18:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, they have stories, live.
- 18:03SPEAKER_08: But yeah, they had it like they Facebook is Instagram number two.
- 18:07SPEAKER_08: No, but I would say Facebook is Instagram number one.
- 18:10SPEAKER_08: No, but I see what you're saying though.
- 18:11SPEAKER_08: Yeah, because they took all of it, yeah, all of Instagram.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: It's like for older adults, Facebook might be the thing, but for younger people.
- 18:18SPEAKER_08: Facebook has all of Instagram's features.
- 18:20SPEAKER_08: No, it definitely doesn't.
- 18:21SPEAKER_08: When you're on Facebook now, it's the exact same the stories, the the likes, the posts.
- 18:27SPEAKER_08: But then you could also say that Instagram.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: I'm just like never on Facebook anymore, so I don't know.
- 18:33SPEAKER_08: They all bought them.
- 18:34SPEAKER_08: Who bought the same person bought all of them?
- 18:36SPEAKER_08: Facebook got Snapchat too?
- 18:38SPEAKER_08: Why do you think it when you post something, even WhatsApp?
- 18:40SPEAKER_08: Oh, yeah, ask you if you want to shit on Facebook.
- 18:45SPEAKER_08: That's scary.
- 18:45SPEAKER_09: It's all the same companies.
- 18:47SPEAKER_09: Tom bought all of them on my space.
- 18:50SPEAKER_04: You know, all that guy does a photography guy.
- 18:53SPEAKER_04: He just takes pictures and travels the world.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: Tom?
- 18:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:55SPEAKER_05: He's alive.
- 18:57SPEAKER_07: I never knew if he was a real person sitting next to that uh board.
- 19:01SPEAKER_07: Like I always wondered what was that message that was on the chart board that was right next to him.
- 19:05SPEAKER_07: Yeah, you were fronted.
- 19:06SPEAKER_07: That's the last hill saying.
- 19:09SPEAKER_07: It's a hell saying.
- 19:10SPEAKER_07: No, but the crazy part, you would unfriend him by if I know Snapchat, uh, Snapchat isn't owned by thank you.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: He turned it down, the CEO turned it down.
- 19:18SPEAKER_04: Oh, right.
- 19:18SPEAKER_04: So they're still independent?
- 19:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:20SPEAKER_04: So, but then how do they No?
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: That's the other one.
- 19:22SPEAKER_04: What was the other one?
- 19:23SPEAKER_04: Vine.
- 19:23SPEAKER_04: Vine, I think, got bought out by.
- 19:25SPEAKER_04: Vine got bought about Snapchat.
- 19:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:27SPEAKER_04: So Snapchat bought out Vine.
- 19:29SPEAKER_08: And shut them down?
- 19:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I guess that's that's business.
- 19:32SPEAKER_04: TikTok is about to shit on all of that shit.
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: TikTok is technically.
- 19:35SPEAKER_04: What about the other thing?
- 19:38SPEAKER_03: What was the update that Snapchat did?
- 19:40SPEAKER_05: The other one.
- 19:41SPEAKER_03: You know they're under investigation, TikTok.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: Like under federal investigation.
- 19:44SPEAKER_03: It was that appeared.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: Being owned by the Koreans.
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: I don't freaking know, but they're under federal investigation.
- 19:49SPEAKER_05: Bring the feds in.
- 19:52SPEAKER_07: The crazy part about like Facebook, the way their likes is set up, it's not just like just like I tap like.
- 19:58SPEAKER_07: I could also tap like the the like a heart, a laugh, and it that would be my like.
- 20:03SPEAKER_05: Oh what's that new one though?
- 20:06SPEAKER_05: The one that the all the rappers use when they promote a new song.
- 20:09SPEAKER_05: It's TikTok.
- 20:10SPEAKER_05: It's TikTok.
- 20:10SPEAKER_07: Not TikTok.
- 20:12SPEAKER_07: The one when the song's playing and they they do like they're doing.
- 20:14SPEAKER_07: That's not TikTok.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's not.
- 20:17SPEAKER_05: Who wants to bet me?
- 20:18SPEAKER_05: Y'all want to take the another shot out of the book?
- 20:19SPEAKER_05: Tabasco?
- 20:21SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah, we forgot that.
- 20:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but hold on though.
- 20:23SPEAKER_05: Hold on.

- 21:01SPEAKER_03: So, you know, Kylie has a YouTube channel, and then she posted, I guess, a day in her life.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: So she was waking up her daughter, Stormy, and then she sings, she turns on the lights, and then she sings Rise and Shine to her daughter.
- 21:12SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 21:13SPEAKER_03: Um, and then people obviously thought that was hilarious, her voice.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: So they made a whole bunch of memes.
- 21:19SPEAKER_03: That's what I saw was the meme.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: I don't know where it came from.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: And then, like, I guess she remixed it into a song or someone did.
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: And then she put I don't know if she did, because she played it for her daughter.
- 21:27SPEAKER_04: Oh, wow.
- 21:27SPEAKER_03: She played the song for her daughter, her daughter was dancing to it, but then she tells the her daughter's hilarious.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: Her daughter was like, she wants like daddy's song.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: Daddy sing, that's what she was saying.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: Because she was like, she'd rather her, you know, her father's song.
- 21:38SPEAKER_03: Um, but after that, there was reports that she filed for trademark.
- 21:44SPEAKER_03: Um that's smart as fuck.
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: And well, that's what celebrities try to do.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: They try to fucking trademark every goddamn face.
- 21:51SPEAKER_04: So let me ask you a question.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: Have you ever heard the phrase rise and shine before Kylie Jenner?
- 21:55SPEAKER_04: Yes, sir.
- 21:56SPEAKER_04: Okay, so why does Kylie Jenner get the authority to trademark a phrase?
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Or a word that we've all But is she trademarking a word or just a song?
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: No, the phrase, rise and shine.
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: The freeze.
- 22:05SPEAKER_04: There's no way she could win that.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: No, she I think she did, actually.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: No, I don't think she did.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: Okay, thank God.
- 22:10SPEAKER_07: I'm about to say, nigga, you can like if she won, if she won that case, something's up.
- 22:14SPEAKER_07: Because my my mother used to wake me up in the morning, rise and shine.
- 22:17SPEAKER_07: No, I know she didn't.
- 22:18SPEAKER_07: Alright.
- 22:20SPEAKER_07: No, no, no, no, no.
- 22:21SPEAKER_07: Go ahead.

- 22:27SPEAKER_07: No, she never told me Taco Tuesday.
- 22:28SPEAKER_07: Oh, okay.
- 22:28SPEAKER_07: Conveniently for this uh I'm just saying, like, rise and shine.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: Say it just how she used to say it.
- 22:34SPEAKER_07: Rise and shine.
- 22:36SPEAKER_07: Just like that.
- 22:40SPEAKER_07: I wish y'all can see this nigga.
- 22:46SPEAKER_07: Rise and shine, nigga.
- 22:48SPEAKER_04: So, but my problem is we got Rise and Sean.
- 22:52SPEAKER_04: Taco Tuesday from LeBron.

- 22:59SPEAKER_07: Wait, hold on.
- 22:59SPEAKER_07: Hold on.
- 23:00SPEAKER_07: Wait.
- 23:00SPEAKER_07: I personally sent that text by myself.
- 23:02SPEAKER_07: LeBron has trademarked Taco Tuesday for him.
- 23:07SPEAKER_07: Because I was about to say that's the worst one.
- 23:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah, because that came out as the worst one.
- 23:11SPEAKER_07: That came out way before him.
- 23:14SPEAKER_04: So what about what it does, baby?
- 23:16SPEAKER_04: He has the most argument.
- 23:20SPEAKER_04: Paul Wall said it first.
- 23:21SPEAKER_04: What?
- 23:22SPEAKER_04: What a dude, baby.
- 23:23SPEAKER_04: It's an iceman Paul Wall.
- 23:27SPEAKER_07: What?
- 23:28SPEAKER_07: I feel like he's trying to trade more.
- 23:30SPEAKER_07: What a dude, baby.
- 23:31SPEAKER_07: Come on.
- 23:34SPEAKER_07: We thought Paul Wall came out with that.
- 23:36SPEAKER_05: Paul Grandma told him you let Paul Wall get that one.
- 23:39SPEAKER_07: No, but I'm saying that.
- 23:41SPEAKER_07: That's the first time I've ever heard that one.
- 23:43SPEAKER_07: What a dude, baby, is the Iceman Paul Wall.
- 23:45SPEAKER_07: That's the first time I've ever heard.
- 23:47SPEAKER_07: I don't.
- 23:48SPEAKER_08: You know, because Obama says what it does.
- 23:53SPEAKER_08: That's just a heard of the mega.
- 23:55SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 23:56SPEAKER_04: What it do, absolutely.
- 23:57SPEAKER_07: What it do, baby.
- 23:59SPEAKER_07: He said it different.
- 24:00SPEAKER_07: I feel like it's the way he said it.
- 24:03SPEAKER_07: No, he can't.
- 24:03SPEAKER_07: What it do, baby.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: You can't trademark the way you say something.
- 24:07SPEAKER_04: He didn't try to make that a thing.
- 24:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 24:09SPEAKER_04: He didn't offshoot video.
- 24:11SPEAKER_04: You know who says it too?
- 24:12SPEAKER_04: Uh Serge Backer has like a cooking show on YouTube, and he says the same shit.
- 24:16SPEAKER_04: Everybody down there.
- 24:16SPEAKER_05: He was in that video.
- 24:18SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 24:19SPEAKER_05: I just thought it was a funny video.
- 24:21SPEAKER_05: I don't think it's fair that celebrities.
- 24:23SPEAKER_04: What it do?
- 24:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so go try to trademark that.
- 24:26SPEAKER_04: That's my point.
- 24:26SPEAKER_04: Kylie tried to trademark her name at one point.
- 24:28SPEAKER_04: She lost out on that.
- 24:30SPEAKER_04: I I think this is just getting it.
- 24:31SPEAKER_07: You can't trademark your full government name.
- 24:33SPEAKER_04: Nah, I think she just wanted to do Kylie.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: Kylie.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: But there was a singer also named Kylie who um who um I forget what it's called, but I guess whatever.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: Either way, she just um fought against it.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: Um I'm not sure she won the lawsuit for it.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: Maybe she did, maybe she did.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: But either way, Kylie didn't win it.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: She's a singer who's who's older than Kylie who's older than Kylie.
- 24:56SPEAKER_07: If I trademark my whole government, because I don't think supposedly Sarah Palin, too.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: She was denied her trademark of her name.
- 25:01SPEAKER_07: The full name?
- 25:02SPEAKER_07: No, the well Sarah Palin.
- 25:06SPEAKER_07: I don't think I ever heard anybody else with my last name except for in my family.
- 25:09SPEAKER_04: First of all, I'll search your name and there's a lot of Darius Prescott out there.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: Spelled the same way I absolutely.
- 25:14SPEAKER_04: I was looking for your mugshot.
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: I don't think there's anybody with the name spelled like exactly like mine.
- 25:19SPEAKER_04: Oh, you think you have one?
- 25:21SPEAKER_07: I never see I never seen.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: Because I got my Gmail.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: If you get your Gmail, your full Gmail name, not including your middle name, that means that you're you're good.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: That means I like.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I got my first and last name.
- 25:31SPEAKER_04: We could do this.
- 25:37SPEAKER_04: No, it is a 5,000 in Jamaica.
- 25:39SPEAKER_04: We're gonna have to delete his name because I said his full government on here.
- 25:42SPEAKER_04: My bad.
- 25:44SPEAKER_03: There was a name, there was a name that I was thinking of.
- 25:46SPEAKER_03: Like, let's say if we have a daughter in the future.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: And I saw it in the credits of a movie.
- 25:50SPEAKER_03: I'm like, God damn it.
- 25:52SPEAKER_04: That's dope.
- 25:53SPEAKER_03: Like, damn it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_04: So um Oprah's name is trademarked?
- 25:59SPEAKER_04: Gotta be.
- 25:59SPEAKER_07: I don't know nobody else.
- 26:00SPEAKER_07: I never heard anybody else saying that.
- 26:01SPEAKER_04: She had a network named Oprah.
- 26:03SPEAKER_07: But that doesn't mean that this in existence.
- 26:05SPEAKER_04: There's definitely another Oprah somewhere.
- 26:10SPEAKER_07: But that's what I'm trying to say.
- 26:12SPEAKER_07: If there's another Oprah, can't I fight that?
- 26:14SPEAKER_07: Yo, you can't trademark the name because I also have the same thing.
- 26:17SPEAKER_04: Yes, that's exactly what the other Kylie said.
- 26:19SPEAKER_04: So how can nobody for you?
- 26:20SPEAKER_04: You have to have the money.
- 26:20SPEAKER_04: You gotta have the monies, dog.
- 26:24SPEAKER_04: It was a lawsuit.
- 26:24SPEAKER_04: It was a lawsuit.
- 26:26SPEAKER_07: But I don't say mine.
- 26:27SPEAKER_07: Alright, so you wouldn't you trademark the name, right?
- 26:30SPEAKER_07: What does that do for you?
- 26:31SPEAKER_07: Yes, you can still use it.
- 26:32SPEAKER_07: Because if I trademark something, anytime you use it, you have to pay me, correct?
- 26:36SPEAKER_07: Anytime you use it, I need to make money.
- 26:38SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 26:38SPEAKER_07: So if I open up a business under my name with my name Oprah, I gotta pay her?
- 26:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 26:44SPEAKER_07: That's stupid.
- 26:45SPEAKER_07: You need permission.
- 26:47SPEAKER_07: You would need permission, yeah.
- 26:48SPEAKER_07: Yeah, if she doesn't give you permission.
- 26:50SPEAKER_07: That would be stupid because I'm gonna open, let's say, a cookie shop under my name.
- 26:54SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but it doesn't work.
- 26:55SPEAKER_07: Like the fuck?
- 26:57SPEAKER_07: Open cookie shop.
- 26:58SPEAKER_08: That's what happens when you don't live in your own world, man.
- 27:00SPEAKER_04: Some fucking bullshit.
- 27:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's it's just the way the law works.
- 27:03SPEAKER_04: And what do you do?
- 27:07SPEAKER_04: This is what's cook shop.
- 27:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like you get what I'm saying?
- 27:10SPEAKER_07: But that's really my government name.
- 27:13SPEAKER_07: Your government name isn't Derek.
- 27:14SPEAKER_07: No, but what do you mean?
- 27:16SPEAKER_07: Your government name is the whole thing.
- 27:20SPEAKER_07: I'm telling you, that's how it works.
- 27:22SPEAKER_07: It's the whole thing.
- 27:23SPEAKER_07: Alright, so I'm gonna name my daughter Oprah Winfrey, and I'm gonna tell her Oprah Oprah Winfrey thing.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: Why do you think celebrities name their kids crazy as shit so they can trademark them?
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: What?
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: Come on.
- 27:33SPEAKER_03: I didn't even think Beyonce trademarked blue Ivy Carter like right after they're gonna be able to get it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_05: I thought they were crazy.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: Right after they were born.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: And I'm pretty sure Kylie did the same thing with Stormy.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: Probably.
- 27:42SPEAKER_03: It's like you name them these things.
- 27:43SPEAKER_03: That way you don't have legal issues when you try to trademark.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: That's how I rationalize it.
- 27:48SPEAKER_04: That's actually intelligent.
- 27:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah, because I just thought they was crazy.
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: Because yeah, I'm talking about.
- 27:52SPEAKER_07: Nah, but see, like blue ivy carter.
- 27:55SPEAKER_07: That's all right.
- 27:55SPEAKER_07: You ain't gonna say what's the twins' name, sir?
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: How you gonna trademark?
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: Nah, I didn't even know.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: How are you gonna trademark?
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Roomy, roomy, R-U-M-I.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: Roomy.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Room me.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: Hey, fucking dairy.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: What the fuck?
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: At least they ain't gotta put their names on no resume.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: No, exactly.
- 28:14SPEAKER_03: That's why obviously they didn't give a shit.
- 28:16SPEAKER_03: Their kids were gonna live like a normal life anyway.
- 28:18SPEAKER_05: So my mama had to consider me being on a resume one day.
- 28:22SPEAKER_05: Of course.
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: My parents ain't gonna fucking fuck my whole life up.
- 28:25unknown: Come on.
- 28:25SPEAKER_05: You can call for job, sir.
- 28:28SPEAKER_03: How do you pronounce that?
- 28:30SPEAKER_04: I don't even, I just give them my initials now.
- 28:32SPEAKER_04: They just called me my last name.
- 28:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, everybody knows him as his last name.
- 28:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:37SPEAKER_04: He has three first names.
- 28:40SPEAKER_08: Bro, we're gonna leave them off a hair.
- 28:41SPEAKER_07: Hold on.
- 28:42SPEAKER_07: You watch like the family few like snippets when they be on like integrated.
- 28:45SPEAKER_07: Did you see the one with the Avant guy named Obu?
- 28:48SPEAKER_05: Oh, his three, yeah.
- 28:49SPEAKER_07: His name was Obu Obu Obu.
- 28:52SPEAKER_07: Like Obi U, right?
- 28:53SPEAKER_07: That's some regular Africans.
- 28:54SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 28:55SPEAKER_07: But then when they went to his father, what's your name?
- 28:57SPEAKER_07: Obu Obu Obu.
- 28:59SPEAKER_07: How the fuck I know who I'm calling?
- 29:01SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 29:02SPEAKER_07: Not even no junior or senior.
- 29:04SPEAKER_07: Bro, he's a wee kid named Obu.
- 29:07SPEAKER_07: Obu.
- 29:08SPEAKER_07: It's a lithium.
- 29:09SPEAKER_05: That's some lazy shit.
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: Now sometimes people switch up one letter, like let's say Obu, that'd be Osu or O T.
- 29:15SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but my whole thing is if I walk at the house, Obu, all I'm gonna answer is.
- 29:19SPEAKER_07: Everybody.
- 29:21SPEAKER_08: You ever wrapped your mind around this?
- 29:24SPEAKER_08: Certain places in Africa, uh, your your name, like when they write it down, like it'll be Obu, Obu, Obu.
- 29:30SPEAKER_08: That's like the beginning of their name.
- 29:31SPEAKER_08: They got some obu obu ungatu gatu.
- 29:34SPEAKER_08: Doesn't Econ have like 60 seconds.
- 29:36SPEAKER_08: No disrespect.
- 29:36SPEAKER_08: No disrespect.
- 29:37SPEAKER_08: That's the Kembe Matombo.
- 29:38SPEAKER_08: Oh, the Kenby Matombo.
- 29:40SPEAKER_08: They have long ass names, so they probably just giving you the family name.
- 29:43SPEAKER_08: Like y'all from here.
- 29:45SPEAKER_08: That's the first couple uh the first over the first couple names he pronounced.
- 29:49SPEAKER_07: Well, on his actual state idea with just obu obu obu with the one.
- 29:53SPEAKER_07: You can't you ain't see.
- 29:54SPEAKER_07: He said he showed it to Steve Harvey.
- 29:56SPEAKER_07: And Steve Harvey looked at that.
- 29:57SPEAKER_07: I'll be goddamn nigga.
- 29:59SPEAKER_07: Did you not watch that?
- 30:00SPEAKER_05: You know I gotta call you out on some shit, too.
- 30:01SPEAKER_05: You know, you wanna pull a clip up?
- 30:04SPEAKER_07: You wanna pull the clip?
- 30:04SPEAKER_07: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 30:07SPEAKER_07: Let's bet something.
- 30:08SPEAKER_07: You want to pull a clip up?
- 30:10SPEAKER_04: Basco shots is the only thing we bet on this podcast.
- 30:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, nobody knows that.
- 30:13SPEAKER_07: 50 tobacco shots.
- 30:14SPEAKER_05: But Chubbs is a lie, but Chubb's a liar.
- 30:17SPEAKER_05: Chubbs told me in 2K if you wait long enough after the game is over, you get the game ball.
- 30:22SPEAKER_05: I've never seen that shit.
- 30:29SPEAKER_05: Everybody plays with me.
- 30:33SPEAKER_04: You told us that they gave it to somebody else one time.
- 30:35SPEAKER_07: Nigga, in the cutscene, not in part.
- 30:38SPEAKER_07: No, I've never said that.
- 30:39SPEAKER_07: So what are you talking about?
- 30:40SPEAKER_07: I'm talking about after the game is over.
- 30:43SPEAKER_07: You never played during the game and then the coke comes in the locker room.
- 30:47SPEAKER_07: It's not after every game.
- 30:50SPEAKER_07: Next time it happened to me, I'm I'm gonna record a clip.
- 30:52SPEAKER_07: Anyways.
- 30:54SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna play the player and I'm gonna I'm gonna record the clip when that happens.
- 30:57SPEAKER_04: Speaking of celebrities and their children, their parenting and all of that.
- 31:00SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 31:00SPEAKER_04: Um, Toon, you had us teach us about what happened with YG and his daughter.
- 31:04SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's good.
- 31:05SPEAKER_04: So YG, one of the realest rappers out there.
- 31:07SPEAKER_05: Is he?
- 31:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean he may not be a great parent to some people, but so he was in a I can't tell what room, the house he was in, or exactly where he was at.
- 31:16SPEAKER_05: But his he goes into a drawer and and I guess he had a big, well, I don't guess he actually had a big bag of weed in there, and his daughter picks it up and he asks his daughter, What is that?
- 31:26SPEAKER_05: And it's in innocently his daughter says broccoli.
- 31:31SPEAKER_05: But she smells it wrong.
- 31:32SPEAKER_05: She's talking about the weed.
- 31:34SPEAKER_05: And he says to her, he says to her, What does it smell like?
- 31:37SPEAKER_05: She smells it, and then she says again, broccoli.
- 31:41SPEAKER_05: And after after that uh that uh that clip surfaced, everybody was pissed at YG.
- 31:48SPEAKER_03: Well, he posted on his Instagram stories.
- 31:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he actually he took it down.
- 31:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he took it down, he took it down.
- 31:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I seen it on the shaving.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he commented.
- 31:55SPEAKER_03: What did he comment?
- 31:57SPEAKER_05: Oh, he commented that it was uh marathon OG.
- 32:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I thought that was a great comment, by the way.
- 32:04SPEAKER_05: Shout out, Nip.
- 32:06SPEAKER_05: But um, which you was gonna ask me how I feel about it, or I guess yeah, he brought it up to uh how do we all feel about it, honestly?
- 32:14SPEAKER_04: Uh can I go first?
- 32:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, please.
- 32:16SPEAKER_04: Um I don't like to judge people's parenting, even with the whole TI topic.
- 32:20SPEAKER_04: But when it comes to marijuana, he is the most harsh critic in the world.
- 32:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he basically subjected his daughter to a life of her death.
- 32:30SPEAKER_04: You gotta see her face.
- 32:31SPEAKER_05: She does have the most innocent face I've ever seen before.
- 32:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I don't like to judge uh parenting because you know, we all you know are gonna parent differently.
- 32:39SPEAKER_04: We're all gonna agree and disagree on certain things.
- 32:41SPEAKER_04: I personally don't see anything wrong with it because I'd rather my child be in my home and you know, explore the the world.
- 32:48SPEAKER_04: I was like, why post it?
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: Um that's where you know, like why do people feel the need to post?
- 32:54SPEAKER_04: It's just the era that we live in.
- 32:56SPEAKER_04: Like, we speak about it all the time that you know we don't we that's our way of interacting.
- 33:00SPEAKER_04: I guess instead of him telling his homies about it, like, oh, look at this funny shit that my daughter, me and my daughter like experienced.
- 33:05SPEAKER_08: The gratification is like so necessary.
- 33:07SPEAKER_08: Oh, she's so innocent.
- 33:09SPEAKER_04: He wanted to show the world, I guess, which I can't it is the likes.
- 33:13SPEAKER_04: I don't think it was in his story, it was in like it was in his story, yeah.
- 33:17SPEAKER_07: It was the gratification of oh, this could get me potential foot traffic.
- 33:23SPEAKER_04: I don't I don't think it's that.
- 33:24SPEAKER_04: I just think it's a moment that he wanted to share.
- 33:26SPEAKER_04: He thought it was funny.
- 33:27SPEAKER_04: In this era, that's how we shared things.
- 33:28SPEAKER_04: Before it was a Polaroid or a home video that you show at a home video that now every fucking thought is just reeled onto the internet.
- 33:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I don't I don't think it was uh I don't think it was harmful.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: I think it was I didn't see it, but I think from what you described, yeah.
- 33:42SPEAKER_04: You know, I don't have Instagram.
- 33:43SPEAKER_04: I'm surprised it didn't make his way too.
- 33:47SPEAKER_08: I know AG got some sort of Instagram.
- 33:48SPEAKER_04: I don't, I'm telling you, bro.
- 33:49SPEAKER_05: I promise a little bit.
- 33:55SPEAKER_07: Shit like that.
- 33:56SPEAKER_07: I don't I don't know.
- 33:56SPEAKER_04: He did post a little bit.
- 33:58SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, you have to be into it to Instagram.
- 34:00SPEAKER_03: If not, like there's no point.
- 34:01SPEAKER_04: I just I I think it was it was cool.
- 34:03SPEAKER_04: Um I don't see why.
- 34:04SPEAKER_04: Well, what were people saying about it though?
- 34:06SPEAKER_04: Like, what were they doing?
- 34:06SPEAKER_05: They was just disgusted.
- 34:07SPEAKER_05: Uh call what was it, what's the the child services people?
- 34:11SPEAKER_05: I work for them, I work for them.
- 34:12SPEAKER_05: It's like this is disgusting.
- 34:14SPEAKER_05: Uh you know basically just fashion, huh?
- 34:16SPEAKER_07: But the funny part is he's in a state where marijuana's legal.
- 34:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but she's not eating.
- 34:21SPEAKER_07: No, no, I'm I'm just saying he's allowed to have it.
- 34:23SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 34:24SPEAKER_07: That's one.
- 34:25SPEAKER_07: And in my opinion, I would rather my child at that young age grow up saying it's broccoli, whatever it is.
- 34:31SPEAKER_07: Because guess what?
- 34:32SPEAKER_07: She's gonna see me use it as her father, and now when I put broccoli on her fucking plate, she's gonna fucking eat.
- 34:38SPEAKER_07: I think that's nigga had me.
- 34:40SPEAKER_05: He had me up into the broccoli on her plate.
- 34:43SPEAKER_05: What the fuck?
- 34:44SPEAKER_05: I give her broccoli, she's gonna be like, sounding the most logical I don't know.
- 34:47SPEAKER_07: She's gonna be like, she's gonna be some or some shit.
- 34:51SPEAKER_07: Daddy likes broccoli, so I gotta be like my daddy.
- 34:53SPEAKER_07: But daddy smokes it.
- 34:54SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:55SPEAKER_07: Why she might I don't know.
- 34:58SPEAKER_07: Then at that point, I done fucked up.
- 35:02SPEAKER_07: But I'd rather her say it's broccoli because God forbid somebody come.
- 35:04SPEAKER_07: What's it broccoli?
- 35:05SPEAKER_07: No, because what is it?
- 35:06SPEAKER_07: Cover up for daddy.
- 35:07SPEAKER_07: You're not home.
- 35:08SPEAKER_07: She's gonna be high.
- 35:10SPEAKER_07: Nah, that's your child, girl.
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: Because one, is he smoking near her?
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: Nah, closest other because like why would you show it to her?
- 35:18SPEAKER_07: It's my house.
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: She's a five.
- 35:20SPEAKER_07: She's a five-year-old.
- 35:21SPEAKER_07: Because it stays in my house until you make it public.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: Cause no, you guys talk about like, oh, yeah, I don't want your kids to be exposed to like same-sex couples on TV.
- 35:30SPEAKER_03: But then it's okay for her to see a bag of fucking weed.
- 35:33SPEAKER_05: Yes, but then it's okay.
- 35:35SPEAKER_05: That's a good argument, though.
- 35:36SPEAKER_05: No, I'm pretty sure.
- 35:37SPEAKER_05: I don't like whatever tagged.
- 35:38SPEAKER_05: I'm pretty sure she the the child has probably seen some of his music videos where he's smoking.
- 35:43SPEAKER_05: She probably asked.
- 35:44SPEAKER_05: So when he's in the house and like he's probably just told her, like, you know what?
- 35:48SPEAKER_05: That's Brock.
- 35:49SPEAKER_05: How old is this kid?
- 35:50SPEAKER_08: This is my brock.
- 35:51SPEAKER_05: She looks less than five.
- 35:52SPEAKER_05: Like it's a baby.
- 35:53SPEAKER_05: She's not gonna remember.
- 35:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, she's gonna be a little bit more than a little bit.
- 35:54SPEAKER_08: Yeah, yeah, that's like I said.
- 35:57SPEAKER_07: My house.
- 35:58SPEAKER_08: I don't think anything's changing in that household.
- 36:00SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 36:01SPEAKER_05: And I mean it wasn't like it was loose.
- 36:02SPEAKER_05: The bag was tied up.
- 36:04SPEAKER_05: Like probably vacuum sealed every day.
- 36:06SPEAKER_05: Nah, it wasn't vacuum sealed.
- 36:07SPEAKER_05: It definitely looks like a vacuum.
- 36:08SPEAKER_05: It was just a bag, though.
- 36:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it was just a bag.
- 36:10SPEAKER_04: I mean, the drugs and kids is always a touchy situation.
- 36:14SPEAKER_04: And I know there's people gonna make the counter-argument, like, oh, what if it was a gun?
- 36:17SPEAKER_04: Y'all would have been okay with it?
- 36:18SPEAKER_04: If it was an electricity, that's a that's a different story.
- 36:20SPEAKER_04: Why?
- 36:20SPEAKER_05: Well, somebody did do that before, but remember.
- 36:24SPEAKER_08: Yeah, the comparison would just be Tylenol.
- 36:26SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like you gotta think about like this.
- 36:29SPEAKER_07: If a child gets his hand on a gun and use it the wrong way.
- 36:32SPEAKER_04: No, no, but what if I'm teaching my child like, yo, this is dangerous?
- 36:34SPEAKER_04: So even when I'm not around, marijuana's not a lethal weapon that could kill you right now.
- 36:38SPEAKER_04: So it's not.
- 36:43SPEAKER_07: But hold on, yeah, because I was about to say, I sort of understand that point from the gun, too.
- 36:47SPEAKER_04: Like, but obviously you lock it up, but I think I said I would rather know my child knows.
- 36:53SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 36:56SPEAKER_04: That's a gun.
- 36:57SPEAKER_04: We don't fuck with that.
- 36:58SPEAKER_07: Yep.
- 37:00SPEAKER_07: I think I said you, the guy that was pro-black, that basically taught his daughter how to assemble a gun because they was living in a tattoos on his face?
- 37:08SPEAKER_05: I don't know if he's gonna be a good one.
- 37:10SPEAKER_05: It wasn't like a white state.
- 37:11SPEAKER_07: And he had guns in the house, and it wasn't like a predominantly white state.
- 37:14SPEAKER_07: So he taught his daughter, like, listen, anybody comes in the house, you gotta know how to basically assemble it and everything.
- 37:18SPEAKER_07: He taught he made her do it regularly.
- 37:19SPEAKER_04: How the fuck would she have to know how to assemble a gun?
- 37:22SPEAKER_07: Because he had like You gotta clean them when you have clean them and everything when you have them.
- 37:25SPEAKER_07: So hold on.
- 37:26SPEAKER_07: You gotta have, you gotta have that.
- 37:27SPEAKER_07: Yeah, when you have a gun, you're not supposed to keep the ammo in the gun.
- 37:30SPEAKER_08: No, no, no.
- 37:31SPEAKER_08: I want his uh question.
- 37:32SPEAKER_04: So uh white supremacists coming to my house.
- 37:34SPEAKER_04: First thing I gotta do is clean the gun.
- 37:36SPEAKER_04: No, no, no.
- 37:36SPEAKER_04: You don't have to keep the gun.
- 37:38SPEAKER_04: Why do I need to learn that first?
- 37:40SPEAKER_04: Uh apocalypse.
- 37:41SPEAKER_08: So when that person comes onto your property, right?
- 37:45SPEAKER_08: And your daughter reaches for the gun and the gun jams.
- 37:47SPEAKER_08: What do you do?
- 37:48SPEAKER_04: She's dead at that point.
- 37:49SPEAKER_08: Right, so you wouldn't know what to do.
- 37:51SPEAKER_08: She would know, alright, I got four minutes before this dude comes up the stairs.
- 37:55SPEAKER_08: I can clean this shit out, get this trigger working, and I ain't gotta go for the other stats that's across the house.
- 37:59SPEAKER_08: I got it.
- 38:00SPEAKER_08: Bang, bang, got him.
- 38:01SPEAKER_07: But yeah, so he basically made her do it blind, he made her do it regular, timed her, made her do it blindfold, timed her, and then she said, alright, this is the speed run.
- 38:08SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I think I asked.
- 38:10SPEAKER_07: That's excessive.
- 38:11SPEAKER_07: And she didn't.
- 38:12SPEAKER_07: That's excessive as fuck.
- 38:13SPEAKER_07: She did it blindfolded, and it was like some ridiculous number.
- 38:16SPEAKER_05: Every black family that was doing it's a hundred white people.
- 38:20SPEAKER_05: So we gotta get rid of it.
- 38:22SPEAKER_04: Y'all clean the gun.
- 38:23SPEAKER_04: No.
- 38:23SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna be with my own.
- 38:24SPEAKER_04: He was in a state where you're allowed to be all.
- 38:28SPEAKER_07: I think it's crazy.
- 38:29SPEAKER_08: No, but it's like the child of the child.
- 38:32SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 38:35SPEAKER_07: Everyone, everybody was bashing him, but he's like, God forbid, I'm not home one day and somebody breaks into the house.
- 38:40SPEAKER_07: No, I understand his law.
- 38:41SPEAKER_07: I don't think I disagree.
- 38:42SPEAKER_03: I don't think I disagree with that.
- 38:44SPEAKER_03: Obviously, because you're there, they have parental supervision, you're showing them what it is, what it does, why to do what it's set up.
- 38:54SPEAKER_05: Yes, yes.
- 38:55SPEAKER_03: What it do?
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: So I definitely I definitely think that's that's good.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: Um, it's just like obviously you just have to lock it up in a place where they can't reach him.
- 39:03SPEAKER_04: I think I think that's pretty sound parental parental.
- 39:06SPEAKER_07: I was like, yo, he trained her well to clean a gun.
- 39:10SPEAKER_07: That's what I'm starting with.
- 39:11SPEAKER_07: That's impressive.
- 39:12SPEAKER_07: That's impressive.
- 39:14SPEAKER_04: So you gotta use it.
- 39:17SPEAKER_05: I wish I knew how to clean this shit up.
- 39:22SPEAKER_08: I'm dead while I'm dead.
- 39:24SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go.
- 39:27SPEAKER_08: Come on, come on.
- 39:29SPEAKER_08: You see looking into the bar, like, I'm gonna do the protocol of the nigga at that point.
- 39:35SPEAKER_07: That nigga gonna clean your gun.
- 39:41SPEAKER_07: Kill me with my gun.
- 39:42SPEAKER_07: I deserve to go either way.
- 39:44SPEAKER_07: Nigga, jam gun out.
- 39:46SPEAKER_07: That nigga gonna be like, oh, this nigga is stupid.
- 39:49SPEAKER_05: Oh, yep.
- 39:51SPEAKER_04: A cutlass don't jam, a fucking bat don't jam.
- 39:54SPEAKER_04: How about that?
- 39:55SPEAKER_07: Shit, nigga does these does a two-piece.
- 39:57SPEAKER_07: Nigga, I ain't gonna I ain't gonna lie.
- 39:58SPEAKER_07: You ever see niggas take bat hits nowadays?
- 40:03SPEAKER_07: Those people have been around forever.
- 40:04SPEAKER_07: You have you seen it?
- 40:06SPEAKER_07: Bro, what was it?
- 40:08SPEAKER_07: About maybe three or four months ago.
- 40:10SPEAKER_07: I saw that shit on Instagram.
- 40:11SPEAKER_07: A guy got joined with somebody with the biggest.
- 40:14SPEAKER_08: Yeah, here we go.
- 40:15SPEAKER_07: And legit cracked the dude across like right across his uh bicep, bicep with a bat, and the wooden bat just broke, and the guy just looked at him like he felt that to the morning.
- 40:27SPEAKER_07: It just hit him, knocked the dude out.
- 40:28SPEAKER_07: I'm like, damn.
- 40:29SPEAKER_07: That was a adrenaline.
- 40:30SPEAKER_07: I don't ever want to get into a fellowship.
- 40:32SPEAKER_07: I use a bat.
- 40:32SPEAKER_07: That shit break it.
- 40:33SPEAKER_07: A nigga turned around and knocked me out?
- 40:34SPEAKER_07: No.
- 40:37SPEAKER_07: Are you tricocaine?
- 40:39SPEAKER_08: Never.
- 40:39SPEAKER_07: Oh, he thought he had a friend.
- 40:41SPEAKER_07: He thought he had a tricky.
- 40:42SPEAKER_07: That's what the nigga just said, just like cocaine.
- 40:45SPEAKER_04: Alright, um, so let's let's move it along.
- 40:47SPEAKER_04: Um, before we get into like, you know, uh cooler topics about relationships or friendships, I want to start off with some you know political banter.
- 40:55SPEAKER_04: Um can we talk about Kanye West and his uh presidency candidacy in 2022?
- 41:01SPEAKER_08: Kanye for 2024 president.
- 41:05SPEAKER_08: Absolutely not.
- 41:06SPEAKER_05: What is he running as a Republican?
- 41:08SPEAKER_05: Probably I mean that would be Rob Budley.
- 41:13SPEAKER_08: It's easier.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: It's easier to run.
- 41:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so uh not for it.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: There's too many freaking.
- 41:17SPEAKER_07: I don't see too much fucked up shit in power about people running for president.
- 41:22SPEAKER_07: Wait, so power is nobody's gonna be able to do it.
- 41:25SPEAKER_03: It's just the kind of fucking worms that Trump opened by winning is ridiculous.
- 41:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: They have to change that up.
- 41:31SPEAKER_03: You need some fucking qualifications to be president.
- 41:38SPEAKER_08: Age is the only criteria.
- 41:40SPEAKER_04: You have to be a no, you're supposed to actually hold a um uh uh off uh office position, like some kind of lower level, like a Senate or some kind of state office position, but Donald Trump didn't do that.
- 41:51SPEAKER_04: So I don't I don't know like how hard.
- 41:53SPEAKER_04: Like I guess the age rule is the only one that they're really strict on.
- 41:56SPEAKER_04: Because Donald Trump definitely did not hold any political office on any level.
- 42:00SPEAKER_08: I think that's the only one he couldn't break.
- 42:01SPEAKER_08: He's like, fuck, I got away.
- 42:03SPEAKER_04: And you have to be an American-born person.
- 42:05SPEAKER_04: If you want to become governor or something, you can be from a different uh country, like uh determinator.
- 42:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, imagine he ran for president.
- 42:12SPEAKER_04: No, he can't.
- 42:13SPEAKER_05: He wasn't born here.
- 42:14SPEAKER_05: He just told you that.
- 42:15SPEAKER_07: I mean like I literally forcing that one rule on Trump, which is let's say we have let's say we have five rules.
- 42:23SPEAKER_07: I think they gotta enforce that one.
- 42:25SPEAKER_07: Let's say we have five rules.
- 42:26SPEAKER_07: Yes, sir.
- 42:26SPEAKER_07: Right?
- 42:27SPEAKER_07: They let one slide for Trump.
- 42:29SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 42:29SPEAKER_07: Can't he make the argument that I got the other four?
- 42:31SPEAKER_07: You gotta let this one slide for.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: No, because that's like one of the most important ones.
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I would say that is.
- 42:36SPEAKER_03: You are a natural born citizen of this country because you're not a foreigner.
- 42:39SPEAKER_04: And you know, Americans are very paranoid about foreign entities, so they're immediately gonna think like, oh, this dude's gonna become president and change our whole way of life because he's not an American.
- 42:47SPEAKER_08: All the enemy has to be a good thing.
- 42:48SPEAKER_08: Look how hard they were going with freaking Obama over here.
- 42:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Trump was like the number one guy with the whole Obama I need to see his birthday.
- 42:55SPEAKER_04: And he was trying to say Obama is actually Kenya.
- 42:57SPEAKER_04: And Obama was born in Hawaii, which I was just saying.
- 43:02SPEAKER_07: Um so yeah.
- 43:03SPEAKER_07: You d you you when that was going on, did you not take it now that you see what's going on now, did you take it?
- 43:09SPEAKER_07: Because I took it as a certain way that the reason why he was doing all that to get a bar is because he was gonna run.
- 43:14SPEAKER_07: That's what I got.
- 43:15SPEAKER_07: I took it as racism.
- 43:16SPEAKER_04: I I it definitely came across as a lot of racism.
- 43:19SPEAKER_04: That's what I took.
- 43:20SPEAKER_07: I took it as he basically gave his name in the media.
- 43:23SPEAKER_04: Oh, Trump?
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, his name was ready in the media.
- 43:25SPEAKER_04: Donald Trump.
- 43:26SPEAKER_07: No, I'm saying like putting it out there, like building the whole forefront for like that office shit, the presidency, so that he became the president after.
- 43:34SPEAKER_04: I honestly don't think he had a plan to become president.
- 43:38SPEAKER_04: I think he had a plan to run, and I think he was gonna run, lose, sell a book, the apprentice is gonna do another two hundred million people because they wanted to watch the guy who was almost president running a fucking T V show.
- 43:49SPEAKER_04: I think he really won by mistake.
- 43:52SPEAKER_08: It was like oh shit.
- 43:53SPEAKER_08: What do we do now?
- 43:56SPEAKER_05: I went to sleep before the uh the results came out.
- 44:00SPEAKER_05: Hillary was gonna win.
- 44:00SPEAKER_05: I woke up.
- 44:01SPEAKER_05: I know.
- 44:01SPEAKER_05: I mean same, same.
- 44:03SPEAKER_03: I was tired, and that could I couldn't.
- 44:05SPEAKER_05: I went asleep and then I woke up.
- 44:07SPEAKER_03: It might have been like really early, and I was like, fuck.
- 44:09SPEAKER_03: Because my mom was like really adamant about registering everybody.
- 44:14SPEAKER_08: Everyone we knew got a call.
- 44:17SPEAKER_03: Mind you, like we said, New York is not like the obviously the greatest state to we had that discussion with the lady in Manhattan.
- 44:23SPEAKER_07: Because we know it's a Democratic city, so yo, that had to be one of the smartest conversations I've had with an older person of like a white descent.
- 44:34SPEAKER_07: Like a whole conversation.
- 44:38SPEAKER_07: I don't even know where we went or how that conversation happened.
- 44:42SPEAKER_07: We was in some part of Manhattan.
- 44:43SPEAKER_04: It was after one of the oh, before one of two shows.
- 44:46SPEAKER_07: She came out of the st her store and she was legit talking to us like, yo, Trump is fucking up the country.
- 44:53SPEAKER_07: Everybody got to vote, this and third.
- 44:55SPEAKER_07: Like what a lot of people don't realize is there's small elections where you can vote to basically get him out and he can't do this.
- 45:00SPEAKER_07: And I was looking at her having this conversation.
- 45:02SPEAKER_07: I'm like, do you know you're white?
- 45:05SPEAKER_07: What does that mean?
- 45:06SPEAKER_07: Like, I'm just not used to a white person being against Trump.
- 45:09SPEAKER_07: No, no, you just hang around the white people that fuck with Trump.
- 45:12SPEAKER_07: There are a lot of Democrats.
- 45:13SPEAKER_08: I was about to say Dominicans.
- 45:16SPEAKER_03: Remember, remember, there's another 40 There's another 47% of white women that didn't vote for Trump.
- 45:22SPEAKER_05: That's how that's I mean he is a jackass.
- 45:24SPEAKER_05: He is a jackass.
- 45:25SPEAKER_05: Come on, that nigga look like the thing for Fantastic Fool.
- 45:29SPEAKER_03: A lot of people are ashamed, obviously.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: Like, white some white people are ashamed.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: This is my problem, man.
- 45:34SPEAKER_04: Black people fucked with Trump before he became president.
- 45:37SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 45:37SPEAKER_04: Like yo, everybody didn't think the man.
- 45:40SPEAKER_04: That's that's my issue.
- 45:41SPEAKER_04: It's because we always give these people like an end to our culture and we allow them.
- 45:46SPEAKER_04: And this is with the fucking Central Park 5 shit still.
- 45:48SPEAKER_04: Like it happened.
- 45:49SPEAKER_04: And black people still fucked with Trump.
- 45:52SPEAKER_04: They just stopped fucking with him because of.
- 45:53SPEAKER_04: You didn't know about that shit.
- 45:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that that's the thing.
- 45:55SPEAKER_04: A lot of people didn't know, which is my problem with with our people is that we don't do enough research like how we all fuck with uh Bill Clinton and them because he got heading over all of us, but he's the one that we that has that fucking crazy ass crime bill under his uh candidacy.
- 46:07SPEAKER_04: And it's crazy that we don't give a fuck about the super predator shit, right?
- 46:10SPEAKER_04: We don't care about that.
- 46:12SPEAKER_04: Like where are our values as a people?
- 46:14SPEAKER_04: Anyways, the ignorant shit.
- 46:15SPEAKER_04: So Kanye, him running is I don't know how it could be a negative thing because a lot of people said Obama didn't do anything for black people.
- 46:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I I hear that a lot.
- 46:28SPEAKER_04: So my God.
- 46:30SPEAKER_04: Why why do we assume that Kanye wouldn't do anything for black people?
- 46:33SPEAKER_08: I can't believe we're having this conversation.
- 46:35SPEAKER_08: It feels like Trump all over again.
- 46:37SPEAKER_08: No, this is great.
- 46:38SPEAKER_08: This is great.
- 46:41SPEAKER_04: Out of all the candidates that you see lined up for uh like in these Democratic debates and uh Republican debates, does any of them have anything to say about black folks and our struggle?
- 46:53SPEAKER_04: I personally hear them shitting on reparations.
- 46:56SPEAKER_04: Like even Bernie said the reparations is not happening.
- 46:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, easy those not open.
- 47:02SPEAKER_08: It can never financially work fiscally work out, period.
- 47:06SPEAKER_08: Like you can't.
- 47:07SPEAKER_08: But free college can't.
- 47:09SPEAKER_08: What?
- 47:09SPEAKER_08: Free college can work out, but reparations can't.
- 47:13SPEAKER_08: Alright, so you're talking about reparations.
- 47:15SPEAKER_08: We had a discussion too, like how do you distribute that money?
- 47:18SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 47:18SPEAKER_08: How many people separated are we in families by slavery?
- 47:21SPEAKER_08: Oh no, absolutely.
- 47:22SPEAKER_08: When I say people, I mean like grandmother, great grandmother.
- 47:25SPEAKER_07: So the Indians, they had to prove it, right?
- 47:27SPEAKER_07: They definitely did.
- 47:28SPEAKER_07: Okay, so why can't we prove how far we are that we get a certain amount?
- 47:32SPEAKER_04: Not a lot of y'all agree with uh with Chubbs right now.
- 47:35SPEAKER_04: Why can't we?
- 47:36SPEAKER_08: Unless you know the names of DNA tests.
- 47:39SPEAKER_08: There's DNA tests.
- 47:40SPEAKER_08: Did they have the DNA test to match then?
- 47:42SPEAKER_08: No, no.
- 47:43SPEAKER_08: How do you know where the names are all names given then?
- 47:46SPEAKER_08: But this is my thing.
- 47:46SPEAKER_08: So okay.
- 47:47SPEAKER_07: How did these Indians figure out how far alone they was?
- 47:50SPEAKER_04: No, there wasn't that many generations ago.
- 47:52SPEAKER_08: They have they have different genetics.
- 47:55SPEAKER_08: Now you're talking about people who are not.
- 47:56SPEAKER_08: And they're very secluded in some ways.
- 47:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you have you're talking about uh people who don't come from anywhere else.
- 48:01SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 48:02SPEAKER_08: They're native to right there only.
- 48:04SPEAKER_08: Now you're talking about some African Americans, West Indians who are or Africans from another uh further before it's harder to give them to allocate that money to them.
- 48:13SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 48:14SPEAKER_08: We can say and and when the slave trade was going on, your names were given to you.
- 48:19SPEAKER_08: The whole Kutakente thing, his name was being changed.
- 48:22SPEAKER_08: That's why he kept getting his ass whooped.
- 48:24SPEAKER_08: Because he stayed true to his name.
- 48:25SPEAKER_08: That's why he knows his toe.
- 48:28SPEAKER_07: You're proving his toe.
- 48:29SPEAKER_07: I understand that, but you're you're making it seem like it's impossible for us to trace this down.
- 48:35SPEAKER_07: I don't think it's impossible.
- 48:36SPEAKER_07: I don't think it's impossible, but it's just hard.
- 48:38SPEAKER_07: I agree with Chubbs.
- 48:39SPEAKER_07: It's not impossible.
- 48:40SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 48:41SPEAKER_07: Like I know if I was to trace back, I probably wouldn't get that much because of how much Caribbean.
- 48:46SPEAKER_07: No, you wouldn't get it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 48:47SPEAKER_07: You get what I'm saying?
- 48:47SPEAKER_07: For the sake of humanity.
- 48:48SPEAKER_08: You would have to take it up with the British.
- 48:50SPEAKER_08: For the sake of the America, I would rather us just make ourselves better right now.
- 48:54SPEAKER_08: That sounds pretty selfish, dog.
- 48:57SPEAKER_08: How's that selfish when I'm thinking about everybody?
- 48:58SPEAKER_04: Because look at somebody like Toon.
- 49:00SPEAKER_04: I need that money.
- 49:02SPEAKER_05: I need that money.
- 49:04SPEAKER_05: Until you figure out how to make it.
- 49:07SPEAKER_05: You're fucked.
- 49:07SPEAKER_05: Don't need that money.
- 49:11SPEAKER_05: That's a fact.
- 49:12SPEAKER_05: How about they break that money?
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: You just have why they just invest in black people, bro.
- 49:17SPEAKER_02: Their communities, their schools.
- 49:18SPEAKER_08: They figure out how they're gonna trace it back to everybody who deserves their money.
- 49:22SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 49:22SPEAKER_08: And that money is a whopping$5,500 fucking dollars because they gotta give it to so many people, right?
- 49:29SPEAKER_08: Hold on.
- 49:30SPEAKER_08: I'm gonna smoke it on.
- 49:31SPEAKER_08: Making the uh community better.
- 49:34SPEAKER_04: Okay, so there's a person there's a person right now that that$5,500 is literally the difference between them living or dying.
- 49:40SPEAKER_04: And they're gonna tell you, I don't give a fuck about the community.
- 49:42SPEAKER_04: I care about me and my family.
- 49:43SPEAKER_04: And I can't tell that person that they're wrong for that because self self-preservation is Trump's community.
- 49:49SPEAKER_08: I'm not talking about that mysterious person.
- 49:51SPEAKER_08: No, that that's the reality of things.
- 49:52SPEAKER_04: Oh, me personally?
- 49:54SPEAKER_04: In the room right now.
- 49:54SPEAKER_04: Me personally, I don't know if anybody can.
- 49:56SPEAKER_05: Well, I've never, I never fucking about it.
- 50:00SPEAKER_05: I actually never went to school in my community.
- 50:03SPEAKER_04: Saying the same shit.
- 50:05SPEAKER_07: 3500 will help me get a better credit score that can help me get a better business.
- 50:09SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 50:09SPEAKER_04: See, there's a lot of perspectives that you're not thinking of, man.
- 50:12SPEAKER_04: I think it's just I don't know what he did yesterday.
- 50:17SPEAKER_05: But this nigga came back a man's time's like, and clear up the comments.
- 50:24SPEAKER_07: Did you really think about it?
- 50:26SPEAKER_07: I know I don't have the patience to sit in a regular school.
- 50:28SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 50:29SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 50:29SPEAKER_07: I know I don't have that patience.
- 50:30SPEAKER_07: I did it already.
- 50:31SPEAKER_07: I don't have the patience for somebody to sit there right on the board and for me to take notes.
- 50:34SPEAKER_07: I don't have that patience.
- 50:35SPEAKER_07: I'm more of a hands-on learner.
- 50:36SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 50:37SPEAKER_07: So I know for a fact that if you rather give me$5,500, I could better myself and probably get a business in my field outright.
- 50:44SPEAKER_07: Then actually sit in a class, I'm here for free tuition.
- 50:47SPEAKER_07: Yeah, there's a lot of college students.
- 50:48SPEAKER_07: I already did the free tuition.
- 50:50SPEAKER_08: How come you don't manage your money that way now?
- 50:54SPEAKER_07: Because here's the thing.
- 50:55SPEAKER_07: That's what I'm saying.
- 50:56SPEAKER_07: I'm there.
- 50:57SPEAKER_07: I made terrible decisions as a youth.
- 51:00SPEAKER_07: Like buying stupid shit.
- 51:02SPEAKER_07: Like Jordan's.
- 51:03SPEAKER_07: Not even the Jordans.
- 51:04SPEAKER_07: Like a whole motion that I'll pull.
- 51:07SPEAKER_08: So you're telling me if you got$5,500 right now, you would put it towards your credit?
- 51:10SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 51:11SPEAKER_08: You would.
- 51:12SPEAKER_08: Honestly.
- 51:12SPEAKER_08: Honestly.
- 51:13SPEAKER_04: Oh, what if the reparations committee says, yo, we're going to give you this money, but it can't be spent on rent.
- 51:20SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm going to tell you where this money can go.
- 51:22SPEAKER_04: They can't press.
- 51:23SPEAKER_04: It's like the college people.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: They're good.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: They're good.
- 51:26SPEAKER_04: They can do so many different things.
- 51:27SPEAKER_04: They can just give you a card that works in your circle.
- 51:29SPEAKER_04: Okay, okay, okay.
- 51:30SPEAKER_05: They can literally mark the bills if they wanted to.
- 51:33SPEAKER_07: But like this, you know.
- 51:34SPEAKER_07: I mean, I will use it on my credit card.
- 51:35SPEAKER_07: I went to school.
- 51:36SPEAKER_07: I went to school for free, right?
- 51:38SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 51:38SPEAKER_07: And after I left, I was sitting there like, oh, I ain't never gonna have to be.
- 51:41SPEAKER_07: They sent me a bill that I had to pay because I didn't use that money on books.
- 51:46SPEAKER_07: Nothing.
- 51:46SPEAKER_07: And the only thing that they said was if you did use it on books, we need to prove it.
- 51:51SPEAKER_07: I bought joint ins.
- 51:52SPEAKER_07: I bought all kinds of shit.
- 51:53SPEAKER_05: But you only you the only person I ever heard got caught up on that shit, though.
- 51:56SPEAKER_04: I know, I know a couple people that did it.
- 51:58SPEAKER_04: Majority of people get away with it.
- 51:59SPEAKER_05: But there's some people that, hey, we got we gotta catch some people.
- 52:03SPEAKER_05: Something like that, you have to audit a couple people.
- 52:04SPEAKER_07: Because basically, basically what happens is if they let's say they leave school and they had, I think it was over a C plus, they're not gonna come after you.
- 52:13SPEAKER_07: Once you drop onto the C plus and leave, they want their money back.
- 52:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, because they're like, yeah, I figured.
- 52:18SPEAKER_05: Like I would just fail.
- 52:19SPEAKER_07: Investing in you, basically.
- 52:20SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 52:20SPEAKER_07: I failed out of the school.
- 52:21SPEAKER_07: I didn't just be like, alright, I'm not going.
- 52:23SPEAKER_07: I actually failed out of the school.
- 52:25SPEAKER_07: So I I brought up all these things just.
- 52:27SPEAKER_04: So what do you think Kanye would do for that?
- 52:29SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 52:29SPEAKER_04: Nothing.
- 52:29SPEAKER_04: I brought up Kanye because I'm quick to shit on the dude and kind of outcast him because he's aligned himself with Trump and he's aligned himself with Christianity and we're quick to throw him out.
- 52:40SPEAKER_04: But if Kanye comes on the bill, honestly, I don't give a fuck who it is.
- 52:43SPEAKER_04: It could be one of y'all in this room.
- 52:44SPEAKER_04: If y'all come on the bill, y'all get support, and y'all are doing changes that I find applicable to my life, just because you're a Republican doesn't mean I'm not gonna vote for you.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: No, and and I agree, I agree.
- 52:55SPEAKER_03: I definitely don't think that just because someone's a Republican, people should demonize them.
- 52:59SPEAKER_03: Because that's just their that's just their political party, and there's there's things about that party or the values that they have that you align with.
- 53:06SPEAKER_03: Doesn't mean you align with everybody who's a freaking Republican, because there's people who just do it, you know, there's a lot of racist people in that party.
- 53:12SPEAKER_04: Five years ago, and if you would have ever told me that I would ever vote for vote for a Republican, I would have told you that you're crazy.
- 53:18SPEAKER_04: But then I started doing my research, and I'm like, what has the Democratic Party really done for my people, my community?
- 53:24SPEAKER_04: They just have our vote automatically.
- 53:25SPEAKER_04: We're the only vote that they don't fight for.
- 53:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, because they just know black people are gonna vote democratic regardless.
- 53:31SPEAKER_04: And I think that is very stupid.
- 53:32SPEAKER_04: And the Hispanic community, they get together, some of them are like, nah, we fucking with the Republicans because they got our our our shit.
- 53:40SPEAKER_04: Interests at hand.
- 53:40SPEAKER_04: But then there's other uh part of the Hispanic community that say, no, no, we're gonna vote Democratic because they're light on they're light on um immigration.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: Like there's there's both sides of it.
- 53:49SPEAKER_04: But black people for some reason were a monolith, and we all we don't even have like I think Killer Mike said it.
- 53:54SPEAKER_04: He's like, we should all get together and get five things that as a community that we need.
- 53:58SPEAKER_04: And if you don't hit these five things, we're not gonna vote for you.
- 54:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but we can't even do that because we're like, nah, we're voting Democrat.
- 54:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because there's no fight there.
- 54:05SPEAKER_07: The only thing that that I don't like about like politics now, it to me it became like the NBA funds that what team you're told.
- 54:13SPEAKER_04: Oh no, it's been like that for a long time.
- 54:14SPEAKER_07: But that's what I think you just realized.
- 54:16SPEAKER_07: The only reason why I ever voted was because my parents like, yo, let's say Trump was running.
- 54:21SPEAKER_07: It's like, yo, we can't have Trump in there.
- 54:22SPEAKER_07: You gotta vote Democrat.
- 54:23SPEAKER_07: And I would just go.
- 54:24SPEAKER_07: And you don't even know what the fuck the Democrats are.
- 54:26SPEAKER_07: What the fuck they were saying.
- 54:26SPEAKER_07: Or the rest of the people on there after you're gonna be able to do what I'm saying.
- 54:29SPEAKER_07: And it wasn't till like this last election, I'm like, hold on.
- 54:33SPEAKER_07: I legit went down there and filled out a ballot straight down, and I have no idea what any of these motherfuckers are doing for me.
- 54:39SPEAKER_04: Hillary Clinton called us, everybody in this room, a super president.
- 54:42SPEAKER_04: And we all did still voted.
- 54:45SPEAKER_04: They voted for that bitch.
- 54:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I didn't vote for her.
- 54:47SPEAKER_05: I didn't vote.
- 54:49SPEAKER_04: Trump?
- 54:50SPEAKER_05: I didn't vote in that.
- 54:51SPEAKER_05: He didn't vote in that.
- 54:52SPEAKER_05: The only person I voted for was Obama.
- 54:54SPEAKER_08: But it's like the issue twice.
- 54:58SPEAKER_08: You kind of voted Trump by not voting for him.
- 55:03SPEAKER_07: That's the sad part.
- 55:04SPEAKER_07: No, but it's like, I don't know.
- 55:05SPEAKER_03: It's just like the person who Kanye has become, it's like, I don't know how empathetic he is in terms of like even You don't have the answers.
- 55:14SPEAKER_03: Even like with how he aligned with Trump, I'm like, you don't see like I don't know.
- 55:18SPEAKER_03: I just don't like the way he thinks about he thinks about black people as a whole.
- 55:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:21SPEAKER_09: I don't like that.
- 55:22SPEAKER_09: It shouldn't be like that.
- 55:23SPEAKER_09: Exactly.
- 55:24SPEAKER_03: I don't like that.
- 55:24SPEAKER_03: Like I understand, like you, in terms of how you reference it, you know, it's just trends that you see in terms of what black people do, but I don't think you should label them as a whole.
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: Like, didn't he say like black people have no culture or something?
- 55:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he's full of shit.
- 55:35SPEAKER_03: And then it's just like Tim K.
- 55:37SPEAKER_07: Tim K first.
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: Well, remember that that um that um when he went on TMZ.
- 55:43SPEAKER_08: I disagree.
- 55:44SPEAKER_08: No.
- 55:45SPEAKER_03: Remember when he went on TMZ?
- 55:47SPEAKER_08: He was saying slavery is a choice?
- 55:48SPEAKER_03: That, but then who was the guy who sort of like was saying, was it something something with a V?
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: Van?
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 55:54SPEAKER_03: He got fired by the way.
- 55:55SPEAKER_03: I know, I know.
- 55:56SPEAKER_03: I read that.
- 55:56SPEAKER_03: I read that he got it.
- 55:59SPEAKER_04: Grabbing them, they were having like a political discussion he got.
- 56:02SPEAKER_04: So who do you work for?
- 56:05SPEAKER_03: He was like, his point was like that you don't understand like why people are upset.
- 56:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like, and that's the problem.
- 56:11SPEAKER_03: There's no there's no empathy there.
- 56:13SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, his fame and his money has changed him.
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: And then you're talking about like, oh, that you're like you were in debt, blah blah blah.
- 56:19SPEAKER_03: Like, one, your wife has a lot of money, too, you're gonna be fine.
- 56:23SPEAKER_03: Like, even if you are in debt, you always have her, and you obviously live in this big house.
- 56:28SPEAKER_03: So it's like, it's like he tries to say all these things to get like all this emp all this sympathy, but it's like you don't really identify with a lot of people anymore.
- 56:36SPEAKER_03: I agree.
- 56:37SPEAKER_03: So that that was my issue with him.
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: It's like, is he gonna understand the needs of black people?
- 56:41SPEAKER_04: You know, he probably isn't, but if he is a black man and he's gonna surround himself with black representatives, then they're gonna be like, yo, Kanye, I know there's Calabasas' clothing shit is cool and all, but there's a project that they don't have heat.
- 56:53SPEAKER_03: So let's Yeah, because he was trying to build these homes and then it was you know they were torn down because he didn't get like whatever permits.
- 56:59SPEAKER_07: Well I the reason why I'm like so iffy of him becoming president is what is our our um alternative?
- 57:08SPEAKER_07: No, what is our what uh fuck not our allies, our uh uh what's the opposite of fucking allies?
- 57:14SPEAKER_07: Um what is our ops gonna look at the United States as?
- 57:20SPEAKER_07: With Kim K damn near always naked as a first lady and Kevin.
- 57:25SPEAKER_03: Um hello, Melania was a like a Playboy model, like she was like naked on the cover of some shit.
- 57:30SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but this is my thing.
- 57:31SPEAKER_04: Look at how but bro, this is the thing.
- 57:33SPEAKER_04: The Kennedys, their pops was a bootlegger.
- 57:36SPEAKER_04: This nigga rose up from selling fake alcohol to his children running their country.
- 57:40SPEAKER_04: This shit it's the American way.
- 57:42SPEAKER_04: You just didn't know that.
- 57:43SPEAKER_04: You just learned that just now, right?
- 57:44SPEAKER_04: There's a reason for that though.
- 57:46SPEAKER_04: Because it doesn't matter once you get there.
- 57:48SPEAKER_04: The last thing they're gonna talk about is this nigga was president.
- 57:51SPEAKER_04: He was a president, his family was political.
- 57:53SPEAKER_04: The Kennedys, they were they were Kennedys, they were down low people, like they were like one of us, like they was hustling like everybody else.
- 58:00SPEAKER_04: Because that that to me, this is really crazy.
- 58:02SPEAKER_03: The same thing with like Trump's like parents and grandparents, like they were immigrants, like he was she was cleaning houses and shit.
- 58:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like that's the American dream.
- 58:10SPEAKER_04: That's why America is so dope.
- 58:11SPEAKER_04: And like, I know I I come on this podcast a lot and I hear you guys say, especially when Red used to be here, used to get in table with him all the time about how you know he thinks even New York is fucked up to live in.
- 58:20SPEAKER_04: But when you come from these other countries, because you can relate, our families aren't from here.
- 58:24SPEAKER_04: So when they are looking at this place, we have cousins that would kill to be on our spot right now.
- 58:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and it's that's why it kind of like bothers me a little bit when people shit on America because this is the only country in the world where you can be nobody and become president.
- 58:38SPEAKER_04: You can be nobody on a business, you can be nobody and become the richest nigga ever.
- 58:42SPEAKER_07: The crazy part is like that.
- 58:44SPEAKER_07: I feel you on that.
- 58:45SPEAKER_07: Maximize anything you want in America.
- 58:47SPEAKER_07: That is true, but sometimes I be looking like at back home, like, damn, like my aunts, they they're home.
- 58:54SPEAKER_07: They don't work, they stop working for maybe 20, 30 years, got a nice house, living the best life.
- 59:01SPEAKER_07: I'm like, damn, like, am I really living my best life?
- 59:05SPEAKER_04: It's a different culture.
- 59:06SPEAKER_04: It's because what is the best life to them?
- 59:08SPEAKER_04: That's what I'm saying.
- 59:09SPEAKER_04: That's that's it, because you might trade your life with them, and you're like, this is whack.
- 59:13SPEAKER_04: Like, I don't want to be at home.
- 59:14SPEAKER_07: Like, that's the only that's the only thing.
- 59:16SPEAKER_07: Like, they could do whatever you could go to the beach, whatever, it's fun.
- 59:19SPEAKER_07: But I just feel like just coming here and be able to be like three o'clock in the morning, hey, yo, yeah, I want to go for a drink or whatever.
- 59:24SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but it's just that luxury.
- 59:26SPEAKER_04: And those are the small luxuries now.
- 59:27SPEAKER_04: Look at the big luxuries.
- 59:28SPEAKER_04: When you get sick in the Caribbean, they are rushing here to get help.
- 59:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that is.
- 59:32SPEAKER_04: Like, my grandfather comes here every year for like six months at a time just because health care is so much better.
- 59:36SPEAKER_04: Look at it.
- 59:37SPEAKER_04: He's coming to a country that he's not even a citizen of to get health care.
- 59:40SPEAKER_04: Look how dope that is.
- 59:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, there's Americans out here that can't even get health care.
- 59:45SPEAKER_04: He's coming from a country to get health care.
- 59:47SPEAKER_04: I'm snitching.
- 59:48SPEAKER_04: But that's how beautiful though.
- 59:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, my family does the same thing.
- 59:53SPEAKER_04: Well, they're they're residents.
- 59:54SPEAKER_04: They're residents, but they they're not even a resident, he don't live here.
- 59:57SPEAKER_04: He's chilling.
- 59:59SPEAKER_04: And it's it's crazy how vacation and went to the doctor.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_04: Hey, I'm gonna just have a lot of people.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_03: That's like when I got when we got sick in Antigua, I was just like, nah, I'm gonna wait till my flight.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna go, I'm not gonna go to the hospital.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_07: One time I ever went to the hospital in Antigua, I was so scared for my life.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_07: Why did you end up in the hospital?
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_07: So I so I'm gonna I'm gonna start the story and break it down.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_07: So basically, start the story and break it down.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_07: At that age, I always thought that my family loved my brother more than they did to me because it was like why he likes Instagram.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_07: There was a certain couch, there's like a certain couch this nigga could sit in, and if I get there and like he came, I had to move.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_07: That's fine.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_07: It's because you were too big, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_07: So it was like I I basically went outside one day and I was kicking the soccer ball at the wall as hard as I can, and I basically pulled a muscle from my hip that goes down to my knee.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_07: And basically, when I went in, my blood pressure, everything was so high out the roof, and it was like, what happened?
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_07: And I basically told him I was tight.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_07: Like I was basically stressing for like two, three days just outside wild.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_07: And when they told me the amount of shit that they wanted me to do and the pills that they get, I was like, I'm not taking that.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_07: Like they was giving me pills that I couldn't even tell you what the fuck it was.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_04: Robotus and pill form.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_07: And then they was like, oh, um, they might have to operate on the muscle.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_07: And I looked at my like, no the fuck they not.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_07: If you tell me I only pulled it, why do you have to cut me the what are you gonna do?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_07: They're just gonna practice on you.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_08: Like, oh, we haven't got one in the long time.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_07: Bringing the medical Somebody need their stripes today.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_07: Let's say this is the room, it was three people in this one room, this this big.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_04: I was like, All right, we're gonna put some ice on the open yard real soon.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_04: Take some Robotus.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_07: That shit was so crazy, son.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_08: Yeah, um red stripe.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_07: That shit was I was like, nah, like But look at Kim.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_03: I feel like she's doing way more than he is.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_08: Oh, that's a fact.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_08: No, Kim is setting herself.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_08: So, like we already already know the woman.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_08: I'd go for her anyway.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_08: So Kim knows exactly what she's doing.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_08: If her fa if her husband is gearing up to be president, I'm gonna become a lawyer.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_08: She's gonna be an attorney general.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_08: So I could make the necessary moves and fight all anyone who comes in our way.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_08: They're looking at what's going on with Trump.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_08: As the lioness she is.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_08: Yeah, they're looking at what's going on with Trump.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because look at her, like, she's not black, but she has black children and she's very conscious of that.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_03: She even, you know, she had interviews too about like, you know, everything that's happening to black men now that she has sons, you know, all this stuff.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_03: But it's like there's a reason she's fighting specifically for black people.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_04: What's going on, Ace?
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_04: You look like you disagree.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_03: Hold on.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_07: Is she really conscious of what's going on?
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: I think she is.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_07: Or is this a build-up scheme because Kanye wants to run?
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_03: I don't, to be honest, I don't know.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_03: There could be a there could be a grand scheme.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_03: You never know.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_03: Who knows what celebrities are?
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_07: No, no.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_03: Did you hear this shit?
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_03: But basically, she's like she's taking action and she's studying because I'm like, she doesn't have to go to school to be a lawyer.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_03: There's like she doesn't have to, but she's doing it.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah, she's doing it.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_07: This is my thing.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_07: Does she have a regular degree?
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_03: No, she doesn't have a she just has high school.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_02: She just has high school.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_04: California is one of the state for we spoke about this on the podcast.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_04: All the way to the way though, she just need to pass the bar.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_05: Oh, I don't think he was here.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_05: Oh, you missed it.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_05: That was the same time we had the conversation about the But she'd only be able to practice like in that state.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so this is the way law works.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_04: Alright, so like in New York, because I wanted to be a lawyer.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_04: You have to go to law school and then take the bar.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_04: In California, you don't need a degree.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_04: You just need to pass the bar.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_04: But she can only practice law in her state.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_07: But that's what I'm saying, because in here, you have to go to regular college, then law school, then take the bar, and then you have to do that, that um, what is it, pre-the what's after like regular isn't it grad school or something?
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_07: No, the grad school is the law school.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_04: And then you have to just pass the bar.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_04: Because you can do that.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_07: I know, I know one of my friends, he That's why people rack up all that.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_07: He all those loans.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_07: Did his whole apprenticeship or whatever, his intern and all that.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_07: And basically he was like, yeah, I am a lawyer, but I'm not a lawyer.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_07: And I was like, he's like, I got my degree and everything, but I gotta take still gotta take the bar in order to practice.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_03: If you go to your iPhone, yeah, so like you could be like probably like a paralegal or something.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you could be a paralegal.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_04: Because that's the only thing I could become if I finish my degree.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_04: I have one year.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_04: That's it.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_04: But if you go to your iPhone right now and go to the app store, the most expensive app in there is the bar exam app.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_04: It's like a hundred dollars.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_04: And it it's it's a study guide.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_04: And that's not shit.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_04: That's not gonna help you do anything.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_04: And it's the most expensive app.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_07: I heard like the bar is just you'd never know what the fuck it is.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_04: No, it's like it's probably one of the hardest tests you probably have to take like on the side of being becoming a doctor and stuff like that.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_04: But see what a doctor is like.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_04: There's just so much reading.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_04: Jesus.
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_03: So much reading.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_08: It's a language that you have to learn.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_08: Yes, it's not regular conversations.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_03: I know, because how they write is crazy.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_03: I've like seen like depositions and shit.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you have to know all the phrases, and it's my memory.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_04: You don't go on on that test and be like, oh, I have a study book.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_04: Not open no tests.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_07: You ever look at when they write your prescription?
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_07: Just have your Apple Watch handy.
- 1:05:02SPEAKER_07: You can't tell if you're getting the generic or the real shit, but like it's just the way they wrote it, the pharmacist knows, all right.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_07: This is he gotta get the generic brand.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_07: That's the crazy shit about like just their terminology and works.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's why they go to school for it.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_04: And I think that if you want to become a lawyer or a doctor, I think that school should be free.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_04: Honestly.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_04: Because you're trying to that's a service of your.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_04: You know they have like one of the highest who stand rates.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_04: I would imagine, yeah.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_04: Because on top of all that work, DC.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_04: Like, that's the thing people don't understand.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_04: On top of all that work you do, you're in debt.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_04: Like, that's what people don't understand.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_04: You have to find way.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_04: You gotta find a way to pay that shit off.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_04: But you start at like a hundred thousand.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_04: Like, that's like the lower end lawyer.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_07: Like, I thought it up.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_07: I thought who I was like, it's like, yo, lawyers are like the biggest criminals.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_07: And I'm like, how do you face that?
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_07: Car salesmen are the biggest criminals.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_07: Because if you ever think about it, even if that person's guilty, you gotta try to lie and prove them right.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_07: No, that's it depends on the law you get into, though.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_04: There's a hundred fields, bro.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_04: You could be a
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_03: There's environmental law.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_03: There's so much law.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_03: You can do just sports.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_04: You can be a contract lawyer.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_04: Any contract in the world.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_04: You just have to read it.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, this you can't put this in a contract.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_04: This is not a real contract.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_04: Throw it away.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_04: That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_04: There's so many different lawyers you can be.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so you don't have to be like a criminal lawyer.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_04: You can you can be a uh a historical lawyer where you just know mad cases.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_04: Like you don't do anything.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_04: Your job is to know.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_04: And like, so a law team would hire you.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_04: Like, let's say they were defending OJ, and like, yo, can you find me a case where a black guy killed somebody and got off?
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah, there's 13 of that.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_04: Here, here, here, yeah.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_04: And you don't do anything besides that.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_04: There's so many different jobs.
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_08: Certain laws that are impl implemented for certain cases as a first time and what the criteria was for implemented as well.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_04: It's important though.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_04: All of that shit is important.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_04: But if you don't got the money to pay these niggas, you're gonna get a regular lawyer.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_04: That's like you can have a mechanic.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_04: You take the full year.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_04: You take the four years.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because like it was funny, we were watching, we were watching the Patriarch, and they were saying, like, when you sue an officer, like someone has had to win a case similar to that for you to win it.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_03: Like there was a case where the officer shot the a kid in the like the foot or something, but because there was never like a case like that, they could they didn't win any money.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's tough, man.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_07: But wait, so hold on, hold on.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_07: Hold on, hold on.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_07: It was an accident.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_07: He accidentally shot a kid in the foot.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_08: To make it go to the city.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_07: But so hold on.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_07: So if this nigga is absolutely wrong, and this is just the first time it happened, it wouldn't win.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_07: You wouldn't win.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_07: No, no, no, no.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_08: Every time that happened, you wouldn't win.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_08: You have to have uh to get received money for it, you have to even have a lot of money to make the proceedings go on a long enough for them to give a dollar amount.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_08: And you know what that dollar amount is gonna be?
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_08: How much it cost to fucking fight it.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_08: And that's exactly what's gonna happen.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I guess it'd be harder to win.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's not.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_04: That's why those kids uh those lawyers on TV, Selena and Barnes, they don't get paid unless you win.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_04: Because they're trying to just show you that hey, even if you lose and this c cost me$50,000 to even do your case, you're good.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_04: Like that's how good they think they are at their job.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_04: So they know we're gonna win something if they're getting the same.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_03: Seleno and Barnes and Jerry has already.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_07: That's the crazy part about like KOT.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_07: So a guy, a cop shoot somebody in the foot, and because there was no other case, you can't win.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_07: But then, so if it happens 20 years from now.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_07: Was it like president?
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_04: Your case would be used.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_07: Like, look at this.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_07: And that version will be trust versus state.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_07: So that see, that's some fuckery.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_07: Because you could potentially win just because I had to take it out.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's how the life works.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_07: Fu fuck law.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_07: Fuck law.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_07: No, it's ridiculous.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_07: Yeah, some laws are gonna help.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_07: So you get your coins, you get your coins, but I get nothing to lose my child.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_07: I gotta know your rods.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_05: Your name goes in the history book, bro.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_05: But I look at my child and I got a chance.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_04: Roe versus Wade.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_07: Yeah, all them stupid shit.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_07: Stupid shit.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_07: Like, this is my shit, and I'll be like, alright, like, what does that have to do with the case that's going on now?
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_04: It does.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_04: Because that's where they drew back the comparisons.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_05: Like, hey, in 1968, yeah, your name will come up forever.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_07: Come up forever, but I lost my kid and get nothing.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_05: Nah, nah, that's what you gotta think.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_05: You gotta think for the how you think how you think Trayvon's Martin's family feels.
- 1:09:17SPEAKER_05: And they understand that over time, at the moment it hurts as fuck, and it still hurts.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_05: But over time, I'm pretty sure she understands that her son was like a huge fact.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_05: That's how stepping stones are.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_05: Example is not a strong enough word for the thing.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_05: Stepping.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_05: Stepping stones, stepping stones.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_07: And that's not a problem.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_07: No, it's definitely a problem.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_07: When that happened, let's say gap to your family, you get your coins or whatever, you get reparation for it.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_07: It's not reparation.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_04: Not reparation, but you get coins.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_04: The cop goes to chip.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_04: You get chips, right?
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_07: So I'm saying like something has to happen in order for something to change.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_08: It's not that something has judged.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_08: Every time justice is served, doesn't mean that you get a payment.
- 1:09:56SPEAKER_08: Not a payment, but like you get a payment.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_08: You get a result.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you get a result.
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_08: But with me, I get fucked over because I was the first one.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_05: That's a fucking works.
- 1:10:03SPEAKER_05: That's life.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_05: Just think about how many people before you that didn't even get acknowledged.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_05: That's fucked up.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_03: Isn't slavery legal if you're, you know, uh convicted of a crime or something?
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_03: They were like the 13th Amendment or whatever that they were talking about.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_04: Under that amendment, before slavery could be fully abolished, they had all kinds of stipulations for why how you could stipulate.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_03: No, like currently, like it's legal.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_04: Oh no, hell no.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_04: In America, right now?
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_04: Oh, Trump is wild.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_04: Hold on.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_03: No, this well, this is what Kanye was talking about too.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_04: How could I do that?
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_04: That he was like ranting about.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_03: Oh, technically, that's why that's why you have all those prisoners fighting those fires.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, yeah, no, that's true.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_04: This oh, that's fucked up.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_04: You didn't know about that?
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_04: So, like, you see the fires in California, they have the people that are in jail go fight the fires, and when they get out of jail, they can't even become firefighters.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_04: Even though they have all the training in the world, like hands-on training, because they're fighting these fires resting their lives, and they can't even become firefighters because they're convicted felons.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_04: It's fucked up.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_05: That's backwards the system, huh?
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_03: See, because look, the 13th Amendment um abolish slavery and involuntary servitude except as punishment for a crime.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_07: So technically when you go to jail, yeah, but that's that's how I said that's what that amendment is.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_08: That is slavery.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_08: That's why they give you 40 cents.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_03: But that's why they have that's why they have for-profit prisons where they're making all that shit.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_07: Doing things.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_03: They're paying, they're getting paid what, cents and shit?
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_07: Like, what I say, like when they do like these shits, like if you ever see like with Rikers, when they do the cleanups on the highway with the prison, they're getting paid for that.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_07: But what is for much?
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_07: But what is 40 cents in jail?
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_05: No, no, no.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_05: You gotta understand how you gotta understand.
- 1:11:40SPEAKER_05: You only eat three times a day, nigga.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_07: And you have to think about it, think about somebody else.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_07: But that's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_07: 40 cents on your books, right?
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_07: That's nothing.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_07: Let's say it's 40 cents an hour, right?
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's nothing.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_05: I think you're forgetting how expensive jail could be besides commissary.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_05: If you have to pay for protection, you paying with cigarettes or like carton of cigarettes, that 40 cents is not helping you.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_08: Technically$100.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_07: By the technicality, you're getting paid for service, so it's technically not slavery.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_07: No, no.
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_08: If minimum wage one and no, no, after this podcast, you need to look up what the definition of slavery is.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_08: Because we're actually in slavery.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_08: Slavery is just hard labor for uh in a not the right amount of money.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_08: Not equal value.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_08: Yeah, no, no.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_07: So that's technically damn near everything.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_07: Because if you're a mechanic, exactly right.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_07: Because if you're a mechanic, you get paid$15 an hour.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_07: You get$15 an hour.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_07: That's not like from the just from the shit that I have done on my car, I don't think no mechanics should ever get paid$15 an hour.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_04: Oh, that mechanics.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_07: $15 an hour.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_07: There's some mechanics that they start you off at basically.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_08: Am I wrong?
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_08: Absolutely.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_08: They went to school for everything.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_08: I mean, I went to school and you walk in, I walked in the Volkswagen, they laughed at me for the school.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_08: You can't go straight to a dealership.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_08: The dealerships care about the certifications they give you.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_08: So they bring you in, you're considered you'll be like a C tech, uh C level tech.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_08: You get C, uh, B, A, and shit like that.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_08: A is like a master mechanic.
- 1:13:13SPEAKER_08: So you come in as a C level mechanic, you're getting base salary.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_08: Base salary, if they do owl hourly for you, is gonna be um whatever minimum wage is for that state.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_08: Unless you agree on higher or you show that you're you're worth more.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_08: And then after that, after you get better, they put you on something called flat rate.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_08: So you make you make money per what you do during the week.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_04: That sucks.
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_04: I'd rather be salad.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_08: So say you get in three shit jobs that you're stuck on, and you only get paid for those three jobs all fucking week.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_08: Because they need you to get shit out the door.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_07: That's why a lot of these people they would go to schools and like there's some like my boy, he went to school at uh Lincoln Tech, and there's certain tests, like we were talking to another to VBlock.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_07: There's certain tests that she passed that he didn't pass that.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_07: He had to go back to take after they gave him the certificate.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_07: Just because like this place requires me to get that certification now.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_07: Yeah, college is very certain.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_08: Yeah, those things are rigged, they're rigged to be a good thing.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_08: It's crazy.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_08: You're paying everybody to give you your certification.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_08: Because it looks better for them that everybody's certified as they graduate.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_08: So they give you those little leniencies.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_04: Um, just another off spin of uh the Kanye conversation.
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_04: Did you guys hear about the MAGA challenge?
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_03: I've like seen it here and there, but I I haven't really looked into it.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so there's a rap challenge.
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_05: No, no, we need visuals.
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_05: They can looked at me like that.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_05: What are you looking at me for?
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_04: Um, there's I'm gonna try to find the exact video that uh um matter of fact, you know who put me on to it?
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_04: Uh Darius's boy that we played 2K with.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_04: Uh his uh gamer tag is yoink.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_04: I'm sorry.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_04: Yoink.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_04: Chubbs, your friend Yoink.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_04: Give him a shout out.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_04: I don't know how he's gonna.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_04: Is that a friend named Yoink?
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_04: Nah, that's his uh gamer check.
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_04: I promised him a shout-out because he gave me this topic.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_05: Yoink, give us.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_05: Go ahead.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_05: Pass me the ball.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's the one I was locking me up, right?
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_05: Yoink.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_05: You ain't gonna do that ever again.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_04: So if you could just look at the visuals we got right now, the MAGA challenge.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_04: It's a rap challenge, by the way.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_04: Oh, I saw some shit like that.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_04: Wait, why are there two cards up there?
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_04: There's a bunch of people rapping.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_04: He bought us.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_04: About making America great again?
- 1:15:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm uh they uh black girl.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_08: I'm talking about a black old MM with a mega fish in it.
- 1:16:33SPEAKER_04: That's Joe Buddhist fault.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah, MAGA challenge and we So yeah, that's pretty much what the MAGA challenge is.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_04: Donald Trump uh put out a challenge.
- 1:16:43SPEAKER_04: I don't even know if it was him, but there's a challenge.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_04: It might have been.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it probably isn't him.
- 1:16:47SPEAKER_04: So Donald Trump.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he put out a challenge.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_04: So wait, what's the reward though?
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_04: Come on.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_05: Oh, you got to go to the White House.
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_05: So this is all right.
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_07: This is why Isn't somebody in this camp getting locked up right now?
- 1:16:57SPEAKER_07: A lot of people are Julian's.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_05: Back to the Kanye shit.
- 1:17:01SPEAKER_05: This is why we I don't want a president that's so into social media.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_05: Facts.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_05: Why the f you telling me that Donald Trump put this challenge out himself?
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_05: Yes, sir.
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_05: And he's rewarding the winner with a trip to the White House.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so.
- 1:17:15SPEAKER_05: For what?
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_04: I mean, you don't want to go to the White House?
- 1:17:19SPEAKER_04: Not when Trump is in there.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_08: Trump knows how to stir the pot.
- 1:17:22SPEAKER_08: When Obama was there, I did want to go to the White House.
- 1:17:25SPEAKER_08: Trump knows how to get attention.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_08: That's it.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_08: It was Obama's fault.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_08: Obama taught us all how to become president.
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_08: Be likable or just be popular.
- 1:17:34SPEAKER_08: That's true.
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_08: He's the most popular president.
- 1:17:37SPEAKER_08: That's what it was.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_08: Really?
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_08: You think Obama was the first president?
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_08: No, Obama was not the first.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_03: Obama was not a celebrity.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_03: Who was the first president?
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_03: Obama was not a celebrity.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_08: Obama rigged.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_08: I get your point.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_08: Yeah, he became a celebrity.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_08: He became a celebrity.
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_03: I know, but then that's not the same.
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_07: But that's not the same thing black Jesus won't be able to do that.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_03: That's not the same thing as how Trump won, though.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_07: But you had people that was dressing up as Obama for Halloween.
- 1:18:03SPEAKER_07: Like he became He was just likable at Twitter.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_07: Being popular.
- 1:18:10SPEAKER_07: It was Nixon, actually, who was a celebrity.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_07: One of those.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_07: No, he he was an actor.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so Nixon was definitely a celebrity.
- 1:18:15SPEAKER_07: Nixon was the one that got impeached, no?
- 1:18:16SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_04: No, yeah.
- 1:18:17SPEAKER_04: No.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_03: The one that got impeached.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_03: He was also.
- 1:18:23SPEAKER_07: That was pretty good.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_07: He was the one with the whole plane situation, no?
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_07: Nah, it was Watergate.
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_07: Watergate.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_05: I'm fucking my head up right now.
- 1:18:32SPEAKER_05: Shout out to Chubbs.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_05: Damn, that shit really connected some some straight up.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_05: I probably know what Chubbs did.
- 1:18:37SPEAKER_05: He took the pill from Limitless.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_05: And now he's good.
- 1:18:43SPEAKER_07: He's mad.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_07: It's a good movie that y'all need to watch.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_07: Like, it's just about this.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_07: Fuck.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_07: What is it?
- 1:18:49SPEAKER_07: Empire.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_07: Oh my God.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_07: See?
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_07: See?
- 1:18:55SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:18:57SPEAKER_08: 24 hours.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah, it's over.
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_04: While you figure out what pill you took last night, we got one last topic to run through.
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_04: Red pill, blue pill.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_04: It's a lot more grounded in reality.
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_07: Yeah, what was it?
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_07: Empire something.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_07: Um to the side, sir.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_07: Empire state of mind.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_04: I believe this is Kyoto's topic about relationships and friendships.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_05: Oh, go one.
- 1:19:17SPEAKER_05: Sounds like a great one.
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_04: So uh KOcho, you might roll in this uh rolling in on this.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_03: It's not about you, relax.
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_08: I know you're not stupid.
- 1:19:27SPEAKER_03: So I was I'm a fan on this man.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_07: That had to be the most random shit next to Ray with the excuse.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_07: God.
- 1:19:38SPEAKER_08: Sorry, KOcho.
- 1:19:39SPEAKER_08: Can you please roll in?
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_03: So uh my question was Are there people in your lives that are egocentric and always think or act in a self-centered way?
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_03: And then how do you deal with them when issues arise?
- 1:19:50SPEAKER_03: And do you try to be honest with them and tell them about themselves, or do you just avoid confrontation because you know they're set in their ways?
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_03: So I know a couple people like this, and unfortunately, they're family members, so you know you're stuck with a lot of people, you know, in your family.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_04: I'd like to talk to this first if you guys don't mind.
- 1:20:08SPEAKER_04: Alright, I have a very good friend, his name is Chubbs, and I love him to death.
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_04: I will be lying if I said that I did not, but this everything has to revolve around Chubbs, whether we like it or not.
- 1:20:24SPEAKER_04: We recently had a very nice trip.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_04: We went to Atlanta.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_04: And he says something occurred, and I don't think it occurred.
- 1:20:33SPEAKER_04: And the only reason I think he said it occurred was because he wanted to be the center of attention.
- 1:20:38SPEAKER_04: And he's done this multiple times throughout this friendship.
- 1:20:43SPEAKER_04: And the way I always tackle it is I just let him know that I know he's full of shit.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_04: So there's no, there's no there's no controversy.
- 1:20:51SPEAKER_04: I know he's full of shit.
- 1:20:52SPEAKER_04: He knows he's full of shit, and we just leave it at that.
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_08: Except for the one dude that wanted to kill him in Florida.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_08: What?
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_08: Did that even happen?
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you said something.
- 1:21:00SPEAKER_07: Oh, in Miami when I got the fight to eat his food.
- 1:21:03SPEAKER_07: Oh, no.
- 1:21:03SPEAKER_07: That was that.
- 1:21:05SPEAKER_04: That was except for that moment.
- 1:21:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:10SPEAKER_04: You brought that upon yourself.
- 1:21:11SPEAKER_04: What did I do?
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_04: You started screaming out, why the fuck is this nigga?
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_04: Who's he looking at like that?
- 1:21:16SPEAKER_04: What's this nigga's problem?
- 1:21:17SPEAKER_04: And we're like, yo, bro, you're not 5'10.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_04: You're 6'4.
- 1:21:20SPEAKER_04: Everybody is hearing and seeing you.
- 1:21:22SPEAKER_04: Relax.
- 1:21:22SPEAKER_05: And that nigga had no body fat at all.
- 1:21:26SPEAKER_05: And balls.
- 1:21:27SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:21:28SPEAKER_07: That nigga started.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_07: I would dancing in the middle of the club.
- 1:21:30SPEAKER_07: That nigga started frolicking in front of me.
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_08: I might even go hold attention on Chubbs now.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so as uh as pertaining to K.O.'s question, I just think it depends on um how much you value the the friendship.
- 1:21:41SPEAKER_04: Like, I really value our friendship.
- 1:21:43SPEAKER_04: So I would never make it awkward between the two of us.
- 1:21:45SPEAKER_04: So I just keep it like kind of playful.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_04: So I just be like, yo, I know you're lying, bro.
- 1:21:50SPEAKER_04: I don't make it awkward between the two.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_04: I don't make it awkward.
- 1:21:52SPEAKER_04: I try not to, at least.
- 1:21:53SPEAKER_04: I don't get I don't get upset because there's other people that just get upset with you and be like, yo, this nigga's a fucking liar.
- 1:21:57SPEAKER_04: I don't want to be around him.
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_04: This nigga always needs to be a certain attention.
- 1:22:00SPEAKER_04: I don't want to be around him.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_04: There's some people like that.
- 1:22:02SPEAKER_04: I'm not like that.
- 1:22:02SPEAKER_04: I like I love hanging around with you.
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_04: Well, I have a friend that's always got a lot of people.
- 1:22:06SPEAKER_04: You like people to be who they are.
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_04: Cool.
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_04: Who's that person?
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_07: He's no longer on this podcast, but I can see what you're saying because he pisses me the fuck off.
- 1:22:12SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 1:22:15SPEAKER_07: Nah, nah, nah, nah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:22:17SPEAKER_07: Alright, alright.
- 1:22:17SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna be honest.
- 1:22:18SPEAKER_07: Always fighting for each other.
- 1:22:19SPEAKER_07: No, I'm gonna be honest.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_07: No, no, no.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna be honest.
- 1:22:21SPEAKER_07: I I do speak for you.
- 1:22:23SPEAKER_07: No, I do have times where I do want to be an attention whore.
- 1:22:26SPEAKER_07: I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 1:22:27SPEAKER_07: I don't know what it is, but it drives my ego.
- 1:22:29SPEAKER_04: It's that shit that happened with you as a kid with the couch and your brother.
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_04: We all we figured it out this episode.
- 1:22:33SPEAKER_04: So what?
- 1:22:36SPEAKER_03: You were the black sheep of the family.
- 1:22:37SPEAKER_07: So basically, yeah.
- 1:22:39SPEAKER_07: But this person, it's like, like I would never, I would never bash you to one up.
- 1:22:47SPEAKER_07: Like, we have been around women, and I made a joke to him about like a scarf that he had on his head.
- 1:22:52SPEAKER_07: And he would turn around, but it should cost more than your whole fucking outfit.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_07: Oh, he's like all the women looking like he's sensitive.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like you get what I'm saying?
- 1:23:01SPEAKER_07: Like, and it gets to the point where like I let's say I'm playing basketball, going to the gym.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_07: You come with Mad Julia to go to the gym.
- 1:23:07SPEAKER_07: Well, for what?
- 1:23:09SPEAKER_07: Like, that's a different level.
- 1:23:10SPEAKER_08: In case you get pulled over, then the officer's cute, you know?
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_08: You gotta be prepared.
- 1:23:15SPEAKER_08: I'm just saying, that's a different level.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_08: I'm just saying, I'm just saying.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_07: That's a different level.
- 1:23:18SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:20SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:23:21SPEAKER_04: Her question is, how do you circumnavigate that relationship slash?
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_07: I just don't put myself around that person as much.
- 1:23:29SPEAKER_07: So you just avoid that.
- 1:23:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's not it's not like we have a beef or any problem, but it's just I just know like don't make yourself vulnerable for the bullshit.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:23:38SPEAKER_07: Like I just won't put myself in a predicament where like I'm always around this person because I know it's always gonna be an argument and it's gonna turn out to that person be like, oh, you're just a hater when it's like, bro, it's not that it's just like you're doing the most, and I'm trying to show you.
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_07: And I know me, I'm not well with words.
- 1:23:51SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_07: My words, a lot of people always tell me sounds real hostile.
- 1:23:54SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 1:23:55SPEAKER_07: So I just don't go around for the bullshit.
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:59SPEAKER_04: I think that's smart actually.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_07: Like I think that's a smart way to attack.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_04: You feel me?
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_04: You feel me?
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_04: Okay, so you asked a question, so I'm pretty sure you have a story or a person or something in your life that uh prompted this.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_03: No, well, yeah, I had I just have a couple family members.
- 1:24:13SPEAKER_03: You know, mind you, I do I love them and love them stuff.
- 1:24:15SPEAKER_03: They're very close to me.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_03: But it's like it gets it gets frustrating where it's like literally like every situation that they're in, they can only see their perspective.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_03: And then it's not I'm not saying that they're the center of attention, but it's just like they're like incapable of even trying to understand somebody else's perspective.
- 1:24:32SPEAKER_03: Like let's say you know something.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's yes.
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_04: You have women's tendencies.
- 1:24:38SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_08: You can't bash on women that hard.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_08: There's only one in the room, right?
- 1:24:43SPEAKER_08: I'm a feminist, man.
- 1:24:44SPEAKER_08: I can do it.
- 1:24:44SPEAKER_03: No, because most of the people that I know are women.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_03: Even my family, it's a lot of women.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_08: Well, he's saying that it's it's obvious that you have this problem because the people are women.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_08: So he doesn't like when they say it like that.
- 1:24:55SPEAKER_03: No, but hello, you guys are talking about chubs and he's a man.
- 1:24:57SPEAKER_07: So look at how we started off.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_04: How do you how do you handle it?
- 1:25:07SPEAKER_03: So for me, like I do my best to be honest, and some people receive it the wrong way, some people may receive it well.
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_03: Like, it's I try to word my, you know, I choose my words very carefully, and you know, and especially it's hard speaking over the phone.
- 1:25:23SPEAKER_03: Like a lot of these conversations happen over the phone, which shouldn't, yeah, which shouldn't.
- 1:25:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_03: Like, that shit's the devil because like people like even me, I had an argument, I had an argument with um my sister, and I'm like, mind you, we barely argue, but it's just like over the phone, people like to interpret things the wrong way.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I'm not being hostile, I'm I'm not trying to be sarcastic.
- 1:25:45SPEAKER_08: It was You interpreted how you want to proceed, yeah.
- 1:25:47SPEAKER_03: And then I try to remind people like, listen, I'm your sister or whatever, like I love you.
- 1:25:52SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not gonna want anything, you know, bad for you.
- 1:25:56SPEAKER_03: So it's like, why are you I'm not a hostile person, really?
- 1:25:59SPEAKER_03: So it's like why are you interpreting things in such a negative way?
- 1:26:01SPEAKER_07: Like because it to I'm gonna be honest with it it's the way it comes in.
- 1:26:04SPEAKER_03: Like me, it's but then that's on you because that's that's something internal.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_03: That's something internal that they forget to see.
- 1:26:10SPEAKER_03: Like, oh, they don't they think it's just about me and how they feel, but I'm like, you're not even you're not stepping out of your own shoes and thinking about how like why this person is saying this.
- 1:26:19SPEAKER_03: Because you're they're just thinking, like, oh, they think this is.
- 1:26:39SPEAKER_08: Oh, you're a part of the problem.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_08: Fuck you.
- 1:26:41SPEAKER_08: You you and them all.
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_07: Like the way I the way I said the reason why I say it's depending on how it comes to my phone.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_07: Because there's a certain time, like let's say me and like like me and AG had a situation where I sent, we were supposed, we were playing a trip, I sent pla like places like yo, let's do something.
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_07: He said, How about you book something?
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_07: And in that moment, I'm like, yo, what the fuck?
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_07: I was like, all right, fuck it.
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_07: So I made a separate chat with like a couple of my friends, because it was supposed to be my friends and like my they're not your friends anymore.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_07: Well, not my friend, but like it was like two different stories I was mending together.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_07: So I was like, fuck it.
- 1:27:13SPEAKER_07: So I booked with them.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_07: And then when we got to they was like, yo, why the fuck didn't you just book with everybody?
- 1:27:19SPEAKER_07: Why'd you make it a separate?
- 1:27:20SPEAKER_07: I'm like, you said how about you book something?
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_07: Or like if I'm arguing, like, not even arguing, but if I'm having a conversation with a woman and she sends just the letter K, I am flipping the fuck out.
- 1:27:31SPEAKER_07: Oh yeah, that bothers me too.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_07: I am yo, bro, I would I would legit FaceTime you or call you.
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_07: But who the fuck do you think it can?
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_07: Like that shit.
- 1:27:39SPEAKER_04: I think it can be like, I don't give a veins of this nigga.
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_04: Maybe I can't.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_07: I don't, because it's like if you try to shut me the fuck up, like what the fuck?
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_07: No, no, no.
- 1:27:48SPEAKER_07: See, not in the room, but that's what I'm still in each.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_07: It's like, oh, I only get one letter.
- 1:27:52SPEAKER_07: That's not what I just look at the happy birthday, HBD.
- 1:27:56SPEAKER_07: I don't like that shit.
- 1:27:57SPEAKER_07: Like, you No, I don't like that.
- 1:27:58SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, I think that's fucking lazy.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_03: That too.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_03: I think that's like HBD tells me.
- 1:28:04SPEAKER_03: Happy birthday.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_03: If that text is a good thing, I said the meme, I said the meme, a whole bunch of shit.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_03: Happy birthday.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_03: Nah, have that text having the fucking shit exploded.
- 1:28:14SPEAKER_08: Bro, you know what y'all are saying right now?
- 1:28:16SPEAKER_08: I hear this.
- 1:28:17SPEAKER_08: That's crazy.
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_08: You motherfucker ain't calling you to begin with.
- 1:28:21SPEAKER_08: And you're mad that they just sent less letters back.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_08: Shit dry sentence.
- 1:28:25SPEAKER_08: No, because it's like the time you took out.
- 1:28:28SPEAKER_08: Me and two had a conversation.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_08: They had the time to take out from their minds.
- 1:28:31SPEAKER_08: They just want to response to you.
- 1:28:34SPEAKER_08: That's the good enough.
- 1:28:35SPEAKER_03: Look, me and two got the conversation the other day.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_03: People act like they're so busy.
- 1:28:39SPEAKER_07: About like going on live.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_03: That's how America is.
- 1:28:42SPEAKER_03: Everybody's so fucking busy.
- 1:28:43SPEAKER_07: You go on live.
- 1:28:44SPEAKER_07: I've got five seconds.
- 1:28:45SPEAKER_07: We gotta get these healthy shirts, man.
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_07: You go on live and one person joins.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_07: I feel like nobody gives a fuck about me.
- 1:28:51SPEAKER_07: Like, you didn't know what the fuck I went live for.
- 1:28:54SPEAKER_07: But one out of all my friends that are so quote unquote follow me or like my picture, one of y'all motherfuckers join live?
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_07: Damn.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, nah, that I could.
- 1:29:02SPEAKER_07: Like that shit's like, bro, like, so what the fuck are you making my picture?
- 1:29:06SPEAKER_05: I've never used live.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_08: I've never used live.
- 1:29:09SPEAKER_08: I never use live.
- 1:29:10SPEAKER_08: I think I use live by mistake.
- 1:29:14SPEAKER_08: Like, really, really imagine.
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_07: Imagine this shit like this.
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_07: Imagine you, like somebody really get kidnapped, and they was like, yo, I have my phone 10%.
- 1:29:22SPEAKER_07: Yo, let me go live so at least somebody can hear something.
- 1:29:25SPEAKER_07: Oh, you'd be dead somewhere if they didn't.
- 1:29:27SPEAKER_07: You get what I'm saying?
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_07: Like if they went live.
- 1:29:29SPEAKER_07: But you act in my.
- 1:29:30SPEAKER_05: I saw like a good thing.
- 1:29:32SPEAKER_05: Oh, you gotta remember his phone barely works.
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_05: So like he for all he could talk to me.
- 1:29:36SPEAKER_03: It depends on what time did you I at what time did you go live?
- 1:29:39SPEAKER_03: Was it after work hours, sir?
- 1:29:40SPEAKER_07: Bro, I went I went live before workouts, during workouts, after workouts, and there's been no more than fucking five people joining for live.
- 1:29:47SPEAKER_04: Not a celebrity, man.
- 1:29:49SPEAKER_04: So that's what the fuck comes down to.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_07: Let's see the egocentric shit I was talking about.
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_03: They have to be like really close for you to be comfortable enough to join live.
- 1:29:54SPEAKER_03: Because like, let's say a lot of people, when you join live, like they'll shout you out or whatever.
- 1:29:58SPEAKER_03: Like, I've joined my cousins live before, and then you end up really interacting, so a lot of people may not have the time to actually interact that much.
- 1:30:08SPEAKER_05: Go live right now, Chuzz.
- 1:30:10SPEAKER_07: No, no, no.
- 1:30:11SPEAKER_07: I'm about to make a valid point.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_05: Go live.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_05: You've been making a lot as possible.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_07: We should dedicate the episode to him.
- 1:30:19SPEAKER_07: As gas money, we have 415 followers.
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_07: Still?
- 1:30:23SPEAKER_07: Those people are loyal.
- 1:30:25SPEAKER_07: If we go live on like just a random occasion, it's gonna be the same basic people.
- 1:30:32SPEAKER_07: But hey, don't say basic.
- 1:30:34SPEAKER_04: Not basic, but the same group.
- 1:30:36SPEAKER_04: The family of the show.
- 1:30:37SPEAKER_07: The same core.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_07: The same core.
- 1:30:39SPEAKER_07: If I post a picture, I got a hundred and something likes.
- 1:30:43SPEAKER_07: What the fuck is going on here?
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_07: Again.
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_08: Who the fuck is just not?
- 1:30:46SPEAKER_08: You gotta catch that live.
- 1:30:47SPEAKER_08: When you post something, you're giving it to other people to see it at their leisure.
- 1:30:51SPEAKER_08: A millisecond.
- 1:30:52SPEAKER_04: Completely different.
- 1:30:53SPEAKER_04: For instance, I have to take time out of my day to view something.
- 1:30:55SPEAKER_07: Word and it stops on so that that's the point.
- 1:31:04SPEAKER_07: That's the problem.
- 1:31:05SPEAKER_07: No, I see what it's like.
- 1:31:06SPEAKER_07: Y'all go with the fast route, the millisecond.
- 1:31:07SPEAKER_07: That's why y'all niggas type HBD, you motherfuckers.
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_08: But again, I don't even get to this point in the conversation.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_08: I was just about to bring it back.
- 1:31:17SPEAKER_08: The problem you have in these kind of scenarios is that you're too short to communicate.
- 1:31:21SPEAKER_08: You flip out and assume somebody's intent before you figure out what they're actually trying to say.
- 1:31:27SPEAKER_08: So if a K drives you up the wall, anything is gonna drive you crazy.
- 1:31:30SPEAKER_08: Because that's like there's just someone who likes using the word K.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_08: K.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_08: K.
- 1:31:35SPEAKER_08: If you text a paragraph to the person and you're expecting a response and you get a K, that's different.
- 1:31:42SPEAKER_08: Now, if somebody said I'm outside and they just hit a K, I wouldn't flip out for that.
- 1:31:47SPEAKER_07: So again, it depends on how I say I'm outside, I'll prefer you not respond, just come outside and put a K.
- 1:31:54SPEAKER_07: But you see how, like, how much more epic could that Miami trip have been?
- 1:31:58SPEAKER_04: No, no, no, that is gonna misinterpret what I said to you.
- 1:32:01SPEAKER_04: That is a fact.
- 1:32:02SPEAKER_04: So you shouldn't use it as a learning lesson.
- 1:32:04SPEAKER_07: But like like I am going to say, people are people.
- 1:32:08SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_07: It's very hard for us to change our way.
- 1:32:12SPEAKER_07: That is true.
- 1:32:13SPEAKER_07: It's very hard for a person to change their ways so fast.
- 1:32:18SPEAKER_07: That's true.
- 1:32:19SPEAKER_07: There's a lot of shit that that you have seen me used to do that I don't do no more.
- 1:32:24SPEAKER_07: You've grown.
- 1:32:24SPEAKER_07: And how long did that take?
- 1:32:26SPEAKER_03: That's why I know.
- 1:32:27SPEAKER_03: That's why one of my That's why I was like, no, and that's a that's a great point, Jeff, because that's why I ended the question in that way.
- 1:32:34SPEAKER_08: Too many great points for Chubbs.
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_08: We're out of here.
- 1:32:38SPEAKER_03: No, because I'm a type of person, like, you know, they get on me for like, I'm like, why are you still talking to them about this?
- 1:32:44SPEAKER_03: Or like, why do you continue to try to, you know?
- 1:32:47SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm just the type of person who no matter if I know the way you are, I'm still gonna tell you the truth no matter what.
- 1:32:53SPEAKER_03: And a lot of people like like I pose in the question, avoid confrontation and just don't even like to deal with it.
- 1:32:58SPEAKER_03: They'll avoid the person or just won't respond or won't really say much to even get like a back and forth.
- 1:33:04SPEAKER_03: Like who them, they died.
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_03: But I'm just I'm always gonna be I'm always gonna be honest and I'm all like, you know, and you can take it how you want, but I'm not the type of person to just, you know, be fake and just take the easy route in terms of what I say.
- 1:33:18SPEAKER_07: That's a that's another statement I use a lot.
- 1:33:19SPEAKER_07: Take it how you want.
- 1:33:20SPEAKER_03: Because it's like maybe one day, maybe one day it will click in your head and you will understand what I'm saying to you, but if not, like it's up to you.
- 1:33:30SPEAKER_04: Sometimes the the friendships and the relationships just aren't worth it.
- 1:33:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:33:34SPEAKER_04: I'm a person, I don't think I've ever really lost a friend per se.
- 1:33:37SPEAKER_04: But I know chubs, you guys be gonna a lot of friends over things that you your principal.
- 1:33:42SPEAKER_08: That throws them away right over the bridge.
- 1:33:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so you're just like you're just that type of person, which I I don't think that's wrong or right.
- 1:33:48SPEAKER_07: I I just have my my shit.
- 1:33:50SPEAKER_07: There's a fine line that I like how you put it wrong first.
- 1:33:52SPEAKER_07: There's a fine line that I have if you're gonna be my friend.
- 1:33:56SPEAKER_07: And it's like loyalty means a lot to me.
- 1:33:59SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 1:34:00SPEAKER_07: Like I fell out with both of them.
- 1:34:01SPEAKER_08: But your friends should know what you define as a exact.
- 1:34:04SPEAKER_04: That's why I keep trying to explain this.
- 1:34:05SPEAKER_04: Perspective means a lot.
- 1:34:06SPEAKER_04: Loyalty and perspective, you gotta combine.
- 1:34:08SPEAKER_08: Loyalty is just a word.
- 1:34:09SPEAKER_08: Like, you gotta see what really matters to that person.
- 1:34:12SPEAKER_08: Like that long-term friend conversation.
- 1:34:14SPEAKER_05: That's a big fact.
- 1:34:16SPEAKER_05: Especially between me and you, Chubbs.
- 1:34:17SPEAKER_05: We done fell out a hundred times.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_05: And we we're not as close.
- 1:34:22SPEAKER_05: Well, we're pretty close now, but we're not as close as the people that I don't see you talk to now.
- 1:34:26SPEAKER_05: So I just wonder like how the hell we're still friends after all the fouls falling out.
- 1:34:31SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 1:34:32SPEAKER_07: A person like AG plays a very big role in that.
- 1:34:36SPEAKER_07: I'm like, me and him had a fallout, and I'm like, he he texted me, and I looked at my phone and I'm not fucking.
- 1:34:43SPEAKER_05: I don't give a fuck.
- 1:34:44SPEAKER_05: What type of text was this though?
- 1:34:45SPEAKER_05: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:34:48SPEAKER_07: No matter what the fuck you do, you're still my boy or whatever.
- 1:34:51SPEAKER_07: And I was just saying he's still my brother, nigga.
- 1:34:53SPEAKER_07: He said he's still my brother.
- 1:34:54SPEAKER_07: And in my head, I'm like, no, like, you're not gonna be the bigger person in this situation.
- 1:34:57SPEAKER_07: I'm sorry.
- 1:34:58SPEAKER_07: I don't give a fuck.
- 1:34:59SPEAKER_07: What type of nigga is sick, nigga?
- 1:35:02SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:35:03SPEAKER_08: You can't play the aye.
- 1:35:14SPEAKER_07: Like nah, come over my house and make you talk about it.
- 1:35:20SPEAKER_08: Damn, this is shit.
- 1:35:24SPEAKER_07: I was like, nah.
- 1:35:24SPEAKER_08: Yeah, you take that one too.
- 1:35:25SPEAKER_07: And then like you for taking the high road.
- 1:35:28SPEAKER_07: And then it's like, yeah, like after like talking, like we spoke it out or whatever.
- 1:35:31SPEAKER_07: We what you got, but like with other people, it's like it's never, it's never, it's one thing if the problem is always the same problem.
- 1:35:41SPEAKER_07: Like, if let's say we go on a trip as us guys, money, like let's say we go out, we we're having fun, and yeah, like his credit card just cash out.
- 1:35:51SPEAKER_07: But that's like we all cash it out, we all cash it out, and then they got this one person that every time y'all go somewhere, they they don't tell you nothing.
- 1:36:00SPEAKER_07: They don't be like, yo, listen, I don't got it.
- 1:36:02SPEAKER_07: So everybody else knows that we may have to cover a little more.
- 1:36:05SPEAKER_07: We may not need about 30 bottles, let's buy 10.
- 1:36:08SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 1:36:09SPEAKER_07: And it's like you explain to somebody once, you explain to them twice, you explain to them a hundred times, and then you go out of the state that you're you're at to what you go to find out the same shit after they kept telling you, yeah, I got it, this and third, whatever the case, and then it's bullshit to bullshit.
- 1:36:23SPEAKER_07: It's like, bro.
- 1:36:24SPEAKER_08: That's when you actually split receipts and leave that nigga.
- 1:36:26SPEAKER_08: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:36:27SPEAKER_07: There's certain shit I can't do like that.
- 1:36:29SPEAKER_07: And then when you're the when you're the person that's like a given person, like, alright, you know what, I got you, you still my means, and then like they do some fuck boy shit and speak on your name or do some shit behind your back and double cross.
- 1:36:39SPEAKER_07: You're like, alright, now you not only cross the respect level of me always holding you down in certain aspects, now you cross loyalty, fuck you.
- 1:36:46SPEAKER_07: You can't be around me.
- 1:36:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:36:47SPEAKER_07: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:36:48SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:36:48SPEAKER_07: And it's just to a certain point, like, what other people in that circle do, it's like, if you depending on how you move in that situation, when I tell a person, like, yo, I don't give a fuck, you could possibly get cut off too, because if you move a certain way and start doing shady shit too, now I'm trying to think.
- 1:37:05SPEAKER_07: You and that person might be like, all right, fuck him.
- 1:37:07SPEAKER_07: And you might try to be that middleman to try to be in the loop of what I'm doing to hold me down.
- 1:37:12SPEAKER_07: I can't have that.
- 1:37:13SPEAKER_07: I can't carry that way.
- 1:37:14SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 1:37:15SPEAKER_04: This has been the chubbs of the city.
- 1:37:21SPEAKER_04: All jokes aside though, I really think that this podcast is important for like not only you, but all of us to be able to sit here and express ourselves in front of like, you know, our peers and kind of get like ideas bounced off of each other.
- 1:37:32SPEAKER_04: And I'm I'm glad that we have the opportunity to sit here and uh hear you, you know, express yourself.
- 1:37:36SPEAKER_03: And uh And now we won't have to worry about the likes.
- 1:37:40SPEAKER_04: Get some likes up, reforce each other's perspectives.
- 1:37:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:37:43SPEAKER_04: Um, so you guys have uh anything else you guys want to talk about before we run up out of here?
- 1:37:49SPEAKER_05: Luckily, we did all our sports talk on Thursday.
- 1:37:52SPEAKER_05: That was an hour long.
- 1:37:54SPEAKER_05: Much hasn't happened since then.
- 1:37:55SPEAKER_04: He tried to wait.
- 1:37:56SPEAKER_08: No, yeah, I understand.
- 1:37:57SPEAKER_08: How's that bumper, by the way?
- 1:37:59SPEAKER_04: Um, waiting on one of you two to fix it.
- 1:38:01SPEAKER_04: Man, I got two mechanics, bro, an apprentice and a master.
- 1:38:05SPEAKER_08: You just need to bring it by, man.
- 1:38:06SPEAKER_08: Yeah, I know I got you.
- 1:38:07SPEAKER_08: I served the whole weekend in the shop.
- 1:38:09SPEAKER_08: I left the fucking shop to come here because she had to take a taxi.
- 1:38:12SPEAKER_08: I mean for giving her shelter.
- 1:38:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, no, it took me a little bit too long.
- 1:38:16SPEAKER_08: So I wouldn't be alright with that.
- 1:38:19SPEAKER_03: No, I thought he was gonna be at least a little punctual, maybe a couple minutes late.
- 1:38:23SPEAKER_03: That's why I didn't bother getting in.
- 1:38:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:25SPEAKER_04: I was like, damn, it's cold outside.
- 1:38:28SPEAKER_04: I think I gotta move.
- 1:38:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah, perfect time.
- 1:38:30SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 1:38:30SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 1:38:31SPEAKER_04: Um, so uh Chubbs, take us out.
- 1:38:32SPEAKER_07: This has been another episode.
- 1:38:35SPEAKER_07: Oh, no, no, no.
- 1:38:36SPEAKER_07: This hasn't been another episode of Darius being a dumbass money.
- 1:38:41SPEAKER_07: Your name is Chubbs.
- 1:38:45SPEAKER_07: This hasn't been another episode of Chubbs being a dumbass.
- 1:38:48SPEAKER_07: It definitely hasn't been another episode of whoever's fucking podcast you listen to.
- 1:38:52SPEAKER_07: But this has definitely been a great ass episode of Gas Money.
- 1:38:56SPEAKER_04: Can I get a perfect perfect beta?
