- 1:23Speaker 4: we you're going pretty grassy.
- 1:25Speaker 7: Your made dog here, sixth son of a bee.
- 1:27Speaker 6: God.
- 1:27Speaker 7: Doesn't it just get your your loins going? There?
- 1:30Speaker 6: Sure does? Man.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Bit of symbols there and dear yeah going pretty grass
- 1:35Speaker 4: had a bit of a shitter on the odd sweep
- 1:36Speaker 4: department last night, but hey man, I'm here for a
- 1:38Speaker 4: few hours.
- 1:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, for a good time, not a long time,
- 1:42Speaker 7: and I'm just absolutely frothing to get involved today. Of course,
- 1:44Speaker 7: a little bit of football this morning as well, fellow
- 1:46Speaker 7: as a second SEV final England versus Argentina. I saw
- 1:49Speaker 7: some foots kicks off at seven. I was watching something
- 1:52Speaker 7: last night though, was saying that Argentina is a protected
- 1:55Speaker 7: species and he has been right from the start. Mother's
- 1:59Speaker 7: football will from the drawer all the way through, right,
- 2:02Speaker 7: and that the referee is particularly biased towards them. So
- 2:05Speaker 7: it'll be interesting to just see if that in mind
- 2:06Speaker 7: when you're watching the game.
- 2:08Speaker 6: I tell you what, it's going to be, absolutely going off.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Apparently you've got old Beck and Dilly are going to
- 2:14Speaker 6: be at a pub around the place, and so we'll
- 2:16Speaker 6: be crossing to them to get the vibe. Keysy, they've
- 2:19Speaker 6: been there all night, have that.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Yeah that sounds about right, So yeah, we'll cross live
- 2:24Speaker 4: to them. There's a pub downtown where all the fans go. Well,
- 2:27Speaker 4: there's plenty of pubs, but this one in particular, right,
- 2:29Speaker 4: I really switches it on. And to be honest, I'm
- 2:31Speaker 4: very jealous of England fans today. Yeah, you know, like
- 2:35Speaker 4: I feel like football just means so much to them
- 2:38Speaker 4: and they haven't won a World Cup since the.
- 2:39Speaker 6: Sixties, nineteen sixty six, I believe, wavery two years.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Even when the Euros are on and they just go
- 2:45Speaker 4: massive it's coming home and they're singing all the songs
- 2:47Speaker 4: and they fail. But like the Semis, this is a
- 2:51Speaker 4: huge achievement for England football and the fans will be just.
- 2:54Speaker 7: It's quite tricky, isn't it. Yeah, it's a tricky one
- 2:57Speaker 7: because I sort of feel for them and I am
- 2:59Speaker 7: almost root for them because I like English people one
- 3:02Speaker 7: on one, I do same. But their fans are just
- 3:05Speaker 7: mongrels and they wouldn't be good winners, do you know
- 3:08Speaker 7: what I mean about that big shock?
- 3:11Speaker 4: And they were terrible when they lost the penalty shootout
- 3:13Speaker 4: a few years ago.
- 3:14Speaker 6: You know.
- 3:15Speaker 4: But as I've said this before, a lot of the
- 3:18Speaker 4: UK comedians and things that I really like, they love it. Yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 4: and I want them to be stoked, you know what
- 3:23Speaker 4: I mean?
- 3:24Speaker 6: Jace?
- 3:25Speaker 4: Yes, how are you?
- 3:27Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 3:27Speaker 6: I'm very good things fellows. I was saying to Moogi
- 3:29Speaker 6: when I skipped into work today. My body, I think,
- 3:33Speaker 6: is finally fully adjusted to breakfast. So I'm feeling pretty
- 3:37Speaker 6: good looking forward to the show, and it's going to
- 3:38Speaker 6: be an absolute doozy. But let's kick off with a
- 3:41Speaker 6: bit of a tune, shall we? The Dandy Warholes.

- 4:21Speaker 4: Didn't massively give that intro death either.

- 4:49Speaker 4: A lovely care package of some foul It was a

- 5:06Speaker 4: for me to eat. Oh, you're listed at home, man,

- 5:24Speaker 4: Be foul, and then he is sort of you were

- 5:35Speaker 6: You were saying, this would be so much better if

- 14:04Speaker 6: the second semi final England versus Argentina. We asked and
- 14:08Speaker 6: posed the question where are you watching it? What's the
- 14:11Speaker 6: sort of plane here this morning?
- 14:13Speaker 4: That's what you can text it through on three four
- 14:15Speaker 4: eight three. A lot of people listening to this being
- 14:17Speaker 4: new Zealand will be like, oh, I don't like soccer.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I like rugby, and that's fine.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Yeah, that's all g.
- 14:23Speaker 4: But you have to also appreciate the fact that the
- 14:25Speaker 4: Football World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the
- 14:28Speaker 4: entire world. It's the most played sport and it's the
- 14:31Speaker 4: pinnacle of the most played sport in the world.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I mean, I'm one.
- 14:35Speaker 6: Of those people that likes the sporting occasion for the
- 14:37Speaker 6: sort of grangeur of it, you know, the spectacle of it.
- 14:40Speaker 6: I mean, having said that, I do enjoy what watching soccer,
- 14:45Speaker 6: but even if I didn't, I think I'd still enjoy
- 14:47Speaker 6: it just for the spectacle.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Well, billions of people around the world have been excited
- 14:51Speaker 4: about this tournament. I personally do not like watching football,
- 14:55Speaker 4: but I'm fizzed up for it now because it means
- 14:56Speaker 4: a lot to a lot of people.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Have you fizzed up because it means you can get
- 14:59Speaker 6: on the b is he's keysy.
- 15:00Speaker 4: I don't need the World Cup Final to be getting
- 15:02Speaker 4: on the busies, Jesse. Yeah, no, true, A lot of
- 15:05Speaker 4: ticks coming in on three four eight three. Josh is
- 15:08Speaker 4: having a banana up and going a dirry on the
- 15:10Speaker 4: way to the pub. Come on, England.
- 15:13Speaker 6: Look, I can't do banana.
- 15:15Speaker 7: No, not banana.
- 15:16Speaker 4: But it's not you that's doing it. It's Josh.
- 15:19Speaker 7: I like the uniforms.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Well, if that's the reason you watch them, that's good man.
- 15:26Speaker 4: As long as you're you know, enjoy.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Can you imagine and the dudes, can you imagine the
- 15:33Speaker 6: merch sales for a tournament like this, by the way,
- 15:36Speaker 6: incidentally feels there'll be billions of dollars because you're you're
- 15:40Speaker 6: the sort of guy. Yeah, I mean you guys like
- 15:42Speaker 6: buying warriors' shirts and stuff like that. You'd be all
- 15:45Speaker 6: over this. I mean, if you had a choice, Keezy,
- 15:49Speaker 6: what what shirt would you go with?
- 15:53Speaker 4: I guess in all whites?
- 15:55Speaker 6: One?
- 15:56Speaker 4: Lots of people Peter hear him and the fam going
- 15:58Speaker 4: to Tyler Street to watch the foot gets coming home.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Another England fans. Oh yeah, someone who's planning to cause
- 16:03Speaker 4: a major workplace accident just before kickoff, which is seven.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Another person actually is Hoduki's very own Big Sandy's from
- 16:11Speaker 4: the Day Show. Here, she's down at I believe switch up?
- 16:14Speaker 7: Is that right?
- 16:15Speaker 5: Beck?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a sweatshop brew kitchen and it is packed.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's you know, it's six thirty seven on
- 16:22Speaker 4: a Thursday morning, and that is a pub that usually
- 16:25Speaker 4: has packed at about two am in the morning back
- 16:27Speaker 4: on a Saturday. How many people would you say there?
- 16:31Speaker 8: At least counselor hundred? Is it's a little bit of
- 16:35Speaker 8: standing room, but she is.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I mean there's a lot.
- 16:38Speaker 8: Of England supporters here.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I haven't seen any shirt from Argentina.
- 16:42Speaker 6: I was actually going to ask you what's the split
- 16:44Speaker 6: there in terms of the fans, but you're saying predominantly
- 16:48Speaker 6: English predominant.
- 16:49Speaker 2: There are a lot of England flags, there's a lot
- 16:52Speaker 2: of white and red face paints. Yeah, yeah, I mean
- 16:56Speaker 2: I'm sure so I can't see over the heads of
- 16:59Speaker 2: many people, just seeing the backs of people, and it
- 17:01Speaker 2: seems to be all England.
- 17:02Speaker 7: Are you using the semi final as an excuse to
- 17:06Speaker 7: rip heaps of darts?
- 17:07Speaker 6: Beck Ah?
- 17:08Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I'm on the balcony at the moment. What
- 17:12Speaker 8: did I have for breakfast? I had anti drink and
- 17:16Speaker 8: a dart?
- 17:16Speaker 6: Yeah, beautiful, beautiful. It's funny, is it? Because we were
- 17:20Speaker 6: talking earlier Fellers, weren't we about how passionate the English
- 17:22Speaker 6: supporters were? The other day, while I was wandering around
- 17:25Speaker 6: in the CBD. It was I don't know, ten in
- 17:28Speaker 6: the morning something like that, and England must have been
- 17:30Speaker 6: playing because there was a pack of about twenty English
- 17:33Speaker 6: fans at absolutely steamed how good, So obviously there had
- 17:39Speaker 6: been a game going on.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I beg, are people steamed already at the pub?
- 17:44Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 17:44Speaker 2: I mean there's people with empty jugs, well, empty glasses
- 17:47Speaker 2: already and I've only been here seven minutes, so I
- 17:49Speaker 2: don't know what time they got here, but they're enthusiastic.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I love that, you know what I mean. I mean,
- 17:53Speaker 4: obviously responsibly and all that sort of stuff, but I
- 17:56Speaker 4: love the fact that it's six thirty nine and people
- 17:58Speaker 4: are already cracking in on a Thursday. It's going to
- 18:00Speaker 4: be awesome. Big Sandy, thank you so much for joining us.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Have a lovely morning, enjoy the game.
- 18:04Speaker 6: I will go, thanks mate.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The Hold Acting Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy

- 18:16Speaker 6: Thursday morning. The time is six fifty four.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Fellas we announced it at eight am sharp yesterday that

- 18:25Speaker 4: Age are returning to Outiat or New Zealand. It is
- 18:27Speaker 4: happening the twentieth of December, which is a Sunday, So
- 18:30Speaker 4: if that's your final week of work heading into that weekend,
- 18:33Speaker 4: you can start your summer season with an absolute rips
- 18:37Speaker 4: order of a gig. They have special guest band Primus
- 18:40Speaker 4: joining them Mogi Primus. A lot of people are excited

- 18:52Speaker 4: The other supporting act is a band with a swear
- 18:54Speaker 4: word in the title so you can't actually read it
- 18:55Speaker 4: on the radio.
- 18:56Speaker 7: I haven't heard of them before, Tropical if Storm. Yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 7: it's a weird one, doesn't it. You put yourself in
- 19:01Speaker 7: a box.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 4: You put a swear word in the name of your
- 19:03Speaker 4: band and it's kind of hard to get mentioned anywhere.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Yeah, very very good though.
- 19:09Speaker 7: I can't wait to hear them and find out what
- 19:11Speaker 7: they're actually like and then talk to you about it.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Then you obviously have never heard them before.
- 19:15Speaker 6: They are amazing. I love their song heavy Rain.
- 19:19Speaker 7: Oh is that your favorite?
- 19:20Speaker 4: Is that a real song. Yes, have you googled it? No,
- 19:24Speaker 4: there's no way you know a song from Tropical Evstorm.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 19:29Speaker 7: Yesterday Queens of the stone Age released a new single
- 19:32Speaker 7: entitled easy Street, A bit more of a ballad. It's
- 19:35Speaker 7: a lovely little number Josh got. He's got their minim
- 19:39Speaker 7: and it's he's singing along with a lovely lady there.
- 19:43Speaker 7: So it looks like they'll have a new album between
- 19:45Speaker 7: now and the and the concert in December, which will
- 19:47Speaker 7: be a bloody beardy.
- 19:49Speaker 6: I'm a big fan of the old ballad. You know,
- 19:52Speaker 6: what do you say, old misery?
- 19:54Speaker 7: Gats? Isn't it any kind of misery?
- 19:57Speaker 6: Really depressing? Yeah, you know, tugs on the heart strings.
- 20:02Speaker 6: I absolutely love it.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Tropical f Storm or TFEZ does not have a song
- 20:07Speaker 4: called heavy Rain.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Oh they only just released it this morning.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Come on, Jason Man, just drop it then once again,
- 20:16Speaker 4: Queen's of the stone Age coming to Auckland one show
- 20:19Speaker 4: only at the Stage Spark Arena, son of the twentieth
- 20:21Speaker 4: of December, Livenation, dot co, dot m Z for tickets
- 20:24Speaker 4: this Monday, one pm.
- 20:25Speaker 6: Great stuff coming up after seven, boy, there's some drama
- 20:28Speaker 6: that's hit the country. Fellas, we'll be getting into that.
- 20:30Speaker 6: And speaking of trade ees, God, I had an absolute
- 20:33Speaker 6: debacle yesterday.
- 20:37Speaker 1: The Wholdiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 20:40Speaker 1: in week days at four on radio.
- 20:42Speaker 6: Hold ikey, Yeah, welcome back your messive backbones. Hope you
- 20:46Speaker 6: are surviving your Thursday morning. You are listening to the
- 20:49Speaker 6: Big Show Breakfast brought to you by Bunnings Trade.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Build Big Rewards with new power Pass pro rewards by
- 20:59Speaker 4: Bunning's Trade.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Yim men. Very excited about this match, Fellas. My worrying
- 21:06Speaker 6: concern is I'm going to be highly distracted for the
- 21:09Speaker 6: rest of the show.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Well, you would be, except for the channel that it's
- 21:12Speaker 4: usually on on the TV.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Yeah, what's going on there?
- 21:15Speaker 4: What happens is someone someone upstairs logs in thin stream
- 21:20Speaker 4: Bogsy logs in and it streams to everyone in the
- 21:22Speaker 4: radio studios here, so we can keep sat across it.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Whoever's in charge of that hasn't actually come and logged
- 21:27Speaker 4: in it yet, right, I'll just google it, hang on.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Get you googlers out.
- 21:32Speaker 6: Well, what we could do is, you know, if we
- 21:33Speaker 6: can't get it, is get the audience on three four
- 21:35Speaker 6: eight three to text through what's happening minute by minutes
- 21:39Speaker 6: at all at the so it's actually started. We do
- 21:43Speaker 6: have a couple of backbones from the hod A Key
- 21:46Speaker 6: office down at the bar. What's the bar called?
- 21:48Speaker 4: Switch Up Sweatshop.
- 21:49Speaker 6: So we'll be crossing to them intermittently, yes, through throughout
- 21:55Speaker 6: the morning. But I believe coming up next, Keysy, you've
- 21:58Speaker 6: got some Keysy new news.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Yeah that's right, some important Keysy news. What's it called?
- 22:04Speaker 4: What's in the news with me? Keysy? It's no news
- 22:06Speaker 4: to do with my personal life.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Oh ah, yeah, that's not as exciting thing. But at
- 22:10Speaker 6: the meantime, here's Red.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Chilli Peppers, the Darky Big Show was Jason, Mike and
- 22:18Speaker 1: Keyzy tune in four on radio.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Yes, indeed the Red Chilli Peppers there on the radio
- 22:26Speaker 6: Hodaki Big Show. Breakfast at the moment, eight minutes gone
- 22:29Speaker 6: between England and Gentina, Love Love, Yes, But right now
- 22:36Speaker 6: it's time for.
- 22:39Speaker 4: What's on the news with me? Kimzy Fellers H five
- 22:47Speaker 4: N one has been found in New Zealand. Hadden bird
- 22:50Speaker 4: flu Ah. There was a bird down in Patoni there
- 22:53Speaker 4: which is down in Wellington, a wild bird that was
- 22:56Speaker 4: acting weird. So they took it to the zoom tested
- 22:58Speaker 4: at boom bird flu.
- 22:59Speaker 6: What was it doing? Uh?
- 23:00Speaker 4: Wow, I don't know. I wasn't there, but I said
- 23:02Speaker 4: it wasn't acting in the way that a normal wild
- 23:05Speaker 4: bird would act.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Really.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe it was being pretty chill.
- 23:08Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it was so chill that it was dead.
- 23:12Speaker 7: I think they're tfty migrating birds. Oh really, I think
- 23:16Speaker 7: so that is weird. Seen that before it.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Did bird So basically, the way bird flu works is
- 23:26Speaker 4: it does mostly infect birds, but it can wipe out
- 23:32Speaker 4: you know, like if it gets into the mix with
- 23:34Speaker 4: our a native species, you know, that could be very
- 23:36Speaker 4: beat our endangered birds. Oh really, it could be really bad.
- 23:40Speaker 6: It has the MOA.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Well, the moa is already the more has already gone
- 23:44Speaker 4: Mogi bird flu maybe. And there's no sort of history
- 23:51Speaker 4: of it moving from human to human yet. Humans can
- 23:55Speaker 4: get it from interacting with birds, but human to human transmission.
- 23:59Speaker 4: There aren't any cases of that happening, which is good.
- 24:02Speaker 6: I think people, though, you know, in that context, should
- 24:06Speaker 6: stay alert, you know what I mean. I think it's
- 24:08Speaker 6: important to just you know, chin out for well, I mean,
- 24:12Speaker 6: if you start, for example, picking at your food. Yeah,
- 24:17Speaker 6: that's right, Um.
- 24:21Speaker 4: If you start being a picky eater, is what you mean?
- 24:23Speaker 6: Well, it's more specifically picking, not pecky. Well I suppose
- 24:28Speaker 6: it would be. You could characterize it as pecky.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure, yeah, if you see someone picking
- 24:36Speaker 4: at their food. But I mean this could be really
- 24:39Speaker 4: devastating for you know, poultry, the poultry industry, for example,
- 24:43Speaker 4: forgets into one of them chicken sheds.
- 24:45Speaker 7: Oh man, that's she's lights out, wipes out all the chickens.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah, Mogi spot on.
- 24:54Speaker 6: In terms of human though, I mean keeping an eye
- 24:57Speaker 6: out if you find yourself wanting to.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Roost, yes, you know, just what do you say about
- 25:04Speaker 4: roost like trees? And that's funny actually because my next
- 25:07Speaker 4: door neighbor. I saw my next door neighbor. He was
- 25:09Speaker 4: up a tree. He's too old for that, Yeah sick.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Did he have like straws and stuff in his mouth
- 25:15Speaker 6: or toes.
- 25:20Speaker 7: And his toes he dropped a steamer on his cars
- 25:24Speaker 7: car was parked on the road there.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Oh but yeah, so just look, if you see any
- 25:33Speaker 4: birds acting weird.
- 25:34Speaker 7: How of a mess shocking?
- 25:38Speaker 6: Will you say he like he's fond of the hot pot,
- 25:40Speaker 6: your neighbor, And.
- 25:46Speaker 4: That's the news you need to be across this Thursday morning.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Do you like Pluto?
- 25:52Speaker 6: That's great news, that's terrible news. Well, I mean in
- 25:59Speaker 6: terms of keeping keeping people across stuff.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Yeah, cool.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Thanks the hold aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 26:07Speaker 10: Tune in week days at four on Radio Pluto.
- 26:11Speaker 6: There on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The
- 26:14Speaker 6: time is sixteen minutes past seven o'clock at the moment
- 26:17Speaker 6: in the football still mil Nell after fifteen minutes. Now, Fellas,
- 26:23Speaker 6: we love our tradeing, chat and true story. Yesterday I
- 26:25Speaker 6: had two trade's come and visit my what the trades? Well,
- 26:31Speaker 6: one was an electrician, Oh yeah, why bender?
- 26:36Speaker 4: What was it?
- 26:37Speaker 6: Wyre monkey monkey? Yeah yeah? And the other was a
- 26:42Speaker 6: refrigerator guy. I don't know what that trade is, cliants
- 26:48Speaker 6: person technician.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Yeah right, And obviously you're a part of fridge jerk.
- 26:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 4: They were called yeah, yeah, a fridge idiot.
- 27:01Speaker 6: That's right, Yeah, a freezer loser. He was a lovely
- 27:04Speaker 6: guy though, by the way.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Yeah, this is just fun nicknames.
- 27:07Speaker 6: And he taught me so much stuff about the fridge
- 27:09Speaker 6: that I never knew. But anyway, this is a true story.
- 27:13Speaker 6: So the electrician came over because we'd been having issues
- 27:17Speaker 6: with our lights, right, like the light bulbs weren't working.
- 27:21Speaker 6: They flick it right, No, they just weren't working. I
- 27:24Speaker 6: mean working, but there's there was like three or four
- 27:27Speaker 6: light bulbs, but no, I just don't know. They just
- 27:30Speaker 6: weren't working.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Did you try to turn in the switch on?
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yes, and they still wouldn't work.
- 27:35Speaker 6: And they still wouldn't work, and I was like, hang
- 27:39Speaker 6: it out. Yeah yeah, So straight onto the property manager
- 27:44Speaker 6: our lights, our light bulbs aren't working.
- 27:46Speaker 7: You didn't even get off the couch, did you know?
- 27:50Speaker 6: And they said, oh, that's all. G will sort that
- 27:53Speaker 6: for you. And I said thank you.
- 27:55Speaker 7: So what did they say?
- 27:57Speaker 6: They went, you're welcome and then what did you say?
- 28:00Speaker 6: I went, sweet?
- 28:03Speaker 4: Did you ever hang upward? I was an email.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Anyway, m So electrician turned up. This is true story
- 28:21Speaker 6: and he said, so what's the issue and I said,
- 28:22Speaker 6: my light bulbs aren't working. He said, well, have you
- 28:25Speaker 6: changed them? And I went nah. So I went on, okay, well, Lisa,
- 28:32Speaker 6: is that I'll do that for you? The yeah, that's
- 28:35Speaker 6: good because the other thing is that you wouldn't know
- 28:37Speaker 6: about me is I don't have a ladder.
- 28:40Speaker 4: So you got that stip ladder in the kitchen.
- 28:42Speaker 6: Yeah, but we're quite high ceilings in my apartment.
- 28:46Speaker 4: And for the listens, they're actually regular ceilings.
- 28:50Speaker 6: So he changed three light bulbs and turn the sweatshe on.
- 28:54Speaker 7: Did that worked?
- 28:56Speaker 6: They worked? That's crazy And I said, thanks for that, mate,
- 28:59Speaker 6: And my wife was like, it was a bit embarrassing.
- 29:01Speaker 6: We've got an electrician over to change the light bulbs.
- 29:04Speaker 4: What was wrong with your fridge?
- 29:06Speaker 5: Now?
- 29:06Speaker 6: The fridge was making a kind of whirring grindy sound.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Oh yeah, intermittently, and also it was freezing up a
- 29:17Speaker 6: little bit inside. But that was like two weeks ago.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Since then it's been fine. But we let the property
- 29:25Speaker 6: manageer know via email Moogi that the fridge was playing
- 29:30Speaker 6: up a little bit, and she went, oh, no worries
- 29:32Speaker 6: at all. I'll sort that.
- 29:34Speaker 4: I'll send a what is it.
- 29:36Speaker 6: A technician, Yeah, a fridge technician. Yeah, yeah, a fridge loser. Yeah.
- 29:41Speaker 6: So he came over, true story, and it's working fine now.
- 29:45Speaker 6: As I say, it's been fine for two weeks.
- 29:47Speaker 7: He wasted his time.
- 29:48Speaker 6: Yeah, Well, he came up and he looked, he looked
- 29:50Speaker 6: over it and he said this, I can't see a
- 29:53Speaker 6: problem here. The temperatures fine, the fans working fine.
- 29:57Speaker 4: What did you say?
- 29:58Speaker 6: And I went sweet? And then he was like, your
- 30:02Speaker 6: ice maker's fine, and this is true. When we've got
- 30:06Speaker 6: an ice maker, that's.
- 30:07Speaker 4: What's making the grinding noise.
- 30:09Speaker 6: I was gonna say, we've got an ice smoke. You
- 30:12Speaker 6: caught it brown.
- 30:13Speaker 4: It was the ice maker.
- 30:15Speaker 6: And I was wondering why our ice container kept filling
- 30:18Speaker 6: up all the time, and I was like, are you
- 30:21Speaker 6: making ice? We've got an ice making machine. It's bloody
- 30:25Speaker 6: good dish. So it was a bit of an embarrassing
- 30:28Speaker 6: day for old hoodie Jay, you said, he but ah,
- 30:31Speaker 6: you know, that's just my life. Dandy.
- 30:33Speaker 1: The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodarchy,
- 30:41Speaker 1: Sport headlines, Rodcom.
- 30:46Speaker 9: Time for your later sport headlines thanks to Export Ultra
- 30:49Speaker 9: the beer for here. Now, fellas, I've got a week
- 30:51Speaker 9: surprise for you. I've done a poem, oh wow, And
- 30:55Speaker 9: I've done the sport headlines and a poem.
- 30:58Speaker 4: All right, hang on, hang on an original poem from broom.
- 31:02Speaker 9: Rod Thomas too kill knows. England now face their toughest
- 31:09Speaker 9: World Cup test in the race. Argentina await in Atlanta
- 31:14Speaker 9: today it's nell all with a final place up for play?
- 31:20Speaker 6: How is that.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Now?
- 31:23Speaker 9: Kurdod by the way, the winner meats Spain. When Monday
- 31:28Speaker 9: rolls around Ryan Fox rhyme, Yeah, well I just forgot.
- 31:33Speaker 7: Monday rolls around Hound. You could have made a green day.
- 31:36Speaker 11: No, I could have.
- 31:37Speaker 9: Ryan Fox won't over prepare as Golf's Open Championship gets underway.
- 31:43Speaker 9: There he missed the cut last year, so he's keeping
- 31:48Speaker 9: things light.
- 31:49Speaker 7: So where is that? Where is that?
- 31:51Speaker 9: That's at Royal Birkdale tonight? And finally in women's sport
- 31:58Speaker 9: today is you know we're big on that. FIFA has
- 32:02Speaker 9: been criticized for allowing Jennifer Hudson to sing the US
- 32:05Speaker 9: national anthem at the closing ceremony, term rost care.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Jase, Have you dont anything to say about that? Man?
- 32:15Speaker 6: I'm just disgusted man.
- 32:16Speaker 7: Yeah, what part of it really gets you going? Because
- 32:19Speaker 7: I know that you've had an issue previously with Brent
- 32:22Speaker 7: Pumpkins's definition of what a woman's sport is and whether
- 32:26Speaker 7: she sings a national anthem. It's neither he nor the
- 32:29Speaker 7: Particularly the men's event is that woman's sport?
- 32:35Speaker 6: That was going to be my point, Magie. That gets
- 32:37Speaker 6: deep inside my goat. That the only woman's sport that
- 32:43Speaker 6: seems to bring to the to the show. There's kind
- 32:48Speaker 6: of degradating in a way that's more a negative aspect
- 32:52Speaker 6: of women's sport as opposed to the celebration that it
- 32:55Speaker 6: should be.
- 32:55Speaker 7: It minimizes their contribution.
- 32:57Speaker 9: Thank You's singer though, Jennifer Hudson, very good, great woman,
- 33:02Speaker 9: very very good.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Good stuff.
- 33:06Speaker 11: Brian, thanks guys, love the poem.
- 33:08Speaker 7: Yeah, she's got no side step on though, Bruin.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Now she runs it straight though.
- 33:18Speaker 6: Here's Jet.
- 33:20Speaker 1: The Darky Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 33:23Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 33:26Speaker 6: Isn't he Jet there? On the Big Show Breakfast this
- 33:29Speaker 6: Thursday morning? The time is seven thirty nine. The score
- 33:32Speaker 6: and the football at the moment nil all after thirty
- 33:35Speaker 6: nine minutes.
- 33:36Speaker 7: Fellows, Fellers, I've got a I've got a cat, got
- 33:39Speaker 7: a cat at at New Year's there budget Chris Queer.
- 33:47Speaker 4: And that was named by the hurdarky audience.
- 33:49Speaker 7: That's right after you keazy from your teenage days when
- 33:53Speaker 7: because people at Breakfast, a lot of them wait no,
- 33:56Speaker 7: so we need to get them up to date. But
- 33:58Speaker 7: every day you walk to school in a bird would
- 34:00Speaker 7: take it.
- 34:02Speaker 4: For one week as a joke. My friends at skill
- 34:05Speaker 4: called me birdshit cress. All right, it's a long story.
- 34:07Speaker 4: It's really lame. And now it's the name of your cat,
- 34:11Speaker 4: and my cat loves it.
- 34:13Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 34:13Speaker 7: She's sort of got into an age now, she's probably
- 34:15Speaker 7: seven months oldish, and she started hunting. This is a
- 34:19Speaker 7: day I dreaded because animals, cats, obviously they're bringing bringing
- 34:24Speaker 7: trophies into the house. They give them to you to
- 34:27Speaker 7: sort of pay their rent. And what that is is,
- 34:29Speaker 7: you know, birds with no heads and mice with their
- 34:32Speaker 7: guts hanging out and all that sort of stuff. Tails,
- 34:35Speaker 7: thank you, and they sort of dragged it across your
- 34:37Speaker 7: couch and that's a gift.
- 34:40Speaker 6: Cheers.
- 34:41Speaker 7: So my cat started doing that. My cat's a massive,
- 34:44Speaker 7: basted already huge, and it started bringing in earthworms, bird flu,
- 34:54Speaker 7: It might have bird foot, it's acting weird.
- 34:57Speaker 4: It might be yes, shit, so earth how big.
- 35:03Speaker 7: A big enough to choke a blackbird? Yeah, sort of
- 35:07Speaker 7: about sort of nine inches nine inches or so. They're kasy,
- 35:15Speaker 7: but brings them in, drops them off in my daughter's
- 35:17Speaker 7: bedroom there because she's the she's the favored member of
- 35:21Speaker 7: the family. But I've got to admit that I'd rather
- 35:24Speaker 7: that than than birds or rats or anything like that.
- 35:27Speaker 7: And I'm hoping, I hoping it's not going to get worse,
- 35:28Speaker 7: But it don't get me thinking about what would be
- 35:30Speaker 7: the worst thing that your cat has brought in? Because
- 35:32Speaker 7: they bring in weird stuff.
- 35:34Speaker 6: Oh they do, yeah, they do.
- 35:35Speaker 7: We're this cat Harry McCleary.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Oh, I know.
- 35:38Speaker 7: It was swinking, blinky, sorry, and that was bringing in
- 35:40Speaker 7: all sorts from around the neighbor neighborhood, like lingerie.
- 35:45Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, yeah, a feaving cat. I back in the
- 35:51Speaker 6: when I was a teenager, we had our cat. Ginger
- 35:54Speaker 6: was her name, because she was Ginger and we're really
- 35:58Speaker 6: original at naming our animals. She used to do your rats,
- 36:04Speaker 6: et cetera. Cure. One day she brought in a cooney
- 36:07Speaker 6: cooney pig.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Wow, a baby one, no, full bore, full bore, Yeah,
- 36:15Speaker 4: like a giant cooney cooney pig. Yes, how did you
- 36:18Speaker 4: bring that in?
- 36:19Speaker 6: Just dragged it in by the tail?
- 36:21Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 36:21Speaker 4: By the tail was the pig?
- 36:23Speaker 6: Did? Yes?
- 36:25Speaker 4: Wow?
- 36:25Speaker 7: Holy because that's huge.
- 36:27Speaker 6: Yeah. They're big, big beasts.
- 36:29Speaker 4: And they're not that great for eating.
- 36:30Speaker 6: Oh they're not you just got to let the marinade
- 36:33Speaker 6: for a little while.
- 36:34Speaker 4: The entire pig.
- 36:35Speaker 6: Yes, So I think that would be the weirdest thing
- 36:38Speaker 6: of my cat.
- 36:39Speaker 4: When I was growing up, our family cat and Totnguer
- 36:41Speaker 4: there on the avocado plantation, she'd bring in rabbits, rabbits
- 36:47Speaker 4: with the heads taken off.
- 36:48Speaker 5: That.
- 36:48Speaker 6: I don't believe that, because rabbits are really fast. Cats.
- 36:53Speaker 6: Cats are as fast as a rabbit. Come on, Keezy,
- 36:57Speaker 6: you're taking the pass.
- 36:59Speaker 7: Just woken up man, Come on.
- 37:01Speaker 4: His cat brought Yeah.
- 37:04Speaker 7: Imagine you was bringing in all sorts, wasn't it.
- 37:06Speaker 6: J Yeah, she was. Yeah.
- 37:09Speaker 4: I made it up, guys for attention. My cat didn't
- 37:11Speaker 4: really bring in rabbits and tried to, but they were
- 37:13Speaker 4: too fast. Jase, you were saying that your cat, Now,
- 37:15Speaker 4: what's your cat's? What's your cat called? Jezz yep.
- 37:24Speaker 6: As named by the Radio Hodaki listeners to incidental There.
- 37:28Speaker 7: Was your nickname curious and now you've moved into the CBD.
- 37:32Speaker 7: You're saying she dreaged in a homeless bloke.
- 37:34Speaker 1: The hold Aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 37:37Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hold Aki Nirvana.
- 37:40Speaker 6: They're on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The
- 37:44Speaker 6: time is seven fifty one half time in the football
- 37:47Speaker 6: zero zero nil, Nill Fellas was that in mine? We've
- 37:51Speaker 6: got an expert on the line commentator Jason pine Piney
- 37:55Speaker 6: a man barton, how's life morning? Boys?
- 37:59Speaker 5: I can't believe it on a row, two mornings in
- 38:01Speaker 5: a row and you're esteemed company. It's quite the career highlight.
- 38:05Speaker 5: I must say.
- 38:06Speaker 7: We just thought we'd better get you at halftime because
- 38:08Speaker 7: we know how you like slam and Bear's first thing
- 38:10Speaker 7: in the morning. Tiny.
- 38:13Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I normally wait till halftime. You're actually dragging
- 38:16Speaker 5: me away. However, you'll have noticed the hydration breaks have
- 38:20Speaker 5: been introduced this year to the World Cup, so they'd
- 38:22Speaker 5: be very handy for that sort of thing.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Yes, totally, Piney, You've been having hydration breaks for years.
- 38:26Speaker 7: Eh, right, exactly.
- 38:28Speaker 5: The football is really incidental to me.
- 38:30Speaker 6: It's hydration on there for now. Piney, if you on
- 38:34Speaker 6: that first half, Moggie was just saying, oh few, this
- 38:37Speaker 6: has got penalty shootout written all over it. But what
- 38:41Speaker 6: was your your center? That first half?
- 38:43Speaker 5: Absolute street fight. These guys might as be out there
- 38:46Speaker 5: with baseball bats and ships and their socks. They are
- 38:49Speaker 5: just absolutely going at one another. You know, the ball
- 38:51Speaker 5: seems almost incidental at times. It was always going to
- 38:54Speaker 5: be a bit nikolie Argentina, a bit like that. England
- 38:57Speaker 5: trying to sort of stay and keep the moral high ground.
- 39:00Speaker 5: But yeah, it's a street fight.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Yep.
- 39:01Speaker 5: It could go all the way to extra time and penalties.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Someone's going to get a red card in the second half.
- 39:07Speaker 5: I'm almost certain of it. It's a it's a tinder
- 39:09Speaker 5: box just waiting to go off.
- 39:11Speaker 4: It is piney. Obviously we've got you've got England taking
- 39:14Speaker 4: on Argentina. England, you know, famously haven't won a World
- 39:17Speaker 4: Cup since the sixties, nineteen sixty six EASi, they famously
- 39:22Speaker 4: haven't won a World Cup since the sixties. The fans
- 39:24Speaker 4: are desperate. Every couple of years, it's coming home. It's
- 39:27Speaker 4: coming home. How do you feel about that? And who
- 39:30Speaker 4: are you going for?
- 39:31Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 39:31Speaker 5: I don't know. I mean I'd almost like to see
- 39:33Speaker 5: what would happen if it didn't come home, because they
- 39:35Speaker 5: you know, and that hers has extended year sixty years
- 39:39Speaker 5: of herd could it be sixty four years? I don't know.
- 39:41Speaker 6: Well, if it doesn't come home pioneer. I could see
- 39:43Speaker 6: a massively extended hydration break.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Exactly, There'll be no work done for the next four years,
- 39:50Speaker 5: just hydration until the next one. Look, they could still
- 39:53Speaker 5: win the game, England. They could, They could win the game.
- 39:55Speaker 5: They could win it, you know, with a moment of
- 39:57Speaker 5: magic from Bellingham or from Cain. But they're just as
- 40:00Speaker 5: likely to fall victim to a moment of magic from Messi.
- 40:02Speaker 5: So look, you can't really call it one while or
- 40:05Speaker 5: the other. I'd like to see them go through just
- 40:07Speaker 5: so that the hydration break can be extended in England
- 40:11Speaker 5: until at least Monday.
- 40:12Speaker 4: What about Leedo Messi obviously striker for Argentina. There just
- 40:17Speaker 4: the amount of World Cups he's been to, the amount
- 40:19Speaker 4: of games played, the amount of goals scored. At his age,
- 40:22Speaker 4: he's just a freak incredible.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Yeah, thirty nine years old, sixth World Cup, hasn't really
- 40:27Speaker 5: got into the game. England have been pretty good at
- 40:28Speaker 5: marshaling him. But he only needs one moment Messi. He's
- 40:32Speaker 5: done that plenty of times. Twenty one World Cup goals,
- 40:35Speaker 5: any number of attacking statue can reel off incredible players.
- 40:39Speaker 5: So yeah, he just needs one moment so England need
- 40:42Speaker 5: to make sure that he doesn't get that moment.
- 40:43Speaker 6: Well, speaking of the tinder box, he got absolutely crunched
- 40:47Speaker 6: at one point sandwich between two players. It was a
- 40:51Speaker 6: nasty bit of play.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and I think that's sometimes the only way
- 40:55Speaker 5: to stop him is to do that, is to sort
- 40:58Speaker 5: of use the dark art if you like. But you know,
- 41:01Speaker 5: the lot of ye a better've had of it, a
- 41:05Speaker 5: street fighting, a bit of you know, sort of backhanded stuff.
- 41:08Speaker 5: But you know, he's seen it all before me. See,
- 41:11Speaker 5: he looks like a he looks like a guy who's
- 41:14Speaker 5: just sort of wandered into a football match, almost by
- 41:16Speaker 5: a mistake sometimes, but he's got this incredible ability to
- 41:20Speaker 5: turn games. So you got to keep him quiet somehow.
- 41:22Speaker 4: And Piney before you that, you go, mate, what is
- 41:24Speaker 4: your prediction for the second half.
- 41:27Speaker 5: I think we could still be going, you know, well
- 41:29Speaker 5: beyond the ninety into extra time. I think this has
- 41:31Speaker 5: got penalties written all over it actually, Like like Moggi said,
- 41:35Speaker 5: so look I I yeah, I don't think we're going
- 41:37Speaker 5: to be We're going to be focusing on anything else
- 41:40Speaker 5: anytime soon other than this game.
- 41:42Speaker 6: No, Jason, pine your alligion, mate, Thanks for your time
- 41:45Speaker 6: and enjoy that second half. Good boys, Hey coming up,
- 41:52Speaker 6: real treat for you league. He's out. Yeah, we've got
- 41:56Speaker 6: Roger Tui Vasa Schick in studio with us. I can't
- 41:59Speaker 6: wait for as I am absolutely physic.
- 42:05Speaker 1: The whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Hold Ichy, You're welcome back your messive backbones. I hope
- 42:15Speaker 6: you get in through your Thursday morning tickety boo. You're

- 42:37Speaker 6: IVE got a bit of stuff I need to do
- 42:38Speaker 6: around the house.
- 42:39Speaker 4: And don't and I think, will you lie about sponsors?
- 42:45Speaker 6: Just a few things to patch up.
- 42:46Speaker 7: The thing I love about going into Bunnings is they
- 42:49Speaker 7: know you by a name.
- 42:51Speaker 6: Yes, good E Mogi.
- 42:52Speaker 7: Really I don't know their names.
- 42:56Speaker 6: After some timber a hoodages.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Sorry, you literally had an electrician come around yesterday to
- 43:03Speaker 4: replace light bulbs and you're buying timber Well.
- 43:06Speaker 6: I don't do electrical stuff, but I do like to build.
- 43:11Speaker 7: Isn't a wire bend? There are no, I'm not.
- 43:14Speaker 4: You're a hammer hand.
- 43:15Speaker 6: If you want me to whip up a bookshelf, frut
- 43:19Speaker 6: on bit, whatever you want, if there's what involved, I'm in.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Coming up a little later in the show, Fellers Roger
- 43:29Speaker 4: ty Bastership coming in.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Yes, God, I'm excited about that.
- 43:34Speaker 7: You can talk to them about how much you hate
- 43:36Speaker 7: the Warriors, Jase, I hate.
- 43:38Speaker 6: Yes.
- 43:40Speaker 7: Well, we've got a montage of all the times you've
- 43:42Speaker 7: said the suck and we're going to play that out
- 43:45Speaker 7: once we get Roger in the studio here.
- 43:50Speaker 6: You haven't.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Why would you be worried about that? I'm worried man,
- 43:55Speaker 4: So you've obviously bade them a lot. Then never Also,
- 43:58Speaker 4: coming up this hour, your ear out. If you hear
- 44:01Speaker 4: the pirates, give us a call on eight hundred Hadarchy
- 44:04Speaker 4: the pies that pay you could win two hundred and
- 44:06Speaker 4: fifty dollars thanks to Dad's past.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Ye am, I going grab myself a part A.
- 44:09Speaker 4: But peckish, here's the killer, stop lying about stuff.
- 44:14Speaker 1: The whole Archy big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 44:17Speaker 1: tune in weekdays and four on radio used.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Indeed, the Killers now so close still nelll and the
- 44:25Speaker 6: Socker forty seven minutes gone.
- 44:27Speaker 4: It's England v Argentina in the semi final of the
- 44:29Speaker 4: World Cup. Fellers. I've got a proposal for you. I
- 44:32Speaker 4: was thinking about this last night.
- 44:35Speaker 7: Oh is it hot?
- 44:36Speaker 4: No, but it's cool. Just it's a cool idea. We
- 44:40Speaker 4: work in radio, right h and podcasting at audio and
- 44:43Speaker 4: all that sort of stuff.
- 44:44Speaker 6: This go gets it.
- 44:46Speaker 4: We're on usually four pm till seven New Zealand Time weekdays,
- 44:53Speaker 4: but New Zealand Time happens at anytime around the world.
- 44:58Speaker 4: When I'm proposing the big show, all relocate to Italy, Japan,
- 45:08Speaker 4: where you wherever it might be, Vietnam, Jason, all of
- 45:11Speaker 4: us together Vietnam be good. You could get a house
- 45:14Speaker 4: and maybe over winter condo.
- 45:16Speaker 6: Probably I'd go to condo.
- 45:19Speaker 4: You're the expert over winter next year. You know, when
- 45:22Speaker 4: it's cold here, we relocate. We just get up at
- 45:26Speaker 4: whatever time it is. I haven't actually what's the time
- 45:28Speaker 4: difference to Vietnam.
- 45:29Speaker 6: No, I can't remember.
- 45:30Speaker 7: Actually, you put your watch away, you put your clock away, man,
- 45:35Speaker 7: when it's when you're in Vietnam.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but obviously for this proposal, there would be a
- 45:40Speaker 4: time role.
- 45:41Speaker 7: It was just no time.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Yes, but that's the whole point is there.
- 45:45Speaker 6: We could become summer Bunny's keezy.
- 45:47Speaker 4: The hell's a summer. But if you're not seen the
- 45:49Speaker 4: summer Bunny before, maybe you'll have to explain to me
- 45:54Speaker 4: what a summer.
- 45:55Speaker 6: You know those people that just go from country, they
- 45:57Speaker 6: just catch the summer. They never go through winter.
- 46:00Speaker 7: The sun Chases or summer Bunnies.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Oh, summer bunny.
- 46:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:04Speaker 6: Yeah, and we're just and the big show. You know,
- 46:07Speaker 6: wherever it is summer in the world, so in the
- 46:10Speaker 6: UK or something like that. At the moment, we ship
- 46:12Speaker 6: ourselves over there for the summer. Yeah, then when it
- 46:15Speaker 6: starts to change, we go to another place in the.
- 46:17Speaker 4: World and it's awesome here where is it summer?
- 46:23Speaker 7: No, we chase the surf.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Surf chases, surf bunnies. What do you think we could
- 46:30Speaker 4: become surf bunnies. We chase the surf. And all we
- 46:33Speaker 4: have to do is that we might be on the
- 46:34Speaker 4: other side of the world and it might be three am.
- 46:36Speaker 4: That just so happens to me when we have to
- 46:38Speaker 4: wake up to do the show live. We've got the
- 46:40Speaker 4: technology pugs will bring the little briefcase with all the
- 46:42Speaker 4: stuff in it.
- 46:43Speaker 7: Would we earn the local currency? Do you see what
- 46:47Speaker 7: I'm saying? Local numbers? You see what I mean?
- 46:50Speaker 4: No, I think you'd still earn the same stuff. But
- 46:52Speaker 4: then you're you know, if you're in Vietnam, you could
- 46:54Speaker 4: be you know, you're betting paid quite well in New
- 46:55Speaker 4: Zealand dollars.
- 46:59Speaker 7: What are you reckon?
- 47:00Speaker 4: We can all do that.
- 47:01Speaker 5: Well.
- 47:01Speaker 7: The think about Liz Keesy I've gotten I'm keen as
- 47:04Speaker 7: a bean completely honestly, I would do this in a heartbeat.
- 47:08Speaker 7: I think they're probably going to have as getting it
- 47:10Speaker 7: past the bosses.
- 47:11Speaker 4: They won't care, they won't even noticed. What we'll do
- 47:13Speaker 4: is we'll get three Menneicans and we're.
- 47:16Speaker 7: Trying to bring back out lookalike competition.
- 47:18Speaker 4: No, no, I'm not. We'll get three mennequins or like
- 47:21Speaker 4: stuffed sort of people.
- 47:25Speaker 6: Stuffed people, okay, like.
- 47:28Speaker 4: A teddy cutout version of a person. Put it there. Obviously,
- 47:30Speaker 4: Jason'll have a massive Honker Mogi, you know, bulgers whatever.
- 47:34Speaker 4: We'll pop them on the seats there. We could pay
- 47:36Speaker 4: someone to come every day and sit in the marp.
- 47:38Speaker 7: Yeah, it's true.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Pull the curtains down in the studio and just sort
- 47:41Speaker 4: of have like audio coming through. No no, no, no
- 47:44Speaker 4: no no, yeah, well I am. I would absolutely love
- 47:46Speaker 4: to do it.
- 47:47Speaker 6: Amen should Yeah? Man? When next next summer?
- 47:53Speaker 4: We're not We're chasing the surf. Surf, yeah, the next surf,
- 47:58Speaker 4: but do you know how to surf?
- 48:00Speaker 6: Shit?
- 48:01Speaker 1: Year the whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodaki. It's
- 48:13Speaker 1: Beer and Pied July on Radio Hodakis.
- 48:17Speaker 6: Yes, indeed, I think Jason Pine is right, fellas I
- 48:20Speaker 6: reckon there's going to be a red card in this
- 48:21Speaker 6: match pretty shortly. The cards are beginning to come out,
- 48:24Speaker 6: and the play's getting more and more agro so fascinating stuff.
- 48:28Speaker 6: But that's not what this is about.
- 48:31Speaker 4: This is about cash. Twenty thousand dollars Dad's pies have
- 48:35Speaker 4: given us to give away this Beer and Pied July.
- 48:37Speaker 4: Is the pies that pay you hear the pirates you
- 48:39Speaker 4: call us? Oh eight hundred HYDARKI in boom You get
- 48:41Speaker 4: your share two and fifty bucks straight away.
- 48:43Speaker 6: Yeah, good stuff, Kisie. Let's go to the phone lines,
- 48:46Speaker 6: get a limb your mad bastard Hell's life.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Oh how's it go and field?
- 48:51Speaker 6: Yeah? Good? Thanks mate? Tell me Liam? What do you
- 48:53Speaker 6: do for a crust?
- 48:54Speaker 5: I'm mentually a baker ahead Pine?
- 48:59Speaker 4: Really am sure?
- 49:01Speaker 5: I am?
- 49:01Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 49:02Speaker 4: Where do you work?
- 49:03Speaker 7: Mate?
- 49:04Speaker 5: Just had Littleton Bakery there?
- 49:06Speaker 4: Beautiful lives in Littleton as well. What a beautiful part
- 49:08Speaker 4: of the country that is.
- 49:09Speaker 6: What's your sort of baking specialty? England's just scored sorry, Liam?
- 49:17Speaker 5: England scored?
- 49:18Speaker 6: Yes, they just.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Scoredland one nothing, England up over Argentina. So it was
- 49:26Speaker 4: your specialty there, Liam.
- 49:28Speaker 5: Oh, you wouldn't believe it. Key, I like making pie.
- 49:33Speaker 6: Now you sun. Just on a personal level, Liam, what's
- 49:38Speaker 6: a pie do you.
- 49:38Speaker 12: Like to run with and enjoying at stake with garletform
- 49:44Speaker 12: and cheese sauce?
- 49:45Speaker 6: Wow?
- 49:46Speaker 4: That sounds fairy? Is that available at your bakery?
- 49:48Speaker 6: Is it?
- 49:49Speaker 5: You?
- 49:49Speaker 6: Sure have come over?
- 49:51Speaker 4: The good news is mate, you've got yourself two hundred
- 49:54Speaker 4: and fifty bucks.
- 49:55Speaker 6: Oh let's go, yea man, get.
- 49:58Speaker 4: On your mate goal and turning fifty bucks just like that, leam.
- 50:01Speaker 4: You have a great day, mate, you hold the line?
- 50:04Speaker 7: How about that?
- 50:05Speaker 6: How good? Men?
- 50:06Speaker 4: That sounds like a bloody delicious little pie is running there.
- 50:09Speaker 4: I haven't heard of that combo before.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Did he say steak and garlic prawn?
- 50:13Speaker 7: That's what I heard. Yeah, So that's sort of like
- 50:15Speaker 7: a surfing tiff situation you got, isn't it death?
- 50:19Speaker 6: Definitely it is.
- 50:20Speaker 4: What's a surfing tiff?
- 50:22Speaker 6: Well, it's like your meats and your seafoods all tossed
- 50:24Speaker 6: in the same pot. Oh, when I have a hot pot,
- 50:27Speaker 6: you could say it's a surfing turf. You've got your meats,
- 50:31Speaker 6: you got your seafoods, just tossing the pot. There's bloody
- 50:36Speaker 6: good stuff.
- 50:37Speaker 4: And how do you feel about pies?
- 50:40Speaker 6: I love pies.
- 50:41Speaker 4: Hey, this is all brought to you by Dad's Pies,

- 50:47Speaker 4: A man, they get it and they really there. That's
- 50:49Speaker 4: what it's all about, right there. One nothing in the football.
- 50:53Speaker 6: Can you imagine the English fans at the moment they
- 50:56Speaker 6: will be going off?
- 50:58Speaker 4: We should cross life to be and see other hubs go.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so. In the meantime, He's cake.
- 51:02Speaker 1: The Hodarchy Big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy Tune.
- 51:06Speaker 9: In Sport, Lawrence rodcun time for your later sport headlines.
- 51:14Speaker 9: Thanks to export Ultra the bear for here. England are
- 51:17Speaker 9: a head in the second half of their Football World
- 51:19Speaker 9: Cup semi final against Australia.
- 51:22Speaker 11: What was the score before they went to adds?
- 51:23Speaker 4: It was argent.
- 51:27Speaker 11: One love? Was it to England?
- 51:30Speaker 4: England y yep.
- 51:32Speaker 9: The winner plays Spain on Monday in the final. Golfer
- 51:36Speaker 9: Daniel Hilliot isn't battling the pre major nerves as badly
- 51:40Speaker 9: as he once did. He's one of three kiwis teeing
- 51:43Speaker 9: off at the one hundred and fifty fourth Open Championship
- 51:47Speaker 9: at Royal Birkdale tonight. Jim Bobcun Women are being given
- 51:52Speaker 9: exercise advice online that otago UNI researchers say isn't backed
- 51:56Speaker 9: up by science. They include advice that women shouldn't fast,
- 52:00Speaker 9: hydration needs change during the menstrual cycle, and women need
- 52:04Speaker 9: different carbon protein.
- 52:05Speaker 11: Strategies to men.
- 52:06Speaker 9: I should just mention too in our women's sports segment
- 52:09Speaker 9: and our under seventeen women's basketball team have made history
- 52:13Speaker 9: at the World Cup in the sir Zech Republic.
- 52:16Speaker 6: Jack what was that ship?
- 52:20Speaker 4: Can't be getting the names of things wrong?
- 52:21Speaker 6: Brin still spoiled.
- 52:24Speaker 9: They've made the quarterfinals for the first time after a
- 52:26Speaker 9: sixty to forty win over Columbia.
- 52:29Speaker 4: And what was that team?
- 52:30Speaker 9: So that that was the under seventeen women's basketball team.
- 52:33Speaker 9: Oh good, that's exciting, so good, so good for them.
- 52:36Speaker 4: You watch that?
- 52:36Speaker 11: Ajs Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I love.
- 52:40Speaker 6: A bit of BB action basketball. Yes, thanks m thanks mate,
- 52:47Speaker 6: Thanks Jim One. Neil sild to England seventy one minutes gone.
- 52:54Speaker 6: Coming up the legend Rogie Cooey bassa shit.
- 52:57Speaker 1: The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hodak.
- 53:01Speaker 6: Es Indeed faith no more. There on the Big Show
- 53:04Speaker 6: Breakfast this Tuesday morning. The time is eight thirty seven
- 53:08Speaker 6: and we have Rugby League legend Roger too vasa check
- 53:12Speaker 6: in the studio with us. Good Roger, how's live? Good? Good?
- 53:15Speaker 6: Thank you, you're fired up.
- 53:17Speaker 12: I'm pumped.
- 53:18Speaker 6: I'm pumped to be here, Roger.
- 53:20Speaker 4: The reason we've got you in the studio, mate, is
- 53:21Speaker 4: because obviously, yeah yeah, season with the Wires was cut short.
- 53:25Speaker 4: What sucks, and so that's sort of the end of
- 53:27Speaker 4: your stint.
- 53:28Speaker 7: They're done.
- 53:28Speaker 4: However, you sort of being part of it still by
- 53:31Speaker 4: tagging in on the commentary and the coverage of the game.
- 53:34Speaker 4: So you're going to be a regular feature on Sky
- 53:35Speaker 4: whenever the game is being played. You know, is that
- 53:38Speaker 4: something you've always wanted to move into?
- 53:40Speaker 6: Not?
- 53:40Speaker 12: Not really, It wasn't something I wanted to do. Was
- 53:43Speaker 12: I wanted to be around footy. I don't know what
- 53:45Speaker 12: they looked like, was either coaching or maybe media. But
- 53:49Speaker 12: this has come quite early for me. So I'm using
- 53:51Speaker 12: this opportunity as a trial and error. So here I
- 53:54Speaker 12: am in the radio doing some some radio and plugging
- 53:59Speaker 12: myself talking about Hey I'm on Sky now, guys, come
- 54:03Speaker 12: and watch.
- 54:03Speaker 6: So that's interesting.
- 54:04Speaker 4: That is the transition because while you're playing for at
- 54:06Speaker 4: the top level, like you know, all the Warriors, all
- 54:08Speaker 4: the attentions on you, and you almost want to get
- 54:09Speaker 4: rid of that. But then afterwards when you especially if
- 54:11Speaker 4: you want to get down the media route like a
- 54:13Speaker 4: lot of former players have done and over and Aussie, there's
- 54:15Speaker 4: big things that you can do over there as well.
- 54:16Speaker 4: It does change, doesn't it.
- 54:18Speaker 12: Oh, there's a lot you know, like especially my brother's
- 54:20Speaker 12: been pushing me to get into the media space, and
- 54:22Speaker 12: you're true to do that. You've got to bring out
- 54:24Speaker 12: your personality where before it was like no, you write
- 54:27Speaker 12: your goals, you chase your goals, action action action. But
- 54:29Speaker 12: now it's like, hey, you know what I lovely, here's
- 54:32Speaker 12: something sides like, y, let's go, let's get into it.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Well, when you say your personality, when players have spent
- 54:37Speaker 4: a long time in a professional environment, especially like the
- 54:40Speaker 4: All Blacks cricket, traditionally, the way that media managed and
- 54:43Speaker 4: taught is to just like, hey, you just keep it
- 54:45Speaker 4: pretty chill, you know, But then once you leave you
- 54:47Speaker 4: sort of have to get rid of that and unlock
- 54:49Speaker 4: your personality again.
- 54:50Speaker 12: Right, yeah, Well, like Seawn Johnson, he's on that to
- 54:53Speaker 12: laying it down for all of us and laying a
- 54:55Speaker 12: path for us.
- 54:55Speaker 6: Before it's like, hey.
- 54:57Speaker 4: You get full credit to the boys.
- 54:58Speaker 12: Yeah exactly, Yeah, all the thanks, but now it's like, hey,
- 55:02Speaker 12: you know, there's just cool things happening, and Sean is,
- 55:05Speaker 12: like I said, he's leading the way for us of
- 55:07Speaker 12: giving people more insight to it.
- 55:08Speaker 6: But in a call away and that.
- 55:10Speaker 7: Is the beauty of having guys like yourself in SJ
- 55:14Speaker 7: doing the commentary as well. You're able to break down
- 55:18Speaker 7: the plays, what the players are going through. What I
- 55:21Speaker 7: really enjoy about what ESJ does is doing replays and
- 55:25Speaker 7: going through them, you know, step by step, so you
- 55:28Speaker 7: can actually learn as a viewer and somebody that hasn't
- 55:31Speaker 7: played rugby league, you actually get smarter as a viewer
- 55:33Speaker 7: because I watch it. I've watched it since day one.
- 55:36Speaker 7: But as it turns out from watching s J in
- 55:39Speaker 7: the week that he does on screen, I don't know
- 55:41Speaker 7: jack shit. I know nothing. And so the way that
- 55:45Speaker 7: you know a team is working itself around particularly and
- 55:48Speaker 7: say the twenty meter within the twenty meters and working
- 55:51Speaker 7: towards posts and all that sort of stuff, we have
- 55:53Speaker 7: no idea as viewers, So you coming straight from the game,
- 55:57Speaker 7: it's a huge opportunity for the audience.
- 55:58Speaker 12: Yeah, and that's that's the I can't take away from Sean.
- 56:01Speaker 12: He's he's unreal airt breaking it down. Where with myself,
- 56:04Speaker 12: I want to let the viewers know about, you know,
- 56:06Speaker 12: the chats going within the meetings in those four wars
- 56:09Speaker 12: and the mindset the boys are running out. Like I
- 56:12Speaker 12: spoke around, you know, the no surrender call and who
- 56:15Speaker 12: does the call and you know, get you on the
- 56:17Speaker 12: hyped up for it so that when you're at home
- 56:19Speaker 12: you can call it yourself.
- 56:21Speaker 6: Roger, can I just ask just on that front, you know,
- 56:25Speaker 6: the Fellers are obviously going great guns at the moment.
- 56:28Speaker 6: They're playing really well. These huge expectation on the Warriors.
- 56:33Speaker 6: You have fanatical fans. How do you guys cope with that?
- 56:36Speaker 6: I mean, do you feel that pressure when especially when
- 56:40Speaker 6: you're going really well? You know, geez, we can't stuff
- 56:42Speaker 6: this out. You know.
- 56:43Speaker 12: The cool thing is the fans are putting on the
- 56:45Speaker 12: pressure expectation. But I think from what happened last year
- 56:48Speaker 12: of us where we were in the same position last year, Yes,
- 56:51Speaker 12: we're putting it back on ourselves. So the expectation and
- 56:54Speaker 12: the challenges on ourselves to do better and to grow
- 56:56Speaker 12: from last year because we saw last year as such
- 56:59Speaker 12: a wet opportunity. We were sitting top four, top two
- 57:02Speaker 12: for a long time, but we couldn't get at the
- 57:04Speaker 12: back end. And we're worth close to the back end
- 57:06Speaker 12: this time and we want to go all the way.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Roger, we've got Roger Tibasushik in studio with us, who's
- 57:12Speaker 4: joining The Sky's coverage of the Warriors for the season,
- 57:15Speaker 4: which is very exciting. Do you think you and Sean
- 57:18Speaker 4: are very lucky? Like you look at you got Monty
- 57:20Speaker 4: Betham there. For example. We've been doing this for a
- 57:21Speaker 4: long time. You guys are lucky that you're coming in
- 57:24Speaker 4: when the Warriors are winning, you know what I mean,
- 57:26Speaker 4: Like if you were in one of those dark periods
- 57:28Speaker 4: we were losing all the time twenty fifteen, Yeah, we
- 57:32Speaker 4: exactly do you think you'd be? I don't know, it'd
- 57:34Speaker 4: be a bit bit harder, you know what I mean.
- 57:36Speaker 12: That's one hundred percent the reality of it where I'm
- 57:39Speaker 12: coming in, like right now, I'm so pumped. Yeah, we've
- 57:41Speaker 12: got the dragons, We've got we're fielding up this team
- 57:43Speaker 12: this weekend, so ye tune end where unfortunately I was
- 57:46Speaker 12: part of those teams on twenty sixteen nineteen.
- 57:49Speaker 6: But yeah, well that's the interesting challenge that you will
- 57:52Speaker 6: face actually going into broadcast things every now and then
- 57:55Speaker 6: you're going to have to stick the boot into your mates,
- 57:58Speaker 6: you know what I mean? You know, go God, those
- 58:00Speaker 6: eyes were a ship house terrible, man, they were so bad.
- 58:05Speaker 4: Is that how you do it?
- 58:06Speaker 12: Roger by Way, probably not as tough as he did,
- 58:11Speaker 12: but I'll try try my best.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Yeah. And in terms of next year, you're heading overseas, Yes,
- 58:18Speaker 4: you're heading over to the ukme in you're just saying
- 58:21Speaker 4: you want to get amongst the football which Mowgi's turned off,
- 58:24Speaker 4: so Jason doesn't get distracted. But you know, finding a
- 58:27Speaker 4: local footy team, a football team to support you excited
- 58:30Speaker 4: for that as well.
- 58:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:30Speaker 12: I think that was the main attraction of going over
- 58:33Speaker 12: to Super League, was just taking my family and seeing
- 58:35Speaker 12: a new part of the world, new cultures and new attractions.
- 58:39Speaker 12: And like I said, they love this soccer over there,
- 58:41Speaker 12: or football as they call it. So I think Leeds
- 58:44Speaker 12: United is in the Premier League, so that might be
- 58:46Speaker 12: my team.
- 58:47Speaker 4: Leeds United. Yes, you have to get the Jerzy's go
- 58:49Speaker 4: fully into it.
- 58:50Speaker 6: Yeah nice. Hey, well, Roger, all the best for next year,
- 58:54Speaker 6: fish and foremost and also for your broadcasting career, mate,
- 58:57Speaker 6: I hope it goes great guns and you know the
- 59:00Speaker 6: fellas aren't playing well mate, just lay into them. Just
- 59:03Speaker 6: don't don't worry about it, man, Just don't hold back,
- 59:06Speaker 6: all right, cool?
- 59:07Speaker 4: I write that down, Yeah, and then screw it up
- 59:09Speaker 4: and throw the burn Rogers. We asschek. Thanks for joining us, mate,
- 59:13Speaker 4: Thank you guys.
- 59:14Speaker 1: The whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 59:17Speaker 1: tune in week days and four on radio.
- 59:19Speaker 6: Hold Ik Lincoln Part You're on the Big Show Breakfast
- 59:22Speaker 6: this Thursday morning. The time is ten minutes to nine
- 59:25Speaker 6: o'clock in England, so so very close. Seven minutes from
- 59:29Speaker 6: full time and Argentina equalize one. All let's cross to
- 59:35Speaker 6: Beck who's at the pub with a pub full of
- 59:38Speaker 6: English supporters and Beck, they must be absolutely spewing right now, mate.
- 59:44Speaker 2: The tension and here is wild, Like you know, I
- 59:48Speaker 2: no highly confident what eight minutes ago? And then that
- 59:51Speaker 2: goal went through and I think I'm seeing grand men
- 59:54Speaker 2: cry with the tension of it all.
- 59:56Speaker 8: It's hilarious.
- 59:57Speaker 4: Well it is, I mean because obviously Big you're not,
- 59:59Speaker 4: I assume, but like me, we're not like avid football.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Fans, and so I have no idea what's happening.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: You're just at a pub on a Thursday morning that
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: just happened to be some some football on is that right?
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: So who are these people here cutting into my dirry type?
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: So what about in terms of that first English goal?
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: It was a while back now, but how much did
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: the pub light up when that happened?
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: It was so and his men like they sung songs,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: men were hugging and kissing each other.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: It was a real, real lovely moment.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Actually yeah right, and those same men now are crying
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: into their lagers, right, I mean it's still.
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: Everyone's on tiptoes. People are biting their nails.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: I can I can only imagine what it's going to
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: be like if it goes to a penalty shootout, but tension,
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: and there's going to be I might even pop down now.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: Actually it'll be well over by them, wouldn't You've got
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: another hour to do after this? Yeah right? Yeah, well
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: be for your sake, I hope to God that England
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: come through so that you don't have to deal with
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: distraught and crying. With distraught crying then.
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: It's really I mean, there could be a riot. Good, no,
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: people are crying.
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: Thirty seconds before that day you had a shot that
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: came off the push Oh wow, so big.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: So just for those who joined us Argentina and now
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: I had two to one an extra time big. What
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: is the vibe like?
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: Now the vibe has gone silent. You can hear a pindron,
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: you really can.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: You can also hear a daytime announcement from Hodachey laughing
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: at people's fortune.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Keep me quiet, alright, well, keep us abreast of what's
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: happening at the pub.
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: All right, A.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: Holy cow, that is just wow. That is just classic
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: English football, right there, isn't it.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: Yeah, well they're kind of crapping the bed now. And
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: let's remember I can't remember the team that Argentina were playing,
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: but yeah, maybe Mexico and they were too Niel down
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: with about fifteen to play, and then they scored three
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: goals in thirteen minutes. From recollection it was Egypt.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I think Egypt, Yes, yeah, I think it was actually
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Papa New Guinea.
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: Oh was a Papa New Guinea was? Oh that makes
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: sense with human hey h draba, here's Pearl Jam.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Wow the hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: Tune in week days at four on Radio hod.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: Ich Temper Tramp there on the Big Show Breakfast this
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: Thursday morning. It is one minute past nine o'clock and
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: we're in the dying seconds fellas of the second semi
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: final at the Football World Cup, Argentina coming storming back
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: to take the lead two to one. England desperately trying
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: to equalize, but it looks like a forlorn hope at
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: this point.
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: I don't know a lot about football, but I think
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: it's a big upset.
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: What that Argentina won.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: No, No, just for the English fans in general, it's
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: a big upset for them.
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: They'll be very very upset.
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: Yeah, well there you go.
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: I mean it's what you want in the semi final
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: is high tension, yes, high excitement, you know, the misery
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: of losing and the joy of winning.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: So what it's all about, isn't it?
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: Feel I just feel for English fans because every couple
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: of years they go through this, they get mad and
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: I love it. It's sort of like Wars fans. They're
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: very similar to Wars fans and we're so used to
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: not this year is different, but we're so used to
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: the Warrior is not going the distance, but we get
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: friggin fizzed up. Regardless with the loudest fans, English is
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: kind of they're the same, you know. They get so
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: fizzed up, they sing songs, they do all this sort
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: of stuff. And unfortunately this is from being up one
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: gold and nothing to lose two goals.
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: Well you know, it's like I was going to say,
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: it's almost like being an All Black supporter too. But
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: we win quite a few World Cups.
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: Yeah, that is that is a pretty big difference.
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: Yeah, having three or four that the English still with
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: their only one win and all this time it's a disgrace, and.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: Coach reiterate, I'm not a massive football fan at all,
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: but i have very much enjoyed this particular game. Yes
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: you know what I mean, It's just I don't. I don't.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: I didn't really get around yesterday's game, but this one
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: in particular, with just knowing how much it means to
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: both sides and the drama to to one. Then coming
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: back late Mess thirty nine years of age, celebrating because
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: of the game is officially over and Argentina are into
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: the final.
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: Dan and Dustin and how good the final though Spain
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: the Argentina Classic.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: Fine Monday morning, feelers you waiful?
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: Now coming up next? Actually, Old Paksahn went to see
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: a movie yesterday, the Odyssey, The Odyssey, and he said, Fellers,
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: I'd really appreciate some airtime so I can chat about it.
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: So we went, Oh, that's what you want to do?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: The whole archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
- 1:05:05Speaker 10: Tune in and four on Radio the Verve.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: There on the Big Show Breakfast this Tuesday morning, and
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: Old Pug sounds in the studio with us. It's Pugs.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Morning Fellas morning.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: Yeah, very good, thank you.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Hey, thanks for having me.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Last night, Pugs, I was invited to go and see
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Christopher Nolan's Odyssey.
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: Are you reviewing the Odyssey?
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I was hoping you.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: But because I'm on breakfast, I said no, I don't
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: want to go, but Pugs said he'll go with his
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: partner and do a bit of a review because it's
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: a massive release.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm going to step out because I'm going to
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: go and see this this, this movie, this, this, this movie,
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: this this this weekend, and I'm sorry, it's obviously it's
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: a huge movie. And because I knew, whenever I know
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: I'm going to go and see a movie, I avoid
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: it completely, So I don't watch trailers, I don't watch
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: any chitty chat about it, nothing at all. So I'm
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: gonna watch it I of the weekend and then all
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: coming on Monday. Pegs, and you and I can compare busies.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: That's all I'll say to you is I've got a
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: feeling when you and I compare busies, yes, that my
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: busies are going to be larger.
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: Andese croissant or something like that. You're a bagel. A
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: bagel would be fine.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: Now, Pugs. Hello, So the Odyssey, in terms of a release,
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: one of the oldest stories ever told, based on the
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: Iliad by Homer from the ancient Greek or something not
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Homo Simpson, Jase, it's one of the it's a Greek tragedy.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: I don't know, like, it's just such an old and
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: well told tale. And this is Christopher Nolan's three and
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: a half hour je recreation of that tale.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: Let me just start by saying this, I don't know
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: ship about the Odyssey. No spoilers are here, by the way,
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: spoiler free, spoiler free show. I'm just going to talk
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: emotions and also just Chase. I'd also just like to
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: open the open the review by reading some of the
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: big Show group chat from last night me at nine
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: thirty seven pm. The Odyssey fellas all I said, reply
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: from Jason Hoyt. Do you want to review it on
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: the show?
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: Pugs?
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: So I just want to clear that up for the
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: audience there.
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: Yes, Hey, just.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Now, Jason, what a movie fellas? Holy moly, it does
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: feel historic.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: It is.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: It is one of the great films of I would
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: say the last decade. It kind of felt to me
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: the impact that Gladiator had when it first came out.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: This felt a bit like that.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: But this is obviously the technology has just come so
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: far that the scale is just enormous.
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: Is that?
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: What is that part of the grandeur? It's just the
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: scale of the scale of everything.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and awesome. What I noted was it it was
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: three hours. So the movie started at six thirty. Yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: I was out by nine forty, so it's not three
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: and a half. I am ready to go see it
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: again tonight if I if I had more tickets, I
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: would go again tonight to see it. Well, for something
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: that's so long, I didn't think that I'd be so
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: so enthralled the entire time.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: It wasn't one of those movies. It was like Lord
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: of the Rings where you're watching it and it's long,
- 1:08:13Speaker 4: but you're thinking this is awesome the whole time.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: No, I didn't even think about how long it was.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: I genuinely didn't think how long it was until maybe,
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: like we were getting to the end game.
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: Whether or not I'm going to be able to find
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: three and a half hoursand a day there.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Sorry, if you were listening, Jason's not three and a half.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: But even then.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: Now, Jason, you were around when the original Odyssey came out,
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: the book written by Homer.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: Yeah, seventh or eighth eighth century.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm always loath Fellas, and I don't know how
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: you feel about it. As often adaptations of books are
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: very disappointing adaptations. So you know what I mean. You go,
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: you love the book, and you go, oh, go and
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: see the movie, and then the movie's an absolute shocker.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: I mean, well, this particular book written by Home is
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: probably in like Latin or something.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: Yeah, there were a couple of things I had with it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: I noted I did compare it to Gladiator. They're not
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: the same, but I did think about it because Ingladiator,
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: the way that they spoke, even though it was English,
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: it still felt old and it felt regal, authentastic. In
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: this movie, everybody's just American, did just all American?
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: Oh okay, well that ruins it for me.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: So there's just one thing to keep in mind. The
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: only other criticisms I had for it were it had
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: the Oppenheimer problem where Christopher Noland does this thing where
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: he has to get all the exposition out so quickly,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: so you're set up for the rest of the movie,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: and it felt like the first to me, I might
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: not be the same but for everybody else, But the
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: first like ten minutes was all just like talk talk talk,
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: talk talk, sitting laud music in the background. That was
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: what Oppenheimer was for me. It was just like chitty
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: chat getting it all out. And then when you finally
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: when they finally set sail into the story, it's like fantastic, Right,
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: how many buzzies out of five? Pugs, I'm going to
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: give it four? Four busies out of five to five
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: closer to a four point somewhere between four and four
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: point five, okay. And The Odyssey, which that was a preview,
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: so I believe it's today or tomorrow.
- 1:10:07Speaker 7: It's out now?
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: It is it out now?
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: Probably go see it? Bloody good?
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: Was there? Nudity?
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: Was there?
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Pugs?
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: Chris? What was that?
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: Was there?
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: Nudity?
- 1:10:18Speaker 6: Uh?
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: No?
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: The hood Chy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Keyzy
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Hold Ikey. It is indeed ever clear. They're on the
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. But right now it's
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: time for.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: Yeah, hate Gellers Last night, I completed the second season
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: of Britaan Coup's Singles Club, which is available for viewing
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: on the spin off and also on YouTube. A six episodes,
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: and it's the tale of Brittany Stent and cut A
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: Forester dealing with relationships in this episode or the season.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: In the first season, they were dealing with the fact
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: that they were getting older and singles, so they travel
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: around the country trying to find a mate. But really
- 1:11:07Speaker 7: those parts of the show were just to serve as
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: a bit of a background for them to have yarns
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: with each other about how they were feeling about their lives.
- 1:11:16Speaker 7: And this season, Kuda is pregnant and Brindley's got herself
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: a new partner. They travel all over the country similarly
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: just having yards with each other about how they're feeling.
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: Last episode was last night. Each episode about fifteen minutes long.
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: Bloody good Man, Bloody good show. Highly recommend. Just a
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: couple of great women, very very funny, having some honest
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: yarns and some huge laughs. I give it a four
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: point two boys is out of a possible five. Get
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: it in you good stuff logie.
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: Last night, my wife and I couldn't really be asked you,
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: you know, when you have those evenings and I say, oh, no,
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: what can we watch? I mean, we ended up with
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: World's Worst Housemate I think it was called, and it
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: was just people that ended up living with other people
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: that were just pieces of work.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: I think a lot of people can relate to that
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: totally man.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: But but on the extreme end of the scale, as
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: you'd imagine, because they made a program about it, and
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: it's just just horrendous human beings and the stuff that
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: they did to their housemates, you know, getting people arrested,
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: accusing them of things that never happened that they were
- 1:12:18Speaker 6: doing themselves. Just an absolute nightmare, the kind of viewing
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: that makes you sick, but you can't help but keep
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: watching it. We watched like three episodes of The Bastard,
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: you know what I mean, and it just reminded me
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: of how foul human beings can good, you know, and
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: how we're so often motivated by money as well, you
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: know what I mean, especially I am. I mean, I'm
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: not going to kill anyone over it, though you say that, look,
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: it's just completely mindless gunk. It was. It was fine too.
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: Busies out of five World's Worst Housemate.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: Nice Samsung TV.
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: Yeah, man, so good.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: I had to annoying me because we I turned my
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: TV on. Now it automatically comes on to Samsung TV
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: and it's always engaging because it's on the Korean cooking channel.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: So last night, my wife and I we watched the
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: final episode of the latest season of Clarkson's Farm on
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Amazon Prime Watch Prime and it's the season where he announced,
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: and he didn't say anything until the last two episodes
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: that he had cancer. And it was very interesting viewing
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: because we worked out last year. In May, he was
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: supposed to come to the country and do a Q
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: and A with the debut screening of the last year's season,
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: but they canceled it because it was midway through the harvest,
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: and I was gutted because I'd say, yes, my wife
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: and I were going to go along and we were
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: going to get to do a Q and A with
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: Jeremy Clarkson, which is, you know, pretty exciting. We worked
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: out from the show. He was like, I've known about
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: this for a few months. We did the mass, we
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: were like, he didn't come because of that. He didn't
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: come because he just found out he had cancer, and
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: it was very interesting and they show all the you know,
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: like they show all the stuff that happens on the farm,
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: like cows having to be killed because of tuberculosis and
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: like unwell animals and all this sort of nitty gritty
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: and then the health stuff this season was quiet, I
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: don't know, grim it was. It was very down buss.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: And then on top of that, it's so hard to
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: make a living because of the droughts and the weather
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: and global warming and stuff that, Like, it's just absolute
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: shambles if you aren't a multi millionaire farmer TV presenter, yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: you're just a regular farmer over there and probably here too,
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: I don't know enough, but so hard.
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: They've got the big payouts on the milk down here, brother.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: Yeah for some farmers you know. But honestly, the latest
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: seasons is the best. There's the best season of that show.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: I think, uh, four buses out of five.
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: Yeah, good stund for mate.
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: Who's this again, Jace, Jace, Jace.
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: Well, I'm going to sing it in your bass. It's
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: sad that.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: The whole Achy Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kezy
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: Well, there you go, your man, bastards that's a big show.
- 1:15:02Speaker 6: Breakfast done and dusted this Thursday morning. Hope you enjoyed
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: the show. Now, before the show, we do a podcast
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: out show, which is just bonus material for you.
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: Really, it's a little bit of a warm up, isn't it.
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: Fell As we get in here at the Sparrow, fat
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: and pump out ten of the best minutes of content
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: you've ever heard in your life. And here's an example.
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: Are you saying my wife's a durbrain.
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: No, you're putting those words implicitly.
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: Stop trying to put your filthy words in my mouth.
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: You don't have to read between the lines on that one.
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: I won't be putting my words in your mouth.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: Keeezy, I know you're putting disgusting.
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: See this, I thought it was going to be Yeah, first.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: It's good, stuffy Fellers. Yeah, yeah, that comes out soon,
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: I guess. I don't know. I don't know what time
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: it comes out.
- 1:15:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know anymore.
- 1:15:54Speaker 7: I know when we do drive it comes out at
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: seven thirty at night there indear, But now I don't know.
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: Maybe it comes out at midday times. What time does
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: the podcast come out?
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: That which is speaking of working your ass off? You'll
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: be working after this, Maggie.
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: Yeah, mate, straight into it, straight out of here, straight
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: into work.
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: I love it. What about you keasy bit of ann
- 1:16:19Speaker 6: and that before you're filming tonight?
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: Yeah, well that's the saying. I've been asked to come
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: back and host the show that I started on, Crowd
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Goes Wild Again tonight, which is very exciting.
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: Really, Yeah, you look confused.
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: Well, it's just weird because I worked there for ten
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: years and I was kind of constantly overlooked for presenting.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: It's really nice that I'm at a stage in my
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: career now. I actually we would ucky to come and
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: do it.
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: It's kind of like a sign that I'm getting older. Yeah, mate,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: that's turning in. Wait around long enough everyone else dies,
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: you get an opportunity. Apparently everyone else is available they
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: didn't want to get Yeah, so exciting.
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: What about you actually heard that Roger two of us
- 1:16:53Speaker 7: shicks couldn't look.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Really, I wouldn't be surprised. It's a joke about me
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: constantly being replaced by the press. How about former league stars?
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: Is what about you?
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: Jason? What are you doing today?
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: Look fellows, I'm just trying to decide now, I mean
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: I think I've got bacon at home, but I'm not
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: entirely sure, so I think I'm probably going for a
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: bagel with avocado. Maybe I've got a little tub of
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: pesto too, so I might a little bit of crack
- 1:17:21Speaker 6: pet of the show a bit of aioli on top there.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: I think I'll go for the thin bagels because I'm
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: a big fan of those.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: And.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: Tomorrow morning at six a m.
- 1:17:32Speaker 6: Till ten.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: Until then you have a lovely day.
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: Bye.
