  Fears of a global government borrowing glut, likely to be

  compounded by the latest spending and tax cut bill,

  helped fuel an unusually weak auction for U.S. government
• 18:44
  bonds that sent markets into a tailspin Wednesday.

  You know, they are one of my favorite information sources for

  what is going on in the general economy.

  This is downright frightening. What just happened at one O

  clock eastern, the S&P 500 fell nearly 80 points in 30 minutes.

  Guys, that's like a like a mini micro crash without any major

  quote UN quote news. What actually happened was a

  week 20 year bond auction which sent U.S.

  Treasury yield soaring. When the yields go up, the price

  of the bonds go down. There's an inverse relationship
• 19:27
  between interest rate yields and bond prices.

  But it also sent the US stock markets tumbling.

  Investors much must watch yields here.

  Let us explain, OK, And then they go into a deep explanation

  about it. These higher bond yields, this
• 19:43
  is critical for us to understand.

  Higher interest rates, higher yields out there right now are
• 19:49
  not good for the US government at all. the US government has
• 19:54
  but $9 trillion. And remember 1 trillion is
• 19:58
  1,000,000. Times 1,000,000 that's one

  trillion and we got like 9 trillion that we need to
• 20:05
  refinance this year. It's horrible for big
• 20:09
  corporations. They have trillions in debt that
• 20:11
  will be rolled over and refinanced.

  A lot of this debt when they borrowed the money five years
• 20:17
  ago, they borrowed they, they were able to take out, take out
• 20:20
  loans, issue bonds at like 1%, one and a half, 2% interest
• 20:25
  rates. Those rates are now 4 and 5%
• 20:28
  higher. That creates a huge new expense
• 20:32
  for these companies that will cut into profits that will hurt
• 20:35
  the stock market. See how it's all kind of tied
• 20:38
  together, Okay? The other big, big, crazy, scary
• 20:42
  thing that's happening with these interest rates is when we
• 20:45
  look at higher interest rates and the big banks, because
• 20:48
  again, the big banks, they bought a lot of bonds as an
• 20:52
  investment, right? You put your money into U.S.
• 20:55
  bank or Bank of America. I'm not calling out any
• 20:58
  particular bank, any bank. Four or five years ago, they
• 21:01
  took your money, they pay you 0% on your deposit and they went
• 21:06
  out and bought long term US bonds that were paying one and a
• 21:10
  half 2%. Now that rates are higher, all
• 21:13
  those bonds they hold as an investment are worth 30 or 40%
• 21:18
  less. So there's a lot of big banks,
• 21:20
  there's a lot of major stress in the banking sector right now as
• 21:24
  well. If rates go higher and higher.
• 21:27
  If they do, it could create big problems for the corporate world
• 21:31
  in the stock market, the banking system, and and the US
• 21:36
  government. OK, sorry, I went off on a
• 21:38
  little bit of a tangent there, but that's what that's what
• 21:41
  we're facing. And we're in a situation where
• 21:43
  nobody wants our bonds. The Chinese don't want to buy
• 21:47
  them. The Middle Eastern countries
• 21:48
  don't want to buy them, right. The to the Japanese don't want
• 21:52
  to buy them. Everybody where we are facing a
• 21:54
  very precarious situation. It would be like, and I'll end
• 21:58
  with this, let's say you're the head of household for your
• 22:01
  house, you do the bills, right? Every household has somebody
• 22:04
  that does the bills and your family has an income of 50,000.

  But for the last eight years you've been spending 80,000 a
• 22:14
  year. You've been taking out home
• 22:15
  equity loans, credit cards, you know, buy now, pay later,
• 22:19
  whatever it is. We're reaching the point where
• 22:22
  the your debt right, has gotten to four, $500,000 and you can't
• 22:27
  hardly afford to pay the interest.

  That's on a big macro level, what the United States is coming
• 22:33
  up against. The hens are coming home to

  roost. I don't want it to happen and

  and there's no guarantee that it will.
