- 0:00Speaker 1: One point seven billion in bitcoin is out the window now.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Is confidence starting to settle in in a bad way? Today?
- 0:06Speaker 1: We'll break it down for you. Let's just jump right in.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today, and of course
- 0:11Speaker 1: that is Uphold. If you are holding crypto right now
- 0:14Speaker 1: and not earning rewards, you're essentially leaving money on the table.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And the reality is in today's market, you need to
- 0:20Speaker 1: be able to move instantly. That's why Upholds flexible staking
- 0:25Speaker 1: is such a game changer. You can earn weekly rewards
- 0:28Speaker 1: automatically on assets you already hold without a lockup. That's
- 0:33Speaker 1: most important, you can sell any time. It's the perfect
- 0:36Speaker 1: setup for anyone who wants to grow their holdings without
- 0:39Speaker 1: losing their exit strategy. Download the Uphold app today and
- 0:43Speaker 1: try it for yourself. And I want to get started
- 0:46Speaker 1: with this right here. And of course this are some
- 0:48Speaker 1: of the key things that are going to be happening
- 0:50Speaker 1: this week, and the Wednesday CPI data is going to
- 0:53Speaker 1: be very very important, so be on the lookout for that.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We'll also get Thursday PPI data jobless claims, as well
- 0:59Speaker 1: as the two FED presidents that are going to be
- 1:02Speaker 1: speaking that may give us some indication of what's going
- 1:05Speaker 1: on with some retail results. So this is a pretty
- 1:07Speaker 1: big week for macro data that's going to be looking
- 1:10Speaker 1: at two things. One of course, is going to be
- 1:13Speaker 1: a lower rate hike expectation that could support both stocks,
- 1:16Speaker 1: gold and crypto. All of this now coming into the market.
- 1:21Speaker 1: As we get going here, a couple of points I
- 1:22Speaker 1: want to hit on first on just the headline is
- 1:25Speaker 1: that Marathon comes out and drops twenty three thousand bitcoin.
- 1:30Speaker 1: That's worth one point six billion dollars guys. And when
- 1:33Speaker 1: you go in and look at the numbers right here
- 1:35Speaker 1: on Marathon holdings their average entry, I'll kind of zoom
- 1:39Speaker 1: in on that is seventy thousand, six point thirty one
- 1:42Speaker 1: holding twenty three thousand, and still this is about one
- 1:45Speaker 1: third of the overall holdings of Marathon, which is a
- 1:49Speaker 1: big deal because this gets into a question of could
- 1:53Speaker 1: we see capitulation across a lot of minors going in
- 1:56Speaker 1: We also have Michael Saylor starting to move drastically, and
- 2:00Speaker 1: of course Sailor has also sold another sixteen hundred and
- 2:03Speaker 1: ninety bitcoin of worth one hundred and eight million million.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Of course, he's been using these proceeds primarily to repurchase stretch,
- 2:09Speaker 1: which is the preferred shares, and that, of course is
- 2:12Speaker 1: the issue that everybody's asking around if you're an investor
- 2:16Speaker 1: in micro Strategy to the stock, I want to go
- 2:18Speaker 1: to a clip real quick, because this is Sailor himself
- 2:21Speaker 1: talking about a doom loop. Take a look.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And so we were in a doom loop, or the
- 2:26Speaker 2: market was in this doom loop. This negative short I
- 2:32Speaker 2: don't know, like a psychosis, almost like hyperventilating, saying that
- 2:37Speaker 2: the largest buyer in bitcoin can't sell it, and if
- 2:40Speaker 2: they do sell it, bitcoin will fail. And what we
- 2:43Speaker 2: needed to do was demonstrate that if we saw a bitcoin,
- 2:46Speaker 2: it wouldn't fail. So when we saw the bitcoin, it
- 2:49Speaker 2: was sixty fifty nine thousand and traded up. And so
- 2:52Speaker 2: we broke that misconception.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We broke that narrative, and by breaking that narrative, I
- 2:59Speaker 1: think showed the hand of Sailor on where he was heading.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Ran was talking about this. Sailor sold bitcoin at the
- 3:06Speaker 1: bottom and sold micro Strategy add six hundred and fifty
- 3:09Speaker 1: million to the reserve, all to push stretch back toward
- 3:12Speaker 1: its peg. And that of course gets into the things
- 3:16Speaker 1: that Sailor is doing because he's willing to do things
- 3:18Speaker 1: that aren't necessarily good for this overall, and that means
- 3:23Speaker 1: even selling bitcoin. Where does this stop, guys, Where does
- 3:26Speaker 1: this stop? And how does this play? Because right now,
- 3:28Speaker 1: the way it looks, Peter Schiff is probably just dancing
- 3:32Speaker 1: right now because bitcoin versus gold is a struggle. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: to add on to this, BIP one ten absolutely just
- 3:39Speaker 1: went and went nowhere. And again, this is another example
- 3:43Speaker 1: of these kind of situations that are happening within the
- 3:45Speaker 1: bitcoin community. And if you look at that, and you
- 3:49Speaker 1: also look at the situation that's happening right now around Quantum.
- 3:53Speaker 1: This was on the cold Card team saying that they
- 3:55Speaker 1: had forty nine hundred flaws across three hundred and ninety
- 3:59Speaker 1: bitcoin projects AI. This is in reference to what's happening
- 4:02Speaker 1: on Opus right now. And the likelihood is this is
- 4:05Speaker 1: only going to get better in terms of how AI
- 4:08Speaker 1: is find these critical flaws. This is going to be
- 4:11Speaker 1: something I think we've got to pay attention to, guys
- 4:13Speaker 1: as we get closer on this. Other things you got
- 4:15Speaker 1: to look at, though, is Wall Street seems to be
- 4:18Speaker 1: okay with all of this, because they're continuing to push
- 4:21Speaker 1: here on bitcoin ets. As we see a little movement
- 4:24Speaker 1: here over the last thirty days with bitcoin net inflow
- 4:27Speaker 1: coming into traditional finance. And that's the real question here,
- 4:31Speaker 1: I think, are we going to see a split in
- 4:33Speaker 1: the markets on bitcoin or will we see institutional capital
- 4:38Speaker 1: continue to push as a primary asset going forward. Now,
- 4:42Speaker 1: there are some other things that could pretty much pend
- 4:45Speaker 1: on how this performs in the next few months. Hedge
- 4:47Speaker 1: funds now on the CM are now going net long
- 4:50Speaker 1: on bitcoin, that's a question. Last time that happened, we
- 4:53Speaker 1: saw a pretty significant increase bitcoin rally thirty percent more
- 4:58Speaker 1: at that point a are we in that kind of
- 5:01Speaker 1: market trade position right now as we start to go
- 5:03Speaker 1: into a really a situation right now that DC has
- 5:08Speaker 1: been holding i think the whole market by hostage around clarity,
- 5:12Speaker 1: And now what we're starting to see is some minor
- 5:15Speaker 1: movements just the week after the Senate goes out of session.
- 5:20Speaker 1: One thing to note right here State Street, if you're
- 5:22Speaker 1: an ETH follower, just disclose a two hundred and eighty
- 5:24Speaker 1: percent increase and it's bem in our position, this is
- 5:27Speaker 1: a big deal for Ethereum. And of course, if you
- 5:29Speaker 1: look at the performance overall, State Street add a sixty
- 5:32Speaker 1: six million four hundred and forty one thousand bitmind shares
- 5:36Speaker 1: in Q two, so this is now over two point
- 5:39Speaker 1: three million in share. So I don't know. This to
- 5:44Speaker 1: me shows one thing, and that is we're going to
- 5:46Speaker 1: continue to see Ethereum be a winner here in the
- 5:49Speaker 1: short term. Other things you have to look at right
- 5:52Speaker 1: now that also kind of strengthens other positions outside of
- 5:57Speaker 1: the dollar. Is what's happening with China. China is dumping
- 5:59Speaker 1: six d five fifty seven billion in US treasuries. The
- 6:02Speaker 1: pressure is on and now holds just six hundred and
- 6:04Speaker 1: fifty nine billion, so that was half of what it
- 6:06Speaker 1: was holding, lowest level since two thousand and eight. You
- 6:10Speaker 1: combine that with this right here, the UK's financial regulator
- 6:14Speaker 1: also setting up a new framework on token iss goal.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And this is something big because if you look at
- 6:19Speaker 1: where gold is right now, guys, this is just the
- 6:21Speaker 1: last few days. Gold came off the floor at around
- 6:24Speaker 1: four thousand. It's now up to forty three hundred and
- 6:28Speaker 1: sixty three dollars per troy ounce. Remember the last time
- 6:31Speaker 1: we saw gold explode to fifty three almost fifty four
- 6:34Speaker 1: hundred not too long ago. Is gold setting up right
- 6:38Speaker 1: now for a major market move or, especially if we
- 6:42Speaker 1: see some of these macroheadwinds starting to temper a little
- 6:45Speaker 1: bit with the FED. All of this is laying into
- 6:48Speaker 1: this right here, and that is that the Japanese yen
- 6:50Speaker 1: is falling back, and this of course is coming off
- 6:53Speaker 1: the dollar. Despite an estimated one hundred billion in US
- 6:57Speaker 1: Japan intervention, this was a co intervation by the US
- 7:01Speaker 1: and Japan being able to try to prop up the
- 7:04Speaker 1: end didn't do much help other than the fall that
- 7:06Speaker 1: we did see. And this gets into the whole question
- 7:10Speaker 1: right now, and that is weaponizing the end. How the
- 7:13Speaker 1: US of course is going to be intervening here may
- 7:15Speaker 1: reshape how we see currency markets play out. There's a
- 7:18Speaker 1: few points I want to showcase in this article that
- 7:20Speaker 1: is interesting. This is a point that they're getting out here.
- 7:24Speaker 1: When increasingly scarce national assets are spent in unison on
- 7:28Speaker 1: the same target by two major sovereigns, markets will have
- 7:32Speaker 1: the lesson that you would think is going to be
- 7:34Speaker 1: the case. And further into this, I'll go down into
- 7:36Speaker 1: the article because this gets into an interesting point. Currency
- 7:40Speaker 1: market intervention has clearly taken on a geopolitical tinte. This
- 7:44Speaker 1: is where Trump's administration is appearing more willing to support
- 7:49Speaker 1: central banks of countries that it views aligned with US priorities.
- 7:53Speaker 1: So again Japan very central to Trump's plans. Japan also
- 7:58Speaker 1: making some very major and big steps in crypto regulation.
- 8:03Speaker 1: They continued to showcase that they are ready for this
- 8:06Speaker 1: next generation of finance, where other countries not necessarily the
- 8:11Speaker 1: case here was Mohammed la Raian'm talking about it. The
- 8:14Speaker 1: key to fixing currency mispricing right now is getting the
- 8:17Speaker 1: policy mix right. The longer Japan delays and doing so,
- 8:21Speaker 1: which is what they're trying to do, the more elusive
- 8:24Speaker 1: the goal of this historic intervention becomes. So be watching this, guys.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Right now we are on the cost of something big
- 8:31Speaker 1: that could be happening in these markets. Treasury Secretary Besson
- 8:35Speaker 1: also is taking steps from a yen intervention to a
- 8:38Speaker 1: bond sales guidance, so he's trying to deal literally jumping
- 8:41Speaker 1: from one pan to the next for a bond sales
- 8:44Speaker 1: guidance shift to keep bond yields from spiking higher. That
- 8:47Speaker 1: of course, would cost a lot of potential macro headwinds
- 8:52Speaker 1: because of the potential here of bond starting to explode
- 8:56Speaker 1: in the market. Trump also is ready to declare victory
- 9:00Speaker 1: over Iran without a nuclear deal. This gets crazy because
- 9:04Speaker 1: he is in a position. Trump is in a position
- 9:06Speaker 1: where he's going to have to walk away from Tehran
- 9:09Speaker 1: and the straight of horror moves. This, of course, is
- 9:11Speaker 1: all leaning into the midterms just months away, really more
- 9:16Speaker 1: like thirty days, because a lot of this is going
- 9:18Speaker 1: to be pre voting and mailing voting. And this is
- 9:20Speaker 1: the issue because we're going to look at gas prices
- 9:23Speaker 1: that could start causing a big problem for the Republicans
- 9:26Speaker 1: and in general for Congress as a whole. If you
- 9:30Speaker 1: look at what's happening right now on like crude oil futures,
- 9:34Speaker 1: they're starting to move up the mark here as we
- 9:37Speaker 1: start to clip over eighty one a barrel. So all
- 9:41Speaker 1: of this right now still pushing harder. And this is
- 9:45Speaker 1: the kind of the point of no return right now.
- 9:47Speaker 1: If Trump does not get some sort of clarity over
- 9:51Speaker 1: what's happening in the Middle East and get into a position,
- 9:55Speaker 1: this could be very detrimental for not only his party,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but how does get out of this. So there are
- 10:01Speaker 1: some ways that maybe this could occur, and I think
- 10:04Speaker 1: this might be one of them that could sidestep what's
- 10:07Speaker 1: happening in Iran, and that is that Israel has rejected
- 10:10Speaker 1: a fifteen point plan for Gaza, and this, of course,
- 10:14Speaker 1: could be the scapegoat that Trump is looking for. In
- 10:17Speaker 1: other words, he simply goes against Israel. If that were
- 10:20Speaker 1: to happen, that may give him enough of an insight,
- 10:24Speaker 1: at least in the short term to deal with what's
- 10:26Speaker 1: going on right now on the economy and what could
- 10:29Speaker 1: play out in the midterms, because right now he is
- 10:31Speaker 1: on the ropes for sure if you look at the
- 10:34Speaker 1: polymarket when it comes to the midterms. Right now, the
- 10:38Speaker 1: Senate is on the cusp of possibly losing. The Senate
- 10:42Speaker 1: where Republicans are only holding at a fifty four percent chance,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and we've got three seats that are up for grabs
- 10:48Speaker 1: right here. That would pretty much make it a split
- 10:50Speaker 1: market on how the House and the Senate would work
- 10:54Speaker 1: in terms of getting all things done in DC, including
- 10:58Speaker 1: a lot of unwinds. Imagine that, because right now the
- 11:01Speaker 1: House looks as though it is going to be democratically led.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And if that is the case, eighty seven percent, you
- 11:09Speaker 1: know what's coming next, guys, and that is going to
- 11:12Speaker 1: be trial and hearing a hearing. After hearing, it's all
- 11:16Speaker 1: going to be centered around Crypto. I anticipate we are
- 11:18Speaker 1: going to see an absolute barrage of issues being faced,
- 11:23Speaker 1: including impeachment and all sorts of other things that are
- 11:26Speaker 1: going to play into how Trump's administration is managed over
- 11:30Speaker 1: the last couple of years. One other things to take
- 11:33Speaker 1: a look at, which will put more pressure on this
- 11:35Speaker 1: midterm and could lose that Senate race is Crudel inventories,
- 11:40Speaker 1: and that is talking about US Strategic petroleum Reserve. It
- 11:43Speaker 1: is now officially fell below three hundred million barrels for
- 11:47Speaker 1: the first time since nineteen eighty three. Most of you
- 11:50Speaker 1: weren't alive in nineteen eighty three, that's how long it
- 11:54Speaker 1: has been since. Inventory is declined by another six point
- 11:58Speaker 1: one barrel million barrels in a week. This cannot sustained
- 12:02Speaker 1: and it is a situation that will cause immediate impact
- 12:06Speaker 1: at the pump. And that, of course we know what
- 12:08Speaker 1: will do I think to the economy generally, and more
- 12:11Speaker 1: likely to what's happening right now with Congress. So this
- 12:16Speaker 1: is a big issue right now. And listen, there's no
- 12:18Speaker 1: letup right now off of Iran. You've got Iran declaring
- 12:21Speaker 1: the Straight or hormonves Who's going to stay close until
- 12:23Speaker 1: the end of Trump's term. So unless Trump accepts all
- 12:27Speaker 1: these demands, which as you can see, there's several of
- 12:29Speaker 1: them there, including three hundred billion in compensation, one hundred
- 12:32Speaker 1: billion in frozen assets, all sanctions US troops, you know,
- 12:36Speaker 1: Trump is not going to go this route. So this
- 12:38Speaker 1: means that we are going to continue to see a
- 12:42Speaker 1: huge pressure from the Middle East. And of course all
- 12:45Speaker 1: this plays into two things, and that is going to
- 12:47Speaker 1: be fuel and energy, but not only for the US,
- 12:50Speaker 1: for the world. How does this play out globally if
- 12:54Speaker 1: we continue to see this happening in the Middle East?
- 12:58Speaker 1: How does this play out? We're going to find out
- 13:00Speaker 1: because I think now is where things are going to
- 13:02Speaker 1: start to shift. Here's Chris Christy talking about this. Take
- 13:05Speaker 1: a look.
- 13:07Speaker 3: It was an adventure without a plan. And now you
- 13:11Speaker 3: know I've struck this week when the Iranians put out
- 13:13Speaker 3: their list of demands to reopen the straight reparations, et cetera.
- 13:19Speaker 3: What struck me was that Donald Trump is about to
- 13:22Speaker 3: become what he never ever wanted to be. Jimmy Carter.
- 13:28Speaker 3: He is being held hostage by Iran they are holding
- 13:31Speaker 3: the straight of hormouse hostage. As a result, they're holding
- 13:34Speaker 3: the world economy hostage. And it's focused at Donald Trump.
- 13:38Speaker 3: And I know from talking to him over the last
- 13:40Speaker 3: twenty four years the one person he would never want.
- 13:43Speaker 2: To be talking about Jimmy Carter, right, So, and.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Here we are and it was all voluntary.
- 13:51Speaker 1: All right. So there you have it, guys. The point
- 13:53Speaker 1: this is going to be very critical as we play
- 13:57Speaker 1: out the next sixty to ninety days. Part of this
- 13:59Speaker 1: is going to be midterm led how the Republicans and
- 14:03Speaker 1: I think the Democrats navigate these waters because this is
- 14:07Speaker 1: going to become an issue economically for either party no
- 14:11Speaker 1: matter who wins, of trying to deal with this situation
- 14:15Speaker 1: from a macro headwind position. And there's a few assets
- 14:18Speaker 1: that could play very well on this. Obviously we'll see
- 14:21Speaker 1: golds start to I think, perform very well beyond what
- 14:24Speaker 1: we're seeing right now. But you also have to consider
- 14:27Speaker 1: where will digital assets play into this. This is a
- 14:30Speaker 1: key point, and clarity being held hostage right now in
- 14:33Speaker 1: DC may start to spin that one way or another
- 14:37Speaker 1: and at least give the industry some sort of direction,
- 14:41Speaker 1: whether it's good or bad. Or at least in a
- 14:42Speaker 1: position where now the SEC and the CFTC can start rulemaking.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Point is there's a lot of headwinds here that could
- 14:49Speaker 1: see that last little bit of a downturn in a
- 14:52Speaker 1: market before we start to see some things start to change,
- 14:56Speaker 1: so be on the lookout for that. There's not all
- 14:58Speaker 1: bad news, still some good news opportunity here. This starts
- 15:01Speaker 1: to set the market up in a very very interesting way,
- 15:04Speaker 1: so stay tuned. If you like this video, hit like
