- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Kiss.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Our role is to make it just a little easier
- 0:16Speaker 2: for you on a Tuesday. We can't physically relieve the tension.
- 0:21Speaker 2: We can't physically press your pressure points to get rid
- 0:24Speaker 2: of the pain, but we can hopefully make you drift
- 0:28Speaker 2: into a space of not remembering everything that stresses you out.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's basically what I put in the doctor's box when
- 0:35Speaker 2: it says occupation. I'm like, distractor. I'm a professional distractor.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Allow me to distract you from anything that might be
- 0:44Speaker 2: giving you pain.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I love that.
- 0:46Speaker 2: That's what Disney does.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yeah, they sure do.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Disney's the distractor, right? They make you feel good. We're
- 0:53Speaker 2: trying to be the junior version of make you feel good.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: You know what's going to make you feel good?
- 0:57Speaker 2: I can't wait to hear it.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I started doing this three days ago. So let's see
- 1:02Speaker 1: how long it lasts. So she's an expert now. I'm
- 1:04Speaker 1: trying to do it every.
- 1:06Speaker 2: LARPing. LARPing. Put a tennis ball on my bum and
- 1:10Speaker 2: roll around on the floor with it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Do you see how you're the LARPer of the group?
- 1:12Speaker 2: Is that what it is?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Laying down with my feet up against the wall.
- 1:19Speaker 1: For 15 minutes every single night.
- 1:20Speaker 2: You told me about this.
- 1:21Speaker 1: No, this is new. I've never done this before.
- 1:23Speaker 2: No, you did tell me about this. Then someone else
- 1:24Speaker 2: in my life told me about this. Yes, it's a
- 1:26Speaker 2: lymphatic drain. I know all about it.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I can't do it for 15 minutes. I lose circulation.
- 1:31Speaker 5: No, it's just when you're watching your Sterling Point at
- 1:33Speaker 5: the end of the day.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Can I fix your shirt?
- 1:36Speaker 2: What's wrong with my shirt?
- 1:36Speaker 1: Like your collar. Can I just, like that, just put, yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 1: that's better. That's better. No, we don't need to unbutton it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I don't want to unbutton. That's what I'm talking about.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's going to be hot.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Nobody asked for that.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It's going to be hot today. I wore this today
- 1:49Speaker 2: because it's going to be hot.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Wait, Ryan, your chest looks incredible.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Oh, come on.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Is that what you really wanted?
- 1:55Speaker 1: We did not ask you to unbutton your shirt. I
- 1:57Speaker 1: meant just the flutter. Oh, now my arms come out.
- 2:00Speaker 1: You know what you're giving me? You're giving Gaston from
- 2:02Speaker 1: Beauty and the Beast vibes.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Gaston? I'm giving Gaston? Fantastic. Ruby, who was that other
- 2:09Speaker 2: character I was giving at one point that was animated?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh, the frog with the glasses. The one with the
- 2:15Speaker 1: glasses from Monsters, Inc.
- 2:17Speaker 7: Right?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Oh, that's an old lady.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 2:19Speaker 2: But now I'm giving Gaston. This is my Gaston-er. Now,
- 2:23Speaker 2: I wore a button-down today because it's going to be hot.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So later this afternoon when I'm not around y'alls, when
- 2:27Speaker 2: I leave work, I'm going to pop that next button
- 2:29Speaker 2: open when I run my errands.
- 2:30Speaker 5: When are you going to wear the tank tops into work?
- 2:32Speaker 5: I love the tank top over the weekend.
- 2:33Speaker 2: You know what? If you remind me tonight, I will
- 2:36Speaker 2: do it tomorrow.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Permission to text after work hours?
- 2:39Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Granted.
- 2:41Speaker 9: What?
- 2:41Speaker 2: No, I'll wear a tank top with a shirt over it.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You know, that look. What about my tank top are
- 2:46Speaker 2: you talking about?
- 2:47Speaker 5: The one you posted over the weekend, your dinner for two.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, dinner for two.
- 2:50Speaker 5: And then all the food.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I was like, that's a lot of ravioli.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I was cooking dinner. I wanted to make dinner. I
- 2:55Speaker 2: like a romantic night. I like to shop.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah, let's talk about it. I'm glad that you're in
- 2:59Speaker 1: a romance era right now.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You know, I was just riding my bike over the
- 3:03Speaker 2: weekend and I was thinking about romance. I love romance.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I am a romance addict. You know, that is my
- 3:09Speaker 2: dress up tank top. That's my formal tank top.
- 3:11Speaker 5: And your arms are like looking good.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You guys are not good for me. This is too good.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You're going to, this is so good. I don't want
- 3:18Speaker 2: to come back tomorrow and have it be less good.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Thank you. And thank you.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Happy Tuesday.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Wow. Mark, whatever you told them about today's show. Thank you.
- 3:26Speaker 2: My pleasure. Whatever, however you motivated them today. Thank you.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I really want to talk about.
- 3:31Speaker 5: The dinner for two.
- 3:32Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's dinner for two. That's a lot. What would you
- 3:34Speaker 2: like to know?
- 3:35Speaker 7: You and..
- 3:35Speaker 2: And there was so much different food. Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: We had different food. That's right. Because I ask... Here's
- 3:41Speaker 2: how I date. If you come over and I want
- 3:44Speaker 2: to make dinner, I ask for your preferences. What do
- 3:47Speaker 2: you like? What do you not like? I might like cilantro.
- 3:50Speaker 2: You may not. I will make cilantro for mine, not
- 3:52Speaker 2: on yours. I'm a make it to order kind of guy.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm the bear of dating.
- 3:57Speaker 10: Wow.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm basically carmy. Is it carmy? I don't know his name.
- 4:02Speaker 8: Carmy?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Carmy.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm carmy.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So thank you. Gosh, you guys are amazing. Have I
- 4:08Speaker 2: told you how much I love you both?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's cute.
- 4:11Speaker 3: There we are.
- 4:12Speaker 2: All right. It's going to be hot.
- 4:17Speaker 10: 90s, 105.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I knew it.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I knew it. I knew you.
- 4:19Speaker 10: 102.7.
- 4:19Speaker 2: It's Kiss of MLA. Seacrest. Sisney and Tanya. I'm here
- 4:25Speaker 2: to learn. I'm a sponge. My two life coaches, Sisney
- 4:29Speaker 2: and Tanya. Can you imagine the blessing of having two
- 4:32Speaker 2: life coaches named Sisney and Tanya educate you on the
- 4:35Speaker 2: Game of life, relationship, love, pursuit of happiness. Ruby, I
- 4:41Speaker 2: want to bring you in on this because I'm not
- 4:42Speaker 2: quite sure I understand. And my life coaches may be
- 4:44Speaker 2: able to sift through it with clarity. What did you
- 4:49Speaker 2: just say during the I knew it, I love you,
- 4:51Speaker 2: I knew you song?
- 4:53Speaker 1: I was just curious.
- 4:54Speaker 6: If you hooked up with your friend's sibling in the past,
- 4:57Speaker 6: should you tell your current partner?
- 5:00Speaker 2: My friend's sibling.
- 5:02Speaker 9: Yes.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Okay, let me think this through. So who's your friend?
- 5:05Speaker 1: So like, no, let's say Kurt.
- 5:07Speaker 2: If Kurt has a sister, you hooked.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Up with her and your new dinner for two gal,
- 5:14Speaker 5: you're all at a barbecue and Kurt brings his sister.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Do you tell your new dinner for two girl that
- 5:21Speaker 5: you hooked up with Kurt's sister?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that there was history there or something.
- 5:25Speaker 3: No.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Right?
- 5:27Speaker 2: No, I do not.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Especially not in that moment.
- 5:30Speaker 2: No, not in that moment. Why would you ever do that?
- 5:33Speaker 1: I feel like you absolutely should.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Well, you don't know the way to handle this then.
- 5:37Speaker 2: The appropriate thing to do is to be respectful and kind,
- 5:41Speaker 2: but not flirty or act like with a wink, there's
- 5:44Speaker 2: history there. No, no acknowledgement of history. Don't want to
- 5:47Speaker 2: talk about history with anybody with your current. You don't
- 5:50Speaker 2: bring that up.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Oh, you're one of those. So you would never mention it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: No, I wouldn't need to mention it. Why? Why would
- 5:57Speaker 2: you mention it? I wouldn't want her to mention it either.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I will tell you, one time in a last relationship,
- 6:03Speaker 2: I went on vacation.
- 6:05Speaker 1: The ice went. Feels like it was a long time ago.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I mean, now that I have to really think about it,
- 6:08Speaker 1: he leaned back, too.
- 6:09Speaker 5: This was a long time ago.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I went on vacation to this hotel and walked into
- 6:16Speaker 2: the hotel bar, and it was just this other couple,
- 6:20Speaker 2: and I was with my new person.
- 6:22Speaker 9: Uh-huh.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And someone had dated was also there with the new person.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And I did tell my new person that I did
- 6:29Speaker 2: date that person because we were standing in the bar
- 6:31Speaker 2: together and I had to introduce everybody. But it was
- 6:34Speaker 2: so awkward for me and her dude. And I was like,
- 6:38Speaker 2: I didn't really like her dude. But I can't judge.
- 6:41Speaker 1: All you do is judge other men. But here's the problem.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Here's the problem. What's the problem?
- 6:47Speaker 5: If New Girl finds out that you had a thing
- 6:51Speaker 5: with Kurt's sister and you didn't tell her.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Kurt doesn't have a sister. Whatever, pretend.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Imaginary.
- 6:57Speaker 5: If she finds out that later, she's going to be
- 6:59Speaker 5: upset that you never told her. She's going to be like,
- 7:01Speaker 5: I've just lived these last however many months not knowing
- 7:03Speaker 5: that and I feel.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Like a fool.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I don't date anyone like that. So, Tanya, you're welcome.
- 7:13Speaker 1: That was the best response I've ever heard.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Boom. Dropped the mic on that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that was honestly iconic.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I hate that I made you love me. Tarana Grande
- 7:24Speaker 2: on LA's number one hit music station, 102.7. Kiss FM,
- 7:27Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest here. And coming up in a few minutes,
- 7:30Speaker 2: you will sleep better if you sleep with doing this.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Sleep doing this, actually. You'll sleep better. I'm here to
- 7:37Speaker 2: tell you about it. What I'm very excited about today's quote, too.
- 7:41Speaker 2: It's pretty strong. You might want to jot it down.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I have a feeling you'll be able to use it
- 7:45Speaker 2: at some point this week. Tanya has a trending report.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Before you get into this, this is a very sad story.
- 7:51Speaker 2: This is still a very sensitive story. I had met
- 7:56Speaker 2: her over the years and found her to be just
- 7:59Speaker 2: wonderfully lovely and talented. I was heartbroken to hear of
- 8:05Speaker 2: Hayden's passing.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:07Speaker 2: As were so many people. And she had a lot
- 8:08Speaker 2: of fans, a lot of fans, a lot of people
- 8:10Speaker 2: loved Hayden.
- 8:11Speaker 5: But her passing has sparked a major conversation around women's health,
- 8:15Speaker 5: which I think is super, super, super important. And this
- 8:19Speaker 5: has been all over my feeds.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Let's break this down. Hayden Panettiere and something that was
- 8:25Speaker 2: in her memoir.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 5: So she was the face of Neutrogena from 2005 to 2015.
- 8:28Speaker 5: And then back in 2015, she went on this little
- 8:32Speaker 5: show called Live with Kelly and Michael and opened up
- 8:35Speaker 5: about her postpartum depression. And right after she walked off
- 8:38Speaker 5: that stage, Neutrogena wanted to basically fire her. Her agent
- 8:42Speaker 5: bought her some time, but once that contract was up,
- 8:44Speaker 5: they did not renew it. So she wrote about it
- 8:47Speaker 5: in her memoir. This is me, a reckoning. She said,
- 8:49Speaker 5: Neutrogena canceled my longstanding contract, and it was yet another
- 8:52Speaker 5: blow in a year. had given almost nothing else. And
- 8:56Speaker 5: so fans are really just calling out for a boycott.
- 9:00Speaker 5: And Neutrogena has responded, saying that they're deeply saddened by
- 9:02Speaker 5: her death, that they made her feel unsupported. They also
- 9:05Speaker 5: announced a significant investment towards supporting women dealing with postpartum issues.
- 9:10Speaker 5: But I think about how much this conversation around postpartum
- 9:13Speaker 5: depression has changed since 2015. I think a lot more
- 9:16Speaker 5: women are speaking out about it now these days. But
- 9:19Speaker 5: back then, women weren't opening up and talking about it.
- 9:22Speaker 5: And this is something that affects so many women and
- 9:25Speaker 5: i just i'm i'm happy that this is starting to
- 9:28Speaker 5: create even more of a bigger conversation about how serious
- 9:31Speaker 5: these things are and how women are scared to speak
- 9:34Speaker 5: up because of things like this that happen to hayden
- 9:37Speaker 5: you know what i mean.
- 9:38Speaker 6: So this is wrong it's so wrong and it's so
- 9:41Speaker 6: random like why would you cancel somebody for that reason you.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Know back in 20 i just i feel like it
- 9:45Speaker 5: was so different back then there was there was shame
- 9:48Speaker 5: around it about that you dealt with postpartum depression.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Because you had to take like, you know, antidepressant pills.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Or something like that.
- 9:55Speaker 11: Yes. yes.
- 9:56Speaker 5: And then having a baby, you're supposed to be happy
- 9:58Speaker 5: and joyous.
- 9:59Speaker 1: And so..
- 10:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's a shame this is being litigated after
- 10:03Speaker 2: her death where she couldn't, hasn't had the opportunity to
- 10:06Speaker 2: talk about it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, right.
- 10:07Speaker 2: She wrote about it, but not to talk about it. However,
- 10:10Speaker 2: things come to mind like, wow, it's shocking. I read
- 10:14Speaker 2: some of the responses that people had about this and
- 10:17Speaker 2: so many people are right by how they were up
- 10:19Speaker 2: in arms and reacted about it. But here's the thing
- 10:21Speaker 2: with any brand, you know, human beings, you, the brand
- 10:25Speaker 2: who worked for the brand, you're human beings, any brand.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I'm not talking about just that brand, but any brand,
- 10:29Speaker 2: when you've got a human being representing your brand, you've
- 10:31Speaker 2: got these morality clauses. There are certain things that should
- 10:34Speaker 2: be in there and maybe certain things that shouldn't be
- 10:35Speaker 2: in there. If that was in there, that shouldn't be
- 10:37Speaker 2: in there.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And you know, Brands want to talk about fitness and
- 10:43Speaker 2: wellness and longevity and beauty and health and all that stuff.
- 10:47Speaker 2: You got to be able to talk about vulnerability too.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And if you want to have vulnerability be something that
- 10:54Speaker 2: your spokesperson can speak about, that's going to be a
- 10:58Speaker 2: better spokesperson anyway.
- 10:59Speaker 3: For sure.
- 11:00Speaker 2: That is relatable. Everybody's got a vulnerability that they may
- 11:04Speaker 2: not feel most comfortable always talking about. You do.
- 11:08Speaker 11: We do.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Of course.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That's the thing I keep thinking about, but I don't
- 11:12Speaker 2: like this being talked about without her being able to
- 11:15Speaker 2: be here.
- 11:15Speaker 5: No, but it is, I think, in her honor, a
- 11:19Speaker 5: great conversation that is now being had and brought to light.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It shouldn't even be a conversation, should it?
- 11:24Speaker 8: That's true.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It shouldn't even be one. All right, we're taking a break.
- 11:28Speaker 2: We're coming back here next at Kiss FM. I have
- 11:30Speaker 2: your quotes of the day, which I think you might
- 11:31Speaker 2: want to use this week. That's Olivia Dean, 102.7, Kiss FM,
- 11:36Speaker 2: Los Angeles. All right, 720, it's a second date update.
- 11:39Speaker 2: They showed up for their first date in matching outfits,
- 11:43Speaker 2: and it all went wrong from there. First, Sisney has
- 11:45Speaker 2: the headlines. Kiss FM headlines with Sisney.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Well, we are in it.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Triple-digit heat and gusty winds have put us in a
- 11:52Speaker 6: red flag warning from 10 a.m.
- 11:55Speaker 1: This morning until 3 p.m.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Friday.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Disneyland is breaking ground on a new parking structure and
- 12:01Speaker 6: transportation hub that will add thousands of spaces and help
- 12:05Speaker 6: make parking and traffic flow.
- 12:07Speaker 1: A little easier for guests.
- 12:09Speaker 6: The company responsible for the Garden Grove hazmat scare earlier
- 12:13Speaker 6: this year, which forced evacuations of 50,000 people, announced a
- 12:18Speaker 6: $ 100 million compensation fund.
- 12:21Speaker 1: And one of L.A. 's first air.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Taxis was unveiled at L.A. Live yesterday, where a new
- 12:28Speaker 6: vertiport is planned to be up and running in time
- 12:32Speaker 6: for the 2028 Olympics.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Olivia Rodrigo on Kiss. Morning.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Morning.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So I found myself using my voice dictation a lot
- 12:47Speaker 2: now on my phone. I know, I noticed that. Yeah, well,
- 12:50Speaker 2: I also, when I send all of y'all a text,
- 12:52Speaker 2: it's now voice dictated. So I've hit that little button
- 12:56Speaker 2: and I talk into the phone. Well, my guy, my girl,
- 13:00Speaker 2: whatever is inside my phone doesn't hear well. So my
- 13:05Speaker 2: phone has a hearing issue. So now when, you know,
- 13:09Speaker 2: cause I would sit in a place, a public place
- 13:11Speaker 2: or on a bench and be like, uh, Tanya and Susan,
- 13:14Speaker 2: you have an idea for tomorrow. And, uh, this is it.
- 13:18Speaker 2: And then I was at the end. I always say,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and sorry for any typos. This has been dictated. I
- 13:22Speaker 2: say that. That's how you do it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: But he's so mumbly. Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Well, my, no, my phone just can't hear. So now
- 13:28Speaker 2: when I send a voice note, I have to speak
- 13:30Speaker 2: like this in public. So I'm speaking loudly. I'm yelling
- 13:33Speaker 2: into my phone.
- 13:34Speaker 1: That happens with my Google home, but it defeats the
- 13:36Speaker 1: purpose of me doing it.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Doing it because i'm type it out you got two
- 13:39Speaker 2: choices no no my doctor says stop typing is your
- 13:42Speaker 2: doctor not told you that why madness oh no yeah
- 13:46Speaker 2: and that is causing a lot of issues in people's
- 13:48Speaker 2: fingers and wrists and over time carpal tunnel bad well
- 13:53Speaker 2: that and worse it also it's a ripple effect what's
- 13:56Speaker 2: worse well it gets up to your elbow and it
- 13:59Speaker 2: gets into your arms and your shoulders i mean i'm
- 14:02Speaker 2: just let let me tell you now i know typing.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Well what Like on our keyboards too?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Stop it all. If you go to Silicon Valley and
- 14:11Speaker 2: you talk to the smart thinkers there, they don't type.
- 14:14Speaker 2: They'll tell you right now, we stop typing. Matter of fact,
- 14:17Speaker 2: they're inventing necklaces that you just talk into.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I believe you.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Stop your typing. You need to talk. The thing is,
- 14:26Speaker 2: I don't know if it's my phone or me. My
- 14:29Speaker 2: phone can't hear.
- 14:30Speaker 5: No, I think you've ticked the L on this one.
- 14:32Speaker 5: It's definitely you.
- 14:34Speaker 2: But when I speak like this into it, it does
- 14:36Speaker 2: type it correctly. And then I get upset with it.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I'm like, no. And then it records that.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I hate when that happens. Cancel, cancel.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And then it records that. Why does that irk me
- 14:47Speaker 2: like no other thing on the planet? Even my chat GPT,
- 14:52Speaker 2: if it's thinking, I'm like, hurry up, bro.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You're AI.
- 14:56Speaker 2: How are you taking so long? I'm going to Claude.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Exactly, but then Claude.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Just doesn't hit the same way as Chad sometimes.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I have to train my Claude, but I tell Chad
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm over it.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Exactly, my Claude's not trained.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I tell Chad I'm going to Claude. See how that feels.
- 15:11Speaker 2: How do you like my absence, Chad?
- 15:15Speaker 1: The fact that this is a conversation is just so 2026.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I want Chad to be envious of my Claude.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm with you. I might do the same thing.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and see if it gets better.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I can't wait to try it later.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Oh, the Dodgers are on a six-game streak. 2.7 is
- 15:32Speaker 2: Kiss FM. Time for our second date update. My advice,
- 15:35Speaker 2: this is my advice. Don't call us. My advice is
- 15:38Speaker 2: if somebody goes out with you and don't want to
- 15:39Speaker 2: go out with you again, let it go. It's just,
- 15:43Speaker 2: you got to move on. Let it go. You don't
- 15:44Speaker 2: need to know why. It's not you. Don't blame yourself.
- 15:48Speaker 5: No, but sometimes it is you and it is nice
- 15:49Speaker 5: to know why because then you don't make the same
- 15:51Speaker 5: mistake again.
- 15:52Speaker 6: You need to know why so that you can move
- 15:53Speaker 6: on and let go and have peace and closure.
- 15:56Speaker 1: This is because you.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Guys live in a world of sums. I'm a, it's not,
- 15:59Speaker 2: is it? like a zero sum game. I don't care.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I just want to, if you, if you don't want
- 16:04Speaker 2: to go out again, I don't, I really don't want
- 16:06Speaker 2: to know. I just want to move on. I don't
- 16:08Speaker 2: want to waste my energy, my time, burn calories, thinking
- 16:10Speaker 2: about it.
- 16:13Speaker 1: You don't want to burn calories.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Well, you know what I mean? Like burn calories, like time.
- 16:17Speaker 10: Okay.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Jasmine is on the line here. Good morning, Jasmine. Thanks
- 16:21Speaker 2: for reaching out in Pasadena. So you met this guy
- 16:23Speaker 2: on a first date and you were wearing matching outfits. Basically.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yep.
- 16:28Speaker 7: Yep.
- 16:28Speaker 12: Uh, we met on Bumble and he asked me out
- 16:33Speaker 12: for a traditional dinner and a movie, which, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 12: I liked because I feel like drinks is like really noncommittal. Um,
- 16:43Speaker 12: so yeah, we went to Celestino for dinner and then
- 16:46Speaker 12: we walked over to the landmark and saw the Odyssey,
- 16:49Speaker 12: which like wasn't my cup of tea, but it's fine.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Um, How?
- 16:54Speaker 3: What?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Okay, keep going. Just get me to the date. What
- 16:56Speaker 2: were you wearing?
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 13: What was I wearing?
- 16:59Speaker 12: Something green.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You said matching outfits.
- 17:04Speaker 11: What was he wearing?
- 17:07Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 12: He was wearing, like, another shirt that was green, and
- 17:10Speaker 12: we both wore blue jeans.
- 17:11Speaker 3: So it was.
- 17:13Speaker 11: Cute, you know?
- 17:14Speaker 12: Like, we held hands.
- 17:16Speaker 11: It was really nice.
- 17:17Speaker 12: But after the movie, he just, like, walked me back
- 17:20Speaker 12: to my car, and that was it.
- 17:24Speaker 2: And then did anybody text anybody after?
- 17:26Speaker 11: You know, he is responding to my text, but he's
- 17:32Speaker 11: not asking me out again.
- 17:34Speaker 10: So..
- 17:34Speaker 11: Okay.
- 17:36Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 11: It's not a total loss.
- 17:38Speaker 2: You're still engaged in contact.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's a good sign.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:44Speaker 11: I mean, it feels like he's not interested and, you know,
- 17:50Speaker 11: I think... Yeah, I am hinting here and there that
- 17:55Speaker 11: I'd like to go out again, but.
- 17:58Speaker 12: He's just not.
- 18:00Speaker 8: Taking the bait at all.
- 18:01Speaker 2: What about this? How about you send a text saying, hey,
- 18:04Speaker 2: I'd love to see you again. If not, no worries,
- 18:05Speaker 2: no pressure.
- 18:06Speaker 12: I like that.
- 18:10Speaker 11: Yeah, I guess I could do that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Why do you like the guy?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Why do you want to go out with him again?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Why are we here? Tell me what you want me
- 18:17Speaker 2: to do.
- 18:19Speaker 12: Um, I would just like to know why he's like not.
- 18:23Speaker 11: Interested in asking me out again, but.
- 18:28Speaker 2: You or you want to go out with him? Like
- 18:30Speaker 2: you want to know why you're not being asked out
- 18:33Speaker 2: or do you actually want to date the guy?
- 18:36Speaker 12: Thank you. I mean, we held hands. We shared popcorn.
- 18:42Speaker 12: I don't know the guy that well, but I'd like
- 18:45Speaker 12: to see him again. I'd like to get to know him.
- 18:47Speaker 10: All right.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I got you.
- 18:48Speaker 4: All right.
- 18:48Speaker 2: We're going to call him. We're going to get him
- 18:50Speaker 2: on the line, and we, with you listening, will find
- 18:52Speaker 2: out why he's not being more assertive. It's Kiss FM,
- 18:55Speaker 2: a second date update. Kiss FM, LA's number one music station.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Let me bring you up to speed fast if you
- 19:01Speaker 2: just got here. We're in the middle of this thing.
- 19:03Speaker 2: We do called second date update. Like you meet somebody,
- 19:06Speaker 2: you go out and then they blow you off. You
- 19:08Speaker 2: want to know why? That's why we're here. We try
- 19:10Speaker 2: and find out why. Jasmine met Eric Bumble. They go out,
- 19:13Speaker 2: they saw the Odyssey, they held hands and they shared popcorn.
- 19:17Speaker 2: To me, holding hands is a big deal.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And the first date that is. Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That says I would not hold someone's hand and then
- 19:25Speaker 2: not go out with them a second time.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 19:28Speaker 2: It's the wrong signal. It's mixed messaging. So Jasmine, I've
- 19:31Speaker 2: got Eric on the phone. Be very quiet. Let me
- 19:33Speaker 2: find out why he's not asking you out again. You
- 19:35Speaker 2: think he's cute. You want to see him, but he's
- 19:36Speaker 2: just not being assertive. Yeah. Hold on. Here we go.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Be very quiet. Let me talk to Eric. Hey, Eric,
- 19:44Speaker 2: it's Ryan Seacrest. How are you, brother?
- 19:47Speaker 14: Good.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Wow.
- 19:48Speaker 12: Okay.
- 19:49Speaker 11: Awesome.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I got Sisney and Tanya.
- 19:51Speaker 8: Hi, Eric.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Life coaches. Life coaches online. Listen, here's the thing. We're
- 19:56Speaker 2: calling about a woman named Jasmine you met on Bumble.
- 19:57Speaker 2: How was the date?
- 20:02Speaker 3: Well, okay. So it was a little weird. you know,
- 20:15Speaker 3: like we went to the movies, you know?
- 20:18Speaker 7: Yes.
- 20:19Speaker 2: What was weird? Just take me to the weird part.
- 20:21Speaker 12: Okay.
- 20:22Speaker 3: So there's a couple sitting behind us.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:25Speaker 3: And I was like, like, I'm pretty sure those were
- 20:29Speaker 3: her parents.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Okay. And I was like, you know, I don't know.
- 20:39Speaker 2: It's like chaperoning, watching your behavior.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I don't know, but she didn't say anything. So it
- 20:44Speaker 3: was really weird.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Are those your units behind us?
- 20:48Speaker 3: I didn't like put it sort of together till like later,
- 20:52Speaker 3: but like, I, that appears to be what happened. And
- 20:55Speaker 3: I'm like, pretty sure those were parents. And I was like, you.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Guys both adults. Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:02Speaker 2: So maybe she brought her parents to play protector. Right.
- 21:05Speaker 2: To the room monitor.
- 21:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Pretty weird.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well, look, if it were her parents, I would think
- 21:11Speaker 2: that's weird. I would think that's strange. I would not
- 21:14Speaker 2: feel so comfortable with that. But you're unsure. Otherwise, did
- 21:17Speaker 2: you like her, Jasmine?
- 21:20Speaker 3: I did.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Okay. So, Eric, I have Jasmine on the phone, and
- 21:24Speaker 2: she likes you. She thinks you're cute, and she wants
- 21:28Speaker 2: to go out with you again. But Jasmine, were your
- 21:30Speaker 2: parents chaperoning the date behind you?
- 21:35Speaker 10: Hi.
- 21:35Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 2: So yes, you're right.
- 21:41Speaker 12: Those were my parents, but it was just a coincidence.
- 21:47Speaker 11: They just happened to be in the same movie. And
- 21:52Speaker 11: I just thought it would be super weird to introduce.
- 21:55Speaker 12: You because it would have.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It would have been really awkward, right?
- 21:58Speaker 11: So I just like motioned for them, like not to
- 22:01Speaker 11: talk to us. And, uh, I didn't think you saw.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Like, so Jasmine, let me give you my feedback. I
- 22:10Speaker 2: think it's extra weird that you didn't mention that they
- 22:13Speaker 2: were there and you missed a great opportunity to break
- 22:16Speaker 2: the ice by saying, Oh my gosh, Eric, can you
- 22:18Speaker 2: believe this? My parents are behind us. That is crazy.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Let's dash off and go do something else. I think
- 22:24Speaker 2: it would have been a very good opportunity. You look
- 22:26Speaker 2: for those tentpole moments in a first date that can
- 22:31Speaker 2: icebreak and be a great story later on. This is
- 22:34Speaker 2: one of them. So that's a missed opportunity. But I
- 22:36Speaker 2: find it to be stranger that you covered it up.
- 22:39Speaker 2: If it were me, if I were Eric, I would
- 22:41Speaker 2: be weirded out by that, too.
- 22:44Speaker 11: Yeah, you know, in retrospect, I think you have a
- 22:47Speaker 11: good point there. Like, I should have just acknowledged it.
- 22:50Speaker 8: But, yeah, I was just, like, super embarrassed.
- 22:55Speaker 12: And, you know, I know they can be a.
- 22:57Speaker 11: Bit overprotective, so I just didn't want them to, like,
- 23:00Speaker 11: you know, start asking weird questions or something. So, yeah, like,
- 23:04Speaker 11: it definitely wasn't a good impulse to have.
- 23:08Speaker 3: And, yeah, like, my bad.
- 23:10Speaker 10: Okay.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Go ahead, Eric.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I'm not sure they weren't at the restaurant, too. Were
- 23:14Speaker 3: they at the restaurant?
- 23:16Speaker 1: Oh, no, no. I promise.
- 23:17Speaker 11: They were definitely not.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Do your parents trust you out with a guy?
- 23:22Speaker 11: They do. They do trust me. I know this whole
- 23:29Speaker 11: situation seems, like, really weird, but, like, that definitely would
- 23:35Speaker 11: never happen again. Okay.
- 23:36Speaker 14: So..
- 23:39Speaker 2: This is a second date update. It's difficult to find
- 23:42Speaker 2: the right person, you know, anyway. Here's my opinion, and
- 23:48Speaker 2: then you tell us what you want to do. This
- 23:50Speaker 2: was an unplanned, unfortunate circumstance that won't happen again. And
- 23:56Speaker 2: if you liked her enough, let's forget the fact that
- 23:58Speaker 2: her parents were there. Let's forget the fact that she
- 24:00Speaker 2: chose to cover it up. Forget all that. If you
- 24:03Speaker 2: liked her, ask her out again. If you didn't, don't.
- 24:05Speaker 2: What's your plan?
- 24:10Speaker 3: I don't know. I feel like it was great meeting her,
- 24:15Speaker 3: but I think I'm good.
- 24:17Speaker 2: You just don't like her. You're just not into her.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I mean, that's it. You're just not into her, which
- 24:21Speaker 2: is okay. Just say it.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like they have her location and
- 24:25Speaker 3: this is going to happen again, honestly.
- 24:27Speaker 2: No, you don't like her and that is fine, but
- 24:30Speaker 2: you need to just be honest with her.
- 24:34Speaker 5: All right.
- 24:34Speaker 3: I think this is going to happen again. And honestly,
- 24:36Speaker 3: you could have just texted me all this.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Take care. It's not going to work out. It's not
- 24:41Speaker 2: going to work out here.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:42Speaker 1: That's rude.
- 24:43Speaker 2: He's he got a little rude there at the end.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Jasmine better off. You guys are not together. I think
- 24:47Speaker 2: maybe your parents are in there and him being rude
- 24:49Speaker 2: happened for a reason. He's not the one.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Thank you for reaching out.
- 24:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 12: No, thanks guys. I'm glad I got a clear answer.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Back to Bumble. You go. It's kiss. On Air with
- 25:04Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest. You're on Kiss FM. Can't take this call
- 25:11Speaker 2: fast enough. Ella is on the phone. Seacrest, Sissany, Tanya.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Thanks for rolling with us on the iHeartRadio app. We're
- 25:16Speaker 2: in a valley village. So, Ella, good morning.
- 25:20Speaker 9: Morning.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Your friend does not have air conditioning. You said, hey,
- 25:25Speaker 2: come stay at my place while we're out of town
- 25:27Speaker 2: because I have air conditioning. And then your friend, after
- 25:29Speaker 2: you got back, said, oh, I want to charge you
- 25:32Speaker 2: for me house sitting and using your air conditioning. Basically,
- 25:35Speaker 2: they want to be paid for house sitting after what
- 25:38Speaker 2: I think you did was a favor to them. Is
- 25:40Speaker 2: that right?
- 25:40Speaker 1: That's not a thing.
- 25:41Speaker 8: A hundred percent. She doesn't have a seat. It's been miserable.
- 25:45Speaker 8: So I was going out of town, told her, hey,
- 25:48Speaker 8: come over and stay like. You don't have to do anything.
- 25:50Speaker 8: We don't have pets or plants or anything. Just stay cool.
- 25:54Speaker 8: And that's exactly how it went down. She wants to
- 25:57Speaker 8: be paid now.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:58Speaker 2: And she said, great. Thank you very much. I really
- 26:00Speaker 2: appreciate that going in.
- 26:02Speaker 8: She was thrilled. She didn't say anything about payment, nothing.
- 26:06Speaker 8: She was just happy to, you know, get out.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Of the heat.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:09Speaker 2: So I need to understand something here. When you returned
- 26:14Speaker 2: from your trip, what were the words she used? What
- 26:16Speaker 2: did she say? How did she ask you?
- 26:19Speaker 8: She texted me a few days after we have returned
- 26:21Speaker 8: and she literally said, so when are you going to
- 26:24Speaker 8: send me the money for house sitting?
- 26:25Speaker 2: Ew.
- 26:28Speaker 8: And I'm thinking like, am I going crazy?
- 26:33Speaker 2: You know, I know people. I know people. You give
- 26:36Speaker 2: them an inch, they take a yard.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I know people like this. Exactly.
- 26:40Speaker 8: And I was like, wait, I wasn't hiring you to
- 26:42Speaker 8: house sit. I was letting you stay at my house
- 26:44Speaker 8: for a week.
- 26:44Speaker 5: And you should charge her the electricity bill for all
- 26:47Speaker 5: the AC she was using while you were gone.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Fair. That's fair.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I think Tanya has a fair response. It's like, hey, look,
- 26:56Speaker 2: first of all, if this wasn't discussed going in, you
- 26:58Speaker 2: can't backwash it. You can't talk about after the fact.
- 27:03Speaker 2: And then second of all, your reply should be, actually,
- 27:08Speaker 2: if that was your expectation, we should have talked about
- 27:10Speaker 2: ahead of time.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I just calculated the utility bill for the air conditionings.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And it comes to this total. I'd appreciate the Venmo.
- 27:18Speaker 2: See you soon. That would be my response.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I mean, that's the end of that friendship. If we
- 27:22Speaker 1: all are getting there.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 27:26Speaker 8: I don't, I don't even know how to like approach
- 27:29Speaker 8: our next conversation about it.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Like it's wild.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Where's common courtesy.
- 27:33Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Where are people with that?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Gone.
- 27:37Speaker 6: I have my friend's house at all the time and
- 27:39Speaker 6: help me with the dogs and things like that. I've never,
- 27:41Speaker 6: they've never once asked to be paid.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Hey, how about they should start teaching something again in
- 27:45Speaker 2: school called manners?
- 27:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Ella, thank you very much for listening.
- 27:49Speaker 1: A manners course.
- 27:50Speaker 9: All right.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Thanks, guys. You don't owe any money for that. All right.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Bye-bye.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Let me ask. Bella, you're at USC. They teach manners?
- 28:01Speaker 1: They do not.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Well, did you learn manners in school?
- 28:04Speaker 10: Well, for my parents, yeah.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Right, but why not school?
- 28:07Speaker 5: Manners.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Honestly, manners are gone. Where have manners gone?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Right, like an etiquette class.
- 28:14Speaker 2: We need manners to come back. I don't know manners.
- 28:17Speaker 2: People know manners.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Ugh, so rude. Everyone's just in their own world. That's
- 28:21Speaker 1: the whole thing.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Well, that is selfish. Right.
- 28:24Speaker 1: We share the world.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Implement manners classes.
- 28:29Speaker 11: All right.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I'm going to start a school of manners.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I was just going to say you should start your
- 28:33Speaker 1: own school.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest School of Manners.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Fantastic idea.
- 28:37Speaker 5: I'll sign up.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Right?
- 28:39Speaker 2: For all ages. I don't like this. A lot of
- 28:43Speaker 2: them and a lot of people getting stung by the stingers.
- 28:45Speaker 2: We'll tell you about that next.
- 28:54Speaker 7: Fight fear for the selfish pain, it was worth it
- 28:58Speaker 7: every time Hold still right before we crash, cause we
- 29:04Speaker 7: both know how this ends A clock ticks till it
- 29:10Speaker 7: breaks your glass and I drown.
- 29:13Speaker 2: In you again.
- 29:14Speaker 14: Cause you are the piece of me I wish I
- 29:21Speaker 14: didn't need. Chasing relentlessly, still fighting. I don't know why
- 29:31Speaker 14: if our love is.
- 30:17Speaker 7: Walk on through a red parade and refuse to make
- 30:22Speaker 7: amends It.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Cuts deep to.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Our ground and makes us forget all common sense.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Don't speak as.
- 30:33Speaker 7: I try to leave Cause we both know what we'll
- 30:37Speaker 7: choose If you pull then I'll push too deep And
- 30:42Speaker 7: I'll fall right back to.
- 30:47Speaker 14: You Cause you are the piece of me I wish
- 30:53Speaker 14: I didn't.
- 30:54Speaker 7: Need Chasing relentlessly.
- 30:56Speaker 14: Still fighting, I don't know why If.
- 31:00Speaker 8: Our love.
- 31:04Speaker 14: Is tragedy Why are you my remedy?
- 31:08Speaker 1: If I loved insanity, why are you my clarity?
- 31:13Speaker 10: Hey Hey.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Dead in boxes on Kiss FM. That sounds great. Let's
- 32:04Speaker 2: pack up our potato wedges and go to the beach.
- 32:06Speaker 2: But be careful of this stingrays playing hide and seek.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Potato wedges to the beach?
- 32:14Speaker 2: Maybe it's not practical.
- 32:15Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:16Speaker 2: They get soggy and cold.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Or maybe you bring some chips. Sandwiches.
- 32:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:20Speaker 2: I don't bring my barbecue tip, but it sounds good.
- 32:23Speaker 10: It does.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Anyway, point is, you got to do the stingray shuffle.
- 32:26Speaker 2: The stingrays are everywhere. So there are how many and
- 32:29Speaker 2: how many people have been stung? Like, excuse me, what's
- 32:30Speaker 2: going on in Seal Beach?
- 32:31Speaker 1: We're in the thousands.
- 32:32Speaker 6: 3,100 people have been stung at Bolsa Chica, Huntington State
- 32:36Speaker 6: Beach so.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Far this year. 3,100 human beings this year?
- 32:40Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 32:40Speaker 6: And that is already double of all of last year.
- 32:44Speaker 6: We're not even done with the year yet. So if
- 32:46Speaker 6: you include all of 2025, this has already doubled that number.
- 32:49Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 32:51Speaker 6: Researchers have recently pulled around 200 stingrays.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Out of one small area.
- 32:55Speaker 6: So not even just like the whole beach, a small
- 32:58Speaker 6: area of Seal Beach, where we're from. And apparently there
- 33:02Speaker 6: can be so many down there and there's like babies
- 33:05Speaker 6: down there.
- 33:05Speaker 1: It's a carpet. So you really don't know. Because they
- 33:09Speaker 1: hide under that layer of sand.
- 33:10Speaker 2: When you walk in.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I cannot. Isn't that terrifying?
- 33:13Speaker 5: Yes.
- 33:14Speaker 2: So what are you supposed to do? They say you
- 33:16Speaker 2: shuffle in, but I'm afraid to shuffle.
- 33:17Speaker 1: It's the stingray shuffle.
- 33:19Speaker 6: So you kind of don't ever pick up your feet.
- 33:21Speaker 6: If you're going into the ocean, you kind of just
- 33:23Speaker 6: shuffle them in. What if I hit the back of
- 33:27Speaker 6: the guy?
- 33:27Speaker 1: If you hit it, it'll get scared and it'll swim away.
- 33:30Speaker 6: If you step on it, that's when it freaks out
- 33:34Speaker 6: and it'll sting you.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a knee. You know when you kick
- 33:37Speaker 2: your knee with the hammer and it just jerks? I
- 33:39Speaker 2: think that's the same thing with the stingray. Step on it,
- 33:41Speaker 2: that thing just kicks up and stings you. But a
- 33:43Speaker 2: stingray sting is not, it does not feel good. I mean,
- 33:46Speaker 2: that lasts for a long time. It's very painful. It
- 33:48Speaker 2: can't kill you, I don't think.
- 33:49Speaker 10: No, I know.
- 33:50Speaker 2: But it can really be painful.
- 33:51Speaker 6: And this is all happening because of El Nino, the
- 33:54Speaker 6: warmer waters right now on all.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Of our oceans. I know, the super El Nino.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Can we just have a year without a weather crisis?
- 34:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 6: The crazy part is that, like, they're saying it'll be
- 34:07Speaker 6: the craziest Super El Nino we've ever seen. And, like,
- 34:11Speaker 6: it hasn't even happened yet. And they're saying it'll happen
- 34:12Speaker 6: this year. So does that mean that, like..
- 34:14Speaker 1: We're going to be in full on rain.
- 34:17Speaker 5: September.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I don't know about September.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Maybe September, but all of October. Fall, winter. I think
- 34:23Speaker 2: it's not going to be great. You're going to have
- 34:26Speaker 2: to think about sharks, too. You've got those stingrays coming in.
- 34:28Speaker 2: You've got those warm water sharks coming in. We've got
- 34:30Speaker 2: real problems.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Don't even get me started on leaks. Roof leaks? That's
- 34:34Speaker 1: where all the stuff is going to get unfolded.
- 34:36Speaker 2: What is the deal? We get droughts.
- 34:38Speaker 10: Fine.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We get fires. Now we're going to get this thing?
- 34:40Speaker 9: I know.
- 34:41Speaker 2: That's just not right. Save the states, please, from the
- 34:45Speaker 2: weather crisis.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Don't get me started on earthquakes right now.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yeah, earthquakes.
- 34:48Speaker 1: And the amount that are happening across the whole world.
- 34:50Speaker 2: The fact that we have to live in an earthquake region,
- 34:53Speaker 2: that alone should be enough crisis to be worried about.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Now El Nino's going to come?
- 34:57Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I'm really releasing cortisol about it all. And I don't
- 35:02Speaker 2: know what to do. I don't know what to do.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Do the stingray shuffle.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I'm not doing any shuffle near that thing. Get that
- 35:09Speaker 2: dart in my thigh. painful you know where there's no
- 35:14Speaker 2: ankle no stingrays in raging waters water that's true i
- 35:18Speaker 2: got tickets to go stingray.
- 35:19Speaker 9: List next on air with ryan seacrest on 102.7 professional
- 35:25Speaker 9: wrestling fans the app 102.7 kiss fm all right let's
- 35:30Speaker 9: give away some raging waters tickets we're gonna play a
- 35:31Speaker 9: game it feels like the right day to play it's
- 35:33Speaker 9: gonna be hot today we're gonna play how hot.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Will it be how hot will it get or get
- 35:40Speaker 2: same deal Hi, Denise. It's Ryan Seacrest. This is Nintanya.
- 35:44Speaker 2: How are you? Hi, good.
- 35:46Speaker 1: How are you?
- 35:47Speaker 11: Good morning.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Good morning. Where are you going?
- 35:50Speaker 11: I'm going to the airport right now.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Oh, are you picking somebody up or are you bailing?
- 35:57Speaker 11: I am dropping my grandparents off.
- 36:00Speaker 1: You are so kind to do that.
- 36:02Speaker 12: I know, right?
- 36:03Speaker 9: Right?
- 36:04Speaker 2: So you roll into LAX. All right, we're going to
- 36:06Speaker 2: play a quick game while they're in the car called
- 36:09Speaker 2: How Hot Will It Get? I'll basically name a Southern
- 36:11Speaker 2: California community, and Sisney's going to guess today's high temperature
- 36:15Speaker 2: in that city.
- 36:16Speaker 11: Okay.
- 36:17Speaker 2: I forgot to tell you that. You're going to guess,
- 36:19Speaker 2: according to weather.com, if she's right, you win automatically. If
- 36:22Speaker 2: she's wrong, you've got to guess higher or lower. Got it?
- 36:26Speaker 2: Got it.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So you've got to get three right before you get
- 36:30Speaker 2: three wrong. The first one... Woodland Hills. Sissany, what's the
- 36:33Speaker 2: high going to be?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Woodland Hills.
- 36:37Speaker 9: 98.
- 36:37Speaker 2: That's wrong. So is it higher or lower?
- 36:41Speaker 14: Higher.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Yes.
- 36:42Speaker 12: No.
- 36:43Speaker 2: It's going to be lower.
- 36:44Speaker 10: 97.
- 36:44Speaker 2: No.
- 36:44Speaker 1: No.
- 36:47Speaker 10: 97.
- 36:47Speaker 2: You're way off, Sissany.
- 36:49Speaker 1: One degree off.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Well, one degree is a big difference.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 36:53Speaker 2: All right. In Lancaster, what's it going to be today's high, Sissany?
- 36:56Speaker 2: What's your guess?
- 36:57Speaker 6: Triple digits for sure. I'm going to go 107.
- 37:01Speaker 2: She says 1-7. She's wrong. Higher or lower, Denise?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Lower.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yeah, 1-0-5. So close. All right. So far, so not. Yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 2: you got one.
- 37:14Speaker 1: You got one.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I got one.
- 37:16Speaker 8: All right.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Redondo Beach. Redondo Beach. Is it going to be what?
- 37:20Speaker 6: Here's the crazy thing about the beaches right now is
- 37:22Speaker 6: that we're in the 80s, and I want to say
- 37:24Speaker 6: Redondo Beach can be 84.
- 37:28Speaker 2: That's wrong. Higher or lower, Denise?
- 37:31Speaker 5: I'm going to say lower.
- 37:33Speaker 9: Yeah. 83.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Oh, come on, you guys. You should get one of
- 37:38Speaker 2: these right. Come on.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I was so confident about that one.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Here we go. Whittier. What's it going to be? Today's high, Sisney.
- 37:45Speaker 2: What's your guess?
- 37:50Speaker 1: Whittier is so inland. I feel like Whittier.
- 37:54Speaker 2: I'm thinking triple digits.
- 37:55Speaker 1: 101. 101.
- 38:01Speaker 2: She's right.
- 38:03Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 38:05Speaker 2: She wins. Denise wins. Denise gets that one right. She
- 38:10Speaker 2: got the other. She wins. Congratulations, Denise. You're going to
- 38:12Speaker 2: cool off at Raging Waters. What do your grandparents think
- 38:14Speaker 2: of that? Oh, my God.
- 38:16Speaker 5: They're excited.
- 38:17Speaker 3: They're excited for me.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Do they even know what you're doing? Do they realize
- 38:20Speaker 2: that you're on the radio on Kiss FM?
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Well, tell them hi and safe driving, safe travels. Thank
- 38:29Speaker 2: you for listening. Hold on one second. We'll get you
- 38:30Speaker 2: your tickets.
- 38:32Speaker 8: Thank you so much.
- 38:33Speaker 2: You're welcome. Thank you, Denise. Thank you. It's Kiss FM.
- 38:39Speaker 1: On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 38:45Speaker 2: It's Kiss. Ryan Seacrest is named Tanya. I have to admit.
- 38:51Speaker 2: If I were to go on a first date, I
- 38:53Speaker 2: will think ahead of time about different things to ask
- 38:55Speaker 2: this person. Based on what I know about this person,
- 38:58Speaker 2: I will think through thoughtful questions and conversations. Absolutely.
- 39:02Speaker 1: That's nice.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:04Speaker 2: I will. I will remember that they told me what
- 39:08Speaker 2: their father did for a living and ask them about that.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I will remember them talking about their sister who's a
- 39:14Speaker 2: gymnast and ask about that. I will think it through.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I'll have it in my head. occasionally, if it's very nuanced,
- 39:22Speaker 2: I'll put the notes in my phone. And the Uber
- 39:25Speaker 2: over there, I'll take a good look and glance and
- 39:27Speaker 2: try and memorize. It's fine. I have no shame in that.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I have a question for you.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I have an answer.
- 39:33Speaker 1: What have you done with your past notes?
- 39:35Speaker 2: I got them all here.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I was going to say they're still in there
- 39:38Speaker 5: for sure.
- 39:39Speaker 1: You just keep them?
- 39:40Speaker 2: They're under code name, like Fireball.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Fireball.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Canoe.
- 39:45Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 1: But why are you keeping them?
- 39:47Speaker 5: I still have all my notes, too.
- 39:48Speaker 2: It's time to race.
- 39:49Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 39:51Speaker 1: That's weird to me, guys.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Well, for her, she's married. For me, it's fine. Fireball.
- 39:55Speaker 1: It's weird, Tanya.
- 39:56Speaker 5: I just never go through my notes. They're just in there.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I'm surprised you don't have your generic go-to.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Sorry, Tanya, but I'm not a generic.
- 40:08Speaker 1: He's not a generic. What's your sign? What's your love language?
- 40:11Speaker 2: What's your attachment style? You say you like a certain flower.
- 40:14Speaker 2: I remember that flower. See how much fun it could be?
- 40:21Speaker 2: But you aren't into this. You're not dating. You're with
- 40:24Speaker 2: your husband. But Bella is in college. She's got friends
- 40:27Speaker 2: going out on first dates, all of which are asking her,
- 40:29Speaker 2: what do you ask a guy? She's got a boyfriend.
- 40:32Speaker 10: I do.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Did you ask him these things on his first date?
- 40:35Speaker 10: I did ask one of them on the first date, yes.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Give me a list of like three or four on
- 40:40Speaker 2: your first date questions. And do you say to the guy, hey,
- 40:43Speaker 2: I got a... Couple template questions I need to run
- 40:46Speaker 2: by you.
- 40:47Speaker 10: No. Like screener questions?
- 40:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Do you say that or you just roll them whenever they're...
- 40:51Speaker 2: I just.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Roll with the punches.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Let's go. What do you got?
- 40:54Speaker 10: So my favorite is, what is something you admired about
- 40:56Speaker 10: your parents' relationship?
- 40:58Speaker 3: I love it.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Steve!
- 41:00Speaker 10: Another one?
- 41:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:02Speaker 2: I like that one. What is it you admire about yours?
- 41:04Speaker 10: I admire that my dad's very thoughtful with my mom.
- 41:07Speaker 10: Like he'll think to get her flowers when she's having
- 41:09Speaker 10: a bad day or he's always just trying to cheer
- 41:11Speaker 10: her up. So I think That's like something I try
- 41:13Speaker 10: to emulate in my own relationship.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Okay. That's a good one then. What's another first date
- 41:18Speaker 2: question that you always ask a guy?
- 41:19Speaker 10: This is a fun way to ask if they're introverted
- 41:22Speaker 10: or extroverted. Um, were you the student that the teacher
- 41:25Speaker 10: put next to the talkative kid or were you the
- 41:27Speaker 10: student that needed to be calmed down?
- 41:30Speaker 2: I don't know if I might be offended by that.
- 41:32Speaker 1: That one's like very heavy.
- 41:34Speaker 2: My answer is I have to be calmed down. I
- 41:38Speaker 2: would speak out of turn and I was sent out
- 41:40Speaker 2: of the room often. Oh, Is that good or bad?
- 41:42Speaker 1: How bad were you?
- 41:43Speaker 10: It just meant like you just talked a lot.
- 41:45Speaker 1: You were so funny. Were you ever sent out of
- 41:46Speaker 1: the room?
- 41:47Speaker 11: No.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I was never sent out of the room. Very chatty.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I got sent every once in a while down the hall.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Sit there, be quiet by myself in the hallway.
- 41:55Speaker 3: All right.
- 41:56Speaker 2: What's another one?
- 41:57Speaker 10: Another one would be if you could pick a theme
- 41:59Speaker 10: song for your life, what would it be?
- 42:01Speaker 2: Oh, that's too much pressure.
- 42:02Speaker 1: But that's kind of fun.
- 42:04Speaker 10: I would pick Love Fool.
- 42:06Speaker 2: The Cardigans song?
- 42:07Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:12Speaker 2: It's a great song. I don't know if I'd have it. Okay.
- 42:17Speaker 4: One more.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Do your friends ask you for these things and do
- 42:20Speaker 2: you give them to your friends?
- 42:21Speaker 10: No, actually the last question was on my USC application.
- 42:25Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 42:26Speaker 2: This is a first day question stolen from the Trojan app.
- 42:30Speaker 10: The last one would be, what does effort look like
- 42:33Speaker 10: to you in a relationship?
- 42:35Speaker 2: Thoughtfulness.
- 42:36Speaker 9: Toughness.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Right?
- 42:40Speaker 7: Right.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay. Take them down. Put them in your notes, Tanya.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Tanya, give me your notes and delete all your X's.
- 42:48Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I think the button to this to me is it's
- 42:52Speaker 2: okay to think through first date questions. It's all right.
- 42:55Speaker 2: You don't have to be embarrassed if they sound a
- 42:58Speaker 2: little already prepared. I'm down. And I also would not
- 43:03Speaker 2: say I ask every person the same thing. Maybe that's
- 43:05Speaker 2: what you shouldn't do if you go out with a
- 43:07Speaker 2: person again for the first time, Bella. I wouldn't say,
- 43:10Speaker 2: these are the questions I always ask a first date.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I would make them feel like they were specific for them.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Very true.
- 43:15Speaker 5: You can't say the wrong thing to the right guy,
- 43:18Speaker 5: you know?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Tanya, stop.
- 43:20Speaker 1: All right.
- 43:25Speaker 6: It's so good.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Yamaste. It's Kiss FM. Inside the free iHeartRadio app, we
- 43:29Speaker 2: got talkbacks. You can hit that red microphone and send
- 43:32Speaker 2: us something in a voice note. So here's one. We
- 43:35Speaker 2: get these all the time. This just came in. Jordan
- 43:37Speaker 2: had a family of opossums under her car, and Rebecca
- 43:41Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania was listening and wanted to tell us something.
- 43:43Speaker 9: We were talking about opossums, and the one young lady
- 43:48Speaker 9: mentioned that they are rodents, and they, however, are not.
- 43:52Speaker 1: They are very beneficial to the environment.
- 43:55Speaker 13: They eat ticks and they also can withstand rattlesnake bites.
- 44:00Speaker 13: So they provide anti-venom for people across the United States.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Are they marsupials? Mark?
- 44:12Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I don't know how to answer myself.
- 44:15Speaker 2: They're not rodents. Are they marsupials? They are marsupials, yes. Yeah, marsupials.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Marsupials taking care of the ticks. All right, here's Michelle
- 44:22Speaker 2: in Indiana. Talk back.
- 44:24Speaker 13: Hello, good morning, Ryan, Sisney, and Tanya in the back room.
- 44:28Speaker 13: I was just listening to the podcast from when you
- 44:30Speaker 13: were talking about Tanya screenshotting your story and saw some
- 44:35Speaker 13: acrylic nails.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I'm dead, okay? That just made my day.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Can you remind me what she saw?
- 44:42Speaker 5: So you posted an Instagram story. This was a couple
- 44:45Speaker 5: of weekends ago and you were eating something, but it
- 44:48Speaker 5: wasn't your hand that was feeding you. And I zoomed
- 44:51Speaker 5: in on the photo and I noticed it was an
- 44:52Speaker 5: acrylic nail.
- 44:53Speaker 2: So I told the person that you did and that
- 44:58Speaker 2: person's response was, who does that?
- 45:00Speaker 1: I would never, never notice that.
- 45:04Speaker 2: That was the point she was making. Who does that?
- 45:07Speaker 5: An amazing journalist on air talent.
- 45:10Speaker 1: It's in your blood.
- 45:12Speaker 2: We are not journalists. Let's be clear. I mentioned how
- 45:18Speaker 2: there are no rules for weddings. You want to get married?
- 45:21Speaker 2: Forget the rules. Forget convention. Do what you want to do.
- 45:24Speaker 2: You don't need the same number of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Whatever.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Whatever you want. I use the example also in this
- 45:30Speaker 2: moment of pickle lemonade at the Renaissance Fair. You may recall,
- 45:36Speaker 2: Anthony in Illinois had a thought about that.
- 45:38Speaker 4: So my wife, Lydia, and I, for our wedding, we
- 45:41Speaker 4: decided to do breakfast for dinner, and everybody loved it.
- 45:45Speaker 4: Even the DJ, he said he'd done thousands of weddings,
- 45:48Speaker 4: and he never had breakfast for dinner. So yeah, pickle lemonade.
- 45:52Speaker 8: It's your wedding.
- 45:53Speaker 3: You do you.
- 45:54Speaker 2: That was my point.
- 45:54Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Make opposites come together. Do what you want to do.
- 45:57Speaker 2: You do not need to serve chicken or steak or whatever.
- 46:00Speaker 2: What do you serve at your wedding, Cisney?
- 46:04Speaker 1: It was like a chicken situation.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 46:06Speaker 1: It was a couple options. It was literally that, chicken
- 46:09Speaker 1: or steak.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I'd rather have a Belgium waffle station than bacon.
- 46:12Speaker 1: That sounds so fun.
- 46:13Speaker 6: But I did serve late night bacon-wrapped hot dogs and
- 46:16Speaker 6: french fries.
- 46:17Speaker 2: But why do that late? Do that for the main event.
- 46:19Speaker 6: No, that was like four hours after everybody ate.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Yeah, and you're like drunk.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Why not have that first?
- 46:23Speaker 1: Because now you're drunk and you want a french fry and.
- 46:26Speaker 2: A hot dog. No, I want that first.
- 46:27Speaker 1: If you remarried... This was 13 years ago.
- 46:29Speaker 2: If you re-knew... And invite us. That's what you should do.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I want to do breakfast for dinner. Yeah, that's cool.
- 46:35Speaker 2: When I get married, you wait until you see what
- 46:37Speaker 2: we serve. Oh.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Everyone gets a can of sardines.
- 46:41Speaker 2: When I get married. Friends, that's going to do it
- 46:44Speaker 2: for us. Thanks for being here. Tomorrow, we're back on it.
- 46:47Speaker 2: If you missed anything, it's up on our On Air
- 46:48Speaker 2: with Ryan Seacrest podcast. I mean, iHeartRadio. Have a good one.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Sisney's got you for another hour. That's right.
