Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Reality TV Cringe. I am one
- 0:14Speaker 1: of your hosts, Delia here with my real tight homegirl
- 0:17Speaker 1: and my daughter in little bed. Hi. We are here
- 0:22Speaker 1: to talk about Sister Wives Season nineteen, episode eleven.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Or we almost done.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We are not almost done. I think we have a
- 0:30Speaker 1: long ride still to go, So girder loins my darling.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Before we get into it, though, we do want to
- 0:37Speaker 1: remind you to please hi'd your wife and hid your kids.
- 0:41Speaker 1: This is a politically incorrect podcast. We say a lot
- 0:45Speaker 1: of bad words, especially beatreus, huh, foul now every other word,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and we have stupid opinions and we're not going to
- 0:54Speaker 1: apologize about it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Wow. So if you're a thought for the get out
- 1:00Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: What a find yourself little dumpster. Bye. But if you
- 1:08Speaker 1: want to follow us as we follow Cody, Mary and
- 1:11Speaker 1: Nate to Paol on Utah, welcome to this dumpster.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and if you like what we do over here,
- 1:17Speaker 2: be sure to follow us on Instagram at reality tv

- 1:23Speaker 2: Reality TV Cringe. That's where the real party is at.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yes, we have so much fun there,
- 1:28Speaker 1: so please join us. If you are watching on YouTube, hello,
- 1:33Speaker 1: lovely to see you. Please do not forget, truly, please please,
- 1:38Speaker 1: we want to beg you to like and comment and
- 1:42Speaker 1: share and subscribe, because truly, every single thing you do
- 1:46Speaker 1: helps us to grow in the algorithm and more raccoons
- 1:50Speaker 1: find the dumpster. Yeah, so thank you in advance. Thank you. Now,
- 1:55Speaker 1: before we get into all the things, I do have
- 1:57Speaker 1: to issue a correction. Oh, because we had some forensic
- 2:03Speaker 1: monocled raccoons in the chat of the speak pipe video
- 2:09Speaker 1: from last week, in which I like a rabbit and
- 2:13Speaker 1: crazy raccoon, which, by the way, I am.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you cannot trust anything that I say.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm nuts. Ye was going off about Christine leaving Cody
- 2:21Speaker 1: and then within three months meeting David and falling in love.
- 2:26Speaker 1: And I was getting all nuts about that while I
- 2:29Speaker 1: was wrong. Oh were you yes, Because apparently Christine left
- 2:34Speaker 1: Cody in I think September of twenty twenty one and
- 2:37Speaker 1: did not meet David until the following year, I think
- 2:40Speaker 1: the fall of twenty twenty two or the winter of
- 2:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. Yeah, it was like a whole fucking
- 2:45Speaker 1: year after that. What. Yeah, And so I said that
- 2:48Speaker 1: wrong and I was wrong, and so I do want
- 2:50Speaker 1: to correct that, but then I want to completely justify
- 2:52Speaker 1: it and not take any accountability like Cody Brett. No,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I'm joking, but I mean it's because the timelines as
- 3:01Speaker 1: they are presented on this show are so inherently confusing, yeah,
- 3:06Speaker 1: that I honestly can't keep it straight. Because in my
- 3:08Speaker 1: little feeble raccoon brain, I literally thought that it was
- 3:12Speaker 1: only three months after she left in twenty twenty one
- 3:15Speaker 1: that she meant that she met David, And then I
- 3:18Speaker 1: was thinking, did she leave in twenty twenty two? I
- 3:20Speaker 1: don't know, Because they're showing us shit from twenty twenty
- 3:23Speaker 1: two and twenty twenty four. It's really hard for being
- 3:25Speaker 1: to keep by me.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I feel like we've had multiple corrections on the timeline
- 3:32Speaker 2: this season because it's been so chopped up. But it's like,
- 3:35Speaker 2: come on, Even in this episode, we're seeing interstitials from
- 3:38Speaker 2: probably twenty twenty four, Oh yeah, reacting to footage from
- 3:41Speaker 2: twenty twenty two or twenty twenty three or whatever. I
- 3:44Speaker 2: don't even know what year it.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Is anymore either. I'm confused.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I don't understand, and how do we know it's been
- 3:50Speaker 2: a year since she left Cody at this point.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't know. And she's fucking with that timeline too.
- 3:55Speaker 1: She's like, it was just a month ago, and I'm like,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I thought it was. I thought it was January, and
- 3:59Speaker 1: I thought you left in your anniversary And I don't.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't. I can't either. It's confusing to me. All
- 4:07Speaker 1: I think I was really complaining about was Christine's propensity
- 4:11Speaker 1: to rush into things, yes, and have all of this
- 4:13Speaker 1: exuberance and rushing this relationship with David, which is still true,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and not taking enough time to deal with her psychology
- 4:21Speaker 1: and all of her trauma, which I think is also
- 4:24Speaker 1: still true for sure. But I did get that wrong,
- 4:27Speaker 1: And so I just want to admit, all right, Okay,
- 4:29Speaker 1: thank you, accountability, You're welcome, You're what. It's probably gonna
- 4:34Speaker 1: happen again, because this is how they produce the show.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, don't fucking blame it. We're in a dumpster.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean really, it's crappy in here, A lot
- 4:43Speaker 1: of traad. I can't see clearly. I don't know where
- 4:46Speaker 1: I am. I just know it stinks and I love it. Yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 1: what are you gonna do?
- 4:51Speaker 2: What are you gonna do about it?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Anyway? But thanks for the correction, and you guys were
- 4:53Speaker 1: so respectful and nice, because sometimes I'm gonna get it wrong,
- 4:56Speaker 1: primarily me.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, same though.
- 4:58Speaker 1: The other thing I wanted to say was Happy Thanksgiving.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Thanksgiving for those of you that are in the United States,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and if you celebrate, we just want to say that
- 5:10Speaker 1: we are very, very thankful for you, if you're listening
- 5:13Speaker 1: or if you're watching, we just truly I get such
- 5:17Speaker 1: a kick out of doing this podcast. Me too, and
- 5:19Speaker 1: we have a lot of fun just meeting together and
- 5:22Speaker 1: just going crazy screaming into the night. And it means
- 5:25Speaker 1: a lot to us that you are here with us,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and so thank you for that. And we hope you
- 5:30Speaker 1: have a wonderful holiday. I hope you get very fat,
- 5:35Speaker 1: fatter than you already are, because if you're a raccoon
- 5:37Speaker 1: and you're in this dumpster, you're already fat. We're gonna
- 5:40Speaker 1: get fat. Girl. Oh I know we are so fat.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Oh I can't wait that pe camp. It's going to
- 5:46Speaker 1: be good. And the last thing we wanted to talk about,
- 5:49Speaker 1: which will make sense only for our patrons and those
- 5:52Speaker 1: who listen on audio, concerns Mary Brown and her Worthy
- 5:58Speaker 1: up endeavor because because we talked about this last week,
- 6:02Speaker 1: but if you're on YouTube, you don't know this. Mary
- 6:06Speaker 1: Brown issued a video in which she was talking about
- 6:09Speaker 1: the story of her life and she was kind of
- 6:12Speaker 1: dangling this carrot of telling that story, but you have
- 6:16Speaker 1: to be a part of her community, and the story
- 6:20Speaker 1: isn't finished yet, and so I kind of raged about
- 6:23Speaker 1: that because it feels like such a grift to me.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Can I know that Mary has her advocates in the
- 6:30Speaker 1: chat you think she's doing something great, and I hope
- 6:33Speaker 1: that she ultimately does. But apparently apparently we've got some
- 6:38Speaker 1: people who know some people who are part of this
- 6:41Speaker 1: worthy Up program, because we asked in that episode, like
- 6:46Speaker 1: what's going on in there? Like is Mary bringing up
- 6:50Speaker 1: mentors or experts or speaking about things? Is she doing
- 6:54Speaker 1: live streams? Are you guys being given books and resources
- 6:57Speaker 1: to help you to worry up? Like what's happening in
- 6:59Speaker 1: this And then we received this information that we wanted
- 7:04Speaker 1: to share with you about what is currently going on
- 7:06Speaker 1: with worthy Up.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yes, we had a patron, Marie comment on our last
- 7:10Speaker 2: episode and she said Amy Archer from a Little Miss
- 7:13Speaker 2: Recap is part of the worthy up community and puts
- 7:17Speaker 2: updates on her Patreon. Apparently it's terrible and nothing happens.
- 7:22Speaker 2: There are only a handful of members, and again nothing happens.
- 7:26Speaker 2: She said. Also Caitlin from shit Talk podcast is also
- 7:29Speaker 2: a member and she's updated as well, but like there's
- 7:32Speaker 2: literally nothing. It's literally just a Facebook group and they
- 7:36Speaker 2: have like she posts like videos every now and then,
- 7:38Speaker 2: but there's nothing like of substance. It's not like a
- 7:40Speaker 2: Tony Robbins type of a thing where there's like actual
- 7:43Speaker 2: like hered advice or.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We're moving through a program trying to reach a goal. Yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and I also heard there's just not a lot of people.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And you said there's not a lot of people, but
- 7:52Speaker 1: somebody said it was just like ten to fifteen people,
- 7:55Speaker 1: not a lot of people that are part of the
- 7:58Speaker 1: worthy up stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 2: What is the close net circle?
- 8:01Speaker 1: And I did notice somebody comment and say that they
- 8:05Speaker 1: heard Jen and Mary speaking about all of the things
- 8:09Speaker 1: that they were planning to do with worthy up and
- 8:12Speaker 1: that it sounded really profound and important. And that's great.
- 8:17Speaker 1: But I think she's already taking money from people, because
- 8:20Speaker 1: we talked about her launching worthy of months ago, and
- 8:24Speaker 1: so if you're already taking money from people.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Like for what you should already have that content, yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 2: bulk recorded and produced so that way you can just
- 8:34Speaker 2: release it and then you release new stuff. Like that's
- 8:37Speaker 2: how you run a true drift, right, it's smart, just
- 8:43Speaker 2: like instead of just recording it like whenever you want
- 8:46Speaker 2: and it's just like nothing of substance. And again, like,
- 8:49Speaker 2: if you're gonna be like a Tony Robbins type of
- 8:51Speaker 2: a person and like give people like actual life changing
- 8:54Speaker 2: advice that actually helps them, then I'm all for it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I think that's fantastic. But I don't believe it from
- 9:00Speaker 2: Mary Brown, right, I don't believe it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And certainly what we're getting from her episodes isn't
- 9:10Speaker 1: giving me that a vote of confidence that she actually
- 9:14Speaker 1: has what it takes to steer anybody into sort of
- 9:17Speaker 1: a healthy relationship with themselves, no or with others. Like
- 9:21Speaker 1: I feel like there's just I don't know, I'm needing
- 9:24Speaker 1: to see more growth. But then again, if people are
- 9:26Speaker 1: excited about it, and if people are just happy to
- 9:29Speaker 1: have the opportunity to be in a space that they
- 9:31Speaker 1: get to share with Jen and Mary, I think that's fabulous.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And if you're enjoying yourself, that's great. I just I'm
- 9:37Speaker 1: like a little worried because I feel like, if you're
- 9:39Speaker 1: involved in Lula Row and of course we have the
- 9:41Speaker 1: other wives involved in Plexus and they used to be
- 9:43Speaker 1: involved in some other emblem. If that's your mindset, if
- 9:47Speaker 1: that's always the way you're thinking about people and taking
- 9:49Speaker 1: their money, well then that's fucking problematic. And I'm wondering
- 9:52Speaker 1: what happened to disrupt that mindset? If all of a
- 9:55Speaker 1: sudden Worthy Of It is this fantastic program where you're
- 9:57Speaker 1: going to give all of this fantastic information and help people,
- 10:00Speaker 1: Like what happened to change your mindset from the LULAO
- 10:03Speaker 1: and the other MLM drifting that you that you did
- 10:06Speaker 1: to change it exact to make this something different than that?
- 10:09Speaker 1: Exactly A little worried about it.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I really highly doubt it's anything important. I feel
- 10:16Speaker 2: like nobody's really going to change their life from Worthy
- 10:18Speaker 2: Of and that's unfortunate because it's a good premise and
- 10:21Speaker 2: like some people have commented on our YouTube saying like
- 10:24Speaker 2: this could be like a really cool thing, and some
- 10:26Speaker 2: people have defended Mary on our YouTube being like no,
- 10:29Speaker 2: like it's actually a really good community because she's helping
- 10:32Speaker 2: people from fundamentalists whatever. And I'm like, yeah, that's cool
- 10:36Speaker 2: in theory, but like in practice, is it actually worth it?
- 10:41Speaker 1: And I think it's fair to ask, well, how how
- 10:43Speaker 1: is she helping? And also did somebody actually say that
- 10:46Speaker 1: she's helping people with from fundamentalist religion.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw some comments on there being like, yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 2: she's helping people, And I'm like, are you speculating?
- 10:54Speaker 1: But I mean, isn't she's still involved? I mean at
- 10:56Speaker 1: the very least as an LDS. But but I mean
- 10:59Speaker 1: she sought or release from the aub fundamentalist Mormonism, So
- 11:03Speaker 1: isn't she still involved in the religion. I don't know.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Maybe I should pay for a membership on it. Maybe
- 11:08Speaker 1: still I can get in there. And I will just
- 11:10Speaker 1: say I will divulge that I actually ran programs that
- 11:14Speaker 1: were fairly extensive. They were online. I had Facebook communities,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and we had specific curriculums. We created a lot of content,
- 11:23Speaker 1: and I was always thinking about like how much value
- 11:25Speaker 1: I can bring to somebody and give them as much
- 11:28Speaker 1: as possible, give them way more than whatever it is
- 11:30Speaker 1: they paid for it in order to receive it. And
- 11:32Speaker 1: so that's why I'm kind of looking at it with
- 11:35Speaker 1: a certain kind of eye because I've done it before
- 11:37Speaker 1: and I've been very successful, and I'm like, Mary, what
- 11:39Speaker 1: are you doing? What are you doing? Mary? Don't just
- 11:42Speaker 1: take people's money, like give them something of extreme value.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Well, and that's the difference between you and Mary Brown.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You had years of therapy and you were helping people,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and like you actually changed people's lives. It's Mary Brown.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Though I'm not saying that I'm better. I'm I'm just
- 11:58Speaker 1: concerned based on her path behavior.
- 12:01Speaker 2: And the past grifts exactly. And I mean, if you're
- 12:03Speaker 2: like not actually worthing up yourself, then what are you doing?
- 12:06Speaker 2: What are you preaching about?
- 12:08Speaker 1: I mean, imagine though, if you have a million viewers
- 12:11Speaker 1: of Sister Wives each week and only fifteen joined up
- 12:15Speaker 1: worthy As I understand it, I think Janelle's sold out
- 12:18Speaker 1: of all of her shirts. Yes she did, from Janelle
- 12:21Speaker 1: says dot com. Yeah, but I mean fifteen people. That's
- 12:24Speaker 1: like when that's like when Zuckerberg launched the Metaverse, Yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and like only twenty people, like to the billion eight
- 12:31Speaker 1: people that follows his platforms and have accounts on Facebook,
- 12:35Speaker 1: like only twenty people actually showed up over It feels
- 12:39Speaker 1: the same.
- 12:40Speaker 2: But I mean, Mary Brown is charging like a crazy
- 12:42Speaker 2: amount of money, and it's like even with her retreats,
- 12:44Speaker 2: like those six thousand dollars retreats, it's like that's literally insane,
- 12:49Speaker 2: Like you're not that fucking famous. I'm sorry.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Well, I mean she is because people paid for it,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and I mean they're there, they're doing it.
- 12:55Speaker 2: She had like five spots though for it. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: if you're charging.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Six thousand dollars four to six thousand dollars for those spots,
- 13:01Speaker 1: then I mean you're still making money. That's so crazy.
- 13:04Speaker 1: One thing you can say about Mary is she's got
- 13:06Speaker 1: a mind for money, and she's able to take this
- 13:08Speaker 1: money from people. Just give something of value in return.
- 13:11Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say. I'm gonna leave it at that.
- 13:13Speaker 1: All right, Okay, let's get into this week's episode again,
- 13:19Speaker 1: Season nineteen, episode eleven, entitled The Eleventh Hour. Yes, the
- 13:23Speaker 1: eleventh Hour.
- 13:24Speaker 2: You actually got it this, I did.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Because I have the eleven of the episode. Yeah, that's
- 13:27Speaker 1: how I figured it out.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Okay, Well, we start this episode with Christine and David
- 13:33Speaker 2: because Christine has to announce to the entire family, all
- 13:36Speaker 2: the kids that they just got engaged last week. Two
- 13:39Speaker 2: days ago or whatever the timeline is, and Peyden calls
- 13:43Speaker 2: her very theatrical and aka dramatic, and she's got to
- 13:49Speaker 2: show everybody this video on the big screen to be like,
- 13:53Speaker 2: like my horror, guysh look at my ring seriously.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Wow, it was right, And I thought it was cool
- 14:04Speaker 1: to see David with his kids there. Oh yeah, And
- 14:08Speaker 1: Christine does talk about how everybody's kind of syncing up
- 14:11Speaker 1: in a really beautiful way. Of course we have Machelti
- 14:15Speaker 1: there asking if the ring is even real and talking
- 14:18Speaker 1: about how she's not an adult, and again just every
- 14:21Speaker 1: single opportunity she can take to say something or be
- 14:24Speaker 1: the center of attention, she's got to do it, which
- 14:26Speaker 1: is as annoying as Christine is at the same time.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And also Payden is a bit theatrical and dramatic, like
- 14:33Speaker 1: she's still all are Christine had and Gwen, I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 1: other than Aspen and Isabelle, all of her kids are
- 14:38Speaker 1: like that.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yep. And Christine also talks about how she told Isabelle
- 14:43Speaker 2: before everybody else because she knew she was going to
- 14:45Speaker 2: struggle the most. But then again says, like she's been
- 14:48Speaker 2: saying every single week, every week, I don't care, because
- 14:51Speaker 2: we're going to do what we want to do and
- 14:53Speaker 2: it's our life, not theirs.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I was watching Our Girl at Red Lipstick Reality, and
- 15:01Speaker 1: she was just commenting on how it was interesting because
- 15:04Speaker 1: what we're seeing Christine say in her talking heads is
- 15:09Speaker 1: her commenting retroactively about something that happened a year or
- 15:13Speaker 1: even two years ago, and yet she's standing like ten
- 15:16Speaker 1: toes down in the present day, current day, saying I
- 15:20Speaker 1: still don't care. Like it's one thing to be in
- 15:24Speaker 1: the honeymoon period and you're just all caught up, you're
- 15:27Speaker 1: super sprung, but then that starts to wear off and
- 15:31Speaker 1: you come back down to reality and you start to
- 15:33Speaker 1: live your life and pay your bills and deal with
- 15:35Speaker 1: your kids, which you would think has happened by now,
- 15:39Speaker 1: But no, Christine is still saying the same thing every
- 15:42Speaker 1: week about not giving a shit what her kids think.
- 15:45Speaker 2: That's a really, really good point. So she's still saying
- 15:48Speaker 2: that to all of these kids.
- 15:49Speaker 1: She still feels that.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yeah, she's still feeling that, And I wonder if maybe
- 15:53Speaker 2: that's like the reason why Gwen's not really close with
- 15:55Speaker 2: her mom. I mean, I think we've probably talked about
- 15:58Speaker 2: that a couple episodes ago. But like, if that's what
- 16:01Speaker 2: she's still saying now and our current year over law
- 16:03Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, like that's crazy.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Imagine what she was saying back then to their face
- 16:09Speaker 1: when they attempted to bring it up. And another thing
- 16:12Speaker 1: Red Lipstick Television or reality TV said, I know, I
- 16:16Speaker 1: always mixed that up in my head. Yeah, I was
- 16:17Speaker 1: just talking about how her kids are probably not telling
- 16:22Speaker 1: her exactly how they feel because they've been told endlessly
- 16:25Speaker 1: that she doesn't give a shit what their opinion is.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And so she's saying that her kids are okay with
- 16:30Speaker 1: it and everybody's sinking up. But are they because they
- 16:33Speaker 1: can't actually come to and communicate their feelings. And even
- 16:37Speaker 1: beyond that, they're probably primarily concerned about truly, right because
- 16:42Speaker 1: they've grown up with you, and they've been parentified by you,
- 16:45Speaker 1: especially Aspen obviously, and they've had to carry a lot
- 16:50Speaker 1: of your emotional labor as your marriage fell apart, and
- 16:52Speaker 1: we all know you were talking about Cody and they
- 16:54Speaker 1: were seeing shit firsthand exactly, So they are rightly so
- 16:58Speaker 1: concerned about truly who you don't seem to really be
- 17:02Speaker 1: thinking about.
- 17:03Speaker 2: No, she's not thinking about anybody else except David and
- 17:05Speaker 2: his sweet sweet Diacon. Oh my, that's literally all she
- 17:08Speaker 2: cares about. Yeah, and again, like we've said, like I'm
- 17:11Speaker 2: glad you're happy, but like, holy shit, that's so annoying.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Every single week, every single week, she's got to say
- 17:18Speaker 2: something like that, I just don't care. It's our life,
- 17:21Speaker 2: not anybody.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I feel like we're repeating ourselves about it. But the
- 17:24Speaker 1: fact is she repeats it every single week, every single week.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I mean, you're gonna have to address it exactly again.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I'm sure we're gonna hear about it next week when
- 17:31Speaker 2: she's going wedding dress shopping. I'm gonna pick the dress
- 17:33Speaker 2: that I want because I don't care if you guys
- 17:35Speaker 2: don't want to see my body, yadda yadi.
- 17:37Speaker 1: But I'm gonna bring you all. We're gonna still film
- 17:39Speaker 1: a scene. Look, the thing that I thought was great
- 17:43Speaker 1: in the scene was hearing from Aspen who said that
- 17:47Speaker 1: she never realized how unhappy her mother was with Cody
- 17:50Speaker 1: until she saw how happy she is with David, right,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and like realizing, wow, this is kind of what my
- 17:58Speaker 1: mom has been through, and so seeing her this way
- 18:02Speaker 1: actually does give me. I'm obviously paraphrase that extrapolny. But
- 18:06Speaker 1: it does give me a sense of peace, Like I
- 18:07Speaker 1: feel like she feels safe and secure, which Janelle also says,
- 18:10Speaker 1: So I'm happy for her. Yeah, but it's not like
- 18:13Speaker 1: she could actually take any concern that she has to
- 18:16Speaker 1: Christine because Christine's not listening exactly.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the problem. Yes, so congrats on your engagement, Christine.
- 18:23Speaker 2: But moving on, Yeah to the best part of the episode,
- 18:26Speaker 2: which was Mary moving. But it was like so long,
- 18:29Speaker 2: It was so many.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Movies, I mean, yes and no.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but Nate is there, Nate, Nate got to.
- 18:38Speaker 1: See Nate again. Seeing him one time is too many
- 18:42Speaker 1: and like this is the third time I've seen Nate.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Go away the fuck off of my television.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Nate. I hope nobody's paying him because like he's probably
- 18:50Speaker 2: getting a check. He's probably getting like a little five
- 18:52Speaker 2: hundred dollars checky pooh. Is why he keeps on showing
- 18:55Speaker 2: up to take all of her use furniture.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Saw him spy in that bed. Yes, I'm not taking this, said,
- 19:01Speaker 1: I want it's for everything in this house.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Please give me all of your furniture.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So Nate's there with Cody. They're helping Mary load up
- 19:11Speaker 2: the truck with all of her bullshit, and then Cody's
- 19:14Speaker 2: gonna drive it up to Parowan because he's such a
- 19:16Speaker 2: good ex husband. Sure, because he cares so much. But
- 19:20Speaker 2: what did you think about all this? Because it was
- 19:21Speaker 2: kind of interesting?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Well, I mean, there were so many things that happened
- 19:25Speaker 1: in this scene that we will get to, but like, primarily,
- 19:28Speaker 1: let's start with Mary is a woman of means. She
- 19:33Speaker 1: makes a lot of money selling LULAO. She makes a
- 19:37Speaker 1: lot of money from TLC. Is there a reason we're
- 19:41Speaker 1: not hiring movers, having like a crew come in and
- 19:44Speaker 1: what are we doing? Box everything up and take Why
- 19:47Speaker 1: are we needing Robin who doesn't even show up? And
- 19:50Speaker 1: Cody and Nate? Why do we need these people chuckleheads
- 19:56Speaker 1: losers to come into your house and pack you up
- 20:00Speaker 1: other than to just film a scene? Is that what
- 20:02Speaker 1: we're doing? We're just creating content. We're just doing it
- 20:05Speaker 1: because production is telling us to.
- 20:07Speaker 2: It's got to be producing content. I mean, like you
- 20:11Speaker 2: could have just hired movers and then had Cody talk
- 20:14Speaker 2: to you or something and say goodbye as you left,
- 20:16Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like that could have been
- 20:18Speaker 2: the content, Like why are you doing it yourself. I
- 20:20Speaker 2: hire movers. I don't want to fucking do that shit
- 20:22Speaker 2: by myself. Nobody does, absolutely not, So yeah, that was
- 20:25Speaker 2: super weird. And then when they're loading all of the
- 20:28Speaker 2: bullshit into the truck, Nate conveniently like pushes Mary into
- 20:32Speaker 2: Cody and backs her little ass up and up into Cody,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and she's like, oh, what, Like, you know, she was
- 20:38Speaker 2: a little like feeling a little something.
- 20:40Speaker 1: You think so, and she got a little tingled down
- 20:43Speaker 1: feeling his little pencil for the first.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Time in ten years.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, She's like, oh, I forgot what that little thing
- 20:49Speaker 1: feels like pressed up against me. That was so awkward,
- 20:54Speaker 1: It was so crazy. I just didn't understand any of it.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Before I even comment on that, it just felt like Cody,
- 21:00Speaker 1: throughout this entire scene was really looking at this as
- 21:04Speaker 1: an opportunity to rehab his image and to appear more
- 21:08Speaker 1: positive and supportive of Mary, Whereas you know, for the
- 21:12Speaker 1: past seven seasons or whatever, he's just been straight dog
- 21:16Speaker 1: and Mary treating her like a dog, and so like,
- 21:19Speaker 1: this is his last ditch effort to try and present
- 21:22Speaker 1: himself as a team player and like willing to get
- 21:24Speaker 1: along with Mary. And it was like so disingenuous and
- 21:27Speaker 1: fake to me. And so then when that happened, I
- 21:31Speaker 1: was like, first of all, it's not that funny, Mary,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I don't know why you're almost peeing your pants. I
- 21:37Speaker 1: don't know why you're laughing for minutes upon minutes after
- 21:42Speaker 1: this happens. It's not a big deal. I don't understand
- 21:45Speaker 1: the humor there. And then for Cody to tell the
- 21:48Speaker 1: camera like, oh my god, it was so funny but
- 21:50Speaker 1: at the same time so wrong, so deeply wrong, because
- 21:54Speaker 1: Robin is my one and only. She's my breakdancing Diesel
- 21:58Speaker 1: Jean wearing bad Yeah, and if she knew that I
- 22:02Speaker 1: was receiving all that ass right up on my pencil dick,
- 22:06Speaker 1: she would be a little bit but hurt about that.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And so that's wrong, and I feel bad about that
- 22:11Speaker 1: because my relationship is sacra.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That was so weird and just like a tell that.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Obviously Robin was mad about this scene, Like Cody probably
- 22:20Speaker 2: told Robin about this scene later on, and she was pissed.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I think it like was probably a point of contention,
- 22:26Speaker 2: and that's why Cody has to double down on TV
- 22:28Speaker 2: and be like, yeah, I was laughing about it in
- 22:30Speaker 2: the moment, but it's actually not very funny at all
- 22:33Speaker 2: because it's sexual in nature, and like me and Robin
- 22:36Speaker 2: really hold sex very sacred because we just have sex
- 22:40Speaker 2: with only each other, and how over the last ten
- 22:42Speaker 2: years were monogamous.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's like he's I don't think of that, But that
- 22:46Speaker 1: makes so much sense because in the moment he's laughing,
- 22:49Speaker 1: he's trying to have fun with it, but then on
- 22:51Speaker 1: the couch she's trying to do damage control because Robin
- 22:55Speaker 1: was good about it, Big old Robin. Yeah, she's just like,
- 22:58Speaker 1: she's got that hammer, honey, she's unhappy, and so he's
- 23:02Speaker 1: he's trying to appease her.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's probably like, why were you laughing about it?
- 23:06Speaker 2: It's actually not very fun.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Do you like when her ass touched her little?
- 23:09Speaker 2: You like that?
- 23:10Speaker 1: So I guess you liked it.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Then I thought you didn't like it. That's why you
- 23:15Speaker 2: didn't have sex with her vertin.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Years, Right, I can totally say that, That's what I'm thinking.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I also thought it was really weird that this was
- 23:24Speaker 1: happening on Cody and Mary's anniversary, and we have Mary
- 23:29Speaker 1: saying like, I totally didn't plan it, But I'm like,
- 23:31Speaker 1: how are you not planning it?
- 23:34Speaker 2: She planned it.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It feels like it was planned. It was wearing that
- 23:37Speaker 1: plan shirt about Karma. Yeah, I just feel like you're subtweeting. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 1: there's a lot of subtext that's happening right here, and
- 23:45Speaker 1: she's trying to do like little passive digs and I
- 23:47Speaker 1: think Cody's just too stupid to realize it.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Oh he's so dumb. But also, I mean, she wore
- 23:52Speaker 2: that shirt. I think Nate commented about it, and then
- 23:55Speaker 2: Cody kind of laughed it off like he knew, like
- 23:58Speaker 2: that's kind of how Mary is. And last he's talking
- 24:00Speaker 2: about how she's passive and also aggressive and he can
- 24:05Speaker 2: never tell which one it is, and that's just Mary
- 24:09Speaker 2: and it's kind of annoying but also kind of great,
- 24:12Speaker 2: Like I like that she's a little passive aggressive like
- 24:15Speaker 2: that because I'm a petty bitch. I like a little pettiness,
- 24:18Speaker 2: but I'm like, give me more. Yeah, stop laughing.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Be direct, be aggressive aggressive, right, be full on aggressive,
- 24:25Speaker 1: Go after your grass knuckles and put that asshole in
- 24:28Speaker 1: the dart bit show is something that's what we need
- 24:32Speaker 1: anytime there's like anything emotional happening where she's being called
- 24:36Speaker 1: to be vulnerable in any way. She's so uncomfortable up
- 24:40Speaker 1: walls up, this is unsafe, she can't do it, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: so I think her protective measure is all of this
- 24:47Speaker 1: laughing that she's doing, which is really uncomfortable and very
- 24:50Speaker 1: immature insecure. And I'm like, you didn't have to do
- 24:53Speaker 1: any of this. You could have hired those movers.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yep.
- 24:56Speaker 1: You could have just sent a text and said Okay,
- 24:58Speaker 1: peace out, dummies and left for Parowan. Why are you
- 25:03Speaker 1: doing this to yourself? And now Cody's got to drive
- 25:05Speaker 1: you from Flag to Parowan and then he's gonna unload him.
- 25:09Speaker 1: And why are you dragging this out?
- 25:12Speaker 2: It's super weird, But maybe it was influenced by TLC.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Maybe TLC is like, you know, it would be really
- 25:18Speaker 2: awesome if you guys moved together and then you guys
- 25:22Speaker 2: can have a really sweet moment, so that way Cody
- 25:24Speaker 2: can rehab his image even further. It'd be great, great
- 25:27Speaker 2: TV riveting. Uh huh, it's not.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. So last week, when
- 25:33Speaker 1: Mary goes to tell Cody and Robin and their vampire
- 25:38Speaker 1: children vampire children Translucent, that she's leaving, does she ask
- 25:44Speaker 1: if they will help her to move. I know she
- 25:46Speaker 1: asks Cody to drive the truck, but I thought that
- 25:50Speaker 1: she's asking them to help her pack and help help
- 25:52Speaker 1: her move.
- 25:53Speaker 2: She did, but it wasn't really like asking. It was like,
- 25:55Speaker 2: can I get your help? Can you please help me?
- 25:58Speaker 1: Okay? So that's what I think. And I thought she
- 26:01Speaker 1: was not just asking Cody, that she was asking them
- 26:03Speaker 1: as a family. And so seeing that Aurora's not there,
- 26:08Speaker 1: Brianna Dayton are not there, little vampire kids aren't there,
- 26:11Speaker 1: or Robin Robin doesn't even show up to help, that's
- 26:14Speaker 1: how you know, Mary that this bitch is not your friend.
- 26:19Speaker 1: She never was your friend. Christine is absolutely right. She's
- 26:22Speaker 1: been manipulating you for a very long time, and you
- 26:25Speaker 1: allowed yourself to be manipulated. The only time she shows
- 26:28Speaker 1: up is to give you some stupid gift and to
- 26:32Speaker 1: put on her performance for the cameras.
- 26:34Speaker 2: It was reridiculous when she shows up in that big
- 26:38Speaker 2: ass fucking SUV car, which I'm like, how many cars
- 26:41Speaker 2: do you and Cody have?
- 26:42Speaker 1: I have many cars?
- 26:43Speaker 2: This is fucking ridiculounded by the LLC, which I also
- 26:46Speaker 2: will get to, and then the fucking manchion. I just
- 26:49Speaker 2: know that's so enraging. She comes in with ballet flats
- 26:53Speaker 2: and jeans like she's not even like ready to work, get.
- 26:56Speaker 1: It, she's not even good because that's the only and
- 27:00Speaker 1: it was so skinny, shy and beautiful and skinny.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It's so ridiculous. And she shows up and she's like, yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 2: I really wanted to help, but like every fiber of
- 27:10Speaker 2: my entire being told me not to because I'm sad.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It's because I'm sad, It's because I would be so heartbroken,
- 27:17Speaker 1: like because I didn't want to consolable. Yeah, because Mary's leaving.
- 27:21Speaker 1: But back to me, no, I'm just sore broke now
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm feeling. And so Mary and Nate and Cody are
- 27:29Speaker 1: in the truck. They're laughing, they're very jovial, they're having
- 27:33Speaker 1: a seemingly like a good time. Here comes sour faced
- 27:37Speaker 1: storm cloud, Robin frown.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Shine pretty right.
- 27:41Speaker 1: So she gets up into the truck and all of
- 27:43Speaker 1: a sudden, the mood, the vibe, yeah, bab Jack, fat
- 27:46Speaker 1: Jack is totally negative, like a Paul has has lowered
- 27:50Speaker 1: over the entire scene, Like she is a drag, she
- 27:55Speaker 1: is a buzzkill, she is a bummer.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Uh huh, And she wants it to be like that.
- 28:00Speaker 2: She wants everybody to be sad in Dower, even though
- 28:03Speaker 2: everyone's laughing and having fun. But nobody can have fun
- 28:06Speaker 2: when Robin Brown's around. So she's gotta pull Mary away
- 28:09Speaker 2: from what she's doing, pull her away from her move,
- 28:12Speaker 2: which I'm like, bitch, I gotta load this up and go.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I gotta go.
- 28:15Speaker 2: I don't want to fucking talk to your ass. I
- 28:17Speaker 2: haven't even seen you in probably six months, and.
- 28:19Speaker 1: We gotta do this on camera. Seriously, you couldn't have
- 28:21Speaker 1: called me, texted me. We couldn't have gone out to
- 28:23Speaker 1: coffee or get a martini. You had to do it
- 28:24Speaker 1: on camera though, right.
- 28:25Speaker 2: We could have gone to salsa Brava and you could
- 28:28Speaker 2: have done it then and we could have had a
- 28:29Speaker 2: meaningful conversation. But no, it's gotta be five minutes. It's
- 28:32Speaker 2: gotta be on camera. With her weird gift, she pulls
- 28:35Speaker 2: Mary aside, starts immediately crying and having some sobb story.
- 28:40Speaker 1: She turned around. I enter into the house right, and
- 28:43Speaker 1: then she turns around and she's already fucking sobbing with
- 28:47Speaker 1: no tears.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I know she's forcing them out, dude, She's trying to
- 28:51Speaker 2: shit out tears right now, but she can't because she
- 28:54Speaker 2: doesn't ever Vizine with her. So she's sitting there telling
- 28:57Speaker 2: Mary like, I'm gonna miss you. Didn't have to this way,
- 29:00Speaker 2: and I just like really wish you good wishes, and
- 29:03Speaker 2: I got you this gift, which Mary's like, okay, thanks,
- 29:06Speaker 2: Like well, she has.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Her the bag, and then Mary doesn't go to open it.
- 29:10Speaker 1: She's probably thinking to herself, like so many of us would,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I'll open this later and I have a moment and
- 29:14Speaker 1: I can think about it. But no, Robin grabs the
- 29:17Speaker 1: bag from her and pulls out the junk journal, which
- 29:19Speaker 1: I've never heard of such a thing, uh huh. And
- 29:21Speaker 1: then she reads the caption on the front of the journal,
- 29:24Speaker 1: and then she tells the camera, well, because I like
- 29:27Speaker 1: to log my dreams, I like to write down my
- 29:30Speaker 1: goals for myself, so I just figured this would be
- 29:33Speaker 1: a great way for Mary to write down her dreams.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Is she's starting her new chapter, like even in the
- 29:38Speaker 1: explanation of this gift that she got from Mary, it
- 29:42Speaker 1: is all about her, yeah, and what she does, what
- 29:44Speaker 1: works for her, what she loves. It is not even
- 29:47Speaker 1: about Mary.
- 29:48Speaker 2: No, the whole gift is just some ugly, gaudy thing
- 29:52Speaker 2: that Robin would like. Mary would never get something like this.
- 29:56Speaker 2: It's so weird. And the fact that she pulled the
- 29:59Speaker 2: gift out of her to open it on camera. I'm like,
- 30:02Speaker 2: this is pure peak narcissism right here. It's so ridiculous.
- 30:08Speaker 2: And Mary is doing such a great job. Yes, just
- 30:11Speaker 2: like not giving her any emotion, not giving her any
- 30:15Speaker 2: narcissistic supply, Total gray Rock.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Yes, so good, very good. And here's where we see
- 30:23Speaker 1: Mary potentially roll her eyes. Robin gives her a big
- 30:28Speaker 1: hug and she's just crying and Mary kind of looks
- 30:31Speaker 1: off to the side. It's not a total eye roll,
- 30:33Speaker 1: but I mean it's like a half of an eye roll.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But she's just like stony faced, and she's just like, thanks, yep,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I love you too, yep, thanks for the gift, Total
- 30:42Speaker 1: gray Rock. As if she's been to therapy or as
- 30:45Speaker 1: if she's learned how to deal with a narcissist by
- 30:47Speaker 1: reading some kind of a book or something. Whatever it was,
- 30:49Speaker 1: it worked great. And here again Robin is so absorbed
- 30:56Speaker 1: with her own perception of self that she can't see
- 31:00Speaker 1: as she's just crying and making this huge spectacle of
- 31:04Speaker 1: emotion that Mary is totally not into it. Now. If
- 31:07Speaker 1: I was crying in front of you because of something
- 31:09Speaker 1: I was feeling and I didn't see a reciprocal vibe
- 31:13Speaker 1: from you, or if we were into it, I would
- 31:14Speaker 1: be able to see that, right, and I'd be like, Okay,
- 31:16Speaker 1: this isn't the person, this isn't the time. Let me
- 31:18Speaker 1: just adjust and we can do this later or maybe
- 31:21Speaker 1: never at all, because you're not receptive to it. But
- 31:24Speaker 1: Robin so lacks the ability to empathically connect with somebody
- 31:29Speaker 1: else and to feel where they are in any given moment,
- 31:32Speaker 1: despite calling herself an EmPATH, right, she so lacks that
- 31:36Speaker 1: ability that she doesn't even notice that. Mary's just like,
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm so fucking over you, and I'm doing my very
- 31:41Speaker 1: best to tolerate you, and I wish you would leave.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It's time for you to leave.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Yeah, But all Robin is concerned about is coming off
- 31:49Speaker 2: like she actually gives a shit about Mary, when it's
- 31:51Speaker 2: like we've been seeing season after season, episode after episode,
- 31:56Speaker 2: how you just don't give a shit about Mary, You
- 31:58Speaker 2: don't give a shit about anybody in a family. Mary
- 32:01Speaker 2: just last week was talked about how it's like pulling
- 32:03Speaker 2: teeth to try and even see your kids, who she
- 32:06Speaker 2: actually cares about and has a relationship with. But you
- 32:09Speaker 2: don't even return Mary's texts or phone calls, you don't
- 32:13Speaker 2: invite her over to holidays. So you want us, the viewers,
- 32:17Speaker 2: who are very smart and very pretty, to believe that
- 32:21Speaker 2: you actually are heartbroken and sad over Mary moving. Like,
- 32:25Speaker 2: give me a break.
- 32:26Speaker 1: This is like dumb people, Shenanigan. Yes, Like she thinks
- 32:30Speaker 1: everyone else is at the same level of intelligence as
- 32:33Speaker 1: she is, and she thinks she's very smart, but she
- 32:35Speaker 1: doesn't realize that she's actually quite dumb. And everybody, everybody, yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 1: can see through it. Yeah, So that's why it's embarrassing.
- 32:44Speaker 1: It's literally embarrassing seeing her breakdown and perform. It's going
- 32:48Speaker 1: to be embarrassing when it happens with Cody two. They
- 32:50Speaker 1: think that they're doing something that's actually going to sway
- 32:53Speaker 1: the viewer, but they're just embedding us in our opinion
- 32:57Speaker 1: that they suck so very badly. They're fake people, they
- 33:01Speaker 1: are thieves, and they're dispicable.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yep. And like we've said before, it would make us
- 33:08Speaker 2: respect you guys so much more if you were just
- 33:11Speaker 2: honest about the whole real intentions of everything, like, yeah,
- 33:13Speaker 2: we just didn't fucking care about the rest with this woman.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I wanted to be with her and that's unfortunate, but like,
- 33:20Speaker 1: let's consciously uncouple and let's figure it out for everybody.
- 33:24Speaker 1: But that's not what they did. They had to blow
- 33:26Speaker 1: it up and then blame everybody else.
- 33:29Speaker 2: And I loved how Mary commented about Robin's emotional breakdown
- 33:33Speaker 2: of being like, yeah, that's something that Robin's gonna have
- 33:36Speaker 2: to deal with on her own.
- 33:37Speaker 1: That's a problem.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I don't care, basically, And then when Robin shuffles away
- 33:42Speaker 2: and leaves Fate crying, Mary says something off the cuff
- 33:46Speaker 2: like yeah, well we both have phones, so.
- 33:47Speaker 1: By yeah, maybe text me or something like.
- 33:51Speaker 2: That, call me if you actually care.
- 33:53Speaker 1: But she's not gonna, No, she's not. She don't give
- 33:56Speaker 1: a shit.
- 33:57Speaker 2: And then Robin cries in her car.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Right well before that, Mary does say that she's not
- 34:02Speaker 1: willing to be emotional in this moment, and that she's
- 34:05Speaker 1: only emotional with people that she's comfortable with or people
- 34:11Speaker 1: that she trusts. I forget what her words actually were,
- 34:14Speaker 1: but essentially what she's subtweeting is that I don't trust
- 34:18Speaker 1: this woman. I don't feel safe being emotional in front
- 34:21Speaker 1: of her. I don't think she's going to take care
- 34:23Speaker 1: of me in that way. So instead, what Robin is
- 34:26Speaker 1: doing is requiring Mary to take care of her, even
- 34:28Speaker 1: though Mary's the one that's going through this huge transition.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Mary is the one is being cast out of this family.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Mary is the one that is having to pay the
- 34:36Speaker 1: cost to move back to Utah. She's got to take
- 34:40Speaker 1: care of Robin.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, in this moment, and even Cody tries to when
- 34:44Speaker 2: Robin leaves, like he tries to like go over to
- 34:47Speaker 2: her or something. He calls calls out for her, and
- 34:50Speaker 2: Mary calls him out and is like, no, no, no,
- 34:52Speaker 2: today's about me. You get her all the time, So
- 34:55Speaker 2: stop that, right, come on, let's back to the real shit.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Help me move. Yeah yep.
- 35:00Speaker 2: So even Cody feels the need to go and console
- 35:03Speaker 2: Robin because it's all about her, which is really interesting
- 35:07Speaker 2: because we've had like these discussions about like, is Robin
- 35:10Speaker 2: this master manipulator? Is she smart enough for that? Does
- 35:13Speaker 2: she have all the power? And this episode, for me,
- 35:16Speaker 2: in my opinion, was that she's got all the power
- 35:19Speaker 2: she has. Cody on a leash, he does whatever she wants.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Cody's a narc for sure, but I don't think he
- 35:26Speaker 2: is the nark in power. I think it's all Robin.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Yeah, like I've been thinking that, yeah this.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Whole time, Like this whole scene was so ridiculous, her
- 35:36Speaker 2: making the whole thing about her and sobbing, fake crying.
- 35:39Speaker 1: But it's not a smart narc. No, she's a nark
- 35:42Speaker 1: who thinks everybody's buying her bullshit. Then she gets into
- 35:45Speaker 1: the car. She films herself so close at such a
- 35:49Speaker 1: terrible angle.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Or we can see her nose hairs.
- 35:51Speaker 1: It's very I'm uncomfy. Yeah, and she's crying again, although
- 35:57Speaker 1: we see the tears actually start, so she could have
- 36:00Speaker 1: done the vising beforehand. She's talking about how it's a
- 36:03Speaker 1: heartbreak after heartbreak and it's just too much shut up totally,
- 36:10Speaker 1: like zooming in on her eyebrows and you're so strange
- 36:13Speaker 1: how she paints them all there, so rectangular, very very odd.
- 36:17Speaker 1: But she's trying to do something. She's trying to get
- 36:20Speaker 1: us to feel something for her. And guess what, I don't.
- 36:23Speaker 2: We don't.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I don't care about you. This is the only time
- 36:26Speaker 1: you were even featured in the episode. Well, I guess
- 36:29Speaker 1: she responded to Christine. But I'm like, we literally don't
- 36:31Speaker 1: need you. We lose nothing if you're not on the show.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's bad enough we have to put up
- 36:36Speaker 1: with Cody motherfucking Brown, but we you're boring. Yeah, you
- 36:39Speaker 1: don't want to be there. Everybody knows it, So get on.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Yeah bye, nobody wants you. But if you notice, when
- 36:47Speaker 2: she was filming herself in the car crying, she kept
- 36:49Speaker 2: looking at the camera every time a tear would drop,
- 36:52Speaker 2: or every time she I was noticing it, like she
- 36:54Speaker 2: was looking at her reflection to make sure she looked
- 36:57Speaker 2: convincing crying. That's I noticed.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think
- 37:03Speaker 2: that's exactly what she was doing, putting on a total
- 37:05Speaker 2: fucking performance, trying to hyperventilate, Like I give a fuck,
- 37:09Speaker 2: I don't care if your heart broken.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I hope your heart. I hope you are. Look what
- 37:13Speaker 1: you've done, it should hurt. Yeah, all these people you've hurt.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Enjoy your mansion before your inevitable bankruptcy.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Foreclosure. Yeah. So then she leaves and we're back to packing,
- 37:25Speaker 1: and I think the only other thing that I personally
- 37:28Speaker 1: need to talk about, although you can talk about whatever
- 37:29Speaker 1: you want to talk about. Is the mission statement?
- 37:32Speaker 2: Oh yes? Is the mission statement the Family Mission Statement?
- 37:36Speaker 1: Right? Because Mary has the Family Mission Statement and she's
- 37:41Speaker 1: just like, we're just gonna burn it, right because obviously
- 37:43Speaker 1: it didn't amount to anything. It didn't work. Yeah, Coddy's like, no.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Oh, it's sentimental. I think we should do that, which
- 37:52Speaker 2: is so crazy because Mary calls it a failure. She's like,
- 37:56Speaker 2: it didn't live up to anything, so why would I
- 37:59Speaker 2: keep it? And we have the flashbacks to those episodes
- 38:02Speaker 2: where they did the Family Mission Statement, which I don't
- 38:04Speaker 2: think we've watched in our recap. No, yeah, we're not there,
- 38:06Speaker 2: so we haven't like watched the full episodes, but.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Justn't even moved into the homes yet. No we haven't.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, they're still building everything in Vegas. But yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 2: it's just sad. It's like what happened with John and
- 38:17Speaker 2: eight plus Kate too, Like where they had the whole
- 38:19Speaker 2: val renewal and they had the all this ceremony and
- 38:21Speaker 2: all this bullshit and then they get divorced. He's broken up.
- 38:25Speaker 2: It's like, it's actually really sad looking back on that
- 38:28Speaker 2: stuff very much so, And I don't know why Cody
- 38:30Speaker 2: wants to keep it. You didn't live up to it either, Pale.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Right, But I think it's because he has an actual
- 38:38Speaker 1: affection for his kids and for what his family once was,
- 38:42Speaker 1: and it's a symbol of that. And so to hear
- 38:45Speaker 1: Mary say, well, I'm just gonna burn it in a fire,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna shit all over it is like it really
- 38:51Speaker 1: just yeah, it's speaking directly to something that he's lost. Yeah.
- 38:55Speaker 1: But will he take it home and hang it in
- 38:57Speaker 1: the McMansion next to all his gaudy art and the village?
- 39:01Speaker 2: Of course nobody will not, which is interesting. I don't
- 39:03Speaker 2: know if they all got a copy of the mission
- 39:05Speaker 2: statement or was it just Mary.
- 39:07Speaker 1: They probably all don't.
- 39:08Speaker 2: So then what did Cody do with his copy?
- 39:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Is it packed in the basement probably probably? Yeah, I
- 39:14Speaker 2: don't see it hung up in that big old inul room.
- 39:16Speaker 1: All that ugly art is up there, that's right.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah. And then Cody talks about how he's bitter and
- 39:21Speaker 2: hurt and how he thinks that other people in the
- 39:23Speaker 2: family are also bitter and hurt by it, but doesn't
- 39:26Speaker 2: pontificate anymore on.
- 39:28Speaker 1: One step further, and maybe we could talk about how
- 39:30Speaker 1: you contributed to where everybody is right now, But of
- 39:32Speaker 1: course we never take that step.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Oh, of course not. And then shifting gears a little bit,
- 39:37Speaker 2: we have Janelle coming over to Christine's house in Utah
- 39:41Speaker 2: because she wants to meet David, because now Christine's living
- 39:44Speaker 2: with this guy and engaged, and she's like, I guess
- 39:46Speaker 2: I gotta meet him, right right, So she comes over.
- 39:50Speaker 2: They're making lasagna, but they first start off with a
- 39:53Speaker 2: conversation about coins.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yes, because Janelle tells Christine that she went to see
- 39:59Speaker 1: Mary and she says that it was a weird conversation
- 40:03Speaker 1: and that Mary is apparently under the impression that it
- 40:07Speaker 1: was Janelle that was handling the money, which Janelle deduces
- 40:11Speaker 1: that that means, you know, Cody's telling people that it
- 40:15Speaker 1: was Janelle who is in control of the money. And
- 40:17Speaker 1: then we have some interesting clips of people talking about
- 40:20Speaker 1: the money, but Cody in particular saying well, I mean, yeah,
- 40:24Speaker 1: Janelle was the one who was in control of the money,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and of course I participated in it. But you could
- 40:29Speaker 1: really see him. It was interesting, we got to get
- 40:31Speaker 1: into it. You could see him kind of backpedaling and
- 40:34Speaker 1: wanting to contextualize it in such a way to take
- 40:37Speaker 1: the onus and the responsibility off of him. He's doing
- 40:41Speaker 1: this in an interstitial or a talking head that looks
- 40:44Speaker 1: more current.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Huh.
- 40:45Speaker 1: So that made me immediately wonder how why is he
- 40:48Speaker 1: trying to frame it this way? Is it because he's
- 40:51Speaker 1: currently being sued on the verge of being sued in
- 40:55Speaker 1: the process of settling something, so he's trying to get
- 40:58Speaker 1: the heat off of him. But like, it's so funny,
- 41:00Speaker 1: rich yep for him to blame Janelle. And then we
- 41:04Speaker 1: have Christine saying, uh, yeah, Like, as my understanding is
- 41:07Speaker 1: that all the money went into one family fund and
- 41:11Speaker 1: then if I needed something, I would go to Cody
- 41:14Speaker 1: and Cody would cut me the check. He absolutely controlled
- 41:16Speaker 1: the money, like we would all get a share and
- 41:19Speaker 1: then Cody could do whatever the fuck you wanted to do. Yep.
- 41:22Speaker 2: And Janelle says that, and then Mary says, well, Cody
- 41:25Speaker 2: and Robin and Janelle are all saying different things about
- 41:28Speaker 2: the money. I think none of them are truthful, which
- 41:31Speaker 2: I'm just like, bitch, really, what are you talking about?
- 41:35Speaker 1: Who is I watching? I always like to cite my sources.
- 41:38Speaker 1: I think it was Nicky Haverstock and her husband John
- 41:40Speaker 1: were saying something like, Okay, well, who's the one living
- 41:43Speaker 1: in an RV? Mary, Hello, who's the one living in
- 41:46Speaker 1: an RV versus the person who's in a McMansion? Yep,
- 41:49Speaker 1: And he has all these multiple cars and all in
- 41:51Speaker 1: this artwork. You've been inside of the house and you've
- 41:53Speaker 1: seen it all. So you really think it's Janelle that's
- 41:55Speaker 1: the one that's being untruthful and not Cody and Robin.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so wid And I mean, Janelle says to Christine, like,
- 42:01Speaker 2: if I was the one that was actually control in
- 42:04Speaker 2: control of money, we would have already paid off Coyote Pass,
- 42:07Speaker 2: we would have already built a house up there. I
- 42:08Speaker 2: would have had a house. We would have been doing
- 42:10Speaker 2: a lot of different things financially. So it's not me,
- 42:14Speaker 2: Like Janelle even says in her talking head, all she
- 42:17Speaker 2: did was drink a whole bottle of wine and record
- 42:20Speaker 2: the transactions and send him to the accountant.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Right, And Christine said, yeah, I remember you would text
- 42:25Speaker 1: us and say, Okay, who spent this when this happened?
- 42:27Speaker 1: And so I remember when you were doing that, and
- 42:30Speaker 1: how stressful that was, and so she was the record
- 42:34Speaker 1: keeper and the bookkeeper. But having said that, I do
- 42:37Speaker 1: think she saw where the money went. She most assuredly saw,
- 42:41Speaker 1: because she even tells Christine when Christine says, Cody can
- 42:43Speaker 1: do whatever what he wants to do, he can spend
- 42:46Speaker 1: whatever he wants, Janelle says something like, oh, he did
- 42:48Speaker 1: a lot of that. She saw it right, It was
- 42:51Speaker 1: probably going on four years yep. And yet she didn't
- 42:55Speaker 1: send up a flare. She didn't talk to the other
- 42:57Speaker 1: og wives. We didn't have a pow wow at the
- 43:00Speaker 1: Norman conference table, we didn't have a conversation and bring
- 43:03Speaker 1: some transparency into it. So she covered for Cody exactly.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And so in that way, if Christine didn't know and
- 43:10Speaker 1: Mary didn't know, then she is a little bit complicit
- 43:13Speaker 1: into the way in the way that that money was handled.
- 43:16Speaker 2: And maybe that's what Mary's meaning when she says that
- 43:18Speaker 2: Janelle's not being truthful, like, yeah, maybe Janelle didn't have
- 43:22Speaker 2: control of where money was going, but she still knew
- 43:25Speaker 2: right where it was going. And even if she's texting
- 43:28Speaker 2: people like hey, who's spent X amount on this, like
- 43:32Speaker 2: she's still in the know of who's spending what and
- 43:35Speaker 2: how much they're spending and where they're funneling it to.
- 43:39Speaker 2: And it's like if you were the bookkeeper, like you
- 43:42Speaker 2: had to have known what LLC's were getting what money.
- 43:46Speaker 2: So like you if you're sending all of this to
- 43:48Speaker 2: the accountants, like you're keeping track of Cody and Robbins
- 43:52Speaker 2: at LLC and Christine and Mary and yours, so like
- 43:55Speaker 2: well they only had one LLC, Well they had different
- 43:57Speaker 2: accounts though.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Different account yeah LSA, Yeah, Cody cutting check out from
- 44:01Speaker 1: the LLC to the different wives, right, but I.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Think doesn't Cody and Robin don't they have DAB They
- 44:05Speaker 2: now have.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Another LLC R Yes, which I guess they are using
- 44:09Speaker 1: to collect their current checks. But yeah, and Janelle would
- 44:14Speaker 1: have seen all of that, HM and Janelle should have
- 44:17Speaker 1: said something, should have done something, but she did not.
- 44:21Speaker 1: And Cody was able to store all of these assets
- 44:24Speaker 1: and take all of this money under her watchful eye,
- 44:27Speaker 1: and she didn't do anything about it. I mean maybe
- 44:28Speaker 1: they had conversations together, but like, shouldn't do anything about it?
- 44:32Speaker 2: No, And the fact that Cody in his talking head,
- 44:34Speaker 2: the most recent one twenty twenty four, probably he's saying,
- 44:38Speaker 2: like all of my wives seem to remember that Janelle
- 44:41Speaker 2: was in control of the money, so again putting it
- 44:43Speaker 2: on her, which is really fucked up. And then Janelle
- 44:46Speaker 2: talks more about this being the this is Cody's mo.
- 44:49Speaker 2: He does this. He picks at the most vulnerable parts
- 44:53Speaker 2: of ourselves, Like for Janelle, financial security is her most
- 44:57Speaker 2: vulnerable and most important thing to her, so he's gonna
- 45:00Speaker 2: blame her for the finances. For Christine, it's about physical
- 45:04Speaker 2: appearance and being attracted to him, and she or Cody
- 45:08Speaker 2: had told Christine, I'm disgusted by you. I'm not attracted
- 45:12Speaker 2: to you. And then a Cody again in his talking head,
- 45:14Speaker 2: is like, no, I told that to Janelle, and then
- 45:17Speaker 2: Janelle told that to Christine, which is very rude of her.
- 45:20Speaker 1: But I'm like, uh, you've actually said it on TV
- 45:22Speaker 1: and I actually wrote about it in your books. Weren't
- 45:25Speaker 1: attracted to christ like you've been saying this, And there's
- 45:28Speaker 1: a reason. It is a wound for Christine, and it's
- 45:30Speaker 1: not a wound that happened the year that she left you.
- 45:32Speaker 1: It is a wound that has been there because of
- 45:34Speaker 1: the way that you've treated her. So this is where
- 45:36Speaker 1: again we're speaking to either this man is crazy and
- 45:38Speaker 1: has lost his mind, this man is dumb, or this
- 45:41Speaker 1: man is just straight lying and he thinks we're all
- 45:43Speaker 1: buying it all three. Yeah, but he wants to blame
- 45:46Speaker 1: his poor behavior on Janelle, and he also wants it
- 45:50Speaker 1: to seem that he didn't have as much responsibility as
- 45:53Speaker 1: he actually did with that money.
- 45:54Speaker 2: And maybe you're right, maybe it's because of the impending lawsuits,
- 45:58Speaker 2: because he's trying to keep the heat off of it.
- 46:00Speaker 2: His lawyer consulted him and is like, yeah, say this
- 46:03Speaker 2: on TV because you've already dug yourself a huge grave
- 46:06Speaker 2: and I'm trying to do my best with all of this,
- 46:09Speaker 2: but you're not making it easy. So say this.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And then you fast forward to Year of Our Lord
- 46:13Speaker 1: twenty twenty four and the active lawsuit from Christine against
- 46:18Speaker 1: Cody and the inevitable discovery phase where all of his
- 46:22Speaker 1: financials are going to be made visible. Now that doesn't
- 46:26Speaker 1: mean we as Raccoons are going to be privy to
- 46:28Speaker 1: that information, but Christine will, and she can surely share
- 46:32Speaker 1: that information with Janelle and with Mary and with whoever
- 46:35Speaker 1: she wants to share that information with, so she could
- 46:38Speaker 1: also leak it up in touch please people dot com
- 46:41Speaker 1: or to reality TV crity. We would love to hear
- 46:44Speaker 1: about it.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Dmlus on Instagram.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Yeah, she's going to take a forensic look on at
- 46:50Speaker 1: everything that they have acquired.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I want it so bad. Wouldn't it be awesome if
- 46:54Speaker 2: Emily D. Baker covered it?
- 46:56Speaker 1: Yeah she didn't. God be so good, be so so.
- 47:00Speaker 2: And then you know, the other thing that came out
- 47:02Speaker 2: of Janelle and Christine at her house is that she
- 47:05Speaker 2: meets David for the first time and they talk about
- 47:07Speaker 2: their titty tattoo don't care and Christine living in Sine.
- 47:11Speaker 1: And I'm glossing right over how it is that she's
- 47:15Speaker 1: had such a huge change in her life. I don't care. Yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 1: I don't care. I mean I do care about how
- 47:21Speaker 1: it happened, but she's not going to talk about it. Well,
- 47:23Speaker 1: we did have Janelle talking about finding property in North Carolina. Yes,
- 47:27Speaker 1: they had been looking in Montana, but Montana ended up
- 47:30Speaker 1: being quite expensive, and so just so happens that there's
- 47:34Speaker 1: property that's not too far from Maddie and Caleb, so
- 47:38Speaker 1: that Caleb could continue to work in his existing job
- 47:41Speaker 1: and they could buy some land and it's affordable and
- 47:44Speaker 1: so Janelle is in the process, it seems of moving.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and she says it's a farm. So I'm like,
- 47:50Speaker 2: is this the title farms or whatever that you just bought? Like,
- 47:54Speaker 2: are we getting closer to the current timeline? I don't
- 47:57Speaker 2: think so, because it's well because Christine and David are
- 48:01Speaker 2: engaged at this point, they're not married.
- 48:02Speaker 1: They are not married unless they're.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Lying, unless this is a scene that's produced currently. But
- 48:08Speaker 2: it's like, I can't.
- 48:10Speaker 1: This is why I get so confused as to what
- 48:12Speaker 1: is happening and when it's actually happening. So maybe they're
- 48:15Speaker 1: looking at land. Maybe there's some land that looks really
- 48:18Speaker 1: great and is affordable, But I don't think they actually
- 48:21Speaker 1: purchased until summer of twenty twenty four, right, it was
- 48:23Speaker 1: just a few months ago that they picked up.
- 48:25Speaker 2: The farm according to Instagram.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so I have no idea. Yeah, we do see
- 48:28Speaker 1: in the preview that she actually packs up and David
- 48:31Speaker 1: drives her to North Carolina. So she is, in relatively
- 48:35Speaker 1: short order going to be moving. Don't know where she's
- 48:37Speaker 1: going to be living, but she's going to be moving.
- 48:40Speaker 2: And I love that because she doesn't even tell Cody.
- 48:42Speaker 2: And then I'm like Mary, why didn't you do that?
- 48:44Speaker 1: She could have.
- 48:44Speaker 2: You could have.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Cody wouldn't have cared because Mary still loves him. Yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 1: Mary still wants to have a relationship with Cody. That's
- 48:50Speaker 1: why Mary still wants to maintain a connection of some sort.
- 48:54Speaker 1: And Janelle is over it. Yeah, and we love that
- 48:57Speaker 1: for a Torrian queen.
- 48:58Speaker 2: We love it. And speaking of Mary moving, we go
- 49:02Speaker 2: back to Parawana. This is where we like end the
- 49:04Speaker 2: episode with Mary and Cody. So, like they've packed up
- 49:08Speaker 2: the truck. Cody drove it to the B and B.
- 49:10Speaker 2: So now they're unloading it there with Jen and Nate. Yep,
- 49:15Speaker 2: I don't know why he's there. I mean, I guess
- 49:17Speaker 2: he's moving help whatever. But they joke about polygamy humor
- 49:23Speaker 2: and like showing Cody Mary's bedroom, right.
- 49:26Speaker 1: So they're moving the stuff in and like Mary's wondering
- 49:31Speaker 1: if Cody should see the bedroom. Isn't that a little weird?
- 49:33Speaker 1: And so Jen is making jokes. They're all joking and
- 49:37Speaker 1: then this is where Cody talks to us in the
- 49:40Speaker 1: interstitial about polygamy humor and how for Janelle and Robin
- 49:47Speaker 1: it was a little bit more difficult. They didn't like
- 49:49Speaker 1: polygamy humor because it shined a light on the fact
- 49:53Speaker 1: that it was a difficult adjustment when they entered into
- 49:55Speaker 1: the family. Yeah, he actually says that one of his
- 49:59Speaker 1: regrets is kind of exposing Janelle to what I would
- 50:03Speaker 1: assume is Mary's wrath and bullying when she comes into
- 50:05Speaker 1: the family. And then he talks about Robin hearing him
- 50:10Speaker 1: tell a joke about the polygamy and saying, don't you
- 50:12Speaker 1: dare joke about it. I have been absolutely terrorized by
- 50:16Speaker 1: your whole family since coming into this Brown family, and
- 50:19Speaker 1: I don't want to hear it. Crimey ho river, right,
- 50:21Speaker 1: And so he can't joke with Robin about it because
- 50:23Speaker 1: everything has to be turbo serious. But I did think
- 50:27Speaker 1: it was interesting his opinion and observation about Janelle.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and even Christine, how like Christine loved polygamy humor.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Mary loved polygamy humor, And that kind of goes to
- 50:37Speaker 2: like what Cody has said in the past about like
- 50:40Speaker 2: Christine specifically, like how she was the fun and lighthearted wife.
- 50:43Speaker 2: And I mean, we're seeing him laugh with Mary and
- 50:46Speaker 2: he even calls her the favorite ex wife because they
- 50:49Speaker 2: have like this good rapport. Now that they're broken up,
- 50:52Speaker 2: but it's like it's just interesting to see their dynamic
- 50:55Speaker 2: and how it's changed over all of these years. Like
- 50:58Speaker 2: he was just talking about how she he Mary was
- 51:00Speaker 2: and how aggressive and terrible she is, but then you're
- 51:03Speaker 2: laughing about seeing her bedroom and then you're saying later
- 51:06Speaker 2: that you're going to walk her down the aisle.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Which, yeah, he's on a pr campaign and he's trying
- 51:12Speaker 1: to rehab his image. I just found it to be
- 51:16Speaker 1: so very awkward and strange, And certainly when we get
- 51:22Speaker 1: to the part where Cody begins to break down his performance,
- 51:26Speaker 1: his performance, but I think part of it was authentic.
- 51:29Speaker 1: We can talk about that, but like when we get
- 51:30Speaker 1: to that, it's just so cringe and we have Jen
- 51:33Speaker 1: looking away and Nate looking away, came down and looking away,
- 51:37Speaker 1: not wanting to be a part of it. And truly,
- 51:39Speaker 1: why would you be doing this in front of two
- 51:41Speaker 1: people who don't need to see this. Why can't you say, hey,
- 51:44Speaker 1: can we step outside? Like Robin did when she came
- 51:47Speaker 1: with the gift, she married her way, she pulled her
- 51:49Speaker 1: away to have this private conversation. Why couldn't Cody do
- 51:52Speaker 1: that unless he wanted to perform or whether the emotions
- 51:56Speaker 1: were unexpected and spontaneous and so he just allowed himself
- 52:01Speaker 1: to feel them in the moment. I don't know. I
- 52:03Speaker 1: don't know.
- 52:05Speaker 2: I think it's a little bit of both. I think
- 52:07Speaker 2: the emotion was spontaneous. Like I think it did hit
- 52:10Speaker 2: him in that moment, like after all of her shit's
- 52:12Speaker 2: and the BMB and he realizes like, oh, it's like
- 52:17Speaker 2: done done. It's like final, it's over. Like even though
- 52:21Speaker 2: you should have had this reaction when she got the release,
- 52:23Speaker 2: and you should have had this reaction like two years
- 52:25Speaker 2: ago when like you guys were pretty much done. You
- 52:28Speaker 2: said that the marriage had been done for the last
- 52:30Speaker 2: two years or eight years or whatever the fuck it was, Like,
- 52:34Speaker 2: I don't know, in this moment, I think he realized,
- 52:36Speaker 2: like dang, okay, there's nothing else. Like she's officially out
- 52:40Speaker 2: of flagstaff, Like it's officially done. He even says like
- 52:44Speaker 2: now this gives us permission to move on, and like
- 52:47Speaker 2: you had talked about this last week, like when you
- 52:50Speaker 2: leave a marriage and you end a marriage, like there's
- 52:52Speaker 2: still that like cathartic release that happens between both sides
- 52:57Speaker 2: where you just cry and you like let it out.
- 52:59Speaker 2: I mean, this is truly the end of an era.
- 53:02Speaker 2: But then at the same time, I think it was
- 53:04Speaker 2: very convenient that it was on camera. It's in front
- 53:07Speaker 2: of these two witnesses, you know what I mean, Like
- 53:09Speaker 2: he's doing it for the camera for everybody else's reaction,
- 53:13Speaker 2: and it's all about him. It's not really about Mary.
- 53:18Speaker 1: No, it isn't about Mary. In fact, I would say
- 53:20Speaker 1: it's doesn't involve her at all. I think, going back
- 53:24Speaker 1: to this notion that it was Mary and Cody that
- 53:29Speaker 1: started this family. Because of this prime primary union, all
- 53:34Speaker 1: of these kids and all of these wives and all
- 53:37Speaker 1: of these relationships were able to happen. Yeah, And so
- 53:40Speaker 1: he talks about that when he's saying, you know, we
- 53:42Speaker 1: had something special, you and I and specific we created
- 53:46Speaker 1: something special. But in this moment, I feel like he's
- 53:49Speaker 1: not even mourning Mary. I think he's mourning the loss
- 53:51Speaker 1: of his entire family and he doesn't have the shield
- 53:54Speaker 1: of anger anymore. And he tells Mary like, I'm not
- 53:56Speaker 1: angry the sole weekend, move on, I'm just in mourning.
- 54:00Speaker 1: He doesn't have the shield of anger, which makes it
- 54:02Speaker 1: easier for him to off gas some of what is
- 54:05Speaker 1: bubbling to the surface because he doesn't have that. He's
- 54:09Speaker 1: had to deal with what he's actually feeling, which is
- 54:11Speaker 1: just tremendous heartbreak because all of your kids are gone. Yep,
- 54:17Speaker 1: your first three wives are gone. And although you love
- 54:22Speaker 1: Robin and I don't doubt it, and you love your
- 54:23Speaker 1: children with Robin, and I don't doubt it, and I
- 54:25Speaker 1: bet you love your life and it's a lot more simple,
- 54:28Speaker 1: and that's all true, you still lost everything, yep. And
- 54:34Speaker 1: you and I were talking before about the fact that
- 54:37Speaker 1: I believe that Cody Brown was a good father, right yeah,
- 54:43Speaker 1: And Janelle tells us that he was a great dade
- 54:46Speaker 1: very present in the early years, and even from the
- 54:50Speaker 1: beginning of the show, we saw Cody being a good
- 54:52Speaker 1: dad and really wanting, like really valuing his family and
- 54:57Speaker 1: wanting to show that and demonstrate that to to the audience.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Like I think he that was his identity. His whole
- 55:03Speaker 1: identity was wrapped up in being a good husband and
- 55:05Speaker 1: a good father, and he said that on more than
- 55:07Speaker 1: one occasion, and I believe him, and so to be
- 55:10Speaker 1: in this moment, this stark, cold moment where Mary represents
- 55:15Speaker 1: everything that no longer is like, you can't run from
- 55:19Speaker 1: that level of emotion, honey, Like that's a wave that's
- 55:22Speaker 1: crashing over you and all you can do is just
- 55:25Speaker 1: let it toss you around. And so I do think
- 55:28Speaker 1: some of that is happening here. But he's also smart
- 55:31Speaker 1: enough to know, Oh well, I could also take advantage
- 55:34Speaker 1: of this, because people hate me, people hate Robin, and
- 55:37Speaker 1: so if they see us crying, if they see us caring,
- 55:39Speaker 1: if they see us having emotion, well maybe they'll want
- 55:42Speaker 1: to keep us around. Maybe they won't think we're villains.
- 55:46Speaker 2: And you know, to your point about the fact that
- 55:48Speaker 2: Mary's like this emblem, this symbol of the beginning of
- 55:51Speaker 2: this whole family, the start of this Plagami's journey. Like
- 55:54Speaker 2: I was seeing some clips on Reddit just this week
- 55:58Speaker 2: of Cody and Mary's like earlier moments, like in the
- 56:01Speaker 2: earlier seasons, and we've talked about this in our recaps
- 56:03Speaker 2: of like him calling her his soulmate, their trips to
- 56:07Speaker 2: Mexico and how there was like a lot of sexual connection,
- 56:10Speaker 2: like how they had like a genuine love together, And
- 56:14Speaker 2: Cody talked about this even in the earlier seasons, like
- 56:17Speaker 2: there was something there and he even says it in
- 56:20Speaker 2: this episode, we had something special and it all went
- 56:23Speaker 2: to shit. I wonder if maybe that's the reason why
- 56:26Speaker 2: Cody has been so like avoidant with Mary all of
- 56:31Speaker 2: these years, Like just not wanting to deal with her,
- 56:34Speaker 2: not acknowledging her. That's kind of cody'smo like he just
- 56:36Speaker 2: doesn't want to deal with any of his relationships with
- 56:39Speaker 2: his kids, the other wives, Like he would rather just
- 56:42Speaker 2: everybody stay in their status quo and him just hang
- 56:45Speaker 2: out with Robin and her break dancing pussy where he
- 56:48Speaker 2: can just live his good life and everything's still put
- 56:51Speaker 2: together and he's not a failure. But now everything's crumbling.
- 56:54Speaker 2: All of his relationships are going to shit because of him,
- 56:58Speaker 2: because he doesn't want to deal with it. He doesn't
- 57:00Speaker 2: want to put any effort in, he doesn't want to
- 57:03Speaker 2: admit any of his faults, he doesn't want to take
- 57:05Speaker 2: any accountability. So yeah, he's just gonna avoid Mary. But
- 57:09Speaker 2: now he can't avoid it. In this moment, You've moved
- 57:11Speaker 2: her away, she's gone, she's done, she's over, and you're
- 57:16Speaker 2: crying because, yeah, you are a little sad you grew
- 57:20Speaker 2: up with her. You guys got married at nineteen and
- 57:23Speaker 2: twenty two, like you had your whole lives basically your
- 57:26Speaker 2: entire adult lives together. So yeah, you're gonna be sad,
- 57:31Speaker 2: But are you sad for the right reasons? Probably not,
- 57:34Speaker 2: because you're not taking accountability. You're not sitting in the
- 57:37Speaker 2: full weight of your failure and your shame as the patriarch,
- 57:41Speaker 2: the man who started this family. And now it's garbage.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and you can try to convince yourself that what
- 57:49Speaker 1: you have in replacement of that is right just as good,
- 57:52Speaker 1: if not better. It's it's actually not. You actually had
- 57:56Speaker 1: an entire cloud of children around you at all, and
- 58:00Speaker 1: these kids adored you, These kids trusted you. You were
- 58:03Speaker 1: the priest of the family and they believed it. And
- 58:06Speaker 1: you threw that all away. And maybe it was a
- 58:09Speaker 1: slow decline of character and integrity, I'm not sure. Maybe
- 58:13Speaker 1: it was this Machiavelian instinct that Robin had of just
- 58:17Speaker 1: like slowly getting him to give her his time and allegiance.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Who knows, but at some point he was the what yea?
- 58:25Speaker 1: And really COVID was the culmination of this. It allowed
- 58:27Speaker 1: it really crystallized. It really allowed for him to take
- 58:32Speaker 1: a position that he was going to be with Robin
- 58:34Speaker 1: and nobody else for months on end. And this is
- 58:37Speaker 1: what happened. It's actually sad. So what is your identity now?
- 58:41Speaker 1: So now your identity is Robin's husband. She's my shy,
- 58:45Speaker 1: pretty wife, and I'm a monogamous I'm not a man
- 58:48Speaker 1: of faith. This is your new identity. But I bet
- 58:51Speaker 1: as you stand there in that, it probably rings pretty hollow.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it probably doesn't feel as good to wear
- 58:58Speaker 1: this identity as the identity that you used to have,
- 59:00Speaker 1: which also came with meaning and purpose and love and family.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Like you don't have that to the extent that you did.
- 59:06Speaker 1: You don't have that anymore.
- 59:07Speaker 2: No, And that's why you get these nice fancy cars.
- 59:10Speaker 1: That's why you have all this artwork.
- 59:11Speaker 2: That's why you have a two million dollar mansion that
- 59:13Speaker 2: you just bought, because that you think will suffice and
- 59:18Speaker 2: that will help fill the void within you. But it's
- 59:21Speaker 2: not going to because the void is your family and
- 59:24Speaker 2: this life that you created and all of these wives,
- 59:27Speaker 2: like you could have broken up with all of them amicably.
- 59:30Speaker 2: You could have done this years ago and said like, look,
- 59:33Speaker 2: I found my soulmate. And we've said this before. I
- 59:35Speaker 2: found my soulmate in Robin. I want you guys to
- 59:38Speaker 2: live your own life and find your own soulmates. I
- 59:40Speaker 2: want you guys to be happy. Let's break up amicably,
- 59:42Speaker 2: and then I could still have my relationships with all
- 59:44Speaker 2: of my kids and grandkids. But no, you destroyed it all.
- 59:48Speaker 2: And now where are you left? With a big house
- 59:50Speaker 2: filled with a bunch of crap Dickensian villages and shitty
- 59:54Speaker 2: artwork that you're gonna inevitably have to sell because I
- 59:57Speaker 2: don't know how you're gonna make any money. Now. Nobody
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: wants to see you on TV. Everybody fucking hates you
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: and your shiny and pretty wife. So what are you
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: gonna do? Drink and get bald?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Balder yeah, balder Yeah. Those curls were working in that
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Brejuan Utah scene where he was crying. I'm just like,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: all they could look at, what's this balding pate.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: I'm like, honey.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: You're falling apart. Yeah, everybody gets older, and it's what's
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: important to you that you choose to hang on to.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: And you made your choice, and this is your bed.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Now get in it and lie down, your dirty dog,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: lie in your bed.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: And that's the thing too, Like when you're getting older,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: like don't you want to have a life with all
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: of these beautiful kids and beautiful grandkids. I mean, that's
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: like such a plentiful, beautiful, amazing thing. You're always nagging
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: me to have kids because you're like, oh wow, grand babies, yes,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: and you're always telling me you want five kids, and
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: that's great. Like that's what you want, is what I'm
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: trying to say. Like, when you get to a point
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: in your life natural to want that, you want family,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: You want people around you, like and you want to
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: look at like your legacy, like what you've what you're
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: gonna leave behind? You know, now you have your.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Vampire children, it's like freaking vampire why I mean for real, Yeah,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: that's a miserable life. I think so as well. And
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: so it's on a meta level, I can feel a
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: tinge of like compassion for him, like, wow, look at
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: what you've lost, right, Look what you've left behind. Look
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: at what is in the wake of this thing that
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: you did. Like that's harsh, I can only imagine, Like,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and hopefully over time you will have an instinct to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: self start and to want to do some work on
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: yourself so you can figure out why you did the
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: thing that you did and then learn how you might
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: be able to make amends with the people who are
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: still willing to entertain you right anyway, because guess what,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: they don't owe you forgiveness. Maddie doesn't owe you her
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: time or any space to hear you talk. Nobody owes
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you any of that. Yeah, and so you're gonna have
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: to do the inner work, have to demonstrate this change,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and maybe people will come around, maybe they won't. I
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: don't think he's got it in him. No, I don't
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: think he's either.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: That is so much work to have to do and
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: so much repairing that you have to do with all
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: of these relationships. I mean, he has just shot all
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: over everybody for the last several years. I mean, like
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: calling his kid's assholes and calling Maddie a gossip and toxic.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: It's like, dude, again to yourself a grave?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: How do you recover from that? Like? How do you
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: don't see it happening?
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I don't either, especially when it's all on national TV.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: But you know whatever, So as he's crying to marry,
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Mary's like it didn't have to be this way, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: she's like so confounded that he's expressing any emotion, which
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: I get because it's like he has been shitting on
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Mary in particular for the last several years, and it
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: really didn't have to be this way, especially with Mary
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: because she still wants that pencil dick for some reason.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: But in this moment they hug and he says, it's
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: the end of an era, and I mean it really is,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: like this is the final final, like this is they're done.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: It's done, the family's done, the family is done. All
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: you can do is rebuild something new that's not going
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: to look the same, and you're gonna have to get
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: right with it exactly yep. And then we get into
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: the preview, which looks pretty meaty okay, looks pretty good.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: So Cody's angrily cutting down trees. I don't know, because
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: he's a man. He's got to do manly. That's straight stuff.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: On Coyote Pass, right, Like is he trying to develop
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: the land I don't know, still hasn't paid off and
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: probably will never build upon because it's got bad vibes.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't understand what a manly man
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: And Robin's yelling at him and he's like, it's done
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: safe and he throws the chainsaw like a big fuck
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: dumb baby. And then we have Mary's friends who we've
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: never seen before telling her that Cody only ever wanted
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Robin since the day he married her, which is like, yeah,
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: we've been saying this for years. Christine goes wedding dress shopping.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: And we sell to her vagina, We see her vagina.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I don't need this, I don't want this.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: No, I never asked for this, absolutely not. And then
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: we have Cody going on a Valentine's Day date with Robin,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: and Robin's like, is it weird because it's just with me?
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: As if it hasn't always been with.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Her last You're taking all three of you out for
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Valentine never it's always been separate. What are you talking about?
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: You Google?
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and like when does this happen? Like when is
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: this Valentine's Day?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Well, because Christine gets proposed to in April of twenty
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: twenty twenty week.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and so.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Are we going back to Valentine's Day of twenty twenty three?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Are we jumping timelines again? Or are we are we
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: talking about twenty twenty four Valentine's where everybody's already long gone.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I don't know, honey, doesn't make any It doesn't make
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: any sense.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: And then we have Janelle leaving flag Staff and she's
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: not telling Cody. She's like peace out.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I love that, so good. What a boss move.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: And David drives the truck for her, which is also
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: a boss move.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: And then David, Christine and Janelle are doing shots yeah,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: which I love. Shot shots, shots shots, shot shots, yes, everybody.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: And then Mary's dating apparently like do you get to
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: see you date anybody?
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Episode? Where does that get us to in the timeline?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Because when did she start dating Amos? Everybody? I think
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: it was the end of twenty twenty three, early twenty
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: twenty four, I think, right, didn't she break up with
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Amos like early twenty twenty four? I don't know.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: I think all blurring.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I think we're speeding into the current day though, you're hoping.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I think we're getting there.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm really hoping because this shit, this jump in
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: time dies is too much. And then we have Janelle
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: getting a lawyer for the Coyote Past stuff and she's
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: talking to Mary about it, which I'm like, yes, and
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Mary says she wants her money from Coyote Pass as well.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I mean, they're okay, tw right of one one piece property. Okay, Mary,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: I know, but maybe that's what the secret project is
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: between Janelle and Mary Helpe. So maybe they're both gonna
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: lawyer up.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Oh my god, I hope so.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: And then we have Cody and Robin camping on Coyote
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Pass with their vampire children, talking about their dream that's ending.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: And this is where Cody says, this is the end
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: of this family as we know it.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Good.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm glad you're finally catching up. And then somebody
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: gets thrown off of an eighteen.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: It looks like it's Robin. Is Robin ever it is,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: it's a female and they're wearing purple. I think you
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: can't do that. What you can't You can't revel in
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: somebody else's misfortune. That's how you've fallen upon yourself. Aren't
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: you superstitious in the lea?
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: But when it's a demon of a person.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. I'm not reveling.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: If it's Robin, that's it.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: We don't anybody. I hope she's not hurt horse, but
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: I do think I do think Robin was tossed from
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: the ATV, which is interesting because that's what happened with
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Dayton that's how Dayton hurt his all. And Dayton was
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: with Cody at the time, and I'm just like very
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: curious as to why she'd get on an ATV with Cody.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe they're haven't trying to have fun
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: on Coyote Pass. Maybe, But if it is, Robin.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Kara's a no, you can't say that.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: I know It's fine whatever.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: All right? Is there anything else that we need to
