- 6:46[SPEAKER_06]: but Tom Walker and Larry Gordon.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_06]: I thought it was interesting.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_06]: I know we've got a couple of listeners.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't like that old stuff and everything.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_06]: People like to talk about the way waterchown was and we appreciate them coming in and taking the time.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_06]: And thanks to former councilman, Pat Henkey for setting me out up for us.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't, I didn't let Pat speak or anything.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_06]: He's too controversial.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_06]: But in any event, it was nice of him to set that up for us.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_06]: And it was a good conversation.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_06]: There you go.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_06]: So I hope they did get a look at that fountain before they leave town.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_06]: What's this about that cracker barrel restaurant changing its logo, getting rid of the old man and the overalls.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_06]: But his hand out a barrel and change that.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_06]: People don't like it.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_06]: Who cares what the logo is?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_06]: I've never been a cracker barrel.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_06]: I hear the food's good.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_06]: It's what they call Comfort Food, which means thick.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of sauces.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, macronium cheese type food.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_06]: Comfort food, yeah.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_06]: But they're changing their logo.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_06]: Not gonna affect my life.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe a good little local store, a little vocat for the news.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know, something, of course.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_06]: Court of Appeals, if a Democrat can't win the New York Court of Appeals, and you know it's a bad case, Tisch James, two-mail, two-pale, two-stale-tish, got her ass-wipped in the Court of Appeals.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_06]: Nine Democratic Judges, all Cuomo and Huckle and whatever appointees, and her big civil judgment that she obtained last year of over three hundred million dollars, then it grew, but with interest to five hundred million tossed.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_06]: and Trump still has to appeal the core issue, but that was, remember that crazy judge they had?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_06]: Talk about two male, two pale and two stale.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_06]: Holy cow.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_06]: But the one you said that, well, the argument was Trump overstated the value of his property to get loans.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we all have gone to the bank to get loans.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_06]: The banks are happy to give it to you if there are assessment of the value is to their liking.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_06]: And I think claiming that Mara Lagos worth eighteen million.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I don't have to be a real estate guru.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, it's worth more than that.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, it was just James trying to be a big hero to some of our people and our audience.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, you look at that and say, that could be me.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_06]: You know, if they were so inclined, we're not big potatoes and all this, so it doesn't matter.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, they count.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, tish there.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_06]: But you know what?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_06]: You'll all go out and vote for again next year.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_06]: If they did endorsements at times, it's still endorser.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, it just goes on and on.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_06]: Now, that's the same two streams of cities looking to for a legal opinion.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure you want to seek it out there, but I guess so.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_06]: You never know.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_06]: Um, let's see.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the judge in that case had a daughter that made million.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_06]: Well, she was a Democratic consultant.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_06]: She had a stake in it.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_06]: He had a stake in it.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_06]: They wanted to dust up Trump last year.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: You remember law fair, the fanny, whatever the name was, down in Georgia, who was bang in the other prosecutor.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_06]: Incidentally, speaking of infidelity, somebody was telling me a story yesterday.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I don't even know what the people are involved ever.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_06]: It was somebody who was talking about how many is conquest, right?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_06]: Raging about his conquest.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and then he said to me, it was one that, you know, she took him home to do the dirty and before they got busy, she turned off the router, so her husband wouldn't have access to the security cameras.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_06]: He was overseas.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_06]: That's thinking ahead.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_06]: That's, that's an on-the-ball person there.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_06]: So always remember, you don't know, in this day in Asia, thirty years ago, I remember one time one of our listeners told me a story about how he was intimate with a woman.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_06]: He was in bed with her.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and then he looked over at the nightstand and there was a picture of a city cop there.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_06]: And that sense he got away with it, but what if the back bend didn't have security cameras and all that?
- 11:18[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be careful now, so that's a good tip.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_06]: Turn the router off.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_06]: That means none of that stuff works anymore.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_06]: Alrighty, let's see other things to weather.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_06]: Got cool for a little bit, but we got a couple of picked in days coming up.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_06]: Nice weekend until we get some rain maybe on Saturday and a little bit of cooling as you head into next week.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it doesn't last forever, doesn't.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_06]: But so far it's been a very good summer.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_06]: Kind of summer when the blondes are on the bow of those cigarette boats and they guys with the chains on or driving them and everybody's on their way to wherever they go.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_06]: Have we got to
- 12:08[SPEAKER_06]: I haven't heard from Council candidate Monaco yet.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_06]: He said he's going to get back to me.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_06]: I did have the other three lined up for interviews on the hotline.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_06]: I'll warn you because some of you don't like my interview style.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_06]: I get that.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_06]: But Mr. Velasquez, Anthony Velasquez, will be on Tuesday the second, right after Labor Day.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_06]: And then Mr. Ozborn is the next day on the third.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_06]: and Mr. Garrett Brad is on Tuesday the night.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_06]: And somewhere in that range of days, we're going to try to squeeze Mr. Monica.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_06]: If he wants to, I assume he will.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, I just want to give the hotline cognizante a, you know, a little listen to the candidate.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_06]: You haven't heard from him in a while.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_06]: The primary was months ago.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, just making it sort of an official kick off after that.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know, you'll have a couple of debates probably in October, and I'm sure Glenn's got one planned and all of that.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_06]: So we'll go with that.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, Ronnie Air.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_05]: Good afternoon Jeff.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_05]: Today's water town daily times on the editorial page had a very thought-provoking editorial that's labeled our dangerous car crashes perpetuated by cannabis.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: And it's an editorial that's
- 13:28[SPEAKER_05]: very thought-provoking I thought and it makes me think about it was starting about two years ago that I started to notice marijuana the smell of marijuana coming from cars when you're in traffic you know you're at the stop lighter in the parking lotters you can smell the marijuana coming from the car next to is about two years ago they started noticing this and
- 13:56[SPEAKER_05]: uh... then i got the thinking maybe uh... there one of the reasons one of the reasons that we see so many people who are pedestrians walking right out into traffic without the stone without any response to the traffic around them maybe they're all they're high on something
- 14:15[SPEAKER_05]: article, it'll make you really think about what's going on in our society and it adds to something a question just to what we're observing and we don't know what's causing it.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_05]: So I encourage everyone to read today's editorial page.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to work there at the Center for Community Broadcasting.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: It only raises a good point.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, but on the other hand, if you were sitting in your car with a beer in your hand, you'd be a criminal, but you're smoking a dooby.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: Well,
- 14:46[SPEAKER_06]: That's more or less all considered okay.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_06]: Now, whether there's impairs or judgment in different ways, I don't know.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_06]: I can't speak to that.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_06]: Any stoneers out there want to comment?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you never see any in the parade of DWI arrest, you never see anybody arrested for
- 15:12[SPEAKER_06]: under the intoxication of whatever of weed.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess it's more or less legal, isn't it?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_06]: And just a little buzz or something, you know, just relaxes, you might make you stuff like that, make sure you're a better driver because you're not so tense.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_06]: So, there you go.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't really know much about the issue or so.
- 15:34[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_06]: All I know is you can, it pretty pervasive now.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: Now, used to be people, they talk about, we have had some weed, you know, real secretively, but now it's no big deal.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know, you can do it anywhere, too, can you?
- 15:53[SPEAKER_06]: I always have to wonder, can I stop somebody from smoking weed on my property?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, I don't know, because, you know, these got to their rights.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_06]: So we'll see, we'll see.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_06]: Well, anyway, seven, five, five, five, twelve, forty is our phone number.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'd like to see?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'd like to see, like, I'm not in favor of cigarette smoking.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_06]: It is bad for you.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_06]: But some people do smoke.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, I see one older gentleman every day, he comes down, Pearl Street, looking around, throws up on our deck on the side of the building and looks in the sand, buckets, and see if there's any butts there with any
- 16:36[SPEAKER_06]: any juice left in them, any tobacco left in them.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_06]: And we try to get them cleaned out and stuff.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_06]: I feel so sad.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, if the county or something would go out and buy like in bulk, a few thousand packs of those, you know, you can get it for five bucks a pack now, right here in the city, cigarettes, and then just give them to these people.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: So they don't have to, that indignity doesn't have to be followed.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_06]: I know it's not right.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_06]: What they're doing, I know smoking is not good for you, but
- 17:05[SPEAKER_06]: You know, just as you have, like, methadone and stuff for heroin addicts, they should really, you know, because just seeing them going around picking through trash cans for an unexpired cigarette or a, you know, I don't know.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_06]: What do you think of that?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_06]: It's all wrapped into the whole homeless situation, too.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's all one big issue, one big issue.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_06]: So, seven, five, five, twelve, forty are from number.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_06]: If you'd like to be on the show of shows, you tip people who are like it at a window at a drive through like a dunk and donuts or McDonald's or something.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_06]: Or even if you're inside at the counter.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_06]: And we'll just look at that U.S.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_06]: A today is reporting on that problem at Stefaniacat up in plaatsburg.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully that's blowing over.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_06]: We told you about the guy who did get is going to get the nominee.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_06]: The extruper is going to get the nomination for the assembly seat up there.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_06]: It hasn't.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_06]: There's a progression of news.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_06]: It comes very slowly down to eleven.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_06]: It'll be here in a couple days, only.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, that topic of the D, you know, marijuana trying just FYI for everybody driving under the influence of marijuana like alcohol is illegal in all fifty states.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_16]: It's called marijuana DUI or E, D-W-A-I, driving law ability and care.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_16]: It is, it is in all states.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, what'd you think of that quarter of appeals ruling against this James and old Trump thing?
- 19:01[SPEAKER_06]: That's kind of.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_06]: That's a big setback for your side.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_16]: No.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_16]: No.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_16]: He's lucky because he says that the system is broke.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_16]: It's rigged forever.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_16]: But in this case, it works for him, so I guess it's okay, right?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_06]: Well, he had the money to fight it.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_06]: Most people don't.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_16]: Well, that's the point is, that is the justice of the United States.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's pretty sad if it is.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it is.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_16]: What do you think of him?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_16]: He's going to have a trial again.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_06]: What do you think of his James?
- 19:40[SPEAKER_16]: He's going to be considered again.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_16]: Maybe.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_06]: What do you think of his James?
- 19:46[SPEAKER_16]: I think he's doing a social job.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: So so.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: That's OK.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_16]: Well, she's the attorney general of the state, so I think her record overall is pretty good.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, I don't remember statements like I'm going to get time.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_16]: I'm going to get him.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_16]: That was never my crazy.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know what she thinks of you?
- 20:06[SPEAKER_06]: She thinks you're too male, too pale, and too stale, Danny.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_16]: Well, he thinks she's too black and too black.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, really?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think so.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_16]: No, Trump does not like black strong.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_16]: well-educated women period.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_06]: Well, she went to Howard University, I don't know if that's any good enough.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_06]: No, how do you know that?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_06]: How do you know that?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_06]: All right, you did it in some fact, you have to prove it back.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_06]: Trump doesn't like black, well-educated women.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_06]: That's what you're saying.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_16]: Basically yes.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that's your position.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_06]: Well, why did he say that?
- 20:54[SPEAKER_16]: You go back to the nineteen seventies when he was running things in New York City and had them to put on their application.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_16]: He had to put a letter, see at the top of it when their application was going through and you know what's the sea stood for?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_06]: Collard?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_16]: I should actually write.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_16]: He was penalized by the federal government in the struggle in nineteen seventy three.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_16]: I think it's seventy three or seventy four.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_20]: Yeah.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_16]: they were very busy then and he's very basically is right now.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_16]: How many of my audiences are serving in the Trump administration?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_06]: Well, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, he looked fairly black last time I saw him.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you've got a variety of women in there.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_06]: You've got
- 21:44[SPEAKER_06]: that guy who's in charge of civil rights the civil rights attorney black gentlemen used to be on TV a lot.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know I might see a fair number.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_06]: I mean I listen I'm all for diversity and everything but some you know if you're out to hire the best people you can get you can't that doesn't always mean quarters.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_16]: I'm surprised you said you're on for a diversity because Mr. Trump is against the
- 22:07[SPEAKER_06]: No, well, I'm not in favor.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_16]: That's why he's went after the university because they're implementing it.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, policy.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_06]: I think I, you know, you misunderstand me.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't say I was in favor of these DEI policies.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_06]: I, the general concept of diversity of being opened to all.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_16]: That's what the, that's what the DEI, and that's quote is.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_16]: That's what the first one is.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_16]: Diversity, equity, and I'll be able to, I stay in short.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, doesn't.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_16]: He's against that.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_16]: That's why he's going after all the universities that have penalized them, take away government funds.
- 22:41[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:41[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:42[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:43[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:44[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:44[UNKNOWN]: And they don't like that.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_06]: And they don't like that.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_16]: And they don't like that.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_16]: And they
- 23:07[SPEAKER_06]: I thought Jake could come over and say, you know, Mr. Francis, let me take you over there to see the beautiful job I did on this house.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't know.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_16]: I just want to toss that out there.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_16]: I want to go to legal office.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_06]: And black, strong black women, well educated, also.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_06]: It's okay.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_06]: All righty.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_06]: All righty.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: All righty.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, who would you put in that category?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how well-educated Tish is.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_06]: She tells you that truth, but she drew a big crowd up in Clayton a couple weeks ago.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yep, they had Auburn Clayton and she also visited the Sacket's Arbor, the meet with the school superintendent.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_06]: So, I mean, I'll do that a little too much about her.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I was, listen, you always like it.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_06]: somebody like that when she's goring your the oxywant gourd when she went after Cuomo a lot of New Yorkers were happy with that when she ran for office on a platform if I'm going to get Trump I don't know that's kind of dangerous that leads to suspicion that it could happen to any of us hmm now what have we got for text messages coming in here um somebody says shut that no I'm not going to shut them up
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: Another person says condoms and cigarettes at non-profit for hand out.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's a good thing.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good thing.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, really, you know, the condoms and I don't know if they'd use them, but you really want people who are pushing a shopping guard around reproducing.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's a good idea.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody said, do you have diversity at the Pearl Street pub?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we have over the years.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_06]: If you're asking if we had blacks, probably four or five over the years, employees, to tell you the truth, you know, you select and you're open about selection from the pool available.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_06]: And you don't dictate what that pool necessarily is.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_06]: So people say, well, why don't you have this or that?
- 25:20[SPEAKER_06]: Well, sure you'd like to have one of everything, but you know, I can find it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_06]: So that's that.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_06]: Um, let's see somebody checks to then.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_06]: I don't what we Goldberg, I don't care about that.
- 25:40[UNKNOWN]: Hmm.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it'd be nice if we could get past the race thing, but we don't.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_06]: And Danny's statement that Trump hates all black women who went to college.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_06]: That's not true.

- 31:24[SPEAKER_06]: Well, what'd she do?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, people go to these things on their own foolish and I don't think you should be held there against do will or every pocket picked.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's a different story.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, the next mayor of New York says he wants to make prostitution legal.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_06]: And really, what are they out for?
- 31:43[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's anti-Asian biases, what I think it is on the part of the state.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_06]: They don't like that people are successful.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_06]: They'd rather have them on welfare in New York.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_06]: So they're out making some money, enterprising business people, and only people who go there are by their own choice.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_06]: But they apparently did make it a rest there, but yeah, that one in water town, they didn't.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, make sure, I still know all the, like all the people I know, the mean girls and stuff were like to go to the lucky spot.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_06]: They still know, they don't, they don't care.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_06]: They're not worried.

- 32:36[SPEAKER_06]: You know, the water town meme page.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's been so controversial.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_06]: That was it wasn't that at the heart of all of this big probe that somebody was willing to pay somebody to tell them who the mean page was and that was considered.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_06]: Talk to be a bribe by somebody on.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_06]: It really wasn't.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_06]: But anyway, yeah, I got to look up the water town meme page.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_06]: Well, before I get to that on Facebook, we've been telling you about that porch light restaurant, the nice young lady running that.

- 34:06[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's got to be tough.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_06]: What do you charge for a Western sandwich?
- 34:10[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_06]: I have no idea.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_06]: And the alternate newscaster, the kind of the John Moore of the underworld here, Jesse Roberts, has got her, he's out there talking, reading the police plotter on the air.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_06]: And we were play a little for you, but you got to be careful with Jesse, because sometimes she says things that are a little off.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_06]: Not a bad person, necessarily, but a little bit off.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_06]: So we were careful with that.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_06]: City of Watertown meme page.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_06]: Oh no, they got some new stuff.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_06]: Man, what do we got?

- 40:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, sometimes law and signs are just they are cluttering up the landscape.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_06]: Other times, you know, if they're in front of the houses of influencers, or do we have influencers?
- 40:12[SPEAKER_06]: And all of that, like if you, I noticed Mr. Garrett brought us signs in front of,
- 40:18[SPEAKER_06]: the smiths their medical building as well as their house on kai so we know where where his is I've got in front of my place just right in the corner there I haven't really got any place to put it on a lot but it's a Velasquez sign and Councilwoman Reseros still has a Reseros sign at her house I and a few other ones around town we wonder what she's up to
- 40:44[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_06]: The other ones I see one here and there and.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_06]: Fewer than I did before, so they're going to have to get some more and put them out, but I don't know who's in front of.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_06]: Who Mayor Butler has for if he has a long sign out, I don't know if he does.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_06]: But in any event, you know, it's an interesting thing, you know, to see who's supporting who.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's like, well, certainly in the presidential year, find out all your city council members or council voters or some or most of them, right?
- 41:22[SPEAKER_06]: Holy cow, that's something.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_06]: Um, seven, five, five, twelve, forty the phone number.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_06]: We were talking there about, are you supposed to tip somebody at a, um, like a drive through window or a counter restaurant like a McDonald's?
- 41:40[SPEAKER_06]: And New York restaurant association backs, pools, tips for counter-services.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_06]: We've got to have rules for that.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_06]: Who's how it works in my mind?
- 41:47[SPEAKER_06]: You hand me a piece of paper with Abe Lincoln's picture on it.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_06]: I say thank you.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_06]: What about my pocket?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_06]: That's how it works.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_06]: Easy.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, if you give a buck or two to the person who gave you your doughnut or something, that's great.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how it gets split up, but I don't think it's New York State's business.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_06]: How it does.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_06]: Now, if the management wants to set up some system and maybe they should, that'd be great.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_06]: But it certainly isn't up to New York.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_06]: But if you read this article about pool tips, oh, I was like, well, we've got pool tips of people in the front of the house and the back of the house and nobody cares what New York state says.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_06]: Like I said, you hand me a piece of paper with Andrew Jackson's picture on it and it goes in my pocket.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's that simple.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_06]: That's how it works.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_06]: Same thing with the monalon for you.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_06]: Same thing with me.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_06]: If you cut my hair and I get it and it's, you know, you know, twenty bucks and I give you thirty or whatever I do, that's money in your pocket.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_06]: All this talk about, oh, the state has to regulate that.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_06]: State doesn't know what they're doing.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_06]: I could tip our elected officials too.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_06]: They're underpaid.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_06]: I really don't think there's anything wrong with tipping him.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's always the problem we have is that we want to be so chinsy and probably nothing wrong with it.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_06]: Although I wouldn't do it for a Jackson, it'd have to have a few Benjamin's.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_06]: Stuffed into a potato chip bag.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that was you follow the news.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_06]: That was in the news recently.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if that was the accusation up here.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_06]: when they were making all those accusations.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they put the money in a potato chip bag.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good way to do it.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_06]: Good way to do it.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_06]: Seven, five, five, twelve, forty, the phone number.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_06]: If you'd like to give us a call, you can be on the hotline.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_06]: The show of shows.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_06]: And there's a call coming in, or a text.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_06]: People say they don't like that.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody wanted to know, isn't Garrett Brand's father on the planning board, too?
- 44:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, he is.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know who's on the planning board anymore.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_06]: I do know I think they have damn to two damn much power.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_06]: No, that's about it for tax messages.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_06]: Well, anyway, we'll see.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_06]: We'll try to keep track of who has signs up where, so whether that means anything.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_06]: Does it influence you?
- 44:38[SPEAKER_06]: I always thought signs were a way, especially a new candidate to get the name out there.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but I don't know.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_06]: Well, over in regional politics, they see that incident over in Platsburg, where Congresswoman Stefanik got booed.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know whether it was by a bunch of Democrats or
- 45:02[SPEAKER_06]: and Tifa or whether it was who it was, but that's made national news.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, she's got to announce for Governor and get out of local politics.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_06]: And she should thank her lucky star.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_06]: She got out of that situation where this little damage as she did up there because of that her endorsing who she endorsed was only going to spell trouble for her on a Google editorial campaign.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_06]: So she's lucky to have gotten out of there.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to do a podcast.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_06]: I think later today with Ross Finley.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_06]: So we can talk about it and you can enjoy the combined wisdom.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_14]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_14]: I hope you can get all your council candidates on the show because your listeners need to ask them some very hard questions.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_14]: What they're going to, what they have to do.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_14]: What they're going to do next year to
- 46:01[SPEAKER_14]: lower the budget deficit.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_14]: And that means numbers just to get the tax rate down.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_14]: We're not talking about a couple sidewalks or a snow plow or something like that.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_14]: That's we're way beyond that now.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_14]: We both know that we're going to have to make some hard decisions.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_06]: Well, there doesn't seem to be an appetite for that.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_14]: No, there isn't an appetite for that.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_14]: You're exactly right.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_14]: but that and I'd like to know that before I mean they're higher and more people all the time.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_06]: I see ads all over.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_14]: I spoke on a lot of council meetings.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_14]: They said, look, I'm not here to cut somebody's livelihood.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_14]: I said, for God's sake, you don't even have the courtesy for the taxpayers to have a job, employment freeze for a while.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_14]: So if you're looking for five positions in the old days, I remember the old council days.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_14]: twenty thirty forty years ago when you asked for five people you gave me two mm-hmm but you don't give everybody what they want just and try to and try to cut numbers in the spring that they're rushing the cut the cut numbers in the spring in eight days and said no we've got up from this number to that number that's the best we can do well what needs to happen is uh...
- 47:22[SPEAKER_06]: Councilor council members elect whoever they are would need to tell them out in man there you're gonna propose a budget next winter and It's gonna have real cuts and if we want to restore and we'll do that.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, but not not don't don't don't walk in here You know if you walk in here within the twenty percent raise proposed budget You can just walk right out exactly to and that's the city manager hands you that you just hand it right back to say
- 47:52[SPEAKER_06]: I'd had it back and say, you know.
- 47:55[UNKNOWN]: That's right, because that's what it, that's a job, that's what he gets paid for.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_14]: It's not about who we like and who we dislike, it's about what's good for the city water, it's not what we can afford.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_14]: The city can no longer afford that.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_14]: And I realize, and like I just said, they don't have the appetite for that.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_14]: Well, if you don't have the appetite for that, maybe that job's not, you know, best suited for you.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_06]: Not for you, yeah.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's why that's why we're having a mind here because they won't get asked at anywhere else.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_20]: Exactly.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_20]: Well, it sounds good.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_20]: Thanks a lot.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_06]: We'll take time out for a message.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_06]: We right back.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_06]: Whoa.

- 54:25[SPEAKER_06]: Well, thank you.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_06]: Well, thank you.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_05]: Hello, I believe a crack or a barrel should have been forced to change your name also.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, racist.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I see your point there.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think it's racist, but it's, I've never eaten there.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_06]: I hear it's good food.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_06]: And I'll have to get over there one of these days.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_06]: Okay?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_06]: All right, thanks a lot sir.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_06]: Already, seven, five, five, twelve, forty the phone number if you'd like to give us a call if you've uh, yeah.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_06]: This cracker barrel changing its logo to delete the old man in the overalls and the barrel is at a big deal.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_06]: You know, they talk about it on Fox news, but they get upset about some things there that they don't elsewhere.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't really know if it's a big deal or not.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_06]: Good afternoon around the air.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, what's up?
- 55:26[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, I'm glad they're late.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_15]: He gave us a point of message.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_15]: I'm going to go there for the concert at the church.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_15]: It's a great time.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it isn't that amazing that that woman is so smart.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_06]: She knows she just called this number and she can deliver her message free of charge to a pretty pretty good chunk of the community and all of these brilliant marketing professionals we have around town.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_06]: Don't understand that.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying this reaches everybody.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_06]: It should contact everybody.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, there's other shows and other media, but, you know, this is free me, yeah.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_15]: He has a great time, but a great channel that's what you've done.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_15]: They've got to make it out when you cook up your food.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_15]: So we've done it.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_15]: And I'm going to have a good day tomorrow.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know if I want to see some minutes or not, but I'm going on the two nations that are going to say I'm going to go see both of them.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_06]: Well, God, are you going to take Samantha?
- 56:26[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_15]: No.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_15]: You know, somebody gave me.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody gave me a couple of passes to give to her for boat tours, but I don't really know.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's, I don't know how to get a hold of her, even.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I wouldn't even know if I saw it, but if I heard it speak, I would recognize his voice.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_15]: So, as I see you, I will say it alone.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, thank you so much.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_06]: Here's your typical water town person texting in to say, isn't there a noise ordinance in water town?
- 57:12[SPEAKER_06]: Stop.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_06]: That little concert tonight will provide enjoyment for many people.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_06]: And as a great thing, at six, thirty at Trinity Church on Sherman Street,
- 57:22[SPEAKER_06]: Wouldn't hurt any of you to be near a church even if it don't go inside.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_19]: Hmm.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody wrote in so if we get rid of the cracker barrel logo, do we need to read society of every photo of TR when he went west?
- 57:36[SPEAKER_06]: Do we walk away from the history of the bad lands?
- 57:38[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, these are deep questions.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_06]: I never even bend to the place.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to find somebody who can tell me what if they like it.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_19]: Hmm.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_06]: So, I don't know, it's somebody else texted and isn't what Stefana did in Clinton County the same when she bullied Dohini from running for state Senate when Richie retired.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, it's an idea that regional Kingmaker, Queenmaker, I don't know, I would
- 58:16[SPEAKER_06]: I would say, you know, not to get in the middle of that stuff.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_06]: I think, you know, somebody talks about, don't he?
- 58:21[SPEAKER_06]: We talked about earlier this year, but I think when you look at this, NYU, twenty one thing, he might be their, their best shot next year because they're, they're so divided and they, you know, they're some like, oh, we can't do that person or can't do that one.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_06]: He might, I think you'll see him back in the mix.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_06]: But after you do it, you're on the air.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_06]: There she is.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_17]: I was listening to the show, but I was driving by to come over.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_06]: Are you, we only have a short time left.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_06]: What do you want to say?
- 58:53[SPEAKER_17]: Did you have a couple of passes for something for me?
- 59:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I got it.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_06]: I think I got out in my car somewhere.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_06]: I'll have to look for him.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_17]: You're cute.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_17]: Um, are you doing the show tomorrow?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but um,
- 59:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, of course I am, but can't come here.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have visitors.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have our visitors during the show, so.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, dear, what happened?
- 59:23[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we just don't, you know?
- 59:24[SPEAKER_06]: Security reasons.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_06]: We're like City Hall.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, are you okay?
- 59:29[SPEAKER_06]: I'm scared of terrorists.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_06]: So, all right, I'll see if they're in my car and I'll announce it tomorrow.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_17]: Okay, then what should I do?
- 59:38[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we'll figure that out tomorrow about a time today.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, thank you.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_06]: Bye now.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_06]: That's our show of shows for today.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_06]: Samantha heard the word free and she was on it.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_06]: She's on it.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we'll try to get that squared away with her.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_06]: And this is A. I'm trouble for the WATN Watertown, New York.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_06]: The time on a clock.
