- 0:00You've joined us. For a series.
- 0:02On the First World War part, through a World War One, as I
- 0:05like to call it. Well, I mean, as a story in my
- 0:09own analysis shows that Austria Hungary were masters of their
- 0:13own destiny during those chaotic weeks in July 1914.
- 0:18They weren't going to be dissuaded from going to war with
- 0:20Serbia. Johnny, what do you like to call
- 0:22it? Well, I prefer the First World
- 0:24War because World War One makes the sound like a movie.
- 0:28So Germany had the marriage of an 1871 out of the US agencies
- 0:32of war, intellectualism and ambition.
- 0:36So her military strength, her Prussian traditions, her
- 0:39geographical position and her large empire or grown empire
- 0:44would prove to be of alarming import to the Western powers.
- 0:47But, well, it was a movie in some ways for.
- 0:50Me. It's what led to the First World
- 0:53War, Nationalism, Pan Slavism and the threat to the Austell
- 0:58Hungarian Empire, primarily in the East.
- 1:03It was so long ago it may as well have been a movie.
- 1:06You could see. Again without that moment, then
- 1:09the. First World.
- 1:10War does not happen. That is complete nonsense.
- 1:14That is complete and utter nonsense, yes.
- 1:16But if we're calling it World War One, that suggested that
- 1:20that at the end of the First World War that there definitely
- 1:23was going to be a World War Two. There occurs the Serbian state
- 1:27of complicity in the crime and they wanted the removal of
- 1:32certain army personnel, they wanted the crash restricted,
- 1:38they wanted certain nationalist groups destroyed in Serbia and
- 1:42even the eradication of literature deemed to be negative
- 1:46to the Austro Hungarian Empire removed from Serbian schools.
- 1:51It all seems pretty reasonable to me.
- 1:53Not at all. There was a great.
- 1:54Sequel, like a sequel, was inevitable.
- 1:57His subsequent murder by Prince, one of the seven conspirators on
- 2:01the ground that day, is a defining moment in world
- 2:04history. It was not, however, the cause
- 2:06of the First World War. Hopefully we get to the trilogy
- 2:09soon. The causes of the debated since
- 2:13the end of the war in 1918, and they'll still be debating at 100
- 2:18to 400 years from now.
