- 0:08Speaker 1: my brother, my brother, Good to see you man always likewise,
- 0:12Speaker 1: Survivor's Remorse is. Ah, that's a deep title, man, And
- 0:17Speaker 1: it's something that a lot of people go through. You
- 0:19Speaker 1: know when you come from certain backgrounds and you know,
- 0:21Speaker 1: you learn, you learn or you lose people in your
- 0:23Speaker 1: life to the streets to other things, like kind of
- 0:26Speaker 1: dive into let's just kick it off, man, dive into
- 0:28Speaker 1: Survivor's Remorse, Bro, Survivors Remorse. Man for me is you know,
- 0:33Speaker 1: it's it's deeper than just the album title. Is where
- 0:38Speaker 1: I am mentally in my life, you know what I'm
- 0:39Speaker 1: saying as a man having overcame so much adversity and like,
- 0:46Speaker 1: Bro's crazy because my circumstances when I first started rapping.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Let me just go back to in general, when I
- 0:53Speaker 1: first started rapping, when I first made my first ever rap,
- 0:56Speaker 1: how it wasn't trying to I was the first time
- 1:00Speaker 1: I made a rap, like on some shit. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:04Speaker 1: they'll herb shit. Fifteen fifteen years old, Okay, probably fourteen
- 1:10Speaker 1: fourteen going on fifteen or something like that. I was fourteen,
- 1:13Speaker 1: a freshman of high school, you like fourteen or fifteen.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And when I did that, I wasn't trying to like
- 1:21Speaker 1: become a rapper like my dreams and aspirations was never
- 1:24Speaker 1: to become a rapper, like I want to become this
- 1:26Speaker 1: big superstar and nothing like that. I was rapping trying
- 1:29Speaker 1: to like put on for my hood, be the voice
- 1:32Speaker 1: for my neighborhood, you know what I'm saying, and talk
- 1:35Speaker 1: about what I was feeling, what I was going through,
- 1:37Speaker 1: Like I wasn't. I didn't know what a manager was,
- 1:39Speaker 1: an A and I record label. I didn't know what
- 1:42Speaker 1: none of that was. Bro I didn't know anything about
- 1:44Speaker 1: that for me. Like I just was recording the song
- 1:48Speaker 1: on my on my flip phone over a YouTube beat
- 1:51Speaker 1: and I sent it to my homies for them to hear.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It just picked up naturally,
- 1:55Speaker 1: you know, And I still wasn't. It didn't grasp me,
- 1:59Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I'm saying to say, like me,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you're a kid. I was a kid, you feel me.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And when I started to become a rapper, I was
- 2:06Speaker 1: still a kid, you know. So survivors of morese for
- 2:09Speaker 1: me is coming from that being in the most dangerous neighborhood,
- 2:16Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, one of the most dangerous
- 2:17Speaker 1: neighborhoods in Chicago, and just trying to find a way
- 2:20Speaker 1: to get my thoughts out. You know what I'm saying.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I always knew how to rap. It was just a
- 2:24Speaker 1: way for me to like express what I'm going through
- 2:27Speaker 1: in the hood and for my homies to hear it,
- 2:28Speaker 1: to relate to it, you know what I'm saying. And
- 2:31Speaker 1: to have that and turn it into this and to
- 2:34Speaker 1: be able to overcome death, prison, drug addiction like that,
- 2:42Speaker 1: all of these things and beat g herbal today be
- 2:46Speaker 1: who I am today, you know what I'm saying, And
- 2:49Speaker 1: that's what being a survivor is for me. You know
- 2:51Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I survived my circumstance. I don't never
- 2:55Speaker 1: have to go back to living that way. You feel
- 2:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And the remorse side of it is
- 3:00Speaker 1: everything I lost along the way. You know a lot
- 3:03Speaker 1: of my best friends, my brother, just so much, you know,
- 3:07Speaker 1: just in the thought of so many people that I
- 3:11Speaker 1: love that I actually care about. Still being in poverty,
- 3:14Speaker 1: still being under these circumstances, you know what I'm saying,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and me wanting to help them, Me wanting to show
- 3:19Speaker 1: them this other side of life because I've experienced it,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and understanding that you can't do that for everybody, understanding
- 3:26Speaker 1: that everybody not gonna want that for themselves, you know.
- 3:28Speaker 1: And it's a constant battle, you feel what I'm saying,
- 3:32Speaker 1: like I have to to smile and be charismatic and
- 3:37Speaker 1: do interviews a leader as be a leader, you know
- 3:40Speaker 1: what I'm saying, be a role model for so many
- 3:42Speaker 1: people that look up to me. And I don't get
- 3:44Speaker 1: a chance to really just sit back and reflect on
- 3:48Speaker 1: life or sit back and just you know, feed my
- 3:51Speaker 1: mental stability, you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, and
- 3:54Speaker 1: grieve or whatever the case may be. You know what
- 3:56Speaker 1: I'm saying, I can't really have a bad day all day.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It's no such thing as me really being mad all day.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I've never experienced it for real. You don't have the luxury.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't have the luxury to just be pissed off
- 4:05Speaker 1: all day or be sad all day. I don't have that.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So that's the remorse side of it, you know what
- 4:09Speaker 1: I'm saying, And that's crazy, and I'm blessed to just
- 4:12Speaker 1: be the type of person where I'm not even that
- 4:15Speaker 1: kind of guy, Like, no matter what I'm going through
- 4:17Speaker 1: or how I'm feeling, I'm not gonna ever be mad,
- 4:19Speaker 1: upset all day, angry all day. I don't even understand
- 4:22Speaker 1: how that's possible, right, But people really like that. People
- 4:25Speaker 1: really walk around mad, sad, angry all day because of
- 4:29Speaker 1: what they going through. And I just know I'm blessed
- 4:31Speaker 1: no matter what it is. I don't give a fuck
- 4:33Speaker 1: if I was dead broke. I've experienced enough life to
- 4:35Speaker 1: know that I'm blessed no matter what. I'm alive, my
- 4:38Speaker 1: kid is good, whatever the fuck the case may be.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. So that's survivals of Morse
- 4:42Speaker 1: to me. You know just why I am mentally, you
- 4:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, just trying to create balance for myself.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You feel me, because at the end of the day,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you don't really change. I'm still that same person. And
- 4:54Speaker 1: it's probably the deepest explanation that I've given about the title.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying because I'm still same person.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I'm still that same kid from say knife essence. You
- 5:02Speaker 1: feel me, but I'm gee herbal, I'm a father, I'm
- 5:05Speaker 1: a leader, I'm a philanthropist. I'm so many things where
- 5:11Speaker 1: I can't really dwell on one moment. I just gotta
- 5:14Speaker 1: keep on trying to get better and better. That's survivor's immorse.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I just gotta you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: keep a level playing field. Would you say that when
- 5:23Speaker 1: you get into those mind states where you're very like,
- 5:28Speaker 1: you start thinking about shit like that, do you look
- 5:31Speaker 1: to your kids? It's like the number one way push through.
- 5:35Speaker 1: That's my number one outlet. Yeah, other than like the
- 5:38Speaker 1: studio and you know what I'm saying, just having fun
- 5:41Speaker 1: with the people. I love my family, you know what
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm saying. My girl and shit like that, Like that's
- 5:46Speaker 1: the only piece that I really have. You feel me
- 5:48Speaker 1: when it's smiles, happiness. I don't like argument. I don't
- 5:51Speaker 1: like confrontation because I can't, you know, balance my emotions.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I have to keep my emotions bottled in one place.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So I don't like confrontation. I don't like to, especially
- 6:03Speaker 1: with people that I care about, because I don't want
- 6:04Speaker 1: to release that angle on Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:07Speaker 1: So my only like pure form of like pieces being
- 6:11Speaker 1: on my kids at all bro like period. That's the
- 6:13Speaker 1: only time I could think about nothing in the world
- 6:16Speaker 1: and nothing else matter anger around my kids. All they
- 6:19Speaker 1: want to do is playing. It's mad, right right, right right? Yeah?
- 6:21Speaker 1: And you have your lot like you're living for them now.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, not just yourself, do you? Uh?
- 6:27Speaker 1: You know? I I think that there's something to be said,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Like anybody who's in a leadership uh role, I feel
- 6:36Speaker 1: like a lot of people depend on you. You're a
- 6:39Speaker 1: young leader in hip hop, but it just in terms
- 6:41Speaker 1: of just your life, your life, your personal personal life.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Everybody everyone's looking at you. Every single person in my
- 6:48Speaker 1: life depends on me, whether it's financially, whether it's leadership, emotional,
- 6:52Speaker 1: whatever it is, opportunity emotional. Everybody in my life depends
- 6:56Speaker 1: on me for something. You know what I'm saying. I
- 6:58Speaker 1: depend on them for things too, of course, but it's
- 7:00Speaker 1: a double sided relationship, you know what I'm saying. But
- 7:02Speaker 1: I have the most responsibility, so I gotta carry myself
- 7:05Speaker 1: that way. You know what I'm saying. I can't take
- 7:07Speaker 1: none personal. I gotta go and get this ship because
- 7:09Speaker 1: life is not promised. So while I'm here, I'm gonna
- 7:12Speaker 1: get where I want to be, and I'm gonna put
- 7:14Speaker 1: the people who I want to put in position in position.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take it personally. I'm not gonna take
- 7:19Speaker 1: a day off. I'm not gonna waste the date. This
- 7:21Speaker 1: shit could be taken from me tomorrow. I can't more
- 7:23Speaker 1: than one way it could be taken from there? Do
- 7:26Speaker 1: you like? My thing is, though, is when you're in
- 7:28Speaker 1: that position, because I find myself in a similar position,
- 7:32Speaker 1: Like would you say, because because like who do you
- 7:36Speaker 1: go to? Because everyone's gonna come to you with their bullshit,
- 7:39Speaker 1: Everyone's gonna come to you with their problems. It depends.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I only have a certain few people that I could
- 7:44Speaker 1: really go to, Like if you're having a bad day,
- 7:45Speaker 1: who do you go to? Like? Who? Depends on what
- 7:47Speaker 1: kind of bad day I'm having? Right, Sometimes I go
- 7:50Speaker 1: to nobody. Sometimes I'm just I deal with myself, you know.
- 7:53Speaker 1: So off the top of my head, I know I
- 7:55Speaker 1: could trust my therapist. I could go to her. I
- 7:59Speaker 1: could go to JB for things. I could go to
- 8:03Speaker 1: make for things. I could go to deal for things.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I go to my big
- 8:06Speaker 1: brother for things. I go to my mother for things,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But overall, it's like I
- 8:14Speaker 1: feel like nobody really really understand what I'm going through,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it's like a lot
- 8:20Speaker 1: of times I just keep it pushing, you know. I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 1: they have a therapist is nice though, and also to
- 8:24Speaker 1: be I mean, that's wonderful. Like I could tell her anything,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like, just tell her whatever,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But I feel like, and
- 8:34Speaker 1: it's crazy, the more my life is like picked up
- 8:37Speaker 1: and expanded, I don't it's therapy is not the same
- 8:41Speaker 1: if I'm not in front of her, Like I can't
- 8:43Speaker 1: do zooms and yeah, that shit don't work for me,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because that's something that's like since the pandemic. Yeah, it's
- 8:50Speaker 1: not the same. It don't work. I gotta get in
- 8:52Speaker 1: front of her, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 8:54Speaker 1: like once the pandemic hit, I kind of feel back
- 8:56Speaker 1: off therapy a little bit. It's not the same. Zoom shit,
- 8:59Speaker 1: it's the same thing with interviews. I tell people I
- 9:01Speaker 1: pass on the zoom Yeah, yeah, the zoone interviews zone
- 9:03Speaker 1: play back or whatever unless it's like, you know, yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 1: the necessity of it got to be you know. But
- 9:08Speaker 1: I'm like, look, I'd rather wait till they're in LA
- 9:10Speaker 1: and we across from each other, absolutely, because it's some more. Yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 1: at what point in time, Because I do feel like
- 9:17Speaker 1: everybody should go to therapy, everybody. I don't care who
- 9:20Speaker 1: you are, I don't care if you got Definitely, I
- 9:22Speaker 1: recommend everybody tried. At least everyone should try to have
- 9:26Speaker 1: that outlet where you could unapologetically just express yourself in
- 9:29Speaker 1: the room. Definitely, at least once. How long have you
- 9:31Speaker 1: been going to therapy. I've been going to therapy since
- 9:34Speaker 1: two thousand and eighteen, and that was by choice, Kinada. Yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 1: it was about choice. My lawyer actually recommended it for me.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I really I told my lawyer,
- 9:45Speaker 1: you know, I believe in honesty and transparency. You know
- 9:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I was fighting a gun case in
- 9:49Speaker 1: Chicago is behind me now, and I told my lawyer, like,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I've never really not been in fear of my life
- 9:56Speaker 1: since I was fourteen years old. Crazy way to live
- 9:59Speaker 1: fifteen years old, that's a crazy way to wake up
- 10:01Speaker 1: and living lawyer is a uh he's over at sixty
- 10:07Speaker 1: years old, a black man, you know what I'm saying.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Then he I had two lawyers and I had another lawyer,
- 10:12Speaker 1: black woman. She was in her thirties, you know, forties maybe,
- 10:15Speaker 1: And when I expressed it to him, they just prefer, like,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you need to go to therapy and talk to somebody,
- 10:20Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I did that, and
- 10:21Speaker 1: within like my second third session, she literally went to
- 10:24Speaker 1: court testify for me or you know what I'm saying,
- 10:27Speaker 1: wrote down and sent it to my judge, and I
- 10:29Speaker 1: was literally diagnosed with postraumatic stress disorder. I've never like
- 10:33Speaker 1: still to this day, and that's why I believe the
- 10:36Speaker 1: importance of like security and all that shit, because I'm paranoid, bro,
- 10:40Speaker 1: everywhere I go. I've always been paranoid, and I'm kind
- 10:42Speaker 1: of like easing out of it now, you know as Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but you ease out of it, and then you see
- 10:48Speaker 1: ease out of it. See when your comrades lose their
- 10:51Speaker 1: life and when they left their guard, they snappy right
- 10:54Speaker 1: back into it. That's what I'm saying. And I'm glad
- 10:56Speaker 1: you made that point, because you ease out of it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: The more you experience life, the more you see stuff,
- 11:00Speaker 1: the more you were able to travel, the more you
- 11:02Speaker 1: able to make money. Like I was afraid for my
- 11:05Speaker 1: life in Chicago. I'm moved to LA to get away
- 11:07Speaker 1: from this shit, right, and then you see somebody that
- 11:10Speaker 1: you love, P and B long live my brother. That's
- 11:12Speaker 1: why I'm talking. I love, I love, and you see
- 11:14Speaker 1: these things, nip all these people. You feel what I'm saying.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I came here to get away from that ship. And
- 11:18Speaker 1: then you're like, oh shit, it's still like that out here.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, it's like that everywhere.
- 11:24Speaker 1: This is everywhere, no matter where you are anywhere in
- 11:26Speaker 1: another country, it's like that everywhere. You know what I'm saying.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So the realization of it is you can't put your
- 11:32Speaker 1: guard down, So how do you deal with it? You know?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Like I also think that like you just have to
- 11:38Speaker 1: kind of understand who you are exactly. You're g Herbo,
- 11:43Speaker 1: so you're not gonna like you're gonna take notes if
- 11:47Speaker 1: you're If you're self aware and you're sure of yourself,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think there's certain ways you can move around to her,
- 11:54Speaker 1: like absolutely, if you get cat slipping, like you want
- 11:56Speaker 1: my like you want my iPhone? Guy, I believe that
- 11:58Speaker 1: I take it. I believe it. I'm that type of guy.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I say that all the time. I look at the
- 12:02Speaker 1: camera and say that I don't have no ego. There's
- 12:05Speaker 1: not no gangst the bone in my body. That's gonna
- 12:08Speaker 1: feel funny about. Like, I understand that. You know what
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm saying. God forbid if I'm ever in that situation,
- 12:14Speaker 1: my proud will never getting away of me, getting back
- 12:16Speaker 1: home your family period ever, ever, ever. You can have
- 12:19Speaker 1: that ship. You want the car, I give you my car,
- 12:21Speaker 1: go ahead, take it. I get away from me. It's
- 12:25Speaker 1: gonna be the most calm, robbery, and it's not gonna be.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's gonna be. Don't touch me. Don't touch me, don't
- 12:30Speaker 1: put your hands on me, don't harm my fact, don't
- 12:32Speaker 1: do nothing. You can have this ship. Man, ain't nothing.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It ain't worth it, it it ain't never worth it. I
- 12:36Speaker 1: could get it again more than a million more times.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You can have this ship, bro. You can have my car,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you can have everything you need to get away car,
- 12:45Speaker 1: take this ship. Yeah, there's something about PTSD that obviously
- 12:49Speaker 1: an amazing record of yours that was on your last
- 12:52Speaker 1: album but it's something about PTSD that, you know, we
- 12:56Speaker 1: always think of soldiers having it, people who go to war,
- 12:59Speaker 1: but I think that you know, people who have been
- 13:01Speaker 1: through certain situations or grew up in certain places. It's
- 13:05Speaker 1: very real, man, And it's like have you tried to
- 13:10Speaker 1: Have you ever tried to fuck with mushrooms at all? No?
- 13:12Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie. You know, it's so crazy, bro,
- 13:15Speaker 1: like long ago, I always want to try, Like like
- 13:18Speaker 1: years ago, I always want to try. And I used
- 13:19Speaker 1: to be around juice all the time. You know what
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'm saying. I always wanted to try that shit. I
- 13:23Speaker 1: ain't gonna lie, but I never tried it because I
- 13:26Speaker 1: just feel like I need to be in a set space,
- 13:28Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I be in a set space,
- 13:30Speaker 1: maybe out the country with my family having fun, and
- 13:33Speaker 1: I maybe try that ship. You feel what I'm saying.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But I always wanted to try it. Though when you
- 13:37Speaker 1: do it, you definitely have to have your guard fully
- 13:39Speaker 1: let down. You gotta have you let down in a
- 13:42Speaker 1: fully comfort. My brother, I swear my brother told me
- 13:45Speaker 1: the story. Look this my brother's name G two. He
- 13:48Speaker 1: an artist he signed the South Side. That's my brother
- 13:50Speaker 1: I love. He told me one of his experiences off shrooms,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and this one made me want to try. He came
- 13:55Speaker 1: in the studio. I wasn't there. He came to the
- 13:57Speaker 1: studio crying, like crying, what's wrong? What the fuck you
- 14:01Speaker 1: craand for? And said, I'm happy. He said, I'm crying
- 14:05Speaker 1: because I'm so fucking happy, and that she threw me out.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I laughed, it's so fucking hard. When they told me
- 14:11Speaker 1: their story, and that's what maybe we want the treashrop. Well, like, uh,
- 14:16Speaker 1: there's PTSD in like specifically, yeah, psilocybin, which is the
- 14:22Speaker 1: psychoactive ingredient that are in magic mushrooms, you know whatever.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It cures it for soldiers, soos those yes in Portland.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You heard it so in Portland. But I'm saying, like,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and that's crazy you said that because G two a
- 14:38Speaker 1: street nigga, you know what I'm saying, Like it was
- 14:41Speaker 1: a different feeling for him, like whatever, the psychoedelic Like also,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I mean obviously it depends on how much you eat,
- 14:46Speaker 1: depends on what you know what I mean. But uh
- 14:49Speaker 1: so they just legalized, uh psilocybin therapy in Portland. So
- 14:53Speaker 1: like now like there's like soldiers who will just go
- 14:55Speaker 1: to Portland for like two weeks and they'll go see
- 14:57Speaker 1: a therapist and they do like some psilocybin therapy and man,
- 15:01Speaker 1: it really helps therapists get them, yes, but they get yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 1: and it helps with It really helps with PTSD. Was
- 15:07Speaker 1: just like a form of basically, like Joe Biden just
- 15:09Speaker 1: talked about legalizing it for therapeutic purposes because it helps PTSD.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It's crazy that m d M a therapy, which you said,
- 15:18Speaker 1: I probably have to try it. You have to, man,
- 15:20Speaker 1: and you have to do it. You have to do it,
- 15:22Speaker 1: like make sure the kids ain't around. Yeah, for sure.
- 15:25Speaker 1: You can do it recreationally and like be in the
- 15:27Speaker 1: studio and still kill it, you know, Like I fucking
- 15:30Speaker 1: was Friday Rooms the other night. I never tried it,
- 15:33Speaker 1: but I want to try it though. You gotta do
- 15:35Speaker 1: it if you really want to do it, because I
- 15:37Speaker 1: think if you really like pt first person to ever
- 15:39Speaker 1: really introduced me to shrooms with self side south Side
- 15:42Speaker 1: already he's fucking with everything. Party is that guy when
- 15:49Speaker 1: it comes to just man, he's a great, great guy.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Me and him had one of the funnest interviews I've
- 15:56Speaker 1: ever done. And I appreciated his transparent that's really like
- 15:59Speaker 1: my twin brother. He's a great guy. I want to,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you know, the one thing I haven't done this party
- 16:03Speaker 1: with him, and I'm not sure I want to, but
- 16:04Speaker 1: yeah you you not don't want to, but you don't
- 16:07Speaker 1: know if I'm ready. You don't know if I'm ready.
- 16:09Speaker 1: That nigga literally me and him, like he's hilarious. Man, Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I didn't know what to think. I met him before,
- 16:19Speaker 1: back in the day and he came in for the
- 16:20Speaker 1: interview and he was just like an open book and
- 16:21Speaker 1: he's hilarious, super solid exactly, It's like he's solid, but
- 16:25Speaker 1: it's like it's a whole other like sad to him. Yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 1: they don't make it like they don't make him like him,
- 16:30Speaker 1: make him what I'm telling you, like, that's my that's
- 16:33Speaker 1: my best friend, bro. Like my mother loved him, his
- 16:35Speaker 1: mother loved me. I know his whole family, you know,
- 16:38Speaker 1: my entire amazing you know my whole family. Definitely do
- 16:42Speaker 1: the mushrooms, man, Yeah, I think I think mentally it
- 16:45Speaker 1: will help you. Man, that you should do. But like listen,
- 16:49Speaker 1: look there on the back, like, hey, man, I don't
- 16:51Speaker 1: know why you want to introduce this, y'all. First of all, drug,
- 16:55Speaker 1: it's not a drug. You could do your research on it,
- 16:58Speaker 1: but get an airbnb somewhere in the fucking woods away
- 17:03Speaker 1: from everything exactly, and try eat a ton and then
- 17:07Speaker 1: just sit back and let it. Let the medicine do it.
- 17:10Speaker 1: But you know this so crazy because my mind automatically,
- 17:14Speaker 1: Like I'm a thinker, bro, My mind is like all
- 17:17Speaker 1: over the place, Like literally, I think about sober. I
- 17:21Speaker 1: think about every single obstacle in my life. I think about, Okay,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I make this decision, it's gonna affect this person, this
- 17:27Speaker 1: person is then you're am I cool with that? All right?
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm cool with that. I'm gonna do it. You feel
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's how I think automatically, So I SMS gonna open
- 17:35Speaker 1: my shit up a different way, like even the smallest
- 17:37Speaker 1: thing like weed. When I used to smoke weed, bro, Yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I used to think differently, you know. You know what
- 17:42Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like when I drink liquor, I think differently.
- 17:45Speaker 1: But I'm a thinker. You know. I never act off emotion. Mushrooms,
- 17:50Speaker 1: things a certain way increase exactly. And I've heard that
- 17:53Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. I'm a natural thinker, so I
- 17:56Speaker 1: can only imagine what my mind is going to do
- 17:58Speaker 1: if I take a shroom. I got you, man, I
- 18:01Speaker 1: own a gummy company, So I'm gonna hook you up.
- 18:02Speaker 1: We're gonna fuck around. I'm gonna hit you. I'm gonna
- 18:04Speaker 1: hit you about it after I try, and I'm gonna
- 18:06Speaker 1: call you. You You want to be the first person I call, like, hey, bro,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'll funk with you for that. Yeah, you're gonna like
- 18:11Speaker 1: you're gonna close your eyes to go to bed the
- 18:12Speaker 1: night you try him in your brain. And then said
- 18:15Speaker 1: President Joe Biben already didn't God damn it. The goal
- 18:18Speaker 1: is the legal to legalized PS psychedelic therapy. And before
- 18:23Speaker 1: you want to say that, Joe Biben right now, I
- 18:27Speaker 1: don't know you owe as fuck. We missed Obama. We
- 18:33Speaker 1: missed Obama. God damn we missed Trump. I can't listen.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I missed. I missed. You know what, I ain't even
- 18:41Speaker 1: gonna say that. I just missed prior to Biden. I
- 18:44Speaker 1: missed my tax bills under Trump exactly because God, that's
- 18:48Speaker 1: what I'm telling you. My say what details the tax
- 18:52Speaker 1: the I R S check I wrote last year hurt
- 18:54Speaker 1: my soul, and you make way more money than me.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You know, I don't even want to talk about taxes, please,
- 19:00Speaker 1: don't you know what you gotta do is I have
- 19:04Speaker 1: a few rapper friends that I won't say because I'm
- 19:06Speaker 1: not blowing up their spot. But what you do is
- 19:08Speaker 1: you get your primary residence in either Nevada or Florida.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Absolutely that's where you live. Absolutely that's where you live.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And then you don't got to worry about state taxes
- 19:18Speaker 1: because California is fucking you in that fucking Oh my god,
- 19:22Speaker 1: it's terrible. It's bad. I don't even know why we
- 19:25Speaker 1: I mean, why does anybody live here? I know why
- 19:28Speaker 1: I live here. But if I was doing literally anything
- 19:32Speaker 1: else with my life, I'm out this bitch. And I
- 19:35Speaker 1: love I love Cali. I love the culture here, I
- 19:37Speaker 1: love the people here. I love it. I just love it.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I never thought that I would ever, like, even want
- 19:42Speaker 1: to move anywhere else. You know what I'm saying, But
- 19:44Speaker 1: tax purposes to make you want to get the fuck
- 19:46Speaker 1: out of it. I mean, yeah, Elon Musk left Elon
- 19:49Speaker 1: mus like I'm going to Texas. Fuck y'all, no bullsh Yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: it's a shout out to uh yeah, but we got
- 19:55Speaker 1: to get you some mushrooms. Man. Well, you said you
- 19:57Speaker 1: had to overcome drug addiction. What was what was the
- 20:00Speaker 1: your your your poison? Zan's percoset and Lane that those
- 20:07Speaker 1: are all the hard ones, all the hard was all
- 20:09Speaker 1: the worst ones, man, those are the kind ones. Yeah.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I got addicted to Zans and Lane when I was
- 20:15Speaker 1: probably about seventeen years old. I was taking Zans, drinking Lane,
- 20:20Speaker 1: smoking weed like every day. I ain't gonna lie, look
- 20:22Speaker 1: I used to. I got to a point where my brother,
- 20:25Speaker 1: he had tell you the story. I wish he was here.
- 20:27Speaker 1: We was in New York one time, you know, like
- 20:30Speaker 1: seventeen eighteen, I'm already g herbal. I'm already well look herd, well,
- 20:33Speaker 1: whatever the fucking I'm already traveling. I'm doing shows. I'm
- 20:36Speaker 1: in the other States, and shit, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So I'm on the road battling you know, the trauma
- 20:41Speaker 1: that I'm truck that I've been dealing with for so long,
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But I'm like, one day,
- 20:48Speaker 1: we was in a hotel and I'm seeing my brother
- 20:50Speaker 1: right there. I'm just like taking Zans, taking one. I
- 20:54Speaker 1: was already off one. I ain't shilling. Were just in
- 20:55Speaker 1: the room chilling, like thirty forty minutes go by. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: taking that one like I will go back, I'll take another.
- 21:01Speaker 1: We look at me like, hey, Bro, what the fuck
- 21:03Speaker 1: you doing? You feel? My brother like, hey, nigga, I
- 21:07Speaker 1: just watched you literally take three three of them holse
- 21:10Speaker 1: hands back to back, you drinking? What the fuck is
- 21:12Speaker 1: you doing? Right? I'm like seventeen, eighteen years old and
- 21:15Speaker 1: my brother five years older than me. You're like, man,
- 21:17Speaker 1: what the fuck you on? And I ain't even realize
- 21:20Speaker 1: you feel me like I ain't even feel like I'm feeling.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I'm like, I ain't high. He like, Nigga, I'm looking
- 21:24Speaker 1: at you, nigga, he is high? You feel me like
- 21:27Speaker 1: I was battling with that shit crazy bro, because I
- 21:30Speaker 1: couldn't sleep like trauma things I'm seeing, Bro, Like and
- 21:35Speaker 1: you're dealing with you seeing some wicked shit. Bro. I
- 21:37Speaker 1: done seen my best friend's brains blew out in front
- 21:39Speaker 1: of me. I haven't seen a lot of shit bro,
- 21:42Speaker 1: for real. Like it has got to a point where
- 21:44Speaker 1: I couldn't live with my grandmother. My grandmother died in
- 21:46Speaker 1: twenty sixteen. Bro, I missed the last probably year and
- 21:49Speaker 1: a half of my grandmother life because I couldn't live
- 21:51Speaker 1: with I couldn't live there, Bro, I couldn't live that
- 21:54Speaker 1: niggas was trying to kill me. I couldn't. You couldn't
- 21:56Speaker 1: be around her because you couldn't be around the person
- 21:58Speaker 1: who I love the most life because of where she lived, right,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and she ain't had no choice. She on fucking Section eight.
- 22:05Speaker 1: She can't move. You feel what I'm saying, Like that
- 22:07Speaker 1: shit bothered me still to this day, Bro, you feel
- 22:09Speaker 1: I don't want to get emotional about it, but you
- 22:12Speaker 1: can only imagine, Like that's just one thing. So how
- 22:14Speaker 1: about this. So my grandma died of COVID early COVID. Yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 1: so but this is what was fucked up. And she
- 22:21Speaker 1: was like teetering on dementia. So we'd have to go
- 22:25Speaker 1: and see her like three or four times a week
- 22:28Speaker 1: just to remind her right, so she would always grandmother
- 22:31Speaker 1: was like that she had a stroke. She had a stroke,
- 22:34Speaker 1: and she was like, you know, trying to gain her
- 22:36Speaker 1: memory back. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, But what
- 22:38Speaker 1: was crazy was you remember during COVID they shut down
- 22:41Speaker 1: all the nursing homes. So like the last two months
- 22:44Speaker 1: of my grandma's life, we literally were not allowed to
- 22:47Speaker 1: visit her, and they wouldn't. They wouldn't even like they
- 22:50Speaker 1: would try to put us on the phone with her,
- 22:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But like, so she died
- 22:54Speaker 1: alone with nobody around her, without seeing anybody for two months. Crazy, bro,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie like I relate to that because
- 23:02Speaker 1: and I don't even want to get deep into it,
- 23:03Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, But i'm'a just go into it.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Fucking my mother's mom. She died from a stroke, her
- 23:11Speaker 1: second stroke, I called her first stroke. I got into
- 23:14Speaker 1: a fight at school when I was in eighth grade. Fuck,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and I told my sister, like, run down the block,
- 23:20Speaker 1: and my sister had a cell phone. We get into
- 23:22Speaker 1: it some niggas after school, blase blah. I tell my
- 23:25Speaker 1: sister like, run down the street, you see what I'm saying.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And my sister called, like, oh her beating them fighting
- 23:31Speaker 1: and scared of my grandmother, like you know, made her
- 23:34Speaker 1: get scared. And as soon as I walk in the
- 23:36Speaker 1: house after the shit, I walk home. I'm in eighth grade.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Soon as I walk in the house, my grandma see me,
- 23:41Speaker 1: she already like is static, like she's already Yeah, it's older,
- 23:44Speaker 1: niggas though it's older. And we got into it some
- 23:46Speaker 1: niggas that was like junior singings in high school. We
- 23:49Speaker 1: in eighth grade. You feel what I'm saying. So my
- 23:51Speaker 1: sister crying on the phone, she is static. My grandma
- 23:54Speaker 1: don't know what the fuck going right. So when I
- 23:56Speaker 1: get home and she sees me walk in, she like
- 23:59Speaker 1: already peering. I promised. I went in the house for
- 24:01Speaker 1: two minutes. My grandma fell on the floor, hit a
- 24:03Speaker 1: stroke in front of everybody. You feel me, and she
- 24:06Speaker 1: recovered from it. She had third she lost her memory
- 24:09Speaker 1: all that, you know what I'm saying, And then she
- 24:10Speaker 1: had another another another stroke, maybe like ten years later,
- 24:19Speaker 1: something like that. You feel what I'm saying. But like
- 24:21Speaker 1: as I'm in the streets and all this, and I
- 24:23Speaker 1: had to move out of my grandmother's house and I
- 24:26Speaker 1: was still trying to like go see her. You know,
- 24:28Speaker 1: I remember my last time stepping foot in my grandmother house.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I was probably eighteen nineteen years old, my last time
- 24:35Speaker 1: stepping front in her house, and I had a girl
- 24:41Speaker 1: like dropping me off, like I'm gonna go see my
- 24:43Speaker 1: grandma real quick. You pulling me right there in my
- 24:45Speaker 1: ops neighborhood. It's just me and a girl. You feel me? Wow,
- 24:48Speaker 1: go inside the crib. I got a big ass gun
- 24:50Speaker 1: on me, big ass going on me, poll me. My
- 24:54Speaker 1: grandma see it? You feel me like? She like, don't
- 24:57Speaker 1: come back here no more? You know she I don't
- 25:00Speaker 1: even want you to come back here no more. It's cool.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'll call you, I'll come see you, you feel I'm saying.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And that was the last time I wanted my grandma house.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And then I moved my mother when I started making money.
- 25:11Speaker 1: The first thing I did, the first big check I
- 25:13Speaker 1: really got, for real, I moved my mama out the hood,
- 25:16Speaker 1: and she knew my grandma wasn't moving. She ain't gonna
- 25:18Speaker 1: know where. I moved my grandma an hour away from Chicago.
- 25:21Speaker 1: My grandma already six. She old she not driving an
- 25:24Speaker 1: hour away to go see nobody. You feel me like,
- 25:26Speaker 1: my grandma only been to the mansion, and I bought
- 25:28Speaker 1: my mama my grandma probably been there. I could count
- 25:31Speaker 1: on one hand how many times she's been there. You
- 25:33Speaker 1: feel me? And it was like I lost the memories
- 25:37Speaker 1: with my grandmother, and that's who raised me. That's the
- 25:39Speaker 1: woman I love the most. You feel me, I lost
- 25:41Speaker 1: those memories. And what I'm saying is, I'll relate to
- 25:44Speaker 1: what you're saying, because this is my mother's mom after COVID,
- 25:47Speaker 1: my father's mom. Still I haven't seen my father's mom
- 25:49Speaker 1: in probably two years. She's in the hospital still to
- 25:52Speaker 1: this day. Right now, right now, we don't know what
- 25:54Speaker 1: I'm doing. Hell, she's in the hospital to this day.
- 25:56Speaker 1: She called COVID and she was in like one of
- 25:58Speaker 1: them spots where she COVID was so crazy. She couldn't
- 26:02Speaker 1: get no visitors. Yeah, that's it's limited visitors, can't nobody
- 26:05Speaker 1: even see her. But my mom, my mom only see
- 26:07Speaker 1: her maybe once or twice. My dad could only go
- 26:10Speaker 1: see her. They won't even let me see her. I'm
- 26:12Speaker 1: gee herbo. I can't even go see my grandmother for real,
- 26:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And I think now I
- 26:16Speaker 1: probably can now, but it's like it's two years and
- 26:19Speaker 1: going by my grandma close to eighty years old. You
- 26:22Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying, she's like seventy seven, senty eight,
- 26:26Speaker 1: close to eighty years old. I can't even see her.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You feel I'm saying that fuck with me all the time.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Go see her, man, if you can only grandma. Yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I don't even know if I can. I've been trying
- 26:35Speaker 1: to hit I would go back home to a Z
- 26:38Speaker 1: because I'm from Phoenix, and I would be like I
- 26:40Speaker 1: would always make it a point even about me. I
- 26:43Speaker 1: promise like I want to go take my kids to
- 26:45Speaker 1: go see her. Bro, that's the ship that really means
- 26:47Speaker 1: something to me. I'm saying like, I got a one
- 26:50Speaker 1: year old and a four year old daughter. You feel
- 26:51Speaker 1: I'm saying like, I want to take all my kids.
- 26:54Speaker 1: My son four years old, so of course she met
- 26:56Speaker 1: your son by the time, I need to go take
- 26:58Speaker 1: all my kids to go. Yeah, that's what's important. She
- 27:01Speaker 1: wants to see her grand kids. He's a great grand
- 27:04Speaker 1: and it'll make a great grand kid, and it'll make
- 27:05Speaker 1: her like it'll make her fucking my grandma soldier, you
- 27:09Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So that's a lot, like a
- 27:11Speaker 1: lot of shit that I battle with and I be
- 27:12Speaker 1: dealing with Bro and dealing with my family and shit
- 27:15Speaker 1: like I don't never really say, you know, but I'm
- 27:18Speaker 1: open to say it now because I want people to
- 27:20Speaker 1: understand like, I don't speak on this ship. So when
- 27:22Speaker 1: you come to me with your problems, I got my
- 27:25Speaker 1: own problem. Of course, I don't want to hear another
- 27:27Speaker 1: nigga problems, bro, because I deal with my problems head on,
- 27:30Speaker 1: and your problems probably not even half of what I'm
- 27:33Speaker 1: dealing with. And I got all the money I'm dealing with.
- 27:35Speaker 1: It's more money, more problems, but fuck the money. I
- 27:38Speaker 1: got my own personal problems. Don't come to me by
- 27:40Speaker 1: no personal problems, And I got these problems in them problems.
- 27:43Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm telling you with a
- 27:45Speaker 1: lot of shit, bro, I definitely want to. I definitely
- 27:48Speaker 1: have to. You know, like I talk, I'll be thinking
- 27:50Speaker 1: in my head, I'd be like shit, I wish I
- 27:52Speaker 1: would have went and saw her more. I talk to
- 27:53Speaker 1: my mom every day about this ship, you know, talk
- 27:56Speaker 1: to my dad is like I have to. I don't
- 27:59Speaker 1: like right now, don't literally if I'm able to go
- 28:01Speaker 1: visit my grandmother. It just happened like this a week recently,
- 28:05Speaker 1: two weeks top right right, I just got the window
- 28:08Speaker 1: to go see homes are being very careful. Shit wasn't
- 28:11Speaker 1: like that, bro, I couldn't see her I'm just now
- 28:14Speaker 1: able to, so I gotta take initiative right now. You
- 28:17Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying that should be tough. It's crazy
- 28:20Speaker 1: what you said about like not being able to go
- 28:21Speaker 1: see your grandma because where she lived exact. I just
- 28:24Speaker 1: wonder how many like just countless, countlessless young men are
- 28:28Speaker 1: dealing with that same shit. You know what I mean.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Niggas in Chicago can't go see their grandmother, gan they mother,
- 28:33Speaker 1: they kids because they live, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:36Speaker 1: That's why it's so big on me to just bring
- 28:39Speaker 1: opportunity and change to the city. You know what I'm saying,
- 28:41Speaker 1: because if you don't bring no opportunity, niggas is not
- 28:44Speaker 1: beefing in Chicago over money, especially my generation. It ain't
- 28:47Speaker 1: no money out there. Niggas ain't beefing over no blocks
- 28:50Speaker 1: or drug lass and none of that shit. Niggas beefing
- 28:53Speaker 1: over hearsay, bullshit, the internet, lack of money, lack of opportunity.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It's nothing to do but be angry at everybody. But
- 29:00Speaker 1: once you start bringing money, I don't give a fuck.
- 29:03Speaker 1: And it's my opinion because I've experienced money. Now, maybe
- 29:07Speaker 1: I'm wrong, or maybe I'm not. But once you start
- 29:09Speaker 1: bringing money an opportunity to niggas, ain't nobody got time
- 29:12Speaker 1: to do that shit. Bro. Once you got millions and
- 29:15Speaker 1: you could feed your family, you don't want to go
- 29:16Speaker 1: do nothing, no niggas. So if you're doing that for
- 29:19Speaker 1: this and for whoever like you, just bringing opportunity to Chicago,
- 29:23Speaker 1: a lot of violence gonna stop because nigga's gonna be
- 29:26Speaker 1: able to take care of their family, you know what
- 29:28Speaker 1: I'm saying. Like niggas could talk out differences or whatever,
- 29:30Speaker 1: fight hit whatever. You know what I'm saying. I'm not
- 29:32Speaker 1: trying to end all the violence. It's impossible. You could
- 29:35Speaker 1: never end all the violence anywhere, not just Chicago. But like,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm just trying to bring opportunity to the youth so
- 29:41Speaker 1: they don't have to do that. So even my generation,
- 29:43Speaker 1: we probably already too fucked up to be honest. Maybe
- 29:46Speaker 1: I don't know, but definitely I care about the youth.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I care about the generations after me, so they don't
- 29:53Speaker 1: got to live how I live. You feel what I'm saying,
- 29:55Speaker 1: That's what's important to me. I don't want my kids
- 29:57Speaker 1: to live how I live, bro. I want my kids
- 29:58Speaker 1: to have their innocence to how their youth. What up, y'all.
- 30:01Speaker 1: We got to stop the interview to tell you about
- 30:03Speaker 1: our new sponsors, our family at Hardan Loss Vegas. You
- 30:09Speaker 1: see what it is. You see what it is. Welcome

- 30:14Speaker 1: been going to Hardeen for so many years. For people
- 30:16Speaker 1: who don't know, Harden is that premium cannabis dispensary, the
- 30:20Speaker 1: number one award winning dispensary in Loss, Vegas. I'm talking
- 30:24Speaker 1: the biggest and best selection of cannabis products, and of
- 30:27Speaker 1: course in Vegas, but I'm talking about worldwide. They're then motherfuckers.
- 30:31Speaker 1: All right, So what you gotta do is pull up

- 31:06Speaker 1: to hard Dean, tell them I sent you, and then
- 31:09Speaker 1: you know they might throw a little extra little eighth
- 31:10Speaker 1: in the bag or something. Then a little discount, the
- 31:12Speaker 1: blue leg discount. You know what I'm saying. Get them
- 31:14Speaker 1: packwards too. They give me a packwood the other day
- 31:16Speaker 1: that geez, I'm still recovering from that shit. Blew my
- 31:18Speaker 1: whole fucking face off in the best way, Hardean, Las Vegas.
- 31:22Speaker 1: All right, shout out to them. Let's get back to
- 31:23Speaker 1: the interview. What do you think is specifically for Chicago
- 31:29Speaker 1: the key to breaking the cycle? And I know that
- 31:32Speaker 1: it's hard to talk about. Yeah, I mean because I
- 31:36Speaker 1: think that I think it starts with like guys like
- 31:38Speaker 1: yourself or our leaders. And I think you do a
- 31:41Speaker 1: really good job of of not participating in stuff that
- 31:47Speaker 1: I see some of your other cutting parts participating in.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But I know that it's really it's really hard. Two Once,
- 31:56Speaker 1: once people die, once relatives die, or whatever. I just
- 32:00Speaker 1: I just I don't know what it is like. You know,
- 32:02Speaker 1: I think for me, at least from an outsider looking
- 32:04Speaker 1: and I think it starts with you know, like you said,
- 32:07Speaker 1: like if you're in a position to give back, if
- 32:09Speaker 1: you're in a position to be a positive influence on
- 32:12Speaker 1: on the generation below you, I think that's a lot,
- 32:15Speaker 1: you know, And I do want to give you props
- 32:18Speaker 1: because I feel like I never see you wrapped up
- 32:23Speaker 1: in negative bullshit outside of you know, hey, you know,
- 32:26Speaker 1: maybe you got a charge, or you're going ship with
- 32:28Speaker 1: your with your baby mom, whatever, just dumb shit that
- 32:30Speaker 1: you know, your famous person you're gonna deal with. You're
- 32:32Speaker 1: gonna deal with famous person shit. But I feel like,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you know, I always say that like just as an artist,
- 32:39Speaker 1: you've grown the most over the years. As a rapper,
- 32:42Speaker 1: you've you've you've leaps and bounds lyrically. But all that
- 32:46Speaker 1: shit aside, Like I feel like as a man, like
- 32:47Speaker 1: you're one of those shining examples of like, you know, growth,
- 32:52Speaker 1: We saw you grow up in front of our eyes,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and you know, I want to just give you kudos
- 32:57Speaker 1: for not participate painting in the fun shit that I
- 33:01Speaker 1: see a lot of people who you know are your
- 33:03Speaker 1: peers participating in. But like, what do you think is
- 33:05Speaker 1: the key to kind of like you're never gonna stop everything. Yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 1: for sure, absolutely. I think the key to it is opportunity. Bro. Yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 1: people are opportunists. So at the end of the day,
- 33:18Speaker 1: if you're an opportunist and I'm not, I may give
- 33:20Speaker 1: you opportunity because as an opportunitist, you may think, all right,
- 33:24Speaker 1: the way to feed my family is to do this
- 33:26Speaker 1: on the internet or do this or yeah, because you
- 33:29Speaker 1: get function, you see your metric. The function is what's
- 33:34Speaker 1: feeding people family, But at the end of the day,
- 33:36Speaker 1: it's what's ending families as well. That ship is feeding
- 33:39Speaker 1: families and and families at the same time. And it's
- 33:42Speaker 1: the short Nu. It's like, yeah, short you feel and
- 33:45Speaker 1: I feel like for what I don't want to do
- 33:48Speaker 1: because I could, I could feed into all the function
- 33:50Speaker 1: and I could be on functionhit. But I'm not for what.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I feel like I got so much to lose. And
- 33:56Speaker 1: that's just from experiencing life on so many ways, bro,
- 33:59Speaker 1: because I used to wake up every day on functionhit.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But I ain't on that. Bro. I wake up every
- 34:04Speaker 1: day in a big ass crib with my kids. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: don't even want to think about no func. Shit. You
- 34:09Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying, And it's like at the end
- 34:11Speaker 1: of the day. It's so easy to like snap back
- 34:14Speaker 1: and like entertain goofy shit or whatever. But I feel
- 34:18Speaker 1: like the key opponent to ending that is opportunity. Bro,
- 34:21Speaker 1: you gotta get a nigga's opportunity, and you gotta understand,
- 34:24Speaker 1: you gotta be understanding of why niggas on function. It's
- 34:27Speaker 1: certain niggas on function that don't have nothing else to
- 34:30Speaker 1: resort to, but that they don't have no other opportunities,
- 34:32Speaker 1: no ways of making money. They in theyhood all day
- 34:35Speaker 1: where it's nothing but negativity. I could tell you every
- 34:38Speaker 1: day it was nothing but negativity in my neighborhood, where
- 34:40Speaker 1: every day is some function going on, and we still
- 34:43Speaker 1: finding ways to smell, to have fun. My friends, my
- 34:46Speaker 1: best friends die. I'm coming back on this block every day,
- 34:49Speaker 1: and I'm still able to crack a smile, which is crazy.
- 34:51Speaker 1: That's insane, that's insane. You feel what I'm saying. So
- 34:55Speaker 1: to understand that, it's one of the main reasons why
- 34:58Speaker 1: I don't feed into it, because I under staying I
- 35:01Speaker 1: get why niggas frustrated. I could get why a nigga
- 35:03Speaker 1: may be frustrated even at me, because I'm able to
- 35:07Speaker 1: live on this side of the fence. That's survivors remorse,
- 35:10Speaker 1: and that's why I understand, Like, damn, it's cool, I
- 35:12Speaker 1: know you going through this. I really want to help you,
- 35:16Speaker 1: but I gotta be able to help you. But you
- 35:19Speaker 1: gotta want to help yourself. You gotta want to help you.
- 35:21Speaker 1: But it's like nigga. Certain niggas can't even help themselves
- 35:25Speaker 1: because they in this environment. It's hard to want to
- 35:28Speaker 1: help yourself when survive survive, that's the survivor side. I
- 35:33Speaker 1: survive this ship, so I understand it different. You feel
- 35:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying, like everything just tied back into each
- 35:39Speaker 1: other and it's like that shit tough, bro, And I
- 35:41Speaker 1: understand it because I once come from that you feel
- 35:43Speaker 1: I'm saying. So the reason why I don't feed into
- 35:46Speaker 1: it is because it ain't even worth it to me. Well,
- 35:48Speaker 1: that takes a lot of humility on your behalf to
- 35:50Speaker 1: be like, you know what, I'm not feeding into this
- 35:53Speaker 1: ship because I get it. I was there, I get it. Yeah,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I get it. You feel what I'm saying like I
- 35:57Speaker 1: always once you, I relate to you. So I feel
- 36:01Speaker 1: like with me being an open book and being vulnerab
- 36:04Speaker 1: about this shit, and nigga would be like, damn, he
- 36:06Speaker 1: really do get it right? Fuck it. Let me just
- 36:08Speaker 1: change everything because I made the biggest sacrifice. I wouldn't
- 36:11Speaker 1: be here today if I ain't say fuck everything, bro,
- 36:13Speaker 1: and every nigga around me could contest to it. I said,
- 36:16Speaker 1: fuck everything, Fuck being on the block, fuck hanging with
- 36:19Speaker 1: my friends, fuck rap. I said, fuck everything. Let me
- 36:23Speaker 1: just get my mad right, Bro. I stayed in my
- 36:24Speaker 1: mama house literally, nigga. I had a condo down town
- 36:28Speaker 1: when I was seventeen years old. Bro, I stayed in
- 36:30Speaker 1: my mama house in my twenties and just stayed in
- 36:32Speaker 1: abasement and just try to think about life, bro, Think
- 36:36Speaker 1: about where I would be if I made certain decisions.
- 36:38Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying. If I was still outside
- 36:40Speaker 1: hanging on my block, because I love my hood so much.
- 36:44Speaker 1: But I got millions of dollars, youee what I'm saying,
- 36:46Speaker 1: I'm making millions of dollars, you know. And that was
- 36:50Speaker 1: one of the toughest times I've ever been through in
- 36:51Speaker 1: my life. And people who experienced that with me know
- 36:54Speaker 1: I went through some tough shit and I overcame that.
- 36:58Speaker 1: So I'm saying all that to say is no matter
- 37:00Speaker 1: what you're going through in your life or whatever tough
- 37:02Speaker 1: times you going through, you could just buckle down, embrace it,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and overcome it. You know what I'm saying. There's people
- 37:07Speaker 1: going through tougher shit than me, of course, so you
- 37:11Speaker 1: just gotta take it for what it is, bro and
- 37:13Speaker 1: just try to be the best version of yourself that
- 37:16Speaker 1: you could be tomorrow than you was yesterday. And you
- 37:19Speaker 1: keep trying to do that, and then you look up
- 37:21Speaker 1: niggas two months then going back you're like, damn, I
- 37:24Speaker 1: think totally different, right, But I can get back out
- 37:26Speaker 1: here and just do my thing. You feel me, I
- 37:28Speaker 1: think I was gonna say, I think another thing that
- 37:30Speaker 1: you probably I think that we have to stop romanticizing
- 37:34Speaker 1: the wrong shit, Like if you come from a certain area,
- 37:39Speaker 1: like at the end of the day, unless you own
- 37:41Speaker 1: that real estate, ain't about nothing. It ain't about nothing,
- 37:44Speaker 1: no man who cares. Like one of my biggest pet
- 37:47Speaker 1: peeves is when I see people like I'm still here,
- 37:51Speaker 1: y'all can't come over here, and I'm like, yo, like
- 37:53Speaker 1: at the end of the day, like you grew up there,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and you know where you grew up, Like your goal
- 37:58Speaker 1: should be to try to evolve and get into with
- 38:00Speaker 1: the situation out of here so we could own this ship.
- 38:02Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying and show you this, and
- 38:04Speaker 1: that's crazy you saying that. Bro, This like some of
- 38:07Speaker 1: the deepest shit I've been talking about right now with you.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Because I just did the AS on the block ship
- 38:13Speaker 1: in Chicago right there, I just did the A A
- 38:15Speaker 1: on a block interview. I thought about it. I'm like,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna go back to the block and shoot this ship.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I thought, like, own this ship game, I own a
- 38:23Speaker 1: school in Chicago. I'm finna shoot my ship right here.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You on the school. I own the school at the school.
- 38:30Speaker 1: That's what I'm finna shoot right here, right here, my ship.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I own this property game. I own this ship, Bro,
- 38:37Speaker 1: Why not want to shoot right here? Why not want
- 38:40Speaker 1: to shoot right here? Why not go back to the
- 38:41Speaker 1: block when I could own this ship and get this
- 38:43Speaker 1: ship to people who I care about? How my home?
- 38:46Speaker 1: And now you got a development company, a construction company,
- 38:49Speaker 1: a paint company, of real estate management company. Get that
- 38:52Speaker 1: ship to y'all, and now we really own the block.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Post up on that bitch, all y'all want, let's do this.
- 38:57Speaker 1: That's what I'm also like you, your goal should always
- 39:00Speaker 1: be to get back to your kids every day. Hell,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and if it's like a three percent chance to something
- 39:05Speaker 1: wrong happens when you go shoot that. If it's a
- 39:07Speaker 1: two percent, don't do it. Let me minimize the man.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I need to maximize the chance to getting home to
- 39:14Speaker 1: this chance. The nigga, I'm up so and some ship
- 39:16Speaker 1: rubbed me the wrong way. I ain't doing it, you
- 39:18Speaker 1: feel I'm saying, But I was the same nigga, Like
- 39:20Speaker 1: I know for a fact, I know every risk of
- 39:22Speaker 1: doing this. I'm still do it because I feel like,
- 39:24Speaker 1: all right, bet I could do it. Yeah, because I
- 39:27Speaker 1: got that same like my my man had work. I know,
- 39:30Speaker 1: I feel like I could overcome any situation. And that's dangerous.
- 39:33Speaker 1: So I put myself and it's up situation. That's and
- 39:36Speaker 1: that's also not like I could overcome. No, that's a
- 39:38Speaker 1: terrible way, crazy way to think. What I learned that
- 39:42Speaker 1: way to think in bad circum I feel like I
- 39:44Speaker 1: used to be the same way, where like now we're
- 39:46Speaker 1: gonna be all right, We're gonna be straight, we get
- 39:48Speaker 1: through whatever happens. I got it it. We got it.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Until you don't till you don't. Everything all good till
- 39:53Speaker 1: it ain't until it ain't. Nobody's bulletproof. Nobody is uh,
- 39:57Speaker 1: everything all good until it ain't. Bro. That's some real shit,
- 40:00Speaker 1: And I think a lot of people need to stop
- 40:03Speaker 1: moving around with just like I feel like false privilege. Like, hey, man,
- 40:07Speaker 1: you ain't no better than anybody else, you know what
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm saying. And I know that though I understand that
- 40:12Speaker 1: you feel I'm saying, I just felt like I was
- 40:14Speaker 1: the best version of myself right, and that ain't no
- 40:17Speaker 1: way to think. Nah. I think I think, man, I
- 40:20Speaker 1: just you know, slew to you dog because I swear, man,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I always tell people that interviews. Whenever your name is
- 40:25Speaker 1: brought up, I'm like, man, you're like, I think, like
- 40:28Speaker 1: a beaming light from a city that needs that light.
- 40:31Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And I think, you know,
- 40:34Speaker 1: just to watch you. I think the first time I
- 40:36Speaker 1: saw you, I was on the side of the stage
- 40:38Speaker 1: at Summer Jam when Nikki brought you out. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 40:41Speaker 1: So that was like twenty fourteen or fifteen? Was that fourteen?
- 40:44Speaker 1: Twenty fourteen? For sure? How old were you twenty fourteen?
- 40:48Speaker 1: I was seventeen, so that was. Yeah, I remember that
- 40:52Speaker 1: shit like that was like that was one of them days,
- 40:54Speaker 1: fourteen seventeen eighteen like that. Yeah, that was one of
- 40:57Speaker 1: those days I always remember because we were right there
- 40:59Speaker 1: like bullshited our way where the label didn't kick us
- 41:01Speaker 1: out and I'm like standing there watching fucking Nikki and
- 41:03Speaker 1: Drake and you get brought out. That was That was
- 41:08Speaker 1: how big of how pivotal of like a day was
- 41:10Speaker 1: that for you to get brought out of summer jam
- 41:11Speaker 1: by Nikki? Man, that shit was crazy, Bro. I was
- 41:13Speaker 1: so nervous. I couldn't even really like because you gotta understand, bro,
- 41:17Speaker 1: I'm coming from say Knife and Assens every day. That's
- 41:21Speaker 1: why I'm hanging it. Like literally, I'm right there the
- 41:23Speaker 1: day before I fly out. So it's like I didn't
- 41:25Speaker 1: even feel like I belonged there. I felt like I
- 41:28Speaker 1: felt I blended in better over there. And that's the
- 41:30Speaker 1: wrong way to think, because I've been a superstar Nigga.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I wouldn't even been there if I ain't belong with that.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Of course, NICKI would have never reached out to me
- 41:35Speaker 1: if I didn't deserve to be there. But when I
- 41:39Speaker 1: come around that, I felt like I was out of place.
- 41:42Speaker 1: That's fucking crazy. I should have felt like I was
- 41:44Speaker 1: out of place on my block, right you feel me?
- 41:46Speaker 1: I felt the most comfortable over there. And when I
- 41:49Speaker 1: get around Wayne, fucking Baby Nikki, all these superstars meet.
- 41:54Speaker 1: This is my first time really meeting all of them.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I ain't say a word that Bro, Drake Nigga. I
- 42:01Speaker 1: saw to god Drake could contest it is right now,
- 42:04Speaker 1: we backstage. My first real encounter with Drake was, y'all
- 42:08Speaker 1: don't know who this is. This is my favorite rapper.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Drake called me his favorite rapper Nigga when I was
- 42:13Speaker 1: eighteen years old. It's my favorite rapper right now. And
- 42:16Speaker 1: I got so shot. I'm like, man, what the fuck
- 42:18Speaker 1: you just put me on the spot like that for?
- 42:20Speaker 1: It fucked me up because I felt out of place
- 42:22Speaker 1: already being there. I didn't feel like a star. You
- 42:24Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying. I didn't know how to feel
- 42:26Speaker 1: like a star because I'm up against this shit. You're
- 42:28Speaker 1: up against real life. I'm up against real life. I
- 42:30Speaker 1: didn't feel like a star, bro. So for Drake to
- 42:32Speaker 1: tell me that right then, I didn't even know how
- 42:34Speaker 1: to feel. It made me so fucking uncomfortable that he
- 42:37Speaker 1: did that. You feel me, and that's probably why, like,
- 42:40Speaker 1: our relationship ain't where it should be today because I
- 42:43Speaker 1: didn't embrace him telling me that. I didn't know how
- 42:45Speaker 1: to feel when he told me that shit. Bro, I
- 42:47Speaker 1: swear to God, a nigga told me in front of
- 42:48Speaker 1: Baby Wayne Nikki g Robers that night. That night, back backstage,
- 42:53Speaker 1: he said, YA don't know what this is because I'm
- 42:55Speaker 1: in the corner. I ain't talking to nobody. I don't
- 42:57Speaker 1: know what this is. Man, this is my favorite rapper.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Man ain't nah, I fuck with Shorty and I ain't
- 43:02Speaker 1: know what the thing. I still was nervous when I
- 43:03Speaker 1: went out on stage. You feel me, like, And I'm
- 43:05Speaker 1: saying all that to say for any artist or anybody
- 43:08Speaker 1: that's trying to do this shit like, embrace your in
- 43:11Speaker 1: the stock, embrace your power because this shit could be
- 43:14Speaker 1: taken from you any day. And I'm blessed that God
- 43:16Speaker 1: didn't take this shit from me when I took it
- 43:18Speaker 1: for granted, or when I didn't understand what it was.
- 43:20Speaker 1: And that's why I'm here today. You know what I'm saying.
- 43:22Speaker 1: So that shit crazy to me, Bro, It's crazy. Full
- 43:26Speaker 1: circle Nicky. I came out roll aloud with Nikki. You
- 43:29Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, like full circle to this day.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Me and Drake Cool. That's my brother, h I talk
- 43:33Speaker 1: to him all the time. You know what I'm saying,
- 43:35Speaker 1: Like I was, you be hooping together and shit, now
- 43:38Speaker 1: you feel me. We go hang out and all this shit.
- 43:40Speaker 1: You know. Like so it's just like a different hour
- 43:45Speaker 1: that I have about myself because I'm mature and I'm
- 43:47Speaker 1: a different person. Yeah, what would you say is the
- 43:50Speaker 1: main component for you to have the longevity? Because I mean, listen, man,
- 43:56Speaker 1: we're talking going on ten years now, right, so like
- 43:59Speaker 1: a lot of people, I mean, careers last a summer
- 44:03Speaker 1: two years, you know, Like like I mean, we don't
- 44:06Speaker 1: even gotta say names. We just think the top of
- 44:08Speaker 1: your head list goes on so many artists that I'm like, damn,
- 44:11Speaker 1: y'all had you had a hot year? And then you're
- 44:13Speaker 1: like what happened? You know what I mean? Like what
- 44:15Speaker 1: do you think is uh been pertinent to you staying relevant?
- 44:19Speaker 1: And and you know, for me, I think just from
- 44:21Speaker 1: a fan, it's gross. Yeah. The growth musically, it's being myself, Yes,
- 44:26Speaker 1: embracing my flaws. Bro, not feeling like I was supposed
- 44:30Speaker 1: to be that nigga or I suppose you know, and
- 44:31Speaker 1: you're not wearing like a rapper cost to me that
- 44:33Speaker 1: I'm not wearing a rapper cost. I'm being myself. You
- 44:35Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. At the end of the day,
- 44:38Speaker 1: as before I mature and became this person, you would
- 44:40Speaker 1: look look at him, still look good. I'm doing all
- 44:43Speaker 1: this ship and I'm like, how the fuck is this
- 44:45Speaker 1: nigga doing better than me? And I know for a fact,
- 44:47Speaker 1: I ain't a competitive person. I don't compel nobody, which
- 44:50Speaker 1: is important. You know that is a flaw. That's a flaw.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I never look at nobody like he's supposed to be
- 44:55Speaker 1: where they at. You will look at a nigga and
- 44:57Speaker 1: be like, I'm supposed to be where he at and
- 44:58Speaker 1: then next year, where is he? And you still doing this?
- 45:01Speaker 1: I ain't never did this. I when you start looking over,
- 45:04Speaker 1: I always did this and this and this and this
- 45:07Speaker 1: and this because I always better on myself. I always
- 45:10Speaker 1: believe in myself and I always been myself. Bro every
- 45:13Speaker 1: every all through my career. I'm going through something personally,
- 45:17Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, whether it's adversity. Reddit is
- 45:19Speaker 1: the music industry, whether it's fighting the case, whether it's
- 45:21Speaker 1: dealing with some shit at home. I just find a
- 45:24Speaker 1: way to just be the best version of myself when
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm out here being g Herbal, because I'm not g Herbal.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I'm Herbert, right. Ge Herbal is the basically the costume,
- 45:33Speaker 1: but I don't put on a rapper costume. I'm not
- 45:35Speaker 1: trying to be g Herbal because I am g Herbal.
- 45:37Speaker 1: That's me automatically. I am that. But at the end
- 45:39Speaker 1: of the day, I'm a man, bro, and that's what's
- 45:42Speaker 1: important to me. So I always focused on being that
- 45:45Speaker 1: and just being the best man I could be. As
- 45:46Speaker 1: as long as I'm the best man I could be,
- 45:48Speaker 1: I'm always be the best rap I could be. That's
- 45:51Speaker 1: shit easy, bro. I ain't no rap. I'm a solid nigga.
- 45:54Speaker 1: You feel what I'm saying, and that's what's important to me,
- 45:56Speaker 1: and that's what people gravitate to, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:58Speaker 1: So a lot of time people didn't really catch on
- 46:01Speaker 1: the rap. I ain't had no plaques and all this
- 46:03Speaker 1: crazy shit going on. I fee I'm saying. I'm just
- 46:05Speaker 1: not really getting my plaques now I'm getting my flowers now,
- 46:09Speaker 1: but I ain't never asked for them. I ain't want them.
- 46:11Speaker 1: The people who fucked me fucked me. If it was
- 46:13Speaker 1: for you, it's for you. Hey, what up? Is Bootleg

- 47:39Speaker 1: most important thing. Get that first time deposit bonus. That
- 47:44Speaker 1: means when you sign up for your account, use the
- 47:47Speaker 1: promo code Bootleg boot l Eg and you will get
- 47:51Speaker 1: a deposit match. So if you put in two hundred dollars,
- 47:55Speaker 1: they're gonna give you two hundred dollars on top of
- 47:57Speaker 1: that to gamble with for free. If you put in
- 47:59Speaker 1: a thousand dollars, they're gonna match that deposit with a
- 48:03Speaker 1: three thousand dollars for you to gamble with right now.
- 48:06Speaker 1: So what the fuck are you waiting for. Let's get
- 48:08Speaker 1: this money, Let's watch some fucking football, and let's get
- 48:11Speaker 1: paid with my bookiet. Well, you know what it is
- 48:12Speaker 1: a lot of people use that kind of shit as
- 48:15Speaker 1: a way to give them like, like feel like they
- 48:18Speaker 1: look at accolades, relationships, props from other artists as like
- 48:23Speaker 1: a way to validate themselves, validate themselves. And it's like, bro, like,
- 48:27Speaker 1: if you know you're straight and you know you're on
- 48:29Speaker 1: your mission, always get like everything will come like at
- 48:32Speaker 1: the end of the day. You can't let outside shit
- 48:36Speaker 1: validate who you are. And unfortunately, like a lot of people,
- 48:40Speaker 1: that's I mean, I've been I've been in that position
- 48:41Speaker 1: in my life where I'm so worried about what everybody
- 48:43Speaker 1: thought or I have to you, it's going to be
- 48:45Speaker 1: in that position where you worry about what everybody think.
- 48:48Speaker 1: But the thing that made me stop caring is it
- 48:52Speaker 1: was always because of the Internet. You feel what I'm saying, Like,
- 48:54Speaker 1: the people that I deal with on the day to
- 48:56Speaker 1: day where there's somebody I work with, some my first
- 48:59Speaker 1: time means somebody, my mother, my girl, my kids, right,
- 49:03Speaker 1: my girl, mother of family. Everybody loved me when they
- 49:06Speaker 1: meet me. And I started to think, like, I mean,
- 49:08Speaker 1: I'm a solid nigga. I ain't never really hear nobody
- 49:11Speaker 1: really say nothing bad about me. Like in the streets,
- 49:14Speaker 1: my name always been good US industry and the music industry.
- 49:17Speaker 1: As you know, it's fake as fuck. I don't know
- 49:19Speaker 1: anybody who's ever said anything bad about it. My name
- 49:21Speaker 1: good out here, bro, because I just focus on being
- 49:23Speaker 1: a solid dude personally. My name good in the industry,
- 49:26Speaker 1: my name good. So it's like I can't really care
- 49:29Speaker 1: about what nobody said about me because I ain't perfect.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna fuck up, of course. So if I embraced
- 49:33Speaker 1: my flaws and just try to be the best version
- 49:35Speaker 1: of myself, I'm gonna always be good. And that's why
- 49:37Speaker 1: I never feel into like internet shit because my name's solid, bro.
- 49:41Speaker 1: It always been solid no matter what I did, what
- 49:43Speaker 1: I was in the streets, every day, in the industry,
- 49:46Speaker 1: at home, my name always been solid. With my flaws,
- 49:49Speaker 1: with every fuck up I ever heard in my life,
- 49:52Speaker 1: my name still always remained solid. And that's what's important
- 49:55Speaker 1: to me. That's all I really care about. That's important, man.
- 49:57Speaker 1: And I also think too, like you've done a good
- 50:00Speaker 1: job of navigating the Internet era, which which was not
- 50:04Speaker 1: necessarily present like it is now when you first got
- 50:09Speaker 1: into your career. It definitely wasn't hell on all. The
- 50:11Speaker 1: Internet presence was never like what it is now. Like
- 50:14Speaker 1: nobody never when I first started doing music, even though
- 50:17Speaker 1: the Internet was Instagram, MySpace and all that, nobody never
- 50:20Speaker 1: really felt comfortable walking up on those street niggas when
- 50:23Speaker 1: they phone out or that's a no no, automatically like
- 50:26Speaker 1: people not even scared like that I'm gonna do something
- 50:29Speaker 1: to them, smack their phone out there. I never done it.
- 50:31Speaker 1: I swept my whole career. Can't. Nobody never say I
- 50:34Speaker 1: smacked their phone out the head. I just embrace it,
- 50:36Speaker 1: like damn you know, I could be sleep mad, having
- 50:38Speaker 1: a bad day. I'm just like, damn you know, I
- 50:41Speaker 1: either watch out or I'm gonna and break you feel me?
- 50:45Speaker 1: That was never cool. It ain't never been cool to
- 50:47Speaker 1: walk up on nobody with your phone. I'll be having
- 50:49Speaker 1: my kids. I could have my brand new baby walking
- 50:51Speaker 1: through the airport walk up and do like it's crazy.
- 50:54Speaker 1: That's crazy to me, bro, and that's not cool. We
- 50:56Speaker 1: need to not normalize that shit. Bro. That get people
- 51:00Speaker 1: their space at the end of the day, because we
- 51:02Speaker 1: all human. How would you feel if you're a regular
- 51:05Speaker 1: person and your kid just in your arms and they
- 51:09Speaker 1: like the kids shoes whatever, or people negative they may
- 51:12Speaker 1: think your kid looks I've had a crack a joke.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I've had that happen rapping at the grocery store when
- 51:17Speaker 1: I had my son was a baby and they be
- 51:19Speaker 1: like I've had people try to be like, oh, your
- 51:20Speaker 1: baby's so cute to touch. I don't touch my I
- 51:23Speaker 1: ain't with that. You feel what I'm saying, Like people
- 51:25Speaker 1: will try to, like used to try to, like when
- 51:27Speaker 1: my girl was pregnant, they used to always try to
- 51:28Speaker 1: touch our stomach and I'll be don't do that. I
- 51:31Speaker 1: don't know, I ain't with that. Are you the grandma?
- 51:33Speaker 1: Are you the auntie? And he don't bring that ship
- 51:36Speaker 1: you feel me? But people feel welcome enough to do that,
- 51:38Speaker 1: and then I'm the bad guy. Oh her push me.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I tried, that's my baby right there. I don't know
- 51:43Speaker 1: what the fuck you into? I really do something to you.
- 51:45Speaker 1: You're trying to touch my girl's stomach while she's pregnant.
- 51:48Speaker 1: You feel me. But at the end of the day,
- 51:49Speaker 1: we all human, So you gotta understand that, bro, you
- 51:51Speaker 1: gotta really understand where a nigga comes from when he does.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I want to ask you this because I think, you know,
- 51:58Speaker 1: one of the main components that kind of people when
- 52:03Speaker 1: they think about early Chicago days. Not early Chicago in general,
- 52:07Speaker 1: because you know, we can go back to like Twist
- 52:09Speaker 1: and Common and all that shit, but like in terms
- 52:12Speaker 1: of the just the drill movement. You know, Chief Keeth
- 52:16Speaker 1: obviously kicked the door down. I saw you talk about
- 52:19Speaker 1: kind of his influence in what Charlamayne and said, and
- 52:22Speaker 1: you're going to see Charlemagne this weekend. Shout out to
- 52:24Speaker 1: my guy. I wonder. I know some people had felt
- 52:29Speaker 1: a certain type of way about when Academics was doing
- 52:32Speaker 1: the warre Inn Chirac shit. Around that time. You were
- 52:35Speaker 1: probably a lot more present in some of that ship. Yeah.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Was that something that you guys paid attention to or
- 52:41Speaker 1: was it something you thought added to the violence? Yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: definitely added to the violence. And I got a one
- 52:48Speaker 1: on one with academics too. We could talk about this,
- 52:50Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Academics my brother, I'll fuck
- 52:52Speaker 1: with him, you know what I'm saying. But what you
- 52:54Speaker 1: thought Academics was from Chicago? Yeah, yeah, he I ain't
- 52:59Speaker 1: from chicag bro. And he's speaking on this ship in
- 53:02Speaker 1: a way where it's like Jersey got a hood, Jersey
- 53:05Speaker 1: got the trenches, Jersey got rappers all this. You're not
- 53:07Speaker 1: speaking on this shit because you from that. These people
- 53:09Speaker 1: really know you. I feel like, in my opinion, you
- 53:12Speaker 1: know you're not gonna speak so much on what's going
- 53:14Speaker 1: on in Jersey, even though Chicago had the bigger spotlight
- 53:18Speaker 1: on him and it was something to talk about. But
- 53:19Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you don't know how
- 53:21Speaker 1: many people lost their lives outside of the Internet about
- 53:24Speaker 1: some shit you talking about. You calling a nigga, You
- 53:26Speaker 1: calling Recye the grim Reaper like a nigga. Want to
- 53:29Speaker 1: kill him just because you calling him that. You call
- 53:32Speaker 1: a nigga the grim Reaper, Nigga the grim Reaper. You
- 53:35Speaker 1: don't supposed to call no man the grim Reaper. You
- 53:37Speaker 1: feel saying the grim Reaper is a representation of death,
- 53:41Speaker 1: and you calling this man that they got a family,
- 53:43Speaker 1: they got kids, they got a mother, they got sister
- 53:46Speaker 1: that people got. But he was young. I get him that.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I give him credit. He was just on the outside
- 53:50Speaker 1: looking in and there was something to talk about and
- 53:52Speaker 1: it built his platform to this day. I'm not gonna
- 53:54Speaker 1: knock him for that, but at the end of the day,
- 53:56Speaker 1: a lot of that shit made a big difference in
- 53:58Speaker 1: what's going on now. We didn't know who Academics was.
- 54:01Speaker 1: We thought Academics was from Chicago because he knew so much.
- 54:05Speaker 1: But that's somebody that was just in tune with what
- 54:08Speaker 1: we're doing because we broadcasted it. So we gotta hold
- 54:10Speaker 1: ourselves accountable in the music exactly we broadcasted this ship.
- 54:14Speaker 1: So I'm gonna be a man and say, yeah, we
- 54:16Speaker 1: started it. For sure, we initiated it. But at the
- 54:19Speaker 1: end of the day, we were just kids and this
- 54:21Speaker 1: was our reality. We didn't never look at this shit like, oh,
- 54:24Speaker 1: we put these guns on Internet, we're gonna get famous.
- 54:26Speaker 1: It was just cameras were just cameras around videos and
- 54:29Speaker 1: started rapping. We just embracing our life. Soon as that
- 54:32Speaker 1: camera went down, we ain't put them guns in storage. Motherfuckers,
- 54:35Speaker 1: was right. On the block with us and were protecting
- 54:38Speaker 1: our life. That's what we was up against. And people
- 54:41Speaker 1: got to understand that, and a lot of people lost
- 54:42Speaker 1: their life to that, And that's a lot of reasons
- 54:45Speaker 1: why people react and behave the way they do. You
- 54:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah, I think I understand like them, uh,
- 54:50Speaker 1: because I know vic vic vic menta like he was not.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I mean, I know a lot of people who have,
- 54:55Speaker 1: you know, negative connotations towards academics. Rightfully, so a lot
- 54:58Speaker 1: of people do. But I think at that time, I
- 55:01Speaker 1: don't know if he understood the gravity of what he
- 55:03Speaker 1: was doing, I would give him the I would give
- 55:05Speaker 1: him the benefit to say he didn't understand what he
- 55:07Speaker 1: was doing at that time. I'm not sure he ever
- 55:09Speaker 1: knew he'd be on camera. Yeah, Like we know, academics
- 55:14Speaker 1: is like a personality in hip hop as to where
- 55:16Speaker 1: like then he was just the voice that was just
- 55:18Speaker 1: you know, kind of narrating on camera. But yeah, nobody
- 55:21Speaker 1: knew how he looked when he was doing that. He
- 55:22Speaker 1: didn't show his face, right, And I think that's one
- 55:25Speaker 1: of the reasons why he didn't. He didn't want nobody
- 55:27Speaker 1: know how he looked. He ain't want nobody know who
- 55:29Speaker 1: he was because the shit he was doing. Bro, I
- 55:31Speaker 1: ain't gonna lie, and you gotta I'm gonna talk. I'm
- 55:33Speaker 1: gonna talk to him when we say that for real,
- 55:35Speaker 1: Like you gotta really hold yourself accountable for what you've
- 55:38Speaker 1: done and the same responsible for a lot of this shit,
- 55:40Speaker 1: the same way that we are as are. I think
- 55:42Speaker 1: that's what important is the I think I think anybody
- 55:45Speaker 1: who's a grown ass man, Look, man, if you were
- 55:47Speaker 1: nineteen twenty making YouTube videos, you should at least own
- 55:50Speaker 1: whatever to own him. I was nineteen twenty and I'm
- 55:53Speaker 1: talking about the shit I'm up against, or eighteen seventeen
- 55:56Speaker 1: when I wasn't talking about nothing, and if I want
- 55:58Speaker 1: somebody to go outside and kill somebody, and even talking
- 56:00Speaker 1: about some shit because I have just seen my best
- 56:02Speaker 1: friend get his fucking head blown up. It's crazy even
- 56:04Speaker 1: just the influence of like those videos, like because now
- 56:07Speaker 1: there's so many YouTube channels and their whole stick is
- 56:10Speaker 1: talking over clips that we don't know what these people
- 56:14Speaker 1: look like. We just know that they're covering whatever city's
- 56:17Speaker 1: bullshit that's going on. Like it'd be hard for me
- 56:19Speaker 1: to touch on it because it's so close to home.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Of course, that's a sensitive subject. You feel what I'm saying,
- 56:24Speaker 1: Like I lost a lot of people that I really love.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I mean, like you said, it's behind the streets, right,
- 56:30Speaker 1: you feel me? What is your opinion on when you
- 56:34Speaker 1: come from a place like Chicago, where a lot of
- 56:39Speaker 1: conflict is rooted from a very real place. I feel
- 56:44Speaker 1: like the last few years we've seen hip hop beef
- 56:49Speaker 1: people who aren't from the same place, not even anyone
- 56:52Speaker 1: specifically exactly, but people who aren't even from the same state,
- 56:56Speaker 1: people who do not grow up around each other have
- 56:59Speaker 1: serious beef. That's equal bloodshed, life being lost. Like, to me,
- 57:03Speaker 1: it's like a shame when I see that shit. It's
- 57:06Speaker 1: like really and a lot of it is the Internet,
- 57:09Speaker 1: the IG, the Twitter, all this shit, But like you know,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I just feel like we got to figure out a
- 57:15Speaker 1: way to try to nip that kind of shit in
- 57:17Speaker 1: the butt. Like if someone's from the same place and
- 57:19Speaker 1: they got's cool, it's not even cool. I'm not cool, understandable,
- 57:25Speaker 1: but the rap beef shit, I'm like, man, especially if
- 57:28Speaker 1: it's from people who come from a place where they
- 57:31Speaker 1: know what beef is. It's like, what's the point of
- 57:33Speaker 1: like having like a real beef with another rapper who's
- 57:36Speaker 1: not even from where you're from exactly. I feel like
- 57:40Speaker 1: it's unnecessary in any way, you know what I'm saying.
- 57:43Speaker 1: And that's why I try to like stay in my
- 57:45Speaker 1: lane because I understand. I understand it, I get it.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I get why people have differences and they think like, oh,
- 57:51Speaker 1: I just react this way. And maybe sometimes they go
- 57:54Speaker 1: straight to the Internet, which make it even more bigger
- 57:56Speaker 1: because they not from the same state. That's the only
- 57:59Speaker 1: form of communication at that point. So it's like you
- 58:01Speaker 1: making shit bigger than what it is instead of just
- 58:03Speaker 1: getting on the phone. A lot of niggas avoid getting
- 58:06Speaker 1: on the phone. A lot of niggas avoid being accountable
- 58:08Speaker 1: for their actions. A lot of niggas scared to get
- 58:10Speaker 1: on that phone and say, damn all, I bet this
- 58:13Speaker 1: is what it is, this is a misunderstanding. Well, maybe
- 58:14Speaker 1: we should link right here and we could settle it.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You know, a lot of niggas get on that Internet,
- 58:19Speaker 1: and it's like and it shit could be something as
- 58:22Speaker 1: simple as a phone call. Two niggas getting on the
- 58:24Speaker 1: phone that don't nobody know, nobody, nobody even need to
- 58:28Speaker 1: know the nature of the conversation. But when you go
- 58:30Speaker 1: on the internet and you said something about this nigga,
- 58:32Speaker 1: you don't know, it's a hundred other niggas that love him,
- 58:34Speaker 1: you know what, probably not even on that, but a
- 58:36Speaker 1: hundred other niggas that love him. Now you can't even
- 58:38Speaker 1: do a show in this city. You can't do this,
- 58:40Speaker 1: you can't do that, And it become real beef when
- 58:43Speaker 1: y'all ain't from the city and it ain't no blood shit,
- 58:45Speaker 1: it becomes bloodshit over prize the Internet. And you know what,
- 58:48Speaker 1: I think some people are scared to get on the
- 58:50Speaker 1: phone because they're afraid of this internet shit on the
- 58:52Speaker 1: other side of it filming in corner. But at the
- 58:55Speaker 1: end of the day, it's like, if you confident as
- 58:57Speaker 1: a man, if you on the phone saying some sucker shit,
- 59:01Speaker 1: that ain't that's your problem. If you're on the NSC nigga,
- 59:05Speaker 1: I'm this and none of that, then you get on
- 59:06Speaker 1: the phone and say some sucker ship you deserve to
- 59:08Speaker 1: get recorded. But if you're on the phone being a man,
- 59:11Speaker 1: that being solid. Yeah, it ain't even that serious. Bro.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I feel like you did this, I did this. Fuck it,
- 59:17Speaker 1: It's cool, bro. It ain't even no thing. I don't
- 59:19Speaker 1: feel like less of a man because everybody's in the
- 59:21Speaker 1: same cities. You end up in LA, you end up
- 59:23Speaker 1: in Atlanta. You ain't like on New York for that,
- 59:25Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I want to have those
- 59:28Speaker 1: allies with people. If I go to Atlanta, I need
- 59:30Speaker 1: to be able to call somebody in Atlanta that I
- 59:32Speaker 1: fuck with. If I'm strengded, not even got nothing to
- 59:34Speaker 1: do with, no street shit. If I'm stranded, I need
- 59:36Speaker 1: a it's good to go to this restaurant right here. No,
- 59:39Speaker 1: it ain't, you know what I'm saying, La Saint Louis,
- 59:42Speaker 1: New Orleans, wherever I'm at, Vice versa. Bro, you gotta
- 59:45Speaker 1: build it, especially being an artist. It's like, ain't no
- 59:47Speaker 1: such thing as being on your own. I don't believe
- 59:50Speaker 1: in that, Bro. I feel like we're all stronger together, period.
- 59:53Speaker 1: So I don't believe in that rap this like that.
- 59:56Speaker 1: They never raped this. The nigga from our city. I
- 59:59Speaker 1: definitely ain't fro the be for the niggas from another city.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: What the fuck I'm doing that for? The more gangster
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: shit is to get on the phone. Get on the phone,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Get on the phone. That's the real gangster ship though.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: All the internet the gangster ship. Get on the phone,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: talk to what's up? What's going on? Bro? What's the word?
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: We're good, it's cool, it's cool. Or if it really
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: is a difference, let's link up and solve it. Or
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: if it's gonna whatever, it's gonna be, keep it off
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: the internet. Let's do this amongst men. So at the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: end of the day, our family safe, our friends safe,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: our name safe, our brand, our career is safe. We

- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you know, go on. You know who's George. That's George
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Clooney's side to Q. Yeah he sold it. He sold it,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: actually did he? Yeah? He sold it. Shit good fod
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: cash out as he should. Yeah, yeah, as he should
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: cash out. This album? You you did the two side.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: If it was fucking two thousand and six, it'd be
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: a double disc, right, Yeah, so it's a double album.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: What was the motivation behind doing that? Because I don't
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: feel like we see that a lot anymore. Yeah, it
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: took for me to really get out here and here
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: for other people that it's like people haven't really been
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: doing this shit. But my whole inspiration behind the double
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: album was bro. I put so much like time for
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: into the music and what I'm trying to the message
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to get across behind Survivors Mores, you know,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: like the shit that I'm talking about when the interviews
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: is deep, I can't really talk about through my music,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: like right, you know what I'm saying rappers don't really
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: do like and to lose and skits and shit no more.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But I really do want
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to get back to that. To be honest, I want
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to get back to skits and shit. So when y'all
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: start doing all that shit, man, don't be trying to
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: bite my sauce. You feel what I'm saying. But anyways,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I feel the whole point of me doing that was
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: to create that that that that atmosphere of the survivor side,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: the triumph side, you know what I'm saying, Like it's
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a it's triumph for me when I wake up and
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I'm able to get into all my cars, and you
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, to be able to like Throughout
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: my career, I never really blended with my peers musically,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: like I've been knowing Future. I've been fucking future future
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: and been on my on a the hood game. I
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: didn't put up on Future on Seny third and Kingston
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: or Nigga thirty feet away from my grandma house. That
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I'm saying, I can't even go right there. You feel
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I didn't put up on the future
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: right there before. He didn't have been in my hood.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I've been fucking with future, you know, what I'm saying,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Like I've been fucking with Meek saying, been having me
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: and Kodak was on the Freshman cover together. This is
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: our first song ever doing together cover. I've been having
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a like interactions with off sets and hey Boogie, that's
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: my brother. He been on been on two three of
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: my albums. You fee what I'm saying. But I'm saying
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I all let to say like I never embraced my
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: true rapper stardom or me being she HEARDing people fuck them.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I know they fuck with me because I'm around them.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I'm in the studio with these niggas building relationship. I
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: never really told nobody to get on the song or
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: none of that. You know what I'm saying. But at
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the end of the day, I know they fucked me.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I could have always like make a tell you throughout
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: my career. He always like, bro, go get songs from
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: these niggas. Do songs. I'm telling them like, yeah, shit,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I was just in the Steward, Bro, what you was
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: on today? I'm in the Steward Pluto. I was in
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Steward thug me with chilling like, wh I ain't no song.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I'm like, shit, I ain't even asking for no song
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: to be honest, but you know what, that's me. That's
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: also also like that's why people fuck with you because
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: it's a genuine friendship. It's not something I'm just trying
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: to fuck with niggas and vibe out because at the
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: end of the day, I know I'm good. I'm building
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: my shit for sure. For sure when it come to
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: me building my own, I'm gonna do that. And I
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: ain't never really ask nobody to help me do that,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So for me to do that,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the survivor side is really like a moment of triumph,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Like I feel like now I'm able to do that
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: because my thought process is different, Like sometimes I just
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: want to be around niggas and get inspiration because I
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: gotta go right back to the churches after this. Now
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: that I'm living life a little differently, I felt like
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: it's easy for me to interact with my peers a
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: little differently, you know what I'm saying. So that was
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: the survivor side of it, just me and like embracing
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: the fact that I am that nigga, I am g herbo,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you feel I'm saying, I could get in the studio
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: with the best of them, and I could hold my
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: own weight or I could be around the best of them,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: and like, I'm really having my way for real. You
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying. I got cribs in La Cars,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I got all the shit to just you know what
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I'm saying talk about I never really talked about that shit.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: You feel me. That's crazy that that's the first record
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: you have a Kodak, Yeah, the Ya Kodak And we
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: was Freshman Covers on the Freshman cover together and I
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: fuck with Kodak. Shout out to bro. You feel what
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like when we really like connected on some
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: man and man shit, I fuck with him. He had
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: good nigga, you know. And you know, the remorse side
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: of it is me understanding everything that I come from.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: The remorse side of knowing, like that's the reason that
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the remorse side is the reason why I never really
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: embraced going to hang with other artists. So I never
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: flexed the fact that I always hit a nice ass
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: condo downtown. I always had jury, I always had money.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: I was always able to afford the shit. I didn't
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: really brag about it because it's people that I really
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: care about that can't afford their luxury, and I was
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: thinking for them and for a long time, but at
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the end of the day, I realized I gotta think
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: for myself, and I could never help anybody unless I
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: think for myself. Because I'm the leader, I'm the I'm
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the one that's finna go out and go get all
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: the money and make this shit bigger than life. So
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I gotta think for myself. And sometimes it sounds selfish,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: but it's not, because I know I'm not a selfish person.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I know for a fact I'm gonna always look out
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: for my people, but I gotta think for myself first.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: And that's the remorse I understanding that, Damn I wasted
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: so much time thinking about the wrong shit when I
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: really should have just been thinking about myself the whole time,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: and this shit would have probably been ten times bigger
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: this day. You feel me, And that's Survivors of Morse.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: That's why I did a double side of album because
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: everything I lost along the way, I always been able
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to talk about it. I always talked about it, but
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: people don't see like I done. Had a conversation with
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: my Man's my homie Love when he from New Orleans.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: He like, Bro, you don't show shit like you don't
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: show when you buy new cars. You don't show when
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: you buy jury, you don't show when you got money
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: on you. You don't show none of that because it
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: don't excite me. It ain't nothing that I feel like
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I need to show. It ain't for nobody to see
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: unless I'm finna show you how to get this shit. Yeah,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I mean it's not. I think that's I think that's
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: a positive that that you don't positive. I just think
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: like that. But at the end of the day, I
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: feel like I never did that because I always feel
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: like if you don't think I got this ship, you stupid.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: You don't think I'm really having my way out here,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: You really fucking dumb. I gotta put it in your
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: face for real. I think that's why your ain't no
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: point of me putting this in your face. You know
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I could, you know, but I don't
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: get nothing from it, So it's like, who am I
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: doing it for me? All you get it don't satisfy me.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Certain people would really satisfied, like, yeah, I gotta put
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: in to make me feel good as a validation ship
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that ship don't make me feel good. It's a validation,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So it's like, that's the
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: vivals of Morse for me, you know, to be able
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: to be on both sides of the playing field. Bro,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I still got people who I love that's in the trenches. Bro,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: my grandma died in the trenches. I could have been
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: moved her. My grandma was into that type of ship.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: My grandma could have been living in whatever the funk
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: she wanted through. I would have moved her before my mama.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I make my mama live my grandma. You feel me
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: together exactly. But my grandma wouldn't known that. She been
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: told me before I ever hear any money. She said,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I'm dying on Kingston. She meant that ship. She's I'm
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: dying right here on this block. I'm not moving. You
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: feel me. And I got aunt ties and all type
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of cousins and shit that's still in the trenches that
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: don't want that though. They want to get out. So
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: them the people who I care about, my friends and
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: shit like that. You know what I'm saying. But it's
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: just it's hard being on both you know, being on
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: both sides of the field. Where you like you're a
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: leader here being the leader there, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: where it's like I'm the leader of my household, I'm
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the leader of everybody that really depends on me, and
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: not even the leader like in the trenches of the streets,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I'm the leader because I'm the vessel, the person that
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: they looking at, like, damn, he could really change our situation,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: you feel me, But I can only I feel the
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: more I elevated, the more I like learn life, I
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: could only provide somebody opportunity. Talk about the school that
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: you own, Yeah, because I think that's dope. Over to school.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: I partner, you know, me and my partners. We got
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: a school. It's in Chicago, right, yeah, on the South side,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: on the South side of Chicago, like in the hard
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: you feel I'm saying, And that was just something that
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: you know, I was like, I was hands on, don't
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: get me wrong, but it was just like a good idea.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Then they're like, all right, bet investing this ship. You
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying, And we got the school. But
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: it was important to me because I come from youth centers.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I come from you know, Sandy six and Phillips c
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: why I see you know my auntie, my aunt, my
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: aunt Micheline, she enrolled me in the center when I
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: was a kid, to just get me out of trouble,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: get you the way on Live j T. That was
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: like a father figure for me growing up. And he
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: died like the worst of the worst kids of the neighborhood.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Like not worse, but like we wasn't bad kids. We
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: was just trouble kids who was in poverty and under
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: certain circumstances. We wasn't bad kids, bro. If we would
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: have stayed in that ship and we had somebody like myself,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: a Dereck Rose or Kanye or somebody who who whoever
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: the fuck it could have been, to come right here
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: and show us like hell no, we finna get y'all
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: the resources to be great. I guarantee you a lot
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: of us would have came out millionaires. By the way,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: this lawyer's artists, NBA players. When that shit got tooken
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: away from us, a lot of us died, a lot
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: of us went to jail, a lot of us just
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: turned to the streets. You feel I'm saying so I
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: believe in that my first time ever going to an
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: NBA game ever going out of this fucking to some account,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: was through that center. So that's why I invested in
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: the school to turn that into that for the positive,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: something place for people to get out of the streets
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: and to find a trade. Like whether we're gonna put
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: a studio in there. We're gonna have arts in there,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: culinary in there, We're gonna have a fucking what's the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: colding computer code? It's important, videoography, whatever you want to do.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I don't care if we don't even got a room
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: for whatever you want to do. If you it's a
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: practical trade, We're gonna put the practical trade resource engineering,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: because not everybody being the rapper and you're not gonna come.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: We're not gonna come in for our call and say,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: hey man, I need you to come teach these kids.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Whether I pay you or where you're doing off the
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: love niggas fuck with me. Somebody gonna come and show
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: these something tangible. Like I'm in the hood all the time.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I don't brag on it on record, I'm in Chicago,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: but I'm there all the time, and I'll let people
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: see me. I'll let kids see me because I'm something
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that they look at as an influenceer role model. But
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: they don't have to look from on the internet. They
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: don't got to see me bad and be like, damn,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I want a car. Fuck, I don't even know how
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to get this shit. I'm gonna rob you feel me. No,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: you don't gotta do that. I'm gonna show you how
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: to get this ship and they I'll show you how
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: to make cars, build cars, whatever you want to do.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna put right here for you so you can
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: have your innocence, so you could keep your charisma, so
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you could build your talent, build a trade and be
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: the best you you could be. That's what's important for
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: me because if it wasn't for rap, if it wasn't
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: for me just being chosen by God, I'd be dead
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: on jail. Bro. God is the reason why I'm here
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: right now. We got to think about too, like you know,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: not just in bad neighborhoods, but just period. Like I
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: think like trade schools got to be more prevalent because like,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: think about it, like, bro, Bro, first of all, you
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: go to college a deep subject, but I can talk
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: about it, talk about it. I feel it in my
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: chest when not talking. Just think about this, like if
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: you go to college for some bullshit degree that you
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: end up racking up a quarter a million dollars in
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: a student dead and then you're making eighty grand a
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: year entry level. It's like, wodn't like what did you do?
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Isn't the more practical thing to be? Like, I want
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to be a graphic designer. I want to be an electrician.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I want like these are things that like you know,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: are like, don't take as much band with, don't put
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: you in a financially fucked place, and like not everyone's
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: built for college. We'd be pushing this college shit because
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: it's a big business not and it's like the certain
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: it's like we're having somebody like myself or having the
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: resources where you want to be electrician, you want to
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: be uh, somebody had their own construct barber, a constructor
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: contract or whatever. You could be a barber that really
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: but you you build your so much? Now you are
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: a million dollar Yeah now you onw ten't for just
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: learning how to capitalize off this ship? Bro. By the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: time you thirty five, you a million dollar nigga. You
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: got twenty barber shops. Yep, I'm twenty seven years old.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: If I would have did anything else the same way
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: that I would have been able to chase rap and
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: chase my dreams and just be better and better and
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: better and better every year. I would have been a
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: million that regardless, because I got this got it in you. Yeah,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: you've been a millionaire. Whatever the fuck I did. You
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying. But now I choose this, I'm
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: gonna be a billionaire. I'm one hundred million out this shit. Yeah, man,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: So with me being that, I could spread it. I
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: could make ten fifteen millionaires off the muscle. Just hunh.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: You had this shit. It ain't gonna take nothing from me.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I'm already good. I promise I'm good. I Aint gonna
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: never have to do shit. My kids ain't gonna never
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: have to do shit. I ain't gonna never have to
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: go back to the hood. Nothing right now. If I
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: stop sharing, and I think it's why I stopped rapping
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: the mom I'm gonna be good. I promise I'm gonna
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: be great, my kids gonna be great, everybody gonna be great.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I think it's a why would stop. Yeah, it's important
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: to this. I can help y'all all get this ship. Yeah,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: I was gonna say most people don't. Most people don't
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: have that mind state. They don't want to share the wealth.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: You know what I mean. The fact you're passionate about
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: that is it is great because you know, if more
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: people are passionate about that, like you said, imagine if
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: there was thirty of you in Chicago instead of just
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you or that's you and whoever chances don't talk about
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: it you feel, I'm saying because it can be well
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: who else? I know there are other artists in Chicago
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: that are helping Chance do a lot of shit. Dirt
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: do a lot of shit behind the scene, Polo do
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: a lot of shit. You found. I'm saying, but it
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: need to be broadcasting. We need to come together and
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: do this ship. See that's the kind of shit that
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: should make blog. We should do some shit. Fuck it
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: like I'm gonna say it here. We should do a show,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: a big ass show me Dirt, Chance, Polo, fucking Baby Keith,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: everybody come back to the United States. Do a big
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: ass show and give all the proceeds to LORI Life
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Foot and get that ship to all the schools, get
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: that ship to the mayor and whatever we need to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: do it. I'm curious, how do we feel about Lori life.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I love Lorid life. You probably have a real relationship
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: with her. I do. I feel like if for people
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: who aren't from Chicago or don't pay attention to like
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: what actually is going on there, we just see like
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: memes and ship and like, you know, I think the
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: memes is just like something funny. But I've literally never
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: heard anybody say anything like she's solid. Yeah, she's solid
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: in the city. She's solid. She don't do no funck shit,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Excuse my language. She don't
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: do nothing, nothing that is not beneficial to her people.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: And I love her for that. Well, I want to,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: because I feel like there's like the wrong narrative about
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: her sometimes now, she don't do nothing that's not beneficial
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: to her people or to the city of Chicago in general.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: You feel I'm saying, it ain't just about the trenches.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: She looking out for the city of Chicago, and it's
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: beneficial on all ends. And that's very poverty struck neighborhood,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: the rich neighbor it's such a it's such a company,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: the entrepreneurs. It's a very complicated city. To overlook, it's
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: a very complicated city. You gotta imagine if you go
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: to the North Side, what she they own to ask
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: about Konjack is this and it's small at ship and
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: it's like she can't do nothing about that. When they
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: come to the job, we got the most influenced. Ain't
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: nobody in a fucking trick. It's gonna listen to Lory
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: And even if they put like my thing is is
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: like you know, a lot of people are like, well,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you know, we always think of Chicago as like the
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: whenever gun violence gets discussed, Chicago always gets brought up automatically,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: and it's like, I don't think like you'll see conservative
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: politicians always use Chicago as like a fuck you to
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: the left, like what about Chicago? And I think it's
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: very like irresponsible because what they don't understand the reality
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: of certain areas of this country, not just Chicago, but
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: like putting more police on the South side of Chicago's
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: not going to do anything. It's not It's going to
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: make everything even more because at the end of the day,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the police and I give I'm gonna give you credit
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: on the outside looking in, you only looking at trying
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: your job to try to make this ship better, which
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: you don't fucking know how is with using force and
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: a lot of these police aren't You're not from the neighborhood.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: You don't know these fucking kids from a candapaign. You're
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: looking at them like they'll kill me immediately. Just how
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: you thinking the police all kill you? They looking like
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: he'll kill me because they're objectives to get home to
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: their kids. Get home. The main objective is getting home.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: No matter what the fuck you do. The main objective
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: is getting home. That's the name of the game. You
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying, and I understand that. So it's
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: like with understanding that you gotta think. With all the
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: kids and the niggas that's carrying guns and doing all
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: this wild shit, you gotta compare it to something simple
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: like basketball. You feel me like when you a real
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: elite athlete, you got that dog in you. When I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: get on that hardwood, I'm killing anybody. Don't give a
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: fuck if you my favorite player. That's why I love
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: John Morit. I don't give a fuck if you my favorite.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: If you get in front of me, well I'm trying
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: to go. I want to go to the championship. That's
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the nigga. Getting home is the championship in the trenches, nigga,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna do whatever necessary. It's the championship of the trenchers,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and it's also the championship of being a cop. I'm
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: just saying, the cops in the trenches, that's your name
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: of the game. The cops is in the trenches with us,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: that's the name of the game. I'm trying to win
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: the championship. I gotta get home. So we're saying that.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I'm saying, niggas, who all in when you're doing all
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: this And I'm talking from the outside looking in, But
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I understand when niggas up against this shit and they
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: carrying guns and they doing all this wild shit and
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: all this killing, you know what. They trying to get
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: to the championship. They trying to eliminate the competition to
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: get home. That's why all the killing going on. Niggas
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: want to get home, Bro. They don't want to carry
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: them fucking guns. You' thinking they're going to end up
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: in the county. You're thinking you want to go to jail.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: You're thinking that you want to die. Don't nobody want that.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: They want to live like me. Nigga want to live
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: like me. How all the shit that I got going on,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: So I'm gonna show you how to live like me.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Do you think Snoop did this in La where he
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: had met with the sheriff, the LA County Sheriff, to
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: try to help kind of bridge the gap between like
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: maybe some of the misunderstandings between the police and the community.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: And obviously it's a very rough place when the cops
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: ain't from the community. You know you. I always feel
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: like when there's community policing where it's like, yo, this
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: is where I'm from, I live, I grew up here, whatever,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: there's a lot more understanding, there's a lot more compassion.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Would that ever be something you'd be interested in doing,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: like maybe trying to help assist like the police, not
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: assist them to like arrest people, but a system understanding.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Hell yeah, yeah that's important to me, bro, because we
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: need police. If something happened to my mama, shave and
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: the car on nobody but the fucking police. We need police, bro.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: We need responsible police, police responsible belie. We need police
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: that's in the city that understand. We know your name, nigga,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: your mama live right here, she here, she good, Like
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: That's how it used to be and they could get
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: to that because I'm I come from a foundation. Bro.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I used to I listen to my old my mama's stories,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: my daddy stories. Oh here stories were like the whole
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: neighbor I used to when I was growing up. They say,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: the whole neighborhood, coul whoop your ass. You did something
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: the neighbor being your ass right here. You finna get
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: your ass beat right here in front of this house
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: for doing something I got. I tell you neighbors, know
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: your mama and try to come touch on these kids.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: They ain't gonna get your ass shot. It was back then,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: My mama and them said, the neighbors used to be
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: able to beat they ass until yeah, he did this,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: told the mama. She thank you, and then you're getting
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: your ass used to get to guarantee you. Somebody off
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: the neighborhood that know your mama, go try to run
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: up on the little able to get it. Man. If
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: they don't, they gonna beat your ass. They need to
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: get back to that. You need to govern our neighborhood,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: control our neighborhood, police our neighborhood, secure our neighborhoods. That's
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: the only way it's gonna be safe for us because
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: at the end of the day, were the only neighborhood
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: that don't do it. The white neighborhoods do it. The Irish,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: the Jewish or whatever, the Arab every all these communities
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: do it. You know what I'm saying, And I admire that.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: It's no way that I could ever be a racist
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: because I admire the way that people stick together. We
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: need that, you feel, I'm saying, we need it for ourselves.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I could never even think about another culture and how
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: they look at us, because they look at us like
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: y'all crazy as hell. Y'all don't give a fuck about
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: each other. How the fuck we gonna care about y'all?
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: It's impossible. We gotta care about each other first. Ain't
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: nobody gonna give a fuck about us. We don't care
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: about each other, Why should they? I mean, I ain't
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: gonna give a fuck about the nigga that don't care
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: about itself. Like I said, I know, you can't help everybody.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: So if I'm trying to do this in a nigga
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: ain't even trying to help itself and get no money,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: what the fuck I'm gonna still try to give you
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: some money for as a as a black man. That's
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: how we think. So how the fuck you think somebody
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: on the outside, Look at what the fuck I'm helping
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: them forward? They ain't doing nothing but killing each other.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: It's the same thing, bro. Universal law is the same
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: no matter how you look at it. Bro, we gotta
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: think about universal law and principle. That's the only way
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: we're gonna get better. Yeah, man, I mean I think
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: a lot of people in your position it should preach that. Yeah.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: But I Bro, I just I just grew. Bro. I'm
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: just a grown man. I look at life totally different, bro,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: because I got shit that I care. But you got children, Hey, man,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I feel like once you have kids, man, you take
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: that father ship here every series. Bro, I can't I
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: can't lose. I can't lose in no way, I can't lose, right,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: you gotta. I'm assuming Conway's on the the pain version
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: of the b sad because I know Conway's got that pain,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: you know, that way to be sad. You know, Conway's
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: one of one of my favorite rappers in the world.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: And you know Bennie like the Poppet you found, Yeah,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: he's like the Benny's like the pop star Griselda. Benny
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: liked the poppy ship. Yeah, Conways like the pain. You
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. It came perfect, bro, I told
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I told me, I said, no, I need both of

- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I'm playing Bennie Shit, I'm playing Conway shit. Like you
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying. But it was certain times, you know,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you go through some shiit mentally only hit one song.

- 1:25:57Speaker 1: the ship he was saying. Man, shit different. It's Conways

- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Is that something that like, at this point in time
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: in your career, you think about what you say on
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: records because it could be misperceived. I don't. I don't
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: even think about how people miss misperceived me or miss
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: I'm here for what I'm here for. I feel like
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: God put me here to do what I'm meant to
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: do in life, and I don't think about it. Bro,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna be transparent, I'm gonna
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: be myself and at the end of the day, all
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: I ever did was try to help people. So it
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: is what it is. I don't even think too much
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: about it. I promise talk to like thugs character because
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: everybody I know just says he's just the greatest guy.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: He's the most generous guy, nigga, the most solid nigga, nigga,
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: one of the most solid niggas you're gonna ever meet
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: in life. You feel what I'm saying, it's crazy, like
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: he just so smart. I heard that nigga, like people
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: would think like this is one of the things that
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: really stood out to me about the like not fuck.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: The fact that he had genuine nigga, everybody that no
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: thug know that everybody that no thug. No, he cared
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: about everybody around him. Just how smart he is musically
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: and how you try to help that nigga told me said,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: nigga think like, oh what I'm doing this nigga tripping?
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: You know, weirdship. But who the fuck gonna be the
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Rick James or this generation? He said that. I said, damn,
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: sl that's you, that nigga. You feund I'm saying, like
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: being free the Prince, he said, both of them, He said,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: Prince Aninrick James, like, who's there three thousand of this?
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Yet all the bitches A gagster, you feel what I'm saying.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: A nigga that don't. By gagster, what I mean is
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: stand on tin and stand on what you believe in
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: and power to people around you, and and be one
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: hundred percent completely yourself no matter what nobody saying. Ain't
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: nobody gonna Ain't nobody gonna ever walk up the thug
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: and say I don't like how you did this? A no,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I mean, when I stand on all ten, you feel
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So What I mean by that is
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: when he said that, bro, it threw me out and
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: it gave me a whole another different like outlook on him, Like, no,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: this nigga, He's right, it is a different nigga. He's serious.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: This is the type of nigga that's like gonna change generations.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Slam just a genuine nigga.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: And at every song I got with him, he told
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: me to get on. I promise the song I put
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: out on Swervo, the ship we got on the album
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: of this ship. I ain't never sent Thug a record ever.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: He always like, huh, jump on this. You can have it.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: He told you can have this ship. It's crazy. Nobody
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: never did no ship like that. We had Snapdog on
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: the show and he was like, yeah, I've been hanging
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: out with Thug the last couple of years and he
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: noticed how the glasses all right squint. Yeah. Yeah. No,
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: I was with him when he did that. When I
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: was he was all together in the studio, he snapped.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: He snapped when he got his ass surgery. The next day,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: Doug was like, Yah, yeah, that's crazy. You feel I'm saying,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: that's so crazy. We was together. I literally we was
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: in the studio together. That was around the same time
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: we did Brief Slowness on that How crazy he sent
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Snapped to go get his eye surgery because he saw
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: him squinting. That's a great nigga, bro, It's not no nigga.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: Nobody's doing that. Who the fuck Finna see you squint
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: and say, man, you good? You need Nigga paid for
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: his eye surgery. Bro. I swear to god, he was
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: in the studio. We was all together. Me and Snap
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: did a song that day, and me and Thug did
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: a song that day, and the next morning, Snapped when
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: he got his eye surgery, Nigga was there and Thug
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: covered it. I was there. That shit's so crazy, and
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: I'm just like, Yo, that's some high character shit, a
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: nigga solid that dude's not signed to him, you know
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: what I mean. It's just a right nigga. Huh what
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: you need? You good? You feel what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: that's real, bro, that's some real nigga. Bro. You feel me?
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Like even watching the untrapped shit with Baby that she
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: ain't no game, bro, that nigga get him whatever he
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: gave baby, whatever the fuck he wanted to go rap.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: You feel me the same. That's just being a good
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: hearted nigga. You feel I'm saying, if you able to
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: do it, it ain't hurting him. You think that shit
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: don't hurt thug to go get a nigga this or
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: get a nigga some shine. You feel I'm saying that,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: don't you know? And I feel like as a people,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: that's why we're supposed to be even more adamant and
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: advocate about making sure that that man and his kids
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: is protected by all cults. Whatever it is. You feel,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: I'm saying, he is whatever, while he whatever, whatever happens happens,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: he's making sure he good and straight by any means,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying. And like I talked to
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: like Dolly, his sister, and she's like that, yeah, whatever,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: slamy good. You fee what I'm saying. Shit like that.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, and I understand
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: that they're not gonna let nobody really ind for real,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, because so serious situation. Yeah,
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: you just gotta really pray to he overcome that shit
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: and just embrace it. Whatever by any means, anything that
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: anybody ever called me on behalf of the Gun or
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: any nigga fuck with, I promise you I'm hands on
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: immediately you could call me in whatever, I'm gonna make
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: a way to do it because I understand it, you
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: feel what I'm saying. Whatever, any nigga fuck with, whether
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: it's somebody this big or this big, I promise if
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: it's anything I could do to help, I'm gonna do it.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: You mentioned a little Baby documentary. Would you ever let
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: someone kind of tell your story that way? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: you don't already already want to do something like that. Well,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: you know what I was thinking was like we think
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: of a fifty and like kind of how he's had
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: power and he's at BMF and like, I mean, obviously
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Showtime has a shyrack show, But I feel like somebody
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: in your position, Dirk's position, somebody like that, should like
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: take it upon themselves to do it. They said to
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: tell that story by it, because you know what's gonna
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: happen is in like five years or ten years when
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: they were gonna wake up and on Netflix, there is
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: gonna be a fucking show that's based It's gonna be
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: like the wire of Chicago, and it's gonna be someone
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: else taking advantage are situation. Let nobody take advantage of
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: our story. Someone's gonna try to do it, dude, nobody's
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: gonna tell our narrative because we already on it. You
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. It's gonna be too we already
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: on it. I think I tell my story for me.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I don't even mean yours. I just mean like anybody
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: the city of Chicago. I'm telling you. That's why unity
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: is so important, because at the end of the day,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: you gotta think about it, like I could tell stories
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: about Sosa from my own prospective, from my own point
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: of view. Dirt could tell stories about me. I could
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: tell stories about Dirk, I could tell stories about Polo.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: He could tell stories. You knowe what I'm saying. So
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: we got to come together and just build the crib
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: that way, Just build the crib together unity. Why would
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: we let anybody else or while we do it separately,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: when at the end of the day, this shit could
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: at long, this little shit that we just coming together
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: for two three months could feed one hundred families. Some
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: shit we just putting together and like that together though, Yeah, together,
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: that's important. Unity is what I'm preaching. That's the most important. Shit.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: That's that's big from a city that is known to
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: not have a lot of that exactly. Yeah, what is
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: uh for you? You just spent all those artist shouts
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: of Polo G shot out to Dirk. Would you guys
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: ever do like a fucking crazy tour? I a would
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: love it. We've been all like people already got it
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: in their head. I'm sure every last person that I
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: named and't thought about it, you feel I'm saying, But
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: we just got to put it into perspective. You know
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: what I'm saying, ain't no and you know something that
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: I learned, Like I was preaching that when I was
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: a kid, like in the streets, like ain't no big
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: ass a little use. I always remember that ain't no
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: big ass or a little use. You gotta remember that
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: no big ass or a little use. You feel what
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's like we all equal, we all. I
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: don't look at myself above nobody. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: What dig make me bigger than you? Money don't make
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you bigger than me. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: at the end of the day, we all have things
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: that we could learn from you know what I'm saying
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: within each other? You feel me? So once you look
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: at life like that, no big ass, a little use,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: it'll make you like all I bet we could put
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: shit together. Have you uh taken it upon yourself at
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: all to be a big homie than any of the
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: young artists coming up? And because I mean, I'm sure
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: that there's a artist that you've seen making mistakes that
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: maybe you've made it in past. Yeah, I don't mind
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: like talking about like my mistakes that I made or
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, shit that I've been
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: through to I could try to help other artists, you
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, come from under and I just
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: I feel like my my position and this shit is
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: really just trying to just light another candle. If I
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: could do anything to just make your shit bigger, if
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: I could give you a verse, a look or anything
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: pop out on the shit you're definitely getting you out.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. You feel I'm saying it don't
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: make me no, never, man, I don't give a fuck.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: I don't even gott to know you personally. I could
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: just know somebody that manage you. I can know your
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: cousin and ah, y'all fuck with you. I see you
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: popping up on the albums up like I loved when
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I saw you on Mazzi's album. Like there's certain like shit,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Ozzi my brother. I'm saying. People don't know that. I'm
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: gonna always say. I'm always pre model my help the MASI.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: You fee what I'm saying, free broke, that's my brother.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: I feel. I always hear love from Mazzi since the beginning.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: I spent weeks in Sacramento when niggas just telling me like, yeah,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: this nigga ain't Mazzi. This is like twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: You feel me before all of this shit, before I
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: was even as b You feel what I'm saying, so honestly,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: that's my brother. I'm always I'm gonna always show a
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: little to any nigga that I can, no matter who
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: it is. Bro I got tazed with niggas from this city.
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: That city is city because I just did solid shit
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: you feel I'm saying, and I don't even use it.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: I probably might get to a nigga city don't even
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: call and be like, oh, what's up, let's link because
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: I'm thinking about so much shit. I got so much
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: going on, I don't even get a chance to really
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: tap in. But I'm already tapped in because I did
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: some solid shit. You feel me? The new album I
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Fish Go run that ship up? Is there? What else
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: is on the way for you? More Man, Yes, Survivors

- 1:37:42Speaker 1: I'm excited for everything new artists on the way. And
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: people don't really know how I said it, Like me
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: and Sis have already been working on Big Swerve while
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: we're working on Survivors and more so Wow coming. I'm
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: in mold, bro. I'm not letting up. I ain't gonna
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: lie how I'm feeling right now. I'm not really taking
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: the foot off the gas right now. What is your
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: like label situation? Are you kind of like I'm still independent?
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: I was about to say, you're independent for people staying
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: entertainment Republican for people who don't know you're like, you're independent.
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: I'm independent, fully, yeah, independent a lot of people. I
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: don't think a lot of people realize that because you
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: do a lot of shit that you know, people like, yo,
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: he's got to be no, I'm independent, man, you know
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Weven built this shit from the ground up, you know,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: and that's the importance of it. I did all the
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: hard shit, bro. I ain't taking no shortcuts. Bro, I
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: ain't got no big looks. And I need this album
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: right now while I'm already big gee Herbo outside. Nigga,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: I've been outside for two years, right. I was on
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: side on the phone with Sizzle ever since my little
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: brother died. My little brother died January twenty eighth, twenty
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: and twenty one, right right, Greg did in twenty one
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: January twenty eight. So from there until now, I've been
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: outside thugging. I've just been outside just doing me and
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: I feel like that's what's building that. But guess what,
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: that's trauma that I've been dealing with. I ain't go outside,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: but come, I need to turn my shit up, Nigga.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: I was outside of just just to try to feel
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: and just try to get over the ship, get over
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: the grief I lost. My little brother. Nigga was everything
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: to me, you feel what I'm saying. So to be
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: able to like be why I am now and be
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: independent and everything just makes sense with me because I
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: bet on myself no matter what I'm going through the hardest,
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: toughest shit. What I'm trying to say is, I ain't
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: take no shortcuts, I ain't take no easy roles or
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: none of this shit. Nigga, I built this ship from
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: the ground up. Fan by fan, fan by fan. Nigga,
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: I built this shit from the ground up, and I
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: don't even pop it like that. I don't even pop
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: my ship. But at the end of the day, it
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: is what it is. Niggas ain't done what I done.
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: I ain't had no big looks, I ain't had no
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: major label push, I ain't had nothing. Every partnership I built,
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: every relationship, I built every feature I got, every song,
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: I did, every two idea. Nigga, I did the roughest,
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: toughest Nigga. I built this ship from the ground up,
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: and can't nobody take that from me. So I deserve
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: everything that I'm coming that's coming to me. Do you
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: feel like somebody who's taking that path that is extremely
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: the hard path, the long way right? Do you feel
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: like when you see like artists talking about they're black ball,
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: do you feel like that's a real thing. I feel
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: like it is a real thing, but it's not you
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: feel me. I feel like when artists say they blackball,
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: it's about accountability, nigga, you blackball yourself at the end
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: of the day, you feel what I'm saying, it's about
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: certain things you've done, or certain things you may have said,
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: or ways you may have done it. But at the
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: end of the day, you're not wrong for that. You're
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: not wrong for being yourself. This is an industry full
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: of reasons why niggas can't be theirself. It's a fake
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: ass industry. It's a bullshit industry. It's an industry full
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: of niggas that's afraid to be theyself. So at the
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: end of the day, when you feel like you blackball,
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: you may be. But at the end of the day, nigga,
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: even if you are, I'll promise you it's always right
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: at the end of the tunnel, real nigga's gonna always win.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: So if you're a real nigga, just be yourself and
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: do the next best thing. You feel what I'm saying,
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: like black all, it is real, It's true. But at
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: the end of the day, but they can only so much,
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: so much because the Internet is the Yeah, the Internet
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: is just so when you try to build and bet
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: on yourself, and do the next best thing. You feel
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: what I'm saying, that's the that's the thing. That's why
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: I don't believe in the black ball because the Internet
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: is so powerful. It's so powerful and if the Internet
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: came black ball you, if they fuck with you, if
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: the industry black ballue in the Internet fuck with you,
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: You're gonna still win. That's why young Boy still win
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: it period. You feel me, people gotta fuck with you,
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: and being young boy is the most anti industry, the
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: most anti industry nigga ever you feel, I'm saying, you
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: gotta give a nigga they credit. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: I saw, Yeah, I saw. That's what I mean. Did
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: you see what Russ just said. Russ pretty much was like,
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: you know, it's not as long as the Internet is
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: alive and you have fans, you have fans, you can't
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: you can't be black ball. It's impossible, bro, you feel
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: I'm saying, So people have to, like you said, people
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: to take accountability, to take accountability and just say all right,
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: bet I fuck in the mirror, the mirror and say
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: all right, bet let me build even if you don't
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: apologize on the internet, let me just think about myself
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: right now, build this ship back up organically front of mud,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: because if you're a hustler or a street nigga, you
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: know you're gonna go down to zero. Get yourself back up.
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: You gotta understand that's the name of the game. Don't
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: take this ship personal, nigga. When you take a loss,
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: don't blame the labels, don't blame nobody, mirror I fucked up.
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: Let me get this ship right, point blank, period. That's
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: just what it is. That humility is missing, man. This
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: is what it is. Accountability and humility, two trades every
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: grown man should have. And I know that, and I
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: understand that because I built this ship from the ground
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: and niggas when niggas was over here betting on that,
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: they like, I'm betting on this and then when that
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: sh it ain't work, now nigga back betting on me.
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: But you wasn't betting on me. Then I always betting
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: on myself, so you could never blackball me. I could
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: never take it personal. I'm not gonna look at you like,
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: oh you a fuck nigga. You was fucking him two
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: years ago. Now you fuck with me, all right, bet
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: appreciate you for fuck with me, fuck with you too. Yep,
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: That's where I'm at. I don't cap out none of
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: this ship, bro. Take that ship personal. Bro. Well, listen,
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: the album is out. By the time this drops, the
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: album will be out, or it'll be coming out the
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: next day. Man, be sad. Listen, man, I'm super proud
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: of you. You're killing it. Appreciate it. I cannot wait
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: to hear this album. Yeah, and I ain't gonna lie
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: like the urs, just like how I'm feeling right now.
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: It just make me like it make me think about
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: shit different. I'm a pop it different. I'm gonna be
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: humble different, I'm gonna be cocky different, like everything is.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: I feel like it's just the next level for me
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: in life. You know what I'm saying. I'm just grateful
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: to be leveling up on all levels. I'm just grateful
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: career wise, mentality wise. Now we just gotta get you
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: some mushrooms. Nah, for sure, I'm gonna fuck with it,
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: but I don't fuck with it. Yeah, there it is, man.
