- 1:31Speaker 2: I ain't gonna say that next year maybe next year maybe,
- 1:35Speaker 2: but next year, by then it'll be too late. Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 2: I understand him, though.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Well, they did just interview you, so you have to
- 1:40Speaker 1: be nice. It's the last post I just saw on
- 1:42Speaker 1: your ig. Yo. How are we feeling about your team making?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Monty Williams the richest coach ever my former coach.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I don't know. He just got fired.
- 1:56Speaker 1: He did because two years in a row game sevens,
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Sons got embarrassed in eliminated.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm all for it. If he's gonna help us, he's.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Gonna build culture and help the young guys. Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I want wins though, you got, Yeah, we need wins
- 2:10Speaker 2: like that.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You got. Who's gotta stay healthy. Ivy is a beast beast.
- 2:15Speaker 1: What's the big dude named? Is it? Duran?
- 2:17Speaker 2: Jay Lin Dura?
- 2:18Speaker 1: And then James Wiseman's on the Pistons, which is random.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's random, but I feel like if you get healthy,
- 2:24Speaker 2: you can grab a lot of boards and block a lot.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Of got traded to the Hawks. I don't know who
- 2:29Speaker 1: else is on the Pistons.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I think Isaiah Stuart is Stuart.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Oh, Isaiah Stewart. That's the guy who who through the
- 2:36Speaker 1: fade with the lebron.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I think he's a great Google guy.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He's kind of like a big pat bav.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I wanted to see who who would get with the
- 2:44Speaker 2: number four. I think we got number five pick.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I was really I was truly rooting for the Pistons
- 2:49Speaker 1: to get the Webinianna.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that would have been crazy. I would have got
- 2:53Speaker 2: season tickets or Sundays we got to pick.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I feel like two or three years in a row,
- 2:57Speaker 1: y'all kind of like, y'all you guys got But then
- 3:01Speaker 1: was it last year? Who y'all you guys had Ivy.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You guys drafted two players lat year? I mean Dura, right? Yeah?
- 3:07Speaker 2: I think I think Ivan Duran and k was some
- 3:09Speaker 2: great pickups. I like how Ivy can squirre the ball
- 3:13Speaker 2: from every level basically, and I like I like Jalen
- 3:19Speaker 2: during I like his aggression, like he he eighteen years
- 3:24Speaker 2: old attacking the boards like Dennis Roden.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Have you performed at the Pistons game?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Nope, I put the eye intro. I think I did
- 3:30Speaker 2: the introduction before.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Nice. You know what I find to be bullshit is
- 3:34Speaker 1: if you go to the Little Caesars Arena, they don't
- 3:36Speaker 1: have five dollars little Caesars pizza. I've heard.
- 3:38Speaker 2: No, it's more than that.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's very disappointing. Imagine you go to a game, by
- 3:44Speaker 1: the way, it's a Piston game, so the tickets are cheap.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Probably you're probably we better eat good tonight. We about
- 3:49Speaker 1: to get us a five dollar pizza at the Little
- 3:50Speaker 1: Seasons Arena.
- 3:52Speaker 2: What but when you get floor seats, you can go
- 3:55Speaker 2: get free pizzas.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You do, Yeah, free Little Caesars pizza is very It's
- 3:59Speaker 1: like free seven eleven coffee. It's like, yeah, thanks, you know,
- 4:02Speaker 1: it was kind of free anyway. Yeah, anyway, but no,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I feel like you've been on your ship. You obviously
- 4:08Speaker 1: just dropped the Deluxe to your project that you dropped
- 4:10Speaker 1: in December. Tell me about the bidding war that you
- 4:15Speaker 1: went through before you landed with Inner Scope.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It was a crazy being worried. Before I got within
- 4:22Speaker 2: the Scope gifts, I had so many people. I had
- 4:26Speaker 2: people trying to backdoor people I ain't even know, like
- 4:30Speaker 2: like you know, you know, you don't know your worth
- 4:32Speaker 2: like when it come to like music, just until you
- 4:36Speaker 2: get like into music business, right, and then it just
- 4:39Speaker 2: helped me know my worth. It was just a crazy
- 4:42Speaker 2: being word with from one number to another number, with
- 4:47Speaker 2: what certain circumstances. Then they get took out of like
- 4:51Speaker 2: the contracts and all that they changed.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So yeah, it's almost like your leverage was going up
- 4:55Speaker 1: probably in the middle of all that.
- 4:57Speaker 2: In the middle of it.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Like hey, we might have talked a month ago, but
- 5:00Speaker 1: this ship's gotta look you gotta take this out. You
- 5:02Speaker 1: gotta take this out.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Like like I I had talked to giffn it. They
- 5:07Speaker 2: was like, I was damn their signed right, and then
- 5:11Speaker 2: the lawyer had didn't send the contract like kept playing
- 5:14Speaker 2: on sitting the contract and they almost sound with somebody
- 5:18Speaker 2: else who oh you know where Jeff Vayne at I
- 5:22Speaker 2: forgot where Jeff Vine at but he signed young Boy.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Forgot where he was at Colombia. He went somewhere else.
- 5:30Speaker 2: But I almost signed with a couple of people. Capital
- 5:32Speaker 2: was on the Atlantic was on me, and we had
- 5:35Speaker 2: United Master or something United Masters.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I heard it is dropped. They got a big extra
- 5:40Speaker 1: plug right now, Yeah, they had. I had a lot
- 5:43Speaker 1: of people, any rapper traitors on you, like, like I
- 5:46Speaker 1: feel like CMG is like the type of thing where
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yogotti would just bring you like like five hundred thousand
- 5:50Speaker 1: dollars in cash and be like here you go.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know it's it's all type of politics
- 5:55Speaker 2: that go into that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Right right right, because yeah, yeah, I forgot who else was? Yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 1: I for sure speaking. I was surprised to see It
- 6:04Speaker 1: was very dope to see you and T get together.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But obviously him inside I have like an interesting history,
- 6:11Speaker 1: not necessarily like super crazy, but you inside I came up.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I mean, I've met you through side of baby? Was
- 6:17Speaker 1: that like a an easy project to make happen? Separative
- 6:22Speaker 1: like it.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Was an easy project to make happen because I don't
- 6:25Speaker 2: put my business and personal stuff together, and plus I
- 6:30Speaker 2: don't I don't get into people that already knew each
- 6:33Speaker 2: other business Like, I don't do that. I don't like
- 6:36Speaker 2: I think. I don't even think the world should know
- 6:40Speaker 2: that business is because it's just it's personal.
- 6:43Speaker 1: For sure.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'll try to separate personal feelings when I do business.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But t ain't doing nothing to me. I'm actually cool
- 6:54Speaker 2: as hell with Tea right now, Like we're coolest hell.
- 6:57Speaker 1: He's a great dude, a great dude, like I fuck
- 6:59Speaker 1: with him. Has he invited you to his grand theft
- 7:01Speaker 1: Ato server?
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah? He just he really just got my sh built.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He so, are you online like playing games?
- 7:08Speaker 2: I just got it built. He he sent somebody to
- 7:10Speaker 2: my house and he sent me.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Like, oh so you have like a gaming rig?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he built me like a six thousand dollars PC
- 7:17Speaker 2: or something. Oh shit, yeah, I just got built right
- 7:20Speaker 2: before I got to Cali, like three days ago.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So you're about to be You're about to be a
- 7:24Speaker 1: GTA acting and I'm Charles Jones the Mechanic. So in GTA,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you already had your character.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Charles Jones the Mechanic, and.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You can't break character while on the mic.
- 7:35Speaker 2: No, I'm Charles Jones the Mechanic. And if you need strikers.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I ain't saying I got him, but I ain't saying
- 7:39Speaker 2: I don't got him.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I love it for people who don't know what's happening.
- 7:44Speaker 1: There is this role playing online Pocket of Grand Theft Auto,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and if you're in it, you gotta play the character.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I ain't saying I got strikers, but I ain't
- 7:54Speaker 2: saying I don't got strikers.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Like, what is a striker?
- 7:56Speaker 2: I mean.
- 7:59Speaker 1: The things is, no, no strikers. I don't know what
- 8:02Speaker 1: a striker is. I don't play fast cars. Oh okay, okay, okay.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So you are the guy, You're the chop shop guy.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'm the mechanic. But I got strikers. If you all
- 8:11Speaker 2: need strikers called Charles Jones.
- 8:14Speaker 1: In the game, what happens if you break character? Do
- 8:18Speaker 1: you get killed?
- 8:19Speaker 2: I think you get put out the server? But I'll
- 8:21Speaker 2: never break characters, so I won't know.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I feel like that inadvertently, you being Charles Jones on
- 8:28Speaker 1: the GTA server is going to help your acting career shortly,
- 8:31Speaker 1: for sure, because you're gonna be in movies for sure.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'm calling it now. Have you ever like do you
- 8:37Speaker 1: have those aspirations?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm in a Toob movie that just came up.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Of course you are, Yeah, how terrible is that?
- 8:43Speaker 2: It wasn't terrible, it was fire. I was the lead
- 8:48Speaker 2: road bro.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I just go on Twitter every month or so and
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'll just type in Tooby and hit videos and just
- 8:53Speaker 1: see the clips. So you're you're the lead actor in
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Toob movie. What's it called? Outside? Are you outside
- 8:59Speaker 1: in it?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I'm outside?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah? How what's then? You can you give me a
- 9:04Speaker 1: synopsis of what the plot is.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It's basically talking about how kids jump in gangs and
- 9:11Speaker 2: be in the streets and I'm I'm going to school.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I get kicked out of school a lot. And the girl,
- 9:18Speaker 2: one of the yeah, like one of the girls in
- 9:22Speaker 2: the movie died and it was supposed to have like
- 9:25Speaker 2: we supposed to gave her a fake perk or something,
- 9:28Speaker 2: but it.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Just caused us to have so many ops.
- 9:31Speaker 2: People's online talking about it, all type of ship people
- 9:34Speaker 2: getting shot on live, Instagram Live basically is going on
- 9:38Speaker 2: your from the.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Trailer did you watch did you watch the Skiller Baby
- 9:44Speaker 1: h short or the Grizzy short films for his last album, No,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I didn't actually really good.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I gotta go watch it now.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Not a bad actor, very very like Uh, that whole
- 9:55Speaker 1: project was just like straight up like a visual like
- 9:58Speaker 1: if you if you ain't watching the fucking movies, you
- 10:01Speaker 1: probably not might not get it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I ain't gonna lie on and I told this to Tea.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I feel like this year, like other than him coming
- 10:10Speaker 2: out when he just blew up crazy big, I feel
- 10:14Speaker 2: like he been rapping like the best ever. Like I
- 10:17Speaker 2: feel like he just I've been in the studio with him.
- 10:20Speaker 2: He's been going he like he'd be making me be
- 10:22Speaker 2: like damn, what like.
- 10:25Speaker 1: You feel me? I'm gonna say, what is is it? A?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Is it? Is it something where you guys are cutting
- 10:30Speaker 1: some of these records and obviously you getting inspired to
- 10:32Speaker 1: go harder, but is there also any sort of like
- 10:35Speaker 1: friendly competition.
- 10:36Speaker 2: No, it's a friendly competition. Like I wanna get at
- 10:38Speaker 2: him on like we would never say it, but it's
- 10:40Speaker 2: like he would say something so crazy that I've like
- 10:43Speaker 2: the whole room would be like, man, you better go
- 10:46Speaker 2: at Lorg and then I'll say something He'll be like, man,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I got like t when I first met him, he
- 10:52Speaker 2: was just like he gotta do this one thing, like
- 10:55Speaker 2: they only talk about Little Wayne and jay Z doing
- 10:57Speaker 2: like where he just go to the mic and just
- 10:59Speaker 2: do a sixteen off just.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Off the top of his head, and it'd be like.
- 11:03Speaker 2: The craziest stuff I didn't heard and stuff. But then
- 11:06Speaker 2: he like, man, sometimes I gotta right because you'll be
- 11:08Speaker 2: saying some crazy stuff.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So I was gonna say, there's something about what's in
- 11:12Speaker 1: the water in Detroit right now? Between yourself, we talked
- 11:15Speaker 1: about cash Kid Baby Tron just these like great one
- 11:20Speaker 1: liners that you're just like.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Oh shit.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Or it's like, especially with the sports bars and shit,
- 11:26Speaker 1: like there's something about the sports bars that you have
- 11:29Speaker 1: that cash kids got that Baby Tron's just like Jesus,
- 11:32Speaker 1: they kind of got to know to know like random
- 11:36Speaker 1: NBA references and shit, like what's your favorite bar you
- 11:40Speaker 1: have in your phone right now that you've written recently.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Give me a line, give me one line that you
- 11:45Speaker 1: just you just wrote recently. You're like, ooh when people hear.
- 11:48Speaker 2: This, uh my my new way I killed people. I
- 11:55Speaker 2: let them wave.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Oh I like that. That's deep.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I said I found a new way to kill people.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I just let them live.
- 12:05Speaker 1: That's deep. I look forward to, Uh, I don't look
- 12:10Speaker 1: forward to but you know what's coming. There's gonna be
- 12:12Speaker 1: so many people making these Titanic submarine bars in the
- 12:15Speaker 1: next like two weeks.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I don't want to. I don't want to make fun
- 12:19Speaker 2: of that. People die, No, they died.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I feel like it's fucked up what's happening because it's
- 12:22Speaker 1: like a lot of people lost their life and it's
- 12:24Speaker 1: become like a joke online.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I think, uh, there's no sensor own people in the
- 12:31Speaker 2: world no more, and that's a big deal like that.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I think that's a big deal to me, Like people
- 12:35Speaker 2: making fun of people dying and stuff that's not like
- 12:38Speaker 2: when you do it in your own household or something
- 12:40Speaker 2: that's cool, Like when why put that.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Into the world for the world to consume White.
- 12:44Speaker 2: People like laughing that negative stuff, like going online and
- 12:48Speaker 2: trying to say the most negative stuff possible. It's not
- 12:50Speaker 2: funny to me.
- 12:51Speaker 1: How do you try to disconnect from like reading comments
- 12:55Speaker 1: or like paying too much attention to some of the
- 12:56Speaker 1: online shit because.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I used to not read them, Like I used to
- 12:59Speaker 2: not read them, and not just because it's negative. It's
- 13:01Speaker 2: just be like I don't want to get caught up.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And I know fame is a drug, like when you
- 13:06Speaker 2: how you have when you love you low. But I
- 13:08Speaker 2: read them not and I laugh at them. I do
- 13:11Speaker 2: order because I know myself I'm strong enough not to care.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You don't think subconsciously it might somehow like be up.
- 13:21Speaker 2: There no, because I know how to decipher fact from fiction.
- 13:28Speaker 2: So it'd be like, if you say this, I know
- 13:31Speaker 2: this ain't true, and if you say this, I know
- 13:32Speaker 2: it is true. So you do got the right to
- 13:34Speaker 2: say that because it's true. And then it just be
- 13:37Speaker 2: like I use a lot of it for motivation or
- 13:39Speaker 2: like I'm my biggest critic, so I just be wanting
- 13:43Speaker 2: to see what people do and don't like about me.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So do you feel like, because I feel like you've
- 13:48Speaker 1: improved immensely over the last few years, just as an artist,
- 13:51Speaker 1: as a rapper, do you ever go back and listen
- 13:55Speaker 1: to like stuff or hear stuff that's like maybe a
- 13:58Speaker 1: few years old, and be like, damn, I was like,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm so much better now, Like my.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Cigar, I swear, I listened to a lot of stuff
- 14:05Speaker 2: and my voice be like like like you said, I
- 14:08Speaker 2: got bigger and stuff, and then my voice used to
- 14:10Speaker 2: crack and I used to be like sounding like a
- 14:12Speaker 2: real little kid. So yeah, I was listening to somebody
- 14:14Speaker 2: was telling me the song that I made a few
- 14:16Speaker 2: years ago, and I was telling them like, man, I
- 14:19Speaker 2: sound like a kid that it was trash for sure.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I do that all the time.
- 14:24Speaker 1: How important is it for you to keep like pushing
- 14:26Speaker 1: yourself as as an MC because you care about I
- 14:29Speaker 1: feel like you. You're a high level rapper, you know
- 14:31Speaker 1: what I'm saying.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I talked to Chris Brown one time, like a couple
- 14:34Speaker 2: of weeks ago. I was at his rehearsal with Tea
- 14:37Speaker 2: and I asked him, like, how do you stay grounded?
- 14:40Speaker 2: And he told me I act like I didn't accomplish nothing. Mm,
- 14:44Speaker 2: So I think that's most That's the most important. You
- 14:46Speaker 2: act like you just like my coach used to tell me,
- 14:48Speaker 2: when I get in the end zone, act like I've
- 14:50Speaker 2: been there before. So I just act like I don't
- 14:52Speaker 2: do nothing. That's the biggest thing that a lot of
- 14:56Speaker 2: somebody told me in a while. Chris Brown told me
- 14:58Speaker 2: that I act like he acts like he don't haven't
- 15:00Speaker 2: accomplished anything.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Because if you let if you let your recent shit
- 15:04Speaker 1: get to your head, you're gonna get lazy, get lazy. Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 1: get complacent. Complacency is the worst shit ever. Man. Yeah, Chris,
- 15:11Speaker 1: that's a nice just hanging with Chris Brown. See a fan.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I don't think he's a fan. He remembered me from
- 15:19Speaker 2: when I met him with a few years ago. That's
- 15:21Speaker 2: one of the most humblest people I met. From my experience.
- 15:25Speaker 2: You my top two celebrities I ever met with G
- 15:28Speaker 2: Herbal and Chris Brown.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And you work with g Herbal. Yeah, what was that? Like?
- 15:33Speaker 2: It was coolest hell like.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Also like the nicest guy ever, cool motherfucker alive. Like
- 15:42Speaker 1: he recorded a lot of his album from like a
- 15:45Speaker 1: couple of years ago in my old studio that you
- 15:47Speaker 1: recorded at. Gee, he was the best.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That's what I like. I love him like a brother.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I just met him a few months ago. Like he
- 15:56Speaker 2: like he just wanted the nicest, humblest people, like you said.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And he's like one of the most like emotionally wise
- 16:02Speaker 1: artists I've ever met. Like he's very self aware, he's
- 16:04Speaker 1: aware of like what he says how can affect shit,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and like Superman, I love, I love you for sure.
- 16:13Speaker 1: What's coming? I mean, obviously the Deluxe just dropped, but
- 16:16Speaker 1: I already know you gotta have another album in the pipeline.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to drop an album in August or September.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I'm just working on making the meal. I want this.
- 16:26Speaker 2: When I do this album, I want it to be
- 16:28Speaker 2: like the best music I ever put out. I got
- 16:32Speaker 2: a few records that I know gonna go and yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 2: I'm just working a fielding and some records slot. I know,
- 16:38Speaker 2: like on a mixtape, it could be like some people
- 16:40Speaker 2: might not like this, some people might like this. Everybody
- 16:43Speaker 2: like this. I want every song to be at like that.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Non stop, no skips. You gotta have no skips for you.
- 16:52Speaker 1: You and Greedo work together, drop the video together. He
- 16:55Speaker 1: just left your shouts of Greedo. But uh give me
- 16:58Speaker 1: your like I you know, I do think there's this
- 17:01Speaker 1: correlation between the West Coast and Detroit. For whatever reason,
- 17:05Speaker 1: specifically the Bay gridles from LA but I think like
- 17:07Speaker 1: the Bay obviously Draco Grito, those guys have always been
- 17:11Speaker 1: so heavily tapped in with Detroit. What do you think
- 17:13Speaker 1: it is about the two sections that are very like.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I think forever Detroit, people like from Detroit been coming
- 17:22Speaker 2: to Cali and just tapping in. Even though we don't
- 17:26Speaker 2: we Like, we ain't had no big artists and stuff
- 17:28Speaker 2: like that, but we've been When you do something, you
- 17:31Speaker 2: move west. A lot of people move west and they
- 17:34Speaker 2: say to Bay like our cousins, a lot of them
- 17:37Speaker 2: artists come to Detroit.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Like.
- 17:39Speaker 2: So it's just like I just feel like we got
- 17:41Speaker 2: a lot of stuff in common and stuff that set
- 17:44Speaker 2: of the gang bang stuff, right, But Detroit is taking
- 17:47Speaker 2: a lot of gang bang culture and running with.
- 17:49Speaker 1: It though its own politics there for sure. Yeah, do
- 17:53Speaker 1: you feel like Detroit as a city has calmed down
- 17:56Speaker 1: in that aspect? In that way at least, I feel
- 17:59Speaker 1: like it's in terms of art working together, it feels
- 18:01Speaker 1: a lot more people work together.
- 18:03Speaker 2: People do work together, But no, it ain't calmed down
- 18:06Speaker 2: on like see artists, see artists and streets.
- 18:11Speaker 1: It's a whole difference for sure. But I feel like
- 18:13Speaker 1: even like five six years ago, artists weren't really moving
- 18:15Speaker 1: together like that.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think a lot of where I'm from,
- 18:19Speaker 2: a lot of people try to still be caught up
- 18:21Speaker 2: in the streets and still had his gigs, the image
- 18:27Speaker 2: and stuff like that when they don't have to, Like
- 18:29Speaker 2: I always say, like, even though I got stuff going on,
- 18:33Speaker 2: I'd never be a mad rapper, while would I'm be
- 18:36Speaker 2: mad and I'm making all this money and I'd have
- 18:38Speaker 2: changed my life, changed a lot of people's lives around me.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Why is everybody still mad? There's no point.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Has any of the like super ogs from like kind
- 18:47Speaker 1: of the whole era before you and two ras probably
- 18:49Speaker 1: before you, whether it's like Royce, Big Sean, am, have
- 18:52Speaker 1: they tapped in with what you're doing?
- 18:54Speaker 2: Man, I just Big Sign just made my mom a
- 18:56Speaker 2: day last night. He just shout out to Big Shign.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He made my mama day talking to my mama. Big
- 19:02Speaker 2: Sean was humble when I met him too, when he
- 19:07Speaker 2: I asked him, can I call my mama on the phone?
- 19:10Speaker 2: And he talked to her on the phone. Oh shit,
- 19:14Speaker 2: you talked to my mama. Oh so you were in
- 19:15Speaker 2: the studio was showing last night. Oh shit, he talked
- 19:18Speaker 2: to my mama on the phone.
- 19:22Speaker 1: That's fire. He made my day.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Like he just made my mama. That was like a
- 19:27Speaker 2: humbling experience like that just is crazy. Like I was
- 19:31Speaker 2: just so happy. He don't even know how happy he
- 19:34Speaker 2: just made me. He made my day like a kid
- 19:35Speaker 2: at a candy store.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Your mom's just like, did you expect it? When always
- 19:42Speaker 1: I facetimes.
- 19:43Speaker 2: When I was with Chris Brown too, he made my
- 19:45Speaker 2: mama sister's day. Like they just they don't even know.
- 19:48Speaker 2: They think like I'm just a rapper and I'm really
- 19:52Speaker 2: fanned out. I just don't act like it, but I'll
- 19:54Speaker 2: be faned out.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You were trying, Did you work on any music by?
- 19:56Speaker 2: Say no, But we we're gonna get together probably this
- 19:59Speaker 2: week and do some.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Record to be crazy.
- 20:02Speaker 2: What about Eminem, I haven't. I've never seen Eminem. I
- 20:05Speaker 2: do want to do some music with and like, I
- 20:08Speaker 2: never seen Eminem, but I know he's big for our culture,
- 20:12Speaker 2: like everything that he did. And I think the disconnect
- 20:17Speaker 2: between Eminem and a lot of artists from Detroit now
- 20:21Speaker 2: is that he's not a street guy.
- 20:24Speaker 1: You feel me, Yeah, he's. I mean, he's the most
- 20:26Speaker 1: successful rapper ever ever.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He's he's disconnected from the streets because he's not in
- 20:31Speaker 2: the streets.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he's a yeah for sure.
- 20:34Speaker 2: And he doesn't owe anybody anything like.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I feel like during his era he did a lot
- 20:39Speaker 1: to try to help what was happening Now, I'm not
- 20:42Speaker 1: sure it's his job when.
- 20:44Speaker 2: It comes to that Trick Royce and all of them.
- 20:47Speaker 2: That was his error. He helped his error.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Records with Trick Trick Royce. I mean, the D twelve guys.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm trying to think if there is any I mean,
- 20:56Speaker 1: then there was that whole other side of Detroit. That's
- 20:58Speaker 1: like village and j.
- 21:01Speaker 2: That's like saying, Lil Wayne gotta go to New Orleans
- 21:04Speaker 2: and work where every artist come from New Orleans.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And that is kind of true because I feel like
- 21:08Speaker 1: the Detroit artists be given Eminem hell sometimes they do,
- 21:12Speaker 1: and the artists in New Orleans ain't giving Wayne hell
- 21:14Speaker 1: because you know that's yeah. I mean, look, Eminem is
- 21:18Speaker 1: one of the greatest of all time. I mean, everybody want.
- 21:20Speaker 2: To be successful so bad. But you gotta understand that
- 21:24Speaker 2: Eminem wouldn't even sound right on a lot of songs
- 21:26Speaker 2: from Detroit if you just if you, if you.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Put Eminem on some of these records, it probably sound
- 21:32Speaker 1: if it sucks.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I'm just being real because Eminem, a lot of people
- 21:39Speaker 2: don't have real lyrical content from Detroit. Were more of
- 21:43Speaker 2: a vibe, and I feel like a lot of people
- 21:47Speaker 2: the flow wouldn't even match, like when they come to
- 21:50Speaker 2: putting together records I've.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Been, especially like the BPM level. I'm like, I don't
- 21:53Speaker 1: know how eminem would sound on like a Detroit beat,
- 21:55Speaker 1: Like I don't like. I just don't know if I
- 21:57Speaker 1: want to, I don't know. I don't think anybody wants
- 21:59Speaker 1: to hear that. Respectful what's up, y'all? We got to

- 24:28Speaker 2: that at all. For real.
- 24:30Speaker 1: For you guys working together to be crazy, maybe you
- 24:32Speaker 1: go do some shit like you be like, yo, I
- 24:34Speaker 1: went in on this end. This is I did this
- 24:35Speaker 1: with you in mind.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Now I have to sit there and write for like
- 24:39Speaker 2: a week, yeah, and then get my flow right and
- 24:43Speaker 2: be like, yeah, I got this for you, Like I
- 24:46Speaker 2: asked Big Shining that last night, like, did he ever
- 24:49Speaker 2: go into it like I'm about to chew these guys up?
- 24:52Speaker 2: But he like the records he even owned, like his
- 24:56Speaker 2: biggest records with people. He did a song left for
- 24:59Speaker 2: open and he didn't know who was getting on it.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And so if they end up going in, that's he's
- 25:04Speaker 1: not gonna go back and change the shit because that's
- 25:05Speaker 1: kind of against rapper rules, you know.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, so I have to prepare for that though.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I still are you currently? Are you writing stuff down
- 25:15Speaker 1: when you have an idea or are you just straight
- 25:17Speaker 1: punching in like what are you?
- 25:18Speaker 2: I'm doing both? I gotta be for me to write
- 25:21Speaker 2: to it. I gotta extremely love to be like like.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You gotta have to beat ahead of side. But if
- 25:26Speaker 1: you're driving around you think of a bar, you're gonna
- 25:27Speaker 1: make a note of it.
- 25:28Speaker 2: For sure. Yeah, for sure, some bars.
- 25:31Speaker 1: You just can't he can't waste them. You can't forget it.
- 25:34Speaker 2: You can't forget that for sure.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Ja Cole current minority owner of the Hornets. I'm sure
- 25:40Speaker 1: you've seen. Do you have any aspirations to one day
- 25:43Speaker 1: be a minority owners?
- 25:44Speaker 2: For sure?
- 25:45Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Heck yeah, what first thing?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Make the pizzas five dollars.
- 25:51Speaker 2: No free pizza, free pizza when you come in the arena.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Well, if you go to Little Caesars and you're not
- 25:56Speaker 1: getting the extra mostess, like the extra cheese, extra pepperoni,
- 26:01Speaker 1: it's for the extra buck, you're fucking up. By the way,
- 26:04Speaker 1: now that you're like traveling the country, can we have
- 26:07Speaker 1: an honest conversation about the food and Detroit.
- 26:11Speaker 2: The food and Detroit is better than everywhere in the country.
- 26:14Speaker 1: That's a bold face.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Lie, where do you think you think Kelli got better foods?
- 26:18Speaker 1: Oh? Sure, I think Listen, I love Detroit when I
- 26:22Speaker 1: was there, but I went to like four different Coney spots.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Bro, That's that's why. Who sent you to Coney?
- 26:29Speaker 1: People in Detroit only eat Cone on an eight mile
- 26:32Speaker 1: by truth, Coney terrible place you were supposed to go to.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I went to the one. I went to the one
- 26:38Speaker 1: and that that Sada took me to, which is his spot?
- 26:41Speaker 1: That might have been that it's like in the red
- 26:43Speaker 1: zone or wherever on the east side.
- 26:44Speaker 2: No, he was supposed to go to Zorbis on the
- 26:47Speaker 2: east side, and if you're on the west side, you're
- 26:49Speaker 2: supposed to go to Ill Georgia's. But that's just Coney's.
- 26:52Speaker 2: People only eat cone at two o'clock in the morning.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Now, we did have a fake I wouldn't say fake.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Baby Tron took us to a place that was kind
- 27:03Speaker 1: of like raising canes.
- 27:05Speaker 2: You ain't go to the burger truck.
- 27:07Speaker 1: And the best thing I ate though, was a burger
- 27:10Speaker 1: that Wan got me.
- 27:10Speaker 2: You ain't go to the burger truck burger truck. Did
- 27:13Speaker 2: you go to Sweetwater? No burger truck.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I went to the pancake place though, the breakfast spot
- 27:18Speaker 1: everyone talks about that shit was gassed.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Did you go to Mason's? No Midwest girl? Did you
- 27:24Speaker 2: go to somebody Auntie in the backyard and the girl.
- 27:28Speaker 1: You missing that? Well you got Have you been to
- 27:31Speaker 1: a taco truck in La Yes? Got me some uh
- 27:36Speaker 1: or chata. They're gonna get the fucking pot store, bro.
- 27:39Speaker 1: They gotta shave the meat off of the thing.
- 27:42Speaker 2: And you think that's better than everything in Detroit? Of course, No,
- 27:46Speaker 2: you gotta go through Detroit with me.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Also, the best food I had outside of the burger
- 27:50Speaker 1: Wan got me was definitely the food court Asian food
- 27:53Speaker 1: at MGM Grin.
- 27:55Speaker 2: You gotta go through Detroit with me.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it.
- 27:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna show you how to eat and detrue.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Okay, all right, do you guys ever go over to Canada.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I'm a feeling. Oh so you can't. Canada is a
- 28:07Speaker 1: rap for Drake.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Yeah, at least for like Drake reached out to you. No,
- 28:13Speaker 2: but I met Drake twice?
- 28:14Speaker 1: How was that?
- 28:15Speaker 2: I that was crazy. I was at a private party
- 28:19Speaker 2: one time in New York and I just looked up
- 28:22Speaker 2: and Drake was reaching from my hand because somebody did
- 28:27Speaker 2: know Drake is on my label, and they was like
- 28:30Speaker 2: this is I'm like, damn, Drake. He just walked around
- 28:34Speaker 2: here just like he normally.
- 28:35Speaker 1: For sure, for sure you walk around here like normal.
- 28:37Speaker 2: And then the second time was at his private party
- 28:40Speaker 2: for Super Bowl at at Dave and Busters.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah he has those. That was Drake is an
- 28:48Speaker 1: interesting guy. Was that in Arizona? That yeah? Yeah, Chandler
- 28:53Speaker 1: in uh yeah yeah in uh.
- 28:55Speaker 2: It was in the David Busters all up the steps.
- 28:59Speaker 1: And side Mont. It's the outside mall in.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Az He's so hard for that. I ain't gonna lie.
- 29:06Speaker 1: What was it like? Was this your first Super Bowl
- 29:09Speaker 1: as like popping popping where you're like not like hanging
- 29:13Speaker 1: out with Sada, Like you're like skill a.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Baby, Yeah, a little baby.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Brought me out at that ratchet ass party on the
- 29:19Speaker 1: West Side at the fucking Stratus Events Center.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, brought me out.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that was hard. There was a I don't even
- 29:26Speaker 1: want to talk about a lot of you know, Super
- 29:29Speaker 1: Bowl man, motherfuckers be scamming these promoters. Oh my god.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Oh they said he was going everywhere.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm glad. Our club was like, we're
- 29:37Speaker 1: the only club that everything happened how it was supposed
- 29:39Speaker 1: to happen. He pecked it out though, no, for sure.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It was like there was like a Future Day party
- 29:45Speaker 1: that was supposed to happen earlier in the day in
- 29:47Speaker 1: that same spot. Shit went left, he didn't show up.
- 29:51Speaker 1: It was bad. Instead, Dray and Michelle showed up. Imagine
- 29:53Speaker 1: paying to see Future perform and Drey is there, and
- 29:56Speaker 1: you're like, well, at least we got Drea, guys. That'd
- 30:03Speaker 1: have been a hell of a Netflix show. Oh my god, Like, hey, guys,
- 30:07Speaker 1: we got Drea, but she's gonna do your favorite future hits.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Go ahead, go ahead, Oh that'd be great. That sounds
- 30:15Speaker 1: like an amazing time. I actually might have been more
- 30:18Speaker 1: happy to see that me because I'm a dick. You know,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I've been like this is great.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I kind of try to pat myself, like like all
- 30:25Speaker 2: my toxic ways off the future.
- 30:27Speaker 1: He's a toxic guy.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll try to be toxic as him, and.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Like, what's your highest toxic trait you've learned from futures influence?
- 30:35Speaker 2: I tell people to call me, and then I don't
- 30:37Speaker 2: answer the phone.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Like you'll tell him like, yo, hit me call me, like.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I get a girl number, like tell her to call
- 30:45Speaker 2: me and get her my number, and I won't answer.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Like I dodn't.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I didn't did some shit like this, like I didn't
- 30:52Speaker 2: like man fucking with her girl, like like I be
- 30:55Speaker 2: liking I like my girls like I love him, like
- 30:58Speaker 2: damn all of them and any other there's one at
- 31:02Speaker 2: the moment.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Answer and then one. All of the ones who are

- 32:02Speaker 2: I think that's damn nerd.
- 32:04Speaker 1: It's like about the chase and then once you know,

- 35:13Speaker 1: that manner. I loved her the right way, and she
- 35:20Speaker 1: obviously loved you back enough to be angry enough to
- 35:24Speaker 1: commit a felon though, what do you think that is
- 35:29Speaker 1: lust obsession to your I mean, if you gotta, if
- 35:35Speaker 1: you get mad enough where you say, I'm going to

- 35:43Speaker 1: fuck up my car, fuck up their house. They gotta
- 35:46Speaker 1: love you. I'll be having some toxic stuff going on.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Is that the craziest thing females done to you?

- 36:09Speaker 1: looking for you? I don't think about it was looking
- 36:11Speaker 1: for me, like Donna say, you straight me as the

- 36:33Speaker 1: Saint got shot nine times, it kind of yeah, people
- 36:36Speaker 1: were like, yo, fifty year, about fifty years nine times?
- 36:38Speaker 2: This guy's I think I like to consider that. But

- 42:35Speaker 1: savvy camper. No, No, I don't like bears, nobody does.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Have you considered getting into camping because it is the
- 42:46Speaker 1: logo to your label?
- 42:48Speaker 2: No, but that would probably be this. The closest I'm
- 42:51Speaker 2: gonna get to camping is when I go on tour
- 42:53Speaker 2: and I put the big tent on the stage.
- 42:55Speaker 1: You should go camping. You should go with a bunch
- 42:57Speaker 1: of Have you done mushrooms? No? I don't. I mean
- 43:01Speaker 1: I'm aware, but you haven't never done shrooms. You know
- 43:03Speaker 1: you can always start. I'm scared of them. You should be,
- 43:07Speaker 1: so how would I do? Hey, man, you be having
- 43:10Speaker 1: bitches drive through your house. Bruh, you be living a
- 43:12Speaker 1: lot more riskier to do with shrooms.
- 43:15Speaker 2: No, because I know at the end of the day,
- 43:17Speaker 2: they gonna hurt my house, but not me.
- 43:19Speaker 1: You don't know that.
- 43:20Speaker 2: No, I notice, like I didn't, I'd have had somebody
- 43:25Speaker 2: trash my whole house, pick of knives, hit me with
- 43:28Speaker 2: candles and ship but where they lit. No, hit me
- 43:32Speaker 2: with candles. But you know candles are outside of candles
- 43:35Speaker 2: for sure.
- 43:36Speaker 1: The audi.
- 43:37Speaker 2: And then eventually when I just sat down on the
- 43:41Speaker 2: couch and said, man, all right, man, I'm on probation.
- 43:44Speaker 2: You're gonna give me in trouble. I'm gonna just let
- 43:46Speaker 2: you do this. It stopped the madness. Just stop. You
- 43:51Speaker 2: entertain the bullshit with Detroit females. They gonna keep going.
- 43:56Speaker 1: You gotta be careful, man, You fucking with some toxic women.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Bro.
- 44:03Speaker 1: These women are assaulting you physically.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I call them good Kouchie monsters.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Good Gucci. There is something about the women with the
- 44:11Speaker 1: best cool cool usually are psychopaths. Usually they got daddy
- 44:18Speaker 1: issues for sure? For sure? For sure?
- 44:20Speaker 2: Yeah she did, Daddy Shue.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I know she did. If she drove a car through
- 44:24Speaker 1: your house? For sure? Did she go to jail for that?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Call the police?
- 44:29Speaker 1: I mean, I'd assume if someone drove a car through
- 44:32Speaker 1: the front of my house, my neighbors are calling the cops.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Fuck what I'm doing.
- 44:35Speaker 2: No, I ain't calling the cops. I called the police
- 44:37Speaker 2: and told her to leave. I said, when I called
- 44:39Speaker 2: the police, I said, somebody broke it to my house. Man,
- 44:41Speaker 2: They're crazy. They broke into my house with a whole car.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Didn't take not the man. They broke it to my
- 44:47Speaker 2: house while I was gone. Man in this ship, it's crazy.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Were you renting or buying this house?
- 44:51Speaker 2: I was renting. That's why I had to. I had to.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I had to call the police, got to the police
- 44:56Speaker 2: because I regret to you, I was really the condo
- 45:00Speaker 2: and I was gonna the condo is gonna put me
- 45:02Speaker 2: out if I didn't have like rightfully, So yeah, if
- 45:06Speaker 2: I didn't have like proof of the police, I'm victim,
- 45:10Speaker 2: you bro yea, it was gonna kick me out. Like
- 45:12Speaker 2: how many times I rent went from twenty five hundred
- 45:15Speaker 2: to thirty five.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Thirty Detroit sounds like you lived in a castle.
- 45:20Speaker 2: I kind of have a big house.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Detroit is very cheap compared to La. Yeah. Do
- 45:28Speaker 1: you own any real estate yet?
- 45:30Speaker 2: I own a couple who homes?
- 45:32Speaker 1: Oh, what's the hood home? Like the ones that like
- 45:35Speaker 1: fix her uppers? Have you started fixing them up? No?
- 45:40Speaker 2: In Detroit.
- 45:41Speaker 1: In Detroit, they there is a high level of breaking
- 45:44Speaker 1: in the homes that are abandoned, taking all the copper
- 45:48Speaker 1: out right, taking all the pipes out, and that's selling
- 45:50Speaker 1: them why and doing all this but then selling all
- 45:52Speaker 1: the copper right. Danny Brown had a song called Scrap
- 45:55Speaker 1: or Dye and it was all about.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Breaking in the houses, taking a copper.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Yeah, have you dealt with that with the house that
- 46:02Speaker 1: you bought? Have you even cared to look to see
- 46:05Speaker 1: if there's copper left? No?
- 46:06Speaker 2: I hope they do. I hope they do something. Do something, man,
- 46:11Speaker 2: we just do say that. I hope they whoop so

- 47:06Speaker 2: No, that's what he did say too, Juggalos. I think
- 47:11Speaker 2: that's what he said.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Wow, Juggalos are like well, at a certain point in time,
- 47:17Speaker 1: they were considered a gang by the FBI, a national gang.

- 47:26Speaker 2: Barbershot Quartet.
- 47:28Speaker 1: So ICP are two white dudes who dressed like clowns.
- 47:35Speaker 2: That's what he said.

- 47:42Speaker 2: like clown I ain't want to say him be wrong,
- 47:44Speaker 2: but that's what he said.
- 47:45Speaker 1: For Listen, these guys are independent pioneers for sure, they
