- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:02Speaker 2: My best friend is recently single, and lately she has
- 0:04Speaker 2: been sleeping around, which I'm all for. Although there has
- 0:08Speaker 2: been multiple people that I have been with before that
- 0:11Speaker 2: she would ask if she can go for them too.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I always say yes because I genuinely don't care about them,
- 0:17Speaker 2: although as the number goes up, I'm starting to feel
- 0:20Speaker 2: really uncomfortable with it, even though I have no feelings
- 0:23Speaker 2: for the guys whatsoever. The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself,
- 0:39Speaker 2: Jake Craig aka Daddy, and my partner in crime, Audie
- 0:44Speaker 2: Clark aka Mamasita. All right, Audie, this episode, I would
- 0:53Speaker 2: like to just bring something up I want. I wanted
- 0:57Speaker 2: to start yeah, all right with the top line of
- 0:59Speaker 2: the episode. Yeah, okay, I'm going to give two quick
- 1:01Speaker 2: shout outs. All right. First quick shout out is to
- 1:05Speaker 2: as to someone we know named Jordan Butler. M okay.
- 1:09Speaker 2: He messaged me on Instagram and because I follow him
- 1:13Speaker 2: mates and he goes mate like, I don't know if
- 1:18Speaker 2: you know this, but Kyle and Jackie O mentioned you
- 1:21Speaker 2: guys on their radio show What So Big. Shout out
- 1:24Speaker 2: to Kyle and Jackie Oh really right?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, how do we not know about it?
- 1:29Speaker 2: And because I mean, well I knew about it because
- 1:33Speaker 2: he told me, but I didn't know about it, right,
- 1:35Speaker 2: and so he told me the episode because they obviously
- 1:39Speaker 2: record their whole radio show every morning. Then they posted
- 1:41Speaker 2: as a podcast on Spotify post production. Yeah. Yeah, So
- 1:44Speaker 2: basically I just wanted to shouted to Johny Butler for
- 1:48Speaker 2: letting us know, and then shout out to Kylin Jackie ooe.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I suppose, not that I don't I wouldn't say I'm
- 1:52Speaker 2: a fan of them, but like they're a massive show.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Got smack though, How did we not know about this?
- 1:57Speaker 2: No one sent it to us apart from the only person.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Anyway, we'll take it. So I'm excited.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Now And basically I'm going to play a snippet of
- 2:05Speaker 2: what they How long.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Were they talking about?
- 2:07Speaker 2: It's I don't know, medium minute all time, not too long,
- 2:09Speaker 2: but like they ended like what they what they brought up,
- 2:12Speaker 2: the reason they brought us up. They ended up talking
- 2:14Speaker 2: about for a while, but it wasn't like about us.
- 2:17Speaker 2: But I'm just excited to hear fuck um, well, no
- 2:23Speaker 2: they mentioned they say the relatables, which is nice of them,
- 2:26Speaker 2: Which is very nice of them and I just don't
- 2:28Speaker 2: even I think I'm just gonna fucking say for anyone
- 2:30Speaker 2: that doesn't know, though, Kylon Jackie is the biggest radio
- 2:31Speaker 2: show in Australia. They have been for years. They both
- 2:34Speaker 2: get paid like fifteen million dollars a year. They have
- 2:36Speaker 2: this insanely huge deal, biggest radio show. I looked it
- 2:39Speaker 2: up and I think per week they're getting I don't
- 2:43Speaker 2: know about like individual downloads, but per week they are
- 2:47Speaker 2: getting over a million listens on the radio. Crazy per
- 2:50Speaker 2: week and they obviously do five a week in the
- 2:52Speaker 2: morning morning radio. But yeah, I'm just gonna play it,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and I like, we like you. Fuck, I'm just gonna
- 2:58Speaker 2: play it. Yeah, what this guy?
- 3:03Speaker 3: You might find this interesting, guys. This is from the
- 3:06Speaker 3: guys at the Relatables podcast, definitely, and they ask their
- 3:10Speaker 3: female listeners to list the subtle things girls do when
- 3:13Speaker 3: they're into a guy. And I think you, guys, I
- 3:16Speaker 3: think you guys out there are going to be quite
- 3:18Speaker 3: surprised at the things we do. Mean, you have no
- 3:22Speaker 3: idea is a sign that we're into you because we
- 3:26Speaker 3: don't read minds and we don't do the minu mini signals.
- 3:31Speaker 1: The music is just.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Like stop go people.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I realized that, but yeah, let me let's listen,
- 3:39Speaker 3: and then I will break it down a little bit.
- 3:40Speaker 2: First, subtle signs that they give when they like a guy.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I'll leave my phone and purse at the table when
- 3:47Speaker 2: I go to the bathroom, not picking up on that note,
- 3:50Speaker 2: touching his shoulder when laughing at his joke, ignoring him,
- 3:55Speaker 2: but being super engaged with his friends asking for his help.
- 3:59Speaker 2: The reason is because men have this weird ego thing
- 4:04Speaker 2: they need to feel needed. I don't care what it is.
- 4:07Speaker 2: If you're tall enough to reach said thing, pretend you're not,
- 4:10Speaker 2: if you're strong enough to open said pretend you're not. Yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 2: some about it is like me knowing that you're giving
- 4:17Speaker 2: me the thing that I know you're able to do
- 4:19Speaker 2: makes me know that you like me because you want
- 4:22Speaker 2: me to feel needed. And that's what a guy needs.
- 4:25Speaker 2: God that guy would he even get any pussy with
- 4:27Speaker 2: all that?
- 4:38Speaker 4: As for anyone listening who doesn't know who Carl and
- 4:40Speaker 4: Jackie O are, they're known for what Kyl is for
- 4:43Speaker 4: being very abrupt.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like he's been. The whole country has tried
- 4:48Speaker 2: to cancel him so many times, and you can't cancel him, like,
- 4:51Speaker 2: we know, how funny is that comment. It's the funniest
- 4:57Speaker 2: thing ever. He's such a hater and I love why
- 5:00Speaker 2: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I fucking man, how good
- 5:04Speaker 2: I know? And like afterwards, so Jackie O, she goes
- 5:08Speaker 2: on to kind of just defend like what we were saying.
- 5:11Speaker 2: She was like, no, no, these are the things. This
- 5:13Speaker 2: is the thing, And honestly I don't, like I don't
- 5:16Speaker 2: listen to their show. I've listened to it when I
- 5:17Speaker 2: was like a carpenter, like on the radio, but now
- 5:20Speaker 2: because I just don't listen to radio anymore because we
- 5:22Speaker 2: don't do it. But like what he was saying was
- 5:25Speaker 2: like it was making me laugh. Yeah, but like at
- 5:29Speaker 2: the same time, I was like, holy fuck, it's just
- 5:33Speaker 2: he's just like.
- 5:34Speaker 1: He's just unhim man.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I think that's what makes him like famous.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Like people don't agree with what he has to say,
- 5:42Speaker 4: but it's entertaining and not many people can pull that off.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I think, you know what, I think you're right. I
- 5:47Speaker 2: think like I didn't agree with anything he says, yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 2: but I think is it hearing someone say it out loud?
- 5:53Speaker 2: I was like, what was holy shit? And everyone's entitled
- 5:58Speaker 2: to her own opinion, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah it was.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And then there's like other producers in there that they
- 6:02Speaker 2: get to chime in and all the guys are like
- 6:04Speaker 2: yeah no, like they were like us, like we wouldn't
- 6:06Speaker 2: get that at all.
- 6:06Speaker 1: How's the radio edit on it?
- 6:08Speaker 2: But I know, like radio edits are crazy.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I was like, is this us?
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, when you hear the music. I was listening
- 6:15Speaker 2: to it in a car. I listened to it with
- 6:17Speaker 2: on the way home from where I went on the
- 6:18Speaker 2: Weekend with Juanna and Beth in the car because I
- 6:20Speaker 2: told him about it. I hadn't listened to it. It
- 6:22Speaker 2: was the first time I listened to it, and so live.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I got to hear him say like does this guy
- 6:26Speaker 2: get any pussy? Blah bah blah, and me trying to Bethwood.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Dying tell you what we should do. We're so fun,
- 6:31Speaker 1: try and get on the show.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I was even saying like, I don't know I was gonna.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I was trying to say, like I don't even know
- 6:37Speaker 2: if we would go on that show. To be fair,
- 6:39Speaker 2: like it's the craziest show.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's pretty vague. I feel we can hold our own, but.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I think I do know what I stand for yeah, no, exactly,
- 6:46Speaker 2: as long as we don't let the intimidation of someone
- 6:49Speaker 2: that's so much bigger than us like get to us
- 6:52Speaker 2: and and cave and then be like, Okay, you know what,
- 6:54Speaker 2: you're right, like we need to stick to what we
- 6:55Speaker 2: believe in what we've seen interview people before, and he
- 6:58Speaker 2: tries to like baite them, has a vulliume a bit
- 7:01Speaker 2: say what he wants him to say to like get
- 7:03Speaker 2: the cancelation, like it's the good content there. He also
- 7:06Speaker 2: is like just a genius in the way of that
- 7:09Speaker 2: he knows how to get listens, he knows, he knows
- 7:11Speaker 2: what he's doing. I think he's I reckon. It would
- 7:13Speaker 2: be a great conversation.
- 7:14Speaker 1: We fight for the girlipops. We have so much more content.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You, myself and Jackie O. But she was defending us.
- 7:21Speaker 2: We probably got to be three against one. I gotta say, like, yeah, dude,
- 7:24Speaker 2: there's a there's so much more content we can defend
- 7:27Speaker 2: him on too. I mean, yeah, true, I wonder if we.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Can maybe not even defend just showed the insight into
- 7:33Speaker 4: the intricacies of dating maybe and how much thought actually
- 7:37Speaker 4: goes into it and why Jake gets pussy.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to show him pussy. That's wild. Well
- 7:45Speaker 2: just one, but it's a pussy. How good though? Any
- 7:53Speaker 2: publicity is good publicity? Oh yeah, I don't give it.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I think it's hilarious. Like it was even so funny.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You can hear him when she goes, she's like, I think,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I don't know what she's I think I think she said,
- 8:03Speaker 2: I think you'll like this, and he goes doubt it,
- 8:05Speaker 2: and then she goes, this is from the Boys at
- 8:06Speaker 2: the Relatables podcast, and he said something like, oh, I
- 8:08Speaker 2: definitely won't like something like I don't know if that's
- 8:11Speaker 2: exactly what he said, but it's just so funny. I'd
- 8:13Speaker 2: love to fucking meet him in person to see if
- 8:15Speaker 2: he's actually like that.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I wonder if he puts on a facade.
- 8:17Speaker 2: You don't know. I don't know if it's a character,
- 8:19Speaker 2: if he's.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Mad chill, which is outside of it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he's probably. I mean, i'd say on the radio
- 8:23Speaker 2: he's more turned on and like Off the radio, he
- 8:25Speaker 2: probably doesn't even like to talk.
- 8:26Speaker 4: To be fair, yeah, he probably have a lot of
- 8:27Speaker 4: knowledge we could get out of him to become better host.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Not even though we weren't we don't want to go
- 8:31Speaker 4: on the same avenue, just like, nah, well we don't
- 8:32Speaker 4: have to be the same person. He's a great host, yeah, yeah, entertainment.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I'm sure he's got some wisdom in him. But that's
- 8:38Speaker 4: a good way to start the podcat. It's harped me
- 8:39Speaker 4: up a bit, I know, how funny, like random and funny.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I know. It's just when he said it, I was like, no,
- 8:47Speaker 2: my poor heart, at.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Least we're not getting rosted. Nah nah, I mean, well
- 8:51Speaker 1: you are, but I'm not.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, he roasted me, but I mean I'm
- 8:55Speaker 2: so I don't really give a shit. So yeah, But
- 8:57Speaker 2: the next thing that I wanted to talk about, all right,
- 9:01Speaker 2: is we spoke about I don't know how long ago,
- 9:05Speaker 2: but we spoke about we did it. We did a
- 9:08Speaker 2: segment about something about like oh no, I don't know
- 9:11Speaker 2: what it was, but it was like, you said, someone
- 9:13Speaker 2: sent in. We did like an ig question and you
- 9:15Speaker 2: sent in someone sent in and you read it. I
- 9:18Speaker 2: don't want you to know. I want you to be
- 9:20Speaker 2: able to find the G spot. I don't want you
- 9:22Speaker 2: to just be like a jack rabbit. And then we
- 9:24Speaker 2: were like, well, where the fuck is it? Blah, blah,
- 9:25Speaker 2: I swear it changes every time. Yes, we were like,
- 9:27Speaker 2: but how we got to send an email from someone
- 9:32Speaker 2: how to find the G spot? Let me actually, do
- 9:35Speaker 2: you want to hear the title of this email? Friendly
- 9:39Speaker 2: G spot info in brackets? It's actually fake?
- 9:44Speaker 1: What listen?
- 9:46Speaker 4: Sometimes I wish we had like a ninety male audience,
- 9:50Speaker 4: not because I want more mail, like people listening so
- 9:52Speaker 4: we can advise them. Fact like I love I love
- 9:56Speaker 4: our Girlipop fans, but like to tell them spread the
- 9:59Speaker 4: word we need to advise.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess to be fair, like, maybe
- 10:02Speaker 2: a lot of the girls don't know this.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Okay, body surely so?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Hello Jake and Oddie, fan of the pod from the States,
- 10:09Speaker 2: currently in Nebraska. Let's go a little about me. I'm
- 10:13Speaker 2: a thirty one year old female in the USAF I
- 10:17Speaker 2: don't know what that is, and y'all make me feel
- 10:19Speaker 2: positive about this next generation of men who will hopefully
- 10:23Speaker 2: be more empathetic and able to express emotions. I heard
- 10:28Speaker 2: one of your latest episodes where a girl wrote in
- 10:30Speaker 2: expecting men to be able to find the G spot,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and I just want you and your listeners to know
- 10:37Speaker 2: that it is debated on whether or not it even exists.
- 10:41Speaker 2: No one can conclusively find one magic spot. A brief
- 10:47Speaker 2: history of the G spot. A German guynecologist. All right,
- 10:53Speaker 2: a German guynecologist in the nineteen fifties believed he had
- 10:57Speaker 2: found an area in the interior of the vagina that
- 11:01Speaker 2: greatly enhanced female pleasure. In nineteen eighty one, researchers seem
- 11:05Speaker 2: to agree with his findings that there was a general
- 11:07Speaker 2: area and named it after him, thus coining it the
- 11:11Speaker 2: Grafenberg spot or G spot.
- 11:14Speaker 1: So I can call it the Grafenberg spot.
- 11:16Speaker 2: You can. That's technically correct. However, that after essentially, how
- 11:22Speaker 2: do I find that? That's terrible? Man? Okay. However, media
- 11:29Speaker 2: then began portraying this to the masses that there was
- 11:31Speaker 2: one conclusive G spot. But research is inconclusive and debated.
- 11:36Speaker 2: From life and learning, I truly believe there is no
- 11:39Speaker 2: magic spot that will guarantee an orgasm for every woman.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So I'm sorry to all the ladies, but you all
- 11:45Speaker 2: have different needs and it's unfair to expect your partner
- 11:48Speaker 2: to know what's going to work for you. We all
- 11:51Speaker 2: just have to communicate and give people a little grace
- 11:53Speaker 2: when they don't get it right. The first time your
- 11:55Speaker 2: millennial friend of the pod erin ps. If the youths
- 12:01Speaker 2: are using g spot in more of a slang way
- 12:03Speaker 2: to say, like my spot, then disregard everything every long.
- 12:07Speaker 2: So basically she was just protecting herself in case everyone's
- 12:10Speaker 2: Basically that's what we concluded.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Obviously, every girl's Grafenberg spot is different, obviously, but so
- 12:19Speaker 4: they're all different. But I think what she's getting at
- 12:21Speaker 4: is that it's not actually a spot. It moves around it.
- 12:24Speaker 2: It's a general area that you may not hit every time.
- 12:29Speaker 4: But here's the thing actually thinking about it.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Maybe this is good. It's not always there.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Well, I don't know the way. I don't know the
- 12:39Speaker 2: way you took this, but the way that I'm thinking
- 12:41Speaker 2: of this is like it would be harder right to
- 12:45Speaker 2: a spot, because if it's small, it would be harder
- 12:49Speaker 2: to find. But a general area is in everyone else's head,
- 12:54Speaker 2: I hope as low as well as mine. It's more
- 12:56Speaker 2: of like a general area, a bigger area. How the
- 12:59Speaker 2: fuck are we missing it?
- 13:00Speaker 4: Okay, this might be extremely dumb, but this is the
- 13:04Speaker 4: logic in a boy's brain.
- 13:08Speaker 2: In my mind, the.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Spot, I don't know what sort of shape it is.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Let's say it's a circle. For argument's sake. When you
- 13:15Speaker 4: initially start sex tiny maybe the size of like a fingernail,
- 13:19Speaker 4: and you're not finding it right.
- 13:21Speaker 2: But as the.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Session goes on, you both get more horny, particularly she
- 13:24Speaker 4: gets more horny. You're hitting some good spots. Feeling good
- 13:28Speaker 4: in my mind, that fingernail starts to grow fifty cent
- 13:31Speaker 4: peace bigger. You start eating it more, it gets even bigger.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Maybe it goes the size of a fucking tennis ball,
- 13:36Speaker 4: who knows, and that's when the orgasm happens. That's how
- 13:41Speaker 4: it worked in my brain, and that's why it's harder
- 13:43Speaker 4: to find sometimes because it's the basis of how horny
- 13:45Speaker 4: they are and if you're hitting the right spots. But
- 13:48Speaker 4: that's completely it could be completely wrong.
- 13:50Speaker 2: No, it could be completely wrong. It's good analogy.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I think it's a good way to think. Yeah, and
- 13:55Speaker 2: you try.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And build that spot up so it gets bigger.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you know it's like, you know, it's
- 13:59Speaker 2: like we now need to make her horny. Yeah, I
- 14:03Speaker 2: am really. One thing I think I want to know is.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I was just gonna say, Kyle would be like, what
- 14:09Speaker 4: are these guys thinking about it's just fucking.
- 14:15Speaker 2: No, Kyle, we actually want to think about this, all right,
- 14:17Speaker 2: this is this is an in depth conversation about something.
- 14:22Speaker 2: But no, seriously, you've either got it or you don't.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And these two boys they don't got it or you
- 14:31Speaker 2: don't don't have it. Yeah, especially get him in this
- 14:35Speaker 2: and all that thinking you're talking about fifty cent pieces
- 14:39Speaker 2: growing up just make her fucking horner. That's crazy. Imagine thinking,
- 14:43Speaker 2: imagine that's the way that you genuinely thought nothing against him.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I don't know, he's a human being. I guess facade.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Oh mate, Okay, but seriously, I think I like how
- 14:56Speaker 2: she said, like you just gotta got to communicate, Like
- 14:59Speaker 2: if a guy think he's found it, then and he
- 15:02Speaker 2: hasn't found it.
- 15:03Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 15:04Speaker 4: I was having a similar conversation with my girlfriend the
- 15:06Speaker 4: other day. Normally, when you're having sex with someone, they
- 15:09Speaker 4: normally say, if you're hitting it, keep going, I'm gonna come, yeah,
- 15:11Speaker 4: something like that, And we had a conversation about that.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I'm like, sometimes, like you got to give me like
- 15:16Speaker 4: a time or like the pace or what pace I
- 15:19Speaker 4: have to go to keep going there. Yeah, because if
- 15:21Speaker 4: you say The more communication the better, because if you say,
- 15:24Speaker 4: keep going like I'm going to come to me. In
- 15:26Speaker 4: my mind, as any male that thinks that, I'm thinking
- 15:28Speaker 4: like ten seconds, but sometimes it's fucking minutes.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, She's like, if you keep going, if you
- 15:33Speaker 2: keep going like this for ten more minutes, I will come. Yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 2: but it's like you think I've got to last ten
- 15:36Speaker 2: more minutes.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's like that's not helpful for me.
- 15:39Speaker 4: The more communication the better, even though it's not that sexy,
- 15:41Speaker 4: like go faster for like ten more seconds than I'm there,
- 15:44Speaker 4: like go slow and slow down, even though that's not
- 15:47Speaker 4: that sexy. As a guy hearing that, then you can
- 15:49Speaker 4: mentally prepare your body for what you're about to do,
- 15:51Speaker 4: because sometimes he like, keep going about to come, I'm thinking,
- 15:54Speaker 4: thank God.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Like me too, same, that's literally what the guys like.
- 15:58Speaker 1: That's what a guy's thinking.
- 15:59Speaker 2: She's like, that's interesting those words. Yeah, I'm about to come.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Even if you're not feeling the urge. You feel the
- 16:05Speaker 2: urge now, yeah, And sometimes your body gives up to
- 16:07Speaker 2: like your hips are going or you're like your fatigue.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Like something's going on.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Oh ship, what am I I'm trying to think as well,
- 16:16Speaker 2: like I actually I asked my girlfriend the other day
- 16:22Speaker 2: because I said to her, like, let's say we're about
- 16:25Speaker 2: to go somewhere and we had to be there, we
- 16:27Speaker 2: had to leave in five minutes. But for some reason,
- 16:31Speaker 2: we just we just had to have a sex. We
- 16:34Speaker 2: just had to relationships had that. It just had to
- 16:36Speaker 2: have sex.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Better to be late, fact relaxed.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd rather be late relaxed than early in stress.
- 16:46Speaker 2: We'll be leaving early, by the way, we rather rock
- 16:48Speaker 2: uplate to stay the whole time. And I said to her,
- 16:51Speaker 2: like every time we do it, I am like from
- 16:56Speaker 2: from the very start, like it's like I can every
- 17:00Speaker 2: now and then I feel really good and I'm like
- 17:02Speaker 2: I can control it. Yeah, right, and then there's times
- 17:05Speaker 2: where you can't, so you really try to last as
- 17:06Speaker 2: long as you can. You might only last like I
- 17:08Speaker 2: don't know, five minutes or something like that. But I've
- 17:11Speaker 2: said to her. She she she asked me. I think
- 17:13Speaker 2: she asked me, how quick could you do it? If
- 17:15Speaker 2: you want to do it? And I was like, like
- 17:16Speaker 2: two pumps. Swear to God, I swear to god, I'm
- 17:20Speaker 2: not even fucking lying. I was like, if you really
- 17:22Speaker 2: wanted me to I could last less than ten seconds. Yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 2: And she was like, really, can you do it one time?
- 17:28Speaker 2: And I still haven't done it?
- 17:29Speaker 4: Yeah, and ireate yourself now, man, I asked her, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 4: not say anything.
- 17:34Speaker 2: True, I should be like I should, I should do
- 17:37Speaker 2: it un planned. And then she's like what was that?
- 17:39Speaker 2: And I was like, you asked her, gas you are,
- 17:43Speaker 2: But I asked her how quickly do you think you could?
- 17:46Speaker 2: And I mean all she said was like, oh, I'm
- 17:49Speaker 2: pretty quick. Yeah, I don't know how. I think she
- 17:51Speaker 2: was trying to be nice to fair, but I do
- 17:53Speaker 2: want to one day. I want to just be like,
- 17:55Speaker 2: surprise me with doing it really fast, because I see
- 17:57Speaker 2: it to be fair either way. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 4: But an interesting thing I find being in a relationship
- 18:03Speaker 4: and like also having sex with someone is like understanding
- 18:08Speaker 4: each other's sex drive, but also understanding how each other
- 18:12Speaker 4: get horny, which is very very important in a relationship. Yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 4: because most guys like a kiss, they're ready to go,
- 18:20Speaker 4: but for a lot of girls, it's understanding that they
- 18:23Speaker 4: need a lot.
- 18:23Speaker 2: More and when they're not in the mood, they're not
- 18:26Speaker 2: in the mood.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yeah, And you don't have to push the boundary all
- 18:28Speaker 4: the time, especially being like an eighteen year old kid,
- 18:31Speaker 4: like I was ready to go with the fucking looking
- 18:32Speaker 4: at it again?
- 18:33Speaker 2: Oh my god, get me started. Yeah, it's so horny.
- 18:36Speaker 4: You see a girl you like and you're like, fuck,
- 18:38Speaker 4: well it's on. But like growing up now and like
- 18:42Speaker 4: being with a partner for a while, it's just like
- 18:44Speaker 4: I might be in the mood, but I don't know,
- 18:46Speaker 4: we're kissing it. I'm in the mood, but it takes
- 18:48Speaker 4: a lot more for a girl to get in the mood,
- 18:49Speaker 4: and I've got to understand that and then pull back
- 18:51Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 18:51Speaker 2: And be like, oh, that's fine. I'm just like should
- 18:53Speaker 2: we blink? Yeah?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Literally literally, and yeah.
- 18:57Speaker 4: It's honestly, the best thing is just saying like, or
- 19:00Speaker 4: do you want to have sex she's like, oh no,
- 19:01Speaker 4: I'm not in the mood, and having that safe environment
- 19:04Speaker 4: where it's okay to say no.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Because I feel like growing yeah, I've never given it.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I feel like I wanted to and they didn't want to.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I think I don't think I've ever been like yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 2: I've always just been like okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 2: yeah feah.
- 19:17Speaker 4: And I feel like some people feel the need to
- 19:19Speaker 4: please sometimes and they do it sometimes when they're not
- 19:22Speaker 4: in the mood, which you should never have to do.
- 19:23Speaker 4: And it's about building that safe environment, I think, which
- 19:26Speaker 4: you learn growing up.
- 19:27Speaker 2: The early you do that. I know, like eighteen and
- 19:29Speaker 2: a lot.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Of people obviously, like the person want to have sex
- 19:31Speaker 4: with men, but in that time and moment, they don't
- 19:33Speaker 4: want to, but they're like, oh, yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Let's do it. Yeah, under, I see what you mean.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yeah, You're never ever both going to be in the
- 19:38Speaker 4: exact same mood all the time.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Nah, it's impossible like that. And I imagine the biggest
- 19:44Speaker 2: thing I always think is because you get tired from
- 19:47Speaker 2: work or something, Yeah, and like you're not one of
- 19:49Speaker 2: you is in the mood and one of you isn't.
- 19:50Speaker 2: And that's pretty common, maybe not as common, but I
- 19:55Speaker 2: just all I think about is as soon as you
- 19:56Speaker 2: have kids, man must be tough, Like you've got okay,
- 20:01Speaker 2: but you get your wife pregnant, she does this this
- 20:04Speaker 2: crazy thing. Can't believe they can fucking do it where
- 20:06Speaker 2: they grow a human in nine months? Yeah, crazy like
- 20:10Speaker 2: an alien fucking saying like holy shit. And then after it,
- 20:16Speaker 2: the kid like needs the mom constantly like the dad. Obviously,
- 20:20Speaker 2: I guess it needs the dad. I don't know. I actually,
- 20:21Speaker 2: let's be it doesn't need the dad and needs the mom.
- 20:23Speaker 2: The dad's just loving it because it can. Yeah, it's
- 20:26Speaker 2: just a little bit age of support. But like so
- 20:28Speaker 2: it's just it's probably like another full year of just
- 20:30Speaker 2: like the kid, that fucking baby needs them to live.
- 20:33Speaker 4: I've seen a lot of things where talking about the
- 20:37Speaker 4: dad's not being needed.
- 20:38Speaker 1: There they obviously are, but.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah, but like the baby doesn't necessarily need
- 20:43Speaker 2: the dad.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I'm seeing a lot of things where guys like these
- 20:46Speaker 4: new age dads, like I don't know how to love
- 20:50Speaker 4: their kid. Oh, or it feels like it feels like
- 20:52Speaker 4: a roommate more than a baby.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Sing oh no, that's crazy.
- 20:56Speaker 4: There's a couple of people that came out with it
- 20:58Speaker 4: and like it's meant to be this joyful, like the
- 21:00Speaker 4: best thing that ever happens to you, which like that's
- 21:02Speaker 4: what we expected to happen.
- 21:03Speaker 2: But yeah, like some.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Famous people were coming out and just like I didn't
- 21:06Speaker 4: know how to act, like it's we're just we're just
- 21:09Speaker 4: like told to figure it out, yeap, where this baby
- 21:13Speaker 4: comes into the world and you have to care for
- 21:14Speaker 4: it and you're like, whoa, Like what's going on here?
- 21:16Speaker 4: And like that love that you expected isn't always there.
- 21:20Speaker 2: That's such you know, I never I didn't never thought
- 21:22Speaker 2: of that. So like sometimes like a baby might reject
- 21:24Speaker 2: the dad because it wants the month, so not even
- 21:26Speaker 2: that it doesn't even know what's going on, and you know,
- 21:28Speaker 2: well it's not very co's like, we.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Have this expectation that I'm gonna love this thing, like
- 21:33Speaker 4: through and through, and like a lot of men are
- 21:35Speaker 4: coming out saying like I just don't feel the way
- 21:38Speaker 4: I thought I was going to feel.
- 21:40Speaker 2: That's crazy. That's I've never seen videos that it was.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Really it was I don't want to quote do you mean.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Like did they say like I kind of had to
- 21:47Speaker 2: fall in love with it?
- 21:48Speaker 1: Pretty much?
- 21:49Speaker 4: It was Pautie piet Yeah said it. He said the
- 21:51Speaker 4: first year was the hardest year of his life. And
- 21:54Speaker 4: then really it was Jack from HAMI Shandy, don't quote
- 21:56Speaker 4: exactly what I said. If he went on the Imperfect
- 21:58Speaker 4: podcast and talked about like the first couple of months
- 22:01Speaker 4: of having a baby and the struggles of it, and
- 22:03Speaker 4: it was around the same conversation. It was actually very
- 22:05Speaker 4: eye opening.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I might listen to that. Yeah. Wow, a very.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Interesting conversation, and it's like something you just don't know
- 22:11Speaker 4: or feel will happen when you have a.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Kid, No, because you expect, you expect that you're gonna
- 22:15Speaker 2: be absolutely do you expect as soon as you see
- 22:17Speaker 2: that thing. I'm sure a lot of people to see
- 22:20Speaker 2: it love love, Yeah, but some people it makes sense
- 22:23Speaker 2: also like whoa, what's going on here? Yeah, your body
- 22:25Speaker 2: needs time to adjust? Holy shit? Fair wow, which is like.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Interesting and scary, but also one of the things that like,
- 22:31Speaker 4: I feel like people would be scared to say that,
- 22:33Speaker 4: So it was very important for people to voice that.
- 22:34Speaker 2: STARSKT dads, did you love me? Like so yeah, yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 2: but just be honest, like when you first fucking with
- 22:41Speaker 2: sort of a sarmyboo thing to say, because you can't
- 22:43Speaker 2: say to like it's like, I don't know what's going
- 22:44Speaker 2: on here, I don't know what to field towards it.
- 22:46Speaker 4: But it's also like falling in love, like with a
- 22:48Speaker 4: partner for the first time. You all these emotions there
- 22:50Speaker 4: and you don't know how to deal with them. It's
- 22:51Speaker 4: the same thing.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Fuck, that's scary. That's just one more thing I now
- 22:55Speaker 2: think about. Yeah, having kids like what if I don't
- 22:57Speaker 2: like my kid?
- 22:58Speaker 4: I think you just fall in love with it, like
- 22:59Speaker 4: you said, But that initial couple months are like, oh, whoa,
- 23:02Speaker 4: what's going on? Humans have this mindset where like he'll
- 23:05Speaker 4: be right, Like I'll figure it out.
- 23:07Speaker 2: True, we do have that time of mindset when like,
- 23:09Speaker 2: in reality, we've never done.
- 23:10Speaker 4: It before, Like, where's this expectation that I'm going to
- 23:12Speaker 4: fall in love it immediately?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Everyone says living life for the very first time. It's
- 23:15Speaker 2: like one thing I've I've for some reason I've been
- 23:17Speaker 2: remembering a lot lately, is that every single person is
- 23:19Speaker 2: living life for the first time. So if someone's making
- 23:22Speaker 2: a mistake and it's the first time they've ever made
- 23:24Speaker 2: said mistake, or maybe they knew it was a mistake,
- 23:26Speaker 2: like maybe they knew it was the wrong thing to do.
- 23:27Speaker 2: But also, like the whole thing about learning is like
- 23:30Speaker 2: when you're a kid, you fall down to learn how
- 23:32Speaker 2: to get back up. Yeah, Like if you make a
- 23:34Speaker 2: little mistake as an adult, like fuck, let yourself live
- 23:37Speaker 2: because just remind yourself that this is the first time
- 23:39Speaker 2: you've been on this planet. Yeah, and it's weird.
- 23:41Speaker 4: This weird social media platform we've built has made people
- 23:46Speaker 4: who ever following not be able to make mistakes facts,
- 23:51Speaker 4: which is like.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Not human nature.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Like I get they're in a position to influence people
- 23:56Speaker 4: and they should be saying all the right things, but
- 23:58Speaker 4: everyone should be able to realize that they haven't done
- 24:01Speaker 4: this before either, Like they're going to be doing their
- 24:04Speaker 4: best way to fucking do everything right, but they're human,
- 24:06Speaker 4: like they're going to fucking fall down and they got
- 24:08Speaker 4: to figure it out when they get back up.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Like, for instance, let's say with the podcast, you should
- 24:12Speaker 2: be allowed to say, like you should be allowed to
- 24:14Speaker 2: believe one thing right and that thing could be wrong,
- 24:19Speaker 2: and then you get let known arguments as to why
- 24:22Speaker 2: it's wrong, and you should be allowed to change your mind,
- 24:24Speaker 2: Like what you thought of something at one point in
- 24:26Speaker 2: your life shouldn't define you for the rest of your life,
- 24:29Speaker 2: but you should be allowed to change your mind and
- 24:30Speaker 2: be like I've actually changed my thoughts on this, oh,
- 24:32Speaker 2: one hundred percent.
- 24:32Speaker 4: And there's definitely I see the argument's sake where there's
- 24:34Speaker 4: a fine line behind like a like a dictator type
- 24:38Speaker 4: person who says my way or the high way. Yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 4: but I think if there's two people having a conversation
- 24:43Speaker 4: and their opinion comes out openly and like this is
- 24:46Speaker 4: what I think. And then all this information comes in
- 24:48Speaker 4: You're like, oh, actually, I've realized that I was wrong
- 24:50Speaker 4: and you could have met. When you're wrong, that's when
- 24:51Speaker 4: it should be okay to make mistakes.
- 24:53Speaker 2: That's that's such a good point.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's human nature.
- 24:56Speaker 2: What happened in the world where yeah, there's now these
- 24:59Speaker 2: people that just aren't allowed to make mistakes. It's it's weird.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I mean, I can understand maybe like a politician's held
- 25:04Speaker 2: on a pretty high pedestal. Fair, yeah, you know, but
- 25:07Speaker 2: still they're gonna make a human levels to it, like
- 25:10Speaker 2: the like obviously if it affects other people, like it
- 25:14Speaker 2: goes further than just that person saying something wrong. But
- 25:16Speaker 2: if like fuck, if your favorite fucking famous person says
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't know something wrong about fucking how he finds
- 25:22Speaker 2: his girlfriend's g spot like it's fine, yeah, exact to
- 25:27Speaker 2: be fair, that's fine, And.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Then he gets corrected and says, there actually isn't one spot, mate,
- 25:31Speaker 4: Like there's this thing that this build up, yeah, and
- 25:33Speaker 4: like it moves around and it st different every person.
- 25:35Speaker 4: He's like, oh wow, like I didn't know, like I'm
- 25:36Speaker 4: sorry I didn't educate myself. Probably that's fine, But then
- 25:40Speaker 4: there's fifteen news articles written on this guy saying like,
- 25:43Speaker 4: fucking Jake Craig doesn't know how.
- 25:45Speaker 2: To find the headline, Jake Craig can't find girlfriends, spot
- 25:51Speaker 2: poor girl. Carl Sandalance, it's just Carl Sandlanz offers to teach. Yeah, like,
- 26:00Speaker 2: it's just funny and I don't know.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Life is just weird concept that everyone hasn't done before
- 26:04Speaker 4: and we just got to figure it out exactly.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, baddies, time for a dilemma.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 26:17Speaker 2: You know what to do. If you want to send
- 26:19Speaker 2: money in they're all anonymous, you can do it in
- 26:21Speaker 2: the link in the description of this video and or
- 26:24Speaker 2: the link in the bio of our Instagram. Click the
- 26:26Speaker 2: comeo and you scroll down. You do it. Okay. My
- 26:29Speaker 2: best friend is recently single and lately she has been
- 26:32Speaker 2: sleeping around, which I'm all for. Although there has been
- 26:36Speaker 2: multiple people that I have been with before that she
- 26:39Speaker 2: would ask if she can go for them too, I
- 26:42Speaker 2: always say yes. It's a relatable I always say yes
- 26:46Speaker 2: because I genuinely don't care about them. Although as the
- 26:49Speaker 2: number goes up. I'm starting to feel really uncomfortable with it,
- 26:53Speaker 2: even though I have no feelings for the guys whatsoever.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Sometimes we have argued over guys because we have both
- 26:59Speaker 2: been with them before, and even though I tell her
- 27:02Speaker 2: I'm okay with it, it's starting to make me lose
- 27:05Speaker 2: my trust in her. What do you guys think? How
- 27:08Speaker 2: should I talk to her about this? Oh? Okay? Initially,
- 27:12Speaker 2: when I read it the first time, right, I was
- 27:15Speaker 2: thinking like, oh, well, maybe like you just haven't accepted
- 27:18Speaker 2: that you do like some of these guys. Nah. But
- 27:22Speaker 2: what I am getting at, what I'm starting to get at,
- 27:24Speaker 2: like in my head after reading it at the end,
- 27:26Speaker 2: was like she's losing trust in her because maybe she's thinking,
- 27:29Speaker 2: like what if I get a boyfriend and all of
- 27:31Speaker 2: a sudden she just wants to sleep with that guy
- 27:32Speaker 2: because we've been switching guys, you know, Like.
- 27:35Speaker 4: I just think that her friend isn't respecting her boundaries.
- 27:40Speaker 2: But she asks.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I still don't think that's respectful. Really asking is one thing,
- 27:44Speaker 4: but like if you slept, say we're both single, when
- 27:46Speaker 4: you slept with a couple of girls And then I
- 27:48Speaker 4: somehow was talking to them on a night out and
- 27:50Speaker 4: I knew you slept with him, were like, oh I
- 27:52Speaker 4: slept with her like a month ago or year. I'd
- 27:53Speaker 4: be like, oh, so a man did not that's off limits.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Really I wouldn't what if I didn't care, because she's
- 27:58Speaker 2: saying she doesn't care, because like in the friends defense,
- 28:00Speaker 2: she's saying she doesn't care as that.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Many fucking people in the world.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Why are you sleeping?
- 28:03Speaker 4: Why do you want to have sex with someone that
- 28:05Speaker 4: your best friend is also had sex with someone and
- 28:07Speaker 4: made a connection.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Feelings aren't there. I just think out of respect, I
- 28:10Speaker 4: shouldn't do it because you were in there first. I mean,
- 28:14Speaker 4: look fair, but I feel like that I would value
- 28:17Speaker 4: I value my friendship.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Like she said, how do I bring this up with
- 28:21Speaker 2: the friend? I would say, oh, after you go, I
- 28:23Speaker 2: got something.
- 28:24Speaker 4: I would say, hey, I know you keep asking me
- 28:27Speaker 4: if you want to have sex with the people that
- 28:29Speaker 4: I've already had sex with, which is fine, and I'm
- 28:31Speaker 4: voicing how I feel and I don't have any feelings
- 28:33Speaker 4: for them, which is okay. But I feel like it's
- 28:35Speaker 4: like stepping on a line where you're taking it too
- 28:39Speaker 4: far and you're not respecting my boundaries at all.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yep, you're not very seeing our friendship very similar. I
- 28:46Speaker 2: was gonna say it could be as easy as sitting
- 28:49Speaker 2: her down and just bring it up, like hey, like,
- 28:52Speaker 2: I know, I've told you I'm okay with it, and
- 28:54Speaker 2: I don't like the guys, like I don't want to
- 28:56Speaker 2: be with them, but I think for the sake of
- 28:59Speaker 2: our friendship, yeah, we just shouldn't go for the same guys.
- 29:02Speaker 2: It's I think, like and and it's making things the
- 29:05Speaker 2: dirty and tricky. Yeah, you know, I think that that's
- 29:09Speaker 2: not a big ask because, like you said, there is
- 29:13Speaker 2: so many people in the world. It's not a big
- 29:14Speaker 2: ask at all.
- 29:15Speaker 4: And I think the person sending in this dilemma is
- 29:17Speaker 4: questioning whether or not her emotions are valid because she
- 29:21Speaker 4: doesn't have feelings for them.
- 29:22Speaker 1: And I think they are completely valid.
- 29:25Speaker 4: That's to feel this icky way even though you don't
- 29:27Speaker 4: have feelings for this guy and your friends sleeping with
- 29:29Speaker 4: all of them, Like, I just don't see the I
- 29:31Speaker 4: don't I'm just immediately if Jake slept with a girl,
- 29:33Speaker 4: I'm also kind of turned off them, Like I'm not
- 29:36Speaker 4: as they're not attractive, but like they become more of
- 29:38Speaker 4: like a friend or a sibling rather than someone that
- 29:41Speaker 4: I find attractive.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I'm trying to think we've never slept with the same person. No,
- 29:46Speaker 2: and if we did, if like, I don't think I
- 29:50Speaker 2: have with anyone I know. No, I know, like it's
- 29:54Speaker 2: friends of friends, but not like friends. No, no, you're
- 29:57Speaker 2: not someone that you can close tight group.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Yeah, oh no, I know you have.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Actually okay, right, it was their first.
- 30:05Speaker 1: It was their first, not you. Oh no, no, you actually
- 30:07Speaker 1: wear their first.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Sorry you got I got my timelines mixed up. Were first.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I wouldn't do that.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't do that. And I think that's a
- 30:19Speaker 4: good dilemma to bring up with your friend and say, like, look,
- 30:21Speaker 4: I value our friendships. Just let's not make the things
- 30:24Speaker 4: dirty and have sex with each other's body counts who
- 30:27Speaker 4: we've had.
- 30:28Speaker 2: To you and I, it sounds like the easiest thing
- 30:32Speaker 2: in the world.
- 30:33Speaker 4: And but some people, some friendships, guys and girls, really
- 30:36Speaker 4: value sex a lot higher than the friendship. Like a
- 30:42Speaker 4: lot of people will rather flick the bean and have
- 30:45Speaker 4: some fun then fucking have our relationship as friends.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I mean, you're so right on a night out, like.
- 30:56Speaker 4: I know plenty, especially the dudes do. I'm sure the
- 30:58Speaker 4: girls are the same, and there's no dudes do. Dudes
- 31:01Speaker 4: are probably more because I'm exposed to dudes. But like that,
- 31:04Speaker 4: many dudes will throw like their mates under the bus
- 31:07Speaker 4: to have sex. Honestly, they talk shit, they fucking go
- 31:13Speaker 4: behind their backs. They do all this tricky business just
- 31:16Speaker 4: to get some when in reality, I think people should
- 31:18Speaker 4: be valuing their friendships a lot higher than said sex,
- 31:21Speaker 4: especially if your friends. I could understand if the friend
- 31:25Speaker 4: having sex with him said, do you care if I
- 31:29Speaker 4: sleep with so and so, I'm beginning to get feelings
- 31:31Speaker 4: for them.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Okay, then I would be see it going somewhere.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Then I would be like, oh, okay, no, I don't
- 31:38Speaker 4: have feelings for them, Like go ahead, I'm glad you checked.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we had one night stand like it was
- 31:42Speaker 2: nothing like don't yeah, yeah, I'm glad you checked.
- 31:45Speaker 4: But if she's just doing it also because she's on
- 31:47Speaker 4: a glow up error, which is completely fine, her bad
- 31:49Speaker 4: error having sex with people finding herself again, Yeah, I
- 31:52Speaker 4: think you should just go to a fucking different club
- 31:54Speaker 4: and have sex with other random dudes.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Yeah please, yeah, bring it up with her, just say
- 31:58Speaker 2: to it. Look to protect our friendship. I value it
- 32:00Speaker 2: so much, I think we should not sleep with the
- 32:02Speaker 2: same people just saying it out loud. It's just not
- 32:04Speaker 2: a big ars. It's just really not a big ars. No,
- 32:07Speaker 2: because but you have to say it, just like, not
- 32:09Speaker 2: in an attacking way, just be like I think, don't like,
- 32:12Speaker 2: don't tell her that she's disrespecting you anything like that.
- 32:14Speaker 2: I think you have to say it because it's just you.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I think you should just be like, I'm feeling affected,
- 32:17Speaker 2: but I prefer our friendship over the fact.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's so fair.
- 32:21Speaker 2: I think so as well. Yeah, I mean, if you
- 32:23Speaker 2: guys are in the Facebook group, yeah, fucking let us know,
- 32:25Speaker 2: because we feel like it's fair honestly.
- 32:27Speaker 4: And if like, if she doesn't see it's fair and
- 32:30Speaker 4: she doesn't value the friendship as much as you do,
- 32:32Speaker 4: I think that's a win finding.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Out as well.
- 32:35Speaker 2: True.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Yeah, true.
- 32:36Speaker 4: If she said I want to have sex with them, like, oh, well,
- 32:39Speaker 4: like I thought we had something a bit more special.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Maybe I was wrong. Yeah, get toxic, start getting with
- 32:45Speaker 2: like real hot dudes that she can't get with.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Oh shit, Noah, that's me or right, Jake.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Not on purpose? We have become a word that I
- 33:06Speaker 2: don't like oh, okay, influencers. I don't care. I mean,
- 33:12Speaker 2: it's just it's just a category of what I'd prefer
- 33:15Speaker 2: to say on a podcast.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 33:17Speaker 2: We started out wanting to be podcasters. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 2: which I mean we are, which we are, yes, yes, yes.
- 33:24Speaker 4: And as a subsequent which we are very fortunate to
- 33:26Speaker 4: be in the position we have become influencers due to
- 33:30Speaker 4: our social media following on TikTok and Instagram. Yes, and
- 33:35Speaker 4: there's this weird world that we live in that some
- 33:38Speaker 4: reason influencers don't like to talk about it.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Yeah, what is with that? I mean, like, I guess
- 33:44Speaker 2: no one really likes to talk about their own like
- 33:46Speaker 2: I guess salary or like just all the nitty grip.
- 33:49Speaker 4: But you can tell how like you can tell people
- 33:50Speaker 4: how it works, people don't even Like. There's one thing
- 33:53Speaker 4: that I'm realizing in life is a lot of the
- 33:55Speaker 4: information you have you take for granted and people don't
- 33:57Speaker 4: know it, and like you just keep that information yourself.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Like me, pt I take some of that information I
- 34:03Speaker 4: have for granted, and some people could benefit from that information.
- 34:06Speaker 4: So I thought me and Jakes could have some a
- 34:08Speaker 4: good riveting conversation about being open about the influencer world
- 34:12Speaker 4: and brand deals and how everything works, and just I
- 34:16Speaker 4: feel like it could be such a good interesting conversation.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Also like tips for growing on social media because we've
- 34:21Speaker 4: done it.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Yeah. I always do say, like people will ask us,
- 34:25Speaker 2: We get questions about whether or not not, whether or
- 34:27Speaker 2: not sorry, just questions about maybe what we're doing to
- 34:31Speaker 2: grow the podcast or how to grow a podcast. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 2: And I always tell people that we are in the
- 34:36Speaker 2: middle of that right now. Like we I say, like,
- 34:40Speaker 2: we now understand how to gain a following on social media,
- 34:44Speaker 2: and we want to have a really big podcast. And
- 34:47Speaker 2: it's not that we don't. Let we we love it
- 34:49Speaker 2: and appreciate everything, and we think we have a great podcast.
- 34:52Speaker 2: But I always say to people like, yeah, we know
- 34:55Speaker 2: social media, that's like what we do. But now we're
- 34:57Speaker 2: working on how to learn how to make the podcast bigger.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Yeah, two different entities social media and then there's a podcast.
- 35:04Speaker 4: And that line often gets blurred a lot of the time,
- 35:06Speaker 4: And it's the same thing when it's really two completely
- 35:09Speaker 4: different industries that don't even talk to each.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Other, not really, Hey, like sometimes but not really. Yeah.
- 35:15Speaker 4: I bet heaps of people listening either want to grow
- 35:18Speaker 4: their personal pages or is just interested in finding out
- 35:21Speaker 4: how the industry works.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I find Yeah, do you reckon? Like maybe people don't
- 35:25Speaker 2: want to give insights on the industry because then it's
- 35:29Speaker 2: like the competition or some shit, maybe competition or like
- 35:34Speaker 2: they think that. I don't know. I don't feel like
- 35:37Speaker 2: anyone saying like, oh, you guys don't deserve the money
- 35:40Speaker 2: you make would affect me at all because like they
- 35:42Speaker 2: don't know the work that went into it. Like maybe
- 35:44Speaker 2: some people don't want to disclose that they feel like
- 35:47Speaker 2: they're making quite a bit of money for not doing
- 35:49Speaker 2: that much work, but they don't think about like all
- 35:51Speaker 2: the work that went into growing the page or something
- 35:53Speaker 2: like that. Yeah, they don't understand like where the money
- 35:55Speaker 2: comes from.
- 35:56Speaker 4: But also like fuck that, Like dumbas also just want
- 35:59Speaker 4: to tell them because they can do whatever they want
- 36:01Speaker 4: with the information and it's going to help. I'm more
- 36:03Speaker 4: happy helping one person and a couple of people getting
- 36:06Speaker 4: angry because someone's making a lot of money, which we're
- 36:08Speaker 4: not making.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Heaps of money. No, No, some like, okay, well what
- 36:13Speaker 2: should we start with?
- 36:14Speaker 4: Then I was gonna want to start with how to
- 36:16Speaker 4: grow pages and then go into the background information of
- 36:19Speaker 4: how to make money on social media.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, we can give what we know.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Yeah, so the first tip I'm kind of happy to
- 36:26Speaker 4: have this, yea, honestly here at all time though, is consistency.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I was thinking about this the other day. Actually,
- 36:33Speaker 2: if someone was to say to me, like what should
- 36:35Speaker 2: I do, or if maybe I don't know, a podcast
- 36:38Speaker 2: that's not as big as ours came to us and
- 36:39Speaker 2: was like, what do you think we should do? And
- 36:42Speaker 2: I would like, the hardest the genuinely, Oh it's so
- 36:47Speaker 2: fucking lame, I reckon, you'd agree, But the hardest part
- 36:50Speaker 2: is like just growing the confidence to be able to
- 36:54Speaker 2: just like start posting. Well, that's also what I was
- 36:56Speaker 2: going to say.
- 36:57Speaker 4: I had a conversation with someone the other day who
- 36:58Speaker 4: was trying to grow his page, and Jake and I
- 37:02Speaker 4: got lucky in the fact that we had each other,
- 37:04Speaker 4: So we had this little safety bubble around us where
- 37:07Speaker 4: our mindsets individually also didn't care what people think, but
- 37:11Speaker 4: also this safety bubble of having each other and each
- 37:13Speaker 4: other being delusional in this goal. We had helped not
- 37:17Speaker 4: let outside his perspective ruin our goal of becoming a
- 37:20Speaker 4: really good podcast. Yeah, so we just started posting and
- 37:23Speaker 4: not giving a fuck what people think, which is a
- 37:25Speaker 4: lot harder for an individual out there. But the first
- 37:28Speaker 4: thing is like not caring what people think and also
- 37:32Speaker 4: realizing that you are the person to make the content
- 37:34Speaker 4: you want to make.
- 37:35Speaker 1: A lot of people think like, oh, my.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Voice is an important Like why should I make a
- 37:40Speaker 4: fitness page? Why should I make a beauty page? Like
- 37:42Speaker 4: I'm not the most beautiful, I'm not the fucking fittest.
- 37:45Speaker 4: But if you have a passion about that, you can
- 37:47Speaker 4: do whatever the fuck you want to do. Yeah, And
- 37:51Speaker 4: it's just like getting out of this bubble of what
- 37:53Speaker 4: other people think and posting every single day or jazz much.
- 38:00Speaker 2: As you can. Yeah, I reckon like of anything. I
- 38:05Speaker 2: do think that the best thing you can do is actually, yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 2: to post every day.
- 38:08Speaker 1: It is, and it's it seems like a lot.
- 38:10Speaker 4: You just have to set up a system in a
- 38:11Speaker 4: way where you can get content out that isn't isn't
- 38:16Speaker 4: overly draining.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah. I also think like there was probably times where
- 38:21Speaker 2: I'm not probably sorry, there's like there's been so many
- 38:24Speaker 2: times where maybe we'd I'd go to post a clip
- 38:27Speaker 2: for the podcast, and I like, I didn't even like
- 38:30Speaker 2: the clip, but I think that like it does something
- 38:34Speaker 2: for you and your learning of like at least I
- 38:37Speaker 2: got it out, like I said i'd post, so I posted.
- 38:40Speaker 2: And then also like if you don't like this said clip,
- 38:42Speaker 2: it also just kind of helps you, maybe say, like
- 38:45Speaker 2: maybe if I edited a clip and I didn't like
- 38:47Speaker 2: it and we thought it was gonna be good, and
- 38:48Speaker 2: I can come to you and be like, look this
- 38:50Speaker 2: actually it's just it's fucking shit, like yeah, and then
- 38:52Speaker 2: they just kind of you learn that like what you
- 38:54Speaker 2: do and don't like and and stuff like that. And
- 38:57Speaker 2: I had a question actually I went I was winning
- 38:59Speaker 2: a row trip the other day and I did question
- 39:01Speaker 2: box on Instagram. I didn't answer the question I wish
- 39:04Speaker 2: I did, But one of the questions was, how do
- 39:08Speaker 2: you have you gained confidence posting and being yourself on
- 39:11Speaker 2: social media? Because like I guess like on my stories
- 39:13Speaker 2: and maybe if I if I ever posted TikTok pretty
- 39:17Speaker 2: rarely these days, but I just like we just be ourselves,
- 39:20Speaker 2: like we don't give a shit anymore. Yeah, And I
- 39:21Speaker 2: mean the answer is like at the start, I was
- 39:23Speaker 2: fucking terrified, hated it. If I went back and watched
- 39:25Speaker 2: early videos of the podcast, early videos on my own
- 39:27Speaker 2: TikTok page. I fucking hate them.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Like it's literally just time and being exposed to what
- 39:33Speaker 4: you're doing a start.
- 39:35Speaker 2: You're going to be bad at it. You're gonna fucking
- 39:38Speaker 2: suck at it. Yeah, and you're not, and you're okay.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Your content is not going to mean anything. It's going
- 39:43Speaker 2: to mean something to you maybe, but like you're like,
- 39:46Speaker 2: it's not going to mean anything for the longest time
- 39:47Speaker 2: because like it's going to take a while for you
- 39:49Speaker 2: to find your voice. Yeah, you know, like your your
- 39:51Speaker 2: personality might even change or my floorish even more. I
- 39:53Speaker 2: don't know.
- 39:54Speaker 1: It took us like ages.
- 39:56Speaker 2: It feels like ages.
- 39:57Speaker 4: Maybe, I would say, over twelve months to figure out
- 40:00Speaker 4: this version of the podcast where we give a male's
- 40:05Speaker 4: perspective on females like lives and also like be a
- 40:10Speaker 4: voice to up the quality of men in the world. Yeah,
- 40:14Speaker 4: we didn't do that, Like at the start, it was
- 40:16Speaker 4: to normalize.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I think that's a good thing.
- 40:17Speaker 4: A good point to have is with your content, even
- 40:19Speaker 4: if it's shit or you just want to start, have
- 40:21Speaker 4: a good meeting behind it.
- 40:22Speaker 2: That always helps. Yeah, that helps it because it also
- 40:24Speaker 2: just helps you, makes you feel like, it feels like
- 40:25Speaker 2: it's got a purpose, and ours was to normalize men
- 40:27Speaker 2: being able to talk about their feelings.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Yeah, and that grew into this version of the pod
- 40:32Speaker 4: which we have now. But if you ask me two
- 40:34Speaker 4: years ago before we started, if we would be talking
- 40:36Speaker 4: about the stuff we talking about, I would be like, funk,
- 40:37Speaker 4: I've got no idea.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Man, No, yeah, it's the And also if you go
- 40:42Speaker 2: back and listen to the early episodes, I would say
- 40:44Speaker 2: they're probably not really anything like they are now.
- 40:47Speaker 4: No, but we changed, we grow, and like we grow
- 40:50Speaker 4: as people as well as the content grows and the
- 40:52Speaker 4: stuff we want to talk about changes. Yeah, I'm sure
- 40:55Speaker 4: if we keep the Poty in thirty years we're going
- 40:56Speaker 4: to be talking about like fucking.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Different shit podcasts. Who knows what will fucking turn into. Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 2: So first, the thing is you evolve, because like the
- 41:06Speaker 2: podcast evolves with the humans you are, because we started
- 41:09Speaker 2: it two years ago and we're different people to who
- 41:10Speaker 2: we are two years ago. Yeah, So I think first
- 41:13Speaker 2: tip is being consistent.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Second tip is realizing that you're going to be shit
- 41:16Speaker 4: and you've got to post no matter what because that's
- 41:18Speaker 4: gonna improve your confidence and the level of quality of
- 41:23Speaker 4: content you're putting out there. Just over time, you just
- 41:25Speaker 4: get better. And the final tip it seems so simple,
- 41:28Speaker 4: but also like all those tips seem simple, like obviously
- 41:31Speaker 4: he's got to post all the time. It's all easier said,
- 41:32Speaker 4: they're done realizing that numbers of other people aren't a
- 41:37Speaker 4: reflection of how much work you're putting in. So say,
- 41:41Speaker 4: social media is this weird world where if I get
- 41:43Speaker 4: one hundred views or a thousand views, that's not perceived
- 41:46Speaker 4: as good because you're not getting the next of our video.
- 41:49Speaker 1: But it's realizing that.
- 41:50Speaker 4: I remember when we first started the pod, like we
- 41:52Speaker 4: got one hundred and fifty listens.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I was stoked. That's one hundred and fifty people. Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I think our first episode got something like forty, and
- 41:59Speaker 2: we were like, well, forty people listen to it, and
- 42:01Speaker 2: then it would like slowly like start to go up
- 42:03Speaker 2: a bit, and I think at one point maybe it
- 42:04Speaker 2: was we'll get in like three sixty yeah, and I
- 42:07Speaker 2: was thinking like fuck it, oaths, like that's.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Three hundred and sixty people, and you can really strip
- 42:11Speaker 4: it back for what it is and if you get
- 42:13Speaker 4: I don't know a hundred likes and thousand start, and
- 42:16Speaker 4: that one hundred people in a room liked your video.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Imagine if a hundred people came up to you and
- 42:20Speaker 2: said I like you. Yeah, it's a fucking one hundred
- 42:22Speaker 2: people's crazy.
- 42:23Speaker 4: It's adding a human side to your social media and
- 42:25Speaker 4: realizing that like, don't get like let down and your
- 42:28Speaker 4: motivation leave because you aren't getting one, two hundred thousand,
- 42:32Speaker 4: a million views every time. Think about it in like
- 42:35Speaker 4: a human way that that one hundred people or even
- 42:38Speaker 4: ten people like your video.
- 42:40Speaker 2: That's a lot of people. Yeah, and if your social
- 42:42Speaker 2: media is so fake, man, if you fifteen people like
- 42:44Speaker 2: your video, you're like, oh, that's fucking obviously the shit
- 42:46Speaker 2: is video. Ever we do it, it's we're guilty of
- 42:48Speaker 2: It's like the shit is obviously it's a shit video.
- 42:50Speaker 2: But fifteen people coming up to you on the street
- 42:52Speaker 2: and saying I like you, it's like when you think
- 42:54Speaker 2: about it, like it's a lot.
- 42:55Speaker 4: And and last tip before we get into it, I
- 42:58Speaker 4: don't know how business works, is that social media is.
- 43:02Speaker 2: A lot of luck.
- 43:04Speaker 4: Oh yes, there's a lot of luck, yep, But you
- 43:08Speaker 4: have to be in it to win it.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yep. So if you see someone.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Be like I wish I could be them, I wish
- 43:12Speaker 4: I could be that, Then why aren't you posting? M
- 43:15Speaker 4: Like honestly, if you keep putting content out there like us,
- 43:18Speaker 4: we don't know what's going to blow up. No one
- 43:20Speaker 4: knows what's blowing up. You can give tips on the algorithm,
- 43:22Speaker 4: you can do anything, but it's a lot of luck
- 43:24Speaker 4: and if you're in it, you can win it. So
- 43:26Speaker 4: if you consistently post, that's how you can be.
- 43:30Speaker 2: How you learn, because like, yeah, you could give ten
- 43:32Speaker 2: shit videos and one good one. You're like, okay, well,
- 43:33Speaker 2: well why was it that one good one? Good? And
- 43:35Speaker 2: again though it is luck, like if oury first time
- 43:37Speaker 2: we had a vild video, I remember that hit a million.
- 43:41Speaker 2: We're fucking losing our minds. Oh god, I wish I could.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Like we were happier then than a video hitting like
- 43:46Speaker 2: ten million. Now if it ever does, it hasn't happened
- 43:49Speaker 2: for a while, but like we were so stoked and
- 43:54Speaker 2: thinking back on it, not even for a second. I
- 43:56Speaker 2: don't even think for one second, did we like ask
- 43:58Speaker 2: ourselves like, oh obviously that was a good video. What
- 44:02Speaker 2: made a go viral? Yeah? Because we were just like
- 44:04Speaker 2: fuck yeah, like, let's just keep doing Obviously obviously what
- 44:07Speaker 2: we're doing is right. And then it took fucking like
- 44:09Speaker 2: months and months for it to have it again, and
- 44:10Speaker 2: we were okakay, well what made this one go viral?
- 44:12Speaker 2: And again it's just it's random luck of the algorithm,
- 44:16Speaker 2: Like I just don't base hard work like I could.
- 44:19Speaker 2: We could work for fucking hours on a clip that
- 44:21Speaker 2: we think is going to be sick.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It's just it's a funny world.
- 44:25Speaker 2: It was so funny thinking back on it.
- 44:26Speaker 4: And honestly, we could have probably cut six to twelve
- 44:29Speaker 4: months of our time if we realized what worked good
- 44:31Speaker 4: in that video and why it worked good. And now
- 44:34Speaker 4: we sort of know a little bit more, but we still.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Don't know it.
- 44:36Speaker 2: I wouldn't change it day.
- 44:39Speaker 4: What's the cliche saying it's not about the end goal,
- 44:41Speaker 4: it's about the journey.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Like thinking about us getting our first million views. Our
- 44:45Speaker 4: best friend Jackie lived under us at the time, was
- 44:47Speaker 4: coming upstairs every ten minutes when I was going like.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Eight, okay, yeah, he came out and then and then
- 44:51Speaker 2: you'd scroll and refreshing and be like.
- 44:53Speaker 4: And then it came up at like nine hundred and
- 44:55Speaker 4: eighty and we sat on the couch and then we
- 44:56Speaker 4: all went up for jamas and got hyped. Yeah, and
- 44:58Speaker 4: it was like, it's a beautiful memory. And obviously it's
- 45:02Speaker 4: not always about fucking hitting a million views or anything, but.
- 45:05Speaker 2: No, it was just fun. It was very fun and nah,
- 45:08Speaker 2: we don't care. The best thing about.
- 45:10Speaker 4: Social media is that, like it gives you the opportunity
- 45:12Speaker 4: like nothing else could, to monetize your passions. Yeah, which
- 45:16Speaker 4: is very very exciting.
- 45:17Speaker 2: True. Yeah. A lot of people say, like, if you
- 45:19Speaker 2: want to be happy, to do what you're passionate about,
- 45:20Speaker 2: and the best way to do that these days is
- 45:22Speaker 2: to actually fucking try and get a social media following. Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 2: we're completely honest if you want to sell something or.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Some people with that, but that's what the world's coming to.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Yeah, true. I mean I don't and you don't have
- 45:30Speaker 2: to agree with it, like that's just our opinion. Yeah, fair.
- 45:33Speaker 1: And then the other side of things is business.
- 45:36Speaker 4: Yeah, and I don't know, there's probably a bit of
- 45:38Speaker 4: a misconception that we're ballers.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I probably like, but.
- 45:43Speaker 2: But no, I think we're just like normal. Yeah.
- 45:45Speaker 4: So there's sick there's a couple so sick, Yeah, very
- 45:47Speaker 4: sick that we get to do this for a living. Yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 4: there's a couple avenues of income. First one is that
- 45:52Speaker 4: we don't know the TikTok creative fund, otherwise we would
- 45:54Speaker 4: be ballers.
- 45:55Speaker 2: But that's actually that is like, it's crazy. If we
- 45:58Speaker 2: had the TikTok creative fund, I think we would be Yeah,
- 46:01Speaker 2: we different people, but we'd be fucking yeah, we'd be
- 46:04Speaker 2: different people.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Yeah, we use Instagram and TikTok. Think of it as
- 46:09Speaker 4: like a funnel. So TikTok is the best platform that
- 46:13Speaker 4: has exposure to get eyes. So this is also like, say,
- 46:16Speaker 4: our podcast is our brand. So if you have a
- 46:17Speaker 4: clothing brand or any type of brand out there, beauty brand,
- 46:21Speaker 4: think of our podcast as your brand. The funnel at
- 46:24Speaker 4: the top of it is TikTok because that has the
- 46:25Speaker 4: best exposure. So that's like the getting eyes on relatables,
- 46:29Speaker 4: and you need a couple point of contact before people
- 46:31Speaker 4: actually commit to listening to our podcast. Yeah, so the
- 46:34Speaker 4: first one is TikTok where we get views and then
- 46:37Speaker 4: we also get if we get a brand deal on TikTok,
- 46:40Speaker 4: we're going to give them figures ballpark.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like when you have a big page, like
- 46:45Speaker 2: it's thousands of dollars, but it's under ten thousand dollars. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 46:48Speaker 2: yeah yeah.
- 46:49Speaker 4: And different brands pay for different things depending on what
- 46:51Speaker 4: they want. And some brands want a lot more, so
- 46:53Speaker 4: you charge more, and some brands give you all creative
- 46:56Speaker 4: freedom and they charge a lot less.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I don't know. Yeah, I don't know if
- 46:59Speaker 2: giving fig is good or bad, to be honest with you,
- 47:01Speaker 2: like if we do, because like with brands in the
- 47:03Speaker 2: future we work with, we want to be able to
- 47:04Speaker 2: get the most money out of it. Yeah, but like
- 47:06Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't really matter because like another thing,
- 47:08Speaker 2: So to finish off your funnel. Thing is the way
- 47:11Speaker 2: we look at it. I don't know if this is correct.
- 47:13Speaker 2: This is the way we look at it. Is the
- 47:15Speaker 2: top of your funnel. TikTok, it's the biggest one where
- 47:17Speaker 2: you get the most eyes. And then you want to
- 47:18Speaker 2: try and transfer them from TikTok to Instagram, And then
- 47:21Speaker 2: you want to.
- 47:21Speaker 4: Go Instagram become fans because they actually follow you in
- 47:23Speaker 4: their page. This stuff pops up on their page because
- 47:25Speaker 4: they care.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you want to go from Instagram. That's
- 47:29Speaker 2: where you will try and get them to go from
- 47:31Speaker 2: Instagram to become an actual listener for the podcast or
- 47:33Speaker 2: from Instagram to maybe your website if you're trying to
- 47:35Speaker 2: sell something, and then if we can get them to
- 47:37Speaker 2: the podcast, it's up to us to keep them there.
- 47:38Speaker 2: And then the end goal for us is actually to
- 47:40Speaker 2: get obviously lots of podcast listeners, but then the end
- 47:43Speaker 2: goal for us is to try and transfer them to
- 47:44Speaker 2: them Patreon where they pay for the content, yes, and
- 47:47Speaker 2: so that's our funnel, and then to get them to youtubes.
- 47:49Speaker 2: It's slightly different, but it's a similar thing. Like it's
- 47:51Speaker 2: all like we think of it as funnels.
- 47:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and like in an ideal world, if that funnel
- 47:57Speaker 4: worked perfectly, like we go from like eight hundred thousand
- 48:01Speaker 4: on TikTok, the three hundred k on Instagram to like,
- 48:06Speaker 4: I think we have sixty.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Thousand followers on Spotify. Yeah, podcast listeners, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 2: yea yeah yeah.
- 48:11Speaker 4: So you can see how the funnel really starts to
- 48:12Speaker 4: like less water goes through and less water goes through.
- 48:15Speaker 1: And then in an ideal world, because someone brands.
- 48:18Speaker 4: Like ah, like you don't always want to have too
- 48:22Speaker 4: many brands on your page because it looks like you're
- 48:23Speaker 4: a sellout. Yeah, and like in an ideal world, our
- 48:26Speaker 4: Patreon would pay for us to do this, so we
- 48:28Speaker 4: make the best content possible. Also, brand does take away
- 48:30Speaker 4: from us making content because we're building it for other
- 48:32Speaker 4: people's brand.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Which we're appreciative of, which is good. It's a good thing.
- 48:36Speaker 4: But in an ideal world, this funnel works perfectly and
- 48:39Speaker 4: Patreon pays for us to talk to you guys, Yeah,
- 48:42Speaker 4: that would be ideal.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:43Speaker 4: And then in the background, like the backside of us.
- 48:46Speaker 4: The good thing about our business model is because we're
- 48:48Speaker 4: a podcast, we edit like so it's like a full
- 48:50Speaker 4: time job of editing behind the scenes. Whereas like if
- 48:52Speaker 4: anyone's an influencers or something like that, not taking anything
- 48:54Speaker 4: away from them, they don't have that like core of editing,
- 48:58Speaker 4: so they have this like free time. I'm where they
- 49:00Speaker 4: have to think of videos to do. Yep, ours is
- 49:02Speaker 4: more of a job, whereas I don't want to speak,
- 49:04Speaker 4: I'm sure they do a lot of shit before Yeah, no,
- 49:06Speaker 4: one hundred percent, they do.
- 49:07Speaker 2: They do a lot of shit. But also like even
- 49:09Speaker 2: our manager when we were in Korea, she was in
- 49:11Speaker 2: career with us, and she was talking about it. She
- 49:14Speaker 2: was like, you guys are lucky because if the Internet
- 49:16Speaker 2: died tomorrow, or let's just say, like TikTok and all
- 49:18Speaker 2: that type of thing died tomorrow, Like we have a
- 49:21Speaker 2: skill like take away anything we've done in the past
- 49:23Speaker 2: before the podcast, Like if we had only ever done
- 49:25Speaker 2: the podcast, Like, we have a skill that we could
- 49:28Speaker 2: still make a living off of. Whereas and that skill
- 49:31Speaker 2: is production, like we know about some tech stuff, Like
- 49:33Speaker 2: we still produce everything that you guys listen to and
- 49:36Speaker 2: or watch, like and we love doing it. It's so sick.
- 49:38Speaker 2: It's the fucking sickest thing ever. But a lot of people,
- 49:41Speaker 2: like say just someone that's an influencer, where their whole
- 49:44Speaker 2: life is just like thinking of content which props to
- 49:47Speaker 2: them is not fucking easy, and then like doing it
- 49:50Speaker 2: and doing the bit of editing and stuff like that.
- 49:52Speaker 2: If it's a pretty simple type of page, if the
- 49:55Speaker 2: fucking TikTok died, then we'd.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Still have skill set. Yeah, talking about Andrew as well.
- 50:00Speaker 4: It also goes into the business side of things. So
- 50:02Speaker 4: we hired a manager who was an independent or you
- 50:05Speaker 4: can go for an agency where a lot of people
- 50:07Speaker 4: would see online where like there's big ones and a
- 50:10Speaker 4: lot of influence have in their bio their dot name,
- 50:12Speaker 4: business name, and they're an agency and they look for
- 50:15Speaker 4: brand deals foresaid person and they put you forward. Because
- 50:18Speaker 4: so our manager is an independent, but she puts us forward.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Hey have you seen Jake and Oddie? This is what
- 50:22Speaker 4: they're about.
- 50:23Speaker 2: This is their views and analytics, because this is at
- 50:25Speaker 2: the end of the day, like it is a business still. Yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 2: and then now touching on business, is everyone thinks they're
- 50:34Speaker 2: going to do everything properly, right, Yeah, I would like
- 50:37Speaker 2: to point out I was one of those people. I
- 50:38Speaker 2: thought we were going to do anything properly. You thought
- 50:40Speaker 2: we had to have my head wrapped around it. But like,
- 50:43Speaker 2: first off, like no one does anything for you, so like,
- 50:48Speaker 2: please do your research if you're starting a business, Like
- 50:52Speaker 2: I even found like our accountant he like we obviously
- 50:55Speaker 2: are going to make him money, but even he doesn't
- 50:58Speaker 2: really tell you to do anything that's going to like
- 51:00Speaker 2: kind of help you, if that makes sense. No, no, no,
- 51:03Speaker 2: you sort of got to hint that you know what
- 51:04Speaker 2: you're talking about. But like one crazy thing that I
- 51:07Speaker 2: told my dad the other day was I was just
- 51:10Speaker 2: like Oh, man, I fucking oddie and I have this
- 51:12Speaker 2: separate account in our bank account for like the company,
- 51:17Speaker 2: and that's where we put out our tax. Yeah, and
- 51:19Speaker 2: we hate seeing it because it's just such a big
- 51:21Speaker 2: number in there because you get taxed so much. Like
- 51:24Speaker 2: we just feel like, oh, we know it's not our money,
- 51:26Speaker 2: but blah blah blah. He was like, Oh, that's crazy
- 51:28Speaker 2: that you're doing that, Like you would be so surprising
- 51:30Speaker 2: the amount of people that don't know to do that
- 51:32Speaker 2: and don't do that well being.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Relatable in twenty twenty three or twenty four whatever, it
- 51:36Speaker 4: is only fan models make a lot of money really quickly. Yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 4: And it's the same thing if you blow up on
- 51:42Speaker 4: social media whatever. You make a lot of money really
- 51:44Speaker 4: quickly and you spend it, yes, because you haven't set
- 51:48Speaker 4: up like the key fundamentals of business.
- 51:49Speaker 2: So it's sort of like being an entrepreneur in a
- 51:51Speaker 2: way which we just got chucked in. Yeah, and you
- 51:54Speaker 2: just figure it out. Yeah, you make mistakes, you fuck up.
- 51:56Speaker 4: Oh you like you might have to pay an extra
- 51:58Speaker 4: couple grands tax here, you get fucking insurance.
- 52:01Speaker 2: You gotta do this. Wow, I didn't realize all these
- 52:03Speaker 2: costs that you had to do and where Yeah, and
- 52:05Speaker 2: we're still like I reckon, we're barely surface level still,
- 52:08Speaker 2: like fucking sounds all so shit.
- 52:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I actually I liked business in school and I'm
- 52:15Speaker 4: enjoying learning about it and seeing that very very very
- 52:19Speaker 4: intricate world you live in. But it's also I think
- 52:22Speaker 4: it's good if anyone wants to start out there, because
- 52:26Speaker 4: it's sort of just like putting yourself forward, and like
- 52:29Speaker 4: when you're an employee, it's good in all and everything's
- 52:30Speaker 4: done for you and you just get to see you
- 52:34Speaker 4: see the money in your bank account and it's a
- 52:35Speaker 4: great thing. But if you want to go one step
- 52:37Speaker 4: further and see where all the money goes, like we
- 52:40Speaker 4: just got chucked in the deep end of that and
- 52:42Speaker 4: you actually see where it's all going, like the funnels
- 52:44Speaker 4: and avenues of all your money going everywhere, you're like,
- 52:46Speaker 4: holy shit, Like how can I get this money to
- 52:48Speaker 4: stay in my account and not go to this person's account?
- 52:51Speaker 4: Oh it's fun legally obviously, Oh no, yeah.
- 52:54Speaker 2: All legally, but like yeah, you just have to give
- 52:56Speaker 2: your money to tax.
- 52:57Speaker 4: It's crazy, yeah, and it's funny, But honestly, take away
- 53:00Speaker 4: of this is if you want to start social media,
- 53:02Speaker 4: I think just do it.
- 53:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we say do it.
- 53:05Speaker 4: Make a fool of yourself, because you don't know the
- 53:06Speaker 4: end of the day. We're so appreciative of everybody listening
- 53:09Speaker 4: right now, and we want to stay relatable. I remember
- 53:12Speaker 4: starting this page that like I always wanted to like
- 53:17Speaker 4: have a voice that people could relate to. Yeah, Like
- 53:20Speaker 4: I didn't want to become that person who's just like,
- 53:22Speaker 4: oh fuck, he's got so many followers and now he
- 53:25Speaker 4: just talks about fucking going to LA and yeah.
- 53:28Speaker 2: You know what's funny is when we started it and
- 53:29Speaker 2: we called it relatable, was I was always had in
- 53:31Speaker 2: the back of my head, like what if we blow
- 53:33Speaker 2: the fuck up? And like, are you still considered relatable then?
- 53:36Speaker 2: And I think that you can be.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that you can bake can be. Especially
- 53:40Speaker 4: Like the weird thing about social media is you put
- 53:42Speaker 4: people on a pedestal for some reason or like not
- 53:44Speaker 4: a pedestal. You think they're not real, or like get
- 53:46Speaker 4: excited to see them in public, which is all cool
- 53:47Speaker 4: and all, but like they're still normal people.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:50Speaker 4: And a good thing about us in our relationship is
- 53:52Speaker 4: like we keep each other accountable.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. I feel like it's been good doing
- 53:55Speaker 2: it with someone. Yeah, like feel semi doesn't get to
- 53:59Speaker 2: like I still feel the same as I did day one.
- 54:01Speaker 4: Yeah, nothing's got to my head. Like people come and
- 54:03Speaker 4: get photos for us, which we're very appreciative of. That's
- 54:05Speaker 4: the fucking course, and it's wild. But like, nothing's and
- 54:08Speaker 4: I hope it never does. And I think I've got
- 54:09Speaker 4: Jake there to keep me accountable.
- 54:11Speaker 2: It's just like I reckon, Yeah, if one of us
- 54:13Speaker 2: started to get like a big head, one.
- 54:14Speaker 4: Of us say yeah, yeah, yeh yeah, someone would keep
- 54:16Speaker 4: each I think that's why a lot of you see
- 54:18Speaker 4: in the industry, like the Sidemen is a good example
- 54:20Speaker 4: in England, who like a big successful YouTuber group, the
- 54:22Speaker 4: big group of each other, who keep each other accountable
- 54:24Speaker 4: and give each other shit when they do dumb shit.
- 54:25Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's true, Yeah they always do.
- 54:27Speaker 4: But if you're like an independent person who's blowing up,
- 54:31Speaker 4: it's very easy to get caught up in the world
- 54:32Speaker 4: of fucking I'm the best. Yeah, But honestly, I hope
- 54:36Speaker 4: that was a bit insightful. Hopefully that's what's going in
- 54:38Speaker 4: the background for us. So we just wanted to talk
- 54:40Speaker 4: about it and be relatable.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like it like yeah, true, try our best
- 54:46Speaker 2: at least Alright, guys, we're gonna finish off with a
- 54:55Speaker 2: passage from how to Piss men off? As you guys know,
- 55:00Speaker 2: what were we up to? I had a right to
- 55:02Speaker 2: Carl sandals off? That would be true. This probably some
- 55:05Speaker 2: of these might piss Carl Sandaland's off. Okay, So say
- 55:09Speaker 2: to a man, quote, you're so frugal. Who you know?
- 55:14Speaker 2: Frugal means like detailed, doesn't it means like cheap? Oh
- 55:19Speaker 2: like cheap skates? Stingy. Okay, So say you're so frugal.
- 55:23Speaker 2: This is a good trick to get a man to
- 55:25Speaker 2: spend more money on you. The next time he's in
- 55:27Speaker 2: line at Trader Joe's and sees that bouquet of flowers,
- 55:30Speaker 2: he'll think, oh, i'll show you.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Frugal good points.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Genius planning the sea, it's genius. Ah.
- 55:36Speaker 1: We love to pisce some men off. But thank you
- 55:38Speaker 1: everybody for listening.
- 55:40Speaker 2: We will see you on Wednesday. See you
