- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts Adam Todd
- 0:15Speaker 1: Brown and Conye mcspaden. Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I'm Adam Todd Brown, I'm Conormic spad and I forgot
- 0:29Speaker 1: to pull up the online hyphen stopwatch dot com clock.
- 0:32Speaker 1: But that's fine, man, we're keeping track. Watches are synchronized,
- 0:36Speaker 1: just like a good conspiracy how's it going, man.
- 0:39Speaker 2: It's going good, dude. That is the best part of
- 0:41Speaker 2: the Heist Move movie, where it's let's all synchronize our watches.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Which seems really unnecessary.
- 0:46Speaker 2: On this day and age. I feel like, yeah, it's
- 0:48Speaker 2: the iPhone standard time. I don't think there's a munch
- 0:50Speaker 2: of a much of a delay, but that is kind
- 0:52Speaker 2: of a fun move.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and at least I mean, just try to
- 0:55Speaker 1: be early. If you're in a heist, why do you
- 0:57Speaker 1: want to cut it down to the last second anyway?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you don't want to raise profile or suspicion,
- 1:02Speaker 2: you know, but shown up too early, like there's just
- 1:04Speaker 2: a guy in a reservoir dog suit at this bank.
- 1:07Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 1:08Speaker 2: For twenty minutes chilling, you know, drinking free coffee and
- 1:10Speaker 2: just like eyes darting around the room.
- 1:13Speaker 1: And he has a gun. How have you been, man?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Been good? Dude.
- 1:17Speaker 1: We haven't recorded in almost a month, right.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I know, Al, I've gotten myself back to a healthy
- 1:23Speaker 2: place where I can return to the depths of paranoia
- 1:25Speaker 2: with you. I'm excited.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We're going way down into the depths of paranoia with
- 1:29Speaker 1: this one.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Very subject, very near and dear to my heart. You know,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I was just thinking about the Star Trek prime directive
- 1:35Speaker 2: of the entire time, and yeah, talking about aliens gang.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Are you a big Star Trek fan, big Star Trek fan?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Have you watched Black Mirror yet?
- 1:43Speaker 2: I did. I watched that one the US. It's pretty good. Yeah,
- 1:46Speaker 2: there's a few little things where I'm like, you couldn't
- 1:49Speaker 2: see quotes people's genes to that. But I was like,
- 1:51Speaker 2: God's just accept it, you know. And I was just like, well, no,
- 1:54Speaker 2: she wouldn't break into someone's house just for a couple
- 1:56Speaker 2: butt plug pictures.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, well maybe whatever, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: you never know i'd break into your house for a
- 2:02Speaker 1: couple but plug pictures.
- 2:03Speaker 2: That well, that wouldn't be hard at all. I don't
- 2:05Speaker 2: live in a sky rise apart, but you know, with
- 2:08Speaker 2: fancied future security systems, that would just be as easy
- 2:11Speaker 2: as waiting for someone to be high and get the
- 2:13Speaker 2: mail and then just walk back in.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Or wait for it to be a level on your
- 2:17Speaker 1: Patreon that I can just donate to. Yeah, yeah, like
- 2:20Speaker 1: plug pictures of Keith.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I can't believe we haven't done that yet.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Get on it. You are welcome for the idea. I'm
- 2:27Speaker 1: gonna make Quincy do it on ours.
- 2:28Speaker 2: There's a wh hour. It's like twenty five bucks. I'll
- 2:30Speaker 2: come on a picture of whatever you want. And I
- 2:32Speaker 2: just was, Keith, what are we doing here? This is
- 2:34Speaker 2: this is a whole like this is a territory in
- 2:38Speaker 2: the worst case scenario that works, and you've just got
- 2:40Speaker 2: to just go good.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You've got to jis on pictures all month.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to coming. Is now your job? Have
- 2:46Speaker 2: you ever? Has that ever been a goal of yours?
- 2:49Speaker 2: To go clock in and crank one out?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta feel like any like like with sex
- 2:56Speaker 2: work or anything like, Okay, it's my job to comet
- 2:58Speaker 2: like being like a webcam buddle or something.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It just seems brutal, you know, Yeah, yeah, fuck it? So, yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: we are talking about aliens. We're talking about specifically, Are
- 3:07Speaker 1: we about to be told aliens are real?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah? And before this I thought no way, and now
- 3:11Speaker 2: I think, uh, yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It seems like it's coming. The thing that inspired this
- 3:17Speaker 1: episode idea was a New York Times article from December
- 3:20Speaker 1: sixteenth of twenty seventeen called Glowing Auras and Black Money,
- 3:25Speaker 1: the Pentagon's mysterious UFO program.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and then after like a six hour Twitter meme cycle,
- 3:31Speaker 2: everyone pretty much forgot about it. It's just like everything
- 3:34Speaker 2: these days.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah. I kind of feel like this is why they
- 3:37Speaker 1: launched that rocket over Los Angeles, because they were like, no,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I don't forget. Yeah, sometimes there's just stuff in the sky.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Oh man, that was creepy that I was. I was
- 3:45Speaker 1: right up on it. I was on the one thirty four.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I was driving out to go do some gigs in Ventura,
- 3:50Speaker 1: so I was right near the launch site and I
- 3:52Speaker 1: just like see it in the sky and I just
- 3:54Speaker 1: pulled over and I was like, well, I mean, I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: too dumb to know that this definitely isn't a nuclear
- 3:59Speaker 1: missile or a ship.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So he might be my last moments on Earth. What
- 4:02Speaker 2: am I gonna do?
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Take a video and send it to Keith Carey and
- 4:05Speaker 2: Tom Goss and say are you you guys? Freaked out?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Texting my dad, I was like, Dad, is just this
- 4:11Speaker 2: is just a prob something, right. We're cool because he's
- 4:13Speaker 2: you know, pick like knows a lot about aeronautics and shit.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So I was like, okay, come on, And I was like,
- 4:17Speaker 2: do I text my girlfriend? I love her? Do I
- 4:19Speaker 2: call my mom? What do I do? I send out
- 4:21Speaker 2: a tweet? For it was preserved my legacy? What am
- 4:24Speaker 2: I doing here?
- 4:25Speaker 1: I could see it from the balcony where we smoked sometimes.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I can see it right out there. And
- 4:30Speaker 1: what weird me? There was something like that not too
- 4:33Speaker 1: long ago also, and they were just like, no, it
- 4:36Speaker 1: was just a missile test. Just a missile test over LA.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it probably came out of Vanderburgh.
- 4:42Speaker 1: What weirded me out about this one is the trail
- 4:46Speaker 1: of smoke behind it made it look like.
- 4:49Speaker 2: It was just like pulsating and like yeah that and
- 4:51Speaker 2: it made it guy ambo, It.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Made it look like it was going one way and
- 4:55Speaker 1: then went severely off course. Yeah. So then I was like,
- 4:58Speaker 1: where is that gonna land?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah? And then, and I would have like for all
- 5:03Speaker 2: the all the griping people do about like amber alerts
- 5:07Speaker 2: or whatever, like, oh, I got this fucking amber alert
- 5:09Speaker 2: on my phone. It's like, send me an amber alert
- 5:11Speaker 2: that just is about to be a fucking spaceship in
- 5:13Speaker 2: the sky and say nothing, nothing to be afraid of.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm okay with that kind of totalitarian contact.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that would have been really fucking helpful.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Like, oh cool, Yeah, there's a civic in New Jersey
- 5:23Speaker 2: that's causing problems and I need to know about it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But everyone can just fucking pull over to the side
- 5:27Speaker 2: of the freeway and think they're gonna die for a
- 5:29Speaker 2: few minutes.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Instead, I had to do what any investigative journalist in
- 5:33Speaker 1: that situation does, and I went on Twitter and just
- 5:36Speaker 1: searched hashtag dt LA.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I did the same thing, yeah, because which I
- 5:41Speaker 2: usually do for like weird traffic things or whatever.
- 5:43Speaker 1: But oh yeah, whenever I see the police surrounding a building,
- 5:46Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, sames a lot. Yeah. The other night,
- 5:48Speaker 1: the police were looking for additional suspects in the shooting
- 5:51Speaker 1: of a female cop at the exact same time I
- 5:54Speaker 1: had to go walk my dog was but it.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And you uh, I mean, Adam, he looks auspicious. I
- 6:01Speaker 2: do any crime, I'd if murder, money laundering, whatever, you know,
- 6:05Speaker 2: like yeah, and low level supervillain type behavior. I'd be like, Okay, yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 2: the guy in the Cubs beanie with the with the
- 6:11Speaker 2: Roswell shirt and the and the dog that's there to
- 6:13Speaker 2: make him seem human, he's he's definitely got a hand
- 6:15Speaker 2: in this exactly.
- 6:17Speaker 1: So this article before we get into the article that,
- 6:21Speaker 1: it also included a video that was released and I
- 6:25Speaker 1: swear they've released like three of these videos in the
- 6:28Speaker 1: past couple of weeks.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but this is I I do love this
- 6:32Speaker 2: guy's it's a throne.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Bro. Yeah, that's our military.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I like that it went fucking and then gosh, yeah,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and this is I don't know when I've heard one
- 6:44Speaker 2: hundred and twenty knots. I was just picturing Don Natza.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Why are these earthlakes so resistant to our new technologies?
- 6:51Speaker 1: That's a reference. It's gonna land with our younger audience.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I got four impressions, dude, dudes, Bill Clinton, Don Knots,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and then you know, gay Bill Clinton, gay Don Notts.
- 7:02Speaker 2: It's not a lot of variation. I gotta play. I
- 7:04Speaker 2: gotta play the cards. I've been dealt here. Yeah, I
- 7:07Speaker 2: know that video is making the rounds. Everyone was like,
- 7:08Speaker 2: everyone's freaked out for a second. And then just because
- 7:11Speaker 2: we live in an unending cacophony of the holy shit, okay,
- 7:15Speaker 2: that's trending, it was just like, all right, well, I
- 7:18Speaker 2: guess with healthcare is illegal now, all right, I guess
- 7:21Speaker 2: we got to look at that.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's like and then there was another video I saw
- 7:24Speaker 1: I think it was on CNN. That's a different one
- 7:28Speaker 1: where but it's also released from the Department of Defense.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And in that one, they're following this UFO and it's
- 7:33Speaker 1: shaped like a tic tack. Yeah, and it just stops
- 7:36Speaker 1: and like turns perpendicular. Oh talk about finding the clip,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I mean exactly. But it's and it really feels like
- 7:44Speaker 1: it's coming, like they're they're finally going to be like listen,
- 7:47Speaker 1: this is.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Kind of like okay, Kanye Kanye tweeted you know soon
- 7:52Speaker 2: or something, you know or in any other you think
- 7:54Speaker 2: about a release cycle for Anny, So I go these
- 7:56Speaker 2: leaf photos of eminem outside the def JAM offices in
- 7:59Speaker 2: La like wearing a scary outfit. It's probably gonna be
- 8:02Speaker 2: a New Terrible album soon, Like.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It's gonna be like the John Mullaney bit about legalizing
- 8:07Speaker 1: weed where forever. We were like, come on, do it
- 8:10Speaker 1: and the government was like no, and then one day
- 8:12Speaker 1: they were just like, all right, we'll do it. It
- 8:14Speaker 1: seems like it's gonna be that where it's just gonna
- 8:16Speaker 1: be one day no aliens, and then next the government's
- 8:19Speaker 1: gonna be like yeah, man, they're everywhere. Yeah, just fucking everywhere.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You have no idea? Are you happy now? Yeah?
- 8:25Speaker 2: You know we won't be Yeah. And some of the
- 8:28Speaker 2: ship they get into and that, uh. In this documentary
- 8:30Speaker 2: are going to talk about about how like well, yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: they're gonna one of the Operation paper Clip guys. Von Braun,
- 8:36Speaker 2: who invented the V two rocket, I have a I
- 8:39Speaker 2: made a model rocket of that as a kid. By
- 8:40Speaker 2: the way, I used to the model rockets. That was fun,
- 8:42Speaker 2: you know, it's kind of I did kind of feel
- 8:44Speaker 2: weird going out to the park with my Nazi rocket.
- 8:46Speaker 2: But uh, yeah, you have a little launch thing. It
- 8:48Speaker 2: was a little electrogy plug into the Yeah yeah, yeah, no,
- 8:51Speaker 2: not that accurate. It was accurate, but it wasn't like
- 8:54Speaker 2: problematically accurate. Yeah. So and then they're like, well the
- 8:57Speaker 2: bullshift the focus from from Russia to terrorism to third
- 9:01Speaker 2: world countries that are developing, and it's just like, okay, well,
- 9:04Speaker 2: we're at the last phase of the release cycle here,
- 9:07Speaker 2: you know.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And the thing about that video, that's the government putting
- 9:11Speaker 1: it out. It's not some dude who was on his
- 9:13Speaker 1: balcony like me filming the Rocket X launch or SpaceX launch. Yeah, Like,
- 9:17Speaker 1: this is the government saying, yeah, here's a video of
- 9:19Speaker 1: a thing flying through the air and we don't fucking
- 9:20Speaker 1: know what it is. Sleep Tide America.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's and it's it's almost like freakier because
- 9:26Speaker 2: it's like, well, at least I feel like that guy
- 9:28Speaker 2: on on Peyote in Arizona doesn't have access to a
- 9:31Speaker 2: production team. I mean, he's probably not capable of false
- 9:35Speaker 2: flagging US with Adobe after effects.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Yeah. That's the thing too, It could be fake. Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah, we're just like, what do you what's the game here?
- 9:42Speaker 2: It's happening.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You know. This article that was in the New York Times,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it revealed the existence of a program called Advanced Aerospace or.
- 9:51Speaker 2: That Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification program. There it is or
- 9:56Speaker 2: a tip if you're nasty.
- 9:59Speaker 1: This program was tasked with investigating reports of UFOs. It
- 10:03Speaker 1: was run by military intelligence official Luis Elizondo from the
- 10:07Speaker 1: fifth floor of the Pentagon's Sea Ring, So that too.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Normally they're like, just sounds scary. It sounds scary. But
- 10:14Speaker 1: also normally they're like, no, I've never where would that
- 10:17Speaker 1: department even be? Yeah, yeah no, Or this fucking secret
- 10:20Speaker 1: X files program. They're like, it's right there. Yeah, Like
- 10:23Speaker 1: there's his office.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, he needs many muffins with the rest
- 10:26Speaker 2: of the guys. You know, the dude that's like tapping
- 10:28Speaker 2: your cell phones and the dude that's got all your
- 10:31Speaker 2: nudes on iCloud. You know, they're bumping elbows in the
- 10:34Speaker 2: break room, just like, oh yeah, tough day. I got
- 10:36Speaker 2: to fucking stop another fappening, Like hell, hell yeah. These
- 10:39Speaker 2: grays are up mind dick about this hybrid initiative. I'm like,
- 10:43Speaker 2: we're trying to kidnap more child sexually for you guys. Okay,
- 10:46Speaker 2: but I mean, Hollywood's got the market dried up. It's
- 10:49Speaker 2: an issue of scarcity, all right, give me time.
- 10:52Speaker 1: The Pentagon never acknowledged that this was a thing until
- 10:57Speaker 1: The New York Times reached out to him. And even
- 11:01Speaker 1: then the Pentagon said that this program was shut down
- 11:05Speaker 1: in twenty twelve. Yeah, so even then they're acknowledging that, yes,
- 11:08Speaker 1: there was a program where we pumped millions of dollars
- 11:11Speaker 1: into investigating UFOs.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It's kind of it's kind of like a bad relationship
- 11:15Speaker 2: where it's like it seems like they'll only tell the
- 11:17Speaker 2: truth if they know they'll get caught lying.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it seems exactly like what that is. And
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'm I just I'm curious what it is right now
- 11:28Speaker 1: that's making it. Yeah, that's okay to start telling us
- 11:31Speaker 1: about UFO.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Is it is? It? Is it a thing of like,
- 11:35Speaker 2: you know, we have the I gotta figure there's a
- 11:37Speaker 2: few fucking bombshells that they're like, all right, well, we're
- 11:40Speaker 2: trying to get this tax bill through, so we gotta, yeah,
- 11:43Speaker 2: we gotta. We got a couple of smoke screens up
- 11:45Speaker 2: our sleeves because, yeah, think of all the things Trump
- 11:47Speaker 2: will be able to get away with if fucking aliens land. Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 2: it's gonna be news for everyone. Will be like six months,
- 11:54Speaker 2: did you hear about the inheritance tack? And it was like,
- 11:56Speaker 2: did you hear about the fucking beams that rape cow
- 12:00Speaker 2: in the night. Come on, man, bigger fish to fry.
- 12:03Speaker 2: My colon has been cored out. That's the thing that happens.
- 12:08Speaker 1: We'll talk about. Oh yeah, actually I don't even know
- 12:10Speaker 1: how you do that. I mean I can guess, but god,
- 12:14Speaker 1: that's on the next episode where we meet the Grays.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But we'll get to that.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Uh it, where's Tyler Perry fucking st ever meet the Grace.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So most of the money for this program went to
- 12:27Speaker 1: an aerospace research company run by a man named Robert
- 12:31Speaker 1: Bigelow who is currently building expandable aircraft for humans to
- 12:36Speaker 1: use to travel space.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And uh, you know what. You know what they did
- 12:39Speaker 2: with the man. They use their time travel technology to
- 12:42Speaker 2: go back generations and make sure he had a stupid
- 12:44Speaker 2: name so no one would take him seriously. Well, the
- 12:46Speaker 2: thing about Robe developed a as soon as they saw
- 12:49Speaker 2: that he was putting the pieces together, they developed a
- 12:51Speaker 2: Rob Schneider series just to undermine his credibility.
- 12:55Speaker 1: The thing about Robert Bigelow I used to do and
- 12:58Speaker 1: I still do it sometimes. I have this whole bit
- 13:00Speaker 1: about space travel in the future of space exploration, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: I bring up Robert Bigelow And the thing about Robert Bigelow,
- 13:09Speaker 1: we're trusting all of this money and like we're pumping
- 13:13Speaker 1: all this money to him to be the person to
- 13:16Speaker 1: basically get humans to space in like a travel way
- 13:20Speaker 1: or just like you and I at some point in
- 13:22Speaker 1: the sand, and we're trusting him to build all the
- 13:27Speaker 1: aircraft to do that. Connor, do you know what he
- 13:30Speaker 1: did in his previous life. He was the CEO and
- 13:34Speaker 1: founder of the budget suitees motel chain. So the guy
- 13:39Speaker 1: who runs a franchise with a synonym for cheap in
- 13:43Speaker 1: the name. Now we're trusting him as our last line
- 13:46Speaker 1: of defense between fantastic.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Space death to comfortably smoke crack and fuck prostitutes in
- 13:55Speaker 2: a zero gravity environment. And I think I'm qualified.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It blows. And the ship he's working on it's a
- 14:02Speaker 1: fucking balloon, Like it is a balloon that goes to space.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And Russia's working on one too, And Russia's selling point
- 14:11Speaker 1: with Airs is like we'll have Wi Fi and it's like,
- 14:14Speaker 1: you know who else has Wi Fi? Every fucking shitty
- 14:16Speaker 1: motel on Earth. I don't need to go to space
- 14:19Speaker 1: for that. Yeah, And he can't drink on either of them.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That's so funny that it's gonna come down to like
- 14:24Speaker 2: those roadside free away science. She's like, well, Bigelo's got
- 14:27Speaker 2: HBO and frankly I was I'm hoping to catch a
- 14:30Speaker 2: Deadwood rerun. So taking his space ball and why don't
- 14:33Speaker 2: we just do the goddamn space elevator thing they've been
- 14:35Speaker 2: talking about forever. That seems to make the most sense
- 14:37Speaker 2: to me, But again, who knows.
- 14:40Speaker 1: What is the space elevator.
- 14:41Speaker 2: They just make a big pole and they fucking lift
- 14:43Speaker 2: ship up into space with it. They just make like
- 14:45Speaker 2: a you know whatever, a five mile five mile tower,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and just like, I'm just like, you know, you got
- 14:50Speaker 2: five miles worth of shit line around somewhere.
- 14:52Speaker 1: That seems easy. Just piece it together.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So on sixty minutes back in May, Robert Bigelow's that
- 15:00Speaker 1: he is absolutely convinced that aliens exist and that UFOs
- 15:06Speaker 1: have visited the Earth.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I mean, have you seen some of those people at
- 15:08Speaker 2: those budget motels. I mean, they don't seem like they're
- 15:11Speaker 2: from the same biological track.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It could be all he's talking about. Yeah, I saw
- 15:16Speaker 1: Sam Shane one night.
- 15:17Speaker 2: You'll believe I saw something by the vending Machine that
- 15:20Speaker 2: that no God would allow to exist not on this planet.
- 15:24Speaker 1: The program was the brainchild though and mostly most staunchly
- 15:30Speaker 1: supported by former Nevada Democrat Senator Harry Reid.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Good old Harry Reid.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And that's kind of a respectable name. Yeah, I mean
- 15:38Speaker 1: we don't. We've never I've never heard anyone write off
- 15:41Speaker 1: Harry Reid as a crazy politician.
- 15:44Speaker 2: So yeah, he's just you know, you kind of you're
- 15:45Speaker 2: you're running the mill, you know, the neo liberal, practical guy.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a quote from him. I'm not embarrassed
- 15:53Speaker 1: or ashamed or sorry. I got this thing going. I
- 15:57Speaker 1: think it's one of the good things I did in
- 15:59Speaker 1: my congrestational service, of which there are very few, very few.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I've done something that no one has done before, which
- 16:07Speaker 1: I think he means he forgot to add without being
- 16:11Speaker 1: assassinated at the end of that. Yeah, Yeah, I think
- 16:15Speaker 1: JFK maybe did this too. Yeah, there's a part in
- 16:18Speaker 1: that documentary where they addressed that. Oh yes, and Clinton,
- 16:21Speaker 1: and it's creepy as shit they did. Clint did the
- 16:24Speaker 1: same thing.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I read. I read this a great book about him
- 16:25Speaker 2: where he's like, as soon as he took off, as
- 16:27Speaker 2: he was like, tell me who killed JFK. And then
- 16:29Speaker 2: they're like, we can't, and he's like, okay, then I'm
- 16:33Speaker 2: really trying to let gay people in the military in
- 16:35Speaker 2: a very debating capacity. So I got, I got, I
- 16:37Speaker 2: gotta handle this first.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Uh So, Yeah, like I was saying, the Pentagon, they
- 16:42Speaker 1: eventually acknowledged it when The Times contacted him, and they
- 16:46Speaker 1: said this program ended in twenty twelve. Meanwhile, Elizondo, the
- 16:50Speaker 1: guy that was running it, says it carried on until
- 16:53Speaker 1: this past October, or he said his duties carried on
- 16:56Speaker 1: until this past past October, when he finally resigned to
- 17:00Speaker 1: his objections over the secrecy of the program. In other words,
- 17:04Speaker 1: he's gonna commit suicide soon.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't think government programs really end. I mean,
- 17:09Speaker 2: that's just not really how the government were. I I
- 17:11Speaker 2: did a show on a military base over the holidays,
- 17:14Speaker 2: and I was talking to some of the people on base.
- 17:17Speaker 2: It was insane Nicholas Island, and they're just like, yeah, sometimes,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I mean, you know, the comedy show is good because
- 17:22Speaker 2: like they give us an amount of money and we
- 17:24Speaker 2: have to spend all of it or else we can't
- 17:26Speaker 2: keep asking for more money, so we gotta find shit
- 17:28Speaker 2: to spend it on. So thank you guys for coming out.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And I was just like, yeah, this was just kind
- 17:33Speaker 2: of excuse to blow money. This was a terrible show.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I performed for eight people in a diner that serves
- 17:38Speaker 2: three things, you know, So I'm just like, a fuck, okay,
- 17:40Speaker 2: we got it. We really want to ask for a
- 17:42Speaker 2: quarterly increase. How many foodsball tables can we fit?
- 17:47Speaker 1: He said. The program continued after twenty twelve, but they
- 17:51Speaker 1: just hid the funding. So he was still working out
- 17:54Speaker 1: of the same office and still investigating all these claims.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It just wasn't an official thing. And he's as someone
- 18:00Speaker 1: did succeed him in that role after he left, so
- 18:03Speaker 1: the program's still happening, just not.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and some only that they're not going to just
- 18:06Speaker 2: shut it down, you know.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that's always my argument with MK Ultra. We wouldn't
- 18:10Speaker 1: have done that shit for thirty some years if there
- 18:13Speaker 1: wasn't some product.
- 18:14Speaker 2: If we didn't get onto something, you know. And I
- 18:16Speaker 2: also just don't think like the way it goes. You know,
- 18:18Speaker 2: how good you are at bullshitting, you know, at any
- 18:20Speaker 2: kind of official job you've had where you're like, yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 2: well my duties here. I mean I mean, if I
- 18:25Speaker 2: hadn't caught that zero in the spreadsheet, we would have
- 18:27Speaker 2: lost almost seventeen dollars. So I mean, you know, like, yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 2: you find a way to make yourself seem relevant, whether
- 18:32Speaker 2: or not there's actually any results, you know, yeah, being
- 18:35Speaker 2: bandied about, and you know, if this guy's believe it
- 18:37Speaker 2: sounds like they were. Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: According to Harry Reid, he became interested in the topic
- 18:42Speaker 1: of aliens and UFOs in two thousand and seven not
- 18:45Speaker 1: only after talking to Robert Bigelow, but also after talking
- 18:48Speaker 1: to goddamn John Glenn. The John Glenn. He's been to space.
- 18:52Speaker 1: So when someone who's been to space has something to
- 18:55Speaker 1: say about aliens, I want to fucking listen. Yeah, And
- 18:58Speaker 1: John Glenn told him that the federal government should be
- 19:01Speaker 1: investigating UFOs more seriously and should be talking to pilots
- 19:05Speaker 1: who've encountered strange aircraft. So then Reid met up with
- 19:09Speaker 1: Senators Ted Stevens and Daniel in Away, who were also
- 19:13Speaker 1: involved in the project. During one meeting, Reid said Stevens
- 19:17Speaker 1: were counted being tailed by a strange aircraft with no
- 19:20Speaker 1: known origin for miles once while flying. But he's also
- 19:24Speaker 1: from Alaska, so that could have been just Russia following
- 19:27Speaker 1: him around.
- 19:28Speaker 2: If that's what I means, I don't MiG jets, don't
- 19:30Speaker 2: make ninety degree turns, you know, Yeah, it's all that
- 19:33Speaker 2: just median And you talk to these people and they
- 19:35Speaker 2: know what they're fucking talking about. They know what kind
- 19:37Speaker 2: of like flight patterns are attainable by, you know, the
- 19:41Speaker 2: technology that they'd be using for that stuff. Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 1: John Gorley from Portugal de Man actually has a crazy
- 19:48Speaker 1: kind of UFO sort of story that he told me
- 19:51Speaker 1: appropriately when we were in Roswell, New Mexico. I believe
- 19:55Speaker 1: walking to a buffalo wild wings but it's I don't
- 20:00Speaker 1: remember the exact story, but it actually matches up with
- 20:03Speaker 1: another story that was reported kind of in the same
- 20:07Speaker 1: area he was in later, and it involves like lights,
- 20:12Speaker 1: the trail people. It's crazy. But Alaska is kind of
- 20:15Speaker 1: a like you hear a lot of UFO stuff.
- 20:18Speaker 2: If I was an alien, I would probably go poking
- 20:20Speaker 2: around in Alaska. And yeah, because of a couple things,
- 20:24Speaker 2: sparse population. You know, no one's if I got to
- 20:27Speaker 2: go cut out a deer's asshole to make a superman,
- 20:29Speaker 2: I don't think anyone's going to miss it. People just
- 20:31Speaker 2: think it's Sarah Paley a helicopter with a rocket launcher.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Number two. There's always weird shit going on in this
- 20:37Speaker 2: guy with the Aurora Borealis. It is right next to Russia.
- 20:39Speaker 2: So I'd be like, Okay, I got a pretty good
- 20:41Speaker 2: cover story. I can operate in a low profile. You know.
- 20:44Speaker 2: It's like if you're going to introduce crack, You're like, well, yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 2: I'll go to this neighborhood with no security cameras or
- 20:48Speaker 2: you know, people who have anyone that cares if they die.
- 20:50Speaker 2: You know, it's just like kind of a good play,
- 20:52Speaker 2: Like I'll go up to the attic of Earth and
- 20:54Speaker 2: then go start tooling around there you.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Go where the desired results take you.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 1: So from two eight to twenty eleven, the government pump
- 21:01Speaker 1: twenty two million dollars into this program. That's a lot
- 21:05Speaker 1: of money just to be following up on reports of
- 21:08Speaker 1: UFOs and at one point, this part's weird. At one
- 21:12Speaker 1: point as part of the project Robert Bigelow's company. This
- 21:15Speaker 1: is a quote from the New York Times article modified
- 21:18Speaker 1: buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys
- 21:22Speaker 1: and other materials. Mister Elizondo and program contractors said had
- 21:27Speaker 1: been removed from unidentified aerial phenomena. Why did they have
- 21:31Speaker 1: to modify the buildings? Yeah, so he was.
- 21:35Speaker 2: This was a little confusing to me. So it's he's
- 21:38Speaker 2: upgrading him to like, is this some shit so Superman
- 21:41Speaker 2: can't see and with his X ray vision? Is he
- 21:43Speaker 2: hiding his weird secret space metals?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah? I wonder if it's like, so aliens don't figure
- 21:49Speaker 1: out where these things are? I don't know. Yeah, that's
- 21:53Speaker 1: they They don't explain what modified the buildings mean, and
- 21:56Speaker 1: I want to know that.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, it's also like if they can fucking if
- 22:00Speaker 2: they can fly over Alaska at ninety degree angles and
- 22:02Speaker 2: to cut out cow assholes, I'm pretty sure they can
- 22:04Speaker 2: pick up a Wi Fi signal and figure out that
- 22:07Speaker 2: you've announced that you're doing this.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And the thing that I feel like they wouldn't say
- 22:11Speaker 1: it that way if it was just, oh, we just
- 22:12Speaker 1: added some extra security. Well, yeah, it's a government building.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Of course their security. We're all going to assume they
- 22:16Speaker 1: did that. Yeah, but what does modify the buildings mean?
- 22:20Speaker 1: God damn it. In two thousand and nine, Reid was
- 22:23Speaker 1: so encouraged by what they'd found, he wrote a letter
- 22:26Speaker 1: to then Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn the third, asking
- 22:30Speaker 1: that the program receive heightened security and protection. This is
- 22:34Speaker 1: a quote from the letter. Much progress has been made
- 22:37Speaker 1: with the identification of several highly sense of sensitive, unconventional
- 22:41Speaker 1: aerospace related findings. And this, I love is a quote
- 22:47Speaker 1: from a Pentagon briefing summary of the program.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Quote.
- 22:51Speaker 1: What was considered science fiction is now science fact. And
- 22:55Speaker 1: it also adds the US is incapable of defending itself
- 22:59Speaker 1: against some of the technology is discovered.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Fuck, you saw a Battle for Los Angeles with I
- 23:04Speaker 2: sure did. What's as fuck? That's not it's not Owen Wilson.
- 23:07Speaker 2: What's that guy's name?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Uh Aaron Eckhart.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, he looks exact he was Harvey Dunn. He
- 23:13Speaker 2: looks exactly like Chuck from Dead Rising too, if anyone
- 23:15Speaker 2: played that game. Uh yeah, I do Uh. I do
- 23:19Speaker 2: love knowing that they're uh that, you know, the Pentagons
- 23:22Speaker 2: debriefing people and you know, saying like, yeah, we're pretty
- 23:25Speaker 2: much fucked if they decide. I mean, there's a great
- 23:27Speaker 2: line in that documentary out Acknowledge where they're like, the
- 23:30Speaker 2: very fact that we are breathing the free air of
- 23:32Speaker 2: Earth means that these people are not, you know, immediately malevolent,
- 23:35Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That's good to know.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I guess that makes sense.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Uh.
- 23:41Speaker 2: And you also feel like if you're smart enough, if
- 23:44Speaker 2: you have it, if you if you can you know,
- 23:46Speaker 2: get the infinite energy that's within a cup of coffee,
- 23:48Speaker 2: that can boil all the waters of all the oceans
- 23:51Speaker 2: of Earth, that's like I gotta figure. At that point,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you're like, yeah, I don't care what these pink fucking
- 23:55Speaker 2: idiots that just you know, like to fuck each other
- 23:58Speaker 2: and get in fights are doing that. I don't care, Like,
- 24:00Speaker 2: you know, they can't mess with our shit, you know,
- 24:04Speaker 2: So you hope that they're just like, yeah, okay, it's
- 24:06Speaker 2: kind of cute. It's kind of like an ant farm.
- 24:07Speaker 2: We're just checking them out. Well, that's one theory.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Are you familiar with the zoo theory no, which is
- 24:13Speaker 1: a theory that the reason we haven't been visited by
- 24:16Speaker 1: aliens in a really pronounced, obvious way is because aliens
- 24:20Speaker 1: view us as basically a zoo an experiment that well,
- 24:24Speaker 1: not just an experiment, but just a species that hasn't
- 24:26Speaker 1: evolved enough to even be able to comprehend what aliens
- 24:29Speaker 1: are fucking with.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Oh that's the prime directive in Star Trek. They don't
- 24:32Speaker 2: make contact with any pre warp civilizations, you know, which
- 24:35Speaker 2: I feel like is like, yeah, that's I mean, it's
- 24:37Speaker 2: weird that in the you know, the sixties, Gene Roddenberry
- 24:39Speaker 2: thought of that, because that's a pretty good way to
- 24:41Speaker 2: handle it. You know, I think we had a function
- 24:43Speaker 2: al Kouba drive and we could tour the Solar System
- 24:46Speaker 2: and the galaxy and those beyond it in a fairly quick,
- 24:50Speaker 2: you know, efficient way. It's like, yeah, I probably wouldn't
- 24:52Speaker 2: want to go monkeying around with people that are you know,
- 24:55Speaker 2: not just in the sticks and Stones age, but the
- 24:57Speaker 2: fucking you know, Twitter and goddamn you know room by
- 25:00Speaker 2: age that we're in the room by age. That's how
- 25:03Speaker 2: that's what I'm gonna discover, Room by age.
- 25:05Speaker 1: That's our current level technology right now.
- 25:08Speaker 2: It is funny. I mean, this is like a like
- 25:10Speaker 2: a like a fucking pulp you know, like a mind
- 25:13Speaker 2: fucks shitty thriller's short story that you'd see a zillion
- 25:16Speaker 2: times over. But it's like, yeah, we really could just
- 25:18Speaker 2: be like a reality show for aliens where they're just like, oh,
- 25:21Speaker 2: the new season with the President is fucking great. You
- 25:23Speaker 2: guys gotta watch. Yeah, anyway, I have to go, uh yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 2: well I actually already saw it because my mind is,
- 25:28Speaker 2: you know, inexorably linked to all of my fellow all
- 25:31Speaker 2: of my fellow species.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Another thing from Elizondo's resignation letter. He said the government
- 25:36Speaker 1: should be paying more attention to quote the many accounts
- 25:39Speaker 1: from the Navy and other services of unusual aerial systems
- 25:43Speaker 1: interfering with military weapon platforms and displaying beyond next generation capabilities.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Man, I've gotten into hour long fights about which Tabasco
- 25:52Speaker 2: flavor is the best. I can't fuck with a hive mind, man,
- 25:54Speaker 2: we just can't.
- 25:56Speaker 1: The thing about have you looked into what's happened with
- 26:00Speaker 1: the navies. I think it's the seventh fleet in the
- 26:03Speaker 1: South China Sea, and how over the past like year
- 26:08Speaker 1: they've had eight or nine really huge profile crashes and accidents,
- 26:13Speaker 1: which is rare because this is the fleet that protects
- 26:16Speaker 1: probably the most sensitive region for US in terms of
- 26:19Speaker 1: strategic interests, and they're no one's coming right out and
- 26:24Speaker 1: saying it, but it's possible that our systems are being hacked,
- 26:29Speaker 1: like our GPS systems and shit by China, Russia, whoever,
- 26:33Speaker 1: or maybe it's aliens. Maybe it's aliens, Maybe it is
- 26:37Speaker 1: the aliens. But they still haven't really I mean they say, oh,
- 26:40Speaker 1: it's just fatigue and a lack of training, and it's like, really,
- 26:43Speaker 1: you're the like the like you know.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Like the Navy breaks people into like functioning war machines
- 26:48Speaker 2: all they all do. It's like, yeah, this is like
- 26:50Speaker 2: you know, you're you're you're good enough for this. I
- 26:52Speaker 2: don't think you're just like, you know, sleepy and not
- 26:55Speaker 2: used to dealing with the you know, the there's at
- 26:58Speaker 2: one point or another been a fuck hotbed like that
- 27:02Speaker 2: or many of them. And it's like, you guys, aren't
- 27:03Speaker 2: that fucking and I'll give you more credit than that.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. Alessando and Reid are both adamant that the
- 27:09Speaker 1: objects they've found do not originate from any country. This
- 27:14Speaker 1: is a quote from Alessando. That fact is not something
- 27:17Speaker 1: any government or institution should classify in order to keep
- 27:21Speaker 1: it secret from people. Reid says, if anyone says they
- 27:24Speaker 1: have the answers, now, they're fooling themselves. We do not know, Nickes.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It's almost like I feel like you know, because they
- 27:34Speaker 2: talk in that tagramentarybody are like, Yeah, the President's just
- 27:36Speaker 2: to figure out this shit goes beyond him. He's a
- 27:38Speaker 2: temporary employee and he doesn't need to know. I feel
- 27:40Speaker 2: like sometimes just a dude with a crew cut and
- 27:43Speaker 2: a dark suit goes up to these people and tells
- 27:45Speaker 2: him just enough to scare the shit out of him.
- 27:48Speaker 2: He's just like, so, you want to get back to
- 27:50Speaker 2: the economy. Do you want to get back to healthcare?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Does that sound a little easier. I know it's hard
- 27:54Speaker 2: to get the people in your district to understand that
- 27:56Speaker 2: you've got to make compromises with Paul Ryan, but I
- 27:58Speaker 2: think that might be a little bit fucking easier than
- 28:00Speaker 2: telling them that their gods are lies and we're under
- 28:03Speaker 2: threat from a being that we couldn't possibly begin to understand.
- 28:06Speaker 1: All right, and also, watch your colon.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Yeah we're going up against going up against Godzilla with
- 28:11Speaker 2: sharp rocks. Okay, so you want to go ahead and
- 28:13Speaker 2: start giving you a little speech about jobs.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So yeah, let's talk about We keep referencing a documentary
- 28:20Speaker 1: it's called Unacknowledged and it's on Netflix now. It was actually,
- 28:25Speaker 1: I believe the best selling documentary on iTunes in twenty seventeen.
- 28:29Speaker 1: It's in terms of alien documentaries, it's pretty fucking comprehensive. Yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: and pretty well done.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Man, Man that guy. The fucking selection of scary quotes
- 28:39Speaker 2: they play in between the kind of acts is.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I collected some of them.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You got some good ones.
- 28:46Speaker 1: The phenomena of UFOs does exist, and it must be
- 28:49Speaker 1: treated seriously. That was Mikhail Gorbachev, who's dick. I can
- 28:54Speaker 1: assure you that flying saucers, given that they exist, are
- 28:57Speaker 1: not constructed by any power on earth. That was Harry Truman,
- 29:01Speaker 1: a guy who fucking grew up in a dirt road town,
- 29:04Speaker 1: was a country lawyer. Phil As vackwards into being president.
- 29:07Speaker 2: He's just like, yeah, these space of a jigs sure
- 29:10Speaker 2: are scary, not as scary as Asians. I can't trust them.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Also, that's bottom the Russians. I feel that the Air
- 29:17Speaker 1: Force has not been giving out all the available information
- 29:20Speaker 1: on these unidentified flying objects. You cannot disregard so many
- 29:25Speaker 1: unimpeachable sources. That is former Speaker of the House John McCormick.
- 29:29Speaker 2: He's a pedophile. What does he know? They're all pedophile?
- 29:31Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, Pizzagate hashtag pizzagate. Quote. We have indeed
- 29:36Speaker 1: been contacted, perhaps even visited by extraterrestrial beings, and the
- 29:40Speaker 1: US government, in collusion with the other national powers of
- 29:44Speaker 1: the Earth, is determined to keep this information from the
- 29:47Speaker 1: general public. That's Victor Marchetti, former Special Assistant to the
- 29:52Speaker 1: Executive Director of the CIA. And last one, I'm convinced
- 29:55Speaker 1: UFOs exists because I've seen one that's Jimmy Carter.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You were just hopped up on moonshine work in your
- 30:02Speaker 2: peanut farm.
- 30:03Speaker 1: There's but that's not I mean they they sprinkle these
- 30:06Speaker 1: quotes all throughout and they're all from people who are like,
- 30:09Speaker 1: You're like, oh, yeah, they.
- 30:10Speaker 2: That's a guy. That's a guy.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he's recognized that name.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah. You'll also reckoniz not a lot of like not
- 30:16Speaker 2: of Mark Hoppis blink on you know, or Tom DeLong
- 30:20Speaker 2: I forget which one is that he's the UFO one.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll also recognize the voice in the documentary as
- 30:25Speaker 1: that of gian Carlo Esposito, better known as Gus fring.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I didn't realize that until I write into the notes
- 30:31Speaker 2: afterwards that it's pretty.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Cool, Diva los pos ermanos. Uh it's all. I love
- 30:37Speaker 1: the opening because I can only stomach What a Wonderful
- 30:40Speaker 1: World by Louis Armstrong if it's over scenes of utter
- 30:43Speaker 1: devastation and destruction.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna eat either the Ramones version or a
- 30:46Speaker 2: lot of people running away from Hiroshimo with their skin
- 30:49Speaker 2: melting off. That's the only way I can not the
- 30:52Speaker 2: Ramotes version of the Joy Ramote solo version. Don't tweet me.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I know the main person behind this documentary and the
- 30:59Speaker 1: one they talk to them throughout his guy named Stephen Greer,
- 31:02Speaker 1: m D. Who is the founder of the Disclosure Project,
- 31:05Speaker 1: which is a thing that was founded in two thousand
- 31:07Speaker 1: and one basically to disseminate information about aliens and UFOs.
- 31:13Speaker 1: And he says, right up top, I always said, if
- 31:16Speaker 1: the government won't do this, I'll do it. And the
- 31:18Speaker 1: thing about.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Kind of like a kind of like a wiki leaks
- 31:21Speaker 2: for UFO shit.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Yeah. And the thing about Stephen Greer, he doesn't seem
- 31:25Speaker 1: at all weird or strange or like your typical conspiracy
- 31:31Speaker 1: theory type.
- 31:32Speaker 2: He a lot of these people in this documentary just
- 31:35Speaker 2: look really bummed out that they have to do this.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just like I know that I have to
- 31:42Speaker 2: wake up every day with people call me a kook
- 31:44Speaker 2: and a weirdo, you know, and it's just like this
- 31:47Speaker 2: is just like it reminds me of a calculus teacher,
- 31:49Speaker 2: just like a buff dude with gray hair who's just like, Oh,
- 31:52Speaker 2: I did everything right, I got all the right degrees.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I work so hard, and I unfortunately it is within
- 31:59Speaker 2: my moral personal imperative that I need to be the
- 32:02Speaker 2: one who disseonates this information and champions this cause. Boy, howdy,
- 32:06Speaker 2: what I like to just you know, do learn about
- 32:09Speaker 2: algae at a fucking desk in my you know, tenured
- 32:12Speaker 2: university position. But uh here I am hell on Netflix.
- 32:16Speaker 1: This guy probably wishes he was president. Oh, he didn't
- 32:18Speaker 1: have to worry about this shit for for sure. One
- 32:21Speaker 1: of the first things he brings up is the guy
- 32:25Speaker 1: Hotel memo or hottle memo g U I H O
- 32:28Speaker 1: T T e O. And this is uh it's a
- 32:32Speaker 1: memo that's mentioned in the documentary. You can find it
- 32:34Speaker 1: on my favorite favorite website that always comes up on
- 32:38Speaker 1: this podcast, Vault dot FBI dot gov. Hell yeah, where
- 32:42Speaker 1: you can find all your recently declassified documents.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Whoever scanning these things I don't don't do a better job.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I love the fucking scanning grit.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I like the challenge of having to try and
- 32:53Speaker 1: read these and knowing it's all in English and I
- 32:55Speaker 1: still might not get through it all.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:57Speaker 1: But this is the guy Hoddle, which is from the
- 33:02Speaker 1: Roswell incident basically, and this is probably the most famous
- 33:06Speaker 1: memo in UFO research history. This is what it reads
- 33:12Speaker 1: pretty short. An investigator for the Air Force stated that
- 33:15Speaker 1: three so called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico.
- 33:19Speaker 1: They were described as being circular in shape, with raised
- 33:22Speaker 1: centers approximately fifty feet in diameter. Each one was occupied
- 33:26Speaker 1: by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall,
- 33:31Speaker 1: dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each
- 33:35Speaker 1: body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout
- 33:38Speaker 1: suits used by speed flyers and test pilots. So that's
- 33:43Speaker 1: an official government memo that is on an official website.
- 33:48Speaker 1: And it's argued that this is kind of where it
- 33:51Speaker 1: all starts. Yeah, where, because I mean, if you go
- 33:55Speaker 1: in search, you'll find news reports of people saying, oh,
- 33:58Speaker 1: we found this flying saucer in the desert. A body,
- 34:00Speaker 1: isn't it and then a couple days later they're like, no, no, no, no, no,
- 34:03Speaker 1: no no no, that was a weather believe the weather
- 34:05Speaker 1: balloon calmed down.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Those were starving children, but it playing dress.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Up and it I mean, that's kind of I think
- 34:13Speaker 1: where this all kicks off, and it's the sort of
- 34:16Speaker 1: if you believe that happened or not kind of dictates everything.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Like if you don't believe Roswell happened, you're probably not
- 34:23Speaker 1: gonna believe any of the alien shit.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well it's kind of Graundzier for all of it,
- 34:28Speaker 2: and it's like you kind of wonder, like, you know,
- 34:30Speaker 2: if the stuff Israel the guy who's like job is
- 34:32Speaker 2: to justify all this shit creatively, because I remember them
- 34:35Speaker 2: talking about like it was this metallic structure that almost
- 34:37Speaker 2: was like wood and you'd put a nick in it
- 34:39Speaker 2: with your fingernail and it would like heal and regenerate
- 34:41Speaker 2: and had all these strange ruins on it. And this
- 34:43Speaker 2: guy was like, well that was that was balsa and
- 34:46Speaker 2: those ruins. That was a piece of a decorative scotch
- 34:49Speaker 2: tape that a children would use. And I just I
- 34:51Speaker 2: remember reading and hearing that and I was just like, Okay,
- 34:54Speaker 2: good on you man, I mean, okay, that's sure.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, That's the thing. It always bothers me the
- 35:00Speaker 1: that as soon as something's debunked, people are just like,
- 35:03Speaker 1: that's it, it's debunked, but no one ever looks into
- 35:05Speaker 1: the person debunking it to see like maybe what their
- 35:09Speaker 1: motivations are or maybe if their research is flawed. Also, yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 1: and you can. You can find a lot of interest and.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Then you just like debunked, debunked, Google debunked, debunk debunked, you.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Know, exactly. So at this point in the documentary, they
- 35:21Speaker 1: go into a bunch of detail about the Roswell incident
- 35:24Speaker 1: and what was found there. They interview a guy named
- 35:26Speaker 1: Captain Bill Uhouse. I'm sure if you go out on
- 35:29Speaker 1: the YouTube's and just search this guy's name, you will
- 35:32Speaker 1: find interviews of him literally describing loading a UFO onto
- 35:36Speaker 1: a flatbed truck and hal.
- 35:40Speaker 2: This advanced technology away on a flatbread nineteen fifties truck
- 35:44Speaker 2: that like uses ten gallons of deesel to start.
- 35:49Speaker 1: And there's a few other like retired military types who
- 35:52Speaker 1: describe the actual aliens, bodies and things, And that to
- 35:55Speaker 1: me is the flip side of that. Oh well, that
- 35:59Speaker 1: that argument people make where they're like, oh, okay, well
- 36:01Speaker 1: all these people would have to keep a secret for
- 36:03Speaker 1: all of these years, and it's like sure, but also
- 36:07Speaker 1: by what other people say, it's like I have to
- 36:10Speaker 1: write off all these people is crazy, Like every single
- 36:13Speaker 1: person in this documentary is just nuts, Like all these
- 36:16Speaker 1: retired military people are just insane and making shit up. Bill,
- 36:20Speaker 1: YOUU house someone's grandfather who served admirably in the military
- 36:24Speaker 1: for years and years and years. I'm supposed to look
- 36:27Speaker 1: their grandkids in the eye and go, your granddad's fucking lion,
- 36:30Speaker 1: yeacause I know there's no aliens.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's ridiculous. Yeah.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 2: It is a thing of just like, how can you
- 36:38Speaker 2: be a competent enough person to get to this level?
- 36:40Speaker 2: It's not easy to be a fucking aeronautic investigator in
- 36:44Speaker 2: the black passion fucking programs of the CIA. You know,
- 36:47Speaker 2: you've got to be You've gotta, i imagine, be pretty sharp,
- 36:50Speaker 2: you know, and then you get all the way up
- 36:51Speaker 2: there and then it all just breaks you. I Mean, sure,
- 36:54Speaker 2: the human mind's fragile and everything, but it's just like
- 36:56Speaker 2: that wasn't enough of a test of your own personal
- 36:59Speaker 2: metal to say like, Okay, maybe this guy's onto something.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's it's fucking crazy. So the first act
- 37:05Speaker 1: of the documentary is basically and they actually separated into
- 37:09Speaker 1: first act and second act. The first act is basically
- 37:11Speaker 1: just a compilation of interviews from all of these seemingly
- 37:16Speaker 1: really credible military and government sources. There's a bunch of
- 37:21Speaker 1: accounts of different encounters with UFOs. There's one navy guy
- 37:25Speaker 1: who describes how they would go out on this ship
- 37:29Speaker 1: and over the loudspeaker they would say, this is a drill,
- 37:32Speaker 1: and all the lights would go down and they were
- 37:33Speaker 1: supposed to go on deck and just kind of scan
- 37:35Speaker 1: the skies. And then he goes in one time the
- 37:39Speaker 1: lights went down and we didn't hear this is a drill,
- 37:42Speaker 1: and there was a fucking UFO in the sky. And
- 37:45Speaker 1: it's like, okay, so that guy's crazy too. All of
- 37:47Speaker 1: these people are just like, maybe that's the thing. People
- 37:51Speaker 1: are like, oh, so all of these people have to
- 37:53Speaker 1: keep would be able to keep the secret this guy couldn't, Like, Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 1: this guy's not keep it secret.
- 37:59Speaker 2: It's I think it's easier to write people off than
- 38:02Speaker 2: it is to keep them quiet. Oh yeah, that's a
- 38:05Speaker 2: lot of that's a lot of fucking. You know, Mike's
- 38:07Speaker 2: from breaking bag showing up with a black bag and
- 38:10Speaker 2: you know, killing your power lines with mylar balloons and
- 38:13Speaker 2: you know, fucking threatening your family.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Well, one of the people that they talk about, uh,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I was gonna bring this up away at the end,
- 38:19Speaker 1: and I don't know why I put it way at
- 38:20Speaker 1: the end, But one of the people they talk about throughout,
- 38:24Speaker 1: or one of the people they interviewed throughout this documentary
- 38:27Speaker 1: is this former military guy named Special Agent Richard Cody.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And as I was watching it, I knew.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Sounds like like a young adult, like the Frankie Muniz thing,
- 38:35Speaker 2: you know.
- 38:36Speaker 1: But he's talking throughout this and I'm like, I recognize
- 38:39Speaker 1: this guy. I've seen him somewhere, and it finally dawned
- 38:42Speaker 1: on me. He's the subject of a documentary called Mirage Men.
- 38:47Speaker 2: What Richard the number one adult Vegas show on the
- 38:50Speaker 2: strip for fifteen years.
- 38:52Speaker 1: It's fucking fantastic. Yeah, you can track it down. Mirage Men.
- 38:56Speaker 1: It's a documentary about Richard Cody. His job was to
- 39:02Speaker 1: whenever someone say, uh got the right angle, say they
- 39:06Speaker 1: were at Roswell and got the right angle of like
- 39:08Speaker 1: a test craft that we maybe were developing as the government.
- 39:13Speaker 1: He would if they went public with that, he would
- 39:16Speaker 1: go find those people and give them additional information that
- 39:20Speaker 1: was all false, just to discredit them.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Oh, it's like when people dump wiki leaks and they're
- 39:25Speaker 2: just like, all right, this is a bunch of you know,
- 39:27Speaker 2: fucked up real shit, and we're gonna add a bunch
- 39:29Speaker 2: of fucked up fake shit and you're not gonna be
- 39:31Speaker 2: able to tell what's what, Like they did with mccron
- 39:33Speaker 2: on the day of the election, you know, when they
- 39:35Speaker 2: done for that shit and then they just yeah, they
- 39:36Speaker 2: did the classic. Remember they just mixed in a bunch
- 39:38Speaker 2: of weird shit to kind of, you know, further their
- 39:40Speaker 2: own personal agenda whatever the leaker was.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's like that was his sole job. Is
- 39:45Speaker 1: if you had if you stumbled upon actual be it
- 39:49Speaker 1: UFO information or uh, if you maybe test craft, Yeah
- 39:53Speaker 1: I thought you saw UFO, but actually saw something you
- 39:55Speaker 1: shouldn't have seen.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Our seventy one blackbird back in the day.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah, he would come and act as an insider and
- 40:02Speaker 1: be like, hey, you're onto something. I can get you
- 40:04Speaker 1: extra information. And he would give people these completely falsified
- 40:09Speaker 1: documents with all these lies in it. So then once
- 40:12Speaker 1: that person made that public, the government could go, yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 1: look at the now, this is all fucking lies, and
- 40:18Speaker 1: then they don't have to address the first thing the
- 40:20Speaker 1: person brought up. And it's a great documentary. Like at
- 40:23Speaker 1: one point he's just walking around a UFO convention kind
- 40:27Speaker 1: of like creepily lurking in the background. It's like, that's
- 40:31Speaker 1: our government, Like, that's that's what our government's up to.
- 40:33Speaker 2: You guys in the payroll. That guy has health, that
- 40:35Speaker 2: guy's dental.
- 40:36Speaker 1: You know, he has a fucking pension right now, So.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Got a pension for destroying all right, to know that's
- 40:43Speaker 2: a different word, I know that.
- 40:45Speaker 1: So Yeah. The second act of this documentary basically deals
- 40:49Speaker 1: with whether the government could actually keep a secret this
- 40:51Speaker 1: big for this long. And one of the first things
- 40:54Speaker 1: they point out is that the NSA was just kind
- 40:57Speaker 1: of a rumor until Snowden actually provided evidence that it existed.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Well, yeah, there's the no such agency joke.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's like, of course they can keep a
- 41:08Speaker 1: fucking secret if they could keep that from us. Yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 1: And they also point out in the documentary, no one
- 41:16Speaker 1: really knows what the National Reconnaissance Office does Like the
- 41:19Speaker 1: NSA is collecting information domestically, obviously the CIA is doing
- 41:24Speaker 1: that internationally. Who is the National Reconnaissance Office? Who are
- 41:30Speaker 1: they collecting data on?
- 41:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like okay, domestically internationally, what other kind of
- 41:35Speaker 2: ational are there? Uh, interspace, nationally, interstellarly.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And it What they basically argue in this second half
- 41:47Speaker 1: of the documentary is that the reason the government hasn't
- 41:51Speaker 1: told us and the reason you know, the government isn't
- 41:54Speaker 1: as privy to this as we would like to believe,
- 41:58Speaker 1: is that there's basically a second part of the government,
- 42:01Speaker 1: which is I know that sounds like a fucking Trump
- 42:03Speaker 1: argument deep state and all that, but there's basically a
- 42:08Speaker 1: second half of the government that works under a black budget, which.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and this is like you know, confirmable and
- 42:15Speaker 2: you'll see just like you'll see like just leaked lists
- 42:17Speaker 2: of these like creepy titles, you know, yeah, or just
- 42:21Speaker 2: like okay, project Valorn and you're like, god, what the
- 42:24Speaker 2: fuck that sounds? Gnar Leazelle. I went to an art
- 42:28Speaker 2: museum in Phoenix, Arizona, where they had some of the
- 42:31Speaker 2: patches from some like some of these classified like aeronautical
- 42:35Speaker 2: like programs. In one of them, Oh my god, you
- 42:37Speaker 2: can find it. It's fucking creepy. It's just like a
- 42:40Speaker 2: like an outer space scene. And then there's like an
- 42:42Speaker 2: alien and it says a lifetime of silence behind the
- 42:45Speaker 2: green door. And when people talk about it and I've
- 42:48Speaker 2: like I google it sense and they're like, oh yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 2: that's like an inside joke with all the people just
- 42:52Speaker 2: pretending it's cooler than it is.
- 42:53Speaker 1: And it was like, that's exactly what you tell me.
- 42:55Speaker 1: If it wasn't an.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Inside joke, what is this green door? What do you
- 42:57Speaker 2: gonna be silent behind it?
- 42:59Speaker 1: And no one putting it? Like that's stupid? Like how
- 43:02Speaker 1: stupid does the government think? People are? Well?
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like all of this shit is so
- 43:08Speaker 2: spread out on the government is so large. There's bureaucrats
- 43:11Speaker 2: that are just very inconspicuous that of a thousand people
- 43:14Speaker 2: underneath them, and they're the people that run shit. You know, yeah,
- 43:17Speaker 2: well they they how much? How like how time consuming
- 43:21Speaker 2: is it to be? You know, even if you're the president,
- 43:23Speaker 2: you're in the executive branch, it's your you know, you
- 43:25Speaker 2: can crack the whip on all these people. You can
- 43:27Speaker 2: make this executive orders and decide how these programs that
- 43:30Speaker 2: Congress luggage slates are enforced. Like how there's there's an
- 43:33Speaker 2: infinite number of whips to crack. It's a hybrid, it
- 43:35Speaker 2: goes all the way down, and there's there's so many
- 43:37Speaker 2: fucking people underneath it. How do you You can't keep
- 43:39Speaker 2: track of all that? Nobody can?
- 43:41Speaker 1: They They tell a I mean, I guess there's no
- 43:44Speaker 1: way to confirm if this actually happened, but uh, they
- 43:47Speaker 1: tell a story in this documentary about a memo that
- 43:50Speaker 1: John Podesta hashtag pizzagate, uh, sent to Obama when Obama
- 43:55Speaker 1: first took office. And they show the memo and it's
- 43:58Speaker 1: just a list of all the things that happen at
- 44:01Speaker 1: what we know as Area fifty one now, which is actually,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I forget the name, oh, the Dallas Air Force Base.
- 44:09Speaker 1: And it lists all of these weird departments, which one
- 44:13Speaker 1: of them, if you look at the memo in the documentary,
- 44:15Speaker 1: one of them says groom Lake, and groom Lake comes
- 44:19Speaker 1: up when we talk about the Grays. That's groom Lake is.
- 44:23Speaker 2: One of which sounds like a fallout New Vegas side quest,
- 44:25Speaker 2: but yes.
- 44:27Speaker 1: It's one of the labs that is tied to this
- 44:30Speaker 1: secret deal the government is supposed to have made with
- 44:32Speaker 1: the Grays, but that's next episode.
- 44:34Speaker 2: That It's just so funny to think that there's some
- 44:37Speaker 2: dude where they're just like, well, you're the alien diplomat.
- 44:40Speaker 2: You kind of got to negotiate this. They're going to
- 44:42Speaker 2: take the severed assholes one way or another. So I
- 44:45Speaker 2: got to kind of figure out some sort of mutually
- 44:47Speaker 2: beneficial way to leverage this. And what leverage we have
- 44:51Speaker 2: is pretty much nil because again we're still using you know,
- 44:56Speaker 2: nuclear weapons, and these people have a laser beam that
- 44:58Speaker 2: could vaporize the planet seconds or whatever. And it's just
- 45:03Speaker 2: I also feel like with these these civilizations, is like
- 45:05Speaker 2: if you got to a point you're like, would you
- 45:07Speaker 2: even have weapons? Like would you? I don't even think
- 45:09Speaker 2: they'd even be thinking about that, you know, I'm sure,
- 45:12Speaker 2: I'm sure like for them to make a weapon, it'd
- 45:14Speaker 2: be like for us to like, let's release a brand
- 45:17Speaker 2: new pager. It's just like, oh, we don't even do
- 45:19Speaker 2: that anymore. We haven't been thinking about that, and like
- 45:21Speaker 2: we could figure it out, but okay, I guess we
- 45:23Speaker 2: got to kill these people.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so what happens in this story that and it's
- 45:28Speaker 1: the what's his name? William Greer is the Stephen Greer.
- 45:33Speaker 1: He's the one who basically he says that he got
- 45:36Speaker 1: a copy of this memo, and he shows the memo
- 45:38Speaker 1: and he says he took it to Admiral Tom Wilson,
- 45:41Speaker 1: who was at the time the second in command at
- 45:44Speaker 1: the Joint chiefs of Staff, which that's a big fucking
- 45:48Speaker 1: position in the government. Like, you're way the fuck up.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean it's and you read about all
- 45:53Speaker 2: that shit with Kennedy and the Bay of Pigs and
- 45:55Speaker 2: all that stuff, and yeah, there's audio tapes of them
- 45:57Speaker 2: just fucking arguing about what to do about the Cuban
- 45:59Speaker 2: missile crisis in your just.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Like they're they're they're pretty much like if you're.
- 46:02Speaker 2: The president, they'll listen to you, but it's like they're
- 46:05Speaker 2: they're not gonna necessarily do that.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And Admiral Tom Wilson he gets this memo and
- 46:12Speaker 1: he decides to just call Nellis Air Force Base and
- 46:16Speaker 1: ring up one of these departments and just he has
- 46:20Speaker 1: to be briefed on what they do. And he actually
- 46:23Speaker 1: got through and got to talk to someone and he said,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I am Admiral Tom Wilson from the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
- 46:28Speaker 1: I would like to be briefed in on what's happening
- 46:29Speaker 1: in your department. And he was allegedly told, and this
- 46:32Speaker 1: is a quote, we know who you are and you
- 46:35Speaker 1: don't have a need to know. I love that.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that is so fucking scary that.
- 46:42Speaker 1: It's terrifying because that blows all of the Oh well,
- 46:46Speaker 1: so you mean all these people in the government know
- 46:49Speaker 1: and they're just not telling No, most of the government
- 46:52Speaker 1: probably doesn't know.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think. I don't think by my representative,
- 46:56Speaker 2: Norma J. Torres of the Chino Valley, I don't think
- 46:59Speaker 2: that this woman can walk in in her pantsuit and
- 47:02Speaker 2: just be like, what's up with the aliens? They're like,
- 47:05Speaker 2: shut up, Norma, all right, get back to the zoning
- 47:08Speaker 2: issues along the seventy one freeway and let us fucking
- 47:11Speaker 2: keep you safe, idiot.
- 47:12Speaker 1: And yeah, they raise that's kind of the point they
- 47:15Speaker 1: raise is that people assume once like you're a senator,
- 47:18Speaker 1: so of course you know everything happening in the government,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and they were like, no, like Dick Cheney is someone
- 47:22Speaker 1: who would have a need to know, And then maybe
- 47:25Speaker 1: they'll shoot him in the head if you ask too
- 47:26Speaker 1: many questions.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's like, do you think about how you
- 47:30Speaker 2: could be pretty fucking dumb and be an elected official.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I mean you really can't. I mean obviously, I mean
- 47:36Speaker 2: this is not just like a Trump. This is every
- 47:39Speaker 2: level of government, like you'd like, yeah, it's not like
- 47:41Speaker 2: Trump is the first dumb politician. It is like, you know,
- 47:43Speaker 2: we do get to vote, we do get to cast
- 47:45Speaker 2: the votes. I mean, they're not just gonna let the
- 47:46Speaker 2: will of the people decide that, you know, fucking darryl
- 47:48Speaker 2: Isa can represent Orange County and then that guy can
- 47:52Speaker 2: fucking know what the aliens are up to. I mean,
- 47:55Speaker 2: it's gotta be a high level and even like, yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 2: you could. I'm sure you could work your entire life
- 47:59Speaker 2: and just never tell a soul that you want to
- 48:01Speaker 2: find out what the aliens are And just like I'm
- 48:03Speaker 2: gonna learn Arabic and get into the CIA and work
- 48:06Speaker 2: my way up from translated to international relations to you know,
- 48:09Speaker 2: like all the way up to you know, the level
- 48:11Speaker 2: where you can get one of the Joint chiefs of
- 48:13Speaker 2: Staff on the phone.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I think even then they're just like, nah, yeah, you know,
- 48:16Speaker 1: I mean, at any job, there's things that people at
- 48:19Speaker 1: lower levels aren't allowed to. When I worked at fucking Cracked,
- 48:22Speaker 1: I remember one time I asked Jack for access to
- 48:24Speaker 1: our Google analytics so I could see how my columns
- 48:27Speaker 1: were doing, and he was like, nah, yeah, okay, okay, Yeah,
- 48:32Speaker 1: I mean, I guess I don't need to know.
- 48:34Speaker 2: I guess I'm all fucking editor, all right, but yeah,
- 48:37Speaker 2: I'm not you, so, but.
- 48:38Speaker 1: It's and it's and that's that's kind of what it was.
- 48:40Speaker 1: It's like, well, yeah, I'm not Jack, so it's Jack's decision.
- 48:44Speaker 1: And I get I'm sure there are people who would
- 48:46Speaker 1: assume when I was at Cracked, I knew everything about
- 48:48Speaker 1: how our traffic worked and where it was coming from
- 48:50Speaker 1: and how money. No.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I was just told what I was told.
- 48:53Speaker 1: And it's like, you know, even have all been we
- 48:54Speaker 1: could have been doing ten page views a month, I
- 48:56Speaker 1: wouldn't have fucking knew.
- 48:57Speaker 2: We don't even know who Jack is at the time.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Who is Jack?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:02Speaker 1: So at this point in the documentary, they cut to
- 49:07Speaker 1: that really famous clip of Hillary Clinton on Jimmy Kimmel
- 49:10Speaker 1: basically in the run up to the election, saying, you know,
- 49:13Speaker 1: because there's there's another clip.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I believe in that moment she was just trying to
- 49:17Speaker 2: get the community college about away from Bernie. I think
- 49:19Speaker 2: she was just like probably.
- 49:21Speaker 1: But there's also that clip of Bill Clinton on Jimmy
- 49:24Speaker 1: Kimmel where he's talking about you and.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Jimmy kim is an alien. This is very clear, and.
- 49:30Speaker 1: He's talking about you know, aliens and how he thinks
- 49:33Speaker 1: there's more to it and blah blah blah. And that's
- 49:36Speaker 1: when Greer tells another really interesting story where he claims
- 49:42Speaker 1: that he after he had got he'd gathered all this information
- 49:45Speaker 1: uh about aliens, which eventually led him to launch this
- 49:50Speaker 1: disclosure project. Before he launched that project, he took all
- 49:54Speaker 1: of this information to basically to the government and received
- 49:59Speaker 1: a response that was basically, Hey, the work you're doing
- 50:02Speaker 1: is really good and we're impressed by it, and the
- 50:06Speaker 1: president cannot pursue it. And he pushed them a little more.
- 50:11Speaker 1: He was like, if I recall correctly, the response they
- 50:14Speaker 1: gave him was something like, you know, he doesn't feel
- 50:16Speaker 1: comfortable pursuing this or pushing this agenda, blah blah blah.
- 50:19Speaker 1: And he was like, oh, whatever, he's the president. If
- 50:22Speaker 1: he didn't want to be president. He should have got
- 50:23Speaker 1: the job. And they were like, well, we're worried about
- 50:28Speaker 1: protection and we don't know, and the sky laughs and
- 50:31Speaker 1: it's like protection, I don't need protection, and they're like, no,
- 50:34Speaker 1: the president. We don't know if we can protect the president.
- 50:38Speaker 1: And it's like, I think they actually say the phrase,
- 50:42Speaker 1: we don't want him to end up like Kennedy. Yeah,
- 50:47Speaker 1: And that is one of the big rumors or conspiracies
- 50:50Speaker 1: behind the Kennedy assassination is that he was like, let's
- 50:53Speaker 1: fucking talk talk about these aliens in public and they
- 50:56Speaker 1: were like no.
- 50:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and that whole speech about secrets, societies and
- 50:59Speaker 2: everything else else. Yeah, It's like he was he was
- 51:03Speaker 2: like into so much of that shit and just was
- 51:05Speaker 2: like I want to be the guy that changes this
- 51:07Speaker 2: and then shot that motherfucker in the head for some
- 51:10Speaker 2: reason or another, and then the this was our this
- 51:14Speaker 2: is our our great champion. Is it just a philandering,
- 51:17Speaker 2: fucking guy hopped up on meth with a dumb accent
- 51:21Speaker 2: and we're like that was our best shot? Wow? Nice?
- 51:24Speaker 1: And they through the rest of the documentary they also
- 51:29Speaker 1: touch on government. I think the most terrifying part of
- 51:32Speaker 1: The documentary is where they talk about government influence in
- 51:36Speaker 1: mainstream media, and at one point there's this constitutional lawyer
- 51:41Speaker 1: who's like, I have a list of like forty CIA
- 51:44Speaker 1: operatives who work as journalists and writers at mainstream media outlets,
- 51:50Speaker 1: and they talk about all these instances where stories have
- 51:53Speaker 1: gotten to like the upper levels at Time or the
- 51:56Speaker 1: New York Times or wherever, and they just get squad
- 52:00Speaker 1: because for matters of national security. They have quotes from
- 52:04Speaker 1: people who worked in the government saying, yeah, sometimes we
- 52:08Speaker 1: just have to reach out and tell them not to
- 52:10Speaker 1: run stories because it will damage our national interest. So
- 52:14Speaker 1: then these stories end up in tabloids and shit where
- 52:17Speaker 1: we can just go, ah, whatever, it's a fucking inquirer.
- 52:19Speaker 1: That'sh it's not true.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's a thing of like you think, like, okay, well,
- 52:23Speaker 2: we're not like Britain. It's not like our fucking you know,
- 52:25Speaker 2: our leader can just slap a din notice it's something
- 52:28Speaker 2: and keep it from the people. And it's just like, no,
- 52:30Speaker 2: we're just doing that. We just don't. We don't call
- 52:32Speaker 2: it a dino.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Yeah, And they one of the points they make is
- 52:36Speaker 1: the government's best tool in fighting aliens is just this
- 52:41Speaker 1: inherent belief that most people have that aliens aren't real,
- 52:44Speaker 1: Like they just hear it and just kind of bristle
- 52:47Speaker 1: at the idea and dismiss it right away. And that's
- 52:50Speaker 1: a hard thing to get passed.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I guess everyone's just kind of like, you know,
- 52:54Speaker 2: why wouldn't they just drop down in Times Square and
- 52:56Speaker 2: say take me to your leader.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Yeah, And as is pointed out documentary, and it's Greer
- 53:01Speaker 1: who says this, it's not so much we don't have
- 53:05Speaker 1: the evidence that these aliens are necessarily hostile towards us,
- 53:10Speaker 1: but we do kind of have evidence that they're worried
- 53:13Speaker 1: about our hostility and what we might do if they
- 53:17Speaker 1: come down here.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they seem i mean fair enough not to trust them.
- 53:21Speaker 2: What do we do to see an independence day? Yeah,
- 53:23Speaker 2: they saw District nine and they're like, yeah it.
- 53:28Speaker 1: So that's you know, it's uh, it's I really think.
- 53:32Speaker 2: That if you're if a species gets that smart, where
- 53:35Speaker 2: you live in this like techno socialist like Marco Polo
- 53:38Speaker 2: reality where you just want to go and explore the
- 53:41Speaker 2: universe and you're and you're not worried about, you know,
- 53:43Speaker 2: keeping the rainforest alive. You're worried about entire star systems
- 53:46Speaker 2: where these little germs of of civilizations have developed to
- 53:50Speaker 2: a point where they can have your technology, and you're like, well,
- 53:52Speaker 2: I don't want to. Well, the delta quad and it's there. There's
- 53:54Speaker 2: there's a lot of plasma in that, you know, and
- 53:56Speaker 2: we use that for our space or whatever the fuck
- 53:58Speaker 2: it is. It's some kind of altruism or curiosity or
- 54:00Speaker 2: just the innate desire to learn. I don't think they're
- 54:03Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna be I don't think you
- 54:04Speaker 2: can get that smart and beat and be a warring people.
- 54:06Speaker 2: I don't think you could to that point like that.
- 54:08Speaker 2: So it's like, yeah, that kind of does make lot
- 54:10Speaker 2: more sense to me that they're just like, yeah, we're
- 54:12Speaker 2: worried you're just gonna blow not only us up, but
- 54:14Speaker 2: yourselves up.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Sobody, yeah, so yeah. And they also talk about how
- 54:18Speaker 1: this influence has also spread to like academics and scientists.
- 54:22Speaker 1: There's a quote, one more scary quote from a scientist
- 54:25Speaker 1: named Frank B. Salisbury, PhD. He says, I must admit
- 54:29Speaker 1: that any favorable mention of flying saucers by a scientist
- 54:32Speaker 1: amounts to extreme heresy and places the one making the
- 54:35Speaker 1: statement in danger of excommunication by the scientific theocracy. Why
- 54:43Speaker 1: is there a scientific theocracy?
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what a word to pick. Yeah, yeah, but I
- 54:47Speaker 2: mean it's it's true, I mean.
- 54:49Speaker 1: And they cut. Then they cut to a clip.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Of building everyone's gonna fucking huddle a little closer around
- 54:54Speaker 2: the lunch table if they see you walking up after
- 54:55Speaker 2: you point out that the fucking data doesn't add up.
- 54:59Speaker 1: And then you know, they argue that people like Carl Sagan,
- 55:03Speaker 1: who has said on multiple occasions there's no proof of aliens,
- 55:07Speaker 1: he didn't always say that, and then at one point
- 55:09Speaker 1: just kind of switches course. And their argument is that
- 55:13Speaker 1: people get intimidated, like the government will send someone out
- 55:16Speaker 1: and be like, hey, shut the fuck up. Now, people
- 55:19Speaker 1: listen to you, and we don't want them to listen
- 55:20Speaker 1: into what you're saying.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yeah, let's just get him used to the idea of
- 55:22Speaker 2: a space, time and gravity first, all right. You know,
- 55:26Speaker 2: it's like you want to get your girlfriend into Star Trek.
- 55:29Speaker 2: You don't start with Deep Space nine, all right. You
- 55:31Speaker 2: start with City on the Edge of Forever, and you
- 55:33Speaker 2: work your way in.
- 55:34Speaker 1: And they show a clip of Bill Nye, who is
- 55:37Speaker 1: a staunchly opposed to the idea that aliens might exist,
- 55:41Speaker 1: and I don't buy that. Yeah, I don't think Bill
- 55:44Speaker 1: Nye is. I feel like he's too smart to honestly
- 55:48Speaker 1: believe that there's no chance aliens exist.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I weird personal connection. My high school girlfriend used
- 55:55Speaker 2: to swing dance with Bill n I from time to time.
- 55:58Speaker 1: That is an interest connection.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I do think that someone who enjoys swing dancing
- 56:03Speaker 2: might be too dumb. But yeah, that's a good point.
- 56:06Speaker 2: I don't I don't know Bill NY's actual credentials. Yeah,
- 56:09Speaker 2: and he's he's kind of taken on the scientific role
- 56:11Speaker 2: of explaining fairly basic shit to people. Yeah. I saw
- 56:15Speaker 2: a fucking Instagram post McCall I went to high school
- 56:17Speaker 2: with about how I wonder who paid Bill Naya to
- 56:20Speaker 2: tell us all that vaccines are bad. I'm pursuing an
- 56:22Speaker 2: alternative vaccine lifestyle for my baby. And I was just like, oh, yeah, unfriend,
- 56:26Speaker 2: you is bumming me out. Oh that's that's grim way
- 56:31Speaker 2: to your kid in the crutches at some point later, So.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's what do you think? Are we about
- 56:39Speaker 1: to find out aliens are real? Or do we already know? Like?
- 56:42Speaker 1: Is that video like that UFO video that they released
- 56:45Speaker 1: in December is weird. It's gotten to a point because
- 56:48Speaker 1: it's normally the government who's supposed to step in and
- 56:50Speaker 1: say no, you know what this is.
- 56:52Speaker 2: But yeah, they're they're teasing it. It's just like a
- 56:54Speaker 2: new Pindric album. Ow he changed his avatar blacks coming
- 56:57Speaker 2: Cloverfield movie. We're just seeing these grain fucking videos. Yeah,
- 57:01Speaker 2: and it's it's kind of a point where ship is
- 57:04Speaker 2: so fucked up. If you're gonna pull the unifying crisis card,
- 57:08Speaker 2: you are, You've got that motherfucker in your hand ready,
- 57:11Speaker 2: all right? Oh yeah, you know it's I I really
- 57:14Speaker 2: think it could. I think I'll probably see it in
- 57:16Speaker 2: my lifetime, you know. I think we'll see it in
- 57:18Speaker 2: our lifetime.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Yeah. That that comes up in the documentary too, that
- 57:22Speaker 1: it could just be we'll launch some sort of false
- 57:26Speaker 1: flag alien invasion kind of thing. Yeah, which that would
- 57:30Speaker 1: be worse.
- 57:31Speaker 2: That would be worse, and it would be way worse.
- 57:34Speaker 2: And you see all the ship like you know, like
- 57:35Speaker 2: the whole who killed the Electric Car thing, and they're like,
- 57:38Speaker 2: why why do we steal all of Tesla's papers? And
- 57:40Speaker 2: it's like, I don't really think Tesla is onto infinite energy.
- 57:43Speaker 2: I think he was fucking kind of crazy. He was
- 57:45Speaker 2: friends with pigeons. I mean I think that's you know,
- 57:48Speaker 2: with Mike Tyson as any guy, that's sort of a
- 57:50Speaker 2: red flag. But it's like, yeah, we do kind of
- 57:52Speaker 2: we do kind of squash innovation if it doesn't fit
- 57:55Speaker 2: into the the economy, Oh yeah.
- 57:57Speaker 1: For sure.
- 57:58Speaker 2: I mean you think the people pitch capital is is
- 58:00Speaker 2: this kind of like, well, yeah, the best ideas rise
- 58:02Speaker 2: to the top. And it's like, you know, yeah, your
- 58:03Speaker 2: typewriter business went out of you know, you know with
- 58:05Speaker 2: win under and you should have you know, saw the
- 58:07Speaker 2: commuters were coming and invested in you know, the circuitry research,
- 58:10Speaker 2: and it's like yeah, kind of but I think with
- 58:13Speaker 2: a lot of shit, you sort of just like, yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 2: we a whole bunch of the our whole fucking shit
- 58:18Speaker 2: is running on oil. And it's like I don't want
- 58:21Speaker 2: to have to do all the paperwork to restructure. Oh
- 58:25Speaker 2: my god, these gas station employees are gonna be pissed.
- 58:27Speaker 2: We gotta bowl those those and eat with the free
- 58:30Speaker 2: energy that's gonna be a lot of it, you know what,
- 58:31Speaker 2: fuck it, just no aliens. We gotta wait until these
- 58:35Speaker 2: literally fingers centimeters away from the button before they're like, well, aliens,
- 58:40Speaker 2: we gotta deal with this over and look at this,
- 58:42Speaker 2: we gotta okay, we'll save the super aliens for when
- 58:45Speaker 2: that doesn't keep everybody freaked out and you know, pacified
- 58:49Speaker 2: any more.
- 58:50Speaker 1: So Yeah, it's I feel like it's gonna happen. I
- 58:53Speaker 1: feel like we'll see it soon. Trump seems like the
- 58:56Speaker 1: kind of president that would he'll do something alien related
- 58:59Speaker 1: to try and get elected re elected probably.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and no one, no one's really telling him. Shit, Yeah,
- 59:05Speaker 2: that's no one. No one is these guys. These guys
- 59:07Speaker 2: weren't gonna tell Bill Clinton, were JFK. Trump.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Uh, Now that we're thinking about it in a historical context,
- 59:15Speaker 1: I really hope Trump pushes the CIA to aliens. Yeah,
- 59:20Speaker 1: solely because I want to know about aliens baby, no
- 59:23Speaker 1: other reason.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's it's almost funny, like you wish
- 59:26Speaker 2: he had just like drained the swamp, so to speak.
- 59:29Speaker 2: And even if they were like, you know, these these
- 59:30Speaker 2: horrible neo con operatives that had fucking malicious intentions, he
- 59:34Speaker 2: did just completely staff the government with all these people
- 59:37Speaker 2: and instead of you know, just going to the same
- 59:38Speaker 2: old party hacks that you know would have happened if
- 59:41Speaker 2: Ted Cruz had taken office. It's like, yeah, maybe if
- 59:43Speaker 2: you would have done that, some one would have shot
- 59:45Speaker 2: him in the head like that.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Exactly, all right, So we should wrap this up. We're
- 59:50Speaker 1: gonna the next episode, since we're we're on the verge
- 59:54Speaker 1: of learning about aliens and how they might even already
- 59:57Speaker 1: be here, We're gonna talk about the aliens, will probably
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: the Grays on an episode called Meet the Grays. It's
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: gonna be uh, it's gonna be a thrill ride.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: It's gonna be a lot of a lot of a
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: lot of dissected butthole talk.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of If you wondered why we kept
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: going back to Cord Colan's The Alien Ready.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: To Learn, I want to see the alien infomercial where
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Alien Martha Stewart is like, you can harvest a human
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: butthole for experiences and just the flick of a wrist,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: what do.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: We have to plug before we get out of here?
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: This goes up Monday the eighth. I will be at
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: the darkest hour of that Friday, January twelfth, eleven thirty pm.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: West Side Comedy Theater in Santa Monica. And then oh,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: January tenth, I'm at Hollywood Hotel for a show called Hilarity,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: which is run by Quincy Johnson. And January twenty second,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I'm Speak Easy Cocktail in Santa Monica.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Hell yeah, we're doing a big Mean Boys tour coming
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: up pretty soon, So hop on the email list. It's
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: on the Twitter bio. Go listen to Mean Boys falling
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: me on all social media platforms at Connor mac spadden
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: and I'll post some funny ship every once in a while.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: You should, yeah, post some funny shit.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Everyone occasionally when I when I, when I feel confident
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: enough in my own assertions to share them, I'll drop
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: a gym or two.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Let the fucking government tell you you can't. All right,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: let's get the fuck out of here. Connor say goodbye
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: bye everybody. Goodbye everybody. We love you,
