  SPEAKER_00: He once said, Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.

  SPEAKER_00: He is considered successful in our day, who gets more out of life than he puts in.

  SPEAKER_00: But a man of value will give more than he receives.

  SPEAKER_00: So with that said, here are three simple ways to add more value to the people around you.

  SPEAKER_00: Number one, and maybe this is the most important one, is buy your friends books and give them away.

  SPEAKER_00: Now obviously this adds value to your friends because you're supporting their writing and their books, but it also adds value to the people who are receiving the books, and that's a cool double win.

  SPEAKER_00: Number two, leave reviews for the books that you read.

  SPEAKER_00: Every author, no matter how famous they are or how infamous they are, as the case might be, every author wants book reviews.

  SPEAKER_00: And this is a simple way to give people exactly what they want and to feel really good about it in the process.

  SPEAKER_00: And finally, number three, make introductions between people who should know each other.

  SPEAKER_00: A lot of introverted writers don't do this because they focus on the work and they forget that their work is ultimately all about people.

  SPEAKER_00: Remember, success as a writer isn't just about books, it's also about relationships and the people that you serve.
