- 0:26Speaker 2: I had a question for you, Steve, Okay, I'll take it.
- 0:30Speaker 2: What are the things that you think you should let
- 0:34Speaker 2: go of?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Oh wow, what are the things I think I would
- 0:41Speaker 3: let go of? Well, first of all, and this is
- 0:46Speaker 3: gonna sign sound kind of wide wide spread, but you've.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Got to release worry.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Worry is a dangerous thing because it occupied time and
- 1:01Speaker 3: it robs you of the gift of the present. Worry
- 1:08Speaker 3: is a dangerous component because it robs you of the
- 1:11Speaker 3: gift of the present.
- 1:14Speaker 4: If God allows you to.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Have today as a gift, and he wakes you up,
- 1:20Speaker 3: it allows you exist in it and this is yours
- 1:23Speaker 3: and He still has something for you. But you spend
- 1:27Speaker 3: that day worrying about one of two things tomorrow or yesterday.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And I got news for you. You can't do You cannot
- 1:38Speaker 3: do anything about either one of those. Worry is time consuming.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Worry destroys the act of faith, which is a requirement
- 1:51Speaker 3: to have a really, really great relationship with God. God
- 1:56Speaker 3: really just wants you to do simple things. Just believe
- 1:59Speaker 3: in him. God wants you to trust in Him. But
- 2:06Speaker 3: you got to have a relationship with Him. But worry
- 2:11Speaker 3: cancels out that relationship because it has you focused on
- 2:15Speaker 3: things you can't control. And it also puts you in
- 2:18Speaker 3: the position of you're not talking to God about this.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I can assure you, if you're worrying about something repeatedly,
- 2:26Speaker 3: over and over and over, you haven't turned it over
- 2:29Speaker 3: to God. I know people say yes, Steve, but you
- 2:32Speaker 3: still got to think about stuff. I said worry. I
- 2:37Speaker 3: didn't say think. Anybody told you not to think. I
- 2:42Speaker 3: said worry. I would let go of worry because worried.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Does you know how many times have you worried about
- 2:51Speaker 3: something tomorrow and when tomorrow God here, it ain't or
- 2:53Speaker 3: nothing like that. I mean, zilch ah man oh man,
- 3:00Speaker 3: I mean, and it can go both ways.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Man.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I thought tomorrow when I woke up, I was gonna
- 3:05Speaker 3: get some great news, only to find out that celebration
- 3:11Speaker 3: need to be put on hold, homie, you ain't got
- 3:14Speaker 3: no good news today, or I was expecting some bad
- 3:18Speaker 3: news tomorrow, and I was worrying about this bad news.
- 3:22Speaker 3: And then when I showed up God and worked it
- 3:24Speaker 3: completely out another way, and it was over with.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So guess what I did. I wasted my yesterday.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I ruined my moment of present peace worrying about something
- 3:35Speaker 3: I had no control over. I would get rid of worry.
- 3:38Speaker 3: The other thing I would get rid of. I would
- 3:40Speaker 3: get rid of people who bring me nothing but bad news.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Life is already difficult. The last thing you need is
- 3:48Speaker 3: somebody had every time you see them, something wrong, something
- 3:52Speaker 3: going on. Did you see what they said about you
- 3:54Speaker 3: on the internet? Man, did you read this? It's this true.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I don't know how you do it. I was at
- 4:00Speaker 3: the barber shop and they was just talking about you.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I be just sitting there. Hey, hey, hey man, hey,
- 4:05Speaker 3: hey hey stop stop stop stop bringing that to me,
- 4:10Speaker 3: because guess what I'm having another day of perfect peace.
- 4:14Speaker 3: And now here you come with that. Take people out
- 4:18Speaker 3: your life that are not praying for you, pulling for you,
- 4:23Speaker 3: cheering for you and helping you. If you are the
- 4:26Speaker 3: one that always has to do something for them. You
- 4:30Speaker 3: are being used and manipulated and you don't need that.
- 4:35Speaker 3: The other thing I would get rid of is the
- 4:37Speaker 3: fear of saying no. It's okay to say no.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Man.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Stop wondering what people gonna think about you if you
- 4:45Speaker 3: say no. Let me tell you what say Noh. Yes,
- 4:49Speaker 3: they gonna feel what they want to feel about you
- 4:50Speaker 3: anyway you can give it to them, and they talk
- 4:52Speaker 3: about you. You know what, manytimes you've helped somebody and
- 4:56Speaker 3: then later on they forgot you helped them, and you
- 4:58Speaker 3: hear them talking about you somewhere. Man, lose your fear
- 5:01Speaker 3: of saying no, no, Man, I can't do that. I
- 5:05Speaker 3: just gotta text this morning. Hey man, I'm in town. Man,
- 5:10Speaker 3: I got this going on, that going on. I need
- 5:12Speaker 3: about ten minutes of your time. I say, I ain't
- 5:15Speaker 3: got it, man, I'm busy. You ain't got ten minutes. No, no, no,
- 5:19Speaker 3: not for you. I don't not for you, because I
- 5:23Speaker 3: know the ten minutes is gonna break my peace.
- 5:26Speaker 4: You not my child.
- 5:27Speaker 3: If my child need ten minutes, I have an obligation
- 5:31Speaker 3: to them. I still feel obligated to my children, even
- 5:33Speaker 3: though the youngest one is twenty eight if they say, Dad,
- 5:36Speaker 3: I need to talk to you, I'm finna give them
- 5:39Speaker 3: some time.
- 5:41Speaker 4: But other than.
- 5:41Speaker 3: That, man, lose your fear of saying no, no, it's
- 5:46Speaker 3: good man. Protect your peace, protect your happiness, protect your space,
- 5:55Speaker 3: get away from those people. So those are the things
- 5:58Speaker 3: I would lose my fear, worry, I would lose my
- 6:02Speaker 3: fear of people. I would lose people around me who
- 6:06Speaker 3: bring me no good. And I would lose my fear
- 6:09Speaker 3: of saying no, no, no thank you. As a matter
- 6:13Speaker 3: of fact, put thank you with it, hey, man, can
- 6:16Speaker 3: you loan me five hundred dollars? No? Thank you? No, no,
- 6:21Speaker 3: thank you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: No.
- 6:23Speaker 4: It affects them differently. Try it. Try it today. Somebody
- 6:26Speaker 4: gonna ask you for some money, Just say no, thank you.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Y'all have a great day today, and remember everybody talk
- 6:32Speaker 3: to God today. He would absolutely love to hear from you.
