- 0:06Speaker 1: Coming through your Live from Philly. It's the Bullying Tony
- 0:10Speaker 1: Foolsco Show. As always, Polly Foolsco here with Tony Foolsco.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And Tony made headlines again last week, didn't we. You know,
- 0:21Speaker 1: we had Andrew Bogett, NBA champ on the show, and
- 0:25Speaker 1: he let loose about his ex teammates, the Warriors, especially
- 0:29Speaker 1: that tyrant Steph Curry, and what a nightmare it was
- 0:33Speaker 1: for him over there. Yeah, you know, nobody's talking about it,
- 0:37Speaker 1: but these tiny three point shooters are prejudiced against tall
- 0:41Speaker 1: people and they're trying to get them out of the NBA.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It's terrible, and we exposed it. We did a good
- 0:48Speaker 1: journalism by us. Anyway, this week, you know, it's post
- 0:51Speaker 1: NFL draft, and you know, by the way, I thought
- 0:54Speaker 1: it was the most boring NFL draft ever. You Tony horrible.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You know, all these kilbies, they're so cookie cutter, boring,
- 1:02Speaker 1: they got nothing interesting to say. You know, That's why
- 1:04Speaker 1: we thought we do him a public service and teach
- 1:08Speaker 1: them how to be interesting. So today we're gonna bring
- 1:11Speaker 1: on a q B who has tons of personality and
- 1:14Speaker 1: other things, though in the hopes that he could give
- 1:17Speaker 1: some advice to these young QB's and he's the best
- 1:21Speaker 1: man for the job. Yeah, former number two overall picked
- 1:24Speaker 1: to the charges but should have gone number one, Ryan Leaf,
- 1:28Speaker 1: And you know we're gonna get him to tell the
- 1:30Speaker 1: truth about why he got kind of penalized right for
- 1:34Speaker 1: being real, for being a real quarterback, unlike that phony
- 1:38Speaker 1: human billboard Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning more like watching paint
- 1:43Speaker 1: dry Manning good one Tony. Anyway, before we get to
- 1:47Speaker 1: Ryan Leaf in a few minutes, we got to go
- 1:49Speaker 1: deep on our analysis of this year's draft. It's our
- 1:53Speaker 1: top story story, all right. All these people are saying
- 1:58Speaker 1: it's such a great QB draft because so many qbs
- 2:01Speaker 1: got drafted in the first round. So what they know
- 2:04Speaker 1: how to play football? Big deal? No one how to
- 2:07Speaker 1: play football is like of what it takes to be
- 2:10Speaker 1: an NFL quarterback? Isn't that right? Don'ty? Absolutely? In fact,
- 2:15Speaker 1: just to prove our point, we decided to put our
- 2:18Speaker 1: heads together as we always do and give you our
- 2:22Speaker 1: top five under appreciated KiB draft picks of all time
- 2:27Speaker 1: so that you at home, or in your car or
- 2:30Speaker 1: in your home office can understand what really makes a
- 2:34Speaker 1: quarterback yep, So here we go the top five most
- 2:39Speaker 1: underappreciated KILB draft picks of all time. Let's kick it
- 2:43Speaker 1: off at number five, Number five, easy one here, Tony
- 2:49Speaker 1: obviously gotta go with overall pick to the Broncos none
- 2:54Speaker 1: other than Tim Tebow. You know, people, Tim Tebow proved
- 2:58Speaker 1: you don't even need to know how to throw a
- 3:00Speaker 1: workball to play quarterback. All you need is the heart
- 3:04Speaker 1: of a champion and also the will the win. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 1: Tim Tebow might have only completed of his passes, but
- 3:14Speaker 1: he won hundred percent believed in all of them. And
- 3:19Speaker 1: now big breaking news out of Jacksonville. Our sources say
- 3:23Speaker 1: head coach Urban Meya is bringing Tim Tebow to the
- 3:27Speaker 1: Jaguas as a him him tight end hit wink wink, Sure,
- 3:34Speaker 1: more like killb one Yeah, watch that all right? That
- 3:38Speaker 1: leads to number four on our list, Number four, number
- 3:42Speaker 1: one overall pick to the Colts in Jeff George. We
- 3:48Speaker 1: all know the most important thing of being a quarterback.
- 3:51Speaker 1: What is it, Tony? Maturity exactly. And nobody looked more
- 3:56Speaker 1: mature than Jeff George at the the rage of twenty one.
- 4:01Speaker 1: He looked forty seven. He had it all the looks,
- 4:06Speaker 1: the mustache, a little bit of a gut. He naturally
- 4:09Speaker 1: earned all the players respect because he reminded them of
- 4:13Speaker 1: their dad. Yep, and Jeff George wound up getting the
- 4:17Speaker 1: richest rookie contract in NFL history at the time, a
- 4:21Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million dollars, because because well, because Colt's ownership,
- 4:26Speaker 1: they must have looked at him and thought, wow, this
- 4:28Speaker 1: guy looks so old. Surely he must have a wife
- 4:31Speaker 1: and four kids at home. Gotta you know, gotta support him,
- 4:34Speaker 1: all right? Moving on, number three, number happens to be
- 4:41Speaker 1: a number to pick the Washington in the year eleven.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Of course we're talking about r G three. You know, people,
- 4:49Speaker 1: everyone out there seems to think you need a QB
- 4:52Speaker 1: to be a QB for fifteen twenty years. No, don't
- 4:57Speaker 1: you people realize there's a draft every single Yeah, r
- 5:01Speaker 1: G three was terrific. For a year. You got what
- 5:04Speaker 1: you needed out of him. Then you move on. That's
- 5:05Speaker 1: what you do. It makes perfect sense. Like when you
- 5:09Speaker 1: go to the supermarket, do you buy one thousand gallons
- 5:13Speaker 1: of milk to last you fifteen years? No, because you
- 5:17Speaker 1: know the supermarket's gonna be there every year, just like
- 5:21Speaker 1: the NFL draft is gonna be there every year. Terrific point, Tony.
- 5:26Speaker 1: And you know, when you look back, if Washington had
- 5:29Speaker 1: just followed this rational and gone with E. J. Manuel
- 5:33Speaker 1: the following year, everything would have turned out okay for them,
- 5:36Speaker 1: absolutely all right. That leads us to number two on
- 5:40Speaker 1: our list obvious one year, Tony, the number eight eight
- 5:45Speaker 1: overall pick two the Eagles, of course, talking about Mr
- 5:51Speaker 1: Nick Fallss, do we even need to, you know, do
- 5:56Speaker 1: a segment explaining this one, Tony, No explanation with quiet no.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And that's why right now we can add straight to
- 6:04Speaker 1: the top the Penthouse because here it is the number
- 6:08Speaker 1: one most underappreciated draft pick of all time. Oh by
- 6:14Speaker 1: no coincidence, Tony. Our guests for today, Mr Ryan le Yeah, yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 1: And instead of telling you about them, well, why don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: we just use the power of our tremendous reach to
- 6:29Speaker 1: get him on the line for you people right now?
- 6:32Speaker 1: And that's where I see him right now, coming on.
- 6:34Speaker 1: So let's bring him on the Fusco Satellite Network satellite alright,
- 6:41Speaker 1: this guy, big time QB out of Washington State, strong
- 6:45Speaker 1: arm and and even stronger personality. Good for him. Heisman
- 6:49Speaker 1: Trophy finalist in nineties. Then in one of the great
- 6:52Speaker 1: draft mistakes of all time, he was picked number two
- 6:55Speaker 1: to the Charges. When he showed up been picked number
- 6:58Speaker 1: one to the Colts. We'll get into all that, but
- 7:00Speaker 1: he's the host of the Audi l Show on YouTube.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Let's bring him on, Ryan Leaf. Welcome to the show. Welcome,
- 7:06Speaker 1: what's up, fellas? How you doing well? Doing good? Well, Frankly,
- 7:10Speaker 1: we're glad to have you here because you know we're
- 7:12Speaker 1: watching this graph These qubes, I mean, they couldn't be
- 7:16Speaker 1: less interesting. They got no toughness, no machismo, and that's
- 7:20Speaker 1: why we thought we could bring you on and you
- 7:23Speaker 1: can give him some advice, you know, and how to
- 7:25Speaker 1: be a real quarterback. So let's start with Trevor Lawrence,
- 7:29Speaker 1: number one pick to the Jags. He's about to meet
- 7:31Speaker 1: all his new teammates. What's the first thing he should
- 7:35Speaker 1: say to all of them? Do you know set the tone? Well,
- 7:39Speaker 1: he probably should say, uh, you know, go find a
- 7:42Speaker 1: guy that's been in the locker room the longest, who's
- 7:45Speaker 1: been a pro for as long as he can remember,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and ask him how he did it, because everything starts over.
- 7:51Speaker 1: And I think that was the biggest mistake I made was.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You know, I thought I had all the answers. I
- 7:55Speaker 1: thought I was gonna be coming there to be the savior.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I mean, everybody was expecting that, but not capable of
- 8:00Speaker 1: doing that. And you're a twenty two years old with
- 8:02Speaker 1: a bunch of men in that room. So go ask
- 8:04Speaker 1: the guys that I've been there and how they did it,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and then you follow their advice. What kind of fucking
- 8:08Speaker 1: answer is this? Yeah, I mean, come on, you're Ryan
- 8:11Speaker 1: fucking Leaf. Don't you think it's better if the quarterback
- 8:14Speaker 1: comes in the room first day, it looks around and says, hey,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm the captain. Now I'm the star. Nobody's ever heard
- 8:22Speaker 1: of any of you fox, so shut up, do what
- 8:25Speaker 1: I say and that's it. Don't you think that sets
- 8:28Speaker 1: a better tone? Yeah? Well that you know that clearly
- 8:33Speaker 1: didn't work for me. And that's exactly what the funk
- 8:35Speaker 1: I did, boys, and uh it sent me packing in
- 8:39Speaker 1: four years. Is one of the biggest bus to have
- 8:41Speaker 1: ever played in this game. So yeah, if there's any
- 8:45Speaker 1: advice I'd give them, do exactly that and you won't
- 8:48Speaker 1: be around for much longer. Yeah, but your teammates said
- 8:52Speaker 1: you would mean and hurt full and all this other bullshit.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Didn't you say to them, Hey, this is the National
- 8:59Speaker 1: Football League, not ramp a room, so quit your crying
- 9:03Speaker 1: and grow a nut. Sec At though, Yeah, that's how
- 9:06Speaker 1: I thought it should have been. I was like, what
- 9:08Speaker 1: the hell is your problem? Yea, but clearly you have
- 9:11Speaker 1: to play well to gain respect from NFL players, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: I wasn't doing that, so I didn't have that going
- 9:17Speaker 1: for me. Plus the bad attitude similar to what you
- 9:20Speaker 1: guys do in your your professional hold on, I think
- 9:24Speaker 1: you're confusing a bad Editthode with an honest Additthode. We
- 9:28Speaker 1: give it to you honest, right, as did I. Yeah,
- 9:32Speaker 1: and you know, look, I just want to show you
- 9:34Speaker 1: something because you said something there that there you said
- 9:37Speaker 1: you weren't playing that well, okay, hold on, you threw
- 9:40Speaker 1: fifteen picks your rookie season. You know who threw picks
- 9:45Speaker 1: his rookie season, Peyton Manning. So come on, don't you
- 9:49Speaker 1: think he also played sixteen games? Na? See now you're
- 9:52Speaker 1: just bringing up asterisks. Yeah, but picks a pick. Cayton
- 9:55Speaker 1: should have been on the bench week eight. Well, that's
- 9:58Speaker 1: the thing. If you would have been benched earlier, you
- 10:01Speaker 1: know what would have come of that, you know, let
- 10:04Speaker 1: people learn on the job. I also don't know if
- 10:07Speaker 1: I could have if my like my mental capacity, you
- 10:10Speaker 1: could have dealt with thrown for the most interceptions that year.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Don't forget he also threw for the most rookie touchdowns. Ever,
- 10:17Speaker 1: side note, that's just that a side note. I thought
- 10:20Speaker 1: they were better off with Jack Trudeau. They should have
- 10:22Speaker 1: just kept him, you know, commanded than Peyton Manning. But
- 10:26Speaker 1: that's just me. Or just let Marshall fault play quarterback,
- 10:29Speaker 1: running back, everything. That would have probably worked out a
- 10:31Speaker 1: little lot better for those Mangji Colts. Well, you know,
- 10:35Speaker 1: are you talking about the Colts. Let's go back to
- 10:38Speaker 1: you know, before you were drafted. Okay, you were being
- 10:40Speaker 1: pursued by the Colts, right at one point it was
- 10:43Speaker 1: down to you and Peyton. Then they had an interview
- 10:46Speaker 1: and you didn't show up. Now, that move was widely criticized,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but you know, to us, that was a boss move.
- 10:52Speaker 1: It was your way of telling them I operate on
- 10:54Speaker 1: Ryan Leaf time, not Colts time. Was that what you
- 10:57Speaker 1: were trying to say a little bit? I'm but we
- 11:00Speaker 1: didn't intentionally miss the meeting the Chicago Bears asked me
- 11:03Speaker 1: to get an m R. I on my thumb. So
- 11:06Speaker 1: it just it worked out perfectly because Jim Mora got
- 11:09Speaker 1: into a just a just a rip roar and angry
- 11:11Speaker 1: mess about it, and uh, you know, we had made
- 11:14Speaker 1: it pretty clear that we weren't really interested in going
- 11:16Speaker 1: to Indianapolis. We wanted to go to San Diego. The
- 11:18Speaker 1: West Coast, the beaches, the babes, all the things from
- 11:22Speaker 1: the West Coast had family there. So I mean it
- 11:24Speaker 1: worked out in our benefit. You know, it worked out
- 11:26Speaker 1: in our benefit. It wasn't intentional, but hey, you know
- 11:29Speaker 1: we we took what we could get with that deal. Yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So just so I make sure I understand this on
- 11:34Speaker 1: a deeper level, when you were scouting teams, you have
- 11:37Speaker 1: two highest priorities with tits And is that true? That's
- 11:42Speaker 1: why you went to San Diego. I mean, the they
- 11:45Speaker 1: were more they were more Stanley clad than uh than
- 11:48Speaker 1: those in the Midwest around Indianapolis. I would I could
- 11:51Speaker 1: have only a man, I don't, I don't you know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I I don't think. I don't think. I don't think
- 11:55Speaker 1: i'd be able to find a good woman in Philly.
- 11:57Speaker 1: But that's just what are you talking? You had to
- 12:01Speaker 1: go handle a spicy Philly girl. Let me tell you something.
- 12:05Speaker 1: My mom would have banged you so hard you would
- 12:07Speaker 1: have shown up on the injury report. All right, Well,
- 12:11Speaker 1: you know you had to go there, and that was
- 12:13Speaker 1: that shows I guess why this is why people didn't
- 12:16Speaker 1: like you so much. Now I can kind of see,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know, let's let's talk of another reason. You know,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you kind of overstepped your bounds that we didn't think.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So after you got picked by the charges, you remember
- 12:26Speaker 1: what did you do that night? You went to Vegas
- 12:29Speaker 1: right pottied all night long. This was criticized. This was criticized,
- 12:33Speaker 1: but you know I thought is you should have done
- 12:35Speaker 1: it and too do you think the problem was that
- 12:37Speaker 1: you didn't invite your coaches and your teammates to come
- 12:39Speaker 1: with you, you know, as a team bonding and invited
- 12:42Speaker 1: my coaches, my team, The owner came with us. The
- 12:45Speaker 1: owner came with me. You know, he's the one who
- 12:47Speaker 1: he's want to drop this off. So I mean, it
- 12:50Speaker 1: was an opportunity for my boys from Montana who didn't
- 12:53Speaker 1: get to make it to New York to celebrate everything
- 12:55Speaker 1: we've done. Didn't really party that much, just gave each
- 12:58Speaker 1: one of them five bucks and said it joy the
- 13:00Speaker 1: night and we just we just went out and celebrated.
- 13:02Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, the optics of it look shitty,
- 13:06Speaker 1: but come on now, I'm who at two years old,
- 13:09Speaker 1: it was just drapped in the nfl um You know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: isn't going to enjoy the night like I did. And
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm glad I did it. I wouldn't. I wouldn't do
- 13:17Speaker 1: anything else. Uh any other way, agreed. I loved the
- 13:22Speaker 1: time I got to spend with my family, my friends
- 13:23Speaker 1: that night, celebrating something that I that no one had
- 13:25Speaker 1: ever accomplished ever in the state of Montana and still hasn't,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you know. And you you make a great point, and
- 13:31Speaker 1: this is why you are better than Peyton, because Peyton
- 13:34Speaker 1: would have never done that. Peyton is not a real person.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The robot right there, you go. Don't you think a
- 13:40Speaker 1: better nickname for Peyton Manning would be paint dry Manning
- 13:44Speaker 1: because he's like watching paint dry. Yeah, it's kind of
- 13:49Speaker 1: worked out for him. So I'm not I'm not gonna
- 13:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna bash to our boys. Okay, alright, alright,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I see you play in the you know, political game
- 13:56Speaker 1: here whatever. Good for you. Uh, look, I just want
- 13:59Speaker 1: to go back to then you clarify something you said
- 14:01Speaker 1: a little earlier, because I just want to get this straight.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I always assumed you were angry when Peyton was drafted
- 14:07Speaker 1: ahead of you. But you're telling me that you weren't
- 14:09Speaker 1: angry because you're not into Midwest farm girls. You're into
- 14:13Speaker 1: PEKINI clad South California's I get that right. I thought
- 14:17Speaker 1: I thought I was winning. I thought I was winning.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I thought I was I got the better spot. So
- 14:22Speaker 1: I wasn't. I wasn't doing the rational thinking and looking
- 14:25Speaker 1: at Marshall Falk and Marvin Harrison out there. I was,
- 14:27Speaker 1: like I said, I was looking at the beaches in
- 14:29Speaker 1: the bay. Yeah, Coronado. Yeah, that's that's all. It was
- 14:34Speaker 1: about your priority. Yeah yeah, I had my priorities right,
- 14:38Speaker 1: And that's that's you know, that's the story that needs
- 14:40Speaker 1: to be told. This is great advice for any young
- 14:43Speaker 1: NFL player listening out there. You know, looking back now,
- 14:47Speaker 1: do you think you would have had more success if
- 14:50Speaker 1: another team drafted you. You know, the Chargers sucked. Let's
- 14:53Speaker 1: face it, no matter whether you were there or not.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You know what if you went to, you know, a
- 14:58Speaker 1: team that better understood your person anality. Like the Raiders
- 15:01Speaker 1: with Gruden, you know, you could have told the teams
- 15:03Speaker 1: to go funk themselves together. Yeah yeah, I thought about
- 15:08Speaker 1: that for a while. In fact that you know, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: kind of blamed you know, playing the charges for a
- 15:11Speaker 1: long time. But I used this saying, you know, wherever
- 15:15Speaker 1: you go, there you are. And that's gotta be a
- 15:17Speaker 1: thing that you guys live by every day to like,
- 15:19Speaker 1: no matter where you go, you're you know, you just
- 15:21Speaker 1: you're the same, same guys and people have to look
- 15:24Speaker 1: at you like, oh my god, these you know, these
- 15:26Speaker 1: ship birds again showed up. I was right, that's we're
- 15:34Speaker 1: we're kindred spirits us. You know, we look in the
- 15:36Speaker 1: mirror and we go, oh fuck. Five minutes ago, I
- 15:39Speaker 1: would have taken that as a compliment, spirits. How many
- 15:42Speaker 1: super Bowl rings you have? How many super Bowl rings
- 15:45Speaker 1: you got? Back there? I think I got to do
- 15:50Speaker 1: two rings, maybe one around your anus? Where's the other one?
- 15:53Speaker 1: What don't you buy him? Appa bay um? And then
- 15:57Speaker 1: I got I got one from the Cowboys as a
- 16:00Speaker 1: an honorary one. Um, because once you're a cowboy, you're
- 16:03Speaker 1: always a cowboy. So and I'll take them who cares.
- 16:06Speaker 1: There you go. See this, you have two Super Bowl
- 16:09Speaker 1: rings just like Payton. So there you go. Down saves
- 16:12Speaker 1: our points same same. We're winning. We're winning. He's a dad,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I'm a dad. You know, life's life's grant. There you go.
- 16:20Speaker 1: So I think this is a This is a good
- 16:22Speaker 1: time for you to say it. Right now. Let's just
- 16:25Speaker 1: say it. Come on, clear the air, and let's let's
- 16:27Speaker 1: do this repeat after me, I was the better QB
- 16:30Speaker 1: than Peyton, and my career would have been better if
- 16:34Speaker 1: my coaches and teammates would have to shut the hell
- 16:36Speaker 1: up and let me be. Me go say that I
- 16:41Speaker 1: was the better quarterback than Peyton. Uh and uh. If
- 16:46Speaker 1: I would have gone to another team and let the
- 16:48Speaker 1: coach and the coaches would have let me be whoever
- 16:51Speaker 1: the hell I wanted to be, I would be the
- 16:53Speaker 1: one going into the Hall of Fame this year. Is that, Ernest?
- 17:00Speaker 1: That's well, guess what? Yeah, you're full of ship all right,
- 17:07Speaker 1: you're also full of off the shop because guess what,
- 17:11Speaker 1: Ryan Leaf, you better make like a leaf and leave. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 1: time to show the show. Good bye. What a bunch
- 17:23Speaker 1: of idiots? Hang up the phone? Is he up the line?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Already everywhere you hang up, you know, Tony, I gotta
- 17:31Speaker 1: say after that, I can kind of see why your
- 17:34Speaker 1: teams moved off him. You know what I'm saying. Ryan
- 17:36Speaker 1: Leaf just went number two on this interview. Good one. Anyway,
- 17:42Speaker 1: you know, we can't let that get to us because,
- 17:44Speaker 1: as always, we have big business to do. At this
- 17:46Speaker 1: point in the show, another major sponsor lining up for
- 17:50Speaker 1: this spot right here that we sold. So right now
- 17:53Speaker 1: we're gonna do an ad for a big name in
- 17:56Speaker 1: the world of body building and personal development g n C. People.
