- 0:33other people who are gathering right now.
- 0:35That's right, all of us come together each day in this
- 0:39community. Although we can't see each
- 0:40other, we can't give each other a slap on the back and say good
- 0:43on you buddy. We can gather around knowing
- 0:46that we gather with friends, with friends.
- 0:50Well, a lot around here in my part of the world, but also
- 0:53spread all across the globe. Wherever you are friends, you
- 0:56are most welcome. And I am so grateful that you
- 0:59choose to come here each day and use this as a way that you can
- 1:04connect with your God who is just so delighted that you make
- 1:07that choice. And today we will read a Psalm,
- 1:11a Psalm of praise, not just any old praise, but particularly
- 1:15every part of God's creation calling out or being urged to
- 1:19call out in praise of their Creator.
- 1:22So here we are, little people in a very big world, all created by
- 1:27our amazing God as we are going to praise Him in this Psalm of
- 1:31praise, Psalm 148. Praise the Lord.
- 1:46Praise the Lord from the heavens.
- 1:49Praise the Lord from the skies. Praise Him all his angels,
- 1:54Praise Him all the armies of heaven.
- 1:58Praise Him, sun and moon. Praise him.
- 2:02All you twinkling stars. Praise him skies above.
- 2:07Praise Him vapours high above the clouds.
- 2:11Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for He
- 2:16issued His command and they came into being.
- 2:20He set them in place forever and ever.
- 2:23His decree will never be revoked.
- 2:26Praise the Lord from the earth, you creatures of the ocean
- 2:30depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that
- 2:36obey Him. Mountains and all hills, fruit
- 2:40trees and all Cedars, wild animals and all livestock, small
- 2:46scurrying animals and birds. Kings of the earth and all
- 2:51people, rulers and judges of the earth, Young men and young
- 2:57women, old men and children, let them all praise the name of the
- 3:03Lord, for His name is very great.
- 3:06His glory towers over the earth and heaven.
- 3:11He has made His people strong, honouring His faithful ones.
- 3:16The people of Israel who are close to Him, praise the Lord.
- 3:32You are indeed worthy of all our praise.
- 3:36It's easy for us to forget that every single thing we have ever
- 3:40seen or experienced or dreamt of is your creation, our mighty
- 3:46Creator God. You have forged those gorgeous
- 3:50valleys that we look over as the sunsets.
- 3:53You have forged the beautiful blue or grey or black or
- 3:58iridescent sky above us. You've forged all the creatures
- 4:03that we ever encounter and every beautiful thing that we behold.
- 4:09But most importantly, you have made us as your prized
- 4:13possession that your heart most desires to know you.
- 4:19Ah, thank you, our incredible Creator God, for all that you
- 4:25are, all that you've created, and all your love for us and
- 4:30your creation. We worship you, we praise you
- 4:34because you are so worthy of so much more than all of our
- 4:39praise. And we do all of this.
- 4:42And the saving wonderful name of Jesus.
- 4:45Amen.
