- 0:02Speaker 1: Your own live recorder, my dig.
- 0:06Speaker 2: My own live with wine.
- 0:09Speaker 3: It helps you lout desor helps me empty my mind.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Making it record.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Now you're supposed to do the intro.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Ok look I hit about three to one. Here I go,
- 0:30Speaker 2: Here I go, guys A, Hello everyone, and welcome to
- 0:38Speaker 2: Arkan's Corner. I'm Drascore kicking off the show and we
- 0:43Speaker 2: have with us today working on his seventh post doc
- 0:49Speaker 2: of the year Doctor Sheep say Hello, Doctor Sheep, Hello, excellent,
- 0:56Speaker 2: and he's not going to issue a hall pass until
- 0:59Speaker 2: you've a sure math assignment.
- 1:01Speaker 3: E Walk Junior, Hello, keyboard community, Glad to be with you, sad.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Core, sad Court. There you go. But no, I'm not
- 1:11Speaker 2: sad today, although I guess I'm a little sad because
- 1:15Speaker 2: no Wookie. Wookie.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he's on location in Minnesota and he has left us,
- 1:23Speaker 3: and we're really looking forward to this top five slash
- 1:26Speaker 3: Complaining nine. Yeah, and we did add to it Wookie
- 1:30Speaker 3: while you're gone, So there you go. But we figured
- 1:35Speaker 3: probably he might be sad if we left him out.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I think he would be very upset if we recorded
- 1:40Speaker 2: a full complain episode and he wasn't able to complain
- 1:45Speaker 2: on it. I think he'd be. I'm distraught.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I mean, I do think that it's his superhero power
- 1:51Speaker 3: to be able to complain, so we should probably include him.
- 1:54Speaker 2: All right, yeah, all right.
- 1:59Speaker 3: For you, Bud, a man of such with so many
- 2:02Speaker 3: words their sheep, do you wish I had the bop Bob.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I need to get these actions going. We were playing
- 2:10Speaker 3: with some sound bits ahead of time, and.
- 2:12Speaker 4: You were playing with some sound bits.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Drazz, you were also in this, Okay.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I was, but I am very happy that there are
- 2:20Speaker 2: no soundboards directly in this channel for all of our listeners. Years.
- 2:27Speaker 2: But uh, we've got We've got a br update. So
- 2:34Speaker 2: exciting news. Sheep dazcr are in the playoffs, took the
- 2:40Speaker 2: top the top seat and going up against what are
- 2:44Speaker 2: the other teams of the playoffs?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Sheep?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Do you know? Actually I don't even check.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Don't put me on the spot like that.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 2:54Speaker 2: All I care about is my team and we are
- 2:57Speaker 2: in first place for now, which is awesome. So I
- 3:01Speaker 2: mean this, this is what hungry hippogriffs, yeah are.
- 3:07Speaker 3: One of the strategies is just don't worry about anyone else,
- 3:10Speaker 3: be the meta. You just worry about your teams and
- 3:13Speaker 3: say we.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Got this exactly exactly. Some people are like, yeah, yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 2: we've got Hungry Hippogriffs in second place. Congratulations. We've got
- 3:23Speaker 2: the Wrecking Thralls in third place, and then in fourth
- 3:28Speaker 2: place Redline Aviation. So got some uh some great players
- 3:35Speaker 2: on all those teams, so it'll be it'll be an exciting,
- 3:39Speaker 2: exciting set of playoffs. We've got all the you know,
- 3:42Speaker 2: expected formats. I guess just let's see here, so I'll
- 3:47Speaker 2: run through them real quick. ARCon of course, Alliance yep, yep,
- 3:50Speaker 2: dealed both Alliance and Solo or true. You've got Triad Adaptive.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Then you've got the sixty SaaS cap. Okay, you've got
- 4:01Speaker 2: an eighty SaaS floor reversal, which some people are excited about.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I don't know if I would be into that, but there,
- 4:09Speaker 2: it's got enough excitement going on. There's an Amber Skies
- 4:15Speaker 2: only Arcan and then we've got Tridaptive. So tri Adaptive
- 4:22Speaker 2: is Triad, but you're playing at best of one adaptive
- 4:28Speaker 2: each time, so it's it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: You know, it's two different best of one adaptive games.
- 4:37Speaker 4: It was not for me.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah, as a change it up jank thing. I thought
- 4:46Speaker 2: it was interesting a.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Single game of best one of adaptive is all all
- 4:52Speaker 4: sheep can tolerate stomach. Yeah, and I almost got stuck
- 4:58Speaker 4: with regular adaptive by no picking a format for the finals.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Oh that would have been like a she that sounds like,
- 5:08Speaker 4: I guess we're just losing one round. Offer as captain,
- 5:15Speaker 4: I offered hate anybody wants to switch, go ahead, and
- 5:19Speaker 4: we would have been switching had somehow they you guys
- 5:22Speaker 4: thought you were gonna stick me with adaptive because that
- 5:24Speaker 4: was my That's like my only rule coming into an
- 5:27Speaker 4: AVR thing is like, you cannot put me on adaptive.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I did see you posted, but nobody wants to play
- 5:34Speaker 2: adoptive the season. Yeah. And of course the sloppy guys
- 5:41Speaker 2: were raising their heads like, oh yeah, because they're they're
- 5:45Speaker 2: all the sloppy lab work guys are on the same team,
- 5:47Speaker 2: so of course they're all.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Did we not just beat that team in try adaptive week?
- 5:51Speaker 2: We did?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Yeah? We did, Yeah we did. There you go, hell yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I was not part of the winning side here. I got.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I got adapted. It was it was awful.
- 6:05Speaker 2: It was very close. It was very close, but we
- 6:06Speaker 2: did manage manage to take it down and lock ourselves
- 6:10Speaker 2: in first place, so pretty.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Cool, well drafted boss.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you hear nothing more about ABR the
- 6:18Speaker 2: next since we got to absolutely destroyed to the playoffs,
- 6:22Speaker 2: we'll have to talk at ourselves up so hard.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Well, then we will become the choke core.
- 6:31Speaker 2: There you go. Yep, yep, yep, yep. We've also got
- 6:37Speaker 2: as of this recording, it is not this weekend but
- 6:41Speaker 2: next weekend, So the first weekend of February, we've got
- 6:44Speaker 2: Necho uh. And that's not the Wafer, that's the Northeast
- 6:49Speaker 2: key Forge open and so it's taking place not terribly
- 6:54Speaker 2: far from where I am in the Philadelphia suburbs, although
- 6:58Speaker 2: the far suburbs, and so there's still an opportunity to
- 7:01Speaker 2: get some yourself. Some tickets show up. We've got events
- 7:05Speaker 2: on Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be a great time.
- 7:08Speaker 2: A bunch of folks coming in already and we'll lake
- 7:12Speaker 2: Forge during the day. I've got a few spots picked
- 7:17Speaker 2: out for us to tip some cows in the evening
- 7:20Speaker 2: and it'll be it'll be a great experience. It'll be
- 7:23Speaker 2: good time. Come on down.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Will you be writing up a review of comparative cow tipping?
- 7:31Speaker 4: Between there and Chicago.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's a good, good idea. I'll all
- 7:39Speaker 2: compare and contrast the spotted bovine to the solid heifer's.
- 7:49Speaker 3: It was always the interesting topics that we have here.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Man, all right, who put it?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Who put it?
- 7:56Speaker 3: Why?
- 7:56Speaker 2: It's like a key forge? Who's doing that?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Well? So we do have some actual keyboardge and cheap
- 8:01Speaker 3: and I played this week. It was actually a really
- 8:04Speaker 3: nice group. We had four friends come out to our locals.
- 8:06Speaker 3: It was very very cold. Actually, schools were shut down
- 8:09Speaker 3: in Wisconsin because of that polar vortex that swung by,
- 8:12Speaker 3: but it didn't stop us from playing some keyboard. But
- 8:15Speaker 3: I have this week's uh why suck at keyboard? So
- 8:18Speaker 3: after going ahead and taking two games, I faced Sheep,
- 8:23Speaker 3: who had gone oh two and O two. That's right,
- 8:30Speaker 3: resoundingly oh two. But both of us are playing some beautiful,
- 8:34Speaker 3: beautiful amber skies, and I call about middle age of
- 8:39Speaker 3: the game. I go ahead and play as ra pause,
- 8:45Speaker 3: So play after we reveal your opponent's hand draw card.
- 8:48Speaker 3: So I look at Sheep's hand. I happened to hit
- 8:51Speaker 3: be at five amber. I was planning on destroying the
- 8:55Speaker 3: creature that had been absorbing my Amber on the other side.
- 8:59Speaker 3: There was three of it there, and I see that
- 9:03Speaker 3: Sheep had a redline rotation and he had some other cards,
- 9:11Speaker 3: that being the important part. And uh so my only
- 9:16Speaker 3: c in my sweet amber Sky's deck is a neutron shark.
- 9:20Speaker 3: I've built up some nice warded creatures on my Skyborne,
- 9:24Speaker 3: and I proceed to go ahead and pop those wards.
- 9:28Speaker 3: And then Sheep laughs maniacally, go ahead and cheap. You
- 9:33Speaker 3: got the god you did. You did have a little
- 9:36Speaker 3: little schoolgirl giggle because because he had been like freaking
- 9:42Speaker 3: out because he also had amber Sky's and had no
- 9:44Speaker 3: way to go ahead and really get around my wards.
- 9:48Speaker 3: And the card that I missed was de escalation. Yes,
- 9:54Speaker 3: And so after I went ahead and popped all of
- 9:58Speaker 3: my sweet wards and had some nice captured amber on it,
- 10:02Speaker 3: his problem went away. So you know, reading cards is important,
- 10:06Speaker 3: just a polite reminder to go ahead and do that,
- 10:08Speaker 3: but also to pay attention when you actually can see
- 10:11Speaker 3: your opponent's whole hand, even if it's casual, actually pay
- 10:16Speaker 3: attention to all of them.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I read them.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I still think that you pocketed. I don't know where
- 10:20Speaker 3: that came from, but uh that one got me real good.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Being that I've been holding it since turn two because.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I had I had it's the only C that we had.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the only scene in my deck. And game two,
- 10:33Speaker 4: I had it in my opening hand and just had
- 10:35Speaker 4: to discard it and then and I was playing against
- 10:38Speaker 4: a TOC deck and he purged it, so I had
- 10:41Speaker 4: no CE after that, you know, like I was holding
- 10:46Speaker 4: that card. Plus, like we were talking about, is Ewok
- 10:49Speaker 4: was blessed with one of the good ways you can
- 10:52Speaker 4: land in enhancement, which is on an artifact, so he
- 10:54Speaker 4: had an enhanced hologram of Phone into his Skyborn. So
- 10:58Speaker 4: he kept playing Skyboard dudes and warden Skyborn dudes, and
- 11:04Speaker 4: then kept playing Skyborne dudes and warding Skyboard dudes. And
- 11:09Speaker 4: then he had one of those chinooks or whatever, the
- 11:12Speaker 4: guy who makes the flank creatures taunt and plus armor.
- 11:16Speaker 4: So he's got taunts, he's got wards. And I was
- 11:22Speaker 4: doing well because I had the guy who exalted flank
- 11:25Speaker 4: creatures with amber, so I was building up ambers guys,
- 11:28Speaker 4: but there was just no way for me to kill
- 11:29Speaker 4: them because he had armor and wards and I had,
- 11:34Speaker 4: you know, kind of crappy guys. It was tough and
- 11:38Speaker 4: I was like trying to for out of places de escalation.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I was holding it and then he kept playing creatures
- 11:42Speaker 4: and warning them, and I'm like, on this de escalation
- 11:45Speaker 4: hold was a bad choice. I should have just discarded it.
- 11:48Speaker 4: And then he played right into me and I codswalloped
- 11:53Speaker 4: him and it was It's great. So then he made
- 11:56Speaker 4: me play again and it turns out I whooped him again.
- 12:01Speaker 4: So my deck was just was was well suited for
- 12:05Speaker 4: beating up on.
- 12:06Speaker 3: His deck, and by well suited, if you drop four
- 12:10Speaker 3: creatures of a house and you don't have a response
- 12:14Speaker 3: for that on the other side, that is a problem,
- 12:17Speaker 3: a really really big problem.
- 12:19Speaker 4: But it got beat by two not good talk decks.
- 12:24Speaker 3: So yeah, they don't generate.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Were they both talks or was one of woke one?
- 12:32Speaker 3: Was one was a woe deck and was deck?
- 12:35Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's like, and my deck, my amber Sky's
- 12:39Speaker 4: deck had the kind of stuff you want. I had
- 12:40Speaker 4: Time Traveler, I had the Nautilus, you know, I had
- 12:47Speaker 4: good cards and logos, and then I had double red
- 12:50Speaker 4: line rotation. So I'm like, oh, this it was awful.
- 12:53Speaker 4: It was just an awful deck because it didn't have
- 12:56Speaker 4: any ways to make the red lines really trigger and yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 4: it's it feels like playing AOA sometimes if you don't
- 13:07Speaker 4: get the broken stuff, it feels like play typical AOA
- 13:11Speaker 4: open decks. You either have no amber control or no
- 13:14Speaker 4: creature control or maybe neither, and a bunch of creatures
- 13:19Speaker 4: in Skyborne that don't do anything because that's Skyborne.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And I'll say, I feel like the big boys in
- 13:27Speaker 2: Skyborne in a sealed environment can can do better and
- 13:31Speaker 2: can do more than something, just like the random stuff
- 13:35Speaker 2: in AOA.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I don't know. Typical brob Narn Sanctum was pretty pointless.
- 13:42Speaker 4: It was, but so is Skyborne.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but there's less stuff and there's less you know.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I you know that the Chandler you mentioned that was
- 13:52Speaker 2: a pretty good guard for sealed Yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 3: No, Chandler and Nook is creature serious merchant three power
- 13:58Speaker 3: each friendly flank creature gets plus two armor in games
- 14:00Speaker 3: taut No, that was solid, but look at this this deck.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Now you often get three and then you're like a sucks.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Suck, all right.
- 14:14Speaker 3: So so Sheep and I did have aquadon logos in Skywine.
- 14:17Speaker 3: We're both playing the sam houses there. My deck was
- 14:20Speaker 3: really just about amber pips. I had nineteen pips and
- 14:24Speaker 3: twelve of those coming in Equaedon, but both games apparently
- 14:27Speaker 3: Equadon just doesn't want to show up against him, and
- 14:30Speaker 3: that's that's fine, He'll just play creatures. But these, these
- 14:33Speaker 3: are the creatures that I saw in Skyborne Rating Party. Okay,
- 14:37Speaker 3: I like it. I'm good with this, Double Indigo, Haylard, Okay,
- 14:42Speaker 3: five Power, not great yet, Flip Stellard, Chandler, Bucks, Bastion,
- 14:51Speaker 3: Boston Green. Like, it's just when you look at that
- 14:55Speaker 3: as your is your creatures. There are too many cards
- 14:59Speaker 3: at this points in the game that do a lot
- 15:02Speaker 3: more more value. And that's the thing is, there's just
- 15:06Speaker 3: so much more value than what those creatures are giving. Sure, sure,
- 15:11Speaker 3: I mean in Seal, there's something you can play with.
- 15:13Speaker 3: There was fun lines to be able to take. Actually,
- 15:15Speaker 3: I thought Sheep's deck had some nice lines. Mine was
- 15:19Speaker 3: here for the most part, pretty straightforward, but it was fun.
- 15:23Speaker 3: But definitely read your cards because if you don't, that's
- 15:27Speaker 3: why I suck at keyboard.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Just put your eyeballs on what the card is? I
- 15:31Speaker 2: guess right? No, like I kid you not?
- 15:34Speaker 3: Well, yes, I saw the red line rotation, immediately saw that,
- 15:37Speaker 3: but I actually read each of the other cards, and
- 15:39Speaker 3: I did not in my head, I did not see
- 15:42Speaker 3: de escalation there at all. And I'm like, all right,
- 15:44Speaker 3: we're both limited on sea. Yeah, let's pop this because
- 15:47Speaker 3: I need. The other part that went into this I
- 15:51Speaker 3: will say is I was trying to handcraft three turns
- 15:55Speaker 3: in a row. I had Skyborne, and I was trying
- 15:58Speaker 3: to get out of two two two, I'd two and
- 16:01Speaker 3: then I draw back too.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I don't know why he's complaining about that, because he
- 16:05Speaker 4: played creatures, warded them, reaped with them, and then went
- 16:08Speaker 4: back and went, oh, I guess I'll just reput these
- 16:10Speaker 4: guys again, play more creatures and ward more creatures, and
- 16:13Speaker 4: I'm like over their story, and I'm like, would you
- 16:15Speaker 4: do something else besides draw more Skyborne. I think he
- 16:20Speaker 4: had a great draw and he just didn't know how
- 16:22Speaker 4: to use.
- 16:22Speaker 3: It mostly most definitely twice, not once, but twice. No,
- 16:29Speaker 3: but like when you're looking at it, just to be
- 16:31Speaker 3: able to see. I was trying to draw out because
- 16:33Speaker 3: my other two houses were the stronger houses. Skyborne. Skyborne
- 16:38Speaker 3: came in at amasly twenty on this deck. First the Equodon,
- 16:42Speaker 3: which was at thirty in the logus at twenty seven.
- 16:44Speaker 3: So like afterwards, you look at it and you're like, no,
- 16:46Speaker 3: I don't want to be in Skyborne. I'm trying to
- 16:48Speaker 3: get out of Skyborne. But sheep, I also know that
- 16:51Speaker 3: I don't have any c outside of that amazing neutron shark,
- 16:55Speaker 3: which frankly could stop almost immediately, and so looking at it,
- 17:00Speaker 3: it's like, Okay, I need to be able to get
- 17:02Speaker 3: out of this house. I'm getting outboarded. And that was
- 17:05Speaker 3: the problem. If I got out boarded, I knew I
- 17:08Speaker 3: was in trouble. In both games, you were dropping creatures
- 17:11Speaker 3: pretty quickly, and uh, with no way to get rid
- 17:13Speaker 3: of it. That was a problem.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I just pulled up my back. It is my high
- 17:18Speaker 4: astsass amber Skysdack and still junk. It only has it
- 17:24Speaker 4: only has sixteen creatures.
- 17:28Speaker 3: So both games, when it had sixteen creatures, you kept
- 17:31Speaker 3: dropping four at a time. That's funny. Draw better, I
- 17:36Speaker 3: do believe a podcast, and it had.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Some high quality cards like Quantum finger Trap, so that's
- 17:44Speaker 4: a good one. And then scrap scroungers with no artifacts
- 17:49Speaker 4: you'd ever want.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Back as a great Yeah.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But anyway, have you played this past week mister?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, we we did play at the store
- 18:05Speaker 2: and had had a good old time. I was setting up.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I actually I took the buy for myself the one
- 18:16Speaker 2: round so I could go and make sure we had
- 18:18Speaker 2: our store Championships date set up properly with the guy
- 18:22Speaker 2: who runs the store, Carl, And so now we got
- 18:26Speaker 2: those locked and loaded in. They're available out there on
- 18:31Speaker 2: Ghost Galaxies website for the games keep in Westchester, PA.
- 18:36Speaker 2: We've got all three formats that we're going to do,
- 18:41Speaker 2: although sort of I guess we're sort of doing Alliance,
- 18:44Speaker 2: but we're we're kind of doing something something weird. So
- 18:49Speaker 2: what we're gonna do for Alliance is, uh, well it's
- 18:54Speaker 2: going to be sealed and you have to buy one
- 18:58Speaker 2: Talk deck and one Winds of Exchange deck and you
- 19:03Speaker 2: must use at least one pod from each and then
- 19:06Speaker 2: you get a bunch of token gen and I think
- 19:09Speaker 2: it'll be fun, and uh, we're just gonna do it
- 19:12Speaker 2: the store champs because why the hell not. And it's
- 19:15Speaker 2: gonna be you know, I think it'll be actually a
- 19:17Speaker 2: reason to be like, Okay, fine, I'll do some Alliance.
- 19:20Speaker 2: So so there that's what we're doing. Yeah, you guys
- 19:27Speaker 2: think fun? That sounds good.
- 19:30Speaker 4: To be like, oh, that redheaded step child is an alliance.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I always like my tokens, so whether that's whens of
- 19:42Speaker 3: Exchange or talk, I enjoy both of the sets. So
- 19:45Speaker 3: I'm always up for planes.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Okay, So you know how the Southeast is constantly complaining
- 19:51Speaker 4: that they don't get vault tours. Yes, So looking at
- 19:54Speaker 4: the store championship map, there's one in South Carolina, which
- 19:59Speaker 4: is self east, right, Well, we'll call it the Southeast.
- 20:02Speaker 4: And then the next one is Nashville, Tennessee, which is
- 20:06Speaker 4: not the South or the east really right, or it's like,
- 20:09Speaker 4: you know, the top of the South. I don't know,
- 20:11Speaker 4: you want to figure it, but top of the South. Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 4: and then that's it. There is nothing in Georgia, nothing
- 20:18Speaker 4: in Florida, nothing in Alabama, nothing in North Carolina. So
- 20:23Speaker 4: that's why there's no vault tours down there. You can't
- 20:25Speaker 4: even run store championships. Got a got a beat up
- 20:29Speaker 4: on your stores harder.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I hear that. But under that assumption there's nothing
- 20:38Speaker 3: in Oregon. You have one in Seattle. Yeah, we got
- 20:44Speaker 3: careful there. I mean the.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Baltimore store hasn't put in there as yet.
- 20:48Speaker 3: You know, our local store in southeastern Wisconsin hasn't, so
- 20:56Speaker 3: Janesville has theirs.
- 20:59Speaker 4: This ow's yours. You made me contact them for the
- 21:03Speaker 4: Amber Skies, so you've got to contact them for store championships.
- 21:14Speaker 3: No, but I do think it is interesting where Storre champs.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Maybe we'll have to take another photo of this once
- 21:19Speaker 3: all of them are updated. And so I guess maybe
- 21:22Speaker 3: that's the plea, go ahead and put in your store Champs.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Talk to your locals and dry Score talk to your
- 21:29Speaker 3: store so your store can put it in, right.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was super weird on the forum. It
- 21:36Speaker 2: is a delegate. I'm like, what what are you looking
- 21:38Speaker 2: at my IP address? Come on, Josh, it'll be fine
- 21:46Speaker 2: store hudder. He's good. So but yeah, we got it
- 21:52Speaker 2: in and I actually did force my store arner to
- 21:55Speaker 2: do it, but I did think it was weird that
- 21:58Speaker 2: it was in such strongguiche. So but yep, we've got
- 22:06Speaker 2: let's see what do we have? Sealed is February twenty third,
- 22:10Speaker 2: ar Con Thursday, February twenty seventh, Alliance Sunday, March twenty third. Oh,
- 22:17Speaker 2: should be good.
- 22:18Speaker 3: It is something exciting to be able to look at
- 22:20Speaker 3: to get back into the stores and to be playing.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I know that we go out every week and it's
- 22:24Speaker 3: something I look forward to. But if you haven't, definitely
- 22:27Speaker 3: get back to your locals. Spread the word. Speaking of
- 22:30Speaker 3: we have a new set that's coming out next week.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Boys, do we uh huh oh yeah, yeah, well yeah,
- 22:41Speaker 2: Discovery our audience, Yeah, go ahead, Yeah, So Discovery is
- 22:45Speaker 2: Theory coming next week and we'll see what's in it.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It might be amazing, it might be terrible. Either way,
- 22:56Speaker 2: Hopefully maybe somehow we'll get some players.
- 23:03Speaker 3: That's that's the goal. We want to be able to
- 23:04Speaker 3: draw in some new players. I'm going to hold back
- 23:07Speaker 3: my thoughts at this point because I just don't know.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I don't think there's enough information about it. It it
- 23:13Speaker 3: is what it is at this point.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I I do want to do something, I just
- 23:19Speaker 2: don't I don't yet know what I'm going to try
- 23:25Speaker 2: and how I'm actually going to try to get new
- 23:26Speaker 2: players and not just have it be all of us
- 23:28Speaker 2: be like, well, we're trying to Discovery, which we will,
- 23:31Speaker 2: but I don't know, trying to figure out how to
- 23:35Speaker 2: run some sort of song.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Well, on that note, my my store did receive an
- 23:40Speaker 4: email from our Asthma day rep that Discovery is coming out,
- 23:46Speaker 4: and there was a questionnaire that came with it, ask
- 23:49Speaker 4: him about if you're carrying key Forge, what what do
- 23:53Speaker 4: you need to carry key Forge again? And some questions
- 23:57Speaker 4: like that. So there's I'm sort of push but that is,
- 24:01Speaker 4: you know, from Asthmad, a distribution.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Which in some ways is oppressive. I'm even convinced to
- 24:10Speaker 2: do that.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm like trying to say, how do I
- 24:13Speaker 4: respond to it? From Kryptonite where I'm like, yeah, but
- 24:16Speaker 4: we ordered direct So yeah, I want to talk to you.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I appreciate that there's a step in the right direction
- 24:25Speaker 3: and that's what's needed. Hey, if you aren't going ahead
- 24:28Speaker 3: and presently running key Forge, what would get you enticed?
- 24:31Speaker 3: If not? You know what else can we help you with?
- 24:34Speaker 3: It's better than nothing, boys, it's better than nothing.
- 24:36Speaker 4: It is definitely something, all right? So what is my
- 24:43Speaker 4: answer to them though? On what what do we need
- 24:47Speaker 4: to make key Forge more successful?
- 24:51Speaker 5: Oh?
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's my answer, and it's not in
- 24:54Speaker 4: store promotional materials.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Take a Super Bowl spot? What do you think?
- 25:03Speaker 3: I'm still saying that we put it in Happy Meals.
- 25:05Speaker 3: The ninety Happy Meals is coming back right now. I
- 25:08Speaker 3: saw that Pokemon was being put in, why not let's
- 25:10Speaker 3: put keyboards.
- 25:11Speaker 4: There's too much age restriction stuff going on now for
- 25:13Speaker 4: our original advertising plan.
- 25:16Speaker 2: So well, you can't put you can't put it in viag,
- 25:19Speaker 2: you can't put bp A and the Happy Meal anymore.
- 25:24Speaker 3: What what wasn't our key forge that we're putting it
- 25:26Speaker 3: with Viagra because that's our demographic has hams okay.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Because they are definitely spending now the advertising dollars.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 25:39Speaker 3: No, outside of advertising, I don't know. It's we need
- 25:43Speaker 3: to be able to get store employees aware that the
- 25:46Speaker 3: game exists and to be able to play. So no,
- 25:51Speaker 3: I think advertising is going to be my top priority.
- 25:54Speaker 3: And then that also means on the backside, when we
- 25:58Speaker 3: have these amazing vaults, we have them announ's, we have
- 26:00Speaker 3: things that we're looking forward to, then getting that information
- 26:05Speaker 3: out to the broader community that would be within driving
- 26:08Speaker 3: distance of the vaults, and making sure that afterwards that
- 26:15Speaker 3: there's that information gets back out so there's publicity that's shown,
- 26:20Speaker 3: whether that's in YouTube or elsewhere. Again, going ahead and linking.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Through BGG YouTube doesn't reach it reaches the people who
- 26:30Speaker 4: are already buying into it, right, it's not it's not advertising.
- 26:36Speaker 3: No, it is. It is not advertising. But that's why
- 26:38Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, so if we're looking at BGG like
- 26:43Speaker 3: that potentially target some of your board gamers going ahead
- 26:46Speaker 3: and getting into some of your cons, some of your
- 26:50Speaker 3: small inside. There's just so many different games that are
- 26:54Speaker 3: coming out. Got to be able to have a way
- 26:59Speaker 3: to have impacting the show that you have a great
- 27:01Speaker 3: player base and you have these amazing events that are
- 27:03Speaker 3: being rought. It's a real it's a real dilemma. I'll
- 27:07Speaker 3: say that.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Mm hmm. All right, So we thought for our main
- 27:16Speaker 2: topic today what we should do h since you know,
- 27:20Speaker 2: if we if we talked about the original topic, we'll
- 27:22Speaker 2: keep you complaining. But there's a lot of spoilers that
- 27:26Speaker 2: came out recently from all these different podcasts and various
- 27:31Speaker 2: content providers, so uh, you know, hopefully you listen to
- 27:35Speaker 2: and watch a bunch of them. But we thought we'd
- 27:38Speaker 2: give our opinion on those various cards and uh just
- 27:44Speaker 2: go through them, tell you, tell you what you think,
- 27:46Speaker 2: what we think. So we're gonna skip stuff that we've
- 27:49Speaker 2: talked about before in the cast, and uh, just just
- 27:53Speaker 2: rock and roll, do some quick hits a lot to
- 27:56Speaker 2: sort of. I don't know gas as to which ones
- 27:59Speaker 2: we have it or have it talked about. Uh so
- 28:02Speaker 2: I got arcan Arkana open, gentlemen, you guys have it
- 28:06Speaker 2: open as well.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yep, and thank you to arkan Arkana for being able
- 28:09Speaker 3: to compile those spoilers. We will say that if you
- 28:12Speaker 3: go ahead and put exclude reprints, it does bug your system,
- 28:16Speaker 3: so you may want to look at that, but hey,
- 28:18Speaker 3: we appreciate it's all here helping us to make our
- 28:21Speaker 3: job easier.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Oh so, I think I think the first one we
- 28:24Speaker 2: haven't talked about is outlook not so good? Does that
- 28:28Speaker 2: sound right to you guys?
- 28:29Speaker 3: Yeah? So the first uh seven cards look like their
- 28:32Speaker 3: prophecies or and that is what I had seen, So
- 28:35Speaker 3: expect the unexpected PHAs after your opponent shuffles their discard
- 28:39Speaker 3: pile into their deck during their turn fulfilled, expect the
- 28:43Speaker 3: unexpected This one really? Yeah, that one has been out
- 28:47Speaker 3: for a while. The second one forge ahead with confidence.
- 28:50Speaker 4: We're not I thought we were skipping all the cards.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I was trying to go down good.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Draft bards in charge.
- 29:01Speaker 2: That's a temerity walk, got it.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I'll be standing with the Dun's cap on over here.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yes, we'll see you detention later out looked not so good.
- 29:11Speaker 2: A prophecy. It's got a cool ship with lightning Art's
- 29:14Speaker 2: pretty cool after your opponent chooses an art an active
- 29:18Speaker 2: house that matches no cards in play fulfill outlook not
- 29:23Speaker 2: so good. What do you guys think of this.
- 29:25Speaker 4: One that's short of artifacts, that's like a guaranteed to
- 29:30Speaker 4: be resolved at some point kind of card. I'm not
- 29:34Speaker 4: guaranteed for certain, but that's not a highly likely one
- 29:38Speaker 4: to be completed. Yeah, this is a more than once
- 29:43Speaker 4: per game. Yeah, that's what I'm looking at. Has a
- 29:46Speaker 4: high probability. I think that it should be firing consistently
- 29:49Speaker 4: early on, which is really nice. Mid to late game
- 29:54Speaker 4: it con potentially said if artifacts are out, then it
- 29:59Speaker 4: really has a printed but outside of that, board wipes
- 30:01Speaker 4: will also go out and trigger it.
- 30:03Speaker 3: So I like this. You're gonna get multiple.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Of set right because or stronger offset and if you
- 30:13Speaker 4: want it to trigger as you're less likely to have
- 30:16Speaker 4: house overlap.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah yes, and uh, you know you can tie your
- 30:22Speaker 2: board clears to try to trigger this, so it's got
- 30:24Speaker 2: some flexibility. So I I like the design on this.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I'm good with it. I mean, compared to what we
- 30:31Speaker 3: had seen for ours go forth and conquer so fighting,
- 30:34Speaker 3: I still think that can happen quite a bit. So
- 30:36Speaker 3: it's kind of in that tier. And it is definitely
- 30:40Speaker 3: above like expect unexpected, where you're shuffling your discard Pilon,
- 30:45Speaker 3: that's not going to happen nearly as much. So I like.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I like this when it can happen consistently. That's's what
- 30:50Speaker 3: I want to be seeing, all right.
- 30:53Speaker 2: The next one stars aligned. It's also a prophecy love
- 30:59Speaker 2: the r will circle star moon situation at the start
- 31:04Speaker 2: of your opponent's turn. If each player has the same
- 31:06Speaker 2: number of creatures for phil stars aligned, do you think
- 31:13Speaker 2: about this will be forgotten? Mm hmm, will be missed.
- 31:19Speaker 2: It feels a lot harder to align these stars to
- 31:22Speaker 2: make this happen, right.
- 31:25Speaker 4: So this is what's interesting, actually that one's at the
- 31:27Speaker 4: start of your opponents so.
- 31:31Speaker 2: The creature to trigger this maybe, oh yeah.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Auly, Actually, I think this one's one of the easiest
- 31:37Speaker 4: ones to align.
- 31:40Speaker 3: No, you can notice the trigger of where it is, so, so.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Your your opponent reads us at the start of your turn.
- 31:47Speaker 4: So I end my turn with the same number of
- 31:50Speaker 4: creatures as you and it triggers.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Yes, So so in that case, yes, it's this one
- 31:55Speaker 3: is like.
- 31:55Speaker 4: You as the players have quite a bit of a
- 32:00Speaker 4: droll over. Unless you're just getting outboarded or you have
- 32:03Speaker 4: significantly outboarded them, then it can be there's.
- 32:06Speaker 3: A huge discrepancy. Then it's it's it's not going to
- 32:09Speaker 3: be hitting, but it should be should be fairly easy
- 32:12Speaker 3: to be able to pack.
- 32:13Speaker 4: But we also have yea many prophecy based cards where
- 32:18Speaker 4: it's like, oh my gosh, I have to have this
- 32:20Speaker 4: hit to win a few strong ones.
- 32:23Speaker 3: But uh, you don't. I don't know that. Well, we'll
- 32:27Speaker 3: talk about starl and what's there. Yeah, I don't know
- 32:30Speaker 3: about that comment, but okay, excellent.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I The cards will tell it's very meta. It's got
- 32:39Speaker 2: a dude playing cards and says it's prophecy.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Again.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Each time your opponent draws a card, place a prophecy
- 32:49Speaker 2: counter on this card. If there are ten or more
- 32:52Speaker 2: prophecy counters on the cards will tell they resolve each
- 32:56Speaker 2: fate effect under cards will tell.
- 33:02Speaker 4: That's too much tracking on this card. I don't like it.
- 33:06Speaker 2: There's a lot of words there, right, This one sounds good.
- 33:13Speaker 3: So what's interesting about this is again we haven't had
- 33:16Speaker 3: all the clarity on these prophecies, but forge ahead with
- 33:20Speaker 3: confidence and the cards will tell both ball under resolve
- 33:24Speaker 3: each fate effect, meaning that it sounds like there is
- 33:27Speaker 3: more than one that's interesting to me. So does that
- 33:32Speaker 3: mean I can go ahead and play multiples on it?
- 33:35Speaker 4: So wait, who's whose cards are counted?
- 33:38Speaker 3: For?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Cards will tell like it's it's.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Always, it's always your opponent. So so if I play this,
- 33:44Speaker 3: if I have it next to me, as soon as
- 33:47Speaker 3: you draw a card, you're gonna go ahead and put
- 33:49Speaker 3: a number on it. One to ten. Now, this is
- 33:53Speaker 3: going to go ahead and right now happens.
- 33:55Speaker 4: So this prophecy belongs to me.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Yes, all prophecies belong to you, but they're triggering off
- 34:02Speaker 3: of your effects. So when you draw, it's going to
- 34:06Speaker 3: go ahead and put a counter on it, which you
- 34:07Speaker 3: will draw at the end of your turn. So this
- 34:10Speaker 3: is going if you if you are really supposed to
- 34:14Speaker 3: fire on your turn. No, no, no, it's well, it's my
- 34:20Speaker 3: prophecy sheet, because this is where some people are getting
- 34:23Speaker 3: confused on this. It's my prophecy. I am placing a
- 34:26Speaker 3: card there. Yes, it triggers off of you. So as
- 34:29Speaker 3: you draw, it goes up to one. Then you draw
- 34:31Speaker 3: in it's two. As soon as you hit ten, it fires.
- 34:34Speaker 3: It's your turn after.
- 34:36Speaker 4: So after your opponent chooses.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Okay, well there are ways to make your opponent draw
- 34:44Speaker 2: during your turn.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Yeah okay, yeah, oh yeah, there definitely are, so yes,
- 34:50Speaker 4: you you this one could actually trigger off turn.
- 34:53Speaker 3: This one can actually trigger, but the idea is that
- 34:57Speaker 3: it's most likely not going to happen.
- 35:00Speaker 4: There are some like Wonky fact where you can make
- 35:03Speaker 4: your opponent's creature fight too. Is there? I thought there
- 35:08Speaker 4: was some convoluted bunch of junk.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't remember that, but again, this one.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Maybe that was a preview card that they fixed that.
- 35:17Speaker 3: I'm thinking about, what do you guys think about the
- 35:20Speaker 3: ten hits? And then you're fulfilling it too much?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Dat you got to bring your tens right, like you know,
- 35:26Speaker 2: I don't know, it's.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just it's too much extra fiddly junk. Fine,
- 35:34Speaker 4: and you're gonna miss weird draws that happened mid turn
- 35:37Speaker 4: and stuff.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so that it's just.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Too fiddly, and in a big tournament it gets missed
- 35:43Speaker 4: it could actually be meaningful, you know, and pointless.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Turn it when you know whatever. Still remember that it
- 35:51Speaker 2: is my legacy Maverick Tudor bid Rylo.
- 35:55Speaker 3: But but this is the thing. It is both players
- 35:58Speaker 3: responsibility to keep track of game state. I do think
- 36:01Speaker 3: that it's gonna get messed up and it's going to
- 36:03Speaker 3: be very very tricky to go back. WHOA, we have
- 36:06Speaker 3: to redo it to this point. No, like once you're
- 36:08Speaker 3: past that timing window, like you're gonna have to really
- 36:10Speaker 3: be on top of your game for prophetic visions. I
- 36:13Speaker 3: will say that. But I do like the idea of
- 36:16Speaker 3: ten actually here because between draws we're looking at roughly
- 36:20Speaker 3: three four turns. That's roughly from where I guesstimate that
- 36:25Speaker 3: it's going to go ahead and fire. If our average
- 36:29Speaker 3: amount of turns is six, you potentially get to fire
- 36:31Speaker 3: at twice. So that's interesting. If you're facing certain enhancements,
- 36:40Speaker 3: which enhancements have shown up more recently, then this could
- 36:44Speaker 3: be a lot quicker. So I'm okay with it. Do
- 36:49Speaker 3: we feel that it's going to fire more frequently than not?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Choosing an active house for outlook not so good or
- 36:57Speaker 3: stars aligned or is it about the same.
- 37:02Speaker 2: I no, really.
- 37:08Speaker 3: You can.
- 37:09Speaker 2: It's probably more ways to control outlook not so good
- 37:12Speaker 2: or stars aligned than cards will tell. Right. Some decks
- 37:18Speaker 2: just won't have ways to to manage how many cards
- 37:23Speaker 2: your opponent's drawing, but some will.
- 37:26Speaker 4: But generally we believe that they are. You're going to
- 37:31Speaker 4: want your prophecies to trigger, So this one's fine, right,
- 37:34Speaker 4: because it will trigger at some point. This is another
- 37:36Speaker 4: one where like, if your opponent is drawing zero cards,
- 37:39Speaker 4: you either have already won or already lost, right, Like,
- 37:44Speaker 4: it's generally one of those they already have their whole
- 37:47Speaker 4: deck in their hand and that's why they're not drying,
- 37:49Speaker 4: or they're buried in chains and can't move off cards
- 37:54Speaker 4: because they have to keep reaping with some pointless creature
- 37:56Speaker 4: to keep you off check. And you're slowly winning the
- 37:59Speaker 4: game likely anyways.
- 38:02Speaker 3: So again, I think the impact of the actual prophecies
- 38:08Speaker 3: what we're going ahead, sorry, the individual fates. How strong
- 38:12Speaker 3: those fates are consistently and how often the prophecies are
- 38:15Speaker 3: going to trigger is going to be the lynchpin for
- 38:18Speaker 3: this set. If you have it where it's happening when
- 38:22Speaker 3: you shuffle your discard pile. Not frequent enough if it
- 38:26Speaker 3: is when you're choosing the active house that doesn't match
- 38:30Speaker 3: potentially you know that's lining up, or when someone fights
- 38:34Speaker 3: or reaps. Those are things that should happen frequently. I
- 38:38Speaker 3: like that one is getting rid of extra cards because
- 38:41Speaker 3: I don't necessarily have to play a fate that's there.
- 38:45Speaker 3: I just have to put a card under it. That's
- 38:48Speaker 3: what had been shared. But I could also some of
- 38:50Speaker 3: these fates are really really good, So I think there's
- 38:53Speaker 3: going to be some great mind games. But I do
- 38:56Speaker 3: think that Lynchpin is going to be really important to
- 38:58Speaker 3: see how frequently they trigger, and then what value are
- 39:01Speaker 3: we getting in for our fates.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Yep, all right? The next one final prophecy on our
- 39:08Speaker 2: list here, treat each action as your last. After your
- 39:13Speaker 2: opponent plays two or more action cards during their turn,
- 39:16Speaker 2: they resolve each fate effect under treat each action as
- 39:20Speaker 2: your last. Find two actions. I mean, I feel like
- 39:24Speaker 2: I do that pretty often.
- 39:26Speaker 4: This is like, uh yeah, this one's a super early.
- 39:34Speaker 4: This isn't a legit one right now, you'd now end
- 39:38Speaker 4: up downlighting because one there's only gonna be one fate
- 39:41Speaker 4: effect under the cards. Now the staggy multiple fates went
- 39:46Speaker 4: away this is a this is an early preview, so
- 39:49Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure this is going to be rewarded. It
- 39:51Speaker 4: might state where it is your opponent and fulfill this
- 39:54Speaker 4: fate effect. That might be all it changes, but your
- 39:58Speaker 4: opponent playing two acts or two actions. I don't know.
- 40:01Speaker 4: This one's a randomly feeling. Don't don't like it that much.
- 40:09Speaker 4: It's fine, like it's another one whatever.
- 40:13Speaker 2: But I feel like an archon, it's a lot more
- 40:14Speaker 2: common than sealed, right, sealed to drop a bunch of
- 40:18Speaker 2: creatures past turned sometimes.
- 40:22Speaker 4: I don't know, we gotta start reading more fake cards
- 40:24Speaker 4: because right now, I just feel like you just play
- 40:26Speaker 4: into them and you go and you don't spend a
- 40:28Speaker 4: whole lot of time worrying about if you trigger fate.
- 40:30Speaker 3: But I guess that's the question, is that is there
- 40:32Speaker 3: really control? Because Okay, if they're double sided, you're gonna
- 40:38Speaker 3: at once they're revealed, you'll know that they can come
- 40:40Speaker 3: back again. Okay, that's my hypothesis what I would picture.
- 40:46Speaker 3: So if it can trigger a little more consistently, that's
- 40:49Speaker 3: both good, but it also leads to some of the
- 40:52Speaker 3: mining games. If we're seeing these that they're just not
- 40:57Speaker 3: showing up or they don't like you don't have control
- 41:01Speaker 3: over your opponent playing two actions, so that first time
- 41:03Speaker 3: maybe it reveals Does it impact you if you know
- 41:07Speaker 3: that if I've played this once and you played two actions,
- 41:10Speaker 3: are you now going to choose in a future turn
- 41:12Speaker 3: not to play those two actions?
- 41:14Speaker 2: Maybe? I don't know. That's where That's where I think
- 41:19Speaker 2: it could be interesting, right, it could be a threat.
- 41:22Speaker 2: We'll have to see that.
- 41:23Speaker 4: I haven't seen enough Fate stuff that makes me super
- 41:28Speaker 4: concerned about it.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I know you say that I want to have more
- 41:32Speaker 3: interaction in the game where it actually has an impact,
- 41:34Speaker 3: Like drawing cards.
- 41:36Speaker 4: You have to find bluffing junk too. Yeah, Like I'm
- 41:41Speaker 4: sticking a card under there and it's I know some
- 41:44Speaker 4: people enjoy that, other people are terrible with that.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Yes, but that's the mechanism for this, or the mechanics like.
- 41:53Speaker 4: When you're actually putting a really good card under there,
- 41:57Speaker 4: and you know they're playing a deck that needs to
- 41:58Speaker 4: play actions and you're like, oh, oh I'm gonna put this.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Oh I put it in there face Oh sorry, I
- 42:03Speaker 4: put it face down, so they know they don't want
- 42:05Speaker 4: to do it, so you like, but you're also giving
- 42:11Speaker 4: them the ability to know when to trigger that that fate.
- 42:14Speaker 4: But you know, like the the hard push, some some
- 42:19Speaker 4: silly fun stuff like that like that that could be
- 42:22Speaker 4: a rule on your fate. You can put the fade
- 42:23Speaker 4: in face down or face up one face down one
- 42:30Speaker 4: and one face up one. I don't know, like something
- 42:33Speaker 4: like some some game effect where you're what you're putting
- 42:36Speaker 4: in there is more mind games than what it is,
- 42:40Speaker 4: because in typical sealed, I feel like half the stuff
- 42:43Speaker 4: is gonna end up. Our fate is just like, well,
- 42:45Speaker 4: I just get this bad card out of my hand,
- 42:46Speaker 4: I stuffing it under that fate.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Here's a dark manion.
- 42:50Speaker 3: But if I can go ahead and gain efficiency from it,
- 42:53Speaker 3: there's still value.
- 42:54Speaker 4: Yeah, well all right, that's what I'm saying. You're gonna
- 42:56Speaker 4: use fate for efficiency more than fading.
- 43:00Speaker 3: That's why I say it depends. If it's happening every turn, okay,
- 43:03Speaker 3: then it's efficient to get rid of a card. If
- 43:04Speaker 3: it's not happening every turn, then you may want to
- 43:07Speaker 3: be able to hold on to it for the stronger fate.
- 43:11Speaker 3: I don't know, It's just I wish I had a
- 43:12Speaker 3: little bit more control here when I'm looking drawing ten
- 43:16Speaker 3: cards is going to happen. I don't have any control
- 43:17Speaker 3: over my opponent doing that. Going ahead and the amount
- 43:21Speaker 3: of creatures I have control over that. Okay, choosing an
- 43:25Speaker 3: active house not really. I mean it depends if we share,
- 43:31Speaker 3: but I don't have as much control choose.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Them to clean their board is a place where you
- 43:36Speaker 4: have impact, for sure.
- 43:37Speaker 3: It's a little bit going ahead and being able to fight.
- 43:41Speaker 3: So playing creatures are not their ability to shuffle a deck. Again,
- 43:45Speaker 3: So it's just interesting how the prophecies are coming out.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Some of them you have control over and some you
- 43:50Speaker 3: have absolutely no control over. I think I lean towards
- 43:53Speaker 3: wanting to have the players to have more control and
- 43:56Speaker 3: impact the game. But that's just where I am. So
- 43:58Speaker 3: that's interesting.
- 44:00Speaker 4: No, it will be interesting to see what kind of
- 44:03Speaker 4: final mix there is.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's let's go find some cards. They
- 44:07Speaker 2: got some fate on it. We'll just keep going down
- 44:09Speaker 2: the list, did we it's actually first, I guess, did
- 44:12Speaker 2: we talk about what is this?
- 44:18Speaker 3: Yeah, you're talking about the two new No, which yeah,
- 44:21Speaker 3: we briefly shared.
- 44:22Speaker 2: But all right, so we'll keep going. Then if we
- 44:25Speaker 2: talked about those, so let's see, these are reprints these
- 44:28Speaker 2: are reprints reprinted.
- 44:36Speaker 3: I think it's interesting to see what is being reprinted,
- 44:40Speaker 3: and that's why I agree.
- 44:43Speaker 4: But that's not what this particular.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah. So did we talk about Eddie of diss I
- 44:50Speaker 2: think we did.
- 44:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Let's say, all right, Eddie Gamber, there's an action play
- 44:59Speaker 3: shuffle of ran the card from your opponent's hand into
- 45:02Speaker 3: their deck. Fate. Your opponent shuffles their discard pile into
- 45:06Speaker 3: their deck. They draw a card.
- 45:10Speaker 2: So you can trigger cards will tell more. I guess
- 45:13Speaker 2: I don't know. That's fine.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Do you want to shuffle a random card from their
- 45:18Speaker 3: hand into their deck or would you pick that you
- 45:22Speaker 3: shuffle their discard pile and then they draw cards, so
- 45:25Speaker 3: they're gaining a card from bringing the discard.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Pile back in.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I don't feel a strong enough that face.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that Fate's not that great, Like against certain matchups, sure,
- 45:38Speaker 2: if you want to break haunted, but.
- 45:42Speaker 3: The loop that they keep cycling with their.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's certain scenarios, but for the most part, Yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 2: that's not that great. Okay, all right, we talked about
- 45:53Speaker 2: Embellish imp We talked about Grave Bounty. That was ours, right,
- 45:58Speaker 2: our spoiler yep, the oh you shouldn't have Uh, I
- 46:05Speaker 2: don't know if we talked about this or not. Fate
- 46:07Speaker 2: your opponent games three, So you're just giving your opponents
- 46:12Speaker 2: some somembter while you're getting Amber, I guess because you're
- 46:16Speaker 2: putting this under your prophecy and they give you.
- 46:18Speaker 3: Yeah, as soon as they fulfill it, you're gonna be
- 46:20Speaker 3: gaining three Amber.
- 46:21Speaker 4: Like, that's not okay card as long as you're not
- 46:26Speaker 4: burying too many other fate cards that aren't getting triggered
- 46:30Speaker 4: and you just discard this because all your fate slots are.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Full or they're running redline rotation.
- 46:39Speaker 4: This also, Yeah, like ARCon, the fate stuff is gonna
- 46:43Speaker 4: Fate is going to be not a lot of fun
- 46:51Speaker 4: in ARCon because remembering fate effects is going to take
- 46:59Speaker 4: quite a bit additional time, I think as players, right,
- 47:03Speaker 4: and then you definitely and thank god we don't have
- 47:06Speaker 4: the you can only look at the deck name or
- 47:09Speaker 4: the deck card names, and that we get to look
- 47:11Speaker 4: at it in the app because I'm going to need
- 47:13Speaker 4: to look at it in the after remember fate effects.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Okay, so but you have you have four prophecy cards,
- 47:19Speaker 3: but they're double sided, so you're gonna have two.
- 47:22Speaker 4: Most right, So if your deck has seven or eight
- 47:25Speaker 4: prophecy cards, you may get to a point where you're like, oh,
- 47:28Speaker 4: I want to play this as a fate effect, but
- 47:30Speaker 4: I can't because my opponent isn't triggering these fates.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Correct, So you're only going to bear. You only have
- 47:39Speaker 3: two prophecies that can be active at a time. You
- 47:44Speaker 3: switched up, and I had done the same earlier, that's why.
- 47:47Speaker 3: So the fates are the card that you're placing on
- 47:49Speaker 3: your prophecy. But if if your prophecy already has a
- 47:53Speaker 3: fate on it, you can't place another one. For what
- 47:55Speaker 3: I have read, and.
- 47:56Speaker 4: See, that's what it sounds like.
- 47:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and as soon as two of them are out,
- 48:00Speaker 3: that's what you're talking about.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Is right. Yeah, both your prophecy slots are filled with
- 48:04Speaker 4: fake cards, and now you're discarding these cards.
- 48:10Speaker 3: I would say this templating also looks like it's early,
- 48:13Speaker 3: because underneath it it says place this card face down
- 48:16Speaker 3: under a prophecy. When that prophecy fulfills, the active player
- 48:19Speaker 3: must resolve all fate effects under it. So there's no
- 48:22Speaker 3: amber and there's no impact if it's not placed as
- 48:25Speaker 3: a fade effect.
- 48:26Speaker 4: Right, there are definitely cards like that in this set.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Yeah, but that I mean if it has no other
- 48:31Speaker 3: value outside of being a fate effect, like that's not
- 48:35Speaker 3: think that takes quite a hit.
- 48:36Speaker 4: I don't think you're going to see a bunch of
- 48:38Speaker 4: those as common.
- 48:41Speaker 3: No, that's shown as uncommon. But even there, I and Game.
- 48:44Speaker 4: Three Amber under a card that you don't get control
- 48:47Speaker 4: what it triggers. I mean, like Game three Amber. We
- 48:50Speaker 4: have cards that do that now and they're only considered good.
- 48:54Speaker 3: But why wouldn't we just go ahead and put an
- 48:56Speaker 3: Amber on this and then I either play it for
- 48:59Speaker 3: an Amber or where I can play it as a
- 49:00Speaker 3: fate like to be stuck with it and I can't
- 49:03Speaker 3: do anything is no bueno at all.
- 49:05Speaker 4: So I yeah, because it doesn't so it doesn't have
- 49:12Speaker 4: a play effect, but you can still play it. It
- 49:17Speaker 4: is an action so yes, right, you could like to
- 49:21Speaker 4: trigger the say your opponent has the fate the prophecy
- 49:27Speaker 4: that says play two action cards. Okay, I play this
- 49:29Speaker 4: as a pointless action card to trigger that potentially, because
- 49:32Speaker 4: I know I want to clear out that whatever he's
- 49:35Speaker 4: put in there.
- 49:36Speaker 2: You should be able to get enhancement pips on it, right, So.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Why wait, wait, whow why would you want to clear
- 49:42Speaker 3: out your opponents.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Because they may have this card under there and I
- 49:49Speaker 4: want them to go over seven so I can grumble
- 49:51Speaker 4: them or something. Yes, because I'm at a point where
- 49:55Speaker 4: I'm like the gamble that that could be this and
- 49:58Speaker 4: could help me in this situation, because that is something
- 50:01Speaker 4: these prophecy cards or these fake cards. Definitely, depending on
- 50:06Speaker 4: the number that you have of them, your opponent gets
- 50:12Speaker 4: to sometimes choose when they trigger, and good players will
- 50:18Speaker 4: be able to use it to their advantage.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah, they'll know, hey, you've got these few cars.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Yeah. And if you have stuff that discards cards, I'm like, oh, yes,
- 50:30Speaker 4: I want to discard cards this turn. Or I know
- 50:34Speaker 4: you have the perche stuff, So I try to set
- 50:37Speaker 4: my discard up first and then I trigger it and
- 50:39Speaker 4: I purge bad cards out of my back.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Like I hear that, I don't think it's gonna happen
- 50:45Speaker 3: as frequently.
- 50:46Speaker 4: No, I think it's gonna happen a lot more frequently
- 50:48Speaker 4: than you think it is.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Right, we'll see. Then we'll leave it there.
- 50:54Speaker 2: I'm I'm interested to say, I'm excited about all this.
- 50:57Speaker 2: So all right, next up, did we talk about parasitic erachnoid.
- 51:03Speaker 3: I don't remember that one.
- 51:04Speaker 2: Two Power Beast destroyed, an enemy creature captures one from
- 51:09Speaker 2: its own side, fate, a friendly creature captures three from
- 51:14Speaker 2: your side. I feel like maybe we did talk about this,
- 51:19Speaker 2: but yeah you feel but yeah, capture friendly creature capturing.
- 51:23Speaker 4: Three pretty good?
- 51:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but.
- 51:28Speaker 4: This is another one. Like I'm saying, if you know
- 51:30Speaker 4: this is in their deck, you can try to trigger
- 51:33Speaker 4: that fate when you have no creatures and then a
- 51:35Speaker 4: physics yep, right, so like that kind of stuff is
- 51:39Speaker 4: for sure going to happen.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Mm hmm, all right. Pied Viper three, Power Beast elusive.
- 51:52Speaker 2: If there are more enemy creatures than friendly creatures, each
- 51:55Speaker 2: enemy creature gains after reap. Give your opponent control of
- 51:59Speaker 2: this creature.
- 52:00Speaker 4: We talked about, talked about this one. It's the problem.
- 52:04Speaker 4: This is really hard to know what we have in him.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's so familiar. Okay, I keep telling.
- 52:09Speaker 3: You, but the Pied Viper has real issues because I
- 52:12Speaker 3: can now send over creatures if you control and that's
- 52:16Speaker 3: that's where the discussion is on.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Uh, do we talk about poist strike? I
- 52:23Speaker 2: don't think so it's an upgrade, has an ember if
- 52:28Speaker 2: this creature would be ready destroy it instead. This is
- 52:32Speaker 2: one of the previews this week, Fate skip your ready
- 52:36Speaker 2: cards step. This turn that could be a big deal, could.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Be a big deal, could be totally meaningless like all cards, right,
- 52:47Speaker 4: that's true of all guards.
- 52:50Speaker 3: I think I think this is much better. I don't
- 52:52Speaker 3: see it as being used as an upgrade consistently, but
- 52:54Speaker 3: that fate skip your ready card step is pretty pretty
- 52:58Speaker 3: big and it means that you're not coming back.
- 53:04Speaker 4: I mean you can play it on your own creature
- 53:07Speaker 4: and get a same turn destroyed a fact, if you
- 53:09Speaker 4: had to have it.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Yeah you're dustin.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Yeah, some some weird things can happen with this guy
- 53:16Speaker 4: a little bit kind.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Of why you'd place it there if this creature would
- 53:21Speaker 3: be ready to destroyed. Okay, so yes, then.
- 53:22Speaker 4: You're done, I got it. But then you know, ultimately
- 53:28Speaker 4: like this is this is a rephrase containment field yep.
- 53:36Speaker 3: With the fate, which is why we're saying that things
- 53:38Speaker 3: that basically and.
- 53:39Speaker 4: That fate again, this fate is good, but it's not
- 53:44Speaker 4: game warping.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it depends on the matchup, right. Some
- 53:51Speaker 2: sometimes you're up against an opponent that really cares about
- 53:54Speaker 2: their creatures artifacts. Sometimes you're not, so it's a bit
- 54:01Speaker 2: matchup dependent, all right, Solo do we talk about Solo?
- 54:08Speaker 2: I don't remember five power demon. If there are no
- 54:13Speaker 2: other friendly creatures in play, Solo gets plus twenty power
- 54:18Speaker 2: and gains after fight gain three. Fate destroy each creatures.
- 54:27Speaker 3: And after fight gaining three mm hmm. It all gets
- 54:36Speaker 3: it though, if it is by itself.
- 54:38Speaker 2: If it's Solo, no other friendly creatures.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think it's a great after fight
- 54:46Speaker 3: ef fact to be able to have it be in three.
- 54:48Speaker 3: I just don't see it lasting. Can Like, it's really
- 54:52Speaker 3: hard to only be playing with one creature.
- 54:54Speaker 2: On your side, right, and and your opponent also has
- 54:58Speaker 2: creatures because you know, sure bard wipe, but then you
- 55:01Speaker 2: play them, and then your opponent could be like, well,
- 55:05Speaker 2: I'm just not going to play creatures, and then I
- 55:09Speaker 2: don't know that the Fate destroyed creature because you can't
- 55:12Speaker 2: your opponent may or may not trigger it. When do
- 55:14Speaker 2: you want to write? It's sort of like how you
- 55:16Speaker 2: hold board clear sometimes and you're just like, well, I'm
- 55:19Speaker 2: not gonna play it this turn, but like you could
- 55:21Speaker 2: play this and it actually or fade it, I guess,
- 55:24Speaker 2: and then it actually helps your opponent because it took
- 55:27Speaker 2: the board state changed between the time you put it
- 55:30Speaker 2: there or not. Like this one's tricky, I think.
- 55:34Speaker 4: Okay, I think I figured out to cheat. How we
- 55:36Speaker 4: go through this list. Only look at the cards where
- 55:40Speaker 4: it has the big artist name, the big artist name,
- 55:46Speaker 4: or has the artist name and they're not reprints.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Okay, seems to be seems right, Okay, all right, I'll
- 55:53Speaker 2: try that trick. Yeah, maybe one weird trick that helps
- 55:57Speaker 2: you reading key Pork spoilers. That will be the we
- 56:01Speaker 2: can have a Wookie name in the episode oclock. We
- 56:05Speaker 2: finished this here, should we pick up the pace? Is
- 56:09Speaker 2: that what you're saying?
- 56:10Speaker 3: Let's go?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Yeah, alright, bit Bite two power creature AI in logos.
- 56:18Speaker 2: We're into logos now, skirmish after fight. Put the creature
- 56:23Speaker 2: bite fights into its owner's archives. Fate your opponent archives
- 56:27Speaker 2: the bottom card of their deck.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Yeah, this is like mal whatever, It's fine. Maybe there's
- 56:35Speaker 4: some bottom deck stuff going on in this where you
- 56:38Speaker 4: can set up so you're picking what they're archiving a
- 56:41Speaker 4: little better.
- 56:42Speaker 3: But outside of unfathomable and what like that. Know that
- 56:47Speaker 3: there's not enough interaction with the bottom card.
- 56:50Speaker 4: Yeah, this is pretty underwhelming. Agreeable to archive it?
- 56:56Speaker 3: No, that's that's I don't want that happening.
- 56:59Speaker 4: This your bottom car getting archive that's always good. Anything
- 57:03Speaker 4: going into your archives is generally good.
- 57:05Speaker 3: It's just it's just going in your archives. You get
- 57:07Speaker 3: an extra card off of it. But in comparison to others, No,
- 57:11Speaker 3: I think that this is not strong enough.
- 57:13Speaker 4: Again, is this that common? If this is a common
- 57:15Speaker 4: it's fine, it's uncommon. Okay, this card is whatever? Put
- 57:20Speaker 4: it in the junk.
- 57:23Speaker 3: Do the force here?
- 57:25Speaker 4: Oh, I mean it's kind of got your They could
- 57:29Speaker 4: have made it look like a gummy worm for JR.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Because it's got the gummy worm fight effect.
- 57:33Speaker 2: I thought, is this is this a new one?
- 57:39Speaker 4: Uh?
- 57:40Speaker 2: For two power cyborg scientists play after reap. Look at
- 57:47Speaker 2: the top two cards.
- 57:48Speaker 4: See how that card's clipped in here, that it's from something.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Else, something else. Put one into your hand and one
- 57:54Speaker 2: on top of your deck. So it was kind of
- 57:58Speaker 2: similar to like previous iterations of cards where you look
- 58:00Speaker 2: at the top three and do something, but now.
- 58:02Speaker 4: The top play reap. This guy's pretty good.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so he's a small body. I don't think it'll
- 58:08Speaker 3: last long, but that come.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Yeah, actually on play you do it?
- 58:11Speaker 4: So yeah, and if they don't like this is a
- 58:14Speaker 4: reap effect that's worth going back to.
- 58:17Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, skip in the head. Let's see Designer
- 58:24Speaker 2: Crick three power scientists two armor. Each time your opponent
- 58:33Speaker 2: discards a card from their hand, draw a card and
- 58:36Speaker 2: Designer Crick captures one.
- 58:39Speaker 3: Sorry ding geist it at all anyway?
- 58:42Speaker 2: Yeah, So I mean this could be good, right if
- 58:50Speaker 2: you're if you got a lot of ways to discard
- 58:53Speaker 2: cards out of your opponent's hand, or it makes them
- 58:57Speaker 2: hesitate because you're on their turn, you're getting cards, Like
- 59:04Speaker 2: getting cards during your opponent's turn is strong. So I
- 59:11Speaker 2: don't know, it's a rare but this, this, this could
- 59:13Speaker 2: be good, you think.
- 59:22Speaker 3: I think it's fine. Seeing gr there, we'll have to see.
- 59:27Speaker 3: It's in a rare slot, so I don't know how
- 59:29Speaker 3: often it's actually, Yeah, but the ability to draw a
- 59:31Speaker 3: card and to capture i'm good with. If someone's discarding
- 59:34Speaker 3: and there's a sad so.
- 59:36Speaker 4: It's a pretty strong card.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's good.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and the capture could be annoying too for your opponent.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Can you surprise how about you discard even when you're
- 59:49Speaker 4: not playing with discard pips, there's some other card that
- 59:52Speaker 4: triggers off discard a noise.
- 59:58Speaker 2: A master, is that what it is?
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: Yeah, as a master when you're not being forced to discard,
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: and yet that card is a pain because there there's
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: times where you're just like, I want to discard my board, wife,
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: but it makes them a tot of this card that
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: maybe maybe that's part of I'm a big fan of
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: discarding cards, Like I love discarding creatures instead of playing
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: them because it stopped so many effects that existed this game.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: All right, Next, we've got duck Duck.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Like I was like, I was actually looking that out.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: I'm like, man, that is not a master at all.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: But thank you, Yes, yeah, I said it was the
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: other one I thought. I just moved on.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I just couldn't pull it up.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Isn't duck duck an old one?
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: Is duck duck superb duck and old one?
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: And somebody used to put a list of this stuff
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: together instead of trying to do it on the floor.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I just think that I think that these designer crick
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: and ducked up superb Duck are definitely set up for sloppy.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: These two cards are made for him. So are two
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: random cards game two Amber, choose one. I like to
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: choose one cards, sitting it out of common.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's not Alpha.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: So your logo stuff cards from hand. Yeah, this is
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: not from deck or anything.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it all right.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: It's actually a hard a little bit of a game.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: It's almost a decision sometimes. M hmm, if it's not
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: putting you on check. I think the two cards are
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: at least an ARCon. Two cards are always worth more
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: than two Amber. Yeah, sealed two Amber may be worth
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: more than two cards.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Could be, depends on if which deck you're playing.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: It depends. How Just realize that you can defend how
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: much Skyborne you have, right, yeah, but realize, oh, you
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: can play this at the end of your turn.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: So now I'm down to three cards.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: No, yeah, we've got that.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's there.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Still, all right. I think the next few next few
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: already been revealed.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: I don't know pick cards at random. Now we're just
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: reading about cards wasted some time.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: All right, Rage reset Amber pip action play destroy any
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: number of friendly creatures. Draw one card for each creature.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Destroyed this way Fate discard your hand.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely saw this one.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Discard your hand is pretty brutal. But I'm pretty sure
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: we we saw that, right.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: So.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Yeah, this one is this card ragery set with stars
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: aligned and outlook not so good because of when they
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: trigger and like they're both semi controllable, could be really brutal.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: Think about that, like you're is is putting okay, is
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: putting a fake card under a prophecy playing a card
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: or not? No? So on on on go. I have
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: seven cards. Can I sink a fake card and play
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: a card?
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: That is a good question.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: I do not know it.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: Because I'm just like it. Think if you're you know,
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: like say you have h moll stars aligned or outlook
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: not so good, right, and your first turn you can
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: play an actor whatever or you know, like depending on
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: which card you play something, and then you have this
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: fate that you stick under there and it's guaranteed to
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: trigger at the start of their turn and.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: They just dump their hands and they yeah.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: And then just went bam. Their whole turn is just gone. Yeah,
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: Like that is that is a monster combo.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: MM will definitely have an impact on pacing for the game.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: And how it changes tempo's impact.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: Now, if your whole turn is just sinking that fate
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: and then discarding your hand, still pretty darn strong.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Would you prefer to have it on turn one where
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: you know they basically said, yes, this hand is what
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: I'm keeping, or would you prefer to have it let's
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: say turn two or three where they they have a
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: board so they could potentially still use that, but it
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: just wipes them at that point where they potentially.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: I like the hard push immediately.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: And just no, I think I think the hard push
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: is good, but I don't think it's horrible.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I mean discarding your whole hand. If you have a
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: fake card that consistently prophecy, that can consistently trigger at
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: the start of their turn, that is gonna be strong.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: If it's some of these other ones where it's like
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: after they've played two actions and then you know their
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: hands empty, who cares, right, that's.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: A terrible actually in order to go yeah.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: They're like, discarding your hand at the right time is
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: one of those effects where I want to trigger right
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: where I'm like, I would like to get rid of
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: the rest of these cards. That would be fantastic, But
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: it to happen at the beginning of your turn, especially
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: after you called your house. That's potentially very brutal.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: We'll have to see what the prophecies are if it's
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: going to be like the tokens, you know, and did
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: you get the right token. Our next one is a
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: comment reassembly required Amber pip action play put a creature
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: into its owner's archives. Fate discard your archives. It's archive hate.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's archive Hey. That's often triggered
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: after your archive picked up phase. So if you know
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: the card exists and your archives are critical, it's very easy.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Yep, that's true.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: It's coming in common, so you'll probably see multiples.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: But again, as we were saying, there are a couple
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: of fates where you don't have as the player getting
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: faded prophecies, fates whatever. As as the person getting getting
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: the negative side of this, you don't have the ability
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: to control when it fires and your opponent does and
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: they can use this offensively.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: I know we talked about Unstable Dale three power creature
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: Cyborg after Reef deal one to each creature for each
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: card in your hand. Fate deal three to each friendly creature.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: So why are we talking about it again.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Moving on, normal technician coming back punch you.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: You don't have to touch every card.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Killing, yes, touch touch for power after reap, archive the
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: top card of your deck and the top card of
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: your discard file.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, it uncommon. Okay, yeah, I mean good reef
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: of fact. What the card do you want in your
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: discard pile? Archive it and something else. Seems good. It'll
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: be a little dirty in the other archives.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: But you know, dirty archives good.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: We learned to live with that in gr So yeah.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: When your archives are six or eight cards, it doesn't
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: really matter when they're dirty.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I do find it interesting what is actually shown here?
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: We only have one Mars card. I like it at Battlefleet,
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: but we have a whole bunch of redemption so brass
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: Client four power one armor mutant creature brass Line gains
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: skirmish while in a flank and taut while not on
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: a flank fate for the rest of your turn. Friendly
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: creatures cannot fight pass.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Yeah that's so great.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: I mean he's a decent taunter and a decent flanker.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: But also yeah, wow, does he not push gate state?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Uh, Corrosive Monk four power zero armor creature, Monk, mutants.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Each creature is considered to have zero armor. Each creature
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: cannot gain armor. Fate destroy a friendly creature for each
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: enemy mutant creature.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Uh, zero armor, can't gain armor, and then so the
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: fate of two.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Yeah, no, the fate of fact here, because it's on
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: your turn, stresscar as the active player, you're gonna choose
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: to just you get to.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Choose, yeah, I'll yeah.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: But also if you have less creatures than I have, mutants,
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: it's just everything. Yeah, the fate effect here is fine
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: as a rare card and whatever.
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Ragatha five power, zero armor, creature, Mutant, Treachery. Each
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: enemyature gains after rep deal three to each of rag.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: Talked about this because this is the one that does
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: weird things.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: Mm hmmm yes, Ruthless Avenger four powers of your armor,
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Creature nights, assault too, hazards, two fates, Purge two random
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: cards from your discard file, shuffle your discard pile into
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: your deck.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Ah maybe.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Whatever, yeah, common, so there it is. It's dr right,
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Shuffling they're just filing is good. Just purging random cards
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: is okay.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Sometimes good, So that's bad, right, yeah, all right.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Benevolent Charity miss Card, Sydney, Sydney and Kids. So three
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: enhanced capture pips. Play move action, play move each amber
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: On a friendly creature to the common supp fates each
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: enemy creature with Amberonic captures one. This is, by the way,
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: it is sanct I'm sorry we did Is this that common?
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: It is uncommon?
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: It is uncommon, Okay, Like think of having three of these.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's a lot of capture.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: Well, and it's a lot of like you're gonna play
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: it for nothing.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, more the better, right, and then you just capture
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: and dump Ember.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: I don't know, I'm I'm hoping that you'll have capture.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: This is still not just like you're like they made
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: sreptacular rays.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: They made.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: Yes, that that is.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: In temper right, and like and then this is just
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: like clean off a card, which is an okay effect,
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: Like it's not a bad effect, but it's like.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: Well it's all your not single cards, all your cards on.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Yeah okay, yeah, but still it's it's it is a
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: It is a card that, when it exists in two
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: copies of the right deck, is going to make the
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: grindiest garbage games ever. I make Amber, I capture it
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: and wash it all away. Yeah, but I'm playing crappy
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Sanctum creatures, so I'm not actually making any amber.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: It'll slow the game down seeing this, though, I think
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: it will have an impact on some of the cards
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: that have been spoiled. For Sanctum. You have out Flank
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: for capturing, you have their one for capturing, you have
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: the Corpulent Collector for capturing.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: This does come like three capture enhancements too, so it
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: very well could be a card that gets self enhanced,
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: like this is a car that should have just been
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: self enhanced. But then it might as just like capture
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: an amber.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see, but I think this is gonna play
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: better than we're given credit for. Right now, should we
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: go broken intent? Broken Intent? Action one Amber pip that's there?
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: Play one. Each player discards their archives, purge an action
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: card in a discard file man.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: They like, what is what the purge? They're like, They're like, well,
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: how do we make Sanctum or Redemption valid against gr Well,
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: they better start purging and wrecking archives too. That's not
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: just a Logos thing anymore, guys.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Is purging Well again, logos has too much, But is
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: purging one card fast enough? This is a common so
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: you could have multiple.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: Depends on this is This has got choices and it
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: does have an amber PIP, but purging one card could
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: be critical.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you kill that target and oh no, this is
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: action cards only get that key abduction.
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: Yeah, all right. This is stronger though, because it is
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: a discard archives, not a stinky shuffle in archives. I'm
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: not a fan of that effect. Shuffle in archives. Like
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: its concentrates decks. That's what it feels like it does.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, so.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Did we do collective cam I think so each creature
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: gains after rep gain one after a friendly creature is
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: used to fight destroy collective calm. There's an amber preponant,
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: so it's power artifact. Okay, but that is a dual
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: sided artifact.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, we definitely talk about that, okay.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Gray Warden three power three power creature human monk deploy
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: after fight after re ready and neighboring sanctum creature.
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: I feel like garbage.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: Well but well, what is it?
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: That's that's your not unplayed.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: This isn't a play effect and it can only do creatures.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: This is hot garbou Yeah, not good.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Oracles on three power creature monk after rep move each
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: amber from a friendly creature to the common supply for
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: each amber moved, deal two damage from a creatures.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: Heel, yeah, we talked about this. We didn't care about it.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: Then we don't talk about that, all right. These cards
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: are so mid messy that, I mean, like they'll be fine,
- 1:14:14Speaker 4: like everyone's it's gonna move a bunch of hammer, but
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: like this, this is like if this is spoilers, this
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: is spoiled. My appetite for buying this set. Discard your
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: discard your hand is the only thing I've seen here
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: that has got me excited. Everything else is just like
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: these are some cards. They're okay, they'll do some things,
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: but they're not ones.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: And the logos ones seemed good, just like normal and
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: our and Sanctum and and and it's the same, just
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: far for the course.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Sirwan three Power, one armor, Night Human Creature A capture
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: all a third rounded down of your opponent's amber. Fate
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: lose a third rounded down of your amber.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: They talked about him, Yeah, creature.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Did you.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Talk about that?
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: Creature gains?
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: Wait to have like talking about this? All right?
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: Well I was totally not here for that, all right, Sorry.
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: I don't remember Gas's name.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, guyas we didn't talk about.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: So you ad alright, Caius three powers, zero armor or
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: Philosopher creature after repward each friendly creature with amber on it,
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: scrap ward a friendly creature.
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: This card's.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: For for Dino's It's not great, it's fine.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: It's only for power. There's not enough capture out there,
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: like that reef word. All Like Ancient Power was a
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: pretty solid feeling card in the right decks, and this
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: guy could change that potentially.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: All right, this was a preview card. I know that.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: That's Marcella the Younger. Four powers of your armor creature
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Dinosaur after fight, after reap, you may exalt Marcella the
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Younger if you do draw two.
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: Cards, why did they take and effect that land before
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: time wasn't great? It is okay, and then made this
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: awful exalt effect on it.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, what what's the logos one power dude
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: that lets you draw two cards? Was we died but
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: drawing two cards didn't?
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: That's Bibulia power, right, Yeah.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, often didn't didn't do the trick draw card.
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: You know, actually, maybe with the fact that it exis
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: ultimates your opponent goes Yeah, I will actually let you
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: have two cards for one amber, and you get to
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: use this and then win because in any like I'm saying,
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: in any arc on deck, like two cards is worth
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: more than one amber for sure.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: All Right, so here's the question, because I thought of it.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: So for seer as a logos card two power play
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: after reap, look at the top two cards of your deck.
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: Put one in your hand, one on the top of
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: your deck here for power after fight after reap. So
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: slower you may exalt if you do just straight draw.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: Yeah, this card stinks in comparison to those effects, saying
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: the other guy likely gets killed. This might actually just
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: get left because your opponent's like, well, at least I
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: get an Amber out of them drawing, but.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: The other one has the play effect you're gaining.
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: At least I know it's it is a better card.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: All right, did we do Paleo gens No, I don't
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: know this one amber pit, Paleogene Society action play, returning
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: car card from your discard pile to your hand, Purge
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: Palogen Society, fate ward each enemy creature.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Okay. The fact that this doesn't say return a card
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: from your discard pile and play it makes this probably
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: not that strong because you can only re from Sarian
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: replace Saring cards or you're telegraphing, which is okay, right,
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: Like telegraphing isn't necessarily bad. We know that because we
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: were doing that in gr constantly by choosing what we
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: were archiving from our discard. But I the fact that
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: you don't get to play this card and you have
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: to purge it. You don't get to play the cards
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: you picked and you have to purge it.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: It's well.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: I think it depends on how good Sarian is going
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: to be, right, Like, if Sarian's good, Discard's good.
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: Okay, well, let's let's talk about the great effect then,
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: because that's.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: How ward each enemy creature I.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Mean, like warding your whole board.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Is okay, Well, it's good.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: I'm still up for being able to search for cards.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: So I think that it was used and untamed very well.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: And I like to be able to pull a card
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: that I want, So I'm happy with it.
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: Really, I've not been super happy with most of the
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: on Tamed pit cards.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: It's different, different styles, so uh, Placinia Hidden Agent three
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Powered Dinosaur Assassin Creature destroyed, destroy each Plasinia Hidden Agents neighbors,
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: and then Fate puts Pasina secret agent into play under
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: your control.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: No no, thank you passed. So weird and more passed.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you're actually forced to play it, no no, But
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: if you don't play it as a fait.
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's real bad. We're real bad.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: So, I mean, sometimes you want to kill your own dudes.
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: But it is placenta. This is I don't want to
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: look at it anymore.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: What the health benefits?
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: All right, sedimentary nap amber pip action? Play right now
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: creature into its owner's deck. Oh, our fate shuffle the
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: most powerful creature into its owner's deck.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: This is a common shuffle of creature. It's better, way
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: better as a play effect. Yeah, like you guys will
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: not even have this fate effect. The only reason this
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: fine effect even is a thing is like you can
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: be like on a turn where you're like, I don't
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: want this soaring card in my hand anymore. But this
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: is bounce right, which gets around destroyed effects. Mm hmm.
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: It has an amber pip on it.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: This card is fine, And I guess I am assuming
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: boys that if we play the action, we're getting the
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: amber pit. But if it is played as a fake
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: card and it's revealed there.
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: Wouldn't that be awful if they got the pips?
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: It hasn't been that, I'm aware, but maybe that's something
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: we should definitely put a little abstisk by. I assume
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: that they.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Depending on which version resolve the fate effect, right is, and.
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: The fate effect means not the pips because you're not
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: playing the card and you get pipps on playing there.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: Uh yeah, we talked about too low okay, Uh then
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: onto some shadows brutal consequences. I like that art right,
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: it looks pretty sweet. Nicely to smash there guy being
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: play And so it's an action play deal three to
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: a creature. If this damage destroys that creature, purge it
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: fate purge an exhausted friendly creature.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: It's not a man. I mean, like, what was the
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: code of car that was perge three powered creatures?
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: Oh, the artifact that you kill something on the flank.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: There's just a code of card that says purgect three
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: power creature. Anyways, this is sort of better than because, uh,
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: you know, if you already have damage on a bigger creature,
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: you can purchase it.
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: This is also one of those fates that you don't
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: want to trigger at the beginning of the.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: Term, this doesn't right. This one isn't termed in a
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: way that profence destroyed effects, is it because this destroys it? Yeah,
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: that's like destroys means it's in. It's like when it
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: enters the discard. Yeah, an exhausted friendly creature.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: Depending on what fate you have, this could do nothing.
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: Yep, well, depending on when they trigger it. Yeah yeah right,
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: I mean like just needs an Amber pip for being
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: to be interested in it. But it's it's a card.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: Should we go? The next one? Chummy been very chummy
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: creature three power Elf before fights. Uh, technically we can't
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: see if it has any armor from the cutoff, but
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: we don't know yet before fight. If the creature Chummy
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: fights is the least powerful enemy creature steal one fate
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: pay your opponent to Amber.
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: No pay pay is cool? Yeah, circumvents anti steal mm hmm.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: So it's good for that this is a fate effect.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: You're gonna play this as a fate effect the time yep,
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: because the creature.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Doesn't have unless your prophecies are full.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: Yeah, well sure, but what do you want to do
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: with it.
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but again looking at the cards, and I mean,
- 1:23:58Speaker 4: we haven't seen if there's a lot of common faith
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: based cards, but right now, based off the number of
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: cards are sitting there, it isn't that many. I just
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: don't feel like you're not You're just not gonna be like, oh,
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: I have a plethora of them. Yeah, And if you do,
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: then it's then it becomes slightly more interesting. All right.
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: Cursed Loots artifact Amber pip item treachery. After you play
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: a card, discard a random card from your hand. If
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: you have no cards in your hand, destroy cursed Loots.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: See you know how z as hated mindfire. Yeah, I
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: would just enjoy plaguing this on Z.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: It's interesting because it's like, I guess, it's not like
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: if you have a three to three hand, you're definitely
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: not guaranteed to get rid of this, because you might
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: just have to after you play first one. You got
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: a fair chance discarding the same house. This could be
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: hard to get rid of. Yeah, yeah, it's it's actually
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: pretty good. This card actually card is probably really strong.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: Because yeah, like you're breaking combos, right, You're you're you're
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: making your opponent afraid to do stuff.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: Yeah, like they have to be very thoughtful of the
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: first card they played because they might not play the
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: second card. M m yeah, this card is really strong.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Notice it says play a card, so that could
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: be creature or action or artifact like you have or
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: upgrade like that. There's a lot that's all being played.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Now there is the choice, well, there is the choice
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: if you have six. I mean, like, if they have
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: six of a house, then they're guaranteed to clear out. Yeah,
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: I'm just trying to think of there are other ways,
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: but discarding cards prevents the thing. But if you could
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: discard your whole hand, you could play your whole hand anyways,
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: So interesting mm hmm. But yeah, that card seems really strong.
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: Maneuvers did you? Oh yeah, thinks so know the next couple,
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: I think we're over at thun.
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: And it's a really bad card, so we don't want
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: to talk about it.
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: Two power creature the elf, play deal to to an
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: enemy creature and exhausted faith destroy each exhausted creature.
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: Well that's all I was getting played next.
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that fate is too random, right, It
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: depends depends.
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: Unless you have a faith. That's like guaranteed to trigger
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: right before ready.
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: Yeah, well but it could also be here's on fighting
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: orf like the it depends on hard to read. All right, Skyborne,
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: we've seen uh into Star Alliance. So the next one,
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: I think is where you like it, and that is
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: cosmic recompense action play deal three to an enemy creature.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: If it is not destroyed, steal one period, repeat the
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: preceding effect, fate and your turn.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: This is another. This is another really strong like it's
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: the same thing as we're talking about with the discard
- 1:27:08Speaker 4: your hand. It's a turn skip card. That's a very
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: strong fate. It's even a decent effect.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: Well, ending your turn means that you are not ready.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: You don't even drawing car, you're not doing anything like
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: that is massive?
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: Okay, you can you can you trigger two fate effects?
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: Well no, because it's as soon as the first fate
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: Now that's not what my question was, sorry, as soon
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: as the first prophecy? Are you sassing?
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: Can two prophecies be triggered in the same turn, Like
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: if you have the two action ones and the fight one,
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: they both can be triggered in the same turn, right, Well,
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: they're depending on what's there there.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: You be the one where.
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: They there is a potential set up where the first
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: profit to see they trigger has to discard your hand,
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: and somehow they trigger the second prophecy, which is end
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: your turn a double term skip.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: We do the forge a key one, so they have
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: to forge a key and they dump their hand and
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: then they have to choose a house that they have
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: nothing on they turn, then they cry yes.
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: Or same number of creatures is.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: Also a zero. Yep, yep, yep.
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: I feel we've seen the leader.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: Yeah, we've seen the leader.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Let's return to enemy creatures.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: Which means we don't talk about it.
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: Uh and s Clark.
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: I don't remember Clark.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: All right, three power human zero armor enhanced with an amber.
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: Heels like it could be somebody's art card, but who knows.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: Somebody was like, I want a picture of me grabbing
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: somebody's nose tote.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: You're exploring something to that right further.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: Yeah, well from the artifact, you get to choose I
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: guess well you get.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: To choose your art fact to destroy. This just comes
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: with some enhancement pips. But this is not a great
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: card any which way. Yeah, it is. It is R
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: so you know, like it is R so if you
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: had two or three of them in a deck, you're
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: getting the enhancement pips, which is okay, and you could
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: be very abusive to their artifacts.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: Do you know how we have gone around with enhancements.
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: It's been very interesting. Just looking back at it. It's
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: not enough, right, I know it's not enough anymore, But
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: when we first saw them, it was like, man, just
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: the value from getting an amber pip and a capture pip.
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: So it really shows the progression of what the enhancements
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: of Green should I go to further investigations. Further investigations
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: action with the Amber pip play destroy any number of
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: friendly creatures for each creature destroyed. This way archive a card.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I like, I didn't read the flavor tags. Fascinating,
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: simply fast final transmission from Science Officer chart. That's good.
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: So like, I don't know, I don't know. This is
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: also only from your hand. I don't I don't know
- 1:30:34Speaker 4: how I feel. I like I like this betteran a
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: token said, I think, I don't know if I care
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: for this card that much. I guess it would be
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: fun with rawls, but then again, like I almost always
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: take my opportunities to kill Smoko and archive a card
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: that way, so certainly possible.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: This feels like combo fodder, Like there's gonna be something
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: interesting with this, but.
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: There's too much archive hate now too, I don't know.
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, right, Precision Striker two power, Creature Robot zero
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: armor after reap, discard the top three cards of your
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: opponent's deck.
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: Put one of the discarded cards in the bottom of
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: your opponent's deck.
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: So you filter them to their.
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: Trash two power after reap. So yeah, it's yeah.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: It's gonna be real slow, and that's in your comment
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: slot there, so that's that's a little sad.
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: And actually, like I see people playing this wrong where
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: they just keep putting the crappy creatures on the bottom
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: of the same house potentially too, and then they end
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: up giving their opponent the ability to outboard them. You're
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: gonna be careful when you're doing that. Like it's much
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: better to make messy than archives color streak or even
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: creature streak, because like, if you don't have to see,
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: you're gonna make trouble.
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: I feel like this is trying to get some of
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: the g R, but it's not on play, and so
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: the after reef is just too slow.
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. We got to talk about.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Yeah, refits Amber PIP action play. You may move an
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: upgrade in play to another creature Fate destroying upgrade attached
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: to a friendly creature.
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: This is a common This is a bad card.
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: This is yeah, because upgrade as a fate you just
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: you may not be playing U upgrade. They don't see
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: them at Allso I mean, like the Amber.
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: Pip is the most appealing thing about this card.
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: So let's go on, all right, Sample forty two ce
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: artifacts Amber Pip experiment action Move one Amber from your opponent.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: It's cool to sample forty two. See if there are
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: four Amber or more on sample forty two seed purge
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: it and portuki at no costs. I think we've seen
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: this before.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: We talked about this is redacted.
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we don't think I was here for this one.
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: Yeah I wasn't. I don't remember that one at all.
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: But Fate, the most powerful enemy creature, captures half of
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: your amber.
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: We'll screw that. This is way better as action.
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: Yeah, think enhancement, m you do it, but are there
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: There's not gonna be unless there's a legacy there.
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: There might be house enhancements in this set, believe.
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's nuts there, all right, untamed, consult the bones
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: or are we gonna is technically chunk evermore?
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: We talked about chunk, all right, consult the bones.
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: As we're at action play, discard the top card of
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: each player's deck. For each card discarded this way, resolve
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: its bonus icons as if you had played it. Well, now,
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: common bar, if you are facing me, we're just gonna
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: flip over cards and it won't and I'll.
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Win the game because it's gonna be better for me. Yeah,
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: that's a blurf card, Like, oh my gosh, think about
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: having multiple copies of that dumpster.
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: That needed to have amber pip like enhancement, needed enhancing.
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: To not get created.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: I'm okay with that too.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: Should we go in like a Willow reference from the
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: flavor task the boones tell me.
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: Nothing, you crystaline harvest action with an amber pip play
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: for the remainder of the turn. Gain one amber each
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: time you play an action card. Junk for the remainder
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: of the urn, lose one amber each time you play
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: an action card.
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Okay, this is garbage. Next, what this is science all
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: over again? Which was a yes bad card and a
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: house that I couldn't draw like mad. No.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: I was like science last time. I thought it was
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: gonna be good because I didn't do the math. I
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: was excited, and then it seems like I started playing it.
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: I was like, this sucks.
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: Yeah, the lose one for each half the time they have.
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: I mean, like, that's that's a mediocre effect at best,
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: the fate effect.
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: All right, it is uncommon. I had to click on
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: it to be able to open up. But I don't know.
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: All right, you can have copies of this card.
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: I feel that you can have Amber burst with that, and.
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: But you had its science and Science didn't do it,
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: and logos drew more cards to keep playing cards. This
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: is untamed. It's all creatures and garbage, just garbage.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: From what now, Like I call creatures and garbage from what.
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: Is from what is shown here. It is not looking
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: very good. I can agree with that.
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: But you just you don't have the aft to make
- 1:35:56Speaker 4: this worth more than a couple extra amber, which is
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: not that good of a card.
- 1:36:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you're under selling it, all right, Ven, I think you're.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: I'm a sheep on this.
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: I'm not high four power zero armor creature be skirmish
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: while your opponent has more amber than you. Envious Venomite
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: gains poison fates for the rest of the turn. Each
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: enemy creature gains poison vomit uh Lambit my Celium two
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: power creature Fungus. After another creature enters play put two
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: plus one power coners on Lambit my Celium fate until
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: the end of your turn. The most powerful enemy creature
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: gains taunt Oh my God, that may.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: Be the worst fake card we've seen put.
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: I hope I didn't put on tamed.
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: As my oh God, Like you could have a real
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: fat tree like this tree could get a real real
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: fact And this is another card like and there was
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: something else we or maybe we talked about this one.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: There was another card in the set that gained power
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: like mad if if they print the draw cards for
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: with wastenuts in the set, maybe we got something going on.
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: No waste not.
- 1:37:20Speaker 3: We don't and I don't see it here, so I
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: don't know. And then the last, well, last card that
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: was shown here, Lithomancy Artifact power action revealed the top
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: card of your deck. If the revealed card belongs to
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: the active house discarded in game two, well.
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: At least they fixed the crappy logos card that maybe
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: played it. This is fine, Like, I'm this sounds good
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: to me. I would be happy to trigger this. I
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: also think this could almost afford to be an omni.
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: The fact that it's an action means you're only calling
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: it not on tame turns. And then it's a low
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: chances non tamed card. Yeah, not that thrilled.
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: And then Prince Buffo they did change if I'm correct,
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: right one power zero armored Creature Beast enhanced with amber
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: pip and a drawpip. Fate your opponent gains four.
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: It used to be for Jaqui at current right.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: I mean, he's still the coolest because he's Prince Bufo, but.
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: It is silly that this one has fate game four.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: And then there's that other one that's fake game three
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: and what's the enhanced that Yeah, and yeah, and that
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: other one does absolutely nothing else. M hm oh you
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: shouldn't have is correct?
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: M all right?
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: Well man, I'm sorry, listen, I know I did this,
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: and logos. I think I did untamed for my I
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: bet she'll done based on this. What should I have
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: done instead? Star Alliance? Oh about Star Alliance?
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: Maybe Yasma borrow.
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: Maybe it should. Maybe it's a rare though, so I
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: know rare. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: Maybe star lions, but yeah, I.
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: Probably not untamed. That was probably a mistake. I do
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: think it's not gonna be worse, really, yeah, it's it's
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: not gonna be worse than the my last Name deck,
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: the Kills Brio deck, which definitely does not kill Bridle
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: or anything else. It's really really bad, Like I guess,
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: I guess that's what I get after getting some pretty
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: solid H g R decks. You know, slow walk slow
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: is pretty good and uh but yeah, kills Brio is
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: very bad. All right, Well that's it. I think I
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: think that's it. Guys, right what is uh? Oh?
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: Was it what you say?
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: When he wraps the podcast, he's like, we did the thing. Yay,
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: do the outro. I'll be fortunate everyone.
- 1:40:19Speaker 3: May the forge be with you, Gouble.
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: Brumble. Yeah, all right, we're closing it there, hanging this up.
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: Good job, gentlemen.
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: Again like a Ducks and Razor mades waging, I'm next,
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: and then after time and wagging, I'm bolling wagging. I'm
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: so leaning while I'm s
