- 2:52Speaker 2: you can't do it regular. I mean, you know, I'm
- 2:54Speaker 2: getting used to it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You know, at first, I was very uncomfortable, and I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: very surprised that it stuck. You know, that was just
- 2:58Speaker 1: something we was just kind of vibe, know, like literally
- 3:01Speaker 1: in an episode.
- 3:02Speaker 5: And I'm still trying to find the episode. When I
- 3:04Speaker 5: find the episode, I'm gonna.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Do a clip. I'm gonna clip it up, and we're like,
- 3:07Speaker 2: this is the day that Desert Ray was made. Let
- 3:10Speaker 2: us rejoice, rejoice. But you know, you don't you know
- 3:20Speaker 2: some syllables in there that we can It's some symbols
- 3:23Speaker 2: that ship spears.
- 3:27Speaker 5: But just in case you don't know where you landed,
- 3:28Speaker 5: you landed in the safe space for influencers to decompress,
- 3:32Speaker 5: have fun and guess what, just just ass Okay, listen,
- 3:35Speaker 5: we have a wonderful wonderful guests.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Listen.
- 3:40Speaker 5: We put this in our palm palate. We asked for
- 3:42Speaker 5: this last year. We asked for this last year, and
- 3:47Speaker 5: the Woman of God finally gave us a yes. But
- 3:51Speaker 5: I'm I'm, I am, I am excited. But before we
- 3:55Speaker 5: get into the conversation, because I'm a lost my train
- 4:00Speaker 5: of thought, guess what time it is. It's community highlight time,
- 4:04Speaker 5: Community high time, Community highlight time, and we're working on
- 4:08Speaker 5: that too. We got we gonna do a job, deserate
- 4:11Speaker 5: a job to do to make these effects effects. Okay, yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 5: Desi Raate is doing a great job and I'm just
- 4:18Speaker 5: gonna let her do her job because I don't want
- 4:20Speaker 5: to be bossed.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Y'all already know we already had an argument. We have
- 4:23Speaker 2: an argument.
- 4:25Speaker 5: But anyway back to the communityigh, because you're not gonna
- 4:27Speaker 5: argue right now, all right, your community highlight time, Hey
- 4:31Speaker 5: delil rate you know you know, and she just dropped
- 4:34Speaker 5: in my spear, like just right now, just right now, our.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Girl, Crystal Evans.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yes, we love you, Crystal Evans, like you are out
- 4:43Speaker 1: here doing some major things. You must you more recently
- 4:46Speaker 1: hit the goal of one thousand, one hundred thousand clients,
- 4:51Speaker 1: like training one hundred thousand clients, y'all. Crystal Evans is
- 4:55Speaker 1: the one that's getting me a desi ate to go. Okay,
- 4:57Speaker 1: so if I look slim thick with my cute self, okay, what.
- 5:02Speaker 2: The kids do?
- 5:03Speaker 3: What?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Okay?
- 5:12Speaker 5: Stay focused? All right, Crystal, We thank you. I want
- 5:16Speaker 5: I just want to say thank you, man. Crystal gave
- 5:18Speaker 5: us an opportunity to get disciplined with our fitness, and
- 5:24Speaker 5: getting this discipline with my fitness has gotten me disciplined
- 5:27Speaker 5: in other areas. I slacked off a few a few months,
- 5:30Speaker 5: and I got back together. I was like Crystals, I
- 5:33Speaker 5: was just like Chris this is my fun week consistent,
- 5:35Speaker 5: this is my fifth weeks.
- 5:36Speaker 2: She was like, Okay, I can't wait till week six.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But the pouring and that you're doing and the budget
- 5:42Speaker 1: that you're doing it on for us, Man, I just
- 5:46Speaker 1: want to say thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 5:49Speaker 5: God is going to do exceedingly abundiable of all that
- 5:51Speaker 5: you can ask or think. Okay, and so I cannot
- 5:54Speaker 5: wait till you just continue to grow. She has her
- 5:56Speaker 5: own brand. I can't think of the name right now. Bold,
- 5:59Speaker 5: that's what it's called. I almost said something else, but
- 6:02Speaker 5: it's called Bold. And she has her own nutrition line,
- 6:05Speaker 5: all that good stuff. And so I just I just
- 6:07Speaker 5: really pray that the prayers that you pray over that business,
- 6:12Speaker 5: that prayers aren't answered because you have put seed in
- 6:15Speaker 5: the ground. Don't get it confused. You have definitely put
- 6:19Speaker 5: seed in the ground. There are certain I hear the
- 6:21Speaker 5: Lord say that, there are certain lives that have been
- 6:23Speaker 5: saved because you weren't greedy.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Wooh my god.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Because you weren't greedy. You cared about the woman, you
- 6:31Speaker 5: cared about the man, You cared about the opportunity to
- 6:34Speaker 5: save a life, and you didn't just try to put
- 6:37Speaker 5: like a price tag on that. And so God is
- 6:39Speaker 5: about to do some things. Some miracles make some miracle size,
- 6:42Speaker 5: and one that's even in your household, even for your husband.
- 6:45Speaker 5: As y'all grow together, I'm seeing a camera in y'all face.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I don't know if it's a TV show. I don't
- 6:51Speaker 5: I'm not sure what's going on there. But I just
- 6:54Speaker 5: see God blowing on those things for you. So I
- 6:56Speaker 5: just want to say, we just want to say we
- 6:59Speaker 5: love you, we appreciate, they get you, and thank you.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You know me and devil right, yeah, okay, love you,
- 7:04Speaker 2: see you on Monday, see you on Monday. She was like,
- 7:13Speaker 2: back lunches, I beg you, I'd be so tired of
- 7:20Speaker 2: doing them. So touches on that ground wear me out.
- 7:24Speaker 2: But listen, y'all, today's guests very special. We talk about oil. Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 2: we talk about oil.
- 7:33Speaker 1: You know what.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Delay. I'm gonna let you introduce them.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna let you, gonna put the camera in,
- 7:37Speaker 1: gonna put the camera. I'm gonna let you introduced. I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: gonna let you introduce.
- 7:40Speaker 2: You know, gotta find my butt. She don't know what her,
- 7:42Speaker 2: but hey, you're gonna go together, all right.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep real simple because I'm allowed the woman
- 7:50Speaker 1: of God to introduce herself. Okay, this purpose pusher, Well,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm allowed the purpose pusher to introduce herself. But we
- 7:58Speaker 1: have the opportunity to hear the Amazingique Sanders baby, and.
- 8:06Speaker 5: That that name got some weight on it, Okay, that
- 8:09Speaker 5: we're talking about, not just the mother, not just the wife.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Is she happily marry by the way, I'm just gonna
- 8:15Speaker 5: let you know happily. Just go on her Facebook page.
- 8:18Speaker 5: You'll see evidence clock it. All right, But this this
- 8:22Speaker 5: woman is not to be played with. When she think
- 8:25Speaker 5: about something, she execution. Listen, you hear me by when
- 8:29Speaker 5: I say by any means necessary, it's about that's what
- 8:33Speaker 5: your next T shirt need to say, by any means
- 8:35Speaker 5: necessari Okay you are. I'm just I'm just so excited
- 8:38Speaker 5: about her story and what we're gonna share. I don't
- 8:41Speaker 5: know what God is gonna share in this conversation, but
- 8:42Speaker 5: I already already know. I already prayed, and I'm super
- 8:45Speaker 5: excited for where we're about to lead down news too.
- 8:47Speaker 5: So I would like to welcome my sister, my homegirl,
- 8:52Speaker 5: the the the the the ultimate executor. All right, Aisha
- 8:58Speaker 5: senter tat tat tat tat up read purpose wins?
- 9:12Speaker 2: And then God is that fresh? That's a new tattoo
- 9:15Speaker 2: or they just look they did like that?
- 9:18Speaker 5: Okay, all right. The first one said, come on, bread
- 9:27Speaker 5: a purpose wins. The other ones that God is within her.
- 9:31Speaker 5: She will not fail. Psalms forty six and five. Come on,
- 9:35Speaker 5: you made me stretch my my pupils a little bit
- 9:37Speaker 5: for that on the Psalms. Now, ain't nothing wrong with
- 9:40Speaker 5: that thought?
- 9:41Speaker 2: What's what's up?
- 9:42Speaker 5: Six?
- 9:42Speaker 4: What's up?
- 9:43Speaker 1: What's up?
- 9:44Speaker 2: I feel fine? I feel so at home and welcome.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Wouldn't you be like we we do life outside of
- 9:51Speaker 5: these cameras, So we're not even gonna do that, she says,
- 9:53Speaker 5: she nervous.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all encourage her in them in
- 9:58Speaker 2: the common station. Are you doing a good job? You're
- 10:01Speaker 2: doing a good job. Oh my goodness. So I'm gonna
- 10:04Speaker 2: ask you again and I want the real answer. Okay,
- 10:08Speaker 2: how are you?
- 10:09Speaker 4: I'm great?
- 10:10Speaker 2: Great? What is what is going great for you right now? Life? Life?
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm not gonna find and say that life is perfect,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but life is doing. I'm doing great right now. Yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I'm doing good winning, I'm winning, wirl, I'm seeing it.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I find us good.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Girl, take us there, No, because we don't sit any
- 10:31Speaker 5: we don't sit in it. So what the sitting in
- 10:33Speaker 5: the greatness the fulfillment of God's promises for you?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Look like it's scary?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Even sitting in it is scary because I have to
- 10:44Speaker 1: remind myself every day that I deserve to be here.
- 10:48Speaker 1: That's so good, Like that's real, this is really, this
- 10:52Speaker 1: is really as it is. Like it's scary, but I
- 10:55Speaker 1: am embracing it. I'm embracing it. I'm nervous and exhale
- 11:00Speaker 1: and all at the same time.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Because it's a lot of major, major things going down.
- 11:05Speaker 5: So let's let's get into it. Let's let's get into it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: She don't tell the people to just tell the people
- 11:11Speaker 2: like because we can get we can put yourself. You're
- 11:15Speaker 2: gonna interrupt them, put yourself on the screen, because like
- 11:20Speaker 2: I really, like you really have to tell the people,
- 11:23Speaker 2: like what you do, who you are?
- 11:25Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like we could say that,
- 11:27Speaker 1: but but it's it's sometimes I think it's hard sometimes
- 11:30Speaker 1: for us to really articulate the things that we do
- 11:32Speaker 1: because we we just naturally do them right.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So tell the people who is aisha and what how
- 11:39Speaker 2: do you service your people? You set a.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Mouthful when you said that it's hard to tell people
- 11:45Speaker 1: what it is you do when you're literally, like I literally,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and I'm not fronting y'all at all.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm not front at all, Like I'm literally I have
- 11:54Speaker 1: the privilege to live my life and it's a blessing
- 11:58Speaker 1: to people like I'm doing on what what I was
- 12:01Speaker 1: created to do. If we want to run down a
- 12:04Speaker 1: list of things that I do, I do hair. That's
- 12:07Speaker 1: my first love. My first love is doing hair. I've
- 12:10Speaker 1: been a stylished for eighteen years full time. I've been
- 12:15Speaker 1: doing here for thirty years, thirty years, since I was
- 12:18Speaker 1: fifteen years old. I just turned forty five.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Hold on, hold on, let's get let's get into it.
- 12:24Speaker 5: First of all, Desiread, does she need to pull her
- 12:26Speaker 5: mica up?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Can you hear her? Okay? First of all, she said
- 12:30Speaker 2: she forty five.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Okay, the black don't crack okay, And the body is audience.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, up with that, Okay, If I could be.
- 12:46Speaker 6: With you and body Jessica forty five, forty five, tell
- 12:50Speaker 6: them how many children?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Wait, yeah, let's get to them kids. It's fine.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Oh my, oh my god, same grace, same grace, because
- 13:06Speaker 5: that I know, I know it that that they say.
- 13:09Speaker 5: The reason why it's man is happy because you keep
- 13:12Speaker 5: yourself together, okay, and then you keep the household together.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Uh huh. And then you were bide by the word
- 13:20Speaker 2: of God. We're talking and all things and all things,
- 13:27Speaker 2: oh by by the word of God and all things.
- 13:29Speaker 2: But no, you you you look amazing and you are
- 13:33Speaker 2: amazing man. That's that's so good. But no, you have
- 13:38Speaker 2: five kids, you are married.
- 13:40Speaker 5: But I want us to go back to the beginning
- 13:42Speaker 5: before we get into the brand, okay, because we got
- 13:45Speaker 5: to talk about the brand because you are doing some
- 13:48Speaker 5: some damage in the beauty industry right now. Okay, so
- 13:52Speaker 5: I need you to take us back. So I recently
- 13:55Speaker 5: learned that you're not from Birmingham.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I'm not I'm from LA. I'm from California. You are
- 13:59Speaker 2: from I look for can Ilifornia.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Now, okay, Yeah, I got a thing you song for everything,
- 14:08Speaker 5: But I don't know ADHD.
- 14:10Speaker 4: That's I think I blame it on my love it
- 14:12Speaker 4: sing singing, you can't hold a note in my hand.
- 14:15Speaker 5: You sound like my Auntie Sorrow she swept. But no,
- 14:18Speaker 5: Auntie Toorrow starts singing, you.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Want to some barns, But yeah, I can't hold it.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'm screaming. I am screaming.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, So how do we get from Los Angeles? Subirmiham, like,
- 14:37Speaker 5: can you tell us about that transition?
- 14:39Speaker 2: So?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, the transition was give us the story, don't give me,
- 14:45Speaker 1: don't give me, put me on the camera.
- 14:48Speaker 5: I'm gonna go get your husband and make them sit
- 14:50Speaker 5: by you. If you're not gonna r I want the story.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I want the story. Okay, let's go. Well.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So my mom is originally from here, okay, And when
- 15:00Speaker 1: I graduated high school, like me and my brother had
- 15:03Speaker 1: took her down through there. And when you know, my
- 15:05Speaker 1: mom was the mom that was like you eighteen, you've grown.
- 15:08Speaker 5: You know.
- 15:09Speaker 1: That's a whole other story for another time. And so
- 15:13Speaker 1: when I turned eighteen, I graduated high school, she was out.
- 15:17Speaker 2: She left, she moved. Oh she didn't kick y'all out.
- 15:20Speaker 2: She moved.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Oh my god, I could stay at home.
- 15:23Speaker 1: She moved. She moved to Birmingham. She moved from from
- 15:27Speaker 1: California to Birmingham when I was eighteen. Oh wow, and
- 15:31Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I'll be all right, I can
- 15:33Speaker 1: do it, you know, and supposed to be in school,
- 15:37Speaker 1: you know, in college, but staying with a guy at
- 15:40Speaker 1: the time. And I woke up one day and was like, Hey,
- 15:43Speaker 1: get where your mom at. Get where your mom at.
- 15:47Speaker 4: It was like I knew that I wouldn't thrive where
- 15:50Speaker 4: I was.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was. I just heard a still small voice.
- 15:57Speaker 2: At the time.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I didn't know it was God, yeah, you know, but
- 16:00Speaker 4: it was like, get where your mom at and you
- 16:02Speaker 4: followed it. I followed it, and I got on a
- 16:05Speaker 4: Greyhound bus.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Now did you leave your brother by by himself?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Well, no, my my brother was actually incarcerated at the time.
- 16:12Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. We took my mama threw it,
- 16:14Speaker 1: so my brother was in jail. I had graduated high
- 16:16Speaker 1: school and she was like, Hey, I'm gonna go live.
- 16:18Speaker 2: My life now. Is your brother older or younger? Brother
- 16:20Speaker 2: is older?
- 16:21Speaker 4: My mom had my brother when she was fifteen. She
- 16:23Speaker 4: had me when she was thirty.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Oh that's a gap. That's a game. That's a gap.
- 16:27Speaker 2: That's a gap. That's a gap. That's a gap.
- 16:29Speaker 4: My god, that's a gap.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And in her words, in.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Her words, one of us was an accident and the
- 16:36Speaker 4: other one was a mistake.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Oh wait what Yeah, so she labeled you as a mistake. Yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 5: and so at what time did well, I was the accident,
- 16:48Speaker 5: it was the mistake.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I was the accident. So she won it. Oh oh, okay,
- 16:53Speaker 2: that's what that was. Okay, all right, So how did
- 16:57Speaker 2: how did Okay? I don't. I don't know how I
- 17:00Speaker 2: would digest that if neither one of my parents have
- 17:02Speaker 2: said that to me. So how did that affect you?
- 17:04Speaker 2: Growing up? Knowing that that's how she felt.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I don't even don't. I don't think I consciously just
- 17:12Speaker 1: really digested her saying that. I think I noticed, probably
- 17:17Speaker 1: when I was about maybe sixteen or seventeen years old,
- 17:20Speaker 1: that I was allowing it to affect me. But at
- 17:24Speaker 1: the time that she said it, I may have been
- 17:25Speaker 1: about maybe ten or eleven the first time I heard
- 17:28Speaker 1: her saying. Now. One thing I will say is I
- 17:29Speaker 1: never forgot. I never forgot because I became an aunt
- 17:34Speaker 1: at four five. So my brother had his first baby
- 17:37Speaker 1: when he was fifteen sixteen something like that, and all
- 17:43Speaker 1: I knew at like five years old, was like, I'm
- 17:45Speaker 1: not having a baby when I'm fifteen.
- 17:47Speaker 2: So I already knew.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I knew as a child that I was gonna break cycles.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I didn't know how, I.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Didn't know how.
- 17:54Speaker 2: At five I remember, yeah, I've told this story before.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I can just remember being five years looking out of
- 18:01Speaker 1: the window of my grandmother's house being like, I'm gonna
- 18:06Speaker 1: leave here when I get older, you know how, you
- 18:08Speaker 1: just know, like and I don't want to say that
- 18:11Speaker 1: a lot of things were wrong with my family on
- 18:15Speaker 1: either side, so I don't don't get me wrong, I
- 18:16Speaker 1: don't want to say that.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I just always knew that I was different.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, not bad or just different, just different.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I always knew that there was something different always, and
- 18:26Speaker 1: so my my mind was just always on. I didn't
- 18:29Speaker 1: know where I was going to go, I didn't know
- 18:30Speaker 1: how I was going to get there, but I just
- 18:32Speaker 1: knew it was there was gonna be something different about me.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I'm about to joke, I would try to look, I
- 18:43Speaker 1: would trying to I was about to choke you.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm good.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Okay, things that happen on camera, no, but that that's good.
- 18:55Speaker 5: So at what point like, so you come, you moved
- 18:58Speaker 5: from LA from which you so you break you break.
- 19:02Speaker 2: It off with him? Yeah? Yeah, what's the year? The
- 19:06Speaker 2: year was I broke it off? Oh?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Absolutely done deal? So what so you're are you still
- 19:13Speaker 1: eighteen when you move? Or so I'm I'm nineteen when
- 19:17Speaker 1: I get here. Okay, I'm nineteen when I get here.
- 19:21Speaker 1: And little did I know what I was pregnant when
- 19:23Speaker 1: I got here.
- 19:23Speaker 2: By the man that you had broke it off? Yes?
- 19:26Speaker 4: Wow, yes, yes, yeah. I just remember waking up one morning.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I was like, I got to get to where my
- 19:31Speaker 4: mom is.
- 19:33Speaker 1: And I think even if I knew, because I've had
- 19:37Speaker 1: one of my children to ask me recently, like mine,
- 19:39Speaker 1: if you knew that you were pregnant, you know before
- 19:41Speaker 1: you came to Alabama, would you still have come?
- 19:43Speaker 4: I would have.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I still would have.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I probably would have gotten here even fat quicker. Yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I would have gotten here even quicker. So I was like, yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 1: let me get where my mamad because what am I doing?
- 19:53Speaker 2: So did she receive you when you got here?
- 19:56Speaker 1: She did?
- 19:56Speaker 2: She did.
- 19:57Speaker 1: She received me when I got here. It wasn't a
- 19:59Speaker 1: when she left. There wasn't like this horrible like hey,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm getting away from y'all. She was just like, hey,
- 20:05Speaker 1: y'all grown, you want to live over there with him,
- 20:08Speaker 1: your brother doing him?
- 20:09Speaker 2: I'm I'm out. Oh so yeah, so she was because
- 20:12Speaker 2: you were taking her through it. She was like, I'm done.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I legally don't have to do nothing.
- 20:16Speaker 4: And so that's my And I can't even blame her
- 20:18Speaker 4: for that, because I was, hell, what what does that
- 20:21Speaker 4: look like?
- 20:22Speaker 2: Though?
- 20:22Speaker 4: What does hell look like?
- 20:25Speaker 5: The hell?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I was.
- 20:28Speaker 1: What the Bible describes hell? Okay, putting through her her
- 20:36Speaker 1: mama through hell look like like I am the And
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't want to make my mom sound like this
- 20:44Speaker 1: horrible person because she was a great mom.
- 20:45Speaker 4: She did the absolutely best that she did. But my
- 20:47Speaker 4: mom created this monster.
- 20:50Speaker 1: That she literally couldn't control anymore. My mom was very timid,
- 20:54Speaker 1: very She wasn't shy, but she was a very timid woman.
- 20:59Speaker 1: She had been in a lot of abusive relationships.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Okay, and here it is.
- 21:04Speaker 1: She has this little girl that is very strong minded,
- 21:08Speaker 1: like I speak my mind and all of those things,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and I see it in my daughters. And I would
- 21:13Speaker 1: just be four or five years old and I would
- 21:15Speaker 1: be like, well, why does he do that?
- 21:17Speaker 2: Or why does she do that. That's stupid, that's dumb,
- 21:19Speaker 2: you know.
- 21:19Speaker 1: And instead of my mama like correcting me or showing
- 21:25Speaker 1: me a better way to say it, or saying, hey,
- 21:26Speaker 1: like I told my girls, it's okay to think that,
- 21:28Speaker 1: but you don't always have to say it, she literally
- 21:32Speaker 1: lived vicariously through my mouth, like, so.
- 21:35Speaker 2: You said the way things that she wanted to say.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Yeah, And so in places where she was never able
- 21:40Speaker 1: to really take up for herself, she always I don't
- 21:43Speaker 1: know if her fear was that I would be timid
- 21:45Speaker 1: like that, and so she would always be like, tell them, baby,
- 21:48Speaker 1: don't never hold your tongue, you know, I always tell them.
- 21:50Speaker 4: But there was no guidance with that. There was no
- 21:53Speaker 4: guidance with that.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Clearly, at the age of five, you could see that
- 21:56Speaker 1: I would be a leader, know one day, because I
- 21:58Speaker 1: see it in my girls.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but it has to be you have to guide that.
- 22:03Speaker 4: You can't just you can't let that go like that.
- 22:05Speaker 2: And so I'd be like, okay.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And by the time I was sixteen years old, people
- 22:09Speaker 1: couldn't stand and see me coming because I hadn't told you.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I kind of cussed you out. I didn't respect the
- 22:14Speaker 1: notes like, my mom didn't require me to do that
- 22:16Speaker 1: kind of stuff. Whatever I had to do to take
- 22:19Speaker 1: up for myself, whatever I had to do to feel strong,
- 22:21Speaker 1: that's what she allowed me to do.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And so I was just like a loose cannon.
- 22:25Speaker 5: But it also sounds like your mom was trying to
- 22:27Speaker 5: heal through you too, because she wasn't able to vocalize,
- 22:33Speaker 5: or she was timid, or she was afraid because being
- 22:36Speaker 5: an abusive relationship. I think I've said my story before
- 22:40Speaker 5: or whatever. If you haven't got through gold TikTok, I'm
- 22:42Speaker 5: not finna talk about it now, but one of the
- 22:45Speaker 5: things I've had to overcome is being timid and saying
- 22:49Speaker 5: stuff people think. I always like speak my mind or
- 22:51Speaker 5: anything like that, but some of the stuff I really
- 22:53Speaker 5: want to say, there's a fear that's attached to it
- 22:56Speaker 5: because I don't I don't know the repercussions of is
- 23:00Speaker 5: being said. And so I could see my I could
- 23:02Speaker 5: see or understand her point of view of like you
- 23:05Speaker 5: say it, because it's almost like that's the bird.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I wish I could say that you know what I'm saying,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and you the product of me. So I'm proud that
- 23:12Speaker 2: I got somebody that'll speak up. You know what I'm saying.
- 23:15Speaker 2: So I can feel you on that, like, thank you mama.
- 23:17Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. We might not have done
- 23:18Speaker 2: it the right way, but I can get yea, why
- 23:21Speaker 2: she why she did it? Okay?
- 23:22Speaker 5: So you so fast forward. You come to Birmingham, you're nineteen,
- 23:26Speaker 5: you pregnant, When you find out you pregnant, Where do
- 23:29Speaker 5: we go from there? Does a baby daddy come come
- 23:32Speaker 5: to Birmingham with you?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Well?
- 23:35Speaker 4: I actually, you know, I called. I let him know.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I was like, hey, you know we gonna have a baby.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Now, let me say this. When I got here, I
- 23:42Speaker 1: didn't know I was pregnant. I got here in September.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I didn't find out until Halloween that I was pregnant.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And by the time I found out, I was six
- 23:50Speaker 1: months pregnant. Wow, Like what sent me to the emergency
- 23:55Speaker 1: room was my baby doing a whole flip?
- 23:58Speaker 2: Like I was like, hey, what what is that?
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:02Speaker 2: You were six month pri then.
- 24:04Speaker 1: So when I found out I was pregnant. I found
- 24:06Speaker 1: out I was pregnant. I found out it was a boy.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I found out everything all in one day.
- 24:10Speaker 2: So how did you process that?
- 24:12Speaker 1: I didn't I was like, and for me, I had
- 24:16Speaker 1: failed because I was nineteen, the teen was on the end.
- 24:20Speaker 2: You know, my whole life.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I had been I'm not having a baby as a teenager.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm not having a baby as a teenager, like I'm not.
- 24:26Speaker 2: And so I failed.
- 24:31Speaker 4: But at the same time, I was like, I got
- 24:33Speaker 4: a whole life to take care of and life is
- 24:37Speaker 4: going to.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Be different for him, yeah than it was for me.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So that and yeah, it motivated me.
- 24:42Speaker 1: And there was no there wasn't even any any thought
- 24:47Speaker 1: of trying to rekindle what I had broken off because
- 24:50Speaker 1: I knew that my baby would be better off. And
- 24:52Speaker 1: then once I found out I was having a son,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I knew I was staying in Birmingham. There was no
- 24:57Speaker 1: way I was to where I could afford to stay
- 24:58Speaker 1: in LA. I was gonna raise my son there.
- 25:01Speaker 2: So what was his response when you told him?
- 25:03Speaker 4: His response was if he's mine, you'll come home.
- 25:07Speaker 5: There was a question or a statement that was a statement.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I guess he forgot who he was talking to. Oh, okay, he.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Might still be waiting on me to come home.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Five years later, I was screaming, twenty five, Oh my goodness,
- 25:24Speaker 1: So you have this baby, right, where are you?
- 25:28Speaker 5: Where are you mentally? Because I know you was like,
- 25:30Speaker 5: you're pushing. Is this when the entrepreneur entrepreneurship starts or
- 25:34Speaker 5: are you just working?
- 25:35Speaker 2: Are you grinding?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Like?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Where's are here at this point?
- 25:37Speaker 1: So I'm working at this point, like I'm trying to
- 25:41Speaker 1: for me, Birmingham is a clean slate. You know, I
- 25:44Speaker 1: ain't I ain't burnt no bridges here, I ain't messed
- 25:48Speaker 1: over nobody, you know, I ain't done all the things
- 25:50Speaker 1: that I'm known for. Yeah here, So it's a clean slate.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And I got a baby, you know, let me get focused.
- 25:56Speaker 1: And so by the time he was six, by the
- 25:59Speaker 1: time he was about six weeks old. Because let me
- 26:01Speaker 1: say this, I did not I did not like Birmingham.
- 26:03Speaker 1: When I first got here.
- 26:05Speaker 2: It was slow.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I was familiar with Birmingham because I was spending summers
- 26:09Speaker 1: here and I knew I needed to be with my mom.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But there was this dread of dang you about to
- 26:15Speaker 1: live here? Yeah, you know, but I got really focused.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I just went into Mimmi Moe and I never wanted kids.
- 26:23Speaker 1: I never wanted kids, like I'm supposed to be like
- 26:26Speaker 1: a lawyer living.
- 26:28Speaker 2: On a hill that's what you're supposed to be doing. Yes, Yes,
- 26:33Speaker 2: that's what I'm supposed to be Yes. But the Lord,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I'm glad the Lord brought you here. Oh bah bah,
- 26:40Speaker 2: I'm so glad too. So yeah, real bad, real bad.
- 26:45Speaker 2: So I want to get to that.
- 26:47Speaker 5: I'm trying to because I'm trying to journey there because
- 26:50Speaker 5: one thing about it.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Two things.
- 26:51Speaker 5: But show you are happily married. I am you happily married?
- 26:55Speaker 5: So we go from having a child and being a
- 27:01Speaker 5: teenage mother. I want to I want to know about
- 27:05Speaker 5: the gap from being there to the second child because
- 27:09Speaker 5: the second child is this is this in uh in marriage,
- 27:13Speaker 5: pre marriage, pre marriage, but this with this, with this,
- 27:16Speaker 5: with the okay, cool, So I need to how do
- 27:19Speaker 5: we even meet the man?
- 27:22Speaker 6: Clubb that's what y'auld listen to, y'all in the club God,
- 27:30Speaker 6: that's what you was in the What's Detailing?
- 27:33Speaker 1: God?
- 27:34Speaker 4: He was in that seawalking. That's how he got me.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Now you want you weren't doing this seawalks.
- 27:40Speaker 4: He was seawalking with a whole Dickie suit on.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I remember everything he had on. He had on a
- 27:45Speaker 1: kaki color and he had on a kaki He had
- 27:50Speaker 1: on a kaki colored dicky suit. He had on a
- 27:51Speaker 1: khaki little you know, we call him beanies at home,
- 27:54Speaker 1: but a skull cap.
- 27:55Speaker 2: And for me, it was just familiar.
- 27:58Speaker 1: It was home because you in the middle of this
- 28:01Speaker 1: club with all these guys with all these gold teeth
- 28:04Speaker 1: and these shirts. Because now, mind y'all win with two
- 28:07Speaker 1: thousand and three, two thousand and three. So they got
- 28:11Speaker 1: on shirts, they got on baggy jeans with sparkly stuff.
- 28:15Speaker 4: On the on the on the pockets.
- 28:18Speaker 2: You know, that's not that's that soldiable era.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 4: And and just the grills and the and the and
- 28:23Speaker 4: the braids and all of that.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And me being an l a girl, just crease up
- 28:26Speaker 1: your little crease up your khakis and a T shirt
- 28:29Speaker 1: and some clean white shoes.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it. And so he feel familiar.
- 28:33Speaker 4: He felt familiar, and he was in the club by himself.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Oh, now they don't do that. Yeah, they don't do that.
- 28:41Speaker 5: They gotta have somebody, they gotta have you. You're right,
- 28:44Speaker 5: you're right, you're right. So that attracted attract you, Okay,
- 28:47Speaker 5: And so how long did y'all date before y'all got married?
- 28:50Speaker 5: And how did you know because this is a lot
- 28:52Speaker 5: of questions, A lot of questions that a lot of
- 28:54Speaker 5: our yours have because we have like a lot of
- 28:56Speaker 5: single women that follow the brand.
- 29:00Speaker 2: How did you know that he was your one?
- 29:02Speaker 5: Because I can only imagine because I haven't heard you
- 29:04Speaker 5: say anything about your dad.
- 29:05Speaker 2: You witness your brother in jail.
- 29:07Speaker 5: You left this no good person right, and now you're
- 29:12Speaker 5: giving this man and a Kaki dickish too that called
- 29:15Speaker 5: by himself seawalking a chance.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Yeah, how does that transformation happen?
- 29:22Speaker 1: So, like we tell everybody, we got to get a
- 29:25Speaker 1: love story, like I love our getto love.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Story, like for real, I don't necessarily When did I
- 29:34Speaker 4: know he was the one?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Now, let me say this because I'm I'm I'm always
- 29:38Speaker 1: real and transparent, Like what you see today is not.
- 29:42Speaker 1: We've always been happy together, we've always loved each other.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But when two broken people get together, it's very toxic.
- 29:51Speaker 1: And so even though we have this beautiful love story, like,
- 29:54Speaker 1: it didn't start out healthy. It didn't start out healthy because,
- 29:58Speaker 1: like you said, talked about my father. You haven't heard
- 30:01Speaker 1: me talk about my father. But I knew Jamail would
- 30:05Speaker 1: drop anybody for me, like physically, like like.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Like I talking about like I knew that was actual.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and see, like nobody's ever like I've always
- 30:18Speaker 1: had to fight for myself. I've always had to fight
- 30:21Speaker 1: for myself. So you haven't been protected, and I felt protected.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I felt protected two things. I felt protected.
- 30:29Speaker 4: And Jamail never promised me a scene.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Why Why is that important?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Because anybody that had ever promised me anything had broken
- 30:38Speaker 1: the promise disappointment.
- 30:40Speaker 5: So he his it was his actions because he was like,
- 30:43Speaker 5: I don't have to say anything, I'm just gonna do it.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And on one hand, you know, most most women wouldn't
- 30:48Speaker 1: wouldn't like that because you you know, you want to
- 30:51Speaker 1: hear a man talk about how I'm gonna give you
- 30:52Speaker 1: the world and I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna
- 30:54Speaker 1: do that. But if you don't tell me what you're doing,
- 30:57Speaker 1: I'm not really expecting you to come through.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, So just come through what you're gonna do.
- 31:02Speaker 1: And Jamel he's like that today. That's one of the
- 31:04Speaker 1: things that I love about him. If he if there's
- 31:07Speaker 1: a possibility that he can't come through on something, he's
- 31:09Speaker 1: not gonna say, he's not gonna promise you he can
- 31:12Speaker 1: do anything.
- 31:12Speaker 4: He's not gonna do that. He is he is a
- 31:15Speaker 4: man of his word. He is a man of his word, and.
- 31:18Speaker 2: That's something that I hadn't experienced.
- 31:19Speaker 4: And so it was kind of like a.
- 31:23Speaker 1: There was like this unspoken assurance, you know what I mean,
- 31:26Speaker 1: Like I know for sure that we were supposed.
- 31:28Speaker 2: To be together.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah shoo, we have gotten married. At the time that
- 31:31Speaker 1: we got married, I don't think so. I think we
- 31:33Speaker 1: both had a lot of healing to do.
- 31:35Speaker 5: So if you went back, what would he to that point?
- 31:39Speaker 5: What would you suggest somebody that people in that age?
- 31:43Speaker 5: Because what how old were y'all at the time I.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Was when we got married, I was twenty five and
- 31:48Speaker 4: you were twenty four.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, oh he young. Oh, we just put it all
- 31:57Speaker 2: out there. He told me he was older.
- 32:00Speaker 4: He lied about his See, so we can't leave that story.
- 32:03Speaker 1: We can't leave that story because you know, how how
- 32:06Speaker 1: did you know or how were you comfortable with him?
- 32:08Speaker 1: And even in all of this, like so we started
- 32:10Speaker 1: staying together. To you, y'all, hear my story, but don't
- 32:14Speaker 1: don't do what we did.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Okay, hear my story.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Be inspired, but don't do what we did.
- 32:21Speaker 1: So we started staying together and he was at he
- 32:24Speaker 1: was at work one day and he had left his
- 32:26Speaker 1: wallet at the house and his wallet was kind of
- 32:28Speaker 1: like open and his eye his driver's license was right there,
- 32:32Speaker 1: and I was like, nineteen eighty one.
- 32:36Speaker 2: That started. You started calculating live it. I was like,
- 32:45Speaker 2: this ain't even in the first lit though, Like okay,
- 32:48Speaker 2: there we go. Okay, because he doesn't He's not lied
- 32:51Speaker 2: til this point.
- 32:53Speaker 4: You've been perfect. So you call home on your break
- 32:56Speaker 4: and I'm like, have you ever lied to me?
- 32:58Speaker 1: He was like, wait, you should always when a woman,
- 33:02Speaker 1: it's a whole set up. It's a whole set up.
- 33:04Speaker 4: And he was like, man, I ain't ever lie to
- 33:07Speaker 4: you by number of my age? Wait you on your
- 33:12Speaker 4: way home?
- 33:14Speaker 2: Because you could yet.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Because what did they do? Like you gave him opportunity
- 33:19Speaker 5: to tell the truth and held.
- 33:21Speaker 4: It and didn't have to think about It's not like
- 33:23Speaker 4: he had to be like what could she have found out?
- 33:24Speaker 2: What could you know? What I mean, there was none
- 33:26Speaker 2: of that.
- 33:26Speaker 1: It was just, man, the only thing I ever lied
- 33:28Speaker 1: to you about was my age. And so there I
- 33:31Speaker 1: am with the I d like, okay, and it did matter.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I'm mad, but we're gonna be all right because you
- 33:40Speaker 1: just told the truth.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Now did he tell you why he why he lied
- 33:45Speaker 2: about his age? What did he I think he said,
- 33:49Speaker 2: because I looked and we're talking about im. Because he
- 33:56Speaker 2: comes to the come to the mic. Man of God.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Just come, come on.
- 33:59Speaker 5: We wanted we want to hear why you Just come
- 34:01Speaker 5: right what des ray is and come explain yourself because
- 34:05Speaker 5: we were talking. We're talking about you.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Real bad right now. But you are a good man
- 34:09Speaker 2: of God. Why you lie about your age? Because I
- 34:13Speaker 2: always gave myself an extra year because you know, I
- 34:16Speaker 2: expected you know, people expect to live.
- 34:19Speaker 1: To the next year.
- 34:23Speaker 2: When you have come to the mic, come to the mic,
- 34:26Speaker 2: I just, you know, because I.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Didn't have an expectation to live the next year, so
- 34:31Speaker 1: I gave myself an extra year.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I just I just hoped that year. And that's all
- 34:36Speaker 2: it was. So he prophesied over himself. That's what he
- 34:40Speaker 2: That's what he just said. Did you ever hear that
- 34:41Speaker 2: answer before?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Oh?
- 34:44Speaker 2: That meant? What does that when you hear that answer?
- 34:46Speaker 2: What does what does that do to you?
- 34:54Speaker 1: It reminds me of what your voice. It reminds me
- 34:58Speaker 1: of the power of your words. Like y'alls me up.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I laughed until he started. He said because people
- 35:07Speaker 5: said I wasn't gonna make it to the next year.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So he went lying. Now we can't say he was lying.
- 35:12Speaker 2: He was prophesying. He was man that.
- 35:17Speaker 5: Okay, sir, we're gonna we're gonna send you your invite
- 35:20Speaker 5: in a minute. Okay, we're gonna we're gonna send you
- 35:23Speaker 5: your invite. DJ No, no that you kind of you
- 35:29Speaker 5: kind of we was. We was on the floor and
- 35:31Speaker 5: you kind of like. It's something when a powerful man
- 35:38Speaker 5: walk in the room and then he speaks, it do
- 35:41Speaker 5: damage to hell. Yeah, it does, damn because that's what
- 35:44Speaker 5: they're telling our black men, like they're not gonna make
- 35:47Speaker 5: it to the next day, the next month, they're alone,
- 35:49Speaker 5: next year. But he said, no, I'm gonna make it
- 35:51Speaker 5: to this year. So so the question is how old
- 35:53Speaker 5: are you today? What's the age today?
- 35:57Speaker 2: Okay you still are you still doing that?
- 36:01Speaker 1: No?
- 36:02Speaker 2: Okay, we ain't lied about our age.
- 36:06Speaker 1: No.
- 36:06Speaker 2: That's so.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Now we get to the over the prophet signing moment. Right,
- 36:12Speaker 5: So because you can't say you lie. No moment after
- 36:15Speaker 5: after this moment, you can't say he lied. That's that's
- 36:17Speaker 5: a different story. Now, So y'all get married at twenty
- 36:21Speaker 5: four twenty five and so.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Y'all, but y'all, you're pregnant before marriage?
- 36:29Speaker 4: Yes, so we had.
- 36:32Speaker 1: We had Joshua seven months before we got married. Okay,
- 36:37Speaker 1: so that was like pre the Lord in our life.
- 36:41Speaker 5: So let's talk about that because some people, y'all have
- 36:45Speaker 5: made it. It's almost like y'all.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Have grown up. We have grown up together. Yeah, emotionally,
- 36:51Speaker 2: what does that look like?
- 36:52Speaker 5: Because I know personally people that started out young in
- 36:56Speaker 5: their marriage and there I'm they're experiencing like a whirlwind
- 37:00Speaker 5: because there's different development going on, there's different attacks going on.
- 37:06Speaker 5: And when you when you're young and you're married, it's
- 37:08Speaker 5: the puppul love. But then marriage is different when you're
- 37:12Speaker 5: you know, older, it means different. Like what has been
- 37:14Speaker 5: the biggest, you know, transitional moment, a point that you
- 37:19Speaker 5: can say, this is what changed our marriage or this
- 37:21Speaker 5: is what made sure our marriage was solid.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Wow, so many pivotal moments because there's so much evolution
- 37:38Speaker 1: in marriage. So the first will probably be the first
- 37:42Speaker 1: transition in our marriage would be when God spoke and
- 37:46Speaker 1: told us that we would have two daughters.
- 37:49Speaker 2: We already had.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Two sons with no money, just the love of God
- 37:55Speaker 1: and a little match box apartment, like where we gonna
- 37:58Speaker 1: put where we're gonna with two girls.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Now, at the point that you received that word, did
- 38:03Speaker 2: you believe in the prophetic or were you it makes sense?
- 38:08Speaker 4: No, it didn't make sense to me at all. And
- 38:10Speaker 4: for me to ida bely hear God say that.
- 38:12Speaker 1: To me, Oh he said it to you nobody? Oh
- 38:16Speaker 1: why said it to me? And I was like freaking
- 38:20Speaker 1: out because I didn't grow up in church.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Well, let me say this.
- 38:24Speaker 2: I went to church, but.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a whole other thing.
- 38:30Speaker 1: But the church that I went to, they didn't believe
- 38:32Speaker 1: in speaking in tongues, they didn't believe in being filled
- 38:34Speaker 1: with the whole, they didn't believe in laying on hands,
- 38:36Speaker 1: they didn't believe in any of that. So all of like,
- 38:39Speaker 1: hearing God's voice like that was something new to me,
- 38:41Speaker 1: But I knew, I knew that it was God.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Like I will never forget. I was in the kitchen cooking.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Tacos and heard the clearest day, clearest day only with
- 38:51Speaker 1: certain things, only with certain things. And God's words to
- 38:55Speaker 1: me in that moment was believe me for two girls,
- 38:58Speaker 1: not necessarily that you have. He said, believe me for
- 39:01Speaker 1: two girls. And I remember going and sitting and sitting
- 39:06Speaker 1: on the couch next to Jamel, and I was like, Hey,
- 39:10Speaker 1: how many children do you want? And he was like,
- 39:14Speaker 1: it would be nice to have a girl. You know,
- 39:16Speaker 1: we got the boys, it'll be nice to have a girl.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And I was like, I just heard something, you know,
- 39:22Speaker 1: and he was like what. And I was like, God
- 39:24Speaker 1: just told me to believe him for two girls. And
- 39:27Speaker 1: so Jamel was like two well, well, like how did
- 39:30Speaker 1: he say, you know? And now he wants to know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: like what the conversation was, and I'm just sitting there.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I'm like, that's what he said, like literally, that's what
- 39:37Speaker 1: he said. And I think I ended up finding out
- 39:39Speaker 1: maybe about two weeks.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Later that I was pregnant. Oh wow.
- 39:43Speaker 4: So for me, I'm like, I heard God, I'm pregnant,
- 39:46Speaker 4: and here we go.
- 39:48Speaker 2: I was excited. Wow, I was excited.
- 39:51Speaker 5: So your experience and I'm so glad you're saying this
- 39:54Speaker 5: right now, because sometimes we limit, not sometimes a lot
- 39:57Speaker 5: of times we limit God moment to the church or
- 40:02Speaker 5: depending on people to say certain things. But people will
- 40:07Speaker 5: be like something told me or da da da da,
- 40:09Speaker 5: and you not even being a full believer, like really
- 40:12Speaker 5: understanding what's going on and to hear something and to
- 40:18Speaker 5: call it God, and then two weeks later know that
- 40:22Speaker 5: you're pregnant, and so you're like, oh, I already know
- 40:23Speaker 5: it's a girl. Like like, I already know it's a girl.
- 40:26Speaker 5: That's a different level of faith. That's a different level
- 40:29Speaker 5: of faith. And so so speaking of your girls, and
- 40:31Speaker 5: I'm walking down to hear that if it to to
- 40:36Speaker 5: to be pregnant, to know that it's a girl, only
- 40:40Speaker 5: to find out that it was a boy.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Oh, three sons. Yeah, so the two sons were your
- 40:46Speaker 2: your son before.
- 40:48Speaker 1: My son, my my my son before I met Jamel.
- 40:53Speaker 1: And then the son that we had together at this
- 40:55Speaker 1: point is maybe six months old seven.
- 41:00Speaker 2: No, this is right after.
- 41:01Speaker 1: This is right after we got married, so he had
- 41:03Speaker 1: to be maybe about nine ten months old.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so this third child was a son, was a.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Son, and so there it was, Yeah, you don't hear God,
- 41:17Speaker 1: And so now I doubt everything I hear because.
- 41:20Speaker 2: You told me that I would.
- 41:22Speaker 4: You said believe me for two girls, and I'm pregnant
- 41:28Speaker 4: and I'm out here just proclaiming that I didn't heard you,
- 41:32Speaker 4: and I'm carrying this little girl, only to find out
- 41:34Speaker 4: that it's a little boy.
- 41:38Speaker 2: So what was your relationship after you found out with God?
- 41:42Speaker 1: Like?
- 41:43Speaker 2: What did that? How did that cause? I know you said,
- 41:45Speaker 2: oh I don't hear him, but like we were good,
- 41:48Speaker 2: Me and God were good. This is the thing.
- 41:50Speaker 1: I never doubted God. I doubt it myself. I never
- 41:54Speaker 1: doubted God. There was something wrong with me. There was
- 41:57Speaker 1: a reason why I didn't hear clear.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Was at the first? Was that so your your hope
- 42:03Speaker 2: in yourself diluted?
- 42:05Speaker 5: That's that's crazy coming I won't say crazy, but that's
- 42:07Speaker 5: wild coming from you because you believe in yourself so much,
- 42:11Speaker 5: like you've done so much, you have so much evidence
- 42:13Speaker 5: of execution. Yeah, but what you see, that's what I say,
- 42:17Speaker 5: And that's what I'm talking about, Like, that's what I see,
- 42:20Speaker 5: and but that's maybe not what what you experienced. So
- 42:23Speaker 5: at that moment, So when you how long was it
- 42:27Speaker 5: before because you got this third child?
- 42:28Speaker 2: But the fourth child was the girl? Okay, so when
- 42:33Speaker 2: that did happen? How did that?
- 42:36Speaker 5: Did that?
- 42:36Speaker 2: Did your you start believing in yourself? Like what was
- 42:38Speaker 2: your belief system?
- 42:39Speaker 1: Like it was it was a this this moment in
- 42:45Speaker 1: time for us having Isaiah and still knowing that. So
- 42:51Speaker 1: at this you gotta understand. We've had Isaiah, we understand
- 42:55Speaker 1: and know that God has said that believe him for
- 42:57Speaker 1: two girls. So the devastation of it is, hey, we've
- 43:00Speaker 1: don'na have five children, you know what I mean, Like
- 43:02Speaker 1: we don't have the money, and.
- 43:03Speaker 5: Now you didn't want to be a mother. He just
- 43:06Speaker 5: wanted what did he want? Originally just a few kids
- 43:10Speaker 5: and be done.
- 43:11Speaker 2: Like I want him to tell his own story. I
- 43:15Speaker 2: want to tell his story.
- 43:17Speaker 1: But like he was on some twisted stuff and so
- 43:19Speaker 1: something was like that's why I say, like we love
- 43:22Speaker 1: each other and we've been through so much, but like
- 43:23Speaker 1: I should have been This should have been a red
- 43:25Speaker 1: flag because he wanted two children. Like we're talking about
- 43:29Speaker 1: this pre marriage, like pre me being pregnant with who
- 43:33Speaker 1: with Joshua.
- 43:34Speaker 4: We call him fat. Everybody knows miss fat, and we're
- 43:36Speaker 4: talking about fat. This is pre fact.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we ain't got no children, we ain't got no
- 43:41Speaker 1: ties together. We just chilling and like in casual conversation,
- 43:44Speaker 1: he was like, yeah, I want two baby mamas.
- 43:47Speaker 4: What I want a girl with one and I want
- 43:49Speaker 4: a boy with the other.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Ain't over at laughing because he knows, but like, and I'm.
- 43:56Speaker 1: You know, I'm so free in my life right now,
- 43:58Speaker 1: y'all could judge me and feel how I got the.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Man and he got five pod period?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Clock it because you know they be judging man happy
- 44:09Speaker 1: to be married. Well no, like I'm judging myself though, Like, baby,
- 44:12Speaker 1: what was what was so wrong with you that you
- 44:14Speaker 1: weren't like, hey, let me.
- 44:14Speaker 4: Get my stuff and get abody here. And I was
- 44:18Speaker 4: just like, okay, if that's what you want.
- 44:23Speaker 2: But in my mind, no, no, no, no, no, let's
- 44:25Speaker 2: go let's go back.
- 44:26Speaker 5: Okay, So I ain't gonna act like I ain't done
- 44:28Speaker 5: nothing crazy before, like okay, so what what would you say?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Uh?
- 44:35Speaker 2: Formed that response that you would be like, okay, it's
- 44:40Speaker 2: okay to have two baby mamas.
- 44:42Speaker 4: I don't think I at that point that we had
- 44:45Speaker 4: that conversation.
- 44:46Speaker 2: I don't think like I saw us married.
- 44:49Speaker 1: I don't think I saw all of that like because
- 44:53Speaker 1: that was never marriage was never anything that in all
- 44:56Speaker 1: of this is pre knowing who Christ is.
- 44:59Speaker 4: You get I'm saying, this is before we accept Christ.
- 45:02Speaker 4: So like and even us getting married.
- 45:06Speaker 2: There was never a.
- 45:09Speaker 1: There was never an engagement. There there was an engagement
- 45:13Speaker 1: There was never a proposal. There was never there was
- 45:15Speaker 1: a decision that was made because we had come to
- 45:19Speaker 1: know God, we were staying together. We had we had Josh,
- 45:22Speaker 1: we had cool, we living together.
- 45:25Speaker 4: We ain't finna change that.
- 45:26Speaker 2: We know that we want to be together.
- 45:28Speaker 1: But now Conviction his city, and so if we're not
- 45:32Speaker 1: going to separate, let's do it right.
- 45:35Speaker 2: So, at what point did y'all did? Y'all started going
- 45:37Speaker 2: to church? Was a small group. Okay, what church was this?
- 45:39Speaker 1: So this was this was Harvest Church. We remembers of
- 45:44Speaker 1: Harvest Church in the beginning, which was his family's church.
- 45:46Speaker 1: He didn't want to go to his family's church, and
- 45:49Speaker 1: I didn't want to go to my mom's church. So
- 45:51Speaker 1: he loved to go to my mom's church because you know,
- 45:53Speaker 1: and I'm not going to name that church, but we
- 45:55Speaker 1: loved to go to church with her.
- 45:56Speaker 4: It was all the hooping and you know, all the
- 45:58Speaker 4: all of the things.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and I loved his mom's church because I had never,
- 46:04Speaker 1: like I had never up until that point, experienced the
- 46:09Speaker 1: word being taught like that, like I had always been
- 46:12Speaker 1: in experiences where there was a lot of hooping, There
- 46:14Speaker 1: was a lot of hollering, there was a lot of emotion,
- 46:17Speaker 1: and when you leave, like you just had a good time,
- 46:20Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I didn't really see the
- 46:22Speaker 1: word coming to life in the lives of people like
- 46:26Speaker 1: I didn't experience that myself. I didn't have that around me.
- 46:30Speaker 1: But at his mom's church, like I could understand the word.
- 46:33Speaker 2: I was just. I was stuck.
- 46:34Speaker 4: I was drawn in like and I would just soak
- 46:37Speaker 4: it up like a sponge. I loved it.
- 46:39Speaker 1: And for one when we first got together, his mom
- 46:43Speaker 1: had cancer. His mom had cancer, and I had never
- 46:47Speaker 1: in all of my twenty three twenty four years seen
- 46:51Speaker 1: a person beat cancer. Everybody that I knew that had
- 46:55Speaker 1: cancer up until that point had died, and so I.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Wanted to get to know who she knew, why she missed.
- 47:02Speaker 4: She never missed work.
- 47:04Speaker 1: She was leading praise and worship, and I remember her
- 47:06Speaker 1: having surgery and them telling her that she wasn't gonna
- 47:09Speaker 1: be able to lift her hands, and.
- 47:11Speaker 4: She was like, I have to go back every week
- 47:12Speaker 4: and get stitches because I'm gonna lift my hands.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Wow. I was just.
- 47:18Speaker 4: I was drawn today.
- 47:19Speaker 1: I was drawn to that, and I remember having a
- 47:21Speaker 1: conversation with her. She never really invited me to church
- 47:24Speaker 1: or anything like that. I was having a conversation with her,
- 47:29Speaker 1: just telling her like, hey, like I'm starting to feel
- 47:31Speaker 1: like I'm sneaking Jamail in the window at my mom house.
- 47:35Speaker 1: But we were both staying together, both paying you know,
- 47:37Speaker 1: paying bills, doing all of that, and I was just like,
- 47:39Speaker 1: something just doesn't feel right. And so she took the
- 47:42Speaker 1: time to explain to me what the something was. The
- 47:45Speaker 1: something wow, And so she was just like, come come
- 47:48Speaker 1: to church with me Sunday. And so I went to
- 47:51Speaker 1: church with her and I sat there in the word
- 47:53Speaker 1: just I soaked it up. And I remember coming home
- 47:55Speaker 1: being like, jam why don't.
- 47:56Speaker 2: You go to you?
- 47:57Speaker 4: Why aren't we going to her church?
- 47:59Speaker 2: What is this butch?
- 48:00Speaker 1: You know, his family being his family and him having
- 48:03Speaker 1: the past and all of that, he had his reasons,
- 48:05Speaker 1: you know for not wanting to be there. Yeah, So
- 48:08Speaker 1: he would go with my mom, I would go with
- 48:10Speaker 1: his mom. We would kind of go back and forth together.
- 48:13Speaker 1: But I absolutely loved going there because I look and
- 48:17Speaker 1: I now know because it was it was just a.
- 48:19Speaker 4: Teacher and me coming a lot. Yeah you know what
- 48:20Speaker 4: I mean, Like I was, it was like an oasis.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Wow, it was an oasis and I loved it,
- 48:26Speaker 1: Ate it up, ate it up, and you know, we
- 48:28Speaker 1: were there and I can remember having fact I fat
- 48:34Speaker 1: was about two weeks old, two three weeks old.
- 48:37Speaker 2: It was.
- 48:37Speaker 1: It was Easter Sunday. We all that's when we all
- 48:40Speaker 1: went to church together. And we never stopped going after that.
- 48:44Speaker 1: And so maybe about a month later, I remember getting
- 48:47Speaker 1: up that morning. I'd be like, okay, when they opened
- 48:50Speaker 1: the doors of the church, baby, I'm going up the baby.
- 48:52Speaker 4: I'm getting saved today. I didn't have that conversation with Jamel.
- 48:56Speaker 4: I just knew that that's what I was going to do.
- 48:58Speaker 1: And so I was in the back making a buy
- 49:00Speaker 1: for the baby when they gave the invitation and I
- 49:03Speaker 1: was like, let me hurry up so I could get
- 49:05Speaker 1: up there. And when I got up there, Jamal was
- 49:07Speaker 1: up there. Wow, And I was like okay, and I
- 49:11Speaker 1: just went and scooped his hand up. And they're when
- 49:14Speaker 1: our journey started together. So we got saved together, we
- 49:18Speaker 1: got filled with the Holy Ghost together, we got we
- 49:21Speaker 1: got we got baptized together. Like we literally have walked
- 49:26Speaker 1: this thing out, literally had walked this thing out.
- 49:30Speaker 2: See you this, I don't think you really understand what
- 49:32Speaker 2: you're saying right now, because.
- 49:37Speaker 5: This is the difference between doing things with God and
- 49:42Speaker 5: doing things without God. This is what you're this is
- 49:46Speaker 5: what I'm hearing right Doing life, marriage, business without God.
- 49:52Speaker 5: It leaves a void, It leaves confusion, it leaves disruption,
- 49:55Speaker 5: it leaves a path of destruction, right, And we kind
- 49:59Speaker 5: of flow.
- 50:00Speaker 2: The idea of destruction, but.
- 50:05Speaker 5: It's destructive, right, And so we And the picture that
- 50:09Speaker 5: you just painted of mister Jamail being at the altar
- 50:16Speaker 5: before you come on, girl, that was your wedding day
- 50:22Speaker 5: for real, if you really look at it, and how
- 50:26Speaker 5: how the woman comes down the aisle to the husband
- 50:30Speaker 5: that that was your sign right there. I'm getting I
- 50:35Speaker 5: am getting chills because the picture that God like, I
- 50:38Speaker 5: can literally see He was like, Oh, you're gonna come
- 50:40Speaker 5: to God, but you're not gonna come.
- 50:41Speaker 2: To God along Jesus.
- 50:44Speaker 5: Your when they say marriage made in Heaven, a match
- 50:48Speaker 5: made in heaven, I can literally hear that for you.
- 50:51Speaker 5: And so when people say I'm frustrated with my marriage
- 50:55Speaker 5: and my marriage was this, but what was God in it?
- 50:58Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, And so and I hear
- 51:00Speaker 5: one of the other this is also bringing up the
- 51:03Speaker 5: Desert Ray when Miss Tabb was talking about her and
- 51:06Speaker 5: mister chance relationship, and she was like, you know, because.
- 51:10Speaker 2: They had.
- 51:12Speaker 5: Choice, choice, thank you. They had choice before they got
- 51:17Speaker 5: married too, but they you know, Chance. I don't think
- 51:21Speaker 5: Chance was really promptu going or doing the relationship with
- 51:26Speaker 5: God type of thing whatever, but they end up doing
- 51:27Speaker 5: this thing together. It reminds me of that. And to
- 51:30Speaker 5: see marriages like that thrive. You know what I'm saying,
- 51:33Speaker 5: y'all have one. Y'all is like, it's something better than this,
- 51:36Speaker 5: It's something better. And then when y'all figure out that
- 51:38Speaker 5: something is better, y'all lean into that something, which is
- 51:41Speaker 5: God ultimately.
- 51:42Speaker 2: So I love man.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Because I know we're winding down here, but your story
- 51:50Speaker 1: is so massive and it's so many questions I want
- 51:52Speaker 1: to ask you. But I feel like we're harping on
- 51:55Speaker 1: your family right now because you've created businesses plural. You
- 52:02Speaker 1: heard what I said, it's it's is businesses through legacy
- 52:08Speaker 1: and so fast forwarded from the altar to the the
- 52:13Speaker 1: prophecy fulfilled. You have two girls, two beautiful girls.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Okay that you are.
- 52:19Speaker 5: You are teaching technique, you're teaching business. You teach I mean,
- 52:24Speaker 5: you're teaching them how to make it when they step
- 52:28Speaker 5: out in life like that, that that deserves all flaws,
- 52:33Speaker 5: Like you have them together to where they will not
- 52:37Speaker 5: experience what you experience in the teens.
- 52:40Speaker 2: That's that's that is, that is the mission, that's the
- 52:45Speaker 2: whole you. You are doing it. So we gotta get
- 52:47Speaker 2: into what you offering.
- 52:50Speaker 1: How what like?
- 52:51Speaker 2: I know what what age did you start doing here?
- 52:55Speaker 2: I was probably twelve.
- 52:56Speaker 4: I probably started doing.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Here for profit at fifteen.
- 53:01Speaker 5: So now you go from fifteen to when did I
- 53:04Speaker 5: am ay ishimonique come about?
- 53:07Speaker 1: I am is is shimonique came about in twenty twenty.
- 53:12Speaker 1: I am ishimonique came about in twenty twenty. And it
- 53:15Speaker 1: just came from a question that God asked me, who
- 53:18Speaker 1: are you?
- 53:21Speaker 2: Who are you?
- 53:23Speaker 1: And there I went with my journal in my Bible.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I'm about to go through the whole Bible and discover
- 53:27Speaker 1: who I am.
- 53:28Speaker 2: And he just kept asking me who are you? Who
- 53:31Speaker 2: are you? Who are you? And I was like, God,
- 53:34Speaker 2: what do you mean?
- 53:35Speaker 1: Because it was like I wasn't grasping what he was saying,
- 53:37Speaker 1: And out of frustration, I said, A is shimonique, And
- 53:42Speaker 1: all of a sudden a AM. I could see the AM,
- 53:46Speaker 1: and he was like, you are everything I called you
- 53:48Speaker 1: to be.
- 53:49Speaker 2: That's so good. You are the opposite of.
- 53:51Speaker 4: Everything anybody besides me has told you that you are.
- 53:54Speaker 1: That's how I AM came about me stepping out of
- 53:58Speaker 1: everything that I wasn't into every everything that I am.
- 54:01Speaker 4: That's that's where it was born. That's where it was born.
- 54:04Speaker 2: And so I knew.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Then that everything I did had to fall under who
- 54:10Speaker 1: I was, because I couldn't do it within myself, because
- 54:12Speaker 1: I was still fighting back and forth with all the
- 54:14Speaker 1: voices of everybody that told me what I wouldn't be,
- 54:17Speaker 1: who I wouldn't be because of who my mom was,
- 54:20Speaker 1: because of who my dad was. You know, like my
- 54:24Speaker 1: mom was diagnosed with clinical depression, my dad was schizophrenic.
- 54:30Speaker 1: You get what I'm saying. Like I shouldn't I shouldn't
- 54:32Speaker 1: be sitting here right now in my right mind, in
- 54:37Speaker 1: my right mind and the life that I was living
- 54:39Speaker 1: before this. I shouldn't be sitting here with five children.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I should be sterile. We're gonna leave that right there.
- 54:44Speaker 1: What y'all be calling it smacking, I did.
- 54:49Speaker 4: I am the smack earl.
- 54:54Speaker 2: But now we're holy hunting.
- 55:03Speaker 4: But that's real, seriously, seriously.
- 55:08Speaker 2: And so just.
- 55:11Speaker 1: And even navigating life as a girl mom and God
- 55:16Speaker 1: having to remind me that their story is not you know,
- 55:19Speaker 1: my story, isn't their story, like don't.
- 55:21Speaker 4: I was parenting them from fear fear. I was like
- 55:27Speaker 4: with that sixteen year.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Old, beautiful, beautiful, and they be at her and you know,
- 55:33Speaker 1: I was handling her like her mindset was my mindset,
- 55:35Speaker 1: Like she was about to go and do what I
- 55:37Speaker 1: was doing. And God had to be like, no, she
- 55:41Speaker 1: she No, she wasn't raised in that environment. She wasn't
- 55:44Speaker 1: raised with that. And so even in raising her, I'm
- 55:48Speaker 1: here like I am consciously healing, like on purpose so
- 55:51Speaker 1: that I don't break her, Like I have a responsibility
- 55:56Speaker 1: not to break her. Oh good, I think I'm my
- 56:03Speaker 1: I got like chilled on the back of my arms
- 56:05Speaker 1: right now because I feel the time that we have
- 56:10Speaker 1: and your story is too big for the time that
- 56:12Speaker 1: we have, So we're gonna have to do a part too.
- 56:15Speaker 2: But I really want to get to.
- 56:18Speaker 5: I wanted to get to that to make people make
- 56:20Speaker 5: sense of why your brand is so powerful, right because
- 56:24Speaker 5: you have the two girls, and now the two girls
- 56:29Speaker 5: have are part of a brand to where you've not
- 56:32Speaker 5: only taught them a trade, but you've taught them business.
- 56:37Speaker 2: And so this business that you just launched, Crowned, I.
- 56:41Speaker 5: Want to get into week class. I want to get
- 56:46Speaker 5: into it. Like, how long have you been trying to
- 56:48Speaker 5: birth Crown out?
- 56:49Speaker 4: Since twenty twenty?
- 56:51Speaker 2: Oh?
- 56:51Speaker 4: Wow?
- 56:52Speaker 2: Since twenty twenty. Yeah, and let's explain what Crown is.
- 56:58Speaker 2: What is Crown is a full hair care line.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Yeah, with natural hair care products, shampoos to conditioners to
- 57:09Speaker 1: hair butters.
- 57:10Speaker 2: We got.
- 57:12Speaker 1: We got the men's line, We have the zoelock line.
- 57:15Speaker 1: We got a kids line coming out before the year
- 57:18Speaker 1: is out. I didn't want to put everything out at
- 57:19Speaker 1: one time, but it just started with the oil. It
- 57:22Speaker 1: literally started with the oil. And I think I don't
- 57:24Speaker 1: I can't remember if I was talking to desk. I
- 57:26Speaker 1: can't remember who I was talking to. But I carried
- 57:28Speaker 1: this baby for so long. This baby should have been
- 57:32Speaker 1: birthed a long time ago. But my baby was born
- 57:35Speaker 1: with babies. Wow.
- 57:40Speaker 2: When she came out, she was just the oil. She
- 57:43Speaker 2: was just the oil. She was just the oil. But
- 57:45Speaker 2: God would not allow me to miscarry. I love God
- 57:49Speaker 2: so much.
- 57:50Speaker 4: I live him so much. It was painful birth in her.
- 57:53Speaker 4: She was huge when she.
- 57:54Speaker 5: Came because you got products and I got a whole.
- 58:00Speaker 5: You got products. I was looking at yourself. I was like,
- 58:03Speaker 5: do she You really got a store? So when people
- 58:06Speaker 5: gonna get their hair done, you're like, all.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Right, girl with these braids, go ahead and make you
- 58:11Speaker 1: massage Scott with this shampool will get their dand drap.
- 58:13Speaker 2: I don't want to come. I don't want you to
- 58:14Speaker 2: come with you to me.
- 58:15Speaker 5: Yeah, like you you have that and me and doesn't
- 58:18Speaker 5: Ray were talking about, you know earlier, how it's important
- 58:23Speaker 5: for us as king, as believers to make an offer
- 58:27Speaker 5: and some of us, like me, have been afraid and
- 58:30Speaker 5: intimidated to make the offer. And I'm just so proud
- 58:33Speaker 5: of you, Like, and you're gonna be blessing heads heads
- 58:37Speaker 5: that you would never see.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Yeah, like that, Like that's the part we don't really get.
- 58:44Speaker 4: No, Like that, that for me is human. That's been
- 58:47Speaker 4: one of the things that I just been like, oh
- 58:49Speaker 4: my god, Like that was scary for me.
- 58:51Speaker 2: That was scary for me.
- 58:53Speaker 4: That was scary for me, Like you could literally literally
- 58:57Speaker 4: reach nations.
- 59:00Speaker 5: I'm proud of you, Like that deadline is lining everything
- 59:04Speaker 5: looks good. Everything you know you now you got to
- 59:07Speaker 5: say you had a lot lined. I might need to
- 59:08Speaker 5: try a little product because oh, bring it here, bring
- 59:13Speaker 5: it here. Don't tell me you brought me anything with
- 59:15Speaker 5: your logo on here and we on here live.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Bring it here, bring it here. I want I want it,
- 59:21Speaker 2: I want it. So we love a good product. Oh
- 59:27Speaker 2: oh oh, take take me through what's in the bag,
- 59:30Speaker 2: Walk me through the bank. Put the camera on her.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Just focus. Go ahead. This is your time to shine girl.
- 59:34Speaker 2: This is my this is you mm hmm. Yeah, we're
- 59:39Speaker 2: gonna get into it. You got to hold it up
- 59:43Speaker 2: right here.
- 59:44Speaker 4: So what we have here, let's where do we want
- 59:46Speaker 4: to start. Okay, let's start with this.
- 59:49Speaker 1: So this is our Crown brand and this is actually
- 59:52Speaker 1: the Zoelck line. If you don't know, I have a
- 59:54Speaker 1: signature micro lock and it's called Zoey Lock. It's named
- 59:58Speaker 1: after Jamiria. Yeah, that's where the Zoe comes from. So
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: the zoe lock is my signature lock. Well the only
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: lock that I do, but I signature by name. This
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: is a detoxifying shampoo. Apple site of vinegar Pham shampoo
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: for your locks. Very mild and smell.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: It is great. Yeah.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: And then this is my Zoe Locked milk.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: So this is like a conditioning moisturizer, like a leaving
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: conditioner moisturizer for your locks. It'll be really good for
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: your locks because you have the color. Yeah, it'll it'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: keep them, keep them strong.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: I can't wait to do this.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: And then and then this is our hair growth oil.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: This is this is the baby we started out with. Okay,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: this is who we started out with.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: And actually this morning, your auntie Tara, she texts me
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: this morning and she sent me three different bottles.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: She was like, the.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Evolution of the brand is crazy. She has all three
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: of the labels that I started out with.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: She was like, I'm so proud of you. And just
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: looking at it this morning, I was.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Like, manhole line, the whole line. No, that's finished. Finished.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: How you do that oil?
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Though?
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Yeah? But I said, I see a little some stuff
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: in there. You got you got that? You make make that?
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: Oh yeah yeah yeah, I make make this.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: I make make this in the kitchen. Ain't and it
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: looks what is that floated? Let me see it?
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: Some nerves in there floating. We ain't gonna tell them
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: what's in there?
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, well, we ain't gonna tell them, but now
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: this this is made. It's in there.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: You got peppermint in there.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: It's just it's just here a part of my brain
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: that it was activated.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Because you know, there are there are lots of growth oils,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and most of them have kind of like a medicated
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: smell to them because the herb.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: I cannot smell. I can I say that.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: Okay, y'all, I'm gonna tell y'all. I'm gonna tell y'all
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: the truth. Okay, we're gonna we're gonna get into it. Okay,
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: we're gonna put this right on right here.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Okay, thank you. I like guilts and I appreciate it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: Listen, desil right, we've been we've been talking real good,
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: talking real good.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: What's your thoughts over there?
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: She'd be staring, like, I give you this cue every week.
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: I give you a queue to come up every week. Hey, okay,
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: I'm not gonna I'm not gonna fool I'm good.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: When you get to push in these buttons, you're gonna understand.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Sometimes you just get a little loss around here and
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: the thing. But man, I am so I love sitting
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: on this side just because I just get to hear
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: the story. And sometimes if you just if you listen
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: past what people are saying, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you can really hear what they're saying, you know. And
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: so for me, it's just the journey of just trusting
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: God even though there's a point where you really didn't
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: even know him, but he knew you.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Like in the truth of the matter, is he knew
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: you before you even got here.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So the fact that, yes, you've experienced some things
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: in childhood, X, Y, and Z, but he was still there.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: He was still there enough, and it was something in
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: you that recognized him to activates not just gonna go
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: off and just activate that. That's something in you to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: be able to journey along where we are now, right,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: And so I I love me some and I and
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I just want to.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Say publicly thank you for entrusting me to help you
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: in this project. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I remember we had conversations about if y'all don't know,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I usually is a purpose pusher. You saw you saw
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the her shirt, you see her her tattoos. She's her
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: she's living purpose, you know what I'm saying. And she's
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: able to birth that out of people. So it may
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: seem like I was helping you, but you really helped
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: me in a sense of just giving me some some
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: language and confidence on what it is that I do
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: for people, because, as we talked about, sometimes.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: It's hard to explain that, right.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: So it's like, yes, I do photography, I do all
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: these other things, but it's really deeper, deeper than that,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So I just want to
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: say thank you for trusting the gift and the God
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: that that he has given me to help you with this.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It was, it was It's
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: definitely a team effort, like this is a big baby, y'all.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Yeah, man, and God is just so good.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: So just thank you for coming on and sharing your story,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: even the story about your marriage. You know, as we're
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: all a single ladies, is is believing God for our
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: kingdom spouses. Just to hear I love when I get
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to hear about kingdom marriages. And the thing is, sometimes
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: we look at what people are now, but we don't
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: even get to really understand like how they got there,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you know, And so you guys, just sharing that story
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: is just very encouraging. So thank you for coming on
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: today and and uh gracing us with your voice. Yeah yeah,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: because you your voice is so you just told him Nick,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: But y'all dangerous, like real talk, like y'all dangerous. And
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: if I don't think we could have managed having both
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: of them at the same time, I think they had,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: but it would be dope though, Like I'm I'm definitely
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: gonna do it that I ain't scared of it, but
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: having y'all both at the same time, because even witness
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: like just.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: Watching y'all, and I know y'all. You know, I don't
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: be stalking y'all, but when I see y'all, be.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Like, ooh, same grace because no, like we'll talk some
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: of these some of these marriages be faked.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: And one thing I love about like your relationship, y'all's relationship,
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: the Fumbies relationship. Even my Auntie Tar and Uncle Chris,
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: like I get the ugly like y'all don't really.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Try to try to be like, oh yeah, this is
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: purple blah blah blah, y'all.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: First people like oh, we work for this, like we
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: work real bad for this, and it cast something, but
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: it was worth it and it gives me hope especially
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: my parents separated. Oh no, they do divorce. They actually divorced.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: They divorced when I was young or whatever. So all
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: I want have wanted since I was a little girl
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: was to be in a happy marriage, like in my mind,
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: I'm thirty three years old right now. In my mind,
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: by the age of thirty, I was supposed to be
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: married with three kids. I don't have either one of
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: those things, right, And.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: So I've been trying. I'm in this tee to tottering.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: It depends on the day. I'm like, oh yeah, I'm
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: just hopeful and hl lah lah dah, and then up
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: next minute, I'm like, you know what it is, what
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: it is.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I'll just stay focused, you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I'm just staying focused and so and it's nothing wrong
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: with it.
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: It's just like, man, God, I see what you've done
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: for others. I see what you're doing for others, and
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: I just want the same thing. So your presence here
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: means so much more than you could even imagine. Wow, Yeah,
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: I'm great. I'm grateful that you gave or say.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Yes, and don't give up, don't teeter tired anymore. The
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: days that you don't feel like it. Pick yourself up
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and get back in because you are a wife, period.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: You are a wife, and he coming, he gonna find
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: you in purpose.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Just keep doing what you're doing, Keep doing what you're doing,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: and he is going to be ready for you, all
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: all of you, all of you. He's going to have
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: the capacity to cover you and to cover where you're going.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Keep going, keep going. Let and be unapologetically you, like, don't.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I was watching one of your episodes the other day,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I think when you were on with List Speaks. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: and just talking about you know, y'all were talking back
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and forth about relationships, and I think that it's so
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: important for your husband to see you be authentically you,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean, because he has to love
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the good, the bad, and the ugly and if he
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: can take you in all stages, because Jamel has seen
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: me in, Oh Jesus, the places he's had to snatch
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: me up out of, you know what I mean, Like
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it's ugly behind the scenes. Yeah, that's why we're so
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: good because nobody else knows me like he does.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: I'm completely comfortable with him at all times.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: And for you to stay.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: That we're dangerous together. I can be transparent and say
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: we needed that today, Like twenty years in it'll be
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: twenty years in October. It will be twenty years in October.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: And we still have hard times and hard days, and
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: this is one of those times where we're just like
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and it seems like the closer it gets to an anniversary,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you know, we're reassessing, like not so and not from
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: a bad place, just like an exhausting place when you're growing,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Because we didn't know each
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: other where, we didn't know ourselves when we met each other.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: We found each other before we found ourselves, and so
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: we now are growing into who it is that God
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: has called us to be. And we're two totally different
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: people than we were when we fell in love. The
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: things that I was attracted to weren't original characteristics of him,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the things that he was attracted to that wasn't stuff
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I was supposed to be doing it how I was
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: supposed to be doing it. And so because we're committed
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: to this, we have to learn to fall in love
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: with who God intended for us to be. That's not easy.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: That's not easy because I can't say that I would
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: have been looking at him the same way in the club.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: If he was who he is today.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Wow, so good.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: So the fact that you have found out who you are,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: that you know who you are, that you are ten
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: tolls down in purpose before that man finds you. God
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: is not gonna bring you somebody that you have to
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: put together, that you have to help find out who
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: he is. He's going to know exactly who he is,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: and he's going to know his assignment in your life
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: and he's gonna fulfill it and y'all gonna be happy,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: and you're gonna have him babies and all that kind
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: of stuff, and they just gonna be Little Jessica's running around.
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: I can't wait.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: We can't handlem on God children, he said, we got
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: enough on bring him over that DJ he sa, I
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: have no more, but yes, yes, yes, So you gotta
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: be thirty three, thirty four or thirty four. You gotta
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: be who you are where you are because you got
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: so much to do. You know, you don't, you don't. Yeah,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: if I could do anything different, you asked me that earlier.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: If I could do anything different, I would have known
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: who I was. I would have known exactly who I
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: was and what God called me to do so that
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I could have been a better wife in the beginning,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: so that I could have been a better mother. It
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: makes the difference. It makes the difference, like because God
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: favors us, it turned out the way it did. Wow.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Normally I asked.
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: For a final word from the guests, and I think
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: we just got it. No that thank you for that
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: poor I'd be like, yeah, I don't be like talking
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: about that day thing. But when we turn on the camera,
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: we're gonna talk. Oh, I'll be like, but no, thank you,
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: thank you for your presence. This is I knew this
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: is gonna be good. I do this is gonna be good,
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: but I feel it's so much more so. But real quick,
