- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the Coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning.
- 0:30Good morning. So we have to tell you about a
- 0:32fun day that we had yesterday because we were bound and
- 0:36determined when we planned this trip to take the kids to camp
- 0:39that we were going to do something for ourselves.
- 0:41That's. An important thing that we
- 0:45really had worked on because we don't take enough time to
- 0:48replenish ourselves and regularly do it.
- 0:52So how I think maybe two years ago we talked about going.
- 0:56We did. It's been, yes, it's been like 2
- 0:59years. We're like, we're going to meet
- 1:00up somewhere in the country and just do a spa weekend and visit
- 1:04and relax and replenish and recharge.
- 1:07And we actually got close once we actually talked about
- 1:11locations. Yes, but that's.
- 1:13As far as we got. But something happened, I forget
- 1:15what it was. Something came up and I couldn't
- 1:18do it because of the schedule. Something that happened.
- 1:21I remember there was a distinct thing that.
- 1:23Came. I think it was your fault.
- 1:25Oh, and then there was the fact that Maddie was having a baby at
- 1:28one point that that screwed something couldn't go.
- 1:31So none of that seems to be my fault, OK?
- 1:33Good. No, it's not your fault.
- 1:34It was. Totally it was.
- 1:35Totally on me, but we did get our spa day today.
- 1:37We did. And so when we got here, we
- 1:39planned that like, OK, we're going to go do it.
- 1:40We're going to look for one. And so, Stacey, I very rarely
- 1:44surrender to other people making plans.
- 1:47Like I'm going to confess that right now I don't let people
- 1:50make plans, but Stacy is so good at making plans.
- 1:54I was like, she can pick the hotel, she can decide What Car
- 1:58we're getting, we can decide where we're going.
- 2:00I'd picked what the the camp for the kids and found that and took
- 2:03care of that stuff. So she looked up and she said
- 2:06there's a spa not far from here and we're going to go.
- 2:09And we got there, and this place was magical it.
- 2:14Was it was we were a little I'm sure because we had a drive
- 2:17through just a random neighborhood I kept.
- 2:19Saying like, where's it in someone's house?
- 2:22It was very pleasantly surprised at the end of the neighborhood.
- 2:25Yes, you turned into this beautiful big like golf course
- 2:29type thing and you felt, it felt very much like you were in
- 2:33Italy. That's what I kept thinking, big
- 2:35Italian Cypress trees and like it was just glorious.
- 2:40The moment you walked inside, you just felt like you had been
- 2:42transformed into this other place.
- 2:44And we just decided, OK, we're going to.
- 2:47Even though we only had each one treatment, which was a 50 minute
- 2:52massage, we were we were going to stay the day somehow.
- 2:57Yeah. And they had what?
- 2:59They had the pool. They had a pool, they had an
- 3:01outdoor Jacuzzi, they had an indoor Jacuzzi, they had a steam
- 3:05room, and then they had just areas kind of lounge around and
- 3:10walk around the grounds. Hang and then lunch and all of
- 3:12that. So we just decided we were going
- 3:14to do that and we got there very early.
- 3:16We were the first people at the pool and we sat there.
- 3:20It was amazing we could. Actually hear the birds and.
- 3:22Oh yeah, it was glorious. And we sat there for hours
- 3:26before people showed up and then our treatment came up and we
- 3:30went for our treatment and it was wonderful and thrilled with
- 3:34that. I think I only stayed in the
- 3:35sauna for like 30 seconds. It was way too hot.
- 3:38I couldn't stay in there. We left the sauna, went back
- 3:41out, we had lunch, we sat in the pool for a while.
- 3:45We stayed, we hung out. And the the part that's so great
- 3:49about this is taking the break. Yes.
- 3:53We we never do it and we were trying to unwind.
- 3:56But here's what's interesting fact that when we afterwards we
- 3:58were both talking about it, we had trouble doing the massage
- 4:02and letting our brain unwind. Yeah, because you talked about a
- 4:05great idea right before the massage.
- 4:07So my wheels were spinning, you know?
- 4:10Right, Well, I think either way it still would have been 'cause
- 4:14it's true. But do you go in and start
- 4:17thinking how much longer do I have, 'cause that's what.
- 4:19Well, I always hate when I turn over because then I know Oh no,
- 4:22I'm over halfway and I start to panic that my time's winding
- 4:25down exactly. But I I feel that I'm always,
- 4:31I'm appreciative of the time that I get in there and I do
- 4:34enjoy it and I never want to fall asleep because I think
- 4:37that's very wasteful time. Do you?
- 4:39I do. I pay for this massage and I
- 4:42well, I did get the deep tissue. There was no falling asleep for
- 4:45me today. Misery.
- 4:46Oh no, I needed it. Oh, it's too hard.
- 4:50I don't want to jump off the table.
- 4:52I'm supposed to relax. Yeah, I feel like it needs to,
- 4:55like you need to get things out. And she had, she didn't have man
- 4:58hands like inside she wasn't too strong, no, but she was so firm.
- 5:02I was like, she must do like grippies at home or something.
- 5:05Like she has incredibly strong fingers.
- 5:07Well. Listen, I didn't fall asleep,
- 5:10but I am the same way. Like my whole time I'm like I
- 5:12because I was thinking it's not 50 minutes, it's it's not 60
- 5:16minutes, it's 50 minutes. So I'm losing 10 minutes.
- 5:18So I just kept thinking how much longer, how much longer, how
- 5:20much longer? Like I don't like it.
- 5:23And then my brain goes running down other rabbit holes of like,
- 5:26oh, we're so close, we're halfway through our trip, blah,
- 5:28blah, blah. And then I, my, my brain doesn't
- 5:30stop. And, and that's the point of
- 5:32like we were taught we wanted to talk about taking time to take a
- 5:37break. And my belief is when you wait
- 5:39too long to take the break, that's when you have this
- 5:43happen. So this is an indicator to me.
- 5:45I waited way too long. I just feel like that.
- 5:48I feel like I need to set these up more often because I don't do
- 5:51well taking the breaks so. Force breaks.
- 5:54Yeah. I mean, and that's why some of
- 5:56these, you know, there's chains for massages, there's chains for
- 6:00self-care because doing something once a month is really
- 6:04good for your mind, your body, your soul.
- 6:07But I have that package and I have 30 banked.
- 6:11You still haven't used them. And yes, so it's like I'm still
- 6:15paying for them. I'm not using them, but I'm not
- 6:17going to stop paying for them because I I have intention to
- 6:20use them but then I let life get in the way and I don't take the
- 6:23time for myself. So that's the lesson in this,
- 6:26everybody. So Stacey's going to start using
- 6:28hers once a month at least, And I have to figure out how I'm not
- 6:32going to wait. Like I find my moments to take
- 6:34the mental break of just saying, OK, let me go take my pictures,
- 6:37let me go sit with the animals, let me go do those things.
- 6:40But that's not the same thing is this.
- 6:42And I really got that lesson today with my head doing what it
- 6:45was doing. So we wanted to share.
- 6:48So make sure you plan that. OK?
- 6:50So we will see you all tomorrow guys.
- 6:52Have a great night. See ya.
- 6:54Bye.
