Speaker 1: you get on the show? Like did you sign up voluntarily?

Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. Okay, so this is actually a funny story.

Speaker 4: So about what am I twenty six hours? Three years ago,

Speaker 4: when I graduated grad school, I was actually in casting

Speaker 4: for the Bachelor, and it was for me for Joey's season.

Speaker 3: Oh and I was.

Speaker 4: Going through that and I was getting to like the

Speaker 4: final cuts and at the end I didn't make it,

Speaker 4: And it was fine. I mean, I was twenty three.

Speaker 4: I was no position of I was like, oh, let

Speaker 4: me get a fiance, let me get married. I think

Speaker 4: it was just like one. And then a few years

Speaker 4: later one of my friends was like, have you ever

Speaker 4: seen the show Farmer Wants a Wife? And I was

Speaker 4: like huh. I was like Harbor Wants a Wife. And

Speaker 4: she's like, I think you should apply for it. And

Speaker 4: I was like, there's no way I'm going on a farm.

Speaker 4: I was like like no, She's like come on, She's

Speaker 4: like already kind of know like the casting like process.

Speaker 4: She's like, just do it for fun, Like why not?

Speaker 4: And so then you know, we did the video and

Speaker 4: I was actually at work and I got a text

Speaker 4: and it was like, hey, this is so and so

Speaker 4: from casting and I was like looking around and I'm like,

Speaker 4: am I like punked right now? And then it just

Speaker 4: kind of snowballed into this thing and I was like.

Speaker 4: My mom's like, are you like actually gonna go? And

Speaker 4: I was like yeah. I was like I think this

Speaker 4: is happening because you know what's so touch and go.

Speaker 4: They're like, we'll call you in two weeks. Well, I'm like,

Speaker 4: I don't know, do I buy all these outfits. Do

Speaker 4: I buy all these boots? It's like, I'm like, I

Speaker 4: don't know.

Speaker 5: And then you know, come October, they're like, we'll find

Speaker 5: you out to Nashville.

Speaker 4: And I was like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 3: This is a perfect example though.

Speaker 1: And if you don't know, my background is in reality

Speaker 1: TV casting, so I've done quite a few dating shows

Speaker 1: and yeah, one thing I will say to people is

Speaker 1: you actually don't often get chosen the first show that

Speaker 1: you apply for. More often than not, people that you

Speaker 1: see on TV have auditioned for different shows. And that's

Speaker 1: why it's very funny. Like when I see a show

Speaker 1: come out and I go, oh, yeah, uh, I interviewed

Speaker 1: that person for this show. I interviewed like it happens

Speaker 1: all the time. It happened on Love Overboard that came

Speaker 1: out on Hulu recently. I was like two of the

Speaker 1: people on that show I have auditioned for other shows.

Speaker 3: And so it's very common.

Speaker 1: Your experience of trying out for Joey Season, not making it,

Speaker 1: and then making it onto another dating show later.

Speaker 3: That usually happens for people.

Speaker 5: It was honestly, like so crazy. I think it was.

Speaker 4: I just broke up with my boyfriend at the time,

Speaker 4: and my mom was like, I'm going to nominate you.

Speaker 4: And I was like, okay, because my mom's very like

Speaker 4: She's like, I'm going to be a spinster for the

Speaker 4: rest of my life if I don't get her married.

Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm like, can you not?

Speaker 5: So she didn't want a whim and then that's snowball.

Speaker 4: Then obviously, you know, I say, everything happens for a reason,

Speaker 4: and so now on this show, and I'm super fortunate

Speaker 4: for that. But it's just funny how everything works out

Speaker 4: I mean, honestly, the whole thing was so I mean,

Speaker 4: I'm so nervous, right, I'm like, I've never talked to

Speaker 5: I'm like, I've seen like a video of them and

Speaker 4: I'm gonna go meet him, and you know, we're talking,

Speaker 4: and you know, Brett, he's a little bit more reserved,

Speaker 4: and I'm like, yeah, the thing where like I'm over talking.

Speaker 1: But it worked because you could tell how nervous he

Speaker 1: was in that moment, because you're the first girl to

Speaker 1: talk to him on camera. Yeah, and you really owned

Speaker 1: that moment because you can't both be nervous.

Speaker 2: You were so sweet though. It was like I think

Speaker 2: everyone fell in love with you right out of the

Speaker 2: gates because of the way you handled that conversation. You know,

Speaker 2: like almost like making him feel comfortable in that moment.

Speaker 4: I like looked around at first, and I was like, wait,

Speaker 4: for like the Bachelor, it's like, oh, the first impression, bro,

Speaker 4: like yeah, I mean shows and it's like do you

Speaker 4: want to come back? But farmers they don't ever do

Speaker 4: something like that, and he's like on a farm, and

Speaker 4: I was like me was oh, yeah, let's go. And

Speaker 4: was like, oh my god, like I'm actually going to

Speaker 2: That was awesome. What was your first impression like when

Speaker 2: you got there? When you got to the farm, was

Speaker 2: it like, oh my god, this is like a real farm,

Speaker 4: Oh? I was like there's nothing around here. I was like,

Speaker 4: there's like Chipotle, like you know. I'm like, we're in

Speaker 4: the middle of nowhere. I'm in this cabin and I'm like,

Speaker 4: oh my gosh. I'm like there's cattle and there's horses,

Speaker 4: and I'm like city girl with the country playlist, you know,

Speaker 4: like I live on like a sea. I'm not, you know,

Speaker 4: I've never farmed before. I've never done any of that.

Speaker 4: And I was like, oh my gosh. And then you know,

Speaker 4: Quinn has kind of she's more of like city girl

Speaker 4: and country girl, and she was like, oh, like my

Speaker 4: mom is a farm and dead it no. So I

Speaker 4: really leaned on her and I was like, okay, like

Speaker 4: is this like what we're doing? And I was like,

Speaker 4: for a second, I was like, there's no way that

Speaker 4: like people can actually like live like this in a way.

Speaker 2: Ryan and I. So when Trista and Ryan got together,

Speaker 2: are great friends. Trista and I of course do a

Speaker 4: I'm atched with this guy. He's from Florida and he's

Speaker 4: this normal job. And we're talking and I'm honestly, I'm
