Speaker 1: Prince Andrew and his disastrous BBC interview will go down
• 0:09
Speaker 1: in history as possibly one of the worst performances of
• 0:14
Speaker 1: all time. If they gave Razzies for performances and interviews, this.
• 0:20
Speaker 2: Would be at the very top of the list.
• 0:23
Speaker 1: Well, during that interview, there was a picture that was
• 0:26
Speaker 1: allegedly snapped. And according to sources at BBC and elsewhere,
• 0:31
Speaker 1: the picture is pretty embarrassing for Prince Andrew. So we
• 0:36
Speaker 1: were talking about what could this picture possibly be? And
• 0:40
Speaker 1: now there's some reports coming out of what that picture is.
• 0:44
Speaker 1: And today we have an episode dealing with that. Our
• 0:48
Speaker 1: article is from the Mirror.
• 0:50
  Speaker 2: Headline?
• 0:51
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew laughed his head off an unseen picture from
• 0:55
Speaker 1: car crash BBC interview. This article was authored by Matthew Dresh.
• 1:03
Speaker 1: A jaw-dropping photograph of Prince Andrew reportedly shows him in
• 1:06
Speaker 1: hysterics during his disastrous interview with BBC Newsnight reporter Emily
• 1:12
Speaker 1: Maitlis about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. And it tells
• 1:16
Speaker 1: you everything you need to know about the man. Him
• 1:19
Speaker 1: laughing in a situation like this while under the microscope
• 1:23
Speaker 1: encapsulates everything that is wrong with this idiot. He truly
• 1:29
Speaker 1: thought that he was going to get up there and
• 1:30
Speaker 1: gaslight all of us. Get up there and turn on
• 1:34
Speaker 1: the old charm. Bro, you don't have any charm. You're
• 1:38
Speaker 1: not going to charm anybody. And the only reason anybody
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: ever wants.
• 1:42
Speaker 2: To associate with you is because you're the prince.
• 1:45
Speaker 1: If you were just a regular old Joe Schmo working
• 1:48
Speaker 1: down at the local grocery store, you think anybody would
• 1:51
Speaker 1: want to hang out with you, Prince Andrew? You're not
• 1:55
Speaker 1: a man of personality. You're not a man of intelligence.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: And you're certainly not a man of means. But what
• 2:03
Speaker 1: you are is a callous pig. And the fact that
• 2:07
Speaker 1: you get caught in a picture laughing hysterically while you're
• 2:11
Speaker 1: giving such a serious interview with such serious content, It
• 2:15
Speaker 1: just goes to show you that you are exactly what
• 2:19
Speaker 1: we thought you were. Prince Andrew reportedly laughed his head
• 2:25
Speaker 1: off during his car crash BBC interview about Jeffrey Epstein.
• 2:30
Speaker 1: A BBC picture that apparently shows the royal in hysterics
• 2:33
Speaker 1: has been described as jaw-dropping. So when we were first
• 2:37
Speaker 1: talking about the picture, I was wondering what it possibly
• 2:39
Speaker 1: could be. I mean, what could you snap and get
• 2:43
Speaker 1: this guy caught up in while he's at the palace
• 2:46
Speaker 1: getting ready to give an interview, right?
• 2:48
Speaker 2: I thought it was a pretty vague statement. Oh, we
• 2:50
Speaker 2: have a picture, okay.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: But if there's a picture of him laughing during all
• 2:55
Speaker 1: of this, again, the optics are terrible. And when you're
• 2:59
Speaker 1: somebody in a public position, like Prince Andrew, you better
• 3:02
Speaker 1: damn well make sure that the optics match up. Because
• 3:07
Speaker 1: if not, you're going to get hammered for it. Especially
• 3:10
Speaker 1: when you're already under the microscope the way the Joe
• 3:13
Speaker 1: Exotic of the Windsor family is. The photograph was taken
• 3:19
Speaker 1: during the Duke of York's disastrous Newsnight interview with Emily
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Maitlis in 2019. Prince Andrew desperately tried to defend his
• 3:28
Speaker 1: relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein during the interview and denied
• 3:32
Speaker 1: claims he slept with Jeffrey Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts. And
• 3:38
Speaker 1: that's exactly what it was. It was a denial. He
• 3:40
Speaker 1: thought he was going to get up there. and he
• 3:42
Speaker 1: thought he was going to be given a platform to
• 3:45
Speaker 1: deny what he had done. And nobody was buying it,
• 3:48
Speaker 1: nobody was down with it, and everybody was disgusted by it.
• 3:53
  Speaker 2: If he had.
• 3:53
Speaker 1: Anyone supporting him before that interview, those numbers dwindled significantly
• 3:59
Speaker 1: in the aftermath. The Royal Reacher reported, £ 12 million out-of-court
• 4:09
Speaker 1: settlement with Ms. Roberts earlier this year after she filed
• 4:12
Speaker 1: a sex abuse lawsuit against him in New York. The
• 4:16
Speaker 1: settlement was not an admission of guilt on Andrew's part
• 4:19
Speaker 1: and he has always denied wrongdoing. Look, it doesn't have
• 4:22
Speaker 1: to be an admission on his part, okay? His behavior,
• 4:25
Speaker 1: in my opinion anyway, is an admission of his role
• 4:28
Speaker 1: in all of this. An innocent man doesn't act this way.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: In fact, an innocent man is absolutely innocent. fired up
• 4:36
Speaker 1: and pissed off and ready to defend his name if
• 4:38
Speaker 1: his name's being dragged through the mud. You don't kick
• 4:41
Speaker 1: the can down the road for years and years and
• 4:43
Speaker 1: years and years. People have been saying you've done this
• 4:46
Speaker 1: for how long? How many people has Prince Andrew sued
• 4:49
Speaker 1: for libel or defamation?
• 4:52
Speaker 2: Oh, none. Oh, that's right.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: Because the dude couldn't prove it in court. Even Brettler
• 4:57
Speaker 1: and Marty Singer told old boy it was time to bail.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: So what does that tell you? Might not be an
• 5:03
Speaker 1: admission of guilt, but it's damn sure in the neighborhood.
• 5:08
Speaker 1: Earlier this month, BBC photographer Mark Harrison said the picture
• 5:12
Speaker 1: of Prince Andrew laughing during his Newsnight interview would embarrass
• 5:15
Speaker 1: the royals. He told the Daily Mail the photo has
• 5:18
Speaker 1: been seen by only a few people, but it would
• 5:21
Speaker 1: be a big deal for the royal family. There is
• 5:24
Speaker 1: a lot more from that day that is not yet
• 5:26
Speaker 1: in the public domain. And that's a lead. We all
• 5:28
Speaker 1: know what a lead is. And they're trying to sell
• 5:31
Speaker 1: their content over at BBC. So, of course, they're going
• 5:33
Speaker 1: to pump it up, you know, put some air in
• 5:35
Speaker 1: those tires. And I'm all for it. If you have
• 5:38
Speaker 1: good content and you want to have a lead here
• 5:41
Speaker 1: and open it up for further discussion, great. Let's get
• 5:46
Speaker 1: to it. Let's see the picture, though. I could see
• 5:48
Speaker 1: why the royal family wouldn't want to see it. I mean,
• 5:51
Speaker 1: let's be real. Prince Andrew laughing in the middle of
• 5:55
Speaker 1: this interview, talking about sexual assault, rape, Jeffrey Epstein, human trafficking,
• 6:00
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, underage kids. That's the time to laugh? Now
• 6:04
Speaker 1: it's the time to have a big belly full of
• 6:07
Speaker 1: a laugh? Probably not a good idea. A source told
• 6:12
Speaker 1: The Sun, people will feel it was reckless for him
• 6:15
Speaker 1: to laugh during such a sensitive interview.
• 6:17
  Speaker 2: Yeah, no shit.
• 6:19
Speaker 1: I mean, you don't have to know decorum and you
• 6:22
Speaker 1: don't have to have been raised in Buckingham Palace to
• 6:25
Speaker 1: know how bad that looks. But he probably didn't realize
• 6:29
Speaker 1: the seriousness or consequences of laughing or how it would
• 6:33
Speaker 1: look on camera. It's always he didn't realize, he didn't this,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: he didn't that. I mean, is the guy like mentally
• 6:40
Speaker 1: challenged or what? Because it sure seems to me like
• 6:44
Speaker 1: he's pretty slow. Maybe he should have Somebody to take
• 6:49
Speaker 1: care of him. Maybe he should just be like. Put
• 6:52
Speaker 1: into the tower. The Tower of London. And kept under observation.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: So he doesn't blunder around anymore. You have to bear
• 7:03
Speaker 1: in mind. That after the interview. He thought it had
• 7:05
Speaker 1: gone very well. Only to be subsequently hit. By a
• 7:09
Speaker 1: wave of negative reactions. I have no idea how you
• 7:13
Speaker 1: could think that this went well. And I don't know
• 7:15
Speaker 1: how your people around you didn't say to you, bro,
• 7:18
Speaker 1: this was a disaster. We need to get ready to
• 7:20
Speaker 1: do some cleanup work because you're going to look real
• 7:24
Speaker 1: bad after all of this. Former Newsnight producer Sam McAllister
• 7:30
Speaker 1: could publish the unseen picture of Andrew in her upcoming
• 7:34
Speaker 1: book about the interview. The BBC interrogation is reportedly set
• 7:38
Speaker 1: to become a movie potentially starring Hugh Grant. The interview
• 7:42
Speaker 1: had disastrous consequences for Andrew, who shortly afterwards stepped down
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: as a senior.
• 7:47
Speaker 2: Royal amid the huge public backlash.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: I've heard that Hugh Grant isn't going to be involved
• 7:53
Speaker 1: in this project after all, so I'm interested to see
• 7:57
Speaker 1: who they get to play Prince Andrew. His attempts to
• 8:02
Speaker 1: defend himself against Miss Roberts' claims in the interview were
• 8:05
Speaker 1: roundly mocked because he didn't attempt to defend himself. He
• 8:10
Speaker 1: attempted to smooth his rollover and act like it was
• 8:12
Speaker 1: no big deal and act like him hanging out with
• 8:14
Speaker 1: Epstein had nothing to do with any of these girls
• 8:17
Speaker 1: getting abused. He refuses to see the issue here, and
• 8:21
Speaker 1: the issue, you dumb fuck, is you. He claimed he
• 8:26
Speaker 1: went to Pizza Express in Woking on the day of
• 8:29
Speaker 1: one of her claims and also insisted he could not sweat.
• 8:33
Speaker 1: The royal also came under fire for describing his convicted
• 8:36
Speaker 1: pedophile pal Epstein's behavior as unbecoming. Imagine explaining Epstein and
• 8:42
Speaker 1: his behavior as anything besides sick, twisted, disgusting, and just
• 8:47
Speaker 1: saying it was unbecoming.
• 8:48
Speaker 2: Really? You know what's unbecoming? You.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: You're unbecoming, Prince Andrew. When Miss Maitlis shot back saying unbecoming,
• 8:59
Speaker 1: he was a sex offender. Andrew replied, yeah, I'm sorry,
• 9:03
Speaker 1: I'm being polite. I mean in the sense that he
• 9:05
Speaker 1: was a sex offender. Like, here you go, here's a shovel,
• 9:08
Speaker 1: dig the hole a little bit deeper for yourself. Andrew
• 9:12
Speaker 1: also tried to defend the decision to stay at Epstein's
• 9:15
Speaker 1: house after the pedophile was convicted of a child prostitution charge. Alright,
• 9:20
Speaker 1: first of all, you can't be a child and be
• 9:22
Speaker 1: a prostitute. When are these papers going to add that
• 9:26
Speaker 1: to what they're talking about? As if it's just ho-hum,
• 9:30
Speaker 1: go about your business. Oh, there's child prostitutes.
• 9:32
  Speaker 2: That's okay.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: Let's go to the bodega and get a ham, egg,
• 9:35
Speaker 1: and cheeser. That should launch people into orbit seeing those words,
• 9:39
Speaker 1: child prostitute. What is this, the year 765? He said
• 9:48
Speaker 1: it was a convenient place to stay. At the end
• 9:50
Speaker 1: of the day, with the benefit of all the hindsight
• 9:52
Speaker 1: that one can have, it was definitely the wrong thing
• 9:55
Speaker 1: to do. Imagine staying the night at Jeffrey Epstein's after
• 9:58
Speaker 1: you know he's a convicted pedophile. and then having the
• 10:01
Speaker 1: audacity to try and defend that decision oh well you
• 10:04
Speaker 1: know I look back on it now it was the
• 10:06
Speaker 1: wrong thing to do yeah you think But at the time,
• 10:13
Speaker 1: I felt it was the honorable and right thing to do.
• 10:16
Speaker 1: And I admit fully that my judgment was probably colored
• 10:19
Speaker 1: by my tendency to be too honorable. But that's just
• 10:22
Speaker 1: the way it is. Imagine saying this. Oh, your honor
• 10:26
Speaker 1: dictated that you had to stay the night over at
• 10:29
Speaker 1: the diddler on the roof's house, huh? What sort of twisted,
• 10:34
Speaker 1: broken ass honor system do you live by? Epstein took
• 10:38
Speaker 1: his own life. allegedly, while awaiting trial on sex trafficking
• 10:42
Speaker 1: charges in 2019. A spokesman for the Duke of York
• 10:46
Speaker 1: declined to comment. Oh, I'm sure he did. I am
• 10:49
Speaker 1: sure he did. So, we were wondering what that photograph
• 10:53
Speaker 1: might have in store for us, and it looks like
• 10:56
Speaker 1: it's a picture of dumbass laughing like he has no
• 10:59
Speaker 1: cares in the world, when, in fact, he's under the
• 11:02
Speaker 1: microscope for being involved in one of the largest human
• 11:06
Speaker 1: trafficking rings we've seen. And this moron thinks it's the
• 11:10
Speaker 1: time to laugh. That, my friends, tells you everything you
• 11:14
Speaker 1: need to know about the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
• 11:30
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The
• 11:37
Speaker 1: link that I discussed can be found in the description box. Alright,
• 11:42
Speaker 1: what's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: So there's a Newsnight photographer who claims that he has
• 11:49
Speaker 1: a picture of Prince Andrew that would rock the monarchy
• 11:52
Speaker 1: if it was ever made public. Now, what the hell
• 11:55
Speaker 1: kind of picture could he possibly have? We've already seen
• 11:59
Speaker 1: the picture with Prince Andrew having his arm around Virginia
• 12:03
Speaker 1: Roberts with Maxwell in the background. So what else could
• 12:07
Speaker 1: this guy possibly have that would make the monarchy get rocked? Well,
• 12:13
Speaker 1: let's jump into this article from the Daily Mail and
• 12:16
Speaker 1: let's find out. Headline, Newsnight photographer claims to have picture
• 12:20
Speaker 1: of Prince Andrew that would rock the monarchy if it
• 12:24
Speaker 1: was ever made public. This article was authored by Emily
• 12:28
Speaker 1: Prescott and Katie Hind. A photographer working for the BBC
• 12:34
Speaker 1: during Prince Andrew's car crash Newsnight interview claims to have
• 12:38
Speaker 1: taken a shocking picture of the royal that would shake
• 12:41
Speaker 1: the monarchy if it ever became public. Now, what sort
• 12:45
Speaker 1: of picture could you possibly get during this interview? Did
• 12:48
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew show up in his chonies or something? Dude
• 12:51
Speaker 1: showed up in a pair of bikini bottoms? What kind
• 12:55
Speaker 1: of picture could you possibly get that would rock the monarchy?
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Mark Harrison declined to reveal what he captured, but said
• 13:04
Speaker 1: it would embarrass Prince Andrew and the royal family if
• 13:07
Speaker 1: it were released. It is understood that the Duke insisted
• 13:10
Speaker 1: the picture never become public, but Mr. Harrison hinted that
• 13:15
Speaker 1: it may feature in a forthcoming film about how the
• 13:18
Speaker 1: BBC secured the interview. A dramatization producers may feel free
• 13:23
Speaker 1: to recreate their own version of the jaw-dropping image. So...
• 13:29
Speaker 1: A lot to unpack there. We know about the movie
• 13:32
Speaker 1: coming up called Scoop about the Prince Andrew interview. And
• 13:37
Speaker 1: Hugh Grant was allegedly tied to it, but he came
• 13:40
Speaker 1: out and said that no, he has nothing to do
• 13:43
Speaker 1: with it. So we'll have to see who they cast
• 13:45
Speaker 1: for it. But I'm guessing it's going to be a
• 13:48
Speaker 1: pretty explosive movie, right? Pretty interesting. You can count me in. Look,
• 13:53
Speaker 1: put the pre-sale tickets on sale. I'll buy some now.
• 13:58
Speaker 1: point of the story is, I'm definitely going to see it.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: A source close to the Newsnight interview who has seen
• 14:05
Speaker 1: the original photograph said that if it became public, it
• 14:09
Speaker 1: will be shocking, especially if it's decontextualized. What could it
• 14:14
Speaker 1: possibly be? Now, I really don't have any idea, so
• 14:18
Speaker 1: those of you listening out there, shoot me some emails
• 14:21
Speaker 1: and tell me what you think this picture might be.
• 14:23
Speaker 2: That'll be so embarrassing.
• 14:26
Speaker 1: I mean, they took the picture at the palace and
• 14:28
Speaker 1: He was there with Beatrice and Amanda Thirsk. So I
• 14:31
Speaker 1: don't know exactly what he could have been doing that
• 14:35
Speaker 1: could have been captured in photographic form. But according to
• 14:41
Speaker 1: the photographer here, he has something. Our jaws dropped to
• 14:47
Speaker 1: the floor when we saw it. It would cause Andrew
• 14:49
Speaker 1: much embarrassment. And imagine how high the bar has to
• 14:53
Speaker 1: be to cause him embarrassment after everything that has happened.
• 14:57
  Speaker 2: All right.
• 14:59
Speaker 1: Now I really need to know what this picture contains.
• 15:04
Speaker 1: We saw the picture of him with Virginia and it's
• 15:07
Speaker 1: more shocking than that. As just stated, the bar is
• 15:11
Speaker 1: pretty high for us to be shocked when it comes
• 15:14
Speaker 1: to the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family. The Duke
• 15:19
Speaker 1: effectively became a pariah following his catastrophic interview with Emily
• 15:23
Speaker 1: Maitlis about his relationship with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and claims,
• 15:29
Speaker 1: which he always has denied, that he had sex on
• 15:33
Speaker 1: three occasions with sex trafficking survivor Virginia Roberts. You mean
• 15:38
Speaker 1: Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts, right? So this guy, Prince Andrew...
• 15:45
  Speaker 1: Certainly a pariah. There's no doubt about that. I don't
• 15:47
Speaker 1: think there's any sort of discussion that could dispute that.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: But if this picture is this explosive, don't you think
• 15:59
Speaker 1: that the BBC should just put it out and not
• 16:01
Speaker 1: wait and tease people for the big release in the movie? Mr. Harrison,
• 16:08
Speaker 1: an award-winning portrait photographer, said of his shot, it has
• 16:11
Speaker 1: been seen by only a few people, but it would
• 16:14
Speaker 1: be a big deal for the royal family. There is
• 16:17
Speaker 1: a lot more from that day that is not yet
• 16:19
Speaker 1: in the public domain. All right, we could look at
• 16:21
Speaker 1: this two different ways, right? We could look at this
• 16:24
Speaker 1: as them having the goods and get excited about getting
• 16:27
Speaker 1: to see those goods eventually. Or we could say to ourselves,
• 16:31
Speaker 1: are you just trying to promote for your new movie?
• 16:34
Speaker 1: And if you are, that's cool. I'm totally fine with it.
• 16:36
Speaker 2: But... You know, don't be disingenuous.
• 16:40
Speaker 1: Oh, there's so much more that the public hasn't seen.
• 16:42
  Speaker 2: Well, why not?
• 16:44
Speaker 1: Why hasn't the public seen it? The source added, it's
• 16:49
Speaker 1: the kind of thing which would make the public drop
• 16:51
Speaker 1: their cornflakes. It is definitely not what Andrew would want
• 16:55
Speaker 1: out there. And apparently he insisted that it remained secret.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: It was not one of the shots the BBC released.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: So there's a lot here. Why is the BBC letting
• 17:05
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew dictate what's released and what's not? You know,
• 17:11
Speaker 1: for all the credit we give the BBC for this interview,
• 17:14
Speaker 1: they haven't been at the forefront here of going after Andrew.
• 17:17
Speaker 1: We have to give a nod of the cap to
• 17:19
Speaker 1: the Daily Mail and The Sun. And you could call
• 17:21
  Speaker 1: them tabloids.
• 17:22
  Speaker 2: They are.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: But guess what? They were right about Prince Andrew. They
• 17:26
Speaker 1: were right about Jeffrey Epstein. They were right about Bill Clinton.
• 17:30
Speaker 1: They were right about Glenn Maxwell. So you got to
• 17:32
Speaker 1: give them their credit. And they've been all over this
• 17:36
Speaker 1: story since Jump Street. But BBC, well, we all know
• 17:39
Speaker 1: how BBC has protected people like Jimmy Savile in the past.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: So what would make us think that would be any
• 17:45
Speaker 1: different this time around? I feel the same way about
• 17:50
Speaker 1: the BBC as I do about the other legacy media organizations.
• 17:58
Speaker 1: There is, of course, a chance that it will at
• 18:00
Speaker 1: some point come out for all to see, perhaps if
• 18:03
Speaker 1: the price is right. Of course, the movie about the
• 18:06
Speaker 1: interview is happening, so that is a possibility. Oh, the
• 18:09
Speaker 1: price is right. Again, it's always about the money, right?
• 18:11
Speaker 1: If the price is right, the price is right, the
• 18:12
  Speaker 1: price is right.
• 18:13
  Speaker 2: Well, how much?
• 18:15
Speaker 1: How much are you charging to get this picture? And
• 18:17
Speaker 1: let's crowdfund it. I got the first couple of hundred
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: bucks towards it.
• 18:21
  Speaker 2: Let's do this.
• 18:23
Speaker 1: I mean, what does that even mean if the price
• 18:24
Speaker 1: is right? So you're telling me you're going to try
• 18:26
Speaker 1: and make more money off of the suffering.
• 18:29
Speaker 2: Of these survivors? How about just release all.
• 18:32
Speaker 1: The information you have if you have information, if you
• 18:35
Speaker 1: have a picture? It's just like that Mark Dugan guy,
• 18:37
Speaker 1: Mark John Dugan or whatever the hell his name is.
• 18:40
Speaker 1: The guy that said he had a bunch of videotape
• 18:42
Speaker 1: and this, that, the other thing. And certain people bought
• 18:45
Speaker 1: into it, right? What did I tell you from Jump Street?
• 18:49
Speaker 1: Dude has nothing. He has guanjil, nada, nothing. And once again,
• 18:56
Speaker 1: proved to be right, wasn't it? There's so many people,
• 18:59
Speaker 1: my point here is, there are so many people involved
• 19:03
Speaker 1: with this case, with this story, that are just so hell-bent.
• 19:08
Speaker 1: On turning it into a financial windfall for themselves that
• 19:11
Speaker 1: they don't really care about the survivors. Now, it's okay
• 19:14
Speaker 1: to make some money, right? You're allowed to make some money.
• 19:18
Speaker 1: I have no problem with that. But when the whole
• 19:20
Speaker 1: entire thing is about money and securing that bag and
• 19:24
Speaker 1: not about getting justice for the survivors, that's when I
• 19:27
Speaker 1: have something to say about you. And it certainly looks
• 19:30
Speaker 1: like the BBC is trying to, you know, make a
• 19:33
Speaker 1: few bucks here, when the reality is, as a news organization,
• 19:37
Speaker 1: you should just be releasing this stuff to the public.
• 19:43
Speaker 1: Filming starts on Scoop in November, based on a new
• 19:46
Speaker 1: non-fiction book by former Newsnight producer Sam McAllister... about how
• 19:50
Speaker 1: the BBC secured some of its landmark interviews, including the
• 19:54
Speaker 1: bombshell encounter with Andrew at Buckingham Palace on November 14th, 2019.
• 20:01
Speaker 1: And look, I'm all for the movie, right? Any more
• 20:03
Speaker 1: information we can get that we can pick through and
• 20:06
Speaker 1: put the reconstructed bones back together, I am all for it.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: That's why you never hear me get too fired up
• 20:13
Speaker 1: about these documentaries or shows like the one that was
• 20:17
Speaker 1: just on Starz about Ghislaine Maxwell.
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: Not great, right?
• 20:21
Speaker 1: But again, if it opens the door for some people
• 20:23
Speaker 1: to see what's going on and get fired up about
• 20:27
Speaker 1: what's going on or what has went on, then I'm
• 20:29
Speaker 1: all for it. And when it comes to making money,
• 20:33
Speaker 1: like I said, look, that too. Everybody got to eat, right?
• 20:37
Speaker 1: Nobody should be doing shit for free. but the BBC
• 20:40
Speaker 1: trying to profit on the back end three, four times, look,
• 20:44
Speaker 1: you're a news organization. Let's see that picture. In February,
• 20:51
Speaker 1: Andrew settled a sexual assault case Ms. Roberts filed in
• 20:54
Speaker 1: the U.S. under her married name for an undisclosed sum.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: Under the deal, the prince made no admission of guilt. Oh, well,
• 21:02
Speaker 1: that might be the case, but let me see a
• 21:04
Speaker 1: show of hands out there of people who think he's guilty.
• 21:07
  Speaker 2: Oh, that's right.
• 21:08
Speaker 1: I can't see any hands that are down. Oh, so
• 21:10
Speaker 1: we all think he's guilty.
• 21:11
  Speaker 2: Okay, that's cool.
• 21:12
Speaker 1: Reality though, he didn't have to take any guilt. He
• 21:15
Speaker 1: didn't have, you know, his record wasn't showing that he's guilty.
• 21:18
Speaker 1: But in the eyes of the public, in the eyes
• 21:20
Speaker 1: of society as a whole, there's nobody more guilty than
• 21:24
Speaker 1: this scumbag. And again, remember, it's not just the enabling.
• 21:28
Speaker 1: While that's gross and scummy as well, Andrew is directly
• 21:31
Speaker 1: related to the actual abuse. And that's a whole different
• 21:34
Speaker 1: level for me. Once you're involved in the actual abuse
• 21:37
Speaker 1: or accused of that, you're a whole different kind of scumbag.
• 21:43
Speaker 1: And if you got a picture, BBC, that's going to
• 21:45
Speaker 1: embarrass the scumbag further, let's see it. The Prince's spokeswoman
• 21:51
Speaker 1: declined to comment on the photograph last night, and the
• 21:54
Speaker 1: BBC did not respond to her request to do so.
• 21:58
Speaker 2: Well, folks, there it is.
• 22:00
Speaker 1: The story about the photograph that they allegedly have that
• 22:04
Speaker 1: can embarrass Prince Andrew even further. What that photograph is,
• 22:07
Speaker 1: I have no idea. But if you have an idea,
• 22:11
Speaker 1: why don't you shoot me an email, send me a
• 22:13
Speaker 1: message on Twitter, so I can get clued in to
• 22:17
Speaker 1: what you know. All right, folks, that's going to do
• 22:19
Speaker 1: it for this episode. If you'd like to contact me,
• 22:22
Speaker 1: you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I
• 22:30
Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. You can also find me on Twitter at
• 22:34
Speaker 1: B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I discussed can be
• 22:40
Speaker 1: found in the description box. What's up everyone and welcome
• 22:47
Speaker 1: back to the Epstein Chronicles. Recently we heard from the
• 22:51
Speaker 1: producer who was responsible for setting up the Prince Andrew
• 22:56
Speaker 1: interview with BBC. And her name is Sam McAllister and
• 23:02
Speaker 1: she had some pretty interesting insight to offer. Well, in
• 23:05
Speaker 1: a new article from the Irish Mirror... We're getting some
• 23:08
Speaker 1: more details from her about what exactly what went down
• 23:13
Speaker 1: and how Prince Andrew had this idea that he did
• 23:18
Speaker 1: this great job after this interview. Whereas the rest of
• 23:22
Speaker 1: the world who witnessed it, who watched it, who listened
• 23:25
Speaker 1: to it, they came to a different conclusion for the
• 23:28
Speaker 1: most part. And this interview was the beginning of the
• 23:33
Speaker 1: end for Prince Andrew, folks. No doubt in my mind
• 23:37
Speaker 1: that this was the beginning of the end. How many
• 23:40
Speaker 1: times have people said, open your mouth and insert your foot?
• 23:45
Speaker 1: Because that certainly is what Prince Andrew did. And he's
• 23:49
Speaker 1: going to pay for it for the rest of his life.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: And I look at it as karma almost, right? Why
• 23:55
Speaker 1: are you giving an interview to the BBC before you
• 23:58
Speaker 1: even speak to the FBI? What are you really trying
• 24:02
Speaker 1: to accomplish? You're not trying to help the people who
• 24:05
Speaker 1: were abused, obviously. You're trying to save a little bit
• 24:08
Speaker 1: of face. And frankly, these people have been allowed to
• 24:13
Speaker 1: save face for way too long. In fact, these people
• 24:17
Speaker 1: have been so protected, folks. Let's remember that ABC and
• 24:21
Speaker 1: Amy Robach quashed an interview with Virginia Roberts that had
• 24:25
Speaker 1: all the goods on these people in 2015. So all
• 24:31
Speaker 1: of you folks out there who didn't know much about
• 24:33
Speaker 1: this story and might have heard just little tidbits and decided, hey,
• 24:37
Speaker 1: there's not enough out there. I have to go and
• 24:39
Speaker 1: find my own information. Well, you can thank the legacy
• 24:42
Speaker 1: media for failing at their job to inform you correctly.
• 24:46
Speaker 1: Because they've had all this information even longer than I have.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: But they sat on it. They refused to give it
• 24:53
Speaker 1: to you. All because they didn't want to lose access
• 24:55
Speaker 1: to people like the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: And could there be anything more absurd? Who the hell
• 25:05
Speaker 1: cares if you lose access to these sick, disgusting people?
• 25:11
Speaker 1: The idea, as a journalist, is to hold people of
• 25:14
Speaker 1: power accountable. And to educate the rest of the citizens.
• 25:19
Speaker 1: That's why it's called the Fourth Estate. And that's why
• 25:22
Speaker 1: the media is given such great privileges. But they failed
• 25:26
Speaker 1: big time here, folks. 100%, without a doubt, failed. Not
• 25:31
Speaker 1: only failed you, but more importantly, it failed the girls
• 25:36
Speaker 1: who were abused. Because if this story could have gotten
• 25:39
Speaker 1: out earlier, how many girls would have avoided this fate?
• 25:46
Speaker 1: And I'm never going to let the legacy media live
• 25:49
Speaker 1: it down. Today we have an article, like I said,
• 25:53
Speaker 1: from the Irish Mirror, and headline, Prince Andrew was a
• 25:56
Speaker 1: bomb waiting to go off as fresh details emerged from
• 26:00
Speaker 1: his disastrous interview. This article was authored by Teresa Gotine
• 26:06
Speaker 1: Martinez and Michelle Cullen. Sam McAllister, who was responsible for
• 26:13
Speaker 1: setting up the Duke of York's explosive interview in November
• 26:17
Speaker 1: of 2019, said, has written a memoir, Scoops, in which
• 26:21
Speaker 1: she detailed the bizarre event. So if you were her,
• 26:26
Speaker 1: why wouldn't you parlay this into something? Write a book,
• 26:29
Speaker 1: write a story, do the circuit, you know, make a
• 26:32
Speaker 1: few bucks from it. I say good for Sam McAllister.
• 26:36
Speaker 1: She was the one who set this all up. She
• 26:38
Speaker 1: was the one who put it into motion. So she
• 26:41
Speaker 1: should definitely be the one to get the nod and
• 26:43
Speaker 1: the credit. You see, a lot of these times, the
• 26:46
Speaker 1: journalist gets the credit, right? But behind the scenes, it's
• 26:49
Speaker 1: the producer, the field producers, who are setting all of
• 26:52
Speaker 1: this up. Finding people to interview, figuring out topics, and
• 26:57
Speaker 1: then these high-paid newsreaders that you see on TV, Rachel Maddow,
• 27:02
Speaker 1: Sean Hannity, the rest of these boobs, they just get
• 27:05
Speaker 1: up there and they parrot whatever their producers find out
• 27:08
Speaker 1: or figure out. And they get all of the accolades,
• 27:12
Speaker 1: they get all of the pats on the back, And
• 27:15
Speaker 1: most importantly, they get all of the money when in reality,
• 27:19
Speaker 1: it's these producers that are doing all the hard work.
• 27:22
Speaker 1: So people like Sam McAllister, when they're able to double
• 27:25
Speaker 1: down and make a few dollars on the stuff that
• 27:28
Speaker 1: they did by flipping a book or something like that,
• 27:31
Speaker 1: I say go for it. It's hard enough trying to
• 27:34
Speaker 1: carve out a chunk. When you're somebody who's involved in
• 27:38
Speaker 1: the media or creating content. So if there's a money-making
• 27:42
Speaker 1: opportunity for you and it's based solely on your work especially,
• 27:46
Speaker 1: you should definitely jump at that. Appearing on this morning
• 27:51
Speaker 1: to discuss the unforgettable appearance of Andrew on the flagship program,
• 27:56
Speaker 1: which saw him speak about his friendship with convicted pedophile
• 27:59
Speaker 1: and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, Ms. McAllister was asked by
• 28:04
Speaker 1: ITV presenter Holly Willoughby whether she thought that Duke 62
• 28:09
Speaker 1: regretted agreeing to the interview. Look, I certainly didn't work
• 28:14
Speaker 1: on getting the interview with Prince Andrew here, but I'm
• 28:18
Speaker 1: pretty sure it's right up there in his top five
• 28:22
Speaker 1: regrets of all time. Right along with hanging out with Epstein. Well,
• 28:26
Speaker 1: maybe that isn't a regret after all. He had a
• 28:28
Speaker 1: chance to say that and he didn't. So who knows
• 28:30
Speaker 1: what his biggest regrets really are. But this has to
• 28:33
Speaker 1: be at the top of the list, right? Giving this interview.
• 28:37
Speaker 1: Outing yourself for a complete moron. For the whole entire
• 28:40
Speaker 1: world to see. Before it was just people who were
• 28:43
Speaker 1: paying attention to the royal family, right? A lot of
• 28:46
Speaker 1: you out there follow the royal family and stuff. You
• 28:48
Speaker 1: all knew that Prince Andrew was an absolute boob. Frankly,
• 28:52
Speaker 1: until the Jeffrey Epstein story, I had no idea who
• 28:54
Speaker 1: he really was besides the Prince of England. I had
• 28:57
Speaker 1: no desire to research him.
• 28:59
  Speaker 2: I didn't care.
• 29:00
Speaker 1: I really just didn't care about him or anyone in
• 29:03
Speaker 1: the royal family for that matter. And I still feel
• 29:06
Speaker 1: the same way. When this saga closes, you know, I
• 29:11
Speaker 1: really have nothing else to say about the royal family. Honestly,
• 29:14
Speaker 1: it's just I have bigger problems, I guess. You know,
• 29:17
Speaker 1: I always talk about how Maillard If my yard's dirty,
• 29:20
Speaker 1: I can't talk about my neighbors. So I have my
• 29:22
Speaker 1: own problems here in the United States to worry about.
• 29:25
Speaker 1: I can't worry about, you know, the royal family. But
• 29:28
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's bitch ass? Oh yeah, bro, you're on the
• 29:31
Speaker 1: radar forever now. And as long as you stick around
• 29:34
Speaker 1: and you keep hanging out with the royal family and
• 29:36
Speaker 1: trying to make your way back, well, people like me...
• 29:40
Speaker 1: are going to make your life miserable and the collateral
• 29:43
Speaker 1: damage unfortunately for you and the royalists is going to
• 29:46
Speaker 1: be the royal family she replied i think he was
• 29:51
Speaker 1: a bomb waiting to go off he wanted to say
• 29:53
Speaker 1: something he wanted to vindicate himself reports the express Now,
• 29:58
Speaker 1: I know that seems ludicrous now, but nobody thinks they're
• 30:01
Speaker 1: going to do a bad interview. He thought he would
• 30:04
Speaker 1: explain himself, and he thought this would all go away.
• 30:08
Speaker 1: So I suspect, if he went back, he would still
• 30:11
Speaker 1: do an interview, but I doubt it would be with Emily,
• 30:14
Speaker 1: and I doubt it would be with Newsnight. Oh, I
• 30:19
Speaker 1: doubt that as well. He'd probably go and do the
• 30:22
Speaker 1: interview with, uh, The guy that got all of those
• 30:24
Speaker 1: Maxwell family interviews, whatever that dude's name is over in England.
• 30:28
Speaker 1: The guy that was crowing about how Maxwell's innocent and
• 30:31
  Speaker 1: this is.
• 30:31
Speaker 2: All a setup. The blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
• 30:34
Speaker 1: Whoever that clown is. I don't even remember his name.
• 30:37
Speaker 1: But that's probably the person he would have went and
• 30:40
Speaker 1: had the interview with. Or maybe he would have set
• 30:43
Speaker 1: it up with one of his boys in New York. Mr.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: Clogs himself, George Stepanopoulos. Maybe Katie Couric. Weren't they all
• 30:50
Speaker 1: at Prince Andrew's little soiree dinner? That Jeffrey Epstein threw
• 30:55
Speaker 1: for him? And again, I don't know about you folks,
• 30:57
Speaker 1: but me personally, I've never been to dinner with one
• 31:00
  Speaker 1: child abuser.
• 31:01
  Speaker 2: Never mind multiple.
• 31:05
Speaker 1: In January, the Duke of York was stripped of his
• 31:07
Speaker 1: military titles in the face of the legal battle over
• 31:10
Speaker 1: accusations by Virginia Roberts, 38.
• 31:13
  Speaker 2: Ms.
• 31:14
Speaker 1: Roberts said she was coerced into sexual encounters with Andrew
• 31:18
Speaker 1: in 2001 by Epstein and his longtime co-conspirator, General All-Around Scuzzbag,
• 31:24
Speaker 1: fellow child abuser, Ghislaine Maxwell, on three different occasions. Andrew,
• 31:30
Speaker 1: who has always denied the allegations against him, in March
• 31:33
Speaker 1: agreed to pay a multi-million pound sum with no admission
• 31:36
Speaker 1: of liability to bring the civil sexual assault case to
• 31:40
Speaker 1: a close. It's funny how everyone's so cautious when they
• 31:43
Speaker 1: talk about Andrew as well.
• 31:44
Speaker 2: You know what? I'll say it.
• 31:46
Speaker 1: I wish the royal family would sue me because I
• 31:48
Speaker 1: have news for you. We're going all the way to discovery.
• 31:52
Speaker 1: I would go all the way to discovery with these people.
• 31:57
Speaker 1: So I don't know what all these journalists are so
• 31:59
  Speaker 1: scared about.
• 32:00
Speaker 2: Oh, I don't want to slander him.
• 32:02
Speaker 1: How can you slander a scumbag like this at this point?
• 32:07
Speaker 1: A man that was willing to stand on the sidelines
• 32:10
Speaker 1: while abused girls suffered. A man that, according to Virginia,
• 32:15
Speaker 1: took part in the abuse himself. As part of the settlement,
• 32:22
Speaker 1: which is not an admission of guilt, the Duke vowed
• 32:24
Speaker 1: to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by
• 32:28
Speaker 1: supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking and
• 32:31
Speaker 1: by supporting its victims.
• 32:33
Speaker 2: This is so ridiculous.
• 32:35
Speaker 1: It's as ridiculous as putting Ghislaine Maxwell and Danbury with
• 32:38
Speaker 1: other victims of human traffickers, as if that won't be
• 32:42
  Speaker 1: triggering to them.
• 32:45
Speaker 2: But this is crazy.
• 32:47
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's going to become this fighter against human trafficking?
• 32:52
Speaker 1: The consoler of widows? The friend to orphans? The patron
• 32:59
Speaker 1: saint of lepers? That's what he is all of a sudden?
• 33:02
Speaker 1: Please miss me with the bullshit, please. But this did
• 33:07
Speaker 1: not save the prince's reputation, which virtually died as the
• 33:10
Speaker 1: Newsnight interview was broadcast. Ms. McAllister said she still can't
• 33:15
Speaker 1: believe some of what the royal said on camera. She
• 33:18
Speaker 1: couldn't believe either that the interview was eventually going to happen.
• 33:22
  Speaker 2: She told Ms.
• 33:23
Speaker 1: Willoughby and Phillips Schofield, who would say yes to being
• 33:28
Speaker 1: on Newsnight when you're accused of the things you're accused
• 33:31
Speaker 1: of there. I never for a second believed that this
• 33:34
Speaker 1: negotiation would be successful.
• 33:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, me either. How in the hell would Prince Andrew
• 33:40
Speaker 2: ever agree to this?
• 33:42
Speaker 1: It is so bizarre that this dude would agree to this.
• 33:45
Speaker 1: It's just, I don't even know where to begin. The
• 33:51
Speaker 1: producer went on to explain that Princess Beatrice, whom Andrew
• 33:54
Speaker 1: invited to the final negotiations, made the difference between yes
• 33:58
Speaker 1: and no. Hey, look, his daughter is doing the right thing.
• 34:00
Speaker 1: She wants to believe her dad, right? I want to
• 34:03
Speaker 1: believe my dad. I want to believe that my dad's
• 34:05
Speaker 1: a good man. How many of us believe our fathers
• 34:07
Speaker 1: are superheroes almost? So, of course, if someone's saying this
• 34:11
Speaker 1: about your dad, you're not going to believe it, right?
• 34:14
Speaker 1: And you're going to say to your dad, hey, dad,
• 34:15
Speaker 1: just go clear the air. Go get on the record
• 34:18
Speaker 1: and tell these people what's up. I know I'd be
• 34:20
Speaker 1: pushing for my dad to tell the truth. And I'm
• 34:23
Speaker 1: sure that's what his daughter was doing here. The Duke's
• 34:27
Speaker 1: eldest daughter was a real curveball for the production team,
• 34:30
Speaker 1: as Miss McAllister said. Miss McAllister explained, Look. Look. It
• 34:57
Speaker 1: has to be a bit uncomfortable, right? You're about to
• 34:59
Speaker 1: blast this dude with a bunch of serious questions about
• 35:02
Speaker 1: sexual abuse and his relationship with a notorious pedophile, and
• 35:07
Speaker 1: he brings his daughter? So again, not Beatrice's fault, but
• 35:12
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew once again trying to use his children as
• 35:15
Speaker 1: a shield. And real men do not bring their family
• 35:18
Speaker 1: into these sorts of matters, that's for damn sure. Real
• 35:21
Speaker 1: men don't find themselves in these sorts of matters. But
• 35:25
Speaker 1: here Prince Andrew is, And well, a real man, he
• 35:29
Speaker 1: is not. Alright folks, that's going to do it for
• 35:32
Speaker 1: this episode. If you'd like to contact me, you can
• 35:35
  Speaker 1: do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: You can also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I.
• 35:52
Speaker 1: The link that we discussed can be found in the
• 35:54
Speaker 1: description box. What's up everyone, and welcome back to the
• 35:59
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So Prince Andrew's dumbass is back in the news,
• 36:05
Speaker 1: and we're hearing from one of his pals, a lawyer
• 36:08
Speaker 1: who is a defamation lawyer named Paul Tweed, who said
• 36:11
Speaker 1: he advised Prince Andrew about speaking to BBC and giving
• 36:15
Speaker 1: that Newsnight interview. He told Prince Andrew that it was
• 36:19
Speaker 1: an absolutely terrible idea, but like usual, Prince Andrew, well,
• 36:23
Speaker 1: he knows better. The queen also told him, not a
• 36:26
Speaker 1: great idea, buddy. But of course, Andrew thought he was
• 36:29
Speaker 1: going to get up there and gaslight everybody and tell
• 36:32
Speaker 1: the whole world that he was an innocent man. And instead,
• 36:36
Speaker 1: it was the opposite reaction, wasn't it? Everybody took a
• 36:39
Speaker 1: look at that interview and said to themselves, what an
• 36:42
Speaker 1: absolute skeevox this dude is. He didn't offer any bit
• 36:46
Speaker 1: of evidence. He didn't offer anything that would change my
• 36:49
Speaker 1: mind anyway about what we have learned about this dude.
• 36:53
Speaker 1: And besides a bunch of nonsense coming from surrogates and
• 36:56
Speaker 1: people around him, there's nobody that's serious that's talking about
• 37:00
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew making a comeback or anything like that. That's
• 37:04
Speaker 1: all just fantasy land. Stuff that his camp floats out there.
• 37:08
Speaker 1: You know, the four or five people that are still
• 37:10
Speaker 1: around him. They float that out there and they see
• 37:12
Speaker 1: what happens. What's the reaction going to be? But the
• 37:15
Speaker 1: reality for Prince Andrew is the party is over. He's
• 37:18
Speaker 1: never coming back. He's never going to be welcomed back
• 37:22
Speaker 1: into polite society, and most certainly, not as a representative
• 37:26
Speaker 1: of the English people. Today we have an article from
• 37:30
Speaker 1: the DailyMail.com, headline, I warn Prince Andrew it was a
• 37:34
Speaker 1: bad idea to agree to the infamous Newsnight interview, Duke
• 37:38
Speaker 1: of York's lawyer pal says. This article was authored by
• 37:42
Speaker 1: Vanessa Allen and Claudia Joseph. You have to be one
• 37:46
Speaker 1: dumbass moron to think doing that interview is a good idea.
• 37:50
Speaker 1: There was never a point in time when that interview
• 37:53
Speaker 1: should have even been a thing for Prince Andrew. The
• 37:56
Speaker 1: answer should have been, no thank you, I'll pass. And
• 37:59
Speaker 1: if you're innocent, or if Jeffrey Epstein was blackmailing you
• 38:02
Speaker 1: or something, you should have went to the authorities and
• 38:04
Speaker 1: sat down with the FBI and spilled the beans. You
• 38:07
Speaker 1: didn't do anything like that. What you did was you
• 38:10
Speaker 1: retreated behind your mom's skirts. Prince Andrew was warned it
• 38:15
Speaker 1: was a bad idea for him to discuss his links
• 38:18
Speaker 1: with disgraced financier pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Newsnight, a friend
• 38:23
Speaker 1: revealed yesterday. Lawyer Paul Tweed said he advised the Duke
• 38:27
Speaker 1: of York against speaking to the BBC about his links
• 38:30
Speaker 1: with the convicted pedophile and then told the senior.
• 38:34
Speaker 2: Aide, is he mad? No way. No, no, no.
• 38:38
Speaker 1: He said Andrew ignored his advice and made his mind
• 38:41
Speaker 1: up to tell his version of events to the broadcaster.
• 38:45
Speaker 1: And when you have a friend of yours who's a
• 38:46
Speaker 1: lawyer telling you this, a good lawyer, and you know,
• 38:49
Speaker 1: not somebody you're paying, but a good lawyer who's just
• 38:51
Speaker 1: a friend, and they're advising you not to have this
• 38:54
Speaker 1: conversation on national TV, it's probably a good idea to
• 38:59
Speaker 1: listen to what they're saying. And if not, well, you
• 39:01
Speaker 1: only have yourself to blame. And Prince Andrew, once again,
• 39:05
Speaker 1: has made a cage of his very own design that
• 39:08
Speaker 1: he's living in. This man has created all of his
• 39:12
Speaker 1: own problems. Nobody created these problems for him. Nobody told
• 39:16
Speaker 1: him to pal around with Epstein. Nobody told him to
• 39:19
Speaker 1: be a general all-around dickhead. He chose to do all
• 39:22
Speaker 1: of that, just like he chose to ignore the good
• 39:25
Speaker 1: advice of his friend here, Paul Tweed, and do the interview.
• 39:29
Speaker 1: The disastrous two 2019 interview and its fallout effectively ended
• 39:33
Speaker 1: Andrew's role in public life. The Duke admitted he had
• 39:36
Speaker 1: visited Epstein shortly after the billionaire financier, pedophiles, released from
• 39:41
Speaker 1: jail for soliciting underage sex, and said, that was the
• 39:45
Speaker 1: wrong decision. Yeah, you think? The wrong decision? the Prince
• 39:49
Speaker 1: of England, a Prince of the Blood, going to hang
• 39:52
Speaker 1: out with a convicted pedophile, sleeping on his couch, breaking
• 39:56
Speaker 1: bread with him, and doing Lord knows what else, I
• 39:59
Speaker 1: think it's safe to say that that ranks right up
• 40:02
Speaker 1: near the top of bad decisions of all time. He
• 40:06
Speaker 1: said he did not regret his association with Epstein as
• 40:09
Speaker 1: it had some seriously beneficial outcomes and gave no apology
• 40:13
  Speaker 1: to Epstein's victims.
• 40:15
  Speaker 2: No, he didn't.
• 40:16
Speaker 1: He sat there and acted like he was being victimized
• 40:19
Speaker 1: or something, like he was being wrongfully targeted.
• 40:23
  Speaker 2: Bro.
• 40:24
Speaker 1: Everything you did with your boy Epstein, everything you did
• 40:27
Speaker 1: with all of the other undesirable scumbags you were hanging
• 40:31
Speaker 1: out with, you have to know at some point was
• 40:34
Speaker 1: going to come home and those chickens were going to roost.
• 40:37
Speaker 1: But when you're somebody like Prince Andrew and you have
• 40:40
Speaker 1: these kinds of narcissistic traits, you don't see that for
• 40:43
Speaker 1: what it is. You don't see that there's a problem
• 40:46
Speaker 1: with what you're doing because guess what? You can never
• 40:50
Speaker 1: be wrong, right? You're always in the right on Prince Andrew.
• 40:54
Speaker 1: I've never been reprimanded. I've never been punished. I've never
• 40:57
Speaker 1: been told no. So why should I be told no now?
• 41:00
Speaker 1: And that's the way Prince Andrew has always lived his life.
• 41:04
Speaker 1: And thankfully, he had a nice dose of reality during
• 41:08
Speaker 1: this interview when basically a bucket of cold ass water
• 41:12
Speaker 1: was dumped on his head and he was told it
• 41:15
Speaker 1: was time to wake up. But unfortunately, he seems to
• 41:18
Speaker 1: still be sleepwalking through life. The interview is now at
• 41:22
Speaker 1: the center of a two-part Channel 4 documentary, Andrew, The
• 41:25
Speaker 1: Problem Prince. The program includes insights from the Newsnight team,
• 41:30
Speaker 1: which filmed the interview, journalist Emily Maitlis, and producer Sam McAllister,
• 41:35
Speaker 1: lawyers for one of the Epstein survivors, and Andrew's friends.
• 41:40
  Speaker 2: Mr.
• 41:40
Speaker 1: Tweed, a defamation lawyer and long-standing friend of the Duke,
• 41:44
Speaker 1: said he was told about the plans for an interview
• 41:47
Speaker 1: a month before it was filmed. Speaking to Andrew as
• 41:51
Speaker 1: a friend, he said, look, that would not be a
• 41:54
Speaker 1: good idea, sir. He then got a call from Andrew's
• 41:57
Speaker 1: then chief of staff, Amanda Thirsk, saying the Duke had
• 42:01
Speaker 1: decided to do the interview. And we know that Amanda
• 42:03
Speaker 1: Thirsk lost her job as well. She's no longer working
• 42:07
Speaker 1: with the prince. Who the hell knows what she's up to?
• 42:09
Speaker 1: But she got canned in the end as well. Anybody
• 42:12
Speaker 1: who was OK with Andrew doing this interview should be fired.
• 42:18
Speaker 1: And look, like the rest of you, I'm over the
• 42:20
Speaker 1: moon that he did it. Anytime one of these clowns
• 42:22
Speaker 1: wants to get on TV, open their big fat yaps
• 42:25
Speaker 1: and expose themselves, I'm all for it. But as far
• 42:29
Speaker 1: as he's concerned, and as far as his camp is concerned, oh,
• 42:32
Speaker 1: I'm sure there were many nights of people staying up
• 42:35
Speaker 1: with Ajita, freaking out that.
• 42:37
Speaker 2: This idiot was going to do this interview.
• 42:40
Speaker 1: And when you have a good friend of yours, like
• 42:42
Speaker 1: Paul Tweed, telling you, bro, you're making a big mistake.
• 42:46
Speaker 2: You should probably listen.
• 42:49
Speaker 1: Mr. Tweed told the Channel 4 documentary, I said, is
• 42:52
  Speaker 1: he mad?
• 42:53
Speaker 2: No way. No, no, no.
• 42:55
Speaker 1: That's a bad idea. You should not do it. Amanda
• 42:58
Speaker 1: just said, look, Paul, I've got to go.
• 43:00
Speaker 2: I'll call you later.
• 43:01
Speaker 1: The phone was put down abruptly and that was it.
• 43:05
Speaker 1: So instead of taking the advice of his lawyer friend, Mr.
• 43:08
Speaker 1: Tweed here, he's taking the advice of all of the
• 43:11
Speaker 1: yes men that are around him. And that's the biggest problem.
• 43:15
Speaker 1: When you're surrounded by yes men, And nobody has the
• 43:17
Speaker 1: courage to ever say to you, look, you're acting out
• 43:20
Speaker 1: of line. You're talking out of the side of your neck.
• 43:22
Speaker 1: You're being stupid. Well, you're just going to go on
• 43:25
Speaker 1: and continue to be stupid. And you know what they say, right?
• 43:29
Speaker 1: Play stupid games and you win stupid prizes. And Prince
• 43:32
Speaker 1: Andrew is the king of winning stupid prizes. So obviously
• 43:36
Speaker 1: the Duke, for better or for worse, had made up
• 43:38
Speaker 1: his mind. He was going to do it. The Duke
• 43:41
Speaker 1: made that decision on his own against most advice. Mr.
• 43:45
Speaker 1: Tweed said Andrew was a very decent, straightforward individual, but
• 43:50
Speaker 1: believes he had been very naive in his dealings with Epstein.
• 43:54
Speaker 2: Oh, give me a break. It's always naive this, naive that.
• 43:57
  Speaker 2: Vafangul naive.
• 43:58
Speaker 1: He knew what he was doing, and he chose to
• 44:00
Speaker 1: chill with Epstein even when Epstein was outed. So I
• 44:03
Speaker 1: don't want to hear shit about, oh, he's naive. He
• 44:05
Speaker 1: didn't know who Epstein was. He didn't know what Epstein
• 44:08
Speaker 1: was up to. Everybody knew. He said the relationship was
• 44:12
Speaker 1: totally ill-judged, totally inappropriate, and he believed Epstein had set
• 44:17
Speaker 1: up a notorious photo of himself with the Duke in
• 44:20
Speaker 1: New York Central Park in 2010. We know that's not
• 44:24
Speaker 1: true either. We've heard from the photographers who took the photo,
• 44:28
Speaker 1: who said they just happened to see this situation unfolding
• 44:31
Speaker 1: and were in the right place at the right time.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: Andrew's camp, though, they floated the idea that this was
• 44:36
Speaker 1: all a setup. Epstein had served an 18-month sentence for
• 44:41
Speaker 1: soliciting sex from an underage girl in Florida and had
• 44:44
Speaker 1: been released from prison just months before Andrew visited him
• 44:48
Speaker 1: in New York. He was later found dead in his
• 44:50
Speaker 1: prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
• 44:56
Speaker 1: So your boy gets out of jail, right, for sex
• 44:59
Speaker 1: offense crimes, and then you, the Prince of England, decide
• 45:02
Speaker 1: you're going to fly across the pond and go stay
• 45:04
Speaker 1: at his house. And then you're going to tell us
• 45:06
Speaker 1: you did all of that because you wanted to tell
• 45:08
Speaker 1: him you didn't want to be friends anymore. That's your story.
• 45:12
Speaker 1: That's the narrative you're sticking to. No wonder your friends
• 45:15
Speaker 1: didn't want you to do that interview.
• 45:18
  Speaker 2: Mr.
• 45:19
Speaker 1: Tweed, who has represented Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in civil litigation,
• 45:23
Speaker 1: said the effect of the Newsnight interview on the Duke
• 45:26
Speaker 1: and his family has been horrendous, but believed he could
• 45:30
Speaker 1: return to public life, saying, I would never say never
• 45:33
Speaker 1: in any case. Well, He must be smoking mushrooms because
• 45:36
Speaker 1: there's no way Prince Andrew is ever coming back to
• 45:40
Speaker 1: public life. Unless, of course, he provides some evidence that
• 45:43
Speaker 1: shows that his accuser is not telling the truth.
• 45:46
Speaker 2: You have that evidence. Let's see it.
• 45:48
Speaker 1: But until you can provide something as far as evidence
• 45:51
Speaker 1: is concerned, shut up and go back to the stable
• 45:55
Speaker 1: and muck the shit. In the Newsnight interview, Andrew denied
• 46:00
Speaker 1: claims from one of Epstein's survivors, Virginia Roberts, that she
• 46:04
Speaker 1: was trafficked to have sex with him in 2001, when
• 46:07
  Speaker 1: she was 17.
• 46:09
  Speaker 2: He told Ms.
• 46:09
Speaker 1: Maitlis he did not remember meeting Ms. Roberts, and he
• 46:13
Speaker 1: was at a birthday party at a Pizza Express in
• 46:16
Speaker 1: Woking on the day she said that they met. Him
• 46:19
Speaker 1: going to a Pizza Express in Woking is like Bill
• 46:23
Speaker 1: Clinton going to your local Pizza Hut. It's not going
• 46:25
Speaker 1: to happen. He also denied her recollection of him sweating
• 46:29
Speaker 1: heavily as they danced at a nightclub in central London.
• 46:33
Speaker 1: and insisted he had been unable to sweat after an
• 46:36
Speaker 1: adrenaline overdose during the Falklands War. Meanwhile, there's tons of
• 46:40
Speaker 1: pictures of Dum Dum over here sweating through his shirt.
• 46:45
Speaker 1: Andrew Pater reported £ 9. 6 million settlement to Ms. Roberts after
• 46:50
Speaker 1: she launched a civil lawsuit in New York accusing him
• 46:53
Speaker 1: of sexual abuse, although he continues to deny any wrongdoing. Ms.
• 46:58
Speaker 1: Roberts' lawyer, Sigrid McCauley, said the Newsnight interview gave her
• 47:02
Speaker 1: a roadmap to tear him apart in the civil claim. 100%. Again,
• 47:07
Speaker 1: I've said it from the beginning, and I'll continue to
• 47:10
Speaker 1: say it, folks. Prince Andrew is his own worst enemy.
• 47:14
Speaker 1: All right, folks, that's going to do it for this one.
• 47:18
Speaker 1: All of the information that goes with the episode can
• 47:20
Speaker 1: be found in the description box.
