  SPEAKER_00: I do understand.
• 0:01
SPEAKER_00: You are getting married and you want to invite everybody, and in the back of your mind, you're thinking, not everybody's gonna RSVP that they're gonna be able to come.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_00: So I think that's what brought this couple to the fact that they have literally way too many guests coming for the venue they booked for the reception.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_01: You think they actually intentionally did it then, is what you're saying.
• 0:24
SPEAKER_00: I think they were so excited that they're getting married that they didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings, and they sent out, let's say it was a venue that fits 150 people.
• 0:33
  SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
• 0:34
SPEAKER_00: And they sent out 225 invitations.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_00: Well, all of a sudden you're sitting at 75 more people because everybody said, Yes, we're coming.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_00: Now they have to whittle it back down to you have to cut 75 people.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_00: I mind you, I don't know their numbers, but I'm going with that as a that's an easy number to play with.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_01: I can agree with you.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_01: Finding a way to whittle those people down for me would be so hard.
• 0:58
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 0:59
SPEAKER_00: Even with the tiering of friends and all that, it and friends that I mean, you know, you know your core has to be there in your family, but even the next level, I hate to say the next level down, but even that group where you're like, well, you invited them because you're so excited and you know you like them, but you only see them five times a year.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_01: Well, I've had the wedding conversation in my past, and because I have so many awesome friends, it was, have you talked to them in the past five years?
• 1:28
SPEAKER_01: If you haven't, they're not making the cuts.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, but that would have been great to have happen before she's in this situation.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: Now she's got to get rid of people.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: I have a I have an idea, but I'll wait for the text call.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_01: Samantha says, This would be way too overwhelming for me.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_01: I've just been like, I'm not getting married.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_00: And you put yourself in that position.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_01: Then we also have from 6528.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_01: I would just be honest with the guests and ask for volunteers.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_01: People that are going because they feel obligated to go will opt out.
• 1:57
  SPEAKER_01: That is true.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_01: I you're gonna have some, you're at least gonna have, I would say, 26 people who will opt out.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: Your parents' best friends don't.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_00: I mean, yes, they've been there all along since you were in diapers, but I don't know.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_01: My parents, my parents do the same thing.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, you you have to, there's this guy, Haleem Youssef.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_01: You have to invite Haleem Youssef.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_01: Your dad's worked with him since I'm like, I haven't talked to Haleem Yusuf since I was 18.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_00: So I have an option, and I don't know if it's something that you're gonna want to entertain or not, but you know, you dug yourself into this hole.
• 2:29
SPEAKER_00: I don't like Allie's idea of sending out a group text because then everybody can see the responses.
• 2:35
SPEAKER_00: Even if you write in the group text, do not reply all, message me directly.
• 2:40
SPEAKER_00: You always know Beth is the one.
• 2:42
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_00: Beth is gonna flip and text back.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, I really want to come.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_00: And then so it's like, Beth, God dang it, you didn't read the part where I said text me directly.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_01: It's like those reply alls in our work emails.
• 2:55
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, yeah.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_00: It literally got to the point here at the radio station in our entire company, they said, do not reply all because you dumb.
• 3:03
  SPEAKER_00: You reply all.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: So either way, that's not the way to go do it.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_00: If they really are looking for a way to throw people off the scent, now this is a little extreme, but here hear me.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_00: Okay, call the venue and ask them if they have a date a month later, and then let send out a notice to everybody saying we've had to postpone the wedding due to the venue having a double booking.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_00: These are all CLIs, uh-huh, okay, but it's taking the pain off you, and then what you do is you reset out a batch of invitations covering just the hundred people you can have, not the two hundred.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but it's a lot of work.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_01: Well, that and it's never gonna happen because venues are booked a year to two years in advance, and then the other thing is people who are going, they're going to they're gonna see your pictures, they're gonna see all the that their other friends were there.
• 3:58
  SPEAKER_01: That's a terrible idea.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_00: Okay, then I got another idea.
• 4:01
  SPEAKER_00: How about this?
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: You know, when you go to the amusement park and you know, you're or or even uh years ago you'd go to a nightclub and you'd have to stand in line.
• 4:08
  SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_00: So you hire a bouncer and you get two sets of wristbands, blue ones and yellow ones.
• 4:15
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_00: The blue group gets to go in from uh 6 p.m.
• 4:19
  SPEAKER_00: to eight p.m.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_00: The red cow gets to come in from 8 p.m.
• 4:23
  SPEAKER_00: to 10.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_01: I'm in the middle of dancing to shout.
• 4:25
SPEAKER_01: You know, you make me wanna shout.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_00: And then all of a sudden And now we gotta switch groups.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_01: Right, and then the bouncer comes, Allie.
• 4:34
SPEAKER_01: I'm not done with my shard today.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_01: You're out, get out of here.
