- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a
- 0:15Speaker 1: former Hallmark hater. And while there's no such thing as
- 0:18Speaker 1: an emergency podcast when it comes to podcasting about Hallmark,
- 0:21Speaker 1: the amount of news dropped by Hallmark this week is
- 0:24Speaker 1: the closest thing we'll ever get. So here we are
- 0:28Speaker 1: Megan texting me frantically. She's like, there's so much news
- 0:32Speaker 1: coming out. We have to do a headlines episode. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: was traveling the day all this news dropped, and I
- 0:38Speaker 1: felt panicked. I was like, I gotta I got to
- 0:41Speaker 1: update the website and I and I'm like texting her
- 0:46Speaker 1: from home, like, uh, okay, I gotta what a what
- 0:49Speaker 1: do I need to do? Where are you finding this stuff?
- 0:52Speaker 1: I couldn't find anything. It was just not on the
- 0:56Speaker 1: Hallmark pulse right now, Well, head on over to Girl's
- 0:59Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark dot com or we have tons of new
- 1:01Speaker 1: information in this episode. We have countdown to Christmas news,
- 1:07Speaker 1: we have Halloween news, we have news out of Hallmark's
- 1:10Speaker 1: Birthday party. We have a brand new series coming to
- 1:13Speaker 1: Hallmark Plus. So let's get into it. Okay, if you
- 1:19Speaker 1: didn't know, Hallmark had a birthday. They turned twenty five,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and I laughed so hard because our favorite Hallmark PR
- 1:27Speaker 1: dude Pete posted on his stories Hallmark's too old to
- 1:32Speaker 1: date Leonardo DiCaprio, Oh my god, that's so funny. So
- 1:38Speaker 1: there were two events that were associated with this. They
- 1:40Speaker 1: had a fan event at the ninety second Street. Why
- 1:43Speaker 1: there were panels moderated by Brian Heldman of People Front
- 1:47Speaker 1: of the Show over here, and they sold tickets to this,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and you could also purchase the online tickets for this event.
- 1:54Speaker 1: This kind of is in line with their just coming
- 1:57Speaker 1: off their Stars on Stage tour, where they were doing
- 2:01Speaker 1: ten stops up and down the East Coast. Actually that's
- 2:04Speaker 1: not true. It wasn't all East Coast, but the East.
- 2:07Speaker 1: For me, anything that's like eastern of us, like, that's
- 2:12Speaker 1: the East. It's not over here in California. So they
- 2:15Speaker 1: had just done all these stops, so they had, fortunately
- 2:18Speaker 1: for them lined up perfectly. And who I have to
- 2:21Speaker 1: assume that was intentional. We got all these stars on hand,
- 2:25Speaker 1: might as well line that up with this twenty shirt event. Yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 1: of course. And then they did a sunset cruise on
- 2:33Speaker 1: the Hudson with the stars, with the pr there were
- 2:37Speaker 1: writers there is this just like a boondoggle, Like there
- 2:41Speaker 1: weren't any like fans on that like Sunset Cruise. Right,
- 2:44Speaker 1: what does the word boondoggle mean? We've always used it
- 2:47Speaker 1: in terms of like it's it's a fun event, but
- 2:51Speaker 1: it's cloaked in a work event. Oh yeah, I don't
- 2:55Speaker 1: I don't know if that that's how we've used it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: When I worked in that corporate setting a million years ago,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it was definitely a work event designed to look fun.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I mean, you know, Hallmark PR was there, Darren Abbott's there. No,
- 3:09Speaker 1: it's the other way around. It was actually a fun event,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but it was looking like a work Yeah, got it. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I mean I mean a little bit of both. Right,
- 3:17Speaker 1: let me ask you this question. If you're not invited,
- 3:21Speaker 1: if you're a Hallmark star and you're not invited to
- 3:23Speaker 1: be on this like cruiz event thing, are you feeling
- 3:27Speaker 1: fomo are kind of like, well, why wasn't I invited? Oh?
- 3:30Speaker 1: I would never let go of that. But also, and
- 3:32Speaker 1: I know you're not saying this, but for the listeners,
- 3:35Speaker 1: there were twenty two stars there. I think we can
- 3:38Speaker 1: assume more were invited, Like Paul Campbell's not there. There's
- 3:44Speaker 1: there's no part of me that thinks Paul Campbell wouldn't
- 3:47Speaker 1: have been included had he been available. Interesting. You know
- 3:51Speaker 1: a name that is kind of had me go hmmm
- 3:55Speaker 1: reading this is Holly Robinson Pete. That she was there? Yes, yeah,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I mean I think she's an important part of Hallmark history.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Just because she may not be a regular on the
- 4:06Speaker 1: channel these days, is she in a project coming up?
- 4:10Speaker 1: I believe she is. Look, if you're not following Holly
- 4:14Speaker 1: Robinson Pete on Threads, you should, Oh is she a
- 4:18Speaker 1: good time over on Threads? She's like on our side,
- 4:22Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 1: if you listen to Patreon, you know that I am
- 4:27Speaker 1: a regular Jeff Lewis Live listener and she's on that
- 4:30Speaker 1: show regularly. Oh she just let it fly over there.
- 4:35Speaker 1: She's funny. She talks about like family life a lot. Gotcha, Yeah, gotcha,
- 4:39Speaker 1: And like how her husband sleeps in the ADU. She's like, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 1: that's why we're still married. I often sleep in the
- 4:46Speaker 1: extra bedroom because I like a good night's sleep. Sure, yes,
- 4:51Speaker 1: there it is. Oh, now I'm on Holly Robinson Pete
- 4:54Speaker 1: Threads and she's talking about Jackie and Shadows babies fledged
- 4:59Speaker 1: do you know? Oh they did, yes, and Shadows all alone,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and Jackie didn't get to say of that because if
- 5:06Speaker 1: you know, Shadow in Jackie Jackie's chest, Shadows going like
- 5:10Speaker 1: where's Jackie? Don't you think he's wondering where Jackie is? Yes,
- 5:13Speaker 1: he doesn't. They can't tell Shadow that Jackie's being like
- 5:16Speaker 1: rehabbed right now, Like, wouldn't it be great if Shadow
- 5:20Speaker 1: could have a live stream of Jackie the way we
- 5:22Speaker 1: have a life. Oh my god. If you don't know
- 5:25Speaker 1: what we're talking about, just google Jackie and Shadow. When
- 5:27Speaker 1: I walk into my parents' house often the big Bear
- 5:30Speaker 1: cam is like on their big screen TV. Yeah. I
- 5:32Speaker 1: walked into I don't know if it was the car
- 5:34Speaker 1: wash recently or somewhere, and the cam was on. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: was like, that's cool, that's cool that they have that
- 5:39Speaker 1: on in here. I love it anyway, Yes, I would
- 5:42Speaker 1: be hurt forever if Hallmark didn't invite me. There were
- 5:45Speaker 1: no when calls. The Heart stars on this list as well. Interesting,
- 5:50Speaker 1: that's a staple for homework. They're not intentionally being laughed out.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I mean, Kevin McGary is in a movie this Christmas
- 5:56Speaker 1: with daniell La Monet. Somebody tagged me and in our
- 6:00Speaker 1: Facebook group shout out Lisa and was like, Wendy, did
- 6:03Speaker 1: you see Wowie Zowie Webster? Did you get eyes on
- 6:07Speaker 1: Victor Webster from this? I did. I have no words.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I have no words in a good way. I didn't
- 6:14Speaker 1: see that coming kind of way. Like the hair was wild.
- 6:18Speaker 1: He had like a full face beard, very salt and peppery. Well,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I have two hundred press images downloaded on my computer,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so we will have to include some. Let me see
- 6:29Speaker 1: if I can find some. Wow. I was into it,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but oh yeah, his beard is very salt and peppery.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah right, and is his hair kind of like wild?
- 6:37Speaker 1: His hair is longer than I wouldn't call it wild.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I think it's longer than we're used to sing. Let
- 6:45Speaker 1: me tell you. There are some photos of bj Britt
- 6:46Speaker 1: and his big bright smile and I can't get over it,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna set it is my death stop background
- 6:51Speaker 1: one of these days. Jonathan Bennett in a sleeveless sweater
- 6:54Speaker 1: with another sweater over his shoulders. I know, kind of
- 6:59Speaker 1: into that too. There were some fashion looks. If you guys,
- 7:03Speaker 1: we'll put a bunch of pictures on our website, Girls
- 7:05Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark. Yeah, we have a full roundup of the event.
- 7:08Speaker 1: There are some pictures there. We'll add more to this
- 7:10Speaker 1: post as well. Here's a great shot of Victor Webster.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Oh I'm gonna texted to you right now. Okay, Oh,
- 7:16Speaker 1: this isn't the picture I saw, but I'm into this
- 7:18Speaker 1: monochromatic look. So, and his hair is longer and he wow,
- 7:23Speaker 1: his beard's like white almost. Yeah. So the picture is
- 7:26Speaker 1: from the event at the why and then of course
- 7:29Speaker 1: those are two separate days. The y was one day
- 7:32Speaker 1: and then the boat was the next day. Is he
- 7:34Speaker 1: playing Santa this year somewhere? Like he's so with this
- 7:37Speaker 1: white beard. I can't handle it, but it looks good.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I mean, he holds on to his wawie zowie status.
- 7:44Speaker 1: One thing to note about this, it's a little bit
- 7:46Speaker 1: of a cross promo for Paris is always a good
- 7:48Speaker 1: idea without specifically saying that. At the boat event there
- 7:52Speaker 1: was a macroom car as they are boarding, and it
- 7:54Speaker 1: says like macaroons are always a good idea. And then
- 7:57Speaker 1: their tote bags included items from the Lazy Ship collection.
- 8:01Speaker 1: What like what it doesn't say? I don't she has
- 8:04Speaker 1: like a home items Yeah, at Hallmark dot Com or
- 8:08Speaker 1: something like that. I'm guessing, got it, got it, got it?
- 8:10Speaker 1: And then there were writers invited. Now the writers are
- 8:14Speaker 1: not in the press photos. Unfortunately, I was like eagle
- 8:17Speaker 1: eyes looking for Julie Sherman Wolf because Julie Sherman Wolf,
- 8:20Speaker 1: Nina Winman, Tracy Andrene were there and look. I looked
- 8:24Speaker 1: at Julie Sherman Wolf's IMDb. Right, there's nothing listed. We're
- 8:30Speaker 1: going to talk about some of the movies coming out.
- 8:32Speaker 1: She could be attached to one of those. But I'm diet, like,
- 8:34Speaker 1: what is she doing? Hopefully we're getting something from her,
- 8:38Speaker 1: because we had a Julie Sherman Wolf free countdown to
- 8:43Speaker 1: Christmas in twenty twenty five, and I am missing her
- 8:46Speaker 1: voice on the network. Yeah. We haven't had a movie
- 8:48Speaker 1: from her all year either, oh point, so I'm very
- 8:51Speaker 1: curious what she's working on. Hopefully it's something amazing. Nevertheless,
- 8:56Speaker 1: she's done great things for the network and absolutely should
- 8:58Speaker 1: be in we have a countdown to Christmas start date
- 9:03Speaker 1: kind of kind of what we do know is at
- 9:05Speaker 1: holiday Touchdown A Bear's Love Story will premiere on Saturday,
- 9:10Speaker 1: October seventeenth, So this movie is going to is going
- 9:16Speaker 1: to be opening weekend for countdown to Christmas. Correct. Yes,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm kind of shocked by this news, as am I.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I thought this was going to be later in November
- 9:26Speaker 1: like it has been for the last two years. But hey,
- 9:29Speaker 1: let's go out swinging. I mean, I guess no, let's
- 9:33Speaker 1: start off. No, yeah, come out swinging. That's it. We
- 9:36Speaker 1: are also guessing that Mistletoe Murders will premiere on Friday,
- 9:41Speaker 1: October sixteenth, with eight episodes this season, but this is unconfirmed,
- 9:46Speaker 1: so this is a guess on our part. Yeah, it's
- 9:49Speaker 1: really a guess on stealing the brain of Sleepy Kiddie Pod,
- 9:53Speaker 1: that is what they're guessing over there. Saturday and Sundays
- 9:57Speaker 1: will be new movies. Fridays will be Mistletoe Murder episodes.
- 10:00Speaker 1: In the past we would get two Missletone Murders episodes
- 10:03Speaker 1: on Fridays. The guesses that will get one every Friday,
- 10:06Speaker 1: and then movies on Saturday and Sunday, and then obviously
- 10:08Speaker 1: a bigger block during mary Thanksgiving weekend. But of course
- 10:11Speaker 1: we don't have all of those details. We just have
- 10:14Speaker 1: a few movie dates. I'm kind of thinking, like the
- 10:18Speaker 1: way I see a Hallmark has three big tent pole
- 10:20Speaker 1: movies this season. We've got The Bears, We've got Builtmore, Builtmore,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and we've got Disney and so they're like three collaborative
- 10:28Speaker 1: movies and they're spread out throughout the season. Thank you, Right, Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 1: I'm totally fine with kicking this movie off. Last year,
- 10:38Speaker 1: for reference or Royal Montana Christmas was the kickoff movie.
- 10:42Speaker 1: While that movie was just okay, did have the steamiest
- 10:45Speaker 1: kiss of the season for sure? Yeah you still remember
- 10:48Speaker 1: it absolutely. Yeah. Different vibes, different kind of vibes, different
- 10:53Speaker 1: kind of structuring vibes of their season or the countdown
- 10:56Speaker 1: to Christmas season. I don't know, I'm kind of into it.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And look, this is not really news because Hallmark was
- 11:04Speaker 1: scooped by Eagle Eye TikTokers on the Bear's cast and
- 11:07Speaker 1: then they were forced to make kind of a social
- 11:10Speaker 1: media announcement about the stars, perhaps earlier than they had
- 11:13Speaker 1: wanted to. I'm not really sure why they hold on
- 11:17Speaker 1: to that information, Like I think allowing the stars people
- 11:21Speaker 1: love behind the scenes, yeah, like let them TikTok and
- 11:24Speaker 1: Instagram from the set, Let them share, let them build
- 11:27Speaker 1: up that momentum. But Hallmark loves an announcement, So here's
- 11:31Speaker 1: our official cast announcement for the Bears Love Story. Lindsay
- 11:35Speaker 1: Vonseca and Robert Buckley and not Junior Will Starr. Marsha Mason,
- 11:39Speaker 1: who is a four time Academy Award nominee. Barbara Allen
- 11:43Speaker 1: Woods and Karrie Peyton also are involved. I don't know
- 11:48Speaker 1: Marcia Mason or Curry Peyton are Marsha Mason. The only
- 11:52Speaker 1: show that I have seen of hers is Grayson Frankie.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I recognize her face, yes, for sure. Barbara Allen Woods
- 11:59Speaker 1: was on One Tree Hill with Robert Buckley. I did
- 12:02Speaker 1: not watch One Tree Hill. She was a mom on there.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Uh huh. Cary Peyton, Hello, who are you? Not a
- 12:11Speaker 1: typical homewark name walking dead dude? Oh? Interesting? And a
- 12:17Speaker 1: lot of voice work, A lot of voice work. Now.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm not a football person, but there are quite a
- 12:24Speaker 1: people from Bears universe. Head coach Ben Johnson, who you
- 12:27Speaker 1: said is not super media friendly, who my husband said
- 12:31Speaker 1: is not apparently, but hey, I can't believe he's in this. Okay,
- 12:35Speaker 1: tight ends Colston Loveland and Cole Met alumni Mike Singletary,
- 12:40Speaker 1: Charles Tillman, Dan Hampton, Connie Payton, who is the wife
- 12:44Speaker 1: of the late Walter Payton, and Staley the Bear the mascot.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I didn't know they had an actual Oh okay, I
- 12:51Speaker 1: mean he's a mascot. It's a dude in a bear's costume.
- 12:54Speaker 1: But Staley so interesting. Cool, He's going to make an
- 12:59Speaker 1: appearance in the Do I love it? Now. Here's what
- 13:02Speaker 1: I find very interesting. There are cameos in this movie,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and Homework has announced them. Cameos from that are not
- 13:08Speaker 1: Bears related. Yeah, so Tamara mow Ray Housley and Mary
- 13:12Speaker 1: Lou Henner make cameos. Those are just fun for us
- 13:17Speaker 1: to notice as we're watching be like Peter Budson, what
- 13:20Speaker 1: are you doing here? Yeah? Yeah, Ta Mara mow Ray
- 13:22Speaker 1: House Lee, what are you doing here? I really don't
- 13:25Speaker 1: understand it. Honestly. Maybe they're like, we want to be
- 13:28Speaker 1: the ones to give you this information, not anybody else.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I kind of wish they would not
- 13:33Speaker 1: announce the cameos. Yeah, that's kind of more fun when
- 13:37Speaker 1: when we have that moment of like, what are you
- 13:38Speaker 1: doing here? Interesting? Are you looking forward to this Bears
- 13:41Speaker 1: movie as much as I'm looking forward to anything right now? Sure,
- 13:45Speaker 1: I want to talk about the Chicago Bears Santa ornament.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Mm hmm. I mean, of course, Homark's gonna try to
- 13:51Speaker 1: get their merch. My brother in law is a huge
- 13:54Speaker 1: Bears fan. I'm like, I guess I'm gonna have to
- 13:56Speaker 1: buy this santt ornament for him to You already bought
- 14:00Speaker 1: him the Lacy Shebert ornament, so now he needs the
- 14:03Speaker 1: Santa ornament. I have breaking news to announce what. Mister
- 14:09Speaker 1: Palajaja himself has announced that his movie Mimics will be
- 14:13Speaker 1: streaming on Tube starting on August eighteenthanciting I just downloaded
- 14:18Speaker 1: tub for the first time. It's free, right Toob's free. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: so are you watching on tub? I was looking for
- 14:25Speaker 1: something that was only airing there, and now I can't
- 14:27Speaker 1: remember what it is. I have no idea. All right,
- 14:30Speaker 1: white Chicks. Maybe it might have been white Chicks. Gotta
- 14:34Speaker 1: be a Patreon subscriber to have all the details. Guys,
- 14:37Speaker 1: it was, I think that's what it definitely was. Oh
- 14:41Speaker 1: my goodness, Okay, can we move on to the other
- 14:44Speaker 1: tenth Pole movies. Let's do it? Holiday. Ever, after a
- 14:47Speaker 1: Disney World wish come true, will premiere write it down Saturday,
- 14:53Speaker 1: November twenty eighth, Is that Thanksgiving weekend? Indeed? It is
- 14:57Speaker 1: all right. This is, as you guys know, the first
- 15:00Speaker 1: ever partnership between Hallmark Media and Walt Disney World. So
- 15:03Speaker 1: this is going to be like a true Disney, not
- 15:07Speaker 1: Disney adjacent movie. We have a big cast, including Lacy Shavert,
- 15:13Speaker 1: Travis Van Winkle, Blanche of older people. I guess I'm
- 15:17Speaker 1: not surprised that this is going to premiere on Thanksgiving weekend.
- 15:21Speaker 1: What else are they going to have? I hope it's
- 15:23Speaker 1: not other big steff. I hope it's just like you know,
- 15:27Speaker 1: other fun movies. But let's lean into this being like
- 15:31Speaker 1: their big movie. You know, something in me tells me
- 15:33Speaker 1: the Tyler Hines time, that movie will be a merry
- 15:35Speaker 1: Thanksgiving movie weekend. Oh, I bet you're right about that.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Here's a note for the listeners. There is a Hallmark
- 15:43Speaker 1: and Disney panel at the upcoming D twenty three on
- 15:47Speaker 1: August sixteenth. I will probably imagine, like for the big
- 15:52Speaker 1: Disney fans, they'll get like a first look. Yeah, because
- 15:56Speaker 1: there's there's no press photos out from that yet, maybe
- 16:00Speaker 1: we're going to get a movie poster release. Have you
- 16:03Speaker 1: ever been to D twenty three. No, I don't even
- 16:05Speaker 1: know what it is. I guess it's like a fan convention. Yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 1: like comic con for Disney. It's three days. I think
- 16:11Speaker 1: they do it every other year. It's in Anaheim. I
- 16:14Speaker 1: went one year, years and years and years ago. I
- 16:16Speaker 1: actually had free tickets as a blogger way back in
- 16:19Speaker 1: the day. They're kind of expensive. If you're into that,
- 16:25Speaker 1: it's a good time. I kind of was interested in going,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and my son's like a super Disney fan, watches like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you know, behind the scenes Disney YouTube videos the making
- 16:34Speaker 1: of all this, and I was like, maybe he would
- 16:37Speaker 1: like it, and he was like, nah, really Yeah. I
- 16:40Speaker 1: was trying to find like something fun for us to
- 16:42Speaker 1: do because he leaves the country in a few weeks.
- 16:44Speaker 1: But he was not interested. So we will wait for
- 16:47Speaker 1: news about the D twenty three panel. What is so
- 16:50Speaker 1: funny is I'm looking at the headline here, there's a
- 16:54Speaker 1: bunch of like sprinkle of former Disney or Disney movie actors.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Sure we have Christy Carlson Romano who was in Kim Possible.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Do they even have that? The Disney Channel. Of course
- 17:10Speaker 1: they So this is an actor who who was in
- 17:14Speaker 1: those kind of like tween shows. Yeah, Kim Possible is
- 17:19Speaker 1: a cartoon it is. Oh so this is a voice Yeah,
- 17:24Speaker 1: Kim Possible and her sidekick Ron Stoppable, who was voiced
- 17:27Speaker 1: by Wilfredell The Boy Meets World. Oh okay. And then
- 17:32Speaker 1: we have Richard Kind who is in only Murders in
- 17:36Speaker 1: the Building, but he is also the voice of bing
- 17:37Speaker 1: Bong on Inside Out. Yes, bing Bong. Come on, that
- 17:43Speaker 1: looks the most emotionally wrecked I've ever been. Is seeing
- 17:47Speaker 1: someone tweet what if I bing bonged my bing Bong
- 17:49Speaker 1: and I I just that movie did something to me.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I agree. We also have another cameo announcement. You guys,
- 17:59Speaker 1: go ahead, Patrick Renna from The Sandlot, who has been
- 18:02Speaker 1: having a moment. Did you know this? I don't know
- 18:05Speaker 1: who Patrick Grenna is, and I've never seen The Sandlot.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I know it's like a baseball kids baseball movie. Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: it's one of my husband's favorite. Patrick Renna is the redhead.
- 18:14Speaker 1: He yeah, I know those kids. Yeah you do. He's
- 18:18Speaker 1: got quite the TikTok following. He's a good time on
- 18:22Speaker 1: TikTok He also at one of the Anaheim Savannah Bananas games.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Like every Savannah Bananas they bring like a local hero out.
- 18:30Speaker 1: He was one of the cameos basically at one of
- 18:34Speaker 1: the Savannah Bananas games. Anyway, we're getting a Patrick Renna
- 18:38Speaker 1: cameo in this. Okay. The third and final movie that
- 18:41Speaker 1: we have an air date for is A Grand Builtmore Christmas,
- 18:44Speaker 1: which will be airing Saturday, December fifth on the Hallmark Channel.
- 18:48Speaker 1: We know that Holland Roden and Nile Matter are the
- 18:52Speaker 1: stars of this movie. We know Jonathan Frakes is returning
- 18:57Speaker 1: and that Andy McDowell is joining the guest. I'm scrolling
- 19:03Speaker 1: back on my calendar to last December. I want to
- 19:06Speaker 1: see when they're first. I thought, is this the end
- 19:11Speaker 1: of countdown the Christmas? No December fifth? It's not. There's
- 19:15Speaker 1: still at least two more weeks after that. I mean,
- 19:18Speaker 1: it's come real late in the season for this movie.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Are you looking forward to this movie? I am, and
- 19:26Speaker 1: I had the same thought about it being really late
- 19:28Speaker 1: in the season. But remember the Santa Class. Yes, that
- 19:31Speaker 1: was a very late in the season movie and a real banger,
- 19:34Speaker 1: so great. The timing doesn't really mean a whole lot,
- 19:38Speaker 1: like we apply these filters to the date of release.
- 19:42Speaker 1: But I just think they're kind of trying to spread
- 19:45Speaker 1: it out. And I appreciate it because some of the
- 19:48Speaker 1: criticism of the years past, especially the year the Chiefs
- 19:52Speaker 1: movie came out, was that they promoted that and nothing else,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and all of these other movies just flew under the radar,
- 19:57Speaker 1: these really great movies, and so I I think they're
- 20:00Speaker 1: trying to avoid that happening again because Disney's going to
- 20:04Speaker 1: get it. They hurt our cry. Yes, Disney's going to
- 20:06Speaker 1: get so much promo. Bears is going to get so
- 20:09Speaker 1: much promo. I'm sure they have baked in deals with
- 20:12Speaker 1: those X amount of whatever. So the fact that they're
- 20:15Speaker 1: spreading them out allows these other movies that are going
- 20:17Speaker 1: to come out room to breathe. Yeah, I still have
- 20:20Speaker 1: like mixed of feelings about this A Grand Builtmore Christmas.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to it, but I just loved the
- 20:26Speaker 1: first one so much. I just I don't know how
- 20:31Speaker 1: this one can hold up to it. You do make
- 20:34Speaker 1: a good point, hopefully it can just stand on its own.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I do know that Keith costumes Keith Nielsen, who costumed
- 20:40Speaker 1: this movie as well as the original. Feels really strongly
- 20:43Speaker 1: about this movie, and so I have no doubt it
- 20:45Speaker 1: will be visually stunning. Mm hmmm. I'm looking forward to it,
- 20:50Speaker 1: me too. I'm looking forward to it me too. Hey,
- 20:52Speaker 1: let's take a quick break and come back and talk more.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Count on to Christmas News. We have three more exciting
- 21:06Speaker 1: Christmas movie announcements. This came out of their ninety second
- 21:12Speaker 1: Street Y Birthday event. We have an untitled Alison Sweeney
- 21:18Speaker 1: Ashley Williams movie reuniting are two faves from the To
- 21:23Speaker 1: Barcelona Would Love and To Barcelona Forever. It's not an
- 21:29Speaker 1: extension of those movies. It's a whole brand new movie. Correct. Yes,
- 21:33Speaker 1: And I will tell you that Sleepy Kiddie Paw is
- 21:36Speaker 1: calling this I'll be Home for Christmas. I don't know
- 21:38Speaker 1: where that information comes from. That's not the title that's
- 21:40Speaker 1: been released by Homewark. What I'm excited about. It is
- 21:44Speaker 1: directed by a friend of the show, Crystal Low. I
- 21:47Speaker 1: am loving how much she's working. I'm loving it. Thrilled,
- 21:52Speaker 1: Go Crystal, go right. So here's the plot. Cassidy Aid,
- 21:57Speaker 1: played by Ashley Williams, is a no nonsense Chicago lawyer.
- 22:02Speaker 1: She gets stranded on Christmas Eve and she is trying
- 22:05Speaker 1: to reach her father in Nashville. And we have Joe
- 22:09Speaker 1: played by Alison Sweeney, is a sunny fellow traveler, ropes
- 22:12Speaker 1: her into her truck driver brother Chase's road trip them
- 22:17Speaker 1: to another airport. Wow, that didn't sound like English, but
- 22:22Speaker 1: here's my takeaway. We have Ashley Williams playing a no
- 22:26Speaker 1: nonsense Chicago lawyer against type. I know, crazy. I think
- 22:32Speaker 1: they're both playing against type. It's like they've body swapped
- 22:35Speaker 1: for this movie. Kind of fun. And we also have
- 22:37Speaker 1: the inclusion of actor Steve Lunde. He plays the brother
- 22:42Speaker 1: of Alison Sweeney. Steve lund was in those parts around
- 22:46Speaker 1: the Table movies Got It. I was trying to picture him.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I was picturing Steve basic, and I knew that's not
- 22:51Speaker 1: who it was. No, very different people, totally another thing
- 22:56Speaker 1: that I love. In a full circle moment, we have
- 22:59Speaker 1: another Make Her Mark director, budding director. She's shadowing Crystal
- 23:04Speaker 1: low Her name is Sarah Wilson Thacker. Crystal Lowe came
- 23:07Speaker 1: out of the Make Her Mark program and now she's Yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 1: that's amazing, love it. I like that this program just
- 23:13Speaker 1: kind of only quietly operates in the background. Yes, and
- 23:18Speaker 1: it's it hasn't been let go like they're still doing it. Yeah, exactly.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Next up, we have Mistletoe and Mimosas, which is a
- 23:25Speaker 1: working title for a Listen to this, Tamara Moorey Housley
- 23:29Speaker 1: and Christopher Polaha joint together for the very first time.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I need to stop you there. First of all, Mistletoe
- 23:36Speaker 1: and Mimosas if that's I know it's a working title.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I hate an alliteration like that. I can't stand it. Hmmm,
- 23:42Speaker 1: please change the name of this. My second thought, Tamara
- 23:47Speaker 1: Moury Housley and Chris Paula is such a wild pairing. Look,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm so excited about it because I have been saying
- 23:55Speaker 1: for so long, give her a better movie. Uh huh,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and says we go, because not only is she's co
- 24:02Speaker 1: starring alongside Christopher Palaha. This script is written by none
- 24:06Speaker 1: other than Russell Hanline, who, if you've been living under
- 24:08Speaker 1: a rock, is the writer of Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper,
- 24:12Speaker 1: co writer of Wiser and Wisest Men. He wrote The
- 24:15Speaker 1: Santa Summit. M hmm, he wrote The Santa Class. Yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 1: he's a freaking star. Hop Rosty Okay, tell me the plot.
- 24:23Speaker 1: What's the plot here? Claire inherits her uncle Lou's Christmas
- 24:26Speaker 1: themed bar, the Tipsy Reindeer in upstate New York. Wait.
- 24:30Speaker 1: It comes with debt and a trendy rival club called Algorithm.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Zach played by Christopher Palaha, manages Algorithm and wants to
- 24:39Speaker 1: buy her out. They agree to a twelve Days of
- 24:42Speaker 1: Christmas inspired competition to settle it. Interesting. Hmm, this could
- 24:48Speaker 1: be fun. This could be a lot of fun. We'll
- 24:50Speaker 1: be tuning in well, of course. Now a club called
- 24:55Speaker 1: Algorithm makes me laugh. It's giving das sound machine from
- 25:00Speaker 1: Pitch Perfect too. Hilarious, hilarious, hilarious. And why do we
- 25:05Speaker 1: have a Christmas themed bar? What are we gonna get
- 25:09Speaker 1: a cameo from Dasher? I hope? So, oh gosh, that's
- 25:14Speaker 1: so funny. That is so funny. Okay, here is our
- 25:16Speaker 1: next movie that we learned about. Single at the Wedding
- 25:18Speaker 1: also a working title. Jonathan Bennett and Talia Ricci star
- 25:22Speaker 1: as two single friends dodging their families matchmaking at a
- 25:26Speaker 1: last minute Christmas wedding. Production wrapped for this movie in July.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Here are some details that I think we'll have some
- 25:37Speaker 1: fans excited, including me. Hallmark's own synopsis says that both
- 25:41Speaker 1: characters have struck out quote after failing to meet the
- 25:45Speaker 1: right man. So make with that what you will. I'm thrilled. Yeah.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Co stars have not been an announced, but we can
- 25:55Speaker 1: assume that Jonathan Bennett is in a same sex relationship,
- 25:59Speaker 1: which here here. Yeah. God, I'm so excited. I hope
- 26:04Speaker 1: this is fun. I hope this is really fun. Mm hmm.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I would like to point out when we first discussed
- 26:09Speaker 1: Single at the Wedding in a Hallmark Headlines episode, I
- 26:11Speaker 1: was like, Oh, this is coming out of count under
- 26:13Speaker 1: Christmas and You're like, is it? There's nothing Christmas in
- 26:15Speaker 1: the title. So because you said that, it makes me
- 26:19Speaker 1: wonder if we will get a title change before the
- 26:21Speaker 1: lineup is announced. Single at the Christmas Wedding Alone under
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Mistletoe. Oh my god, there it is, Alone under
- 26:32Speaker 1: the Holly. Well, before we get to Christmas, we're gonna
- 26:36Speaker 1: get to Halloween, and we have not one, but two
- 26:39Speaker 1: Halloween movies. I'm so excited. The titles of these have
- 26:43Speaker 1: changed since they were first discussed. So the final two
- 26:47Speaker 1: movies in Hallmark's eight movie Fall Into Love event are
- 26:51Speaker 1: Halloween movies. The first is A Night to Remember, starring
- 26:54Speaker 1: Julie Gonzalo and James Trevenna. Chris McNally also appears in
- 26:57Speaker 1: this movie One Life part of Julie Gonzalo. The synopsis
- 27:02Speaker 1: is a museum conservator restores a statue of a medieval night.
- 27:06Speaker 1: One kiss brings him to life, and she has to
- 27:09Speaker 1: walk him through modern Chicago, pumpkin spies, lattes, a Halloween
- 27:14Speaker 1: medieval fair, and an FBI investigation run by her ex husband.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I need you to look up James Trevanna right now? Okay?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Is he a new member of the Oh? My goodness?
- 27:26Speaker 1: You know what. It's funny because this synopsis was giving
- 27:31Speaker 1: Encino Man okay, and he could absolutely play the modern
- 27:38Speaker 1: day and Sino Man that strong draw line. Who does
- 27:42Speaker 1: it remind me of one of those like what's that guy? Who?
- 27:46Speaker 1: They were married to? Miley Cyrus A Hemsworth. He looks
- 27:50Speaker 1: like a Hemsworth. He looks like a Hemsworth. And there
- 27:54Speaker 1: are also some short list pictures that I don't hate.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Is he going to have long hair? Some of these
- 27:58Speaker 1: photos he has long I don't know. I'm gonna make
- 28:02Speaker 1: over montage on a Hot second, he was in and
- 28:08Speaker 1: I don't remember him in this, but he was in
- 28:10Speaker 1: the movie Lost in Paradise with Lacy Shaver and Ian Hardy. Yes,
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm seeing that, but I don't remember who he played was.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Oh he was one of the pilots. One of the pilots. Well,
- 28:23Speaker 1: this is a lot bigger role for him. Absolutely. Wow.
- 28:28Speaker 1: This movie is set in Chicago. Was it the hold up? What?
- 28:33Speaker 1: James Trevina will also appear in a Grand Built more Christmas.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Oh he's just really having a matter homemarked bag. Geez Louise. Okay,
- 28:44Speaker 1: moving on. Our next Halloween movie is called The Spirit
- 28:47Speaker 1: of Halloween, a premier Saturday, October tenth sars Megan Ory
- 28:51Speaker 1: and Kevin McGarry. It's a Christmas carol for Halloween, which
- 28:57Speaker 1: you're speaking my love language. Thank you very much. Bridal
- 29:02Speaker 1: designer ever Lee Stone gets visited by three spirits after
- 29:05Speaker 1: her late mentor appears with a warning. We also have
- 29:10Speaker 1: Lachlan Quarmby, if you know, from Providence Falls and Hope Valley.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, why do I forget him? On Hope Valley
- 29:20Speaker 1: he plays the Ghost of Halloween Future and I love
- 29:24Speaker 1: this in this movie. I'm so excited. Is this Jeff
- 29:28Speaker 1: Beasley movie? I think so. It is not that vermed,
- 29:33Speaker 1: it's not confirmed. I'm really excited. I love a Christmas
- 29:37Speaker 1: Carol retelling. I love it. I love it, I love it. Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm really excited for this one. I love this too.
- 29:44Speaker 1: And the thing is, although we've certainly done plenty of
- 29:46Speaker 1: Christmas Carol movies, we haven't done a lot of Halloween
- 29:49Speaker 1: movies here on Homework, so it will be fresh enough.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I think I was just gonna ask you. You hate Halloween, so, like,
- 29:54Speaker 1: how do you feel about having to do these Halloween movies? Oh?
- 29:57Speaker 1: I hate dressing up and I don't like things. So
- 30:01Speaker 1: this is perfect because A I don't have to participate,
- 30:04Speaker 1: and B it's Hallmark. It's light and Frotha like I
- 30:06Speaker 1: loved all else the hall Thank you very much. God,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I can't wait. I'm gonna watch that in September. I
- 30:13Speaker 1: love that movie. Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it too.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Our last major announcement is we do have a new
- 30:18Speaker 1: scripted series coming to Hallmark Plus. They're leaning real hard
- 30:22Speaker 1: into these exclusive series. It's called Change of Heart. It
- 30:26Speaker 1: will premiere twenty twenty seven, exclusively on Hallmark Plus. Production
- 30:30Speaker 1: will begin later this year. It is created and executive
- 30:33Speaker 1: produced by Johnny Yumanski and Aaron Gibson. She was the
- 30:36Speaker 1: EP of season two of The Chicken Sisters. The logline
- 30:40Speaker 1: of this one is, after a life changing heart transplant,
- 30:43Speaker 1: jaded divorce attorney Charlie Wyatt is called to service the
- 30:47Speaker 1: exact opposite, fighting for love in all its forms. Do
- 30:51Speaker 1: we think Charlie is a male or a female character?
- 30:55Speaker 1: I think Charlie is going to be a female. I
- 30:56Speaker 1: think so too. Would be highly unusual for Home to
- 31:00Speaker 1: have a male led show, unless it was Tyler Hines. Yes, true,
- 31:07Speaker 1: but we have absolutely no cast information. Yes, after a
- 31:10Speaker 1: life changing to her transplant. Okay, okay, she's a divorce attorney.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Are we going to Did I not mention this a
- 31:17Speaker 1: few weeks ago that I wanted a like a lawyer
- 31:20Speaker 1: type show? You did? Are they listening? Oh? Do you
- 31:26Speaker 1: think this is going to be? Like? Do are we
- 31:27Speaker 1: going to get to see Charlie Wyatt handle divorces? No?
- 31:31Speaker 1: In a trial situation? No? Probably not no, Because now
- 31:34Speaker 1: it says she's now going to be fighting for love
- 31:36Speaker 1: in all of its forms. I don't know what that means.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. Oh, it's call to
- 31:41Speaker 1: service the exact. Yeah, I don't know, I don't know.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I could get down with this. This could be interesting.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Seems like it's filling the hole left behind by the
- 31:51Speaker 1: Way Home. Oh you think, well we needed another not needed?
- 31:56Speaker 1: But it's one series is leaving another one comes in.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I feel this might be on the whole of the
- 32:00Speaker 1: Chicken Sisters. I like that sort of sure, sure, for sure.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I don't think it's the same vibe as The Way Home.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I just mean space got it. But this is only
- 32:10Speaker 1: Homemark Plus, right, only Homewark Plus. I'm in. I like
- 32:16Speaker 1: this series that they're doing. Hope Valley I thought was
- 32:19Speaker 1: really good. Paris is always a good idea. Is excellent
- 32:23Speaker 1: so far. Yeah, absolutely, I'm excited for it. Get those
- 32:27Speaker 1: fifty percent off subscriptions, y'all. I know, I said somebody
- 32:29Speaker 1: in our Facebook group way like, I can't watch Paris
- 32:32Speaker 1: because I don't have Homemark Plus. I can't afford it.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I was like, do you not know how we have
- 32:36Speaker 1: been telling you for ten years that you can't get
- 32:38Speaker 1: it for free with a library card? Got it for free? Yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 1: we are anxiously waiting on the full announcement of the
- 32:45Speaker 1: Countdown to Christmas lineup. I'm dying to know if there's
- 32:47Speaker 1: any new series that we don't know about. Is there
- 32:50Speaker 1: some sort of reality series that we're gonna get? Doubtful?
- 32:53Speaker 1: Probably not. I would be happy if if we only
- 32:57Speaker 1: got Mistletoe Murderslast year we got two. We got the
- 33:01Speaker 1: twelve Dates of Christmas, which was excellent. You should have
- 33:04Speaker 1: watched it. But I like that they're going to do
- 33:06Speaker 1: Missletoe Murders only one episode a week, we think by theory.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I like that this year, and then we're not stuffing
- 33:14Speaker 1: a bunch of steers. It's hard on us, This is
- 33:17Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. So yes, for our personal schedule,
- 33:19Speaker 1: we like that very much. Yeah, exactly, because at this
- 33:23Speaker 1: point we think there will be two movies plus an
- 33:26Speaker 1: episode of Missletoe Murders. Correct for the most part of
- 33:30Speaker 1: correct Countdown to Christmas. Okay, I got to mentally prepare,
- 33:34Speaker 1: mentally prepare myself. Get it out of your Rockie sweats.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. You're going to see me running up and
- 33:40Speaker 1: down the stairs of some Orange County courthouse. Thank you
- 33:45Speaker 1: for listening to this episode of Girls Gone Hamemark If
- 33:48Speaker 1: you have thoughts on these Hallmark headlines, drop us an

- 34:08Speaker 1: all right friends, before we go, just to quick heads up,
- 34:10Speaker 1: you're about to hear some ads. These little gems help
- 34:12Speaker 1: us keep the show running and the Hallmark love flowing.
- 34:16Speaker 1: So do with that info what you will, Grab a snack,
- 34:19Speaker 1: hit the skip button, or maybe just maybe listen in
- 34:22Speaker 1: and discover your new favorite product. Bye Sai
